- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark simonshell delivering the news before it is on
- 0:04Speaker 1: seventy ten.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Wr Hey, finally a beautiful Sonny eighty degree dude. Today,
- 0:15Speaker 2: we got a lot to get to. We'll get to Iran,
- 0:17Speaker 2: and we'll get to FIFA, and we'll get to Platner
- 0:21Speaker 2: and the midterms and a whole lot more well Iran.
- 0:27Speaker 2: President Trump saying the negotiating is over. He said there
- 0:32Speaker 2: are a bunch of liars and creeps, at one point
- 0:34Speaker 2: calling them scum. Now he's a brilliant negotiator, President Trump.
- 0:40Speaker 2: He's done it for years. He's written the book literally
- 0:44Speaker 2: on negotiating the art of the deal. It's forty years
- 0:48Speaker 2: of incredible actually more fifty years of incredible negotiating. So
- 0:52Speaker 2: he knows how to do this as well as anyone
- 0:54Speaker 2: on earth. But his whole life, he's been negotiating with
- 0:58Speaker 2: business people, with unions, with real estate guys, with the
- 1:02Speaker 2: City of New York. You know, well he's building all
- 1:05Speaker 2: over the world, with governments. So whenever you're negotiating with those,
- 1:09Speaker 2: they're somewhat reasonable. Those people they all have their own interests.
- 1:12Speaker 2: You know. Business people are business people. They're at some
- 1:15Speaker 2: point want to make a deal. Same thing with the
- 1:17Speaker 2: government everything else. So this is the first time I
- 1:20Speaker 2: would bet that he's ever dealt with total lunatics. Now,
- 1:25Speaker 2: through the years, when you're building buildings in New York City,
- 1:28Speaker 2: I imagine you got to deal with the mob a lot.
- 1:31Speaker 2: So he's negotiated with the gangsters, the mobsters, he's had
- 1:34Speaker 2: to do that. But again, they're mobsters. It's organized crimes,
- 1:39Speaker 2: so they have a it's an actual business. You can
- 1:42Speaker 2: negotiate with them. But when you're dealing with crazed, fanatic lunatics,
- 1:47Speaker 2: there's no rhyme or reason to anything. So that's the problem.
- 1:51Speaker 2: That's the problem. So he's said, that's it for the negotiating.
- 1:56Speaker 2: We have been bombing as of yesterday, we started about
- 1:59Speaker 2: five o'clock. We've been bombing over and I hit about
- 2:01Speaker 2: eighty five targets. But this is nothing. They're going to
- 2:05Speaker 2: escalate this and they're going to really you know, during
- 2:08Speaker 2: the peace of the last couple of months, the memo
- 2:11Speaker 2: of understanding the peace agreement. You remember for the last
- 2:15Speaker 2: few months, what did you keep hearing over and over again.
- 2:18Speaker 2: They should go in there and finish the job. We
- 2:20Speaker 2: should finish them off. We should finish the job. Well,
- 2:22Speaker 2: I think you can see that happen. Now, you'll see
- 2:25Speaker 2: that happen. Now. The relationship with Israel a bit strained.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Net and Yahoo taking to Twitter or to cable TV
- 2:32Speaker 2: to speak to Trump. So this big strain is there now.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Who knows, that could just be for the cameras, But
- 2:40Speaker 2: that'll all get repaired and it may come to go
- 2:44Speaker 2: back to what it was with Israel and the US
- 2:46Speaker 2: militaries both working very closely together to get this finished.
- 2:51Speaker 2: And it may take ground troops, but I know they've
- 2:54Speaker 2: thought about one thing. It may take ground troops to
- 2:58Speaker 2: finish off the IRGC or the leaders. But if that's
- 3:03Speaker 2: the case, the ground troops would be Israeli ground troops.
- 3:07Speaker 2: We'll back them up with air support and all of that,
- 3:11Speaker 2: but the Israeli ground troops pretty effective in that area,
- 3:14Speaker 2: and they would know exactly where to go. The Israelis
- 3:17Speaker 2: would know exactly what cave, what tunnel, wherever to go.
- 3:21Speaker 2: So expect Iran to get finished off, and if that happens,
- 3:25Speaker 2: it'd probably be quick a couple of weeks. This pause
- 3:30Speaker 2: of a few months gave them the US plenty of
- 3:32Speaker 2: chance to restock missiles, drones, all that stuff, and to
- 3:37Speaker 2: carefully work on targets and planning. It's already the most
- 3:42Speaker 2: planned war in history. The Pentagon has been working on
- 3:45Speaker 2: Iran battle plans for forty five years, but in the
- 3:47Speaker 2: last seven weeks we've really tweaked everything. So expected to
- 3:53Speaker 2: get really really rough for Iran pretty soon. President talking
- 3:58Speaker 2: about the what happened as Iran hit a couple of
- 4:02Speaker 2: ships in the Straight of Horn Moose and then we
- 4:04Speaker 2: saw some activity at their nuclear sites and that wasn't good.
- 4:07Speaker 3: This is live for.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Me, this is live farming, this is live forming.
- 4:13Speaker 3: You're running dodger.
- 4:16Speaker 2: The Iranian Straight of Horror Moose. Anyway, the President will
- 4:21Speaker 2: now really really let him have it. Let me see
- 4:24Speaker 2: if I can find the President on that. It's here
- 4:29Speaker 2: somewhere here.
- 4:30Speaker 4: We don't want to sanction friends.
- 4:31Speaker 2: It's very simple. Oh that's actually NATO. We lost the
- 4:35Speaker 2: Iran cust here somewhere. Though he called them scum, he
- 4:39Speaker 2: called them liars, he called them insane. When he gets
- 4:44Speaker 2: really mad, things can get really ugly for Iran, so
- 4:47Speaker 2: it's not going to be good for them. Hey, he's
- 4:49Speaker 2: also talking about Greenland again there for the NATO talks
- 4:52Speaker 2: with the NATO leaders, Greenland is back on the agendaing
- 4:57Speaker 2: taking possession of Greenland. Now, we would probably buy it
- 4:59Speaker 2: for a great deal of money.
- 5:01Speaker 4: That's what hurt my relationship with NATO because Greenland doesn't
- 5:06Speaker 4: help Denmark. Denmark doesn't spend money to really help Greenland.
- 5:12Speaker 4: But it's an important part for the United States and
- 5:15Speaker 4: it's surrounded by China ships and Russian ships.
- 5:19Speaker 2: So what happened is Denmark actually owns Greenland. We want
- 5:23Speaker 2: to buy it from them for billions of dollars. They
- 5:27Speaker 2: had a huge debt that would pay off their debt.
- 5:29Speaker 2: It was the deal that made perfect sense. They don't
- 5:32Speaker 2: need Greenland for anything, we actually do, so we would
- 5:36Speaker 2: buy it and would take care of Denmark. However, this
- 5:40Speaker 2: is the problem. Ozempic was invented, believe it or not,
- 5:45Speaker 2: out of Denmark. Ozempic became the biggest drug in the world.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Ozempic has brought in billions and billions and billions of
- 5:55Speaker 2: dollars to Denmark, so they don't need our money anymore.
- 5:58Speaker 2: That's what stalled the whole thing. Now, the reason we
- 6:01Speaker 2: want Greenland at first, it's a very important place strategically
- 6:05Speaker 2: for our military defense, very important for all kinds of
- 6:10Speaker 2: reasons too lengthy to go into. We need Greenland for
- 6:12Speaker 2: military defense. We needed for a base, we needed for radar,
- 6:15Speaker 2: we need it for all kinds of things, missile. It's
- 6:18Speaker 2: just really important militarily. And that's why the Russians have
- 6:23Speaker 2: been trying to take Greenland. We're very worried about Russia
- 6:26Speaker 2: or China taking possession of it first. Now the other reason.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It's filled with minerals, tons and tons and tons of minerals,
- 6:34Speaker 2: so we need those. There's a tiny population on Greenland,
- 6:40Speaker 2: tiny so small that President Trump is offered everybody in
- 6:44Speaker 2: Greenland will give you up ten million dollars or something
- 6:46Speaker 2: like that, so they would all go along with it.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Democrats will. Now you'll hear them all over the airwaves
- 6:52Speaker 2: all over the place. You'll hear Democrats yelling and screaming
- 6:57Speaker 2: about how this is insane. Why would we want Greenland?
- 7:01Speaker 2: The president is crazy. Trump's crazy, What does he want
- 7:03Speaker 2: in Greenland? Now? The truth is every US president going
- 7:07Speaker 2: back to the nineteen twenties has made the same case
- 7:10Speaker 2: that we need Greenland. Every president, Democrat, Republican have all
- 7:16Speaker 2: made the case that we've got to have Greenland. Many
- 7:18Speaker 2: of them tried negotiating it with Denmark. So every Democratic president,
- 7:23Speaker 2: Republican president has tried to get Greenland. They will, these
- 7:27Speaker 2: fake newspeople will get that amnesia they always get, and
- 7:30Speaker 2: they'll forget that, and they'll make it sound like this
- 7:32Speaker 2: is some crazy Trump idea. It's not. So the building
- 7:37Speaker 2: collapse pretty bad, pretty pretty bad. This building was the
- 7:43Speaker 2: Pfiser Building, forty second Street. It's I don't know, it's
- 7:48Speaker 2: like forty to fifty stories. It's big and fat and
- 7:51Speaker 2: wide up to the twentieth floor. Then from the twentieth
- 7:54Speaker 2: floor up it's smaller. So they tried to expand it.
- 7:58Speaker 2: In other words, on the twentieth floor they tried to
- 8:00Speaker 2: add like ten floors above half of the twentieth floor,
- 8:04Speaker 2: and the steel beams couldn't handle the weight of these
- 8:07Speaker 2: new twenty floors. You would think, whoever the architect was,
- 8:12Speaker 2: whoever the builder was, they would have figured this all
- 8:15Speaker 2: out and calculated this correctly. Obviously they didn't, and that's
- 8:21Speaker 2: what caused it to buckle. How are you going to
- 8:23Speaker 2: fix it? Who knows? Nobody knows how the hell they're
- 8:27Speaker 2: ever going to fix this. Here's Mayor Mom Donnie. The
- 8:30Speaker 2: reason they were doing all this. They were trying to
- 8:31Speaker 2: convert this office building to residential.
- 8:35Speaker 5: This is an existing thirty seven story building with active
- 8:39Speaker 5: permits to convert it from a commercial office building to
- 8:42Speaker 5: a residential building.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah, so fixing it. I don't know how the hell
- 8:47Speaker 2: they're going to fix it. This is going to be really,
- 8:51Speaker 2: really difficult. You may have to take down the twenty
- 8:54Speaker 2: stories they built above it. There might be a way
- 8:57Speaker 2: to reinforce those steel beams, if they're there was a way,
- 9:01Speaker 2: I'm assuming they would have done it. Everybody's forty second Street,
- 9:06Speaker 2: second and third close to traffic at forty third Street
- 9:08Speaker 2: as well, Fire department. Everybody's there.
- 9:11Speaker 5: The way this.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Building is constructed, it's a steel framed building, so it
- 9:15Speaker 2: would not be a total collapse. It would be more
- 9:17Speaker 2: of a localized collapse. But that remains our concern that, Yeah,
- 9:25Speaker 2: no steel being building. In other words, it wouldn't topple over.
- 9:28Speaker 2: It would pancake down. That's what happened with the World
- 9:32Speaker 2: Trade Center. But then it sends stuff flying in every direction.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Here's this is the Apartment of Buildings.
- 9:38Speaker 6: What we are focused on and what we feel like
- 9:41Speaker 6: the next step is is making sure we can get
- 9:43Speaker 6: into that twenty first floor to add additional emergency trustes
- 9:47Speaker 6: to spread that load and be able to move on
- 9:50Speaker 6: with the investigation.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:52Speaker 2: So in other words, they have to be able to
- 9:53Speaker 2: get in there at some point, build these emergency support beams,
- 9:57Speaker 2: these new support beams. But as he said, that would
- 10:00Speaker 2: just be temporary. That would just be to stabilize the
- 10:02Speaker 2: building and give them time to figure out what the
- 10:05Speaker 2: solution is. And I have a feeling the solution is
- 10:08Speaker 2: going to be tearing down those twenty floors they built
- 10:10Speaker 2: above the twentieth floor. And I don't know how the
- 10:13Speaker 2: hell you do that or how long. I mean, this
- 10:15Speaker 2: block could be closed for a long long time.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Now.
- 10:20Speaker 2: If he is successful stabilizing the building with those emergency
- 10:23Speaker 2: support beams, then maybe maybe he could open it to traffic.
- 10:28Speaker 2: He'd lose a lane or two for construction, but not
- 10:31Speaker 2: going to be easy. Graham Platner is causing all kinds
- 10:36Speaker 2: of problems for the Democrats. They've decided they want him out,
- 10:41Speaker 2: not because he's a rapist, not because he's a Nazi.
- 10:44Speaker 2: There's nothing to do with it. They just realize there's
- 10:46Speaker 2: more stuff coming. There's too much stuff.
- 10:49Speaker 7: Now.
- 10:49Speaker 2: They realize he can't win. That's the only reason they
- 10:51Speaker 2: want him out. You could have a big Nazi tattoo
- 10:53Speaker 2: all over your face, doesn't bother them. Can't win, that
- 10:56Speaker 2: bothers them. That bothers them, so they want him out.
- 11:00Speaker 2: He's got to get out by I think it's next week.
- 11:03Speaker 2: There's a deadline where if he doesn't drop out by then,
- 11:07Speaker 2: there's no way to remove him from the ballot. So
- 11:10Speaker 2: he's got to get out now, he's holding up the process.
- 11:12Speaker 2: He should just get out, but he's demanding the right
- 11:16Speaker 2: to pick his replacement. I don't blame the guy forgive
- 11:21Speaker 2: him a hard time, because I think Platner realizes he
- 11:24Speaker 2: has absolutely no future in politics. He can never run again.
- 11:28Speaker 2: This is it, end of the line. So he's got
- 11:31Speaker 2: to cash us in and get whatever he can. He's
- 11:33Speaker 2: demanding finally pick his replacement. All the big supporters. Bernie
- 11:40Speaker 2: Sanders was his original big booster, and he said nothing
- 11:43Speaker 2: for two days. Bernie Sanders has finally weighed in. Sanders said,
- 11:48Speaker 2: I've spoken with Grime Platner about the best Perth forward
- 11:52Speaker 2: for Maine in light of these very serious negotiations allegations.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I have recommended that he's step aside. Even Bernie Sanders
- 12:01Speaker 2: threw in the towel and gave up. You know, the
- 12:04Speaker 2: ex girlfriend tells the story of being raped by him.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Apparently there's another woman about to come out. So what
- 12:11Speaker 2: does Mom Donnie say about platnir?
- 12:13Speaker 5: The focus of today should be to respond to the
- 12:16Speaker 5: gravity of what so many of us have read. And
- 12:19Speaker 5: I think that the only appropriate response is for the
- 12:21Speaker 5: campaign to come to an end.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Ah, even Mom Donnie says, get out. Hey, you notice
- 12:25Speaker 2: Mom Donnie he talks very fast. Whenever Mom Donnie talks,
- 12:28Speaker 2: he talks really fast. So that way he sounds very
- 12:29Speaker 2: smart because he's talks so fast. But do you ever
- 12:31Speaker 2: know this was a difficult question. He slows down. Listen.
- 12:36Speaker 5: The focus of today should be to respond to the gravity.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Of Yeah, yeah, he gets slow and well it's a
- 12:42Speaker 2: rough question. He gets a little slow on things. Hey,
- 12:47Speaker 2: Mitch McConnell, looks like he's doing a little better. There
- 12:51Speaker 2: were reports that he was brain dead. It was all
- 12:54Speaker 2: over the place yesterday that he was declared officially brain dead.
- 12:57Speaker 2: That is not true. Those reports may the news and
- 13:00Speaker 2: they were spreading all over the internet. So McConnell started
- 13:04Speaker 2: calling people, colleagues, and gop leaders from his hospital bed
- 13:09Speaker 2: to assure them that he's actually okay. Oh, Jeopardy. They're
- 13:17Speaker 2: looking for a writer, a new clue writer. You know,
- 13:19Speaker 2: somebody writes all those questions and clues and all that stuff.
- 13:24Speaker 2: And apparently the guy's leaving. So this is a big
- 13:27Speaker 2: thing for you know, if you're in the Jeopardy universe,
- 13:30Speaker 2: it's a big thing. First time in a million years,
- 13:32Speaker 2: they've hired a new writer and they're auditioning. They say,
- 13:35Speaker 2: thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of people. You know,
- 13:39Speaker 2: you got to know all this stuff. I can't watch
- 13:41Speaker 2: Jeopardy because it starts with three nerds. And then they
- 13:47Speaker 2: introduced the three nerds, and then at some point that
- 13:49Speaker 2: he says, tell us about yourself and the nerds. It's
- 13:53Speaker 2: the least interesting people in the world. And then they
- 13:56Speaker 2: start the game and these three they know everything. This
- 14:00Speaker 2: is a river in Mugadishu, and they know the river.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I can't believe it, this eighteen forty seven poem, and
- 14:08Speaker 2: they know the answer. It's unbelievable. So you gotta be
- 14:10Speaker 2: pretty smart to write these clues. The job pays one
- 14:16Speaker 2: hundred and thirty two thousand up to one hundred and
- 14:18Speaker 2: seventy eight thousand. Now, for some jobs, that would sound
- 14:22Speaker 2: like a lot of money. But for Jeopardy, I would
- 14:24Speaker 2: think the clue writer, the one that makes up the questions,
- 14:28Speaker 2: I would think that's the most crucial thing on the show.
- 14:31Speaker 2: That's what people are watching for. This show makes like
- 14:34Speaker 2: billions of dollars a year. That's all they're going to
- 14:37Speaker 2: pay the guy. I mean, for a show that's making billions,
- 14:42Speaker 2: this job should pay a lot more than that, but
- 14:44Speaker 2: that's all they pay for the job. Hey, we'll take
- 14:47Speaker 2: some calls next. Eight hundred three to two one zero
- 14:50Speaker 2: seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three to two
- 14:53Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Jeez, mister New York Mark Simon on seven ten.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Are Hey, we'll take some calls. Actually, we want some
- 15:03Speaker 2: new callers. We had a lot of new callers first
- 15:05Speaker 2: time callers yesterday, like some more today. Eight hundred three
- 15:09Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 15:13Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten. If you're an old
- 15:16Speaker 2: call eaton call too. But let's get some new callers
- 15:18Speaker 2: as well. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich, how you doing.
- 15:27Speaker 3: New and nude callers. I couldn't understand what you're saying.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Both we'll take nude or new callers.
- 15:33Speaker 3: How is nobody talking, of course the presses cost How
- 15:36Speaker 3: is nobody talking about brain dead Mitch McConnell and the
- 15:40Speaker 3: big election that's gonna have to happen in Kentucky and
- 15:43Speaker 3: thank god, the Republican Saints War where the governor does
- 15:46Speaker 3: not pick a replacement senator interim senator. How is this
- 15:50Speaker 3: not on the front page of every news You got
- 15:52Speaker 3: a brain dead guy nobody knows.
- 15:55Speaker 2: It turns out he's not brain dead. He's very sick
- 15:58Speaker 2: and he's in the hospital, but dead. He's been calling
- 16:01Speaker 2: people to tell him he's not brain dead.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Another reason for term limits. But why is this guy
- 16:05Speaker 3: not just gonna say, okay, listen, pick somebody. I got
- 16:07Speaker 3: to take care of myself. These people are so power hungry,
- 16:10Speaker 3: that's he all these people Schumer perfect example, term limits,
- 16:15Speaker 3: term limits, term letits.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I absolutely agree. The problem is, how are
- 16:18Speaker 2: you going to get term limits? The Congress would have
- 16:21Speaker 2: to vote for them, vote themselves out of place.
- 16:24Speaker 3: It's like doctor is doing investigations on doctor's mistakes. It
- 16:27Speaker 3: never happens, you know.
- 16:28Speaker 2: So yeah, all right, good call, thanks for calling, because
- 16:32Speaker 2: that's the problem. And as long as he got President
- 16:34Speaker 2: Trump here, he's the one guy that could push this.
- 16:37Speaker 2: I know they're not going to want to vote for
- 16:39Speaker 2: it because the term limits them out of there and
- 16:41Speaker 2: they'd have to go into the real world. But he
- 16:43Speaker 2: should push that like crazy. Let's go to John in
- 16:47Speaker 2: Hell's Kitchen. John, how you doing.
- 16:49Speaker 7: Good morning to you, Mark sim Own good man. I
- 16:54Speaker 7: gotta say something Mark. Over the holiday over the Fourth
- 16:57Speaker 7: of July weekend here in New York, I live in
- 17:00Speaker 7: the House Kitchen area, tenth Avenue. No American like down
- 17:04Speaker 7: the on the River American. No American flags anywhere. No
- 17:08Speaker 7: American flags and windows and stores in restaurants. And it
- 17:12Speaker 7: bothered me because I'm seventy years old and it's the
- 17:15Speaker 7: first time I didn't see American flags everywhere. And when
- 17:18Speaker 7: I went into the restaurants, you know what, they said,
- 17:20Speaker 7: bad for business?
- 17:22Speaker 2: What's bad for Oh well yeah, I understand, But it's
- 17:26Speaker 2: How's Kitchen that was always kind of known for ethnic
- 17:29Speaker 2: restaurants and all that stuff around.
- 17:30Speaker 7: No, no, we have, but there was always flags in
- 17:34Speaker 7: every restaurant. There was always flags. Yeah, and now all
- 17:38Speaker 7: of a sudden, the American flags become bad for business.
- 17:41Speaker 7: Like this sunny hostin yesterday. I don't know. I'm sure
- 17:44Speaker 7: you heard what she had to say about the American
- 17:46Speaker 7: flag that if you're show an American flag, it's a sign,
- 17:49Speaker 7: it's a dog whistle that you're a white supremacist. I mean,
- 17:52Speaker 7: it's getting ridiculous.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Absolutely right, good call, absolutely right. You know, it's like
- 17:58Speaker 2: a you'd call something press one for English. I think
- 18:02Speaker 2: at some point it's going to be press seven for English.
- 18:05Speaker 2: We're not going to be number one on that list anymore.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Let's go to Chris and Bethpage. Chris, how you doing?
- 18:12Speaker 3: Andy?
- 18:13Speaker 2: Mark Good?
- 18:14Speaker 8: I just love what's going on right now. I don't
- 18:16Speaker 8: care what anyone says. I've never been happier. These Democrats
- 18:21Speaker 8: are just shooting themselves in the foot. They can't get
- 18:23Speaker 8: out of each other's way. This dude up in Maine
- 18:27Speaker 8: almost sealed the deal. There are very good Democrats like
- 18:30Speaker 8: Bill mar I always use them as example. He's just
- 18:33Speaker 8: calling the party out and there seems no getting it back.
- 18:37Speaker 8: There's a big division in there, and I just think
- 18:40Speaker 8: it's great for the Republicans. And they should just sit back,
- 18:42Speaker 8: eat their popcorn and let this group destroy themselves. Because
- 18:46Speaker 8: I've never seen anything like this.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I'm an excellent, excellent point. I agree, totally excellent point.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Let's go to uh Dan in Manhattan. Dan,
- 18:56Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark. I have a question, but I have
- 19:00Speaker 3: wanted to tell you for a while. I really admire
- 19:03Speaker 3: your loyalty to President Trump. I know you know him personally,
- 19:07Speaker 3: and people judge him for his public persona, and your
- 19:10Speaker 3: loyalty is just such a great quality. And your diplomacy
- 19:15Speaker 3: regarding Curtis, and I know you're good buddies with his
- 19:18Speaker 3: old boss.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I hear it, But.
- 19:21Speaker 3: There is no no buds at all. The question is
- 19:25Speaker 3: I think you're the one to ask, why are there
- 19:28Speaker 3: no Abbin and Costello reruns on TV? Would you send
- 19:31Speaker 3: any idea?
- 19:31Speaker 2: Boy, Yeah, I can explain that. I don't know if
- 19:33Speaker 2: you heard it's now twenty twenty six.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Well, I mean, we have all those channels with the
- 19:40Speaker 3: oldies on them, but.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Those alies from the seventies, they're not from early.
- 19:47Speaker 3: He's still on once in a while. I just wondered
- 19:52Speaker 3: if it was if there was an issue with the
- 19:54Speaker 3: estates or no.
- 19:55Speaker 2: No, no, I don't know. Very very very very old.
- 20:00Speaker 2: It was kind of a cheaply done show at the time.
- 20:02Speaker 3: It was very it was very cheap but hilarious.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Well it was. And I don't know if you know,
- 20:07Speaker 2: but Seinfeld said that was the most influential show abb
- 20:11Speaker 2: and Costello's TV show for Seinfeld, he copied a lot
- 20:14Speaker 2: of the Abbot and Costello show.
- 20:16Speaker 3: I remember you said that. And he even had a
- 20:18Speaker 3: character Sid Fields. Yeah, yeah, but the landlord and is
- 20:23Speaker 3: real that was his actual name.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Yeah, he said he based a lot of Seinfeld on
- 20:26Speaker 2: the abb and Costello TV show, the same format they lived.
- 20:29Speaker 2: They all lived in the same apartment building. They had
- 20:32Speaker 2: a newman on Abbot and Costello. What was he called
- 20:34Speaker 2: Stinky or something like that.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Yes, yes, Joe Besser.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Joe Pesser. Yeah, so, uh do you watch Seinfeld?
- 20:42Speaker 3: Oh? I love Seinfeld. Okay, I could definitely see the
- 20:45Speaker 3: influence absolutely.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Yeah, very derivative of Avon Costello. Well, you know, if
- 20:49Speaker 2: you go to YouTube, you can watch every episode of
- 20:51Speaker 2: Abbot and Costello.
- 20:53Speaker 3: You know what, You're right, I've been I've been catching
- 20:55Speaker 3: up on NYPD Blue, which I know you also like I.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Well love I watched it on YouTube all the time.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Forget anything else. I just watch YouTube. You can watch
- 21:03Speaker 2: any show that was ever on television, any sitcom, any drawn,
- 21:07Speaker 2: anything that was ever on television. Every episode is now
- 21:10Speaker 2: up on YouTube. You'll love it. Great call, thanks for calling.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Let's go to Carl in Sayerville. Carl, how you doing fine?
- 21:17Speaker 9: Mark you all that that address that May and Madonnie
- 21:24Speaker 9: made with all those people behind him? Yeah, they said
- 21:27Speaker 9: he had the desk turned around.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it was the stupidest Fourth Uly video. He sat
- 21:32Speaker 2: at George Washington's desk, but he had it turned around
- 21:34Speaker 2: so the drawers were facing us, not him. It was ridiculous.
- 21:38Speaker 9: I didn't understand that. It almost looked like Gomez Adams
- 21:43Speaker 9: and the Adams Family.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Yeah it did. It looked quite quite creepy. Now, in
- 21:47Speaker 2: mom Donnie's defense, I don't think he's ever seen a
- 21:50Speaker 2: desk before, because remember he's never had a job, he's
- 21:53Speaker 2: never worked in his life. He's never been in an office.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Where would he have ever seen a desk. He was
- 22:00Speaker 2: a rapper, he was like a what did he do
- 22:05Speaker 2: before that? Was he a teacher? But he's never been
- 22:08Speaker 2: in an office. I have a feeling that the desk
- 22:11Speaker 2: needs instructions for him. He's never seen one or used
- 22:13Speaker 2: one ever in his life. Hey, when we come back
- 22:16Speaker 2: and Coulter will be with us next lots to talk
- 22:19Speaker 2: to her about on seven to ten. Woor Welcome back
- 22:23Speaker 2: to the Mark Simone.
- 22:25Speaker 10: Show Live from the WR Life Back Studios.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Well and Culter, the great columnist, the best selling author,
- 22:34Speaker 2: and make sure you follow her on Twitter. Even better substack.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Make sure you follow on substack. You can get a
- 22:40Speaker 2: subscription at substack. It's Acolter dot substack dot com. Oh,
- 22:44Speaker 2: make sure you watch her Rumble Channel. A lot of
- 22:47Speaker 2: good stuff on that and Culter Rumble Channel and Culter,
- 22:50Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 22:52Speaker 1: Fantastic? Congratulations Mark Simone. You did not tell me you
- 22:56Speaker 1: won the Broadcasters Award for Talk Magazine or Talk.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Barrett Barrett Media, Barrett.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Media, Barrett Media, and I would be very upset that
- 23:07Speaker 1: you didn't invite me to it as you have in
- 23:09Speaker 1: the past, except I wasn't in New York.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Well, I didn't invite anybody. It's a I don't know
- 23:15Speaker 2: someone about what inviting people to watch you get an award.
- 23:18Speaker 2: That's a little legotistical, isn't it.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Uh No, I would have cheered like math Oh.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Okay, well yeah, you should come anyway. Because you had
- 23:25Speaker 2: every major talk show host in America all in one room.
- 23:29Speaker 2: You couldn't get a worded.
- 23:33Speaker 1: That's true.
- 23:33Speaker 2: That So a guy just called. He said, I love
- 23:37Speaker 2: what's going on. I love this. I love watching the
- 23:39Speaker 2: Democrats just shoot themselves in the foot. I love watching
- 23:43Speaker 2: them destroy their whole party. He said, just get some
- 23:45Speaker 2: popcorn and sit back and enjoy this. What do you think.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Never get complacent, never ever, ever. I mean I remember
- 23:55Speaker 1: hearing this and giving the same warning back when O'Reilly
- 23:59Speaker 1: was saying every night, how how Franklin running for senat
- 24:03Speaker 1: Oh ho ho ho. We're not even going to discuss
- 24:05Speaker 1: discuss it. There's a joke. He's not going any place.
- 24:08Speaker 1: And I kept telling him and his producers stopped being
- 24:11Speaker 1: so casual about this. He could very well win. We're
- 24:13Speaker 1: talking about Minnesota. Never get complacent. I mean, there are
- 24:17Speaker 1: great things that I saw. I forget who this guy was,
- 24:21Speaker 1: but he was a lefty saying that one of these
- 24:24Speaker 1: is a paraphrase. One of the eternal facts of modern
- 24:28Speaker 1: American politics is, no matter how disliked the Republicans, are
- 24:33Speaker 1: Democrats will come up with a way to be disliked
- 24:35Speaker 1: even more. And that is true. So they have that
- 24:39Speaker 1: going again. So they are they they are having this
- 24:41Speaker 1: fight with the mostly you know, as you point to
- 24:47Speaker 1: Pok with Mom, Donnie, mostly foreign foreigners who hate our country,
- 24:52Speaker 1: really pushing socialism and ending killing the Golden Goose, and
- 24:57Speaker 1: the establishment Democrats, who's the main thing has been to
- 25:02Speaker 1: call Trump a fascist. I really find this hilarious that
- 25:05Speaker 1: the way Democrats described the division and the party is
- 25:09Speaker 1: the base they're looking for fighters. What Democrats has not
- 25:15Speaker 1: been fighting Trump? There is nothing you can say about.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Him that would get you.
- 25:20Speaker 1: No, No, we can't have this guy on TV again. No,
- 25:23Speaker 1: we can't have this person writing for the New York
- 25:26Speaker 1: Times or the Washington Post. I mean, they've thrown everything
- 25:28Speaker 1: they have in him. And I'm talking about elected Democrats too.
- 25:31Speaker 1: They impeached him twice, they had those endless hearings. Anyway,
- 25:36Speaker 1: what's going on in Maine. One thing to note about
- 25:41Speaker 1: that is Platner was losing to Collins. Yes, he was up,
- 25:46Speaker 1: you know, a month ago, but recent polls showed him falling, falling, falling,
- 25:50Speaker 1: and Susan Collins usually usually wins even when the polls
- 25:55Speaker 1: show her losing. So there had just been enough crap
- 26:00Speaker 1: out this guy building up, building up, building up. I
- 26:02Speaker 1: don't think it was this one thing. I think this
- 26:04Speaker 1: was just the straw that broke the camel's back. And
- 26:09Speaker 1: actually Nate Silver had a really good post on this
- 26:11Speaker 1: that you know, when someone keeps keeps giving you, giving
- 26:15Speaker 1: you problems that he hasn't warned you about, you really
- 26:18Speaker 1: got to cut dait on this. So I think they've
- 26:20Speaker 1: probably had no choice to but to dump him. But
- 26:24Speaker 1: don't think that this is Democrats showing you know how
- 26:27Speaker 1: moral they are. No, there are some candidates we have integrity.
- 26:33Speaker 1: There's some candidates we will not accept. No, he was
- 26:35Speaker 1: about to lose. What they do next, it'll be interesting
- 26:40Speaker 1: to watch. And the one thing I keep returning to
- 26:43Speaker 1: when it comes to Susan Collins is I love that
- 26:46Speaker 1: they're trying to portray her like she's I don't know me.
- 26:51Speaker 1: She's a moderate, she votes a lot of the Democrats,
- 26:55Speaker 1: she's a thorn in the Republican side, but she does
- 26:59Speaker 1: really good constituents work in Maine. So we'll see what
- 27:03Speaker 1: happens with the Democrats, and it'll be fun to watch.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so, hey, you wrote a book about communism, but
- 27:09Speaker 2: the McCarthy fighting communism, which which book was the.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Reason Treason?
- 27:16Speaker 2: So McCarthy was trying to fight communists, get him out
- 27:19Speaker 2: of the government. Uh. And did you ever think we'd
- 27:21Speaker 2: have to do this for real? Now we've got to
- 27:23Speaker 2: do it here in New York and Seattle.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Well it was a little different then, but no, it
- 27:33Speaker 1: didn't seem to be pretty much dead and very I
- 27:36Speaker 1: mean even back when I wrote Treason, that was my
- 27:38Speaker 1: third book, and even then I pointed out how interesting
- 27:44Speaker 1: it was that in Europe, you know, they have these
- 27:47Speaker 1: welter of parties. It's not it's not just you know, Republicans, Democrats,
- 27:52Speaker 1: and a lot of the serious parties in European countries
- 27:55Speaker 1: are communists. What was interesting about a mayor America is
- 28:01Speaker 1: that the the the Nixon hard hats, the Trump bass Uh.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And and I might add the men who went and
- 28:09Speaker 1: fought in the Vietnam War. Our hard hats have always
- 28:13Speaker 1: been our biggest right wingers, our most solid, solid patriotic Americans.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Remember when the anti Vietnam Maybe I wasn't alive war,
- 28:23Speaker 1: but it's a moment that stirs stirs my heart. When
- 28:28Speaker 1: the when the hippie anti Vietnam protesters marched down down
- 28:33Speaker 1: I don't know whatever avenue it was in New York
- 28:35Speaker 1: and Mayor Lindsay hung the flag at half staff. The workers,
- 28:41Speaker 1: the hard hats, came out, beat up the hippies climbed
- 28:44Speaker 1: up the fat flagpole and raised it to full mast.
- 28:49Speaker 1: That that what? So what did they have to do?
- 28:52Speaker 1: Working people in other countries tend to be communists, not
- 28:57Speaker 1: in this country quite the opposite. Still, oh, what do
- 29:00Speaker 1: you do you bring in workers from other countries. They're
- 29:05Speaker 1: trying to turn us into some crap ass European country.
- 29:11Speaker 2: So where does this all end? I mean, like the
- 29:14Speaker 2: hippie stuff, that stuff that all went away at some point.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Where does this end?
- 29:20Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I mean I guess we'll see. I'm very upset that
- 29:23Speaker 1: Trump has restarted the Iran war.
- 29:25Speaker 3: SOPHO.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Marcus Crashing. Oh, this is fantastic. The bad news for Republicans,
- 29:30Speaker 1: I mean, the good news is Democrats are out of
- 29:33Speaker 1: their minds. But there are a lot of people voters
- 29:37Speaker 1: who are out of their minds thanks to immigration. But
- 29:41Speaker 1: right now, the single most important issue to Americans is
- 29:44Speaker 1: cost of living, and they approve of the job Trump
- 29:47Speaker 1: is doing by only thirty one percent. That is going
- 29:50Speaker 1: to be the toughest headwind for Susan Collins. She has
- 29:53Speaker 1: basically everything going in her favor. She doesn't even vote,
- 29:57Speaker 1: she isn't a Trumpster, she opposes him, and yet these
- 30:02Speaker 1: are big headwinds for every Republican. So don't get your
- 30:06Speaker 1: hopes up too much, no matter whom the Democrats are on.
- 30:09Speaker 1: And that's a particularly frog situation when this is going
- 30:13Speaker 1: to be as it certainly looks like it will be
- 30:17Speaker 1: a good year for Democrats where people don't really care.
- 30:20Speaker 1: A lot of people vote just for the Democrats. They
- 30:23Speaker 1: just think, no, I don't like what's going on in
- 30:25Speaker 1: the country, I'm voting Democrats. So it's kind of terrifying
- 30:28Speaker 1: that the Democrats who will be on the ballot will
- 30:31Speaker 1: be such such communist lunatics. It could be a problem
- 30:37Speaker 1: for the country.
- 30:38Speaker 2: No, I don't know if you follow FIFA. I mean,
- 30:41Speaker 2: I have no interest in FIFA, but I notice wherever
- 30:43Speaker 2: I go there's a million foreigners screaming for their team.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I didn't realize that's how soccer got so big in America, because.
- 30:57Speaker 1: That's exactly what I wrote about I had to call
- 31:00Speaker 1: attacking soccer a few years ago. I think i'll send
- 31:02Speaker 1: them out on subject today, just to remind people now
- 31:05Speaker 1: that hopefully FIFA fever has died down since I didn't
- 31:09Speaker 1: see American's loss. But I assume, sorry, continue your port.
- 31:12Speaker 1: I assume you are driving to left these being indigent
- 31:17Speaker 1: at Trumps standing up for the American player.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Well, I mean, first of all, I don't think he
- 31:23Speaker 2: knows anything about soccer. I don't even know about some
- 31:25Speaker 2: whoever called.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Him he's an American begged him.
- 31:28Speaker 2: To make this phone call. So but remember years ago
- 31:32Speaker 2: they had soccer. It was Pele like twelve people in
- 31:34Speaker 2: New Jersey watch it? That was it? Now soccer a
- 31:38Speaker 2: million people all over New York. So is that just
- 31:41Speaker 2: because we've got so many immigrants now?
- 31:44Speaker 10: Yes?
- 31:44Speaker 1: And also America hating Americans. It is such a non
- 31:48Speaker 1: American flort. It is like the metric system, all these
- 31:54Speaker 1: you know, not bathing, using one little sheet to wipe yourself,
- 31:58Speaker 1: all these idiotic things Europeans do that The New York
- 32:02Speaker 1: Times and the Lesson is always trying to push on us. Oh,
- 32:05Speaker 1: come on, why do you need to take more than
- 32:06Speaker 1: one shower a week. We're Americans shower three times a day,
- 32:13Speaker 1: and we waste all times of gas on the grill.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah so uh, but you know it's caused chaos here
- 32:21Speaker 2: in New York. There's a million people buying those jerseys
- 32:24Speaker 2: from all these And who do you root for? I'm
- 32:25Speaker 2: watching the game. It's like Paraguay versus Uruguay. Who am
- 32:29Speaker 2: I supposed to root for in this game?
- 32:36Speaker 1: Well, he's probably root for Adderall to keep watching, they're
- 32:41Speaker 1: so boring.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Yeah, so what do you think it'll happen with Platner? Will
- 32:44Speaker 2: he get out? He's trying to demand to name his replacement,
- 32:47Speaker 2: but will they get him out? And then who is it?
- 32:49Speaker 2: The government? The governor will run?
- 32:53Speaker 1: I don't think it'll be the woman who ran against him.
- 32:57Speaker 3: I never know these things.
- 32:58Speaker 1: I mean, this is an internal Democrat site. I think
- 33:01Speaker 1: he kind of has to get out now. I will say,
- 33:07Speaker 1: contrary to conventionalism, I really don't think this latest accusation
- 33:12Speaker 1: is absolutely the worst thing. I never thought the quote
- 33:16Speaker 1: Nazi tattoo was the worst thing. Either one of those
- 33:19Speaker 1: taken in isolation with with an otherwise you know, stellar candidates.
- 33:25Speaker 1: But this guy just had a million things. I mean,
- 33:28Speaker 1: he was on some you know meat young teens for
- 33:32Speaker 1: sex website, sex thing. During his marriage, he viciously attacked
- 33:37Speaker 1: some poor American soldier who had his leg blown off.
- 33:42Speaker 1: It's just one thing after another coming out. And the
- 33:45Speaker 1: reason I don't think this one thing the rape. I
- 33:50Speaker 1: know this sounds odd, but by her own account, he
- 33:53Speaker 1: was so drunk he didn't know what he was doing. Yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 1: really really bad behavior. It was a drunken race. But
- 33:59Speaker 1: it's quite different from someone who knows what he's doing
- 34:02Speaker 1: when he's committing a rape.
- 34:04Speaker 2: But it's also the fact that he looks like the
- 34:06Speaker 2: guy in Cape fear that they looks like the killer
- 34:09Speaker 2: and that movie flex should be a factor too.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Well, I love it. This is the idea of the Democrats,
- 34:15Speaker 1: like fucking class a white man. We got to run
- 34:18Speaker 1: some white men and every Democrat they can pull out
- 34:22Speaker 1: who isn't a soy boy, a foreign or a woman.
- 34:27Speaker 1: You know, it turns out to be a psychopath. It's
- 34:29Speaker 1: probably because why would any white man be a Democrat.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Well, I hate to say it, we're out of time,
- 34:34Speaker 2: but everybody go to a follow and culture on substack
- 34:38Speaker 2: it's and culter dot substack dot com because there she's
- 34:41Speaker 2: got videos and columns and podcasts and all, and of
- 34:44Speaker 2: course on Twitter and the Rumble channel is great. It's
- 34:47Speaker 2: a culter and rumble and get all of her books
- 34:50Speaker 2: and and culture. Thanks for being with us.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Good to talk to you, Mark to congratulations again before.
- 34:56Speaker 2: I take care. Hey, don't forget Curtis is back. It's

- 35:13Speaker 10: Now back to the Mark Simo Show on wor.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Well, Hey, we've been through some miserable weather. Boy, that
- 35:21Speaker 2: heat wave four days, three days where you couldn't even
- 35:24Speaker 2: go out. It was brutal. Then we had rain, and
- 35:26Speaker 2: then we've had a couple of days of drizzle and rain. Well,
- 35:29Speaker 2: today it's gonna be a perfect summer day. Might be
- 35:33Speaker 2: the only one this week, so you're gonna play hooky
- 35:35Speaker 2: do it today. It's gonna be a sunny eighties or
- 35:39Speaker 2: low eighties all day to day, perfect summer day to day.
- 35:42Speaker 2: The building a collapse as forty second Street closed between
- 35:48Speaker 2: Second and Third forty third as well, So if you're
- 35:51Speaker 2: driving around that area, it's gonna be a lot of traffic,
- 35:54Speaker 2: a lot of good luck around there. Hey, we're out
- 35:56Speaker 2: of time. I'll be back tomorrow ten to noon, every
