- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: What's up guys?
- 0:01[SPEAKER_02]: Guy here.
- 0:01[SPEAKER_02]: It is Sunday night.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_02]: And probably my last show for at least a week.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_02]: Some of you caught it on the last show, but haven't a baby on Tuesday.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully not Monday.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully Tuesday.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's the plan.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: And so that'll probably take me out for the next few
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: But a lot of you have caught that news at some point over the last few months and have sent me very nice messages.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the YouTube comments, some of the emails, some of the DMs, I appreciate it very much.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: Feel free to leave a comment with your best parent to get advice at the bottom of this YouTube video.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_02]: OK, let's get to some reactions from Niners Rams.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: All right, actually got some good news on the 40 matters after they lost by 16 to the Rams, which is that they're still the team that I thought they were that I think a lot of people thought they were, they felt the schedule we thought they did.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: This was still a game that you think you're going to lose.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: They lose.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_02]: You don't like to get blown out.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_02]: you don't like to get blown out.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: It could have been a lot worse for a minute there you wondered is is there luck out?
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's the crazy thing is for as unlucky as they've been.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: They've also been lucky in some ways and I think down 21 to nothing it was fair to think like okay is this yet or at least even going into the game.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think a lot of people
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: kind of look at the 40 matters and think, is this the day, it all falls apart.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then they're down 21 and nothing, and I look like the answer was yes, but they kind of checked in.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: They still have that same DNA.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: So they haven't collapsed.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: They haven't folded.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: They haven't had their luck run out.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: They're good luck or their bad luck, although you could argue,
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: We never really know for sure about their injury luck until Monday.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: But at 21, nothing, they still kind of showed their true selves, which is that they're a competitive team, not really good enough if they're going to play really good teams every week to look like a playoff team, but they don't play really good teams every week.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: They just happen to this week.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: Down 17, and nothing, they came back at so far, week, 18, a few years ago, but this was not that game.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I felt this way.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: Texted producer caught him before the game.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: The key coming into the game is, can you force a few turnovers?
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: Then you're watching that first ram's drive going, all right, you're going to need the, you need the staffer to, you know, you're going to need a turnover on the one-yard line, you need staffer to throw a pick.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: And instead, what you had was,
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: The most critical playing the game if we saw one of those charts that shows you the biggest swings in the game.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: For me, the number, I don't have the chart, but number one's got to be Jennings fumbled down 14 nothing.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: When it happened, it felt like that was the biggest playing the game.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: After the game and hindsight, it was the biggest playing the game.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: Down 21 to nothing, you scored, you really needed a score before half time and they didn't
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: they didn't get one, they still come out in the second half of the score because they just weren't getting stops and they weren't getting that turnover.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think this was a game and every game you feel boasts was absence.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: Every game you feel Fred Warner's absence, you really feel Fred Warner's absence more than anything.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think the secondary in the linebackers, you know
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: rightfully, uh, understandably.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: I won't say rightfully, but understandably over Drake Greenlaw.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: Drake Greenlaw is not the best player that the Broncos signed off the 49ers defense this year.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: The best players telling him who fun guy.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's the guy that I know.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, without Fred, you go, well, you can you take them both.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: You really mystery Greenlaw agreed.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 3:53[SPEAKER_02]: They missed this Talonohu Funga last year.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: They missed this Talonohu Funga two years ago.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: Talonohu Funga, if you haven't noticed, is back to playing like an all pro.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: And that's just a pro baller.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: I looked at PFF today, you know.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: He is for guys who play and coverage as much as he does, he is by far the number one rated safety on PFF in the NFL.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: And even if you take away any qualifiers guys who play as much it, what he is the number one rated safety in PFF.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: The Niners pass rush.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: Jacobie for set next week.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: You want good news.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: Did you see what the Seahawks did today?
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know some people are looking at that going.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: See, there's a problem guy.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: You know, given Seattle enough love Richard Sherman, tweeted Seahawks looking so well, coaching talented of both sides of the football hard to argue with them being the most complete team in the NFL right now.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: I love with the culture to do it with that six turnover game.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_02]: We'll keep behind Seattle for me.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: Fine.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not even going to argue it.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: Although looking like the most complete team and being the best team
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to get into a thing where I'm poo poo in Seattle because they're really good and they might be the most complete team But this is where the nine are scheduled factor.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: We do it every week.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: We go look at the schedule look at the schedule Look at this schedule.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: Here's one we haven't talked about yet new thought right now You got to love the fact that you don't play Seattle right now while they are arguably looking like the most complete team in the NFL according to Richard Sherman
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: So you don't play Seattle to week 18.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_02]: Another blessing.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think in the beginning of the year, you thought, well, I don't know if that's good.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: You have them so spread out.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't have an opinion whether it was good or bad.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't hate it, but it's gonna be at home.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: But now I love the fact that they don't play Seattle until we get to the end.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: Just another factor in the schedule, which we'll get to some other things in the schedule.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: But if you saw any of that came today,
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now, you give him credit because they hit some deep balls and Jackson Smith and Jig was really good.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: Darna was 10 to 12 today.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: They blew out the Cardinals because jico being per set statues do exist.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: And he's one of them.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: And nothing is given with this night.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing is for sure.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing is nothing is easy.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: Not that stuff.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not guaranteeing anything, but
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: you play Arizona this week.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: To my original point though, it didn't feel like the defensive line.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: We spent all this time in the trade-in, like add defensive line, add defensive line.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: It felt like the linebackers on the secondary are really pretty.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: I guess you're the bad.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: Which is, you know what?
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes how it's going to look against Matthew Stafford.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_02]: The nighters did not give up a sack.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: Mac Jones was really good.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: They were, they were good against that pass rush because he got the ball out quick.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: But,
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, you know, I thought they showed enough to make me not overly concerned about what was mostly, you know, a blow at the beginning and a blow at the end of four quarter games are, uh, are long and you don't get to just play the middle eight and feel good about yourself.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: You know, this is about Carolina.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's about Chicago, a little bit about Minnesota.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's about Seattle.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: These are the teams that you're fighting with to make the playoffs.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: If you still subscribe to the belief like I do, that with a young team, finding way to make the playoffs matter.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_02]: We'd love to see Brandon and I you back on the field by the end of the year.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's, that'd be nice.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully that happens.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully it's not just practice practice to get ready for 2026.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: You want to get them back on the field.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, we said last week, Carolina, who you'll play Chicago, who you'll play.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: These are the teams in the race for a wildcard spot in the NFC.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: NFC, for all the talk about how deep it is, it's like, yeah, it's like a pool that has a sudden cliff that gets deep.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_02]: But there's a lot of shallow.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of shallow in the shallow.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: What's that great song?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_02]: Panthers lost 17 to 7 in the Saints today.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't care a lot.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: I said it last week after they beat the Packers.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, okay, let's pump the brakes on Carolina.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: Bright Sean was like 11 of 22 or something in that Packer game, but they were not impressive.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: Minnesota and Chicago play this week.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: The bare schedule very tough.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: Vikings, Steelers, Eagles, Packers, twice, Lions, which is fine.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: The only thing that matters is the game you're going to play in the head because these other teams that couldn't have to run away from you.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's who you're playing with.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: I just can play in that sandbox.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: They are not playing in the championship contender sandbox.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: And frankly, a trade for jail and Phillips wasn't going to get them there this week anyway.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, that's fine, this game shocks, I shouldn't shock you, doesn't shock me, I don't think it shocks you, I doubt it shocks you, and doesn't really change the outlook, especially that came out of a kind of healthy and with a chance to get healthier, George Kittle looks fantastic.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: Awesome.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: This is what Kyle Shanahan said after the game asked by Tim Kawakami
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe probably never going to be 100% again this season.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: Is there, at some point, do you just have to plan knowing that he's not going to be 100%.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it depends on how close to 100% he gets.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: Our dilemma or what we're trying not to do is put him out in the situation we did versus Jacksonville five weeks ago or six, whatever it was.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I do believe he's closer and further along than what he was at that time.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully we'll have a chance to say.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: You know, hopefully the way it's trending
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: to ramp him up to QB one.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's having to be healthy enough to be in uniform and he'll start or he won't, which makes sense.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: You know, where I stand on this last week, I said, if he's not going to be, if every week that he doesn't play, he gets healthier, but we'll never get to 100%.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Then I would weigh as long as possible.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: Meaning, if Mac Jones is going to be 33, 39, three touchdowns, and his pick was whatever.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: I was on fourth down, and he had to, whatever.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: But if he's going to be 33, a 39, look and control, make some extra plays, then what's the rush on Perti?
- 10:26[SPEAKER_02]: If every week you don't play him, he gets a little healthier.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: Even if he's never going to get to 100%,
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think the worst thing you can have is bring Brock back, how the Jacksonville situation happened again, and then really be down to Adrian Martinez.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: Whereas, let's say something happens to the Mac and the Arizona game, you're like, oh, Brock's close.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, now maybe you push a little bit with Perti knowing he can't make it worse for 20, 26, but he's also never gonna be 100%.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: To me, you lose your safety net a little bit.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now, you could argue, well, then you go with Brock and Max your safety net.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: I, yeah, yeah, it's true, true.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: But it just, we'll see.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: It just feels like if it's never going to be 100%, then it's inevitable that it's going to get worse.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: And then you're going to be playing this game where, OK, if it's not going to be 100, and he plays and it goes down, because that's what it sounds like to me.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: If it's never going to be 100, then it's probably always fluctuating.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: not a doctor, disclosure.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_02]: But then if that's the case, that means you're, it feels like you're always just like two weeks away from Act Jones having to take back over and then Brock being fully on the shelf again, it's opposed to at least almost available.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, he's not committing to anything.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_02]: That doesn't sound like a guy that's about to play this week.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: Sounds like another week of the same, which is fine.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like Mac Jones is playing really well.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_02]: George Kiddell is fantastic.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: Joanne Jennings, we talked about this a couple of weeks ago, would do you or don't you?
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: Trade him.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: And I was open to it, depending on what you get, but I didn't think you'd get what you're not trading for a fifth, I didn't think, because why?
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's your best receiver.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: which proved to be the case again today.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: He's your best, even with the fumble.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's your best receiver.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: Kendrick Bord makes a player too.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's throw a bunch of them to Christian.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: It was great to see Brian Robinson.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: I hate being so, I don't think I'm being, I'm not positive on the game.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm certainly not positive on the defense, but,
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: The picture doesn't change today after getting beaten by the Rams.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you still split with them.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: It really kind of shines a light on how critical that that wouldn't with them early in the year was, but your your real opponents are the panther.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: The Cardinals this week, the Panthers, it'll be the Browns on the road.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: The Tennessee at home.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: Andy, I love, if you, you know, you're going to have to play some teams that are good.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: You can't get through a season without it.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: But, um, affecting an Apple's playing great, the fact that Seattle's playing great, and they're pushed to the, it's hard to play at that level at Seattle's level right now, you know, all your long.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: And.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: They're in good shape because they because Sherman's right, like they do have really good players and they run the ball well, they did today and good coaches and all that.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: They play at the Rams this week, then they play at Tennessee, then they play Minnesota, then they play at Atlanta, then they play in the, then they play the Rams, then they play the Panthers, here's who they've beat, they beat in the Steelers blow them out, beat in the Saints blow them out.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: be the cartels by three, be the jacks by eight, be the Texans by eight, good wind.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: One at the commanders, float the cardinal.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I think part of what makes that look so good and this is what makes them.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: The knatters have been there once before.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not gonna, I'm not pooping it.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: If they're when they win, not all the time they win, babe.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: But they,
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like, they're gonna play the Rams.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's a huge game this week.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: This, to me, I haven't looked at the full slate this coming week, but Rams, let's look here real quick.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: Rams C Hawks is, to me, with the most intriguing game without really looking, but it feels like it can be.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, from the Nighter standpoint of this, really, it is the best matchup of the week this week.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: Two seven and two teams.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the Eagles play the lines.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: They're both six win teams, but that's a huge game of Sunday night.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: The Chiefs play the Broncos.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's a big one.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos are eight and two.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Broncos win that game.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: They still got to play Kansas City again later, but it kind of feels like.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos win that game.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: They play the commanders and the raiders next.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, they're gonna run away with the division.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: Barring what happens with the charges are about to play Sunday and football.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: But one of the other big games, box and bills, both 6 and 3.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, it's the biggest game this week.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: There was one other ram, like you think about.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: You start getting this point in the year.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, we're bears Vikings.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's a big one for the night.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: I just mentioned that game earlier.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, that game will be same time as the night.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: It was Rams and Seahawks.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a huge one.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: that is a huge game.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, that's, I'll take a bigger evaluation of Seattle next week, but as we've said, and I've been saying it for weeks, you win, if you win four, you know, look at back starting this week, for your last date.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: You play off a lock if three of those games are Seattle Carolina, Chicago.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: Really, you say, like if you just be Seattle now,
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: You don't want to lose the Carolina Chicago, but you may not even need to beat Seattle.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: You beat Carolina and Chicago, and I think it's more likely that the West is a three team division and the playoffs than the North is.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: So they're in good shape.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: They're in good shape.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: And the thing I'm gonna get KO'd from an injury standpoint, the issues they got are the issues they got.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_02]: And they're lucky in a way that they have them in this year against the schedule.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's talk about bread and I uke for a second.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's the biggest non, are they good, can they win games, story, maybe tied with can Ricky Pierce all finish, you know, get back healthy and stay healthy.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: Their receiver core is just such a big story.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: In part because you drafted Jordan Walkins and you want him to be a contributor, but he's been hurt.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, you make a catcher, then you think, well, maybe he's gonna get an op
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: doesn't really, it's just so hard for these, you know, rookie wide receivers to make impacts with the 49ers.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: And you even on a team that's beat up, you understand, when you look out, you know, who deserves the tar, who should be getting the target?
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: Kettle and Jennings and McAfrey and, you know, born, whatever.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I think you really want to have this, I euk thing.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you'll have it settled necessarily going into the offseason.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: But I would feel better, just kind of know
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: People like to whisper about what they trade them.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Well, for that tapping, I think it's got to look healthy, he's got to play well.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: I just went ahead to see them go into the off season without the chance to watch the bitter taste out of their mouth for him and for them.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think that you just have to get on the field, have some success, maybe that may the whole thing's better already running around and practicing all that kind of stuff, but I think for true healing, you got to get back on the field.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't mean physical healing, I mean everybody healing.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: franchise make them feel a little better about the money that's getting paid fans make you feel a little bit better about you know I guess the money that's getting paid make everybody feel make him feel better I don't people you don't want to hear that necessarily but
- 18:32[SPEAKER_02]: The most important thing is that he feels good, not physically good, that too.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: But that he feels like, he's in a good place, because he's not, you just can't, that's what it felt like he was in the beginning of last year, he wasn't performing.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I would love for a variety of reasons, one of which being like, you could use them on the field, you want them to play, especially down the stretch where you're gonna be playing really important games, Pierce all the same.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: You'd love to have receiver feel kind of settled.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: And at this point, it feels like having Jordan Watkins be able to really contribute.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: going to the off season with momentum, feels like a wank shot.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: Now Ricky Pierce all did it last year at the very end of the year, and I do think it translated for him.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: It looked like it as soon as, you know, they got back to action.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like when he finally was healthy, it looked like last, the end of the last season carried over for him.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: So you'd love for that to have for Jordan Walkins.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, that team was not a playoff team at the end, and that that was kind of all that matter.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: This is a different story this year.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that that is a distant, distant priority right now, but getting Ricky Purcell healthy and getting brand on IU healthy is not distant.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's critically important for now.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's critically important for 2026.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's critically important for how you make decisions in the off season.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: So I think the IU-1 can't be big enough.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like when does this practice window open?
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: How does he look?
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: When does he get back on the field?
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think how you play next year is affected by did you get on the field this year?
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's one thing to be healthy.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's another thing to get game reps under your belly, get back up to speed, the confidence that you can cut, the confidence that you can make plays, the confidence, even if you're not going to be fully back, that you at least have a baseline.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, Kyle Shannon seemed, I thought, when I asked about it optimistic that it would happen at some point this year,
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: There's still time, it doesn't need to happen by week 11, but I, you know, I'd love for it to happen by the end of the month.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: You finish the month with them.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you play a playoff game, make a few plays there, and just, you know, get get some good vibes going.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_02]: All right, not as good Arizona this week.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what this week brings, see what this week brings.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: And when I talked to you again,
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: appreciate y'all.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for all the well wishes.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, talk to you soon later.
