- 3:04Speaker 2: hasm on our podcast. You know what I'm saying. He
- 3:06Speaker 2: said he knew about aiding Napolis because of you. He
- 3:08Speaker 2: was scared of the East Side because you had him
- 3:10Speaker 2: in Miami drinking Trinity.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I learned that shit on the West coast.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Damn.
- 3:16Speaker 1: When I was drinking here, I was drinking Tarhoe Indiana.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Woa, I mean you were working meth. Nigga had to
- 3:24Speaker 5: strike up of breaking bad was out there, moving, moving,
- 3:30Speaker 5: and shaking.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Poor hey man. It was my people when I first
- 3:34Speaker 1: moved here. Uh. I moved to terror Hoe when I
- 3:37Speaker 1: moved from Buffalo, New York into fourth grade, so I
- 3:39Speaker 1: grew up there. I didn't come to n D till
- 3:41Speaker 1: eighth grade.
- 3:42Speaker 3: So, but how did you like? How would you make
- 3:47Speaker 3: you Donna's hasl? You know what I'm saying, Because that's
- 3:48Speaker 3: a that's a strong nigga. Don't make him look like
- 3:50Speaker 3: he do a lot of shit in his spare time.
- 3:52Speaker 3: How did you make a nigga like that, like lead
- 3:54Speaker 3: a club off the pretrendity.
- 3:56Speaker 1: That ship is nasty, as simple as that. That ship
- 4:00Speaker 1: is nasty, but as strong as fuck. And at that time,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I just like to get sucked up and quick. So
- 4:06Speaker 1: that's what it was. I see your.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Method to do that when you start drinking that though,
- 4:11Speaker 4: when you got drafted.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Un before that high school, high school I had. I
- 4:18Speaker 1: had a nice getaway in high school.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I knew y'all East side was crazy. We ain't doing
- 4:23Speaker 3: none of that west do we y'all still partying together
- 4:27Speaker 3: right now? I see y'all night at All Stars, shout
- 4:30Speaker 3: OUs on my West side niggas. But now I got
- 4:34Speaker 3: a question. So growing up, I seen you, man, you
- 4:37Speaker 3: was in seventh grade. I seen you at Craig Middle School.
- 4:41Speaker 3: You wasn't a number one pick in seventh grade. I'll
- 4:43Speaker 3: tell you that. I was like, man, this dude is tall.
- 4:47Speaker 3: We seen you playing for empty here. You weren't playing
- 4:49Speaker 3: as much. Like when did basketball start picking up for you?
- 4:53Speaker 3: Like when you've seen it? Like the difference.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Actually it was the summer after seventh grade. I grew
- 4:59Speaker 1: up in a boys and girls club, so, uh, while
- 5:02Speaker 1: my mom worked late nights I was just sitting there
- 5:04Speaker 1: hooping and uh, seventh grade, I dunked the basketball and said,
- 5:08Speaker 1: why don't I just do this? It's easy, And that's
- 5:11Speaker 1: when everything started looking up for me.
- 5:13Speaker 5: So how tall was you then? Six?
- 5:16Speaker 1: Seven?
- 5:17Speaker 5: Goddamn? Yeah, I'm twelve. Your mama bid and have a change.
- 5:22Speaker 1: She had to walk around with my birth certificate when
- 5:24Speaker 1: we went to au Turnament. But like fifth grade into
- 5:28Speaker 1: fifth grade, I got to like five eleven, and by
- 5:31Speaker 1: the end of sixth grade, I was six six. What's
- 5:36Speaker 1: our shoes? You wear?
- 5:39Speaker 5: What's our shoes?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Right now?
- 5:41Speaker 3: We're in nineteen No, I mean, fuck falls, that's crazy.
- 5:47Speaker 3: I'm talking about six sixth grade, we're like thirteen.
- 5:54Speaker 1: What fuck has been in trouble? Ya?
- 5:59Speaker 5: Thirteen? Well you will get no Georgish. Well you had
- 6:02Speaker 5: to play the fool.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I can barely get them joints now.
- 6:04Speaker 5: I already know that's crazy.
- 6:08Speaker 3: But like you said, everything clicked for you got a
- 6:10Speaker 3: little bit taller once you got to high school, Like
- 6:11Speaker 3: you honestly have one of the best high school basketball
- 6:14Speaker 3: careers of all time.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Like it pays me to say this. Shouts and Ellen,
- 6:18Speaker 2: y'all went crazy. Shouts and Mike's still going crazy right now?
- 6:21Speaker 2: How was that going into that school? You know what
- 6:23Speaker 2: I'm saying, you clicked up. Your boy, y'all was already nice.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Y'all just dominated all through high school.
- 6:28Speaker 1: He was nice. He was on the front of a
- 6:31Speaker 1: like sports illustrated for kids when he was in the
- 6:35Speaker 1: second and third grade. So it's playing with with Mike.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I mean it was easy. Like you know, everybody think
- 6:41Speaker 1: that I did something. I might have did a little bit,
- 6:43Speaker 1: but he was type of point guard that you know,
- 6:46Speaker 1: put you in your right spots. He made everybody on
- 6:48Speaker 1: the court better. And uh, you know, after that uh
- 6:52Speaker 1: blunder our freshman year, we finally it finally clicked and
- 6:56Speaker 1: uh yeah, we got three state championships.
- 6:58Speaker 3: All I gotta say, like seeing Mike still playing right now,
- 7:02Speaker 3: what is that?
- 7:03Speaker 1: Like?
- 7:03Speaker 5: What does that do for you?
- 7:04Speaker 3: Like me watching him still play, I'm like, dang, boy,
- 7:06Speaker 3: he's been playing. He's been great since we were in
- 7:08Speaker 3: second grade, like you said, and he's still killing And
- 7:11Speaker 3: I'm like, it's amazing to see what even like you're seventeen.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you're seventeen, special man. I mean I'm happy for him.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Man.
- 7:17Speaker 1: You know, like ship, I can barely walk down these
- 7:19Speaker 1: stairs without my knee hurting so too, just to see
- 7:24Speaker 1: some guys out there that's our age, you know, still
- 7:26Speaker 1: going out there and Badlin playing at the highest level.
- 7:30Speaker 1: And I want him to win the championship. You know
- 7:33Speaker 1: he deserves it. He'd been playing good basketball for a
- 7:35Speaker 1: long time.
- 7:36Speaker 5: No, that's the fuck. I kind of don't want him
- 7:38Speaker 5: to though.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I kind of like being all no, It's like I'm
- 7:43Speaker 3: the only one that wants so it's like cool.
- 7:45Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. Here's yeah, you are. Here's
- 7:49Speaker 5: to be a little bit more meaningful.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Though.
- 7:52Speaker 5: Why they gonna have an outher party?
- 7:53Speaker 4: Noah?
- 7:53Speaker 5: Because he played guys your guy.
- 7:59Speaker 3: That's why eat this food. I don't like that anyway.
- 8:05Speaker 5: What's crazy?
- 8:06Speaker 1: How did y'all meet though? How did you Mike meet up? So?
- 8:12Speaker 1: I guess his dad got windo me when I was
- 8:14Speaker 1: living in terror Hold at the time, and the Speach
- 8:17Speaker 1: team pulled up when they were riverside and they all
- 8:22Speaker 1: drove down. I want to say, it was like, uh,
- 8:24Speaker 1: seven or eight of them. It was Mike, Curtis, White,
- 8:28Speaker 1: re Cheetham, Devin Williams. A little shout out to Devin Williams.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I had to get my hair with the straight backs
- 8:36Speaker 1: and you early career. But you know, they all pulled
- 8:42Speaker 1: up with coach Mike Conley and they came knocked on
- 8:45Speaker 1: my door, seven black kids my age asking to speak
- 8:49Speaker 1: to me, asked me if I wanted to play basketball.
- 8:51Speaker 1: And I looked at all them right behind my mom
- 8:53Speaker 1: and was like, it's Saturday, I'm watching cartoons and then
- 8:57Speaker 1: went back in the house. And then that fill the week.
- 9:00Speaker 1: They got me out there playing the men's league. You know,
- 9:02Speaker 1: the Riverside teams used to play in the men's league
- 9:04Speaker 1: and since then, I want to say that was sixth grade.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Me and Mike Conley played basically every game together from
- 9:11Speaker 1: sixth grade till we got drafted in the league. That's crazy.
- 9:14Speaker 5: And we're gonna talk about y'all going to school college together.
- 9:17Speaker 2: But I'll talk about y'all in high school because I
- 9:19Speaker 2: had some battles on the low, you know what I'm saying.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah, we never beat them. We never beat them. They
- 9:24Speaker 3: always beat us about five or six points. I remember
- 9:27Speaker 3: one time we played y'all. Might have been my junior year.
- 9:29Speaker 3: I think it might have been your senior year. We
- 9:32Speaker 3: played at l N. I went to the basket. It's
- 9:34Speaker 3: the first time I knew I couldn't beat your ass.
- 9:37Speaker 3: But I was like, gonna have all my Westside homie
- 9:40Speaker 3: thing in the crowd too. I was gonna tell him like,
- 9:42Speaker 3: we're gonna beat his ass. We're gonna figure this shit out.
- 9:45Speaker 3: But now I went to the basket and you blocked
- 9:47Speaker 3: the shot, and you pointed at my temple and said,
- 9:50Speaker 3: what the fuck are you thinking?
- 9:52Speaker 5: Ever since then I wanted to ask you, what the
- 9:55Speaker 5: fuck was you thinking?
- 9:59Speaker 1: Honestly, I want to say, after like after sophomore year,
- 10:03Speaker 1: so junior and senior year of high school, I found
- 10:07Speaker 1: the energy drink Boost and I used to drink like
- 10:10Speaker 1: two or three of them before the game. And I
- 10:12Speaker 1: swear to God, I don't remember nothing. I don't remember
- 10:15Speaker 1: none of that, So I apologize. I remember like there
- 10:18Speaker 1: was a couple of games I used to drunk and
- 10:21Speaker 1: it would be like the call of foul and it
- 10:22Speaker 1: would just be like I was, I was on some
- 10:27Speaker 1: he was then there three energy drinks. It's crazy. You
- 10:34Speaker 1: remember the U was the regional days. Ain't ankle you
- 10:38Speaker 1: two games one in the morning, man that shipped out
- 10:42Speaker 1: and the next thing I know.
- 10:44Speaker 5: We played out every morning and lost every time.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Besides freshman year. According that hurts.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Me very Yeah, I'm glad they got you because nobody else.
- 10:54Speaker 4: But who is your toughest match up in high school
- 10:56Speaker 4: that you can remember?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Uh? Josh McRoberts of course legend it was nice, that's
- 11:04Speaker 1: my guy.
- 11:06Speaker 6: But the school was Arlington, not the Knights lock and
- 11:11Speaker 6: you got one in the crowd any it was Arlington, man,
- 11:15Speaker 6: I want to say.
- 11:16Speaker 1: It was like it might have been junior or sophomore year. Uh,
- 11:22Speaker 1: junior year.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Okay, so we got one win, called it out celebrate.
- 11:29Speaker 1: We played them in the second round of sectionals. It
- 11:32Speaker 1: was either the second Yeah, that was the state championship. No, yuess,
- 11:39Speaker 1: it was talked about it was number one. That was
- 11:44Speaker 1: a sectional game. Hold on.
- 11:47Speaker 5: The best teams. Okay, I got you, Yes, that.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Was the state We would have been Arlington as though
- 11:53Speaker 3: y'all would have. Yeah, we were a dog down. They
- 11:56Speaker 3: were smart enough.
- 11:57Speaker 4: I ain't gonna do that till my niggas chill chill out.
- 12:00Speaker 4: You're right, Yeah, it was a better.
- 12:01Speaker 5: Shout to be shout to Buck.
- 12:03Speaker 1: But yeah, they was cheating few though.
- 12:04Speaker 4: And then when y'all played them in that sectional game,
- 12:07Speaker 4: you had like eighteen nineteen blocks. Bro, you was gold
- 12:09Speaker 4: tender like a motherfucker. You said, niggas go, and I'm
- 12:13Speaker 4: glad you're here so I can tell you about yourself
- 12:16Speaker 4: and your cheating ass coach, and y'all paid the motherfucker rest.
- 12:20Speaker 4: So shout out to my niggas at Arlington because y'all
- 12:23Speaker 4: was really supposed to lose that motherfucker. But we can
- 12:25Speaker 4: keep on with this just with the I P s. Bro,
- 12:28Speaker 4: you feel me.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Don't exist still, so he could talk about.
- 12:36Speaker 5: That's when I knew basketball was read.
- 12:38Speaker 4: I'm like, man, I hope this nigga turres a skill.
- 12:41Speaker 1: But I was on that back then and I got
- 12:46Speaker 1: you the blame my ship. Nah, that's that's the motherfucker
- 12:49Speaker 1: power drinks.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Game.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Crazy. That was a crazy guy. Different.
- 12:59Speaker 5: I ain't gonna couple comple him to lamar Older, don't
- 13:02Speaker 5: do that.
- 13:04Speaker 1: They'd be trying to do that in front of my daughter.
- 13:05Speaker 1: They'd be like, lamorrow old on my wife's be.
- 13:08Speaker 5: Like hell no, don't do me.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Like now, I had to get that off my chest. Nigga,
- 13:14Speaker 1: I was saving you.
- 13:15Speaker 5: Was school system Noah for sure.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Now, but I will say in high school that was
- 13:21Speaker 1: probably our best games because they they would get us
- 13:23Speaker 1: during the regular season and then wet y'all win the actions.
- 13:27Speaker 1: You know, so respect respect even though you only beat
- 13:31Speaker 1: us like once, Yes.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Oh you got they living on that bro, I get
- 13:36Speaker 3: text every morth.
- 13:38Speaker 5: Was the best team. He over there.
- 13:41Speaker 1: His name is Bubby.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Shout to Bubby.
- 13:43Speaker 1: It was number one though, But you went.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Crazy in high school. You know what I'm saying. How
- 13:48Speaker 2: was that decision to go to Ohio State? And I
- 13:49Speaker 2: wonder what that decision would be now with n.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I l Well, decision would have been the same, but
- 13:56Speaker 1: I would been getting paid just as much as the
- 13:58Speaker 1: quarterback at this time. I mean, and I yel it's crazy.
- 14:03Speaker 1: And I think I was talking to Jeff earlier about that.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Just the type of talent that's getting the five hundred
- 14:12Speaker 1: thousands the millions. Sometimes you'd be like, well, damn, what
- 14:16Speaker 1: would we would have got, Like when somebody gonna suit
- 14:19Speaker 1: so we can get our back, I can't wait.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Look, you would have got five million off top man.
- 14:24Speaker 3: He was the best player in the nation. You was
- 14:26Speaker 3: a generational talent like it. We wasn't too many people
- 14:29Speaker 3: walking around like you were jumping forty You got a
- 14:32Speaker 3: forty foot inch vertical whatever it was, forty inch foot posts,
- 14:36Speaker 3: you got forty inch vertical, Like you was going crazy.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Like nobody in the world was like you at that time.
- 14:41Speaker 3: You would have got five million dollars easy.
- 14:43Speaker 5: That's on the low end. Only easy, bro.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I would have took it after taxes.
- 14:48Speaker 3: I mean you already got that anyway when you went
- 14:50Speaker 3: to a house that we ain't gonna talk about it.
- 14:52Speaker 5: I know the truth.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Hold on, I gotta tell this story because this hit
- 14:57Speaker 1: a nerve. I remember one time I was in the
- 15:00Speaker 1: locker room. I was talking to Brandon Roy and LaMarcus
- 15:02Speaker 1: and I was like, yeah, man, I ain't get paid.
- 15:04Speaker 1: All I got was pail grant at Ohio State. Shout
- 15:07Speaker 1: out to coach Mada. He do everything the right way.
- 15:10Speaker 1: But I was able to get pail grant. So that's
- 15:13Speaker 1: my little thousand. Every couple of weeks. Man, these foods
- 15:16Speaker 1: laughed in my face, but like belly laughed hard when
- 15:20Speaker 1: I said I didn't get paid paid how much you got?
- 15:27Speaker 5: Shout out to wait.
- 15:30Speaker 4: When after that freshman year, Oh my mama was straight.
- 15:35Speaker 4: You only got a thousand in Ohio State.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I just got pil grant Man get paid.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Out of pocket. You gotta talk to Turner.
- 15:44Speaker 1: So I remember the story ran into this little runner
- 15:48Speaker 1: back in the day. It was like agents trying to
- 15:49Speaker 1: get guys and uh one night gave me a hundred
- 15:53Speaker 1: dollars anything. You know, I'll take care of you. The
- 15:56Speaker 1: next day, Jim Jackson comes and talks to the Ohio
- 16:00Speaker 1: State basketball team. He's talked to us for thirty minutes
- 16:03Speaker 1: and ends on the You know, if you do everything
- 16:06Speaker 1: in the right way for Ohio State, the buck gy
- 16:09Speaker 1: faithful would love you for life. Man. I had to
- 16:12Speaker 1: go back and get that man eight hundred dollars. Man,
- 16:14Speaker 1: I did, I really did. I did not take any
- 16:17Speaker 1: money while I was at the Ohio State University.
- 16:19Speaker 5: Damn fool.
- 16:21Speaker 7: Nobody give a fuck about one hundred dollars Jackson. Nigga
- 16:27Speaker 7: was getting one thousand dollars every six months. You needed that, honey.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Was That's actually what I lived off of the draft.
- 16:38Speaker 1: But no, man is at that time, you know, you
- 16:41Speaker 1: couldn't get none in Ohio State. You know, with the
- 16:43Speaker 1: Maurice Colorette stuff, it was just right. Everything was on,
- 16:47Speaker 1: so you just had to do stuff the right way.
- 16:49Speaker 5: You're right Maurice fucked it up for y'all for sure.
- 16:53Speaker 1: And that year you was there.
- 16:54Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying, y'all went crazy.
- 16:55Speaker 2: In particularly, you went crazy and you had to play
- 16:57Speaker 2: without your dominant hand. That's like one of the most
- 17:00Speaker 2: amazing feats in basketball. And don't get spoken another. You
- 17:02Speaker 2: dominated college basketball with your off heir, respect Bro, I
- 17:06Speaker 2: appreciate that.
- 17:07Speaker 5: No, that was crazy. He was killing Bro.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Like, now, it's amazing that you were shooting free throws
- 17:12Speaker 3: with your left hand at seven foot You know, big
- 17:15Speaker 3: guys struggle at the free throw line and for you
- 17:18Speaker 3: to be able to switch hands to do that, that
- 17:20Speaker 3: was crazy.
- 17:21Speaker 1: It wasn't that crazy to me. I just went up
- 17:23Speaker 1: there and was like, don't airball to damn sixty seven.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Maybe that's with the off hand though, that's crazy.
- 17:32Speaker 5: That's good though. How was that match up against Florida? Though?
- 17:35Speaker 4: In that championship game? Who was your toughest Who is
- 17:39Speaker 4: the toughest matchup?
- 17:40Speaker 1: You think? Was it?
- 17:40Speaker 4: Al Horford or Corey Brewer? Joe kim Nord was on this.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Al Horford Corey Brewer joke him, No, little.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Guard Torian Green, Chris Richards, Maurice Spates, and somebody else.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I want to say they got drafted or played on
- 17:59Speaker 1: it NBA team.
- 18:01Speaker 4: But ship I had a whip too, Now y'all had
- 18:04Speaker 4: a whip too. Jude day Kwan, Mike Mike what was
- 18:11Speaker 4: thirty three name? I forgot his name? The shooter that
- 18:14Speaker 4: you had? Now outside of Daikwan, who else was on
- 18:18Speaker 4: the team? Ron Lewis, Ron Lewis, who had the shot
- 18:21Speaker 4: against Xavier? Yeah yeah, Othello Hunter?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah, was in Atlanta? In Atlanta, Yes, sir,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I whole played a long time. Man. Oh she's we've
- 18:34Speaker 1: seen him man big fan Oh man.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yeah, crazy crazy wow. Without the balls, just the court,
- 18:43Speaker 3: without the spirit, it's only a game.
- 18:45Speaker 5: So together with the fast we bring our best.
- 18:47Speaker 2: He is excited to celebrate the intersection of basketball with art, music,
- 18:51Speaker 2: and fashion. Each of these elements and culture represents the
- 18:54Speaker 2: ways that players, fasts, and supporters all pay how much
- 18:57Speaker 2: of the game, both on and off the court.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Hennessy and Mitch Well this came together for the Ultimate
- 19:01Speaker 3: Drop to show they share love for basketball and the coatre.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Look man Hennessy and Mitchellan That's got together to do

- 20:02Speaker 2: Drink responsibly and so obviously you know y'all went crazy,
- 20:06Speaker 2: came up short the national championship, but you end up
- 20:08Speaker 2: being the number one pick that summer.
- 20:10Speaker 5: How was that summer for you?
- 20:11Speaker 2: Going from Ohio States to being the number one pick,
- 20:13Speaker 2: Like obviously was always highly were cool, I always talented,
- 20:16Speaker 2: But to be official to number one pick, Like, how
- 20:19Speaker 2: was that process for you?
- 20:21Speaker 1: It was a whirl wind. Uh shit, just going through
- 20:24Speaker 1: the draft process and everything you gotta do, especially knowing
- 20:27Speaker 1: you could be one or two. Just always doing interviews,
- 20:31Speaker 1: just going here and there, never really getting the time
- 20:33Speaker 1: to yourself to sit down. But I remember at the
- 20:38Speaker 1: draft like, right, you know, after we got called, I
- 20:41Speaker 1: remember running to Joe Kim. He was like, GYO, were
- 20:44Speaker 1: gonna turn up in the city where we going? And
- 20:46Speaker 1: motherfuckers Portland was like, yeah, you got an hour to
- 20:50Speaker 1: say by to your family, We got a jet, we
- 20:52Speaker 1: got a whole parade set up for you the next day.
- 20:55Speaker 1: So I will say I missed out on my turn
- 20:57Speaker 1: up night with all the draftees in New York, but
- 21:01Speaker 1: that parade in Portland and being the number one pick
- 21:03Speaker 1: and seeing everything in that city what could have been
- 21:08Speaker 1: was definitely an experience I will never forget and so
- 21:12Speaker 1: thankful for it because it changed my life for sure.
- 21:16Speaker 2: And obviously that Portland team obviously when you playing, you
- 21:19Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. Despite the injuries, y'all had some
- 21:22Speaker 2: really talented people on the team. Y'all definitely like one
- 21:24Speaker 2: of the wonder of teams. How was it to play
- 21:26Speaker 2: with like a LaMarcus Artists and to have a Brandon
- 21:28Speaker 2: Royo squad because y'all all was super talented.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Yes, we were just super young and I rarely got
- 21:34Speaker 1: to play with him.
- 21:35Speaker 4: You know, I played like seventy six games I read together.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Damn it might have been seventy two for real. Yeah,
- 21:43Speaker 1: but those dudes were so talented. You know, Brandon roy
- 21:46Speaker 1: always walking in what app Greg out then? He never
- 21:49Speaker 1: just called me Greg. He always had to say my
- 21:51Speaker 1: full name. That's my guy in LaMarcus. Man, just what
- 21:54Speaker 1: one of the most unstoppable games. So either you're gonna
- 21:57Speaker 1: stop me going to this hook, I'm gonna do this
- 21:59Speaker 1: time around Jay. He was just so smooth and uh,
- 22:03Speaker 1: you know, I really wish I was healthy enough to
- 22:05Speaker 1: be able to help build what Portland had. Man, we
- 22:08Speaker 1: had some guys coming into Steve Blake's, the Andre Miller's,
- 22:13Speaker 1: Gerald Wallace Is you know it.
- 22:15Speaker 5: Was hello gs.
- 22:17Speaker 3: No, we did get as, but that was necessary back
- 22:20Speaker 3: then though.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, playing with Marcus Canby, Joe Chris Billa, Damn
- 22:26Speaker 1: Lames right that. Hey, man, dude, I learned a lot.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I just wish I was out on the floor.
- 22:32Speaker 3: I've seen an interview with Brendan Roy. He was talking
- 22:34Speaker 3: about how when you first got there, you were just dominating.
- 22:37Speaker 3: He was like, it was so impressive to see you
- 22:39Speaker 3: like he was like, I knew I was gonna win
- 22:41Speaker 3: two A three championship with him. He was so good,
- 22:43Speaker 3: and it just took me back to like you in
- 22:45Speaker 3: high school and seeing you in AU. I'm like, bro,
- 22:47Speaker 3: he was so dominant, So I knew what he was
- 22:49Speaker 3: talking about.
- 22:50Speaker 5: You.
- 22:51Speaker 3: You was the man. Like everybody around here know you.
- 22:53Speaker 3: We know how dominant you are. So the injury sucks
- 22:56Speaker 3: part of the game. But yeah, you definitely was one
- 22:59Speaker 3: of them dominant for sure.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I appreciate that.
- 23:02Speaker 2: You was on the cover of College who was like,
- 23:04Speaker 2: I know, college football coming back this year, niggas is
- 23:05Speaker 2: geeked about that. But you was going to cover one
- 23:07Speaker 2: of the best basketball games. Ever, how was that? And
- 23:10Speaker 2: did you get paid for that?
- 23:12Speaker 1: I should I get paid for that? No? I think
- 23:16Speaker 1: I took the honor. Now. I was.
- 23:17Speaker 5: I was an agent in fucking college.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Have no agent in college?
- 23:23Speaker 5: Man oh Man man tapping and kids I got, y'all.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I mean, you know, just being able to look back
- 23:29Speaker 1: at that. I mean I think it was the last,
- 23:32Speaker 1: maybe one of the the second to last, like college,
- 23:35Speaker 1: you know, putting college players on you know, so it
- 23:38Speaker 1: was it was nice. Have you.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Have you gone back and see what we look like
- 23:43Speaker 3: in them games? Noy? Somebody randomly like Instagram even I
- 23:49Speaker 3: was bad boy, Nah homie did a real of all
- 23:51Speaker 3: of your graphics from like college to two week them
- 23:55Speaker 3: first two K graphics.
- 23:56Speaker 5: It's crazy. And they had a moll I'm sick of
- 24:02Speaker 5: this ship.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Bro.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Wow, look I know we interview on Greg. What made
- 24:07Speaker 4: Joe Lamers get a mohawk that you was up? Why
- 24:11Speaker 4: are you getting the mohawk? Corney ass?
- 24:16Speaker 5: Y'all laughing at this ship? It was I was, I.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Was living a way. I was living in Atlanta. Bro,
- 24:22Speaker 1: he gotta die.
- 24:23Speaker 3: I ain't get that ship, nigga get it died, But
- 24:28Speaker 3: I did ask for a designer.
- 24:36Speaker 5: Hell, no, obould you play each other in high school?
- 24:39Speaker 5: How was that? Did y'all catch the gave each other
- 24:41Speaker 5: in the pros?
- 24:42Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 24:42Speaker 3: I got to play against Greg every time he walked
- 24:44Speaker 3: up to me, Like, how the hell you get to Atlanta.
- 24:47Speaker 3: I'm in Portant. He was saying to me every single
- 24:50Speaker 3: time I seen him. I'm like, Ship, I can't get
- 24:52Speaker 3: in the game. Fuck me in Atlanta. I'm gonna get
- 24:55Speaker 3: in like.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I used to Hey, I ain't gonna lie. It was
- 24:59Speaker 1: you and out Horford Man. And after that was in
- 25:02Speaker 1: the Sierra video, I was hating every time I've seen y'all, nigga.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I was like, I.
- 25:10Speaker 5: Want about playing, I'm worried about party.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I'm injured, man, I got free time on my hand.
- 25:16Speaker 5: Some Goodies was a nice video, spectacularly back in the day.
- 25:21Speaker 4: How was that though, watching Brendan Roy, who because he
- 25:23Speaker 4: got stopped his career got stopped with injuries to men,
- 25:26Speaker 4: How was that we talked about him before on the show.
- 25:29Speaker 4: I think Joe Johnson was better personally, but Brendan Roy
- 25:33Speaker 4: was a dog for sure.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I mean they're both really good. But Brandon, it was
- 25:37Speaker 1: just so natural to him out there in Portland that
- 25:40Speaker 1: gave him the nickname the natural Man, Like he was
- 25:43Speaker 1: just do things that you just nobody was even thinking of.
- 25:46Speaker 1: You know, He's just I mean a lot of guys
- 25:48Speaker 1: from that Seattle area got game like that. They can
- 25:51Speaker 1: just score man. They just bucket getters. And it was
- 25:54Speaker 1: just such a good dude. You know, I wish he
- 25:56Speaker 1: could have played a little longer as well.
- 25:58Speaker 5: Man.
- 26:00Speaker 1: So talented man, and he carried you know, the teams
- 26:04Speaker 1: we did have. It wasn't a long time, but you
- 26:06Speaker 1: know he was He just did things. Man. Sometimes I
- 26:09Speaker 1: find myself going back and watching Brandon Roy's top ten
- 26:12Speaker 1: players on YouTube. Hey, man, that was cold.
- 26:16Speaker 5: He was. He was right behind Kobe if he ain't
- 26:19Speaker 5: get hurt. Nah, he was like that, No, I love
- 26:23Speaker 5: Brendan Roy game.
- 26:23Speaker 4: You putting me right behind Kobe's crazy.
- 26:26Speaker 5: But he was like, yeah, that's.
- 26:29Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 26:33Speaker 5: I'm doing a lot. You're doing a lot today.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Okay, you may not got to Atlanta, but you definitely
- 26:38Speaker 2: got to play in Miami.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I did. It was one year Lebron's last year, and uh,
- 26:47Speaker 1: you know, I learned a lot basketball wise and off
- 26:50Speaker 1: the court wise, just with being with all those Hall
- 26:53Speaker 1: of Famers and great players for a long time, and
- 26:57Speaker 1: then basketball wise, man, I've never seen basketball at that level.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I mean, basically, you were seeing guys playing at the
- 27:04Speaker 1: top of their game, and were talking about Hall of
- 27:06Speaker 1: famers playing at the top of their game, and I
- 27:09Speaker 1: will say to me, Lebron James is the best player
- 27:11Speaker 1: to play the game, even though I love Jordan, I
- 27:14Speaker 1: love Shack, and I think Will Chamberlain is the main
- 27:17Speaker 1: But watching Bron do it like out there, like watching
- 27:21Speaker 1: him get sixty three points in the game and I'm
- 27:25Speaker 1: getting four points playing sixteen minutes, tired as hell, game over,
- 27:29Speaker 1: he dancing around. I'm about to die, my leg about
- 27:33Speaker 1: to fall off off of sixteen minutes Like the man
- 27:36Speaker 1: just had crazy energy, man, And I'm that That year
- 27:40Speaker 1: in Miami was good and I didn't go out that
- 27:43Speaker 1: much because I knew I didn't want to get in trouble.
- 27:46Speaker 1: So I told myself I could have one cheap meal
- 27:49Speaker 1: and I can't go to South Beach until the end
- 27:52Speaker 1: of the season.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Oh he was locked in.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, couldn't have been me.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Boy was outside movie track to home my jersey or
- 28:05Speaker 5: for real for heat?
- 28:06Speaker 1: Now, Bro, that's Mike. Don't do that. Man, I'm trying
- 28:10Speaker 1: to add my name. So what's up with your charities?
- 28:12Speaker 8: Now?
- 28:12Speaker 5: What charities you're working with?
- 28:14Speaker 1: Now? So the first one right now coaching at Butler,
- 28:18Speaker 1: A big charity is called a kid Again is throughout
- 28:22Speaker 1: the country, but basically a kid again. They provide adventures
- 28:26Speaker 1: for families that have kids dealing with life threatening illnesses,
- 28:31Speaker 1: So basically something for the whole families just to get
- 28:34Speaker 1: their mind off of being in the hospital and dealing
- 28:37Speaker 1: with whatever illness.
- 28:38Speaker 5: That is.
- 28:39Speaker 1: So a kid again. It is a great organization right
- 28:42Speaker 1: here in the city. The Coats mess with it, Pacers
- 28:45Speaker 1: mess with it, Butler messes with it. So if you
- 28:48Speaker 1: all want to check that out, or if you have
- 28:50Speaker 1: people who are dealing with life threatening illnesses and just
- 28:53Speaker 1: need something, need a community, you guys should look them up.
- 28:58Speaker 5: Now that's dope.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Bro.
- 29:00Speaker 5: Did you get into coaching?
- 29:02Speaker 1: Honestly, I just kind of fell into it just trying
- 29:06Speaker 1: to be around basketball. You know, in my career it
- 29:09Speaker 1: was basically taken away from me with all the injuries,
- 29:11Speaker 1: so just trying to be around the game. Went back
- 29:15Speaker 1: to Ohio State to get my Bassador's degree, and you know,
- 29:20Speaker 1: just was going to practices every day. And then I
- 29:23Speaker 1: just figured, you know, I got a lot to offer
- 29:25Speaker 1: some of these young kids. I know the game, I
- 29:28Speaker 1: got experience in life and the ups and downs of
- 29:32Speaker 1: being a pro played college at the highest level. So
- 29:36Speaker 1: it's something that I kind of just pursued.
- 29:38Speaker 3: You talk about coaching, Could you ever ever see him
- 29:40Speaker 3: being a high school coach?
- 29:42Speaker 5: Knowing him as long as you know.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Him, I think so. I think so because these kids
- 29:49Speaker 1: needed this these days. Man. Honestly, you need somebody like
- 29:53Speaker 1: that's gonna go out there and it was gonna show
- 29:55Speaker 1: them and probably cross them over and cut them out
- 29:57Speaker 1: at the same time, because they really do not listen
- 30:00Speaker 1: these days. You need somebody that that's proven, an NBA champion,
- 30:04Speaker 1: that can go out there and tell them, you know,
- 30:06Speaker 1: what they need to do to get to that level.
- 30:08Speaker 1: So I'm gonna go ahead give him and his props
- 30:11Speaker 1: as the NBA champion.
- 30:12Speaker 3: He is appreciate that. I think they took my ring
- 30:15Speaker 3: back though, Yeah, they took my ring back. The Bucks says, They.
- 30:21Speaker 5: Tell me, yeah I did.
- 30:23Speaker 4: They don't with you, he said, he still got to
- 30:26Speaker 4: deal with Pearents bro at the college level.
- 30:29Speaker 5: I would imagine.
- 30:30Speaker 3: I mean, there's a lot of money being thrown around now,
- 30:33Speaker 3: so you know, if you don't feel like your son
- 30:34Speaker 3: in the best situation, they probably gonna complain a.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Little bit, you know what I mean.
- 30:38Speaker 5: But it's a tough environment right now.
- 30:40Speaker 1: You think that hurt the game. G I don't what
- 30:44Speaker 1: you're talking about. N I L yeah, I uh no,
- 30:48Speaker 1: because the players should have been getting paid a long
- 30:50Speaker 1: time ago. I just think it needs to have a
- 30:54Speaker 1: cap on it because right now it's kind of the
- 30:57Speaker 1: have and half not. You know, the big school can
- 31:00Speaker 1: just you can throw five hundred thousand at a player
- 31:03Speaker 1: that's gonna be your twelfth man, you know, out of Kansas,
- 31:07Speaker 1: when this kid can be your best player, and the
- 31:10Speaker 1: most you can give him is two hundred thousand at
- 31:12Speaker 1: a small school gotch So it's just you know, and
- 31:15Speaker 1: then the transfer portal was gonna add to that because
- 31:18Speaker 1: you got all these good kids going and sitting the
- 31:20Speaker 1: bench at a big school and then they're gonna transfer.
- 31:23Speaker 1: They don't go somewhere else, maybe a smaller school that
- 31:26Speaker 1: didn't recruit them. They're gonna dominate. So now another big
- 31:29Speaker 1: school comes in saying you can be the man. So
- 31:31Speaker 1: now they transfer again. And then another thing that's happening
- 31:34Speaker 1: is these kids ain't finishing out. They spring, they spring turn,
- 31:38Speaker 1: so now they're dropping out of school early and then
- 31:41Speaker 1: trying to catch up. So a lot of them are
- 31:42Speaker 1: not gonna finish their degree.
- 31:44Speaker 5: Gotcha.
- 31:44Speaker 1: And another thing, they don't get any financial education. Like
- 31:49Speaker 1: all these kids at a young age are getting all
- 31:51Speaker 1: this money and nobody is really telling them what to do.
- 31:55Speaker 1: You know, a lot of these kids are paying agents,
- 31:58Speaker 1: h Lee. I mean like in the NBA. Like in
- 32:02Speaker 1: the NBA, you're only playing like three four percent, and
- 32:07Speaker 1: a lot of these kids, or even the parents or
- 32:09Speaker 1: even the families from where these kids coming from don't
- 32:11Speaker 1: even know. So it's gonna be a lot So in
- 32:13Speaker 1: the long run, I think it is going to hurt
- 32:16Speaker 1: the game until we get some cap on it.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Now.
- 32:18Speaker 3: I remember you came to talk to us in the NBA.
- 32:20Speaker 3: You came to Minnesota. I was in Minnesota and you
- 32:22Speaker 3: came up and told us about your experience when it
- 32:24Speaker 3: came to financial stuff. And you doing that and sharing
- 32:28Speaker 3: that kind of info with the kids. Man, it's big
- 32:29Speaker 3: because right now it is an environment where everybody is
- 32:32Speaker 3: just getting a lot of money, buying scat packs and
- 32:34Speaker 3: all types of stuff, and that money can last them
- 32:37Speaker 3: and give them a really good head start on life.
- 32:39Speaker 3: But I don't think they see it yet because everybody
- 32:41Speaker 3: think they going to the NBA. So you saying that it's.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Big, Yeah, I've been working with this company as your
- 32:47Speaker 1: Core for about four years now and just teaching financial
- 32:51Speaker 1: literacy to athletes and entertainers, and we're moving to the college,
- 32:56Speaker 1: but we're also still doing professional athletes and entertainers and
- 33:00Speaker 1: it's definitely a lot, it's definitely needed. And uh, you know,
- 33:04Speaker 1: when I would go and talk, I had a lot
- 33:06Speaker 1: of horror stories. So I kind of come in as
- 33:09Speaker 1: a you know, an ex athlete that can kind of
- 33:11Speaker 1: tell these guys to you know, basically be better with
- 33:14Speaker 1: their money. Don't do what I did. And I'll just say,
- 33:18Speaker 1: I like to tell this one story. It was like,
- 33:20Speaker 1: you know, when you was young, you was getting your checks,
- 33:22Speaker 1: you knew it was coming. It was being director positive.
- 33:25Speaker 1: And all I knew was that my money was on
- 33:27Speaker 1: my card and I can get whatever I wanted off
- 33:29Speaker 1: my debit card at any time, and it was gonna
- 33:32Speaker 1: be there next month. Well, shit, I'm in the club
- 33:34Speaker 1: one day and I'm a credit card didn't work, and
- 33:38Speaker 1: it's like one point thirty in the morning, and it's
- 33:41Speaker 1: to the point where I wasn't as engaged with my
- 33:44Speaker 1: financial people, so I didn't even know who to call,
- 33:47Speaker 1: Like if I was going to call the back of
- 33:48Speaker 1: the car. I wasn't even know my own security number
- 33:52Speaker 1: to even verify myself because I just had people handling
- 33:55Speaker 1: that for me. So the biggest thing we like to say,
- 33:58Speaker 1: and the financial literacy, as the person who's making the money,
- 34:02Speaker 1: be as engaged. Know where your money is coming from
- 34:04Speaker 1: and where it's going. Know who the people are that's
- 34:07Speaker 1: handling your money, because you don't want to be stuck
- 34:09Speaker 1: in the club like me emailing the financial guy in
- 34:12Speaker 1: California and it's two in the morning.
- 34:15Speaker 3: You know, get you back now. Ooh, that's that happened
- 34:19Speaker 3: to me at Louis Vauton one time. I was in
- 34:21Speaker 3: there trying to purchase something for for one for p
- 34:25Speaker 3: I don't say pee, So I'm trying to purchase something
- 34:27Speaker 3: for pe.
- 34:27Speaker 5: Tricker route tricker. Why didn't get in my car? My
- 34:33Speaker 5: card decline?
- 34:33Speaker 1: I was in a letter.
- 34:34Speaker 3: I was at the store called Jeffreys my card decline.
- 34:37Speaker 3: I leave because I'm embarrassed. I go to the bank.
- 34:41Speaker 3: I gonna get like twenty thousand. I got it, but
- 34:44Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm buying stuff all you woke. That's stupid shit.
- 34:49Speaker 3: But that happened to me too. Now, kids, need them
- 34:53Speaker 3: stories though, bro.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Especially like you said the transfer report of the n
- 34:57Speaker 2: IL so crazy is that they can have these agreements
- 34:59Speaker 2: for money, but they don't have to fulfill them because
- 35:01Speaker 2: there's nothing back in those situations like bigger companies, you
- 35:04Speaker 2: can do that, but it's so many horstords of kids
- 35:06Speaker 2: that in transferred places promises money but they ain't performed
- 35:09Speaker 2: that they were supposed to perform them and they ain't
- 35:11Speaker 2: get that bread.
- 35:12Speaker 5: But you can't suit nobody for that shit.
- 35:14Speaker 2: And I think that's the most important thing going forward
- 35:16Speaker 2: is to where to protect these kids growing up. Now, Yes,
- 35:18Speaker 2: it's a lot of money throw on their face, but
- 35:19Speaker 2: none of this shit is actually like solidified there. So
- 35:22Speaker 2: y'all having a company is saving a lot of people.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Yeah. And another thing on on that is, well, if
- 35:28Speaker 1: you're gonna come in and say I need my money guaranteed,
- 35:31Speaker 1: and we're gonna come in and say, well then I
- 35:32Speaker 1: need fifteen points a game sure, and that's gonna start
- 35:36Speaker 1: messing with it again.
- 35:37Speaker 5: So that's tough.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Get rid of the NIL though, Bro, Oh, I don't
- 35:43Speaker 3: know about that. You get rid of it, bro, I
- 35:47Speaker 3: need to get paid. You get paid, I'm saying, though,
- 35:49Speaker 3: like you said. Well, I'm not gonna say get rid
- 35:51Speaker 3: of it, but put a cap on them. Like he said, though, bro,
- 35:53Speaker 3: because why these kids don't be worth that what they're
- 35:56Speaker 3: getting for real?
- 35:58Speaker 1: Het get paid.
- 36:00Speaker 4: He but I'm saying, though, Bro, a lot of kids
- 36:02Speaker 4: be cold at a small school. And like he said,
- 36:05Speaker 4: the dude could be the twelfth man on kids is
- 36:06Speaker 4: getting found on the bands. I ain't count nobody's bread.
- 36:09Speaker 4: I'm just saying, like, spread the money. So it's not
- 36:12Speaker 4: as Sianna can't compete with dude. You know what I'm
- 36:16Speaker 4: saying with the nil. So that's why it's tough for shit.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Fuck it.
- 36:19Speaker 3: If I'm if I know I ain't going to the
- 36:21Speaker 3: league'm getting biggest bag.
- 36:22Speaker 5: I can't out the gate. I grew out a bitch.
- 36:25Speaker 5: Respect bro. We can move on. I don't want to
- 36:29Speaker 5: get into my spill.
- 36:31Speaker 1: I go here.
- 36:32Speaker 5: You you can do it, man. We're good for sure,
- 36:35Speaker 5: all right.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Greg.
- 36:35Speaker 5: I gotta ask you, what's the best team you've ever
- 36:36Speaker 5: been on?
- 36:38Speaker 1: Uh? The Miami Heat team?
- 36:40Speaker 5: Oh that easy?
- 36:42Speaker 1: Twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen. I mean we made to the
- 36:44Speaker 1: NBA Finals. Not gonna lie.
- 36:47Speaker 3: I think you out of pocket, saying Bron better than
- 36:49Speaker 3: Jordan though, oh.
- 36:52Speaker 1: No, no, no, no no. I grew up with Jordan's.
- 36:55Speaker 1: I'm saying the person I've literally seen with my own
- 37:00Speaker 1: eyes do it. So that's when I go, Bron is
- 37:03Speaker 1: my goat because I've actually seen it. Now, I grew
- 37:06Speaker 1: up on Jordan. I love Jordan. I think he's the
- 37:09Speaker 1: greatest thing, like everybody else, like I would tell my
- 37:11Speaker 1: daughter Michael Jordans, but for me personally, it's Lebron because
- 37:16Speaker 1: I've seen him do stuff that, like, I ain't think
- 37:19Speaker 1: it's possible.
- 37:20Speaker 5: No Lebron cold he he he probably is. He like
- 37:24Speaker 5: one a. And when Michael Jordan like not in the system,
- 37:28Speaker 5: like he by itself because like.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Mj everybody wanted to be j not everybody want to
- 37:33Speaker 3: be Bron, Like that's not everybody want to be Bron Bro.
- 37:37Speaker 5: Like we still look.
- 37:37Speaker 3: You look in the crowd right now, it's Jordan's everywhere,
- 37:41Speaker 3: Like everybody wear Jordan's. Everybody still want to be George.
- 37:43Speaker 3: I got Jordan's on. I don't know what the fuck
- 37:46Speaker 3: you got on.
- 37:47Speaker 5: But everybody as today.
- 37:52Speaker 8: As I got you, brother, go ahead, you deal.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Man, my nigga, the real I don't, but I think
- 38:08Speaker 4: on the court though, it's kind of hard to be
- 38:10Speaker 4: like Lebron James, that's what he's saying, Like, you don't
- 38:13Speaker 4: train your kid to be like a Lebron because he's
- 38:16Speaker 4: definitely a once in a lifetime type of talent.
- 38:19Speaker 1: He's saying.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Influential wise, Jordan's more impactful. I would say, more relatable,
- 38:24Speaker 4: you know what I mean.
- 38:25Speaker 2: As a big man. I got to ask you how
- 38:27Speaker 2: you feel about Yokis from the NBA right now.
- 38:30Speaker 1: I'm proud of it. Jokis is me and Jeff was talking.
- 38:35Speaker 1: He got that game and he's going to play if
- 38:38Speaker 1: he wanted to for twenty five years and can still
- 38:41Speaker 1: dominate it as long as he can move. Man, his
- 38:45Speaker 1: IQ of the game and just the things he can
- 38:48Speaker 1: do with his body and lack of athleticism, it is
- 38:54Speaker 1: just amazing. And I think a lot of these kids
- 38:57Speaker 1: coming up need to take notice of the skill and
- 39:02Speaker 1: just the IQ of the game to be that type
- 39:04Speaker 1: of dominant player, not just being athletic.
- 39:07Speaker 3: It's gonna get you there for sure, all right, before
- 39:12Speaker 3: we get out of here, obviously I know who you're
- 39:13Speaker 3: taking the Temple Wolfs Nuggets, but who you got Small
- 39:17Speaker 3: game seven Pacers, Knicks. I got Pacers, my nigga Joe
- 39:22Speaker 3: Joe Nix and seven Bro.
- 39:25Speaker 5: I got Jaylen Bronson.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Well, I've been saying I think the Knicks are the
- 39:31Speaker 1: better team technically, that scophon I am. I'm all in
- 39:37Speaker 1: on the Pacers right now.
- 39:38Speaker 5: Man, I like the Pacer. I but the guard playing
- 39:42Speaker 5: at the Gordon game seven.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Right now, I think the Knicks is just too banged
- 39:45Speaker 1: up for me to see him.
- 39:47Speaker 3: But that crowd gonna be crazy, you know how the
- 39:49Speaker 3: atmosphere is a lot of people shrinking them kind of
- 39:52Speaker 3: environments and it's gonna be.
- 39:53Speaker 1: New York in New York, and that's thank you.
- 39:57Speaker 3: I know, I know they did something yesterday. They went
- 40:00Speaker 3: to some bar or something.
- 40:02Speaker 5: Yeah, it's over what bro? Yeah, it's oh you know
- 40:05Speaker 5: my model.
- 40:06Speaker 4: Males Turner, Teama Turner, Britney Turner, Nixon seven.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Bro. No, I don't know that.
- 40:15Speaker 5: Nixon seven.
- 40:15Speaker 3: It's o g back Nah, don't matter, Pasture of seven.
- 40:20Speaker 3: I alread you talking about masters score.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Going gonna ask what's one of the most craziest environments
- 40:23Speaker 2: you played the basketball game?
- 40:24Speaker 1: Yeh uh, Michigan State. Man, Michigan State. We went out
- 40:32Speaker 1: and we was warming up before the game, and it
- 40:34Speaker 1: got quiet. Craig, how was War two?
- 40:39Speaker 5: Damn?
- 40:40Speaker 1: I'm nineteen at the time.
- 40:41Speaker 5: I was like, you look thirty.
- 40:43Speaker 1: How did somebody you look? Hey? So nobody said nothing
- 40:47Speaker 1: on my team and I respect him for it. But
- 40:49Speaker 1: when we went in the back, was like, hey, did
- 40:52Speaker 1: y'all hear what they said about Craig?
- 40:57Speaker 3: I go like, yo, you gotta get burst certificate. Bro
- 41:01Speaker 3: pro demned every one of the Africans. Bro, yeah, you
- 41:04Speaker 3: said Greg is real passal.
- 41:07Speaker 5: Twenty.
- 41:07Speaker 1: My African is crazy?
- 41:09Speaker 2: You know?
- 41:10Speaker 1: No, my face is crazy.
- 41:14Speaker 5: It's crazy. Oh, by fun, I'm willing my.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Disrespectful No, I look at it like this. They told me.
- 41:21Speaker 1: When I was sixteen, I looked thirty five. I was
- 41:24Speaker 1: twenty one. I looked thirty five. I'm thirty six right now.
- 41:29Speaker 1: You look hopefully when I'm fifty, you look look forty five.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Oh you got braids, so I can't. I can't do
- 41:36Speaker 1: them no more. So shout out to you, you old
- 41:39Speaker 1: niggas that you don't know. I ain't haf his braids
- 41:41Speaker 1: before you cut them off, you know? Is that why
- 41:44Speaker 1: I'm just in my little space right here. You're going
- 41:47Speaker 1: to put them holes out them crazy. The real last is, hey,
- 41:53Speaker 1: you know what, y'all right crazy, I'm gonna start heating again.
- 42:00Speaker 3: That's yeah, Yeah, Jeff, you got to bring back the
- 42:04Speaker 3: pipe brades by this ship barely hanging over this is
- 42:08Speaker 3: a shout out to you, the real lead.
- 42:13Speaker 5: My ships were like nipsy brod under that I hate.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I got the definite will man, that's what they gave
