- 0:25Now let's open our Bibles and study God's Word.
- 0:30Thank you ever. Thank you so much.
- 0:32Thank you, Kanye. Love you.
- 0:33Thank you. Good morning.
- 0:36I was telling our staff that I was going to be going to Denver
- 0:40and my administrator said Denver, man, they're bussing
- 0:44people from El Paso, TX here and it's with the name like poncho,
- 0:48you're going to get caught. So I said no, I'm wearing my
- 0:52special suit. So that's.
- 0:56When they stop me, I go no, no, no, Oblin Glass, Vietnam
- 1:01Veteran. Hey, hey, in all seriousness,
- 1:07things are happening in Israel. We have a group in Israel right
- 1:09now and they were freaking out. Think of that.
- 1:14We're too young to understand this, but when I was coming up
- 1:18in LA, we had the the National Air System alarm system member.
- 1:23Anybody remember that? And it will go off on Friday,
- 1:26the 1st Friday of the month and you hear the siren like World
- 1:31War Two, man, it was crazy. So they're going to start it
- 1:34again in California and and so. The guys there on the team in
- 1:41Israel right now, they call, they were freaking out, dude,
- 1:44it's happening. I know you're in the middle of
- 1:46history and so it's a very sad situation.
- 1:50We also have a young lady by the name of Alisa.
- 1:53She's she's a student doing so her studies also in Israel and
- 1:58she called Mama, Mama called us and dad called me and
- 2:01everybody's freaking out. And so I knew exactly where she
- 2:05was at, knowing that I've been there to Israel several times.
- 2:09I I told her, don't freak out you and you're you're you're
- 2:12safe. This is only the the 1st 20
- 2:15miles from the southern border of Israel.
- 2:17And so I like to begin by praying and asking the Lord to
- 2:21bless our time. Father, I pray for the teen in
- 2:25Israel. I pray for not only the
- 2:27Israelis. I pray for the Palestinians.
- 2:30Father the few. The contention has been going on
- 2:33for centuries. So, Father, we ask you in the
- 2:37name of Jesus that peace be upon that nation.
- 2:40Father, you're the peacemaker, the Lord, as I see it from my
- 2:44perspective, I see a lot of things happening that this is a
- 2:49good time for the Antichrist to come in and become a peace
- 2:53broker. And then we'll see the mayhem
- 2:56that we're seeing in Ezekiel 3738.
- 2:59What we see in Revelation Chapter 13.
- 3:02Lord, we see the spectacle in the theater of the end Times is
- 3:08already live on TV. Help us to look up, be with
- 3:11this, be with us and speak to us as we thank you in Jesus name.
- 3:16Amen. Well, I think Pastor Ed and Reed
- 3:20and all the staff were allowing me to be here.
- 3:22It's wonderful. I've been a pastor for for 33
- 3:26years. I've been a Christian for 48
- 3:28years. Out of those 48 years, I've been
- 3:30serving the Lord for 47 years. It all started when I went to a
- 3:35Bible study and I love going to Bible studies.
- 3:39And then then they asked me punch punch with my nicknames.
- 3:43The punch actually was punched, but when Chips came in, I
- 3:48changed my name. Because they thought my name is
- 3:52Punch. You don't look like Eric Estrada
- 3:54with no hair. So I changed back to punch.
- 3:58But it's always been punch. And so they say punch.
- 4:01Would you like to read? And then to.
- 4:04I was so embarrassed. I so hurt.
- 4:06I didn't know how to read very well.
- 4:07I had like a fifth grade reading I had.
- 4:10I had no comprehension. I had no continuity.
- 4:13And so I told my girlfriend. Which is now my wife for 50
- 4:17years. I told my girlfriend back then.
- 4:19I said I thank you, Thank you Arigato the lamato, I told my
- 4:27girlfriend, don't ask them to ask me to read.
- 4:31It was very painful for me. And so in tears I told the Lord,
- 4:39Lord, if you teach me how to read, I'll serve you and I can
- 4:43see God. That's it.
- 4:48And within a month later I had a a drive and a desire to go back
- 4:52to school. And I went in and got my degree
- 4:55at East Lake College. I went two years, so Cal State
- 5:00and and then the Lord called me to go to Bible school.
- 5:03But I thought my wife's not going to allow that.
- 5:06She going to say no, you you do your four years and she said
- 5:09I've been praying for you. You don't like academics.
- 5:11You want to study the Bible? And so she gave me permission,
- 5:15went to Bible school only to get round and rooted.
- 5:17To know more about my faith, newfound faith.
- 5:20I was excited. And so I I I went to Bible
- 5:23school not to become a pastor. Used to be more equipped to so I
- 5:27can flourish, so I can be more cultivated, So I have roots,
- 5:30deep roots. I want to know what I believe
- 5:32because I'm in a world of people who live in a traditional,
- 5:35cultural, historical messed up church.
- 5:39And so I wanted to make sure that I have the right equipment
- 5:42to speak to people. They are religious, you
- 5:44understand, With religious people, there was a time when
- 5:48the ministry started in, and so I was speaking about Jesus being
- 5:51Jewish. And the lady came after me and
- 5:58and she came up to me with that Mad Dog face and she was kind of
- 6:03twirling her purse like this, which means like she can use it.
- 6:09So she says, I'm very upset with you, Pastor.
- 6:13Why is that? Oh, I'm misoffended.
- 6:16What did I say? And he says, well, you said that
- 6:19Jesus was Jewish. Well, he was born in, He was
- 6:24born in Bethlehem. He was raised in Nazareth, and
- 6:31he come from the Temple of the Jews.
- 6:35He comes to the tribal Juda. And so I gave her all the
- 6:41biblical historical facts. She wasn't satisfied.
- 6:45So I said, what do you think he is?
- 6:48She looked at me with a sasperated face.
- 6:51He's Latino. You laugh, but that's ignorance.
- 7:00That's culture. That is ignorance.
- 7:03So I was telling you that I needed to get grounded and
- 7:05rooted so I can not defend the faith, but believe what I'm
- 7:09going to believe. It's important to know what you
- 7:11believe in. You know why?
- 7:13Because Jesus said in this world you're going to have
- 7:15tribulations. Yes or no, The word tribulations
- 7:18is is not a a pleasant word. You look at tribulation is just
- 7:22like going, you're going, you're you're going through and I don't
- 7:25want to be, I don't want to be profane or crass.
- 7:30But some people would, because they don't have the vocabulary.
- 7:33They say things like, well, they hit the fan.
- 7:35You ever heard that expression? Oh, you hear others?
- 7:39I'm in a pile of this, and I don't want to use the profanity.
- 7:43So this morning, what I want to what I want to present to you is
- 7:47called the visitudes of life, The visitudes of life.
- 7:51You see, that's more proper, one of the visitudes of life, a
- 7:56change of circumstances or fortune.
- 7:59Typically one that is unwelcome or unpleasant.
- 8:02Let's go visit to now based on the from Saturday night service,
- 8:07based on the first service after the service.
- 8:11As I spoke to people, they were going through changes, horrific
- 8:15changes. Just from 2 weeks to this day,
- 8:18their life has been spun out. Changes, changes.
- 8:23Life is always changes. Life is always changes.
- 8:27It happens to all of us. There's not one here, except
- 8:30that it's going to go through changes.
- 8:31You think I was born bald? I had hair like Farrah Fawcett.
- 8:39Do you think I wear this stripe? They're they're for now.
- 8:46You think that changes now? Give me the next panel.
- 8:53These changes are chapters in one's life that would they would
- 8:56rather avoid but must get through.
- 8:59These are changes that happen at different times during the life
- 9:02or development of someone, especially those that result in
- 9:06conditions being worse. Your friends change.
- 9:12Oh you high school friends. You have buddies always going to
- 9:15remain BFF. No you won't.
- 9:19You're going to change. Your parents change.
- 9:23Your children change. Everything change.
- 9:27I mean, jack-in-the-box manages to sell 2 tacos for $0.99 for a
- 9:31long time. One day I walk in there because,
- 9:35you know, I don't like, I don't like those tacos.
- 9:37But that's when you're hurting, You know?
- 9:38You ain't got no money. I walk in, Let me have two
- 9:41tacos. That'll be 175.
- 9:44What Burritos. That when you can't, you don't
- 9:49have enough money for the Chileveda Burritos.
- 9:51What kind of salvaritos you ordered?
- 9:53What kind of, what kind of burritos?
- 9:55Bean and cheese. They're only one 150 in LAA.
- 10:01Bean and cheese burrito right now is $11.00.
- 10:06So you might as well get your own can and get your own
- 10:08tortilla. And that's it.
- 10:11My point is everything changes. Now I'm.
- 10:14I'm out to show you my family. Right now.
- 10:16I'm not to show up my family, but just as an example, give me,
- 10:19give me the family, the crazy family.
- 10:21See, we put fun in this. Functional.
- 10:26Now, the reason I show this picture, by the way, this is my
- 10:29oxygen right here. See, this is my oxygen.
- 10:32I have a model. I have a mantra.
- 10:34I have a model. You know God loves me that I
- 10:39know. For the Bible tells me so,
- 10:41right? God loves me.
- 10:42You may not, but God does. God loves me.
- 10:45Here's another fact and truth. My wife loves me out.
- 10:53I can make mistakes. I get stupidities.
- 10:55And she was like, you're crazy, but I love you.
- 10:58I know that I have 5 grown children.
- 11:02They love me. And now we added two of them.
- 11:05Look at that. They, the grandchildren.
- 11:08They love Grandpa. The one on the left, Luna.
- 11:13She does not speak English. She speaks nothing but Spanish
- 11:16by choice. The parents want to take and.
- 11:20I have a conversation, Grandpa. Buenos Dias, Buenos Dias.
- 11:25Beautiful. But the reason I'm showing this
- 11:27because this was taken October of last year.
- 11:31This is a Christmas picture. So we're meeting again next
- 11:34week, the whole family. But the reason I'm showing this
- 11:36picture because everyone in that picture for the exception of the
- 11:40children, everyone of them had gone through a change and they
- 11:45have to adapt to those chains. And here's what the problem that
- 11:49I see from a perspective from a Christian, you know, living in
- 11:53the horizontal life. Meaning I don't live in the
- 11:55church. I live outside the church.
- 11:57And what I have observed is that everybody's going to go to a
- 12:02visit to, if not, you're going through one right now.
- 12:06But here's the problem. When something goes wrong in
- 12:11your life, you have to resort to something that's inside of you.
- 12:17Someone said that life is like a tea bag.
- 12:20We don't know what we're made of until we hit hot water.
- 12:25And when they hit. When you hit hot water, you
- 12:27resort to your own resources. Emotional.
- 12:32Listen to what Jesus said. Jesus said this is before he
- 12:37died. Dead man talking before he died.
- 12:41Hours before he died, he says. Peace I give unto you.
- 12:46Right. And then he qualified that
- 12:49peace, didn't he? He says, unlike the world.
- 12:52Do I give you peace? He doesn't explain what is the
- 12:55peace of the world, but I can give you the description of the
- 12:57peace of the world. The peace that described the
- 13:00world is the absence of conflict.
- 13:03In our history of humanity, man has always been in conflict.
- 13:08Look at now. We're in conflict right now in
- 13:10part of the globe. We're in conflict in our
- 13:13community. We're in conflict in our own
- 13:15country. We're in conflict in our own
- 13:17city. We're in conflict in our own
- 13:19neighborhood. We're in conflict in our own
- 13:22family. Conflict will always be there.
- 13:24So what kind of peace is he speaking about?
- 13:27Ah, that's why you got to read the whole Bible and the book of
- 13:32Philippians, Paul, he's writing from prison and he writes in
- 13:35Philippians. He says don't worry about
- 13:37anything. Rejoice, I say again.
- 13:39Rejoice, he says. Pray about, he says.
- 13:43Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything.
- 13:46Let your prayers, your requests, your your supplications, your
- 13:51Thanksgiving. Let me known unto God.
- 13:53Here we go, I ready. Here you go.
- 13:55There you go. And the peace of God that passes
- 13:59all say it loud understanding. What does that mean?
- 14:05That you and I don't have the mental wherewithal, the capacity
- 14:09to understand how that works. I don't care how it works.
- 14:14If I get in the car and I turn it on, I don't care how it
- 14:18works. Just get me there.
- 14:22Or you got to explain how it works.
- 14:24I don't know. All I know is I turn on the car
- 14:26and this combustion goes on in electricity and there's gas and
- 14:30there's Pistons. I don't know how, but I get
- 14:34there. So Paul says.
- 14:37And the peace of God that passes all understanding.
- 14:40Here we go. Will guard your what?
- 14:43Your mind's in your heart. What's the first thing that goes
- 14:47through your mind? Oh, I already said it.
- 14:50I already gave it away. What's the first thing that you
- 14:53encounter when someone says to someone I don't love you
- 14:57anymore. I found someone else.
- 15:00I'm sorry. And what do you say?
- 15:03Oh wow, my liver hurts. Oh wow, My knee cap.
- 15:09Oh no. What do you say?
- 15:12What? What?
- 15:16What? You understand?
- 15:19Jesus said joy. This is Jesus about to die.
- 15:24He was joy. Christian, don't let anyone take
- 15:28your joy away from you. Why?
- 15:32Because joy is the strength of the Lord.
- 15:37One more, a new commandment. Wow.
- 15:40Another commandment. We have a lot of commandments.
- 15:42Now. Which one?
- 15:44What other commandment? A new commandment.
- 15:46I give unto you that you love one another as I have loved you
- 15:49as my father has loved me. So you ought to love one another
- 15:52by this all of Denver. No Colorado will know that you
- 15:57are Christians by your love. Wow.
- 16:01So what happens if you don't have faith, you don't have love,
- 16:06you don't have joy, you don't have peace, you don't have the
- 16:08assurance of God. You're not in connection with
- 16:10God. What happens exactly what
- 16:13happens. People go through changes.
- 16:15They go through crisis, and then they resort to what they think
- 16:19they know. But they have no core values.
- 16:21They have. They have no resources.
- 16:24You know what the book of Hebrews, I think it's called the
- 16:26apostle. But the book of Hebrews says
- 16:28that that the hope for the Christian is the anchor for the
- 16:33soul. That was an anchor.
- 16:37An anchor is a nautical weight. That's a hook that holds on the
- 16:42ship from drifting away in the midst of turbulence and waters.
- 16:47And the anchor hold that ship. And and the Bible says that
- 16:51help. Is an anchor for our souls.
- 16:56Then when you have turbulence, when you're going through life
- 16:59and madness, you have no control.
- 17:01Who likes changes? Who like changes?
- 17:04I don't like changes. None at all.
- 17:07None at all. Because life changing it gives
- 17:10you It's painful, especially uninvited changes.
- 17:16Unwanted changes, but they'll come.
- 17:19Who likes change? Change is even more difficult
- 17:22when it's imposed on you suddenly or without approval in
- 17:26California. That's where I'm from.
- 17:28Changes that happen in California, changes that I don't
- 17:32feel should change me. But the government, the culture,
- 17:37Hollywood, the beautiful people, the Berkeley people, they want
- 17:42to change me. So they're foisting.
- 17:46They're change upon me. They're projecting their change
- 17:49upon me. They're trying to tell me that I
- 17:52need to accept this change, that in California we have 51
- 17:57genders. I mean, know what I'm talking
- 18:00about? Raise your hand if you raise
- 18:02your hand high. So I'm not lying.
- 18:05I am considered a social terrorist in California.
- 18:11Why? Jesus said marriage is between a
- 18:18man and a woman. That's my crime.
- 18:23That's my crime. So, so this changes.
- 18:27They want to force you and those changes you need to you need to
- 18:31be prepared because because you need to prepare how to deal with
- 18:35these things. But change can be both good or
- 18:38harmful depending how one reacts or responds to the change.
- 18:43Who likes change? I I don't like it.
- 18:46You get married, You get married.
- 18:49Changes when I got married. Changes when I became a father.
- 18:55Changes when I turn 50. Changes when I turn 60.
- 18:59Big chances when I turn 70. Major colossal changes.
- 19:05Big time. And if you don't adapt to those
- 19:08changes. With with the wherewithal that
- 19:11comes from the from the strength of God, the hope of God, the
- 19:15faith in God, the love of God, the joy with God.
- 19:19And when you don't have those resources, you are going to
- 19:22collapse, like many people collapse and then trying to
- 19:25medicate yourself. That's why we hit the pipe,
- 19:28That's why we drink a lot. That's why we take overt
- 19:30medication. If you need medication, you need
- 19:33medication. I take medication, but I don't
- 19:35take medication to medicate myself to get away from the
- 19:38crisis. That's escapism, and it's going
- 19:41to come back once you run out of your prescription.
- 19:44And you have to understand that you need to adapt to the
- 19:49changes. And that happens to many people,
- 19:53many, many people. It's an extreme, uninvited,
- 19:58unwanted change, and it's always a challenge.
- 20:00It's very painful. Some people have this phobia.
- 20:04I can't pronounce it, but I'll try.
- 20:08An extreme version of this fear of changes, known as
- 20:11metathesiophobia. There you go.
- 20:14Symptoms of metathesiophobia include increased self doubt,
- 20:20lack of self esteem, panic attacks, social anxiety,
- 20:24depression, and an ability to adapt to new situations.
- 20:30So if we have the truth, let me let me let me play a game with
- 20:33you. You don't have to answer.
- 20:35It's rhetorical. If we have truth, what's the
- 20:39opposite of truth? Lie.
- 20:42If we have hope, was the opposite of hope.
- 20:46Despair. What is the the opposite of
- 20:49peace? A lot of words, Chaos, distress.
- 20:55Wigged out, tripped out. What's the opposite of love?
- 21:02Indifference. Indifference.
- 21:05What is indifference? Look it up.
- 21:07It's an ugly word. Indifference.
- 21:11Mexicans have this. Mexico.
- 21:13Que Paso Bush. That's it.
- 21:21What happened? Bush.
- 21:23How many know what I'm talking about?
- 21:26Raise your hand Right. What?
- 21:27What does that mean? It means a lot, but they're
- 21:32saying to you in their nonverbal language, I don't know.
- 21:38I don't know figure. I don't know how to figure it
- 21:39out. And they don't know how to say
- 21:42I'm going to the visitors of life, What happened?
- 21:45Que Paso, what a sadness. They don't have faith, they
- 21:53don't have love, They don't have hope, They don't have peace,
- 21:55They don't have the truth. What is the opposite of
- 22:00assurance? Uncertainty.
- 22:03What is the opposite of purpose? Meaningless.
- 22:08Paul calls it a ship without a rudder.
- 22:12That's a wonderful analogy that he gives.
- 22:14It's it's a maritime term. A ship without a mass and
- 22:18without a rudder, left at sea, and you are now at the whim of
- 22:23the currents, the sea and the turbulence.
- 22:25And where you going? I don't know, boss.
- 22:30And therein lies the frustration.
- 22:32Therein lies the lack of communication.
- 22:34Therein lies when you say to yourself, I wish I can talk to
- 22:37someone about my feelings and my emotions.
- 22:44Sometimes my wife throws at me. I wish that's a hint that I
- 22:48should be doing that. Go.
- 22:48No, I can't do that because I don't know your heart.
- 22:50I don't know your mind. I'm your husband.
- 22:52I don't live inside of you. You're a woman.
- 22:54You're a boy harmonic on me. I don't know you, and you don't
- 22:59know me either. So we need to talk and talk to
- 23:01our master. Let us both talk to God.
- 23:03And then when God talks to us, He'll give us the answer.
- 23:06Then you and I can speak in the horizontal.
- 23:08In the meantime, we got to live like a triangle.
- 23:10What's a triangle? A triangle is like is the base
- 23:14is my wife and I, and the triangle is from when my wife
- 23:18speaks to God and I speak to God and we form that triangle.
- 23:22And when we both communicate with God, you see that triangle
- 23:26has a foundation. And we communicate 50 years,
- 23:31man, give me credit. 50 years with the same chick in 50 years
- 23:35with the same guy. How does that work?
- 23:39How can you, how can you live with that?
- 23:40How can you live like that? Oh no, no.
- 23:43Because we we, we both get our instructions from the Lord Jesus
- 23:46Christ. We have, we still have truth.
- 23:49We have hope. We have we have love, we have
- 23:51peace. We have assurance, we have
- 23:53purpose, and then we have faith. What's the opposite of faith?
- 23:57People say faithless? No, the opposite of faith is
- 23:59again, indifference. So when it hits, listen, this is
- 24:06story. It's called the rich young
- 24:08ruler. I'll give you a reference.
- 24:10You find it in the book of Mark. You find it in the book of Luke
- 24:13and Matthew. He's a rich, young man.
- 24:16He has everything you and I need.
- 24:18He has money. He's young.
- 24:20And he he's a shot caller, but he's a magistrate.
- 24:24He's a ruler. Meaning he knows the Bible and
- 24:27and the Bible says in the book of Mark there, if you take your
- 24:30notes, Mark chapter 10. There in Mark chapter 10, verse
- 24:3417, it says that a young man ran up to Jesus and he kneel before
- 24:41him. Good master, what must I do to
- 24:44inherit eternal life? What must I do?
- 24:49He says you have the commandments and Jesus gave him
- 24:54the 6th, the 78th, the 9th and the 5th commandment.
- 24:58And the young man says, as a young man I have lived all those
- 25:02commandments, which is a lie. The 10 commandments are there to
- 25:07let us know that we cannot fulfill them and they're in
- 25:10life. Another problem in my community
- 25:13as I trying to explain to people that need Jesus, they'll bring
- 25:16up the tradition, the rituals and the ceremonies.
- 25:19They say things like, you know, I did my first communion.
- 25:23Is there a second one? No, I don't know.
- 25:25I don't think so. I did my confirmation.
- 25:29That's it. I fulfill my duty.
- 25:31I was baptized a little kid. So thereby, therefore you are
- 25:35now a Christian. Yes.
- 25:37So you did everything to get to heaven?
- 25:39Yes. So why did Jesus die for if you
- 25:44already, if you're. If you hooked up to heaven, why
- 25:46would God have to die so brutally on Good Friday?
- 25:50And I don't know. Hey, I don't know.
- 25:51But but I I'm safe already. But give me another reason why
- 25:55you think you're safe. Well, the, the 10 Commandments,
- 25:59eh? What about 10 commandments?
- 26:01Well, I've done them all. He's a liar.
- 26:07The 10 Commandments and the whole law.
- 26:09When you read the whole law. Guilty.
- 26:12Guilty. Guilty.
- 26:14Guilty. Guilty.
- 26:15Why? They're too hard.
- 26:19I have a I have a heart this contrary to the word of God.
- 26:23So Jesus was giving that young man an opportunity and out he
- 26:27said, oh, I've done all those. And Jesus said you like one
- 26:31thing. This is Jesus you're asking me.
- 26:37You're going through a crisis. You're going through a you're
- 26:39going through, you're going through through a visit to the
- 26:42life. You you are concerned about your
- 26:44eternity. You're rich, you're wealthy, but
- 26:46they get to you concerned about eternity.
- 26:49And you want to know what you need to do.
- 26:51You don't need to do anything. But I tell you what.
- 26:52If you ask my opinion, if I'm God, you call me God.
- 26:55This is what you got to do. Yep.
- 26:56You you're missing one thing. Go sell your possessions.
- 27:00Give the proceeds to the poor and you come and follow me.
- 27:06You know what the Bible says that then when the young man
- 27:09heard that he was sad and went away from Jesus.
- 27:14Very sorrowful. Now you we don't see Jesus
- 27:18saying, oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, Oh no, I love you.
- 27:21I love you. That's what Mark says that he
- 27:24did. Jesus loved him.
- 27:26He beheld him and loved the young man.
- 27:28But Jesus didn't go after this man and said, oh, you don't,
- 27:31never mind that. That's too rush.
- 27:33That's too harsh. I'm sorry.
- 27:35Oh, you can sell the property and keep it to yourself and your
- 27:38family and come and follow me. No, no, no, Jesus, let him go.
- 27:45Wow. And I have to learn that because
- 27:49there are people in my community that they throw religion at you,
- 27:52that throw tradition at you, that throw rituals and ceremony.
- 27:56They speak about things that make no sense.
- 28:01How come you don't have holy water here?
- 28:04I I, I don't know who's going to make it holy.
- 28:08I'm not trying to be funny, you know.
- 28:11You know when people, people die, I'm, I guess when when you
- 28:14die, they go up to where do they go.
- 28:17So bus station in heaven, what is it called?
- 28:20Purgatory. I had a student of a college to
- 28:30that traditional religion. It comes very fancy Wintip shoes
- 28:35and little Chino pants. And he comes and says, a pastor,
- 28:40tell me about purgatory. I said I have absolutely nothing
- 28:46to tell about purgatory. So you don't believe in it?
- 28:49No, it doesn't matter if I believe it or not.
- 28:51It's not in the Bible. So I took him to chapter 16 of
- 28:55Luke, where two men died. The poor man in Richmond died.
- 28:58If I said one was carried into heaven and I was not carried to
- 29:01heaven, they both ended in eternity.
- 29:03By the way, we all have eternal life.
- 29:05It's just but destination. And so I share that with them.
- 29:09I said no, absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
- 29:14That's biblical, he said. If we don't go to some bus
- 29:17station up there and then someone starts praying for you
- 29:20to bring you out, where did you get that from?
- 29:23And he started quoting books from the 1600.
- 29:25You know, according to Father Joe Pelota, this, this and that,
- 29:29this and that. You're bringing that to me.
- 29:34I mean this to you. I said The thief on the cross,
- 29:39The thief on the cross. I don't understand that man to
- 29:43this day until I went to Ava hospital Long Beach, but I give
- 29:49him the scripture with where the thief on the cross and
- 29:53knucklehead 187 PC murder, he said.
- 29:57Jesus Lord, when you get to your Kingdom, Remember Me?
- 30:02And Jesus said to the thief today you were with me in
- 30:06paradise but on you wait there you're going to go to a weigh
- 30:10station. Is that what he said?
- 30:15No. And I and I shared that with the
- 30:18young man educated. And he says, well, you know, you
- 30:24have your reading, I have my reading, You're depending of a
- 30:28historical book from the 1600 compared to the eternal word of
- 30:31God. And he goes, yeah, that's why I
- 30:34believe. Now I didn't say anything, but
- 30:38in my heart I said, your Mama go, Why what?
- 30:44Why? Why should I be trying to
- 30:46convince this individual who's stuck in his academic and his
- 30:50culture stuck with it? He's like this young man that I
- 30:52just showed you. And there's another lady and I
- 30:56and I, I, I, I put him like I just opposed him.
- 30:58Before you there's another lady. She's called a Samaritan woman
- 31:03on Friday. On Saturday night, I I call her
- 31:06the Elizabeth Taylor of the New Testament.
- 31:09And I apologize to Miss Elizabeth Taylor State.
- 31:12I apologize personally, that's not cool.
- 31:15But you know the incident, Taylor, if you don't know, she's
- 31:17an actress from the 50s and 60s and she was married like around
- 31:208-9 times I think. So this is a lady here in John
- 31:25chapter 4. She is a Samaritan woman.
- 31:29The Bible says that Jesus, how was going from Judea, which is
- 31:32by Jerusalem, is going back home to Galilee.
- 31:35So he's going, She's going South and north now.
- 31:40The fastest route to go from Judea to Galilee will be this
- 31:46way straight line. But right here it's a city, a
- 31:50region called Samaria. And Samaria is full of religious
- 31:54mongrels. The Jews have no dealings with
- 31:59the Samaritans. So a religious Jew, well, or
- 32:04religious you will will avoid them by going the long way out
- 32:08there because they didn't want to be contaminated by these half
- 32:11dogs and mongrels. The story goes like this.
- 32:16When the Assyrian empire came to destroy the nation of Israel,
- 32:22the nation of Israel was divided.
- 32:23We have the Northern Kingdom and the Southern Kingdom.
- 32:27Each Kingdom has a capital, the northern Kingdom 10 tribes.
- 32:31The capital was Samaria. The the the southern Kingdom was
- 32:37the capital in Jerusalem. So Sanaquirim he is the emperor
- 32:43of this ancient empire. They came in and pulverized the
- 32:4810 tribes and destroyed them and took him back and they were
- 32:54never to be found again. So Samaria was demolished.
- 32:58So the Assyrians brought foreign people to occupy the land
- 33:03because still agriculturally so they brought all kinds of non
- 33:07Jewish people there. But the people begin to
- 33:10complain. They go, oh man, there's some
- 33:11weird stuff going in here, man, There's some Hibijibi going on
- 33:14in here. So Sinatra thought he had a
- 33:18great idea. Let me send some some priests
- 33:20from the Jewish people and tell the priests to teach him about
- 33:23about Jehovah God. So he sends priests to a bunch
- 33:27of pagans. In time, those pagans went back
- 33:30to their gods and they had a way of Jewish ways, but they were
- 33:36worshipping their gods by the time Nehemiah gets to Jerusalem.
- 33:40They want to work with him. And Nehemiah says we don't want
- 33:43nothing to do with you. And when Ezra came up, Ezra also
- 33:47spotted them and goes, Nah, you guys look like Jews and act like
- 33:51Jews. But no, we don't want you
- 33:52involved. So that division, race,
- 33:58linguistic foods, diet, politics, geographical fighting,
- 34:07there was a wall of division. They hated each other with a
- 34:11passion. But the Bible says that Jesus
- 34:15wanted to go to Samaria. So Jesus comes to this region
- 34:20called Siccar and he sits by the well.
- 34:23A very famous well was well that was built by Jacob and there the
- 34:28Bible says on the 6th hour, which is 12:00.
- 34:31Now you may not understand this, but in California, when I left
- 34:34it was 101 degrees in California.
- 34:38Then I come here and it's 44 degrees.
- 34:41What's up with that 44 degrees? That's freezing, man.
- 34:48But in Israel, which I've been there, in the area, Samaria, by
- 34:51the way, when it's hot, it's not only hot, but the breeze is.
- 34:56It's like in the oven. So at 12:00, Jesus sitting there
- 35:01and here comes the Samaritan woman.
- 35:04She's not looking for eternal life.
- 35:06She lives in shame. She lives in sorrow.
- 35:08She lives in confusion. Listen, she's been married five
- 35:11times already. I'll tell you what happened.
- 35:13Now, anybody who got married five times, something's wrong
- 35:15with that person. I mean, you can get married one
- 35:18time. You messed up second time.
- 35:20OK, second time. Now you're born again.
- 35:22Now third time, OK, the third of the charmer.
- 35:25But if you tell me, you know, this is my sixth time, I'm
- 35:27getting married, I have to ask this pastor what happened on the
- 35:30other five. I can't believe that all five
- 35:34are weird. I think you're weird.
- 35:37And that's usually the case. So she's living in shame.
- 35:41She's shocking up. And I keep saying shocking up.
- 35:43Forgive me. Cohabitating sounds much
- 35:47frittier, right? I'm not shaking up pastor.
- 35:50I'm cohabitating. Oh, so you're not committing
- 35:57adultery fornication, right? It's you and Mrs. Jones, right?
- 36:02Me and Mrs. Jones. We've got a good thing going on.
- 36:04We meet at the same cafe at the same time, you know, And we both
- 36:08know it's wrong. But, oh, we keep on meeting at
- 36:10the donut shop. Oh, and me and Mrs. Jones.
- 36:14That sounds so romantic. They're all jacked up.
- 36:19It doesn't work. They're in a world of hurt.
- 36:22The ficituse of life This woman sees.
- 36:25Jesus and Jesus. Give me give me some water.
- 36:28And she says up to him. He goes, how can you, being a
- 36:31Jew, speak to a woman. And John said that Jews and
- 36:35Samaritans do not hang around together.
- 36:38And she says that if you knew who is asking for water, he will
- 36:41give you living water. And so he Jesus speaking
- 36:46spiritual realm and she's still speaking in the physical realm.
- 36:49Well, how are you going to get water if you don't have anything
- 36:51to carry? No, no, no, the kind of water
- 36:55that I'll give you, he said. That kind of water they'll give
- 36:58you is living water. And once you drink of it, you
- 37:00have no need to come to this well, for I will give you living
- 37:03water that will make your heart flow rivers or flowing rivers of
- 37:08eternity flowing on you. You see, the other man was
- 37:13asking for eternity, and Jesus was telling I can give you a
- 37:17gift. And she said, are you greater
- 37:22than our father Jacob? And the answer is, is loud.
- 37:26Jesus could have said absolutely Jacob.
- 37:31Jacob is Jacob is Jacob. I'm God.
- 37:34He talking about that. But he didn't say anything.
- 37:38And she says go call your husband.
- 37:42Here's what the road meets the road.
- 37:45She could have lied like a lot of you are like, well, you know
- 37:47I'm OK. I'm not.
- 37:48I don't need no, I'm not going to change.
- 37:50I don't need Jesus. You know, Jesus is for people
- 37:53who are crutch. And I go, no, Jesus, not just
- 37:55the crutch Jesus, the whole hospital Jesus, the whole er.
- 37:58Jesus is everything I a crutch. Who wants a crutch?
- 38:02And so no. So go get your husband.
- 38:04She goes, I don't have a husband.
- 38:08And Jesus said, you're right. He says you've had five husbands
- 38:15and the one you live with right now, you're shaking up with him.
- 38:21I perceive your prophet, he said you Jews think we have to
- 38:25worship in Jerusalem out there, but my father's worship in this
- 38:28mountain, mountain Garrison. And Jesus shushers, he said, you
- 38:33don't even know what you worship for.
- 38:35Salvation is of the Jews, but the day is coming, and now is
- 38:39where he who wants to worship God must worship God.
- 38:42Not in a building, not in a mountain, not in the temple, not
- 38:45in this mountain, not in Jerusalem.
- 38:47But he who worships God. Because God is spirit, he who
- 38:50worships God must imperative must worship God in spirit and
- 38:56in truth. By that time they were
- 39:00interrupted. The disciples came with lunch
- 39:04and they saw a cheeks and stuck into the woman.
- 39:07By then we can infer in the reading that that Jesus
- 39:10liberated the woman and the woman left full of joy and went
- 39:15and told all her friends who are her friends, nothing but men, no
- 39:21women. And the Bible said that Jesus
- 39:25stood in Samaria for two days, eating, talking in fellowship.
- 39:31Salvation went to the Samaritus. At the conclusion of the
- 39:35narrative, the Bible says that the Jewish man told the Jewish
- 39:39woman we believe in him, not because you told us, because
- 39:43we've seen him and we heard him and now we know that he is the
- 39:47Messiah and they found salvation.
- 39:51Changes came about. If you don't adapt to the
- 39:54changes, it's going to hit you. You have to accommodate these
- 39:58changes. Failure to change.
- 40:03It's called the adapting. I came to this town in this city
- 40:11in Denver, and this city too. I I couldn't find Blockbuster.
- 40:18Remember Blockbuster? This is what happened to them.
- 40:24The once powerful financial giant once bought for 8.4
- 40:28billion by Viacom 5 for bankruptcy and it was brought
- 40:32out for a mere 2200 and $30 million in cash out of
- 40:36bankruptcy courts. What happened?
- 40:39Blockbuster adamantly simply refused to change.
- 40:43The handwriting was on the wall. A diminutive, unknown company
- 40:48known as Netflix was coming upon the scene.
- 40:51The mega chain executives A Blockbuster.
- 40:54They scoff and they promised to crush the up and coming
- 40:57competitor. As the saying goes, the rest is
- 41:00history. Netflix 1.
- 41:04Eastman Kodak, Have you ever had your get your film developed?
- 41:09Dell computers, Motorola Borders Bookstore, Toys-R-Us, Xerox,
- 41:14BlackBerry phones, Polaroid cameras, Myspace, Nokia, Atari,
- 41:18Bath and Beyond. What happened to them?
- 41:21They did not see the change that was coming and they failed.
- 41:27I closed with this. My buddy and I, we're in high
- 41:32school. We're 1969.
- 41:35Like I said, we change. He he's weird.
- 41:37He changed. So we both seniors in high
- 41:42school, summer 69. The war in Vietnam is still
- 41:45raging. And we both decided you know
- 41:47what, let's join the Marine Corps and we go buddy, buddy.
- 41:50OK, buddy, buddy. And we were promised that we
- 41:53will go through boot camp together.
- 41:55We will go through through rifle range together.
- 42:01They will go through infantry training together, we will go
- 42:03through jungle training, we will go through survival training.
- 42:06And then after all that, then we'll be separated.
- 42:10So we went to boot camp and boot camp, any boot camp, they trying
- 42:15to basically brainwash you. It's called indoctrination
- 42:20because they have to an 18 year old boy or an 18 year old young
- 42:24lady and they have to transform in 13 to 1516 weeks.
- 42:29You need to go through a transformational situation where
- 42:32you actually have the capacity, the ability and the willingness
- 42:35to shoot somebody to defend and kill and eliminate and kill
- 42:38someone else. You have to do that.
- 42:41So they have that the training and it's harsh physical, mental
- 42:45and and so it's strenuous. The first week is the death
- 42:49week, so we were going to the obstacle course.
- 42:53This is the third week. By that time we lost some
- 42:55pounds. We're looking good.
- 42:57We're good. And then he told me 0300 in the
- 43:02in the toilet because that's the only time we can talk.
- 43:05As he was sitting in one in one commode, I was in the other one
- 43:08just to talk softly. And he goes, I'm going to go 8
- 43:13crazy tomorrow. What do you mean?
- 43:15I want to quit. I was don't quit, man.
- 43:19Don't quit. We can hang this man.
- 43:22Don't quit, Okay. I won't.
- 43:24Well, we went to the obstacle course and he said I can't do
- 43:28it. And the D I's came upon him and
- 43:31I can't do it. And he just ranked out and they
- 43:36took him away in such horrible situation.
- 43:40You see, there's an ugly acronym.
- 43:46It's an ugly acronym. It's called FTA.
- 43:49That's an acronym in the Marine Corps.
- 43:51FDA means failure to adapt. It happens in life.
- 43:59You're single right now. You're single and you go and you
- 44:02meet somebody. Then we're going to get married
- 44:04and you think that that person is going to accomplish all your
- 44:08dreams. You're crazy, Be a nightmare.
- 44:13So you get married. And then he does weird things,
- 44:17like, I didn't know you did that, I know you did that.
- 44:23When I got married, I would leave my tshirts and my wife
- 44:28will wash them and then she'll throw them in the drawer, throw
- 44:32them. And I said, tshirts wrinkle.
- 44:36All the undergarments are wrinkle and tshirt and wrinkle.
- 44:39And I said, why don't you iron them?
- 44:48Hey, wait, why don't you iron them?
- 44:54Why? Nobody's going to see them.
- 44:57And that's it. My Mama ironed them then she
- 45:05told me. But then have Mama wash it for
- 45:07you. Okay.
- 45:10I can say hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, Okay, adapt.
- 45:20Now don't get offended. I love white rice now, but she's
- 45:26Puerto Rican. She likes white rice.
- 45:28The last thing I want to do when I came from Vietnam Eat white
- 45:30rice. We get married and she makes
- 45:34white rice. Don't you know how to make
- 45:35Spanish rice? No visitors of life now.
- 45:43I can tell you now adapting a lot of white rice with bananas
- 45:47and black meat, low enchilada on the side, jalapeno on the side.
- 45:53Fine, adapt, but failure to adapt.
- 45:58Now you here, let me give you my let me give you my intentions
- 46:03and I don't want this to be fabricated.
- 46:04I don't want you to do this. But see, it happened to me and I
- 46:09went for it and Saturday and I did it in the first service.
- 46:14What happened to me is that I was sitting in the third row.
- 46:17I was full of mescaline. Mescaline.
- 46:18If you don't know what mescaline, don't worry about it.
- 46:22But I was. I was my veins with with
- 46:25soaring, with with tequila. Johnny Walker.
- 46:29I'm, I'm bilingual. I'm by drinker too.
- 46:31Johnny Walker. And was incredible.
- 46:37I mean I'm out. I'm going to a concert.
- 46:39Told me it was a concert. It was a rock concert, but it
- 46:41was a Christian concert. So I went, I started mad dogging
- 46:46and then the pastor starts speaking about life and the
- 46:48visitors of life in a different way, where I understood him.
- 46:52And I said my life is a place where stinks.
- 46:55I can't do anything. He says listen to your life
- 46:57stinks. Like, how do you know that?
- 47:00And he says, if you want Jesus, I want you to get up and come
- 47:04down. There were 2000 kids.
- 47:06I'm only 24 years old. I'm a veteran.
- 47:12I'm doing drugs and selling drugs.
- 47:14I couldn't get a job because I'm Vietnam veteran so I didn't want
- 47:18to get up. But I got up.
- 47:22Unbelievable. It was 6 steps.
- 47:26When people when they saw me afterwards they said pod, you're
- 47:29not drinking. Are you going to the 12 steps?
- 47:31No, I only took six. I need to take 1212 is good, 12
- 47:37is good. But I only took six for me.
- 47:40And then there were two surfer girls that got saved too.
- 47:43Only two surfer girls and myself.
- 47:45No homeboy and two surfer girls. And I went and nothing happened.
- 47:50OK, So OK, I did it. Now what?
- 47:52Now what? What?
- 47:54What? What do I do?
- 47:54I don't know. They called me.
- 47:56Now your brother, you're this and that.
- 47:57OK, OK. I want to get out of there, man.
- 48:00As soon as I left the church with my girlfriend, she dropped
- 48:03me off in my car. I went in my car, her rolled me
- 48:06a big joint and I went to the park and then Sunday rolled
- 48:11over. The next Sunday rolled over.
- 48:13My my girlfriend called me. Are you going to pick me up the
- 48:15church? Go heck no.
- 48:17I already went to church. I already did the whole ritual.
- 48:20Nothing happened. Get out and I'm not going.
- 48:22So I went to Griffith Park and went to a, what they call a drum
- 48:26circle. I was playing.
- 48:30And then I had a moment. It's called the awakening of
- 48:33judicial reasoning. What does that mean?
- 48:36Where now you start thinking like you were not thinking
- 48:39before? And I start saying, why am I
- 48:41hanging around with toothless people?
- 48:44Why am I hanging around with all these people?
- 48:46There are losers. I left and I ran and went to my
- 48:50Volkswagen, put my drums away. I said I need to mellow out.
- 48:53And I took me a joint that's that's marijuana.
- 48:55And I smoked the joint and it got me jittery and go, oh man,
- 48:58this messed up. I'm getting my Acapulco gold.
- 49:01And I went and I got it, smoked it up and then I heard his voice
- 49:04throw the weed away. I can't be God because God would
- 49:07not call it weed. But I heard it throw the weed
- 49:11away. So I flicked it.
- 49:16All of it. All of it.
- 49:22Wow. I'm driving in the fight
- 49:25freeway. But the LA Zoo.
- 49:26I reached over get my little my little stash and I throw it in
- 49:31the freeway. Am I?
- 49:32What am I doing? I don't know.
- 49:37I get home. My mom is watering the lawn and
- 49:40I ran to her like slow motion and in Spanish.
- 49:43I begin to cry and yell in her bosom.
- 49:46I'm sorry, Mama. Mamita Los cinto mamita
- 49:51perdonna. And so loud that she's calling
- 49:56you right now. Mama called me.
- 50:03And so the neighbors all came out because I was making a scene
- 50:08and my Mama didn't know what's going on.
- 50:10So I see my mom mouthing to the neighbors.
- 50:12Vietnam, Vietnam. There was no, I'm a non combat
- 50:18veteran and she didn't know. I didn't know.
- 50:23But they have given me a little Bible of not even the Bible,
- 50:26just the book of John. That's why in night church you
- 50:29don't get the you don't get the book of John, you get the whole
- 50:31Bible. So they gave me the book of
- 50:33John. I start reading it and that was
- 50:36the beginning of my journey. Now the reason I made that walk,
- 50:43because I know that no one made me, I wasn't forced to.
- 50:47There was something inside of me that told me yeah, and I went up
- 50:53and I did, according to the prescription of Jesus.
- 50:56He said, if you confess me before men, I will confess you
- 51:01before my father. But if you deny me before men, I
- 51:05too will deny you in the presence of my father and the
- 51:07angels. But with the heart 1 beliefs and
- 51:10with the mouth we confess. See, if you're married, you tell
- 51:16someone you know. Do you love me?
- 51:28Do you love me? Do you understand?
- 51:35There's a scene. And Fiddler on the roof.
- 51:38Tivia the milkman. They've gone to the Visitors of
- 51:41Life. All their children are getting
- 51:42married. They're they're going through a
- 51:44different episode. Finally they're alone.
- 51:47Golda, the wife and and TV, the Milkman, the Fiddler on the
- 51:53Roof, the actor. He says, Golda, do you love me
- 52:01and Golda? I'll give you 5 kids already.
- 52:08Golda, do you love me? I cook for you.
- 52:12I wash your clothes, I milk the cows, Miley says.
- 52:20Golda, do you love me? That's when Golda breaks down.
- 52:28You go, Tilvie. I love you.
- 52:33I love you too. And they hug so tenderly.
- 52:38What am I trying to say to you that you can say, well, you
- 52:41know, God knows my heart. He knows, No, no, no, no.
- 52:46You have to verbalize that. So I'm going to ask Ian to come
- 52:50up here, do a worship song. It's my intentions.
- 52:54I'm going to ask you in a moment.
- 52:55We all stand. And as he sings this song, if
- 52:58you want to receive Christ, so perhaps you grew up in a
- 53:01Christian home and but you're not a Christian and perhaps you
- 53:05were a Christian somewhere along the line.
- 53:07The visitors of life are too hard for you.
- 53:09And you said, I don't want to do anything when you walked away.
- 53:12But for some reason you're back again.
- 53:15Then come and rededicate your life.
- 53:17We'll pray for you. And if you were going through a
- 53:19situation that is very critical, you can come up to not to
- 53:23receive the Lord, but to be prayed for.
- 53:25And then when, when when you are dismissed, you don't have to go
- 53:29in touch it. I just came to rededicate my
- 53:30life. But if you never received the
- 53:33Lord Jesus Christ, here's the opportunity.
- 53:35You can be like the young man who walked away sorrowful or you
- 53:39can be You can be like this woman there was loose as a goose
- 53:44and yet the Lord saved her. The grace of God.
- 53:46This all stand. Thank you for your time.
- 53:49Thank you so kindly. If you're able to stand, that is
- 53:52OK. As a citrogenarian, I
- 53:54understand. If you're not able to stand, OK.
- 53:59But as Ian sings this song, if you want to receive the Lord,
- 54:03I'm going to ask you to get up from your seat.
- 54:07Come and meet me here and we'll pray for you.
- 54:09Whoever you are. Your boyfriend don't want to
- 54:11come. Ignore him.
- 54:13God bless you, brother. Love you.
- 54:14Don't let me cry, man. Don't make me cry.
- 54:16Don't make me cry. God bless you.
- 54:18If your boyfriend don't want to come, ignore him.
- 54:22If your girlfriend don't want to come, ignore her.
- 54:25If your husband don't want to come, ignore him.
- 54:27Your husband. What doesn't want to come?
- 54:29You come because you're hurting. We'll wait for you.
- 54:33Be on. Go for it.
- 54:34We'll wait for you. Let's hum whoever you are
- 54:37quickly. God bless you, brother.
- 54:41Are you hurting and broken with it?
- 54:46Overwhelmed by the way of sin? Jesus is called.
- 54:55Have you come to the end of yourself?
- 55:01Do you thirst for a dream from the where Jesus is called, will
- 55:10come to, will come to the altar of Father's arms are open wide.
- 55:22Forgiveness is by we. Look, fresh is lot of Jesus.
- 55:36If you're still wavering, this is this is what I see.
- 55:40Check this out. This is what I see from people.
- 55:42You're doing this. Don't you hear a voice say?
- 55:49Don't get up. You gonna look stupid.
- 55:52Why are they look stupid here but enter into heaven?
- 55:56I'd rather walk with the cross just like Jesus was humiliated
- 55:59just for 830 feet. I beg of you, don't let pride
- 56:08hold you, because pride is the only thing that's holding you
- 56:12right now. For once in your life, tell
- 56:15pride to go to hell for the first time in your life and
- 56:19humble yourself. If you a grandma, you a grandpa.
- 56:21Grandma, grandpa, you got power. You get saved.
- 56:24You come to Jesus, the whole family with your grandpa,
- 56:26grandpa, what happened? And all you guys, I love you
- 56:29guys. So Jesus loved me.
- 56:32There are people that said, man, if he says it one more time,
- 56:34that's that's a sign for me. I'll say one more time.
- 56:38We're going to sing it one more time.
- 56:39A little short version if that is you don't leave without Jesus
- 56:44because you're going to walk out of there without Jesus and
- 56:46you're going to say, man, I should have.
- 56:49Don't listen to that voice. Listen to the voice of Jesus.
- 56:53Come just as you are. We'll wait.
- 56:55We'll wait. Let's go for it again.
- 57:05Our goodness, let's by with the precious love Jesus Christ, oh,
- 57:14come to the altar. The father's arms are broken.
- 57:20Why? Forgiveness.
- 57:24The spot with the precious. Anybody else?
- 57:35Double time. Double time.
- 57:37Anybody else? Anybody else?
- 57:41We'll wait for you. We'll wait for you.
- 57:45We'll wait for you. You may be a professional.
- 57:50You may be a very academic, cerebral person.
- 57:54I I admire you. But you don't have Jesus.
- 58:00Walk out with Jesus and let the Lord use your all your qualities
- 58:05that you have and give it to the glory of God.
- 58:09Stop the madness. The only that's holding you
- 58:12right now, it cannot be the truth.
- 58:14The truth has been dispensed. The loyalty and the love of God
- 58:18has been offered to you. It's free.
- 58:21You don't have to do anything. Every.
- 58:23He did everything for us on Good Friday.
- 58:26Why was it good? Because he loved you this much.
- 58:31Anybody else? Quickly.
- 58:32We'll wait for you. Are we all right?
- 58:35Are we OK? We'll wait for you, Madam.
- 58:37Brother. We'll wait for you, Bella.
- 58:40Unless you. We'll wait for you.
- 58:44We'll wait for you, Papa. Wait for you.
- 58:47Come. There's room at the table, man.
- 58:49There's room at the table. Anybody else?
- 58:53Anybody else? We're room for you, Papa.
- 58:56We wait for you. Anybody else?
- 58:58There's room at the table. There's room at the table.
- 59:02There's room at the table. Anybody else?
- 59:06Anybody else? You know how I feel right now.
- 59:12I have. I have my brotherinlaw and he's
- 59:15one year older than me. He suffers from ID intellectual
- 59:19deficiency and he has a he has a saying when he feels something.
- 59:25So he cannot think intellectually as you and I can.
- 59:29When he sees some funkiness, he goes, I don't think so.
- 59:35I don't think so. Hey, the Dodger's going to win.
- 59:39That was yesterday. Dodger going to win.
- 59:40He goes, I don't think so. And he was right.
- 59:45And now I say, like my brotherinlaw, there's more here
- 59:48than me. Jesus, it's not over.
- 59:52I don't think so. There's someone else.
- 59:56Maybe one or two. If that is you, Listen, God is
- 1:00:01making space for you. Make your way.
- 1:00:04Whoever you are, quickly make your way.
- 1:00:07Anybody else? Anybody else?
- 1:00:10Are we good? I learned this in Hawaii.
- 1:00:13Okay. So this is not nasty.
- 1:00:16Anything else? Are we good?
- 1:00:17Yes, we're good. My brotherinlaw is wrong.
- 1:00:22For those of you that are here, you're not joining a religion.
- 1:00:26Amen. My brotherinlaw was right.
- 1:00:29My brotherinlaw was right again. God bless you.
- 1:00:33Love you. Listen, all of you that are
- 1:00:35here. You're not joining a church,
- 1:00:38though you're welcome here. But you know you don't have to
- 1:00:39come here. You're not joining a religion.
- 1:00:45You're giving yourself to Jesus Christ.
- 1:00:47He'll do the work. Would you repeat the simple pray
- 1:00:50it after me out loud there? Jesus, please forgive me.
- 1:00:57I'm a Sinner and I receive you in my heart as my Lord and my
- 1:01:02Savior, as my Redeemer and friend.
- 1:01:06Fill me with your Holy Spirit created me a new mind, a new
- 1:01:13heart and a clean conscience. And put my name in the book of
- 1:01:18life. In Jesus name I pray.
- 1:01:22Amen. We want to give you a Bible.
- 1:01:26We want to give you a Bible. And if you can go this way,
- 1:01:30they'll give you a Bible. If you don't need a Bible, let
- 1:01:32them know you don't need a Bible.
- 1:01:34Go this way. If you can't go for it, can't
- 1:01:36you go this way? Look this way.
- 1:01:38Where? Where?
- 1:01:38Where was my guys out here? Where's the guys out here with
- 1:01:40the Bible? Here you go.
- 1:01:41Right here. Thank you, son.
- 1:01:43All of you. Thank you for your time.
- 1:01:44I went a little over. But look at what God does with a
- 1:01:47little over. And the Lord be with you.
- 1:01:51The visitors of life will come. Your neighbor, your coworker,
- 1:01:56they're going to the pit bull right now.
- 1:01:58The last thing they need from you is to condemn them.
- 1:02:01Go out there and shine your little light and hopefully you
- 1:02:05can radiate the love, the goodness and the hope and the
- 1:02:08comfort. There is hope for Aurora.
