- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I'm in the movie for food.
- 0:15Speaker 3: KFI AM sixty forty bill Handle Here. It is a
- 0:20Speaker 3: Friday morning, July thirty one, step thirty, once thirty once.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Oh, by the way, I don't have the pageant of
- 0:29Speaker 3: the Master's copy here, but if you have the opportunity
- 0:32Speaker 3: this summer to go through to pageant of the masters's
- 0:36Speaker 3: so phenomenal it is this year particularly, it's a good
- 0:39Speaker 3: through September fourth, and man, what a show it is.
- 0:43Speaker 3: There's nothing in the world like it.
- 0:46Speaker 1: If you live in southern California and you've never been,
- 0:48Speaker 1: shame on you.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yeah it is.
- 0:49Speaker 3: It's people who are works of art. They're part of
- 0:54Speaker 3: works of art, iconic works of art. And it is.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Oh.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Next year we officially are going to be in the
- 1:04Speaker 3: Last Supper.
- 1:05Speaker 1: That would be tremendous.
- 1:07Speaker 2: We're officially going to be part of the.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Picture, as have you with those folks after behind the
- 1:12Speaker 1: STA So we're getting next year's so magic. It is.
- 1:16Speaker 2: It is. So here's what I.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Must suggest you do because it's good through July fourth,
- 1:20Speaker 3: ticket start of a forty two bucks and there's no
- 1:22Speaker 3: bad seat in the house. So just a Google pageant
- 1:26Speaker 3: of the Master's Laguna Beach. That's all you have to do.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you're going to be in the Last Supper.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yeah, we played Judas with Neil. With Neil, I'm going
- 1:36Speaker 1: to be in the Last Supper. The both of us
- 1:39Speaker 1: are going to be there next year. I hope I'm
- 1:41Speaker 1: not type cast. This could be interesting. I'm going to
- 1:47Speaker 1: be the caterer there. They're wonderful people and it is
- 1:54Speaker 1: absolutely stunning.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I have a question regarding the last supper. Who did
- 1:59Speaker 3: the cleanup, who cleared the dishes?
- 2:02Speaker 1: The photographer who got everybody to sit on the same side,
- 2:05Speaker 1: got it, goes Hey, I can't see everybody everyone get
- 2:07Speaker 1: on the same side.
- 2:09Speaker 3: So anyway, I'm going to be talking more and more
- 2:10Speaker 3: about that. But if you are intersted in one of
- 2:12Speaker 3: the most extraordinary, extraordinary evenings of your life in terms
- 2:16Speaker 3: of if you care about art, it's worth going. So
- 2:20Speaker 3: it's pageant of the Master's Lulia Beach. Google it. Okay,
- 2:24Speaker 3: it is time for foody Friday. Nils of Adria and
- 2:28Speaker 3: Neil heard tomorrow two to five pm indeed with a
- 2:32Speaker 3: fork report. And that's after a handle on the law
- 2:35Speaker 3: a few hours after handle on the law, which is
- 2:37Speaker 3: eight to eleven. All right, Campbell's soup or frozen meals
- 2:42Speaker 3: chunky frozen meals.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Now I like chunky, yeah, the Campbell's chunky. Yeah, I
- 2:47Speaker 1: love chunky.
- 2:48Speaker 3: It's just I like chunky peanut butter, although I hate
- 2:51Speaker 3: peanut butter.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I just like you hate chocolate and peanut butter.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Uh.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not I will eat chocolate, but I'm not
- 2:57Speaker 3: crazy about peanut butter. I love peanut sauce on skewers,
- 3:02Speaker 3: et cetera. Love peanut sauce, but not crazy your sete. Yeah,
- 3:05Speaker 3: but I'm not crazy about I'm not crazy.
- 3:07Speaker 1: About peanut butter. Sauce is basically peanut butter. Yeah, I
- 3:11Speaker 1: for some reason, I'm fine with sauce.
- 3:13Speaker 3: But let's talk about Campbell's frozen meals, chunky frozen meal.
- 3:18Speaker 1: So this is the first time that Campbell's is releasing
- 3:22Speaker 1: these first ever frozen meals, and they're under that chunky
- 3:27Speaker 1: Campbell's brand, and they look pretty darn good. Actually they
- 3:32Speaker 1: have let's see here, they've got eight new sources. And
- 3:36Speaker 1: as we know right now, everybody's looking for protein. A
- 3:39Speaker 1: lot of that comes down to the glp ones and
- 3:42Speaker 1: the fact that there are some things that can go
- 3:44Speaker 1: with the glp ones, and including hair loss and some
- 3:47Speaker 1: things like that. You need to boost your protein. So
- 3:51Speaker 1: Campbell's Chunky is bringing their signature bold flavors stuff that
- 3:55Speaker 1: we've all loved. Each Chunky frozen bowl packs between twenty
- 3:59Speaker 1: and twenty eight grams of protein.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Which is almost a full days I think, no, half
- 4:05Speaker 3: a day. No, No, fifty sixty grams.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I'm I'm doing at least sixty now and they want
- 4:12Speaker 1: me at one hundred.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Oh, that's a lot. That's a lot of protein.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Who you telling? So it definitely is probably a woman
- 4:21Speaker 1: is probably sixty or bela. But Amy, did you me, Okay,
- 4:28Speaker 1: what how much do you think a woman should?
- 4:32Speaker 2: How much should we have?
- 4:33Speaker 5: No?
- 4:33Speaker 2: How much do you not to? How much you have?
- 4:35Speaker 2: How much do you think a woman should?
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yeah, even a just woman like you're suggesting protein, she
- 4:44Speaker 3: has no idea.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I don't. I don't have an idea.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I just I know that I've got my little protein
- 4:50Speaker 1: drink that says it's not everything that you need, but
- 4:52Speaker 1: it's you know, it's a boost in protein. You know
- 4:55Speaker 1: what is Will around? Because Will knows chunky better than anybody?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Why? Why?
- 5:01Speaker 1: All right? Some of the flavors, what baseline forty six
- 5:08Speaker 1: grams for that's for women, forty six grams sitting around
- 5:13Speaker 1: the house. Yeah, yeah, if you're active, it should be
- 5:15Speaker 1: seventy two one hundred. Okay, all right, Cheesy loaded potato
- 5:20Speaker 1: with steak and bacon bowl, Sign me up. Beefy pasta
- 5:24Speaker 1: and Stroganoff sauce. Stroganoff sauce. I like they go ahead
- 5:29Speaker 1: and cut that out, will you?
- 5:30Speaker 2: Kono?
- 5:31Speaker 1: Buffalo style chicken mac and cheese bowl, Bacon cheddar mac
- 5:36Speaker 1: and cheese bowl, Chili mac and cheese bowl, Country fried
- 5:39Speaker 1: chicken and mashed potatoes bowl.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Now that is Country fried chicken is my go to.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I love country fried chicken. I figure you would.
- 5:49Speaker 1: They also have a meat Lover's Lasagna, Philly cheeseteak, steak,
- 5:52Speaker 1: mac and cheese bowl. So a lot of these options
- 5:55Speaker 1: coming to a place near you. I think frozen food
- 6:00Speaker 1: and the technology behind it is coming into itself a
- 6:03Speaker 1: little bit. Oh yeah, it's just less waste, and I
- 6:08Speaker 1: just think that it's it's coming into.
- 6:11Speaker 3: It I have a question because one of my favorites
- 6:14Speaker 3: is chicken fried steak or beef.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Isn't that beef and not chicken?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Chicken fried? Steak? Yeah, is steak? Where's the chicken? That's
- 6:25Speaker 1: it's chicken fried fried chicken, meaning that you put thirteen spices,
- 6:32Speaker 1: herbs and spices. I've always been confused about chicken fried
- 6:37Speaker 1: other than that it is chicken for hair in the
- 6:40Speaker 1: way you fry chicken. But it is genius.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Now, I don't know why you did this, as if
- 6:48Speaker 3: I guess the softball, you were just going to throw
- 6:50Speaker 3: something at me that I could hit out of the ballpark.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Picking the best grocery store rotesserie chicken, it doesn't even
- 6:59Speaker 3: come close.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Oh Sneil.
- 7:01Speaker 1: This is about looking at it differently and not just
- 7:05Speaker 1: grabbing something. There is a way to check out the
- 7:09Speaker 1: rotisserie chicken. Now walking say all you do is go
- 7:13Speaker 1: to Costco.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Right, And that is not just me saying that. That
- 7:18Speaker 3: is a medical fact that study after study has done
- 7:22Speaker 3: that this is the best rotisserie chicken out there.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Every chicken, no matter how good the rotisserie chicken is,
- 7:29Speaker 1: every rotisserie chicken can be past its prime in there.
- 7:32Speaker 1: There's a couple of things you should keep in mind.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I normally would tell people not to go into grocery
- 7:37Speaker 1: stores during heavy times for certain things. However, when you're
- 7:42Speaker 1: going to fast food and when you're going to pre
- 7:44Speaker 1: made food, you want to be there at the peak time.
- 7:47Speaker 1: You want to be there when everybody's going to get it,
- 7:49Speaker 1: because they're moving quickly. They're not sitting there. So when
- 7:53Speaker 1: you go and you look for a rotisserie chicken, a
- 7:56Speaker 1: couple of things that you should keep in mind. One,
- 7:58Speaker 1: it should feel heavier for its size. Same thing I
- 8:01Speaker 1: tell people about watermelon. Watermelons should feel heavier than they look.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So when you pick them up, you pick up a
- 8:08Speaker 1: rotisserie chicken, that means the juices have been retained, and
- 8:12Speaker 1: you don't want a lot of that juice at the
- 8:14Speaker 1: bottom of the container. You want a little liquid on there,
- 8:18Speaker 1: but the majority should be still in the bird. Any
- 8:22Speaker 1: juices you do see should be clear or maybe a
- 8:25Speaker 1: little bit like brown. It's gonna sound gross, but the
- 8:29Speaker 1: reality is sometimes you will see a green or brownish
- 8:32Speaker 1: color on the skin. Not good when the skin shrivels
- 8:37Speaker 1: or is curling up and not you know, wrapping itself.
- 8:41Speaker 1: It should smell lovely, should smell roasted. And I almost
- 8:51Speaker 1: said aramaic aroma.
- 8:53Speaker 2: It should smell good.
- 8:55Speaker 1: How that aromatic? Thank you? And what would we do
- 8:59Speaker 1: without you and your tiny little self. So the red
- 9:05Speaker 1: flags to look out is pale in color. If it's
- 9:08Speaker 1: too pale all the way around, has that cracked or
- 9:10Speaker 1: shriveled skin, excess liquid in the container, rotten or sour
- 9:16Speaker 1: smell or slimy or sticky. You should not have on
- 9:20Speaker 1: these things. You want them to be moving. Now. Some
- 9:22Speaker 1: people ask me all the time, and I laugh at this.
- 9:25Speaker 1: People look at the color of meat and they'll go,
- 9:29Speaker 1: there's pink in there, and it's not cooked. That's not true.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Cooked chicken could be pink, it can be white, it
- 9:37Speaker 1: can be a couple different things. You don't want it translucent.
- 9:41Speaker 1: But as long as it's been cooked and brought up
- 9:43Speaker 1: to one hundred and sixty five degrees, it's cooked. I
- 9:46Speaker 1: don't care what color.
- 9:47Speaker 2: It is, all right.
- 9:48Speaker 3: So with costco chicken, I don't know how you get
- 9:52Speaker 3: chickens that big. They're actually small turkeys. They're five dollars.
- 9:58Speaker 3: They're always fresh because they're scooped up. They tight around, yo, man,
- 10:03Speaker 3: do they turn around? And the other day I was
- 10:06Speaker 3: there's a Gelson's.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Near near me.
- 10:08Speaker 1: A matter of fact, the closest door near my store
- 10:11Speaker 1: near my house is at Gelson's.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And I needed something, a milk or something.
- 10:16Speaker 3: And that's the only time I'll ever go to Gelson's
- 10:18Speaker 3: and spend that kind of money. And just for you know,
- 10:22Speaker 3: kicks and giggles. I went looked at their rotisserie chicken.
- 10:28Speaker 3: It was nineteen dollars and I thought it was Rotisserie Sparrow.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Fifteen dollars.
- 10:36Speaker 2: No, so yeah, I was like fourteen ninety nine for
- 10:39Speaker 2: a chick and it was third the size of the costco.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I like Gelson's. I think, you know what, Gelson's one
- 10:46Speaker 1: of the few stores you walk into the that I can't.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I don't openly see thievery like I go to grocery
- 10:54Speaker 1: stores and see people stealings all the time. You know why,
- 10:57Speaker 1: because they only let rich white people walk through. There's rude.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I'm not rich or white. Thank you.
- 11:04Speaker 3: They didn't stop you from coming in. Security didn't say
- 11:06Speaker 3: excuse me.
- 11:07Speaker 1: They did ask me to enter from the back, yes
- 11:10Speaker 1: they did, which I thought was a little strange, but yes,
- 11:12Speaker 1: it is. Can't be pricey at Gelson's. But they're also
- 11:16Speaker 1: very nice stores.
- 11:17Speaker 2: They are.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I mean, their produce is phenomenal, but you pay for it.
- 11:21Speaker 3: It's like across the.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Street with.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Whole Foods.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Whole Foods, they're also very nice stores and very expensive.
- 11:30Speaker 1: They can be pricing. They're no Arowan, but who is
- 11:35Speaker 1: or Sprouts?
- 11:36Speaker 2: I can't believe what Sprouts costs.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Sprouts isn't bad with Whole Foods, well, Irolon is like
- 11:45Speaker 1: fresh squeezed water and stuff that doesn't make sense, and
- 11:48Speaker 1: it's four hundred dollars.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty expensive.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And I normally what I do is go to the
- 11:54Speaker 1: Ralph's outlets what food for less? No Ralph's outlets where
- 12:00Speaker 1: food they take the seconds like they.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Do with other stores.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I used to love that as a kid, going to
- 12:06Speaker 1: the Hostess cupcake stores. Yeah, it' the one in came
- 12:10Speaker 1: rio and day old, three day old, week old, and
- 12:13Speaker 1: then they started dropping in price, month old, and it
- 12:16Speaker 1: was just terrific.
- 12:17Speaker 3: We're done, Neil, that's it. Yeah, it's been a great
- 12:20Speaker 3: foody Friday, hasn't it already.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Been one of my favorites?
- 12:23Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 12:24Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 12:24Speaker 3: All right, And before we dive into ask Candle anything, Neil,
- 12:31Speaker 3: let's do and ask Neil anything about the Dodgers.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You got it. Your official home for Dodgers Baseball is
- 12:37Speaker 1: AM five seventy LA Sports. Tonight, you're back to back
- 12:41Speaker 1: world champion Dodgers take on the Red Sox with first
- 12:44Speaker 1: pitch at seven. Listen on A five to seventy e
- 12:47Speaker 1: LA Sports and stream on the iHeartRadio app brought to
- 12:50Speaker 1: you by City of Hope. More cancer breakthroughs, more moments
- 12:54Speaker 1: to celebrate life.
- 12:56Speaker 3: There we go. Okay, ask Candle. That's for Monday. By
- 12:59Speaker 3: the way, we didn't do that, did we. I'm talking
- 13:01Speaker 3: to Ann No, I know, I just threw that at
- 13:04Speaker 3: you for Monday. Okay, topic that we didn't do this morning?
- 13:08Speaker 1: And what are you going to do right now?
- 13:09Speaker 2: I'm going to do Ask Candle anything right?
- 13:11Speaker 1: And now what are you gonna do?
- 13:11Speaker 3: The last segment's sol It's solar, yeah, solared. I didn't
- 13:15Speaker 3: do the solar segment?
- 13:16Speaker 1: Did I ask candle?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Fans?
- 13:18Speaker 1: Next segment?
- 13:19Speaker 5: No?
- 13:19Speaker 3: Oh, I'm oh, I'm doing solar now. And then we're
- 13:21Speaker 3: finishing with ask Candle anything, got it? Okay, I'm a
- 13:24Speaker 3: little confused. Oh yeah, see uh yeah, let me have
- 13:29Speaker 3: that story?
- 13:29Speaker 1: Was president?
- 13:30Speaker 2: Okay? Exactly?
- 13:32Speaker 3: See, here's is it. Hold on, here is here is
- 13:36Speaker 3: the here that's funny. Here is the confusion. Okay, I'm
- 13:41Speaker 3: looking at my eight thirty segment and then the eight
- 13:44Speaker 3: fifty segment, and here's where I was confused. The eight
- 13:47Speaker 3: thirty segment is the solar story and eight fifty is
- 13:51Speaker 3: ask candle anything. And I got the two confused, and
- 13:54Speaker 3: it's right in front of my face the other one.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Okay, you throwing.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Better than Anne busting or hump in a day out
- 14:02Speaker 1: and doing this ignore.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Everything, Okay, and you've already done the Dodgers just now right, Yeah, okay,
- 14:07Speaker 3: so that's done.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You were there for that, so I hope. Yeah, I'm
- 14:10Speaker 1: breaking down.
- 14:10Speaker 3: No, I know, what's the color your tie? You're not
- 14:13Speaker 3: even wearing a tie. Now, some great news for the
- 14:17Speaker 3: state of California. If you happen to if you're happened
- 14:21Speaker 3: to be in favor of alternative energy, which I am,
- 14:25Speaker 3: California hit a major milestone in May, and it's believed
- 14:30Speaker 3: to be a global first. In May, we generated more
- 14:36Speaker 3: than fifty percent of a total power usage from electricity
- 14:41Speaker 3: or from solar to create electricity. It's never happened before.
- 14:46Speaker 3: And there's a new analysis from a think tank called
- 14:49Speaker 3: ember and they deal with the energy in its side
- 14:51Speaker 3: of the UK, and Abby Lestina, who is an analyst there, said,
- 14:57Speaker 3: California has had a wealth of solar growth in the
- 15:01Speaker 3: last five years, and it makes sense that we would
- 15:03Speaker 3: reach this goal. We are ahead of where we should be,
- 15:08Speaker 3: or at least what we have determined.
- 15:11Speaker 1: We should hope, being California and like sun all year
- 15:16Speaker 1: round exactly.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I mean, California is one of the great great places
- 15:19Speaker 3: to do this because we have so much sunlight.
- 15:23Speaker 2: And at the same time, we have a not only
- 15:28Speaker 2: a political.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Will, but a legislature that does this, and we just
- 15:32Speaker 3: are in favor of solar power. I'm willing to bad
- 15:35Speaker 3: if we did a survey, Californians are more in favor
- 15:38Speaker 3: of alternative energy, particularly solar, than any other state. So
- 15:43Speaker 3: over fifty percent for the entire month, and that's pretty good. Now,
- 15:49Speaker 3: for the first five months, California made more electricity from
- 15:52Speaker 3: solar than from natural gas, which is the main source
- 15:57Speaker 3: of power around the country. Actually, I know talks about
- 16:00Speaker 3: coal really isn't. Natural gas is And all of our
- 16:04Speaker 3: power plants here are natural gas except for the alternative energy.
- 16:09Speaker 3: And so that's been the dominant source of electricity, and
- 16:12Speaker 3: there is one reason that we are able to do that,
- 16:17Speaker 3: and in the future we're going to be able to
- 16:18Speaker 3: do much more. We're able to create much more solar
- 16:22Speaker 3: energy than ever before. One reason batteries. The problem with
- 16:29Speaker 3: solar has always been batteries. The technology of producing electricity
- 16:36Speaker 3: has been there for a long time and we're talking
- 16:40Speaker 3: about well, the technology and producing solar power is just astronomical.
- 16:44Speaker 3: The Chinese are way ahead of the game across the country.
- 16:47Speaker 3: They provide more electricity, more solar panels than anybody in
- 16:50Speaker 3: the world by a long shot. Even the US uses it,
- 16:53Speaker 3: even with the tariffs. The battery technology has always been
- 16:59Speaker 3: the big a gaboo and now and we're told I've
- 17:04Speaker 3: done stories about this over and over again. You know,
- 17:07Speaker 3: we're years away from having enough battery technology to really
- 17:11Speaker 3: make all of this work.
- 17:12Speaker 2: We're there, We're there.
- 17:14Speaker 3: And today I don't know of anybody who puts in
- 17:17Speaker 3: a solar system, and I know people who are in
- 17:20Speaker 3: the solar business. Do you say, do commercials for a
- 17:24Speaker 3: solar And I put a solar system in my house
- 17:26Speaker 3: obviously when I moved obviously, but I did, and it
- 17:29Speaker 3: came with a battery pack, because today you buy a
- 17:32Speaker 3: solar system, it comes with batteries.
- 17:35Speaker 2: It's sort of the thing to do.
- 17:36Speaker 1: But aren't you back to natural resources at that point batteries.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but not to the extent of the power. Yes,
- 17:45Speaker 2: you are.
- 17:46Speaker 1: You're sucking up natural resources, you're using lithium, you're using
- 17:50Speaker 1: all of this stuff that batteries are going to have
- 17:53Speaker 1: to be replaced at some point, but they last ten years.
- 17:55Speaker 3: You know, there are solar cars, you know, there are
- 17:59Speaker 3: I'm sorry, battery powered evs that have been out there
- 18:03Speaker 3: for fifteen years and the batteries are still good. And
- 18:06Speaker 3: you're right, at some point it's all going to come
- 18:09Speaker 3: home to roost or rust, depending on if you're in
- 18:12Speaker 3: the Midwest with the cars. But still, even with the
- 18:16Speaker 3: problems of recycling those batteries, and they can use a
- 18:20Speaker 3: lot of the components of those batteries, a lot of
- 18:22Speaker 3: them to recycle the energy that is produced, it makes
- 18:27Speaker 3: a lot of sense. When you talk about the equation,
- 18:29Speaker 3: it's not even close. And so the big deal, of course,
- 18:34Speaker 3: was you could generate a lot of power with solar
- 18:36Speaker 3: and with wind power. I mean, there's enough out there
- 18:39Speaker 3: to literally create virtually all the power you would need.
- 18:42Speaker 3: The problem is what do you do at night? What
- 18:45Speaker 3: do you do when the wind doesn't blow? You got
- 18:49Speaker 3: a problem. If batteries are there, you're right in line.
- 18:52Speaker 3: So we're doing great now, we still need power plants
- 18:57Speaker 3: because you've got days like today where it's you use well.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Air conditioning at my house is running twenty four to
- 19:05Speaker 3: seven and it used to be.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Right now, I'm still paying.
- 19:10Speaker 3: For electricity even with a full blown solar system.
- 19:14Speaker 2: And why is that?
- 19:16Speaker 3: Because the sun is out there, it's one hundred and
- 19:19Speaker 3: five degrees and we need we need additional power. That's
- 19:23Speaker 3: what happens we reach critical mass and do we have
- 19:26Speaker 3: to have those power plants kick in to sort of
- 19:31Speaker 3: fulfill the parts that they're missing. And when we're at
- 19:34Speaker 3: this heat, man, you got to do it. But the
- 19:36Speaker 3: bottom line is we are in great shape here. Legislation
- 19:41Speaker 3: signed in twenty eighteen, all of California's electricity is going
- 19:46Speaker 3: to come from clean sources by twenty forty five. Keep
- 19:49Speaker 3: in mind we're already fifty percent there just from solar,
- 19:55Speaker 3: doesn't count wind farbes, you know, those giant windmills, and
- 19:59Speaker 3: so we are well on our way.
- 20:01Speaker 2: We are well on our.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Way, except this administration hates alternative energy and trying to
- 20:06Speaker 3: shut it down.
- 20:06Speaker 2: It really is, for sure.
- 20:09Speaker 3: They just stopped a huge plant in New Jersey, ninety
- 20:16Speaker 3: percent finished and it was shut down. It's a Friday,
- 20:21Speaker 3: which means it's Ask Handle Anything, And the rules are
- 20:24Speaker 3: always the same. During the show, you go to the
- 20:27Speaker 3: iHeartRadio app click on the KFI and this show is streaming.
- 20:32Speaker 3: And during this show, you go to the you record
- 20:35Speaker 3: a question microphone at the top right hand corner.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Once you're logged onto.
- 20:41Speaker 3: KFI, and you record the question and you'll chooses the
- 20:45Speaker 3: best question and I answer, And it's all for the
- 20:48Speaker 3: purpose of embarrassing me.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Okay, kono.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Let's start with the first question of ask handle Anything.
- 20:56Speaker 5: So this is a question for handle I really, I
- 21:03Speaker 5: really want to know why the heck can't you tell
- 21:07Speaker 5: the difference between.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Amy and Anne?
- 21:12Speaker 5: It baffles me, especially when you're looking at them every
- 21:16Speaker 5: single day.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a legit question, Matt.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Now, and.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Did you say An I say or Amy? And I
- 21:27Speaker 3: you know, I'm as bad. I'm as baffled too. But
- 21:30Speaker 3: what I do is I confuse my dogs all the time.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Doesn't make it better.
- 21:35Speaker 3: One's male, one's female. I certainly confuse Amy and Ann
- 21:39Speaker 3: because they will start with a.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Okay, I confuse everybody instead of Lindsey.
- 21:46Speaker 3: I do quite Lindsay. Lindsay really enjoys that. The answer
- 21:49Speaker 3: is I'm I'm baffled too, because that's just the way
- 21:51Speaker 3: I roll in. It's unfortunate. But uh, I am very
- 21:55Speaker 3: confused with life. That's I can't answer any by the
- 22:00Speaker 3: way life confuses me. Okay, all right, one more for
- 22:04Speaker 3: ask Neal anything, dummy.
- 22:09Speaker 6: This is for Friday, ask candle or anything.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Since you were a kid during the nuclear scared.
- 22:17Speaker 6: If a nuclear bomb had gone off and you were
- 22:19Speaker 6: at school, did your parents give you the option of
- 22:22Speaker 6: staying in school or risking it and making your way
- 22:25Speaker 6: back home so that you guys could be together for
- 22:27Speaker 6: the end.
- 22:29Speaker 3: What are you talking about if an atomic bomb went off,
- 22:32Speaker 3: my choice of going home or going staying in sayat.
- 22:36Speaker 2: No, but that's besides the point.
- 22:39Speaker 1: You would tell your daughters to come home? Oh No,
- 22:42Speaker 1: I wouldn't say come home in the fallout.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Yes, I would, only if the fallout was coming, then
- 22:50Speaker 3: they can come home. No, I would not, But it
- 22:53Speaker 3: wasn't to answer your question. It never even occurred to
- 22:56Speaker 3: anybody to go home if there was a if there
- 23:01Speaker 3: was going to be a real.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Attack, you were just going to kiss your ass.
- 23:05Speaker 2: You were just going to kiss your ass right there.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I mean, you were done in.
- 23:08Speaker 1: It bizarre that that question came in on the same
- 23:12Speaker 1: day that you brought up this morning. This morning I
- 23:15Speaker 1: did yeah about being in school and yeah and listening
- 23:19Speaker 1: to those alarms all right. Cono, Hey, Bill, I know
- 23:23Speaker 1: you like to go on vacations all over the world.
- 23:26Speaker 1: How do you choose the next location of your vacation?
- 23:30Speaker 2: Thanks, Oh, that's a very good question. It's someplace.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Well, I've been to a lot of places. Some place
- 23:38Speaker 3: that I haven't gone is one of them. Another one
- 23:42Speaker 3: is the food. I go for the food.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And the other one is is there a deal out there?
- 23:51Speaker 2: You know, is there a deal on airlines out there?
- 23:53Speaker 2: Because sometimes you get these smoking deals on airlines on
- 23:58Speaker 2: flights and that'll do it. That's it.
- 24:00Speaker 1: You know, where haven't you been that you want to go?
- 24:03Speaker 1: I haven't been to India, and I don't really in
- 24:06Speaker 1: that I've never been and I don't have is magical.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's I loved and I love looking at poor people.
- 24:14Speaker 2: There is nothing that.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Gives me more joy than being around really poor people
- 24:19Speaker 1: because it makes me feel that much richer.
- 24:21Speaker 2: It is why I love.
- 24:22Speaker 1: It is bizarre in that sense because you can see
- 24:26Speaker 1: a mansion right next to a hovel.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Now, So, yeah, where else have I gone?
- 24:31Speaker 3: Now? And pretty much every place else that I wanted
- 24:34Speaker 3: to go to I've h I've sort of been. Now
- 24:38Speaker 3: is traveling with Lindsay who has not done a lot
- 24:40Speaker 3: of traveling and seeing U traveling through her eyes, and
- 24:46Speaker 3: that is really that is magical.
- 24:47Speaker 1: And it's magical having kids, I know, because you get
- 24:52Speaker 1: to see it through their young eyes.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I don't do It's like daddy, now, this's this, Yeah,
- 24:57Speaker 2: I know.
- 24:58Speaker 1: No, it is cool because we we are starting to
- 25:00Speaker 1: travel with Max and it is neat to see traveling
- 25:03Speaker 1: and someone else. It is nice who has them.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Okay, I think we have time for one more good morning. Though.
- 25:08Speaker 4: I have a contractual question. It seems like you work
- 25:12Speaker 4: three hours a day, but your show used to be
- 25:15Speaker 4: four hours a day. So did you get a pay
- 25:17Speaker 4: cut when that happened or is there no limitation on
- 25:21Speaker 4: the length of your shows? Yeah?
- 25:24Speaker 2: I did not. Okay, a separate contract or.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Is it all one?
- 25:31Speaker 2: You want to keep on going?
- 25:32Speaker 4: All right?
- 25:33Speaker 3: She's yeah, she was writing a book. No, I didn't
- 25:36Speaker 3: get a pay cut. None of us got pay cuts.
- 25:37Speaker 3: When we went to three hours, A lot of us
- 25:39Speaker 3: had four hour stints.
- 25:40Speaker 2: No pay cut.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Uh, they added a day part of which Now Monk
- 25:45Speaker 3: and Merrill are monks. Yeah, him too, Monk mon It's
- 25:52Speaker 3: all the same. And so no pay cut. And Handle
- 25:56Speaker 3: on the Law is a separate entity. Uh, it is
- 25:59Speaker 3: not this, it's not my mind through Friday show. And
- 26:03Speaker 3: I got to tell you those three hours stints. My god,
- 26:05Speaker 3: I get tired, I really do.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I get tired of you.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I get tired. I mean I have to
- 26:10Speaker 3: you know, when I'm at home. Man, that commute that
- 26:13Speaker 3: I have, My god, it's thirty feet. I go down
- 26:19Speaker 3: the stairs and walk into the studio. So there, Actually
- 26:22Speaker 3: that was a pretty good question. It was all right,
- 26:24Speaker 3: we're done, guys. Tomorrow morning, Handle on the Law from
- 26:29Speaker 3: eight to eleven o'clock Neil two to five with the
- 26:33Speaker 3: Fork Report, and Monday morning we come back and start
- 26:37Speaker 3: all over again.
- 26:38Speaker 2: So have a good weekend. Everybody. Enjoy the heat.
- 26:41Speaker 3: It's half a schitz, but it's hot KFI Am sixty.
