- 0:34Speaker 2: before we get into a little bit more recruiting, and
- 0:35Speaker 2: I I want to tell you about rejuve Me rejewven
- 0:37Speaker 2: me medical dot Com, one of our newest partners here
- 0:42Speaker 2: at Off the Bench. We are so fired up the
- 0:44Speaker 2: people over there, how that business has grown has been
- 0:46Speaker 2: incredible in this They've grown because they do things the
- 0:49Speaker 2: right way. They are Louisiana's a leader for the last
- 0:51Speaker 2: ten years in fourmone replacement therapy. It's something like it's
- 0:56Speaker 2: really uh. I think at one point people were a
- 0:58Speaker 2: little bit like nervous, bashful to talk about that back
- 1:00Speaker 2: in the day. But not anymore. Man, I think everybody
- 1:02Speaker 2: understands that things happen. There's ways to fix how your
- 1:06Speaker 2: body ages and how you're feeling. So man, if you're
- 1:08Speaker 2: feeling a little down, if you're feeling a little into dumps.
- 1:10Speaker 2: If you little lower libido, the energy that just that
- 1:14Speaker 2: go to that charisma that you used to.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Have as as your younger self. Man, get it back.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Just go get those free labs if you call them
- 1:20Speaker 2: book ahead twenty percent off those those free those those
- 1:23Speaker 2: labs that you get just to check underneath the hood,

- 1:27Speaker 2: for go. So go check them out. They got so
- 1:29Speaker 2: many services for you, your wife, whoever it is. So go
- 1:31Speaker 2: check them out. Rejuven me medical dot com absolutely fat
- 1:35Speaker 2: the state too.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Faright after having back they are if you're listening to
- 1:37Speaker 4: us in Louisiana, there's a location near you find the
- 1:40Speaker 4: location rejeven me medical dot com. All right, So we
- 1:44Speaker 4: have had a couple of signings come in for LSU
- 1:47Speaker 4: Safety Isaiah Washington officially became a Tiger about thirty minutes ago.
- 1:52Speaker 4: You have Safety Aiden Hall, which Elanja told us that
- 1:55Speaker 4: was about forty five minutes ago. You have Cornerback des
- 1:58Speaker 4: Ellis that was about an hour ago.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And so Bradon Allen was the last one we told
- 2:03Speaker 3: you about. Receiver. You get a flip there, big get
- 2:06Speaker 3: for l s U.
- 2:07Speaker 4: But and this is just me speculating you get three
- 2:11Speaker 4: dbs to sign back to back to back, some pretty
- 2:16Speaker 4: good sign maybe toward pointing towards Corey Raymond, Right.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Is this is this like were these guys that were
- 2:21Speaker 2: all DB's kind of like on the fence, because I
- 2:23Speaker 2: know yesterday was kind of like turmin like so much
- 2:26Speaker 2: second for I mean, I would think most of the
- 2:28Speaker 2: defensive people would have been the ones saying, hey, we're
- 2:30Speaker 2: gonna We're just gonna wait for a second, just to
- 2:32Speaker 2: see how it all plays out.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Is this any.
- 2:36Speaker 5: Wall it is about Blake too?
- 2:40Speaker 4: I feel like that's yeah, maybe for sure, Like I hope,
- 2:44Speaker 4: I hope for Blake again too, Like you just don't
- 2:46Speaker 4: need to hire that guy's bad guy red flags so ugly,
- 2:51Speaker 4: doesn't have no doesn't connect with the youth sleeves. This
- 2:57Speaker 4: can't hur a coach without.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Sleeves trying to show up the kids.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Yeah too much.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, like Claire Days.
- 3:08Speaker 3: True, Claire Days does be over. He always always.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Always froun always always like it's not that serious, Claire.
- 3:17Speaker 6: So you know how Anderson and Lamar Brown both delayed signing,
- 3:23Speaker 6: Like Aiden Hall and Richard Anderson, our teammates Edna car
- 3:27Speaker 6: So hopefully Aiden Hall is getting into his.
- 3:30Speaker 5: Head like all right, man, sign already, But I don't know.
- 3:34Speaker 6: It does make me feel good about Corey mostly, yeah,
- 3:36Speaker 6: me too.
- 3:37Speaker 2: And look, I don't know that you're going to get
- 3:40Speaker 2: everybody to stay, do you want to?
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yeah? You got relationships. And we know how important some
- 3:44Speaker 3: people are, certainly.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Maybe not even on the field, but off the field
- 3:48Speaker 4: and recruiting, right, but I do know Corey Raymond on
- 3:52Speaker 4: and off the field, it's very important, Like what he
- 3:55Speaker 4: does off the field for recruits, Like you got a
- 3:57Speaker 4: recruit from California saying, yeah, I'll be there if he
- 4:00Speaker 4: he's there, right, The job he's done with Monsieur Delaine,
- 4:03Speaker 4: the job he's done. I mean, we could go through
- 4:05Speaker 4: the list, but just on this team. DJ Pickett's a
- 4:07Speaker 4: true freshman. He's out there and of course he's a
- 4:10Speaker 4: talented kid, but he's here because of Corey Raymond. Right,
- 4:13Speaker 4: he's the next in line for an All American corner
- 4:16Speaker 4: at LSU.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So like that guy.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Being in place is as important as anybody, Like it's
- 4:24Speaker 4: it's Blake Baker, it's Corey Raymond, Like those are the
- 4:26Speaker 4: two guys right now, and.
- 4:27Speaker 2: We all know that here in Louisiana LSU people, and
- 4:30Speaker 2: I'm sure Lane knows that as well. But like, also,
- 4:32Speaker 2: he just got he just got here, like we like
- 4:35Speaker 2: you would expect a new coach, especially that's given all
- 4:37Speaker 2: the keys to the to the vehicle like he is,
- 4:40Speaker 2: like to the least, see, he still has to do
- 4:42Speaker 2: his due diligence right on Corey and Blake and and everybody.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Even though we already know as.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Fans, as followers of LSU, we know, like that's the
- 4:50Speaker 2: obvious choice.
- 4:50Speaker 3: You got it.
- 4:51Speaker 2: You gotta figure out a way to keep that guy
- 4:53Speaker 2: so but you but you also understand, like Lane's got
- 4:56Speaker 2: a he's got to at least talk with these guys
- 4:59Speaker 2: that figure out different because I'm sure this man right
- 5:01Speaker 2: here as being whoever his agent is getting a lot
- 5:05Speaker 2: of calls, right He's getting a lot of calls right
- 5:07Speaker 2: the second.
- 5:08Speaker 3: So there's there's that situation.
- 5:11Speaker 2: And you know, I'm sure everybody wants to improve their
- 5:14Speaker 2: contractual situation as well, just like everybody in life, improve
- 5:18Speaker 2: your standing. But we'll see, who's the kid from California
- 5:22Speaker 2: that his father said, uh.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and that one hasn't come in yet.
- 5:28Speaker 2: If that's a good sign, that's that's the best side.
- 5:32Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, say Dixon told us Sat that Hayven
- 5:34Speaker 2: finny quarterback. I guess California. Dad said, if Corey Aiman
- 5:37Speaker 2: is coaching, he will be there.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Again, I've seen him do it as a GA, the
- 5:44Speaker 4: lowest you can be on the coaching depth chart. He's
- 5:49Speaker 4: done it from that point back when he was with us.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Like you said, Okay, this guy's gonna be He's gonna
- 5:54Speaker 4: be special.
- 5:55Speaker 3: YEP.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I remember having those conversations and then like he just
- 5:58Speaker 4: continues to elevate, elevate, elevate, he leaves, goes to Florida,
- 6:01Speaker 4: and you felt it and you're getting back and now
- 6:03Speaker 4: you feel it in the good way because you get
- 6:06Speaker 4: Monsieur de Lane, you get DJ Pickett to play it
- 6:08Speaker 4: an incredibly you know, high level and it's not just
- 6:12Speaker 4: you know, it's not just a Corns. Like we talked
- 6:14Speaker 4: about what Jake Olsen's done, the safety's coach, what he did,
- 6:18Speaker 4: like Aj Halsey playing at a high level, Marcus Cooley playing.
- 6:21Speaker 3: At a high level.
- 6:22Speaker 4: So yeah, man, this this defensive staff can stay intact
- 6:25Speaker 4: right now with what you have on offense, be a
- 6:29Speaker 4: special run.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I got a big update, big recruiting update. Oh no,
- 6:33Speaker 2: it's disappointing.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Oh I'm kind of nervous about what you think you're
- 6:37Speaker 4: about to say.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Like I'm a little upset about it. All Right, we
- 6:40Speaker 2: got our first backward out picture.
- 6:42Speaker 3: No with Lane, No, not with Lane.
- 6:47Speaker 2: It's a recruit. They posted a picture. Look they were
- 6:49Speaker 2: with Lane was in the picture. Actually, Lane's not.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Throwing up an else where's the picture?
- 6:53Speaker 2: It's a shape posted it. It's it was a family
- 6:55Speaker 2: member of a signe. Because I'm gonna go with it's residual.
- 7:00Speaker 2: From the Brian Kelly, I don't want to speak for Lane,
- 7:02Speaker 2: but I think Lane should It is probably gonna he's not.
- 7:05Speaker 2: It doesn't seem like a back he looks like a
- 7:07Speaker 2: finger pistol. I don't think it's backwards out. I think
- 7:11Speaker 2: it's just residual backward ls right now from the Brian
- 7:14Speaker 2: care Mom's can do it no wrong? Yeah, I'll, but
- 7:18Speaker 2: I don't want it to be a trend. I don't
- 7:20Speaker 2: want this to continue. People recruits, families of recruits. Lane Kiffin,
- 7:26Speaker 2: you're listening. You hate this, So let's let's fire the
- 7:30Speaker 2: backward out with like, let it go with Brian Kelly,
- 7:32Speaker 2: give it a buy out if you need to.
- 7:34Speaker 3: So what do you wanted to do with their left arm?
- 7:35Speaker 3: Just do it backwards? Just don't do that. Just don't
- 7:37Speaker 3: do it.
- 7:38Speaker 2: But everybody's doing it. Blane's not doing it. Yeah, you
- 7:45Speaker 2: just you can go you can go backwards.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Why does it bother you so bad? Though? I just
- 7:54Speaker 3: don't know why. It's always it's bothered Matt.
- 7:57Speaker 4: The first time Brian Kelly did it, I'm gonna agree
- 8:00Speaker 4: chat with him. He's like, I can't get behind this guy.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Because he backward held. He got on a rotating turntable
- 8:05Speaker 2: and did the pulp fiction eye. He put kids in
- 8:08Speaker 2: a toy box when they signed, like there was some
- 8:11Speaker 2: cringey things and the backwards hell just stuck and stuck,
- 8:14Speaker 2: and uh it's gross. So like, let's just can I
- 8:19Speaker 2: want everyone to agree with me? So I'm just gonna
- 8:21Speaker 2: ask you can we agree that we're gonna let's cancel it.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I know, cancel. Culture is past. We're kind of past
- 8:26Speaker 2: canceled culture. Let's cancel the backward own that.
- 8:30Speaker 3: It doesn't affect me like it does you.
- 8:32Speaker 4: But since you are so passionate and you have that passion,
- 8:37Speaker 4: I'll get behind it with you.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 8:40Speaker 5: I think it's stupid, for sure, it's really dumb.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Don't do it. Just don't do it again. Mothers, can
- 8:48Speaker 2: you can do it. You can't do no wrong. So
- 8:51Speaker 2: if your son's size. But it's just it's just it's
- 8:54Speaker 2: residual backward els from Brian Carrett Kelly.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Here, let's get rid of it.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Retire it.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Yeah, buy out, it's going.
- 9:06Speaker 6: I haven't seen any updates about any other recruits or
- 9:10Speaker 6: any de commitments or anything.
- 9:12Speaker 2: So, by the way, when yeah, I don't know why
- 9:17Speaker 2: it's a thing where who started the L well like
- 9:20Speaker 2: which I have no idea. Usually it was the people
- 9:22Speaker 2: also the people that ran to pick up the boot
- 9:24Speaker 2: that started the L.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Clean jerseys. You never go you never went and picked
- 9:35Speaker 3: up the golden.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Bootb No, they'll clean jerseys. I think they started the L.
- 9:39Speaker 2: I don't know. Somebody actually was who texted us one
- 9:43Speaker 2: time when we were in the air talking about it.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Was it Bonnet that texted us that.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Started started track track or I think, so, gosh, that's
- 9:53Speaker 2: a good that's a good memory there you got.
- 9:55Speaker 3: I'm not really I know when it comes to names now,
- 9:58Speaker 3: it's not.
- 10:00Speaker 4: The track team started the L back in the nineteen nineties. Okay,
- 10:03Speaker 4: he said it took a while to catch home with football.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Got it well. Shout out to Michael Bannett.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I don't like the l but but I can live
- 10:13Speaker 2: with it. Backward owt, I can't live with someone in
- 10:16Speaker 2: the chat earlier we were talking. Obviously we were talking.
- 10:18Speaker 2: We were talking is about Blake Baker directly to the
- 10:21Speaker 2: two Lite people heat to two Lane only he hates football. Yes,
- 10:26Speaker 2: he hates football so much he wears a baseball cap.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Absolutely well, I've won the baseball She would rather.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Be a baseball player or a baseball coach than a
- 10:35Speaker 6: football coach.
- 10:36Speaker 5: Don't do it.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I remember.
- 10:38Speaker 4: So I started where I start wearing the same baseball
- 10:42Speaker 4: Mine was mostly because I've got a big ass head
- 10:45Speaker 4: and like those little like the one that got like
- 10:47Speaker 4: with the little tie in the back that you kind
- 10:49Speaker 4: of pulled it just like does fit, but it kind
- 10:52Speaker 4: of looks like a Yamaica on my head. So I
- 10:54Speaker 4: went with the baseball hat too, And I remember the
- 10:57Speaker 4: baseball equipment guy. Shout out to my guy Mango. He
- 10:59Speaker 4: was like, ah see, yeah, you got the baseball I
- 11:02Speaker 4: had here on the football sidelines. I was like yeah,
- 11:04Speaker 4: because Jay Johnson is a dog and when's championships. I'm
- 11:07Speaker 4: trying to bring some of that magic over here to
- 11:09Speaker 4: the grid Iron. It didn't work this year, but grit
- 11:12Speaker 4: loading like that.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Thank you? Did you just come up with something? Sure?
- 11:17Speaker 2: It did the grid Iron. Have you ever met a
- 11:20Speaker 2: fitted cap that fit you? I have, Yeah, like the
- 11:23Speaker 2: LSU baseball and yeah, they don't fit me. Seven and
- 11:25Speaker 2: three fourth, it's all about the snapbacks.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Well, it's a snap back that's special. That's a march.
- 11:33Speaker 4: Don't act like it's like just you're not going to
- 11:36Speaker 4: lids and grabbing the first hat that you see.
- 11:39Speaker 3: That's a snap back, and it's fitting down.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Of dollars at hat stores. People have wasted dollars, given
- 11:45Speaker 2: me free hats. I'm like, people give me free, give
- 11:49Speaker 2: it to me.
- 11:49Speaker 3: I feel so bad. There's people are given to you.
- 11:51Speaker 4: And then like this LSU special and I'm like, yeah,
- 11:53Speaker 4: it's going straight to the kids.
- 11:55Speaker 3: And Katie, here you go. Here's a new hat.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Going straight to my big plastic bin in my closet
- 11:59Speaker 2: that I hadn't opened.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Years. We're throwing new hats and hoarder.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Not really, it's like hats that either means something that
- 12:08Speaker 2: I actually keep.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Like uh AFC West Division champs.
- 12:12Speaker 3: That's as good as I've gotten everything else. I don't
- 12:15Speaker 3: have those.
- 12:18Speaker 6: Some kind of sad news from basketball. Did y'all see that?
- 12:23Speaker 5: Man?
- 12:23Speaker 6: This makes me so sad. I feel so bad for him.
- 12:26Speaker 6: So Jalen Reid is out for the season. He tore
- 12:28Speaker 6: his achilles versus drake, but he had just came back
- 12:32Speaker 6: from a season ending knee injury last seasonal so it
- 12:37Speaker 6: just sucks, like I just feel so good or so
- 12:39Speaker 6: bad for him, And like he's really good off the bench,
- 12:43Speaker 6: and he's a red shirt junior, so he can come
- 12:47Speaker 6: back next season if he wants, But it just sucks,
- 12:49Speaker 6: like I feel bad for him.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Yeah, man, you put that much time and effort into.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Like coming back, yeah.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Getting back on the court. And like we've all had injuries, right,
- 12:58Speaker 4: We've all had those ones that take three, five six
- 13:04Speaker 4: months to come back from. Remember having microfracture after my
- 13:07Speaker 4: rookie year, And it's just it's not fun. You want
- 13:10Speaker 4: to rehab every single day and it's all that you
- 13:12Speaker 4: really know, and you try to be yourself and you
- 13:14Speaker 4: can't be for a long time, and you got a
- 13:17Speaker 4: little hitching your get up and then you're a little
- 13:19Speaker 4: bit nervous. Man, if I'm doing this, am I gonna
- 13:22Speaker 4: do it again? And unfortunately for him that he does
- 13:25Speaker 4: and the basketball team as a whole, Like it's a
- 13:27Speaker 4: good win against Drake and you've got some good wins
- 13:30Speaker 4: and you beat the hell out of DePaul after that.
- 13:33Speaker 3: But yeah, because I.
- 13:34Speaker 5: Mean, I mean, he was giving you some really good
- 13:37Speaker 5: but he's.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Given you like eighteen to twenty two minutes off the bench.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Yeah, you know it is averaging fifty seven percent from
- 13:44Speaker 6: the field, twenty to thirty five, nine and a half
- 13:47Speaker 6: points per game, five and five point seven rebounds, So
- 13:51Speaker 6: it's a lot of production coming off the bench that
- 13:53Speaker 6: you're missing.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I can't even begin to understand what, like emotionally, what
- 13:59Speaker 2: he's doing one with right now, because of course we've
- 14:01Speaker 2: dealt with injuries, but certainly I don't I mean, a
- 14:04Speaker 2: season and an injury then you're coming back, Like how
- 14:06Speaker 2: much emotions that takes just to get back right in
- 14:09Speaker 2: the work and the effort and the time and not
- 14:12Speaker 2: only your time, but people, trainer's time, everything, and then
- 14:16Speaker 2: to do it again. I can I can't understand, but
- 14:18Speaker 2: I can certainly sympathize and uh, you know, Park goes.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Out to him.
- 14:22Speaker 5: Also just hit tight end.
- 14:24Speaker 6: J C. Anderson flipped from Ole Miss and signed with LSU, So.
- 14:28Speaker 4: That one is offishaw, not that he committed. Okay, that's
- 14:31Speaker 4: a going man. It's a you know, top ten sar
- 14:34Speaker 4: tight end. And let me tell you the tight end
- 14:38Speaker 4: is a position that Lane Kiffin is going to utilize.
- 14:40Speaker 4: And so you pair that with Trade eds Green obviously,
- 14:43Speaker 4: and you've got you know, pretty good tight in room.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Now you fell short there you get bat or Sharp
- 14:49Speaker 4: from Oklahoma. I think you were looking for more production
- 14:52Speaker 4: from him blocking and certainly as a receiver. So you know,
- 14:57Speaker 4: I would assume maybe even get an older player out
- 14:59Speaker 4: of the p You paid that with some young talent
- 15:02Speaker 4: and kind of a cheeko with trade is Green, and God,
- 15:05Speaker 4: I just giddy thinking about what they can do with.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Him compared to how he was utilized over the last
- 15:11Speaker 3: couple of months. I ain't never had anybody like him.
- 15:13Speaker 5: I can think of like Tradas, Yeah, not off the
- 15:17Speaker 5: top of my many.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Human in the earth, right, your only good play has
- 15:20Speaker 2: been the oop to you. It was popularized by Varsity Blues.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Where you put four receivers to one side and you
- 15:26Speaker 4: single up the other receiver and everybody kind of knows
- 15:29Speaker 4: the ball is going there.
- 15:29Speaker 3: And it hadn't matter because every point games Valistan. That's
- 15:35Speaker 3: what I said.
- 15:36Speaker 2: You know your varsity Blues b with the This was
- 15:40Speaker 2: posted five minutes ago. But our guy Shay go check
- 15:43Speaker 2: him out on Twitter with the additions. So this was
- 15:46Speaker 2: this was before the This was before I don't know,
- 15:49Speaker 2: you guys are the pros with the handles.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Uh, this is before the tight Ends came out.
- 15:53Speaker 2: The addition of four star receiver Corey Barber's LSU just
- 15:58Speaker 2: moved into the top ten on rivals.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Let's go on the recruiting class. Let's go, let's go.
- 16:03Speaker 3: So now we just got another four star added.
- 16:05Speaker 5: To it, right, Yeah, we flipped him earlier.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Okay, that's what's up. So to kind of tell you, like,
- 16:10Speaker 3: so if we're tight end J. C.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Anderson, if you go and you look at all the
- 16:14Speaker 4: other people that have signed, well they took you know,
- 16:17Speaker 4: the official visits, and they dressed in the uniform, and
- 16:19Speaker 4: so they've got the video with all the different looks
- 16:22Speaker 4: in the LSU uniform and this is just him and
- 16:26Speaker 4: like a mock up because like this was an Old
- 16:31Speaker 4: Miss commit like this he was going to Old Miss
- 16:34Speaker 4: and he follows this staff to LSU. So this was
- 16:37Speaker 4: somebody that he is coming to baton rouge because of
- 16:40Speaker 4: how much he enjoyed that staff there at Old Miss.
- 16:43Speaker 2: And we and we talked about this at the beginning
- 16:44Speaker 2: of the show. But like when you're when you were
- 16:47Speaker 2: a player out of high school or in a transfer
- 16:50Speaker 2: portal for that matter, and you were deciding to go
- 16:52Speaker 2: to a university to play football, like and you look
- 16:56Speaker 2: at all the reasons coaches, tradition, opponents, opportunity, depth chart,
- 17:02Speaker 2: the system that you're going into. Usually if you put
- 17:05Speaker 2: all that into a pie chart, the biggest slice of
- 17:07Speaker 2: pie is going to be coaches. Like you are going
- 17:09Speaker 2: there because you have a personal relationship with a coach,
- 17:12Speaker 2: you like the system that he runs. So the biggest
- 17:15Speaker 2: determining factor for most of these people is coaches. So
- 17:18Speaker 2: it is no surprise that there are flips that were
- 17:20Speaker 2: committed to Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin would flip to LSU.
- 17:24Speaker 2: And again in the same breath, there's no surprise that
- 17:27Speaker 2: people that were committed to LSU would be wait and
- 17:30Speaker 2: see for a little bit and that's why a little
- 17:32Speaker 2: bit of turmoil yesterday. But like this is these are
- 17:35Speaker 2: human beings making decisions, and they're gonna make the decision.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Like most the biggest slice of that pie, the biggest
- 17:41Speaker 2: reason people go somewhere is because of the coach. Like
- 17:45Speaker 2: you fall in love with the university like a little
- 17:46Speaker 2: bit afterwards, but the reason why you go through the
- 17:49Speaker 2: beginning is usually because of the coach.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Yeah, and there's more ole Miss coaches that have been
- 17:56Speaker 4: added to this staff over the last twenty four hours,
- 17:59Speaker 4: well officially, like Louis Spanos defensive analysts. I saw him
- 18:03Speaker 4: in the building yesterday. Dane Stevens going to be the
- 18:06Speaker 4: quarterback coach for the Tigers moving forward, and so not
- 18:10Speaker 4: a lot of defensive staff movement here now. Spanos was
- 18:14Speaker 4: a long time NFL coach coach for Washington when la
- 18:19Speaker 4: Ron Landry was there, Perry Riley was there for a
- 18:23Speaker 4: long time, so a lot of NFL experience, certainly a
- 18:27Speaker 4: lot of college experience too, but that's somebody who's been
- 18:29Speaker 4: on the coaching world for a very very long time.
- 18:31Speaker 4: And then Stevens comes over as a quarterbacks coach. So
- 18:33Speaker 4: the offensive staff yeah pretty much right is kind of
- 18:38Speaker 4: finalize you're looking obviously running back, but you've got inside
- 18:41Speaker 4: a receivers coach, you got a receivers coach, you got
- 18:44Speaker 4: a quarterback coach. So we'll see what it looks like
- 18:47Speaker 4: to kind of finalize the offensive staff. But really defense,
- 18:50Speaker 4: it's probably in the wait and see process for sure.
- 18:52Speaker 3: And understandably and right, yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 2: So but before right before you go back, I just
- 18:56Speaker 2: want to bring up one more thing. There's someone in
- 18:58Speaker 2: the chat saying national rankings are going to be different
- 19:01Speaker 2: rankings on different sites. So this guy says LSU's twelfth nationally.
- 19:04Speaker 2: He said, that's mid if we're being honest with ourselves.
- 19:07Speaker 2: But go back and listen to what Shaye Dixon told
- 19:09Speaker 2: us earlier in the show, Like the numbers are not there,
- 19:11Speaker 2: so the quantity of players aren't necessarily gonna be there.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I think he said, we're looking at about fifteen signings potentially,
- 19:19Speaker 2: but if you look at the average ranking of every player,
- 19:22Speaker 2: I think he said four star was like ninety percent,
- 19:24Speaker 2: ninety to ninety six or something like five stars or
- 19:27Speaker 2: ninety six or seven and above. If you look at
- 19:29Speaker 2: the average ranking, I believe he said LSU like per
- 19:32Speaker 2: signing is I think second in the country behind Organ.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Yeah, he said, average rating of player that signed with
- 19:39Speaker 4: you or is going to sign with you is second
- 19:41Speaker 4: in the country. So which quality over quantity like you
- 19:43Speaker 4: mentioned when we had Shay on there.
- 19:45Speaker 2: So that's going to affect the overall rankings that you're seeing.
- 19:48Speaker 2: So like for LSU to be in a top ten
- 19:49Speaker 2: with not that many signings is pretty substantial.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Yes, and then you're gonna leave some spots open the
- 19:57Speaker 4: air for the transfer portal as we all know. Yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 4: there's gonna be some real movement in the portal four LSU,
- 20:05Speaker 4: probably more than it's ever had before. Because look, that's
- 20:07Speaker 4: what you know, Lane Kiven's been really good at is
- 20:09Speaker 4: identifying talent.
- 20:10Speaker 3: And then you got twenty five million yep, got a.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Lot of money to play with there in the portal,
- 20:16Speaker 4: and like I want to see, like please, uh the
- 20:18Speaker 4: retention of your roster too, Like of players like Lane's
- 20:23Speaker 4: played Lshue every year he's been at ole Miss. He
- 20:26Speaker 4: knows these guys. He knows the ones that gave him
- 20:28Speaker 4: headaches when they were planning to play LSU. He knows
- 20:30Speaker 4: the ones that they were like, hey, we're gonna pick
- 20:31Speaker 4: on this guy. We're being honest with ourselves. Hey, we
- 20:34Speaker 4: were picking on this guy and we played LSU right,
- 20:36Speaker 4: he doesn't fit what we want to do.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Like, there's gonna be some of that too.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Right, wrong or indifferent. So there's gonna be a lot
- 20:41Speaker 4: of movement on the roster. There's no doubt about that.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean there's certainly gonna be those guys. I mean,
- 20:45Speaker 2: he got five losses this year, so that there's gonna
- 20:47Speaker 2: be gonna be changes made.
- 20:49Speaker 4: All right, we'll take a break. More OTB women. Come
- 20:52Speaker 4: back here live from the Raisin Gains studio.

- 22:29Speaker 7: it's off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Okay, little sixth grade Ridgewood Raiders Middle School dance. I
- 22:47Speaker 4: almost got out there to dance to this one. Almost
- 22:50Speaker 4: mm hmm.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Guys on one side of the basketball court or on
- 22:54Speaker 3: the other side, that's right, that's right.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I had been out there, moved my shoulders a little
- 23:01Speaker 2: bit had a couple of people that hit puberty early.
- 23:04Speaker 3: You know that I almost got out there.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Uh huh.
- 23:07Speaker 3: I'm not sure. Why are all the only the kids
- 23:09Speaker 3: in eighth grade with mustaches out there?
- 23:14Speaker 4: That was pre evangel We didn't have mustache? That was
- 23:17Speaker 4: Ridgiiddle school. Shout out to the Raiders. I'm not even
- 23:22Speaker 4: sure if that's still school anymore, but if it isn't,
- 23:24Speaker 4: it should be shout out, great Colors, Charge of Colors.
- 23:28Speaker 6: Did y'all see this Diego Pavia stuff that he asked
- 23:32Speaker 6: Trump to sign an executive order to expand the playoff
- 23:34Speaker 6: to sixteen teams per real?
- 23:37Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 23:38Speaker 3: Oh wow, I love it. I think they could pull
- 23:41Speaker 3: that in two weeks. I want Vandy to get in
- 23:44Speaker 3: so bad, but right now they're not. I know they're
- 23:46Speaker 3: going to need some help.
- 23:47Speaker 5: They're the first four out.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I know, it's Texas.
- 23:50Speaker 5: Texas is first four out.
- 23:51Speaker 6: It's Texas, Vandy, Utah, and USC Miami is in.
- 23:55Speaker 2: So like runner ups, if any team gets sick or anything,
- 23:59Speaker 2: they can fill in.
- 24:00Speaker 4: The quarterback gets hurt, like we've seen that before, head
- 24:04Speaker 4: coach leaves.
- 24:05Speaker 7: M hm.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Well they actually weren't affected by that at all. They're
- 24:09Speaker 5: still six yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Uh, because our head coach, in the goodness of his heart,
- 24:16Speaker 4: cinema offensive coordinator to save him.
- 24:18Speaker 6: Ye Carters petty ass was like, yeah, come on, like
- 24:25Speaker 6: he got on the plane too.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Oh miss yellowist one, Like Lane is so good, he's
- 24:32Speaker 3: so charitable.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Yeah, he's given you our offensive coordinator.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Who you want the tight ends coach calling plays you want? Wise? Yes? Wow,
- 24:42Speaker 3: yellows one, old man.
- 24:43Speaker 4: I don't know the Titans coach, but I'm just like
- 24:45Speaker 4: Matt said earlier, it's usually who we attack.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Didn't you imagine that guy walking back in the building
- 24:49Speaker 2: though awkward?
- 24:52Speaker 4: Yeah, and now his dad's been a head coach for
- 24:55Speaker 4: a long time, like he probably like.
- 24:57Speaker 2: And now you got like he knows the game players
- 24:59Speaker 2: from old MI now saying like, now what Lane said
- 25:01Speaker 2: is a lie. We actually didn't say we wanted him
- 25:04Speaker 2: to keep coaching.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't really care. I care about three lets
- 25:10Speaker 3: one school Wise were cool.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Uh, We're good. So A and M's offense coordinator. Reports
- 25:19Speaker 4: are he's going to go coach at Kansas State. Ohio
- 25:23Speaker 4: State's offense coordinator reports are he's going to go coach
- 25:26Speaker 4: at South Florida.
- 25:27Speaker 3: So like this coaching carousel is not over. That's Brian Hartline.
- 25:30Speaker 4: By the way, we played against him in the National
- 25:32Speaker 4: Championship Game. Do you remember that? Oh yeah, him and
- 25:36Speaker 4: Marcus Freeman. What position in Brian Hartline play receiver? Okay,
- 25:42Speaker 4: just making sure he played a long time in the NFL.
- 25:44Speaker 4: So if you didn't know from the NFL, not from
- 25:46Speaker 4: Ohio State, did you.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Know we played against him? I mean you're the quarterbacks.
- 25:50Speaker 3: I guess I did not know.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Okay, I knew it, like it was never a connecting
- 25:57Speaker 2: point when I saw him playing in the NFL.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Okay, when you think of that Ohio State team, first
- 26:02Speaker 3: name he thought of two? Laron Eis yeah and uh
- 26:10Speaker 3: Goldstan guy five pick. I don't know if he ever
- 26:16Speaker 3: had a career sack in the NFL top five like
- 26:21Speaker 3: off the bus team? Are you kidding?
- 26:24Speaker 2: No doubt Cardinal Stewart worked him relatively.
- 26:31Speaker 3: There's a couple of chips that I remember that game
- 26:34Speaker 3: we won. Uh yeah, Larry Nice was a dog.
- 26:37Speaker 6: How did Kentucky, who fired their coach after everybody else
- 26:41Speaker 6: did get a coach before Penn State Wild?
- 26:45Speaker 4: No one wants to dance talk like we talked about
- 26:47Speaker 4: like he's like, no, I played I played full back
- 26:49Speaker 4: at b y U.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I'm staying here.
- 26:52Speaker 6: That's wild because every like the reports were coming out
- 26:56Speaker 6: that they were closing in on a deal with him,
- 26:58Speaker 6: and then Byu is like.
- 26:59Speaker 4: So I know, look, b Yus been consistent. So it's
- 27:05Speaker 4: not like I'm hating on b YU, but like you're
- 27:08Speaker 4: Penn State and you can't convince the b YU coach to.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Come where are you doing? Where you going?
- 27:15Speaker 7: Well?
- 27:16Speaker 3: Is this in with Brian Kelly going to Penn State?
- 27:20Speaker 5: WILLI Fritz is being floated around?
- 27:22Speaker 3: Will he just got to Houston?
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm still confused about this day Ball situation because
- 27:25Speaker 2: he was like the lock as soon as he got fired.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Bless your Cassie.
- 27:31Speaker 4: What they really need you to fight down over there, Cassie,
- 27:33Speaker 4: real loud all day long.
- 27:37Speaker 6: Anyway, this is really funny, Like this Penn State stuff
- 27:40Speaker 6: is cracking me up.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Sucks.
- 27:42Speaker 5: It's like they were a big game hunting.
- 27:43Speaker 6: They went like after Signetti and Freeman they thought they were, and.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Then I kind of lost in this all too.
- 27:50Speaker 2: It's like, who's all miss King of sign Like are
- 27:52Speaker 2: they gonna just stick with Goldings?
- 27:54Speaker 6: It? Is? It?
- 27:55Speaker 3: Like, yeah, he's not on it? No, there's no.
- 27:59Speaker 5: He's the guy that feels like a panic bro.
- 28:02Speaker 3: I mean, come on, penny loafers, we'll see.
- 28:05Speaker 7: Wow.
- 28:06Speaker 3: It feels like there's not going to be any in between.
- 28:08Speaker 4: It's either going to be it's either going to be
- 28:10Speaker 4: successful or it's going to be Zach Arnett two point
- 28:14Speaker 4: zero at Mississippi State.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but you talked about it all getting off the
- 28:20Speaker 2: bus team yep.
- 28:22Speaker 3: How about with this new signing for LSU.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Did you check the stats on this?
- 28:27Speaker 2: This is from Shay. I'm just asking. I did not
- 28:30Speaker 2: check the stats on those. Yeah, for trusting Shay. Right,
- 28:33Speaker 2: we're checking the number eleven tight end in America who's
- 28:37Speaker 2: been committed all miss since July one has signed with
- 28:40Speaker 2: LSU and six foot seven, two hundred and forty pounds.
- 28:46Speaker 3: So yeah, you heard it right.
- 28:48Speaker 2: That means there's in the tight end room between two
- 28:51Speaker 2: guys the total of thirteen feet two inches.
- 28:53Speaker 3: There's two six foot seven guys. Yeah. You can do
- 28:57Speaker 3: this with your hands if you want.
- 28:58Speaker 5: I'm not doing it.
- 28:59Speaker 3: I'm not doing it now.
- 29:00Speaker 2: I did not fact check Shay on his measurables because
- 29:05Speaker 2: he wouldn't put it out there. But that's two guys
- 29:08Speaker 2: that I mean you're just looking at the size.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Good good lord, and again like he's got a great
- 29:15Speaker 4: plan with tight ends. Tight end was was an issue
- 29:18Speaker 4: in our game and that's how they closed out the game.
- 29:21Speaker 4: If you remember throwing the throwback to the tight end
- 29:24Speaker 4: coming across the formation there.
- 29:25Speaker 3: So that is that's a big deal. Literally, he's six
- 29:31Speaker 3: to seven is a very tall deal.
- 29:33Speaker 2: I'll drink of water drinking my high these guys. Can
- 29:38Speaker 2: you believe that these are cruit are about to get
- 29:39Speaker 2: their ants on? Like all you can drink my high?
- 29:41Speaker 2: Do you think that's that's probably part.
- 29:42Speaker 3: Of the cell.
- 29:44Speaker 6: Yeah, like you get my high if you come and
- 29:45Speaker 6: they're like sold as much as you want.
- 29:48Speaker 4: I mean, let me tell you something. The Texas A
- 29:51Speaker 4: and M linebacker was like he was a good interview,
- 29:55Speaker 4: but once he found out I had free my high
- 29:58Speaker 4: for him, it was his best friend. He loved me. Yeah,
- 30:02Speaker 4: I mean what I gave. I gave him a hat
- 30:04Speaker 4: and he's like he thought that was gold. And I'm like, man,
- 30:07Speaker 4: I don't know how much you make an nil and
- 30:09Speaker 4: this has making you really excited as.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Good as gold, buddy.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Perfect hydration performance enhancing Wait what yeah? Great hydration enhances
- 30:20Speaker 2: your performance. Oh okay, not a ped right.
- 30:26Speaker 3: There.
- 30:27Speaker 4: I mean you said performance enhancing, and I started thinking
- 30:30Speaker 4: like jose Cansenko, I wish you want you want jose
- 30:35Speaker 4: Can Sinko on the team. Oh yeah, you're a big
- 30:36Speaker 4: Rangers fans bombs.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Yeah, he was the.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Rangers all, you know, slow pitch softball team.
- 30:44Speaker 3: When we don't have Today's not the day. Today's not
- 30:48Speaker 3: the day, and we have to go.
- 30:49Speaker 4: But if you ever have a chance, go back and
- 30:52Speaker 4: listen to hanging with Hester the OG days like twenty eighteen,
- 30:56Speaker 4: we put together are starting nine slow pit so offtball
- 31:00Speaker 4: team and it.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Was elite, very I'm intrigued anyway.
- 31:05Speaker 2: From recruit standpoint, guys, LSU fans, when you think of
- 31:08Speaker 2: our tight end rim you can say it six seven.
- 31:13Speaker 5: I hate this so much.
- 31:14Speaker 3: I hate it, sorry, hate so much. I'm gonna go
- 31:16Speaker 3: to break more two.

- 32:21Speaker 3: Go check them out. Go Tommies dot com.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Again, Tigers turn Talkers. This is off the bench.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Take it easy elandra children are listening a.
- 32:54Speaker 5: Shouldn't they be in school right now?
- 32:56Speaker 4: Well, if they're sick, yeah, yeah, Well they're watching the Yeah.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I mean, if teachers actually want their kids to learn
- 33:02Speaker 2: something in school, maybe turn on new TV.
- 33:05Speaker 4: Uh So, one of the names to watch throughout the
- 33:09Speaker 4: day for a flip watch is going to be Landon Duckworth,
- 33:13Speaker 4: quarterback who's committed to South Carolina. Certainly one that Shay
- 33:16Speaker 4: put on everyone's radar this morning when he joined us,
- 33:19Speaker 4: And if you miss that, you can go back and
- 33:21Speaker 4: listen to it. Shaye Dixon joined us at seven point
- 33:23Speaker 4: fifteen this morning to give you.
- 33:25Speaker 3: All the latest and greatest.
- 33:26Speaker 4: When it comes to all the rumors and whispers in
- 33:30Speaker 4: the fong bombs as they call him over there on
- 33:32Speaker 4: on three Duckworth, you say, yeah, quite quick, quiet, there's
- 33:36Speaker 4: a lot of possibilities and apparently like he goes by Duck,
- 33:39Speaker 4: which I don't m.
- 33:42Speaker 3: For a quarterback.
- 33:44Speaker 5: I like it, like Duck Hodges. I mean, I guess
- 33:47Speaker 5: he wasn't right, but.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Like you don't want to throw ducks, but it could work.
- 33:55Speaker 2: It could work, okay, because like there's some names that
- 33:58Speaker 2: just go yeah like Duck.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Well, yeah for sure. And I'm saying, like, but you
- 34:03Speaker 2: don't want to throw a duck. Yeah, that's true. Like
- 34:05Speaker 2: Quentin Jammer being a corner that was elite. That's pretty good.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Like the new strength coach Nick Savage being a strength coach.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Yeah pretty good.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:15Speaker 2: You see you can see him walking around going like
- 34:16Speaker 2: like this, right, a little duck back.
- 34:19Speaker 5: He runs for a touchdown and he's in the ends and.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Like this, okay, all right, all right, you're selling me.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Get ducked up, quack quack, get ducked up, get ducked up. Okay,
- 34:28Speaker 3: yeah kind of like that.
- 34:29Speaker 5: All right, I like it, know you this bomb, don't duck.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, I'm reaching.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Yeah, we're hey, all these Cassie, great idea, All these
- 34:40Speaker 2: ideas are great ideas. Giled it carefull, we put it
- 34:45Speaker 2: up like all the fine v I think I don't
- 34:50Speaker 2: want to put words in his mouth, but I'm sure
- 34:51Speaker 2: he would do that. And then we were looking it
- 34:54Speaker 2: up the antagonist and the Mighty Ducks. His name was
- 34:56Speaker 2: do you remember his name Duckworth, Mister Duckworth, Gerald Duckworth.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Yeah, who created the team sponsored the thing.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Inside the game Cocks, which obviously covered South Carolina. It
- 35:10Speaker 4: just put out a tweet a minute ago. Landen Duckworth,
- 35:12Speaker 4: four star quarterback, who has been committed to South Carolina
- 35:16Speaker 4: twice in the process, is set to flip to LSU
- 35:20Speaker 4: Accord two sources.
- 35:22Speaker 3: He's been committed twice to them. Didn't sound like a
- 35:25Speaker 3: very good commitment, soft launch. That's fair, right.
- 35:33Speaker 4: The relationship never went official. It was never a social
- 35:36Speaker 4: media official.
- 35:37Speaker 5: They were in the talking stage.
- 35:38Speaker 4: They were and then South Carolina thought they were there.
- 35:42Speaker 5: Yeah, but they never DTRD.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:45Speaker 2: You know what, I got a question for you, you can
- 35:46Speaker 2: answer this, okay. So I've always like people. There's conversations
- 35:50Speaker 2: in life that you have to have with people, whether
- 35:52Speaker 2: it's like a breakup or you have to fire somebody
- 35:55Speaker 2: or like there's hard conversations with all dread having right
- 35:59Speaker 2: making that pull, seeing that person face to face, whatever
- 36:02Speaker 2: it is like in your nervous about your palms are sweaty, Like.
- 36:07Speaker 3: When you d commit.
- 36:09Speaker 2: To somebody, I get a oh when you commit, you
- 36:12Speaker 2: de commit somewhere. It's one of those conversations. So you
- 36:15Speaker 2: were committed to Texas long time to prove it? What
- 36:20Speaker 2: was that conversation like when you called Texas who did
- 36:22Speaker 2: you call? What did that conversation like? Was it like
- 36:25Speaker 2: pretty matter of fact? Like how did he go?
- 36:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, my parents are gonna make me do
- 36:30Speaker 4: what you should, Like they're not calling and starting intro
- 36:34Speaker 4: and you're like, yeah, yeah, hey, hey, we got Jacob
- 36:35Speaker 4: on the phone. Yeah no, uh yeah. Talked to Mack Brown.
- 36:39Speaker 4: He was fantastic. He understood. It was not a hard thought. Now,
- 36:44Speaker 4: was I, as a eighteen year old nervous?
- 36:47Speaker 3: Is you know what? Absolutely? I'm calling the head coach
- 36:49Speaker 3: of Texas.
- 36:51Speaker 4: You know, I've been committed here for a long time,
- 36:55Speaker 4: but you know that offer, like I was really kind
- 36:57Speaker 4: of like banking on and hoping to get I got it.
- 37:01Speaker 4: And Coach Saban is my primary recruiter, I see. The
- 37:04Speaker 4: only person I talked to like Kirk Dall because he
- 37:06Speaker 4: had the territory and Kirk was great, still live in
- 37:09Speaker 4: batter Rouche, but like it was Coach Saban and like
- 37:13Speaker 4: as soon as he like laid out the plan and
- 37:15Speaker 4: told me what he thought I was going to be,
- 37:17Speaker 4: Like I called Mac Brown, I'm my hey, coach. I
- 37:20Speaker 4: appreciate y'all. Y'all were one of the first teams to
- 37:22Speaker 4: offer me a scholarship. I know a lot of guys
- 37:24Speaker 4: from my high school have gone to Texas. There's a
- 37:26Speaker 4: pipeline there, and I appreciate you thinking I'm good enough
- 37:29Speaker 4: to play there, but I got my dream team to
- 37:33Speaker 4: offer me and LSU just offered and Coach saban pretty much.
- 37:38Speaker 4: I mean, look, it was late in the praise, like, hey,
- 37:40Speaker 4: are you coming or not? Right, like we need we
- 37:42Speaker 4: need to know. Don't have a lot of clout right,
- 37:45Speaker 4: so like, I mean, he wanted me, but he's like, hey,
- 37:47Speaker 4: like we got to move on. If not, it's like
- 37:49Speaker 4: I've been saving the scholarship with you in mine. So
- 37:51Speaker 4: I called him and said, hey, they offered, and I
- 37:53Speaker 4: said I cannot not go to LSU.
- 37:56Speaker 3: It's like I've been, you know, dreaming of going LSU.
- 37:59Speaker 3: And he was rate. He goes man, he said, I
- 38:01Speaker 3: hope they wouldn't. I knew they would.
- 38:04Speaker 4: It was like the thing he said, and he's like,
- 38:07Speaker 4: I knew that we had you over everybody but l
- 38:09Speaker 4: s U. And uh, he said, I knew if they happened. Yeah,
- 38:12Speaker 4: He's like, I knew if that happened that it would
- 38:14Speaker 4: be tough to hold on to you.
- 38:16Speaker 3: But he's like, we appreciate you.
- 38:17Speaker 4: If for whatever reason in the future something doesn't work out,
- 38:21Speaker 4: call me now. Every time I interviewed Matt Brown on
- 38:24Speaker 4: Serious XM, he starts with you let me down right, But.
- 38:31Speaker 3: He was surprised me about him. Yeah, he was great.
- 38:33Speaker 3: If it was another guy with situation.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Is probably like the easiest situation because it wasn't you
- 38:38Speaker 2: were an out of state guy like the ind state
- 38:40Speaker 2: guy did it.
- 38:41Speaker 3: And I'm sure it's a little bit harder too because they.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Honestly, he probably thought Adrian Peterson was coming there too,
- 38:45Speaker 4: if I'm being honest and so, like, look, I've got
- 38:48Speaker 4: a lot of confidence in myself.
- 38:49Speaker 3: I was a good player.
- 38:51Speaker 4: I wasn't a distant cousin relative to what Adrian Peterson was, right,
- 38:54Speaker 4: so he probably thought that.
- 38:56Speaker 2: And I thought it was I thought it was a
- 38:57Speaker 2: little bit hard too, because like and this is I know,
- 38:59Speaker 2: we make fun of it a lot and make fun
- 39:01Speaker 2: of you a lot on this but as like a
- 39:03Speaker 2: two star guy, like I'm sure they were the first,
- 39:06Speaker 2: like big, big school blue blood to believe in you
- 39:08Speaker 2: and reach out to make that make that I mean,
- 39:11Speaker 2: you writ.
- 39:12Speaker 4: Anybody's a risk, but like maybe the Texas offer because
- 39:16Speaker 4: my offer list didn't match up.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I didn't get a Texas offer, a just sign Vince Young.
- 39:21Speaker 2: That was a big one growing up in Texas. Like, yeah,
- 39:23Speaker 2: they offered you, like everybody was.
- 39:25Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's a little different now, but like my
- 39:28Speaker 4: offer list didn't match my stars. But once I got
- 39:31Speaker 4: the Texas offer, then here came Notre Dame, here came,
- 39:34Speaker 4: and here came you know whoever started to come in.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Yeah for sure. So yeah it was Texas for sure.
- 39:40Speaker 4: They kind of got the process started.
- 39:41Speaker 2: So when we talked about this kid, Duckworth Land and
- 39:45Speaker 2: Duckworth was committed two commitments to South Carolina. That second
- 39:51Speaker 2: one probably a little tough break up with the same
- 39:55Speaker 2: girl twice. Yeah, but I'm sure some are like harder
- 40:01Speaker 2: than others, right, like say, like yours is probably the
- 40:02Speaker 2: easiest type conversation, like out of state guide the in
- 40:05Speaker 2: state school offered. They understand that, but some of them,
- 40:08Speaker 2: I'm sure some of these coaches make it tough. Like
- 40:11Speaker 2: I remember the Baylor coach at the time, like telling
- 40:13Speaker 2: my death and my dad played a Baylor.
- 40:15Speaker 3: My family went to Baylor. I grew up at Baylor.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Gays like Guy Morris, he has just been hired. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 40:20Speaker 2: He was like in our house, our home, basically telling
- 40:24Speaker 2: my dad like I don't see why you're gonna let
- 40:27Speaker 2: your son go to LSU, Like why wouldn't.
- 40:29Speaker 3: You send them to Baylor? Oh? It was like that.
- 40:31Speaker 2: It was like that, oh wow, yeah, I'm glad to
- 40:34Speaker 2: have Mac to call on that guy. Like, and I
- 40:36Speaker 2: was never committed to Baylor. It was like, why would
- 40:40Speaker 2: you sound like you're gonna let him go to Baton
- 40:41Speaker 2: Rouge the debauchery.
- 40:46Speaker 3: My dad was like, uh, yeah, you can go ahead.
- 40:47Speaker 2: And like I'm like a booster at LSU, like I
- 40:50Speaker 2: do everything for the alumni, like lay there, but you
- 40:52Speaker 2: can Baylor. Yeah, I'm a big like do anything to
- 40:55Speaker 2: support Baylor. But like you can go ahead and see
- 40:57Speaker 2: yourself on out of here. Yeah, you put those ribs.
- 41:00Speaker 2: I can't play that Ruth prepared for you and you
- 41:02Speaker 2: get the hell out of my house.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Save my wife's name, right. Yeah. And I think Cose
- 41:10Speaker 3: was so good at recruiting.
- 41:11Speaker 4: I could I could tell a coach saving recruiting stories
- 41:13Speaker 4: and how basically he was like, yeah, you're not going
- 41:16Speaker 4: to Texas, You're going to LSU, Yes, sir, Okay, that's
- 41:20Speaker 4: all right, I won't tell you about Rouses and Rosses
- 41:23Speaker 4: dot com.

- 42:35Speaker 4: I run out in their backyard and I'm like on
- 42:37Speaker 4: the diving board talking to him, like just sitting there
- 42:41Speaker 4: on a diving board in the pool, and like when
- 42:44Speaker 4: he offered me, and basically like it's like go ahead
- 42:46Speaker 4: and call back.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Right, there's a yes, chef. How'd you get the landline
- 42:50Speaker 3: so far out that I was? WHOA, I had a
