Anderson Cooper Presses Bill Gates on Epstein’s Alleged Blackmail Attempt (8/27/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Bill Gates was on the Anderson Cooper show
• 0:09
Speaker 1: on CNN, and of course, Anderson Cooper asked him about
• 0:13
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and the shitshow surrounding their relationship. And as
• 0:18
Speaker 1: you can imagine, it went exactly as you would expect,
• 0:23
Speaker 1: considering Bill Gates is not exactly happy about people asking
• 0:26
Speaker 1: these questions. And of course, my response to that is, well...
• 0:30
Speaker 1: Why'd you hang out with Epstein in the first place then, stupid?
• 0:34
Speaker 1: And then not only that, but lie about it. That's
• 0:38
Speaker 1: the big problem for Bill Gates, as far as I
• 0:40
Speaker 1: can see it. He lied about that relationship for years.
• 0:43
Speaker 1: And then when he was finally outed, when the emails
• 0:46
Speaker 1: and the evidence were finally provided, bro's like, oh, my bad. Yeah,
• 0:50
Speaker 1: that really happened. I was just, you know, I was
• 0:52
Speaker 1: just testing you guys to make sure you knew the story.
• 0:56
Speaker 1: That's how absurd it is. And every time Bill Gates
• 0:59
Speaker 1: opens his mouth about Jeffrey Epstein, that hole that he's
• 1:02
Speaker 1: in gets deeper. So today we have an article from
• 1:05
Speaker 1: the Daily Beast and the headline, CNN host corners Bill
• 1:09
Speaker 1: Gates on Epstein blackmail scandal. This article was authored by
• 1:13
Speaker 1: Cameron Adams. Beleaguered billionaire Bill Gates has been grilled over
• 1:18
Speaker 1: claims that he was targeted for blackmail by child sex
• 1:21
Speaker 1: offender Jeffrey Epstein. I think we let Bill Gates off
• 1:25
Speaker 1: the hook if we give him that excuse. Was there
• 1:28
Speaker 1: some blackmail involved? Probably. Should Bill Gates be able to
• 1:32
Speaker 1: figure out what's what? Most definitely. Well, you don't think
• 1:36
Speaker 1: he has a security team? He doesn't have the money
• 1:39
Speaker 1: to access the best people in the world? People that
• 1:42
Speaker 1: definitely told him the kind of person that Epstein was.
• 1:46
Speaker 1: And you know that Bill Gates, thinking that he's the
• 1:48
Speaker 1: smartest man in the room, didn't give one single shit
• 1:51
Speaker 1: and continued on with that dumbass relationship with Jeffrey Epsteins.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: So don't cry to us now about your reputation, stupid. Gates, 70,
• 1:59
Speaker 1: was mired in controversy after appearing in the Epstein case files.
• 2:03
Speaker 1: Among the documents released by the Department of Justice were
• 2:06
Speaker 1: photos of Gates posing with the late financier, pedophile, as
• 2:09
Speaker 1: well as email correspondence between the two men. And we
• 2:13
Speaker 1: didn't need the Epstein files to tell us this. We knew.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: You knew too, Daily Beast. You chose to ignore it.
• 2:20
Speaker 1: You chose not to pursue the story as hard as
• 2:23
Speaker 1: you should have. Now, there were some people at the
• 2:25
Speaker 1: Daily Beast that were good, Kate Bricklett especially. But everything
• 2:31
Speaker 1: they were doing was basically painted in a partisan tint.
• 2:37
Speaker 1: And obviously, you can't get to the bottom of this
• 2:38
Speaker 1: shit if you're only looking under one person's mattress. The
• 2:45
Speaker 1: Microsoft co-founder was probed by the House Oversight Committee in
• 2:47
Speaker 1: June over his links to Epstein. whom he met with
• 2:51
Speaker 1: around 30 times between 2011 and 2014. Now go back
• 2:56
Speaker 1: to the original narrative from Bill Gates, telling us that
• 3:00
Speaker 1: he only met Epstein, what, two, three times? Only for
• 3:04
Speaker 1: us to find out, it was around 30 times. And
• 3:08
Speaker 1: I'm sure that's all you guys talked about, malaria, and
• 3:11
Speaker 1: helping other people, and altruistic dealings, when the truth is,
• 3:16
Speaker 1: people like Bill Gates want nothing more than to keep
• 3:19
Speaker 1: people like us under his thumb. So they can wrap
• 3:22
Speaker 1: themselves in as much armor as they want when it
• 3:24
Speaker 1: comes to their philanthropy, but that doesn't mean shit to me.
• 3:28
Speaker 1: Give away as much money as you want. Get involved
• 3:30
Speaker 1: in whatever cause you want. None of it makes up
• 3:32
Speaker 1: for the shit you've done with your buddy Jeffrey Epstein.
• 3:35
Speaker 1: None of it. In 2008, Epstein pleaded in Florida to
• 3:39
Speaker 1: state charges of soliciting a prostitute and procuring a minor
• 3:42
Speaker 1: for prostitution. He died in jail in 2019. Well, at
• 3:47
Speaker 1: least they say he died in jail. because I don't
• 3:50
Speaker 1: know if he committed suicide, and I think that the
• 3:52
Speaker 1: majority of people out there feel the same way. Now,
• 3:56
Speaker 1: that doesn't mean that he could not have committed suicide.
• 3:59
Speaker 1: Very possible. Crazy shit happens in prison and in jail
• 4:02
Speaker 1: all the time. But when you look at all the factors,
• 4:06
Speaker 1: and everything that led up to it, I have a
• 4:09
Speaker 1: real hard time buying the narrative. And I'm not impressed
• 4:13
Speaker 1: with the evidence that they've provided. So, until we have
• 4:16
Speaker 1: a special counsel... who gets to look at all of
• 4:19
Speaker 1: this and has the power to not only subpoena, but
• 4:23
Speaker 1: to indict, then I just don't believe what they're telling me.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: And for me, that's the standard. That's where the goalposts
• 4:29
Speaker 1: have always been. A robust investigation that's not handcuffed by
• 4:34
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's ties and the people that were protecting him.
• 4:38
Speaker 1: And until that occurs, me and my big mouth are
• 4:40
Speaker 1: going to be here yapping. Gates appeared on Anderson Cooper
• 4:43
Speaker 1: 360 on Wednesday to share his concerns about the AI industry.
• 4:47
Speaker 1: and opening up about the possible risks of technology. However,
• 4:52
Speaker 1: Cooper ended the interview by asking Gates about his connection
• 4:55
Speaker 1: to Epstein, noting it was his first television appearance since
• 4:59
Speaker 1: his behind-closed-doors grilling by the House Oversight Committee. And look,
• 5:04
Speaker 1: any interview he has, people are going to ask these questions. Now,
• 5:09
Speaker 1: he might stipulate before going to the interview that he's
• 5:12
Speaker 1: not going to answer questions about it, and any outlet
• 5:16
Speaker 1: that allows that, is straight trash. Because if you come
• 5:20
Speaker 1: on my show, you better believe I'm going to ask
• 5:22
Speaker 1: you whatever I want. And if you don't like it,
• 5:25
Speaker 1: you can leave. Any host or program that lets the
• 5:28
Speaker 1: person that's coming onto the program set the terms is
• 5:31
Speaker 1: not somebody you should trust. The CNN host asked Gates
• 5:38
Speaker 1: about the series of graphic, unverified allegations Epstein reportedly made
• 5:42
Speaker 1: in draft emails from 2013 that were never sent. Now
• 5:46
Speaker 1: Bill Gates denies all of that. Says that Epstein was
• 5:49
Speaker 1: just doing Epstein shit and making notes to himself. I
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: don't know if I believe that. Now I can't sit
• 5:56
Speaker 1: here and tell you with certainty what went down because
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: I wasn't there. But I have a few opinions and
• 6:03
Speaker 1: none of them are favorable to Bill Gates. And listen,
• 6:06
Speaker 1: I'm not telling you that Bill Gates was involved in
• 6:08
Speaker 1: the abuse. I've never seen that. It's the enabling. It's
• 6:12
Speaker 1: the rebuilding of Jeffrey Epstein's image. And if they were
• 6:16
Speaker 1: engaged in any financial deals, then financial malfeasance. But I'm
• 6:21
Speaker 1: not going to sit here and tell you that Bill
• 6:23
Speaker 1: Gates was, you know, up to no good when it
• 6:26
Speaker 1: comes to the girls. I will say that about Jeff
• 6:28
Speaker 1: Staley because we have documented evidence of it. I'll say
• 6:34
Speaker 1: it about Les Wexner because I believe what Virginia told me.
• 6:37
Speaker 1: And the same goes for Bill Richardson and George Mitchell.
• 6:41
Speaker 1: I believe what Virginia said. Now, when it comes to
• 6:44
Speaker 1: Bill Gates, we have no evidence of any of that.
• 6:47
Speaker 1: What we do have evidence of is him enabling Jeffrey
• 6:49
Speaker 1: Epstein and lying about that relationship. And that's what he
• 6:53
Speaker 1: should be held accountable for. And if he was engaged
• 6:55
Speaker 1: in any financial project, then financial malfeasance, if there was some,
• 7:00
Speaker 1: is something he could be, could be, held criminally responsible for. Now,
• 7:05
Speaker 1: I don't have the spreadsheets, the financials to back that up.
• 7:09
Speaker 1: But what I'm saying is if, if, if, anybody that
• 7:13
Speaker 1: was engaged in any kind of financial dealings with Epstein,
• 7:16
Speaker 1: there's a chance that they were receiving ill-gotten gains. And
• 7:20
Speaker 1: if they were receiving money that was made in the
• 7:23
Speaker 1: commission of a crime, then they're part of the conspiracy.
• 7:27
Speaker 1: The billionaire previously admitted to having extramarital affairs with two
• 7:31
Speaker 1: Russian women, but Epstein's draft emails alleged he had contracted
• 7:35
Speaker 1: an STD from the woman, and wanted antibiotics to give
• 7:38
Speaker 1: to his then-wife, Melinda Gates. Gates previously said the sordid
• 7:42
Speaker 1: allegations in the unsent emails were false. And look, they
• 7:45
Speaker 1: might have been. I'm not going to tell you that
• 7:48
Speaker 1: that's true. We know Epstein was a notorious liar. But
• 7:52
Speaker 1: why would Bill Gates put himself in that position in
• 7:54
Speaker 1: the first place? That's the question everybody should ask. The
• 7:58
Speaker 1: so-called smartest man in the room, huh? Okay, I guess.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: Talk about the fucking blue screen of death. It sounded
• 8:05
Speaker 1: like he was trying to blackmail you, Cooper asked, of
• 8:07
Speaker 1: the contents of the draft emails, adding, were you aware
• 8:10
Speaker 1: he was trying to do that? No, Gates said firmly,
• 8:13
Speaker 1: pointing out how complicated the several hundred pages of testimony was.
• 8:17
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, super complicated, Billy boy. Super complicated. Your bitch
• 8:23
Speaker 1: ass was either dog locked or you were complicit, one
• 8:26
Speaker 1: or the other, and neither looks good for you. And
• 8:29
Speaker 1: if I was an investor, I wouldn't be giving you
• 8:32
Speaker 1: one single cent, not one. I didn't know that he
• 8:37
Speaker 1: was considering blackmailing me. He never did blackmail me. But
• 8:40
Speaker 1: you know, it just shows how foolish I was to
• 8:42
Speaker 1: spend time with him, Gates said. Just a mistake. Just
• 8:46
  Speaker 1: a mistake, guys. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. Everything's
• 8:50
Speaker 1: all good. Has this guy been experimenting on himself with
• 8:53
Speaker 1: some of these vaccines or something? I mean, he has
• 8:56
Speaker 1: to be brain dead to think that anybody is going
• 8:57
Speaker 1: to believe the bullshit he's pumping. He also told Cooper
• 9:02
Speaker 1: that he really appreciated the opportunity to answer the House
• 9:05
Speaker 1: Oversight Committee's questions about Epstein. Oh yeah, yeah, you should
• 9:09
Speaker 1: have answered those questions a long time ago. Then you
• 9:11
Speaker 1: wouldn't have had to be in front of Congress and
• 9:14
Speaker 1: we could have alleviated all this nonsense. But no, instead
• 9:17
Speaker 1: he had to lie about that relationship and tell a
• 9:20
Speaker 1: bunch of tall tales for literally half a decade or more.
• 9:26
Speaker 1: I went through every single meeting, every single email. I
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: didn't have a social relationship. I didn't meet any women
• 9:31
Speaker 1: through him, Gates said, noting all the content from the
• 9:35
Speaker 1: committee is public if people were curious. Oh, don't worry.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: We read it already. And you didn't come out looking good,
• 9:41
Speaker 1: Billy boy. Now, I know other people might not have
• 9:44
Speaker 1: read the whole transcript. A little too much work for
• 9:47
Speaker 1: some people. But around these parts, we read it all.
• 9:51
Speaker 1: And we also read your responses. So if you have
• 9:54
Speaker 1: something you want to say on the record, we'll put
• 9:56
Speaker 1: it into the catalog. But the truth is, reading that
• 10:00
Speaker 1: testimony doesn't do Bill Gates any favors, at least in
• 10:04
Speaker 1: my opinion. He added, of spending time with Epstein, I
• 10:10
Speaker 1: had misguided view that he could facilitate my raising philanthropic
• 10:13
Speaker 1: funds for global health. It was a gigantic mistake, which
• 10:17
Speaker 1: I talked about in my testimony. And I've really learned
• 10:19
Speaker 1: from that. You know, I'm very apologetic that I gave
• 10:22
Speaker 1: him any credibility at all. Has Bill Gates called any
• 10:25
Speaker 1: of the survivors and offered to set up a fund
• 10:28
Speaker 1: for them? Hey, look, I'm so sorry about what happened
• 10:31
Speaker 1: to you. And I'm sorry about the part I played. Now,
• 10:34
  Speaker 1: I know I didn't abuse any of you and I didn't,
• 10:36
Speaker 1: you know, hurt you in that way. But I'm sorry
• 10:39
Speaker 1: that I enabled Jeffrey Epstein. And I want to make
• 10:41
Speaker 1: it right. Is there anything I can do for any
• 10:43
Speaker 1: of you? I mean, if you're really sorry and you
• 10:45
Speaker 1: want to help out, that's what I would do. I
• 10:48
Speaker 1: would reach out to their lawyers and I'd say, look,
• 10:50
Speaker 1: I know that these women are going through it. And
• 10:53
Speaker 1: if any of them need any help whatsoever financially, reach
• 10:57
Speaker 1: out to me. I'm putting together a fund. Call it
• 11:00
Speaker 1: the Bill Gates Cares Fund, whatever it might be. But
• 11:03
Speaker 1: they haven't done shit. All they do is lie and
• 11:05
Speaker 1: conceal and obfuscate. So if you want to care about
• 11:08
Speaker 1: Bill Gates's reputation, go right the fuck ahead. But I don't.
• 11:11
Speaker 1: Gates said he was clear with the committee about what
• 11:14
Speaker 1: I did do and being very clear what I did not.
• 11:17
Speaker 1: In his prepared opening statement for the committee in June,
• 11:20
Speaker 1: Gates admitted Epstein had become aware of sensitive information about
• 11:24
Speaker 1: my personal life, including the fact that I had been
• 11:27
Speaker 1: unfaithful in my marriage. These affairs had nothing to do
• 11:31
Speaker 1: with my interaction with Epstein, but they were painful for
• 11:34
Speaker 1: my family. As the public can now see, based on
• 11:37
Speaker 1: what has been released in the files, Epstein was working
• 11:40
Speaker 1: to use information about my infidelities in addition to many
• 11:44
Speaker 1: lies that he layered on top. to pressure me to
• 11:47
Speaker 1: re-engage with him, he said in a statement. So is
• 11:50
Speaker 1: that blackmail or is it not? It most certainly is.
• 11:54
Speaker 1: So can we stop with the bullshit that Epstein wasn't
• 11:56
Speaker 1: blackmailing people? He was unsuccessful in this effort, but it
• 12:01
Speaker 1: shows some of the ways he tried to leverage his
• 12:03
Speaker 1: interaction with me to further his agenda, Gates continued. Gates
• 12:08
Speaker 1: said that he never witnessed or had any indication that
• 12:10
Speaker 1: Epstein was engaging in ongoing criminal conduct. The tech mogul
• 12:15
Speaker 1: also said, He never went to the pedophile's island, ranch,
• 12:18
Speaker 1: or Florida home, and had never witnessed any abuse. Now look,
• 12:22
Speaker 1: I believe that. If you want the truth, I believe
• 12:25
Speaker 1: that Bill Gates didn't see any abuse, okay? Just like
• 12:29
Speaker 1: I believe that Bill Clinton didn't see any abuse. Does
• 12:32
Speaker 1: that mean they didn't see anything? That's debatable. But I
• 12:36
Speaker 1: don't think they walked in on Epstein having relations with
• 12:39
Speaker 1: a bunch of young girls. I certainly don't believe that.
• 12:42
Speaker 1: What I do believe, though, is that they knew. Maybe
• 12:45
Speaker 1: not from first-hand knowledge, but they heard. People talk. And
• 12:50
Speaker 1: when you're that close to somebody, they talk. He told
• 12:56
Speaker 1: an Australian TV network in February his dealings with Epstein
• 12:59
Speaker 1: were always based on using him to access his contacts.
• 13:03
Speaker 1: The focus was always, he knew, a lot of very
• 13:05
Speaker 1: rich people. And he was saying he could get them
• 13:08
Speaker 1: to give me money to global health, Epstein said. Bill Gates,
• 13:12
Speaker 1: you don't know a bunch of rich people? Epstein knows
• 13:14
Speaker 1: more rich people than Bill fucking Gates? Sure, and I'm
• 13:17
Speaker 1: the Sultan of Brunei. Everybody should come over for a
• 13:20
Speaker 1: pool party. Oh wait, that's only when Bill Clinton's in town.
• 13:26
Speaker 1: He also addressed the unsent emails at the time, saying
• 13:28
Speaker 1: apparently Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. Ah, that email
• 13:31
Speaker 1: was never sent. The email is, you know, false. Was
• 13:34
Speaker 1: he trying to attack me in some way? It just
• 13:37
Speaker 1: reminds me every minute I spent with him I regret.
• 13:40
Speaker 1: And I, you know, apologize that I did that. well,
• 13:43
Speaker 1: the apology isn't enough. How many people were hurt? How
• 13:46
Speaker 1: many people were abused? Because you enabled this son of
• 13:49
Speaker 1: a bitch. His ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, 61, spoke to
• 13:54
Speaker 1: NPR host Rachel Martin in February, where she spoke of
• 13:58
Speaker 1: her unbelievable sadness at her husband's links, Dabstein. French Gates
• 14:03
Speaker 1: and Gates divorced in 2021 after 27 years of marriage,
• 14:07
Speaker 1: and she spoke about painful times in the relationship, adding,
• 14:11
Speaker 1: I left my marriage. I had to leave my marriage.
• 14:13
Speaker 1: I wanted to leave my marriage. And a lot of
• 14:16
Speaker 1: it had to do with Epstein. So think about that.
• 14:18
Speaker 1: Bill Gates is married for 27 years. Not the first
• 14:22
Speaker 1: time he went and dipped his dipstick in somebody else's
• 14:25
Speaker 1: fun dip either. She didn't divorce him then. Later on
• 14:29
Speaker 1: down the road, however, when Epstein enters the picture, whole
• 14:32
Speaker 1: different story, right? So Bill Gates can go on with
• 14:36
Speaker 1: his mea culpa and continue to apologize, but words are wind.
• 14:40
Speaker 1: and it's time for some action. And until Bill Gates
• 14:43
Speaker 1: does something to help better the lives of the people
• 14:46
Speaker 1: that were hurt by Epstein, then I don't really give
• 14:48
Speaker 1: a fuck what he has to say. And he can
• 14:51
Speaker 1: go live with Prince Andrew and play with the corgis.
• 14:55
Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
• 14:58
Speaker 1: found in the description box.
