- 2:38Speaker 1: I think I have to ask the question.
- 2:40Speaker 8: I was at curriculum night for my kids' school. Mind you,
- 2:43Speaker 8: this is third grade we're talking about, and the teacher's like, Okay,
- 2:47Speaker 8: your kids need to really learn their math facts. If
- 2:49Speaker 8: they learn anything this year, they need to memorize their
- 2:51Speaker 8: math facts.
- 2:52Speaker 4: It's all about math facts.
- 2:53Speaker 8: And I was like, math facts. I'm like, what math
- 2:57Speaker 8: facts are we talking about? Like the names of additions,
- 3:00Speaker 8: traction division, blah blah blah. No, And then she talks
- 3:03Speaker 8: about it and I just raised my hand. I'm like,

- 3:31Speaker 8: is a little different, but.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Yes, they're changing. And math is already so hard.
- 3:36Speaker 7: Like now you've got to show your work. You just
- 3:37Speaker 7: can't remember it. But they're saying now you need to
- 3:39Speaker 7: remember it well.
- 3:40Speaker 8: Like specifically with like long division. I'm not gonna go
- 3:43Speaker 8: and do it because no one wants to hear about math,
- 3:44Speaker 8: but like long division, it's done totally differently.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Now.
- 3:47Speaker 8: Oh really, yeah, like you estimate what the answer is
- 3:49Speaker 8: and then use that to find it's very weird.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So math facts yep, wow.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's funny. There's this. I think he's number one

- 4:15Speaker 3: that's worse than not going. I took all remedial classes,
- 4:21Speaker 3: which remedial is basically when they're like, look, we have
- 4:25Speaker 3: no idea how your high school that you leave. Yeah,
- 4:33Speaker 3: we're shocked about it, and we're going to look into it.
