- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, the truth about sorority life, with
- 0:04Speaker 1: your hosts, me, Gia Giudice.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Fessler.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush. Today, I
- 0:15Speaker 3: am joined by Amy Sugarman, and we're really excited to
- 0:19Speaker 3: talk to Evie and Margo and Stassi, who joined Amy
- 0:22Speaker 3: during Kappa Palooza. Okay, I'm really jealous. I did not
- 0:25Speaker 3: make the.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Name up, but is that not the best name?
- 0:29Speaker 3: It's the best name. I'm really jealous because as you know,
- 0:33Speaker 3: I was in a sorority and I have tried, my
- 0:36Speaker 3: sorority sisters and I have tried so much. Every single
- 0:40Speaker 3: year we try to get together and it's impossible with everything. No,
- 0:44Speaker 3: I get it.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I get it. We had tried.
- 0:45Speaker 4: This was probably the third real try we made and
- 0:49Speaker 4: it finally happened.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Wait, what house were you in again?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Alpha Chi.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Oh, Alpha Chi Omega?
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yeah, at Indiana.
- 0:56Speaker 2: But you guys called it Alpha Chi where we call
- 0:58Speaker 2: it A-Chi-O.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Or you can call it AKL.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Either or.
- 1:02Speaker 4: So basically what happened, and you were just talking about
- 1:05Speaker 4: Parents Weekend in the previous episode.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:08Speaker 4: So this was loosely, the date was sort of loosely
- 1:12Speaker 4: tied to Parents Weekend. So we had tried, so I
- 1:15Speaker 4: was a Kappa in the 90s at Cal. So, and
- 1:20Speaker 4: I'm still good friends with a lot of my sorority sisters,
- 1:24Speaker 4: both before I got there and after. So our reunion spanned,
- 1:30Speaker 4: I think, 12 years. So from the youngest person to
- 1:34Speaker 4: the oldest person.
- 1:35Speaker 3: It wasn't just your pledge class.
- 1:37Speaker 4: No.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:39Speaker 3: How did that happen?
- 1:40Speaker 2: I'll tell you. I'll tell you.
- 1:42Speaker 4: So we had tried a few years. We really sort
- 1:46Speaker 4: of tried last year and couldn't. There was sort of
- 1:49Speaker 4: a core group. And then the date wouldn't work. That's
- 1:52Speaker 4: always the problem. So this year, and I think we
- 1:55Speaker 4: had sort of lightly tried before. We had done it
- 1:57Speaker 4: for a few years where maybe 10 people went to
- 2:00Speaker 4: a football game.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 4: So this year we're like, all right, we're doing it.
- 2:06Speaker 4: So it started with like a core group of maybe like,
- 2:09Speaker 4: I don't know, eight or nine on the text.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And we just picked a date.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Now the Parents Weekend thing was a great idea, except
- 2:17Speaker 4: also a flaw, because a lot of these.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Girls have sons or daughters at Cal.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 2: So they couldn't participate.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Got it.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Like, one of our, like, core, core people that was
- 2:29Speaker 4: in the planning couldn't even go because she was at
- 2:32Speaker 4: SAE with her son, right?
- 2:34Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So that, we did lose a.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Handful, maybe 10 people because of that. So we ended
- 2:40Speaker 4: up with, I think, 40, but we probably would have
- 2:42Speaker 4: been at 50.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:44Speaker 4: The funniest thing, though, is that the boys, I don't
- 2:47Speaker 4: know why they didn't show up. Because the whole point
- 2:50Speaker 4: was it was supposed to be the girls, but we
- 2:52Speaker 4: wanted it to have boys, like our guy friends.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 6: Four guys.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Four? That's a fail.
- 3:00Speaker 2: 40 girls.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 3:02Speaker 2: And really, it was like husbands.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Why do you think nobody came?
- 3:06Speaker 4: I think that boys, I think that they didn't get it.
- 3:08Speaker 4: I think that they were like, this is a girl reunion.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Because it was called Kappa Palooza.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Well, that name came later. It's the invite. I can
- 3:18Speaker 2: read you what the invite said. And maybe they just
- 3:20Speaker 2: got scared.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I love that you made an invite. Oh, yes.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Somebody on our team. I think somebody that works with us.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I was like, hey, can you just make this invite?
- 3:28Speaker 2: So we made an invite and it just says, you're invited.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Kappa Kappa Gamma Party.
- 3:36Speaker 2: That's all it says. Friday, October 9th, 630. The lounge.
- 3:39Speaker 4: All right. And so I think that the boys maybe
- 3:43Speaker 4: thought like we were telling them, but we weren't really inviting.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Next time, we want to make it like cowboys and girls.
- 3:52Speaker 4: And like spouses are welcome.
- 3:53Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Maybe like, I don't know. I don't even want to say.
- 3:57Speaker 4: But maybe boys are like more, they do their boy things. Now,
- 4:01Speaker 4: this was what inspired it. Our guy friends do it
- 4:04Speaker 4: every year. Now, it's not 50 people, but they do
- 4:07Speaker 4: like a 10- to hundred person one every year at SAE.
- 4:13Speaker 4: They have like duck dinner. And I don't know if
- 4:15Speaker 4: that's every SAE or if it's just Cal SAE and
- 4:18Speaker 4: like all the alumni go.
- 4:20Speaker 3: That's so fun. I mean, I have never even heard
- 4:23Speaker 3: of this. Like when you first mentioned Capapalooza, like I said,
- 4:26Speaker 3: I thought it was just your sorority sisters, like your
- 4:29Speaker 3: pledge class, but it's like a reunion for your sorority.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It was a full reunion.
- 4:33Speaker 4: So the youngest person was, I was in the middle, right?
- 4:38Speaker 4: So I'm- I graduated high school in 92 and college
- 4:41Speaker 4: in 96. The youngest person was probably five or six
- 4:45Speaker 4: years younger than me. And then the oldest person there
- 4:48Speaker 4: was about six years older than me. I knew her well,
- 4:51Speaker 4: but she wasn't that Cal when I was there. So
- 4:54Speaker 4: I knew her because she married like a childhood friend
- 4:57Speaker 4: and she was my diving coach and blah, blah, blah.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So the wild part, I guess we better explain this
- 5:04Speaker 2: because people don't.
- 5:08Speaker 3: That would be helpful.
- 5:10Speaker 2: So basically what.
- 5:10Speaker 4: We did is we wanted to throw a sorority reunion.
- 5:14Speaker 4: And like you hear it talked about, right? Like, especially
- 5:17Speaker 4: with the guys, like we said, they do it all
- 5:19Speaker 4: the time, but I think girls do do it. Like
- 5:21Speaker 4: one of our friends, they do one every year, but
- 5:23Speaker 4: it's only eight people and they go on a trip somewhere.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Yes, exactly.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 5:28Speaker 3: That's kind of what I was saying. Like our sorority sisters,
- 5:31Speaker 3: we've talked about going to visit one of the friends
- 5:33Speaker 3: in Hilton Head or going to visit one of the
- 5:35Speaker 3: friends in Michigan or whatever. And it just never happens.
- 5:38Speaker 3: But I feel like an Alpha Chi sorority reunion would
- 5:44Speaker 3: be even more amazing. Yes. I love that.
- 5:48Speaker 4: So I will say that a couple people have to
- 5:51Speaker 4: take the bull by the horns.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Do you know what I'm saying? And there were like
- 5:54Speaker 2: a few of us that were like, all right, we're
- 5:56Speaker 2: going to make this happen. And then I will say.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Like any good sorority party, The more people that said yes,
- 6:04Speaker 4: the more people said yes. Like the cool kids realize like, oh,
- 6:09Speaker 4: there's some cool kids going.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I better go.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Yep.
- 6:13Speaker 4: I would say I have a few notes for next time.
- 6:16Speaker 4: These were the flaws. And we're going to have the
- 6:18Speaker 4: young girls on that like observed it all because I
- 6:20Speaker 4: can't wait to hear what they said. The flaws were
- 6:23Speaker 4: we did it at a country club, which was great
- 6:26Speaker 4: because this is a little secret fact. Some country clubs
- 6:31Speaker 4: are actually cheap. bar because yes, because they like, I
- 6:37Speaker 4: don't know what the word is. They like want to
- 6:39Speaker 4: work with their members. So like the drinks are cheaper,
- 6:41Speaker 4: the food is cheaper. So that's why it was great.
- 6:45Speaker 4: The problem was country clubs close at nine 30 and
- 6:48Speaker 4: we push this to 10 and the security came and
- 6:52Speaker 4: kicked us out. I think people would have stayed till
- 6:55Speaker 4: at least 1130, maybe midnight. Yeah.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Like or longer.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So that we have to fix.
- 7:03Speaker 3: But did you feel like after the party was over,
- 7:05Speaker 3: did you continue the party somewhere else or it was
- 7:08Speaker 3: just over?
- 7:08Speaker 4: Like 10 people came back to my house, which I
- 7:10Speaker 4: wasn't even like planning on, but I was like, I
- 7:12Speaker 4: got to get these people out of this country club.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Right. Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 2: So, and it wasn't like a drunken fest.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Like people were not like, it wasn't like that. People
- 7:20Speaker 4: were drinking and then the food we did sorority inspired food.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Oh, fun.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Potato bar.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Do you know what a potato bar is? I was
- 7:29Speaker 3: just going to say like breadsticks and pizza.
- 7:33Speaker 2: We did a potato bar. So you like get your
- 7:35Speaker 2: baked potato.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:36Speaker 2: And then you like put your toppings on.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:38Speaker 2: And then we did a slider bar. Because it's like
- 7:41Speaker 2: kind of sorority-ish, right?
- 7:42Speaker 3: Yes. Anyway, so. Oh, I feel like we had a
- 7:45Speaker 3: potato bar in our sorority. Of course. Or something like that.
- 7:48Speaker 3: We had a potato bar.
- 7:49Speaker 2: And did you guys have burrito bar? That was the best.
- 7:51Speaker 3: No, I'm sure not. But yeah, that's a good one too.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I remember- Any bar, exactly.
- 7:58Speaker 4: I remember people, like, coming up and being like, it's
- 8:01Speaker 4: burrito bar tonight. And you were like, if you were
- 8:03Speaker 4: going to go out, you're like, oh, no, I'll just
- 8:05Speaker 4: stay here. And you, like, invite the boys over.
- 8:08Speaker 2: It's burrito bar. Oh, I'll come over.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Do you feel like the party was pretty tame or
- 8:14Speaker 3: it got crazy?
- 8:17Speaker 4: It was very tame but fun. It's hard for me
- 8:20Speaker 4: because I, like, helped with the planning a little bit.
- 8:25Speaker 4: So I– don't know if it was as fun because
- 8:28Speaker 4: you know, when you're like a little bit helping plan,
- 8:31Speaker 4: you're like.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Is this fun? I have no idea. It seemed like
- 8:34Speaker 2: people were having fun. I don't know.
- 8:37Speaker 4: But what was wild is how many people had not
- 8:41Speaker 4: seen each other in 30 years and how many people
- 8:44Speaker 4: didn't know each other.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Because think about it.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Like, Allie, who's the youngest and Jill, who was the oldest,
- 8:51Speaker 4: had never even really met each other.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Because they were not, they're 12 years apart.
- 8:56Speaker 3: So. Oh no, how would they? Yeah. But a lot
- 8:59Speaker 3: of people.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Met each other and most people recognized each other. There
- 9:02Speaker 4: wasn't like a lot of like.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Oh, I love it. I am so inspired. I want
- 9:09Speaker 3: to do this next, whether, whether it's next year or,
- 9:12Speaker 3: Cause I feel like the holidays we're coming up on
- 9:15Speaker 3: the holidays. It's just going to be too crazy. Yeah.
- 9:17Speaker 2: You can't break.
- 9:18Speaker 3: It's too crazy.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I feel like you could do it in spring, but
- 9:21Speaker 4: the football season thing made it kind of like, because
- 9:24Speaker 4: a few people went to the game the next day,
- 9:26Speaker 4: I'd say like of the 40 people, maybe 10, 12
- 9:29Speaker 4: were at the game.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Some people. Okay.
- 9:32Speaker 4: So someone flew in from Mexico. Someone flew in from
- 9:36Speaker 4: New York. Um, a ton of people from Southern California, um,
- 9:40Speaker 4: I think those were the furthest.
- 9:42Speaker 2: A lot of people were local, but.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Okay.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Question.
- 9:45Speaker 3: So you're saying that there are people flying in to
- 9:48Speaker 3: come in for your reunion that are not parents and
- 9:50Speaker 3: they're coming during parents weekend for our parents weekend at
- 9:53Speaker 3: CU Boulder, the hotels hike up their prices by like
- 9:57Speaker 3: thousands of dollars. You're staying at like a Hampton Inn
- 10:01Speaker 3: that normally is like $ 250 and it's actually $ 3, 500 for
- 10:05Speaker 3: the weekend.
- 10:06Speaker 2: But you're thinking about the school.
- 10:08Speaker 4: So Berkeley is the school, but like people can stay
- 10:11Speaker 4: in San Francisco. They could stay in San Jose. They
- 10:15Speaker 4: could stay in the East Bay. They could stay in Marin.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Like you could just go.
- 10:19Speaker 4: A little outside the city limits and you'd be fine.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Or people crash with friends.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Like I had three people staying at my house and
- 10:27Speaker 4: then my neighbor, Molly, had three people staying at her house.
- 10:31Speaker 3: True. Well, for Indiana, like for my sake, no one
- 10:35Speaker 3: lives in Bloomington because it's a super tiny college town. Right.
- 10:39Speaker 3: And like you fly in and really there's nowhere else
- 10:41Speaker 3: to stay. Like just so doing it during parents weekend,
- 10:44Speaker 3: I feel like for some colleges could be hectic and
- 10:47Speaker 3: like too expensive, like cost prohibitive for some people to
- 10:51Speaker 3: fly in. Okay.
- 10:53Speaker 4: So what's interesting is for us, because we went to Berkeley,
- 10:58Speaker 4: it's a cool place to go, right?
- 11:00Speaker 2: Like it's an easy place to go. I wonder for you,
- 11:04Speaker 2: who went to school in Indiana. Is that right? Where
- 11:06Speaker 2: you went?
- 11:06Speaker 3: Yeah. Bloomington.
- 11:07Speaker 4: If you should have your reunion in Indiana, or do
- 11:09Speaker 4: you have your reunion in LA?
- 11:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Right, right, right. Or just in Indianapolis, you know, where
- 11:17Speaker 3: there's tons of options for places to stay.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Do most of your sorority sisters live now?
- 11:24Speaker 3: I would say a majority are probably in Indy or
- 11:27Speaker 3: Carmel or. All right.
- 11:28Speaker 2: So then you do it in, you got to do
- 11:30Speaker 2: it in, in Indiana then.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:31Speaker 2: How about a Ben's house?
- 11:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Ben, we're just going to nominate you to
- 11:37Speaker 3: host Alpha Chi.
- 11:38Speaker 4: So Ben Higgins, if anybody knows The Bachelor, Ben Higgins
- 11:42Speaker 4: was The Bachelor, but he's from Indiana and they have
- 11:44Speaker 4: a lake house and maybe he'd love to host.
- 11:46Speaker 3: 40 old lady sorority girls. Yeah, exactly. No, I mean,
- 11:51Speaker 3: he might even know some if we can get some
- 11:54Speaker 3: Alpha Chi's from his time.
- 11:55Speaker 4: And what's funny is my dad brought up, so my dad,
- 11:57Speaker 4: my parents went to Cal.
- 11:58Speaker 2: That's how they met.
- 11:59Speaker 4: They met at school and my mom was in my
- 12:00Speaker 4: same sorority. So my dad was like, you should let
- 12:02Speaker 4: the like grandma age come.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Yes.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Like my mom and like her age, which would be wild.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I think too.
- 12:11Speaker 3: It would be wild. And you know what? It would
- 12:14Speaker 3: go so far. I feel like as I'm getting older,
- 12:17Speaker 3: you know what Joan said on the golden bachelor? She
- 12:19Speaker 3: said that as she gets older, she feels invisible. And
- 12:23Speaker 3: I feel like it would, you know what I mean?
- 12:26Speaker 3: Like inviting them to something like that would just like
- 12:29Speaker 3: light up their worlds.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Yeah. Do you feel old sorority lady or do you
- 12:35Speaker 4: feel young?
- 12:35Speaker 2: Like I feel young, but I'm not.
- 12:38Speaker 3: I feel old because maybe it's the difference here is
- 12:40Speaker 3: because I have kids and you don't. And I feel
- 12:42Speaker 3: like because I have kids who are in college and
- 12:45Speaker 3: almost in college now, now I'm feeling more like the
- 12:49Speaker 3: old sorority person because my kids are college age.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Right.
- 12:54Speaker 3: If I didn't have kids, then I probably would still
- 12:56Speaker 3: feel like, oh, whatever. I'm still a college age kid.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Have you actually been back to your sorority?
- 13:04Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:04Speaker 3: So we did make it happen like maybe five years ago,
- 13:08Speaker 3: four or five years ago.
- 13:10Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:10Speaker 3: It could have been six or seven. I'm so bad
- 13:11Speaker 3: at years. Where we went back to, we went to Carmel.
- 13:16Speaker 3: We stayed at one of our girlfriend's houses and there
- 13:19Speaker 3: were probably like 10 of us. And then we went
- 13:22Speaker 3: to Indiana for one of the football games. We tailgated.
- 13:25Speaker 3: It was so much fun. But it was at school. Oh,
- 13:31Speaker 3: my God. What was your question? It just poofed.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Did you go to your sorority?
- 13:35Speaker 3: Yes, we went to the sorority. We went to the
- 13:37Speaker 3: sorority house. So we did the whole thing. See, that's
- 13:41Speaker 3: also why I feel like an old sorority.
- 13:43Speaker 2: We're not old, guys. We're so young.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:46Speaker 3: I forget everything because my brain does that constantly.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:50Speaker 3: We all went to the sorority house. We actually like
- 13:52Speaker 3: kind of like walked around the floors. We toured it. We,
- 13:56Speaker 3: you know, did all those things. They had out like
- 13:59Speaker 3: albums from previous years.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Composites. Someone did bring the composite.
- 14:03Speaker 4: So people that are listening that were in a sorority know,
- 14:05Speaker 4: but if you weren't, it's almost like your class picture,
- 14:08Speaker 4: but it's all the grades in college in your sorority.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Does that make sense? In the black dress with the pearls.
- 14:14Speaker 3: We didn't have to do that. Oh, you did.
- 14:15Speaker 2: You did it.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Wait, there was something I was going to say.
- 14:21Speaker 4: When I go back, which we do go back, because
- 14:23Speaker 4: sometimes when we're going to football games, you kind.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Of want to use the bathroom at the sorority house.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Although.
- 14:27Speaker 5: I know.
- 14:28Speaker 3: True story.
- 14:29Speaker 2: It could use a little cleaning up in there.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Sometimes I go in and I'm like, it's happening. It's
- 14:33Speaker 2: so messy. We didn't keep it. We would have been
- 14:36Speaker 2: in trouble if it was that messy.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Oh, same, same. I don't know.
- 14:38Speaker 4: I have a whole alumni thing. rant that I could
- 14:41Speaker 4: go on, but I'll do that later.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Save that for another episode.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I'll save that for another episode because this one's positive.
- 14:46Speaker 4: But when I go in, I know I'm graduated. I
- 14:52Speaker 4: definitely don't think I'm young in there, but I think
- 14:55Speaker 4: that I just graduated.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Like, oh, I was just.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Here a few years ago.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Please.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I mean, please.
- 15:00Speaker 3: I was just dancing with the stars. And how long
- 15:02Speaker 3: ago was the first season?
- 15:03Speaker 2: You're like, I was just on 20 years ago.
- 15:06Speaker 3: I know. Literally, I met... Ezra Freck, we were talking
- 15:11Speaker 3: about it on the podcast, the most dramatic dance floor ever.
- 15:14Speaker 3: And I literally said to him, I was on the
- 15:18Speaker 3: show before you were born. And I've said that to
- 15:20Speaker 3: multiple people.
- 15:21Speaker 2: That's actually true though.
- 15:22Speaker 3: I think it landed.
- 15:25Speaker 2: No, that's like, what's crazy.
- 15:26Speaker 4: Like the girls that are about to come on to
- 15:29Speaker 4: talk about sort of what they observed were not born
- 15:33Speaker 4: when we were in college because our age, no, somebody
- 15:36Speaker 4: said who brought, because they, some of the girls saw Specifically,
- 15:40Speaker 4: they saw Evie and.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Margot, and they were like, who brought their daughter?
- 15:45Speaker 3: Yes, completely.
- 15:46Speaker 2: That's not their daughter. They work for iHeart.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 16:05Speaker 2: The cool thing about Stassi.
- 16:07Speaker 4: So I am 1996 Kappa at Cal.
- 16:11Speaker 2: And Stassi is what year will you graduate?
- 16:13Speaker 3: 2027?
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:15Speaker 4: So she's 2027 Kappa at Cal. Oh my gosh.
- 16:20Speaker 2: So we're in the same house. So she helped put
- 16:22Speaker 2: Kappa Palooza together. Great.
- 16:25Speaker 4: And then Evie and Margo were actually there.
- 16:29Speaker 2: During the shenanigans. But I wouldn't really call it shenanigans.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:34Speaker 5: There were some shenanigans.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Everybody give their like first impressions of what you thought
- 16:39Speaker 4: of the reunion.
- 16:42Speaker 2: It was so much fun.
- 16:43Speaker 7: I think my personal favorite part was just seeing all
- 16:46Speaker 7: these women like be in Kappa so many years ago
- 16:48Speaker 7: and come back together. And like Amy said, like have
- 16:51Speaker 7: these conversations and just pick up right where they left off,
- 16:53Speaker 7: like talking about their life now, their kids and all
- 16:56Speaker 7: this stuff. And it was just so good to see
- 16:58Speaker 7: because to me, I would absolutely love to do something
- 17:01Speaker 7: like this with my own pledge class one day.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Yeah, me too. I think I go off Margo. The
- 17:07Speaker 5: other thing I wanted to say was, Amy, you said
- 17:11Speaker 5: that some people were like, oh, are they your daughters?
- 17:14Speaker 5: But the first women that came in, the first three
- 17:18Speaker 5: that like were just showing up before anyone else was there, Amy,
- 17:20Speaker 5: I think you were still in a meeting or whatever.
- 17:22Speaker 5: They were like early birds. And it's just me and Margo.
- 17:25Speaker 5: I'm like, hi, welcome. Like, do you want to grab
- 17:28Speaker 5: a drink at the bar or whatever? Like make him
- 17:30Speaker 5: feel comfortable. They're looking at us and they're like, we
- 17:34Speaker 5: like almost had this moment of like, do we, did
- 17:37Speaker 5: they go to Cal? Do we know? And they're like, hi,
- 17:41Speaker 5: you look so familiar. And I'm like, I work for Amy.
- 17:47Speaker 5: I'm just helping out.
- 17:49Speaker 2: They were put on the spot.
- 17:51Speaker 5: We were in your sorority.
- 17:54Speaker 4: There were a little bit of that because, like I said,
- 17:57Speaker 4: the 12-year difference.
- 17:58Speaker 2: There were a few times when people were like, who's that?
- 18:01Speaker 2: I'm like, don't worry. You wouldn't know them, but they're
- 18:03Speaker 2: eight years younger.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Wait, Stassi, did you get to get vibes of what
- 18:11Speaker 4: old Kappas are like?
- 18:12Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 18:13Speaker 1: We do our like alumni's and like founders dinners.
- 18:18Speaker 4: I know I have a real bone to pick about
- 18:19Speaker 4: the founders dinner, but that's going to be a whole
- 18:21Speaker 4: nother episode.
- 18:22Speaker 2: They don't invite us.
- 18:24Speaker 3: They don't invite people to the founders dinner?
- 18:26Speaker 4: No, there's like a group of ladies and they like
- 18:29Speaker 4: don't invite the founders. it's the different generations. Do you
- 18:33Speaker 4: know what I'm saying? So there's sort of the like,
- 18:35Speaker 4: we'll call it grandma generation, mom generation, young people generation, current.
- 18:41Speaker 2: And the grandmas don't want to mix with the moms.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I don't know why. I'm trying to work through that,
- 18:47Speaker 2: but I don't know.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Anyway. Wait, so Evie and Margo, like what did you witness? Like,
- 18:55Speaker 4: And did people look old to you? Did they look good?
- 18:58Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 18:59Speaker 5: Eating from the potato bar. Well, first of all, no
- 19:02Speaker 5: one was eating from the jump. It was just me
- 19:04Speaker 5: and Margo eating everything. It took me a while to eat.
- 19:09Speaker 5: And Margo and I, I was like, I kept saying
- 19:13Speaker 5: to Margo, I'm like, well, this is my future. Like,
- 19:15Speaker 5: I mean, amazing. Like this, look at everyone. They're all
- 19:18Speaker 5: like gorgeous people. And, like, these are the hottest women
- 19:22Speaker 5: in the Bay Area right here.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Oh, that's nice.
- 19:25Speaker 4: They really are a group of pretty ladies and very successful.
- 19:28Speaker 2: That's the thing.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Like, I would say half work. Half are, you know, like,
- 19:36Speaker 4: their job is stay-at-home mom. I don't know.
- 19:38Speaker 2: What is the proper way to say stay-at-home mom now?
- 19:40Speaker 4: Works in the home. Works in the home. I think
- 19:42Speaker 4: that's how you're supposed to say it. And then I'd
- 19:44Speaker 4: say about half.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Really? You have to say works in the home? It
- 19:47Speaker 3: works in the home.
- 19:51Speaker 2: And then I think half work.
- 19:53Speaker 4: And I would say majority have kids, but not all.
- 19:58Speaker 4: There's a few that don't, but a lot do. And
- 20:02Speaker 4: a lot of people have kids in college now. There
- 20:05Speaker 4: was some crazy things happening where like, someone's son just
- 20:09Speaker 4: joined the fraternity and someone else's son's already in that
- 20:12Speaker 4: fraternity at UCLA. Like there was like crazy things happening
- 20:16Speaker 4: like that where the second generation or the third generation,
- 20:21Speaker 4: whatever you want to say, is now meeting each other.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Like one of our friends is a pledge, I won't
- 20:27Speaker 4: say the fraternity, with two other, maybe three other friends,
- 20:32Speaker 4: kids in his pledge class where the parents all went
- 20:35Speaker 4: to college together And then there's probably another 10 guys
- 20:39Speaker 4: in the house whose parents went to Cal also. I mean, wild.
- 20:44Speaker 3: That just shows that the connections that are formed through
- 20:48Speaker 3: the Greek life, Greek system are strong. You know, it's
- 20:52Speaker 3: a big reason why I feel like so many people
- 20:55Speaker 3: go into the Greek system is to form friendships and
- 20:58Speaker 3: connections that last forever.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's a tough time, right? Because there's so many,
- 21:03Speaker 4: there are negatives, right? I don't deny that. There are negatives,
- 21:08Speaker 4: there are problems, there are things, but there are also so,
- 21:12Speaker 4: so many positives.
- 21:14Speaker 2: And I would be interested, like, I think the majority.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Of people, or at least my experience, was very little
- 21:19Speaker 4: negative while.
- 21:20Speaker 2: I was there, right?
- 21:21Speaker 4: I don't pretend to not see the rest of the
- 21:23Speaker 4: world and what happens. But in general, yeah, we made
- 21:26Speaker 4: great friendships.
- 21:27Speaker 2: And I thought the other thing was that it wasn't like,
- 21:31Speaker 2: what do I call it? Pleasantries.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Like it wasn't like surface level conversations. It wasn't like,
- 21:37Speaker 4: and how are you? And like, what do you do now?
- 21:40Speaker 4: It was not that at all. I did not have
- 21:44Speaker 4: one conversation like that. It literally was like a time travel.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Oh, you just pick up where you left off.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Totally.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Totally. That's the best.
- 21:56Speaker 5: I witnessed just like, I feel like the interactions were
- 21:58Speaker 5: so genuine. It'd be like, Oh my God. Like I
- 22:02Speaker 5: haven't seen you in forever. Like how are, it was
- 22:04Speaker 5: just very sweet or people seeing each other from across
- 22:07Speaker 5: the room. And they're like, Oh my gosh, going and
- 22:10Speaker 5: give him a hug.
- 22:11Speaker 3: It's just so.
- 22:12Speaker 4: It's also hashtag sorority life. Like one of my friends
- 22:14Speaker 4: was staying here and she's, she does. She, I know
- 22:17Speaker 4: her obviously very, very well, but like I, I was,
- 22:21Speaker 4: I had to work at the same time. So I
- 22:23Speaker 4: was in a meeting in the garage while they were
- 22:25Speaker 4: all in the house. And I come in and my
- 22:27Speaker 4: friend's just like wearing my socks, which is fine. And
- 22:30Speaker 4: she's like, oh yeah, I just went in your room
- 22:31Speaker 4: and grabbed your socks. Very sorority-ish.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Like, do you know what I'm saying? And so it
- 22:36Speaker 2: all still just remains like.
- 22:38Speaker 3: That's so funny. Oh yeah. How often did you go?
- 22:41Speaker 3: Oh no. And one thing. Just borrow whatever.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Yes. A hundred percent. You'd be like, oh, totally.
- 22:46Speaker 3: No.
- 22:46Speaker 4: The other thing that was so funny is I keep
- 22:48Speaker 4: the house at a breezy 63.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Yeah. We come back.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Everybody's kind of hanging out. And all of a sudden
- 22:55Speaker 2: I look at my thing and someone turned the heat
- 22:57Speaker 2: on to 74. And I literally was like, oh, absolutely not.
- 23:03Speaker 4: So I would say there's a discrepancy between temperatures of
- 23:07Speaker 4: this age of women.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Because I was like, I literally.
- 23:10Speaker 4: Was like, I will not be alive in the morning
- 23:13Speaker 4: if we go to bed with the heat on 73.
- 23:17Speaker 3: And mind you, none of you will be either because
- 23:20Speaker 3: I will be a raging hormone. So bye-bye.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I was like, we're all going to not be okay
- 23:25Speaker 2: if we do that. Like immediately back to 63, I
- 23:27Speaker 2: was like, er, er, er, er.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Just put on a sweatshirt and some slippers. Cause no,
- 23:33Speaker 3: that is not an option.
- 23:50Speaker 4: I wouldn't wonder for like Evie Margo Stassi is in
- 23:53Speaker 4: it still.
- 23:54Speaker 2: How many girls do you stay in touch with?
- 23:56Speaker 7: Honestly, I only stay in touch with like my core
- 23:59Speaker 7: friend group and like a few of our littles that
- 24:01Speaker 7: are like still at the school. And like they told
- 24:03Speaker 7: us about their G littles just now and it was
- 24:05Speaker 7: so fun. But honestly, like I don't really keep in
- 24:08Speaker 7: touch with a ton of girls.
- 24:09Speaker 1: So that's what I'm saying.
- 24:10Speaker 7: Like if I saw them in like that setting, I
- 24:12Speaker 7: feel like it would also be kind of like pick
- 24:14Speaker 7: up where you left off because you don't really stay
- 24:16Speaker 7: in touch throughout these years. But if you saw each other,
- 24:18Speaker 7: you'd be like, oh my God, like just like back
- 24:20Speaker 7: to the college days of like going out.
- 24:22Speaker 2: That's so interesting. Evie, what about you?
- 24:25Speaker 5: Because I'm in LA, I stay in touch with like,
- 24:30Speaker 5: I would say like 20 of them from my sorority,
- 24:34Speaker 5: older and.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Younger, like the other.
- 24:36Speaker 5: And it's that same, I was just thinking like, hi,
- 24:38Speaker 5: I wonder if it would be that same interaction if
- 24:41Speaker 5: I saw those girls now. But the other day I
- 24:42Speaker 5: was surfing and I saw a girl from my sorority
- 24:44Speaker 5: that I hadn't seen in three years. And I was like,
- 24:47Speaker 5: oh my God, is that you, Grace?
- 24:49Speaker 3: Hi.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Totally, we're talking for 15 minutes, I think.
- 24:53Speaker 3: I think.
- 24:55Speaker 5: I do think that time aids in those kinds of
- 24:59Speaker 5: interactions for women, just because you feel a little bit
- 25:02Speaker 5: like right after grad, you feel this pressure to like
- 25:05Speaker 5: really still stay super, super close with your friends that
- 25:08Speaker 5: you lived in the house with, you know, you went
- 25:10Speaker 5: from like literally sharing a bathroom with them to now
- 25:13Speaker 5: not knowing that they got a promotion or whatever.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Like, yeah.
- 25:17Speaker 5: So I think that transition, like the first year post-grad
- 25:20Speaker 5: can be kind of hard, but then after that time period, like,
- 25:24Speaker 5: you kind of settle into this like, oh, it's a
- 25:27Speaker 5: time warp.
- 25:29Speaker 4: I think there was something, Trista, I'll say about doing
- 25:31Speaker 4: it at our age because we have really not had
- 25:35Speaker 4: a CAPA reunion of our group from 30 years ago, right?
- 25:40Speaker 2: Little things, like we said, but this was a big thing.
- 25:43Speaker 4: A lot of people did say this was the age
- 25:45Speaker 4: to do it because there's a lot.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Of, we don't give any AFs. Is that how you
- 25:51Speaker 2: say that?
- 25:52Speaker 4: I think I said it.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Any Fs. Yeah. Yeah. Not any AFs. I don't know
- 25:59Speaker 3: what an AF is, but we got what you were saying.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Because nobody was like, there was no judgment. I really
- 26:08Speaker 4: will say that. And look, I would hope that 15
- 26:10Speaker 4: years ago, there wouldn't have been any judgment anyway.
- 26:12Speaker 2: But really, everyone was just stoked.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Totally.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Nobody cared who.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Had kids who didn't, who had what job, who didn't,
- 26:21Speaker 4: who drives this car, who doesn't, who has $ 5.
- 26:25Speaker 2: In their pocket who has 5 billion. No one cares, right?
- 26:28Speaker 2: I don't think anyone has 5 billion.
- 26:29Speaker 4: That'd be amazing if somebody did have 5 billion.
- 26:33Speaker 3: You're like, can we be friends?
- 26:34Speaker 2: We would have upped the potato bar if.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Somebody had 5 billion. Maybe add some caviar or whatever.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Right.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Which I don't care for caviar, but that's fine.
- 26:46Speaker 3: I hate seafood.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:48Speaker 2: I mean, I think it was also like you want
- 26:50Speaker 2: it to be.
- 26:52Speaker 4: Fun like it's not trying to be fancy like we
- 26:55Speaker 4: were just threw some flowers out and some balloons and
- 26:58Speaker 4: we're like totally rock it why even do that like
- 27:00Speaker 4: it's funny because that you say that because when I
- 27:02Speaker 4: went to do the like you know get together with
- 27:05Speaker 4: my friends I won't call it a reunion but with
- 27:07Speaker 4: my friends and we were at my friend's house she
- 27:10Speaker 4: was the consummate host and had everything out she had
- 27:13Speaker 4: Indiana cookies made and all these things like we had
- 27:16Speaker 4: cookies we did have cookies made We had Cal Kappa
- 27:19Speaker 4: cookies made.
- 27:20Speaker 3: That's so cute. So like, I feel like, yeah, that's fun,
- 27:23Speaker 3: but it doesn't have to be like this big explosion.
- 27:26Speaker 2: No, we did it super dirt dog. Like we, it is.
- 27:30Speaker 4: A country club, so it looked country clubby. So we
- 27:33Speaker 4: did want to add a little flair and Evie thought
- 27:35Speaker 4: of a good idea. She put like on the screen,
- 27:37Speaker 4: like looped Cal football.
- 27:39Speaker 2: So that was really good. But for the most part, yeah.
- 27:42Speaker 4: I mean, there were little things I would do to
- 27:44Speaker 4: make it more fun but the main thing was like
- 27:47Speaker 4: everyone wanted more time Yeah.
- 27:49Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like that's always how you feel
- 27:51Speaker 3: when you're with your close friends. I was going to say,
- 27:53Speaker 3: have you watched the show five-star weekend with Jennifer?
- 27:56Speaker 2: Of course.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Oh my God. It's so dramatic though.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Like, right.
- 28:01Speaker 3: I know.
- 28:01Speaker 4: But the spread, she was like Martha Stewart and that's
- 28:05Speaker 4: like the real Jen Garner. But can you imagine if
- 28:08Speaker 4: at the gabber reunion, someone's like, I'm sorry, I slept
- 28:11Speaker 4: with your dead husband.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. No.
- 28:16Speaker 2: That was kind of crazy.
- 28:17Speaker 3: That's a reunion you don't.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Want to be at. I can't remember in the end.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Did they end up friends again?
- 28:21Speaker 3: I don't know because I haven't watched all of them.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Oh my God. But did you know someone slept with
- 28:25Speaker 2: her husband?
- 28:26Speaker 3: Yes. Yes.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Okay. I got to the part where the one girl
- 28:30Speaker 3: found her phone and saw the picture of her and
- 28:32Speaker 3: her dead husband.
- 28:32Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:34Speaker 3: So it's coming, but yes, it's such a good show,
- 28:37Speaker 3: but yeah, you don't need all the, all the ta-da.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Like you just need the time together. I feel like
- 28:43Speaker 3: it's just about reconnecting and spending, like being in the
- 28:47Speaker 3: same room.
- 28:48Speaker 4: We're trying to decide if it should be like annual.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Should it be Every two years. I feel like a
- 28:51Speaker 4: big one should be every like two years.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:55Speaker 2: But like you could do the little small ones.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:58Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 28:58Speaker 2: I really like, I like activities at our age.
- 29:01Speaker 4: I think it's like fun to have sort of sorority
- 29:03Speaker 4: ish things to look forward to.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Anything to look forward to. sorry.
- 29:14Speaker 4: Do we need to talk?
- 29:18Speaker 2: I don't have that.
- 29:20Speaker 3: No, I'm trying to stay busy just with, is that.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Because you have a kid gone and you're like getting, yes,
- 29:25Speaker 2: that's what I mean.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Like, it's just a weird time.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Which kid is at college?
- 29:30Speaker 3: Max is at school.
- 29:31Speaker 2: He's, and is he doing a fraternity?
- 29:33Speaker 3: He is not. That's why I, so in the previous episode,
- 29:37Speaker 3: when I was talking to Stassi and Sarah and, um,
- 29:40Speaker 3: the other girls all the girls i was asking them
- 29:42Speaker 3: about like what are the activities for the kids who
- 29:45Speaker 3: aren't in a fraternity because max is not in a
- 29:47Speaker 3: fraternity is.
- 29:48Speaker 4: He a boulder where's he yeah and he because ryan
- 29:51Speaker 4: was in a fraternity wasn't he.
- 29:52Speaker 3: He wasn't, he played football. So like, it's fine. He
- 29:57Speaker 3: doesn't have to be in a fraternity. And I love
- 29:59Speaker 3: that he's not like a party kid, but it's funny
- 30:01Speaker 3: because family weekend or parents weekend is, typically like where
- 30:06Speaker 3: you go and you party with your kids.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Right. At the, at the fraternity or sorority.
- 30:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Yeah. So I, you know, it's close enough to where
- 30:13Speaker 3: we see him a lot and we're just going to
- 30:14Speaker 3: go up for the football game.
- 30:16Speaker 2: And you think he might want to do it next
- 30:17Speaker 2: year or is he like, I'm not into it.
- 30:19Speaker 3: There's a chance if, if his friend, cause some of
- 30:22Speaker 3: his friends have rushed. Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 30:24Speaker 3: So yes, but he's also talking about like maybe trying
- 30:27Speaker 3: out for lacrosse and whatever. If you do like a sport,
- 30:31Speaker 3: then I feel like, For sure.
- 30:34Speaker 4: My brother didn't do a fraternity because he played football.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. So it's too time consuming.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Stassi is an athlete and did the sorority, but is
- 30:42Speaker 4: that why you had to wait until sophomore year, Stassi?
- 30:45Speaker 2: I think a lot of athletes don't do it freshman year.
- 30:47Speaker 1: It's just so not advised to be an athlete and
- 30:50Speaker 1: do it. I mean, like we have like team guidelines
- 30:52Speaker 1: and it will just say like Greek life is highly
- 30:55Speaker 1: not encouraged.
- 30:57Speaker 3: So highly discouraged, highly discouraged.
- 31:00Speaker 1: And I think for me more so like I do
- 31:03Speaker 1: cross country obviously. So like I have a really small
- 31:05Speaker 1: team and I was like, I just feel like I
- 31:07Speaker 1: don't really know anyone right now.
- 31:09Speaker 3: And I want to like branch out a little bit.
- 31:11Speaker 1: And like, cause the athlete bubble, like at any college
- 31:13Speaker 1: is like, that's.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Like your world.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Greek life is your world.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Like, it's kind of the same thing and it's really
- 31:18Speaker 1: hard to get out of it. So I was like,
- 31:20Speaker 1: I'm just going to rush and just like, hope they
- 31:22Speaker 1: don't find out and just ask for forgiveness. And then
- 31:25Speaker 1: the only time that it became a problem was when
- 31:28Speaker 1: like I had joined.
- 31:29Speaker 3: And I was in it for a year. And then
- 31:31Speaker 3: I was like, I.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Think I'm going to just push it a little bit
- 31:33Speaker 1: further and see if I can live in the house.
- 31:34Speaker 2: And they won't be mad about that.
- 31:37Speaker 1: And then I remember talking to my coaches and they're like,
- 31:38Speaker 1: where are.
- 31:39Speaker 3: You living this year? And I was like, Oh, I'm
- 31:41Speaker 3: living on Piedmont. It's like, uh, by all these other houses.
- 31:45Speaker 2: It's gray. It's gray. Do you know the gray one? Yeah,
- 31:48Speaker 2: that gray one.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That Greek row. That's where I'll be living.
- 31:53Speaker 2: And they're like, okay.
- 31:54Speaker 3: Oh, got it. Note taken.
- 31:57Speaker 4: I literally would love when I'm 80, if I'm so
- 32:01Speaker 4: lucky to be 80 and 90 and maybe 100, to
- 32:04Speaker 4: live with my sorority sisters in a house.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Exactly. I want to live in a commune. I want
- 32:10Speaker 3: a commune with all the people that I love in
- 32:12Speaker 3: my world.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I mean, literally?
- 32:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:14Speaker 4: If somebody could cook for me, we didn't even do
- 32:17Speaker 4: the dishes. Do you know how much time I spend
- 32:20Speaker 4: every day doing laundry, ironing, vacuuming, 409ing crap, unloading the dishwasher,
- 32:27Speaker 4: loading the dishwasher.
- 32:28Speaker 2: It's like, it's gnarly. Oh, we just hand it. I
- 32:32Speaker 2: think you had to scrape it.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Scrape it and then hand it.
- 32:36Speaker 3: You didn't even have to do that. I think you
- 32:38Speaker 3: just put it in the, like.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I think we scraped maybe. I think we scraped.
- 32:43Speaker 3: All right. Well, even if you have to scrape, like amazing.
- 32:47Speaker 3: And then you had your house boy who like did
- 32:49Speaker 3: the dishes for the guys in the kitchen or whatever.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:53Speaker 2: No, the whole thing is a great, it's very great.
- 32:55Speaker 3: I agree. If we could figure out, could we, Sugarman,
- 32:58Speaker 3: let's put our minds together and figure out a sorority
- 33:01Speaker 3: system where Yeah.
- 33:03Speaker 2: I'm totally fine to live with you. Like we are fine.
- 33:06Speaker 2: I also like how you're, you're pretty neat and clean.
- 33:08Speaker 3: And I like all that. Yes.
- 33:11Speaker 2: The one messy girl's got to have her own wing.
- 33:13Speaker 7: No.
- 33:13Speaker 3: And that used to be me, but I feel like
- 33:16Speaker 3: I learned my lesson because so many people live with
- 33:19Speaker 3: me and they're like, come on, pick up. Oh my gosh.
- 33:21Speaker 4: I have a great idea for an episode of, of
- 33:23Speaker 4: dirty rush that we'll do sometime soon.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Like dirty.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Well, but lessons you learn in the sorority.
- 33:31Speaker 5: Yes.
- 33:32Speaker 4: Not leaving your crap everywhere is literally one of them
- 33:35Speaker 4: and it kind of stays with you.
- 33:37Speaker 3: For sure. Wearing shoes in the shared shower.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Do you know my story about that?
- 33:44Speaker 4: No.
- 33:44Speaker 2: That I got a planter's wart.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Ew.
- 33:47Speaker 2: And it took 10 years to get rid of it.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Oh my, what?
- 33:53Speaker 3: Ew.
- 33:56Speaker 2: I've told that story before.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that is definitely one of the big lessons.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Capapalooza was a win, I think.
- 34:04Speaker 2: It was a win.
- 34:05Speaker 5: Well, can we talk, did you talk at all about
- 34:07Speaker 5: the after party?
- 34:08Speaker 2: At my house? Was there another after party?
- 34:12Speaker 5: Was there an after party we want to know what
- 34:14Speaker 5: happened at the after party.
- 34:16Speaker 6: They were getting the solo cups from your kitchen and
- 34:19Speaker 6: the whole bartender was there like they took over and
- 34:23Speaker 6: evie never like okay this is when the this is
- 34:26Speaker 6: when the guys came or something.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Yeah that's where the four boys we had four boys
- 34:31Speaker 4: and three of them came to the after party.
- 34:32Speaker 5: They're like where's the vodka They're like looking around. They're
- 34:37Speaker 5: like in your garage.
- 34:38Speaker 2: It was fine. It was great.
- 34:40Speaker 4: I actually, and I do think in your fifties, people
- 34:42Speaker 4: are a lot like less messy. I did have to
- 34:44Speaker 4: do some cleaning, which by the way, you know, I
- 34:45Speaker 4: can't go to bed until it's cleaned up. So I
- 34:48Speaker 4: did spend an extra hour after I was like, and
- 34:50Speaker 4: they're like, what are you doing? I'm like, I can't
- 34:51Speaker 4: go to sleep if there's like all these cups.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:53Speaker 2: But it was fine.
- 34:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 34:55Speaker 2: It was fine.
- 34:56Speaker 3: That's so fun. I love that you guys did that.
- 34:59Speaker 3: I'm totally inspired to do the same.
- 35:01Speaker 7: Yes.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Everybody that I do think that the lesson is like,
- 35:04Speaker 4: you just have to do it.
- 35:06Speaker 2: You have to grab the bull by the horns.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you do.
- 35:10Speaker 2: And just pick a date. Cause you'll never find a date.
- 35:13Speaker 5: Nope.
- 35:13Speaker 4: That worked like, like literally one of our besties could
- 35:16Speaker 4: not go, but we're like.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Sorry, girl.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:19Speaker 3: It's just gotta happen.
- 35:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:21Speaker 2: It's gotta happen.
- 35:21Speaker 7: I know.
- 35:22Speaker 3: I know. Well, and that's why you want to be
- 35:24Speaker 3: on the planning committee so that you can, you can
- 35:28Speaker 3: figure out the date and you can be included.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Our friend Angie.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Cause everyone's like, well, how do we know who's coming?
- 35:33Speaker 4: And I'm like, I don't want any part of that.
- 35:35Speaker 4: And so we're like, Angie's going to be the registrar.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Oh, registrar for a party. Okay.
- 35:42Speaker 2: You guys were, we were pretty legit.
- 35:44Speaker 3: You were professional.
- 35:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:47Speaker 2: If you guys want to throw a capapalooza, let us know.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Yeah. I love it. Right.
