- 0:00Speaker 1: M Boulet Cap Podcast special guests in here my dog
- 0:06Speaker 1: Man sway lead so special, welcome man. Same difference. The
- 0:10Speaker 1: album is out.
- 0:12Speaker 2: It's kind of crazy, the same same sixteen songs. Go
- 0:15Speaker 2: get it right now.
- 0:16Speaker 1: It's crazy. This is technically your first solo album.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Yeah for show, my first solo for Shure. I had
- 0:21Speaker 2: a couple of solo songs on the Race Shimmer fourth album,
- 0:25Speaker 2: but yeah, it's my it's my real jump out that
- 0:27Speaker 2: jump off the porch.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Well, it felt like you had like a few like
- 0:30Speaker 1: false starts on like I guess like starting the rollout
- 0:33Speaker 1: of a solo album because you would like throw singles out, Yeah,
- 0:36Speaker 1: like why now and like kind of just break down
- 0:40Speaker 1: just the whole process, because this feels like I mean,
- 0:43Speaker 1: obviously it's definitely like twelve years in the making or.
- 0:46Speaker 2: So definitely definitely it's crazy. You know what I'm saying.
- 0:49Speaker 2: All these billions and billions and streams, and this is
- 0:52Speaker 2: my first time dropping a solo album, you know what
- 0:54Speaker 2: I'm saying. It's like a unique career, you know what
- 0:56Speaker 2: I'm saying. But yeah, every time I dropped the sing
- 1:00Speaker 2: I was playing on the dropping the.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Album, right, you have a lot of solo scens.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I got a lot of solo song I should
- 1:06Speaker 2: have put all those on the damn album. I'm probably
- 1:08Speaker 2: put them on the next album.
- 1:09Speaker 1: You could have pulled the you know, French did that
- 1:11Speaker 1: when he put his album out. He had like I
- 1:13Speaker 1: remember at the end of the album there was like
- 1:14Speaker 1: five songs that were like five years old, and then
- 1:17Speaker 1: when you turn it, I don't think it's nothing wrong
- 1:18Speaker 1: with it, though there's wrong with it there, and you
- 1:20Speaker 1: should put them on a body of work so your
- 1:22Speaker 1: fans can find them in like one place facts.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, well, how much of a Lost Files album?
- 1:29Speaker 1: I was gonna say, like, how like explain how many
- 1:31Speaker 1: different times you did this album, because I'm assuming this
- 1:34Speaker 1: thing has been changing. It's forever been changing over the
- 1:37Speaker 1: last probably eight years or so.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Like, Yeah, definitely I had I could have had like
- 1:42Speaker 2: eight projects out, you know what I'm saying, a lot
- 1:44Speaker 2: of times I just end up going back to work
- 1:46Speaker 2: with my brother you know what I'm saying, cause that's
- 1:47Speaker 2: my that's my main focus, me and my brothers. How
- 1:49Speaker 2: I came in the game Race Shrimmer, So you know
- 1:52Speaker 2: what I'm saying, I was spin back and work on
- 1:53Speaker 2: the Race Shimmer albums lock in, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Ultimately just end up pushing the date back lot back
- 2:00Speaker 2: in on my album get a Little Project ready, and
- 2:04Speaker 2: like wait Ray Shimmer ready, when we going back in
- 2:06Speaker 2: boom boom. But yeah, you know what I'm saying. Now,
- 2:09Speaker 2: I'm just on. I'm just pressing the gas.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy because like if you think about just
- 2:14Speaker 1: like the sonic difference when it's like some swayly shit
- 2:18Speaker 1: and then when you're in like shrim swim like mode,
- 2:20Speaker 1: it's very different, like y'all, it's a whole different vibe.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Like, yeah, I wanted it to be like I ain't
- 2:25Speaker 2: even want it to sound like necessarily just Ray Shimmer.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I wanted to be like the same quality big songs,
- 2:30Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, songs you can you can
- 2:32Speaker 2: sing along too, And but I really wanted to touch
- 2:35Speaker 2: the world and touch all different audiences. Like with this album,
- 2:39Speaker 2: like my next album, I'm going to specific sounds and
- 2:42Speaker 2: kind of zoom into certain like distinct sounds like the
- 2:45Speaker 2: Afro I go, I'll do a whole Afro project, or
- 2:47Speaker 2: I'll do it, might do a whole pop project, might
- 2:50Speaker 2: do a whole rap project. You know what I'm saying.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It's just I'm gonna just see where I'm at in
- 2:53Speaker 2: like a month.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. I saw. The last time I saw
- 2:57Speaker 1: you guys, we were all in Japan together.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we was in boy Jack Atlanta.
- 3:03Speaker 1: What's that? Oh yeah, because they have the Magic City
- 3:06Speaker 1: Stripper Magic City. Yeah, and then we ended up at
- 3:13Speaker 1: What's Mama Mama Woo's the strip club up.
- 3:15Speaker 2: In the like nine ten in the morning.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Bro, that boy Jimmy was wearing everyone's cowboy hats. Just
- 3:21Speaker 1: wild in the fuck. That's the fun. He might be
- 3:24Speaker 1: the funnest hang in a foreign country. Jimmy is a
- 3:26Speaker 1: wild boy.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Jimmy's energy is unmatched.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. But no, I that that was. That
- 3:32Speaker 1: was an interesting time. It's got to be dope like
- 3:34Speaker 1: just to because like that was. That was a big
- 3:36Speaker 1: festival you guys did out there.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that I think that changed like the
- 3:40Speaker 2: culture of Japan. Force Festival, Force Festival, shout out for festival.
- 3:44Speaker 2: That ship. I think that ship changed the culture out there.
- 3:46Speaker 2: That that was. That was huge.
- 3:49Speaker 1: What is your favorite country to go to? Because you
- 3:51Speaker 1: guys obviously travel all over the places. They're like a
- 3:53Speaker 1: specific country that you just like enjoy going to the
- 3:55Speaker 1: most to perform and hang out in.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I like Dubai for show. If I was crazy, Building's
- 4:02Speaker 2: crazy parties crazy, they show mad love Croatia, Croatia, Yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 2: Croasia five Australia to be a whole lot of vibes out.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Of the Croatia's right. I don't know. Dubai might be
- 4:15Speaker 1: cooked now that they've been I ran been lighting that
- 4:18Speaker 1: motherfucker up.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah, man, love to do by man. You know what
- 4:21Speaker 2: I'm saying, shout out to do anything, clear up soon?
- 4:23Speaker 1: How's up? You guys have done Thailand too.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Right, Thailand for show, smoking big gas.
- 4:28Speaker 1: They got great weed in Thailand. You wouldn't even know.
- 4:30Speaker 2: It, crazy weed.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Like you hear like, oh they got weed in time,
- 4:33Speaker 1: but yeah sure, And then you go and you're like,
- 4:35Speaker 1: oh they got some ship.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Here, pound bags. They pull up with the pound bags.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Great weed for real, for real them in the rice fields.
- 4:41Speaker 1: It's crazy you obviously you got posted on the album
- 4:43Speaker 1: and take my heart. But you guys have a song
- 4:45Speaker 1: that is double diamond.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, we got a song double diamond Sunflower.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Of course that's crazy to have a double I don't
- 4:51Speaker 1: know how many double diamond songs that are in like
- 4:52Speaker 1: the history of music, But there's not many. I mean,
- 4:54Speaker 1: that's fucking that's pretty wild.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I think it's the first, but I don't know. It
- 4:58Speaker 2: could be the second. I think it's the first. Insane
- 5:01Speaker 2: amount of records sold, like it's crazy. That was like
- 5:04Speaker 2: and it felt like, like, can you kind of give
- 5:07Speaker 2: me the genesis of that record because it felt like
- 5:09Speaker 2: a sway Lee record that post got on later or
- 5:11Speaker 2: what was kind of the process of that record coming
- 5:13Speaker 2: together and like you're writing it. Me and Posters had
- 5:16Speaker 2: a crazy studio night that that time, like we made
- 5:19Speaker 2: like six songs. So yeah, that I did. I started
- 5:24Speaker 2: off with Louis Bell, you know what I'm saying. I
- 5:27Speaker 2: just started off a whole nother song, just killed it.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Then Boom, why I had started off that one while
- 5:31Speaker 2: he when he came out Boom, I just went right
- 5:32Speaker 2: in and started that one. So he was just going
- 5:34Speaker 2: back and forth and yeah, bro laid his verse and
- 5:37Speaker 2: just completed it thousand percent. And then long story short,
- 5:42Speaker 2: got damn the Spider Man. People heard it and it
- 5:45Speaker 2: just they knew it was the one for the movie
- 5:47Speaker 2: because they was working on a movie at the time,
- 5:49Speaker 2: So that was like divine timing type shit.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You end up like kind of being a very big
- 5:54Speaker 1: part of the Spider Man sound tracks in general.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm like one of the faces, you know what,
- 5:59Speaker 2: You're kind of like character in the movie.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You like exactly like you both soundtracks like a lot.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm one of the multi verse Spider Man for
- 6:07Speaker 2: sure at this point.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Yeah, like like when you were writing records, do you
- 6:11Speaker 1: because I'm sure when you get like some of that
- 6:13Speaker 1: like soundtracks success or you watch a movie and like
- 6:16Speaker 1: the cartoons singing along your ship, you know.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it's definitely kicking in a lot of doors.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I can imagine you're like, yo, I need some more of.
- 6:22Speaker 2: This for sure, Like what's coming next? You, Well, you.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Write some ship like specifically for a movie if you
- 6:29Speaker 1: know they're like trying to put together something for like
- 6:32Speaker 1: like A Fast and the Furious or.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah, if I know, like the theme, like if it's
- 6:37Speaker 2: called stolen or something, I'll make a song called like
- 6:39Speaker 2: robbery or like like something aligns with the movie for sure.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Let me help you screws loose or something. Yeah, we
- 6:49Speaker 1: had a ted all the sun was in here. We're
- 6:51Speaker 1: smoking a lot of weed. Oh yeah, a good time
- 6:54Speaker 1: last night, right. Shout out to Neil, who inserts himself
- 7:02Speaker 1: into the interview all the time, and God should do
- 7:05Speaker 1: with him. They let the senior out of the Old
- 7:09Speaker 1: Folks Home today and he's senile and yeah, anyway, Yo,
- 7:14Speaker 1: So the post record that's on this album, is that
- 7:17Speaker 1: a record you had been sitting on or is it
- 7:18Speaker 1: like fairly new, Like when did you guys make that record?
- 7:21Speaker 2: I mean it's always new to the world. Yeah, what
- 7:23Speaker 2: I mean, I've been sitting on it. I've been sitting
- 7:25Speaker 2: on just waiting to complete the project, and I just
- 7:28Speaker 2: knew I wanted to be a part of the project.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I feel like because is a lot of this like
- 7:33Speaker 1: a collection of stuff that you were like yo, or
- 7:37Speaker 1: like we talked about you kind of having like so
- 7:39Speaker 1: many versions of this project. Is it like a good
- 7:42Speaker 1: variation of records from the last like x amount of
- 7:45Speaker 1: years or is a lot of exact supreneur.
- 7:48Speaker 2: It's a mix of everything, different errors, all different ers
- 7:50Speaker 2: of sweety. I just sprinkle them together with sounding like
- 7:53Speaker 2: cohesive together. But yeah, some are from like a couple
- 7:57Speaker 2: of months ago, some are from a year ago, someone
- 7:59Speaker 2: from like two year years ago you get No, I
- 8:02Speaker 2: don't got to dim itis. I just I just I
- 8:05Speaker 2: know all these songs. I know this one is like
- 8:07Speaker 2: the Bangers, like they got to warm up with people,
- 8:09Speaker 2: like a lot of them. They just got to hear
- 8:10Speaker 2: them two times, three times.
- 8:11Speaker 1: What's the oldest record on here? You said the Ears, it's.
- 8:14Speaker 2: The oldest record. They are timeless.

- 10:17Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong, but it felt like the arms
- 10:19Speaker 1: around you. Record The XXX and TOSSI on record was
- 10:21Speaker 1: one of the first songs we heard after he passed.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Was what was that process? Like it's you little Pumpma
- 10:28Speaker 1: Luma X and like it's pretty fresh, like it's a
- 10:32Speaker 1: big song, but I to be a bittersweet. Yeah, it was.
- 10:35Speaker 2: It was. It was kind of sad, but I definitely
- 10:37Speaker 2: wanted to I wanted to work with Bro and he
- 10:39Speaker 2: was alive. You know what I'm saying. He reached out
- 10:40Speaker 2: to me when he was alive, Like he sent me
- 10:42Speaker 2: a cool ass message, you know what I'm saying. I
- 10:44Speaker 2: was like, we're playing on meeting, playing on cooking up.
- 10:46Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. But yeah, man, that record.
- 10:50Speaker 2: The producer of that record, he was actually one of
- 10:52Speaker 2: my close friends too, So you know what I'm saying.
- 10:55Speaker 2: He sent me the song, told me he wanted me
- 10:56Speaker 2: to lay so Molly ma is here, so Molly.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Mam brought it me.
- 11:00Speaker 2: That's That's the homie. I love to beat, you know
- 11:04Speaker 2: what I'm saying with X fun with Everybody's gonna be
- 11:06Speaker 2: on there Malone with a homie, you know what I'm saying.
- 11:08Speaker 2: So yeah, we just were just locked in and it
- 11:11Speaker 2: was like a tribute, you know what I'm saying. Type record.
- 11:13Speaker 1: What's your craziest night at Molly Maul's house? Store you
- 11:15Speaker 1: have that you could chair because I've had some mild
- 11:18Speaker 1: ones myself.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Molly House Crazy, that was my neighbor.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Monkeys, yeah, monkeys. You're talking about the Encino House.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm talking about the Scarface House, the old
- 11:28Speaker 2: school Vegas House. Oh yeah, I've been to the Vegas
- 11:30Speaker 2: House too. He didn't see no house was the crazy one?
- 11:34Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah with the elevator down into the studio.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that was the original.
- 11:38Speaker 1: And they're just like crips sleeping everywhere for show for show.
- 11:44Speaker 1: It was did you ever didn't you have a monkey?
- 11:46Speaker 2: I had two monkeys? Yeah, I got I got two
- 11:48Speaker 2: monkeys I.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Got Do you still have them?
- 11:50Speaker 2: I got one, but the other one they kicked my
- 11:54Speaker 2: door in like when I was on tour and ship
- 11:55Speaker 2: the USDA, the animal control people because I don't got
- 11:58Speaker 2: my USDA license.
- 11:59Speaker 1: You have a license to have the monkey.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Supposedly, yeah, but I guess in La tougher to a monkey.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Yeahs like some stuff happened. So basically the knew I
- 12:10Speaker 2: had the monkey. So I was on tour Boom and
- 12:13Speaker 2: they kicked They kicked the door in Boom and one
- 12:15Speaker 2: of my monkeys was there in the cage, so they
- 12:16Speaker 2: just grabbed them Boom. I've seen it on the camera
- 12:19Speaker 2: and they ain't paid for my door. But my other one,
- 12:22Speaker 2: one of my homegirls, she used to like help me
- 12:24Speaker 2: watch it. So she watching it, she keeping it, you
- 12:27Speaker 2: know what I'm saying.
- 12:27Speaker 1: So she's like the mom of the monkey.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yeah, the monkey love her.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So your other monkey literally got kidnapped.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Basically yeah, and I had to pay like fifty RECs
- 12:35Speaker 2: like and.
- 12:36Speaker 1: As a fine. Or did you get the monkey back?
- 12:38Speaker 2: I ain't even I don't even get no information on
- 12:40Speaker 2: the monkey. I could have probably they probably you denized
- 12:42Speaker 2: the monkey. No, no, definitely not. They gave him owner
- 12:45Speaker 2: and basically the fifty thousand goes towards his food.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Did you see that the squirrel in New York? They
- 12:49Speaker 1: took a dude's scroll and killed it.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I was fucked up. You saw that fucked up while
- 12:54Speaker 2: they kill it, just put it in nature exactly like
- 12:56Speaker 2: these people. These people are like inhumane, you know what
- 12:58Speaker 2: I'm saying, These people who make it decisions like were
- 13:01Speaker 2: you saying, make.
- 13:02Speaker 1: You a while to get over the stolen monkey.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Hell that she was like my baby.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I raised that ship and he raised this thing, and
- 13:07Speaker 1: they're just coming in.
- 13:08Speaker 2: They kicked my door ticket. I was just like, they
- 13:09Speaker 2: don't give you no information. It was just like, damn,
- 13:12Speaker 2: y'all already took my monkey. That shit cost fifteen bands.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Mall's monkey. He used to have a DVD player in
- 13:18Speaker 1: his cage and uh, back in the day, he would
- 13:21Speaker 1: have Curious George DVD's playing. And I remember I took
- 13:24Speaker 1: two chains over there for the first time. This is
- 13:26Speaker 1: like twenty ten. There's a and his monkey was jacking
- 13:29Speaker 1: off Bubbs. I don't know if Bubbs is still around.
- 13:32Speaker 1: To the Curious George, the monkey was stroking to a
- 13:35Speaker 1: cartoon monkey. The little remember the portable DVD players used
- 13:38Speaker 1: to be able to fold up and down. My motherfucker. Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 1: this little monkey was beating his dick like.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Oh, he wouldn't he wouldn't break it. He like he
- 13:45Speaker 2: valued it. Yeah bruh, but he valued the DVD player
- 13:48Speaker 2: like he wouldn't suck it up because the monkey they
- 13:49Speaker 2: do everything.
- 13:50Speaker 1: No, yeah, and they throw shit at you.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Yeah he knew, Like, okay, this is some real important ship.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Like do you have a lot of animals now or
- 13:56Speaker 1: do you just like I mean, you're probably pretty busy
- 13:58Speaker 1: right now.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Y'all got like six dougs? Really six dogs?
- 14:02Speaker 1: Do they range and breed or you got like a
- 14:03Speaker 1: bunch of friend chees or what do you got?
- 14:05Speaker 2: I got them a little small though, because I don't like,
- 14:08Speaker 2: I don't like like hell a piss and big ass
- 14:11Speaker 2: turds like in the house, like them just taking ship.
- 14:14Speaker 2: It's like a little ass turd, easy to clean up.
- 14:18Speaker 2: But they bark when somebody comes on my father. No, no, no,
- 14:21Speaker 2: I love it, like every.

- 22:05Speaker 2: what I'm saying. But that ship, yeah, I got a
- 22:07Speaker 2: great rating.
- 22:08Speaker 1: So you won't drink certain water just ah no, just
- 22:12Speaker 1: just because you know what's in it, you pay attention

- 32:51Speaker 2: literally two days later, everybody started doing it.
- 32:54Speaker 1: What do you I think you guys have a lot
- 32:55Speaker 1: of underrated records. What do you think is the most
- 32:58Speaker 1: underrated Race Rammored.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Record, the most underrated Race Shrimmer record. It's probably either
- 33:07Speaker 2: this song called something I'm not adhd Anthem or do Yoga.
- 33:15Speaker 2: All my girls do yoga.
- 33:17Speaker 1: That's a crazy I feel like there's like records that

- 33:22Speaker 1: Like I thought Swang was gonna be crazy. Swing is huge,
- 33:26Speaker 1: it is, but it wasn't like no, like it wasn't
- 33:28Speaker 1: like a number one record of radio. You know what
- 33:30Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I don't even count that.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Even like look Alive, Look Alive, Look Alive Platinum too crazy,

- 33:40Speaker 2: readers crazy crazy. Yeah, they all go up in their
- 33:42Speaker 2: own world. It's crazy, Like it's like swang damn. They're like, oh,
- 33:46Speaker 2: I think like six times platinum, like they got like
- 33:51Speaker 2: I was gonna say out here, maybe as I say,
- 33:55Speaker 2: that's when like the show is like, oh no.
- 33:57Speaker 1: No live, I've seen that. Sh It's crazy.
- 34:00Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I might go to Cochi. I'm going uh. Obviously,
- 34:09Speaker 1: Nicki Minaj is not in the better graces of a
- 34:11Speaker 1: lot of people right now, but she was probably the
- 34:15Speaker 1: first super duper duper star to really fuck with y'all.
- 34:19Speaker 1: She got on the No flexone remix. You guys have
- 34:24Speaker 1: classics together. Throw Somes a record that will forever.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Let's fix this ship like some Legos.
- 34:33Speaker 1: That's good. Just talk about like like Nicky's embracing, embracing
- 34:40Speaker 1: you guys so early, and like how you know how
- 34:42Speaker 1: how did that change things for you guys? Cause throw
- 34:44Speaker 1: Some is another record that's like a forever song. You
- 34:45Speaker 1: go to the Strip club, you hear it.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that ship fire like shout out Nikki. Like she
- 34:51Speaker 2: definitely early on show Man Love Black Barbies.
- 34:56Speaker 1: And she did the Black Barbies all that stuff, Like
- 34:59Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, yeah, y'all got three with her, right,
- 35:01Speaker 1: are your record.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Three or four?
- 35:02Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 35:03Speaker 2: Three or four for sure? Because we got the full
- 35:06Speaker 2: off in the spot with Metro And then.
- 35:11Speaker 1: What did you notice, like the barbs like stick to y'all,
- 35:16Speaker 1: like after you guys started working with her, like because
- 35:18Speaker 1: you hear like any of her like her fans will
- 35:20Speaker 1: just like latch on or whatever she touches, like you
- 35:22Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like, y'all probably still got barbs
- 35:25Speaker 1: fucking showing up to y'all shows and ship from the
- 35:27Speaker 1: old ship.
- 35:29Speaker 2: And definitely when I when I say like like some shows,
- 35:33Speaker 2: I would be like, yo, anybody fuck with any barbs
- 35:34Speaker 2: in the crowd, and they'd be like hell of barbs,
- 35:36Speaker 2: Like yeah, right, right, right right.
- 35:38Speaker 1: But I feel like.
- 35:39Speaker 2: They really just love her, you know what I'm saying.
- 35:40Speaker 2: I don't know they love me?
- 35:43Speaker 1: Man, Let it be known, you have the most successful
- 35:45Speaker 1: song of all time.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Some sure they love me. Come let it be known,
- 35:48Speaker 2: because we definitely did a lot of stuff, you know
- 35:49Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Tell me, man, is there gonna be another Race Shermerd
- 35:56Speaker 1: album or you just focused on the solo ship at
- 35:58Speaker 1: the moment. Because I feel like, you know, I'm doing
- 36:01Speaker 1: everything right now, Like, are you guys working on some
- 36:03Speaker 1: new ship. Yeah, we always work in Me and Slim
- 36:05Speaker 1: always working like shit, I just want him yesterday.
- 36:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna bea with him later anyway, we gotta we
- 36:09Speaker 2: gotta go to rehearsals after this because he coming out
- 36:12Speaker 2: with me to Coachella and stuff.
- 36:13Speaker 1: So would it be shrim like five man, we might
- 36:18Speaker 1: go to fucking twenty eight. Just jump ahead.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Yeah, we might just keep stacking them like were gonna
- 36:23Speaker 2: keep stacking them until we start a new series. Like
- 36:25Speaker 2: I'm telling us, like we like the new Backstreet Boys.
- 36:27Speaker 2: You know, I'm saying, we're gonna keep reuniting. It's gonna
- 36:30Speaker 2: be a big moment every time we reunite. We're gonna
- 36:32Speaker 2: have movies every time we reunite. He gonna do his
- 36:34Speaker 2: solo stuff too, like he working on a solo album
- 36:37Speaker 2: and Ray Shimmer album. I'm just always making music. So
- 36:41Speaker 2: I got like Hella songs already, Like, yeah.
- 36:43Speaker 1: You were pretty early in terms of like working with
- 36:46Speaker 1: like country artists. I remember had a song came Brown,
- 36:48Speaker 1: came aroun Yeah crazy, But I feel like now like
- 36:50Speaker 1: everyone's doing country like there's a lot of people doing
- 36:54Speaker 1: country right now.
- 36:54Speaker 2: I think it's like the big ones.
- 36:56Speaker 1: It's kind of like right now doing it.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I don't really like a lot of it's like doing it,
- 37:01Speaker 2: but it's a difference between doing it and like doing
- 37:03Speaker 2: it well, like you know what I'm saying.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Well, I'm saying like, would you ever do like more
- 37:06Speaker 1: country shit or like help? Because I feel like your
- 37:08Speaker 1: pen is very translatable to any genre.
- 37:12Speaker 2: I got some music. I guess it could be considered country,
- 37:14Speaker 2: Like I ain't even drop yet, but that you're just
- 37:17Speaker 2: sitting that. Yeah, I want to work Morgan Wallen for sure.
- 37:21Speaker 2: I want to do some stuff with him. And there's
- 37:24Speaker 2: a couple of dope artists that I do some crazy
- 37:27Speaker 2: stuff with.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Are you still pretty active on the writing grind? Like?
- 37:32Speaker 3: Because I don't even really I don't even really call
- 37:35Speaker 3: it writing because I just I just play a song
- 37:40Speaker 3: if they like it. If I'm working with arts and
- 37:42Speaker 3: they want me to write or some or they want
- 37:44Speaker 3: to like come together like on some pinshit, I just
- 37:48Speaker 3: play a song.
- 37:48Speaker 2: If they like it, they can have it, you know
- 37:51Speaker 2: what I'm saying, just re sing it, Yeah you have it.
- 37:54Speaker 2: But I don't even like sit down for ours and
- 37:57Speaker 2: write a song for them.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Like did you ever get to that where you're like, oh,
- 38:00Speaker 1: someone's someone's working on an album. Let me try to
- 38:03Speaker 1: submit some ship or let me go into the studio
- 38:04Speaker 1: and submits some ship.
- 38:06Speaker 2: I used to it, like I used to try to
- 38:08Speaker 2: do that, and I send over somebody be like, Yo,
- 38:09Speaker 2: this person's working on a song. I'm working on an
- 38:12Speaker 2: album whatever. Boom. So you're saying something that's like you
- 38:16Speaker 2: might not even hear back from it and you just
- 38:18Speaker 2: sing like five six songs, or they might choose some
- 38:21Speaker 2: other whole totally other record right and just heard all
- 38:24Speaker 2: your unreleased you know what I'm saying. Shit, So I
- 38:27Speaker 2: don't do that shit no more. Like if I always
- 38:29Speaker 2: want to give me like call me up, we're gonna
- 38:31Speaker 2: link up. I'm pulling up, you know what I'm saying.
- 38:33Speaker 2: But I don't do this, like I don't do the
- 38:36Speaker 2: cyberspace sending ship through emails and it's like hear some
- 38:41Speaker 2: later You're like it sounds like you know I'm saying,
- 38:42Speaker 2: might be giving up. They might take two bars. You
- 38:44Speaker 2: just never know, and it might take a beat idea.
- 38:46Speaker 2: It's like you just never know. In today's age.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Hey, don't forget. If you're not on my bookie and
- 38:51Speaker 1: you're a sports fan, get in on the action. Man.
- 38:54Speaker 1: NBA playoffs are coming, they're steadily approaching end of the
- 38:57Speaker 1: season awards. You can go ahead and throw a little something.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I'm on those little action on them. Also, baseball season.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Go to my bookie right now, use the promo code bootleg.
- 39:08Speaker 1: And if you put some action on something up to
- 39:10Speaker 1: five hundred bucks and you happen to lose, it's all good.
- 39:15Speaker 1: They're gonna give you that right back. Risk free. Use
- 39:17Speaker 1: that promo code bootleg at my bookie. Get in on
- 39:21Speaker 1: the action. I've been rocking with my bookie as a customer,
- 39:26Speaker 1: like twelve years. My bookie promo code bootleg. Head over.
- 39:30Speaker 1: How do you feel about the AI shit?
- 39:31Speaker 2: Like?
- 39:31Speaker 1: Would you? Because I feel like a lot of artists
- 39:34Speaker 1: producers at least, have used it to their advantage because now,
- 39:37Speaker 1: like if they have an idea for a sample.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Oh for show's too easy. It's too easy.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Well, I wish you could sample.
- 39:42Speaker 2: I would make a whole album right now. But you
- 39:45Speaker 2: can see an AI artist and say is me and
- 39:48Speaker 2: I just probably get people hell ideas. But nigga. You
- 39:52Speaker 2: can go make a sixteen album song like album, right,
- 39:55Speaker 2: a sixteen song album right now? All AI songs, new
- 39:58Speaker 2: artists with your face just be mysterious as at your shows.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I mean that's kind of a what that what's that?
- 40:06Speaker 1: K pop? Demon Hunter? Ship? Bro? It's a fucking Netflix
- 40:08Speaker 1: show and that's like a number one fucking album.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that Ship's fire. I think they were finding
- 40:12Speaker 2: like real faces to actually play the characters. They should
- 40:15Speaker 2: even the fans they like the they like the actual
- 40:18Speaker 2: people that sung the songs.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Yeah, they're going on to the gorillas. The gorillas too.
- 40:21Speaker 1: The Gorillas is kind of the first. Oh they facts
- 40:25Speaker 1: fact they had the cartoon brus they fire super So
- 40:29Speaker 1: when when what is the most random ship like that?
- 40:33Speaker 1: People would be surprised that you listen to mm hmm.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Should I be listening like no, it's not really surprising
- 40:45Speaker 2: a lot of people listening to classically like ship. I
- 40:48Speaker 2: don't really know. I should be all over the place, classical.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Music, classical music like fucking Beethoven.
- 40:57Speaker 2: I'll be going to sleep. The classical music sometimes should
- 40:59Speaker 2: be you get rim sleep.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yeah, do you ever like I feel like you probably
- 41:06Speaker 1: have such a bag of like unreleased music. Yeah, terrorbytes
- 41:11Speaker 1: and terabytes and terrorbytes. So it's gotta be kind of like,
- 41:16Speaker 1: uh challenged to like have that much shit and be
- 41:20Speaker 1: like damn, like where where's it gonna go?
- 41:22Speaker 2: That's that's why I was really at to that. That
- 41:24Speaker 2: made me really like on the solo project.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Because you probably overthunk the solo project like fifty times
- 41:29Speaker 1: because you're like, dog, I got seven hundred.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Songs, yeah, and I did that so many times. Now
- 41:33Speaker 2: I'm just sitting on twenty thousand. So now I really
- 41:36Speaker 2: like I ain't let I was in my car and
- 41:39Speaker 2: I was like looking at the folders. I had this song,
- 41:42Speaker 2: and I said, all right, bro, I gotta start you
- 41:44Speaker 2: pumping the shit out then.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Like because you probably have like ideas that are platinum records. Crazy,
- 41:50Speaker 1: we just we'll never even hear.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Nah, I'm putting that shit out that Nigga Prints dropped
- 41:55Speaker 2: thirty albums, bro is it. I'm gonna drop thirty albums
- 41:58Speaker 2: like before my career.
- 41:59Speaker 1: But it's harder to do that if you're like because
- 42:02Speaker 1: I feel like if you're like independent, it's easy to
- 42:04Speaker 1: be like, yo, I'm gonna just fucking I'm gonna just
- 42:06Speaker 1: upload an album this week. It's a little harder when
- 42:09Speaker 1: you're fucking Sway Lee and you're on a major label
- 42:11Speaker 1: and you're.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Not for real because they love me at the label,
- 42:14Speaker 2: they with whatever I'm with, You.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Should yeah, I think you should do like a I
- 42:17Speaker 1: let like.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Like dumb stuff with stopping me. You know what I'm saying,
- 42:20Speaker 2: just like getting in your head, not even that like
- 42:22Speaker 2: like just like other people's shit was stopping me, you
- 42:25Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. So now it's just like I'm
- 42:29Speaker 2: just to the point where like I'm like, damn, now
- 42:30Speaker 2: I'm sitting on thirty thousand songs, like and I got
- 42:34Speaker 2: five albums out, Like that's preposterous.
- 42:36Speaker 1: By the way. I'm just like crazy, Yeah, I'm just
- 42:39Speaker 1: like damn, it's a lot.
- 42:41Speaker 2: It's time to start getting shit out, you know what
- 42:43Speaker 2: I'm saying, Like yeah, yeah, whatever do it do Like
- 42:45Speaker 2: I ain't even I just want the people to hear it,
- 42:47Speaker 2: enjoy what they enjoy on to the next Would.
- 42:50Speaker 1: You ever like really really take the acting shit serious?
- 42:53Speaker 2: I feel like hell yeah, I ain't gonna lie. Like
- 42:57Speaker 2: I was shopping over fifty cents and Miami one time,
- 43:00Speaker 2: like told me like come to the where they shoot
- 43:04Speaker 2: the ship at Louis And I think it was Bonport. Yeah,
- 43:06Speaker 2: where were so? But I definitely I was. Man. One
- 43:10Speaker 2: of my bucket lists things like I'm trying to die
- 43:13Speaker 2: in the movie, like one of the Hood movies. You
- 43:15Speaker 2: want to make them love me in the movie. Yeah, exactly.
- 43:19Speaker 2: That will not be hard to figure out, like they
- 43:20Speaker 2: love you at first, and like you died towards the end,
- 43:22Speaker 2: it's like no, fuck, like like like, I feel like it.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Hell cool to get killed in a horror movie.
- 43:28Speaker 2: That too, Yeah, that's fire, like Ryan like going hard
- 43:31Speaker 2: at first, surviving Bust.
- 43:33Speaker 1: The Rhymes got killed by Michael Myers and Halloween Resurrection
- 43:36Speaker 1: that it's hard. I feel like you got it in
- 43:39Speaker 1: you man, I feel like sho already or you got
- 43:41Speaker 1: to be like a voice actor or some ship. And
- 43:43Speaker 1: then I did that.
- 43:44Speaker 2: I did that. I did that. I did the voice
- 43:46Speaker 2: acting for this this movie called Sneaks. Really it was
- 43:49Speaker 2: like me, Mustard Coiler ray, oh fire, is it out?
- 43:54Speaker 1: It's out? Yeah?
- 43:54Speaker 2: It was like it was like it was a kids movie.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Is it on?
- 43:58Speaker 2: No?
- 44:00Speaker 1: Heard of that one?
- 44:00Speaker 2: It might be on too, me too, though, Actually.
- 44:02Speaker 1: You gotta tell them mother. The New Spider Man they're
- 44:04Speaker 1: working on. I'm sure we up to some.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we up to some.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Are you are you gonna be on the new soundtrack too?
- 44:09Speaker 2: We up the song? We have the song. I can't
- 44:11Speaker 2: say too much. That's like something that's some big ship.
- 44:14Speaker 1: That's crazy. Uh is there a song? What? What? What?
- 44:19Speaker 1: I guess for you man, like you're part of so
- 44:23Speaker 1: many studio sessions we heard we heard about the French thing. Uh.
- 44:27Speaker 1: You know the hardest thing I'm sure about being somebody
- 44:30Speaker 1: who writes and it's just like a creative vessel like you.
- 44:33Speaker 1: It's like not knowing sometimes where ship can end up
- 44:37Speaker 1: or you know what I'm saying, Like damn, I worked
- 44:39Speaker 1: on that like that that long ago, Like was there
- 44:42Speaker 1: ever like a record you did that you forge just
- 44:44Speaker 1: forgot about that just ended up popping up somewhere like
- 44:47Speaker 1: we were like, oh fuck, I did do that hook
- 44:50Speaker 1: or I did write that bridge? Like m.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Not for real?
- 44:58Speaker 1: Na? Because are you like are you like humming melodies
- 45:04Speaker 1: first and then punching in lyrics like what you're writing process?
- 45:08Speaker 2: It's different for different days, Like sometimes I already have
- 45:11Speaker 2: a song written.
- 45:12Speaker 1: So you like write in the phone and shiit like lyrics.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I got crazy photos in there like that's
- 45:17Speaker 2: my highest like that's my app to takes up the
- 45:20Speaker 2: most space on my phone. My notes literally I got
- 45:22Speaker 2: like hello notes.
- 45:24Speaker 1: I feel like it's so important to be intentional when
- 45:26Speaker 1: you like write shit down. I feel like it's cool,
- 45:28Speaker 1: like if you're in the studio you catch a vibe.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I feel like nowadays everybody be punching in bro and
- 45:32Speaker 1: it's like, punching is cool too, It's cool, but I
- 45:34Speaker 1: feel like it's like if you really because you got
- 45:37Speaker 1: all your win. Yeah. I just feel like more artists
- 45:40Speaker 1: should like be a little like should write should be like,
- 45:43Speaker 1: oh I got some lyrics I put some thought into.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Definitely, definitely because you can you can really look at
- 45:48Speaker 2: it and make the right edits right, make sure you're
- 45:50Speaker 2: saying the right shit, certain shit. That natural energy is
- 45:54Speaker 2: like the really really the best thing to do if
- 45:57Speaker 2: you have the ability.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Like to freestyle, so you be freestyling a freestyle. A
- 46:02Speaker 1: couple of songs on this album too.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Not not this and this one was all like write
- 46:06Speaker 2: four bars, freestyle a couple write four bars, come back
- 46:11Speaker 2: next day song, come back next day, boom, finish it off.
- 46:14Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, But when you freestyle, it's
- 46:17Speaker 2: like you catch natural like the natural energy.
- 46:20Speaker 1: It's like, well, even if you just use the like
- 46:22Speaker 1: melody too, it's like, well, fuck, I can go back
- 46:24Speaker 1: in and like change that. I didn't like the way
- 46:26Speaker 1: that cut it, But we can say we can put
- 46:29Speaker 1: in these words or whatever. Is there gonna be a
- 46:31Speaker 1: tour coming, So I coming for show.
- 46:33Speaker 2: I got some stuff in the works after Coachella, you
- 46:37Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Maybe like a couple months after
- 46:39Speaker 2: letter thing heat up, simmer, summertime for show in a row.

- 46:45Speaker 1: guys hung out, or that night you did Sunflower. You
- 46:47Speaker 1: guys did like six records. Where are the other fucking songs?

- 47:02Speaker 1: of all time, just got five fucking records just sitting
- 47:04Speaker 1: on a hard drive that nobody ever fucking here. We
- 47:07Speaker 1: got one crazy, it's crazy.
- 47:10Speaker 2: We got one song that's like it's like one of
- 47:12Speaker 2: my favorites called Virgin.
- 47:13Speaker 1: It's called virgin.
- 47:14Speaker 2: It's super fire like it's one of them.
- 47:17Speaker 1: So are you gonna attempt to try to get it
- 47:19Speaker 1: out or is it just kind of like, Eh.
- 47:22Speaker 2: We can do anything now. You know what I'm saying,
- 47:24Speaker 2: because I got one on my album now, so it's
- 47:25Speaker 2: like next who knows what we're doing.
- 47:27Speaker 1: He's not putting. I feel like, you gotta do country
- 47:29Speaker 1: to do the next post album.

- 47:34Speaker 2: do it all. You never know how you're gonna come next.
- 47:35Speaker 1: I don't know if he's gonna don't you think it's
- 47:37Speaker 1: a hip hop again?

- 47:46Speaker 2: alternative stuff like that's just from the bag he in
- 47:49Speaker 2: right now. But he's a type of artist like that
- 47:51Speaker 2: can like just step into any feel like he can
- 47:54Speaker 2: turn it on and off like he want to go
- 47:55Speaker 2: back wrapping his voice. It's a lodic enough to just
- 47:59Speaker 2: catch any re beat.
