- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: My name is Robert Morrison, a contributor over at 9 or noise.com.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: And here with me as always, first and foremost, Mr. Actually, I was David Dula, I actually, I was it's been a while.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: We've been on, I don't know, spring break or something.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what you call it, but we're back.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: We're ready to talk about the drafts.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: We have a familiar voice with us in just a minute.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about that in a moment, but how are you?
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm good, Robert.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the slow part of the NFL season when it comes to NFL teams in particular, we found it.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: We found it.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's true.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: It was a, I missed it.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know, it's never great when you're in the like dog days of the off season and a team you hate one to Super Bowl.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: Just generally, you kind of, I feel like you always get like a bad taste in your mouth.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I'm excited to be back, drafts coming up soon, super exciting.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: Niners are in a really interesting spot, but I'm more excited for the guest we have on today because
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's a he's a downright expert on this stuff and so this episode's going to be a lot of us peppering questions out of indeed and that is of course the one the only nine or no is draft guru as we refer to him Mister Jeremy will fart Jeremy it is the morningish time where you are as as we record this so I'll say good good morning to you how how are you in
- 1:39[SPEAKER_03]: And I should say good evening back.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you just after 11 a.m. year in South Australia doing very well.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_03]: Exciting this time of year.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's almost better than the football itself than me.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, that's quite a statement.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: We were talking before we got started here.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: You have a benefit that the Oxygen I do not.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: And that is that you get to experience the Niners opening game, which, of course, will be in your home country.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: You've told us this before, it's a little bit of hike, but not like outrageous, that's correct, right?
- 2:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's really exciting to have the game here in Australia.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's, it's been a very crazy time over 150,000 people on the, that were on the weight list for information on the tickets.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_03]: There was one of the lucky ones to get a ticket.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's been, big news here.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_03]: Really hopeful.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_03]: Um, then it's mine to continue in the future and obviously just my good fortune at the 49ers with one of the teams to be selected.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_03]: But then again, I suppose the Rams can't really face the 49ers in a two-way games ten
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess not, so they had to go all the way around the world in order to get away from it.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: So did you guys see the shandahan interview on this?
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it was hilarious and it wasn't him that brought it up.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was Matt LaFlor and Mike LaFlor who was like, Oh, they're rams.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: The rams, a lot of you'd for the Niners team, right?
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: The ones, man.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: First tap secret in the NFL.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, everybody.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: The refresher.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then, but the funniest part was he was like,
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: for the other game.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: I saw there was, sorry, this is like an aside, but I saw that the Broncos are precluded from going to Mexico City because of the others.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then I think the Raiders were also blocked.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: That just might be a, it's a home game.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: And so they don't want the raiders there.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like that one I was less sure about but the Broncos one is interesting.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I think I think I definitely heard the Broncos for sure the raiders that they want to possibly
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: keep the Raiders game as a possible one to come to Levi.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see how that goes.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: But still news on, still nothing on that game, but we'll see.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's we're only several, like a month away from the schedule.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll have plenty of time talk about that for sure.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: But we're going to talk about the draft with Jeremy today because that is, um,
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: that is his thing and it's what the thing that he loves as he just told us but we have some it's not really breaking news it just happened today in the lead up to our recording and so it's it does kind of it changes things with the draft a little bit it doesn't have anything to do specifically with the 49ers but you do wonder
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: If it shakes things up and that is that dexteral warrants, who it was reported a couple of days ago, was having, it was at an in-pass with the New York Giants in a contract situation has been traded to the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know the full extent of the draft or of the compensation, but we do know that the Bengals number 10 overall pick.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be going to the Giants in this upcoming draft.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: That means the Giants now have two picks inside of the top 10.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think number five in, number 10.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: So that worked out nicely numerically.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting move, you know, obviously a very good player, but a little bit of an older player.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: Not at all surprised that the Niners were not involved in this.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't just don't think that's like defensive tackles specifically in area of need for them to upgrade, especially after they pay.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: They acquired OSA.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not even going to try it in.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: You guys know, I'm talking about in a trade earlier in the off season, but pretty big move for the bangles and also, and I think a nice move for the giants to a team that certainly could use an influx of talent.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: So, any thoughts on on that one, guys?
- 6:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's really interesting from a painful standpoint, because when I was, when you go through the top defensive players, like the top Luchim defensive players, I did not know what they were going to do, because they would either have to reach on a lesser player to do their secondary
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: they weren't going to land one of the top three past rushes the way I was seeing it or they could get Caleb down one of the best place in the draft and not much in terms of positional value.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_03]: This feels like the best possible move the bingles could have made because they need to put themselves in a position to face down the chiefs and the bills and they've probably been the biggest
- 6:53[SPEAKER_03]: that in terms of the big, like quarterback driven teams, you might want to make sure Alan's your borrowers so on in the AFC, they were the ones that had the biggest deficiencies on defense.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_03]: So I see the logic, I think it's a good move.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just and really surprised it happened this soon before the draw.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I think the draft implications are really interesting and Jeremy, I think we'll get into this more when we ask you about your,
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: your latest mock because for me it seems like like you said the bangles were going to draft defense almost assuredly the giants it's been an open question so I wonder like what's the cascading effect?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: Lawrence is like really very good.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean I think he commanded this package off like his worst Europe is a pro just crazy to me and um
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think like it's nice that he's not in the NFC I guess if you think about like who are the players the 49 is what to deal with.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: But it's a really high value.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm interested in it because there've been some scuddle but that miles Garrett to be on the trade block.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, look, the Dexter Lawrence phenomenal defensive tackle.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: Dexter Lawrence gets you to tent over all pick plus.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't know what the plus is.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: You're trading like two drafts for miles Garrett.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, yeah, so that kind of like,
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think that there was a lot of cold water on the possibility that the Niners could have made a move there, but I mean it's super fascinating.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with Jeremy.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's what the Bengals had to do for the giants.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, it weakens their defensive line, but honestly, I think they're competitive windows, such that this probably is fine for them, as long as they don't draft a defensive tackle to try to replace him with the same pick, because yeah, gosh, that never works out.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so, but yeah, it's really interesting.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think just for, like, how it values Lawrence and what it will do for the draft to
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so let's go ahead and turn the tables here a little bit.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: Germano, you have been ever since this news came out.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this has literally been within the last couple of hours.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: You've been working on adjusting your thoughts.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: So feel free to work all that in as you need to.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: But I think, obviously, this is a foreign and Irish based podcast, and we should probably talk about them because that's important.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the a good starting point for this conversation, or at least an easy one, is let's let's come together as a group and decide what do we think?
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: So we can sort of all give our your thoughts and see what consensus is.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_03]: I think bolstering the trenches, both offensive and defensive is, we know we're going to see peaks on the defensive line.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_03]: We know that John Lynch and Carl Scherner hand love spending peaks on Lyman.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_03]: It's not out of the realm of possibility that an edge russia is that pick at 27.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's not out of the realm of possibility that a offensive lineman is going to be the pick at 27.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_03]: As a fan base, I've been banged the table for an heir to Trent Williams, but, you know, Matt, my offer, he pointed out recently, and I thought it was very, very good point.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: If the 49ers are going to try to compete now, which obviously they should, they want to play off games this year, despite being injured to Helen back,
- 10:53[SPEAKER_03]: The number one immediate need is gonna be addressing that left-guard position.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_03]: And so I think some of the guards, or even some of the tackle prospects that in the short-term can be guards, that might be something that we are really talking about, but I think could be the number one need on the void-art as much.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it is the the guard is certainly that that one position that you look at and you know, like there's an obvious starting position there that a rookie could come in and take so on that in that regard, I certainly think that makes sense.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think my tendency would would be to say that they're like past rush.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: and defensive line in general.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: I probably less defensive tackle, probably more Eddresher's defensive ends, that sort of player seems to me like the top.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a case to be made that there's a starting quote unquote starting Eddresher position off with opposite Nick Bosa available.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Williams obviously is a starter.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: in on at the defensive end, but that's not like his primary, like edged rusher is a different thing and I don't think he's going to fit there.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's also a case to be made for for wider receiver, given even though the in spite of the moves that they made this off season, and those are the two that stand out to me.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think offensive line for sure in terms of
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: And then, like, safety is another one that stands out to me.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think they, I think they like, mountain stuff, but I don't think they know how they feel about Jair Brown and Marcus Segel.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think if they drafted somebody who took over, who came in and said that other starting safety position is mine, I don't think they'd feel bad about it at all.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think, um,
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, add Russia, they definitely need my, my word and we'll get into this is that like, they need like a starter level on the edge.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know, like if you're going to get that receiver, they could definitely use another receiver.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, they're top three is pretty good if healthy that if is basically, like carrying the weight of the universe on it.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: I, I think safety is really big.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's can be a, I'm so like we've talked about this Robert and earlier podcast, I'm surprised.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't addressed the position yet.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: I do think they're going to take a stab at it.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously offensive line to what an extent they'll ever address that, I don't know, but it's out there.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm going to say tie-dend, I think tie-dend is a big one.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because not only with kiddo, like trying to like speedrun a recovery and an absurd timeline, but I think, um,
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like they got a certain thinking about who's next, adding more weapons, especially if you think about like Seattle's defense and the ramps and just like defenses in general having these big nickels, you kind of want ways to combat that.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I think, um,
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like a Titan who's great in the past game and good enough in the, like as a blocker, I think will be important.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like the 49ers have always leaned the other way in drafting Titans, but get a weapon first, teach him at a block in my opinion.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that makes sense.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so with that in mind, let's talk about the 27th overall pick, which is the 49ers' first pick in the draft.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: Depending on who you ask, they're going one of like nine different directions.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: Jeremy, we'll, we'll, you're the, the man in the hour, so we'll give you your thoughts here.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think is going to happen?
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: But what are some other directions in connection with that that you think it could possibly go?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I have marked Casey conception to the 49ers.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think in the short in like the short term, you're going to have my evidence there.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to have Christian Kirk there.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_03]: Nive of them are long-term options.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_03]: Ricky Piersoul is talented when on the field, but that is, has made a story of his career.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_03]: He has made, for one reason or another, whether it's due to injury or due to being a short, he's just not being able to be on the field as much as the
- 15:46[SPEAKER_03]: An injection of you, I know there's a mistake of caling there.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know exactly how much the 49ers see him as a weapon on the offensive and saying more of a special teamer.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_03]: The one.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_03]: immediate thing to note is with the exception of Caleb Lomer, the tackle from Utah, all of the top 30 prospects, the top 30 visit prospects, the 49ers have met with, all that are in that late first round range have been receivers.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: And that does not necessarily need to be a receiver.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_03]: But it does, I think, indicate where the 49ers heads are at in terms of what they think their most pressing need is.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_03]: It can be a tap.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_03]: There are late first round tackles that are at least interesting.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_03]: You know, could a physical specimen with a little bit of worrying tape and
- 16:58[SPEAKER_03]: Blake Miller out of Thompson.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_03]: It tackle is definitely, I think, and I'm not sure how much you've been needed is.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's going to depend on the Trent Williams situation.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_03]: I think the general consensus is Williams and the 49ers will find a path forward.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_03]: So in that regard,
- 17:26[SPEAKER_03]: It might also depend where the receivers come off the board as well.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_03]: Could their guys know that were earlier than expected.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_03]: The only the one wild card I think is not talking enough.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_03]: I talked about enough is could the 49ers look corner.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_03]: could they go with an avion terrell, who seems to be in that late first early second, could it be a cult-inhood out of Tennessee?
- 17:57[SPEAKER_03]: You know, they have the on and all the North.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_03]: He's great.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_03]: They have Renato Green, who's not being as great, but they have spent the second day pick on him.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_03]: So obviously, he's, they're going to give him another chance.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_03]: And then, of course,
- 18:15[SPEAKER_03]: be facing some offense to a lot of heavy hitters that receive or the rams in the seahawks four times a year.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: Other other teams that might don't have the schedule in front of me, but I'm sure there's going to be other teams with deep receiver groups.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't think corner is out of the realm of possibility of ever.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yes, it's funny that you mentioned the the top 30 visits because I was just pulling that up.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: It does appear and obviously this is completely in less players or self reporting this.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: The Niners are not putting this out, but you mentioned, um,
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Widersyver's six reported visits there, including Concepts-Zion, Omar Cooper Jr. from Indiana, Denzel Boston from Washington, Chris Brassel, the second from Tennessee, also a kale Douglas from Texas Tech and Colby, young from Georgia.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: Four offensive tackles you mentioned low-move, but apparently, Kaden Proctor also on the list, Max, I and H.H.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: from Arizona State and Alex Harkio, I think, is a Lika later round option guy there, which that seems like that's almost certainly going to happen like a later round guy.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like, obviously, if they don't go first round, like I feel like they'll draft the tackle at some point.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, I don't know, obviously.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: Outside past pressure, three, a couple of defensive tackles, and then a linebacker, a tight end, and a one-safety call was Neski from Texas Tech.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: The time to end was Michael Trig from Baylor, and then linebacker Kendall Daniels from Oklahoma.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: So interesting that you note that I think that tells us something,
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: they've also gone off the reservation sometimes, and maybe they're just trying to like, like, roll teams into thinking, this is what they want to do, but they're not gonna do it like who knows.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: All right, OXA's, we talked about 27, I know you were thinking about something else as relates to 27, but maybe not 27.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so Jeremy, I'm really interested in what prospects you think the 49ers could and should trade up for.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: And in general, if you think this is a draft where there would be better off trading up, trading down or staying put in the first round, I'm like,
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: I know next year's draft is supposed to be really good and really deep.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: This year's draft I'm not like as like aware of.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: So, I guess, yeah, like what are a few names that if they're trickling down and they're sitting there at 2021, you think the Niner should pull the trigger on?
- 21:13[SPEAKER_03]: even if they get into the 20s, I would not at all bat an eye at the 49ers went the trade-off route.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_03]: Jermod McCoy, a corner from Tennessee.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_03]: This, one of the wild cards in the drop, you know, he was a top 10 prospect from his 2024 tape and then of course he had that injury,
- 21:41[SPEAKER_03]: By all accounts, his medical has gone well.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_03]: So what's going to happen, I think, is going to be very interesting in terms of his draft range.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_03]: I could see it going anywhere from 10 to 25.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: The talent is so good.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: But how many teams love his medical?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_03]: I really feel like it falls in the 20s.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_03]: Even though I don't think corner is the number one need for the 49ers.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think most people will think it's the number one need.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_03]: That's the name I think is in terms of like the top.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_03]: 15 on my board.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_03]: That's probably the one I would most like to see.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_03]: And then this came in city.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_03]: And I know some fans were like, oh, why don't we need to tie it in?
- 22:40[SPEAKER_03]: Do you not underestimate a Kyle Shanna Hanoffence that has George Kettle and came in to take it out?
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_03]: But that that is
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: you might as well give him a white lab coat and just like give him a like give him like a lair and and and something like that because he would love that and you know kiddos not getting any younger he's he's gonna need an air I like Jake conscious I don't think he's a number
- 23:17[SPEAKER_03]: You can spot, it can spot start for you.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: He can be a starter and you won't be too, too bad off.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: But I think in the longer term, they're gonna need to find it upgrade, but he can still be a guy that contributes right away, especially with Kittle going to be out for, for I think a little bit of the season, I think he's aiming to try to get back as soon as possible, but injuries that late are very tricky things.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_03]: And then the third name is Vega, you know,
- 23:45[SPEAKER_03]: But like, I don't say, it wouldn't surprise me if they weren't God.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_03]: For me, Eona is a top 10 prospect that's going to fall just due to a positional value, because he's not, he's not going to play that.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_03]: He's he's not a tackle, just end off.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_03]: If he falls into the 20s, why not trade up?
- 24:09[SPEAKER_03]: three, four, five, six and get yourself a decade, long solder, you know, a blocker is a blocker.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_03]: I've heard it's a tackler dot.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm all in on the kid into the big thing.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, yeah, like that.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: That sounds cool, um, like, weapon.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I have a hard time seeing him get past 20 at this point.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I just feel like
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: for whatever flaws teams might have seen in him, as soon as they'll those combatants, as soon as that combatants stuff started to come out, it was like, okay, like, oh boy, yeah, that would be nasty and fun and probably we wouldn't worry about whether or not we had another wider seever.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: But all again, it just feels like there's this like I said, I mean, I think beer slot right yeah, I mean, it comes a wider seever in in in in some way shape or form and I think you're right one I think you're right like like Shannon would just have a field day with that it's really hot.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's actually really hot.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_03]: It's fine.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_03]: a team that might take him once you get past 15 because I think the Ravens at 14 and the box at 15, maybe maybe you might find the Panthers at 19 maybe, but they do have bigger needs on those respective roster.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_03]: And so I don't feel it's out of the realm of possibility.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_03]: Evie gets out of the first half, because I've seen some teams mock him as choirs to Kansas City at nine, or to the Saints at eight.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's just a shade, just a shade too early.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_03]: And then you look down the list, you know, the dolphins need everything.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know if they're gonna spend a luxury pick on a tie to end.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_03]: the rams it's not outside the realm of possibilities but you stop it don't put that under the world you would you wouldn't bet there but then but then you go then you got the ravens yes the box yes the the jats
- 26:25[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't go so far as to say it solves the library's either problem, but you are correct, if we go up hanging city, the library's either becomes a much lesser thing, especially in the short term.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, because it's like he just doesn't use massive receiver sets anyway.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like he's going to have more than three or four, you know, past getters out there, not including Christian Kaffirir, Kyle used to check anyway.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: So it'll be really interesting to see, man, that would be that would be pretty cool.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: So while we're talking about sharing it, I actually have a quick question.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: first if that's all right.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: I like I really interested kind of generally mentioned a lot about team needs and like thinking about where a player is going to go.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: To like do you how much do you think a team should and does draft for need versus best player available?
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: And like like I just I'm just a little interested in like how do you what do you think is like the right way to draft because I think
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: There needs a little particular, but to me that's a place where you just take the best guy and figure it out because that's like more important, but I'm interested to know what you think about this.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_03]: That's not a personal standpoint.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_03]: I do think a team should go for
- 28:14[SPEAKER_03]: value over need.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's especially true to, I think it's especially true as it pertains to earlier picks, because if you're picking up the beginning of the draft, you have like I'm obviously a lot of different needs.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think in the case, and I think tangling city is a great example of this.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: The talent just outweighs like the needs,
- 28:41[SPEAKER_03]: a post rush they need an offensive lineman they're going to need to invest in the secondary but if hanging city goals, who's going to bad at night that I think I think it's a little bit of but because obviously you're not going to take a quarterback if they turn out to be the best player in your board if you're the 49ers and you're not going to take a linebacker.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, well, I wouldn't think you would take a line back anyway.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that I think positional mean does take a like a little bit in in a like a little tiny bit, but I think overall you want to look at value and you want to look not just about what's going to happen next season, but how you can address a need 10 to 15 years in the future too.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that makes sense.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I mean, certainly need, like, need probably comes into play to us, like, if you're deciding between two players, right?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you're like, well, we have both of these guys rated equally, but like you said, we, I mean, linebackers probably not a great first round example, but we have a full starting compliment of linebackers.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: If we draft a linebacker in the first round, there's no way he's gonna see the field, but we have another position,
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: who's more than likely, who's gonna have an option to start in year one, like if it all comes down to it at that point, maybe the need outweigh, the need is sort of like the deciding factor, but
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it's that the idea about like not reaching for for a player that that just because you need it.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I think if anything, the Niners are in a place where they don't have to do that in a draft like this, like they have specific needs that they can fill, but they don't have to do it at that particular moment if the player isn't the player they want.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: That seemed reasonable.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm last thought and then I'll stop getting us off track.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder NFL teams should be more willing to like draft and trade.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like you have there's three linebackers, but the like drafted linebacker or the prospect you think is going to be better than like your third linebacker.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't you draft them and then trade deck guy.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Can they do that?
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: The good.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: I get well, not the draft.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: But what do you think is he like Maddie?
- 31:19[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you mean like that you mean trade the player that's currently on their team, right?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly, right?
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so they drafted a linebacker just for the example.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, okay, well
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: not specifically saying we should trade D-winters, but you know what I mean?
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely not, but yeah.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: Just that, I don't know.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: Not really a coherent thought, just like, I feel like it's interesting that need seems so particular to like the NFL draft than any other like sports league draft.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk more about draft stuff at Promise in just a moment.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: But before we do that, we have to bring in our old friends at Underdog Fantasy.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: The second part of this podcast episode will be brought to you by those guys.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: The NBA playoffs are finally here and Underdog is the best place to get in on all the action.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: Playing on Underdog is easy.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: Just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like points, rebound, steals,
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: get your picks right, and you could win up to 5,000 times your cash.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_00]: So, Oksha's, it's your turn to tell us about your experience using the Underdog Fantasy app.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, everyone.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the Underdog Fantasy app is really simple.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: I was, I'm a big warrior's fan.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so for the playing game yesterday, I decided to go on the app to sort of, I don't know, amp of my already stressed out mind.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: And it was really easy to get to the game and pick the stats I was interested in.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: I lost terribly, but I had fun.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: It did what I wanted to do.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, like I always say, like with under no, it's just like it can be a fun way if you're
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: and put up your like engagement with every game you're watching so you can download the app today and use promo code noise to score $50 in bonus entries when you play your first $5 that's promo code noise under dark make picks when money must be 18 years older and 19 years older in Alabama and

- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: 21 years old during Arizona, Massachusetts, and Virginia, and President of the state were under drug fantasy operates.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: Terms apply, concerned with your play, call 1-100 my reset, or 1-800 gambler, or visit www.ensepegamelike.org.

- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: New York called the 21st seven hope line at 1-8778 Hope and Wire, text Hope and Wire, 4-677-369.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, there we go.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_00]: Jeremy, this is all the fun that you get to experience when you come on this podcast.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, so we talked about a trade-up.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen this next question, the seed of this next question.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: I should say float around in a couple of different places.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: Um, what about trading back, uh, out of the first round all together?
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: Four dinners are a little thin on draft picks.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, they have the first, the second, and then nothing until the fourth, and then what do they have, like, four picks in the fourth round, like, within a very short period of time.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: So they have some, probably, a little bit of ability to move with those fourth round picks.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: But, man, this is a team that tends to make its money graphics on day three in a lot of cases, so I've seen things like if Ty Simpson, who is apparently
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'll use the word consensus, so you'll feel free to make that not true.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: Number two quarterback in this draft.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: So if there's a team like, I don't know, the Arizona Cardinals or some other team that's picking early in the first rounds.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: That is, needs a quarterback, a long-term answer, a quarterback, but doesn't really feel really great about Simpson that early, but would like the fifth-year option thing there.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: What, what Jeremy will start with you, and then I'll just feel free to to chime in on this.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: What do we feel about that move?
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like if a team like that came and said, we want 27 and you can have, I don't know, a third round and a fifth round pick or something like that, in addition.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_03]: I think with a second, by the way, with this idea, I did, I did think that tribe was looking a little thin, um, I think the, it's really not to say because next year's class is meant to be so full of quarterbacks that we could see maybe six or seven go in the first two to three rounds, although obviously might change by the time we get to this time this year.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think the idea that there's going to be a stronger quarterback class is going to maybe dry up that market.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_03]: We may not see teams do what the giants did last year and trade back in for Jackson Dart.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_03]: I think there's two, the two most obvious candidates are Arizona and the New York Jets.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know how good.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_03]: 49ers' hands will feel about giving a quarterback to an NFC rival.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like you could bust and it could be like amazing, but he could also be their franchise quarterback, which is obviously something that the team has struggled with, you know, that they tried to fix that with Kyla Murray and they ended up giving us Nick Bosa, so thank you for that, Arizona.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_03]: If the jets, I think to the jets,
- 37:05[SPEAKER_03]: desperate enough.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_03]: And I think the really interesting thing might be because the jets are not a patient's organization in general.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_03]: They're not really like us dealers or Ravens or even a 49ers organization that likes to give their general manager and their coach kind to
- 37:29[SPEAKER_03]: really make the roster their own.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_03]: Could they be tempted into a panic move?
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: Could the 49ers cool the jacks and say when picked 26 is on the clock?
- 37:43[SPEAKER_03]: Or even if they're on the clock at 27 and say this is the 27 pick, we'll give it to you for pick 33 because they hold that ever so popular top pick in the second round.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_03]: We'll give you pick 33.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_03]: And then, as you mentioned, maybe a third and a fifth or something like that.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have the Jackson dark tray in front of me, but it would be something similar to that.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: I would imagine that's probably the only wrong possibility I see.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_03]: trading gown unless there was just some prospect that came down the board, that the 49ers wouldn't be interested in it.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_03]: Another team just simply had to have, but predicting that is a is a false air-end unit in a post, like a realm of possibilities for that and bought dress or enough of a false air-infameter to even try guessing what that would be.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_03]: So I would say
- 38:38[SPEAKER_03]: and the 49ers run the board and they can tempt them.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_03]: Then that might be the one provision I could see them training down.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_00]: The Jackson Dars trade by the way.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: Hold on.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_00]: Giant's trader from 34 to 25.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: This actually feels rather light to me.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_00]: For pick 99, which is a third pick into the third.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and a future and a future third.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: see her man I really feel like I mean I mean you would trade down you you would trade down a hand look at a half dozen picks for two birds I yeah it's not it's not too bad it would be interesting to see like the Niners were like we really just want like picks for this year and then maybe they take a fifth or a seventh or something or a sixth or something like that because they're like we need them right now so much but sorry
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, so I just looked at the Jackson Trader chart.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think has any value anymore useful tool.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: And that actually seems like pretty, pretty consistent with the Trader chart, two thirds.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: So who knows, maybe it was a little bit of a,
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: What I was going to say is just that Jeremy's proposal reminds me of like the draft day movie scene where like the jag wears and whatever or like messing out and they're like, why is he falling man is like, I don't know, but I think you want to get out and give me the pick and move on.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't like it would be neat if that was like that's what happened, but I agree like I personally don't really, I've never cared about the trading in the draft with the division rival.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm just stopped talking midthought.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_00]: Jeremy is still there.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm here.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you should.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_03]: We have a lot of stuff.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_03]: I'll try to pick up that train with what if this they can.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_03]: I think trading with divisional rivals is a very, it's going to end up very, very good or very, very bad because any of them you do have a little rivals obviously amplified.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: So the good, if it's a good outcome, that's going to be amplified if it's a bad one.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be amplified.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think part of the equation, at least in terms of how you would feel about it as a 49 as a scenario out there, is if you think Tyson's going to be a bust or if he's going to be a good quarterback, we're back going too far into it because obviously I didn't do a lot of work on quarterbacks.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_03]: It's not really a position the 49 is going to look at.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_03]: very wary of high round quarterback crossbacks that only have like a handful starts.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_03]: Fifteen stars.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_03]: I think to Anthony Richardson.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_03]: When everyone fell in love with him, he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from 10 yards out, but could hit perfect rainbows from 60 yards and everyone loved him.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_03]: And he had a handful of starts at Florida.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think Tiasim's scene is that it's fishing in terms of his skill set, but I do think that not having a lot of experience with one of the things that I've
- 42:19[SPEAKER_03]: sense of better about a day to pick.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_03]: So if it's a cardinal speed, maybe over pay a little bit, say a second and a third, say like a, their second this year, a third this year and a second next year.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_03]: I would probably pull the trigger.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't feel amazing about it, but I would feel better about it.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_03]: trading with a divisional rival is such a issue in terms of the fixed that I'd probably just prefer to trade with the jets.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: Mark says, did you want to finish your thought?
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Jeremy kind of did, but, you know, I mean, like, I don't know.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like, there's 31 other teams.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: You got to do what's best for you, like,
- 43:15[SPEAKER_01]: I can certainly get less concerned about quote-unquote helping another team like traits are supposed to be win-wins ideally like I remember this is a bad example because it didn't work out but when the bills traded back with the chiefs and the chiefs drafted Z to really and then the bills drafted key on Coleman everyone was like how could you do that I thought it was fine now obviously it wasn't fine it's so maybe
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I'm wrong here, but yeah, everyone's just enough, right?
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: Based on Jeremy's description of Ty Simpson, I feel like trade that pick.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: It sounds like he'd be the, he'd be a great next quarterback for theirs on a cardinals.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: Bring it on.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_00]: I joke.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: Um, anyway, so, uh, so, uh,
- 44:05[SPEAKER_00]: Before we talk about because I've been spending a lot of time in the first round We didn't need to talk about rounds two and four a little bit and just kind of talk generally about what they could do but So this is this is me Just some names that are interesting to me as I've said a bunch of times on this podcast and every time that we do this I am not as locked into the college football
- 44:28[SPEAKER_00]: atmosphere and all that stuff as as obviously others are and Jeremy as you are and and all that stuff but there are some names that have that have come out um that that have that have struck my interest in some ways to perform three of them we've already mentioned and there are three guys at the 49ers of reportedly met with on their top 30 visits the other is a name that I've been sort of floating around um in the midst of all the college football playoff stuff because I started to pay a little bit of attention there
- 44:58[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to talk a ton about them.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think three of them are, or two of them are probably first options of 27.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: The other, I'm not sure about the other one I don't think is a 27 guy, but probably more of a second round option.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll throw the names at you, Jeremy, you do with them what you will.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll be talking about the two first round options first, and that's Omar Cooper, and Denzel Boston, Omar Cooper, both wider seabers, Cooper from Indiana and Denzel Boston, from Washington.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll start there and you can just kind of talk about them a little bit like what do you think is that are they options at 27?
- 45:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think any receiver in that light first bubble, as it were, is going to be an auction.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_03]: I am not really a hundred percent sure they're going to be there in my mouth that I've just sort of reshuffled in the wife of the large trade, not worth them actually got to
- 46:04[SPEAKER_03]: which I was getting a bit more I mean we we've talked about rises and fall is uh in the in the drop sometimes it's just a matter of that like we we're slower to catch up on what teams think of certain prospects but I think teams are probably a lot a little bit higher in what Oma people was able to do it in the honor.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_03]: Denzel Boston is very interesting I think
- 46:33[SPEAKER_03]: to the browns, but I think if he slides back, he certainly fits the mold of what the boy and I was lacking there were seabers.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_03]: And I think he certainly in play.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to put percentages because they lay in the first round in some bit of a crap through sometimes.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_03]: If I think there's probably like a 20% count, that tuber is going to be there and maybe
- 46:56[SPEAKER_03]: Well, say, 50 to 60% maybe for Boston.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_03]: So I would say Superfell's 27, I would say is the favorite, but I think of all the wide receiver prospects at the end of the first round, he's probably the one the fans are gonna want them most.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_03]: I think I prefer conception a little bit more just personally, but I think I'm a little higher on in the most people are, but I would definitely think if Cooper slid 27, that would definitely be the pick.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_03]: I would say probably the favorite if he slid in 27.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oxygen's Dhamony names to add to the I have two more, but Dhamony like
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, like pretty sure they're going to be first round option guys to add to the mix.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, um, I'm some interested in a key messador.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, I don't know, sound your list wrong or just because he to me is such a fascinating defensive end prospect.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's older on the older side.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: And like it doesn't seem like he has those like high
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: that you would want to see in a first round defensive end, but like he's productive.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm interested Jeremy in what you think about messador and just like, yeah, like, maybe the edge class around 27 writ large, but a particularly messy door.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_03]: I have to confess I am slightly biased against older rookies in the first round.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I haven't just actually sneaked into the first round as a matter of fact, I think I think the for the 49 is it makes sense, just simply because the thing, the, a past rushing specialist up again for Nick Bosa, I've been mentioned for Michael Williams is not really a pure edge rusher.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_03]: He might move into the inside.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_03]: So it's certainly in need.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't
- 49:35[SPEAKER_03]: if he's like a guy that the 49 and so it's a zoning in on, I haven't heard anything but that's not necessarily surprising the 49ers are pretty tight lips with this sort of stuff so that's not really an indication.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_03]: But I wouldn't love it, you know, it wouldn't be in my top 10 prospects.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_03]: I would say that I'd like to see the 49ers take, but I would get it.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_03]: I would understand
- 50:04[SPEAKER_03]: specialist that can come in and and you know he's going to have Nick Boster on the other side so you want to be the center of attention So I would at least get how old is he?
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's 20.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, that is old.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: I mean old old for a football We're not going to do that game is a game that we're not going to play um
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: let me throw another name since you're talking about edge wrestlers let me throw another name into the mix and i think he is probably the most like like broad like i've seen
- 50:39[SPEAKER_00]: just from looking through mock drafts, from different draft sectors and stuff like that.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen him all over the map in terms of where he could go.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_00]: And that's Malicoi Lawrence, University of Central Florida, I believe.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_00]: They had brought him in reportedly for a top 30 visit.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_00]: So the interest or at least the interest to figure out a little bit more about him is there.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think he tested pretty well the combine too.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: So there's the athleticism seems to be in play,
- 51:09[SPEAKER_00]: But beyond that, I don't know where he ends up, and maybe this is an opportunity to kind of move into the conversation about what to do and round two and four, as well.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_03]: If we did that twice in Sinahap effective trade, this would make a lot of sense to me.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_03]: The other, the one indication as well,
- 51:37[SPEAKER_03]: Unless you're a drop nerd, life made you don't necessarily realize how teams really calculate first round picks.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_03]: Players who have first, like, you did great in first round second round, etc.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_03]: So even though it's pretty too picks in the first round teams are just never going to have 32 first round grades on players, they might grade.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_03]: 15, 20 players as first round and then second round and so on and so forth.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_03]: This is where both the fun and the frustration of picking 27 comes in, because I think Malachi Lawrence is a second round pick, but because teams that pick this late are almost never going to have guys they have rated first round come full to them.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_03]: This could be, this could be a dark horse pick.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: I honestly would not be shocked because we've seen the 49ers do it before, late in the first round, even Ricky Piercele, I was actually, I was actually Ricky Piercele's actually perfect comparison in this situation because he was a very late first round pick.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe a mid-second round guy, I would say I think most people might have had them just inside the top 50.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_03]: But because obviously teams are not going to have that many first round picks, like bright grades.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_03]: Before you know, I just liked them and just picked them at 30.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_03]: 30 of it.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_03]: I forget, 30 of it.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: Whichever it was.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_00]: It was 31.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_03]: 31.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_03]: There you go.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_03]: Picked in my third one.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's, oh, we smooth answer before.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_03]: He's, he's, he has trouble getting on the field, but when he's actually on the field, I don't think anyone cares because I think everyone agrees that when he's on the field he's a first round talent.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_03]: That to me is a perfect
- 53:34[SPEAKER_03]: description of a can of a can of a can of like my tolerance.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's a top 50 prospects.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he would slide back to the 49 second round pick.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_03]: I personally don't have him in my 32, but it wouldn't shock me if he'd be snocking there in the back end.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, um, I remind you that
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I just have the, I remember a witch saying that they like had foster third on their board.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which I think was because they basically disregarded everything other than like his play on the field.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_01]: But I think it's a great point that like there's a lot more personal taste involved once you're drafting outside the top 15 maybe.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_01]: So, super, super interesting.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I've got one more name to talk to, to throw out there and then we can talk about just like other players that you like that could be options later in the later in the draft and that's Elijah Sarat talking speaking of
- 54:52[SPEAKER_00]: Indiana Wider Severs.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_00]: The first time I saw him, the first thing that popped in my head was this is like John Jennings a little bit.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's quite quite the same size, but very similar in terms of like he's got that feisty edge to him.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's probably a little bit
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: better of a receiver than Jennings was coming out of Tennessee, but would be an interesting guy, especially if they go, you know, address her offensive tackle at 27 at 58 if he falls that far.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think he, I think at 49ers do not go receiver in the first round.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_03]: He would be a perfect
- 55:39[SPEAKER_03]: selection.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_03]: I really think that makes a lot of sense.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's sort of weird.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_03]: I sort of don't take end of second beginning of the third, but I think in some weird way, it just makes sense.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_03]: The Cinderella story of Indiana going undecided and winning the national title, you know,
- 56:04[SPEAKER_03]: Before that, we would never have seen Fernando Mentos a good number one, spoiler alert for anyone not this thing, he's going number one.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_03]: I would never have a year ago have put Oma Cooper in the top 160, let alone 16.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_03]: And Serat wasn't really someone on my radar at all.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he was there, he might have been a third day.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_03]: But I think he is going to go well inside day two.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_03]: So, where he falls is going to be interesting, and I think it's also going to depend on that if there's going to be a run on receivers in the first round, but Evie's there when the 49ers are picking at 62, and I just have to give them a normal.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, 50, I think.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, which pick is it?
- 56:53[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_03]: Don't worry.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, 50.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_03]: Evie's there at 58, and the 49ers are gone.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_03]: edge or tackle whatever the situation may be.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would be on board with that.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think he is a wacky city's in that maybe not the exact replica of Jaylon Jennings or he certainly shares a lot of those same characteristics.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think the obviously Mike Evans is going to have to fill that role and the Christian Kirk is going to be there as well, but she's going to need that long-term
- 57:31[SPEAKER_03]: big bodied receiver type.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_03]: So I think he would be a great compliment to Ricky Cursele.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like him a lot.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's I mean, he knows I think you're right like the the Indiana that all is certainly putting a lot of shine on a lot of those players, but I think that just happens, right?
- 57:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's just like players come out of nowhere when their teams do do well and that sometimes that that puts them in a position and they just got to take advantage of it, but
- 58:01[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what happens in that regard.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, um, I think we lost OXOS, maybe.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, it's hard to tell you.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm here.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you see here.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm here.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm here.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_00]: All right, OXOS, any other names before we get into rounds two and four here?
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: Well, so I'm going to jump the gun for a later round guide that I would really interested to hear your thoughts on Jeremy and that's Jason Barnum from Michigan who I think I think the athletic and Matt Barrow's mentioned him as like a potential option for like the sort of like leaner edge that can drop back that
- 58:39[SPEAKER_01]: or he Morris is often had.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm curious like what you think.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean his career is super interesting.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_01]: He was an offline linebacker up until his senior year, or his final year, then
- 58:51[SPEAKER_01]: got put in an edge roll.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_01]: So around, let's say like, I don't know when he's slated to be drafted, round two, round four.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what do you think about him?
- 59:02[SPEAKER_01]: But also like, players like him, like this like, leaner, hybrid edge player.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_01]: To what extent do you think that's a need?
- 59:09[SPEAKER_01]: And like, how does the draft fall in terms of where's a good time to sort of address that position?
- 59:17[SPEAKER_03]: It's really interesting.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_03]: I've had to like hybrid post restrooms are not really something that's in the DNA of the 49ers in general, but we are seeing trends in that direction, aren't we?
- 59:33[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's actually a big story to pick two of the drafts of the the jet's take the traditional edge in David Bailey
- 59:46[SPEAKER_03]: race.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not too sure.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_03]: It was, it was, it was the name, sorry, again.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_03]: I used to look at outside of my mind.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Jason Barnum from Michigan.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I, um, I have, I have to confess he wasn't someone that was really on my, my radar in terms of the 49ers are concerned.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_03]: Um,
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_03]: So I think in that regard, it's going to be a matter of taste for the 49ers.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_03]: I don't really see him, but I'm just trying to think, I think, I think one of the forefront picks could be, I'm not sure if he's going to go early in that unless a team really likes him.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_03]: I must confess, I must admit it's not a name, I'm awful, I was awful really with this pre-draft process, but I think just hybrid rushes in general, I'm not really
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_03]: in terms of the 49ers, um, brought a toss rush velocity.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_03]: I was saying, I think they might, um, looking to heavy hitters in the end of the first round.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think if it's going to be a hybrid past russia, it would probably be someone that's a little bit more towards the day free.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe end of day two, um,
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't think it's going to be an early pick.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_03]: I would be, I guess I would say I'm a would be a little surprised if they picked the hybrid post-Russia.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't hate it, but I think he would be a ramp for selection for the 49ers.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: Good to know.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_00]: So let's finish up with just drop us some names, some guys that you think.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_00]: Just guys you like that you think could be available at either, in either round two, or with that bevy of round four options, just give us a couple of names to watch out for.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_03]: the interior lineman from Florida.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen some more props having one day free.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's going to be way too late for him.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_03]: I would be shocked if he still going on day two.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think having a versatile interior lineman, I think the 49ers, obviously, we talked about left guard, they're going to need to think about center in the future as well.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_03]: So we talk a lot about center, as I guard, the bigger part of that can move over to tackle in the long term.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_03]: I think this is almost the other way, a guard that's going to slide it to center at some point.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_03]: She's probably my number one prospect in terms of their second round pit.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_03]: Looking me into day four, there's two names I'd love to see called.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if we'll get them, but I'd love to see gold, Julian Meal, the corner back out of Arkansas, and then Cairon Colford, the edge out of
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_03]: I think they're going to be very high value guys that outperform their drop position.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_03]: I think Prophet in particular, he's had five sacks, nine and a half tackles for loss, recorded 43 quarterback pressures.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_03]: So the guy that can get into the backfield, more of a post rushing specialist.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_03]: So he's not going to, that's why he's not an earlier prospect, but I think obviously,
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_03]: in the fourth round you're not going to object to just picking someone you can just key off on the quarter pack and then Julian Neil, he's a really good size 62200 pounds, had 55 tackles to intersections in 10 passes defender, a really strong run defender, which obviously is a must when it comes to 49st defenses, those are the
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's a bear, it could too.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_00]: San Francisco public schools, what did they say?
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's the first player from San Francisco public schools and like.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_00]: maybe multiple decades to get a division one scholarship, which is wild to me, I guess San Francisco Public Schools just don't think football is that important, which is interesting, but that would be cool to see.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so there's one other name that I remembered, and I think he's a possibility in like a fourth round guy.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about tight ends.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_00]: Correct me if the name is wrong.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_00]: Anyone?
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's a tight end.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_00]: I tried to.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's a tight end.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's a any any thoughts about about that one.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's this might be the lamest place to go, but just popped in my head right now.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think I think it does make a lesson in the middle.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_03]: It's not the deepest.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_03]: Not the deepest class, so I wouldn't surprised me some tight ends get a little bit overdrafted.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_03]: I think delts in that day to day free bubble.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_03]: I would say, if you felt around for, I think that's actually a very good value selection, because I don't think his production
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_03]: He's a ability if that makes sense and I actually so it actually sort of reminds me a bit of George Kiddled in a way because I think if we remember George Kiddled the college player he stats were not by any means leaving off the screen
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_03]: And but he had the physical tools to develop into a, well, I mean, we would think he would be a hall of finger, but if not a hall of finger, the next level below that.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so I think that's a really high-up site swing for a round four pick.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_03]: If he found his way there, I would have an assuming
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_03]: I would definitely take a flyer.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_03]: I think a tight end is got one to be one of the selections it makes sense to invest in the position, just simply because we don't know.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_03]: If what Jake's on just showed is going to be like a once it wonder or not, and obviously kill us a bit older, I think I've made round development with make a ton of sense.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_03]: And I think don't can go in round three.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_03]: So I would be very happy with that solution.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's a big kid, 65, 245 can move pretty well though for, I got that kit.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's nice.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I have another throwing name out guy who I'm interested to get your thoughts on Jeremy I'm so I'm going to butcher his last name.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's Eliah Heinrich out of Navy.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he's popped up at all in your like pre-drift.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_01]: So now he's like a combo, like running back, tight in, weather seever, do it all.
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, maybe his offense is a little weird.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_01]: But I've seen him mocked slash discussed at length.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_01]: Sort of in connection with the 49ers and interested in whether you think he's the type of weapon that would be good to add in the mid to later round.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think I'm gonna say, I didn't write, but I could be completely wrong there.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_03]: I do love gadget receivers because I think in terms of gadget players, those make so much sense for what the 49ers like to do, you know, we think back to like Debo Samuel, you know, he was really in all all attempts and purposes.
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_03]: He wasn't really a true receiver.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_03]: He was like a multi-fixit he'll line here, he'll line there.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_03]: I actually have to, but I have to confess, I am not sure where hiding right would be at selected.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it would be before day free.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's really, it's really interesting.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_03]: I have to admit the idea of adding a gadget receiver to try to replicate what Deva Samuel was for the team would make a lot of sense.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_03]: just pulling up his information.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, six, six, seven, repeat, all, 100, 98 pounds.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's not something I would just certainly hate for a round for a pick.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_03]: I think I think the 49ers for loss that he has to be assuming they're not going to try to trade them from those round for picks.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't see why they would.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_03]: Because this is not considered a deeper draft.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_03]: You always have to treat the last few
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_03]: round four picks almost like round seven picks and a few someone on the board that you want to take a swing on even if you might be overdrafting them like in terms of like oh this guy's going to be round six round seven pick is being picked around four I think you have to have that philosophy when you have your lost picks and round four and this really not really
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah, so it's, it is interesting to me because obviously the Niners don't have any picks after after day after round four and nothing in round three because of the OSA trade, um, it will be a different viewing perspective and from the from a Niners draft standpoint, or used to them having like a lot of draft picks and they just don't have that many this year for various reasons.
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_00]: All right, well, this has been fun.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_00]: It has always fun to bring Jeremy on and to have you talk about the draft.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_00]: I want to open it up free space.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Does anybody have any final things that they want to say about the draft or anybody want to make a prediction or anything that they think is going to happen?
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_00]: And it doesn't have to be like the first round pick or just something you're like, I think this is definitely going to happen.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just throwing some ideas out here as we get into the end of the podcast.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_03]: And we just please have no more NFL teams trading top 10 picks before the beginning of the draft because it's surprising we hardly told this drop that I've been working on I will do all I can't just stop that journey someone just send us down where did I go something that's how we do it, yeah, my guess is going to be better.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_01]: NFC walls teams are going to like three picks in the first round and and what I mean by that is I think the Rams are going to trade the Rams are going to pick and I think the cardinals are going to choose and I think the nanners are going to choose and see actually going to trade it out.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, all right.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
- 1:11:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's good.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's a block.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're going to be a lot of trades.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_01]: I wish we asked you about this journey about like just the amount of trades, but that's what I guess is that people are going to be flying all around the board just with 20, 26 draft picks.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_03]: I like it that's it's it's one of those things we're predicting trades is never easy to begin with.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_03]: I think a lot of teams will like to trade down and try to get clicks in next year's draft.
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how laughing that's going to be, which makes me
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_03]: 3s see what the Dallas Cowboys are going to do just because their roommates really want to be trading up.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_03]: So it'd be interesting to see how many trades we do have.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_03]: I think we'll get a few.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_03]: I think there's always a few that pop up here and there, but I wouldn't expect a lot.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_03]: I would expect maybe.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_03]: If we don't count the train that came through today, I would probably say maybe three or four, maybe five.
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_03]: But I'll figure a lot of those are gonna be in the later ends of the first round.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like it.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna go less, less interesting and I'm just gonna say, I think the 49ers are going to take a wider seaver at 27.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not going to pick the name, I just think it's going to be whoever they think is their best option left over from the whoever's there at 27.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's not to have a story.
- 1:13:02[SPEAKER_03]: I don't get that.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_03]: I don't get that luxury because I make a mock up.
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_03]: So that's true.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_03]: I. I don't get to play positions.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to say as I think conception is.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_03]: The motion.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'll have a D-B-O-S because I don't know how how much it's always going to be in life as a running back.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_03]: But I think in terms of getting open his ability to just be a lethal, frightening open space, this need to work on the drops.
- 1:13:31[SPEAKER_03]: But I think in just my whole absolute stance as the best open field yards off the catch receiver that the 49ers love to insert in their offense.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm gonna stick with, I'm gonna do a last minute, one,
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_03]: of the day before the draft, but I don't foresee the pitch changing at least as far as the whiteness is concerned.
- 1:13:56[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing wrong with that.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_00]: So far as I'm concerned, that all sounds good.
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that here's my, here's my final thought in Lazaksas as has one.
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think they just need to pick good players that are going to make them better in 2020, in in 2020, 26 season.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I agree a wholeheartedly with this flat adjustment that they should pick good players who I want them to draft.
- 1:14:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, of course.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_01]: Last year where I spent like two days angsting over Will Johnson.
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, has he done?
- 1:14:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's he did.
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_01]: It would have been really great.
- 1:14:29[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, good work you here, any of them totally inside, but like it would be nice if they like agreed with me and I was also right both of those things would be great, but I'm I agree like it's a it's a it's a time to replenish I mean They're in a really tough spot and so far the two best teams in the NFL are in their division they might be like the fifth as team in the NFL or like seven so like it's an arms race so
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be really exciting to see what guys they come up with.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that all sounds good to me.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_00]: Jeremy, any final thoughts for a rep this thing up?
- 1:15:08[SPEAKER_03]: I just think it's going to be a really exciting, really exciting, drawn through sheer unpredictability.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_03]: We are going to have this year.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_03]: We know the first pick is going to be, and that's it.
- 1:15:21[SPEAKER_03]: Usually, usually we're very assured,
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_03]: I can safely say anyone that says they know what any other team is going to do, they are lying through their teeth.
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_03]: So I think it's going to be an exciting, exciting draw.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_00]: And what time is the draft start for you?
- 1:15:42[SPEAKER_00]: What's the hour?
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's a good point.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I believe it's 10, I believe it's 10 30, but I'm just quickly To garner up because I don't know if I don't know if I'm thinking a Australian Eastern standard time, which is not the same Did time like We're learning a little more to the west and evening Learning some of the things about this
- 1:16:04[SPEAKER_03]: That's not, it's not pretty.
- 1:16:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's 9.30.
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_00]: Wake up.
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_00]: Wake up.
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy the draft.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_00]: Good stuff.

- 1:16:20[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like we've said this a bunch of times.
- 1:16:23[SPEAKER_00]: But Oksha's and I are often ill prepared to discuss how the text went.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe some time between now and
- 1:16:31[SPEAKER_00]: after the picks will have you we can we can figure out a time for you to come back and you can talk about like Well, I made sense that didn't make any sense if if if we can find a time we can make that work, so Cuz oxygen energy like yeah, that's cool
- 1:16:45[SPEAKER_00]: I should say I'm like that.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if Fox has agrees with his with that sentiment.
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_00]: But all right.
