Transcript
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: Happy Friday, everybody.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: Tommy Gristaffi, Eggbull Media, EggBoyTrading.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: You're listening to Friday, September 25th, which, by the way, is a little Dolly Parton day here in Nashville, working 9 to 5.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Stick around.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: We're going to have a fun, exciting Egg Squawk.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: Well, from behind the intrepid trapezoidal microphone of Bagbull, this is Tommy Gersafi with Egg Squawk in this afternoon for Mr.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Davis Michelson as he makes his way back to KC.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Now rumors are all around the street that he's not coming back.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: He joined the army.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: Maybe the fella just needs a little time off, a little family time.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: How's your fall going?
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Drop us a comment down below.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Of course, we ask you all.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: We need your help.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Click like, subscribe.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: This is a free show.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: We need you to text it to a friend and say, you know what?
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: These boys and girls are putting out a couple shows a day.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: Ag squawk AM with Mr.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Jed Sidwell, and of course, Ag Squawk in the afternoon with Davis Michelson.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: He'll be back with you on Monday.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: But as we start our day, we got a nice tight show and some really important things happening.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: We tried to build this show a little earlier.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: We had to scrap that one because the markets had a different plan.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Let's bring them in here.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: I think I got some entry music here.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Oh, the grain markets here.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Let's go over corn.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Is this one?
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Let's bring them in.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: I need a little help.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Let's go all the way out to Colorado.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Bring in Mr.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Jed Sidwell.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Why are you laughing?
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: The sound cracks me up every single time.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: It does.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Well, you're popping charts up, and I with my bifocals.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: By the way, I went to the eye doctor this week, got new glasses, new contacts.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: I had to get prescription sunglasses with bifocals.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: Oof the$2,000 right out of the old Ag Bull account.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: How many fingers am I holding up?
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: How many fingers am I holding up?
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: Well, last night I would have thought those were three.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Maybe today I think they're four.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: How y'all holding up out there?
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: How's harvest going?
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: Are you listening from the tractor, the combine?
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: You getting yelled at in the grain cart.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Are you too wet to get out there?
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: We want to know.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: We want to hear from you.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: Give us a call.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Jed, how do they get a hold of us?
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: 1-855-737 Farm.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Well, y'all know Jed from the morning show.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: You know me from just hanging around.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: We got some serious stuff to talk about.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Let's load up the charts and get to the show.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Well, this first one here is a corn chart, Tommy.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: 15 minute kind of just showing what happened overnight and into this morningslash today.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: And wow, talk about a movement.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: Turn that frown upside down.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: I sent a text to paid clients this morning, and I said the best way, many of you want to buy a dip.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: The best way to buy a dip is to actually buy it, to go buy corn or soybeans or wheat calls, because so many of you have sold your grain to cash flow.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: And that is not a speculative trade.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: That is a hedge recommendation to sell grain and own it on paper.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: And we're going to get into the show later on why it's so important to get to cash.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Now, all out on the interweb, Jed, you hear these folks, and they may be right.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: We won't know till after.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: $6 corn,$6.50,$7 corn.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: Just Google it.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: Google it, folks.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: There's people putting out shorts and reels claiming these prices.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: We got really close to the lower end of$5.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: We pierced$13 in Nova soybeans, which is still a phenomenal price for harvest.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: But yes, if you want to have bushels, if you want to retain ownership, if you want to turn your grain into cash, we want to buy dips, and we don't want to watch the market rally for five, six days and say, I'm getting bullish.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: So the scariest time to buy a market is about 6:30 this morning on a Friday when you're waking up and you see corn down 10, beans down 17, wheat down 22.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: And now we traded up on the day.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: Give us a little color on that, Jed.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: It happened quick, didn't it, my friend?
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it did.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, we had this news overnight, and we'll talk about that some more in a bit.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And I mean, that certainly affected things, not to mention just the hog market is absolutely crazy.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: I had a buddy that works for Smithfield, and he was trying to claim that uh corn was because of all the hog action after that pig and hog report that came out yesterday.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot of news floating around out there, but the big one is the Trump and Iran situation where they're claiming that they'll reopen the Strait of Hormouths.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: Now let's talk about the hogs a little bit.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: I did see some chatter.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: How much price action did we have in hogs here?
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Oh, we traded higher, we traded lower, but nothing too crazy, did we?
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: No, I mean in hogs have had a kind of rough past couple weeks, kind of chipping down just a little bit slower, kind of in all of the months.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: So it's been just a little bit interesting to watch it kind of just chip away at those prices.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: Let me quote up the markets.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: I always like to do that.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: We are recording the show officially at 12.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: We're going a little early today.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: I have to get out of Nashville here before the traffic gets me.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: But at 12 o'clock, we have dies corn, 527, down a half.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: We have no beans 1319 up one and a half.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: We have border trade wheat down four.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Let me quote it up 703.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: Let's even talk oats.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Oats down seven cents, 415.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: Oats have really been squirrely lately.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Soybean meal, which has been a high flyer.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: We talked earlier in the week about that Oc D meal spread, harvest delays, some hot cash markets.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: Folks, check those cash markets if you can get out there and get those beans.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: If you can sweep those bins, some people in parts of the country are willing to pay a dollar over the board of trade, but they need them yesterday.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Soybean oil up on the day, can city wheat down 4762 and a half.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: These are all decent prices here.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Hard red spring wheat.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: Big shout out to our friends up in North Dakota.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: You betcha.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: Hard red spring wheat 718 down two cents.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: Looking over at Canola for our friends from Canada.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Canola 825 down a little bit.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: All these markets were deep in the red.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: They're coming back.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: Let's move over to outside markets a little bit because that's going to tie into what we talk about with the 10 years, Mr.
- 6:22SPEAKER_01: Jed Sidwell.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: SP 500 up 30, NASDAQ up 100.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Gold, gold, I'll get to gold in a bit, but crude oil down 250.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: I think you have some color on that, Jed.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Looking at the gold up$27,$43.25, silver$64.81 up 80 cents.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: Mr.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: Jed Sidwell, help me out.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: Give us a little color, brother.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like like I said just a little bit ago, and maybe I'll pop on that headline here real quick because I talked about it here in the morning show.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: I ran offers.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: You do a morning show?
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I do a morning show every day.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: I wake up and I just put a shirt on.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: I'm actually just in my my tidy whites in the bottom half.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: But I wake up early in the morning and I do a morning show.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: We call it Ag Squawk AM.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: It's five minutes long and it's yeah, pretty effective, I think.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: But it's uh we're getting some we've grown some popularity.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: Views are going up, folks.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: You can see all those shows.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: Uh we have a pop-up that Jed under banners.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: If you want to watch Ag Squawk AM or Ag Squawk PM, how do you do it?
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: You can go to Apple, you can go to Spotify, you can go to here we go.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: Right there, baby.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: Jed, click on click on the draw.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: He's out in Colorado today.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Watch, listen, follow AGSquawk AM and PM available on YouTube.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: Apple Spotify.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: All videos X restreamed at 8 15 in the morning and 8 15 at night.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: Of course, the second they come out, hit that notifications button on your apps, and the second it comes down, you'll get a pop-up.
- 7:49SPEAKER_01: I get them all.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Apple, I subscribe.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: You might as well too.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: It's free.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: And there's some really good free channels out there.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: And there's some good free pay for channels too.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: While we're doing that, Jed, let's talk about the paid for service:$25 a month,$250 annually.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: That's AgBull Intel.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: Go to the AgBull website, AG Bull, if you want to take the next level.
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: If you want those texts to your phones, sometimes I send one text a day, sometimes none.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: I've sent out four texts already today.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: You're busy, you don't have time to be looking at all this stuff, but we do.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: While we're on it, if you did want real-time quotes or anything else like that, we use plus 500 T4 is our preferred trading quote software.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: Plus 500 is our FCM of choice, futures clearing merchant.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: We have a good relationship with uh the good folks at uh plus 500, the Cunningham family.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: And uh that's where we do our trades through and uh get our quotes here on our handy dandy phone.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: And like I said on the show the other day, sometimes having real lifetime quotes jets a hindrance.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: I mean, it it it you can be clicking and clicking.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: It depends on what your time frame is.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: A farmer has about 18 months to sell a crop from before they plant it to when they plant it to after they harvest it.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: So we don't want you to become a day trader, we want you to be a disciplined hedger, bonding crop insurance with futures and options.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: We want you to sleep well at night.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: So if you wake up in the morning and you see these markets down, you're not in freak out mode.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: No good decisions are ever made, panicking.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: Trust me.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: Look at the charts from big times the market sold off.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: Look at the any time the stock market sold off, the big debacle in 07-08, buying opportunity of a lifetime, COVID, buying opportunity of a lifetime.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: Now, those are stocks.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: Commodities don't trade that way, folks.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: Commodities are meant to be sold, hedged, protected because we're becoming more efficient and growing them.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: We're becoming bigger and better.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: The job of the market, and remember that time we had that nasty comment, but I'll say it again, I'm not scared.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: Hell with it.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: It's my show.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: The job of the market is to get you to produce as much high-quality goods at the lowest rate.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: If you won't do it, someone else in the world will.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: If you're scared of AI, be scared of it.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: But others are moving forward.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, sure, they kind of ask your permission for they build a data center, and you get to go to the meetings, and the next thing you know, they're breaking ground, and it looks like about 10 times the size of your normal Amazon buildings being built.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: So the world's moving really fast.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: And with that, we had the uh Chinese president and his lovely wife in town.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: I just got a text that they have officially left the USA, and President Trump's gonna spin it like it's a positive thing.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: But with that, we have some serious, serious headwinds, and those would be rising, exploding interest rates.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: Jed's brought some really good charts to that.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: And then, of course, we have the high diesel fuel.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: What do you have here, Jed?
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: This is the 10-year kind of a daily, or I guess a monthly, excuse me, chart of September.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: And as you can see, uh the 10-year has shot up here towards the back end of September.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that that's a problem for all of us.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: Now you heard we raised rates a quarter last week.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: Well, that was the Fed raised the short end, the Fed funds rate a quarter of a percent, but the real rate has about two or three more uh rates in there.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: Jed, do me a favor because you're pretty quick on the draw.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: If you can go on a web browser, if you can, it's okay if you can't.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: I I could talk my way through it, but go up to the CME FedWatch tool.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: Or if you want me to do it, I could pop it up also.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Want me to do it?
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: I got it.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: Okay, so while Jed's pulling that up, he's gonna add a screen.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: This is free.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: Google CME FedWatch.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: Say, hey, I want to get a little bit more savvy with these interest rates.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: How the heck do I watch this stuff?
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: Well, the CME group combines all the puts, calls, options, futures, it's that, and they give a really good baseline of what the real markets are pricing in.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: Not what the president's telling you, not what the politicians are telling you.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: Go full screen on that, Jet.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: All right, next FOMC meeting 33 days, zero hours, 53 minutes and four seconds.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Fed watch.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: And as he scrolls down, this is gonna put the uh chances of uh rate bump.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: And we have uh looks like a 33% chance of another increase, and then a 64% chance if I'm reading that right.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: Again, I'm working on my new glasses here.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: I didn't quite get them yet, but this is a very powerful tool that if you're an ag if you're an ag lender and you don't know about this, well, you should.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: If you're involved in anything that involves money, which everyone is, you're either collecting, making interest, or you're paying interest.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: And uh that's what we want to do here at Ag Bull Trading is help you get some cash grain sold, convert that into cash, get that debt paid down.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: And when the markets get shaky, it's really good to start thinking like Warren Buffett having a pile of cash just in case you need a little flexibility.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Because if we do truly have a stock market correction, which historically we've had a bunch of them, and I'm not talking five, 10% correction, we're talking 20, 30% corrections.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: All of a sudden, the banks and lenders, and we have a lot of banks, a lot of a lot of clients here at ACBOL trading that are actually farmers and uh professional bankers.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: And a farm can go from a decent strong cash position to a weak cash position quickly due to a lack of bushels or uh just not managing their cost right.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: So that's our little thaw of the day.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: Okay, you also have the uh some tools up with the Fed funds and everything else, Jed.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Yes, I do, and let me get rid of this one here.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no worries.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: On another one, the US Treasury yield curve is up there, and that is kind of what we projected it before where it currently sits on the 24th of September.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: I know it's the 25th, but that's on the 24th, the yellow line at the top, and the black one is the 24th of August, and the dotted one down there is the 24th of September 2025.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: So it's kind of interesting to compare those and where they sit.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: Obviously, that curve kind of on the 2025 side is just a little bit different.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: And uh, I think we gotta do a shout out.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: Who are we gonna do a shout-out for making those charts?
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Uh Zach Davis would be the guy to shout out.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: I think it's this one.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: No, but got it.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: This one?
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: No, no, well, yes, it is.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: He magically made that chart, right?
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: Uh, Zachary Davis can make us custom charts if you have an idea and say I want to see it in a chart form.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: We could do that.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: Man, Davis really pumped up these buttons.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: God, I want to hit some more, but I'm just scared here.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: But we do have the I know what the end of the show one is, and I got that Friday feeling here in a little bit, but yeah, we can make charts now and we can grab information.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: And Zachary Davis is in charge of research here.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: His father's been with Nesvik for probably over 30 years.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: He's a great asset, both Stephen and Zachary.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: So, Zach, thanks for making these charts.
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: We just got our username and passwords for our charting software.
- 14:51SPEAKER_01: Talk about a little bit what he's doing there, young Jed.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: It's kind of cool.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: It updates in real time across all markets, all USDA data on the ag stuff.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: So if we want to look at, you know, Heiferkill or where Crop Progress sits in Washington or something like that, we can pull up a chart with it immediately.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: And that is super handy to have around.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: And who are we going to send those to?
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Clients, premium clients, etc., right?
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and not to mention, I mean, it's really handy for our shows to just be able to, oh, I want to talk about this.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Let me go and grab it real quick and throw it in and get it out to the public to, you know, talk about what's on our minds.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: Just crazy price action here in the bonds.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: The 10-year notes are down two and a half, the bonds are down 21 ticks.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: They've had a lot of down days.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: Do you have one more interest rate chart?
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: I don't think I do.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: I just got this headline here, and that that was the last one.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: This one here, yeah, is the uh market implied path of the federal funds rate.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: It's before the 2026 meeting down there in the gray.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: And the black is actually a month ago.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Obviously, that's a quite a few ticks up from essentially 4% to 4.82.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 16:03SPEAKER_01: Well, a lot of exciting things happening here.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: A lot of exciting things.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: And the two biggest headwinds I'm seeing are interest rates in diesel fuel.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: Everyone's getting all excited.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: Corn's up 10, down 10s.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: Folks, if grains go down and diesel stays high and interest rates stay high, that is a very, very bad thing.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: We're coming in to the end of September.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: Again, I mentioned today is 9.25 Dolly Parton Day here, not only in Nashville, but nationally.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: I walked down the street, Jet.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: I went to the little convenience store, and they're playing Dolly, selling merch, and right across from our favorite restaurant there, Villa.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: Villa, the new Dolly Parton hotel opened up and uh Dolly Parton storyteller.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: But if you ever make it to Nashville, you want to come visit us here at Nesvik or Ag Bull Trading.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: We're right next to the Ryman Theater.
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: Just call us, text us, and say, Hey, I'm gonna be in Nashville.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: I want to meet you guys.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: Heck, you can come record a podcast with we'd love to have you on the show.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: You had that last slide, and then you want to talk about something real special happening at the home farm.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: Can I play some music?
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: The reason I'm in Colorado, go for it.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: See if he gets the right button.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: Well, we got that Friday feeling here.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and we got something real special going on there in Colorado.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: What do you got going?
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: We do.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: We have our online steer sale happening on Tuesday.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: That's why I've been back getting pictures and videos of all of them to get posted on the internet.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: The sale platform is steerbitter.com.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: And like I said, the 29th of September, that'd be this Tuesday, is our sale.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: It closes at six or starts to close at six p.m.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: central, and it should extend for a little bit past that.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: But if you know of some young folks looking to show some 4-H projects and would like a pretty good one, there's some nice ones on this sale, and I encourage you to check it out.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: And how do people uh start shopping looking at pictures in bid online, Jed?
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: Oh, you know, that there's several different platforms, um, but you got to make a login and go to these uh websites, and you know, it's nice to be able to shop around and they're able to filter it by your area.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: They have maps of everyone who's close to you, so then you can kind of pick out where you want to go, go look at them, and then you know, make a purchase, or you know, we have the videos and pictures on there, so that way if you live on the other side of the world and want to place a bid, you're more than welcome to.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: I'm excited for you and the family and the whole crew here.
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: You guys are doing something really special there.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: I know you've worked hard and you work hard all year producing some of the best animals here in the world, not just America, but in the world.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: I did mention we did have a new client who called in and he said signed up for Agbull Intel and then opened a brokerage client.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: He said, That Sidwell, is that part of that family?
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: He knew who you were.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: You're kind of a big deal out there in the judging world, right?
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, uh, I I wouldn't say a big deal, but I try.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you don't have one of those belt buckles that says BD on it, does it?
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: No, I don't.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: I do not.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: I probably should, but you get the BFD, then you know you're the the big daddy, you got the hat, and you're not all hat and just cattle.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: You actually uh do this a little bit, right?
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, we do.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I mean, we run cows and cow calves and feed some of them out, and yeah, it's something we've done for generations.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: So I understand you haven't been working much.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: After you do your show, you chop some silage, which is work, a different form of work.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: How'd silage uh look out there in Colorado?
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: We got in the fields a pretty good time this year, and we just wrapped up our stuff here in Colorado.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: We'll be bouncing across the state border to Wyoming here at the beginning of next week.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: But yeah, silage harvest went pretty well, you know, this year.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Maybe not an ideal year weather-wise in Colorado, but we certainly made the most of it and saw some pretty good yields in some spots.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: Well, very good.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: Let's get us to the end.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: Mr.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: Davis Michelson has some little bit of mild interest here, according to popculture madness.com.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: On this day, September 25th, 2026.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: Here we go.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: Sequoia National Park established on September 25th, 1890 in California.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: This park spans, maybe just stopped right there.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know what goes after spans, just gotta use your imagination.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: All right, 1929, birthday of Barbara Walters, America journalist, producer, and author.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: 1947, it's the birthday of Cheryl Teagues, American model.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: That's a blast from the past.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: A quick quote from Ms.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: Teagues, like anyone else, there are days I feel beautiful and days I don't.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: And when I don't, I do something about it.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: Jed, we could use a little bit more makeup here on the show today.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: We're looking a little bit, a little bit off, but I want to give a special thanks to our good friends at Trade the News.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: Trade the News is what we use in audio squawk service.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Trade the news.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: We are proud users.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: If you'd like a free trial, trade the news, hit them up.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: Tell them the AgBull boy sent you.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: You want to get this trade the news so you can have real-time squawk service.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: Whoo, those boys worked hard this week and put out a lot of great information.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: Of course, before we get to the end, I'd like to direct you to agbull.com where you can dig deeper.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: I gotta do it like Davis does.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: May I direct you to agbol.com where you can dig deeper with AgBull Intel.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: 1855-737 Farm.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: Take the markets by the horns.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: All right, that's better.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: He'll be proud of us.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: Mr.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: Jed said, well, that's you, by the way.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: We'll be back first thing in the morning.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: Get you set up with a taste of AgBull Intel.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: Davis will be back on Monday afternoon.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, with one of our favorites, Mr.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: Brian Grady, to talk markets.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: All right, we're gonna do Weismeyer's Perspectives on Sunday.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: Folks, I gotta be honest with you, Weismeyer's Perspective is only gonna be free.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Uh, that video is gonna go behind the paywall.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: That video will be exclusively for Agble Intel users.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: And then Mr.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Weissmeyer himself is starting a subscription service.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: It's affordable price.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Make sure you're on this list.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: If you're already on the list, no need to panic.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: If you're not on the list, get a hold of us over at agbull.com.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: Say, I want to be on Weismeier's list and I want that coupon.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: I love his content.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: He's putting out information, all types of day and night, and everything else.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: Jim Weismeyer, officially part of the AgBull team here.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: He's a really special guy and we're we're lucky to work with him.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: I have learned so much from that man, Jed.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: I can't tell you.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: He expects you to be better.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: He expects you to know your stuff.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: He's made all of us here at AgBull and Nesvik a lot better.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: What have you learned from Jim, Jed?
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, just his policy knowledge.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I took civics classes and things like that in high school, but just his sheer knowledge of how our political system works and the process it takes to get things done over there is impressive.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: And it's because he has so much experience and knowledge and wisdom there that very few have.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: I mean, how many presidents has he interviewed, Tommy?
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: Four.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Four.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: That's more than I have.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: He's got me beat by four.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: So that's really cool that we have someone like that with that kind of just sheer experience on the crew to share his wealth of knowledge that he has.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I once asked him, Jim, was Honest Abe really honest?
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: He said, Yes, he was.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: That's Jim's been around for a while.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: He said the old Abe Lincoln was really honest.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: Tom Grossofi here in NASVIC at the Ag Bull Studios, Mr.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: Jed Sidwell will be back with you on Monday.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: I got to tell you something, folks.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: It's an absolute privilege and our honor to work with the American Farmer, but we need your help.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: We need you to support this channel.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: We don't have big-time sponsors like all these companies and all these inputs you buy.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: We're not against it.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: But the way the show goes is that you sponsor it with your$25 subscription per month or$250 per year.
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: And we always do our best to give you our version of the truth.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: News and media is changing.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: We're changing with it.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: Tommy Gerstaffi from Nashville, Tennessee, Jed Sidwell.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: Davis Michelson will be back with you on Monday.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: My name's Tommy Gerstaffi, and I'm bullish agriculture.
