- 0:05Speaker 1: Launch Control, this is Houston.
- 0:06Speaker 2: We are going to launch.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Five, four, three, two, one.
- 0:17Speaker 4: It's Chris X Radio.
- 0:18Speaker 5: Chris X Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 6: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 0:23Speaker 6: the people of this country. This message must be read
- 0:26Speaker 6: in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen on every television.
- 0:30Speaker 6: This message must resound throughout the entire intelligence.
- 0:34Speaker 5: And now, your host.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Chris X.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Oh man, it is that day, it is that time,
- 1:02Speaker 4: the unique time of Chris X Radio. I still think
- 1:07Speaker 4: we're the only program in the world that has been
- 1:09Speaker 4: able to pull this off, especially for like seven plus
- 1:11Speaker 4: years now. So don't ask me how we've done it,
- 1:14Speaker 4: don't ask me how we do it, we just do.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Good afternoon and welcome to Chris X Radio. I am
- 1:19Speaker 4: the aforementioned X-Man. We come bearing a gift beyond price
- 1:24Speaker 4: that is almost free, ladies and gentlemen. We bring you
- 1:27Speaker 4: the spirit of talk radio, something that has been drastically
- 1:30Speaker 4: reduced here in recent years. But we have assumed control
- 1:34Speaker 4: of the airwaves, and we will maintain control of these
- 1:38Speaker 4: airwaves for the next two hours as we bring you
- 1:41Speaker 4: that gift. So we got a lot going on today. Okay.
- 1:44Speaker 4: It is our Friday show on Thursday, which means we'll
- 1:47Speaker 4: talk about whatever is on your mind. That's what we
- 1:49Speaker 4: do every Friday on Thursday. And you're like, wait, wait.
- 1:53Speaker 4: People always ask me, well, what's the Friday Thursday? Because
- 1:56Speaker 4: the amigos take over every Friday from four to six.
- 2:00Speaker 4: So what does that mean? So what do we do? Well,
- 2:02Speaker 4: we just, we rock and roll. We manipulate the time-space continuum,
- 2:07Speaker 4: move our Friday show to Thursday, and kick the weekend
- 2:10Speaker 4: off 24 hours ahead of everyone else. Why do we
- 2:14Speaker 4: do it? Because we can. Because we want to. So
- 2:16Speaker 4: for those of you who are ready for the weekend, well,
- 2:18Speaker 4: we're already kicking it off. And if you want to
- 2:21Speaker 4: join us, I'll go ahead and open up the phones
- 2:22Speaker 4: here for the first couple of segments. 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. It
- 2:30Speaker 4: is our Friday show on Thursday. We'll have some fun. Also,
- 2:33Speaker 4: here at the bottom of the hour, we're going to
- 2:34Speaker 4: talk with a guest you may have never heard of,
- 2:37Speaker 4: probably don't know him. or may have listened to him
- 2:39Speaker 4: for the last 14 years here on KSCV. He is
- 2:42Speaker 4: the short-timer host of the Chris Salcedo show that aired
- 2:46Speaker 4: weekdays 7 to 9 a.m. on The Voice of Texas.
- 2:49Speaker 4: He is moving on to Greener Pastures. No, he's not dying.
- 2:53Speaker 4: He's not going to go tend the rabbits. He's got
- 2:55Speaker 4: a bigger, better offer, something national, maybe syndicated.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 2:59Speaker 4: He hasn't let the cat out of the bag, but
- 3:01Speaker 4: maybe he will. Starting next week, he is going to
- 3:04Speaker 4: be no longer on The Voice of Texas. So I've
- 3:08Speaker 4: got Chris Salcedo joining us here at 430. I've only
- 3:10Speaker 4: had him on just a very few amount of times
- 3:13Speaker 4: on the program because for years he was doing his
- 3:16Speaker 4: Newsmax television show. And then he couldn't do the show
- 3:19Speaker 4: because it was at the same time we're doing the show.
- 3:22Speaker 4: And then he was doing other stuff. And now he
- 3:25Speaker 4: does his little, it was his Twitter X hangout thing.
- 3:28Speaker 4: And he's just, he always does so much. So I'm
- 3:30Speaker 4: so glad he's going to be able to join us.
- 3:32Speaker 4: I tried to call in this morning in the eight,
- 3:35Speaker 4: eight AM hour, but he had so many guests and
- 3:37Speaker 4: they were backed up. I wasn't able to get on.
- 3:40Speaker 4: So you think you got it bad. I couldn't even
- 3:42Speaker 4: get in. So think about that. Well, then again, I
- 3:45Speaker 4: do have a, the ability to bring him on my program.
- 3:48Speaker 4: So he'll join us here at the bottom of the hour.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Chris Salcedo, a short timer, AKA the host of the
- 3:54Speaker 4: Chris Salcedo show. I'll see if I can get them
- 3:56Speaker 4: to break any news on the program. Also, apparently there
- 3:59Speaker 4: was some sort of a announcement, some sort of press
- 4:03Speaker 4: release that came out yesterday on our social media channels.
- 4:06Speaker 4: They came out during my show. So I have not
- 4:08Speaker 4: read them. I have not been able to see them.
- 4:10Speaker 4: So I still don't know what's going to happen on Monday.
- 4:12Speaker 4: So I'm just going to wait and just find out
- 4:14Speaker 4: what happens on Monday. Apparently has something to do with that.
- 4:17Speaker 4: So I don't know. But it came out during my show,
- 4:19Speaker 4: so I couldn't really just read them. So I had
- 4:22Speaker 4: to wait and see, and I just decided, you know what,
- 4:23Speaker 4: I'll just wait. Could be a big show change. Well, clearly,
- 4:27Speaker 4: Chris Salcedo's not going to be there, so we've got
- 4:29Speaker 4: to have something. You never know. Or you could read
- 4:33Speaker 4: the press release. Either way, it depends on what you
- 4:35Speaker 4: want to do. I don't know. I'm already in weekend mode,
- 4:38Speaker 4: so I just, always whenever the weekend mode rolls around,
- 4:40Speaker 4: I tend to try to, you know, hang out, have
- 4:43Speaker 4: a little fun, goof off, and then just, I don't know,
- 4:46Speaker 4: there you go.
- 4:46Speaker 7: It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Everybody's looking forward to the weekend, weekend, Friday, Friday.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Hey, everybody's getting, why is she getting down? I love
- 5:02Speaker 4: the fact that Leo Marciolo sings it. He pronounces it properly.
- 5:06Speaker 8: Foreigners.
- 5:07Speaker 4: All right, here's the good part. That was Lucas' part.
- 5:12Speaker 9: Here's mine.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Why can I sing like this now?
- 5:28Speaker 9: Party in, party in, yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Party in with Xenomorphic.
- 5:32Speaker 7: Fun, fun, fun, fun.
- 5:33Speaker 5: Looking forward to the weekend. Oh, yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 4: It is our Friday show on Thursday, kids. And we're
- 5:41Speaker 4: rocking it with Leo Morriciolo. You notice I changed the
- 5:44Speaker 4: lyrics there a little bit. I'm sure you heard me.
- 5:46Speaker 4: That's really the only way you can hear me because
- 5:48Speaker 4: now I can sing just like Leo Morriciolo. And I
- 5:51Speaker 4: don't understand why. Back when I was a real singer
- 5:55Speaker 4: for a rock and roll band, I couldn't really sing
- 5:56Speaker 4: like that. But now I can't. Does that mean I'm
- 5:59Speaker 4: just old?
- 5:59Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Okay, so there's a lot going on. This music really
- 6:04Speaker 4: matches the lead story, if you will. President Trump says
- 6:09Speaker 4: the U.S. will wage an unprecedented economic D-Day warfare against Iran.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Oh, man.
- 6:17Speaker 4: That doesn't sound good. We'll get into that. FBI agents
- 6:20Speaker 4: have confiscated Eric Swalwell's electronic devices at the airport in
- 6:25Speaker 4: San Francisco for... The sexual misconduct probe. So we'll touch
- 6:30Speaker 4: on that as well. By the way, we talked about
- 6:32Speaker 4: this yesterday. At least we mentioned it. Carla Wyatt, the
- 6:35Speaker 4: embattled Harris County treasurer, is to receive a 30% raise.
- 6:40Speaker 4: So let me get this right. You get elected to office,
- 6:43Speaker 4: and in your first term, you get arrested three different times,
- 6:46Speaker 4: twice for drunk driving, once for breaking and entering and
- 6:49Speaker 4: stealing something from a vehicle. And you go in, and
- 6:51Speaker 4: she requested a $ 250, 000 raise. Well, this hastily convened panel
- 6:54Speaker 4: of nine Harris County residents, quote, unquote— voted six to
- 7:07Speaker 4: three that commissioners court approve a 30% raise for Harris
- 7:12Speaker 4: County treasurer, AKA serial drunk driver, AKA breaking and entering
- 7:17Speaker 4: into a vehicle, Harris County treasurer, only a 30% raise.
- 7:23Speaker 4: I got to have a talk with the bosses at KSCV.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I haven't been arrested for any DWIs. I've not broken
- 7:29Speaker 4: into anyone's cars and I'm not getting, well, I don't know.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Maybe we'll see. Maybe I can get a raise. Does
- 7:35Speaker 4: that mean I should be entitled to a 31% raise?
- 7:39Speaker 4: Or do I have to go start breaking into people's
- 7:41Speaker 4: cars and drinking and driving because I don't drink? Lucas,
- 7:44Speaker 4: how does this work? Do I need to go get
- 7:46Speaker 4: drunk and then ask for a raise? Or do I
- 7:49Speaker 4: need to break into somebody's car? Or what's the best
- 7:52Speaker 4: way to get a 30% raise?
- 7:53Speaker 5: Well, it.
- 7:55Speaker 10: Seems like we're playing the scientific method game here.
- 7:58Speaker 5: You got to have a hypothesis first.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Where do you want to start? I don't think Carla
- 8:04Speaker 4: White can spell hypothesis. I'll just leave it at that.
- 8:07Speaker 4: James Tallarico is now backing, well, he's been, backing convicted
- 8:12Speaker 4: murderer Carmelo Anthony in his divisive murder case. He said
- 8:18Speaker 4: his conviction for stabbing the white football star shows that
- 8:20Speaker 4: the system is not working for black Texans. I mean,
- 8:23Speaker 4: who can, this is such an outrage. Since when did
- 8:27Speaker 4: it become a crime for black teenagers to stab white
- 8:30Speaker 4: teenagers in the heart at a track meet after being
- 8:33Speaker 4: asked repeatedly to leave? He instigates and then murders them.
- 8:39Speaker 4: My God, racism is terrible. Typical Democrat pandering to blacks
- 8:45Speaker 4: to win their votes. Of course, he's not the first Democrat.
- 8:47Speaker 4: You remember Hillary Clinton? She carries around hot sauce in
- 8:51Speaker 4: a purse so she can be like the black people.
- 8:54Speaker 4: And I eat like black people because I'm Hillary Clinton
- 8:59Speaker 4: or Joe Biden. Both of them went on. By the way,
- 9:03Speaker 4: Tallarico said this on, what show was it? Let me
- 9:07Speaker 4: look for the name of it. The Breakfast Club, a
- 9:10Speaker 4: black show and pandered to the black people. Joe Biden
- 9:15Speaker 4: went on there and said, if you have a problem
- 9:16Speaker 4: figuring out whether you're from me or Trump, then you
- 9:18Speaker 4: ain't black. Why do black people support these pandering dirtbags? Anyway,
- 9:27Speaker 4: we got some audio. We'll play that coming up. Governor
- 9:31Speaker 4: Greg Abbott is proposing a full ban on all H-1B visas,
- 9:36Speaker 4: which allow foreign workers to fill jobs in the state's
- 9:38Speaker 4: public schools, as well as a ban on accepting foreign
- 9:41Speaker 4: education funding and dollars and programs. That's good. So we'll
- 9:46Speaker 4: get to that. Also, a 23rd person has been sentenced
- 9:49Speaker 4: to prison related to Minnesota's $ 250 million feeding our future
- 9:55Speaker 4: fraud scandal. I know this is going to shock you.
- 10:01Speaker 4: but it was a Muslim person. I do believe they
- 10:03Speaker 4: were Somali. I know that's shocking. How could you possibly
- 10:07Speaker 4: know this? Because we've been told by a Somali quote-unquote
- 10:11Speaker 4: refugee that A member of Congress. I think it's about
- 10:17Speaker 4: time we stop allowing people from other countries to serve
- 10:21Speaker 4: in our government. They make it very clear they serve
- 10:25Speaker 4: at their leisure and not so much at the behest
- 10:29Speaker 4: of the American people in America. Especially Ilhan Omar. She
- 10:36Speaker 4: made it very clear. She represents Somalia and the Somalis
- 10:40Speaker 4: in America. And they got a problem with fraud in Minnesota.
- 10:45Speaker 4: And don't worry, Tim Walls, Minnesota governor, boy, he somehow
- 10:49Speaker 4: couldn't see it. He was shocked as Hades. Couldn't believe
- 10:52Speaker 4: what was happening. Which, by the way, I don't think
- 10:56Speaker 4: Carla Wyatt is from Haiti. I think she's born and
- 11:00Speaker 4: raised here. I guess now we know why Harris County
- 11:04Speaker 4: needs to raise our taxes to the hilt so they
- 11:06Speaker 4: can afford to give, you know, a three-time drunk driver,
- 11:09Speaker 4: I'm sorry, three-time arrestee, twice here in Harris County, once
- 11:12Speaker 4: in Galveston County, twice for drunken driving, once for breaking
- 11:17Speaker 4: into a vehicle, only recommending a 30% raise. Now, by
- 11:21Speaker 4: the way, Harris County Commissioner's Court is not obligated to
- 11:24Speaker 4: give her that raise. We'll see if they eliminate her position.
- 11:29Speaker 4: While they're about to hit us with another tax hike,
- 11:31Speaker 4: which I just, or they're going to do their best.
- 11:32Speaker 4: I think we get to vote on it. So tell
- 11:35Speaker 4: your friends, hey, if you follow Harris County and you
- 11:38Speaker 4: like Lena Hidalgo and Rodney Ellis and Leslie Briones, then
- 11:43Speaker 4: you'll vote for raising your own taxes 12%, something like that,
- 11:47Speaker 4: maybe even more.
- 11:48Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 11:49Speaker 4: I think El Senador will probably join us here in
- 11:51Speaker 4: the 5 p.m. hour, and we'll probably talk about it
- 11:53Speaker 4: because he's got a press release on it. We covered
- 11:56Speaker 4: it yesterday on the program. So there you go. There's
- 12:04Speaker 4: a lot going on. We'll get to that. But, of course,
- 12:06Speaker 4: it is our Friday show on Thursday, so we'll talk
- 12:08Speaker 4: about whatever is on your mind at 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. Let's
- 12:12Speaker 4: go ahead and go to the phones. I want to
- 12:15Speaker 4: get in a caller here in our first segment here
- 12:18Speaker 4: as we get our Friday show on Thursday off to
- 12:20Speaker 4: rolling and rocking and rolling and doing what we do,
- 12:24Speaker 4: that thing that we do. Let's go to Jimmy X,
- 12:26Speaker 4: who's been patiently holding– Jimmy X squared, sorry. Jimmy X
- 12:30Speaker 4: to the second power. Jimmy, thank you for hanging on.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Hey, brother.
- 12:37Speaker 11: Chris, you're going off the rails, brother. Somebody had to
- 12:40Speaker 11: come in and put up some bumpers.
- 12:44Speaker 4: I do need those bumpers. It's not just role-playing pool.
- 12:51Speaker 11: You talk about that you're bringing something to us that's
- 12:54Speaker 11: almost free. And then here you are wanting a 30% raise. So,
- 12:59Speaker 11: last time I looked at it, 30% more of zero
- 13:03Speaker 11: is still zero. And you're a smart dude.
- 13:08Speaker 4: That's the conundrum.
- 13:09Speaker 12: Man.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Well, the other thing, too, is apparently I got to
- 13:12Speaker 4: go get a couple of DWIs and break into somebody's
- 13:15Speaker 4: car and get caught. So, if I got to do that, I.
- 13:17Speaker 11: Got a lot of making up to do.
- 13:19Speaker 13: No, no, no.
- 13:21Speaker 11: You got to follow Enos Freedom. And all you've got
- 13:25Speaker 11: to do is wear a wig and declare yourself a
- 13:28Speaker 11: woman and then go back in and declare that you're
- 13:33Speaker 11: being treated wrongly because you're not getting your worth. I mean,
- 13:42Speaker 11: you've got to.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Get smart, bro.
- 13:44Speaker 11: That's what I was talking about, the bumpers.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Okay.
- 13:49Speaker 11: You're trying to stay within the way that we normally
- 13:52Speaker 11: do which is correct and honest and forthright, that's not
- 13:59Speaker 11: the way you advance in the Democratic world. And when
- 14:02Speaker 11: you talk about this person, you're having to slide over
- 14:06Speaker 11: into the Democratic world, which is all fake, double standards,
- 14:12Speaker 11: and victim mentality. You are no victim, so you've got
- 14:16Speaker 11: to start changing.
- 14:18Speaker 7: All right.
- 14:19Speaker 4: I feel victimized by this conversation right now, Jimmy. So
- 14:22Speaker 4: I think I'm there. I think I'm now officially victimized.
- 14:26Speaker 4: I'm going to get a wig. I'm going to start
- 14:28Speaker 4: identifying as a woman. May declare for the WNBA draft.
- 14:31Speaker 4: I don't know. May declare for some other women's sports.
- 14:35Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 14:36Speaker 11: You and the murder hornet, man. Y'all would be the
- 14:39Speaker 11: dynamic duo.
- 14:42Speaker 5: Thanks for the call, Jimmy.
- 14:43Speaker 4: I appreciate it. Thank you for setting me straight because
- 14:46Speaker 4: this is a brave new world for me. I'm not
- 14:47Speaker 4: used to this. So wait a minute. So now not
- 14:50Speaker 4: only do I got to go get arrested for drunk
- 14:52Speaker 4: driving twice and then break into a vehicle, I need
- 14:55Speaker 4: to go get a wig and identify as a woman
- 14:58Speaker 4: so I can be part of the victim side of
- 15:01Speaker 4: the Democrat Party.
- 15:02Speaker 14: Hmm.
- 15:04Speaker 5: Man.
- 15:05Speaker 4: What a scam. I didn't know I had to do
- 15:08Speaker 4: all that. No one told me that was going to
- 15:10Speaker 4: take place. Jeez. And that's starting to sound like work.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Sounds like I actually got to put in some hours.
- 15:19Speaker 4: I don't want to do that. I don't know. Maybe
- 15:22Speaker 4: I'll get Lucas to look up more things for me
- 15:24Speaker 4: here during the break. And then we'll get back. Speaking of,
- 15:27Speaker 4: let's go ahead and take a break. You're listening to
- 15:28Speaker 4: Chris X Radio here on our Friday show on Thursday.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Because I went a little long with Jimmy X squared
- 15:35Speaker 4: to the second power. We may be a short segment,
- 15:38Speaker 4: so I don't know. I probably won't take any calls
- 15:39Speaker 4: next segment. But then we got Chris Salcedo, short-timer host
- 15:43Speaker 4: of the Chris Salcedo Show. Is that what Chris is
- 15:46Speaker 4: actually doing? Did he go buy a wig, and is
- 15:49Speaker 4: he going to declare for the WNBA, and that's what
- 15:52Speaker 4: he's going to do, and that's why he won't be
- 15:54Speaker 4: available to do the morning show on KSCV anymore after
- 15:56Speaker 4: this week? Is that what's happening? I'm going to have
- 15:58Speaker 4: to ask him. I think it's very possible. Chris has
- 16:03Speaker 4: always been smarter than me, so... All right, you're listening
- 16:08Speaker 4: to Chris X Radio. We're just getting started here on
- 16:10Speaker 4: our Friday show on Thursday. Don't you go anywhere. We'll
- 16:12Speaker 4: be right back.
- 16:18Speaker 5: You're listening to Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio. The

- 17:55Speaker 17: You know, where we go in life matters, and what
- 17:57Speaker 17: we do matters, and we know that taking the wrong
- 18:00Speaker 17: road won't produce the best outcomes. Hi, I'm Kathy with
- 18:04Speaker 17: Baker Mortgage. And we want you to take the right
- 18:06Speaker 17: path when it comes to your mortgage. You know, we
- 18:08Speaker 17: live in a world of information overload, but always consider
- 18:12Speaker 17: the source. And these are not generally going to be
- 18:14Speaker 17: from your big bank or a random offer that comes
- 18:17Speaker 17: across your screen. Remember, you're always going to get a
- 18:20Speaker 17: better deal on one that you go looking for than
- 18:22Speaker 17: one that comes looking for you. You need to deal
- 18:25Speaker 17: with somebody who gives a you-know-what, whether or not you're
- 18:28Speaker 17: happy in the end. At Baker Mortgage, we do it right.
- 18:31Speaker 17: We haven't been around for 68 years because we're lucky.
- 18:34Speaker 17: We don't sell CDs, insurance, or anything else. We just
- 18:38Speaker 17: provide a great mortgage experience. Isn't that what you're looking for?
- 18:42Speaker 17: Call us at Baker Mortgage. I promise you'll be glad
- 18:45Speaker 17: you did. We're at 281-313-MOVE or go directly to BakerMortgage.com.

- 18:55Speaker 19: Houston Methodist Hospital has been named the best hospital in
- 18:58Speaker 19: Texas for patient care and quality for the 15th year
- 19:01Speaker 19: in a row by U.S. News and World Report. We're
- 19:04Speaker 19: proud to be a top-ranked hospital in the country, ranked
- 19:07Speaker 19: in 11 specialties. For more than 100 years, Houston Methodist
- 19:11Speaker 19: has provided our community with the highest quality care. That's
- 19:15Speaker 19: the difference between practicing medicine and leading it. Houston Methodist.
- 19:20Speaker 19: Leading Medicine.
- 19:24Speaker 20: And now, we return you to your regularly scheduled dose
- 19:28Speaker 20: of common sense.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Chris X Radio.
- 19:59Speaker 4: And I can jam out to some Soundgarden just about
- 20:01Speaker 4: any time. Oh, by the way, Rob, before the show,
- 20:04Speaker 4: by the way, my internet went out right before the show,
- 20:07Speaker 4: but then it came back. It was just a glitch,
- 20:09Speaker 4: I guess. So we're good. We're okay. Everything's fine for now.
- 20:12Speaker 4: If we cut out, I'll switch my backup internet. But
- 20:15Speaker 4: I think we're good. So at least for now, as
- 20:17Speaker 4: far as I can tell, I think we're good to go. Anyway,
- 20:20Speaker 4: we're up on, like I said, KSEV 700 AM. And then,
- 20:24Speaker 4: of course, we're also on the YouTube and the Twitter
- 20:27Speaker 4: and the Rumble and the Facebook and all that. So
- 20:30Speaker 4: I was just posting all that stuff because, well, I
- 20:32Speaker 4: got to do that. Right before my internet went out,
- 20:36Speaker 4: somebody posted a clip of Ted Nugent back in the,
- 20:40Speaker 4: I guess it was in the 80s, maybe early 80s,
- 20:42Speaker 4: of him performing Stranglehold on the Midnight Special. You guys
- 20:46Speaker 4: remember that show, which is an amazing show? And watching
- 20:51Speaker 4: Ted Nugent play that, and I can't remember the guy
- 20:53Speaker 4: who actually sings Stranglehold. It's another guitar player, backup guitar player,
- 20:58Speaker 4: something Holmes. I can't remember. Tommy? Thomas Holmes? I can't
- 21:03Speaker 4: remember his name. Needless to say, he's not as famous
- 21:05Speaker 4: as Ted Nugent. But that guy actually sings Stranglehold. And
- 21:09Speaker 4: then Ted Nugent and him trade off guitars. He plays
- 21:12Speaker 4: 99% of the guitar on it, and Ted does. And
- 21:15Speaker 4: then they trade off lead solos, because that guy's a
- 21:18Speaker 4: pretty good guitar player in his own right. But watching
- 21:21Speaker 4: how good Ted Nugent was and still is. First of all,
- 21:29Speaker 4: it sounded amazing back when bands really didn't sound that
- 21:32Speaker 4: amazing live, especially on TV shows. But they freaking nailed
- 21:36Speaker 4: the song, which is good. And then he does a
- 21:37Speaker 4: breakdown where he thanks the audience and all of the
- 21:39Speaker 4: other bands and everybody else, his friends. And it's funny
- 21:43Speaker 4: because in a time of canceled culture, everybody knows that Ted,
- 21:46Speaker 4: you know, Uncle Ted, Ted Nugent, is a, you know,
- 21:49Speaker 4: very much a strong conservative. And they just, everyone's tried
- 21:52Speaker 4: to cancel him, but you can't. Because he wrote Stranglehold
- 21:57Speaker 4: and plays it and is incredible. And that song is
- 22:00Speaker 4: forever etched in the history of music. And the guy
- 22:05Speaker 4: is basically Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth in
- 22:09Speaker 4: one package. Which is interesting because this is one of
- 22:12Speaker 4: the songs that he doesn't sing. Generally, he sings and
- 22:14Speaker 4: plays guitar. But if you get a chance, go watch
- 22:17Speaker 4: his performance from the Midnight Special. Boy, there's a performance
- 22:22Speaker 4: you won't forget anytime soon. What's funny is he was
- 22:26Speaker 4: so young. He was very skinny and he wore the
- 22:29Speaker 4: little raccoon tail. You know, having the, like I said,
- 22:35Speaker 4: hanging from behind. And he's wearing these skin-tight, whatever, white
- 22:39Speaker 4: pants without a shirt. He was definitely the alpha male.
- 22:43Speaker 4: We'll just say that. I've seen interviews where he is
- 22:48Speaker 4: the alpha male. I've interviewed Ted a couple of times, actually.
- 22:51Speaker 4: And I finally got to meet him years ago when
- 22:53Speaker 4: Carl Pittman, Lord rest his soul, he passed away. But
- 22:57Speaker 4: when he was running for, was it Harris County Sheriff?
- 23:00Speaker 4: He was running for something. And Ted Nugent came in
- 23:03Speaker 4: to support him and help raise money for him. And
- 23:05Speaker 4: I got to go to the event. It was over
- 23:06Speaker 4: there by close to where I lived at the time.
- 23:09Speaker 4: So it was great to meet Ted in person. And Ted,
- 23:11Speaker 4: what's funny is, you know, he can be very aggressive
- 23:15Speaker 4: in interviews. Man, in person, he couldn't have been nicer.
- 23:18Speaker 4: He came out, was nice, shook everybody's hand, took pictures
- 23:20Speaker 4: with everybody. And it was really cool. And then he
- 23:23Speaker 4: played the Star Spangled Banner on guitar. And like I said,
- 23:27Speaker 4: it was just a small crowd, mostly donors and stuff.
- 23:30Speaker 4: But I got to go because it was media. So
- 23:32Speaker 4: that was very cool to get to meet Ted Nugent.
- 23:35Speaker 4: And then also a guy I've been listening to since
- 23:36Speaker 4: I was probably seven or eight years old. And then
- 23:40Speaker 4: watch him perform. And literally, I was standing about four
- 23:42Speaker 4: feet from him while he's performing because he didn't perform
- 23:45Speaker 4: well in a little stage area. But it wasn't a concert.
- 23:49Speaker 4: It was him just performing for us. which was pretty
- 23:52Speaker 4: darn cool. But watching him perform back in the heyday,
- 23:57Speaker 4: dear Lord. And you would have had no idea the
- 24:01Speaker 4: guy didn't do drugs or drink. You would have thought
- 24:04Speaker 4: he was whacked out of his head on drugs, except
- 24:07Speaker 4: for when you watch him play and how talented he is. Okay,
- 24:09Speaker 4: let's take a break. We'll come back, pick up with
- 24:11Speaker 4: our guest, the short-timer host of the Chris Salcedo Show.
- 24:15Speaker 4: We've only got one more episode airing tomorrow. He joins
- 24:20Speaker 4: us here next on Chris X Radio. We're going to
- 24:22Speaker 4: talk to Chris. Maybe we can try to get him
- 24:24Speaker 4: to break some news. I don't know if he will.
- 24:27Speaker 4: But at the very least, I want to make sure
- 24:28Speaker 4: I got a chance to talk to him here on
- 24:29Speaker 4: the program and wish him all the best. Chris Salcedo
- 24:32Speaker 4: joins us here next on Chris X Radio. I know
- 24:35Speaker 4: it's so confusing. We'll be right back.

- 26:41Speaker 17: come up, you really don't know what you're pre-approved for.

- 27:33Speaker 1: As night falls, anticipate partly cloudy skies with warm and
- 27:36Speaker 1: humid weather and a low of 80 degrees. Looking ahead
- 27:39Speaker 1: to Saturday, it'll be a hot day with a mix
- 27:41Speaker 1: of sun and clouds and the possibility of a thunderstorm
- 27:44Speaker 1: in the afternoon. The high temperature on Saturday will once
- 27:47Speaker 1: again be 101 degrees. With the KSCB Weather Center forecast,
- 27:51Speaker 1: I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 27:56Speaker 5: And now, back to Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio.
- 27:59Speaker 5: On the voice of Texas.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Welcome back to Chris X Radio. It is time to
- 28:16Speaker 4: catch up with our guest. He is the short-timer host
- 28:20Speaker 4: of the Chris Salcedo Show, also known as a brother
- 28:24Speaker 4: from another mother. He has been holding down the reins
- 28:27Speaker 4: in the mornings from 7 to 9 a.m. Monday through
- 28:29Speaker 4: Friday here for the last 14 years on KSCV, and
- 28:32Speaker 4: he joins us here now as an early Bon Voyage.
- 28:35Speaker 4: He's not leaving. He's doing a show tomorrow, and then
- 28:38Speaker 4: he's out the door. Chris, always good to have you
- 28:40Speaker 4: on the program. Thanks for coming on today.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Brother X, great to talk to you, my friend.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Well, it's good to have you here on the program.
- 28:47Speaker 4: And I've heard some rumors about where you're going. We'll
- 28:49Speaker 4: get into that. But first and foremost, it's been very
- 28:53Speaker 4: difficult to get you on the program over the last
- 28:55Speaker 4: few years because you were doing your Newsmax television show
- 28:58Speaker 4: and you've had so much going on. You're one of
- 29:00Speaker 4: the hardest working guys in show business. So I always
- 29:03Speaker 4: appreciate your time. So and I've heard I was listening
- 29:05Speaker 4: to your program this week. I've heard you're going to
- 29:07Speaker 4: be doing six to nine a.m. Eastern. So would that
- 29:10Speaker 4: make it five to eight a.m. our time? That's an
- 29:13Speaker 4: early full show.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah yeah five to eight uh texas time it's early
- 29:19Speaker 3: yeah but uh you know uh it's uh the morning
- 29:23Speaker 3: drive as they say uh and uh yeah it's it's
- 29:28Speaker 3: something i'm already used to getting up early just gonna
- 29:30Speaker 3: be getting up a couple of hours earlier and uh
- 29:33Speaker 3: yeah setting the tone for the the new network i'm
- 29:36Speaker 3: joining so it's kind.
- 29:37Speaker 4: Of okay now one of the rumors i heard was
- 29:39Speaker 4: that now you're leaving KSCV to join the ranks of
- 29:42Speaker 4: working for James Tallarico following in the suit of one
- 29:44Speaker 4: of John Cornyn's staffers. Is that true?
- 29:48Speaker 3: Well, you know, I don't want to kiss and tell
- 29:52Speaker 3: like James Tell-A-Freak Show does.
- 29:54Speaker 2: But, you know, I.
- 29:56Speaker 3: I think I'll let it be a surprise for tomorrow morning.
- 29:58Speaker 3: I'm going to be announcing it. But I think it's
- 30:00Speaker 3: safe to say, unlike John Cornyn's people, I have nothing,
- 30:05Speaker 3: or John Cornyn himself, I have no ideological commonality with
- 30:10Speaker 3: James Telefreak's show. Absolutely none.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Well, I mean, I was joking before the break, and
- 30:15Speaker 4: a caller called in and told me I should put
- 30:17Speaker 4: on a wig and try to join the WNBA. That
- 30:20Speaker 4: was another rumor I heard, possibly, that that's what you're doing.
- 30:22Speaker 4: You're declaring that you sometimes feel like a woman and
- 30:25Speaker 4: joining the WNBA. So that's not the case either?
- 30:29Speaker 3: No, all five foot eight of me, you know, and
- 30:31Speaker 3: I think that the ladies would have their way with me.
- 30:35Speaker 3: I did talk to Royce White, who is making a
- 30:39Speaker 3: case about joining the NBA, the former NBA player. Talked
- 30:43Speaker 3: to him on an X-Space the other day. What a
- 30:44Speaker 3: great guy. He was running for office for, I think
- 30:49Speaker 3: it was a congressional seat, the GOP nomination up in Minnesota.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Michelle Tafoya, another sports figure, beat him out. But, yeah,
- 31:00Speaker 3: by the way, he's a great guy. But, no, I
- 31:02Speaker 3: will not be going to the WNBA, sadly, sadly.
- 31:05Speaker 4: That's a little sad news. I'm a little sad by that. Yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 4: Royce White also played for the Houston Rockets for a
- 31:11Speaker 4: short time. So he was here in Houston for a bit.
- 31:13Speaker 4: So I hope him and Ennis Cantor freedom. I hope
- 31:16Speaker 4: they do get into the WNBA. I'd like to watch them. Well,
- 31:20Speaker 4: show the difference. Maybe then the WNBA would learn what
- 31:23Speaker 4: that W stands for. But the other thing, too, is
- 31:27Speaker 4: I want to grab you on. I know you're going
- 31:29Speaker 4: in to do this this new thing and you're right.
- 31:31Speaker 4: It's morning drive. I've said this before. I've said it
- 31:33Speaker 4: to you and I've said it to my audience many times.
- 31:35Speaker 4: You're a good radio guy. I watched you on television.
- 31:38Speaker 4: You're an excellent news guy. I hope you're incorporating video
- 31:42Speaker 4: into your new adventure as well because you're so darn
- 31:45Speaker 4: good at it. will that be part of your new program?
- 31:47Speaker 3: Nothing's changed in that regard, man. Um, we're still going
- 31:49Speaker 3: to be streaming live streaming with, uh, uh, our current
- 31:53Speaker 3: platforms on rumble on X on getter. That's not going
- 31:56Speaker 3: to change. And I'm in talks with some other people about,
- 31:59Speaker 3: about television as well. Then the new radio digital radio
- 32:03Speaker 3: gig will not interfere at all in television. As a
- 32:06Speaker 3: matter of fact, uh, I made sure of that, that, um,
- 32:09Speaker 3: they would be, uh, simpatico if, if, uh, if the
- 32:13Speaker 3: two mediums ever coincided ever again. So we'll see what
- 32:16Speaker 3: that goes.
- 32:17Speaker 4: Well, very cool. Like I said, I'm glad to see
- 32:20Speaker 4: you continuing to do that because you're so good on
- 32:21Speaker 4: television and video. And then, like I said, you came
- 32:24Speaker 4: from that background, so that's an interesting thing. In fact,
- 32:27Speaker 4: if you want to talk about it, I know you
- 32:28Speaker 4: started off in television and then worked your way to
- 32:31Speaker 4: conservative talk, and then you've been here for the last
- 32:34Speaker 4: 14 years. Now, I made the statement, I realize now
- 32:36Speaker 4: that I'm wrong, that once you leave, I'm going to
- 32:38Speaker 4: be the longest tenured person host on the station. But
- 32:41Speaker 4: then I completely forgot about the guys who take over
- 32:43Speaker 4: on Friday. They're longer than all of us. The Amigos
- 32:46Speaker 4: have been on for 24, 25 years. So neither one
- 32:49Speaker 4: of us actually have been the longest tenured. But you've
- 32:51Speaker 4: had a heck of a run. And we're going to
- 32:53Speaker 4: miss you here on The Voice of Texas. That's for
- 32:55Speaker 4: darn sure. But of course, I wanted to make sure
- 32:57Speaker 4: I was able to wish you in person the best.
- 32:59Speaker 4: And I hope the new venture is successful and awesome.
- 33:02Speaker 4: And of course, there's always that Hey, you never know.
- 33:04Speaker 4: Things could change in the future, and you might be
- 33:06Speaker 4: back one day, but I don't know. I don't know
- 33:08Speaker 4: if you'll be looking back. You seem to be looking forward.
- 33:11Speaker 4: Can you give us a little rundown memory lane, how
- 33:13Speaker 4: you ended up getting here on The Voice of Texas?
- 33:16Speaker 3: Well, yeah. I quit saying never in this business a
- 33:20Speaker 3: long time ago. One thing I've discovered, it's so small.
- 33:25Speaker 3: You never know when paths will cross again, yours and mine,
- 33:28Speaker 3: mine and The Voice of Texas, whatever. How I started...
- 33:33Speaker 3: I was an executive director of the conservative Hispanic Society,
- 33:37Speaker 3: and I was vetting some guys for office. You may
- 33:40Speaker 3: have heard of them. One of them was a guy
- 33:43Speaker 3: by the name of Ken Paxton, who was running for
- 33:45Speaker 3: attorney general. Another guy was by the name of Dan Patrick.
- 33:49Speaker 3: He was a state senator at the time, and he
- 33:51Speaker 3: was auditioning for the lieutenant governor's job. And I was
- 33:55Speaker 3: calling a bunch of these other shrubs, these other Republicans,
- 34:01Speaker 3: trying to vet them. And it turns out none of
- 34:03Speaker 3: them would even return a call and even talk. They
- 34:06Speaker 3: weren't apparently interested in talking to conservative Hispanics, which I
- 34:09Speaker 3: found to be pretty off-putting. We were somehow dismissed by
- 34:14Speaker 3: these so-called Republicans. Turns out they were pretty left-wing anyway,
- 34:18Speaker 3: so that you know what goes with that. But AG
- 34:21Speaker 3: Ken Paxton calls me back and then engages in a
- 34:25Speaker 3: 45-minute conversation about his vision, what he wants to do
- 34:27Speaker 3: as Attorney General. And then I was on the phone
- 34:30Speaker 3: with a guy by the name of Dewhurst who was
- 34:32Speaker 3: running for lieutenant governor, David Dewhurst. He, about 90 seconds
- 34:37Speaker 3: into the phone call, says, oh, wait a minute. I
- 34:39Speaker 3: got to get this phone call.
- 34:40Speaker 24: I got to go.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Hangs up on me. And then never calls me back.
- 34:45Speaker 25: Right?
- 34:46Speaker 3: Then the lieutenant governor, then state senator calls me and says, well,
- 34:52Speaker 3: let's have a conversation about an hour later. we wrap
- 34:57Speaker 3: up our conversation. He gave me an hour of his
- 34:59Speaker 3: time explaining his vision to save Texas, and he fulfilled that.
- 35:04Speaker 3: And at the end of the conversation, he says, hey,
- 35:07Speaker 3: by the way, I don't know if you know this,
- 35:08Speaker 3: but I have a little radio station called KSEV in Houston,
- 35:12Speaker 3: and my morning guy is hanging up his cleats. Would
- 35:16Speaker 3: you mind maybe just filling in? Because I understand you're
- 35:20Speaker 3: in media, too. And I said, sure. And that was
- 35:22Speaker 3: 14 years ago.
- 35:23Speaker 9: Wow.
- 35:25Speaker 4: Man, it's been a good run. I mean, I know
- 35:27Speaker 4: you've bounced around a little bit. I know you went
- 35:29Speaker 4: and did the afternoons at one point, because this was
- 35:32Speaker 4: back when I was just listening. I've told everybody I've
- 35:34Speaker 4: been a listener of KSEV for the last 25, 30 years.
- 35:38Speaker 4: But I remember listening, and I think it was a
- 35:40Speaker 4: short amount of time, but basically you've held down Morning Drive.
- 35:43Speaker 4: for most of the duration, which has been, like I said,
- 35:45Speaker 4: that's been your home for a long time. Is it
- 35:47Speaker 4: a little bittersweet leaving, even though it sounds like you're
- 35:50Speaker 4: heading on to bigger and better things, and I can
- 35:52Speaker 4: only imagine what you're going to do. I'll be listening
- 35:54Speaker 4: in the morning to hear your news, since I'm not
- 35:57Speaker 4: cool enough to get it broken on my show.
- 36:00Speaker 3: But I'll be listening in the morning.
- 36:02Speaker 4: Is it a little bittersweet?
- 36:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going to be– I wrote an article on this,
- 36:07Speaker 3: and it's going to publish tonight. And then it'll be
- 36:11Speaker 3: available for everybody to read in the morning. And I'll
- 36:13Speaker 3: probably just read it because I wrote it. And the bittersweetness, yes,
- 36:17Speaker 3: I'm very happy about getting the radio show onto a
- 36:21Speaker 3: national platform and more ear balls, if you will, onto
- 36:27Speaker 3: the show. But when you've been at a place, KSEV
- 36:31Speaker 3: is not just a radio station. KSEV is a community
- 36:35Speaker 3: KSEV organization. I mean, there's not one person on this
- 36:39Speaker 3: station that I've ever had a beef with. You know
- 36:43Speaker 3: what I mean? And it's just, it's such a wonderful
- 36:47Speaker 3: place to work. Freedom of speech, the American ideals that
- 36:51Speaker 3: we all believe in are valued and put into practice here.
- 36:57Speaker 3: And a lot of people, maybe or maybe not, would
- 37:00Speaker 3: be surprised to know how rare that is, believe it
- 37:03Speaker 3: or not, in a free speech business that we're supposed
- 37:05Speaker 3: to be.
- 37:05Speaker 21: In, so.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Yes.
- 37:08Speaker 3: The good news is the very qualities that I love
- 37:12Speaker 3: and will miss so much about KSEV, many of them
- 37:18Speaker 3: are in the place I'm going.
- 37:21Speaker 2: There you go.
- 37:21Speaker 5: That's good.
- 37:22Speaker 4: And that's great. And, you know, it's interesting. I've talked
- 37:24Speaker 4: about this before and I'll relay a story, sort of
- 37:27Speaker 4: a commonality story, because a while back in the in
- 37:31Speaker 4: the midst of the covid insanity we had, you know,
- 37:34Speaker 4: I've told the story how many times the lieutenant governor,
- 37:37Speaker 4: as you mentioned, he has this little radio station. He's
- 37:39Speaker 4: never once policed what I've said or told me what
- 37:42Speaker 4: I can and cannot talk about. I've heard you say
- 37:44Speaker 4: the same. He's never policed anything. Let us basically freedom
- 37:47Speaker 4: of speech. Well, at one point at the height of
- 37:50Speaker 4: the covid madness. The Daily Beast out of New York
- 37:53Speaker 4: came after KSEV, came after me, came after. And I
- 37:56Speaker 4: remember it was so funny because I reached out to
- 37:59Speaker 4: you when they did and said, hey, did they come
- 38:01Speaker 4: after you? And apparently they were too scared to go
- 38:03Speaker 4: after Chris Salcedo, but they went after me. And I'll
- 38:06Speaker 4: never forget your response because I'll clean it up for radio. Basically,
- 38:10Speaker 4: you said I would tell them to pound sand. And yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 4: they didn't come after you. And I'll say you used
- 38:18Speaker 4: a little bit more colorful language there. Maybe some of
- 38:21Speaker 4: it could or could not be used on the radio,
- 38:23Speaker 4: but I'll never forget that conversation with you because that
- 38:26Speaker 4: was when I was relatively new on the station. And
- 38:29Speaker 4: needless to say, you don't cower when it comes to
- 38:31Speaker 4: freedom of speech.
- 38:32Speaker 7: 100%.
- 38:35Speaker 3: I remember the conversation well. And yes, I would be
- 38:40Speaker 3: more than happy to repeat that for somebody if they
- 38:42Speaker 3: inquire what you should tell all left-wingers who act butthurt.
- 38:48Speaker 3: over people thinking it stands for their First Amendment rights
- 38:51Speaker 3: and a recognition that it is a government of, by,
- 38:54Speaker 3: and for the people, not a government of, by, and
- 38:56Speaker 3: for the government. And I think you handle that whole
- 38:58Speaker 3: situation with poise as you have come to define the
- 39:02Speaker 3: afternoon drive here at The Voice of Texas and in Houston.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Well, thank you for that. Your phone conversation helped me
- 39:09Speaker 4: craft an email response to the guy who wrote the article.
- 39:12Speaker 4: And I basically just said, hey, you know, we deal
- 39:14Speaker 4: with opinion and opinions can change. And then I listed
- 39:18Speaker 4: the links to every article that he was addressing that
- 39:20Speaker 4: I talked about. And then at the end, in an
- 39:22Speaker 4: homage to the one and only Chris Salcedo, who joins
- 39:25Speaker 4: us here now on Chris X Radio, I put good
- 39:27Speaker 4: luck with your little article if you need anything in
- 39:29Speaker 4: the future. let me know. You never heard back from him.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Absolutely brilliant.
- 39:36Speaker 21: All right.
- 39:37Speaker 4: Well, I'll tell you what, we're getting short on time.
- 39:38Speaker 4: I want to make sure you give a final thought,
- 39:40Speaker 4: at least for those of us. You've always been very
- 39:42Speaker 4: kind to me and you've allowed me to come on
- 39:44Speaker 4: your program anytime I wanted. And if it brought me
- 39:46Speaker 4: on at various times, and like I said, I haven't
- 39:49Speaker 4: had the opportunity to get you on as much as
- 39:51Speaker 4: I would have liked over the years. First of all,
- 39:53Speaker 4: I want to extend the invitation. You're always welcome to
- 39:54Speaker 4: come back on this program if you want to talk
- 39:56Speaker 4: about something. That's how brothers from another mother work. And
- 40:00Speaker 4: then I want to give you the opportunity to reach out,
- 40:02Speaker 4: say anything that you want to our listeners here in
- 40:04Speaker 4: the afternoon, which I know there are many crossover listeners
- 40:07Speaker 4: that listen to you in the morning as well.
- 40:09Speaker 13: Right.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Well, a big thank you to the audience. We couldn't do...
- 40:14Speaker 3: What we do, what both Chris and I both do
- 40:17Speaker 3: without you, it's been one hell of a ride. And
- 40:22Speaker 3: I have been better for the experience. Can't thank you
- 40:25Speaker 3: folks enough. Thank you, man. I appreciate you inviting me
- 40:28Speaker 3: onto your show.
- 40:29Speaker 4: Well, thank you. And I'll be tuning in and checking
- 40:31Speaker 4: out your new venture. I'm looking forward to it. Best
- 40:33Speaker 4: of luck to you, my brother. And I hope everything
- 40:35Speaker 4: goes really well for you. And maybe one day we'll
- 40:38Speaker 4: be back together on the same channel. As you say,
- 40:40Speaker 4: you never say never in this industry. Thanks for giving
- 40:43Speaker 4: us a little bit of your time this afternoon, Chris.
- 40:44Speaker 4: And best of luck here for everything in the future.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Thank you, pal. Talk to you soon.
- 40:49Speaker 4: All right, talk to you soon. All right, the one
- 40:50Speaker 4: and only Chris Salcedo, once again, short timer. He's got
- 40:54Speaker 4: one show remaining here on The Voice of Texas. It
- 40:57Speaker 4: airs tomorrow from 7 to 9 a.m. He'll kick off
- 41:00Speaker 4: his Friday show tomorrow. I know he's probably a little
- 41:03Speaker 4: jealous that I do my Friday show on Thursday, so
- 41:05Speaker 4: I didn't want to rub that in. I was a
- 41:07Speaker 4: little sad to hear that he wasn't leaving The Voice
- 41:10Speaker 4: of Texas to join the Tallarico campaign, and I was
- 41:13Speaker 4: also a little sad to hear that he's not joining
- 41:14Speaker 4: the WNBA campaign. he's still going to be doing conservative
- 41:17Speaker 4: talk in his new format. So that's great. Man, I
- 41:22Speaker 4: don't envy those hours, 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. our time,
- 41:26Speaker 4: Texas time. But, of course, he's dealing with national stuff.
- 41:30Speaker 4: So that's 9 to– I'm sorry. That makes it from
- 41:33Speaker 4: 7 to– wait. 6 to 9 a.m. each weekday morning.
- 41:39Speaker 4: And I'm going to look for his press release. I
- 41:41Speaker 4: do follow him on social media. So I'll look for that.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Hopefully it will come out after my show so I
- 41:45Speaker 4: can read that press release. And I'm looking forward to
- 41:49Speaker 4: keeping in touch with Chris over the years. We've kept
- 41:51Speaker 4: in touch. And, like I said, he's a great guy. And,
- 41:53Speaker 4: once again, one of the classiest guys in the business.
- 41:55Speaker 4: One of the hardest working guys ever. And but one
- 41:57Speaker 4: of the classiest guys in the business as well. He's
- 41:59Speaker 4: always been very, like I said, straight up something the
- 42:03Speaker 4: Democrats could learn from. But I don't think they're ever
- 42:06Speaker 4: going to learn that. That is strictly a conservative principle.
- 42:10Speaker 4: And that's all you're going to get from the liberty
- 42:12Speaker 4: loving Latino, Chris Salcedo. All right, let's take a break.
- 42:14Speaker 4: We'll come back, wrap up this first hour and then
- 42:16Speaker 4: we'll be joined by El Senador Paul Betancourt. I mentioned
- 42:19Speaker 4: that he was talking about that tax hike in Harris County.
- 42:22Speaker 4: They're going to try to shove down our throats. We'll
- 42:25Speaker 4: get him on, probably kick off the next hour with it.
- 42:27Speaker 4: I hope so. So, anyway, we still got one segment remaining.
- 42:31Speaker 4: We'll come wrap things up for this first hour, get
- 42:32Speaker 4: you locked and loaded for our number two. All thanks
- 42:35Speaker 4: go to Chris Salcedo. I appreciate him joining us here
- 42:37Speaker 4: this afternoon. We'll be right back with more Chris X Radio.
- 42:45Speaker 5: Chris X Radio.

- 45:53Speaker 5: Chris X Radio.
- 46:10Speaker 4: Captain Jack is listening, and he's emailing me during the show.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Don't you know I can't really email back during the show?
- 46:16Speaker 4: Sometimes I do during the breaks. But is he commenting
- 46:20Speaker 4: on the excellent interview between two radio giants? Okay, one
- 46:24Speaker 4: radio giant and one slap nut in the afternoon? No.
- 46:28Speaker 4: What's he emailing me about? Him and his girl, AOC. Which,
- 46:33Speaker 4: by the way, if you're listening, Captain Jack, From what
- 46:37Speaker 4: I'm told, she's single now, so you actually have a
- 46:39Speaker 4: shot at your girl. She's freezing her eggs. I don't
- 46:44Speaker 4: know at your age if that does you any good
- 46:46Speaker 4: or not, but nonetheless, now you've got your opportunity. Tell
- 46:50Speaker 4: you what, you can go after her. I'll go after
- 46:51Speaker 4: Anna Paulina Luna. I'll take that. I do believe she
- 46:56Speaker 4: doesn't look like a donkey when she smiles. Anna Paulina Luna.
- 47:00Speaker 4: It's weird how AOC, like I said, she looks pretty,
- 47:03Speaker 4: and then she gives that smile, and she looks like
- 47:05Speaker 4: a demon. which explains your politics. So there you go. Anyway,
- 47:09Speaker 4: I wanted to give Captain Jack some grief. All right,
- 47:11Speaker 4: I want to thank Chris Salcedo for joining us here
- 47:13Speaker 4: in the last segment. Once again, short-timer, his final show
- 47:16Speaker 4: is tomorrow from 7 to 9 a.m., so make a
- 47:18Speaker 4: point to tune in. He'll announce what he's doing next
- 47:20Speaker 4: and what he's heading off to do. Very seldom in
- 47:23Speaker 4: radio do you get the opportunity to do what Chris
- 47:25Speaker 4: is doing because he's leaving on amicable terms. He just
- 47:28Speaker 4: got another offer that he couldn't refuse, and he tried
- 47:30Speaker 4: to keep the two together so he could continue, but
- 47:33Speaker 4: I do listen to him talk about that on a
- 47:34Speaker 4: previous show, and he couldn't continue, so.
- 47:39Speaker 4: But nonetheless, his final day is tomorrow morning. So I
- 47:41Speaker 4: was glad to be able to get him on the
- 47:43Speaker 4: program and talk to him, at least say bye here
- 47:45Speaker 4: formally on the show. We're going to stay in touch.
- 47:47Speaker 4: I mean, obviously, I've been in touch with Chris for
- 47:49Speaker 4: a while now, been on the station. And once again,
- 47:51Speaker 4: I totally misspoke. And I was talking about I'm going
- 47:54Speaker 4: to be the longest tenured host. No, I forgot about
- 47:58Speaker 4: El Senador and Astru with a view and even the judge.
- 48:02Speaker 4: That's screwball. Yeah, I forgot. Those guys have been on
- 48:05Speaker 4: for like 25 years, which is why we do our
- 48:07Speaker 4: Friday show on Thursday. Welcome back to Chris X Radio.
- 48:11Speaker 4: It is our Friday show on Thursday. What is on
- 48:13Speaker 4: your mind today? 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. This is our final segment
- 48:20Speaker 4: of the first hour, but don't you go anywhere. Hour
- 48:22Speaker 4: number two is locked and loaded. We'll get a call
- 48:25Speaker 4: here from Bubba, and then we'll wrap up this first
- 48:27Speaker 4: hour and then get you ready for hour number two. Bubba,
- 48:30Speaker 4: hanging out in the woodlands. Thank you for hanging on, Bubba.
- 48:32Speaker 4: Welcome to Chris X Radio.
- 48:34Speaker 10: Happy Friday, Chris.
- 48:36Speaker 4: Well, thank you. Happy Friday to you too, Bubba.
- 48:38Speaker 10: Hey, did you, did you get a chance to look
- 48:40Speaker 10: it up?
- 48:40Speaker 3: It was Derek St. Holmes.
- 48:43Speaker 10: It was with Derek.
- 48:44Speaker 4: That's I didn't look it up, but yes, that is
- 48:46Speaker 4: his name. I can never remember his name. It's Derek St.
- 48:49Speaker 29: Holmes.
- 48:50Speaker 4: And he's still when Ted Nugent tours, he still has
- 48:53Speaker 4: that guy play with them. And that guy still sings stranglehold,
- 48:56Speaker 4: which is incredible because that guy's got a very unique
- 48:58Speaker 4: voice and they such an amazing song.
- 49:02Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 49:03Speaker 10: I saw them back in the late seventies, but, uh, Hey,
- 49:07Speaker 10: you know, talking about music and everything, I tend to
- 49:10Speaker 10: jump onto a music format in the middle of the
- 49:12Speaker 10: day after you guys, you know, you and Chris, you know,
- 49:15Speaker 10: in between y'all shows. And, uh, man, I went over
- 49:19Speaker 10: to the, to the enemy camp, KPFT, you know, they
- 49:22Speaker 10: play good music, but I hate their politic.
- 49:24Speaker 3: Right.
- 49:25Speaker 10: But, uh, anyway, they were, they were playing some pretty good, uh,
- 49:30Speaker 10: deep cuts as easy top today. I give them credit
- 49:32Speaker 10: for that, but you know, they're always asking for money
- 49:34Speaker 10: and everything, but the, The guy made a mistake. He
- 49:38Speaker 10: slipped up, and he said something about they had volunteers
- 49:41Speaker 10: down there stuffing envelopes for Tallarico. So I had to
- 49:45Speaker 10: call him up, and I said, hey.
- 49:46Speaker 13: What?
- 49:48Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah. I said, are you guys.
- 49:52Speaker 10: I called him. I said, you guys are stuffing envelopes
- 49:56Speaker 10: for Tallarico? And the guy said, yeah. And I said, well,
- 50:00Speaker 10: he said, you want to come down? Everybody's a volunteer.
- 50:03Speaker 10: And I said, well, brother... If you're stuffing an envelope
- 50:06Speaker 10: for Tallarico, that's exactly what y'all need to do. You
- 50:09Speaker 10: need to stuff them.
- 50:15Speaker 4: You know, it's funny. I've heard this. My buddy who
- 50:18Speaker 4: passed away, the Drews man. He used to listen to
- 50:21Speaker 4: KPFT as well and love their music, but hated their politics.
- 50:24Speaker 4: He was one of us.
- 50:25Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 50:26Speaker 4: And like I said, he said they had great. There
- 50:28Speaker 4: was one host who had a great like it was
- 50:30Speaker 4: a Texas music show or something, and he loved it.
- 50:33Speaker 4: But he said every time the guy started talking anything
- 50:35Speaker 4: about politics, their left wing nut jobs, which explains why
- 50:38Speaker 4: they'd be stuffing. for Tallarico. I'm glad you told them
- 50:43Speaker 4: to stuff them where they probably should. I wonder if
- 50:46Speaker 4: they're stuffing them with ballots or cash or both or
- 50:49Speaker 4: just stuffing them where the sun don't shine. Who knows?
- 50:53Speaker 3: Have a good one, man.
- 50:54Speaker 1: All right.
- 50:55Speaker 4: Thanks for the call. Appreciate it. Bubba on the Woodlands.
- 50:59Speaker 4: It's cool that you got to see Uncle Ted back
- 51:01Speaker 4: in the day in the 70s when he was touring.
- 51:03Speaker 4: I didn't get to see Ted Nugent live until he
- 51:06Speaker 4: came to Houston with the damn Yankees. That was sort
- 51:09Speaker 4: of a super group with him with uh it was
- 51:12Speaker 4: ted nugent jack blades from night ranger and tommy shaw
- 51:18Speaker 4: from sticks and they some other drummer who was like
- 51:20Speaker 4: this ace young drummer and they uh they formed a
- 51:24Speaker 4: band called the damn yankees and they had a couple
- 51:27Speaker 4: of hits and they came and performed it was so
- 51:29Speaker 4: funny because the band jackal with jesse james dupree opened
- 51:33Speaker 4: up and That guy mooned the audience and told Tipper
- 51:37Speaker 4: Gore to kiss his behind because that was back when
- 51:40Speaker 4: they were going after these bands for explicit lyrics. Once again,
- 51:44Speaker 4: lefties trying to control freedom of speech. But I'll never
- 51:48Speaker 4: forget Ted Nugent, first of all, basically in that band
- 51:52Speaker 4: because you had Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw, both amazing singers.
- 51:55Speaker 4: And they, from what I can remember, they sang everything.
- 51:58Speaker 4: And then they sang Harmony. I know Ted sang some backup.
- 52:01Speaker 4: But Ted was the guitar player extraordinaire. All he did
- 52:05Speaker 4: was walk around that stage and play guitar solo after
- 52:07Speaker 4: guitar solo. And it was amazing. It was good. But
- 52:10Speaker 4: the most amazing thing about that show. First of all,
- 52:13Speaker 4: when Jackal opened up, they had a song they did
- 52:16Speaker 4: called the Lumberjack Song. Where they had a chainsaw that
- 52:19Speaker 4: was tuned to D. Drop D tuned chainsaw that they
- 52:23Speaker 4: used to saw a chair up. They sawed a chair
- 52:28Speaker 4: on stage to bits with that chainsaw after they did
- 52:31Speaker 4: the Lumberjack song. But then to be only outdone by
- 52:36Speaker 4: the Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent, at some point during
- 52:40Speaker 4: the show, a big tarp came off and there was
- 52:43Speaker 4: a big, like a target of Saddam Hussein's head at
- 52:48Speaker 4: the back of the stage behind the drummer. And Ted
- 52:51Speaker 4: Nugent grabbed a bow and arrow, went to the back
- 52:54Speaker 4: of the summit, now known as Joel Osteen's house. and
- 52:58Speaker 4: shot Saddam Hussein's likeness between the eyes over hundreds of
- 53:03Speaker 4: people on the floor of the summit. So, and he, boy,
- 53:09Speaker 4: he nailed it. The guy, once again, he's a Deadeye
- 53:11Speaker 4: with a bow and arrow. But that was very impressive
- 53:15Speaker 4: how he did that during their show. And I think
- 53:17Speaker 4: they did an encore too after it, and then they
- 53:19Speaker 4: were done. That was an entertaining show. That's back when
- 53:22Speaker 4: rock and roll ruled the dials. I remember Jackal, that song,
- 53:27Speaker 4: down on me. That guy, Jesse James Dupree, he's also
- 53:31Speaker 4: a conservative, if I remember correctly. So they were probably
- 53:34Speaker 4: a match made in somewhere. All right, hour number two
- 53:38Speaker 4: is up next. Thanks for the call, Bubba. Always good
- 53:39Speaker 4: to hear from you. We'll be right back with your
- 53:41Speaker 4: Friday show on Thursday.

- 54:19Speaker 33: Dan Goldman, the lead majority counsel in the first impeachment inquiry,
- 54:22Speaker 33: was ousted in his primary. And Shri Thanedar and Al Green,
- 54:26Speaker 33: who both led impeachment pushes against President Trump, were ousted
- 54:29Speaker 33: by younger challengers.
- 54:31Speaker 32: That story from correspondent Bernie Bennett. Ukrainian drones continue to

- 57:30Speaker 2: From KSEV, here's political contributor Ben Strewsand.
- 57:35Speaker 36: Most polling shows that Republicans are going to have a
- 57:38Speaker 36: tough time winning majorities in both houses of Congress in November.
- 57:43Speaker 36: Voters blame Trump for inflation and believe that many of
- 57:47Speaker 36: the necessities they need to purchase have become unaffordable. Two
- 57:51Speaker 36: out of three voters don't believe that preventing Iran from
- 57:54Speaker 36: building a nuclear weapon is worth the higher gas prices
- 57:58Speaker 36: that they are paying. Voters never give a president credit
- 58:01Speaker 36: for preventing bad things like a nuclear war from happening.
- 58:05Speaker 36: President Trump should realize by now that the Islamic Republic
- 58:08Speaker 36: will never agree to a deal that results in a
- 58:11Speaker 36: Trump win. The mullahs read the polls and see the
- 58:14Speaker 36: domestic political pressure to end the war. It's part of
- 58:17Speaker 36: their strategy. We should stop chasing a bad deal. This
- 58:21Speaker 36: does not mean that we should resume unlimited airstrikes, but
- 58:25Speaker 36: rather targeted decapitation strikes against their leadership, as the Israelis
- 58:31Speaker 36: used effectively. If Iranian leaders won't cut a deal, then
- 58:35Speaker 36: let's get new ones.
- 58:36Speaker 4: The real leverage we.
- 58:37Speaker 36: Have against Iran is economics. We destroyed what Iran took
- 58:42Speaker 36: decades to build, their defense industrial base used to manufacture drones, missiles,
- 58:48Speaker 36: and nuclear weapons. Inflation in Iran is running at 40%.
- 58:53Speaker 36: The blockade collapsed the revenue stream used by the Revolutionary
- 58:58Speaker 36: Guard Corps, their security services, and all the government infrastructure.
- 59:03Speaker 36: If our blockade is allowed to continue and not stopped
- 59:07Speaker 36: by Democrats and a few lame Democrats Republicans in Congress,
- 59:11Speaker 36: we can eliminate the mullahs' leverage over its people. We
- 59:15Speaker 36: don't need regime change to pressure them into a better
- 59:19Speaker 36: deal for us.
- 59:20Speaker 5: Just perseverance.
- 59:22Speaker 36: Intercepting what leaks out via Iran's shadow tanker fleet will
- 59:26Speaker 36: speed the process. The best guess is this pressure will
- 59:30Speaker 36: take six months to show results, right around the time
- 59:34Speaker 36: of the elections. I'm Ben Strewsand, and that's my view.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Ben Strewsand, only on AM700 KSEV.
- 59:48Speaker 26: Thank goodness our weather experts are providing us with hurricane
- 59:51Speaker 26: tracking charts and reminding us to be prepared for big storms.
- 59:54Speaker 26: But they overlook one very important thing, the damage and
- 59:57Speaker 26: destruction from broken limbs and uprooted trees. Call Lewis Flory
- 1:00:00Speaker 26: at Ability Tree Experts today. My friend for nearly 40 years.
- 1:00:05Speaker 26: At 281-441-4179 and let him explain how this problem can
- 1:00:09Speaker 26: be minimized with professional pruning. You see, when the tree
- 1:00:13Speaker 26: canopy is too thick and dense, the tree can be
- 1:00:15Speaker 26: completely blown over and tree limbs broken, causing terrible damage
- 1:00:19Speaker 26: to the tree and maybe your home. Where tree limbs break?
- 1:00:23Speaker 26: Sap will ooze, and that attracts harmful insects. So you
- 1:00:26Speaker 26: need to call Louis Flory today at 281-441-4179 and have
- 1:00:32Speaker 26: his experts come out and professionally prune your trees to
- 1:00:35Speaker 26: withstand sudden storms that are so frequent this time of year.
- 1:00:39Speaker 26: Visit their website at AbilityTrees.com. That's 281-441-4179. Ability Tree Experts,

- 1:00:48Speaker 5: KSEV, 700 AM.
- 1:00:56Speaker 23: Launch Control, this is Houston.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: We are going to launch.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Five, four, three, two, one. It's Chris X Radio.
- 1:01:08Speaker 23: Chris X Radio.
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: What we need right now is a clear message to
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: the people of this country. This message must be read
- 1:01:17Speaker 6: in every newspaper, heard on every radio, seen.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: On every television.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: This message must resound throughout the entire interlakeness.
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: And now, your host.
- 1:01:26Speaker 11: I believe this is going to be our finest hour.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: Chris X.
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: Boy, does this message ever need to be heard throughout
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: the entire interlink. Welcome back to Chris X Radio. You've
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: reached the second hour of the program. Glad to have
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: you here on our Friday show on Thursday. You guys
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: know we do our Friday show every Thursday because, well,
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: the Amigos take over on Fridays from 4 to 6.
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: So we have to bump up our Friday show 24
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: hours ahead of everybody else. We manipulate the time-space continuum,
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: and we do it to have a good time, but
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: also to bring you the important news. Speaking of the Amigos,
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: every Friday from 4 to 6, we have El Senador,
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: State Senator Paul Bencourt joining us here. Now he is
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: the ringleader of the Amigos every Friday on The Voice
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: of Texas. A big press release that he released earlier.
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: We talked about it a little bit yesterday, but we
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: need to hear from the man himself. Paul, thanks for
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: being here this afternoon. Glad to have you on the program.
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: Que paso, Chris X? How are you?
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: I'm doing good. I talked with Chris Salcedo a little
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: earlier and wished him the best of, and then now
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: I got El Senador on the program.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Well, before I forget, by the way, Chris Collins and
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: Wayne Dolcefino are going to sit in for Chris Salcedo
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: starting on Monday. So it should be a rock and
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: roll time. And we should be ping-ponging some good guests
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: back and forth between the the morning show and the
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: afternoon show, but Migos couldn't exist without you playing on
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: the road for us four days a week, Chris.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: Well, thank you, too.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: So thanks for doing that.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Well, I always appreciate it, Senator, and I always appreciate
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: when you're breaking news on this program. I covered something
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: a little earlier. Carla Wyatt, the Harris County treasurer, just
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: got voted. This panel of six to three voted to
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: give her a 30 percent raise after she's been arrested
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: three times in her first term as Harris County treasurer. Now,
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: once again, the commissioner's court are not obligated to give
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: her that raise, but she was asking for like a $ 250, 000 raise,
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: which is insane. for someone who's been arrested three times
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: in their first term. But it goes to point out
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: how insane Commissioner's Court is because they just can't seem
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: to find reasons not to spend money. And now they're
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: wanting to give us another huge, in fact, the second
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: largest property tax increase in county history. And you've got
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: a big press release. Break down the numbers and tell
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: us about this.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: This is insane.
- 1:04:04Speaker 31: No, it is.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: Look, the whole thing is this is the second largest
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: tax increase. It's double digits. The question is, is how
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: big is it going to be? Now, my press release
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: went out that about, it's roughly for the average home,
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: about 10%. It's going to be another $ 200. But wait,
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: we're not done yet. They already plastered you for $ 300. Okay.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Two years ago when Lena lied about a 15% tax increase,
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: and it was really a, you know, eight penny increase
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: or 8% increase when she was just lying through her teeth. Now,
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: the problem we've got is that's $ 500, Chris, in just
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: two out of the last three years that the county
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: by itself has jacked up property taxes. And look, we
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: managed to get average school bills down. Lieutenant Governor, myself,
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: and everybody in the legislature voting for it have gotten
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: that tax down to actually about $ 1, 000 on average. uh,
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: you know, in the state and 61% of the seniors
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: are not paying any anymore. But this just tells you
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: that you can't stop a leftist progressive, you know, bank raid.
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: Cause that's really what this is. They're raiding everybody's piggy
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: bank at home because they want, you know, 350 million
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: more dollars for the same services. And if our treasurer
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: was even, even showing up at work, um, and, uh,
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: You know, I've got to call John Lomax out for
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: not letting Mark Cowart get into these stories and let
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: him say, well, at least he'll show up to work
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: because she won't. I mean, somebody might be counting the
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: money besides the commissioner's court, but it's a bad thing.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: It's wasted money. And, you know, this is the last
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: gift of our Democrat Socialist of America, Lena Hildago, to
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: the taxpayers of Harris County.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: Well, you know, Senator Betancourt, now that I think about it,
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: maybe Carla Wyatt wasn't so bad. Maybe that's why she
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: broke into that car and was rummaging through it to
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: try to find loose change to help pay for their
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: just irresponsible spending over at Commissioner's Court. The other thing
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: that you posted, people need to be following Senator Betancourt
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: on social media, on X, Twitter, X. Team Betancourt at
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: Team Betancourt. You can go read the press release right now.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: I shared it yesterday because I always try to do
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: that whenever I see, you know, I'll send it or
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: post something.
- 1:06:36Speaker 26: Sure.
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: But you also posted something recently with Lena Hidalgo saying
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: that she was a fiscal conservative. And I think I
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: remember it was you were saying you didn't know whether
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: to laugh or cry because it's insanity, because here they
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: are wanting. They're trying to offset every single penny that
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: you guys on the state level have saved us with
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: property taxes by jacking up our taxes to fund their
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: irresponsible spending machine in Harris County.
- 1:07:01Speaker 23: Sure.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: Look, Lucas, go to my team betting court and get
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: the second post, the post one down from the one
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: with the press release. And we've got a clip because
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: and we could play it. And basically what you're going
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: to hear in Lena's own voice is that, well, you know,
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: she was. You know, she's either, you know, red or blue.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Maybe she's purple. And she's really a fiscal conservative. I mean,
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: it is flat nuts. And, you know, it was really
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: I was trying to figure out what to say. It
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: was either laugh or get pissed off. So I finally
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: said just laugh and get hacked off.
- 1:07:37Speaker 20: By the way, I pulled that.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: Clip for you, Senator. I'm going to play it right
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: now so people can hear.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: Let's pop it.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: I want you to let people hear this. This is
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: Lena Hidalgo, once again, trying to claim she's somehow a
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: fiscal conservative.
- 1:07:59Speaker 9: What?
- 1:08:07Speaker 29: You know, the left and the right, and obviously I
- 1:08:09Speaker 29: run on the blue side, but if you look at
- 1:08:11Speaker 29: my record.
- 1:08:13Speaker 29: You would consider me a fiscal conservative, certainly with respect
- 1:08:16Speaker 29: to my colleagues. Over all these years, I've voted no
- 1:08:20Speaker 29: on increases that the other colleagues have voted yes on,
- 1:08:24Speaker 29: on major expenses. Under my leadership, the Harris County tax
- 1:08:29Speaker 29: rate has always been lower than it was before I
- 1:08:31Speaker 29: took office. It went down year after year, then went
- 1:08:34Speaker 29: slightly up, but still was lower than what it ever
- 1:08:36Speaker 29: was under my predecessor. So I just want to make
- 1:08:39Speaker 29: that point. And that is what informs my perspective. Do
- 1:08:42Speaker 29: I want to, as somebody who's fiscally conservative, do I
- 1:08:45Speaker 29: want to break that commitment to keep our tax rates
- 1:08:49Speaker 29: lower of, you know, the left and the right?
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: I mean, Chris, this is psychobabble, okay? Because there is...
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: no way that if she votes to raise the tax
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: rate from where it's at, 62 and change, all the
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: way up to 67 or 68, but Commissioner Ramsey just
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: told me he thinks they're even going to go higher
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: into the 70s. then she could possibly claim this. I mean,
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: it is irrational, irresponsible. It's not real. I don't care
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: if she thinks today she wakes up and thinks she's
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: an economic conservative. She might as well be playing basketball
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: in the woke NBA.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: Yeah, well, like I said, she does have a history
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: of mental issues, and I don't want to beat her
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: up for it, but that's the only way you can
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: logically try to deduce what she's saying. Now, here's my question, Senator.
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: If I'm not mistaken, they're not able to go and
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: do this without bringing it up for a vote for
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: us taxpayers here in Harris County, so we get a
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: chance to vote on this?
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: It depends on how high they go, okay? Now, if
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: they stop at five pennies, which is what I think
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: is about $ 200, okay? And, you know, then, no, they don't.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: But if they did what just Commissioner Ramsey told me,
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: that they're thinking they're going to go even another five, okay,
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: then that would be the largest tax increase ever. And, yes,
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: that would have to come up for a vote. So,
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: I mean, part of it is, look, I think folks
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: are really pissed off about two reasons. One, there is
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: an affordability crisis here, okay? And the affordability crisis is there.
- 1:10:35Speaker 21: It's real.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: It's, by the way, why there's a national down graft
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: against Republicans, because folks are unhappy with gas prices and
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: pick an issue on economics. So we've got this crew
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: who are supposedly leftist, progressive socialists for the people that
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: are smashing the people. And the people are going to
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: get hurt the worst are the working class homes and
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: the lower middle class and middle class homes. OK. They're
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: going to get hammered with this. In fact, Bill King
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: just did a he just upgraded his number. And even
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: at the low number, if you just look at the
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: county tax only because you've got the flood control district
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: in the port and, you know, whatever. I mean, you've
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: got the hospital district. That's a 12 percent increase just
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: on the little count on the county portion. And look,
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: nobody's there's no working class or middle class person on
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: average who's got a 12 percent raise. I mean, and
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: they're doing it because I think, Chris, they think they're invulnerable.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: They think they've redistricted, which is why, you know, Cagle
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: lost his job. They think that there's a national downdraft
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: and they can't get tossed out, even when they're smashing taxpayers.
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: And I think it's time for us to spread the
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: word and let our voices be heard that if they're
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: dumb enough to vote for this, You know, maybe people
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: might finally decide it's time to vote these tax and smash, grab,
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: you know, a leftist progressives out of there.
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: Boy, I couldn't agree with you more. We're talking with
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: Senator Paul Betancourt. Once again, he's El Senador. He is
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: the ringleader of the Amigos here every Friday on The
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: Voice of Texas from 4 to 6. Now, I assume
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: because I know you guys, you talk with Bill King
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: on a regular basis. I imagine you probably on tomorrow's program.
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: you're going to have a whole roundtable of different people
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: going to come on and talk about this insanity. Because
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: I looked and saw Bill King's thing that he put
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: out as well, so I can only imagine what he
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: has to say about this, but I imagine you'll be
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: reaching out and talking with him and probably Commissioner Tom Ramsey,
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: the only... one that seems to have any common sense
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: left on commissioner's court. And we got to make sure
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: that we keep him around and let's hope we can get,
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: you know, crazy Lena replaced by Orlando Sanchez and try
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: to get at least a little bit more sanity and
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: offset it just a bit. Because once these, these Democrat
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: socialists get in, it is so hard to get them
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: out of office, Senator.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:13:05Speaker 25: Right.
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: Because look what happened when, when Lena got in in 2018, uh,
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: you know, there was a big bond issue. Judge Emmett
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: just absolutely wanted it in August. I thought it was
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: a mistake on that issue because, you know, once people
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: vote for it, it's in the rearview mirror. He got
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: like 90 some odd percent of the vote for his
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: bond issue. And then he got tossed out, you know,
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: in November and Lena took over. Now, that tells you
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: that even if you consider the former judge of Rhino,
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: which he is not endorsing, you know, in the Senate
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: race like the guy up in, you know, Tarrant County
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: who's endorsed as a Democrat, they get replaced by a
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: leftist progressive socialist. And so that's what happened there. And
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: more importantly, then they went on to redistrict and they
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: took away what was, you know, Steve Raddick's old precinct because,
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: you know, Raddick and Cagle had walked out on a
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: boat and they'd saved like $ 180 million to taxpayers.
- 1:14:04Speaker 10: And then.
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: Tom Ramsey shows up, and it's Ramsey and Cagle walking
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: out saving a billion dollars. This is real money for taxpayers.
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: And then they redistricted and basically stripped it all out
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: to where Leslie Briones can win convincingly and also Adrian
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: Garcia can't. But I'm just calling both of them out
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: and saying, why in the world would you want your
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: legacy to be smash and grab taxes? And it's not
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: just– we're going to talk with everybody. Steve Radek is
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: calling in. You've named two or three of the people.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: I got the bad light up for Orlando, and we're
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: going to put them on the morning show and also yours, Chris.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: And we're just going to keep this drumbeat going. Because
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: it is– the taxpayers will not accept this. There is
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: no increase in taxpayer services. In the last three years,
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: county revenues have just exploded like up to one-third more.
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: We don't have a third more constables on the street.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: We don't have a third more sheriff's deputies on the street.
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: There's not a third more courts to– I mean, there's
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: no reason for this, okay? And I think the Republicans,
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: they should be challenging their Democrats and say, do you
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: agree with a 12% tax increase? And flush them all out.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: I mean, Orlando's up against a real DSA member. Her
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: name is Letitia Plummer. They're having a debate on Monday.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: You know, I'm encouraging Orlando, just let's find out. Ask her, okay?
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: Does she support a 12% increase on county taxpayers? Let's
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: just find out how leftist, progressive, socialist this court wants
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: to get and the people running for office. And then
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: the public has got to listen and wake up on
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: this issue because once these votes are done, it's baked in.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: It would be just in two out of three years,
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: $ 500 more, period, on your average home, which has crept up, well,
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: Homestead's crept up about $ 403, 000.
- 1:16:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: No, it's insanity on a party that is trying to
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: run on affordability that wants to jack your rates.
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: Oh, and not just running on it. They're beating Republicans
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: up from the left coast to the west coast, okay?
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: But here, like in a few places, like Virginia and others,
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: there's an upwelling of what is actually leftist progressive socialist mantra, apparently.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: And they feel like, well, you know, we've redistricted so
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: well that you can't touch us. Well, I think maybe,
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: you know, Commissioner Briones and Commissioner Garcia should think twice
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: about this. Maybe they can. Maybe they can do what
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: happened in Wisconsin with what was her name? Wacky Hong.
- 1:17:11Speaker 13: Okay.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: Francesca Hong.
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:17:15Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: I mean, that she couldn't she could win. And I
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: think it's just important for people when you see him,
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: call him, tell him. There's no fact or supposition of
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: fact that a 12% increase, double-digit increase, whatever it turns
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: out to be, is justified.
- 1:17:32Speaker 30: It's not.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: Yeah, and once again, when it comes to voting, I
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: know we're going to get a chance to vote on
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: the Harris County judge position now that Lena is leaving.
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: And Orlando Sanchez, when I talked to him, by the way,
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: I asked him how many times he was arrested for
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: drunk driving or breaking into a vehicle, and it was zero.
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: He wasn't arrested for anything. And by the way, back then,
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: they had a fiscally conservative budget, and they weren't overdrawn
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: like they are now. They weren't in debt.
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: And get Mark Howard on. He's got a good sense
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: of humor, and You know, because for some reason, well,
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: I know not for some reason, they're not, when they
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: run a story about her and they say, oh, she
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: refuses to comment, then the next comment should be, and
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: her opponent, Mark Howard, says she shouldn't be in office.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: But they don't print it yet. Okay?
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely.
- 1:18:20Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: That's about ready to be an Uncle Paul complaint to
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: the top of the paper.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I've had both him and, of course, Orlando on
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: the program, and we'll definitely get them back as we
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: get closer. All right, El Senador, well, I think you've
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: teased it pretty well for tomorrow. Everybody needs to tune
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: in to the Amigos from 4 to 6. Sounds like
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: you guys are going to have everybody on.
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, look, I mean, you know, look at
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: your neighbors, okay?
- 1:18:43Speaker 11: Come on.
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: I mean, you know, why are they having to pay
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: hundreds of dollars or more a year for the same stuff?
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: whatever those services are? That's the bottom line. And people
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: just can't afford it. Yeah, I agree. And actually, I'm
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: now getting started because this buzz. So just, you know, Chris,
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: you've always done a great job of publicizing these breaking
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: news stories. So I'm telling the audience, Talk about it.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: Talk to Democrats about it. Talk to independents about it.
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: Nobody wants this. And tell everybody in, you know, precincts
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: three and I think, yeah, three and two to call,
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: you know, Garcia and Briones.
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: Let them know. All right. Well, thanks for your time today,
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: El Senador. I look forward to tuning in tomorrow and
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: always appreciate you coming on the program and breaking this
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: kind of stuff, because this is the thing people need
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: to know what these these leftist progressives are doing. We
- 1:19:37Speaker 4: need to stop them.
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: Well, can I out you for showing up at the booth,
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: but you didn't want to go on last Friday? Oops,
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: I shouldn't have said that.
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: I just had to stop by to say hello to
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: my favorite senator, but there's no room.
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: You're always welcome. Eric was happy to give up his camera.
- 1:19:56Speaker 4: He tried to give me his seat like five times.
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: I'm like, wait a minute. I don't want to get
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: beat up by Ben.
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: Well, because he knew we were talking about this.
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: Yeah, he wants to run ahead and talk about his
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: next future Miss X judge. So there's that.
- 1:20:11Speaker 31: All right, Judge.
- 1:20:11Speaker 14: You got it.
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: Thank you for being here. Once again, Senator Paul Betancourt,
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: El Senador. He'll be back with the Amigos tomorrow from
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: 4 to 6. Follow him on Twitter, X, at Team Betancourt.
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: He's also on Facebook. You can follow him there and
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: make sure because that way that's when you start getting
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: the real numbers on what these clowns are doing over
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: at Commissioner's Court. And it's a pain and it sucks
- 1:20:31Speaker 4: that the state senator, along with Lieutenant Governor and Governor,
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: have to crack down on these clowns in these counties.
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: But that's what happens. They stack the deck and get
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: in and then slowly but surely start. They just can't
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: get enough of your money to spend on stupid things.
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: So it's time to get in people like Mark Howard and,
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: of course, Orlando Sanchez and try to get some sanity
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: back in these counties. My Lord, Lord, Lord knows we
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: need it here in Harris County. All right, let's take
- 1:20:56Speaker 4: a short break. We'll open up the phones to you guys.
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: It is our Friday show on Thursday. 281-558-KSEV, 281-558-5738. We'll
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: be right back taking your phone calls, talking about whatever
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: you guys want to talk about. It is our Friday
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: show on Thursday.
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: The revolution continues after this. Chris X Radio.
- 1:21:21Speaker 21: Chris X.
- 1:21:23Speaker 17: Do you need money? Want to lower your monthly debt?
- 1:21:25Speaker 17: Are you thinking about a cash-out refinance? Hi, it's Kathy
- 1:21:29Speaker 17: from Baker Mortgage. A cash-out refinance can get you back
- 1:21:32Speaker 17: in your comfort zone, and that's what it's all about.
- 1:21:35Speaker 17: A recent client who closed with us had his payment
- 1:21:38Speaker 17: go up about $ 300, but his monthly outgo was being
- 1:21:42Speaker 17: reduced by $ 1, 200, so giving him a net positive cash
- 1:21:46Speaker 17: flow of $ 900. It's not about adding debt, but restructuring
- 1:21:50Speaker 17: it in a way that makes sense. And this math
- 1:21:53Speaker 17: totally makes sense. And please don't sweat it if your
- 1:21:56Speaker 17: interest rate is going up a little or if you're
- 1:21:58Speaker 17: extending the term. I can show you by taking a
- 1:22:01Speaker 17: small amount of what you're saving monthly and applying it
- 1:22:04Speaker 17: towards your mortgage, you're going to pay it off just
- 1:22:07Speaker 17: as quickly and you'll be way ahead in the money game,
- 1:22:10Speaker 17: which is where we all want to be, right? Remember,
- 1:22:12Speaker 17: we want to help you. But we're not going to.
- 1:22:14Speaker 18: Help you over a cliff.

- 1:22:56Speaker 30: After 14 years, the Chris Salcedo Show parting ways with
- 1:23:00Speaker 30: the voice of Texas.
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: But we're heading to the national show on a high note.
- 1:23:04Speaker 30: The speaker of the Texas House, Dustin Burroughs, joins the
- 1:23:07Speaker 30: Chris Salcedo Show.
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: We'll also talk with our pals over at Breitbart News.
- 1:23:10Speaker 30: How are the Republicans faring as we barrel toward the
- 1:23:13Speaker 30: 2026 midterm elections? A powerful and emotional Chris Salcedo Show
- 1:23:19Speaker 30: gets underway 7 o'clock right after the press box on
- 1:23:22Speaker 30: The Voice of Texas.
- 1:23:26Speaker 37: This is Kevin O'Hara with O'Hara & Company Real Estate.
- 1:23:28Speaker 37: Our country's founding fathers drafted a document that is the
- 1:23:31Speaker 37: Declaration of Independence. We hold these truths to be self-evident,
- 1:23:35Speaker 37: that all men are created equal, that they are endowed
- 1:23:38Speaker 37: by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: Are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
- 1:23:44Speaker 37: To secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving
- 1:23:47Speaker 37: their powers from the consent of the governed. My friends
- 1:23:50Speaker 37: at O'Hare & Company Real Estate, we believe we're at
- 1:23:53Speaker 37: our precipice in time where we must take back our country.
- 1:23:56Speaker 37: We must stand up for our freedoms or lose them forever.
- 1:23:58Speaker 37: Please don't sit idle and let it slip away. Don't
- 1:24:01Speaker 37: let anyone force you to do something you choose not to.
- 1:24:04Speaker 37: As JFK said, if.
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: Not us, who?
- 1:24:07Speaker 5: If not now, when?
- 1:24:09Speaker 37: If you're looking to buy or sell real estate, give
- 1:24:11Speaker 37: O'Hara & Company Real Estate a call at 281-373-3393, 281-373-3393,
- 1:24:14Speaker 37: or look us up on the web at oharare.com. I'm
- 1:24:22Speaker 37: Kevin O'Hara. God bless America, and God bless Texas.
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: And now, back to Chris X Radio. Chris X Radio.
- 1:24:30Speaker 5: On the voice of Texas.
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: I heard Jeremy spoke in class today.
- 1:24:46Speaker 22: That's what I heard.
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: Maybe that's a very dark subject, but it's a good song.
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: Back in the 90s, we were all stupid and contagious.
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: Welcome back to Chris X Radio. I want to thank
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: El Senador Paul Bettencourt for joining us in the last segment.
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: I wanted to kick off this hour. Once again, talk
- 1:25:04Speaker 4: to your friends, talk to your neighbors, talk to your friends,
- 1:25:06Speaker 4: especially homeowners, and know that these Democrat progressives on Commissioner's
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: Court are wanting to jack your taxes once again. And
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: you can't trust what they tell you. Once again, once
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: they get into office, it's so hard to get in.
- 1:25:20Speaker 4: They bring in these elections administrators, unelected and botched elections,
- 1:25:25Speaker 4: quote unquote, while they slowly but surely consolidate power. And
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: then it is so hard to get rid of them. Anyway,
- 1:25:30Speaker 4: I'm glad El Senador joined us. Tomorrow, they've got a
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: packed house on the Amigos, which they run every Friday
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: from 4 to 6. So make sure you make an
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: appointment to tune into the Amigos every Friday morning. from
- 1:25:42Speaker 4: 4 to 6 here on The Voice of Texas. It
- 1:25:44Speaker 4: is our Friday show on Thursday. Since they do a
- 1:25:46Speaker 4: Friday show on Friday, we move our Friday show 24
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: hours ahead and we kick off the weekend just a
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: little bit in front of everybody else. 281-558-KSEV if you
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: want to join us. 281-558-5738. All right, so let me
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: get into some of these issues here. Once again, if
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: you want to join us, 281-558-KSEV. Trump says that the U.S.
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: will go from local Trump says the U.S. is going
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: to wage an unprecedented economic D-Day warfare against Iran. I
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: guess this is somewhat of a new strategy in the
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: military operation. The United States will launch an all-out economic
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: warfare against Iran, President Trump announced on Wednesday. No one
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: has given the Islamic Republic of Iran a greater opportunity
- 1:26:35Speaker 4: to make a deal than me. Tragically for them, they
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: have failed to take it. He posted on True Social. Therefore,
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: today I'm announcing the most crushing economic operation ever taken
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: against any country. This will be economic warfare and isolation
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: on an unprecedented scale. Trump never speaks in hyperbole, does he?
- 1:27:00Speaker 4: He announced that foreign countries that will allow their financial institutions, businesses,
- 1:27:05Speaker 4: airports or government entities to provide any type of lifeline
- 1:27:09Speaker 4: to Iran will face tremendous economic consequences. They're going to
- 1:27:13Speaker 4: be huge consequences like you've never seen before. Fire and
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: fury like you've never seen before. Trump gave several examples
- 1:27:23Speaker 4: of conduct that the United States would penalize, including oil smuggling,
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: swap lines, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries, and front companies.
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: He didn't name any offenders, but said that such nations,
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: you know who you are, this will be an economic D-Day,
- 1:27:43Speaker 4: and we need all of our allies to stand with
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: the United States of America to isolate and defeat the
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: Iran threat. These maniacs are on the ropes and these
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: historic measures will cripple them and their ability to project
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: terror worldwide. Listen, once again, nobody likes paying additional money
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: for gas. I get it. Oil prices rose on this news.
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: But Iran has been the number one state sponsor of
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: terror in the history of the world for the last
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: 40 years. I do believe 49 years, something like that.
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: They've been working towards getting a nuclear weapon. Yeah, it sucks.
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: I hate that we're going through this. Apparently, we're the
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: only ones in the world that are really willing to
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: step up and take care of this. And let me
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: rephrase that. I say we. I'm referring to the United States.
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: And what I mean is Donald Trump. This is not a...
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: popular decision. This is not a popular move, but he's
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: doing it because it's better for not only America, but
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: the entire world to quit allowing these dirtbags to in Dirkadirkistan,
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: known as Iran, to terrorize the entire world, to kill
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: American soldiers, to kill other people, to kill their own people,
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: he's now stepping in and doing something about it. Everybody's
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: calling for somebody to do something about it, but no
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: one was willing to actually go through the process.
- 1:29:09Speaker 29: Why?
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: Because military conflict is very unpopular, and Americans don't have
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: the stomach for it. They really don't. Anyway, all right,
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: it is our Friday show on Thursday. Let's go and
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: take a break because we went way over with El Senador.
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: 281-558-KSEV if you want to join us. It is our
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: Friday show on Thursday, so we'll talk about whatever is
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: on your mind today. I know we had a lot
- 1:29:31Speaker 4: of guests, so we haven't heard from the Cracker Smoker today.
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: Don't know what he was doing. He got mentioned. That
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: was funny. Jimmy X to the second power mentioned him
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: in the first call. Then again, I don't think he
- 1:29:45Speaker 4: needs a wig. I think he's got long hair. He's
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: one of those long-haired hippies. So he doesn't need a
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: wig to join the WNBA. Chris, I don't know if
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: they would allow him to take Luigi the Squeegee with him. 281-558-KSEV.
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: You're listening to Chris X Radio. We've got two segments remaining.
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: Don't you go anywhere.

- 1:31:29Speaker 25: When it's time to replace a roof, some people put
- 1:31:32Speaker 25: it off until an emergency arises. This is Deb Tejada
- 1:31:35Speaker 25: from Tejas Roofing, your Houston roofing company.
- 1:31:37Speaker 10: I understand.
- 1:31:38Speaker 25: People tell me it's way too complicated and too expensive.
- 1:31:42Speaker 24: Our customers tell us they wish they would have done
- 1:31:45Speaker 24: it sooner.
- 1:31:45Speaker 34: I hear it all the time.
- 1:31:47Speaker 25: Once the roof is replaced, they wonder why they waited
- 1:31:49Speaker 25: so long because it's really not that complicated. We show
- 1:31:53Speaker 25: up on time. We quote you a fair price. We
- 1:31:55Speaker 25: replace most roofs in just one day. At Tejas Roofing,
- 1:31:58Speaker 25: we take pride in making the process easy.
- 1:32:01Speaker 24: The cleanup is phenomenal. People always comment that it looks
- 1:32:04Speaker 24: like we were never there. And now those customers sleep
- 1:32:07Speaker 24: better at night knowing your new roof has been installed correctly.
- 1:32:10Speaker 25: When you know you need a new roof, don't put
- 1:32:12Speaker 25: it off. Call me now, Depth Ahada, at Tejas.

- 1:32:30Speaker 23: Checker Pro Joe here. My guest this week will be
- 1:32:32Speaker 23: Cody Johnson from Garage Door Doctor. For all of your
- 1:32:35Speaker 23: garage door needs, contact Garage Door Doctor at 281-343-3632.
- 1:32:41Speaker 31: Join Joe every Saturday at 1 o'clock here on AM
- 1:32:44Speaker 31: 700 KSEV, the voice of Texas.
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: From the KSEV Weather Center, tonight expect mainly clear skies
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: with high humidity and a low temperature of 79 degrees.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: Tomorrow will bring partly sunny conditions with intense heat reaching
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: a high of 101 degrees. As night falls, anticipate partly
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: cloudy skies with warm and humid weather and a low
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: of 80 degrees. Looking ahead to Saturday, it'll be a
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: hot day with a mix of sun and clouds and
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: the possibility of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. The high
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: temperature on Saturday will once again be 101 degrees. With
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: the KSCB Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Jason Catarina.
- 1:33:23Speaker 20: The voice of Texas. The voice of reason. Chris X Radio.
- 1:33:37Speaker 4: You know, I am told it is a long way
- 1:33:40Speaker 4: to the top if you're going to try to rock
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: and roll. So I rock and rolled through college. That
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: was fun. But it's a tough gig when you reach
- 1:33:51Speaker 4: a certain age and a certain level of, well, I
- 1:33:55Speaker 4: wouldn't call it maturity. Nonetheless. All right, welcome back to
- 1:33:58Speaker 4: Chris X Radio. You reached the final two segments of
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: our Friday show on Thursday. We'll talk about whatever is
- 1:34:03Speaker 4: on your mind today. If you want to join us, 281-558-KSEV. 281-558-5738.
- 1:34:09Speaker 4: All right, so we went to Trump talking about Iran
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: with his new D-Day, you know, lawfare, whatever, money. So
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: he's going to shut them down that way. Now let's
- 1:34:20Speaker 4: move a little back to Texas. James Tallarico apparently backs
- 1:34:24Speaker 4: convicted murderer Carmelo Anthony in his murder case. He says
- 1:34:30Speaker 4: the black teen's conviction for stabbing the white football star shows, quote,
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: a system is not working for black Texans. He talked
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: about the murder of Austin Metcalf at the hands of
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: Carmelo Anthony. And now he is throwing his support behind
- 1:34:50Speaker 4: Metcalf's killer, Carmelo, who's now 19 years old, who is
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: a convicted murderer now. Now, they got a big win.
- 1:34:56Speaker 4: The attorneys are back in the Texas courtroom today seeking
- 1:34:58Speaker 4: a new trial after they succeeded in, I guess, a
- 1:35:02Speaker 4: big win for them, was having the judge from the
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: original trial removed because he made comments on a show
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: after the trial was completed. So they've used that to
- 1:35:11Speaker 4: make sure they get rid of him for the next trial.
- 1:35:15Speaker 4: But in an interview on a black radio show known
- 1:35:18Speaker 4: as The Breakfast Club earlier this month, said the conviction
- 1:35:22Speaker 4: of Anthony, a black teenager who fatally stabbed Metcalf, who
- 1:35:25Speaker 4: was white, at a high school track meet in Frisco,
- 1:35:28Speaker 4: is proof that the criminal justice system is not working
- 1:35:30Speaker 4: for black Texans. You ignore the fact that this kid
- 1:35:34Speaker 4: had a knife at a track meet, which is illegal,
- 1:35:37Speaker 4: not supposed to be there. He was in a tent
- 1:35:39Speaker 4: he wasn't supposed to be in. He was told a
- 1:35:41Speaker 4: minimum of 15 times to leave by multiple people. And
- 1:35:44Speaker 4: then once he told Metcalf to make me leave, Metcalf
- 1:35:49Speaker 4: got up and he stabbed him in the heart unprovoked
- 1:35:52Speaker 4: and murdered him. But this is what your candidate for
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: the Democrat Party thinks about Trump. Justice here in Texas.
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: Take a listen.
- 1:36:01Speaker 14: In your state of Texas, we see what happened with
- 1:36:04Speaker 14: Carmelo Anthony, and you said it was a tragedy.
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:36:07Speaker 24: What did you mean by that?
- 1:36:08Speaker 8: Well, I've done a lot of work in the statehouse
- 1:36:10Speaker 8: on justice reform, and right now we've got a system
- 1:36:13Speaker 8: that doesn't serve all Americans equally, and we know that
- 1:36:17Speaker 8: black Texans have not gotten the justice they deserve in
- 1:36:23Speaker 8: many cases. And I'm not an expert on this particular case,
- 1:36:26Speaker 8: but I know that there were no black members of
- 1:36:28Speaker 8: the jury. And to me, that's the only evidence you
- 1:36:31Speaker 8: need to really prove that this system is not working
- 1:36:35Speaker 8: for black Texans.
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: So he claims the system isn't working for black Texans.
- 1:36:39Speaker 4: First of all, it wasn't an all-white jury. There were
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: no black people because they disqualified themselves because they couldn't
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: be impartial. I think there were three of them. Okay,
- 1:36:50Speaker 4: they claim they couldn't be impartial, so they were dismissed properly.
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: That sounds like justice. And then there were multiple people
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: of Hispanic, Asian, whites, all different on this jury that
- 1:37:00Speaker 4: convicted Carmelo Anthony relatively quickly, and it is a tragedy.
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: It is terrible that Carmelo's response... was to show up
- 1:37:08Speaker 4: in a place he wasn't supposed to be, bring a
- 1:37:10Speaker 4: knife he wasn't allowed to bring, and to stab a
- 1:37:13Speaker 4: kid in the heart to create an issue, create a problem.
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: And his first response was deadly violence. And dirtbags like
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: James Tallarico, Mr. Tallarico, say the criminal justice system is
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: not working for black Texans. Typical Democrat, pandering to blacks
- 1:37:32Speaker 4: to win their vote. Oh, yeah, pandering is as hard
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: as he can. He's not the first Democrat to go
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: onto these shows and pander. That was just from August
- 1:37:42Speaker 4: 5th with his interview on The Breakfast Club, this popular
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: New York City talk radio show that has become sort
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: of a proving ground for white Democrats who seek to
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: woo black voters. In 2016, Hillary Clinton went on the
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: show and claimed that she carries around hot sauce in
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: her purse. Now, that was a claim that the host,
- 1:38:01Speaker 4: Charlamagne Tha God, said sounded like she was pandering to
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: black voters. Because she was. That's what Democrats do. They pander.
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: In 2020, Joe Biden went on the show and said,
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: do you have a problem figuring out whether you're for
- 1:38:15Speaker 4: me or for Trump? Then you ain't black. They're being
- 1:38:20Speaker 4: as racist AF as they possibly can. They're pandering. I
- 1:38:25Speaker 4: can't believe black people fall for this. I can't believe
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: that black people vote for these dirt bags when they go.
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: It's like, it's like the slave masters going to blacks
- 1:38:35Speaker 4: and saying, going to the slaves and going, Hey, listen,
- 1:38:38Speaker 4: you've got your freedom.
- 1:38:39Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: You guys have your freedom. You can go off, but man,
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: you just wait, wait till you go out there and
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: have to work for yourself. Wait till you have to
- 1:38:46Speaker 4: go pay for your own mortgages and pay for your
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: own homes and have to take care of your own
- 1:38:49Speaker 4: children and do that. Oh, no, no, no, no. You
- 1:38:52Speaker 4: need to stay right here on the plantation and work
- 1:38:55Speaker 4: for me and I'll take care of you. That is
- 1:38:59Speaker 4: basically what the Democrats do every election cycle. and pander
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: and then want to defend convicted murderers as though somehow
- 1:39:08Speaker 4: the black race has been slighted because this kid somehow
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: decided that was a logical conclusion to go to a
- 1:39:17Speaker 4: place he wasn't supposed to be, bring a knife he
- 1:39:19Speaker 4: wasn't allowed to bring on campus or at a campus event,
- 1:39:23Speaker 4: and then his first response to a conflict was, one,
- 1:39:27Speaker 4: not to leave, and then, two, stab a white kid
- 1:39:29Speaker 4: in the heart. Imagine Just imagine if the races were reversed.
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: Imagine if a white kid showed up to a tent
- 1:39:41Speaker 4: on a school venue, a school event, track event with
- 1:39:44Speaker 4: a knife. And he said, make me leave. And the
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: first thing he did was stab a black kid in
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: the heart. Do you think he'd be getting the same
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: support from the community? Every black person in this country
- 1:39:57Speaker 4: would scream white supremacy. Every, not every black person, but
- 1:40:02Speaker 4: every black person on the Democrat plantation, if you will.
- 1:40:05Speaker 4: Every Democrat would do it. Oh my God, this person
- 1:40:08Speaker 4: must be locked up forever. Instead, they're rallying to get
- 1:40:11Speaker 4: them another trial. This was a slam dunk case. This
- 1:40:15Speaker 4: was a no brainer of a case. In fact, it
- 1:40:18Speaker 4: wasn't even close. Since when is it okay for anyone
- 1:40:23Speaker 4: to bring knives onto school campus events and stab someone
- 1:40:26Speaker 4: in the heart and then claim you're somehow wronged? He
- 1:40:29Speaker 4: ran from the tent after he stabbed him. And then
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: when the cops came and caught up with him, he
- 1:40:34Speaker 4: admitted to committing the crime and then asked if Mr.
- 1:40:38Speaker 4: Metcalf was okay. No, dude, you stabbed him in the heart.
- 1:40:41Speaker 4: You murdered him. But don't worry. There's always a race
- 1:40:46Speaker 4: hustler like Al Sharpton. or now James Talafrico, who's running
- 1:40:52Speaker 4: for office, and he's not doing real well with the
- 1:40:55Speaker 4: black community, and he needs to gin up black votes.
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: So of course he's going to jump there and do that.
- 1:41:01Speaker 4: Of course he is. Because everything else that he has
- 1:41:06Speaker 4: voted for and stood for over the last few years
- 1:41:09Speaker 4: is antithetical to most black people in the state. They
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: don't believe God is non-binary. They don't believe in six genders.
- 1:41:19Speaker 4: Most of them aren't transing their children. In fact, we've
- 1:41:22Speaker 4: seen in the Democrat community, black people are making sure
- 1:41:27Speaker 4: their kids are well-versed in violence because a dad usually
- 1:41:30Speaker 4: isn't in the home in the Democrat community. The government is.
- 1:41:34Speaker 4: And when dad isn't in the home, many of these
- 1:41:36Speaker 4: young black men grow up to do what? To commit crimes.
- 1:41:40Speaker 4: That's why they're responsible for a disproportionate amount of crime
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: in our country. And that includes murders. You go look
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: at the murders. The vast majority of murders in this
- 1:41:48Speaker 4: country are committed by young black men. You know what
- 1:41:51Speaker 4: the commonality is? Most of them are from the hood.
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: Most of them are raised in environments without a father
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: in the home because the government, the Democrats decided to
- 1:42:00Speaker 4: replace the father with government and have done everything they
- 1:42:03Speaker 4: can to destroy the black community. And they have proven
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: with people like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden and now
- 1:42:08Speaker 4: James Tallarico that they're not done destroying the black community. Oh,
- 1:42:13Speaker 4: I know it started years ago with the Ku Klux Klan.
- 1:42:17Speaker 4: When they formed the Ku Klux Klan to try to
- 1:42:18Speaker 4: keep black people scared and not enjoying the American dream. Yeah,
- 1:42:22Speaker 4: it was that. And then they voted against civil rights. Yeah,
- 1:42:25Speaker 4: they did that. And the Jim Crow laws that were
- 1:42:27Speaker 4: passed to keep them from voting. And then now they
- 1:42:29Speaker 4: blame Republicans every time Republicans try to do things that
- 1:42:33Speaker 4: help black people vote and everybody else in the country.
- 1:42:35Speaker 14: No, no, no.
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: No, they want to continue to cheat because they're not
- 1:42:39Speaker 4: interested in helping the black community. They're only interested in what?
- 1:42:43Speaker 4: Absolute power. And they're not going to stop. And it
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: is up to us to get the word out to
- 1:42:50Speaker 4: let people know what kind of a dirtbag James Tallarico is.
- 1:42:54Speaker 4: This is a guy that will hand over your children
- 1:42:57Speaker 4: to the woke mob. Remember back in the day, Democrats
- 1:43:00Speaker 4: were handing over black people to the lynch mobs. And
- 1:43:03Speaker 4: they lynched them in their front yards, all around. And
- 1:43:06Speaker 4: then the Ku Klux Klan, that's what they were doing.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: Brought to you by the Democrat Party. They're still the
- 1:43:13Speaker 4: same party. They're still the same racist dirtbags. They've just
- 1:43:17Speaker 4: changed the target of their ire. Now they claim Republicans
- 1:43:23Speaker 4: are doing... They're blaming Republicans for all the things that
- 1:43:26Speaker 4: they've done in the past. It's almost astonishing. But that's
- 1:43:31Speaker 4: how they roll. That is what they do. And they're
- 1:43:34Speaker 4: not going to change it. All right, gang, let's go
- 1:43:36Speaker 4: ahead and wrap up this program. We've got one segment remaining.
- 1:43:38Speaker 4: If you want to get in here before we run
- 1:43:40Speaker 4: out of time, it is our Friday show on Thursday.

- 1:44:09Speaker 5: Garage door doctor.
- 1:44:12Speaker 13: We got a call late New Year's Eve. A father
- 1:44:14Speaker 13: with big plans for his family the next day said
- 1:44:16Speaker 13: his garage door spring just snapped. He couldn't get his
- 1:44:18Speaker 13: car out and wouldn't be able to get his family
- 1:44:20Speaker 13: to where they needed to go. He felt stuck and alone.
- 1:44:23Speaker 13: So we showed up fast with the right spring and
- 1:44:26Speaker 13: the right parts to fix it right. We didn't talk
- 1:44:28Speaker 13: about the price. We didn't wait till the morning. We

- 1:47:21Speaker 4: Mary Jane, but it is Chris Salcedo's, well, his last
- 1:47:25Speaker 4: dance with KACV. Welcome back to Chris X Radio. You're
- 1:47:29Speaker 4: listening to The Voice of Texas. This is our final
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: segment of our Friday show on Thursday. That's right, we're
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: going to wrap things up here at 6 p.m. We'll
- 1:47:37Speaker 4: return to your original broadcast programming. We'll relinquish the reins,
- 1:47:41Speaker 4: and then we'll be back next week, God willing. I
- 1:47:44Speaker 4: want to thank our guest today, El Senador Paul Betancourt,
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: who joined us, talking about this massive tax increase that
- 1:47:51Speaker 4: Harris County wants to dump on the Harris County residents.
- 1:47:55Speaker 4: I want to try to do anything I can to
- 1:47:56Speaker 4: make sure that doesn't happen. I want to stop that.
- 1:47:59Speaker 4: So we'll be talking about that here in days and
- 1:48:00Speaker 4: weeks to come. Also want to thank Chris Salcedo. His final,
- 1:48:03Speaker 4: his ultimate program, his final show here on KSCV is
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: tomorrow morning from 7 to 9 a.m. Tune in. I
- 1:48:09Speaker 4: guess he's going to announce where he's headed and what
- 1:48:12Speaker 4: he'll be doing. So that is tomorrow morning from 7
- 1:48:15Speaker 4: to 9. I'll be tuning in, checking it out. And then,
- 1:48:18Speaker 4: like I said, if all goes well, I'll be back
- 1:48:20Speaker 4: on Monday, God willing. Like I said, this is a
- 1:48:24Speaker 4: crazy business. At any given moment, anything can change. So
- 1:48:28Speaker 4: as we wrap up here, the program today is our
- 1:48:30Speaker 4: Friday show on Thursday. All right, so I kind of
- 1:48:33Speaker 4: saved this story for the end because, well, it is
- 1:48:36Speaker 4: what it is. The FBI has confiscated Eric Swalwell's electronic
- 1:48:40Speaker 4: devices at the airport for a sexual misconduct probe. Disgraced
- 1:48:45Speaker 4: former representative Eric Swalwell was reportedly confronted by the FBI
- 1:48:50Speaker 4: agents at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday where his
- 1:48:54Speaker 4: electronic devices were seized as part of his federal criminal
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: probe into sexual misconduct. Swalwell, who resigned from Congress in April,
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: was relieved of his cell phone and other associated electronics
- 1:49:08Speaker 4: after a search warrant was produced. This is according to
- 1:49:12Speaker 4: the Daily Mail. They first reported it. Additional undisclosed potential
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: evidence was also taken, as well-placed sources told the outlet,
- 1:49:20Speaker 4: clarifying that he cooperated fully throughout. Now, Swalwell, who's now
- 1:49:24Speaker 4: 45 years old, faces multiple sexual assault allegations. At least
- 1:49:29Speaker 4: four women have made sexual misconduct allegations, including a former
- 1:49:33Speaker 4: staffer who claimed the married politician raped her twice when
- 1:49:38Speaker 4: she was too intoxicated to consent in 2019 and in 2024. Now,
- 1:49:44Speaker 4: files declassified earlier this week by President Trump on Swalwell
- 1:49:47Speaker 4: are And the Chinese spy known as Fang Fang also
- 1:49:51Speaker 4: revealed the disgraced ex-Congressman admitted to the FBI that he
- 1:49:55Speaker 4: had a sexual relationship with a Chinese spy and that
- 1:49:58Speaker 4: the Bureau attempted at one point to recruit her without
- 1:50:02Speaker 4: her knowledge. So, once again, the lamestream media, man, they
- 1:50:09Speaker 4: didn't seem to have much interest in it. But Alex
- 1:50:11Speaker 4: Stein did, and he had one of the best interviews.
- 1:50:13Speaker 38: Eric, is this Fang Fang, the Chinese spy, Eric? Remember
- 1:50:17Speaker 38: when you slept with that Chinese spy, Eric? Why don't
- 1:50:20Speaker 38: you ever talk about that, Fang Fang? Remember your banging
- 1:50:23Speaker 38: Fang Fang? People are saying that she gave you an insertion.
- 1:50:27Speaker 4: Is that true?
- 1:50:28Speaker 9: What?
- 1:50:29Speaker 38: This is a guy who's banging Chinese spies.
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: Nobody investigates you, Eric. Why is that?
- 1:50:34Speaker 38: Nobody investigates this guy banging Chinese spies like it's no
- 1:50:37Speaker 38: big deal.
- 1:50:39Speaker 4: Once again, while he was serving, no one seemed to
- 1:50:41Speaker 4: be investigating him. Well, he's being investigated now, obviously. Talk
- 1:50:47Speaker 4: about a fall from grace. He was one of these
- 1:50:49Speaker 4: big anti-Trumpers, impeachment hoaxers, one of the ones trying to
- 1:50:53Speaker 4: impeach Trump every five minutes. And then it turns out
- 1:50:56Speaker 4: he was sexually assaulting staffers and other women and having
- 1:51:02Speaker 4: an affair with a Chinese spy, and they were trying
- 1:51:06Speaker 4: to place other Chinese spies in other congresspeople's offices. This
- 1:51:13Speaker 4: is what passes for a Democrat, folks. You go on
- 1:51:16Speaker 4: the national level, there you go, it's the House of Representatives,
- 1:51:19Speaker 4: and then he would try to run for governor of
- 1:51:20Speaker 4: California and had to drop out because too many of
- 1:51:23Speaker 4: these sexual assault allegations were coming forward. So then you
- 1:51:28Speaker 4: got that here on the local level. You have Democrats
- 1:51:30Speaker 4: like Carla Wyatt, who in her first term as Harris
- 1:51:33Speaker 4: County treasurer has been arrested three times, twice for drunk driving,
- 1:51:37Speaker 4: once for breaking into a vehicle and taking whatever was
- 1:51:40Speaker 4: inside that vehicle. They somehow got the owner of the vehicle, which,
- 1:51:44Speaker 4: by the way, I saw the interview initially.
- 1:51:47Speaker 5: He said, I don't know, Carla.
- 1:51:48Speaker 4: I don't know who this person is. I don't know
- 1:51:50Speaker 4: why this person was in my car. I don't know
- 1:51:52Speaker 4: what they were trying to take. They somehow got her
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: to drop the charges, I guess. or to not file charges,
- 1:51:59Speaker 4: or whatever. But she's still facing drunken driving charges in
- 1:52:03Speaker 4: Galveston County, and she's been arrested twice in Harris County.
- 1:52:07Speaker 4: Three arrests total, initially asking for a $ 250, 000 raise to
- 1:52:10Speaker 4: request $ 305, 000. Well, this panel of nine Harris County residents
- 1:52:13Speaker 4: voted 6-3 to approve a 30% raise for Carla Wyatt.
- 1:52:14Speaker 4: Why do we give these politicians raises? Who are these
- 1:52:27Speaker 4: clowns on this convened panel that think a person who
- 1:52:32Speaker 4: was arrested only three times, she was only arrested three times,
- 1:52:35Speaker 4: let's give her more of our tax dollars so then
- 1:52:37Speaker 4: commissioners court can go back and try to jack us
- 1:52:39Speaker 4: for the highest or the second highest tax increase in
- 1:52:44Speaker 4: Harris County history. It is time to get rid of
- 1:52:47Speaker 4: these clowns. Hopefully Mark Cowart and get in and replace her,
- 1:52:51Speaker 4: and then we get Orlando Sanchez as Harris County judge,
- 1:52:54Speaker 4: get rid of Lena Hidalgo, and start reinstating some sort
- 1:52:58Speaker 4: of sanity in Harris County. Lord knows we need it.
- 1:53:06Speaker 4: And then make sure on the state level in November,
- 1:53:09Speaker 4: we get out and vote for Ken Paxton, the most
- 1:53:11Speaker 4: successful attorney general in state history, instead of hiring a
- 1:53:16Speaker 4: guy for U.S.
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: Senate.
- 1:53:19Speaker 4: that is a race hustler that wants to side with
- 1:53:22Speaker 4: convicted murderers shows you how much Democrats truly care about people, right?
- 1:53:28Speaker 4: They don't so much care for that guy, that kid
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: who got stabbed in the heart who died. They don't
- 1:53:32Speaker 4: care about him or his family. They only care about
- 1:53:33Speaker 4: the black kid who instituted it, did it. All right, gang,
- 1:53:39Speaker 4: have a safe weekend. Be safe. We'll see you on Monday.
- 1:53:41Speaker 4: God bless.
