Join the wild ride as Jack London State Historic Park hosts a moonlit hike to the summit on July 29th, where you’ll witness the mystical “Buck Moon” rise — named for deer’s growing antlers in summer, echoing the spirit of Buck from “The Call of the Wild.” This 8-mile, strenuous trek begins at dusk, culminating in a moonlit summit experience before a nighttime descent.
