A raccoon in Nash County, North Carolina, tested positive for rabies after acting strangely near East Washington Street and Eastern Avenue. Weighing 30-40 pounds and gray and black, this adult raccoon was captured by animal services. If you were in that area between June 25 and July 10 and had direct contact, call Nash County Health Department’s Communicable Disease Control.
