- 0:00Speaker 1: The Traders continues tonight on Channel ten, joining us this
- 0:04Speaker 1: morning is indeed one of the Traders Bentley, good morning.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Good morning, good morning. Thank you accepting me?
- 0:12Speaker 1: Oh no, not a problem. Listen. I know if I
- 0:16Speaker 1: was to go into that mansion, I would be so
- 0:20Speaker 1: hoping for a tap on the shoulder. Do you find
- 0:22Speaker 1: most people hope to be chosen on that first day
- 0:25Speaker 1: as a Trader?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Yeah, well we're going onto the show to play Traders,
- 0:29Speaker 2: so you'd be bad not to, right.
- 0:31Speaker 1: That's what I think too, exactly.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I think that's where the games play, like we're faithful
- 0:35Speaker 2: in real life, Like why can't we just be.
- 0:38Speaker 1: This is life and you get to wear the cloak.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Yes, this is a chance to wear the cloak. Work
- 0:43Speaker 2: at night people? How fun? So much?
- 0:47Speaker 1: Everyone wants a chance for their shadier side to come out.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I think so.
- 0:52Speaker 1: You have had another outlet, of course, because you come
- 0:55Speaker 1: from Survivor and that's famous for its strategy. Do you
- 0:58Speaker 1: think the Survivor's spirits helped set you up for the Traders?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Oh? Look, I think they as similar as they are
- 1:05Speaker 2: in their game style like deceit, manipulation Live. I didn't
- 1:09Speaker 2: lie in survivor and I've got no choice but to
- 1:12Speaker 2: lie as a trader. Yes, but yeah, they are similar.
- 1:15Speaker 2: But life experience, when you're dealing with some people, you
- 1:18Speaker 2: learn how to manage them, read them, and work in
- 1:21Speaker 2: with them, so all valuables. Yeah, it's an of it all.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Some of the other competitors have said that you have
- 1:28Speaker 2: quite the poker face.
- 1:29Speaker 1: You were quite good. You obviously able to play the
- 1:34Speaker 1: game very nicely. Yeah.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I think that comes from being an athlete. So we
- 1:39Speaker 2: have to have this front, I guess, and when people
- 1:42Speaker 2: are putting you under the part or you're under pressure
- 1:45Speaker 2: to be able to process that as quickly as possible,
- 1:48Speaker 2: hear what they're saying and watch what they're doing, all
- 1:51Speaker 2: in the same breath, and then deliver something that's It's
- 1:56Speaker 2: definitely a skill that I've learned over time.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Well, Henry was onto you pretty early. What was going
- 2:01Speaker 1: through your mind when he started naming you and the
- 2:02Speaker 1: twins at the round table?
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah? I caught onto that, so I asked him an
- 2:07Speaker 2: aj And because I knew that we were all we
- 2:09Speaker 2: had heat just purely of being a Survivor player, I
- 2:12Speaker 2: knew that they weren't going to go and run their
- 2:14Speaker 2: mouth anywhere if I did ask him anything. So, and
- 2:17Speaker 2: I wanted to see if they would lie to me,
- 2:20Speaker 2: because if they told me the truth, they believed that
- 2:22Speaker 2: I would be faithful. But the fact that they both
- 2:25Speaker 2: lied and I caught him out, but they knew that
- 2:27Speaker 2: I did, but none of us said anything. I was
- 2:29Speaker 2: expecting Henry to do that because he operates under chaos,
- 2:33Speaker 2: and when people are rattled, they sort of fall to
- 2:36Speaker 2: what they know.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Is there any trust, any trust in there?
- 2:39Speaker 2: Really, no, mate, No, there's no trust at all, No, mate.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I operate under so much paranoid in this game because
- 2:46Speaker 2: you don't know what conversations the faithals are having without you,
- 2:51Speaker 2: or anyone's having without you, even your traders, and you
- 2:53Speaker 2: feel a bit of a shift, and it could be
- 2:55Speaker 2: the smallest thing we're looking for evidence that just doesn't exist.
- 2:58Speaker 2: It's just a wild, unhinged game.
- 3:01Speaker 1: God. So it's just totally paranoid all the time.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, yeah, I'm paranoid now thinking about it.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I would think one of the most paranoid sort of
- 3:12Speaker 1: times would be when you are having those chats late
- 3:15Speaker 1: at night with the other two traders, because you know,
- 3:18Speaker 1: I guess you want to really put all your trust
- 3:21Speaker 1: in them, and yet they might be a couple of
- 3:23Speaker 1: the ones you've got to least trust.
- 3:25Speaker 2: It's funny that you say that that's the only time
- 3:27Speaker 2: that we felt safe, because the only three players in
- 3:31Speaker 2: the whole game that were able to be each other's
- 3:33Speaker 2: soundboards because we knew who we were in the game.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Whereas Faithful, they just didn't have that. Even if they
- 3:39Speaker 2: thought somebody was one hundredercent faithful, there's always a doubt
- 3:43Speaker 2: which makes them hesitate. I had no choice but to
- 3:46Speaker 2: trust my trades, and I did, even though I look paranoid.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Tonight, we won't ask you to give any more away.
- 3:53Speaker 1: We shall tune in tonight and tomorrow night on Channel ten.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Thanks for joining us, Kirby No
- 3:58Speaker 2: Thanks so much for having me
