- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists.
- 0:06Speaker 1: This week, the pie is in the oven, the turkey
- 0:09Speaker 1: is on the table, and your TV is tuned in
- 0:12Speaker 1: to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
- 0:15Speaker 2: The parade originally began in nineteen twenty four and since
- 0:19Speaker 2: then it has become a staple in American life. But
- 0:23Speaker 2: who are the people who put this parade together? We
- 0:26Speaker 2: talk to everyone involved in the parade on every level
- 0:30Speaker 2: to see what exactly goes into making something like this.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Okay, it's time to watch those big floats go bye bye.
- 0:38Speaker 4: Let's listen in.
- 0:42Speaker 1: It's really fun that we all get to be together
- 0:44Speaker 1: here because I feel like I don't get to talk
- 0:46Speaker 1: to the other people as I mean, we're literally miles
- 0:50Speaker 1: away from each other. I like to call it, oh.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's pretty crazy when like Christmas, basically
- 1:01Speaker 5: it's it's made Thanksgiving Christmas.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I would say that it's the one thing that we
- 1:09Speaker 1: have to hold on to as a Thanksgiving tradition, So
- 1:11Speaker 1: please don't call Christmas. And I'll say this is at
- 1:13Speaker 1: the end of it, but it is Thanksgiving. And I
- 1:16Speaker 1: don't like it when people say that it's Christmas.
- 1:18Speaker 6: Thanksgiving should get a thing. Yeah, and it's like giving
- 1:20Speaker 6: needs its thing.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Of course Santa closes it every year, but that's like
- 1:25Speaker 3: when he comes in is at the end, because this
- 1:28Speaker 3: is the transfer from Thanksgiving to Christmas and it is
- 1:31Speaker 3: not at all just Christmas.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Totally sorry, Sorry, we don't.
- 1:36Speaker 7: Mean to take the magic away from how you feel.
- 1:39Speaker 5: It's fine, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine. I'm very sorry.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I mean, I do think that I went in hard
- 1:44Speaker 1: on you. I would say that if you are implying
- 1:47Speaker 1: that it is the Thanksgiving of Christmas or it is
- 1:50Speaker 1: the excuse me, I'm getting jumbled up. If it is
- 1:53Speaker 1: the Christmas of Thanksgiving, I understand what you're saying, and
- 1:56Speaker 1: I could agree with you on that.
- 1:58Speaker 5: I think I was mostly comparing the to which is
- 2:00Speaker 5: not what you're saying right there. So I'm sorry, I'm
- 2:03Speaker 5: really sorry.
- 2:03Speaker 2: It seems like he admitted that he's wrong, so we
- 2:06Speaker 2: can move forward.
- 2:10Speaker 1: So who are we?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah, let's talk about it and see what departments were
- 2:13Speaker 3: in Absolutely.
- 2:15Speaker 8: Okay, I'll kick this off for you guys. You know,
- 2:19Speaker 8: because I'm a little bit shy. I'm not really you
- 2:21Speaker 8: barely see me out there during the parade. You know,
- 2:24Speaker 8: my name is Stacey D. But everyone calls me STIs
- 2:28Speaker 8: out there.
- 2:31Speaker 7: That's right. I have been working this parade for.
- 2:36Speaker 8: Bus since I was sixteen, I think, and now I'm
- 2:40Speaker 8: forty eight.
- 2:40Speaker 7: So that's you.
- 2:42Speaker 8: Guys can do the math on that math wasn't my finger,
- 2:44Speaker 8: else I would have gone to college and I would
- 2:45Speaker 8: have just been a holder of the balloons.
- 2:47Speaker 7: That's right. I hold the ropes. I've held the ropes
- 2:51Speaker 7: for years.
- 2:52Speaker 8: Old Stiz is the longest running rope older.
- 2:57Speaker 5: We've all heard about. You is on the ropes.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Weren't you the person who held Snoopy for like four
- 3:04Speaker 3: consecutive years?
- 3:05Speaker 8: Absolutely, I was on Snoopy. Snoopy's the top dog.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I was gonna say, Okay, she's funny, this one's funny. Yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 1: this one's really funny. I want to say too. Four
- 3:18Speaker 1: years on Snoopy is basically a lifetime. Nobody else has
- 3:20Speaker 1: done four years on Snoopy. It is the rowdiest float.
- 3:23Speaker 1: It catches the wind at such a specific way. It
- 3:26Speaker 1: throws people so hard.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Have you been thrown?
- 3:29Speaker 8: That's right, I have been thrown. I've been thrown. You know,
- 3:32Speaker 8: when you're sixteen, you're a tiny woman. That was before
- 3:35Speaker 8: I started taking the roids, you know what I mean.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Yes, he's on the Royd Heroids.
- 3:41Speaker 3: I could tell that year that you started the steroids,
- 3:43Speaker 3: when you had SpongeBob and you said, I'll do the front.
- 3:46Speaker 3: And usually that's twenty people who do the front of SpongeBob,
- 3:49Speaker 3: but just me did it that one.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Year, and you held it so so hard that I
- 3:54Speaker 1: remember the reviews came in and it said SpongeBob looked
- 3:57Speaker 1: like he furrowed his brows. He looked mad. And it's
- 4:01Speaker 1: because you were holding the ropes so tight. You made him.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Furrow his brow.
- 4:06Speaker 7: You know, when you're strong, you're strong, and you are strong.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's strong and look, steroids are basically legal as long
- 4:13Speaker 1: as you're not doing a professional sport, right, You're allowed
- 4:15Speaker 1: to do steroids. It's so you're allowed to do this.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Some of the marching band boys do you.
- 4:20Speaker 1: That's the problem. They're in high school.
- 4:24Speaker 7: Who's to say you wouldn't.
- 4:26Speaker 8: No, I wouldn't. I'm not here to tattle on nobody else.
- 4:29Speaker 8: Don't tattle on nobody disroids.
- 4:34Speaker 1: My name is Trevor Sullivan. I am the director of
- 4:37Speaker 1: the Floats. I am in charge of all the floats
- 4:41Speaker 1: you see, including the very last one that cues you
- 4:44Speaker 1: into Santa Claus coming to town. I'm in charge of
- 4:47Speaker 1: wrangling and finding mister Santa Claus every year. It's a
- 4:51Speaker 1: little difficult for me, but we figure it out. A
- 4:53Speaker 1: little Christmas Magic sprinkles into Thanksgiving and it's helpful.
- 4:57Speaker 5: So I kind of like what I said. But you
- 5:00Speaker 5: guys really yelled at me before.
- 5:02Speaker 1: But sure, because what you were saying was that it
- 5:05Speaker 1: was like Christmas.
- 5:06Speaker 5: You just said, Christmas magic is pretty you know what.
- 5:08Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I was referring specifically to the end when Christmas Magic
- 5:11Speaker 1: does arrive, so it was different.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, I'm sorry, But.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I know you all intimately because, as you know, I
- 5:18Speaker 1: do a final check on everyone who enters the floats
- 5:22Speaker 1: or who everyone who enters the parade.
- 5:25Speaker 5: You're a big deal. You know. You're kind of a
- 5:27Speaker 5: top thup.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Please, I mean, I look, I've been doing this job
- 5:29Speaker 1: for fifteen years. I love this job with all my heart.
- 5:32Speaker 1: You guys think that Thanksgiving Day Parade happens around Thanksgiving.
- 5:36Speaker 1: For me, this is every single day of my life. Okay,
- 5:40Speaker 1: It's a year round job for me, and I love it.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I love every single second of it.
- 5:45Speaker 7: I feel that it's year round for me as well,
- 5:46Speaker 7: So I get it.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean I love to come visit you.
- 5:51Speaker 7: I come to you.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Yeah. The way that you get them to put the
- 5:57Speaker 1: rowing machines on their side you can pull.
- 6:01Speaker 8: Down, yeah, yeah, practice hanging on to a rope.
- 6:05Speaker 7: It's amazing.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It's incredible.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Yeah, because like, how do you practice that stuff?
- 6:09Speaker 5: You know what?
- 6:10Speaker 4: I mean? Nothing that big?
- 6:11Speaker 7: Yeah, put the rower on its side and you're just amazing.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Well how do you practice what you do?
- 6:15Speaker 3: Hi, guys, I'm soup senate and I'm a rocket, and
- 6:24Speaker 3: it's so funny that they pick me out of all
- 6:26Speaker 3: the girls because I am really core.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I'm not surprised you are royalty.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Oh I've been a rocket for two full years and
- 6:35Speaker 3: the longest one on the team at the moment, and
- 6:38Speaker 3: really happy.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I turn around. Wow, so you're saying every other rocket
- 6:43Speaker 5: has only done it for a year at most, I'm sorry.
- 6:45Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 6:46Speaker 6: Pride and handle the heat or is it because they
- 6:49Speaker 6: want to quit.
- 6:50Speaker 4: A mixture of the two.
- 6:52Speaker 7: Wow.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Yeah, But I'm really excited to be here, and I'm
- 6:55Speaker 3: really excited to just like speak on behalf of my girls,
- 6:58Speaker 3: and speak on behalf of the team, and speak on
- 7:00Speaker 3: behalf of the craft, and speak on behalf of the legs.
- 7:03Speaker 7: You're looking really good soup.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Thank you, great set.
- 7:06Speaker 7: Okay, yes, of course.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Okay, I don't want to sound inappropriate. You are attractive.
- 7:11Speaker 8: Yeah, I think we all agree. Are you which one
- 7:15Speaker 8: of us are you flirting with?
- 7:17Speaker 3: It's so funny because sometimes I really try not to
- 7:20Speaker 3: be friendly at all, but I just look like this
- 7:22Speaker 3: and people think I'm being so friendly.
- 7:24Speaker 6: I really think she's coming on to me right now.
- 7:26Speaker 5: It's crazy or me or me, and I think it's
- 7:30Speaker 5: just rude to think that.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Bet. I'm married to Thanksgiving, so that's hilarious.
- 7:36Speaker 7: Oh my god, you're so cute. I can't stop.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Hey, everybody, my name is gian Carlo, and I am
- 7:47Speaker 5: a filler. I jump in wherever the wherever the Thanksgiving
- 7:51Speaker 5: Parade needs me, you know, feeling for whoever doesn't show
- 7:54Speaker 5: up on the day. And it's kind of a thankless,
- 7:57Speaker 5: crazy job. But I love it because read every moment
- 8:01Speaker 5: is new when you're on the parade.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Now, you are an absolute legend, especially last year when
- 8:05Speaker 3: you stepped in for Dear Evan Hanson.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Yes, it was the entire cast. One of the wildest
- 8:13Speaker 5: texts because I just get texts to go somewhere. It's
- 8:16Speaker 5: very kind of coded, and all of a sudden, I'm
- 8:18Speaker 5: in makeup, I'm in a cast, and I'm doing the
- 8:20Speaker 5: entire song of Dear Evan Hanson by myself.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 3: And then Ben Platt tweeted at you and said, that
- 8:26Speaker 3: was incredible.
- 8:27Speaker 5: It's so nice.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Is that feel, Patty?
- 8:31Speaker 5: I have no idea who hit who that is? Who's
- 8:33Speaker 5: Ben Platt? Who is that guy?
- 8:35Speaker 7: Dear Evan Hanson?
- 8:37Speaker 5: Oh wow, that's amazing. That's fantastic. No, I don't. I
- 8:41Speaker 5: don't keep up with that stuff.
- 8:43Speaker 1: You know, so it really helps us out to you
- 8:44Speaker 1: on Carlos, thank you.
- 8:47Speaker 7: I know you look pretty familiar. That one year the
- 8:50Speaker 7: Garfield balloon was down, wasn't it?
- 8:52Speaker 5: Just Yeah? So that crazy, crazy year for me. I
- 8:58Speaker 5: just got to text Goffield and I went, huh, that
- 9:01Speaker 5: was me?
- 9:02Speaker 1: That was gonna go yeah, be me. Yeah.
- 9:03Speaker 5: I get a lot of text from this guy, crazy stuff.
- 9:06Speaker 5: So basically they filled the clothing I was already wearing
- 9:10Speaker 5: with balloons and helium painted me orange and just stuck
- 9:14Speaker 5: me to a balloon now I will say being tugged
- 9:17Speaker 5: by you life once in a lifetime experience you could feel,
- 9:21Speaker 5: you can feel the way you know.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Tell us what it was like to have Giancarlo on
- 9:24Speaker 1: the line.
- 9:26Speaker 7: The lightest thing I've ever held. Do you believe it?
- 9:29Speaker 1: I do believe it.
- 9:30Speaker 7: I could have done that with my eyes closed.
- 9:31Speaker 6: With the pinky.
- 9:32Speaker 8: I think I even I think I even showed off
- 9:33Speaker 8: that year. I tied the string just to my pinky,
- 9:35Speaker 8: walked around.
- 9:36Speaker 5: And it was terrifying. I was looking down a one
- 9:38Speaker 5: hundred and fifty feet in the air, just going, what
- 9:41Speaker 5: is she doing?
- 9:42Speaker 7: Can you see the tip of my pinky from I saw.
- 9:44Speaker 5: The pinky going oh bruh and junk colling And again.
- 9:48Speaker 7: He trusted me though, and we made it through.
- 9:50Speaker 5: We made it through. It was a bonding experience.
- 9:52Speaker 4: I remember exactly.
- 9:53Speaker 7: You're like, you remember me.
- 9:55Speaker 4: You liked it?
- 9:58Speaker 1: You know I coordinated that.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Wow?
- 10:01Speaker 6: Wow Wow Okay.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I'm Vic Tracy and I am the director of balloons.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I am the creative force behind most of the balloons
- 10:14Speaker 2: you do see in the play.
- 10:17Speaker 6: Play well it is for me.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I like to refer to it as a play because
- 10:20Speaker 2: it is a lot of live actors in one place,
- 10:22Speaker 2: going from one place to the next.
- 10:25Speaker 5: And so sorry, that's a tough job for you to
- 10:29Speaker 5: get all the balloons. Do you do you decide which
- 10:31Speaker 5: balloons go and which balloons go?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yes, yes, So my my year begins in September when
- 10:40Speaker 2: everyone comes to me with their ideas for pitches for balloons.
- 10:45Speaker 2: And they come in and they say, how about basketball
- 10:48Speaker 2: And I say, hmm, try again. And people will come
- 10:52Speaker 2: in and they say how about SpongeBob And I say,
- 10:55Speaker 2: been done.
- 10:56Speaker 6: And so you know, you.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Have to filter through all the balloons that we have
- 11:00Speaker 2: not done yet, bringing back some balloons from previous years
- 11:03Speaker 2: that fans really like, and we really just need to
- 11:06Speaker 2: have a cohesive amount of balloons that are both.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Corporate and classic.
- 11:12Speaker 2: That's what we That's what we talked about here CECI
- 11:14Speaker 2: close capturing corporate Classic.
- 11:17Speaker 1: It's really great to see a Vive in person. We
- 11:18Speaker 1: mostly email, so I don't usually get to hear you say.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Things so new.
- 11:28Speaker 5: It's new for all of us. You're usually just texting
- 11:31Speaker 5: behind the email.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say I largely have an email job,
- 11:36Speaker 2: and a lot of my balloon pitches I do connect
- 11:38Speaker 2: over zoom because I don't like to leave the house
- 11:41Speaker 2: because I like it in there because it's cozy and
- 11:43Speaker 2: I have my mug.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Do you guys pitch up ideas like together or like, well.
- 11:46Speaker 1: We're trying to different kind of army versus navy. Right,
- 11:49Speaker 1: she's up in the sky. I guess that's air force
- 11:51Speaker 1: and I'm on the ground.
- 11:53Speaker 6: You're on the ground.
- 11:53Speaker 1: You are, I'm frontline marines, line marines.
- 11:56Speaker 6: You were fighting.
- 11:57Speaker 4: So was the one that did the dental floss balloon
- 11:59Speaker 4: this year?
- 12:01Speaker 6: Well that was a pitch by you.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I did pitch that for a balloon.
- 12:06Speaker 6: And I had to be convinced. I had to be convinced.
- 12:11Speaker 6: I was.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It wasn't working as a float, right. We wanted too
- 12:13Speaker 1: much because we had we we had it as a
- 12:17Speaker 1: float and it just wasn't quite working right.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I heard about the whole the Denture Day denter disaster
- 12:24Speaker 2: when all of the dentures started clapping on their own
- 12:26Speaker 2: because they were supposed to wind up like Christmas toys.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, And boys to men was going to be
- 12:30Speaker 1: singing on this float and what song they were seeing
- 12:34Speaker 1: into the road.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Such a beautiful song, that floss That really shows off the.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Come to the end of the road. It can't let go,
- 12:41Speaker 1: of course, talking about dental care and when you put
- 12:44Speaker 1: the floss in between your teeth, you can't let go
- 12:46Speaker 1: because you got to use the floss.
- 12:47Speaker 6: Sponsored bond none other than who we love so much, Cold.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Gate, absolutely and we love them so Coldgate, the tooth
- 12:54Speaker 5: based company, was sponsoring a floss right just to well,
- 12:58Speaker 5: they also make flaw.
- 12:59Speaker 1: They make flow, They make a lot of things that
- 13:00Speaker 1: are large corporate.
- 13:01Speaker 7: It makes a lot of sense that they also make flu.
- 13:03Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't know. They do make flos Okay,
- 13:07Speaker 5: they make so I'm sorry. Sorry.
- 13:11Speaker 1: We were in the workshop I like to do if
- 13:13Speaker 1: we have a float workshop. We have a right actually
- 13:17Speaker 1: a floating building in the Hudson We do a workshop
- 13:21Speaker 1: center and we like to bring all the floats in.
- 13:25Speaker 1: We like to bring people in. We like to try
- 13:26Speaker 1: them out, we like to audition them. And it just
- 13:29Speaker 1: wasn't working. Boysed to him. In was too quiet, the
- 13:31Speaker 1: chattering was too loud, and I said, I think we
- 13:33Speaker 1: got to take this up. I think this has got
- 13:35Speaker 1: to go to the sky, and we move boised him
- 13:37Speaker 1: into the animal cracker float. We ended up having to
- 13:40Speaker 1: kick off the reunion of bb MAC. Bb MAC ended
- 13:45Speaker 1: up moving over to the Lincoln Logs float that is
- 13:50Speaker 1: making us kick off Ty Pennington from Extreme Home Makeover.
- 13:54Speaker 1: He was pushed and then he was put on the
- 13:57Speaker 1: float for I believe it was the Everybody Loves Reunion,
- 14:00Speaker 1: but they didn't do it because almost everyone and everybody
- 14:02Speaker 1: loves Raymond has passed.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Away, so I had to do a lot of filling. Yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 5: it was.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah, So it was just really cunning to be chess.
- 14:11Speaker 1: It was a game of chess and and that ended
- 14:13Speaker 1: up being the Perparsian Age float, which was weird for us,
- 14:16Speaker 1: but it was good. It worked out.
- 14:19Speaker 4: So was the Well buttrin one was really Yeah.
- 14:22Speaker 5: I got a question, was that a float or a balloon?
- 14:25Speaker 6: Well, it was a float.
- 14:26Speaker 2: It was you know a lot of times our departments
- 14:29Speaker 2: bounce things from one to the other. You know, if
- 14:31Speaker 2: a company runs out of money for a float, sometimes
- 14:34Speaker 2: they'll bounce it to be a balloon, you know, because
- 14:36Speaker 2: sometimes it's less expensive to make a giant balloon of
- 14:39Speaker 2: something than it is to cover something with floral arrangements
- 14:42Speaker 2: and put another they're then tied dollar sign on it
- 14:45Speaker 2: to sing. Everybody wants a little Christmas, an original song
- 14:48Speaker 2: that he wrote.
- 14:50Speaker 1: An awesome song, and we can't wait to do it
- 14:51Speaker 1: again every year for the next thirty years.
- 14:53Speaker 5: It was really interesting.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I would say too, the I don't want to speak
- 14:59Speaker 1: four your department, no, of course, but the Floats, sorry,
- 15:03Speaker 1: the Balloons are a bit of a boys club. There's
- 15:06Speaker 1: a lot of insiders there.
- 15:09Speaker 6: There are some women paving the way in the bottom.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I mean, boys club is in. It's a little difficult that,
- 15:15Speaker 1: you know. It's kind of insider. It's insular, right, SpongeBob
- 15:18Speaker 1: isn't going anywhere. Snoopy isn't going anywhere. We always have
- 15:20Speaker 1: room in the floats for inclusion, for new areas, and
- 15:23Speaker 1: you kind of are are little old guard some of those.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Pikachu has been around for thirty years.
- 15:28Speaker 6: You guys, see, I just I see listen.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I just want to say that someone needs to speak
- 15:35Speaker 2: up for Thanksgiving, someone needs to speak up for tradition
- 15:39Speaker 2: and what we have been doing for so many years,
- 15:42Speaker 2: and a lot of that includes our favorite brands.
- 15:45Speaker 6: We love so much, so much. Why just Snoopy and
- 15:48Speaker 6: and all those people.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Yes, go ahead, But the Floats has like a like
- 15:51Speaker 3: a mentorship program with new directors that they bring in
- 15:54Speaker 3: if you're like passionate about that and like a bunch
- 15:56Speaker 3: of like a showcase, it's like a really great program.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Oh, you guys got to come out for the float
- 16:01Speaker 1: showcase this year. I think a couple of them got signed,
- 16:04Speaker 1: a couple of floats the floats. Yeah, so we have
- 16:06Speaker 1: people try floats and it's like a big auditions.
- 16:09Speaker 7: You signed, like the people who made the floats, you
- 16:12Speaker 7: sign them.
- 16:12Speaker 4: No, you signed the float people, the artists or signed
- 16:15Speaker 4: the floats.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Take the floats from them, We pave them for the
- 16:17Speaker 1: float and then we take it over.
- 16:19Speaker 4: You're just carving the new generation.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:22Speaker 1: They get to they get there, they get their input.
- 16:24Speaker 7: So amazing.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's not as amazing as your kicks soup.
- 16:30Speaker 1: You gotta tell us how you trained to be a roquet.
- 16:33Speaker 8: You go into detail about your muscles and stuff if
- 16:35Speaker 8: you want, and you don't have to.
- 16:38Speaker 5: It.
- 16:39Speaker 4: We're both on steroids and we both let you talk
- 16:41Speaker 4: about it.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Well, I'm one of these duid bitches who kicks her
- 16:47Speaker 3: face all the time.
- 16:53Speaker 7: You okay, what.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Happened just a second ago?
- 16:56Speaker 3: No, I hate it when I kick myself in the face.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Why didn't you do it?
- 17:01Speaker 3: I fucking knew it three times a year and I've
- 17:03Speaker 3: only been there for two years.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Not bad, that's very small.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I've got it six times.
- 17:08Speaker 5: That's once every one hundred days.
- 17:09Speaker 6: Take yourself for it. You hate yourself for it.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I hate it.
- 17:13Speaker 3: It's the most embarrassing thing as a Rocket, especially when
- 17:16Speaker 3: you do it at the Macon's Day Parade Macy's Date Parade.
- 17:18Speaker 3: For the Rockets, it's like us performing for our parents,
- 17:21Speaker 3: you know what I mean. It feels like really because
- 17:23Speaker 3: most of the time we're performing just for like a.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Really older and older audience.
- 17:27Speaker 3: But when we come home to the Mason's Day Parade
- 17:29Speaker 3: every year, it feels so fun to just like really
- 17:32Speaker 3: like like really become a family company because as a
- 17:36Speaker 3: theater company, the Rockets are not really a family theater company.
- 17:39Speaker 5: No. I mean, you've been there the longest and you've
- 17:42Speaker 5: only been there for two years.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yes, And I've learned this stuff. I've gone up the
- 17:46Speaker 3: ranks these past two years. It's been a really long journey,
- 17:50Speaker 3: and you really have to like show show yourself and
- 17:53Speaker 3: really prove yourself.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Do people in the rock Cats look up to you
- 17:56Speaker 1: as a veteran or somebody who is a yes.
- 17:59Speaker 4: If anything, I need to get out of there.
- 18:00Speaker 3: It's like, you know, like when you're high school, seniors
- 18:02Speaker 3: keep visiting once they graduate. I feel that as a
- 18:05Speaker 3: second year rocket, it's time for me to go. But
- 18:09Speaker 3: I'm still so obsessed with the parades. I'm really obsessed
- 18:13Speaker 3: with the travel. I love to travel. It's this weird
- 18:16Speaker 3: thing about me. I love to just like see new
- 18:20Speaker 3: places and where do you go?
- 18:22Speaker 4: Yeah, sometimes we do shows on the road. We did
- 18:24Speaker 4: a show in Chicago, and I loved going to.
- 18:26Speaker 5: A new city, oh like two hours away.
- 18:29Speaker 4: It was so cool. They just like have coffee, news.
- 18:31Speaker 6: It was all domestic, domestic place.
- 18:34Speaker 4: So nice.
- 18:35Speaker 3: When we go to upstate New York, it just feels
- 18:38Speaker 3: so nice to just like get out of the city.
- 18:39Speaker 1: What is the craziest place you've ever been? Oh?
- 18:41Speaker 4: Jersey crazy?
- 18:44Speaker 6: And where are you from?
- 18:46Speaker 4: Newark?
- 18:49Speaker 5: Even about one hundred mile radius.
- 18:52Speaker 4: I love traveling. Not all who wonder are lost.
- 18:55Speaker 3: I'm really excited to be here and just I just
- 18:58Speaker 3: think I'll say, yeah, I'll go back to me being
- 19:00Speaker 3: a stupid bitch.
- 19:01Speaker 4: I absolutely hate it.
- 19:03Speaker 3: When I kicked myself in the face and it happened
- 19:05Speaker 3: this last year, and I think that's why they picked
- 19:06Speaker 3: me to be on this panel because it did go
- 19:08Speaker 3: a little bit of a viral trend when it was
- 19:11Speaker 3: we were all in our Christmas outfits and I kicked
- 19:13Speaker 3: myself in the face and I got myself a kincussion.
- 19:16Speaker 3: It happens to girls every couple of years, and it
- 19:18Speaker 3: happened to me. Tappened to me six times.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Well, we dealt with this clip a lot. You know,
- 19:22Speaker 1: you kicked yourself in the face and then you addressed
- 19:24Speaker 1: as a toy soldier. You took your toy gun out
- 19:26Speaker 1: and you pretended to shoot yourself and then you fell
- 19:29Speaker 1: on the ground and ride around. That was a very
- 19:31Speaker 1: interesting clip for us to have to deal with.
- 19:33Speaker 4: No, I it wasn't.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I do remember talking to the social media team because
- 19:37Speaker 2: we were trying to figure out a way to spin this,
- 19:39Speaker 2: Like I.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Remember I was on those Yeah, we were on that slack.
- 19:43Speaker 2: There was a channel about how do we spin this,
- 19:46Speaker 2: and so it was kind of like we were like, well,
- 19:48Speaker 2: you know, kids love irony, maybe we work ourselves into
- 19:51Speaker 2: way of some internet irony.
- 19:53Speaker 5: Here.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I of Mikayla Maroney who did that face, and I
- 19:56Speaker 1: said we could do a Mikayla Maroney with this.
- 19:58Speaker 5: I remember you guys. Yeah, it ended up the Macy's
- 20:00Speaker 5: Day parade, tweeted doofy moment.
- 20:04Speaker 2: But I mean then we tried to encourage hashtags. We
- 20:06Speaker 2: tried to encourage how do you kick yourself in the face?
- 20:09Speaker 2: Slash shoot yourself in the face of the toy gun?
- 20:11Speaker 1: Hashtag? How do you do fee?
- 20:13Speaker 6: How do you do fee?
- 20:14Speaker 3: As I as I said in my apology on the internet,
- 20:17Speaker 3: we're rarely given.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Props as rockets.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and I said, I simply don't know what to
- 20:24Speaker 3: do when something is given to me, and I am
- 20:26Speaker 3: trying to get those dances done, and I don't know,
- 20:30Speaker 3: call it concussion.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Brain, call it a quirky girl.
- 20:33Speaker 3: But I hit the ground so fucking hard from my
- 20:35Speaker 3: boot hitting my face that I went, what do I do?
- 20:38Speaker 4: How do I make this look like it was choreographed?
- 20:40Speaker 3: Let me grab the gun I'm holding, But the gun
- 20:43Speaker 3: was made out of gingerbread, So I don't understand why
- 20:45Speaker 3: people are making this like a gun's rights thing.
- 20:47Speaker 4: I don't get it.
- 20:47Speaker 5: But it was crazy to have a full military garb
- 20:51Speaker 5: for that that Rockheats performance.
- 20:54Speaker 1: They were toy soldiers. Okay, it was.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Very, very, very sexy. It was just so weird. Give
- 21:00Speaker 4: us cottons. It was so weird.
- 21:01Speaker 5: Can I ask you a question about the Snoopy Float?
- 21:05Speaker 5: Oh me, yeah, I've been okay, yeah, go ahead. Now
- 21:09Speaker 5: I've been wondering something about the Snoopy Flow. I mean, like,
- 21:11Speaker 5: how much do you think in terms of torque and
- 21:15Speaker 5: in terms of weight overall tension you're holding when.
- 21:19Speaker 7: I hold the Snoopy flow? Okay?
- 21:21Speaker 8: Well, which year year one? When I did it with
- 21:23Speaker 8: a team of a normal amount of people?
- 21:26Speaker 7: He were like, I'm talking about year two.
- 21:28Speaker 8: When I knocked out a bunch of them and we
- 21:30Speaker 8: were down to thirty people and me and a year three,
- 21:33Speaker 8: it works.
- 21:34Speaker 5: Right if you knock them out there off the team.
- 21:35Speaker 8: Yeah, Year three I knocked out a ton of them,
- 21:39Speaker 8: was fifteen people in me like wow. Or year four
- 21:42Speaker 8: when it was just me and the person I was
- 21:45Speaker 8: dating at the time. At the time, I said, at
- 21:48Speaker 8: the time, Souper, that was.
- 21:50Speaker 5: A messy, messy breakup for all of us. That sent
- 21:54Speaker 5: shock waves through the entire community.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Chocolates through Snoopy. When she kicked you out, yeah, yeah,
- 22:00Speaker 1: when that's why you had to leave the float, because
- 22:03Speaker 1: she bested you.
- 22:05Speaker 7: It was pretty messy.
- 22:07Speaker 1: It was hard to see. It was hard for us
- 22:09Speaker 1: to watch too, because we were rooting for you on
- 22:11Speaker 1: that float. I mean, nobody handled and tame Snoopy the
- 22:14Speaker 1: way you did. Yeah, And it was like your name,
- 22:17Speaker 1: if you have to Toy. The way you and Toy
- 22:22Speaker 1: would handle Snoop was so beautiful.
- 22:25Speaker 5: It was like watching ice skaters perform at the Olympics.
- 22:29Speaker 5: There was something so captivating about both of these strong
- 22:34Speaker 5: individuals holding down nay maybe six thousand pound tension float,
- 22:41Speaker 5: just dancing with it. You know.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Did you have a saying that in the reassignment in.
- 22:46Speaker 6: Making them did this not happen again?
- 22:49Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, Well I had to look go in and
- 22:53Speaker 2: you know, think about what is best for the balloons
- 22:56Speaker 2: in this situation, what is best for them and what
- 22:58Speaker 2: is best for us, And so we had to make
- 23:00Speaker 2: some reassignments and we had to move some people around it.
- 23:02Speaker 6: We had to shuffle the board, as they say, And
- 23:04Speaker 6: I don't like it. That's my least favorite part of
- 23:06Speaker 6: my job is reassigning.
- 23:08Speaker 5: But do it all right.
- 23:12Speaker 7: I don't really like that.
- 23:13Speaker 8: We really went down to talking so much about Toy
- 23:17Speaker 8: all listen words are.
- 23:18Speaker 3: We're a dramatic event, Okay, Like it always comes back
- 23:22Speaker 3: to the drama.
- 23:23Speaker 4: With Macy's Day, I will say it was a very republic.
- 23:28Speaker 3: And people are hooking up under like there's so when
- 23:30Speaker 3: the balloon team assignments come out, so many people start
- 23:34Speaker 3: hooking up and I think it's I think it's just it.
- 23:38Speaker 2: No, we all posted on the door of Macy's who
- 23:42Speaker 2: is on what balloon?
- 23:43Speaker 6: Everyone flocks to it.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Oh, we have our share of flotmances. I'll tell you that.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Like it's literally the floamances are.
- 23:49Speaker 5: It feels so incestuous.
- 23:52Speaker 3: And it always feels like there's a huge breakup right
- 23:54Speaker 3: before we go, right before you say ready, set.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Go right, it feels like there's a huge, massive breakup.
- 24:02Speaker 7: Yes, and one year it did.
- 24:03Speaker 5: It was me.
- 24:04Speaker 8: It did happen to fall on me. We were the
- 24:06Speaker 8: big breakup and it was a mess. And I do
- 24:09Speaker 8: think that you guys created a Twitter campaign around that
- 24:13Speaker 8: mess as well.
- 24:14Speaker 1: We sweat, we spun that we have to spin with.
- 24:16Speaker 1: We have hashtag spin this and the Slack channel was
- 24:19Speaker 1: really it was a blaze and that was.
- 24:21Speaker 2: What we accidentally tweeted was hashtag spin this with a
- 24:25Speaker 2: picture of you guys breaking up and people noticed people.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Sometimes I feel like, you guys don't have to spend anything.
- 24:32Speaker 3: You're just so once a year televised episode. But it's
- 24:35Speaker 3: so funny how you treat it like you have to
- 24:37Speaker 3: get ahead of it.
- 24:38Speaker 1: You know, for me, this is why I forget it
- 24:40Speaker 1: because by and.
- 24:41Speaker 2: You know, you would think, yeah, people would forget about
- 24:43Speaker 2: it by next year, but it's like no, everyone just
- 24:45Speaker 2: remembers all the memes and hilarious chifts they retweeted one
- 24:48Speaker 2: year ago today exactly.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Well, and think about this, think about this what they're seeing.
- 24:53Speaker 1: They're watching this parade, they turn it off and they
- 24:56Speaker 1: go sit down with twenty to thirty other people and
- 24:58Speaker 1: they all talk about something. Do not want to be
- 25:00Speaker 1: the thing that is brought up in the silence when
- 25:03Speaker 1: somebody brings up politics, somebody will say, can you believe
- 25:06Speaker 1: that thing happened? Or the mazest things? Giving a parade
- 25:08Speaker 1: that is a viral moment. It might not be on
- 25:10Speaker 1: the Internet, but it's viral on dinner tables. That's families,
- 25:15Speaker 1: viral between uncles, which is the worst type of viral.
- 25:18Speaker 5: So you have to uncle viral. You'd never want to be.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Because it's that book. Viral is the worst.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Did you hear that this happened? And that's enough for
- 25:28Speaker 2: them to take a respect and they.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Will just bounce it back of this if it goes
- 25:31Speaker 5: viral on WhatsApp, you know it's uncle viral.
- 25:34Speaker 3: You know that's for sure, for sure, And it's like,
- 25:37Speaker 3: you know what, Thank god they don't have meals after
- 25:39Speaker 3: the Oscars, you know what I mean at eleven pm.
- 25:43Speaker 1: They are lucky. The Oscars are lucky that they do
- 25:46Speaker 1: their show before dinner time. I'm so jealous of that.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Yeah, because you're so right.
- 25:50Speaker 3: It's a pr nightmare to have a meal right after
- 25:53Speaker 3: your show every year.
- 25:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 25:56Speaker 7: You know you asked me a painful question. I feel
- 25:58Speaker 7: like I get to ask you a question back.
- 26:00Speaker 5: That's fine, I allow it, and I'm sorry.
- 26:02Speaker 7: Could you do could you do a little piece of
- 26:05Speaker 7: Dear Evan.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Hansense, we have to see you.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Please that I broke my hand.
- 26:23Speaker 9: I have a cast and it's signed by a dead kid.
- 26:29Speaker 9: I want to be the man you think I am.
- 26:37Speaker 5: I know the pain.
- 26:41Speaker 9: You feel inside you is going away.
- 26:46Speaker 5: But I've lied to my family. I'm your mom, man,
- 26:51Speaker 5: you lied to me. I'm your dad, and you lie
- 26:56Speaker 5: to me. I'm your best friend and you've lied to me.
- 27:01Speaker 5: I was guessing a lot.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I'm want to thank you for singing so much of
- 27:04Speaker 1: that song.
- 27:06Speaker 5: No, it was cutting me off.
- 27:07Speaker 4: It's really crazy.
- 27:08Speaker 7: It was brilliant.
- 27:09Speaker 6: We didn't want it.
- 27:09Speaker 7: To end, you swearing for you to stop whenever.
- 27:11Speaker 5: You folks, I've never seen that musical. I don't I
- 27:14Speaker 5: don't watch a lot of musicals. I just kind of
- 27:15Speaker 5: went there hopefully. I wasn't thank you for We.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Didn't have time to give you. We didn't have time
- 27:21Speaker 1: to give you a headphone, we didn't have time to
- 27:23Speaker 1: let you listen to the track. We had to have
- 27:24Speaker 1: you go and we knew you deliver.
- 27:26Speaker 4: It's absolutely crazy.
- 27:27Speaker 3: This was like that was even better than the year
- 27:29Speaker 3: that you were one of the Jonas brothers.
- 27:31Speaker 5: That was a tough year, but a fun year. Let
- 27:33Speaker 5: me tell you what I was when I was Kevin Jonas.
- 27:36Speaker 2: And that is kind of an industry secret because up
- 27:38Speaker 2: until now that has never been publicly revealed, and nobody noticed.
- 27:42Speaker 5: Put little curly hair and I played guitar in the background,
- 27:45Speaker 5: and boy was it fun.
- 27:47Speaker 1: It was incredible.
- 27:48Speaker 4: It was everyone noticed. Dear Evan Hanson. Everybody knows that
- 27:51Speaker 4: the music well, mostly because.
- 27:52Speaker 5: I wasn't singing anything from the actual music. I was
- 27:55Speaker 5: guessing at what the plot was.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I do not understand why you do not pursue a
- 27:59Speaker 1: career in show bun.
- 28:02Speaker 5: No, not me, not me.
- 28:03Speaker 7: You know.
- 28:04Speaker 5: I just work at my motorcycle shop. That's what I do.
- 28:08Speaker 3: So do you feel like once a year when you
- 28:09Speaker 3: work for the Mace's Day Parade, do you like categorize
- 28:11Speaker 3: that as like a fun thing or like a nonprofit thing?
- 28:15Speaker 7: Why are you doing this?
- 28:16Speaker 6: Why do you do this?
- 28:17Speaker 7: Is going off? You make a lot of money.
- 28:19Speaker 5: A lot of money doing Like, why do you do this?
- 28:21Speaker 5: I do it for the kids. I do it for
- 28:23Speaker 5: the kids. Every kid watching in America, you know in
- 28:25Speaker 5: the thrill it's so fun. It's very stressful. But every
- 28:29Speaker 5: once in a while, you know, you get to play
- 28:31Speaker 5: Kevin Jonas, or you gotta be one of the members
- 28:33Speaker 5: of Y two K or s Club seven, or you
- 28:38Speaker 5: get to be a turkey, or you get to hold
- 28:41Speaker 5: a flute and a tuba and playing a band. You
- 28:44Speaker 5: gotta be a horse for a cop really fun stuff.
- 28:48Speaker 4: God, that was so hot.
- 28:51Speaker 1: That was hot for you.
- 28:52Speaker 8: That was so all the things we've said when he
- 28:56Speaker 8: was a horse for a cop. Is the first time
- 28:59Speaker 8: we've gotten your It was so hot.
- 29:02Speaker 5: Well, thank you, thank you so much. I thought that
- 29:04Speaker 5: was the most obvious. I was kind of just wearing
- 29:06Speaker 5: a horse's head. Was a large police officer just told
- 29:09Speaker 5: me to hit faster. No shirt, no shirt?
- 29:13Speaker 4: Can we talk about this year?
- 29:15Speaker 1: I was to talk about this year with the amazing
- 29:18Speaker 1: Thanksgiving Day Parade.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Because I would love to if I can, if if
- 29:23Speaker 2: my fellow director will allow me to spill the beans
- 29:25Speaker 2: on what we discussed on.
- 29:26Speaker 6: Slack today, thank you.
- 29:30Speaker 2: I am proud to announce that the theme of this
- 29:33Speaker 2: year's Thanksgiving Day Parade is Thanksgiving.
- 29:37Speaker 6: A return to Thanksgiving.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Finally, we're gonna do like a classic year.
- 29:42Speaker 1: We're doing a classic.
- 29:44Speaker 2: N We are taking it all the way back to
- 29:46Speaker 2: the basics. We are taking it all the way back
- 29:48Speaker 2: to our roots, which is Thanksgiving. That's why we started this,
- 29:51Speaker 2: and that's why we are continuing Thanksgiving.
- 29:55Speaker 1: We are showing you a Thanksgiving you've never seen before,
- 29:59Speaker 1: a Thanksgiving full of tradition, a Thanksgiving full of hope,
- 30:02Speaker 1: Thanksgiving of comfort, something you've never seen before. You're gonna
- 30:05Speaker 1: I gotta ask.
- 30:06Speaker 5: I gotta ask what, mom, how are you gonna How
- 30:09Speaker 5: are you going to show that? How are you going
- 30:10Speaker 5: to show that?
- 30:12Speaker 2: Like, well, I can give you a hint on I
- 30:14Speaker 2: can let the bean spill on one of our balloons.
- 30:17Speaker 6: That's okay.
- 30:18Speaker 2: And that is because a return to tradition of Thanksgiving
- 30:23Speaker 2: means learning something new and embracing the new. And that's
- 30:28Speaker 2: a tradition is is learning new things as well. So
- 30:32Speaker 2: that is why we have a balloon that is Archer Cartoon, Cartoon.
- 30:40Speaker 5: Cartoon, the canceled show four five years ago.
- 30:47Speaker 6: Yes, yes, and he.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Is sassy and he's interesting.
- 30:51Speaker 2: He's interesting and I just watched him for the first
- 30:54Speaker 2: time a couple of months ago with my mom and
- 30:57Speaker 2: we we.
- 30:57Speaker 6: Accidentally landed on FX.
- 30:59Speaker 2: And is this because we normally just watch you know, Nickelodeon,
- 31:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and so and.
- 31:08Speaker 10: So to find like a recy sassy adult cartoon, really
- 31:14Speaker 10: like I could take this in like a far new direction,
- 31:17Speaker 10: a direction of new experiences and growth.
- 31:19Speaker 1: We've been talking a lot about this. We kind of
- 31:21Speaker 1: consider him the anti wimpy Kid because we have a
- 31:23Speaker 1: wimpy kid float diary of a kid, which I think
- 31:27Speaker 1: you did.
- 31:28Speaker 7: I worked on every one of these, I will say, the.
- 31:31Speaker 5: Kid never looked more wimpy than when SI was holding
- 31:34Speaker 5: that lower that year.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Hi, I will say, I will say the wimpy kid holders.
- 31:41Speaker 4: What do we call you guys?
- 31:42Speaker 7: The the holders, the.
- 31:44Speaker 4: Holders, the wind kids holders. You guys are mean.
- 31:47Speaker 7: Well, I'm not in that team every year, you know exactly.
- 31:49Speaker 7: That's pretty nice.
- 31:50Speaker 6: Well, we did instruct.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Them to be a little more rude and a little
- 31:54Speaker 2: more rough with it because they knew they were holding
- 31:56Speaker 2: a kid with the capacity to be bullied bullied really hard,
- 32:00Speaker 2: so they had to act as bodyguards for the kids.
- 32:03Speaker 4: They're like allies, walk.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I wanted to announce one of our floats, oh, because
- 32:08Speaker 1: you got to announce one of your booms please, So
- 32:10Speaker 1: I think I should announce on my floats. The theme
- 32:13Speaker 1: this year is Thanksgiving.
- 32:14Speaker 7: This tradition as the classic basics.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Okay, So I am honored to announce a chef boy
- 32:20Speaker 1: or d float in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. It's
- 32:23Speaker 1: a messy, tomato sauce covered kitchen and on it it's
- 32:26Speaker 1: BTS singing Santa Baby Man.
- 32:29Speaker 5: I do not want to fill for them.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Absolute yes, Wow, we're gonna have I gotta be that's
- 32:35Speaker 1: seven of them.
- 32:36Speaker 5: That's seven to nine of them. There's no way all
- 32:38Speaker 5: of them.
- 32:38Speaker 6: But show it up and that float was you worked.
- 32:41Speaker 2: I want to applaud you for working so tirelessly with
- 32:45Speaker 2: our corporate brand integration manager, Laura, who.
- 32:49Speaker 6: Works day in and day out and never sleeps.
- 32:53Speaker 1: I love Laura. Laura is a rock star. She's really
- 32:56Speaker 1: really talented. And we are so happy to be working
- 32:58Speaker 1: with Laura, really truly are. I'm so glad she brought
- 33:02Speaker 1: up the idea that the kitchen would be messy. It
- 33:04Speaker 1: wasn't messy in the beginning. And once we mess it up,
- 33:08Speaker 1: we found another partner. It was Chef Boardy and that
- 33:11Speaker 1: has been so exciting. She Bardy has been so funny
- 33:14Speaker 1: to work with.
- 33:15Speaker 2: But and I don't want to reveal too much, but
- 33:17Speaker 2: who's that trailing behind the Chef boy ar d float.
- 33:20Speaker 2: It's the Dawn scrubber float on its way to clean
- 33:24Speaker 2: up that kitchen mess.
- 33:25Speaker 5: Wow.
- 33:26Speaker 1: And on don scrubber float it's Faith Hill singing Santa.
- 33:30Speaker 8: Baby are doing to Santa Babies this year.
- 33:34Speaker 4: That's crazy because the rockets we have we have a
- 33:36Speaker 4: dance for the Santa.
- 33:37Speaker 5: Babes so again again again earlier when I said it's
- 33:42Speaker 5: kind of like Christmas, so thinks, shit, you're singing too
- 33:46Speaker 5: Santa Babies. That's notoriously a Christmas song.
- 33:49Speaker 6: Well, a Christmas song is not Christmas.
- 33:51Speaker 4: No Christmas, No, they're ushering in Christmas.
- 33:54Speaker 1: People start playing Christmas music early in November. Okay, we
- 33:57Speaker 1: are just we are. That's a current event for us.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Is playing a song that's a Christmas song relevant? It's relevant.
- 34:03Speaker 1: If I was playing, you know, a summer song, that
- 34:07Speaker 1: would be erroneous. You know, if I was playing Happy
- 34:08Speaker 1: by Forriend, it would beneus I was playing so I
- 34:11Speaker 1: was playing Walking on Sunshine by Katrine and the Waves,
- 34:13Speaker 1: that would be erroneous. That wouldn't be helpful bts singing
- 34:17Speaker 1: walking on Sunshine? Where are we?
- 34:19Speaker 4: I'm sorry, it's like too much. It's like where, Like,
- 34:21Speaker 4: what's the brand?
- 34:23Speaker 1: I have a brand ID? And it's very soliday?
- 34:25Speaker 2: What holiday is this? Am I even hungry to eat
- 34:28Speaker 2: with my friend?
- 34:28Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:29Speaker 4: For sure? Can I ask about a rumor? I heard?
- 34:31Speaker 1: Sure?
- 34:32Speaker 3: I heard it because I'm like this, I'm just like
- 34:34Speaker 3: nuts and weird and I like to read the news.
- 34:37Speaker 3: I read some quirky thing that Laura, our brand id girl,
- 34:44Speaker 3: was trying to do a deal with Apple, but it
- 34:45Speaker 3: fell through.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Sure, I cannot comments on that.
- 34:49Speaker 6: We absolutely cannot comment on that.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Okay, so that is a corporate dealing behind closed doors.
- 34:56Speaker 1: That God day, I cannot say an any bitty thing
- 34:58Speaker 1: about that.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I really wish I could be, because there are some
- 35:00Speaker 2: really cool details about it.
- 35:02Speaker 6: I cannot say a single thing.
- 35:04Speaker 1: If I could tell you what almost happened this year
- 35:06Speaker 1: at the Macy's thanks Giving me the parade, I'll tell
- 35:08Speaker 1: you what it would aide you back fifteen years, you
- 35:10Speaker 1: get fifteen years younger. You'd be so excited about this idea.
- 35:13Speaker 1: But I can't because it didn't happen and it actually
- 35:15Speaker 1: doesn't exist.
- 35:16Speaker 5: Can I ask you a question, Stiza, is we want
- 35:19Speaker 5: to hear from you twenty fifteen? Yeah, snoopy float flew
- 35:23Speaker 5: into that building, obsessed with the snoopy I love the Lord,
- 35:27Speaker 5: I love the Lord.
- 35:28Speaker 4: I'm at the accident, the accident.
- 35:31Speaker 5: You at the helm of the snoopy float. It flew
- 35:33Speaker 5: into that building and you sprinted up the rope to
- 35:36Speaker 5: save those kids. What was going through your head there?
- 35:39Speaker 5: I mean, that was so heroic. I look up to
- 35:42Speaker 5: you in so many ways when I'm making my order
- 35:44Speaker 5: cycles just thinking about you.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Was this the year kids were on top of the floor.
- 35:48Speaker 7: Yeah, this was the year.
- 35:51Speaker 8: That we had children ride upon the snoopy float while
- 35:54Speaker 8: we held it together.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Viv held a contest for this.
- 35:57Speaker 6: Yes, yes, we were.
- 35:59Speaker 5: We were living strapped down on you know, stirrups.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Yes, a moment for us.
- 36:04Speaker 8: Yeah, well, I can't believe you brought this up once again.
- 36:07Speaker 8: You know that that's the year that it was down
- 36:09Speaker 8: to just two of us holding the balloon. It was
- 36:12Speaker 8: me and Toy And the reason that.
- 36:15Speaker 6: The balloon flew into the building.
- 36:18Speaker 8: Was because we were playing a game of chicken down there.
- 36:20Speaker 8: We both knew we were breaking up. We both knew
- 36:22Speaker 8: that there were children on top of the float. And
- 36:24Speaker 8: I was going, I'm gonna let go, so it's your fault.
- 36:26Speaker 8: And then she goes, no, I'm gonna let go, so
- 36:28Speaker 8: it's your fault. He was like, no, I'm gonna let go,
- 36:30Speaker 8: so it's your fault. And guess what, Okay.
- 36:34Speaker 6: Do I let go?
- 36:36Speaker 7: And I couldn't hold it down.
- 36:38Speaker 8: I didn't take enough roids that day, and so I
- 36:42Speaker 8: started floating up in the air with these kids.
- 36:44Speaker 7: So I had to slam.
- 36:46Speaker 8: It into the building to slow it down, or else
- 36:47Speaker 8: we'd all be up in the ether, up in space,
- 36:49Speaker 8: whatever's up there.
- 36:50Speaker 1: You know what I mean, you would be in the ether.
- 36:52Speaker 5: It would be I'll say, I'll say, I'm sorry, I'm
- 36:55Speaker 5: really sorry.
- 36:56Speaker 2: I want to know what you'd do with all that
- 36:58Speaker 2: roid rage, Like, when it's not Thanksgiving Day parade, what
- 37:01Speaker 2: do you use it for? Uh?
- 37:03Speaker 8: Well, IM just in the gym kind of all of
- 37:06Speaker 8: the time.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Also, you said that you didn't take enough roids that day.
- 37:11Speaker 5: Is that how steroids work?
- 37:12Speaker 8: You take the roids that day time that I take
- 37:15Speaker 8: it is like a daily vitamin.
- 37:17Speaker 4: It's like a supplement.
- 37:18Speaker 7: Yep, you're on the same plan.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Yes, it's like an emergency packet. But it says Royts.
- 37:23Speaker 8: Absolutely and you pour it into your water and you
- 37:25Speaker 8: stirred around with a little spoon and then you suck
- 37:27Speaker 8: it down and then.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Want to hear something so insane. I put it with sprite.
- 37:31Speaker 7: Oh my, that's kind of cool. Maybe I should try that.
- 37:34Speaker 7: You should sprite? Yeah, I've okay, cool.
- 37:38Speaker 1: I think I'm sincere with.
- 37:39Speaker 4: Chemistry, right, I'm really I couldn't. I'm celibate.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Okay. Also a quick question about the Rockets. They go
- 37:51Speaker 5: to war zones, right and perform for the troops.
- 37:56Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 37:56Speaker 5: Yeah, So that wasn't one of the craziest places you've
- 37:59Speaker 5: ever gone to?
- 38:00Speaker 3: No, because I've been at the company for a short
- 38:02Speaker 3: amount of time.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Time and it didn't feel it didn't feel crazy to you.
- 38:07Speaker 3: No, No, yeah, no, I've there's a lot of drama
- 38:13Speaker 3: surrounding those visits.
- 38:14Speaker 5: Yeah, a war.
- 38:17Speaker 3: It's just so weird because like when we go to
- 38:19Speaker 3: schools and we go to retirement homes, we do like.
- 38:21Speaker 4: Shows, it's like really easy, breezy, but.
- 38:24Speaker 3: We go to war, it just gets so complicated, and
- 38:30Speaker 3: I mean, we have to disgust for.
- 38:31Speaker 4: COVID when we go.
- 38:35Speaker 3: It's just like it's just so I don't like drama.
- 38:40Speaker 6: Can I ask how many of the rockets are vaccinated?
- 38:43Speaker 4: I think, I think.
- 38:48Speaker 6: I think I've always been curious about this.
- 38:51Speaker 1: No, for sure.
- 38:52Speaker 4: Okay, so there's fifty two of us. I think for.
- 38:56Speaker 7: Every stake.
- 38:58Speaker 5: Up the territories of Puitterrico, there's.
- 39:02Speaker 4: One for every state.
- 39:03Speaker 3: And I think I'm not the directors aren't. I think
- 39:08Speaker 3: I think it's just like, uh like ten percent of us.
- 39:13Speaker 5: Wow.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Wow, yeah, because.
- 39:17Speaker 6: I'm very neutral on vaccines. I just wanted to know no.
- 39:20Speaker 3: And it's been like, it's that's why Macy's will always
- 39:23Speaker 3: book us.
- 39:24Speaker 4: It's outside.
- 39:25Speaker 5: It it is.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Irrelevant for us. Vaccine said, it is irrelevant because it's outside.
- 39:31Speaker 1: It's outside, guys, it's outside.
- 39:32Speaker 6: And more than that, it's Thanksgiving exactly.
- 39:35Speaker 7: You know, I've had the vaccine so many times. You
- 39:37Speaker 7: just won't go through my muscles.
- 39:39Speaker 5: Well, that's all the needle bends.
- 39:41Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, they got a longer needle and then there's
- 39:45Speaker 8: just a serum won't suck through how bad my muscles are.
- 39:48Speaker 1: I will say there is one float that it matters
- 39:50Speaker 1: a lot if someone's vaccinated, and that is the Santa
- 39:52Speaker 1: Claus float. We got to make sure that everyone's vaccinated
- 39:56Speaker 1: every year. I find the Santa Claus it is difficult.
- 39:59Speaker 1: It's that you're and it's a struggle. Santa claus Is
- 40:02Speaker 1: are the hardest to pin down.
- 40:04Speaker 3: It's so weird though, that they're always immunecompromised, all of them.
- 40:08Speaker 1: They are. They are well, they're older, so that's not
- 40:10Speaker 1: a huge surprise.
- 40:11Speaker 4: It's bizarre.
- 40:13Speaker 5: I will say one of my favorite but also toughest
- 40:15Speaker 5: years was being Missus Clause. Something in Missus Clause because
- 40:19Speaker 5: that's Santa that year. He wanted Missus Claus. He really, that's.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Santa that year. I remember he said to me, I
- 40:24Speaker 1: don't care who's in that costume. I'm kissing her. And
- 40:27Speaker 1: I said, well, that's one of my my my workhorse
- 40:31Speaker 1: is gian Carlo and he said, okay, she is he Santa?
- 40:34Speaker 1: Is he missus Santa? And I said sure and he said,
- 40:36Speaker 1: well I'm Santa and it's hard rocking.
- 40:39Speaker 5: Yeah, Kimbly, you still higher than that?
- 40:41Speaker 1: Ye are Santa's. It's it's a huge honor to become
- 40:44Speaker 1: a Macy Sink's Giving Day Santa Claus. Right, I mean
- 40:48Speaker 1: it is. It is the closer, it's the final.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Act, yeah, for sure.
- 40:52Speaker 1: But a lot of them are shifty. They're hard to
- 40:55Speaker 1: pin down. We usually have twenty to thirty Santa's on
- 40:58Speaker 1: call in the morning and then we get one if
- 41:00Speaker 1: we're lucky. They're just so shifty.
- 41:03Speaker 2: They're all on vacation. They're all like, oh, I forgot
- 41:06Speaker 2: I have a meeting. I forgot I am going to
- 41:09Speaker 2: Santa Fe with my fiance, right, And it's like, let's
- 41:14Speaker 2: discuss itase in your calendar.
- 41:17Speaker 1: We work on a day that literally everyone has off,
- 41:20Speaker 1: and so it's difficult sometimes to pin people down there.
- 41:23Speaker 4: You always ask for conflicts, yeah.
- 41:25Speaker 1: And they but then they they usually the Santa Clauses
- 41:28Speaker 1: always say well, yeah, I assume I get Thanksgiving off,
- 41:30Speaker 1: And I would say, you would assume wrong. This is
- 41:32Speaker 1: the only only jobb or you do not And that
- 41:36Speaker 1: is a difficult thing for me to discuss.
- 41:38Speaker 3: And I imagine they want to take some time off
- 41:39Speaker 3: before the busiest time of the year.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Exactly, and they said, well, I'm going to be with
- 41:43Speaker 1: my family, and I would say, no, that is I
- 41:45Speaker 1: know that. But maybe your family can watch you on TV.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Maybe we can put them on their float. Maybe they
- 41:51Speaker 1: can ride alongside Tricia Year would on the Vivance float.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I mean, maybe that could.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Be all that you.
- 42:02Speaker 11: So fast and you know what, go so fast and
- 42:09Speaker 11: it's vibrating, it literally vibes, it's got things to do
- 42:14Speaker 11: through crowd members at a rapid pace.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Well, that's one of the one of the ones we're
- 42:20Speaker 1: proud of the most, really proud of them.
- 42:24Speaker 6: Sent us all.
- 42:27Speaker 1: We love them, We love them so much. We are
- 42:30Speaker 1: very proud of Ivans and you gotta check out their
- 42:32Speaker 1: float this year. It is Cheatah themed and on it
- 42:37Speaker 1: there are there's gonna be an incredible performance by Ali
- 42:41Speaker 1: and a J singing Santim.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, in incredible, It's amazing.
- 42:49Speaker 7: We have a question about the theme. Again, I'm just
- 42:52Speaker 7: a holder.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and we have no business being here, but we
- 42:57Speaker 2: need people on the ground.
- 42:59Speaker 1: Yeah, this is a whole operation.
- 43:01Speaker 7: This is a family, right, So just a lowly holder.
- 43:04Speaker 8: As you know, I started working at sixteen, didn't do
- 43:07Speaker 8: much schooling. But I'm thinking, you know, how less unless
- 43:10Speaker 8: people have been watching the Thanksgiving Day parade because the
- 43:14Speaker 8: around Thanksgiving has been declining now that people are really
- 43:18Speaker 8: digging into the history of Thanksgiving. And yet the theme
- 43:21Speaker 8: that you've chosen for this year is back to the basics,
- 43:24Speaker 8: which is implying that you're going all the way back
- 43:26Speaker 8: to the origins of Thanksgiving.
- 43:28Speaker 7: The thing that people this.
- 43:30Speaker 8: We've talked about that, so so, uh, how.
- 43:35Speaker 7: Is that a good idea?
- 43:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you take this one, Villa.
- 43:39Speaker 5: I will say this is what I was trying to
- 43:41Speaker 5: hint at with my long asked question of how you
- 43:43Speaker 5: guys betraying it this year. It's just like we are
- 43:46Speaker 5: connected over here. But go ahead, go okay.
- 43:48Speaker 6: Here's the thing.
- 43:50Speaker 2: We laid out a lot of options out on the table,
- 43:54Speaker 2: out on the table, in an email chain over what.
- 43:57Speaker 6: To do with this holiday. That's it's a bad stuff.
- 44:02Speaker 6: What do we do? Every single option was.
- 44:04Speaker 7: Bad, absolutely what one did not. You don't have to
- 44:08Speaker 7: say that. You don't have to say what I want
- 44:10Speaker 7: to hear.
- 44:11Speaker 5: No, I'm sorry.
- 44:12Speaker 7: You don't have to say.
- 44:12Speaker 1: We legally can't say you hand I didn't we.
- 44:16Speaker 4: Have like a theme like five years ago that was
- 44:18Speaker 4: just snow. That was a great theme.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Yes, it was Christmas.
- 44:21Speaker 2: It was Christmas, and then Christmas lawyers come for us.
- 44:24Speaker 6: That's the problem, is like we cannot venture into that territory.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and we're gonna need to cut this, but let's
- 44:31Speaker 1: talk about it. Christmas has a strong hold on us.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Christmas might as well be Stizz's muscles around my neck. Christmas.
- 44:39Speaker 5: You wish.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I do wish because Scis, you're very strong and you're
- 44:43Speaker 1: very beautiful.
- 44:44Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 44:45Speaker 1: If you were to grace me with that, I would
- 44:47Speaker 1: be honored by that.
- 44:48Speaker 4: It's crazy how horny the Macy's Day Parade group.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Is I'm not horny. I'm not horny.
- 44:53Speaker 5: I've said those holders.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Though.
- 44:54Speaker 5: There's something about you guys. You guys, it's like a cesspool.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Bring it on. Anyway, what we can say is we
- 45:02Speaker 1: have been delta a certain hand, and I have, as
- 45:06Speaker 1: they say, laid in this bed and I made it
- 45:09Speaker 1: so now I have to lie in it. And this
- 45:12Speaker 1: is what I do. I'm a Thanksgiving guy, and Thanksgiving
- 45:15Speaker 1: can't go away or we go away, you know what
- 45:17Speaker 1: I mean exactly. I think that's something that we think
- 45:20Speaker 1: about and we talk about, and it's interesting for us.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's an interesting conversation when you think about, oh,
- 45:25Speaker 2: should we stop doing this?
- 45:27Speaker 6: And then I think about all the nice.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Things I have, like my apartment and my car, and
- 45:33Speaker 2: I think, you know, maybe I.
- 45:34Speaker 6: Should continue its livelihood.
- 45:37Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 45:37Speaker 6: I mean, call me crazy, no.
- 45:39Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I look, I get an Americano from my very very
- 45:44Speaker 1: beautiful home espresso machine, and I think this nation needs Thanksgiving.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Do you ever feel like the pharmacies are taking over
- 45:54Speaker 3: a little bit?
- 45:55Speaker 5: Oh, we want to love them. Vaccine stuff. This is
- 45:59Speaker 5: vaccine stuff. This is.
- 46:02Speaker 4: I think it's both. Do you do you ever have
- 46:06Speaker 4: a vaccinated rockets, sue me.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Okay, you are I think I think if one more
- 46:15Speaker 3: pharmaceutical signs on for a float, I think I'm out
- 46:18Speaker 3: of there.
- 46:20Speaker 1: You don't want to wrap this up and get away
- 46:22Speaker 1: from this. What I would like to do is I
- 46:24Speaker 1: would like everyone to go around and pitch a float
- 46:27Speaker 1: or a balloon that they would like to see at
- 46:29Speaker 1: the float, and we will take it in consideration.
- 46:31Speaker 5: Yes, yes, yes, Oh gosh, this is exciting. What are
- 46:35Speaker 5: you gonna say?
- 46:35Speaker 8: Okay, Stills, we'll go first.
- 46:39Speaker 3: This is actually amazing because you've never like created them.
- 46:42Speaker 3: You're always and you have the most contact with them.
- 46:44Speaker 3: So I would die to know what's coming out.
- 46:45Speaker 4: Of your brain.
- 46:45Speaker 8: Okay, this might be a bit of a selfish idea,
- 46:49Speaker 8: but I do think we should have an anvil an
- 46:53Speaker 8: and like a real anvil, uh, fill it with the
- 46:57Speaker 8: heaviest air. You could find, just the world's heaviest balloon
- 47:02Speaker 8: and give it to one person to hold, just to me,
- 47:06Speaker 8: just let me hold a big, heavy And I.
- 47:09Speaker 5: Gotta say, I don't want to ruin I don't want
- 47:11Speaker 5: to ruin this at all. But I know you didn't
- 47:13Speaker 5: go to school a lot. If you feel it with
- 47:15Speaker 5: the heaviest air. It's going to be incredibly light to
- 47:17Speaker 5: hold because there's no tension thereand heavy sinks heavy sinks
- 47:22Speaker 5: that we want the lightest and lightest, lightest.
- 47:24Speaker 7: Air, so the lighter it gets.
- 47:28Speaker 5: The heavier it will be.
- 47:30Speaker 2: And uh, I'm going to stop you right there because
- 47:34Speaker 2: I'm in. I'm in a thousand percent. And you know,
- 47:40Speaker 2: this is something we have not fully talked about. But
- 47:44Speaker 2: I mean, stizz is a sex symbol, and I.
- 47:48Speaker 5: Think I talk about it just in the last moment.
- 47:50Speaker 5: Let's talk about it. Let's talk about a sex.
- 47:53Speaker 1: It's something we've had to spend in the past.
- 47:55Speaker 5: You're rumored for those three years when everybody was hashtagging
- 47:59Speaker 5: hot holder like it was a early meme like raptor
- 48:03Speaker 5: thinks whatever. That one was so a.
- 48:05Speaker 6: Long story short. That's my reason it's greenlit.
- 48:08Speaker 2: I want to hear about what everybody else has.
- 48:11Speaker 5: Oh, I'm next. Okay, Well, I don't know. I got
- 48:14Speaker 5: a lot of ideas, but I don't know if they're
- 48:16Speaker 5: good enough.
- 48:16Speaker 1: We would love to hear them. Jim Carlow, we love
- 48:19Speaker 1: your input. We love you, my guy.
- 48:21Speaker 5: Okay, Well, you know, uh, maybe a float about the
- 48:27Speaker 5: you know, beautiful thing about Thanksgiving is it's a changing
- 48:29Speaker 5: of seasons and you're switching from fall to the winter.
- 48:32Speaker 5: So maybe it's like a giant you know, like a
- 48:35Speaker 5: moon and a harvest moon, and everybody's harvesting to pay
- 48:38Speaker 5: like respect to everybody involved.
- 48:42Speaker 1: And is that a floatera balloon?
- 48:48Speaker 7: It's not. It's not a test. You can it's your idea.
- 48:50Speaker 7: It's your idea.
- 48:51Speaker 1: I'm interested. I'm just curious of what the answer is
- 48:53Speaker 1: going to be.
- 48:55Speaker 7: Are you throwing up?
- 48:57Speaker 1: Are you Carlo? It's just me.
- 49:01Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 49:01Speaker 3: You weren't even this nervous when you've gone, I've gone.
- 49:09Speaker 7: He threw up a song.
- 49:10Speaker 4: I think.
- 49:18Speaker 3: I think my balloon would be five G because it's running,
- 49:23Speaker 3: it's running us all, and I think it will show
- 49:26Speaker 3: a really good metaphor to have the parade run by
- 49:29Speaker 3: big five G.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Very creative, soup, very creative.
- 49:34Speaker 5: Creative soup. I forgot your name was soup. Very creative,
- 49:38Speaker 5: very good.
- 49:39Speaker 6: You take all these under considerations.
- 49:41Speaker 5: Well, you guys have to pitch too. I want to
- 49:42Speaker 5: hear some of your We pitch all day, every gay
- 49:46Speaker 5: one of those.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Try to do one that isn't a drug.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Okay, Well, how about you pitch me a balloon, and
- 49:55Speaker 2: I'll pitch you afloat.
- 49:56Speaker 1: That sounds like a great idea. This is a fun exercise.
- 49:59Speaker 1: That's we never do this the retreat this Saturday after Thanksgiving?
- 50:03Speaker 6: We should?
- 50:04Speaker 1: Oh my god, where's the retreat this year?
- 50:07Speaker 6: I think we're doing it in.
- 50:10Speaker 5: Keepsie Now I'll tell you where it is. It's in
- 50:13Speaker 5: Costa Rica because I have to fill in for some
- 50:15Speaker 5: people there. Oh, the retreats in Coasta Rica.
- 50:18Speaker 1: That's fantastic.
- 50:19Speaker 6: That's so nice. I have to repack.
- 50:22Speaker 1: So yeah, I'll I'll pitch you a balloon.
- 50:26Speaker 6: Yes, a balloon, and I will pitch you a float.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Okay, Grace, Okay, all right, who should go first?
- 50:32Speaker 6: I'll go first?
- 50:33Speaker 1: Okay, I'm listening.
- 50:35Speaker 6: So this the.
- 50:36Speaker 2: Theme of this float is hot wheels and it's riding
- 50:42Speaker 2: on not a motor, but a thousand real hot wheels
- 50:48Speaker 2: and they're going down.
- 50:49Speaker 6: And who's that singing on the float? Why?
- 50:51Speaker 2: It's Meghan Trainer singing her new Thanksgiving song, what I
- 50:56Speaker 2: Love for Thanksgiving is You. And she's accompanied by a
- 51:01Speaker 2: kid who won a contest for being good at science.
- 51:06Speaker 5: Oh wow, that's like a sciences so good.
- 51:10Speaker 7: Thanksgiving is you what.
- 51:12Speaker 5: I've heard that song. It's about how instead of eating
- 51:14Speaker 5: the turkey, she wants to eat her boyfriend because she
- 51:17Speaker 5: loves him so much.
- 51:19Speaker 1: What a thoughtful idea, an interesting, well thought out idea
- 51:24Speaker 1: that hits so many quadrants that I'm looking for. That's awesome.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Thank you so much, thank you, thank you so much.
- 51:29Speaker 1: All right, my turn? Yeah, yeah, Indiana Jones as a balloon.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Oh sorry, No, it would never happen. It would never happen.
- 51:41Speaker 2: It would never happen. He would never go up there.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Why would Indiana Jones be in the sky. He's on
- 51:45Speaker 2: the ground.
- 51:45Speaker 1: I thought we were speaking with an open mind, because
- 51:49Speaker 1: if I'm being honest.
- 51:50Speaker 5: If you don't like that, you know they're going out
- 51:51Speaker 5: each other. Hold them apart, hold them apart.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Can we can we offline about this? I love the offline?
- 51:57Speaker 4: Oh no, John Carla looks nauseous. He's wanna throw out the.
