A tragic drowning death rocked Cherokee County, South Carolina, when 38-year-old John Daniel Ratcliffe was found face-down in three feet of water near the Duke Energy hydro dam. EMS tried to revive him after he was pulled from the Broad River, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
