- 0:00Speaker 1: This is my last time in the closet this week.
- 0:01Speaker 1: So I'm moving into my what Yeah, I'm moving into
- 0:05Speaker 1: an office actually too. Yeah, Oh it's not fancy. It's
- 0:11Speaker 1: just me and my wife had organized the room to
- 0:13Speaker 1: be our office, and so I'll no longer be in
- 0:15Speaker 1: a closet.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Oh, but it's I feel like everything's changing up because
- 0:18Speaker 2: now I'm in New York City and you're going to
- 0:20Speaker 2: come out of your closet. I hope we can make
- 0:22Speaker 2: the same magic.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I'm hoping we make the same magic too. I got
- 0:26Speaker 1: to tell you, guys something. I got two things to
- 0:27Speaker 1: tell you. Guys.
- 0:28Speaker 2: You don't have anything to say to me now that
- 0:30Speaker 2: I'm across the country. There's nothing you want to warm
- 0:32Speaker 2: up with. You just want to move on to some
- 0:34Speaker 2: story about how your kid hit a goal.
- 0:37Speaker 1: First of all, I wasn't going to talk about my kid.
- 0:43Speaker 2: You don't hit the second of all.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Second of all, you don't hit no, well, no you don't. Yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 1: you kick it, you make it, Yeah, you don't. Just
- 0:53Speaker 1: those things I gotta tell you, man. Uh. Sometime last week,
- 1:00Speaker 1: my uh best friend got nominated for an Emmy. I
- 1:05Speaker 1: was like, what the cregerada?
- 1:12Speaker 2: I know, I can't believe it.
- 1:13Speaker 3: I can't believe it, dude, you can't.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I could believe it. Amazing, Donald, it was about me.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It was about me. It all circled back to it
- 1:23Speaker 2: was about me. No, I'm really, really, really thrilled. I
- 1:28Speaker 2: have to say I will. You know, usually with those
- 1:30Speaker 2: awards things, you they wake up at the crack of
- 1:32Speaker 2: dawn because they come out so early. And when I
- 1:34Speaker 2: didn't get a call, I was like, oh darn. I
- 1:36Speaker 2: really was excited about it. And then I and then
- 1:38Speaker 2: I woke up and I was reading the phone like,
- 1:39Speaker 2: oh no, they don't get announced at eight thirty in
- 1:41Speaker 2: the morning, and so I was like, I'm still in it.
- 1:45Speaker 2: And no, I was thrilled. I was thrilled. I was
- 1:48Speaker 2: running around and I got to go to dinner with
- 1:51Speaker 2: Bill and uh and Brett and Hannah from the show
- 1:56Speaker 2: who were in town for the premiere. Joelle, you went
- 1:58Speaker 2: to the premiere and did you have fun?
- 1:59Speaker 4: I had a glass let me tell you apple throws
- 2:02Speaker 4: off party.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I know, I love that.
- 2:06Speaker 4: And the first time I drank in like maybe four months,
- 2:08Speaker 4: two hard Siders, and I was like, I'm lit and
- 2:11Speaker 4: I'm aslot.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Too much.
- 2:14Speaker 4: But it was fun. And on top of all of that,
- 2:17Speaker 4: the show is freaking amazing.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm so glad. I'm so glad, and I'm just
- 2:23Speaker 2: happy to be included. It's just really cool and I'm
- 2:26Speaker 2: just very thrilled about it.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm excited. You know, win, lose or draw. You wanted
- 2:33Speaker 1: to get nominated really badly and it happened, dude, and
- 2:36Speaker 1: you didn't have to go out and be like on
- 2:37Speaker 1: the campaign trail. Now you know I didn't.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I guess I didn't.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Now you got I guess.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Well, I don't know what am I doing. I'm in
- 2:44Speaker 2: New York City. I mean, I'm gonna come out for
- 2:45Speaker 2: the awards and uh and go. Maybe you'll be my date.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I would totally be your date.
- 2:53Speaker 2: You're gonna have to carry the back of my dress
- 2:54Speaker 2: in my train.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I don't mind doing nothing.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, queen, I'm gonna wear it train.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Okay, yah queen. Okay. So that was my first news.
- 3:06Speaker 1: My first news is my best friend got nominated for
- 3:10Speaker 1: an Emmy. It's one of the biggest. It's one of
- 3:12Speaker 1: the biggest moments of his life, obviously, because this is
- 3:16Speaker 1: something that he's going It's.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Pretty huge, I gotta say, because like, you know, I
- 3:20Speaker 2: really want to be a filmmaker. I mean, I am
- 3:22Speaker 2: a filmmaker. I love being a filmmaker more than anything
- 3:25Speaker 2: in the world, and uh to be you know, I
- 3:28Speaker 2: was thinking about this, not to get serious for a
- 3:32Speaker 2: split second, but get serious. You know, when I was
- 3:34Speaker 2: a little kid, I was depressed a lot, and my
- 3:36Speaker 2: parents are going through bad divorce and I and I
- 3:38Speaker 2: was a melancholic child, and I was thinking about how
- 3:41Speaker 2: the half hour comedy cheered me up. It was, it
- 3:46Speaker 2: brought me so much joy. And you know, we joke
- 3:49Speaker 2: about all those sitcoms we loved and all the joy
- 3:51Speaker 2: we got from all of the ones that we constantly
- 3:54Speaker 2: reference on here, and I just feel just so thrilled
- 3:58Speaker 2: to be you know, we're talking about Scrubs, which obviously
- 4:01Speaker 2: did that for a lot of people. Donald and I
- 4:03Speaker 2: hear all the time how the show cheered them up
- 4:05Speaker 2: when they were in a dark time, and and I
- 4:08Speaker 2: don't know, and last so obviously did that for a
- 4:10Speaker 2: lot of people during the pandemic. So I was just
- 4:12Speaker 2: sitting there the night, trying to fall asleep, thinking about
- 4:14Speaker 2: how grateful I am to be a part of this community,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and so how grateful I am that this this this
- 4:22Speaker 2: thing that really cheered me up when I was sad
- 4:25Speaker 2: as a child. We get to be a part of
- 4:28Speaker 2: today and hopefully make other people smile.
- 4:30Speaker 1: That's well said, first of all, and I'm very, very
- 4:34Speaker 1: very excited for you and happy for you as well.
- 4:36Speaker 1: The whole household was like, holy shit. It's like it
- 4:39Speaker 1: was like when you find out somebody did something really
- 4:42Speaker 1: freaking cool. It's a lot of people are like yeah.
- 4:46Speaker 1: We were all like, holy shit, Yo, you fucking did dude.
- 4:52Speaker 1: You said you wanted to get nominated and you got not.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Well, I wanted to be in the mix. Everyone was
- 4:56Speaker 2: talking about the show, and I was like, I don't
- 4:58Speaker 2: know if I'm gonna get nominated, you know, because often
- 5:00Speaker 2: it's the pilot of a new show that will get nominated.
- 5:04Speaker 2: But interestingly enough, this show broke the record for the
- 5:08Speaker 2: most nominations of freshman comedy has ever received. Amazing, which
- 5:13Speaker 2: is insane for mister Bill Lawrence.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Bill Lawrence, good for you.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, Bill broke the record. Our buddy who
- 5:20Speaker 2: created this podcast, and and and then.
- 5:24Speaker 1: And did not create this podcast.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I know, I'm just kidding, but and then and then,
- 5:30Speaker 2: so I of course was like, Oh, my goodness, I'd
- 5:32Speaker 2: like to be on the mix. You know, I knew
- 5:33Speaker 2: a lot of people liked my episode a lot, which
- 5:35Speaker 2: was the second one, Biscuits, But you know, you think, like, oh,
- 5:38Speaker 2: is it gonna be the pilot director, But it actually
- 5:40Speaker 2: ended up being three of us nominated for the show,
- 5:44Speaker 2: and mine was the earliest one, the one Biscuits, which
- 5:48Speaker 2: I'm really I'm really proud of. So I'm I truly
- 5:50Speaker 2: am happy to be in the mix. I'm honored to
- 5:51Speaker 2: be a part of it. I love this community, I
- 5:54Speaker 2: love being a filmmaker, and I just I can't wait
- 5:56Speaker 2: to go and have you carry my train.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I can't wait to carry your train. I've always said
- 6:01Speaker 1: this to you, man, I think you're a phenomenal actor,
- 6:04Speaker 1: but as much as you're a great actor, you're an
- 6:06Speaker 1: even better director. Dude.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Man, thank you well that dovetails into the one hundredth
- 6:10Speaker 2: episode of Scrubs.
- 6:11Speaker 1: That it doesn't dovetail yet, because I got another set
- 6:14Speaker 1: of news. I got your kidnapped, I got sick, and
- 6:21Speaker 1: I thought it was COVID nineteen. There's delta variant, dude.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I thought you got that delta dude.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I thought I got that delta for rizzle for rizzle,
- 6:31Speaker 1: And it turns out I inhaled way too much smoke
- 6:34Speaker 1: while smoking weed. That's what I'm talking about. That is
- 6:38Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. And so now I have I
- 6:41Speaker 1: don't know if it's pneumonia, but I have congestion in
- 6:46Speaker 1: my chest and nose.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Okay, well, thank god it's not the delta. And you
- 6:50Speaker 2: were talking about going on a weed break again? Did that?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Did that happen?
- 6:54Speaker 1: That impromptued a reed break like no other within like
- 6:58Speaker 1: this happened three days ago? And uh, and let me
- 7:02Speaker 1: tell you something right now. Yeah, is weed is out
- 7:07Speaker 1: the dough again, out the dough as as they say,
- 7:10Speaker 1: as they say where I'm from, it's out the dough.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Yeah again. I think that's good. I'm glad you don't
- 7:17Speaker 2: have the delta.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I flew.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I went to Atlanta to do a part on this
- 7:22Speaker 2: movie with Cole Sprouse. I got to tell you, Donald,
- 7:25Speaker 2: it reminded me of of you and me on Scrubs
- 7:28Speaker 2: because the script was very funny. But then he was
- 7:32Speaker 2: just asking the director asked me and and Cole to riff.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And by the way, Cole has we share Phil lewis
- 7:41Speaker 2: in common because he was mister Mosebley on the Shore.
- 7:45Speaker 2: We were too old for it. But on True what
- 7:48Speaker 2: was it?
- 7:49Speaker 1: Just Sweet Life Zack and Cody, Zack and Cody. It
- 7:52Speaker 1: was a bunch of different versions of it. I think right.
- 7:55Speaker 2: He was on it a long time and but he
- 7:57Speaker 2: was telling me how much he loves Phil, and I
- 7:58Speaker 2: was like, oh, my goodness. And he's said to me,
- 8:00Speaker 2: he said, I don't know. You probably don't remember this,
- 8:02Speaker 2: but on the season finale, the season eight finale of
- 8:06Speaker 2: the show, when when Phil came back and everyone was
- 8:08Speaker 2: lining the halls, he said, me and my brother were
- 8:11Speaker 2: such fans, and Phil brought us to the set. Do
- 8:15Speaker 2: you remember that.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I don't remember that, but I remember meeting those two
- 8:19Speaker 1: when they were a lot younger. Yeah, well, when they
- 8:21Speaker 1: were kids, And I do remember Phil bringing them to
- 8:24Speaker 1: seven because then I would run into them after and
- 8:27Speaker 1: they'd be like hey, hey, and I would always take
- 8:29Speaker 1: a picture with them and send it to my kids,
- 8:31Speaker 1: like yo, lacu, I'm hanging out with Yeah.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Well, anyway, it was really sweet. He's a really, really,
- 8:36Speaker 2: really funny and talented person. And anyway, so we're riffing, right,
- 8:41Speaker 2: and I haven't laughed this hard since scrubs. Dude, we
- 8:43Speaker 2: were just we were coming. It was like one thirty
- 8:46Speaker 2: in the morning, you know, the crew is like everyone's exhausted,
- 8:50Speaker 2: and we're just riffing these jokes like in this episode
- 8:52Speaker 2: with the manatee and stuff, and a zillion times with
- 8:54Speaker 2: you where I just cannot get through what we've come
- 8:57Speaker 2: up with and we're both staring at each other like hmmm,
- 9:00Speaker 2: d you know, and You're like, come on, like give
- 9:05Speaker 2: your slapping your face, like you got this, And then
- 9:08Speaker 2: we'd be like and I had to say this sentence
- 9:09Speaker 2: and I just couldn't. I finally turn the director, I'm like,
- 9:11Speaker 2: I don't know if I can say it. I don't
- 9:12Speaker 2: know if I can say that laughing. It was just
- 9:13Speaker 2: so fun funny.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Anyway, I love it. That's great. Man's having a good one.
- 9:17Speaker 1: You're having a good fucking week right now. Bro.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Yes. By the way, Berlandy texted me and he's like,
- 9:22Speaker 2: you got an Emmy nomination and you're in my film.
- 9:25Speaker 2: This is a good week for you. It was. It
- 9:30Speaker 2: was a very good week. And I'm so happy to
- 9:31Speaker 2: be talking to you. Guys. I missed you, and I'm
- 9:34Speaker 2: I'm I'm really glad to be talking about episode one hundred.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I can't believe you know, I wrote down one hundred.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I was like, that means we've made a hundred podcasts.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I can't believe that.
- 9:42Speaker 1: No, we've made more than a hundred podcasts.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Because we've done special ones.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yeah, we've done specials. So we're up there like one
- 9:47Speaker 1: hundred and four hundred and five hundred and six something
- 9:49Speaker 1: like that.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Well, this is a really really I haven't seen it
- 9:53Speaker 2: since we made it.
- 9:54Speaker 1: This shit has so many jokes in it, it's ridiculous.
- 9:57Speaker 2: And I just learned I missed a lot of stuff.
- 9:59Speaker 2: And I looked on you directed.
- 10:01Speaker 1: This, and you missed a lot of stuff.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Dude, Well no, I'm saying I missed. I didn't know
- 10:04Speaker 2: where a lot of stuff went. And then I went
- 10:06Speaker 2: on Scrubs Wiki and said, there's a there's an extended
- 10:08Speaker 2: ten minute long version on the DVDs. So if you
- 10:12Speaker 2: have the DVDs, you better go watch them because I
- 10:15Speaker 2: directed it, and I remembered all this cool stuff and
- 10:17Speaker 2: really funny stuff. Rob at the Zoo, we shoot them at.
- 10:20Speaker 1: The Where is said monkey?
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah? Where is said monkeys in the show? No, it wasn't, No,
- 10:25Speaker 2: it was hey, before we even get started, before we
- 10:28Speaker 2: even get started. We are here to announce the second
- 10:32Speaker 2: live version of the podcast.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Where's it called.
- 10:37Speaker 2: It's called Live Show two, Live Harder.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Like that, Yes, like that, I guess what.

- 11:45Speaker 2: Joelle's beautiful face. You'll see don't get the fact that
- 11:48Speaker 2: Daniel still doesn't have a dresser.

- 11:54Speaker 1: Dan, Where do you put your clothes.
- 11:56Speaker 2: On the floor? No, I have, I have. It's don't
- 11:59Speaker 2: get me started. This is a plug for our live show. Donald,

- 12:16Speaker 7: All right, thanks Zach.
- 12:18Speaker 8: If you listen to an earlier version of this, then
- 12:20Speaker 8: you heard a ridiculously long, you know, web address to
- 12:24Speaker 8: get to the site where you buy your tickets. But
- 12:28Speaker 8: luckily the cool people are on Location Live gave me
- 12:30Speaker 8: a much better web address. So here's one you won't
- 12:33Speaker 8: need a pencil for. You're just gonna go to on
- 12:35Speaker 8: locationlive dot com slash Fake Doctors, Real Friends again. It's

- 12:51Speaker 2: September ninth. Do you remember how Herman Kane used to
- 12:55Speaker 2: go nine nine nine. Yeah, Well it's nine nine two
- 13:01Speaker 2: one if you and if you're in New York, it's
- 13:03Speaker 2: gonna be.
- 13:04Speaker 5: At nine yeah nine nine nine nine nine nine nine
- 13:10Speaker 5: nine nine nine nine ahead nine nine nine nine nine nine.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Now you Nick, go in nine nine nine. Let's get
- 13:25Speaker 1: into ours. Let's get into our show.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Okay, count save stories.
- 13:32Speaker 9: I'm not sure we made about a bunch of talks
- 13:36Speaker 9: and nurses in Canada.
- 13:39Speaker 10: He said, here's the stories all so YadA around you here,
- 13:47Speaker 10: yeada around here set.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I remembered a lot of things that weren't in this episode,
- 13:57Speaker 2: and I don't know the trivia if this and it
- 14:00Speaker 2: aired was a bit longer than what's on where I
- 14:02Speaker 2: watch it iTunes or wherever you watch it Hulu. But
- 14:06Speaker 2: there was a bunch of stuff missing, and there were
- 14:10Speaker 2: longer scenes like you when you first go meet mister Bolger,
- 14:13Speaker 2: who's my acting professor, David Downs, who changed my life
- 14:17Speaker 2: in a lot of ways At Northwestern, and I cast
- 14:19Speaker 2: him as mister Boulder. That scene was a lot longer.
- 14:22Speaker 1: And which was the last scene.
- 14:25Speaker 2: No, by the way, that scenems great.
- 14:27Speaker 1: That scene is amazing. The first scene you're talking about.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that scene. We had to get to that scene
- 14:31Speaker 2: in at the end. You're so good in that scene.
- 14:33Speaker 2: But I'm talking about the first scene in the doctor's
- 14:35Speaker 2: lounge was longer. There was a lot. There's a lot
- 14:38Speaker 2: that was cut out. Anyway, if you happen to be
- 14:40Speaker 2: someone who owns the DVDs, I read on Scrubswiki that
- 14:43Speaker 2: there's on that and I guess it must be the
- 14:45Speaker 2: season five DVD. There's an extended cut, which you should
- 14:47Speaker 2: watch because there's a lot of stuff that's cut out.
- 14:51Speaker 2: And this was really special. I was so honored I
- 14:53Speaker 2: got to direct it in classic bill form. He gave
- 14:57Speaker 2: me ones that were impossible to make in five days.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I don't know how we shot this all in five days,
- 15:02Speaker 2: or if we even did, but it has so many
- 15:04Speaker 2: classic funny Scrubs moments in it.
- 15:06Speaker 1: We got a lot done. Like there's so many jokes
- 15:10Speaker 1: in it, Like just first of all, opening up the
- 15:12Speaker 1: show with Toto. Yeah, now this is like right, then
- 15:16Speaker 1: and there Dorothy and Toto together, you know what I mean.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Cox's number one thing to call you is Dorothy, and
- 15:23Speaker 1: here's Toto, right and.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and now so this is a set obviously, and
- 15:27Speaker 2: it's in the rain. I was just super analyzing this
- 15:29Speaker 2: whole episode because there's so much and even after I'd
- 15:31Speaker 2: like spotted a lot of things, there's a zillion things
- 15:33Speaker 2: if you look again, if you're really curious, we're not
- 15:35Speaker 2: gonna probably get to them all. But there's so many
- 15:37Speaker 2: references on Scrubs Wiki you can look up.
- 15:40Speaker 1: There's so many jokes. Dude, there's so many jokes in
- 15:42Speaker 1: this episode.
- 15:42Speaker 2: There's no way to know to the I need to
- 15:44Speaker 2: get past the fact that I missed some of them.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Like Rob at the zoo, going where is said monkey?
- 15:48Speaker 2: They're looking for what are they looking? No?
- 15:50Speaker 1: No, no, they don't go to the zoo. The kid
- 15:52Speaker 1: is in the freaking hallway, and the kid went to
- 15:56Speaker 1: the zoo like I took a kid to the zoo
- 15:58Speaker 1: or some shit like that. And Rob comes in and
- 16:00Speaker 1: is like, kid, where is said monkey? And the kid
- 16:05Speaker 1: the kid's talking about a monkey and another monkey doing
- 16:08Speaker 1: something or something like that. And then Rob's like kid,
- 16:11Speaker 1: he grabs the kid kid, I got one, I got
- 16:14Speaker 1: one question?
- 16:14Speaker 2: Where is said monkey?
- 16:15Speaker 1: Where is said monkey? So opens the show with Toto.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Opens the show with Toto. Okay on the on the
- 16:22Speaker 2: classic old iPod, and there's rain hitting the window. And
- 16:25Speaker 2: now this is a woner. The camera's just spinning three
- 16:28Speaker 2: sixty and then it's speeding up within the sections until
- 16:33Speaker 2: it gets to me in the tub. Now I see
- 16:35Speaker 2: this meme all the time. This is like one of
- 16:37Speaker 2: the most common memes people have ever sent me, with
- 16:40Speaker 2: me lying in there and going it was awesome, and
- 16:43Speaker 2: then I go, Mango, buddy, buddy.
- 16:47Speaker 1: So yeah, Mango JD. Right, JD loves living at Elliotts houses.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I wrote it very plush. She has all these
- 16:53Speaker 2: slippers and soft things and bathtubs.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Everything that he's ever wanted but has never been brave
- 16:59Speaker 1: enough to say.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Right before, he doesn't have any money. I mean we've
- 17:02Speaker 2: established it. Elliott parents are rich. They help her out
- 17:05Speaker 2: with our house. So she's got a nicer house than
- 17:07Speaker 2: we than definitely Turk and JD Haad.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I think Turk would enjoy this as much as absolutely, yes,
- 17:14Speaker 1: as much as JD. So then we get to the way,
- 17:16Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, what the fuck is in the
- 17:18Speaker 1: mango body butter that? What did you eat?
- 17:20Speaker 2: That's a good question. Do you remember? I think it
- 17:24Speaker 2: was like probably flavored cream cheese, That's my guess. I
- 17:33Speaker 2: remember it was edible and had to look like body butter,
- 17:36Speaker 2: so I I for some reason, I think it was
- 17:38Speaker 2: like not mango, but you know some you know with
- 17:41Speaker 2: cream cheese comes in all the different flavor. By the way,
- 17:44Speaker 2: if you hear an incessant ice cream truck in my
- 17:48Speaker 2: apartment in New York, I have had so many elaborate
- 17:50Speaker 2: fantasies like doing maguyvers ship to this fucking ice cream truckau.
- 17:58Speaker 2: If you live in New York and it's you just
- 18:01Speaker 2: have to get used to the fact that you will
- 18:03Speaker 2: always hear.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Whatever the fuck that song that's not the that's the
- 18:11Speaker 1: that's the that's Pop goes the Weasel. The ice cream
- 18:15Speaker 1: truck song is this guy.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Goes the Weasel.
- 18:19Speaker 1: But the ice cream truck song is do do Do
- 18:21Speaker 1: Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do do
- 18:23Speaker 1: do do Yeah.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I think that's in the rotation, but it's just NonStop.
- 18:29Speaker 2: You just if you're if you live here, you're required
- 18:32Speaker 2: to accept that you will hear that fucking song all
- 18:35Speaker 2: day long.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Yeah do do?
- 18:37Speaker 2: I can hear it right now.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Now.
- 18:40Speaker 2: I have laid in my bed and like thought, like, okay,
- 18:43Speaker 2: here's what I do. I don't want to I don't
- 18:45Speaker 2: want to hurt the man's business, but I am going
- 18:47Speaker 2: to take wire cutters and when he's not looking, I'm
- 18:52Speaker 2: gonna clip the little pa speaker thing.
- 18:54Speaker 1: The crazy thing is you live in an area where
- 18:56Speaker 1: there aren't a lot of kids running around the only
- 18:58Speaker 1: reason why he would need that song on is so
- 19:01Speaker 1: that the kids know the ice cream truck is coming.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Eddie Murphy did a whole skit, a whole freakoncession.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Dude.
- 19:07Speaker 1: He is parked at the corners, open up the door
- 19:12Speaker 1: like I got ice cream, y'all.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Anybody pass them in any other place. The ice cream
- 19:15Speaker 2: truck drives around. You hear it, and your brain goes,
- 19:19Speaker 2: do we want ice cream or not? And then the
- 19:21Speaker 2: truck leaves right right in my neighborhood. He's parked there
- 19:27Speaker 2: all fucking yay. I'm sorry, bro, And I thought about
- 19:31Speaker 2: going to have a chat with him, like how much
- 19:33Speaker 2: ice cream I have to buy right now for you
- 19:34Speaker 2: to turn You just.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Go for you just to go.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I want to reason with him, being like, Bro, the
- 19:41Speaker 2: song shouldn't be on all day the song maybe once
- 19:45Speaker 2: an hour at the.
- 19:46Speaker 1: YO, dude, what's it's? What's its fuel bill? Like, dude, he's.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Got generator, it's off the generator, Dude, Dude. At the
- 19:53Speaker 2: top of the hour, play the song. Remind everyone you're here,
- 19:56Speaker 2: but all day long, I'm I'm I'm gonna, I'm gonna
- 19:59Speaker 2: cut the wires. It's such a culture shock coming from
- 20:07Speaker 2: Los Angeles to New York with all the sounds.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I mean in New York we all live
- 20:11Speaker 1: on top of each other. Yeah, La, we're a little
- 20:13Speaker 1: bit spread.
- 20:13Speaker 2: All right. So we've spoken about this stunt a zillion
- 20:15Speaker 2: times already, but it was the most elaborate stunt we
- 20:19Speaker 2: ever did and expensive. It might not look that complicated
- 20:22Speaker 2: to you because it's just digging two holes, but like
- 20:26Speaker 2: as far as OSHA's standards go, you can't just throw
- 20:29Speaker 2: a stunt man in a hole. You dug an asphalt.
- 20:32Speaker 2: You have to like support it because it was deep.
- 20:36Speaker 2: So the first hole is deep and had to be
- 20:39Speaker 2: what do you call it, cemented? Not cemented, but short up,
- 20:43Speaker 2: short up is that a correct term.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Shure up to support something or keep something from falling
- 20:48Speaker 4: by placing something under or against it.
- 20:50Speaker 1: They shored up the.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Roofs okay, So they shored it up, and it was
- 20:54Speaker 2: and they had to get permission from the city. I
- 20:56Speaker 2: remember Randall telling us it was a whole big deal.
- 20:58Speaker 2: So the way the stunt goes is that the stunt
- 21:01Speaker 2: man it's a woner again, which is just to make
- 21:04Speaker 2: it one step harder. The holes are obviously not connected,
- 21:08Speaker 2: but the stuntman drives the scooter into the first one,
- 21:12Speaker 2: and then the camera pans and I'm hiding underwater holding
- 21:15Speaker 2: my breast in the second hole, and then the grips
- 21:19Speaker 2: were banging as hard as they could on the asphalt.
- 21:22Speaker 2: That was my cue, because I could hear it very
- 21:24Speaker 2: vaguely underwater, and that's when I popped up. And we
- 21:27Speaker 2: only had, really, I think we had two scooters because
- 21:30Speaker 2: the scooter is obviously instantly ruined, so we only could
- 21:33Speaker 2: do it like twice. And it's hilarious, it really was.
- 21:36Speaker 1: We got it, and we fucking got it. Dude, I
- 21:39Speaker 1: can't now what did you say? Where was that? Yeah?
- 21:43Speaker 1: When you come up, you say where was I? But
- 21:45Speaker 1: you say to the janitor, hey, do you know anything
- 21:47Speaker 1: about any odd underground canals?
- 21:50Speaker 2: Because this is a whole rift thing. This is exactly
- 21:52Speaker 2: what I'm talking about I just did with Cole where
- 21:54Speaker 2: this was one of those situations with Neil where we
- 21:57Speaker 2: were just riffing the stupidest hit and cracking each other up.
- 22:00Speaker 2: We could barely get through this. But yeah, I said,
- 22:03Speaker 2: was is there some sort of underground canal system? Because
- 22:07Speaker 2: I think I saw a manatee? And he goes straight face,
- 22:11Speaker 2: He goes, was his name Julian? And I go we
- 22:13Speaker 2: didn't exchange pleasantries. He goes, that's Julian. So yes, and
- 22:19Speaker 2: there is a manatee that lives underneath the hospital and
- 22:22Speaker 2: a canal. And he's rude. He's not a friendly man.
- 22:25Speaker 1: He's not a friend.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Oh, I forgot to say, And here comes a biggin
- 22:30Speaker 2: when I drived into.
- 22:31Speaker 1: The where was I? So now we go into the ICU.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Wait, wait, the sneaker painting which gives me red ruby slipper,
- 22:40Speaker 2: and of course the lines which is eventually going to
- 22:42Speaker 2: give us the yellow brick.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Yellow brick road.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Now there was a whole other little elaborate thing that
- 22:46Speaker 2: got cut here with the janitor. But again that's on
- 22:49Speaker 2: the DVD and then you're right, we go into payback
- 22:54Speaker 2: is a bitch.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Payback, Payback is a bitch. Now, how did this is?
- 22:59Speaker 1: My question is what did you do to Cox? You call?
- 23:03Speaker 1: You would call him in back in the day on
- 23:06Speaker 1: his days off, to make it so that you so
- 23:10Speaker 1: you wouldn't have to make a decision, You wouldn't have
- 23:12Speaker 1: to make a tough decision. So yeah, when you're an
- 23:14Speaker 1: intern and.
- 23:15Speaker 2: You're scared and you don't want to make a crucial call.
- 23:18Speaker 2: He's saying, you called me in so many times for
- 23:20Speaker 2: stuff that he shouldn't have called me in on. And
- 23:22Speaker 2: I'm so happy that it's now on you that this
- 23:25Speaker 2: is happening to you, that I've I've literally hired LaVerne's
- 23:28Speaker 2: church choir.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Bullshit. I called bullshit right here. How do you get
- 23:32Speaker 1: a fucking church choir inside a hospital behind a curtain
- 23:37Speaker 1: only to reveal it when JD walks into the.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Eye you can see it.
- 23:41Speaker 1: How did they know? How did they know that you
- 23:43Speaker 1: were coming into the ICU? How did he know when
- 23:46Speaker 1: you were coming in to close the curtain and be
- 23:47Speaker 1: like like keep it down.
- 23:49Speaker 2: I don't know, but you can see them. It's funny.
- 23:50Speaker 2: When you turn around you can see all their legs
- 23:53Speaker 2: beneath the curtain.
- 23:55Speaker 1: You're looking for it. I didn't look for.
- 23:57Speaker 2: It, but yeah, that was funny. And then they cut
- 24:00Speaker 2: it out there used to there was a version again,
- 24:02Speaker 2: it might be on the DVD. But where I get
- 24:04Speaker 2: all into it, I mean, I get a little bit
- 24:05Speaker 2: of the spirit and I'm dancing along to pay back
- 24:07Speaker 2: is a bitch?
- 24:08Speaker 1: Really?
- 24:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I think in this version, just Keith sort of
- 24:12Speaker 2: starts dancing a bit, got it, Fucking Keith, Fucking Keith.
- 24:18Speaker 2: So JD wants to get home, all right, so obviously we're.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Right, it's his day off. He shouldn't be in the hospital,
- 24:24Speaker 1: he should be at home. But he keeps getting called
- 24:27Speaker 1: into action, right, very similar to Dorothy falling into uh,
- 24:32Speaker 1: you know, being twisted up into what's the oz?
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and she just wants to get home, and he
- 24:39Speaker 2: just wants to get home, and he's trying to escape
- 24:41Speaker 2: the hospital, but everyone keeps pulling him back in. I
- 24:44Speaker 2: thought I laughed out loud when we gasped collectively when Judy,
- 24:48Speaker 2: this is Webster.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just a sitcom.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Did you like Webster? We've spoken.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I watched a few episodes.
- 24:58Speaker 2: I don't think Webster was one of my go too.
- 25:00Speaker 2: That was more of a different stroke stroke guy.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I watched quite a few
- 25:04Speaker 1: episodes of Webster, but I just I don't think it
- 25:06Speaker 1: wasn't as into.
- 25:07Speaker 2: It st I thought it was so cool that Webster
- 25:10Speaker 2: had a secret staircase behind the grandfather clock.
- 25:13Speaker 1: See I don't even remember that.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Webster had his own little secret backstaircase behind
- 25:19Speaker 2: I don't know why he had this or who. I
- 25:21Speaker 2: don't think anyone else used it but Webster. But he
- 25:24Speaker 2: had like a little backway upstairs.
- 25:25Speaker 1: What up to his room? Where did it lead?
- 25:29Speaker 2: I don't know. Did he ever look up Webster and
- 25:32Speaker 2: his secret grandfather clock staircase?
- 25:35Speaker 1: Now, because it's a sitcom, did he ever use it
- 25:38Speaker 1: to escape?
- 25:39Speaker 2: I don't know. I just I didn't watch a lot
- 25:41Speaker 2: of the show. Like, I'm way more versed on different
- 25:45Speaker 2: strokes and the zillion others that we've discussed. But anyway,
- 25:50Speaker 2: that was very funny when the Bassinett's all Domino like Domino's.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Yeah that made me laugh. Also, I wrote down babies
- 25:59Speaker 1: falling like Domino. Yeah, that was very funny.
- 26:02Speaker 2: At four twenty one when Jack. First of all, Jack
- 26:05Speaker 2: is adorable, but he's so multiple distracted and you can
- 26:10Speaker 2: see that Jordan Christa is holding him and he's looking
- 26:15Speaker 2: up clearly at the boom mic.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Right if you have a boom.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Mic over a little kid's head, it's so distracting because
- 26:20Speaker 2: they want to look at it like and that happens
- 26:23Speaker 2: multiple times in this show that he's either steering into
- 26:26Speaker 2: the lens or looking up at the boom mic that's
- 26:29Speaker 2: floating right over his head. And at that very end
- 26:32Speaker 2: last epic crane shot, which which was so elaborate and
- 26:35Speaker 2: I'll tell you how he did it. But even then
- 26:37Speaker 2: when Carl when Judy's playing with him, you can see
- 26:39Speaker 2: he's looking out the window at the That kid ruined
- 26:43Speaker 2: every shot he was in in this episode so cute.
- 26:48Speaker 2: It's gotta be like, I don't know, but he was
- 26:50Speaker 2: so sweet in the end scene with Judy when when
- 26:52Speaker 2: when first of all, Johnny See is so good in
- 26:55Speaker 2: this episode, and it was so sweet in that end
- 26:58Speaker 2: scene where he's giving Carla pep talk and he says
- 27:00Speaker 2: it'll be different because they're yours and they both have
- 27:03Speaker 2: these matching giant blue eyes. I thought that was so sweet.
- 27:08Speaker 2: And uh oh, Joelle is saying that the staircase went
- 27:11Speaker 2: from the living room to the downstairs duplex.
- 27:15Speaker 1: They had it.
- 27:15Speaker 4: That's what it says on the interwebs. I have never
- 27:18Speaker 4: seen this show.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Okay, anyway, it was probably their back staircase, but it was.
- 27:22Speaker 2: It was hidden behind a grandfather clock. I don't think
- 27:24Speaker 2: it led to like a secret webster layer or anything.
- 27:28Speaker 2: What about both women'll talk about something that didn't age well,
- 27:30Speaker 2: both women being sexually attracted to Rudy Giuliani.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why I was gonna write. That's what I wrote.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I was like, what the fuck I wrote? Uh, this
- 27:37Speaker 1: was back when people liked Rudy Giulian before.
- 27:40Speaker 2: He lost his fucking mind. And that's not a political
- 27:43Speaker 2: thing to say. Okay, no, it's not.
- 27:45Speaker 10: It is.
- 27:47Speaker 2: A fact that the man has lost his g darn mind.
- 27:52Speaker 1: He's not misunderstood that. Dude's just crazy.
- 27:56Speaker 2: You can be a Republican, it's okay, but you have
- 27:58Speaker 2: to admit that Juliani has lost his fucking mind. He's
- 28:02Speaker 2: a nut job with his fucking hair dye dripping down
- 28:05Speaker 2: his face.
- 28:06Speaker 1: He's a nut job.
- 28:07Speaker 2: He gave his press conference at the Four Seasons Landscaping
- 28:10Speaker 2: because he thought it was a Four Seasons hotel, and
- 28:13Speaker 2: then still didn't change his mind, like, guys, we can't,
- 28:16Speaker 2: we can't do this press conference in a parking lot
- 28:18Speaker 2: for a landscaping company.
- 28:20Speaker 1: I'm just gonna do it, you know, We're just gonna
- 28:21Speaker 1: do We're gonna do.
- 28:22Speaker 2: We're gonna do it. We're gonna do it. We're all here.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Let's do it. There was a crew member on the
- 28:27Speaker 2: on the Cole Sprouse movie who had a four Season's
- 28:30Speaker 2: Landscaping T shirt. I want one, I want one, I
- 28:34Speaker 2: want anyway. You know, this was around a time when
- 28:36Speaker 2: Juliani was still such a hero, you know, after he
- 28:39Speaker 2: was such a badass during nine eleven eleven and he
- 28:42Speaker 2: you know, he was people thought he could be president
- 28:45Speaker 2: and he was. He was he was a hero, and
- 28:47Speaker 2: so it was. It didn't it wasn't out of place
- 28:49Speaker 2: for these two women to be like, oh my god, Juliani.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Yeah, now it's a little out of place, especially after
- 28:55Speaker 1: especially after blow at two and everything.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I think I think there's you keep you can keep
- 29:02Speaker 2: saying there's been a low point, but they just keep coming.
- 29:04Speaker 2: So anyway, the press conference at the Landscaping Company was
- 29:09Speaker 2: one of them.
- 29:10Speaker 1: All right, Rabbit, do is Elliott's intern? Did you see that?
- 29:13Speaker 2: As Scott Rabbit my stand in? Who you guys see?
- 29:16Speaker 3: Uh?
- 29:17Speaker 2: Who you guys heard on the on the special episode
- 29:20Speaker 2: with the with the stand ins. And also later we
- 29:23Speaker 2: see Renee as another one of Sara and Rabbit. They
- 29:27Speaker 2: both have lines, so that.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Was good and they delivered them well.
- 29:30Speaker 2: They both did a great job. And then Elliott calls
- 29:33Speaker 2: her interns rock tours. Yeah, and then and we learned
- 29:39Speaker 2: that Elliott is hiding right.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Because they all think she's good at what is it?
- 29:45Speaker 2: It's end of chronology And they said she went and
- 29:49Speaker 2: did a she went and did a fellowship, but she
- 29:52Speaker 2: only lasted five days. And she's come back all cocky
- 29:55Speaker 2: about all her experience, and they're like and and and
- 29:58Speaker 2: even Cox can't figure out how she's getting all these answers.
- 30:01Speaker 2: We learned that she's hiding them all over the place,
- 30:03Speaker 2: which was very funny.
- 30:04Speaker 1: While Ted's band is singing Maniac which was phenomenal. Also, Uh,
- 30:11Speaker 1: you didn't go to as Fay school, but you seem
- 30:14Speaker 1: to be doing a great job at that. And then
- 30:15Speaker 1: you running over and giving a high five. Yes, and
- 30:17Speaker 1: I know them right, And she goes and he goes,
- 30:20Speaker 1: you got a high five? That really? And you go,
- 30:22Speaker 1: I didn't know. I didn't know what it was for.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I gotta stop doing that. Yes, okay. First of all,
- 30:27Speaker 1: there's no am I right, and I go, here's some okay.
- 30:31Speaker 1: First of all, there's no reference in the show at
- 30:33Speaker 1: all of you go getting out of control with high
- 30:36Speaker 1: fives at all at any point in the.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Show where there were cut. There was other ones in
- 30:40Speaker 2: this episode that were cut.
- 30:41Speaker 1: So when I watched it, I was like, wait a second,
- 30:43Speaker 1: I don't. I don't, huh. I thought that would have
- 30:46Speaker 1: been a great time for Todd to show up out
- 30:47Speaker 1: of nowhere. Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 30:50Speaker 2: There was, but I think there was a really there
- 30:52Speaker 2: were like this was another runner of in the episode,
- 30:55Speaker 2: and it's probably in the ten minute long version, but
- 30:57Speaker 2: it's not in this one.
- 30:59Speaker 1: But I did laugh. But but then when I saw
- 31:02Speaker 1: inflatable five, I was like, yeah, you can't bring him
- 31:04Speaker 1: in with that high five. You got to bring him
- 31:06Speaker 1: in inflatable.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Everyone's got all those persons, now you you you commissioned
- 31:12Speaker 2: a Kelso bobblehead that doesn't feel like a cheap present.
- 31:15Speaker 1: No, it doesn't at all, doesn't. Not only not only
- 31:17Speaker 1: that don't That was the bobbleheads that we got as
- 31:20Speaker 1: wrap gifts. I think.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Yeah, So what happened was, I obviously the prop department
- 31:24Speaker 2: found a company that would make you know, special bespoke bobbleheads,
- 31:29Speaker 2: and then once Bill saw how great they were, he
- 31:32Speaker 2: he hired them to make for all of us. We
- 31:35Speaker 2: all got you know, they weren't like professionally made. I
- 31:40Speaker 2: mean they were made by an artist who made these things.
- 31:42Speaker 2: And we each got all six or seven cast members.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody got one.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Do you still have yours?
- 31:49Speaker 1: Yeah, somewhere.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Some of them are broken. I still have them somewhere.
- 31:54Speaker 2: But that's where Yeah, that's where Bill got the ideas,
- 31:56Speaker 2: and it was a really nice present from him.
- 31:57Speaker 1: It was such a great presence.
- 31:59Speaker 2: I love this. Did you eat? Did you eat? My
- 32:01Speaker 2: mango body? Butter? No? A shmut.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Should rolling a shmeed it on a bagel.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Everyone brings in presents because they're all trying to schmooze
- 32:12Speaker 2: Kelso to get this heart transplant, which also sets up
- 32:17Speaker 2: this device that you're looking for a heart. Elliott is
- 32:20Speaker 2: looking for brains and Carla is looking for courage.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Correct, because Carla doesn't want to have kids. After babysitting
- 32:27Speaker 1: baby Jack.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Right, she baby sits Jack for not very long and realizes,
- 32:31Speaker 2: fuck this, I don't think I have it in me.
- 32:33Speaker 1: This kid's a painting the ass. I don't want this.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Right and Cox later points out to her that when
- 32:38Speaker 2: it's your child, it's different because she's like, I want
- 32:41Speaker 2: to smash this kid's thrice.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Now you want to smush your kid's face till you
- 32:45Speaker 1: just don't do it. You just don't do it like
- 32:50Speaker 1: my kids might. Okay, so here's a great example. My
- 32:53Speaker 1: kid had a great, uh weekend all weekend, right. He
- 32:58Speaker 1: played on Saturday, scored two goals in his soccer game.
- 33:03Speaker 1: He's a huge fan of basketball now, right, so his
- 33:07Speaker 1: favorite team is you know, whichever team is in the playoffs,
- 33:11Speaker 1: So right now, Phoenix is his favorite team because he
- 33:14Speaker 1: likes Devin Booker. He's only he's only seven, now, you
- 33:17Speaker 1: gotta remember that. So he loves Devin Booker. He really
- 33:19Speaker 1: likes uh uh, Chris Paul, he likes DeAndre Ayton. They're
- 33:24Speaker 1: the Phoenix Suns and they're going up against Milwaukee, which have. Okay,
- 33:28Speaker 1: now they have and this is the end of the tournament,
- 33:30Speaker 1: the end of the season. Giannatacompo, Drew Holliday, Chris Middleton
- 33:35Speaker 1: are the stars on They have plenty more stars, but
- 33:38Speaker 1: those are the three buses.
- 33:39Speaker 2: You love this sport so much.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Dude, It's the craziest It's the craziest thing ever. This
- 33:43Speaker 1: dude wants to watch documentaries. He's a listen. He's watching
- 33:46Speaker 1: Kobe Bryant's Detail to try and figure out how to
- 33:49Speaker 1: play better basketball. I got video after video of him
- 33:52Speaker 1: from when he first started playing basketball to how he's
- 33:54Speaker 1: playing now. His shot looks really good, he's ripping people,
- 33:57Speaker 1: he's shay, he's got moves, whereas before he couldn't do
- 34:00Speaker 1: any of that. Anyway, this kid tells me last night,
- 34:05Speaker 1: I mean two nights ago, that it's my fault that
- 34:09Speaker 1: the Phoenix Sun's lost because he couldn't take the pain.
- 34:14Speaker 1: And we're like, it's okay, baby, don't worry about it.
- 34:17Speaker 1: This is how basketball goes. Crying, yeah, crying, crying, Yeah, dude,
- 34:22Speaker 1: I've cried at basketball game several times.
- 34:24Speaker 2: No, but why I understand. I can understand he's crying
- 34:26Speaker 2: his team loss he's upset. Why is he blaming it
- 34:28Speaker 2: on you?
- 34:29Speaker 1: So because we're trying to calm him down, and we're like, baby,
- 34:32Speaker 1: it's okay, it's quite all right, don't worry about it.
- 34:34Speaker 1: This happens. It's just a game. And he looks at
- 34:37Speaker 1: me and he goes, it's your fault. They lost, and
- 34:39Speaker 1: that goes my fault. How's it my faults? Because you
- 34:42Speaker 1: didn't root hard enough for the phoenix suns?
- 34:46Speaker 6: Oh my word, Oh my god, I'm not ready.
- 34:49Speaker 2: To be a parent, dude.
- 34:52Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to say.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Of logic, their lack of logic. Yeah, frustrated.
- 34:56Speaker 1: You want to smash your own kid's face too. You
- 34:58Speaker 1: just don't do it. You just don't do it.
- 35:00Speaker 2: That's funny, that's funny. Oh man, it.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Just don't do it. When he said that, I was like,
- 35:06Speaker 1: wait a second, I didn't root.
- 35:07Speaker 2: You must have laughed in his face, though.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Dude, I'd laughed so hard and my wife laughed so hard,
- 35:13Speaker 1: and then he ran he ran away. Bus No, you're
- 35:15Speaker 1: laughing at me, dude.
- 35:18Speaker 2: This kid man, Well, it's the ultimate uh nature nurture. Man,
- 35:22Speaker 2: You really created your own mini me. Just wait till
- 35:24Speaker 2: he's like, Dad, will you teach me how to animate?
- 35:27Speaker 1: Oh? No, that's not gonna happen. Please don't do that.
- 35:30Speaker 1: I love to animate and everything like that. I want
- 35:32Speaker 1: him out the house right now. Animation takes a lot
- 35:34Speaker 1: of time inside. I want to play sports.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Well, you got him doing You got him playing sports.
- 35:39Speaker 2: You did it.
- 35:40Speaker 1: We did that.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Now. Look, I come into the ICU and I have
- 35:46Speaker 2: bloody hands. When first of all, I'm not in scrubs.
- 35:49Speaker 2: I'm in just a normal ICU bed and I'm on
- 35:53Speaker 2: just a normal icy bed and I've got completely bloody hands.
- 35:56Speaker 2: It looks like I'm digging in someone's open chest.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Cuty, you are digging in someone's.
- 36:00Speaker 2: No, I don't think that that's medically accurate. I know
- 36:02Speaker 2: scrubs is surprise itself on being medically accurate. That felt
- 36:05Speaker 2: a bit much in the middle of the ICU.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I laughed. I laughed very hard. That's a very funny.
- 36:11Speaker 1: I'm a little busy now here, and it plays up
- 36:13Speaker 1: your hands with the.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Ploor on it. Now, she's a maniac. And not only that,
- 36:17Speaker 2: Sam Lloyd pours the water on himself. Like the movie,
- 36:22Speaker 2: what's the movie?
- 36:23Speaker 1: Flash dance is what it is for.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Those of you who are too young. Flash Dance was
- 36:27Speaker 2: a movie about a dancer who worked in the steel mill.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Yeah in Detroit or something like that. You know who
- 36:35Speaker 1: to start that show? That movie was Jennifer Bial aka
- 36:41Speaker 1: bet on L Word.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Oh right, right right, sorry?
- 36:44Speaker 1: Which is a show that I'm on? I forgot streaming
- 36:47Speaker 1: now on Showtime If I'm correct, in August, it'll be
- 36:51Speaker 1: streaming on Showtime.
- 36:52Speaker 2: So oh and this is where we see you have sex?
- 36:54Speaker 1: Huh, well, I have sex on I have sex on
- 36:57Speaker 1: scrubs too, But.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I know, but don't you have don't you take coins?
- 37:01Speaker 1: Listen, man, listen, listen, listen. We are not allowed to
- 37:06Speaker 1: get into it, all right, let's just let's just say.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Let's just say there's some intimacy.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Okay, but what episode? Because I'm not going to watch it,
- 37:14Speaker 2: With all due respect to the L word, I'm not
- 37:15Speaker 2: going to watch all of it. I want to see
- 37:17Speaker 2: your coins.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I'm in damn near every episode. Listen. I will, I will,
- 37:20Speaker 1: I will, I will, I will. Uh, I will tell
- 37:25Speaker 1: you when.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Are you unwilling to let our fans all across the
- 37:28Speaker 2: world know when they might see you simulate sex on
- 37:32Speaker 2: the L word?
- 37:33Speaker 1: No, I want everybody to see it. Okay, I want
- 37:36Speaker 1: to see.
- 37:36Speaker 2: It both your Amanda, uh know exactly which episode is
- 37:41Speaker 2: the best six sex scene?
- 37:43Speaker 1: Oh wait, now hold on now, now hold on now.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I'm about to say I don't have that Bridgerton body,
- 37:47Speaker 1: so I don't want everybody thinking they're gonna see uh
- 37:51Speaker 1: I know.
- 37:51Speaker 2: But Casey and Amanda, Remember, they get all hot and
- 37:53Speaker 2: bothered when they talk about episode six, which I never
- 37:56Speaker 2: made it to see, but I watched.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I watched, I watched it.
- 37:58Speaker 2: It's not it's oh, it's like girl girl soft corn.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Yes, it's yeah, it's like skin Max.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Is it like skin Max?
- 38:07Speaker 11: No?
- 38:07Speaker 1: Because I could get off of skin Bax.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Well, Amanda and Casey they love that guy.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm really I'm really anxious to see what they
- 38:20Speaker 1: do this, not me personally watching the show, but what
- 38:23Speaker 1: they do to bring back that type of hype this
- 38:25Speaker 1: season on that on that Bridget show.
- 38:27Speaker 2: I can't believe that guy left. What was his reason
- 38:29Speaker 2: for leaving?
- 38:29Speaker 1: No, he didn't leave. He's apparently he's only supposed to
- 38:33Speaker 1: be in the first season. Now they're going to go
- 38:35Speaker 1: on to a different family, and they wanted him to
- 38:37Speaker 1: come back and play like in like a few episodes
- 38:40Speaker 1: and not pay him. And he was like, I'm.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Good, Oh okay, we are going to take a break
- 38:46Speaker 2: and when we come back, we're gonna talk about Christa's
- 38:48Speaker 2: giant inflated, silicon filled lips that are hilarious.
- 38:53Speaker 1: How did they do that?
- 38:55Speaker 2: The magic of cinema? Right back.
- 39:13Speaker 1: And no wrap?
- 39:14Speaker 2: Little o me La? Mom? Was that too loud for you? Daniel? Damn?
- 39:19Speaker 2: So you got new headphones? There are those the latest
- 39:21Speaker 2: and greatest headphones on the market.
- 39:23Speaker 6: Mine were just starting to peel away and the leather
- 39:26Speaker 6: on them was starting to just like get into my
- 39:29Speaker 6: clothes and hair.
- 39:30Speaker 3: So I needed a needed an upgrade.
- 39:31Speaker 1: You got some brand, brand new headphones. Tho, don't even
- 39:34Speaker 1: look like headphones. They look like that's a radio in
- 39:36Speaker 1: that motherfucker already. Wow, they look like do you remember
- 39:41Speaker 1: et at the end of the movie when they're all
- 39:43Speaker 1: on the bikes and that kid puts the headphones on
- 39:46Speaker 1: his head, remember the radio house?
- 39:47Speaker 2: Like those?
- 39:48Speaker 1: It looks like those, dude.
- 39:49Speaker 2: What land are those? What brand are they?
- 39:52Speaker 6: The Logitech G seven thirty three? Oh, but they're good
- 39:55Speaker 6: for gaming, they're quite good. The main selling point for
- 39:58Speaker 6: me was the lack of leather and the long wireless
- 40:00Speaker 6: range so that I can, you know, walk around the
- 40:02Speaker 6: house with them on and not have to take them
- 40:04Speaker 6: off and spy on my friends when they think they're
- 40:05Speaker 6: talking behind my back.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Now, does I have a microphone built in for when
- 40:08Speaker 2: you're doing your live twitch stream? It does. I don't
- 40:12Speaker 2: use it, though.
- 40:12Speaker 6: I still use this setup because it just sounds so
- 40:14Speaker 6: much better I see.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Okay, by the way.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Thanks to it.
- 40:17Speaker 6: Thanks to all of y'all for for shouting out the
- 40:19Speaker 6: twitch on the podcast. A lot of people came, oh, really,
- 40:22Speaker 6: did you did you.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Make it rain? Did you make it? Make it rain? Well?
- 40:26Speaker 6: They made it rain, and I did do a little twerking.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Did you Danel?
- 40:30Speaker 1: Danel? I think I'm pretty sure?
- 40:35Speaker 6: I texted the group saying, by the way I'm streaming today, Okay,
- 40:38Speaker 6: will you do it again?
- 40:39Speaker 1: But you gotta stay by the way i'mking today Now
- 40:41Speaker 1: I'm streaming to day Daniel.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Daniel, I've been I've been traveling and changing my whole
- 40:47Speaker 2: life to and I really I really need to know
- 40:51Speaker 2: when Donald and I can come make it rain, So
- 40:53Speaker 2: please do text us on the group chat again. I
- 40:55Speaker 2: will this five five p m.
- 40:57Speaker 3: This Wednesday.
- 40:58Speaker 2: Now, if I come on there and you're in some
- 41:00Speaker 2: wizard game.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Wait, when is it?
- 41:02Speaker 3: When is it five pm? This Wednesday?
- 41:05Speaker 2: It's eight pm? And uh. And by the way, if
- 41:08Speaker 2: you are a person who likes watching people play video games,
- 41:12Speaker 2: you got to follow Daniel on Twitter and Instagram because
- 41:16Speaker 2: they'll tell you when he's when he's going live. I will.
- 41:19Speaker 2: There are people out there, believe that or not, Donald,
- 41:22Speaker 2: that like to watch other people play video games.
- 41:25Speaker 1: My kid is one of them, believe it or not.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Yeah, well, let your kid watch Daniel and to have
- 41:30Speaker 2: your kid make it rain on Daniel. But what game
- 41:36Speaker 2: does he play? What? Daniel, what a game are you playing? Well?
- 41:38Speaker 6: Right now, I just started a new segment and I'm
- 41:41Speaker 6: playing the new Super Mario game.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody likes it.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Now, Daniel, wouldn't you want to pick a game?
- 41:50Speaker 2: And this might be the answer that that is as
- 41:53Speaker 2: popular as possible, So the it's like it's like a stripper.
- 41:57Speaker 2: She wants to pick the sexiest outfit so that the
- 42:00Speaker 2: most men surround her on the pole and throw money
- 42:03Speaker 2: at her. Do you do you strategically pick a game
- 42:05Speaker 2: that a lot of people like?
- 42:07Speaker 6: That is a great question. Zach and sometimes yes, sometimes know,
- 42:11Speaker 6: when you play the most popular game in the Twitch interface,
- 42:14Speaker 6: you're then up against everybody else who's playing that game.
- 42:17Speaker 6: Oh like pew pew like pewty pewed, pewty pew, pewty
- 42:20Speaker 6: pew exactly. So like if he's playing, he's at the
- 42:23Speaker 6: top of the list, and then he has twenty thousand viewers,
- 42:26Speaker 6: and then the next person has like eight thousand, then
- 42:30Speaker 6: seven thousand and five four, And so I don't even
- 42:32Speaker 6: show up at the top of the list if I
- 42:33Speaker 6: don't have thousands of views. See a smaller game, right,
- 42:37Speaker 6: got it, I show up higher on the list.
- 42:38Speaker 2: I really think you should play Tetris because I bet
- 42:41Speaker 2: there's no one doing it well when you'd be number one.
- 42:45Speaker 6: That's very kind of you to say I'll get into
- 42:47Speaker 6: some Tetris and we'll see how I do.
- 42:49Speaker 2: What game would you like to see him play?
- 42:51Speaker 1: Oh? Well, see, the games I like are very, very
- 42:54Speaker 1: very popular game so there's going to be a lot
- 42:56Speaker 1: of people twitching them. So like, hey, gts, I'm down.
- 43:01Speaker 1: I love I love GA, I love Breath of the Wild,
- 43:05Speaker 1: I love Kay Like dude, Breath of the Wild is
- 43:09Speaker 1: still like I know We talked about this when we
- 43:12Speaker 1: first started making this, uh podcast, Daniel, You're absolutely right,
- 43:16Speaker 1: that might be the most perfect game ever made. Dude. Like,
- 43:21Speaker 1: if you're into dungeon drill Dragons or you're into like
- 43:25Speaker 1: just great, it's just great storytelling, great visuals, simple graphics,
- 43:30Speaker 1: simple enough graphics that that that uh, but not too
- 43:34Speaker 1: crewe that you're like, this is bullshit. You're like, you'll
- 43:36Speaker 1: you know, it's it's enough that you're like, wow, look
- 43:39Speaker 1: at this. I'll tell you right now, best graphics I've
- 43:41Speaker 1: seen in a game that I the type that I
- 43:43Speaker 1: like Red Dead Redemption. Dude, when that first.
- 43:46Speaker 6: Came out, you're gonna say that that game.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Is when when that game first came out, I was
- 43:52Speaker 1: you stream that one, Danel. There's a lot of people
- 43:54Speaker 1: that play it, Like he said, it's a popular game.
- 43:57Speaker 6: That game's next on the backlog. I had a vote
- 44:01Speaker 6: between on my on my Discord channel. I had a
- 44:03Speaker 6: vote and Super Mario Odyssey beat Red Dead Redemption two
- 44:06Speaker 6: by one vote.
- 44:07Speaker 3: Wow.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Wow.
- 44:08Speaker 6: So I was about to play it, but then the
- 44:10Speaker 6: people chose I would.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Have been on that game, which you watching it. I'm
- 44:14Speaker 1: pretty deep into Red Dead Redemption up until pandemic happened
- 44:18Speaker 1: when I was in New York doing Emergence and Jersey
- 44:21Speaker 1: doing Emergence. I mean, dude, I'm gonna tell you something
- 44:23Speaker 1: right now. I was playing the ship out of that game.
- 44:26Speaker 1: All my time off. I would go to work. I
- 44:28Speaker 1: can come home and just play that game.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Can I extreme anything?
- 44:32Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 44:33Speaker 3: Anything?
- 44:34Speaker 2: And it does it have to be Can it have
- 44:36Speaker 2: to be PG or can it be R rated? It
- 44:38Speaker 2: can be r rated.
- 44:39Speaker 3: You just can't.
- 44:40Speaker 2: You know, there's no like nudity or sex or anything
- 44:42Speaker 2: like that. You can do whatever you want. Okay, you can't.
- 44:45Speaker 2: You can't manhandle yourself.
- 44:48Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, not on twitch.
- 44:50Speaker 6: I mean, but there are websites for that Treon.
- 44:52Speaker 2: That's Patreon's only. We're only fans only fans my free
- 44:58Speaker 2: can write down my Okay, okay, I got a side hustle.
- 45:03Speaker 2: I'm just thinking about a side hustle.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Oh that's a good side hustle.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Let's get back to the show. Donald. It's called The Scrubs.
- 45:09Speaker 2: It's one hundredth episode.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Patrick Bolton is a nurse.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Patrick Bolton our friend who's the set dresser. He is
- 45:19Speaker 2: a nurse. In the scene when when everyone's hiding from
- 45:24Speaker 2: from from Carla.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Right before she realizes she doesn't like kids. And then
- 45:29Speaker 1: one of my favorite scenes we've ever shot together comes up.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Oh the lesbian cloud.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Lesbian cloud.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Now I remember this being like made up on the day, right,
- 45:40Speaker 2: This wasn't in the script, was it.
- 45:42Speaker 11: No?
- 45:42Speaker 1: I think we're at the point where Bill's now writing
- 45:44Speaker 1: the script as we go along too, though I don't know.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I don't know that, I don't know.
- 45:50Speaker 2: I'm not saying I'm not saying that we came up
- 45:52Speaker 2: with it, but I'm saying I feel like I remember this.
- 45:53Speaker 2: There were different iterations of this joke, and I think
- 45:56Speaker 2: that the writers, by the we were playing with it
- 45:58Speaker 2: on set and it took a while, so we ended
- 46:01Speaker 2: up with what it what it became. But the milkshake
- 46:04Speaker 2: pool on the lesbian.
- 46:06Speaker 1: And if they write and if and and what was
- 46:08Speaker 1: that other thing? And if they and if they betray us?
- 46:11Speaker 1: They end up in the in hell watching the view.
- 46:14Speaker 2: Yeah, next to the unreachable cupcake table, right right, right right.
- 46:19Speaker 2: So in the second act of the show, after we've
- 46:21Speaker 2: all established that we the different things that the characters
- 46:24Speaker 2: want a Lah Wizard of Oz, it takes on a
- 46:27Speaker 2: more like bold Okay, we're officially in the world. So
- 46:30Speaker 2: the colors are all saturated, meant to like mimic the
- 46:33Speaker 2: vibe of Chechnicolor back in the day.
- 46:35Speaker 1: It's very bright.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it's right, And the costumes are more saturated. And
- 46:40Speaker 2: I think, you know, you know, Judy I remember is
- 46:42Speaker 2: in that like Hot Pink. I think everything was sort
- 46:45Speaker 2: of cranked up. It wasn't just in the coloring in
- 46:47Speaker 2: post production, but also in the in the costumes.
- 46:50Speaker 1: But you're still in a muted outfit except for your shoes. Eh.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm totally muted. I don't know why I chose
- 46:57Speaker 2: or Carrie chose me to be in like Brown, but
- 47:00Speaker 2: I am. Now, this body bag thing is really funny.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Okay, there's a few things wrong with the scene too,
- 47:07Speaker 1: and I didn't have to go to scrubs Wiki to
- 47:09Speaker 1: see the shit, right, I remember.
- 47:11Speaker 2: This obviously a foam fire extinguisher, and Johnny is clutching
- 47:15Speaker 2: it so tightly that you can see.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Its fig right, you can see him squeezing.
- 47:20Speaker 2: Well, he's nervously.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I was.
- 47:21Speaker 2: First of all, this is an example of how someone
- 47:23Speaker 2: directing and they're in the scene can fuck up, because
- 47:26Speaker 2: I mean a fucking body bag. I'm not exactly seeing that.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Johnny is nervously squeezing the fire extinguisher, which is just
- 47:34Speaker 2: a piece of foam. It looks really funny when you
- 47:36Speaker 2: rewatch it because he nails me with it, and then
- 47:39Speaker 2: of course we should have switched it out. But in
- 47:41Speaker 2: his close up he's like squeezing it like it's a pillow.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Yeah, Castle, Johnny Castle man.
- 47:48Speaker 2: That dialogue is so funny.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Dead people should remain dead.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Because I thought you were dead? Then why are you
- 47:54Speaker 2: hitting me? Because dead people should be dead?
- 47:59Speaker 1: Very funny scene.
- 48:00Speaker 2: And then the janitor needs an oil can, so I
- 48:02Speaker 2: guess he's sort of the tin man in this story.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Okay, so if he's the tin man, then what is Carla?
- 48:12Speaker 4: If she's like carl is the lion, because that's courage,
- 48:14Speaker 4: you should have been the man.
- 48:16Speaker 2: I guess you're the tin man. I guess you're the
- 48:18Speaker 2: tin man. It's just a he's just getting that jokey
- 48:20Speaker 2: line like give me the oil can, oil can. Yeah,
- 48:24Speaker 2: you need the heart now. Ray Bolger is the name
- 48:26Speaker 2: of the actor who played the scarecrow.
- 48:30Speaker 1: I'm so confused.
- 48:32Speaker 2: The character that's donating the heart is named Ray Boulger.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Right, which I give is the.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Name of the actor who played the scarecrow. Got it
- 48:42Speaker 2: because it's because if you're really paying attention, you have
- 48:46Speaker 2: that awesome scene with David Downs and you go, Okay,
- 48:49Speaker 2: what's his name? And he says Ray, and then it
- 48:52Speaker 2: becomes clear that his name is Ray Boulger.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Okay, But here's the thing. The scarecrow didn't need the heart.
- 48:58Speaker 1: The scarecrow needed the brain.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Then Elliot's the scarecrow, right because actually Cox even calls
- 49:06Speaker 2: her like your straw headed scarecrow self. Right, So Elliot's
- 49:11Speaker 2: the scarecrow because she needs brains.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Right.
- 49:15Speaker 2: The tin man needed a heart, that's me, and the
- 49:18Speaker 2: lion needed courage.
- 49:20Speaker 1: God's Carla, right, And and Jack is the wicked witch,
- 49:24Speaker 1: but so is Jordan.
- 49:27Speaker 2: No, Jack's a munchkin that turns green. Are there green
- 49:31Speaker 2: munchkins in The Wizard of Oz?
- 49:33Speaker 4: In the movie, a horse turns a different color because
- 49:35Speaker 4: the horse of a different color. That is the only
- 49:38Speaker 4: thing that really changes color in the movie.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Well, I don't know why. I I assumed there was
- 49:44Speaker 2: a munchkin who happened to be green because I didn't
- 49:46Speaker 2: understand why Jack was green.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Because he's the witch. He's the scary.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Jordani but he's mounting.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Yeah, well yeah, obviously that's that's that's meant to bring
- 49:58Speaker 1: up the witch. But I feel like because he's the
- 50:00Speaker 1: scary thing that Carl is afraid of, that that's the
- 50:04Speaker 1: you know what I mean? But you know that's me.
- 50:08Speaker 2: That's an interpretation. I guess he could be another witch.
- 50:10Speaker 2: There's multiple witches. By the way, we just to return
- 50:13Speaker 2: to the lips. Those are kudos to the makeup department.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Those that should look good. Those were just silicon. I
- 50:19Speaker 2: don't know what they were made of. Their by foam,
- 50:21Speaker 2: but the way that they glued them on it looked
- 50:24Speaker 2: so real. It really looked like she'd been stung by
- 50:26Speaker 2: a bee in her lips.
- 50:28Speaker 1: You know that shit, That shit Christa had me rolling.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Oh my god, her having to explain it all while
- 50:35Speaker 1: she's doing it, like she could be in the room
- 50:37Speaker 1: and just do it by herself and then let the
- 50:39Speaker 1: action do it. But every mistake she makes, she explains
- 50:43Speaker 1: it to the freaking audience. That shit had me rolling.
- 50:46Speaker 2: And the noises, the noises Krystals makes are so funny.
- 50:49Speaker 2: When she goes, oh, I can't even duplicate it, but
- 50:57Speaker 2: it's like that was really funny. How about when you
- 51:04Speaker 2: when you're right. So let's talk about the scene with
- 51:06Speaker 2: David Dowds. Your acting is so good in the scene.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Man, I appreciate it and thank you. Very very very
- 51:12Speaker 1: easy to act when you got a good director.
- 51:14Speaker 2: Yes, and a good scene partner because David, no doubt,
- 51:17Speaker 2: wonderful shit actor and a really good uh teacher, man,
- 51:21Speaker 2: great teacher and also just a wonderful man. Anyway, he goes, uh,
- 51:25Speaker 2: you go, oh, you can ask me anything, and you go,
- 51:26Speaker 2: do you shave your head because you like the way
- 51:29Speaker 2: it looks, or because you're going bald? And you just
- 51:30Speaker 2: go bald? How do you say one syllable? And it's
- 51:38Speaker 2: so funny you you like held it back and then
- 51:41Speaker 2: you're like ball, like you've never revealed that to another soul.
- 51:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you. I think it's all
- 51:52Speaker 1: of us working together. At this point. I was, uh,
- 51:56Speaker 1: you know, you look for new ways to say things,
- 51:59Speaker 1: and I was very brave at this point, and I
- 52:01Speaker 1: felt like I could say it this way and I
- 52:03Speaker 1: think I could get a laugh out of it. And
- 52:05Speaker 1: so you know, when you're you know, that's that's it's
- 52:10Speaker 1: not to make a big story out of a out
- 52:11Speaker 1: of one line, but that when I watched that. When
- 52:14Speaker 1: I watched that today, I was like, Wow, that was
- 52:16Speaker 1: a very interesting choice. How did I come up with
- 52:19Speaker 1: that choice? And my only explanation for it all is like,
- 52:22Speaker 1: at this point I was willing to try anything to
- 52:26Speaker 1: make people laugh.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Yeah, well it was a good choice. It reminded me.
- 52:29Speaker 2: Remember we were talking a long while while about Michael J.
- 52:31Speaker 2: Fox and his impeccable timing. It's like, if you take
- 52:34Speaker 2: the pause split seconds longer. I think one of the
- 52:38Speaker 2: things that's funny about it is there was like the
- 52:41Speaker 2: obvious amount of pause, and then you took a few
- 52:44Speaker 2: micro seconds longer, which and then and then really hit
- 52:48Speaker 2: the b hard I don't know, and your face. It
- 52:50Speaker 2: was all very very funny, and that scene is just
- 52:53Speaker 2: very moving and very simple.
- 52:55Speaker 1: And but even what he says though too, even how
- 52:59Speaker 1: he's says it, though, you know what I mean, why
- 53:01Speaker 1: are all these people doing this? Because if you, if
- 53:04Speaker 1: your son gives his if your son gives his heart,
- 53:07Speaker 1: we all whoever gets convinces you, gets to do the
- 53:10Speaker 1: operation right. And he says, you know, these people are
- 53:14Speaker 1: all these people all. I think it's something like I'm paraphrasing,
- 53:17Speaker 1: these people all want my son's heart, but they don't
- 53:20Speaker 1: even know his name. Yeah, and that just tells you
- 53:24Speaker 1: the disconnect that surgeons have really when you think about it,
- 53:27Speaker 1: from the people that they're operating.
- 53:29Speaker 2: Yeah, but then you do the Then you do a
- 53:31Speaker 2: very you say a very noble thing, and that you
- 53:33Speaker 2: could say, listen this, I'm gonna be blunt with you.
- 53:36Speaker 2: This is the right thing to do. This that your
- 53:38Speaker 2: child is not he's not going to make it, and
- 53:40Speaker 2: this heart will save someone who will make its life right.
- 53:44Speaker 2: And you can you can say you don't want me
- 53:45Speaker 2: on the surgery, but it is the right thing to do.
- 53:48Speaker 2: And I thought you were really good there. Thank you,
- 53:50Speaker 2: but I gave myself goosebumps describing your performance.
- 53:53Speaker 1: I love that. Thank you. But here's here's a here's
- 53:56Speaker 1: a question. Is that Turk's right to say that to
- 53:59Speaker 1: that man.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Well, he asked his opinion. I think I think it's
- 54:03Speaker 2: Turk's right to say what he if he's asked his opinion,
- 54:07Speaker 2: what he thinks is right. You know, you know you
- 54:10Speaker 2: should everyone. I want to remind everyone to read Amanda's book,
- 54:13Speaker 2: which has really stuck with me about Nick's passing and
- 54:16Speaker 2: the whole experience. It's called Live Your Life. You can
- 54:18Speaker 2: get it everywhere. There's an audiobook if you prefer to
- 54:21Speaker 2: listen to books. But there's a lot of doctors in
- 54:24Speaker 2: there giving their opinions. And part of the battle that
- 54:26Speaker 2: she had was they didn't often line up, and she'd
- 54:29Speaker 2: talk to one guy and he'd sit her down and
- 54:30Speaker 2: have a heart to heart and she'd be crying and go, okay, okay,
- 54:33Speaker 2: I got it, and then she'd go talk to someone else.
- 54:35Speaker 2: I'm like, what the hell's he talking about? Don't listen.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Don't listen to doctor Tim, you know, And she'd be
- 54:40Speaker 2: like so confused, you know, because it isn't it isn't
- 54:43Speaker 2: an exact science. It's there's definitely room for interpretation.
- 54:46Speaker 1: It's practice.
- 54:47Speaker 2: And of course, in this situation, when it's time to
- 54:51Speaker 2: give up and say, yes, now you can harvest my
- 54:55Speaker 2: my child's organs, I mean, who can say when that
- 54:58Speaker 2: time comes. But but Turk's and he had an opinion that,
- 55:01Speaker 2: you know, with or without him performing the surgery, that
- 55:03Speaker 2: it is it was time. It was the right thing
- 55:05Speaker 2: to do in terms of being able to save another
- 55:08Speaker 2: human beings.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Life right on?
- 55:11Speaker 2: How about still I love it when Bonds wins at
- 55:13Speaker 2: the game that he plays.
- 55:16Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't think Elliott knows who Barry
- 55:18Speaker 1: Bonds is either.
- 55:19Speaker 2: So Barry Bonds was, let me see how much I
- 55:21Speaker 2: got right. He was a very famous home run hitter,
- 55:24Speaker 2: and he had huge arms, and he would hit the
- 55:26Speaker 2: ball very far. And then it came out that he
- 55:29Speaker 2: was on steroids. Yes, and they kept him in the
- 55:32Speaker 2: in the Hall of Fame, but they just put an
- 55:34Speaker 2: asterisk next to his name.
- 55:36Speaker 1: He didn't make it to.
- 55:37Speaker 2: But on the record books they put an asterisk next
- 55:40Speaker 2: to his record.
- 55:41Speaker 1: His home run record. I don't know if they put
- 55:42Speaker 1: an asterisk next to it. All I know is at
- 55:44Speaker 1: the time he was doing it, everyone was doing it.
- 55:47Speaker 1: So it's not this is this is what this is
- 55:49Speaker 1: where a bullshit comes in.
- 55:50Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Most of major League Baseball at the time was doing steroids.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Most of major League baseball at the time. I'm not
- 56:00Speaker 1: saying anything that nobody's said before. Okay, the fact that
- 56:04Speaker 1: he's penalized for doing what everybody else was doing because
- 56:10Speaker 1: he did it better, is that why I don't I
- 56:11Speaker 1: don't get it.
- 56:12Speaker 2: It is a funny game to me. And again I
- 56:14Speaker 2: know nothing about it, but it seems like they're always
- 56:16Speaker 2: trying to catch cheating. Like there's this new thing I
- 56:19Speaker 2: read on the news where the pictures are just like
- 56:21Speaker 2: flagrantly putting shit on the ball. Yeah, and so now
- 56:24Speaker 2: they've made a rule where, like the Empires, the umpires
- 56:27Speaker 2: are now going to like more closely inspect their hats
- 56:30Speaker 2: and their shirts. And and my brother, who's obsessed with baseball,
- 56:34Speaker 2: was telling me like, yeah, they will. They will do
- 56:36Speaker 2: anything they can to sneak a little gunk on the
- 56:39Speaker 2: ball to fuck it up and make it too weird. Shit.
- 56:42Speaker 2: And I'm like, sweat, this game has so much secret
- 56:45Speaker 2: cheating in.
- 56:45Speaker 1: It, dude. Absolutely. You ever watch a picture and they,
- 56:49Speaker 1: you know, grab the tip of their hat where they
- 56:52Speaker 1: lick their finger or they rub their hair or whatever
- 56:55Speaker 1: it is. Man, this is these are ways to get
- 56:58Speaker 1: an advantage, because.
- 56:59Speaker 2: What about the guys who were putting We're only putting
- 57:01Speaker 2: cork in their bat or something.
- 57:02Speaker 1: That was a long time ago. Yeah, so it was
- 57:04Speaker 1: lighter and they could bring the bat around fast. Only
- 57:06Speaker 1: problem is the bat breaks when it's not solid, and
- 57:08Speaker 1: then you see that there's and you see there's cork inside.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so funny. Did you ever play baseball?
- 57:13Speaker 1: When I was a kid, I played a lot of
- 57:15Speaker 1: pal baseball. One year I got MVP of my PA
- 57:18Speaker 1: L team, me and my brother, Police Athletic League in
- 57:22Speaker 1: New York City. One year, me and my brother, we
- 57:26Speaker 1: were the home run hitters on our team. That's all
- 57:29Speaker 1: we hit was home runs. And I remember we made
- 57:31Speaker 1: it to the championship and I think we're playing like
- 57:34Speaker 1: another team from New York. We played a bunch of teams,
- 57:37Speaker 1: but we get to There was one year we were
- 57:39Speaker 1: really good and they jerked us. Man, they freaking bought
- 57:41Speaker 1: out a machine out of nowhere, and and we had funny.
- 57:45Speaker 2: I never heard of all the sports you love. You
- 57:46Speaker 2: don't talk about baseball much.
- 57:49Speaker 1: It's boring, man, it's boring to play, and it's boring
- 57:51Speaker 1: to watch. No disrespect to all my Major leaguers out there,
- 57:53Speaker 1: but that shit is, you know, unless you're up, or
- 57:56Speaker 1: unless the ball comes to you, or unless you're pitching
- 58:00Speaker 1: or catching, it's a lot of waiting and watching.
- 58:03Speaker 2: My father, my father rests in peace. He loved watching
- 58:07Speaker 2: the Mets. I mean love him. He would scream. He
- 58:10Speaker 2: would scream at them, and he would be so mad,
- 58:12Speaker 2: and he was just say to me, Zach, if there's
- 58:15Speaker 2: one thing in life that's certain, the Mets will always
- 58:19Speaker 2: let you down.
- 58:22Speaker 1: I don't know if that's true, dude.
- 58:24Speaker 2: You know, I never seen him happier than in nineteen
- 58:27Speaker 2: eighty six, but I remember, like I remember that being
- 58:32Speaker 2: like one of the happiest times of his life. There
- 58:35Speaker 2: are no Joel dies reported, there are no asterisks in
- 58:38Speaker 2: baseball stats, so he's in the record books. But most
- 58:41Speaker 2: people consider him a cheater and don't count his wins.
- 58:45Speaker 1: They just consider a lot of people cheaters. And if
- 58:47Speaker 1: that's the case, you know, I wonder I want no
- 58:50Speaker 1: disrespect to it, and no disrespect to all these major
- 58:52Speaker 1: League Baseball players out there that that did steroids, because
- 58:56Speaker 1: I'm you know, I know, I know why you did it,
- 58:59Speaker 1: to keep up with everybody else who.
- 59:01Speaker 2: Was doing it. But it's just like Lance Armstrong, like
- 59:04Speaker 2: he how many interviews did that guy say I'm not
- 59:06Speaker 2: doing anything, I'm not doing anything. I'm not doing anything,
- 59:08Speaker 2: and then it all came out that that was all
- 59:10Speaker 2: fucking lie.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Well, that's different. He was the only one doing this
- 59:13Speaker 1: ship though.
- 59:14Speaker 2: No, his whole team was no, everybody, everybody okay, So then.
- 59:21Speaker 1: It's just so. Then there it is. If everybody's doing it,
- 59:24Speaker 1: you can't fault Lance for doing it, then, can you.
- 59:26Speaker 1: All you could say is, dude, when you were in
- 59:28Speaker 1: those interviews, when you were in those interviews, when people
- 59:30Speaker 1: ask you, you lied, That's all you could really say.
- 59:33Speaker 4: I mean, what's the old thing if everyone jumped off
- 59:36Speaker 4: a bridge, would you do it?
- 59:37Speaker 3: You do it?
- 59:38Speaker 1: No? No, no, no, no, you jumped off. No, jumping
- 59:41Speaker 1: off a bridge is killing yourself. These guys are trying
- 59:44Speaker 1: to win money, dude, they're playing for money. If you
- 59:46Speaker 1: said to me, we're all jumping off a bridge for
- 59:49Speaker 1: a billion dollars, I'd be like, all right, I'll give
- 59:52Speaker 1: it a shot.
- 59:54Speaker 2: There's that great documentary, what was it called About a
- 59:57Speaker 2: Billion domes? Watch the documentary.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I saw an Acho's documentary. He's a dickhead. I saw
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: the shit. I saw a shit.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: But I'm telling our listeners to watch it because it's fascinating.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: It's one of those documentaries where it starts out being
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: about one thing and then the guy totally discovers something else.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: I love those kind of documentaries and it's about it's
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: about cycling and doping and everything.
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: Yes, all of this drug use and all of these
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: these things that people do are destructive to their bodies
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: over time for these small windows of creating like greatness
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: and sports is not worth it to destroy a human life.
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: And that's the angle we need to change because everybody's like,
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: why not just do it? Then, if everybody's doping, everybody
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: should do it. We're telling people to kill themselves faster
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: through sport for our entertainment.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Saying that, and that's what I'm saying. This is your call. Look,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: that's what you just said. I'm saying, this is your call.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: For a billion dollars. I can understand why you did
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: it for a million for that money, I understand why
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: you did it. Dude.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: I saw this meme that was like, let's just let
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: all these Olympic athletes take whatever drugs they want. Let's
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: see how fast somebody can find Let's see what goes.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Let's get there. You want to see You want to
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: see what's happening. You want to see the real deal,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: holy feel. You want to see what enhancements we could have.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: We're talking about wanting to meet bionic people. Let's go
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: all the way ahead, and but you do want to
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: get there.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: Speaking of drugs, I have to tell you that now
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: that marijuana is legal in Manhattan, you really don't smell anything.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: But we just it's just it's I passed a woman
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: in Union Square Park pulling a bong head. Yes it
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: was Freedom Donald.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Was there water in the bo.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Yeah, she was just in the middle of the park
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: pulling a bong head.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: It's hilarious. But you cannot It's just the constance. I'm
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: sure maybe it'll die down when the novelty's over. But
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: I've been here a few days and all you smell
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: outside is we.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: So I'm on a group chat with all my friends
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: from back home, and all of them when this thing dropped,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: We're all like, dude, this is the best day ever.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: All of them so excited to smoke weed.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: They're just walking down the street. People just walking on
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: the street like cigarettes. It's hilarious.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's New York, baby.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: We're smoking blunts before blunts everywhere.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: I know. I bet you white owls and freaking uh
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: and and Philly blunts and Swisher sweets have never been
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: more on the come up. As far as stocks go,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: than they have in this past few months since New York.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Way, It's it's really funny. And and yeah, anyway, you'll
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: see when you come here, you're gonna come visit me,
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: aren't you.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I hope, so I hope to bring the kids
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: to New York this year. Mom, Come on, my dude.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: It's tough. There's a lot of us, man.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: I know, you got to pay to fly a lot
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: of those kids.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: And and numbers are going right now.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, well, the only thing I can rationalize
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: for you is that La County is particularly horrible. You
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: can get the fuck out of there.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Well, it's not particular, it's not the worst in the nation.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: How about that?
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: No, I know, but it's pretty bad, right. Aren't they
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: going back to masts inside there?
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: And that they started that on Monday today?
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: All right, let's talk about that big epic end crane shot.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: This was really cool to do. Everyone, we know I
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: like to play with cranes, and you've got Sam's band
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: singing on the roof. And the idea was because it
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: because we had the luxury of being in a real
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: hospital that we could go crane down and see the
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: end of each story from the outside. It was an
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: enormous crane. It was calling Akila Crane, I believe, and
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: it wasn't even high enough. So they had to build
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: the construction built a platform and then we put the
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: crane base on top of the platform because in order
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: to reach Sam and the band on top of the roof.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: It wasn't even high enough at like whatever, it was
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: one hundred feet.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: And that's why the end shot is a high shot
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: of you walking out into the street and everything like that,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: right and not it doesn't come down.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Well well no, it does come down, but then I
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: wanted to go back up at the end of the rainbow.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: And the right, Okay, got it. But that I always
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: like when it's a crane shot and it turns into
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: a warner like.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: You mean they'd come off and it comes into a
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: steady cam shot.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Yeah, STEADI camp shot. Yeah, yeah, yah, yeah. I love that.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: There used to be a thing where like you would
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: dangle a steady cam operator off the end of a
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: crane and it's so dangerous, but they literally can see
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: videos of it on YouTube. They would like take a
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: crane up in the air, right, and then the guy
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: would be rigged, rigged, attached to the end, and then
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: the crane would come down and just seamlessly, they'd unhook
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: the dude and he'd start walking. And uh, that is
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: just it's crazy. But now with all the advent of
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: of of these new rigs that are just you know,
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: gimbals and they're remote heads that you can hold, so
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: now they do it. So that's on the crane. The
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: crane comes down and they unhook that. It's not a
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: human being crazy but anyway, Yeah, and you'll see Jack
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: looking at the crane because of course he's a child
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: and he's curious about the giant crane outside the window.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: But I thought that was a really cool shot and
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: I yeah, it was so sweet. Sam's band singing. That's
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: a Hawaiian singer's rendition of that. His name is iy Izzy. Yeah,
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: I forgot. I don't know how to say his last name.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys do, but it's like.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Yes, and that that his rendition is is one of
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: the most I mean, I mean, you can't you can't
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: hate on it. He goes into wonderful world and somewhere
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: over the rainbow in the same song, dude.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: Well that's our show. Is there a caller Joel? Yes, Well,
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: why don't we take a break and and come back
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: with empty bladders?
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: What I'm talking about.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: We'll be right back.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: And we're back.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: I'm on the Kelly and Ryan Show tomorrow.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Oh yay.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know if it airs tomorrow. I'm
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: taping it tomorrow.
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: Okay, okay, but soon we'll see on Kelly and Ryan.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you'll see ship.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: That's dope. What you doing on Kelly and Ryan?
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Bro Well, my movie, I think is getting pushed again
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: because every I'm so frustrated. But I was booked to
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: do it to promote Comeback Trail, my movie with Bobby
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: d and I think it's getting pushed again just because
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: everyone's jockeying for for Weekend Space because it has a
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: theatrical release. So so, but then then the movie got pushed.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: So I'm gonna talk about that. I'm obviously gonna plug
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: our amazing podcast. And what else am I going to
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: talk about?
- 1:06:34Speaker 11: Oh?
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: The nomination for about.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: To say you got a nice little chance at a statue.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: My life partner, Donald Faison. I win that. If I
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: win that, I'm gonna dedicate it to you. I'm not
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: gonna do else, but you know they will just so.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: You got you got so many other people to think
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: if you I'm happy with Donaldson.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: You know, it's funny. My whole life, your whole life,
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: if you're in the arts, you can't deny that you
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: thought about giving some great award speech, right And And
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: I was laughing at myself the other night because I
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: was like, what if I did win? What I say?
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: And I was like, wait, this is the first time
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: in my life where I can actually think about this,
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: because when I want a Grammy, there was no thought
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: in my mind I was ever gonna win that Grammy.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: I was up against Tarantino and I didn't. I wasn't.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: I didn't even think about what I would say.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Would you say when you won?
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: I don't remember. It was a blur.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: I think I can't even believe this.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: I think I was buzzed because Carrie Brothers and I
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: were at the bar, like we weren't even This wasn't
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: even It wasn't you know, it was part of the
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: section they don't put on the show. It was you know,
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: there's Grammys all day long. It's like Best Samba hip
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Hop Album, you know, like there's cizillion categories and and
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: I Carrie were there. I were there and we got
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: not drunk, but we were buzzed. And then I won,
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: and I was like, I just be Tarantino, like I
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: have nothing prepared to say, and I don't know, but
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: this time I at least thought like I should probably, like,
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: in case I win, think of something to say.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: I think so too. Speaking of samba hip hop albums, dude,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: let me tell you something right now. That bad Bunny
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: got me going. Dude, and I only understand one word,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: he says, I only understand one word he said. One phrase,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: He says, el cool of phenomenon. That's my favorite line
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: I've ever heard in my life. El cool phenomenon. Baby,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: that ship is fire. Dude.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: There's a show that I recommend that you'll like.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: El cool Phenomenon.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: I think it's called This is Pop?
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Is that it?
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Joelle? On Netflix?
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: On Netflix?
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, on Netflix?
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: The new documentary Oh my god.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Donald, I have not, but I've heard it for t Pain.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: He went into a four year depression because Usher told
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: him that he ruined music with the with the what
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: do you call it? The vocal box?
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Everybody autoo, everybody kind of dist them. Freaking jay z
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: dysed them. He told all of the rappersdiculous, get back
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: to rapping. U t paining too much?
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: But you need it so good, so rude.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Everybody doesn't. Now everybody does.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: When you watch this documentary, which Tonald you really should watch,
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: you'll love it. The first episode is about boys to men,
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: and I didn't realize how quick their downfall was once
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: all the white boy bands came out.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: So dude, that was for everybody though. And the crazy
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: thing is that a lot of people don't give props
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: to the people that bought them, like some people, like
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: the one person that I feel like deserves all the
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: props in the world. When it comes to all these
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: girls that are out right now from when I was
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: a kid, from when I was from like ninety six,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: I think Brandy, Dude, Brandy fucking every song you hear
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: right now is an incarnation of what she's what she
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: did back in the day. It's crazy. You know who
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: else is like that? And nobody bought his record before
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: his time. Craig David another one, dude, everybody everybody was
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: doing his music ten years later, doing his style ten
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: years later. It's just it's really interesting. It's just I'm
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: just saying it's really interesting. A lot of people you.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Should watch the dog watch the documentary the first the
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: first episodes about how Boys to Men became so huge
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: and they were killing it, and then then they started
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: figure out like whoa, what if we just made them
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: like pretty white boys who could sing, Like would that
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: be bigger? And then it was and then those guys,
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: like those guys lost everything and like they're playing the
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: Vegas now.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: It goes over, it goes over and over again with
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: everything new addition was the dopest boy band in the
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: world to me what they do. They came out with
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: new Kids on the Block Jodice and freaking Boys to
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Men were the dopest. They came out with ninety eight
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: degrees and freaking Backstreet Boys and then sinking Old Town
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: and freaking the rest of the boy bend.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: Yeah. The only one that's interviewed, by the way is
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: Nick La, which which is great. He's very he's very
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: sweetened in it, but but he's he's very mention in it.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: But that's like, you guys couldn't get anybody else that
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: can do this besides Nick, They don't interview any other
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: boy band members. They don't want to admit to that.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: And then boys to men, at least Boys to Men
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: is like the one one one member is ostracized. They
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: don't talk to him. They had a falling out. So
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: in the Vegas show, it's only three of them.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Three of them the base. I thought he got I
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: thought he was injured. I thought that was the reason.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: No, there's like they they're kind of cryptic about it,
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: but they don't. They don't like him.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: No, mo, It's like Bobby Brown a new addition. Y'all
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: don't know about that ship. Y'all don't know why Johnny
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Gil joined new edition. Y'all don't know that. Y'all don't know, right,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: I do? Because and no wrap by little is that
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: what you put on the comedy down? And no wrap
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: by little when you.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: Get when you get worked up, I do the the clouds.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: Because because automaticy like, I'm sticking tired of this, I'm
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: wrapped up a little over me.
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: All right, let's bring in the caller, please, guys, we
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: gotta come.
- 1:12:16Speaker 12: You can talk to show, you know, like a ball
- 1:12:19Speaker 12: of smoke. Some maybe talking about the episode. So come on,
- 1:12:26Speaker 12: let's get the show.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Give it up for Jared.
- 1:12:31Speaker 11: Come on, it has been a dream of none to
- 1:12:39Speaker 11: hear the Oprah voice say my name.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: Oh well, it just happened, Jared, It happened.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: It's been It's been a dream of mine for Oprah
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: to say my name too.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Jared, it's probably been a dream of yours to be
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: on the show and hear some of these pad sounds like.
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: You honor me, You honor me?
- 1:12:56Speaker 11: Yes, absolutely, Jared.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: You're our very first guest since I moved to New York,
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: and the show has a has a lively feeling. This
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: is the one hundredth episode of Scrubs.
- 1:13:06Speaker 11: Oh wow, I am honored to be on the hundredth episode.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: That's you honor me, You honor You're not on one
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: hundredth episode of the podcast. You're on one hundredth episode
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: of Scrubs.

- 1:13:20Speaker 2: that's the one we're talking about today. And you have
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: an eagle shirt on, which looks very dapper on you.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: I'm riding. I'm riding, Donald, Where are you calling from?
- 1:13:31Speaker 11: I'm calling from Indianapolis, Indiana, Indiana.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: You rock.

- 1:13:47Speaker 1: I was in na I've been in nap before.
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: They got sweet dunes there dunes. Yeah, they're like little
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: sand hills, but they're big but not mountainous.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: But Indianapolis. What is in the Napolis known for other
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: than the five hundred?
- 1:14:02Speaker 11: Pretty much of that?
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Okay?
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: Jackson five, okay, and the Jackson five.
- 1:14:08Speaker 11: They're from Northeast Indiana, Gary Indiana, Gary Indiana.

- 1:14:19Speaker 1: So there you go. Indiana's known for the music Man too.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: Well, that's that's Gary, not Indianapolis.

- 1:14:42Speaker 11: I'm on the computer?
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: What's the job?
- 1:14:44Speaker 11: I'm an accountant at a luxury apartment developer.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: Okay, do you like the job thus far?
- 1:14:52Speaker 11: Yeah? Today was mostly just you know, training stuff, But
- 1:14:55Speaker 11: I've worked in the industry before. So, yeah, I think
- 1:14:58Speaker 11: I'm gonna.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: Like it was.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Did you meet the asshole?
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: Yet?
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: There's always an asshole?
- 1:15:03Speaker 11: Um? Not yet? Does that mean I'm the asshole?
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: No? No, I can tell you're not an asshole. But
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: there's gonna be a day this week where you where
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: you're gonna think of me and you're gonna go, oh,

- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Why did you go? Jam from the office.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm just the first name that came
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: to my head.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Jan from the office that automatically makes you say, from the.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: Jan who thinks I'm stealing her fucking oatmeal out of
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: the fridge. I don't want your fucking oatmeal.
- 1:15:33Speaker 11: Jam, somebody's probably just toss it in the trash.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: Yeah, calm down, all right, So do you have a question?
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: First, Jack, nobody drank your diet coke chain.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Yeah, calm the fuck down, Jan, I'm not flucking tampons
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: in the toilet, Jared, What are you supposed to do?
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: If you're not supposed to flush feminine products down the toilet,
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: what are you supposed to do?
- 1:16:00Speaker 11: That's not my area of expertise.
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: Joelle the trash.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: You gotta wrap them.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: Unt but feminine products. Okay, But I see all the time,
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: all the time, I see do not flush your feminine products,
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: And I'm going, okay, what are these women doing with them?
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: I know they're going in the garbage, but do you
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: wrap it around a bunch of times?
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: That is the polite way to do it. That is,
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: that is if you have etiquette training at all, that
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: is what you do.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: Now, there's such a problem with women. Are women do
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: not flush these things? Everyone's trying to tell you. It's
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: become such a pro Oh god, he's gonna get Casey
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: to talk about this. At least we're gonna get to
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: hear her song, which is amazing.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Why did you call me in here so.
- 1:16:49Speaker 11: I'm excited to meet the whole day?
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: Well, did you call Casey just because you want to
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: hear her theme song?
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: No? I didn't call Casey.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: Oh okay, I thought you. No, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Oh my god, damn. You don't need to hear from
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: Casey about how she throws away her tampons. But I
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: just think that this is clearly a big problem in
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: this country because everyone has to label their toilet why
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: are you making that face downel?
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: What?
- 1:17:20Speaker 6: It just surprises me that this is a mystery.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: I'm just it surprises me that they have to put
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: up so much signage to continually tell women please don't
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: flush them there. And I'm here doing a public service
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: announcement for Earth.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Hi, Casey, Casey, come down here. I don't know nothing
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: about raising theols, so tell me what to do raising
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: these kids.
- 1:17:51Speaker 11: And that's what it is.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: It's an embarrassing reason that Donald has called you in shocking.
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: We want to talk about why how to properly get
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: rid of a tampon?
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: Because I'm sorry.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: I come down here, so tell me what to do. Jared,
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: you haven't heard that yet. That's that's our new Casey
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: theme song that hasn't aired yet.
- 1:18:22Speaker 11: What Casey's gonna think I'm the reason why this question?
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: No, yeah, Casey has not with Jared. Not Jared.
- 1:18:28Speaker 13: Okay, Jared, are you trying to learn how to take
- 1:18:30Speaker 13: it out of someone?
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Casey? Jared accidentally put a tampon in his butt and
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: he doesn't know how to get it out?
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: No, Casey, listen, I'm really asking because I'm in New
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: York City and every public toilet or every restaurant toilet
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: has a sign baking people, please do not flush your tampons.
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: And I'm finally asking, as a man who knows nothing
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: about this, why are so many women doing this? And
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: what's the correct way? You wrap it up in toilet
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: paper and then put it in the garbage.
- 1:19:03Speaker 13: Yes, that's what you're supposed to do, but sometimes people
- 1:19:06Speaker 13: are lazy. And I'll be honest, touching those little the
- 1:19:09Speaker 13: trash can in the bathroom is it's the time where
- 1:19:13Speaker 13: you have to push it to open, and who wants
- 1:19:16Speaker 13: to touch that after you know everybody's bloody tampon has
- 1:19:20Speaker 13: gone in.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: There, right right?
- 1:19:22Speaker 7: Think about it? So you got to you know what,
- 1:19:25Speaker 7: I wrap it up. This is so gross.
- 1:19:28Speaker 13: I wrap it up and then I use my foot
- 1:19:31Speaker 13: and I kick the.
- 1:19:32Speaker 7: Door open, and then I throw it in there. And
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: if I miss, I miss.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: You don't.
- 1:19:39Speaker 7: No, I'll pick it up sometimes.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: Ladies, you're hearing it.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: That would make the women's bathroom dirty, and in the
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: men's bathroom, of course I pick it up.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: So gross. Why can't men piss in a journal? Why
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: does it piss everywhere?
- 1:19:55Speaker 7: Exactly fair? It doesn't even have to be a jurnal.
- 1:19:59Speaker 7: Come look at one of my bathroo terms in my house,
- 1:20:01Speaker 7: do you.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: Know if you know, we don't know if we talked
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: about this before, but in the in urinals these days,
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: they put a little target for men because if there's
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: a little something to aim at. Sometimes it's a fly,
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: pretend fly or something. But if they give men a
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: little something to aim at, then they're they're they're less
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: likely to splatter me.
- 1:20:18Speaker 7: Maybe they need to put a vagina on it.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Oh ship, here's Jesus's my wife?
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: Y'all that every time, Jared, I'm sorry to hear this. Good,
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: then you're not broadcasting the alert whole office on your
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: first day.
- 1:20:36Speaker 11: No, I'm in a conference room.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: There's a restaurant called Craigs in l A and they
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: did something I've never seen before. When you're standing at
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: the urinal, you're on a great already as you're standing there,
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: and so any spillage or splatter goes into the great
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: down into a drain.
- 1:20:55Speaker 7: That's great, that's smart.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: Okay, I don't understand because that's just happened to me
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: several times. Now, What the fuck happens on an airplane
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: that people just lose all etiquette and decide to freaking
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: destroy the airplane bathroom. Can you answer that, Jared, Jared Campbell,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: can you answer that question?
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: You have to pooh, let your pooh out before you
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: get on the plane yard the plane is.
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: Not How does Jared know everything about all this?
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: He's just he's a specialist in this area. We brought him.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: We brought him on because he's a specialist in public
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: urination and poop.
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: Oh, Jared, I'm sorry, Jared.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: All Right, we gotta get back on top of you,
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: gotta get out.
- 1:21:37Speaker 13: I'll tell you about the bathroom the first day airplane.
- 1:21:39Speaker 13: It's because no one wants to touch anything, so they're
- 1:21:41Speaker 13: all trying to pee.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: And poo us seeing ship like all on the back
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: of the thing.
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: Because they're not sitting, people explode, try and get horrible aim.
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: That's the public anouncement is trying pooh before you take
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: the plane ride. Okay, Sorry, Ared? I saw you hear
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: that w.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: Tank for ever? All right, whatever, forever, forever ever, go ahead.
- 1:22:06Speaker 11: Ar So my question is mostly for you. Zach'd be funny.
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: It was like, why do women just kidding? Go ahead?
- 1:22:14Speaker 11: I do have a question for you made him?
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: You made him do or do not, there is no try.
- 1:22:22Speaker 11: What are the challenges of directing something that maybe has
- 1:22:26Speaker 11: heavy CGI or a lot of editing when there's so
- 1:22:30Speaker 11: much unseen for the actors.
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: Well, that's a very good question. I haven't done a
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: ton of it. I've only done some of it. I
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: haven't done a c G I effect things.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: So Donald I did a whole I did a whole
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: movie that was all CGI except for the actors in
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: the apartment building we were in that not a lot
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: of people saw. It was called Skyline and uh, and
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: it's if you've got a great imagination, it's a lot
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: of fun and easy to do. If you don't have
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: a great imagination, I imagine it's very difficult. And you know,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: it really does.
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: It really does bring you back to the most base
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: element of when you're a child and you're just pretending
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: and you get on something and go it's I just
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: saw two kids playing in the park and they were
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: like literally sitting on the railing and one kid goes, no,
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: I'm in the front seat, and in their minds they
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: were on a motorcycle or a car whatever. It really
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: just brings you back to that just pure imagination and
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: of a director going that is a volcano that's erupting,
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: and you're looking at and you're literally looking at a
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: piece of tape, and you just have to really sell
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: it and and go for it and really just throw
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: yourself out there because you're not looking at anything. Occasionally
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: they'll show you drawings or previos. They can say like,
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: this is what it's the spirit, Like this drawing is
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: like the spirit of what that thing is going to
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: look like, or that monster is going to look like,
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: or whatever it is, so you can at least have
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: a thought in your mind of of of what it is.
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: A lot of times, unless it's a CGI movie, it's
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: not stuff you need to worry about. It could be
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: like you're in a moving car, who cares what's happening
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: on the street, But you know, it is challenging. I'm
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: sure when it's you know, Donald did that Skyline movie
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: with monsters, and you certainly weren't looking at any monsters.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: No, there was. We were looking at like when you
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: know they used light to to abduct humans, and I
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: remember we had no idea what they were going to
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: look like. They showed us at the audition what one
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: thing would look like, and when we were shooting it,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: I had no clue. You know, I'm gonna be honest
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: with you. Making that movie. It was a lot of fun,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: but it was because we literally had no idea what
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: it was going to look like when it was done.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: And so me, I personally, I think that's uh. I
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: think as far as uh special effects go, I love
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: the movie. I think everybody should go out there and
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: watch it. Skyline shout out to boy Donald Fraison. But uh,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: for for for the for the most part, it's uh,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: it's it's when it's done well, it's all worth it.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: When it's not done well at the end, you're like, man,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: and what was I doing?
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: But I mean, just for example, we just all saw
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: Black Widow and I was just blown away by how
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: seamless it all looked.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: And yeah, that's a.
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: Lot of a lot of times you watch movies and
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: you're like, Okay, I'm going along for the ride. That
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: doesn't look anything close to real, but I'm in the
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: I'm in the world of the movie and I'm enjoying it.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: And I thought that that that looked really fucking incredible.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it's when you can do when you can get
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: away with stuff and it looks simple and easy. That's
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: when the CG is amazing, you know what I mean. Like,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: I wouldn't have considered Black Widow a CG movie, but
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: after watching it like four or five times.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: Now you've watched it four or five times.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Yeah, there's so much. There's so much CG in that movie.
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and your kids love it.
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: They've not really watched it. They've watched some of it.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: They're like, there it goes. They go, there it goes. Flow.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: They love seeing flow, but you can.
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: They can see it. Just skipped the beginning part where.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: They go, how come Flow doesn't have an Italian accident anymore?
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: In Black Widow?
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: Why did she have any?
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Because they can for an Italian accident.
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: That's fine, all right, Joy, what's your next question?
- 1:26:20Speaker 11: Well, I was gonna ask Joelle, do we want to
- 1:26:22Speaker 11: tell the story?
- 1:26:25Speaker 7: You can tell the story?
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: Tell the story? Then?
- 1:26:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:26:28Speaker 11: There was the reason she reached out to me. Was
- 1:26:31Speaker 11: I actually pulled the soup shower prank in college?
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: Wow, you.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Are an evil, evil man, dude.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: Did it work?
- 1:26:45Speaker 11: It did work, not as well as in the show.
- 1:26:48Speaker 11: But so we have a my fraternrier in college, we.
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: Had what was the fraternity which one was it?
- 1:26:55Speaker 11: Fi Delta theta Okay, Neil Armstrong, Burt Reynolds. I actually
- 1:27:01Speaker 11: lived in Neil Armstrong's room at Perdue University.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 1:27:04Speaker 11: Coolhi, well, that's very cool. But anyways, the third floor
- 1:27:10Speaker 11: had a communal shower that only one person would use
- 1:27:12Speaker 11: at a time. But it was like six shower heads
- 1:27:15Speaker 11: in a square room.
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: How do you how do you how do you delineate? Like,
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: there's six shower heads, but we don't feel comfortable being naked,
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: So I'm going to shower alone. No one come in.
- 1:27:25Speaker 11: If you heard the shower running, you just.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: Oh, okay, okay.
- 1:27:28Speaker 11: Yeah. So I put the view on cues on all
- 1:27:33Speaker 11: six shower heads and just waited for somebody to go
- 1:27:37Speaker 11: in and kind of waited in a room across the hall,
- 1:27:40Speaker 11: and I just kind of hear him turn on one
- 1:27:42Speaker 11: at a time, and he's like, what the hell is
- 1:27:44Speaker 11: going on? So I was like chicken in here, and
- 1:27:49Speaker 11: you know, I kind of just waited for him to
- 1:27:51Speaker 11: turn one on, then off, and move on to the
- 1:27:53Speaker 11: next one. By the end of it, he just kind
- 1:27:56Speaker 11: of said, screw it. I guess I'm showering and water
- 1:27:58Speaker 11: that smells like chicken and then he just comes out
- 1:28:02Speaker 11: across the hall after he's done, and he's like, I
- 1:28:05Speaker 11: think there's something wrong with our showers, with our water,
- 1:28:09Speaker 11: and I'm trying to keep it together. But I eventually
- 1:28:11Speaker 11: told him you know what I did and where it
- 1:28:14Speaker 11: came from, and he got a good laugh out of it.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question, did you get you
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: got this from watching Scrubs? Then?
- 1:28:21Speaker 11: Yes, of course I didn't get my who's just crazy
- 1:28:24Speaker 11: response that.
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: I'm talking for. Did he come up to you and
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: say a burn?
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: No?
- 1:28:32Speaker 11: I don't think he really cared too much.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: But yeah, he's like, oh, that's great, good job Scrubs.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: Can you take the cues out of the shower now?
- 1:28:41Speaker 11: Like turned into a paste? Afterwards, I pretty much just
- 1:28:43Speaker 11: had to let the showers run for like two hours.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't it right, tried and I'm sorry. I'm
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: sorry to you.
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm sorry we failed you.
- 1:28:56Speaker 11: Yeah, that's okay, it was worth it.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: Let's take a break.
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: We'll be right back after these fine words. Jared, it
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: is time for Indianapolis's favorite segment. It's time for.
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: It's time it'll owe me.
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: It's time to fix your lie, said how can we
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: rescue you from whatever ails you.
- 1:29:26Speaker 11: Well, I don't have anything super specific, but I did
- 1:29:31Speaker 11: just get married two months ago.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: Congratulations, Thank you.
- 1:29:36Speaker 11: Just kind of entering into a new realm of my
- 1:29:40Speaker 11: relationship and just wanted to get your advice on that.
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: Okay, Donald has been married before, and he's a specialist.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: He's the only married one here. Although Daniel could soon
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: be falling.
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: You gotta stop saying that. Why what I'm talking about,
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: because you're putting a lot of pressure on me.
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: Well, she doesn't listen to the show.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: That does not stop the Internet from them being like, so.
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: What's good Daniel?
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: Yeah, what's good? Hey, guys, if you listen to it,
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: if you watch his twitch stream, be like Daniel when
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: he propos, she participates in the twitch stream.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: Perfect, even better, give him better, give him better.
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: Like Daniel, if you propose, now, I'll drop a Hundi
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: on this.
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what you do. Anybody out there who got
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: real dough. Yeah, get on that twitch with DJ danel.
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and make it rain.
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: And make it rain. If he proposes in front of you,
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: when I say make it rain, make it rain, baby,
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: make it rain.
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: Yeah, don't make it ring with twenties, bring out them
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: hundis all right? Sorry, Jared Donald, give him advice. You've
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: been through this marriage thing.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: I have no advice yet. I don't know what the
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: question is.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: He said, he wants to he just got married, and
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: he tips on being a newly married man.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: Enjoy that. Shit. Man, you're in the fun stage right now.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: It's been a couple of weeks. A couple of months,
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: you said, yeah, two months. Yeah. You guys probably having
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: a lot of sex, aren't you.
- 1:30:57Speaker 11: Yes, Well, my parents are gonna listen to this, probably later.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: But you're a grown ass man. You married, don't.
- 1:31:05Speaker 11: Still just a little bit of a embarrassment.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: But you don't have to answer that, Donald, but I can.
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: I think it's safe to say if they're newly wents,
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: there is copulation.
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: Right, So that being said, enjoy that because in a
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: few years it ain't gonna be every day. That's all
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: Okay, anything other than sex, you'd like to advise him
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: on top?
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: I thought that's what he was asking about.
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: What about the expression wife happy life?
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: Oh that's true. All of it's true. Every little anecdote
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: you heard or cliche you've heard is most likely true.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: When it comes to marriage, it's the hardest thing you'll
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: ever do. It's the most fun you'll ever have. But
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know. I don't know what
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: the advice would would be. You're newly married. You guys
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: are in a great state right now. Try and keep
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: it fresh the whole time till you die, as long.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: As you say, I far be it from me to
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: give advice because I'm not married, But I think, don't
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: be afraid to work on it while it's good, you know, Mike, Yes,
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: I have a stepmother who's a marriage counselor you've heard
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: me say. My parents are psychologists, and of course I
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: have a therapist, and they all say like, don't be afraid,
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: and they encourage people now while it's good, work on
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: communication skills. And you know, if someone you know who
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: has a great relationship book and how to keep it
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: getting the love you want is one my therapist, I
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: know he always pitches to people. But so that's what
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: I've heard a lot is like, don't wait until like
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: shit goes off the rails and you're like, now we
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: need therapy, Like work on it actively in the beginning,
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: so that you have a tool set like when shit
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: does come up, that you can fight in a kind
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: way if you will. You have a way of communicating
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: that's that's not mean, and it's not as hurtful as
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: it needs to be. And because obviously disagreements are going
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: to come up, it's just like a normal relationship you've
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: been in that wasn't marriage, but now you've committed to
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: each other for life. So I would really encourage you
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: to develop skill sets that for communication that that don't
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: make it everything become a tenor alarm fire. You know, Daniel,
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: you're in a successful relationship, you don't get married. Can
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: you give them any advice?
- 1:33:23Speaker 6: I echo that sentiment entirely. Make sure that you work
- 1:33:26Speaker 6: on everything. Don't let anything hang over your head, don't
- 1:33:29Speaker 6: let anything stew. Intrusive thoughts are purely that, they're not real,
- 1:33:33Speaker 6: they're just in your head. Just talk to your partner
- 1:33:35Speaker 6: about everything.
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and be vulnerable. You know, I think a lot
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: of men are like, oh, I don't want to seem
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: insecure or I don't want to seem weak.
- 1:33:44Speaker 13: You know.
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: I think it's really really good to just be like, hey,
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: this thing is bothering me and I'm in my head
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: about it and can we just talk about it. I
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: think that that's very.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: Smart, Chared, Jared, you get one good cry and that
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: I one, and then after that, Yeah, that's what you
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: get one good cry, he's trying to be funny. And
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: then after that it's unnecessary. So I'm just saying, right now,
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: save that cry for when you really need.
- 1:34:10Speaker 2: It's like, now, this is like the devil on one
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: side and the angel on the other. He's like, you
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: can only manipulate your wife with one good cry. Now,
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: I'm saying after.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: That, after that, after that.
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: I just want to animate, baby. I just want to
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: animate in the garage. Baby, Please just lend me animate
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: in the garage with rebels on in the background. Please
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: mabe all right, Jared, I hope we help you getting
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: the love you want. That's the book I think you
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: should you should get because I've heard that that's good.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: I think that's good for talking it out and communication,
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: anything you can do to communicate better and be honest.
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: I think it's great.
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: Well you can say yeah, honestly, honestly is true? Key,
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Obviously, how long you guys,
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: how long were you guys dated before you got married?
- 1:35:06Speaker 11: We've been together. It'll be five years in a couple
- 1:35:09Speaker 11: of months. But we were supposed to be married last
- 1:35:12Speaker 11: July and then COVID COVID.
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: So you guys have been together for five years. So
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: you guys know each other very very well, so there
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: shouldn't be too many surprises at this point.
- 1:35:22Speaker 11: You know, we actually, I mean we lived together for
- 1:35:24Speaker 11: two years plus.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: Now you already did it the right way. But you
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: already did it the right way because you know for
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: a fact this is the person you want to be with.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: You got a new job, Jared. Things are going your way.
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: This is a good this is a good time for you.
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: It's a good time to be Jared. Yeah, so be
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: present and grateful and uh and happy that things are
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: going so well because I am happy for you. And
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: you can stay on because we finished the show. This
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: was the one hundredth episode of Scrubs. Yes, Jared, can
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: I give a quick shout out? Yes?
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: No, you may not know no, let who every Okay,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: shout whoever you want to shout out.
- 1:36:02Speaker 11: I need to shout out my lifelong best friend. He
- 1:36:04Speaker 11: was the best man of my wedding. Mike McBride he's
- 1:36:06Speaker 11: the one that got me the shirt as a wedding president.
- 1:36:08Speaker 11: He also, Mike should have showed you this earlier.
- 1:36:10Speaker 10: I have.
- 1:36:15Speaker 11: Buhammad's episodes.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: Shout out Mike McBride.
- 1:36:19Speaker 11: Mike, he is in Germany right now, studying abroad. I
- 1:36:23Speaker 11: wish you could be here next to me on this
- 1:36:25Speaker 11: podcast because him and I, you know, watched Scrubs for
- 1:36:29Speaker 11: forever together. And yeah, he's gonna be really jealous when
- 1:36:33Speaker 11: he sees me on here.
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: Oh well, I'm glad you're on, and I'm glad Mike's
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: uh gave you all those good Scrubs.
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: Toy really nice gifts. I think you for getting one
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: other person that you need to shout out, Jared, I'm going.
- 1:36:44Speaker 11: You need to shout out my wife.
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:36:48Speaker 11: I think that she's actually a nurse. So uh, I
- 1:36:52Speaker 11: guess Scrubs maybe led me to marry somebody in the
- 1:36:56Speaker 11: medical field.
- 1:36:57Speaker 2: You found her on Carlo, you found.
- 1:37:00Speaker 11: She's very much like Carla too. That Oh she'll bust
- 1:37:05Speaker 11: anybody's chops for sure.
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: Good well, Jared, thank you for coming on, and thank
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: you for the kind words, and thank you all for listening. Joel,
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: is there anything you want to say?
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: You were great.
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: Uh are you asking about marriage and relationships.
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: That I'm giving you? Is there anything you want to
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: say to the listeners around the globe?
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: Well, we say bye bye. I don't know.
- 1:37:30Speaker 4: Support Zach and his Emmy nomination. If you have control
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: over an Emmy voter, let him know. Zach is the
- 1:37:35Speaker 4: only way to vote. He needs it, We need it.
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: You're a good friend.
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: Good friend, Joel. All right, we love you?
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: And uh do you want to ask Daniel if you
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: want to say anything?
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: Daniel, do you want to promote your your twitch stream?
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: Come on, tell them what you gotta do Sunday and.
- 1:37:50Speaker 6: Yes, I will work for you.
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: He might even propose if you make it rain hot enough.
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: Ye me and Lamar.
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: It can't be no light drizzle. It has to be
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: a freaking thunderstorm for him to do the proposal.
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: I guess, by the way, Daniel, that would be a
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: great way since you're since your gal doesn't listen to
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: the podcast, that would be a great way for you
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: to propose, and somehow Donald and I can be involved
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: that way. I think you should propose live on Twitch.
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: I'll keep that in mind when if, and when I
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: know you have a brow. I'm not if maybe it's
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: ten years from now, they might not even have a
- 1:38:24Speaker 2: twitch anymore. But it would be fun. Donald's, I want
- 1:38:28Speaker 2: to get an only fans with you and.
