- 2:56practices claim to improve the efficiency of
- 2:59radiologists, and in some cases, better diagnose
- 3:02patients using artificial intelligence. Here
- 3:06and now's Indira Lakshmanan speaks with Katie
- 3:08Palmer, a health tech reporter with our editorial
- 3:11partner, SteA -Kit. about how artificial intelligence
- 3:15is impacting the field of radiology. The segment
- 3:19aired on September 30th, 2026. Now onto sports.
- 3:30Tonight on Thursday Night Football, the Pittsburgh
- 3:33Steelers head to Huntington Bank Field to face
- 3:36the Cleveland Browns, both teams sitting at 2
- 3:39-1 in an early AFC North measuring stick. Kickoff
- 3:44is 8 .15 Eastern on Prime Video. Aaron Rodgers
- 3:49has been the story in Pittsburgh, counting off
- 3:51three touchdown passes and nearly 300 yards through
- 3:55the air in a win over Joe Burrow, with a retooled
- 3:58offensive line opening things up for Jalen Morin
- 4:01on the ground. Cleveland's turnaround has been
- 4:04quieter, but just as real. Deshaun Watson has
- 4:09thrown for 382 yards with four touchdowns and
- 4:13no interceptions over his last two outings, adding
- 4:16over 100 yards rushing. Cleveland's line is banged
- 4:20up, with guard Alton Jenkins questionable against
- 4:24a Pittsburgh pass rush that has troubled quarterbacks
- 4:27all season. An early divisional tiebreaker is
- 4:31on the line. In local sports, the Red Sox season
- 4:36is over. The Yankees beat them 9 -2 at Yankee
- 4:40Stadium, sweeping the wild -card series two games
- 4:44to none. Sunny Gray took the loss. Wilson Contreras
- 4:50and Nick Sogard each homered, but Boston scored
- 4:53just two runs all series. Now come the off -season
- 4:56questions. Roman Anthony's hand and wrist are
- 5:00the biggest one. The lineup finished September,
- 5:04last in the majors and batting average. And a
- 5:07lockout is widely expected to stretch out the
- 5:10winter. Meanwhile, Mike Frable and Drake May
- 5:14are shutting down Rift Talk after a WEEI report.
- 5:18Vrabel said, I'm here because Drake was the quarterback.
- 5:23May says there's no divide and his shoulder isn't
- 5:26an issue. The Patriots are one and two after
- 5:30a 35 to six loss at Jacksonville, and May has
- 5:34seven turnovers through three games. The Bills,
- 5:38a perfect three and O, come to Foxborough Sunday
- 5:41afternoon. On the ice, the Bruins play their
- 5:45first road game tomorrow night at Winnipeg eight
- 5:48o 'clock. New captain David Pasternak is the
- 5:52one to watch, and goaltending will decide it.
- 5:57In top news, tropical weather that surged onshore
- 6:01from the Pacific soaked more of the U .S. on
- 6:04Wednesday, while forecasters announced yet another
- 6:07hurricane off the coast of Mexico. This new hurricane,
- 6:11Rachel, is expected to develop rapidly and could
- 6:14become a major storm with sustained winds topping
- 6:17111 miles per hour. Parts of New Mexico looked
- 6:22less like the months of drought that dried up
- 6:25reservoirs and caused bears to roam neighborhoods.
- 6:29Floodwaters threatened the state's famous chili
- 6:31crop at harvest time. Acting Governor Howie Morales
- 6:35declared a state of emergency that made $3 ,750
- 6:40,000 available to help affected people. Mexican
- 6:45authorities remain on alert due to Hurricane
- 6:47Rachel. In business news, China's securities
- 6:53regulator is raising the bar for public listings
- 6:56of humanoid robot startups, according to sources
- 6:59familiar with the China Securities Regulatory
- 7:02Commission's thinking. This reflects how one
- 7:05of the hottest sectors is cooling as investors
- 7:07assess whether artificial intelligence stocks
- 7:10are in a bubble. The regulator requires that
- 7:13humanoid applicants have sustainable revenue
- 7:16and commercial orders Losses must narrow and
- 7:19companies must possess core technology. Only
- 7:23a handful of startups may meet these criteria,
- 7:26lowering expectations for public markets. Investment
- 7:30in the sector hit 47 .09 billion won in the second
- 7:34quarter, more than double the first quarter.
- 7:38In crypto movement, Bitcoin is down 3 % to about
- 7:42$84 ,000. Ethereum is down 2%. to about $3 ,000.

- 8:40back to the show. Let's talk tech. Boocal Parent
- 8:45Company Alphabet has launched Gemini 4 Argon.
- 8:49a new artificial intelligence model designed
- 8:52to handle tasks such as coding, research, and
- 8:55writing. According to Google, it excels particularly
- 8:59in cybersecurity. ARKAN is being rolled out to
- 9:03a select group of the company's cyber partners
- 9:05through its Fairwin program. This model is trained
- 9:09specifically for defensive cyber work, enabling
- 9:12it to autonomously find, validate, and patch
- 9:16critical software vulnerabilities. Additionally,
- 9:20Argon is noted for its coding and engineering
- 9:22capabilities. Google claims Argon scored significantly
- 9:26higher than OpenAIs, GPT -6 Astra, and Anthropix
- 9:31Spable and Opus models in various benchmarks.
- 9:37And in entertainment news, Prime Video's Neegley,
- 9:42the first -ever Reacher spinoff, is not only
- 9:45shaping a new era for the franchise, but also
- 9:48influencing Lee Child's literary universe. The
- 9:52series, which premiered on September 16th, has
- 9:55dominated charts in more than 25 countries. Penguin
- 9:59Random House recently announced Zero Margin,
- 10:02co -written by Lee Child and Yasmin Ango, marking
- 10:05Negley's first book. Child, who has stepped down
- 10:09from the main series, remains personally involved
- 10:12in this project, underscoring Negley's significance.
- 10:16As the show reveals Negley's backstory, it will
- 10:19be intriguing to see how zero margin aligns with
- 10:22or diverges from it. Well, all righty, folks.
- 10:27It's time for the quote of the day. And today,
- 10:31our quote comes from the American architect and
- 10:33inventor R. Buckminster Fuller. And he said,
- 10:39you never change things by fighting the existing
- 10:41reality. To change something, build a new model
- 10:44that makes the existing model obsolete. And that's
- 10:49a wrap for this morning. You can check out our
- 10:52Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for some captivating
- 10:56aerial videos with local news and the weather
- 10:59reports. Have an amazing day, my good friends.
