- 0:00Speaker 1: Chapter thirty of Religion, by separation of matter and spirit. Juna.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Now would I hear O gracious gesua of life which seems,
- 0:11Speaker 1: and soul beyond which sees, and what it is we
- 0:14Speaker 1: know or seem to know Krishna, a son of Kunti.
- 0:20Speaker 1: For this flesh e se is chethra is the field
- 0:23Speaker 1: where life disposed, and that which views and knows it
- 0:27Speaker 1: is the soul chathra Ya in all fields. Though Indian
- 0:32Speaker 1: Prince I am Sthrina, I am what surveys, only that
- 0:37Speaker 1: knowledge knows, which knows the known by the novel, What
- 0:41Speaker 1: it is that field of life, what qualities it had,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and whence it is and why it changeth? And the
- 0:48Speaker 1: faculty that votereth it, the mightiness of this and how
- 0:52Speaker 1: it voteth. Hear these things from me the elements, the
- 0:56Speaker 1: conscious life, the mind, the unseen white wal force, and
- 1:01Speaker 1: nine great gates of the body, all the five domains
- 1:04Speaker 1: of sense. Desire is like pleasure and pain, and thought,
- 1:09Speaker 1: deep oven and persistency of being. These all are wrought
- 1:13Speaker 1: on Matt by the soul. Humbleness, truthfulness and homelessness, patience
- 1:20Speaker 1: and honor, reverence for the wise, purity, constancy, control of self,
- 1:26Speaker 1: contempt of sense, delights, self sacrifice, perception of the sertitude
- 1:31Speaker 1: of ill in birth, death, a disease, suffering and sin, detachment, lightly,
- 1:39Speaker 1: holding and too hope, children and wife, and all that
- 1:42Speaker 1: mindeth men and ever tranquil heart, in fortune's good and
- 1:47Speaker 1: fortune's evil, with a will set firm to worship me
- 1:51Speaker 1: me only, ceasing, not loving all solitudes, and shunning noise
- 1:55Speaker 1: of foolish crowds, endeavors, resolute to reach perception of the atones,
- 2:00Speaker 1: soul and grace, to understand what gain it were so
- 2:03Speaker 1: to attain This is true his isdom, friends, and what
- 2:07Speaker 1: is otherwise his ignorance? Now will I speak of knowledge?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Best to know the truth which giveth man amored to
- 2:15Speaker 1: drink the truth of him a parabrum the all the uncreated,
- 2:21Speaker 1: not a set, not seth not form nor the unformed,
- 2:26Speaker 1: yet both and more. Whose hands are everywhere and everywhere, planted,
- 2:31Speaker 1: his feet and everywhere, his eyes beholding, and his ears
- 2:36Speaker 1: in every place, hearing, and all his faces everywhere, enlightening
- 2:41Speaker 1: and encompassing, his worlds glorified by the senses he hath given.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Yet beyond sense, he is sustaining all he dwelothed, unattached
- 2:51Speaker 1: of forms and modes. Master, yet neither form nor mode
- 2:55Speaker 1: hath he He is within all beings and without, motionless,
- 3:00Speaker 1: yet still moving, not discerned for subtility of instant presence,
- 3:06Speaker 1: close to all we each, yet measurelessly, far not manifold,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and yet subsisting still in all which lives, forever to
- 3:14Speaker 1: be known as the Sustainer. Yet at the end of
- 3:17Speaker 1: times he makeup all to end, and recreates the light
- 3:22Speaker 1: of lights. He is in the heart of the dark,
- 3:25Speaker 1: shining eternally. Wisdom he is, and Wisdom's way and gait
- 3:30Speaker 1: of all the wise planted every heart. So have I
- 3:34Speaker 1: told of life's stuff and the molding and the lore.
- 3:38Speaker 1: To comprehend, who so adoring me perceiveth this shall surely
- 3:43Speaker 1: come to me. Know thou that nature and the Spirit
- 3:47Speaker 1: both have no piginning. Know that qualities and changes of
- 3:51Speaker 1: them are by nature wrought. The nature puts toward the
- 3:55Speaker 1: acting frame, but spirit doth inform it, and so cause
- 3:59Speaker 1: feeling of pain and pleasure. Spirit, linked to molded matter,
- 4:03Speaker 1: entered into bond with qualities by nature frame, and thus
- 4:08Speaker 1: married to matter, reach the birth again in good or
- 4:11Speaker 1: evil yonies. Yet is this a in its body liprisen spirit, fure, spirit, supreme, surveying, governing, guarding, possessing,
- 4:23Speaker 1: Lord and master still Purusha ultimate one soul with me.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Whoso thus knows himself and knows his soul pusha, working
- 4:32Speaker 1: through the qualities with nature's moves, the light hath come
- 4:35Speaker 1: for him, whatever flesh he bears, never again shall he
- 4:39Speaker 1: take on its load. Some few, there be, by meditation
- 4:43Speaker 1: find the soul in self self school, and some by
- 4:46Speaker 1: long philosophy and holy life reach thither. Some by words,
- 4:52Speaker 1: some never so attaining hear of light from other lips
- 4:55Speaker 1: and seas, and pleave to it, worshiping a, and those
- 5:00Speaker 1: to teaching true overpast death. Wherever Indian prince life is
- 5:06Speaker 1: of moving things or things unknown, plant or still see,
- 5:12Speaker 1: know what is there? Hath grown by bond of matter
- 5:16Speaker 1: and spirit. No he sees, indeed, who sees in all
- 5:20Speaker 1: alike the living lordly soul, the soul supreme, imperishable amid
- 5:26Speaker 1: the perishing. For whoso thus beholds in every place, in
- 5:30Speaker 1: every form, the same one, living Lord death, no more
- 5:34Speaker 1: wrongfulness unto himself, but goes the highest road which brings
- 5:38Speaker 1: to bliss seeing he sees, indeed, who sees networks or
- 5:43Speaker 1: nature's owned for soul to use? Not love acting? Yet
- 5:48Speaker 1: not the actor sees the mass of separate living things,
- 5:52Speaker 1: each of his kind issue from one and blend again
- 5:56Speaker 1: to one. Then hath he Fromma he attains Prince, that
- 6:01Speaker 1: ultimate high Spirit, uncreate, unqualified, even when it entereth flesh
- 6:07Speaker 1: taketh no stain of acts, worketh in naught, like to
- 6:12Speaker 1: the a thrial air, pro pervading all which for sheer
- 6:16Speaker 1: subtility avoid attaint. The subtle soul sits everywhere unstained, like
- 6:22Speaker 1: to the light of all piercing sun, which is not
- 6:26Speaker 1: changed by art. It shines upon the soul's light shine
- 6:29Speaker 1: a few in every place. And they who by such
- 6:33Speaker 1: I of wisdom, see how matter and what deals with
- 6:36Speaker 1: it divide, and how the spirit and the flesh have strife.
- 6:41Speaker 1: These vozons go the way which leads to life. Here
- 6:45Speaker 1: endeth Chapter thirteen of the Babaa Gita.
