- 0:09The Webb Telescope is nothing less than Humanity's next effort
- 0:13to move closer to understanding some of the biggest questions
- 0:16about the origin of our universe.
- 0:19It is not just the origins of distant stars and galaxies, but
- 0:22it's the story of us, you and me.
- 0:25It can't be said enough that this is a mission for anyone
- 0:28who's ever looked up at the night sky.
- 0:29And I wonder how we got here, why?
- 0:40Watch this very spectacular. It was a brief, maybe three
- 0:45minutes of just silence on TV. They had the James Webb
- 0:50Telescope moving away unfurling. Something and just sort of
- 0:55drifting away, drifting into space away from the earth and
- 0:59you See the lower half of your screen, beautiful Earth and then
- 1:04there's this James Webb ten billion dollar telescope.
- 1:08It's just floating out of orbit and on its way.
- 1:13And as it moves away from the earth, it the angle of the sun
- 1:16is is such where the farther, it moves away becomes, a bright,
- 1:22shining orb, almost in the in the shape of a cross.
- 1:26Which is interesting because the Urantia book says that our world
- 1:29is known as the world of the Cross.
- 1:32So and this as we've said or we've talked about here on your
- 1:37Ranch radio with yours, truly Jim Watkins.
- 1:40The James Webb Telescope could be the next major event if it is
- 1:47able to detect life. If it's able to enlarge our
- 1:52vision of the universe and correct many of the assumptions
- 1:56that that have ruled astronomy, for example, the Big Bang, maybe
- 2:01the James Webb Telescope can tell us.
- 2:04Maybe the universe is a lot older than we think.
- 2:08Maybe there are other universes behind the Milky Way that we
- 2:12just haven't seen, But the James Webb, Telescope will allow us to
- 2:16see it. It's a hundred times more
- 2:18powerful. And more detailed than the
- 2:22Hubble, to give you an idea in the Hubble has been for the last
- 2:2520 years, giving us spectacular views of Heaven of the heavens.
- 2:31And it's kind of what I want to talk about this time.
- 2:35Up on the Rancher Radio podcast, what might life be like
- 2:40elsewhere. We hear about that, you know,
- 2:43that's why we're that's why we're looking right?
- 2:46We're trying to find out if we're the only ones in the
- 2:49universe and if we're not, the only ones in the universe alive,
- 2:54then what else is out there? well, the Urantia book actually
- 2:58tells us this Throughout the book, me the whole point of the
- 3:02Rancho book is to inform us. Of the reality that the universe
- 3:07is one large school. It is literally literally
- 3:11littered with evolutionary life, spiritual life what they call
- 3:17the Midway or miranshah and life that sphere between the pure
- 3:21material. And the pure Spirit, much of all
- 3:24of this activity takes place on real planets.
- 3:29It's a very large neighborhood, very big place.
- 3:33Oh and by the way, if you want to get an inkling of how big it
- 3:36is, I urge you to check out YouTube look for Nigel none.
- 3:42He has. I think maybe six videos that
- 3:45he's produced, he specializes in digital Artistry and man, he
- 3:51just knocks it out of the park and he gives you a real good
- 3:54perspective along with some other works.
- 3:57You'll have no shortage. You're finding these beautiful
- 4:00visually stimulating pieces of art produced by people who are
- 4:05obvious readers of the Urantia book.
- 4:09So on paper 72, there are 12 chapters in this paper.
- 4:13And that's what we're going to focus on.
- 4:14So within the twelve chapters, there are 12 Pages.
- 4:17Total from section 3, in our history of the Urantia move our
- 4:22world. So this chapter takes us on a
- 4:25departure from the timeline and brings in a neighboring planet
- 4:28for duration before it starts to take us on the Journey of our
- 4:32last 40,000 years. Now, why would they do that?
- 4:37They cover a variety of subject matter and paper 72 and the
- 4:40revelator's share with us. All kinds of information on this
- 4:43sister sphere doesn't tell us where it is, but it tells us how
- 4:48it is. And in fact, how similar they
- 4:51are to us Including is the history of the continent on this
- 4:56neighboring Planet, the home life, it's political structure
- 5:01how they set up their schools parenting, even things like
- 5:06taxation, how they deal with crime and how other countries on
- 5:11the planet compared to them. They even explain why they are
- 5:15sharing the information with us. The author is simply credit as a
- 5:19Melchizedek of nebadon, perhaps maybe perhaps a milk, has a dick
- 5:24that that serves in some kind of receivership on this planet,
- 5:27similar to what much Aventa does.
- 5:31But nevertheless, he is a Melchizedek.
- 5:33So he is a hi son, revealing this information almost
- 5:37firsthand it appears So we're going to read I giving you the
- 5:42Abridged version, but he's I picked out in sequential order
- 5:46as we move through paper 72. But the rich detail and the
- 5:51corollary information has an effect where we started thinking
- 5:55about, how we do things here on our world.
- 5:58And then in our time, what can we learn from this story?
- 6:02That's what this is about. What can we learn from them?
- 6:05As we peruse paper, 72. Government on a neighboring
- 6:09planet from the Rancho book. So, from the beginning, 72 the
- 6:15opening paragraph section one with the approval of the most
- 6:18highs of edentia. Now, remember, most high, most
- 6:22Highs are mentioned numerous times.
- 6:24And in scripture, they represent the government of the Trinity on
- 6:29a densha. That's the name of the
- 6:31headquarters world of our section of space.
- 6:36He writes, I am authorized to narrate something of the social
- 6:39moral and political life of the Bands to human race, human race
- 6:45living on a not far distant planet belonging to your system
- 6:49which they named satania. This planet has experienced a
- 6:53history most like that of here, ancha.
- 6:56The similarity of the two spheres undoubtedly explains why
- 6:59permission to make this extraordinary presentation was
- 7:03granted for. It is most unusual for the
- 7:06system rulers to consent to the narration on one planet of the
- 7:11affairs. Of another.
- 7:14A very Superior civilization is evolving on an isolated
- 7:18continent about the size of Australia.
- 7:21This nation numbers about 140 million.
- 7:24The people are a mixed race predominantly blue and yellow.
- 7:28Having a slightly greater proportion of violet than the
- 7:31so-called white races of Urantia.
- 7:35These different races are not yet fully Blended, but they
- 7:38fraternize and socialize. Very acceptably.
- 7:41The average length of Life on this continent is now 90 Years,
- 7:4515% higher than any of the other people on the planet.
- 7:52These people are self-sustaining that is they can live
- 7:55indefinitely without importing, anything from the surrounding
- 7:59Nations. Their natural resources are
- 8:01replete and by scientific technique, they have learned how
- 8:06to compensate for their deficiencies in the essentials
- 8:09of Life. They enjoy your brisk domestic
- 8:12Commerce, but have little foreign trade owing to the
- 8:16universal hostility of their less Progressive Neighbors.
- 8:22This Continental Nation now has a representative government with
- 8:26a centrally located national capital, the central Government
- 8:31consists of a strong Federation of 100, comparatively free
- 8:35states, the state, select their Governors and legislators for 10
- 8:40years and none are eligible. For re-election state judges are
- 8:45appointed for Life by the governor's and confirmed by
- 8:48their legislatures, which consists of one representative
- 8:52native for each 100,000 citizens.
- 8:56It's not unlike our own world really in our own country.
- 9:00The United States were 50 states.
- 9:02Instead of 100, each state is is free the state, select our
- 9:07Governors and legislatures. One notable difference is that
- 9:11they're not eligible for re-election.
- 9:13So they have their answer to term limits a slightly longer
- 9:17term but one term And then, of course, like us with our Supreme
- 9:23Court judges, they get appointed for life.
- 9:25So today and the state level, and they're confirmed much like
- 9:29we confirm our own and of course, they have representative
- 9:32government, which is analogous analogous to our own one
- 9:37representative for each 100,000 citizens.
- 9:40So that's interesting, isn't it? They're very similar to us.
- 9:45From paper, 72 section 2. We pick up the federal
- 9:49government in braces, three coordinate, divisions, executive
- 9:53legislative and judicial the federal chief executive is
- 9:58elected every six years, he is not eligible for re-election
- 10:02except upon the petition of at least 75 State Legislature late
- 10:07legislators concurred in by the respective State Governors and
- 10:13then, but just for one term And he is advised by a super cabinet
- 10:17composed of all living Chief Executives but that's that's
- 10:22pretty interesting, isn't it? So their president serves for
- 10:26six years on this world is not eligible for re-election unless
- 10:30he gets a petition that signed off on by 75% of the states and
- 10:37their respected State Governors and legislators.
- 10:41And even if you are managed able to do that, you'd have to be a
- 10:45He could president you only get reelected for one term boy.
- 10:48That's that's some music to my ears.
- 10:51What I also admire about this, this this government is it.
- 10:56Each president is advised by all the living Chief Executives.
- 11:01I want, there's something about that that I find appealing.
- 11:05Wouldn't it be something if Biden had the resources of Obama
- 11:10and Trump and Bush? And, you know, just because
- 11:14these people have experience and they can obviously bring things
- 11:17nuances to the table, but we don't do it that way.
- 11:20At least far, as I know, Picking up on 72 Section, 3 on this
- 11:26continent, it is against the law for two families to live under
- 11:29the same roof and since group dwellings have been outlawed,
- 11:34most of the tenement type of buildings have been demolished,
- 11:38but the unmarried still live in clubs hotels and other group
- 11:41dwellings. So they've gotten rid of all
- 11:44those tenement buildings. That we see that are common in
- 11:47our society, where typically the impoverished, end up living.
- 11:53So they figured out that it's not good to have this kind of
- 11:56society. It brings with it its own set of
- 11:59problems. The home life of this.
- 12:02People has greatly improved during the last century
- 12:06attendance of parents, both fathers and mothers.
- 12:09At the parental schools of child culture is compulsory These
- 12:15people regard, the home is the basic institution of their
- 12:18civilization. It is expected that the most
- 12:21valuable part of a child's education.
- 12:23And character training will be secured from his parents at at
- 12:27home and fathers, devote almost as much attention to child
- 12:32culture as do mothers. So, a lot, we can learn from
- 12:37that all sections. Struction, is administered in
- 12:41the home by parents, or by legal Guardians.
- 12:43Moral instruction is offered by teachers during the rest periods
- 12:48in the school shops, but not, so with religious training, which
- 12:52is deemed to be the exclusive privilege of parents.
- 12:57Religion being looked upon as an integral part of home life.
- 13:01Purely religious instruction is given publicly only in the
- 13:05temples of philosophy. No, such exclusively religious
- 13:09institutions, as the ranch of churches, having developed among
- 13:13this people. And their philosophy, religion
- 13:16is the striving to know God and to manifest love for one's
- 13:20fellows through service for them.
- 13:23But this is not typical of the religious status of the other
- 13:26nations on this planet. Again, a lot to extrapolate
- 13:31there. With the importance of the
- 13:34family. And the differentiation between
- 13:37families. What they teach children with
- 13:40the schools teach. They don't have churches like we
- 13:45have with all these different denominations, but they do have
- 13:49temples of philosophic philosophy.
- 13:52Interesting where they their religion seems simple.
- 13:58And it's also mirrors exactly what the gospel is.
- 14:00By the way. So, our fridge is conferred the
- 14:04right to vote at 20. The right to marry without
- 14:07parental consent is not bestowed, until 25, and children
- 14:11must leave home on reaching the age of 30 paper, 72 section,
- 14:17three paragraph, 8, marriage and divorce laws are uniform
- 14:21throughout the nation marriage before 20, the age of civil
- 14:25disenfranchised or civil enfranchisement is not permitted
- 14:30permission to marry, is only granted after One year's notice
- 14:33of intention and after both bride and groom present
- 14:37certificate showing that they have been duly instructed and
- 14:41the parental schools regarding the responsibilities of marital
- 14:45married life. So see here.
- 14:47They see, they understand these people have developed that point
- 14:51where they understand that the home is the most important
- 14:54institution. It is how the home goes
- 14:56determines, how Society goes and they take very seriously, it
- 15:01appears You're going to get married and have kids going to
- 15:06raise a family. You better know what you're
- 15:08doing. You can't just have children and
- 15:11make it up as you go along and get some books.
- 15:14And, you know, you, you gotta, it's, it's taken very seriously.
- 15:19And I admire that, I admire that quite a bit.
- 15:24It's I think we can learn from that.
- 15:27Schools are vastly different from those on on Urantia, there
- 15:31are no classrooms. Only one study is Pursued at a
- 15:33time. And after the first three years,
- 15:36all pupils become assistant, teachers, interesting,
- 15:40instructing those below them, that's something.
- 15:43I think that we could look into books are only used to secure
- 15:47information, that will assist in solving the problems arising in
- 15:52the school shops and on the school Farms, much of the
- 15:56furniture used on the continent and many mechanical, contrivance
- 16:00has Are made in the shops and this is a great age of admission
- 16:06and mechanization for these people.
- 16:12Adjacent to each shop is a working Library where the
- 16:15student may consult the necessary reference books,
- 16:18Agriculture and Horticulture are also taught throughout the
- 16:22entire educational period on the extensive Farms.
- 16:26Adjoining every local school. Now there's something that I
- 16:30think could be revolutionary for us.
- 16:34Imagine that future age where when you send your child to
- 16:38school, they spend part of the day learning how to grow
- 16:40tomatoes. Potatoes.
- 16:42And they actually learn something about tilling the
- 16:45soil. That could have a, such a
- 16:48positive impact. I know that many people will say
- 16:52including myself that when you are young and you have that
- 16:55experience of being on a farm and being around livestock and
- 16:59growing food, and eating the food that you grow, it's a
- 17:03transformative experience. It's something that stays with
- 17:05you and it's something that we've lost in our Urban Society
- 17:10to a great degree. The book says, the federal
- 17:15government is paternalistic, only the administration of old
- 17:18age pensions and in the fostering of genius and creative
- 17:22originality, the state governments are slightly more
- 17:26concerned with the individual citizen.
- 17:28While the local governments are much more paternalistic or
- 17:32socialistic. Although the society and
- 17:38government of this unique, people are in many respects,
- 17:40Superior to those of the ranch and Nations.
- 17:44It should be stated that on the other continents there are 11 on
- 17:49this planet. The government's are decidedly
- 17:51inferior to the more advanced nations of Urantia.
- 17:57They're telling us this planet, our neighboring Planet out of
- 18:03the 11 continents. This one is the most advanced
- 18:06and it's probably farther Advanced and most of our current
- 18:10continents. But inversely, the other 10
- 18:15continents are vastly inferior to what our continents would be.
- 18:21So that's a pretty severe. Could see why they're shut off
- 18:25and while they learn to be self-sufficient, Just now the
- 18:30superior government is planning to establish.
- 18:33Now, this was written in 34, so this would have been, you know,
- 18:3770, 80 years ago Just now the superior government is planning
- 18:42to establish Ambassador Ambassador, real relations with
- 18:47the inferior peoples and for the first time a great religious
- 18:50leader has arisen who Advocates the sending of missionaries to
- 18:54these surrounding Nations, We Fear, they are about the to make
- 18:59the mistake that so many others have made.
- 19:02When they have endeavoured to force, a superior culture and
- 19:05religion upon other races. So take note I'm going to teach
- 19:11us a lesson here. We're talking about the mistake
- 19:16that we make, when you try to force a superior culture on an
- 19:21inferior or different race. They say, what a wonderful thing
- 19:27could be done in this world. If the Continental nation of
- 19:30advanced cultures would only go out and bring to itself the best
- 19:34of the neighboring, peoples, and then after educating them, send
- 19:38them back as emissaries of culture to their benighted
- 19:41brethren this is, by the way, the practice that were was
- 19:47conducted in the caligastia scheme, the plan, the 100, and
- 19:52then also of the adamic culture, There's was to go out and bring
- 19:57the superior members, a few of them, teach them their ways, and
- 20:03then send them back to their, they're saying that's the
- 20:06preferred way. If you really want to make an
- 20:08impact and help Advance other societies, take a few of them,
- 20:14bring them in, teach them and then send them back.
- 20:18Then they can share what they've learned with their fellow man.
- 20:21That seems to be not only I have a feeling that's that's the
- 20:26tried-and-true way of advancing cultures.
- 20:31Instead of this en masse and we've seen a lot of people today
- 20:36argue about the merits of, you know how America came to be
- 20:40because this is essentially what we did we came in European
- 20:43settlers and we forced our culture upon the indigenous at
- 20:47the time and this has been done. Spanish, did it to the Native
- 20:53Americans in the 1500s so forth. And we continue to do this today
- 20:58although today it's much more having to do with Commerce.
- 21:03And then finally, it reads from paper 72 section 12.
- 21:07This recital of the Affairs of a neighboring planet is made by
- 21:11special permission with the intent of advancing civilization
- 21:16and augmenting governmental evolutions on Urantia.
- 21:20Much more could be narrated that would no doubt interest and
- 21:24Intrigue your engines but this disclosure covers the limits of
- 21:29our permissive mandate The intent of advancing civilization
- 21:37and augmenting, governmental Evolution.
- 21:42And that concludes some of the highlights from paper, 72 and
- 21:45titled government on a neighboring planet from the
- 21:48Rancho book. This is the first attempt I can
- 21:51recall of a book providing an in-depth.
- 21:53Look at a society on a neighboring World.
- 21:56It also provides to be one of the few examples.
- 22:00Of how the Rancho book differentiates itself from most
- 22:04religious books by stepping into Uncharted Territory, but yet it
- 22:10is consistent with its overall presentation.
- 22:14And it's a suggestion that life is abundant and more common in
- 22:18the cosmos than even we realize. So I hope you got something out
- 22:23of paper 72. I love reading it from time to
- 22:26time. It's one of my favorites from
- 22:29the archives I guess. The Rancher book.
