- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans, welcome in to do all daily presented by Jinjag.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Deluo.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here Thursday, August, Fourteenth.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a busy day so far.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the Jaguar has had what was training camp practice number fifteen, but it was also a full scrimmage.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: It was a lot of work, eleven on eleven.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Wars versus Jack Wars getting after it today for almost a couple hours.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: Practice was nine forty five to eleven forty five.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think I got cut just a little early because they got in the work they wanted to get in.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: It was getting hot.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: They were working hard.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: But there was four periods of you know getting ready.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: positional drill type stuff, and then it was scrimmage, the rest of the practice.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: So it was a big time practice in terms of the work they got in.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be a lot to correct on both sides for sure, but we're going to dive into it.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all be in here.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: You can also check out jingjag.com slash shop.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to support the channel further pick up some new Duval gear, look good while doing it.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: So, Jack Wars.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: Training camp practice number fifteen, enter squad, scrimmage.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: Tyson Campbell, who is day today.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: I did see him out there today working on the bike, so there is, you know, I don't want to say progress, because you can see guys working on the bike for weeks and weeks.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: The bottom line is we're at a point in the season where teams don't have to disclose much about injuries.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguarists have not disclosed much about his injury other than that he is considered day-to-day.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: Day-to-day is certainly better than week to week.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's better than out for training camp.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: So still day-to-day as far as we know.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: We did not hear from Liam Cohen after practice.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: We heard from great intensity and Trevor Lawrence, highly encouraged y'all to go check out those press conferences, but Liam Cohen had he been available to the media after practice probably would have given a little bit more.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: information, ask questions at least about certain things.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: So there's some things we still don't know, such as like injury updates, and also kind of the status for this weekend's pre-season game against the Saints, like are the starters going to go.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think the starters, you know, I err on the side of caution a little bit, but I also am keenly aware that the Jags
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: are in your one of a completely new philosophy on coaching on both sides of the ball and completely new offense, completely new defense.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: They probably need the work.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think based on what we're seeing in practice, based on what we saw last week, they probably need the work.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to play in preseason week three against the dolphins.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have their joint practice and that's probably going to be it.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this was kind of to simulate today was kind of to simulate a joint practice without actually having a joint practice, you know, inner squad, scrimmage on a Thursday, where a lot of teams today are doing joint practices.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: But again, I think the team needs more work against other teams before we won.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: I will say that, but I also know you got to err on the side of the caution.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a glad I'm not the one that has to make that decision.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: Point blank period.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Mason Smith is back.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: which is exciting.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: Now, activated from the active slash PUP physically unable to perform list, always saying that and typing that was always weird, activated from the active slash physically unable to perform list.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: He was already technically on the active roster, right?
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: But now he's ready to practice and
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: Once you get activated from the PUP, you cannot go back on the PUP if you do you're out for the year.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: So they feel like he's at a point where he's ready to start ramping up.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: Now that does not mean he is competing in team.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's competing in positional drills right now and individual, but he's not ready yet.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: They're not putting him in a team situation.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I know he was not out there during the scrimmage doing the eleventh on eleven.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to work up to that type of stuff.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: I would imagine at some point maybe next week maybe joint practices.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you'd probably like to get him going against his guys before he starts going against opponents.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe he's a player that suits up against the dolphins.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: They just don't play them at all during preseason.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: You would like to see him.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: You'd also like to see Eric Armstead, who is working to the side.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's out there.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's working.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's trying to get back to being ready to play, you know, with his team.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like so.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully, good news on the injury front for your defensive tackles.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully, Tyson Campbell can come back soon.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: There was a couple things I saw today, injury wise.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: Anton Harrison was getting looked at on the side at one point.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't see him come back after that.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: Tomb Ra doga limped off.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: You got Wyatt Mylum, Fred Johnson, Walker Little.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think you've been Patrick McCarrie all taking right tackle snaps today with the first team with Anton going down.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think Anton has anything serious, but remains to be seen again.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: The coordinators aren't going to talk about injuries.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: Really, generally speaking, you're going to have to get that from the head coach and we'll just have to see there.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: The Jack Wars do have some versatility.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: With their offensive line, you obviously hope Anton Harrison can go.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter today started practice on the defensive side of the ball, did all the individual and position stuff on defense, then he went and played offense about halfway through the scrimmage.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: So he did play both sides during the scrimmage.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: We'll definitely talk about how he did.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: He was with the first team on both sides.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: We sat in the stands during most of the scrimmage, the media did.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Usually that's not available to the media, but
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Today it was so a little bit of a different vantage point.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that was interesting and just something to note.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: We did almost have a fight.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: Basel Tutan, Jarring Jones, getting after each other a little bit, Walker Little comes in, kind of pushes Jarring off, and that's it.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: It was a very tame, but tempers flare in a little bit.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's hot.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's edgy, right?
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: So getting into the team stuff, we're going to talk about all my, we're going to go through my team notes and then we're going to go through the Trevor Lawrence stuff.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: So Trayvon Walker had a really nice run stuff early on.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think the second play, the eleven on eleven against Travis ETN, he is block.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: He made a play against the run, no surprise there.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Heinz Allen had a sack and I can already go ahead and tell you Josh Heinz Allen had multiple sex today.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: multiple would be sacs.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, can can go ahead and just tell you Josh Hines Allen played really well.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Trable Walker played really well.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: Travis ETN did have early on a nice run, had a big hole that the offensive line opened up on the left side.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Mullins had a big screen past a bashed two and that was well blocked.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was good to see two and get out there and catch him past his making plays.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Patrick Herbert almost had Justin Herbert.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: Patrick Herbert had a really nice catch down the field today from Nick Mullins.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: So good to see Patrick Herbert making some plays.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: Christian Brasswell had an impressive pass break up against Joshua Cephas, tight contested coverage.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: Cam Little was two of two on his field goal attempts, one of one on his PAT.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe two of two.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: Often scored twice, Jaguar starting off in scored twice.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he did a PAT on all of them, but he was perfect on all those kicks at the point of that.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: Do we win or early on in this practice was making some plays?
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: He smoked ETN at the line, and no.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: It was a good tackle.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: UTN went down quickly.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: This wasn't really supposed to be like a full, you know, tackled to the ground type of scrimmage based on what I saw, but you know, do we did his thing and tackled UTN and got him down at the line?
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I just about that because it seemed like tank pigs we got mad the other day when I think it was Rick whom tweeted that do we smoked him for a safety?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I don't know what you want to define smoke as, but was it a clean tackle where do we got these guys down and the backfield?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: So good for doing coming off the edge there.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: He had a really good drive on that one.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: He picked off a Trevor Lawrence pass that wasn't really a Trevor Lawrence pass because there was an off-side.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: So Trevor Lawrence taking a shot down the field.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: It was not a good pass by Trevor Lawrence, but it doesn't count against Trevor Lawrence because he wouldn't have thrown it unless there was a defense of off-sides.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was one of those things where it's like, okay, we're gonna take a shot here since we got the off-sides, which is what you want to see the quarterback do.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: You'd like to see him deliver a little bit more accurate pass, but either way, good play by do we, do we had multiple run-stuffs and the interception that wasn't really interception, but still a good play.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: Logan Cook saw him bomb a punt down the field.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: He got one inside the ten yard line was good to see him do that.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Ethan Downs had a would-be sack.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: After that, Seth Hennington completed the ball deep to Dorian Singer.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: So you have all these people like, oh, uh, Downs got the sack before that.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: And that happens a lot in practice where the quarterback will continue to play even after he would have been sacked.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Chandler Brayboy caught a really nice screen pass and had some space.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I know that he's got some inconsistencies.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes he doesn't have the most consistent hands, but he can fly.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: He can absolutely fly.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: So he has fun to watch once he gets the ball in his hands.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: And he's fun to watch run routes because he can really run.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: To Quentin Jackson was running really physical today.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Seth Hennigan had a touchdown pass to Cam Camper and Cam Camper had himself a day.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: He caught that touchdown pass.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: He also had a nice catch.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Intermediate catch, but over ten yards, it was a first down that they picked up on that play from John Wolford, B.K.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: quarterback, shout out.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: And then he also drew a passenger appearance deep down the field later on.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: So like Cam Camper had his most productive practice for sure.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Mullins, I'm having a real hard time with being your QB-II.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Does he do the backup quarterback thing where he's good for the room, he's smart, he helps out the starter and quarterback and things like that, yes.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want him to be the guy that goes on the field if you're starting quarterback gets injured?
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not ready to sit here and say that Seth Hennigan should be the QB-II for the Jaguars because there's just so much as an observer that you don't know about what the quarterback knows or understands about the offense, how ready he would actually be in a real game, things of that nature, but I am willing to say this.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: Seth Hennigan is definitely the best thrower of the football on the team, not named Trevor Lawrence, by a wide margin.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: He is a better arm, he's a better thrower than Nick Mullins or John Wilford.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: Does that mean he should be a QB to?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: I really don't.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that would be a question that we'll find out the answer to, but the offensive coordinator in the head coach would be more able to really decipher that better than someone who's just watching and
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: I would honestly say right now if there wasn't injury took you'd be one, you'd probably be on the market for somebody to come in and start.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think that might just be how they're going to handle things.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: You've seen teams in the
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: in the Sean McVay tree handle it that way.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Kevin O'Connell, great, and Ski, in Minnesota, when they had Nick Mullins, they would go out and get other quarterbacks if they needed a starter.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: You've seen the Rams do that before, you know, going out and getting Baker Mayfield during Liam Cohen season as the offensive coordinator there.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I think maybe that would be the path, but I just don't think Nick Mullins is somebody you want on the field.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: I will definitely say that.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Jefferson had a would be sack.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: Three fall starts on the day.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it was only three and I say only.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, fall starts continued to be a problem unfortunately today for the offense.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was more so the backups than the starters.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: But that's not good enough.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: You had some penalties on both sides.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: You had some off sides on the defense.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to see that.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's something they got to improve the mental pre-snaps stuff.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: They got to keep working on it.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: I got to keep drilling it.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Hamilton sacked Nick Mullins.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: I have a note here that says, give me sathing again.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: But again,
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, much better, passer, much more live arm than the other two, but I'm not willing to say that he should definitely enter the game if Trevor goes down yet.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: Although, I just don't know what type of real upside Nick Mullins gives you at all if you have to put him in.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: Dennis Gardeck got him out there in teams and he made an impressive tackle.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: It was good to see him after starting camp on the PUP list.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: Tutant at one point did get in with the ones.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: Basel Tutant, I've been kind of advocating for Basel Tutant to maybe be the top back.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: Not the lead back in terms of like a workhorse, but a lead back in a time share running back room right now.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think Basel Tutant should be.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: As I mentioned, you almost had that fight.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: The Army Brown had a nice long run.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: That was good to see from him.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, if the Army's having a run, you know what type of play that is probably.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then getting into first team offense type of stuff, Trevor Lawrence's day today was seventeen of twenty six.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna roll through the notes here.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: First throw was a nice throw, a drop by Brian Thomas Jr.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: So you had drops today, you had penalties,
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: You had the things you don't want to see, right?
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: And you also had a few miscommunications.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: So the Brian Thomas Jr.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: drop was unfortunate.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: And that was his first play of practice.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: He did play well after that.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he made some plays after that.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get to it.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: But one thing I keep seeing, and I was trolling some folks on Twitter earlier, blaming Trevor Lawrence, not having the ability to throw with touch, blaming that on the receiver's dropping the ball.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: The receivers have dropped the ball from every quarterback.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: They've dropped more passes from the backup quarterbacks and they have from Trevor Lawrence.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: This is not a Trevor Lawrence issue.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: And when I chart a drop, that is not a contested catch.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a passwear.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: The defender got a hand in there.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a passwear.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was a fifty-fifty ball.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: This is a passwear.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: The receiver had it in their hands.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: Was in the process of bringing it to their body and it popped out.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's a drop.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: or just sail straight through your hands.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's a drop.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, second play, pass play.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: Hit Brian Thomas, do you know how to come back?
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: That was great to see.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: Go right back to your guy.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: Love to see that.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: Third pass play was a completion.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: I did not see that one.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: Fourth pass play.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: Also a completion complete to
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: It says complete to Tyson.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: That is obviously a typo.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was to Travis.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Hunter doesn't really matter, but there was an off-sides on the defense anyways on that one, one of those off-sides we talked about.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: The fifth pass to drop him to three of five was a drop by Hunter long.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's had some drop issues for sure.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: Completed a pass to Britain strange and completed another pass to Austin, Tramel, completed another pass to Travis ET in with lots of green grass in front of him, completed another one short to
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Parker Washington.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: So he had a nice stretch there where to start practice.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: He was completing everything.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: If it wasn't a completion, it was a drop.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then the next play was an incompletion to Johnny Munn, but passenger parents.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not an incompletion.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: passenger parents on Andrew Wingard.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: That was, yeah.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: Very easy to see that one.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: Do he definitely, definitely tried to hold up Johnny Month there.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that it would have been completed, but it was definitely a passenger parents.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Jerry and Jones had a passenger parents after that.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: The next play off-sides on the defense, Trevor took a shot.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's the one where do we got it, but not an interception for Trevor because he was just taking a shot after an off-sides.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen again, another sack.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: After that, he Trevor Loans took a shot deep to Parker Washington and completed it.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: similar to the Andrew Wingard Interception, the Trevor Lawrence Completion to Parker Washington deep does not count because Josh Hines Allen would have sacked him.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's at least how I'm tallying it.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, next pass where he actually, there wasn't a passenger clearance or a sack or, uh, or an off-sides was a short completion to Travis ETN, then had another short completion to Austin Tramel.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: This was end of half type of situation, offense had to call a timeout, wasted a ton of time before they called a timeout, and then the coaching staff just took the offense, starting off in the field.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think there was a little bit of frustration needed to talk about that situation there.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: Next throw was a completion short to Britain's strange, then another completion short to Diamy Brown, completion short to Travis Hunter, then you had a fall start, then you had an incompletion where it was just another throw I didn't see, but it was an incompletion, then you had another fall start.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: So you did have two out of three plays where fall starts, very ugly there.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: Had a completion to strange for a medium game there to get to thirteen of sixteen and then you get into the red zone.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: Red zone work.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: Completion to Travis ETN for a medium game to get to fourteen of seventeen.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: Had two straight incompletions to Travis Hunter and it looked like both of them.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: There was just a little bit of a timing or
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: spacing issue where neither of them was like a deep pass, but it just didn't look like they were on the same page.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Was it a bad pass?
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: Was Travis Hunter not on the right spot?
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: Was it timing?
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: But two straight incompletions there and then a completion to Brian Thomas Jr.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: To get to fifteen of twenty then.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: Jarring Jones broke up a pass that that was a good play by him.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was on Diami.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: It was almost picked off by Jordan Lewis after that, but it did fall to the ground.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: So fifteen of twenty one on that one not a bad throw by Trevor just a better play on the ball.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: by Jari and then Diami.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: Then, sixteen of twenty-two had a nice completion of Travis Hunter.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think he would have scored a touchdown.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: They marked him down at like the six-yard line, which is fine.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: I did not give Trevor the touchdown for that one, but to me in a game set setting, I do think Travis Hunter scored the touchdown on that one.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: On the very next play, Trevor Lawrence does find Brian Thomas Jr., he was rolling out to his right.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: Brian Thomas Jr.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: coming across the field, finds him.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: Not like contested, but pretty tight window, nice throw there from Trevor to Brian for a touchdown.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: After that first play where they couldn't connect and Brian Thomas Jr.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_00]: had the drop, BTJ had a really good practice after that overall.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: Next throw.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: tried to hit Britain's strange down the field, Jordan Lewis was all over it and Britain's strange know about it after the play.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: Next play gave Travis Hunter a shot down the field and Travis had to extend forward and dive forward but he did get both hands on it so he was mad he didn't catch it.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: Overall, that's the type of play.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if he catches that, it's like a probably a sports center top ten type of play.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: So I wouldn't give Travis Hunter a drop on that one.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: I also wouldn't say it was like a completely inaccurate pass.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: It was just one of those ones where you take a shot, you try to have your superstar athlete unbelievable young player make a play and it just didn't quite work out on that one.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: So you felt a seventeen of twenty five and then
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: The final throw for Trevor.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: He gave Brian Thomas Jr.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: shot down the field one on one with Jarian Jones.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: Jarian Jones broke it up.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: So Jarian definitely made a lot of plays today, but also had a passenger appearance.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's indicative of what we've seen from him.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: He'll be handsy at times.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: He'll get called for penalties at times, but he's also going to make a lot of good plays for you.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: So a little up and down for both sides in my opinion.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence today, seventeen of twenty six, two dropped passes, no interceptions, no turnover worthy plays, few plays where just looked like
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: little bit of a miscommunication other than that solid practice for Trevor, I think.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's now one eighty nine of two eighty eight twenty six touchdown passes six interceptions of fourteen drops three turnover or the plays.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: I really think this is a football team that needs to play more.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think they need to play in this preseason again.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: If they do, you really hope that there's no injuries, but this to me is not a team that looks ready to win a regular season game.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: That'll do it.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
