- 1:45Speaker 1: Hellod addie, thank you. Calvin Johnson coming up. We talked
- 1:50Speaker 1: to him.
- 1:51Speaker 4: He's awesome, pretty cool man.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it pretty cool talking to him, but he's also
- 1:54Speaker 1: it's pretty cool talking to him.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It's also pretty cold talking to him.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Yeah that well, it's pretty cool talking to freaking cal Johnson,
- 2:00Speaker 1: but it was also pretty cool talking to the human
- 2:01Speaker 1: the Discalvin Johnson's they both are pretty cool. Glad everybody's here?
- 2:05Speaker 1: Where do I start? I struck out and slow pitch softball.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I can't I can't start. He can't shake it. I
- 2:09Speaker 2: can't shake it. Is it humiliating? I've seen other people
- 2:12Speaker 2: do it.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I only don't care that much, but higher standard to
- 2:15Speaker 1: the MVP of the celebrity softball game. I it was playoffs.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I was trying to hit a homer. I was just
- 2:20Speaker 1: trying to hit as hard as I could, and that's
- 2:22Speaker 1: the rule.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Did they put spin on it?
- 2:24Speaker 1: Was there nothing, It was just right. And I was like,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I gotta give this a rip. And I missed and
- 2:31Speaker 1: I tucked my tail. I didn't time my tail.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I did the tuck like they did in uh Hannibal Lecter.
- 2:35Speaker 4: That's what I was about to say, silence of the lamp.
- 2:38Speaker 1: He did the wa over his legs. So I reached
- 2:40Speaker 1: in and did that and then walked to the dugout.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And then we lost the game. Not because of that,
- 2:46Speaker 1: but it was as late in the game and I've
- 2:48Speaker 1: never done in my life.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I don't think.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Did you go back to the dugout or straight to
- 2:52Speaker 4: the parking lot.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I went back to the dugout.
- 2:53Speaker 1: But there were some listeners that I met that I
- 2:55Speaker 1: did not go say bye to because I was humiliated.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I was so humiliated I couldn't like to share it, just.
- 3:00Speaker 4: To like to get it out.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yes, I did it feel better after you got it out?
- 3:04Speaker 3: No?
- 3:04Speaker 4: I hate it.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I like want to chew my fingers off.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Hey, what did your teammates tell you bones?
- 3:08Speaker 3: Like, did they like?
- 3:09Speaker 4: Hey, Man's OK. It happens to everyone or team.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It's really nice.
- 3:13Speaker 6: I don't.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Yeah, some of them were.
- 3:15Speaker 1: But I actually played really well all season, Like I
- 3:18Speaker 1: was mostly bat lead off and played first or left
- 3:23Speaker 1: field wherever they needed me, Like I was pretty good.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So I don't think they could be like, man, you sucked.
- 3:29Speaker 1: But I would have thought that I'd have been so disappointed.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And who never did that?
- 3:32Speaker 2: But it was me?
- 3:33Speaker 4: It was brude to the game of the season, playoffs.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Oh it's sober, I'll retire. I'm done. I'm done with soul.
- 3:40Speaker 1: So that that's the headline that's gonna be all over.
- 3:43Speaker 1: ESPN wanted to start with that. That's tatory of the day.
- 3:47Speaker 1: An injury news. Obviously, she rise probably out for the season.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Towards a cl The Chiefs do not have a wide receiver.
- 3:55Speaker 1: They have Zaviriel Worthy, but they don't have what are
- 3:57Speaker 1: they gonna do be nice. They got Devanta Adams. I
- 3:59Speaker 1: only had the money to do that. Let's their defense
- 4:01Speaker 1: is so good that they're going to have to actually
- 4:03Speaker 1: rely on their defense a bit other injury news.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Read. I was about to say, yes, that's why I've
- 4:08Speaker 2: even brought this up.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Happening here well before we even.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Went on to hit record, our lovely Reid does this ow.
- 4:18Speaker 2: And then we hit the button and I don't know
- 4:20Speaker 2: if that was in the recording because it was before
- 4:22Speaker 2: the recording. Do you think it was caught, Mike, Yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 2: I think it was in there. Leave it in there.
- 4:29Speaker 2: So Read over the past, how long you've been working
- 4:32Speaker 2: out with us? Five months?
- 4:34Speaker 4: All right, it's been that long.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Read's been going pretty strong with us. Reid's form, for
- 4:41Speaker 1: the most part, has improved. But anytime it comes to
- 4:43Speaker 1: anything with legs like he he's all back, and there's
- 4:48Speaker 1: a point where you have to not lift in comparison
- 4:53Speaker 1: to the other people you're lifting with.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Eddie went through this when he first started. Eddie's very
- 4:57Speaker 2: strong now, so thank you man. Yeah, a lot of
- 5:00Speaker 2: times sometimes I had to do the same weight. It's pretty
- 5:04Speaker 2: likely and we do that, but still give I'm actually
- 5:11Speaker 2: getting it. Eddie is very strong.
- 5:12Speaker 1: We used to have to like change all the weights.
- 5:13Speaker 1: We don't have to do that anymore with Eddie. If anything,
- 5:15Speaker 1: it's like a small one, a five or something five.
- 5:18Speaker 1: He used to be a full transform takes forty five's off.
- 5:20Speaker 1: But Eddie has worked hard.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And he's he's like strong. It's it's really.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Cool to see read he does it wrong, but he
- 5:30Speaker 1: won't lower the weight because he's not wanting to seem
- 5:34Speaker 1: less than the problem is. He has now heard him.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I a injure myself many times. Mine's usually from overdoing it,
- 5:42Speaker 1: not the heaviness of it, but like mind's in my
- 5:44Speaker 1: feet and my legs from like doing sprints, like constant
- 5:47Speaker 1: start stops. Not about doing something wrong. Yeah, just a
- 5:50Speaker 1: whole lot of start stops. And I'm forty four years old.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Now things start to hurt. I tore my rotator cuff
- 5:55Speaker 1: on my shoulder from throwing too much. Right throw Reed
- 5:59Speaker 1: just has to put less weight on and do it right.
- 6:01Speaker 1: But you won't do it yet, you'll don't make an
- 6:04Speaker 1: excuse like and undercook Sam, Like be consistent if you're
- 6:08Speaker 1: gonna like make excuses, make excuses and nothing.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Protect your health now.
- 6:11Speaker 4: The other day was under spicy spicy talc wait oild eggs.
- 6:16Speaker 4: I only did it for ten minutes.
- 6:18Speaker 2: My tacos were too spicy? Did you matter that one
- 6:20Speaker 2: to day before.
- 6:21Speaker 7: Spicy tacos, like spicy tacos before it workout?
- 6:24Speaker 2: At least be consistent, like there's always something up. Just order,
- 6:29Speaker 2: just put less on.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You can't like be macho during part of it and
- 6:33Speaker 1: not be macho during another. Yeah, be non macho completely,
- 6:37Speaker 1: be like I did my spicy taco.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Who's got me?
- 6:40Speaker 1: And then I should do less weight. We'll be like
- 6:41Speaker 1: class agreed. Good job, buddy, you're showing up. All we
- 6:43Speaker 1: care about is you're showing up. That's all we care about.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Oh man, But you can't be like undercook salmon and
- 6:50Speaker 1: oh lift it all.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not on brand.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Yeah you man.
- 6:56Speaker 8: Have you seen the new The Penguin show on on mac.
- 7:00Speaker 8: That's kind of what I look like when I walk.
- 7:02Speaker 2: So he is a penguin.
- 7:04Speaker 1: According to him, His diagnosis is a disc Yeah.
- 7:10Speaker 2: In the I don't know. She said. If it's not
- 7:13Speaker 2: better by the end of this week, then to go back.
- 7:16Speaker 8: But I used to have sciatica pretty bad, like five
- 7:19Speaker 8: or six years ago to s Yeah, yeah, it's it
- 7:22Speaker 8: went away now until now but I'm sitting down.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, it's just which won some aer better than others.
- 7:32Speaker 8: If you push on that nerve, it like just kind
- 7:34Speaker 8: of goes all down your leg. And so I think
- 7:37Speaker 8: a couple of weeks ago when we were lifting, I
- 7:38Speaker 8: felt it first and then I just kind of let
- 7:40Speaker 8: it go for a little bit, and then like a
- 7:42Speaker 8: couple of days it was fine, and then this time
- 7:44Speaker 8: around it really messed it up.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And so I guess video him.
- 7:48Speaker 1: To go like, watch yourself, this is what you're gonna
- 7:50Speaker 1: hurt your back. But he just keeps doing it, doing it,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I know.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and uh, I love my little baby bird read.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I don't want to slap him sometimes, I know because
- 7:59Speaker 1: I tell him you can slap if you want to
- 8:02Speaker 1: get you want to say you want to get better
- 8:05Speaker 1: at it, you want to get bigger, faster, stronger, you
- 8:07Speaker 1: want to get whatever your goal is.
- 8:09Speaker 2: There is a point where you'll get to where you
- 8:11Speaker 2: want to get. But you can't.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You can't go out and train for a marathon and
- 8:14Speaker 1: do twelve miles your first day. Yeah, like if you
- 8:16Speaker 1: actually want to get to run twenty six point two miles,
- 8:18Speaker 1: just using as an analogy.
- 8:20Speaker 2: If that's your actual goal.
- 8:21Speaker 1: It's not by doing twelve the first day, because you'll
- 8:23Speaker 1: never get to twenty six point two because you'll be
- 8:24Speaker 1: still hurt the next day and so sore your feed
- 8:26Speaker 1: er blistered that you'll be like, I'm done.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I can't'm hurt.
- 8:29Speaker 7: But I will say that when you do work out
- 8:30Speaker 7: with like other people, like the way I was when
- 8:32Speaker 7: I first started, you.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Feel like less than it And that's okay.
- 8:36Speaker 7: I know you're lifting off those forty fives for us,
- 8:39Speaker 7: so I can just do the bar, Like.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Oh, what's the goal?
- 8:41Speaker 1: Is the goal to get stronger, feel better, be healthier,
- 8:45Speaker 1: look better? Then you have to put aside your micro
- 8:48Speaker 1: pride for what your macro pride could be that you
- 8:51Speaker 1: are actually stronger, healthier now now you can't work.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Out for a while, Yeah, you're out. I think I'll
- 8:57Speaker 2: be good Monday, for sure? Oh you think so well?
- 8:59Speaker 2: Not for sure?
- 8:59Speaker 3: You can?
- 9:00Speaker 2: You coughed, went al.
- 9:01Speaker 8: Yeah, and I'm loaded on medican medican medicine right now,
- 9:06Speaker 8: so loaded on it.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Over there. Man.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I wanted this to be a learning lesson in the
- 9:13Speaker 1: most positive way. Again, you're my baby.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Bird. Thanks man, You're also like threes is taller than me.
- 9:20Speaker 1: But for you to get better, you're gonna have to
- 9:24Speaker 1: accept that you're starting from a lesser place because you
- 9:27Speaker 1: started later.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Same with Eddie. Eddie started later and just never was
- 9:32Speaker 2: about ego. Yeah, it was less.
- 9:34Speaker 1: It was less sure that I laugh and write little
- 9:37Speaker 1: journal entries about what.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yes, but now he's like a boss because he did it.
- 9:43Speaker 1: So you just have to pace yourself if the goal
- 9:46Speaker 1: is to get better.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:48Speaker 8: And I'm mean I started with body weight and now
- 9:50Speaker 8: I got some weight on there, so like I can
- 9:52Speaker 8: take some off and still feel good about myself.
- 9:54Speaker 2: But a lot of it is I'm.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Not making about feeling good about yourself. I'm you're already
- 9:58Speaker 1: in the wrong headspace. Don't make it about you're feeling
- 10:00Speaker 1: good about yourself because the weight that's on. Make it
- 10:02Speaker 1: because you're feeling good about yourself because of the work
- 10:05Speaker 1: you're doing and the process, because you will eventually have
- 10:10Speaker 1: all the way you want.
- 10:11Speaker 2: But you're not if you don't go slow.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Ye.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I wonder if Kevin Kluge is around to answer. Oh, yeah,
- 10:18Speaker 2: told him. I talked to him yesterday. I haven't talked
- 10:21Speaker 2: to him today. Kevin's true. Remember, Kevin knows everything for us,
- 10:24Speaker 2: friend him, and I'm surprised that Reid didn't call him
- 10:29Speaker 2: at the doctor. Listen to this, Kevin, can you talk
- 10:31Speaker 2: to the doctor for me?
- 10:33Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, we're recording our podcast, so you're on just
- 10:37Speaker 1: so you know, okay, what.
- 10:43Speaker 3: You know?
- 10:44Speaker 2: You were all it's me and Read and Naddy and
- 10:46Speaker 2: the rest of the crew.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But we're recording our podcast now, so you're on, just
- 10:49Speaker 1: letting you know you're okay. Red, as he may have
- 10:53Speaker 1: told you, thinks he he like did something with the
- 10:57Speaker 1: disc in his back. What do you know about this?
- 11:00Speaker 6: What do I know about his injury?
- 11:02Speaker 1: Yeah, like he said, he has like a herniated disc
- 11:05Speaker 1: in his back, and he coughed earlier and went owl.
- 11:10Speaker 2: What would you what?
- 11:11Speaker 1: What do you say about the whole situation? And what
- 11:13Speaker 1: should we learn from this situation?
- 11:16Speaker 6: I'm not going to play doctor. What I know?
- 11:24Speaker 1: Okay?
- 11:24Speaker 9: So he was squatting, and I know in the squad
- 11:27Speaker 9: he felt something pull right.
- 11:29Speaker 6: Yes, later on he tells me he's running down his leg.
- 11:34Speaker 9: Anytime it runs down the leg, it could be a
- 11:36Speaker 9: herniated disc, It could be side nerves.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Could that's true?
- 11:41Speaker 6: So I've been I haven't seen him since Tuesday, so.
- 11:43Speaker 1: You know, we're trying to lecture Read on not so
- 11:48Speaker 1: much about how he hurt himself, but why he felt
- 11:50Speaker 1: the need to try to compete weight wise when he
- 11:54Speaker 1: knows it's probably a bit too heavy and drop the
- 11:56Speaker 1: ego part of it and not feel like he has
- 11:58Speaker 1: to lift the same as me or Eddie and understand
- 12:02Speaker 1: that it's a process.
- 12:04Speaker 6: I will actually take blame more than Read on that one.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I'll take it.
- 12:11Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, you know, it was a decent jump for him.
- 12:16Speaker 9: I I didn't say anything. I essentially invited it to
- 12:22Speaker 9: have him lift that weight. I think he could handle it.
- 12:26Speaker 9: His form actually looked great. I told him when when
- 12:29Speaker 9: he got injured, a bracing technique could help that, because
- 12:35Speaker 9: you know, you know, you know, that's what That's all
- 12:41Speaker 9: I got to say on that.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I guess you know, do you feel like though it
- 12:46Speaker 1: could have been and follow me here, it could have
- 12:48Speaker 1: been this that the under cook salmon.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Did.
- 12:55Speaker 6: This could be the under cooked salmon.
- 12:56Speaker 9: I will say I will take the blame on on
- 12:59Speaker 9: it over, you know, more than Reid.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I will say that I'm not going to allow that.
- 13:03Speaker 1: But and you're and he's a Kevin's a selfless guy,
- 13:05Speaker 1: and I can hear him trying to take the blame,
- 13:07Speaker 1: which is not his fault.
- 13:08Speaker 2: I had lifted that weight before you have.
- 13:09Speaker 1: But my also, my point is, I bet you it
- 13:12Speaker 1: wasn't that exact squad that hurt your back. You have
- 13:14Speaker 1: been trying to do everything with all back, yeah, and
- 13:18Speaker 1: not going, oh, maybe I.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Should do a little less because of an ego thing.
- 13:21Speaker 2: And Kevin's gonna push us.
- 13:22Speaker 1: But he's also if I'm like, dude, I'm hurt, and
- 13:25Speaker 1: I'll hardly ever say that. As a matter of fact,
- 13:26Speaker 1: I don't say that I'm a bad example of this.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I'll say it.
- 13:28Speaker 2: You are, Yeah you are.
- 13:29Speaker 1: But if I remember, like, hey, like my leg is
- 13:32Speaker 1: killing me, I have to say it, and he had
- 13:34Speaker 1: just accordingly.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I like, I don't think i'd say I wouldn't say.
- 13:37Speaker 2: You didn't say that, Yeah, So I.
- 13:40Speaker 9: Actually want to, like, I know you guys aren't asking
- 13:42Speaker 9: for this. I knew he was going to be an
- 13:43Speaker 9: extremely tough challenge, having him squat a seventy pound dumbbell.
- 13:47Speaker 9: He never has done that. His death has looked good.
- 13:50Speaker 9: I thought he's been brazen perfectly you're.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You're a kind guy trying to take blame. I'm not
- 13:54Speaker 1: going to allow it because at any time any of.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Us can say no, I don't think this is because
- 14:01Speaker 2: I've done that before, Like, uh, this is a.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Little too much right now because of when my shoulder
- 14:05Speaker 1: was out. My shoulder was out for six months.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Yeah, and we had to do.
- 14:08Speaker 1: All we're trying to explain to Read is the process,
- 14:11Speaker 1: like he did. There's no need to prove yourself to
- 14:13Speaker 1: anybody but yourself.
- 14:17Speaker 6: Very true with Reid.
- 14:21Speaker 9: I feel like I'm being dodgy here with Red being
- 14:25Speaker 9: two three months in. You are right, Bobby. I'm also
- 14:28Speaker 9: for sure the main focus he should be focusing on
- 14:31Speaker 9: right now, this is on podcasts, like what we've bouncing
- 14:33Speaker 9: all this shit to everybody.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Mean we're literally talking about it. And I knew you
- 14:38Speaker 1: would come on and try to be the nice guy
- 14:39Speaker 1: and take the blame for it. And the whole purpose
- 14:41Speaker 1: was that Reid shouldn't feel because I used Eddie as
- 14:44Speaker 1: an example. Eddie didn't feel like he needs to do
- 14:46Speaker 1: the same weight I did forever. And Eddie's very strong
- 14:48Speaker 1: now because Eddie went through the process and and you
- 14:51Speaker 1: do push us.
- 14:52Speaker 2: That's your job.
- 14:53Speaker 1: But if you push us to a place where we
- 14:54Speaker 1: feel like, oh, it's our job to say it back.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Yep.
- 14:58Speaker 9: Well, I hope you guys know when I ask how
- 15:00Speaker 9: are you feeling, it's not for just to say it.
- 15:03Speaker 9: Also in between sets, I know Bobby hates this. How
- 15:06Speaker 9: does the ankle feel? How are you feeling? I'm not
- 15:08Speaker 9: doing that just to speak and to fill the empty air.
- 15:11Speaker 6: It's me.
- 15:12Speaker 9: I need feedback how does it feel? Because I do
- 15:15Speaker 9: gauge that on where the weight goes. After that, obviously
- 15:18Speaker 9: I can do the eye test like is he moving
- 15:20Speaker 9: to fast? Is moving easy for my perceived eyes? Like
- 15:25Speaker 9: is it difficult? I you know, all those are in account.
- 15:28Speaker 9: I did make a judgment call him like, seventy pound Dumbell,
- 15:30Speaker 9: let's ride.
- 15:32Speaker 1: And I think he's got I don't think this. I
- 15:33Speaker 1: don't think seddy poundumbells will hurt him. Think it was
- 15:35Speaker 1: what he was doing before. What are you gonna say
- 15:37Speaker 1: about Reid?
- 15:38Speaker 2: Though? You were like, and then you stop?
- 15:40Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I.
- 15:41Speaker 9: Did south because someone who's starting just now, you know,
- 15:45Speaker 9: I look at as the nutrition side of things to
- 15:47Speaker 9: where the thing I'm focusing on with him outside of
- 15:51Speaker 9: the gym is like just getting the protein down.
- 15:53Speaker 6: And I was gonna pick on him for eating kellogg cereal.
- 15:55Speaker 9: And but you but that's why I was like, wait,
- 16:01Speaker 9: this shouldn't be going up publicly if.
- 16:03Speaker 2: I'm just you know, that's right.
- 16:06Speaker 6: But yeah, I mean, Bobby, you are right. It is
- 16:08Speaker 6: a process.
- 16:09Speaker 9: Uh yeah, the ego thing amongst everybody, including myself. Can
- 16:15Speaker 9: you know, yes, everyone everyone can do that. But it
- 16:19Speaker 9: is also my job to prevent that.
- 16:20Speaker 2: So it's your job to push us.
- 16:22Speaker 1: But also it's our job to speak up if it
- 16:27Speaker 1: starts to be a bit dangerous, because you should push us.
- 16:29Speaker 2: That is the job. He pushes me.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I want to punch him in the face sometimes, but
- 16:33Speaker 1: I also am like if it's not good, I'm like, oh,
- 16:36Speaker 1: I need to chill on this for a second, because
- 16:37Speaker 1: this is nice.
- 16:37Speaker 9: For sure, Because yeah, because my job is to bring
- 16:40Speaker 9: the intensity of what you guys would not do on
- 16:43Speaker 9: your free time. My job is to put you guys
- 16:46Speaker 9: in a safe zone. Find that even though even though
- 16:52Speaker 9: you guys hate.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Me some days we hate I mean you mean sometimes
- 16:56Speaker 1: all days, but just for a little bit of time,
- 16:58Speaker 1: like we hate it.
- 16:59Speaker 6: It's a small talk.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate small talk too. He's like, how the
- 17:03Speaker 2: feeling I'm like, fine, does work? And he's like, I'm like,
- 17:06Speaker 2: gonna just skips small talk.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Like but now you know he's asking for a purpose.
- 17:09Speaker 2: But he's not. He do just because he knows. I'm
- 17:11Speaker 2: also never going to say I'm hurt unless I just
- 17:13Speaker 2: can't do it. Read. The whole point of this is
- 17:16Speaker 2: that you're going to get there. Don't rush back. I'm
- 17:18Speaker 2: not rushing. But also, don't be a puss. I got you.
- 17:22Speaker 2: It's a fine line. That's a fine line to walk
- 17:23Speaker 2: in the middle.
- 17:24Speaker 6: Yeah, may I add one thing?
- 17:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's two things.
- 17:27Speaker 9: This is a prime example of uh reads. Let's say injured, hurt,
- 17:32Speaker 9: whatever it is. It's a prime example of so still
- 17:35Speaker 9: come in today because we Bobby and Eddie will.
- 17:38Speaker 6: Do their own thing.
- 17:39Speaker 9: Reid will do something different, but he'll still get sixty
- 17:42Speaker 9: minutes of activity.
- 17:42Speaker 6: In that will completely work around his injury.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I think we was planning on not coming. I was
- 17:46Speaker 2: looking at this. Reid was planning on doing nothing but skipping.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Is that right, Reid?
- 17:52Speaker 2: Originally you can't hear you a microphone.
- 17:53Speaker 8: I like, oh yeah, originally you can still.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Talking to the microphone.
- 18:00Speaker 8: Originally I was just gonna do some weighted backpack walks
- 18:02Speaker 8: around the track here, but I'm like, fifty.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Better to just come in. He'll do things that have
- 18:06Speaker 2: nothing to do with your back. That's great. I'm down.
- 18:09Speaker 2: I'm totally down for that. And so you go ahead, Kevin.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 18:12Speaker 6: I was just gonna say, so we have the three
- 18:13Speaker 6: A Migos at three.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Three Migos at three. Let's get it. We will be there.
- 18:17Speaker 1: And Kevin Kluge. Kevin, what's the Instagram that you want
- 18:21Speaker 1: to promote?
- 18:21Speaker 6: And I know you have two clue, Fitness that's the
- 18:24Speaker 6: main one.
- 18:25Speaker 9: Unless you guys want to go look at my kids.
- 18:26Speaker 9: I'm the and the wife on my personal phase, but
- 18:29Speaker 9: fitness is the main one for all.

- 19:18Speaker 1: for a long time to the point where it's like
- 19:21Speaker 1: you're The relationship you have with the trainer is very intimate,
- 19:24Speaker 1: especially because him and I were one on one for years,
- 19:26Speaker 1: three or four years, because it's just you two doing
- 19:29Speaker 1: something together. You're angry at him, you're happy with him,
- 19:32Speaker 1: you have to trust him. They have to push you
- 19:34Speaker 1: and make you uncomfortable the same time. So all these emotions.
- 19:37Speaker 1: And but he is a he played college football and
- 19:40Speaker 1: he's jacked. Yeah, but he's also very warm. And I said,
- 19:44Speaker 1: from a musclehead.

- 23:13Speaker 1: the most dominant receiver in NFL history, like physically dominant.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Pretty cool that we have him on a couple things.
- 23:21Speaker 1: You have hurt my foot and he has a CBD
- 23:24Speaker 1: company that that they're working with athletes on injuries.
- 23:27Speaker 4: You're gonna bring that.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna bring it up to start it.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Usually at the I'll bring on whatever plug is at
- 23:31Speaker 1: the end, but I almost start with that.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Al right, So he does an athlete, you know, he'd
- 23:34Speaker 2: be like, no, this guy's athlete.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:36Speaker 1: So with Calvin Johnson, NFL record for most receiving yards
- 23:40Speaker 1: in a season one and sixty four yards, NFL record
- 23:44Speaker 1: for most consecutive one hundred yard receiving games eight in
- 23:47Speaker 1: a row. NFL Hall of Fame twenty twenty one, College
- 23:49Speaker 1: Hall of Fame twenty eighteen. Second overall pick in the
- 23:51Speaker 1: two thousand and seven NFL Draft behind were you here?
- 23:55Speaker 4: Yeah, but I don't remember who it was.
- 23:57Speaker 2: JaMarcus Russell.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Marcus Russell, Yeah, played at Georgia Tech, played with.
- 24:02Speaker 2: The Lions nine years, yeah, and retire I think it
- 24:04Speaker 2: was nine years. Has already been almost ten years since
- 24:06Speaker 2: he's been out.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Yeah, that's crazy and also full transparency. We literally just
- 24:10Speaker 1: finished the interview, like right, right, when we're recording this.
- 24:14Speaker 2: He still looks young.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Yeah he does.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Like when you said that, like, yeah, he still looks
- 24:18Speaker 2: like he could still go.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:20Speaker 6: Uh.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Three time first team All Pro, six time Pro bowler,
- 24:23Speaker 1: I could keep going.
- 24:24Speaker 2: He has like pages and pages of just stats. He
- 24:27Speaker 2: also made a four three forty at six four, like
- 24:31Speaker 2: six four and thick dang like he was big, but
- 24:34Speaker 2: he was like the perfect possession receiver but could also
- 24:37Speaker 2: fly and not be a possion receiver.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Crazy, He's a freak in the best of ways. And
- 24:43Speaker 1: we're super excited. And here is Calvin Johnson. Hey Calvin,
- 24:47Speaker 1: thanks for the time. Man, Hey good, I have a
- 24:49Speaker 1: question for you. I was I was reading about your
- 24:51Speaker 1: company Primitive and I have like this this and we're
- 24:54Speaker 1: on by the way, so I'm gonna ask your medical
- 24:55Speaker 1: advice as we're on.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Here, Like I still train why I.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Don't know, zombie apocalypse or something, but I have like
- 25:04Speaker 1: this tendon itis issue in my foot up through kind
- 25:09Speaker 1: of the left side of my shin. So what is
- 25:13Speaker 1: primitive and can I put it on my leg and
- 25:15Speaker 1: can and is it possible that this helps like injuries?
- 25:18Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 25:19Speaker 11: Yeah, So Primitive performance is it's our CBD company, and
- 25:22Speaker 11: we use multiple kannabinoids, especially in our topical So for
- 25:26Speaker 11: that superficial you know, irritation, pain you inflammation, Yes, it
- 25:31Speaker 11: would be great for that. You know, it features CBD,
- 25:33Speaker 11: c b G, CBN and whether I say CBG or
- 25:36Speaker 11: CBC one or two, but those cannabinoids come together in
- 25:40Speaker 11: that entroage effect to attack and fight inflammation. So that's
- 25:43Speaker 11: the key sources of our pain. But I would say
- 25:46Speaker 11: that if it's going from you, you say, your foot
- 25:48Speaker 11: all the way up your leg a little bit, to
- 25:49Speaker 11: your ship, to your shins.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's it's foot.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I thought it was an ankle injury at first, but
- 25:54Speaker 1: I went to the doctor and had the x ray
- 25:55Speaker 1: and stuff, and he's like, no, your structure is all good.
- 25:57Speaker 1: It's probably like some tendonitis like in that little area
- 26:00Speaker 1: right there, and he had recommended stuff.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, definitely definitely throw that thing on there.
- 26:06Speaker 11: If we don't have it, I'll have the team singing
- 26:08Speaker 11: some but it's great for that, and I'll stay on
- 26:10Speaker 11: top of that.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Man.
- 26:11Speaker 11: Massage therapy would try to make sure all those muscles
- 26:13Speaker 11: are online where they're supposed to be with help out too.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I get that I get.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I also do like the dry needling when you were playing,
- 26:20Speaker 1: how much did you invest in your body when you
- 26:22Speaker 1: were playing then? And like how much do you wish
- 26:24Speaker 1: you would have known then considering what you know now?
- 26:29Speaker 3: Man?
- 26:30Speaker 11: I did the house at myself. Man I had I'll
- 26:32Speaker 11: probably invested at least a couple of hundred grand and
- 26:35Speaker 11: just things from like hyperbarried chambers to this like post
- 26:39Speaker 11: electromagnetic electromagnetic therapy machine, to saunas to just all kind
- 26:46Speaker 11: of little like.
- 26:48Speaker 3: A little machine, little hammer machines or whatnot. Got all those.
- 26:53Speaker 3: I got my own tens unit.
- 26:54Speaker 11: You know how to put a patch on you and
- 26:57Speaker 11: you feel like the needle, kind of like the needling. Yeah,
- 27:00Speaker 11: I bought everything, and then I spent countless dollars on
- 27:05Speaker 11: my massage therapy. Like I said, I truly believe in that.
- 27:07Speaker 11: I still use the same lady I used when I
- 27:10Speaker 11: played in Tracy today. But I mean, and then dry
- 27:14Speaker 11: needly to your point chiropractic. So I mean, who knows
- 27:17Speaker 11: countless dollars spent? But I mean, this is your business,
- 27:20Speaker 11: this r here, this body is your business when you're
- 27:22Speaker 11: playing professional sports, So behoove you to do everything you
- 27:25Speaker 11: can to keep that business running.
- 27:27Speaker 2: How do people get Primitive if they're listening, how do
- 27:29Speaker 2: they get Primitive?
- 27:30Speaker 11: Yeah, Primitive Performance is available online. You go to Primitive
- 27:32Speaker 11: Performance dot com. We have a rehydration solution which features CBD.
- 27:37Speaker 11: Like I said, we're just trying to attack inflammation both
- 27:40Speaker 11: internally with our RS and then superficially we're our topical.
- 27:42Speaker 11: So our topical is our big seller. You try it,
- 27:45Speaker 11: you love it. It's great for authoriatis, it's great for the
- 27:49Speaker 11: professional athlete. And to that to the professional athlete, we
- 27:52Speaker 11: made it with a professional athlete in mind, because to
- 27:54Speaker 11: your point earlier, you know, we had some of these
- 27:56Speaker 11: things today. You know, maybe that's one of the things
- 27:58Speaker 11: I really wish I would have had you is our
- 28:00Speaker 11: topical just to beat down inflammation, whether it's my ankles
- 28:03Speaker 11: on my knees is something that can constantly use and
- 28:05Speaker 11: I used I use it today. So just being able
- 28:07Speaker 11: to have a product like that when I played with it,
- 28:09Speaker 11: maining play longer. Who knows, you know, but there's definitely
- 28:12Speaker 11: something that not only the professional athletes, but professional athletes
- 28:15Speaker 11: are using it. Because we went and got our NSF
- 28:17Speaker 11: for Sports Certification which allows athletes to use it so
- 28:20Speaker 11: they don't get popped for PDS. So that's crucial for
- 28:24Speaker 11: us to be able to, you know, achieve our goals
- 28:26Speaker 11: and have professionals using it. So looking forward to you know,
- 28:29Speaker 11: some ap stories coming out about some professional athletes using it.
- 28:31Speaker 11: So that's that's really been the dream of ours.
- 28:34Speaker 1: You think you could, I don't know, get in three
- 28:37Speaker 1: catches a game now right now, and I feel.
- 28:40Speaker 11: Like I'll blow a tire out the first time. I'm
- 28:43Speaker 11: running full speed and I try to change direction. I'm
- 28:46Speaker 11: not going back the other way. I want to keep
- 28:48Speaker 11: on going that way.
- 28:49Speaker 2: How hard are you training now? Just in general life, I'm.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Not really training hard.
- 28:53Speaker 11: I walk a run every day, I get my three
- 28:56Speaker 11: miles in at least, and I work out twice a week.
- 28:58Speaker 3: I push it a little way twice a week.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Are you still in Detroit?
- 29:01Speaker 3: Yep, still live in Michigan.
- 29:03Speaker 11: And I met my wife here, started business here, so
- 29:06Speaker 11: probably gonna be for a little while.
- 29:08Speaker 2: And how do you feel about the Lions' success right now?
- 29:13Speaker 3: Love it? Love it because it's coming from an authentic place.
- 29:17Speaker 3: You know, you got Brad.
- 29:19Speaker 11: I mean it starts at the top of she but
- 29:20Speaker 11: I always say that, But you got Brad Holmes, you
- 29:24Speaker 11: got Dan doing his thing, you know, being just a
- 29:29Speaker 11: I mean just just being a player coach. You know,
- 29:31Speaker 11: you got a player head coach, and then you got
- 29:33Speaker 11: a staff full of player coaches. Like guys are going
- 29:35Speaker 11: to your athletes are going to be more inclined to
- 29:38Speaker 11: pick up any tidbits that those coaches are dropping off
- 29:41Speaker 11: because they've been there and done the things that you
- 29:43Speaker 11: want to do. I was fortunate enough to have a
- 29:45Speaker 11: player coach, you know, when I played in Sean Jefferson,
- 29:47Speaker 11: So I already know how that goes. Like I know
- 29:49Speaker 11: the guys are, they're locked in, you know, they're tuned
- 29:52Speaker 11: in to what's being said.
- 29:53Speaker 3: And it's a beautiful thing because you see the results
- 29:55Speaker 3: on the field.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I want to talk for a second about the Lions
- 29:57Speaker 1: game last week, and not so much that specific game
- 29:59Speaker 1: of golf.
- 30:00Speaker 2: He didn't have an incompletion in the whole game, and.
- 30:02Speaker 1: You know, and a lot of these quarterbacks now it's
- 30:04Speaker 1: a lot of checkdowns, a lot of cover to you know,
- 30:06Speaker 1: two high safeties keeping the big play from happening. Was
- 30:10Speaker 1: that not happening a lot while you were playing because
- 30:13Speaker 1: they're acting like, now, it's such an epidemic. It's all
- 30:15Speaker 1: two safeties running cover to trying to shut down all
- 30:18Speaker 1: the big plays.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Was that not happening as much or did you just bully.
- 30:22Speaker 3: It that was happening.
- 30:25Speaker 11: I mean, yes, that's the decordinator's jobs to stop that
- 30:28Speaker 11: big play receiver, that big play.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Threat from going off. So they're definitely going to have
- 30:31Speaker 3: a shell.
- 30:32Speaker 11: If not to have a shell, they're going to have
- 30:33Speaker 11: that safety and another maybe one or two DB's like
- 30:37Speaker 11: triangulating that receiver that they want to take out the game. So, yeah,
- 30:40Speaker 11: that stuff's been happening. You know, we just busted the
- 30:42Speaker 11: top off of that thing.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Was there ever a time that run like cover zero
- 30:45Speaker 1: against you and there was no safety, right, there's nobody
- 30:47Speaker 1: back and you're like, oh my god, this is for sure.
- 30:49Speaker 2: You just get me the ball, it's over.
- 30:51Speaker 3: That was really rare.
- 30:52Speaker 11: If they're going to run covers happened rarely, more so
- 30:55Speaker 11: maybe on a goal line situation or just in a
- 30:58Speaker 11: situation where we just didn't expect. Maybe they came with
- 31:00Speaker 11: it all out, But I'm sure there was times that
- 31:02Speaker 11: have happened.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Did you have very.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Often like a hand sign like you look over Stafford.
- 31:07Speaker 1: That just show me the freaking ball, Like, how was that?
- 31:09Speaker 11: Oh yeah, there's multiple hand signs. This just depends on
- 31:12Speaker 11: what route he wanted me to run. You know, if
- 31:13Speaker 11: he wanted me to just run an run a quick fade,
- 31:16Speaker 11: you might just throw a finger down.
- 31:17Speaker 3: You know. We had all the signals from all the
- 31:19Speaker 3: every every route had a signal.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Talk about going to Georgia Tech as a what was
- 31:23Speaker 1: your freshman year like? And did you show up physically
- 31:27Speaker 1: where you could compete immediately?
- 31:30Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 31:30Speaker 11: Man, when I got to Georgia Tech, I mean tough
- 31:33Speaker 11: as school man, tough as nails. You know, if you don't,
- 31:35Speaker 11: if you don't have your academic hat on, you're going
- 31:37Speaker 11: to get failed out of it. But definitely they do.
- 31:40Speaker 11: Coach chan Gaily threw me in the fire day one.
- 31:42Speaker 11: You know, I was making plays day one and then
- 31:44Speaker 11: that's why I ended up playing as a freshman my
- 31:47Speaker 11: whole year. So I was fortunate to have Chang Gaily
- 31:50Speaker 11: throw me in the fire like he did. You know,
- 31:51Speaker 11: I didn't believe. I think he told me that you
- 31:53Speaker 11: know company there, that he don't put me in there
- 31:55Speaker 11: right away, but.
- 31:56Speaker 3: I didn't believe it.
- 31:56Speaker 11: I'm a freshman, come in, you got like you know,
- 31:58Speaker 11: you got you know, you got sophomore, junior seniors that
- 32:01Speaker 11: have experienced and you just do me in the fire
- 32:03Speaker 11: and you know, I just, you know, just put the
- 32:06Speaker 11: blinders on.
- 32:07Speaker 3: It went to work.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Did you fill your freshman year three four or five
- 32:09Speaker 1: games into it like you're like, oh, I'm I'm already
- 32:12Speaker 1: competing or a metal level where I can outperform these
- 32:16Speaker 1: nineteen twenty twenty one year old kids, or did it
- 32:18Speaker 1: take you a little bit?
- 32:19Speaker 3: Man?
- 32:19Speaker 11: It's my second game, my second game. We went down
- 32:22Speaker 11: to Clemson, went on Depth Valley a night game talking
- 32:26Speaker 11: about places rocking, and we went there and I caught
- 32:28Speaker 11: a game win touchdown and.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Shut that he can put it overtime. Maybe I don't
- 32:32Speaker 3: remember if it's overtime or not.
- 32:33Speaker 11: Caught a game winning touchdown there or no, it was
- 32:35Speaker 11: eleven seconds left on the clock when I caught that thing,
- 32:38Speaker 11: and man, that was a welcome to America.
- 32:43Speaker 1: What about high school? Like, how man amongst boys? Were
- 32:46Speaker 1: you in high school? Were you just dominating everyone in
- 32:48Speaker 1: high school?
- 32:49Speaker 11: I really didn't really, you know, get my footing until
- 32:51Speaker 11: my eleventh grade year. I was playing JV a little
- 32:55Speaker 11: bit my playing JV and varsity my sophomore years, They're
- 32:58Speaker 11: trying to get me into you know, just give me
- 32:59Speaker 11: the feel of it. You know, I was dropping balls
- 33:01Speaker 11: left and right to call me butterfingers, you know, all
- 33:03Speaker 11: that kind of craziness, and uh, you know, I just
- 33:06Speaker 11: kind of, you know, put the work in after that
- 33:07Speaker 11: junior year because I was like, man, I can't be
- 33:09Speaker 11: out here dropping balls. And so then had a great
- 33:12Speaker 11: I had the stellar senior season and had offers from everywhere.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Were you also playing punt return like packages with quarterback?
- 33:19Speaker 1: Were you such an athlete that were putting you everywhere
- 33:21Speaker 1: to just have the ball in your hand?
- 33:24Speaker 11: I played mostly receiver. I ran some reverses and whatnot,
- 33:26Speaker 11: but I was I was strictly receiver. I was six
- 33:29Speaker 11: four and then just all bones.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Oh so you were you were a skinny six four.
- 33:34Speaker 2: I was.
- 33:34Speaker 3: I was like one eighty five in high school.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's pretty.
- 33:38Speaker 3: That's a pretty And then I left college at two forty.
- 33:41Speaker 1: What did that weight all come on because of like training,
- 33:43Speaker 1: eating or was it just like you just put it
- 33:46Speaker 1: on naturally genetically through those years?
- 33:49Speaker 3: It was it was it was a natural thing.
- 33:51Speaker 11: Over every every year, probably put on another ten pounds,
- 33:54Speaker 11: but it was I mean, I worked out like a
- 33:56Speaker 11: mad man. We ate good, and it was just still
- 33:59Speaker 11: had like, you know, than six percent or less body fast.
- 34:02Speaker 3: So it was all muscle.
- 34:03Speaker 11: And I remember when I got to the league, they
- 34:05Speaker 11: wanted me to play at like two thirty two to
- 34:07Speaker 11: two thirty five, and I'm like, dude, Like the things
- 34:10Speaker 11: I had to do to get down to wait on
- 34:12Speaker 11: Friday or Saturday, it was ridiculous. I'll be taking cast
- 34:15Speaker 11: role and I'll be running to the tour at two
- 34:17Speaker 11: in the morning just clear my system, and then after waiting,
- 34:21Speaker 11: I have to just pump everything back into me.
- 34:24Speaker 4: Calvin, what do your friends call you?
- 34:27Speaker 2: Man?
- 34:27Speaker 3: It just all depends who it is.
- 34:28Speaker 11: Family they call me, see you know anybody else you
- 34:32Speaker 11: might call me Cayle Calvin. And then if you don't
- 34:34Speaker 11: really know me, they might be calling me making trying
- 34:36Speaker 11: on the streets.
- 34:37Speaker 7: All right, So, cal So, what do you think about
- 34:41Speaker 7: the current pass interference rules? What would you change about them?
- 34:46Speaker 11: And not only in the pasting interference room, it was
- 34:48Speaker 11: just touching folks after five yards, man, I mean it's
- 34:52Speaker 11: just it's so subjective, you know, to whoever's calling the.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Calling them doing the flag.
- 34:59Speaker 11: You know almost you see, it's just some inconsistency there
- 35:01Speaker 11: on what might be a PI or what might be
- 35:05Speaker 11: a hold or whatnot. So I just wish I had
- 35:08Speaker 11: the rules when I was playing, because I was draggon.
- 35:10Speaker 11: I was dragging people down the field all day. I
- 35:12Speaker 11: would have been I would have had a lot more
- 35:13Speaker 11: yards with that was the case.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Do you wish that the refs would take a look
- 35:17Speaker 1: at some of these passinger ference calls?
- 35:20Speaker 3: I wish there was I wish they could do. I
- 35:23Speaker 3: wish they could be challenged.
- 35:24Speaker 11: Are cases I'm like, man, that was not a PI
- 35:27Speaker 11: or whatnot. But for the most part, you know, they
- 35:29Speaker 11: get it right for the most part. I can't say that.
- 35:32Speaker 1: What's your favorite NFL catch of your career that you
- 35:35Speaker 1: think back like, that's the one. If they were only
- 35:36Speaker 1: going to show one clip of me, this would be
- 35:38Speaker 1: a man.
- 35:40Speaker 11: That's tough man. I mean, my favorite just because of
- 35:44Speaker 11: where we were in the game. We didn't win the
- 35:46Speaker 11: game with playing Cincinnati Bengals, and Matthew was about to
- 35:48Speaker 11: get sacked by my former teammate Mike Johnson in college,
- 35:52Speaker 11: he was on his toes and he looked. He launched
- 35:54Speaker 11: that thing fifty sixty yards and I went up on
- 35:58Speaker 11: it was pac Man was there around it perfected and
- 36:01Speaker 11: was right there.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Reggie Nelson was right there.
- 36:04Speaker 11: I can't pronounce the other safety thame that was on
- 36:06Speaker 11: my back, but I had three four guys in the
- 36:08Speaker 11: immediate vicinity went up on and brought that thing down
- 36:11Speaker 11: that I think it ended up tying the game late
- 36:14Speaker 11: third or fourth quarter, So that was a big moment.
- 36:15Speaker 3: We did end up winning the game, but that was
- 36:17Speaker 3: a hell of catching up.
- 36:18Speaker 1: You ever make one of those catches where you didn't
- 36:20Speaker 1: realize you caught it. You're like, oh my god, I
- 36:21Speaker 1: can't believe I caught that ball. Like you came down
- 36:23Speaker 1: there's arms and legs everywhere, and you're like, I cannot
- 36:24Speaker 1: believe I actually have this ball.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Even though those happened all the time.
- 36:28Speaker 11: You know, the reason that those happened is because you're
- 36:31Speaker 11: so used to doing some of those things in practice
- 36:34Speaker 11: that it becomes instinctial. So you're like, damn, like, I
- 36:37Speaker 11: don't even remember how that happened.
- 36:39Speaker 3: To your point, what about the one.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Hand catch, because everybody's doing it now, did you train
- 36:42Speaker 1: doing one hand catches because I feel like they weren't
- 36:44Speaker 1: as prevalent back when we were a little younger.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:47Speaker 11: No, I never trained on one handed catches like you
- 36:49Speaker 11: see guys before the game. I was always two handed.
- 36:52Speaker 11: I only caught a ball one handed out of the necessity.
- 36:54Speaker 11: I feel I only caught like like three maybe one
- 36:56Speaker 11: hand passes in my career. And my thing was like
- 37:00Speaker 11: thing I was always coached. You know, if you get
- 37:02Speaker 11: two hands on it, get two hands on it. Because
- 37:04Speaker 11: one thing that frustrates me, and I see it every year,
- 37:07Speaker 11: see these guys that come out here and try to
- 37:09Speaker 11: catch in one hand, either they do have alligated arms
- 37:12Speaker 11: or they just don't make the play.
- 37:13Speaker 3: And I'm just sitting here like how easy would it
- 37:15Speaker 3: have been to get that other hand out there?
- 37:19Speaker 2: It urks the hell out of Hey, what's Turf to you?
- 37:22Speaker 2: R F?
- 37:22Speaker 1: I know it launched earlier this year, so and i'd
- 37:25Speaker 1: seen that it was like, uh, inspired by tech Mobile,
- 37:28Speaker 1: which I played a lot when I was a kid.
- 37:29Speaker 2: So what is turf?
- 37:31Speaker 11: Yeah, Turf is so primitive is our main brand. Turf
- 37:34Speaker 11: is more more economical brand, you know, So we said
- 37:37Speaker 11: it to begin with greatness. They want to be the
- 37:39Speaker 11: great products that everybody can enjoy. So is our economical
- 37:42Speaker 11: brand of flour and gummies.
- 37:44Speaker 2: So it's like the junior varsity version.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Is that there you go.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I need it like broken, I need I need like
- 37:51Speaker 1: very very simple for me. No, I'm going to get
- 37:53Speaker 1: some of this primitive I can and I can order
- 37:55Speaker 1: it right like I can order it be SENTI me here.
- 37:57Speaker 3: If you're in Michigan, you can, Wow, that's you know, cannabis.
- 38:00Speaker 3: You can there's no interstate you know commerce, but anything
- 38:05Speaker 3: on the CBD site Permitive Performance dot Com. Yeah, you
- 38:08Speaker 3: can get that.
- 38:09Speaker 2: That's what I gotta get then in Michigan. And I
- 38:11Speaker 2: ain't trying to go to jail. I want to.
- 38:14Speaker 6: I want to.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Hey, So with the NFL adding games and you you know,
- 38:19Speaker 1: holding the record for yards, I don't know, do you
- 38:21Speaker 1: feel like they're adding a game it gives people more
- 38:23Speaker 1: of an opportunity to break a record that probably would
- 38:25Speaker 1: have never been broken.
- 38:26Speaker 3: One percent. It's gonna get I mean, at some point
- 38:28Speaker 3: it's going to happen. You know.
- 38:29Speaker 11: You see, guys got close for a couple of years
- 38:31Speaker 11: and then I mean I feel like every year that
- 38:32Speaker 11: they might be get you closer maybe not last year,
- 38:34Speaker 11: but every year they get closer and closer. Man, all
- 38:36Speaker 11: you need is a good healthy quarterback and a good
- 38:39Speaker 11: healthy receiver for seventeen games now, and it's definitely possibly
- 38:43Speaker 11: saw Tarik and see how his quarterback went down. You know,
- 38:45Speaker 11: he had a great start to the season, but that
- 38:48Speaker 11: severely impacted your ability if you don't have a stability
- 38:51Speaker 11: at that quarterback position to attain that.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Final three questions.
- 38:55Speaker 1: How important. We're seeing this with a couple of teams
- 38:58Speaker 1: that I can go to. The Dallas Cowboys, that's my
- 39:00Speaker 1: buddy Eddie's favorite team.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Love them.
- 39:01Speaker 2: They don't really in my opinion, they don't really have
- 39:04Speaker 2: a number two.
- 39:05Speaker 1: I mean, Brandon Cooks is a good receiver, but I
- 39:07Speaker 1: feel like that they're not getting the output out of
- 39:09Speaker 1: him that they expected. So it's hard for the And
- 39:13Speaker 1: I'll use you as an example. If you don't have
- 39:15Speaker 1: a solid number two, does it make your life so
- 39:17Speaker 1: much harder as a number one?
- 39:18Speaker 11: No, one hundred percent, And let me let me start here,
- 39:20Speaker 11: like I don't know a lot of hell, Dallas is
- 39:22Speaker 11: America's team. They ain't won like for these thirty years.
- 39:25Speaker 11: That probably should be like the Patriots, right now or something.
- 39:27Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 39:28Speaker 11: They don't even deserve it right now. Anyway, I'm off track.
- 39:32Speaker 11: But now as far as that number two receiver, man,
- 39:34Speaker 11: you gotta have it. I remember when I got Golden
- 39:36Speaker 11: Tate here, Nate Burrolson as well. You know they're able to,
- 39:39Speaker 11: you know, to make some plays and you know, at least,
- 39:42Speaker 11: you know, make the defense think about them. You know,
- 39:45Speaker 11: not saying that Brandon Cooks can't do that, but you
- 39:47Speaker 11: still I think you need to get another guy with
- 39:48Speaker 11: some stature that could go across them, that can do everything.
- 39:52Speaker 11: You know, you can't just have put them in one
- 39:54Speaker 11: place and be like, okay, I want move CJ around
- 39:56Speaker 11: and just leave you in one place. You got to
- 39:58Speaker 11: move them both around. You got to keep the defense guessing.
- 40:00Speaker 11: And not to say that Brandon Cooks can't do it,
- 40:02Speaker 11: but it wouldn't hurt to have somebody there, like uh,
- 40:05Speaker 11: I mean, can you imagine if they still had a
- 40:07Speaker 11: MARII Cooper and CD. I know, obviously the numbers don't
- 40:10Speaker 11: make sense as far as what they got to pay
- 40:11Speaker 11: the guys, but you know you kind of need that
- 40:13Speaker 11: dual presence.
- 40:14Speaker 3: You know.
- 40:14Speaker 11: I've never I was never fortunate to have like a
- 40:17Speaker 11: twin tower situation, you know, I mean that would been awesome.
- 40:19Speaker 11: You know, I remember growing up watching Clemson back in
- 40:22Speaker 11: the day and they always had two big receivers and
- 40:24Speaker 11: they used to kill guys back in the day.
- 40:26Speaker 3: But no, man, that's that That is a uh.
- 40:30Speaker 11: That was a dream of mine. But just getting another
- 40:32Speaker 11: guy over there that can make plays and make it
- 40:34Speaker 11: it has the respect of defensive coordinators, has their attention
- 40:37Speaker 11: to the all defenses. You got to have that if
- 40:39Speaker 11: you want to let one, I mean, if you want
- 40:41Speaker 11: to have uh that the other receiver get off.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Kansas City has they have Xavier Worthy, who's rookie and right,
- 40:49Speaker 1: he's a downhill guy at least that's what he was
- 40:51Speaker 1: in Texas, and that's a bit what he is now.
- 40:53Speaker 2: But they've lost everybody. Like what is Kansas City to
- 40:56Speaker 2: do with out a real number one or number two?
- 41:00Speaker 2: Like what would be your advice to them?
- 41:02Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, I heard of Mark Cooper out there.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Yeah, Davante Like the Raiders just said they would trade
- 41:08Speaker 1: DeVante Adams.
- 41:09Speaker 2: But like that costs money.
- 41:11Speaker 3: That costs money.
- 41:13Speaker 11: You still got these guys on your staff that you're
- 41:14Speaker 11: going to want to have there for years of really
- 41:16Speaker 11: rice hell of a receiver. But yeah, he just went down,
- 41:19Speaker 11: you know, So it's tough. Man, It's gonna be a
- 41:22Speaker 11: heck of my feet. And I mean we already know
- 41:24Speaker 11: Patrick Mahome is great, but man, if he could get
- 41:26Speaker 11: them even close to sniffing up Super Bowl, I mean, damn,
- 41:29Speaker 11: Like the kid is the kid?
- 41:31Speaker 2: Is it?
- 41:32Speaker 4: Cal?
- 41:32Speaker 7: When you stopped playing, what was the one thing that
- 41:34Speaker 7: you were able to do? Because it was it like
- 41:37Speaker 7: stay up late on Saturday nights, you know, because like,
- 41:40Speaker 7: what was the one thing that you could finally do
- 41:42Speaker 7: because you're not playing anymore?
- 41:44Speaker 3: You know.
- 41:44Speaker 11: When I was playing, you know, I worked my tail
- 41:46Speaker 11: off while I was playing, so I always look forward
- 41:48Speaker 11: to the time that was gonna be able to just
- 41:50Speaker 11: go sit on my couch and just chill out and
- 41:52Speaker 11: do nothing, have.
- 41:54Speaker 3: The clicker in my hand, you know.
- 41:55Speaker 11: But that didn't last for two weeks, you know, and
- 41:58Speaker 11: after I retired, because we're so used of being on
- 42:00Speaker 11: the go from being from high school on up, you know,
- 42:03Speaker 11: consistently have a schedule going from one thing to the next,
- 42:07Speaker 11: So that kind of just like, you know, just having
- 42:09Speaker 11: that built in for so long, it's kind of hard
- 42:11Speaker 11: to get away from that. So I instantly, you know,
- 42:14Speaker 11: it was like what's next. You know, it's time to
- 42:15Speaker 11: put my business hat on. So I went into doing
- 42:17Speaker 11: some franchising. Didn't really love it then really it wasn't
- 42:21Speaker 11: really passionate about it. So sold that off and then
- 42:24Speaker 11: continue doing real estate, real estate until the cannabis industry
- 42:27Speaker 11: came online in Michigan and just by chance, you know,
- 42:30Speaker 11: we're buying properties and you know, Boston properties in the
- 42:32Speaker 11: quote unquote green zones. And we had to make a
- 42:35Speaker 11: decision at that point whether we want you want to
- 42:37Speaker 11: be a tenant and collect the passive love check or
- 42:40Speaker 11: start a business, and we chose the latter started a business.
- 42:42Speaker 11: Now we've been in this thing like shoot seven maybe
- 42:46Speaker 11: go on here about at least seven years and got
- 42:48Speaker 11: a team of at least sixty people.
- 42:49Speaker 3: You know that we're that we're that we leave.
- 42:52Speaker 1: If Calvin Johnson was telling me real estate, I buy
- 42:54Speaker 1: a house, even if I didn't need it for sure,
- 42:55Speaker 1: I'd be like, oh, yeah, you're a real estate guy.
- 42:57Speaker 2: I'll take two.
- 42:59Speaker 4: Cal were you showing how this is the living room?
- 43:01Speaker 11: I wasn't actually, you know, I was working on getting
- 43:04Speaker 11: my real estate license, and then I stopped doing that
- 43:06Speaker 11: when the cannabis industry came online, so we were just
- 43:09Speaker 11: buying properties and just you know, being landlords.
- 43:11Speaker 4: Got it all right.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Final two things.
- 43:13Speaker 1: After you retired, did you ever have a moment where
- 43:15Speaker 1: you're like, I think I may want to give it
- 43:16Speaker 1: a shot again.
- 43:17Speaker 11: I mean, you think about it, and then what makes
- 43:20Speaker 11: me second guess that? Even was like, Okay, so I
- 43:22Speaker 11: did my camps every year at Detroit, and you know,
- 43:25Speaker 11: I mean, I am doing my camps, just showing the
- 43:27Speaker 11: kids a couple of drills, and I'll get home that
- 43:30Speaker 11: night and like after a game, like I'm like, I
- 43:32Speaker 11: can't let my feet. I'm dragging my feet across the
- 43:35Speaker 11: floor just because everything's swollen. And I was like, damn,
- 43:38Speaker 11: I'm just doing a campus showing some drills to these
- 43:40Speaker 11: kids and I can't even move. So I knew that,
- 43:43Speaker 11: Like it wasn't didn't take long after I retired. I
- 43:45Speaker 11: mean I knew I was done just because of where
- 43:47Speaker 11: I was as a buidy. When my body was like
- 43:49Speaker 11: trying to put in the same level of effort and
- 43:52Speaker 11: work in the off season, all the things that I
- 43:54Speaker 11: did to get ready, it just wasn't it was hurting
- 43:57Speaker 11: so much that it took all the zepth, all the
- 43:59Speaker 11: fun out of what we're actually trying to do and accomplish.
- 44:02Speaker 1: A lot of trophies, a lot of balls behind you.
- 44:05Speaker 1: The final thing I'll ask.
- 44:06Speaker 2: You is like, what what's your favorite piece of memorabilia
- 44:09Speaker 2: behind you or what's one that you see now that
- 44:11Speaker 2: you can tell us a story about.
- 44:13Speaker 11: Mmmm.
- 44:15Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 44:16Speaker 11: I mean I got one back there with with my
- 44:21Speaker 11: I had a touch or touchdowns with my son's birthday.
- 44:25Speaker 11: But I mean, I'll tell you one thing, man, I
- 44:27Speaker 11: only have a ball for this. But should We played
- 44:31Speaker 11: that snow game and in Philly that year, Like before
- 44:34Speaker 11: the game it was sunny, and you come out like
- 44:37Speaker 11: you know, we go in, you know, warming.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Up and go in. You put your jersey and foot me,
- 44:40Speaker 3: you put you pass stuff on. You come back out.
- 44:41Speaker 11: They're snow on the ground, Go back in, come back
- 44:44Speaker 11: out for the game. It's like six inches of snow
- 44:45Speaker 11: on the ground. But the significance of this game was
- 44:48Speaker 11: it wasn't anything that happened in the game. It was
- 44:50Speaker 11: my parents. They came to the game, and so after
- 44:52Speaker 11: the game and Mom was going to the airport and
- 44:54Speaker 11: she slipped and fell and from that, you know, they
- 44:56Speaker 11: wouldn't got her. She got checked up and she found
- 44:58Speaker 11: out she had pancreated to cancer. And she's still here
- 45:00Speaker 11: with us today only because you know, she fell at
- 45:03Speaker 11: that game, so she wasn't at that game, we would
- 45:05Speaker 11: never know she wouldn't be here with us today. So
- 45:07Speaker 11: you know, that's one of the most you know, just me,
- 45:09Speaker 11: just I think that, you know, timing is everything. You know,
- 45:13Speaker 11: God puts people, you know, puts you in opportunities in
- 45:16Speaker 11: your life. But you have to be ready. You have
- 45:18Speaker 11: to go work to tell off to be ready to
- 45:21Speaker 11: be to accept the step through that door when those
- 45:23Speaker 11: challenges come. And I was just fortunate to be playing
- 45:26Speaker 11: in the NFL at the time so that you know,
- 45:28Speaker 11: this situation did happen. And you know, I said, she's
- 45:31Speaker 11: still here with us today and she was that she
- 45:33Speaker 11: celebrated on Sunday as a thank you at a cancer
- 45:35Speaker 11: survivor so that's or Monday. So that was pretty.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Awesome, great story, Thanks for sharing that.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Congratulations and so check out Primitive So what's the website

- 48:09Speaker 10: Your Razorbacks play Tennessee this weekend? Where do you rank
- 48:12Speaker 10: the balls on your top five most Hated teams?
- 48:15Speaker 1: Power Rankings for the most hated at number five, North Korea.
- 48:20Speaker 1: That makes sense, I'm listening to all these are the
- 48:22Speaker 1: groups I hate the most, the North Korea regime. I'm
- 48:25Speaker 1: sure the people are fine, but like the North Korea
- 48:27Speaker 1: at five, Cobra Kai at.
- 48:29Speaker 7: Four, Oh, are you talking like eighties Cobra Kai or
- 48:32Speaker 7: the new Cobra Kai.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Both well when they're bad like in the in the movies,
- 48:37Speaker 1: but also for parts of the Netflix series that I watch.
- 48:39Speaker 1: I know it's shifted because I don't know good people
- 48:42Speaker 1: turned bad back to but Cobra Kai at number four,
- 48:45Speaker 1: at number three of my most Hated teams list, Kentucky basketball,
- 48:49Speaker 1: I know we're talking football about put Kentucky basketball number three.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Again, they can hugg a root, kick rocks, huggar root.
- 48:58Speaker 2: I've never heard that, and lick on these new whoa.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Those are the three things that Kentucky basketball as a
- 49:04Speaker 1: group can do do. I like the people individually absolutely,
- 49:07Speaker 1: as a group difficult, so hug ondes.
- 49:12Speaker 2: That's why I say Kentucky basketball.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Number two, Tennessee, oh number two more than North Korea
- 49:21Speaker 1: and Cobra Kaine.
- 49:22Speaker 4: But again as a group, right, because.
- 49:25Speaker 1: You have all yeah, kind of individually too, but okay, no,
- 49:29Speaker 1: I've I have all fan friends.
- 49:30Speaker 2: But as a group, I think it's been a couple
- 49:33Speaker 2: of things. With Tennessee. One, they were our constant whenever
- 49:36Speaker 2: SEC SEC East, SEC West does.
- 49:38Speaker 1: A whole thing, and you played one constant across, so
- 49:41Speaker 1: we were West and our one we played every year
- 49:43Speaker 1: with Tennessee. South Carolina was our constinant as well. We
- 49:47Speaker 1: did have dropping Tennessee after a while, But because we
- 49:49Speaker 1: played Tennessee so often, you start to form a rivalry.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Not only that nineteen ninety eight were undefeated. We fumble
- 49:56Speaker 1: the ball on a drive or we just had to
- 49:58Speaker 1: take the ball. That we're playing national championship, we do
- 50:00Speaker 1: they beat us. They didn't cheat and do anything except
- 50:02Speaker 1: piss us off and played rocky top after we fumbled
- 50:04Speaker 1: the ball.
- 50:05Speaker 2: They just made a documentary about the nineteen ninety nine season.
- 50:07Speaker 1: It's called Like the re Emergence, and we beat them
- 50:10Speaker 1: and kept them out of the National Championship Game in
- 50:11Speaker 1: ninety nine, So there are games that actually made that
- 50:14Speaker 1: a bit of a rivalry.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Tennessee fell off.
- 50:17Speaker 1: For a long time, and we were kind of good
- 50:20Speaker 1: after that because the part of Houston and the barby
- 50:22Speaker 1: Patrino era. We were averaging nine wins a season for
- 50:25Speaker 1: ten years, which is good because we had some ten
- 50:27Speaker 1: to eleven game win seasons. So Tennessee is at number two.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Texas is number one for sure. Sure, Yeah, it's just Orange, man.
- 50:37Speaker 1: I'm sprised syrac used to make the list for no reason.
- 50:39Speaker 1: They're just Orange, so I don't but no. And also proximity, right,
- 50:44Speaker 1: big deal too. Texas Southwest Conference were it's a bit
- 50:48Speaker 1: before me. But everybody in the generation above me. When
- 50:52Speaker 1: you're in Arkansas, you are just told you must hate Texas.
- 50:55Speaker 1: They're bigger, they have more money, they have more of
- 50:58Speaker 1: a history, and we're a little brothers' play.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Just to hate your big brother.
- 51:01Speaker 1: The Texas rivalry is humongous, from us to them, from
- 51:05Speaker 1: them to us not so much.
- 51:07Speaker 2: That's a little insulting, by the way, but it is
- 51:09Speaker 2: what it is.
- 51:10Speaker 4: We're not even thinking about you, not really.
- 51:12Speaker 1: We beat them the last time we played, and we
- 51:13Speaker 1: stormed the field. They ended up going three and nine
- 51:17Speaker 1: that year, didn't matter. At the time, we thought they
- 51:19Speaker 1: might be good. We stormed the field.
- 51:20Speaker 2: It was awesome.
- 51:21Speaker 10: Is that like a West Coast version of because I
- 51:23Speaker 10: didn't even know that until I moved out here.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Biggie Tupac. Correct, it's exactly what it.
- 51:26Speaker 10: Is, exactly what I was, Kobe, No, I was thinking
- 51:30Speaker 10: UCLA and USC U c l a little brother.
- 51:33Speaker 2: I think they both kind of hate each other.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Though.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Texas really doesn't hate us because we're just like a We're.
- 51:38Speaker 2: Like a little gnat on them.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and we've been problematic to them over the years
- 51:44Speaker 1: at times.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Texas hate us because we're just little goofballs. That's true.
- 51:48Speaker 7: Having a school he runs city though, that's gonna be tough.
- 51:51Speaker 7: USC and U c l A like they're both La, right.
- 51:54Speaker 2: La is so big though, and USC runs I mean, yeah,
- 51:57Speaker 2: but LA is so.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Big that they have multiple sports teams, two schools, they
- 52:03Speaker 1: got a couple of gas stations, a few nine says,
- 52:08Speaker 1: so that.
- 52:08Speaker 2: Would be my list, and I hate sorry, go ahead
- 52:10Speaker 2: all right? Although they are nine point favorites.
- 52:12Speaker 10: Do you think Ole Miss is in trouble this weekend
- 52:14Speaker 10: at South Carolina?
- 52:16Speaker 2: I don't. I think I would hate to play ole
- 52:19Speaker 2: Miss after they lost that.
- 52:20Speaker 4: Game, because they're gonna be pieased.
- 52:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a big emotion guy.
- 52:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 52:26Speaker 2: You're they're really good.
- 52:27Speaker 1: I'm sure they were discounting Kentucky. You start to believe
- 52:31Speaker 1: in what everybody tells you are, even if you don't
- 52:35Speaker 1: mean to, even if you're saying you're not.
- 52:36Speaker 2: It's kind of hard.
- 52:37Speaker 1: So I think they thought they'd go in and just
- 52:39Speaker 1: take care of Kentucky, and they did not.
- 52:41Speaker 2: I think now a bit of a reality check.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Because they lose another one, there's a shot they will
- 52:47Speaker 1: not be in the College for Ball playoff.
- 52:48Speaker 2: So now it even matters more. They're not even allowed
- 52:51Speaker 2: to lose another game.
- 52:52Speaker 1: That's the thing too about these teams, even if they're
- 52:54Speaker 1: not overlooking the who's eating cereal?
- 52:59Speaker 2: Thank you?
- 53:01Speaker 1: I think that's a new element of it too, is
- 53:03Speaker 1: where everybody doesn't have to be extreme one hundred percent
- 53:05Speaker 1: dialed and focused on losing every game because you can't
- 53:07Speaker 1: lose a game.
- 53:09Speaker 2: So you're gonna see these big school I mean, look
- 53:11Speaker 2: at who was it the week Missouri Vanderbilt.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Yeah, like they almost lost that game. But I think
- 53:17Speaker 1: teams now they don't have to feel like, oh god,
- 53:20Speaker 1: we can't ever lose, want to get I think there's
- 53:22Speaker 1: kind of a little room for error.
- 53:26Speaker 2: But I think they're gonna run it. Really, I think
- 53:28Speaker 2: you do. So that's only three and one. They're good.
- 53:30Speaker 10: Yeah, and LSU should have lost to South Carolina. At
- 53:32Speaker 10: South Carolina, that's a tough place.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. I just think oll miss I wouldn't
- 53:36Speaker 1: want to come off that loss. If they were coming
- 53:38Speaker 1: off will win, I think I would feel different about it.
- 53:40Speaker 1: And I think coming off that loss is they're going
- 53:43Speaker 1: to be pretty motivated to not let that happen again.
- 53:45Speaker 4: Is Rocket Sanders running back at South cauth Carolina?
- 53:48Speaker 2: No, hey, yeah, okay, I thought I heard him. I
- 53:51Speaker 2: was watching the LSU game and I was like, what
- 53:53Speaker 2: he's over there. I did not know that. Raheem Rocket Sanders. Yeah,
- 53:55Speaker 2: dude did some a lot of nil with him.
- 53:57Speaker 4: That's where we met him.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, what else?
- 53:58Speaker 3: All right?
- 53:59Speaker 2: NFL?
- 53:59Speaker 10: Here with the ports of the Raiders willing to trade
- 54:01Speaker 10: Devonte Adams, which team do you think you go after him?
- 54:05Speaker 3: Ah?
- 54:05Speaker 2: You know, I know you want me to say Cowboys.
- 54:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 54:08Speaker 4: Here's the I didn't think you.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Here's the interesting thing about this trade. In the DeVante
- 54:15Speaker 1: Adams contract, they basically have to pay him thirteen million dollars.
- 54:18Speaker 2: That's it forever.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Now he's making you know, thirty thirty, whatever those numbers are.
- 54:25Speaker 1: The next two years, those are not guaranteed years in
- 54:27Speaker 1: the contract, so and we're already for games in those
- 54:33Speaker 1: game checks have already been paid for this year. So
- 54:36Speaker 1: with the money left for this season, it's basically like
- 54:38Speaker 1: thirteen million dollars thirteen or fourteen. I'm gonna be a
- 54:40Speaker 1: little fuzzy on the numbers because I don't have anything
- 54:41Speaker 1: in front of me here that says that they don't.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Those next two years are not guaranteed. So a team
- 54:48Speaker 1: that gets him and he does not have no trade
- 54:49Speaker 1: clause from what I see and know. So let's say
- 54:53Speaker 1: they trade him too. Let's just pick a team, the Vikings.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Then I can turn the Vikings. But he goes to
- 54:57Speaker 1: the Vikings, they pay them thirteen million bucks and they're like, cool,
- 55:00Speaker 1: we rented you for a year.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Now you're a free agent. Do your deal. They could
- 55:03Speaker 2: do that. He's thirty two, yeah, I.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Believe, so that's not old old in receiver world. It's
- 55:10Speaker 1: like the thirty year old running back. So it's not
- 55:14Speaker 1: going to be the massive financial commitment that a lot
- 55:19Speaker 1: of folks think it may be. If you just look
- 55:20Speaker 1: at his contract, because those two years are not guarant
- 55:23Speaker 1: you're not on the hook for sixty.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Five seventy eight million dollars. You're all look for thirteen million.
- 55:29Speaker 10: It's pretty dangn good for him. Thirty one.
- 55:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so it would be fun if he went
- 55:36Speaker 2: to the Chiefs.
- 55:37Speaker 4: I don't know what I mean, they need him?
- 55:39Speaker 3: No?
- 55:39Speaker 2: Why do you say?
- 55:40Speaker 10: Because I like Devontae Adams and I hate players that
- 55:43Speaker 10: I like go to teams that I don't like.
- 55:44Speaker 2: They have no Budy's selfish.
- 55:46Speaker 5: The Raiders trade them to the Chiefs is like a
- 55:48Speaker 5: division rival right.
- 55:49Speaker 2: The Raiders will do whatever they can do to get picks.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Who are they rivaling?
- 55:53Speaker 3: Right?
- 55:53Speaker 2: The Raiders aren't redersn't rifles anyway, ready to rivals on.
- 55:56Speaker 4: But yeah, Vegas, they suck. Vegas don't even like them.
- 55:59Speaker 1: The Raiders arrivals to RENOFL team, yes, so, and that
- 56:08Speaker 1: is always a concern, right, And we saw an inner
- 56:10Speaker 1: division trade earlier this year that was kind of rare.
- 56:12Speaker 2: I forget maybe it was the Eagles they got oh
- 56:17Speaker 2: yeah commanding, Yeah, yeah, so rare, But do happen?
- 56:22Speaker 1: And I think the Raiders just need something because he's
- 56:25Speaker 1: not gonna play again, and he's if you don't get something,
- 56:30Speaker 1: you're going to get nothing. And I don't think they're
- 56:32Speaker 1: in a place where even if they were to trade
- 56:34Speaker 1: them to a division rival, whatever they gets really not
- 56:37Speaker 1: gonna affect any time when he's playing, because what's he
- 56:39Speaker 1: got two three years left of really?
- 56:42Speaker 2: Yeah, Casey just wants someone in the Jets's why get
- 56:46Speaker 2: there and getting there?
- 56:46Speaker 1: So I think the Chiefs will be interesting. The Chiefs
- 56:50Speaker 1: can't mess with anything on their defense because their defense
- 56:52Speaker 1: is really good and it gets overshadowed a lot because
- 56:54Speaker 1: they have Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelcey and they've won
- 56:57Speaker 1: Super Bowls. But their defense is really good. But they're
- 56:59Speaker 1: gonna have to rely on their defense to ken it
- 57:01Speaker 1: and they have to get them through some of these games.
- 57:04Speaker 1: So Chiefs will be fun. They need a wide receiver.
- 57:07Speaker 1: They're gonna have to get one somewhere. I don't know
- 57:09Speaker 1: where they're gonna get it. Like an Adam Thinlam would
- 57:11Speaker 1: be interesting for the Chiefs then too, because.
- 57:13Speaker 4: They need he hurt.
- 57:15Speaker 2: He's hurt, Yeah, but he's not dead. He's not a
- 57:17Speaker 2: ton a but he's not young. I think they I don't.
- 57:19Speaker 2: I think he's coming back though. Yeah, he he didn't die.
- 57:24Speaker 1: So are somebody like that, like a a middle of
- 57:27Speaker 1: the field possession receiver. Again, they've got speed on the outside.
- 57:31Speaker 1: They need somebody who can just catch the ball. I
- 57:33Speaker 1: mean Rashi Rice was doing a lot of that, a
- 57:34Speaker 1: lot of the.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Short routes middle of the field. So they just need
- 57:38Speaker 2: somebody to run routes. Chiefs be interesting. Cowboys would be awesome.
- 57:42Speaker 4: That'd be great.
- 57:43Speaker 1: We need him and a lot of It's like, oh,
- 57:45Speaker 1: they don't have any money again, but they're not committed
- 57:47Speaker 1: to seventy million dollars with them.
- 57:49Speaker 2: They're committed to thirteen.
- 57:50Speaker 4: Yeah that changes everything, it does.
- 57:52Speaker 2: But how eager and motivated is he going to be
- 57:57Speaker 2: to play when he doesn't have another year.
- 57:59Speaker 1: They don't add they don't guarantee another year or so
- 58:01Speaker 1: on the contract unless he just wants to go play
- 58:03Speaker 1: for a team that has a shot to.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Win this year.
- 58:05Speaker 1: Nobody, nobody wants to go play their final year of
- 58:08Speaker 1: their contract and play hard and get injured and be old,
- 58:14Speaker 1: and all those are factors there. If you're twenty five
- 58:17Speaker 1: in your dominant if you're Brandon AYUK twenty six, twenty
- 58:19Speaker 1: seven and your deal's coming up, it's last year deal
- 58:22Speaker 1: and you get hurt, that's okay because even if you
- 58:25Speaker 1: take a year off, which doesn't happen, you're still young.
- 58:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and what are they gonna do? Hey, modern man,
- 58:32Speaker 2: modern medicine. Modern medicin is pretty nean.
- 58:34Speaker 4: We've heard about it.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Yeah, So it's different with him though, Like I don't
- 58:36Speaker 1: know if he's gonna want to go and not make
- 58:39Speaker 1: business decisions at thirty two with at least another year
- 58:42Speaker 1: in this contract.
- 58:44Speaker 2: So cowboys be fun. Brandon Cook has gone that what
- 58:46Speaker 2: happened to?
- 58:46Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, you got like an infection or something
- 58:48Speaker 5: like that.
- 58:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know a week either.
- 58:51Speaker 5: I just saw he was out, like wait what Yeah,
- 58:53Speaker 5: it was like, I think he got surgery and then
- 58:56Speaker 5: the surgical area got infect Do you have him in
- 58:58Speaker 5: that fantasy or no?
- 59:00Speaker 1: I just was I just saw Brandon Cooks out and
- 59:03Speaker 1: I was like, I don't remember an injury.
- 59:04Speaker 4: And he played fine on last Thursday.
- 59:07Speaker 1: So they're number two, which even Calvin Johnson was talking
- 59:11Speaker 1: about not really a number two.
- 59:12Speaker 2: They need somebody. He wasn't even now he's hurt.
- 59:15Speaker 4: Who is bad?
- 59:16Speaker 2: Who is it? Now?
- 59:17Speaker 4: It's bad?
- 59:17Speaker 7: Tolbert, Tolbert, We got tolver Albert needs to be a
- 59:21Speaker 7: full back. And then the little guy turping. I mean
- 59:22Speaker 7: that's the way.
- 59:23Speaker 10: He was a good full back. Mike Colbert, Yes, he
- 59:26Speaker 10: was good.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Oil When I see him catch a ball, I'm like,
- 59:28Speaker 2: he's just playing the wrong position. Mike Tilb had a
- 59:31Speaker 2: little belly. Remember that he was a little bull.
- 59:34Speaker 4: This guy's name the Steelers.
- 59:36Speaker 2: The Steelers are interesting. Huh.
- 59:39Speaker 5: I didn't even hear that one.
- 59:40Speaker 4: That's the one.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Yeah, he's just not going to get the ball a lot.
- 59:45Speaker 2: They're not going to blow your doors off offensively.
- 59:48Speaker 10: Yeah, you're not gonna want to go from Aiden O'Connell told, Yeah.
- 59:53Speaker 1: I don't even know if it's an I probably would
- 59:55Speaker 1: want to go from Vegas to anywhere though that organization.
- 59:58Speaker 1: But I don't know that the Steelers is where I
- 59:59Speaker 1: would to go because they're not going to really run
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: an offense that highlights you, especially if they're not gonna
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: pay you two more years. Maybe you go to the
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Steamers if they guarantee the next two years, because then
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: you know you're gonna.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Get that seventy million. But if they don't, I would
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: not want to.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Go play in Pittsburgh because they're basing a lot of
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: their success off their defense as well.
- 1:00:15Speaker 7: When you demand a trade, do you have a choice,
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: Like are you telling them like that's where I want
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: to go.
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: No?
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: But yes, but no, NBA players have a little more power.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but you still can't force it. We saw like
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Lillard try that, Yeah, and he wanted to go to
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Miami and that didn't work. So then he goes to
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: the city that's closest to Miami in every way, right
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: down the road.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: So no, but I mean they'll probably listen.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: But it's like, Okay, if you want to go to
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: trade there, let's see what they'll offer us. I'm sure,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: but if you have no trade clause, everything's different.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: But the answer is no, they don't. They don't have to.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: The final one is there's.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Two hold I'll get I'll get to the big two
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: that make the most sense. But I think even the
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Bills make a little sense because they.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Got no one they could I don't know.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know the receivers.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Number one, and I think he's developing into that. But
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: you're right, I don't think he's a number one right now.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I think he's a one and a half or a
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: really good two one big possession.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: You were just saying, yeah, I think he's JV T. Higgins.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: So the Bills are a place that he could possibly go.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Now it gets to the big two now that make
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: the most sense because of the relationships the Saints. He
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: went to Vegas to follow Carr like he left Green Bay,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Roger leaving green Baby left that he left to go
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: because you want to play Derek Carr.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: That's this guy called as this guy from college. So
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: I've even read the.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Stories to say he's he's open to going to the
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Saints and they may actually be okay, new head coach
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: and offense. According to the running offense, they're throwing the ball.
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: Like if you followed him to the Raiders and you
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: weren't that good?
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: Like, why do it again?
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Because Josh mcda the coach.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it could be an offensive philosophy, it could be
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: a ton of brea, but you're seeing Car. He's playing
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: a lot better because he's he's in a but he's
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: in a position to actually play better the coaches That
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: offense allows him to make throws that he can make.
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: You love Car Man.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: I like Car. I think he was. It's a bad
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: running with the Raiders. They suck.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: They suck in every way. So why are we going
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: just Car sucks? No, everybody sucks. What's the common theme
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: the Raiders? Not every player like Devont Adams sucks right
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: now and it sucked for two years.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: Does he suck? No, but every other the Raider sucks
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: because the Raiders suck.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: So uh.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: And then it's the Jets.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: Let's go baby?
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Is that what you want?
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: I mean, if it's gonna get rid of Hassan Reddick
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: and that whole thing. If I don't know that it is,
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: but I might. I mean, for the Raiders standpoint, you
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: got Max Crosby on one side and then a Son
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: Reddick on the other side. I mean, you could build
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: around that, you know what I mean? If you're trying
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: to reset here with Antonio Pierce defensive mind.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Beating a perfect scenario for you.
- 1:03:08Speaker 11: To make.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: He's like, here's what you got should do right, let
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: me break it.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Down for you right now.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Yeah, would you be willing to give up because they
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: want a second round pick?
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Plus? Would you be willing to give up a secon
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: round pick for de Montay Adams for one year? The
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: rest of this year?
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: I think? So? I mean this year is the all
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: in year.
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: I mean, I don't think we're gonna keep this whole
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: thing going next year if this is an utter failure.
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: So if it's just me, if we swing for the fences,
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: let's just get him. Like you said, we don't have
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: any commitment to him, so why not he knows Rogers.
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: The whole thing with Garrett Wilson right now is that
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: they're not on the same page.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Would you as.
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: That's tough, that's tough. Yeah, I don't know if you
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: could do that. You can't do that, you know, yeah,
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: I mean twenty four, Yeah, you can't do that.
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: If you're all in, Jets have an extra third round
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: pick this upcoming draft up they could give as well.
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: So there are there are ways to make it work.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: What about Garrett Wilson in a second and a third? No,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: DeVante Adams in a second and a third for Garrett Wilson.
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: I don't know if I could pull the trigger on that,
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: but I I think we need Garret Wilson. I think
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: I don't know. I would say no, do you guys
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: draft a quarterback this year? We might have to. I
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: don't know who it's gonna be, but.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: I hope it's not like that means you sucked.
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: Yeah, well yeah that then yeah, then we're definitely getting Shadder.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: If we have a chance to get Shadur, yeah, then
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: we're gonna blow up everything.
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: So I don't know. There's actually another.
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: Team that I think could be potentially interesting is the
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: Bengals if they swap T Higgins for Davante, Like if
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: you're going on because they're not gonna be able to
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: pay both receivers Jamar Chase and T Higgins, so why
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: not get rid of Higgins, give him to the Raiders,
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: You get Davante for the year, and then you're all
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: in this year on when with Burrow and Jamar Chase
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: before you got to pay Chase. Interesting, I thought that
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: might be.
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't hate it.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: I guess I never saw anybody talk about that that
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: knows more than I do, So I never really considered that,
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: But maybe you just heard because you're right. Even Calvin
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: John's talked about that. They didn't. He have so many
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: big stars in the show. Confused. If I'm gonna pick
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: just blindly, if they're like, beout one hundred bucks, I'd
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: bet the Saints. Yeah.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I think they feel like they really have a shot.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Maybe not this season, but I think they pay him,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: and they'd get him and then pay him. Yeah, and
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: he wants to go play the car. It's not the Raiders.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I probably I would probably bet the Saints.
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: But it's the least dysfunctional out of all the franchises.
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: That you could go to.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: The Chiefs would be at least well, Yeah.
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: I guess I'm still don't think that's I don't know.
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: The whole division thing I feel like is functional. Steelers
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: are weird, Jets are dysfunctional. Yeah, they're cool for the Chiefs.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: I like that, like that. Yeah, why do people hate
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: the Chiefs like Kevin?
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: Kevin's like Kevin's a big fat hypocrite. I'm gonna tell
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: you why, because he's like, no, the Patriots are nice.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: They were good.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: Yeah, we say babies crossing the street. And I'm like, well,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: you only people only hate him because they want a
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: whole lot.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: And he's like, yeah, that stupid. He's like it, Chiefs, Okay,
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: you're a hypocrite.
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: There's nothing unlike unlikable about the Chiefs.
- 1:06:20Speaker 10: You thought, what wait, what did Tom Brady do off
- 1:06:23Speaker 10: the field or off the field.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: But it's not the point. He didn't. That's not the
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: point the balls and spygate.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: But listen, my point is they just want so people
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: hated them unfairly, and you're doing that to the Chiefs.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: No.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: I just think that they don't. You don't want to
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: because they take away from your Patriots.
- 1:06:39Speaker 10: I don't want them to win, but I just don't
- 1:06:40Speaker 10: think that they get any flock that they should like.
- 1:06:42Speaker 10: They get a lot of the same class. Travis Kelseys
- 1:06:45Speaker 10: throwing a lot of fits doesn't get anything for it.
- 1:06:49Speaker 10: Twice and then mom, did you see his mom sold.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Team Tom Brady like to get touched on the shoulder flag.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: You're literally yelling at yourself five years ago right.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: Now, No, I don't understand it.
- 1:07:01Speaker 10: Okay, I'll be the first to say we did get
- 1:07:03Speaker 10: the calls, and we did, but you look back, I
- 1:07:04Speaker 10: think it was it was like Patrick Mahomes already had
- 1:07:08Speaker 10: more past interferences overturned or something like that than Tom Brady.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: Something like that. I'm moving on. Next question, hater, last
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: question here. How great is Tom Brady?
- 1:07:19Speaker 10: Do you think the Vikings or more likely to lose
- 1:07:22Speaker 10: the first game or the Jags more likely to win
- 1:07:24Speaker 10: the first game?
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: This weekend, the Vikings played the Jets in London. It's
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: at nine am game.
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: I like that. Yeah, those are cool.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: I rarely catch the beginning of it, but I don't care.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: I wake up.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: What do you mean?
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: I'm like, it's a halfway to the first quarter.
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: Oh wow, I love wake up, I said an alarm.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: I like, I don't know. I don't because I want
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: to wake up my own time and I like to
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: wake up like this. Oh.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: So they play the Jets in London. Sam Donald has
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: eleven touchdowns, three interceptions.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: The Jags play the Colts.
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: But it's the NFL, right, Like the Jags are gonna
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: win at some point. Yeah, but he's asking about this
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: week probably this week, is what I'm saying.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: And the Vikings are going to lose at some point.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: The Jags have to win, right you know. I like
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: about the Colts, though.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Joe, He's I think this could be the week where
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: they both win. I think the Vikings beat the Jets,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: but I think the Jags can beat the Colts.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: Sorry, dude, Hey there, you guess that's the tittle Tittle.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Thank you closing his name ever the tittle Tattle.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: So I'm gonna say this before we go, and we're
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: gonna beat this. Remember to beat this before we put
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: it up, and then we can play it back on Monday. Okay,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: I can just say what was beeped on Monday. So
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna beat what I'm about to say. But I
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: want to tell Eddie and get his reaction and then
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: I will tell everyone. I just can't tell you right now.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: I've been told I can't say anything about it, but
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it. I Mike can get your reaction.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Okay, so on back towards.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: Yes, yes, it's happening, So all that's we that's crazy, dude.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: We will tell you what it is.
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: That's the coolest thing I've ever heard like, I'm so
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: happy for you. Funny, that's amazing. Do you tell your wife?
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: Of course you told your wife? No, you haven't told
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: your wife. Are you just gonna Are you just gonna
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: let me? Are you just gonna let her find out? Yeah,
- 1:09:28Speaker 7: when it happens.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: But she also won't care.
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: Dude.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: If I'm telling you, I know my wife that stuff
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: doesn't impress her.
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: No, but what about she won't care?
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Say nothing, say say no more. I'm not gonna say
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: less because that means keep, but I'm gonna say say
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: no more.
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: I'm done.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: We'll tell you on Monday what it is. That's awesome, dude,
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: Pretty funny. Huh, that's awesome. Big games, real quick.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Michigan State a number six, organ Organs twenty three point favorite,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Syracuse number twenty five U and I be let's go
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: you and ob minus six and a half.
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: Why you wear a Syracuse shirt because that's my alma mater.
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: Man?
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: You would there?
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: Yeah, big orange baby.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: Either orange scrowm You don't like Illinois either, but I
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: do like Baltimore. I'm ruing for them there. I know
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: they lost like eleven in.
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: A row or whatever.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: Done, so.
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: I lost money on I got root for Baltimore.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: I feel bad for Orioles fans. Isn't that day? It's
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: eleven and something like that. You haven't playoff games in
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: a row, so I guess it was nine.
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: They've kind of been in free fall like ever since
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: the second half of.
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: The Sea sucks.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: I hate that for them. Penn State it's my UCLA
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: big favorite. Texas A and M's a favorite of Missouri,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: which is to me a bit crazy. But they're playing
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: in College station. Ohio State and Iowa. Not really a game.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Georgia Auburn not really a game. Ole Miss at South
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Carolina could be a game. Alabama at Vanderbilt not a game.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Tennessee at Arkansas not a game.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: It's only like thirteen. Yeah it's at Arkansas.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: This is the kind of game we win, just so
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: you guys know, and we're like, oh my god, we
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: just got injected with a little more hope. And then
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: we lose every game after that, including like Northwestern Louisiana's
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: cousins Maormount.
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: I hope you win.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: I hope we win too, and I'll be looking at
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: the TV. I just I can't.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: But just because I'm angry doesn't mean I don't care, right,
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: you care because or you're angry, you're you do care.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I can't like we blew to get we'd be and
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm not the guy that wo'd be this
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: if that, But I'm gonna be.
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: We blew. It wasn't like unlucky play. We blew two
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: games that we had handily. We be undefeated. We blew too,
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: not lost.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Not a ball didn't bounce our way because that happens
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: a lot.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: We undefeated right now, but we don't deserve to be unefeated.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: It makes me. It just pisses me off so bad.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: Miami at cow who cares?
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: Just let them go?
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: I what else? What do you do? Just let them
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: just sit there and sunk in?
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: It bothered me way too much. Okay, let's run these
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: real quick. Just give me a winner, real quick. Jets
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: at Vikings, that's in London. I'll go first, Vikings.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: J e t s just just Jets.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: Oh boy, so are you one of the Jets. I'm
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: gonna go Jets from my guy. Thank you, man, Eddie.
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: I mean, let's just be real Vikings.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: Oh wow, yeah, school.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: But Panthers at Bears Bears a four point favorite. But
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: who wins the game, I'm gonna go, you know, I
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: mean I've been I've been riding the Panthers anyway I
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: think over I didn't whoever is the quarterback, I always
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: have a trade, Bryce Shong, give the guy shot.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: We are saying, give Rise a.
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: Change, give him.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: Panthers at Bears. I'm gonna go Panthers.
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: I'm gonna say Panthers to Andy Dalton, Xavier get thank
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: you for fantasy this past week.
- 1:12:37Speaker 7: He's watching to Yeah. He pointed the camera on Eddie. Oh,
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: Panthers man, Andy Dalton. All the way the.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: Bears are for sure winning. Then we're like, oh god,
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: you going put the graphic up. Ravens at Bengals. That's
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: a good one.
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: It's a good one.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: They're playing in Cincinnati. The Bengals do not have a defense.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Their defense is a wet piece of paper. I'm still
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: gonna go with the Bengals. Wow, die Hard, Yeah, I mean.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: I bet him in the Super bowls Now, I'm like, yeah,
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: I'm not biased.
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: How to get that?
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Yeah, if they were to win this game, that'd be
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: huge in that division. The Ravens may also be the
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: best team in the NFL, even though they're just two
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: and two. If remember the loss of the Chiefs in
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: a crazy game when the Chiefs had better players and.
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: They had no business losing that Raiders game either, but
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: they did, and they did.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go. Bengals, are all you
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: guys going, Ravens, Ravens. You guys are intelligent. That's why.
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: Yeah, stopping Derrick Henry. Dude, how are they gonna stop
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: that dude?
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: Well, if you asked me, I'd say, hit him.
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: Low, take his links out. That's a good one they
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: tried to do.
- 1:13:34Speaker 7: You see that other guy that he tried to tackling
- 1:13:36Speaker 7: his shoulders, like.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I got knocked out. He looks like thin
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: though in that uniform I guess pads in the purple. Yeah,
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: like he looks good, looks like he lost some some
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: color weight.
- 1:13:45Speaker 10: Did you hear him talking about his diet? He like
- 1:13:47Speaker 10: doesn't eat till four o'clock in the.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: Long noon and all that stuff. One meal though, too, right, Yeah,
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: one meal day. I think you try that no sugar,
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: all that stuff reach It followed Derick Henry. Die I
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: was thinking about that Brown dolphinsive Patriots.
- 1:13:59Speaker 7: Oh God, such a toss up. Can they both lose
- 1:14:04Speaker 7: zero zero? That's a bet that it ends in zero zero,
- 1:14:09Speaker 7: and it's like.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: The Patriots are minus one. I don't think home field
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: is now considered three points anymore. I think it's considered
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: like one and a half to two points, So that
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: means neutral field Dolphins will be the favorite.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Dolphins. It's crazy that they can't play
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: offense without Tua.
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: Yeah, can't. There's nothing there.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: I thought to suck everybody they went, and again they
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: didn't have a brigad start of the season.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm gonna I still go Dolphins. You should
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: want Patriots to lose, even though it's your team. I know,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: you can't really want them to lose. You should see
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: the bone the benefit now of when they lose.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: It moves up.
- 1:14:47Speaker 10: We just lost our center to our best office lineman.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: You have a good one office. Yeah, So I go
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Dolphins and the Pats are gonna win this.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: Nice to get out Dolphins, Let's go Patriots.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: Nice? Why not going past?
- 1:15:01Speaker 8: Uh?
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Browns and commanders, commanders, you know, I think the commander
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: is gonna lay an egg think so that time?
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Yeah, a little too hype, a little too.
- 1:15:12Speaker 10: Hiphe Yeah, reality's got to hit at some point.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Browns have a decent defense. They're a little too hype.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Just because of that, I think it's time for them
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: to lose.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Browns.
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: I think it's gonna be a close one, but I
- 1:15:22Speaker 5: think the Commanders will still win.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Browns. By the way, I was just question,
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: why are we going to read Red doesn't watch football?
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: I know I love it.
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: Well, I'm waiting for him to go After his answer,
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: I think picks.
- 1:15:35Speaker 12: Which one of us he likes about Cane and then
- 1:15:44Speaker 12: what is the Commanders? Yeah, Washington, cults of Jaggs.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: Let's go Jags. Let's go Jacks.
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: They need to win one.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: This one read, Yeah, let's go man, here's a good one.
- 1:15:56Speaker 10: Bills at Texans, Yeah, Davante nothing, I'm sorry, it's the
- 1:16:01Speaker 10: fun digs back, it's.
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: The fun revenge games.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Bills.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: Same.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: That's hard.
- 1:16:07Speaker 7: I can't believe in I can't believe in the Texans anymore.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: Like I just I don't know.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: They ran them last week.
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: Stroud's getting figured out a little bit. Yeah, Yeah, Collins
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: is a beast.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: He's a bast he's a bad like freaking are thinking
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: of a game like weeks ago, No, just stroud.
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: His fancy points have been like, oh yeah, I have them.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: Last week I had thirty points. No, he got.
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: Seventeen or something like nineteen.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, the quarterbacks are doing good.
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: Though, that's not true. Daniels is like, I'm thinking about
- 1:16:33Speaker 7: starting them this week.
- 1:16:34Speaker 10: Jam Donald's like the best quarterback.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: You're right. Over all the quarterbacks are not because nobody's
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: throwing for high yards.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: Dak is pretty decent. He's been consistent.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Yeah, because they're way down and he just chunks.
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: Correct.
- 1:16:43Speaker 10: That's really because I have twenty four yeah four okay,
- 1:16:47Speaker 10: crowd last week?
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: Yeah no he had I have them. Yeah. So yeah,
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: I know he played well and he can put up thirty.
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: Yeah, because he's all right, let's go to Texans.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: No, I don't change it. We have four more Cardinals
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: and forty nine ers Niners.
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I really want the Cardinals to win because I
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: have Color Murray. Thanks for Packers at Rams, go pack girls. Yeah,
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: I think the Pack go ahead.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Put the pack cares. Yeah, it's a game. That's who
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: cares games whatever. Giants and Seahawks.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: It's got to be the Hawks.
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: Hawks Man.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: Cowboys at Steeler Steelers two and a half point favorite.
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: It's hard. This gonna be a good game, man, maybe
