- 0:30Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich.
- 0:31Speaker 4: Our phone numbers eight seven seven nine three seven one
- 0:34Speaker 4: oh four seven.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Haydon Wh's one of my favorite restaurants. Uh.
- 0:38Speaker 4: For some reason, it's very, very very difficult for me
- 0:40Speaker 4: to get into this restaurant. The one by my house
- 0:42Speaker 4: is always packed and I don't on weight line, but
- 0:43Speaker 4: it is delicious and it's healthy. It is one of
- 0:45Speaker 4: my favorite in town. Do you go through a lot
- 0:47Speaker 4: peyton ors, it's your first time?
- 0:48Speaker 6: Yeah, that's Kaden's favorite breakfast spot to go to, hands down,
- 0:52Speaker 6: so we go pretty often. It's called first Watch, Yes,
- 0:55Speaker 6: love First Yeah. They have this like million dollar bacon that.
- 0:58Speaker 7: Is like, oh that stuff should die for.
- 1:01Speaker 6: Their biscuits and gravy so good and so over the weekend,
- 1:05Speaker 6: Kadeem and I we didn't really have any plans, which
- 1:07Speaker 6: is the first for us to have like no plans
- 1:09Speaker 6: on a Saturday, and so we slept in. We were like,
- 1:11Speaker 6: let's just go to First Watch. Let's go get some lunch,
- 1:13Speaker 6: trun some errands and do whatever some brunch. I guess
- 1:16Speaker 6: because it was a little bit later. And so we're
- 1:18Speaker 6: sitting down, we're eating and I don't know if the
- 1:21Speaker 6: First Watch by us got new management or what, because
- 1:24Speaker 6: our food came out so hot we had to blow
- 1:26Speaker 6: on it. I've never had to blow on my food
- 1:28Speaker 6: at First Watch. It's actually probably my only problem with
- 1:30Speaker 6: First Watch until now.
- 1:32Speaker 2: So freak.
- 1:33Speaker 4: It's so fresh, too fresh.
- 1:38Speaker 6: Food exactly exactly like what is going on here? But no,
- 1:42Speaker 6: it was wild. We were enjoying our biscuits and gravy
- 1:45Speaker 6: and our Belgian waffles, and right behind us was this
- 1:48Speaker 6: family and it was so sweet. The mom she had dementia,
- 1:51Speaker 6: and so we were kind of like eaveshopping on their
- 1:53Speaker 6: conversation and they had one of her grandkids and it
- 1:55Speaker 6: was just a really cool moment to kind of just
- 1:57Speaker 6: like see them enjoy with her because she was like
- 1:59Speaker 6: this and I think he was the server or like
- 2:03Speaker 6: one of the hostess. I don't exactly know who the
- 2:05Speaker 6: guy came up, but he worked for First Watch and
- 2:07Speaker 6: he sang her Happy Birthday. And I literally turned, like
- 2:12Speaker 6: turn my head to watch him sing Happy Birthday because
- 2:15Speaker 6: this man had the voice of an angel.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Oh really, yes, between and Jesus did he do it?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Like all emotional? He did, That's what he did.
- 2:33Speaker 7: Yeah, he was good.
- 2:35Speaker 6: He's had way better than I did.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I think the Happy Birthday song is too long.
- 2:40Speaker 6: He did a short version, he did.
- 2:41Speaker 1: He did.
- 2:42Speaker 4: So you called First Watch and got his name in number,
- 2:47Speaker 4: So call him on the air and have him sing
- 2:51Speaker 4: Happy Birthday.
- 2:52Speaker 6: I hope, so, I hope Marshall. No, he's lucky.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Peyton, do you just want to
- 3:09Speaker 4: do you want to take the old thing?
- 3:10Speaker 2: You want me to do it?
- 3:11Speaker 3: No?
- 3:11Speaker 2: You do it because I'm getting feedback in my ear.
- 3:16Speaker 6: Okay, hell, Hi is this Marshall? Hi Marshall. Yeah, my
- 3:27Speaker 6: name is Peyton. I am with John Jay and Rich
- 3:29Speaker 6: were a morning radio show here in the valley. And
- 3:33Speaker 6: actually I yeah, I kind of called your job and
- 3:36Speaker 6: hunted you down for your name and your number. Well,
- 3:43Speaker 6: I was in having Yeah, in the studio, you have John,
- 3:46Speaker 6: Jay Rich and Kyle and here it's so, yeah, you're
- 3:51Speaker 6: on our show if you're down to kind of just
- 3:52Speaker 6: chat with us. But I was just telling them that.
- 3:55Speaker 6: Over the weekend on Saturday, I was having breakfast at
- 3:59Speaker 6: First Watch to my husband and behind us was a
- 4:03Speaker 6: table and you sang them Happy Birthday. And I came
- 4:06Speaker 6: up to you after and I was like, your voice
- 4:09Speaker 6: is like a sound of an angel. And you were
- 4:10Speaker 6: telling me how like she had dementia and it really
- 4:13Speaker 6: was close to your heart because of your mom. And
- 4:15Speaker 6: I just thought you were awesome. And I had to tell.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Them, oh, well that is amazing. Yeah, Like it's it's
- 4:24Speaker 3: really interesting because I've been in the service industry for
- 4:27Speaker 3: many years, and you know, I sing as a little guy,
- 4:30Speaker 3: you know, in church and stuff, and my mom's always
- 4:33Speaker 3: pushed me to try to do something with them, Like Mom,
- 4:34Speaker 3: what am I going to cut a record or something
- 4:36Speaker 3: like that's crazy. So in the moment seeing the happy birthday,
- 4:41Speaker 3: like it's such a small thing, but in some situations
- 4:45Speaker 3: it really really means a.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Lot to people. Like I've seen people cry, people get
- 4:51Speaker 5: really touched and like that particular moment as well, you know,
- 4:54Speaker 5: and my particular location, it would get a lot of snowbirds.
- 4:58Speaker 5: So we get a lot of people who celebrating some
- 5:00Speaker 5: pretty lengthy birthdays. I sang a happy birthday to a
- 5:03Speaker 5: gentleman who was one hundred and two years old.
- 5:06Speaker 6: Wow, it was.
- 5:08Speaker 5: A blessing, like an absolute like sorry, you're still walking
- 5:12Speaker 5: around and this is amazing. I have another customer. We
- 5:15Speaker 5: get a lot of vets that are in a restaurant
- 5:17Speaker 5: as well. Another gentleman that's over one hundred and two
- 5:19Speaker 5: years are over one hundred years old. I walked by
- 5:22Speaker 5: and I noticed a World War two vet hat on
- 5:24Speaker 5: and I was like, and I'm like, you're old. You
- 5:27Speaker 5: have to be to have gone to war in the forties. Probably,
- 5:32Speaker 5: how is this gentleman? So I waited till they were
- 5:34Speaker 5: done eating, asked him how the meal was and he
- 5:36Speaker 5: was like, oh, everything was crazy night. I was like, certain, man,
- 5:39Speaker 5: I asked, you know, how many years young are you?
- 5:40Speaker 5: And you started just hard and celebrated my one hundred
- 5:42Speaker 5: and second birthday. And I was just like another centurion
- 5:46Speaker 5: in my restaurant. So I, you know, I take the
- 5:49Speaker 5: chance I can to try to spend a little bit
- 5:51Speaker 5: of joy. It really meant a lot. And in that
- 5:53Speaker 5: particular situation, I could tell she was looking at me,
- 5:57Speaker 5: but she really didn't see me. And then when I
- 5:59Speaker 5: said her name and her daughter was rubbing her shoulder
- 6:02Speaker 5: for a moment, I could see that light kind of
- 6:03Speaker 5: came on and it just it's kind of touched my
- 6:05Speaker 5: heart a little bit.
- 6:06Speaker 2: So what's the money you are, Marshall? What location are you?
- 6:12Speaker 5: We're at the first watched Fulton Ranch.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Okay, so we want we want people to come by
- 6:17Speaker 4: and support you. Hey, can you do a little bit
- 6:19Speaker 4: of that birthday song for us? Rich as Ah?
- 6:24Speaker 3: Sure?
- 6:24Speaker 1: Sure, Happy birthday too, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Demon, read right, Happy birthday to you.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Hell goes.
- 6:59Speaker 6: That's the last.
- 7:02Speaker 7: If you're looking for a job, I know so many
- 7:04Speaker 7: musicians that would love to play music with you. If
- 7:07Speaker 7: you sing jazz, you sound like a jazz standards guy.
- 7:10Speaker 7: I could keep you busy the entire Christmas season.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Oh man, you now that right there is a big deal.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Like our family is huge on Christmas.
- 7:22Speaker 3: About that.
- 7:23Speaker 5: I got a s Christmas songs already in my repertoire,
- 7:26Speaker 5: Like we really really go hard for Christmas.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Touch, Can we I mean, obviously you're you're very talented singer.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Can I ask you to sing another song? Hopefully you
- 7:37Speaker 4: know the words.
- 7:39Speaker 5: I'm sure you know something else I know, I don't know.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Just tell him you know Shaun Mende's stitches.
- 7:47Speaker 4: No, No, is there another song you sing, Marshall like
- 7:51Speaker 4: a just anything?
- 7:52Speaker 2: I just want to hear it.
