- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Hello, are you guys ready for my part two?
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: So it is still September 30th.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: The year is still 2026.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: The time is 740.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: You know, today is the last day of the third quarter.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: So my family and I are at a Chinese food restaurant.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: So while we're waiting for our food, I'm gonna do this recording real quick, real quick, in the car.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: So I have an email.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Where is this?
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: I have an email from the barber instructor that's been discriminated against me.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: It's 11:15 in the morning.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Destiny, under the direction of the Dean of Student Services, you are not permitted to attend class this evening.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: I don't have my glasses on, but this is what it says.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Prior to returning to class, you will need to meet with the Dean of Student Services.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Information regarding the meeting and any next steps will be communicated to you through the appropriate administration channels.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: And then it has her ending and her name.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Okay, so you notice it is 741.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: I have not received why I'm not allowed to come to school.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: But we all know it's because I'm black.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: So remind you, if you don't know the barber instructor, the barber instructor told me over the summer that she would be my instructor next semester and she would send me home.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: How many times have I been sent home for being black?
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: I've been suspended for being black.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: So the school is well aware of that this is affecting my mental health, it's affecting other students' mental health.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: They don't give a fuck.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: And I let them know.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: So when I brought it to their attention, now they want to have mental health contacting me.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: They don't give a fuck.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: The dean told me that I could be suspended for being black.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Tomorrow is August 1st.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Beetlejuice show time.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Tomorrow.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Remind you, it's been almost a year.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: We probably have in the in the email that I got yesterday, I believe it read there was six more sessions of school.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: So does today make four or five?
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Because the email started a couple of days ago.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: So school's almost finished.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: They think they're winning.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Like, destiny's not permitted to go to school.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: So destiny's gonna lose her hours, and destiny's gonna continue to fail.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: See, this was her goal, and so um, I'm relaxing.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: I took all my barber stuff out of my car, my kids helped me.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: I told the students yesterday that I was wrapping this shit up, you know, and that I pretty much was continuing to go to barber school to help them.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: All the students are very smart, but you get sent home when you don't have your supplies.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: When you have an instructor stressing you out, not being able to clarify what's happening, not doing lecture correctly, how are you supposed to remember to bring everything?
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: So I try my best to bring extra supplies to help the students because I don't want anybody to get sent home.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: You know, this is teamwork.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: So the school is upset, they're trying to close my voice, and it's not gonna work.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: So I don't need to discuss any personal conversations that I've had with students, whether or not if I had them or not, that's none of their business.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: You know, there is enough evidence that shows I was discriminated against.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: Remind you, I received a letter from the civil rights stating that there were five things that go under Title V that they were gonna be investigating.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: They it read that I submitted a significant amount of evidence for them to proceed.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: So they think that affecting my mental health, making my anxiety sky high, discriminating against me because I'm black, that they are gonna win.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: I continue to tell them that I'm protected by God and I know the outcome.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: I literally just went to school to learn.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: I love being black, I'm never gonna stop being black, you know, and a lot of the students are failing.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: They have this instructor who abuses drugs, smokes on a smoke-free campus, thinks she's bigger than the program.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: She also went to this college, so she has some type of vendetta against this college.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: She wants to be the only cosmetologist barber in the world.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: She wants to fail all the students, pay the school back for whatever they did to her.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: You know, but I am so thankful.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: I am so blessed that I am not this instructor, that I'm not her family member, that I'm not her friend.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Sign up to become a barber to be discriminated against.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: But pay attention how I've been emailing them, emailing paper trail, emailing them, letting people know by phone, email, in person that I'm being discriminated against, how it's affecting my mental health, you know.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: I don't give a fuck to ever go to that school.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: I can't wait to eat this Chinese food.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: Well, you guys have a great night.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: Thank you guys for listening to me.
