- 0:00Speaker 1: Toby and Chili Mornings on demand on ninety seven point
- 0:04Speaker 1: one washout.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Out every week. At this time, I'm gonna let you
- 0:07Speaker 2: in a little bit into my mind in the way
- 0:09Speaker 2: it works, before we turn the microphones on to say
- 0:12Speaker 2: good morning. It's ninety seven point one WASHFN We're Toby
- 0:14Speaker 2: and Chilly in the morning. On Fridays, I hear Rebecca
- 0:17Speaker 2: Black singing in the back of my head for whatever reason,
- 0:19Speaker 2: remember her, She went all viral because mom paid for
- 0:23Speaker 2: her to record a professional looking video called It's Friday
- 0:26Speaker 2: a Fry. Yeah. I know, it's just weird random things
- 0:30Speaker 2: that pop into my head, but you know what, it
- 0:32Speaker 2: is Friday, and that's a good reason to be getting
- 0:34Speaker 2: up starting a brand new day. Why are you feeling
- 0:36Speaker 2: good today? They're chiliamar.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I'm getting together with some of my I call them
- 0:39Speaker 3: my cousin sisters, my female cousins tomorrow for brunch. We
- 0:43Speaker 3: try to do it at least once a quarter. At
- 0:46Speaker 3: least once a quarter.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I'm feeling good today because I'm trying to help somebody
- 0:49Speaker 2: find something.
- 0:50Speaker 3: They lost their wallet. This well, oh it is a wallet,
- 0:54Speaker 3: so their name is in it.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yes, Okay, I was not playing if you go to
- 0:57Speaker 2: our insta, you'll see, like I shut like a live
- 1:00Speaker 2: video because I know what it's like. I know what
- 1:03Speaker 2: it's like to lose this stuff. And that's one of
- 1:05Speaker 2: the reasons why I wear an air tag around with
- 1:07Speaker 2: my key to the office. You found it in the office,
- 1:09Speaker 2: and then I found it downstairs. I found it in
- 1:12Speaker 2: the lobby of the elevator.
- 1:14Speaker 3: You know, with the internet stuff, you could probably do
- 1:16Speaker 3: a quick search of their name and see something.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Well, I have gone to that point yet, because you
- 1:20Speaker 2: know how I can be in the morning and if
- 1:22Speaker 2: I go down that rabbit hole, I would that'd be
- 1:24Speaker 2: late saying.
- 1:24Speaker 4: The good news is the person will be found.
- 1:27Speaker 2: And they did. I have their driver's license and some
- 1:29Speaker 2: credit cards in the bank drive card. Yeah, well that's
- 1:32Speaker 2: on the driver's license, even the date of birth.
- 1:34Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. So you can ship it back
- 1:37Speaker 3: to them safely if you need to. So it's great,
- 1:40Speaker 3: that's the plan.
- 1:41Speaker 2: If I don't hear from them today, I'm gonna go
- 1:44Speaker 2: drop it. I'm going to overnight it, so there's receipts exactly.
- 1:48Speaker 2: You know what I mean. That way, it's like, you know, safe,
- 1:50Speaker 2: but anyway in the meantime, if you're listening and you
- 1:52Speaker 2: lost your wallet, it's actually a card holder. It's a
- 1:55Speaker 2: certain color, and it's got a certain brand on the
- 1:58Speaker 2: front of it, and you're driver's license is in it,
- 2:01Speaker 2: so I already know who you are. Eight sixty six,
- 2:03Speaker 2: Night two, seven forty three sixty one. Because nobody needs

- 2:42Speaker 3: company Regeneron to lower drug prices, saying that this is

- 2:49Speaker 3: its price for Americans. A metro bus caught fire last
- 2:53Speaker 3: night in DC's Ninth Street tunnel, sending thick black smoke
- 2:57Speaker 3: into the area. Thankfully, no one was injured and the
- 3:00Speaker 3: cause is unknown. A high tech car theft ring operating
- 3:04Speaker 3: in DC has been dismantled, with six men indicted on
- 3:08Speaker 3: charges that were tied to stealing and selling vehicles. Prosecutors

- 3:22Speaker 3: Police and Laurel are asking for the public's help after
- 3:24Speaker 3: more than twenty airbags were stolen from cars, mainly in

- 4:46Speaker 3: I means you're gonna tell us a lyric from a
- 4:49Speaker 3: nineties song to get us all into a good headspace.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Just to clarify, it could be eighties, but we've been
- 4:54Speaker 2: kind of on a nineties roll. Because you're best of
- 4:57Speaker 2: the eighties and nineties week and are on in the nineties.
- 5:00Speaker 2: It's like a brand new decade of stuff that you
- 5:03Speaker 2: might not remember, Like maybe from ninety six, do you
- 5:06Speaker 2: remember the song by Paula Cole called I Don't Want
- 5:08Speaker 2: to Wait. Well, Paula is gonna inspire us today. She says,
- 5:13Speaker 2: I don't want to wait for our lives to be over?
- 5:16Speaker 2: So what does it mean? What does she mean? In
- 5:18Speaker 2: the chorus of that song from ninety six, she's telling
- 5:21Speaker 2: us that life is not a dress rehearsal, and it's
- 5:23Speaker 2: not I don't want to wait for our lives to
- 5:26Speaker 2: be over. If you just keep waiting or you keep
- 5:29Speaker 2: going through dress rehearsals, are you really living your life?
- 5:34Speaker 2: Just something to think about this morning from Paula Cole
- 5:36Speaker 2: and remember your best of the eighties and nineties weekend

- 6:11Speaker 3: have already accomplished on your bucket list.
- 6:13Speaker 4: We'd love to hear it.
- 6:15Speaker 2: When you get to the bottom of your bucket list,

- 6:20Speaker 6: Now?
- 6:20Speaker 2: It's ninety seven point one watch FM Toby and Chilly
- 6:23Speaker 2: in the morning. The one thing I know is that
- 6:24Speaker 2: it's healthy to have those goals that are quote bucket
- 6:29Speaker 2: list goals, and they're especially important today.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Because it's National bucket List Day. So what is on yours?
- 6:34Speaker 3: Eight sixty six nine two seven four three six one.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Something on my bucket list? To take a wellness retreat
- 6:42Speaker 3: trip by myself that with friends, nothing, just me trying
- 6:46Speaker 3: to heal myself emotionally, spiritually, all those things.
- 6:49Speaker 4: What about you travel?
- 6:51Speaker 2: I would like to take maybe two weeks and just
- 6:54Speaker 2: go from country to country.
- 6:56Speaker 3: You're somebody I've imagined would want to visit all seven continents,
- 7:00Speaker 3: you know, maybe.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Not Antarctica because I just don't as as spectacular as
- 7:05Speaker 2: it might.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Be, but every little continent, just to see a little
- 7:08Speaker 4: bit of this, a little.
- 7:09Speaker 7: Bit of that.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Yeah, just and I want the local flavors, and I
- 7:12Speaker 2: actually want time to be able to take it all
- 7:15Speaker 2: in because God knows. Sometimes for me it's like hit
- 7:18Speaker 2: and run. Ninety seven point one wash FM. You've got
- 7:20Speaker 2: the number. What's on your bucket list? Let's start with
- 7:23Speaker 2: LaToya good morning in Fort Washington.

- 7:28Speaker 7: definitely wasn't invited.
- 7:29Speaker 4: To, you know, the tucks, champagne, the whole thing, just
- 7:33Speaker 4: to see if I could pull it off.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I think you could definitely pull it off if you
- 7:36Speaker 3: act like you know what you're doing and you're by yourself.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yep. And if you do crash a wedding this summer,
- 7:41Speaker 2: if it's at the Inn at Perry Cabin and Saint Michael's,

- 8:00Speaker 2: That's certainly one way to do it.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Just be careful when you're landing.

- 8:21Speaker 7: with like a tour group or something and just leave
- 8:25Speaker 7: my friends at home.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Sometimes that's what you gotta do, and there's nothing wrong

- 12:07Speaker 3: National bucket list Day, and by sharing each other's bucket list,
- 12:10Speaker 3: maybe we'll inspire one another to get on it.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I would love to add some of your stuff
- 12:17Speaker 2: to my personal bucket list. Let's start over here in Alexandria, Nicole,
- 12:21Speaker 2: what is on your bucket list this morning?
- 12:24Speaker 7: I want to run a marathon. Even though I currently
- 12:27Speaker 7: get winded tying my shoes. I've accepted that it may
- 12:30Speaker 7: take some spiritual growth and physical therapy, and that's probably
- 12:34Speaker 7: a personality change and a little bit.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Of discipline, because if you follow like a coaching schedule,
- 12:40Speaker 3: you can get there.
- 12:41Speaker 4: We believe in you.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yes, that's right. We believe you will run a marathon.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Thank you and have a great morning on this National
- 12:50Speaker 2: bucket list Day. Nicole and Upper Marlborough, Tiffany, what's on

- 12:54Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 12:55Speaker 7: I want to go up in a helicopter.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Why is that?
- 12:57Speaker 4: I mean you've flown before, right.
- 12:59Speaker 7: Yeah, and them lots of playing small and large. But
- 13:02Speaker 7: I want to, you know, just stop in the middle
- 13:04Speaker 7: up there and look around.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I have the privilege of being in a helicopter once
- 13:08Speaker 3: over some airspace here in the DMVF. I'll tell you
- 13:12Speaker 3: those turns they could be frightening.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I just want to know if someone can get me
- 13:16Speaker 2: a ride in a marine one. That'd be fun. In Springfield, Brian,
- 13:20Speaker 2: bucket list, what you got, Believe it or not.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Space travel is on my bucket list.
- 13:25Speaker 7: I so I probably won't be able to do it,
- 13:27Speaker 7: but you know it's on there just in case I
- 13:29Speaker 7: somehow get that opportunity.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Save up your money, because space tourism could become a thing.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Yep, SpaceX fifty five million dollars per seat and you
- 13:38Speaker 2: get to go into space, unlike Blue Origin that just
- 13:41Speaker 2: goes past the Carmen line. Don't ask how I know
- 13:43Speaker 2: rabbit holes. They're a thing. Brian, thank you talking about
- 13:47Speaker 2: bucket lists on this National bucket List Day. What's on yours?
- 13:52Speaker 2: You've got the number you know about talk back, hit

- 14:00Speaker 2: about the bucket list today with Toby and Chilly in
- 14:03Speaker 2: the Morning ninety seven point one. Watch them jump into
- 14:06Speaker 2: our conversation about what's on yours at eight six six
- 14:09Speaker 2: ninety two, seven forty three sixty one, or when you
- 14:11Speaker 2: tap the talk back microphone you'll see it right there
- 14:13Speaker 2: if you're signed into your iHeart app.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Today would be National bucket List Day and we have
- 14:18Speaker 3: loved getting your phone calls with y'all sharing what is
- 14:22Speaker 3: on your bucket list?
- 14:23Speaker 2: And in Oxen Hill this morning, Angelaia, good morning, what's
- 14:28Speaker 2: on yours?
- 14:28Speaker 5: I want to do it right along with the police.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Why is that?
- 14:31Speaker 5: I think their life is so exciting.
- 14:33Speaker 8: Even the most boring police officers will have something unusual
- 14:37Speaker 8: happen during the day that wouldn't normally happen to me.
- 14:40Speaker 2: True, like you know, busting purps, stop and crime.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Especially if you do the graveyard shift.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Whoo.
- 14:46Speaker 4: You'll see a lot of stuff then, and especially.
- 14:48Speaker 8: After I saw the movie called Right Along, I was like,
- 14:50Speaker 8: I want to do a ride along.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Iver got the chance, I'm gonna do it.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Well if you do, just be safe, all right, because
- 14:55Speaker 2: we need all the listeners we can get around here
- 14:57Speaker 2: At ninety seven point one watch FM with Toby and
- 14:59Speaker 2: Chill in the morning to Leesburg, Meghan, which.
- 15:02Speaker 7: God, I'm scared to do it, but I've always wanted
- 15:06Speaker 7: to try sky diving.
- 15:07Speaker 6: I found this place in Florida that does it, and.
- 15:09Speaker 4: I'm really considering it.
- 15:11Speaker 7: Of Course, I'm worried about the heights and the parachute
- 15:13Speaker 7: not working, but I know it would be so awesome
- 15:17Speaker 7: to do well.
- 15:17Speaker 4: There are plenty of places locally. You don't have to
- 15:19Speaker 4: go to Florida.
- 15:21Speaker 2: She's ragged, Meghan. Why wait till some ofer vacation. You
- 15:24Speaker 2: could go this weekend if you wanted to. In Northeast DC, Angie,
- 15:28Speaker 2: good morning, what's up?
- 15:29Speaker 4: Oh my god, I'm embarrassed to say this.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Speak your truth. Don't be embarrassed. You're amongst friends.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Okay.
- 15:35Speaker 3: I really love to travel, but I'm afraid of flying.
- 15:38Speaker 3: So my bucket lisp.
- 15:40Speaker 6: Instead of being to travel somewhere is to not be
- 15:43Speaker 6: afraid of flying anymore.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Look, I'm in the same boat. I can help you
- 15:47Speaker 4: with that. It's called xanax.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Oh right, I was thinking of something a little more
- 15:52Speaker 2: gummy tasting.

- 21:54Speaker 4: On a Friday.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Absolutely, students at the University of Maryland are taking on
- 21:59Speaker 3: plastic waste with a high tech twist.
- 22:02Speaker 2: You gotta hear it. It's next eat something that gives
- 22:05Speaker 2: you all the fields on a Friday. Okay, then Toby
- 22:07Speaker 2: and Chilly in the morning it's ninety seven point one

- 22:12Speaker 2: Friday story for this week on you and we're going
- 22:15Speaker 2: to go to the University of Maryland where students are
- 22:18Speaker 2: working on something really amazing a solution to a big
- 22:21Speaker 2: environmental problem, plastic waste. There's a group of researchers at
- 22:26Speaker 2: UMD using AI to help create a biodegradable alternative to
- 22:32Speaker 2: plastic cling wrap.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Well, so, instead of relying on petroleum based materials that
- 22:37Speaker 3: can take hundreds of years to break down, they're developing
- 22:40Speaker 3: a rap that's made from natural, plant based ingredients and
- 22:44Speaker 3: AI is helping them quickly test very different combinations of
- 22:47Speaker 3: materials to find something that is stronger, flexible, and actually
- 22:52Speaker 3: works like the plastic wrap that we use every day.
- 22:56Speaker 2: And the goal is to create something that keeps food
- 23:00Speaker 2: fresh but that also breaks down in the environment easily.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Researchers say this could be game changing when it comes
- 23:08Speaker 2: to reducing single use plastics. Yep, especially in the kitchen
- 23:12Speaker 2: where come on, now, we know all about the kling
- 23:15Speaker 2: wrap in the saran it's used all the time.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's still in the developmental phase, but with
- 23:20Speaker 3: the early results they look really promising and this continues
- 23:24Speaker 3: to move forward. This kind of technology could eventually offer
- 23:27Speaker 3: a more sustainable option for the rest of us consumers
- 23:31Speaker 3: without sacrifice and convenience. And this is especially cool since
- 23:35Speaker 3: we celebrated Earth Day earlier this week.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yep, it's amazing too. How over the last few weeks
- 23:40Speaker 2: we've heard about students like these students at the University
- 23:43Speaker 2: of Maryland who are working on ways to make sure
- 23:46Speaker 2: that our environment is better than we found it. And
- 23:49Speaker 2: if that doesn't make you feel good on a Friday,
