- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity, no topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fierazzo.
- 0:20Welcome, hi friends, thank you so much for tuning in.
- 0:23We appreciate your sharing the episodes on social media.
- 0:27And thanks for the financial support, we'll mention later how the campaign's going.
- 0:31I just also want to mention, there's good news regarding my brand new book called Assault
- 0:37on the Image of God.
- 0:39It is going to be in hand.
- 0:41In my hand, at least on December 1st, and it will be up on Amazon.
- 0:45I will have books locally.
- 0:47The subtitle is Understanding and Responding to Attacks on the Bible, Human Life, and the
- 0:55Church.
- 0:56As we know, the Biblical worldview is under attack and goes hand in hand with what we're
- 1:00talking about a lot of times on this program, World View Matters.
- 1:03So check that out, you can pre-order the e-book, not the paperback yet, but the e-book is
- 1:08available on Amazon if you'd like to check that out, Assault on the Image of God.
- 1:12I want to bring in my guests today, we're going to talk a lot about Israel and biblical
- 1:16history and truth, and Scott Lively, pastor, attorney, he's got so much experience that
- 1:23it will be helpful to us today as we go through this issue.
- 1:27The cult of anti-Zionism will talk about the right of the Jews over at the Holy Land
- 1:33and what's been happening there, and we really want to help people in the church understand.
- 1:39And also people that just have never been brought up in the church and don't know why there's
- 1:43such a battle between Palestine and Israel.
- 1:47So we'll talk about that.
- 1:48Welcome, pastor, Scott Lively.
- 1:50Well, great to be back with you, David.
- 1:54I know.
- 1:55Well, this is the first time that you've been on this program, so people can see you.
- 2:00We used to talk a lot on the radio.
- 2:02I saw you, I think it was Dallas, Texas, at a Liberty Pastors conference, it was wonderful.
- 2:10I met some amazing men of God, and we're still in touch with today, many of them have
- 2:15been guests on this program, and it was good to connect with you, but I want you to share
- 2:19a little bit for those that aren't familiar with your ministry.
- 2:22A little bit of your history, including your book, The Pink Swastika and your battle with
- 2:28the LGBTQ.
- 2:29I know you're good at summing it up after all these years, but man, you have been a target
- 2:35of the left for probably decades, right?
- 2:39I'm probably the, I've been on the Southern Poverty Law Center's hate group list longer
- 2:45than any other Christian except for Fred Phelps, who was crazy.
- 2:49And so that's, that's a badge of honor, yes, but you know, I was an alcoholic in a drug
- 2:57addict for 16 years from the age of 12.
- 3:00I got saved and healed in prayer in a secular alcohol and drug rehab center by surrendering
- 3:05my life to Christ, completely healed and delivered, never had another desire to take drugs
- 3:10or drink ever again.
- 3:12And because I'd surrendered my life to Christ, he took it and he turned, I used to sleep
- 3:18under bridges and begged for money on street corners.
- 3:21Today, I'm sitting here, I'm a, I'm an attorney, I'm a pastor of written books.
- 3:27I've been to 66 countries involved in ministry.
- 3:31And all this is by the grace of God, I've written eight books.
- 3:34It's, it's, it's a, he took something, he took what the devil intended for evil and
- 3:40he made something worthwhile out of it.
- 3:42And I give him glory every day for what he made out of my life.
- 3:47He's God, brother.
- 3:48Well, I'm, I'm thankful for you as well and what God's done.
- 3:51It's amazing.
- 3:52If I didn't give the website, it's scott lively dot net scott lively dot net.
- 3:57There it is.
- 3:58That's one of the stories.
- 3:59First stories there were going to be talking about in just a little bit today, but check
- 4:03out scott's website.
- 4:04So Scott, I think the last time we talked, I think you mentioned, did you go back and update
- 4:10one of your books?
- 4:11Was it the pink swastika or tell me about that if, if I have that right?
- 4:16Well, but my first book was the pink swastika, how authored with Kevin Abrams and Orthodox
- 4:21Jewish Holocaust researcher published this in 1995.
- 4:25We launched it in San Francisco.
- 4:27Wow.
- 4:28The annual conference of the, of the, of the national, what was it?
- 4:34North.
- 4:35Oh, it's the, it's a group, the, they will help people overcome and recover from homosexuality.
- 4:40Right, right.
- 4:41The downtown San Francisco, it was awesome.
- 4:43Dr. Joseph Nicolosi was a tremendous hero of the faith, who really pioneered the regenerative
- 4:51therapy, which is now being criminalized all over the country.
- 4:55And anyway, that was my first book, and I've written several there since then, but the
- 4:59pink swastika is the expose of the homosexual roots of the Nazi party contradicts the common
- 5:07wisdom on the topic, which is completely wrong.
- 5:10And, and that there were, as Judith Reesman, a famous Jewish conservative quotes in the
- 5:17book and her plug for it, that there were far more homosexuals aligned with the Nazis,
- 5:25persecuting the, the population and the Jews, and there ever were being persecuted by the
- 5:31Nazis.
- 5:33And we document all that in, in the book, it's, that, that book has opened so many doors
- 5:39for me, all over the world, it's been translated into seven or eight different languages.
- 5:45It's, it's, it's, because I wrote it, I have been gotten invitations to incredible adventures,
- 5:52a 50 city speaking tour, the former Soviet Union, sponsored by a Russian speaking church
- 5:58based in Riga Latvia, all expenses paid, the, I've been on, it's countless, I mean, over
- 6:05a thousand radio and television interviews about it, it really launched me, but it also
- 6:12put a target on my back.
- 6:13I've been persecuted more than just about any other Christian in America, not like people
- 6:18in the Middle East, right, who, you know, faced beheadings, but I've gotten the, the sort
- 6:23of character assassination equivalent of beheading for many years here and, but persecution
- 6:31is the refiner's fire.
- 6:33And when you press on through and you fulfill your mission to stand for, for Christ and his
- 6:39biblical worldview, then the blessings you receive far, far exceed any of the pain that
- 6:46you suffer for standing for righteousness, amen, brother, amen.
- 6:50What we talk about this particular article that you wrote, the cult of anti-Zionism, isn't
- 6:56it interesting?
- 6:57And when it gets your thoughts on those who are either the Black Lives Matter Global
- 7:01Network Foundation or the LGBTQ marching for pro-Palestine and pro-Hamas, there's some
- 7:09strange bedfellows I would love to hear your thoughts on that.
- 7:12They get slaughtered in 30 seconds, right, you know, they got transported in the middle
- 7:16of a Hamas camp in, in, in, in Judah there, they would, they would be slaughtered in an
- 7:23instant.
- 7:24And yet, there they are marching.
- 7:26And it all, what it all comes down to is that the, but the entire left has been completely
- 7:34transformed by the cultural Marxist agenda in which everything is measured by a presser
- 7:41or a press, right, the, the, the, the entire, the entire worldview.
- 7:46The, the religion, you know, of secular humanism, which is the religion of Marxism is, it's,
- 7:52it's centered on that.
- 7:53It's like the most important principle and the most, the operative ideology and philosophy
- 8:00and, and, and, and working context for everything that they do and that whoever can claim victim
- 8:09status, the most persuasively, they are the ones that the left will always champion, except
- 8:16unless you're, unless you're ex gay or you're, you know, there are certain people that don't
- 8:21ever, they don't get to qualify as victims no matter what.
- 8:25But anybody who is a victim, right, then that gives the left the right, the justification
- 8:30to go after the victimizers.
- 8:32It's not so much that they want to protect the victims.
- 8:35They want to kill, they want to rob kill and destroy anybody that they can paint as an
- 8:41oppressor.
- 8:42And of course, Israel, the, the tables have turned now on Israel.
- 8:46And the, and instead of Israel being perceived as victims, you know, Jews, all the pogroms
- 8:51and everything.
- 8:52Now the tables have turned the, the, the, the Palestinians, so-called Palestinians have
- 8:58been groomed and, and shaped and molded and presented for, for decades now as the ultimate
- 9:05victim class.
- 9:07And now all that is paying off in the propaganda war where they're actually, uh, winning over
- 9:12the Marxist left all over the world.
- 9:15Absolutely.
- 9:16Absolutely.
- 9:17Absolutely.
- 9:18It is stunning.
- 9:19And the ignorance and the people just believing the talking points and not knowing, let's
- 9:23just set biblical, biblical truth aside, not knowing world history.
- 9:27But Scott, by the way, friends, look up, if you haven't seen our program with Dr. Jake
- 9:32Jacobs on this propaganda war in academia and the media, the, please watch that from
- 9:38last week.
- 9:39Scott, you talk about the cult of anti-zionism in an article here and lay out the fact that
- 9:45a cult is a social group with socially deviant or novel religious, philosophical or spiritual
- 9:52beliefs and practices.
- 9:54And you say that some have the viewpoint, Zionism is the main source of political and
- 10:01cultural evil in the modern world.
- 10:05How do people come to believe that and explain what you mean, please?
- 10:09Well, this goes back and, I mean, Jew hatred is nothing new in the world and, right?
- 10:14And it's been, it's been, unfortunately, central to Christianity going all the way back
- 10:20to Roman, the early days of Roman Catholicism, right?
- 10:24First century Christianity, in fact, my church is called First Century Bible Church.
- 10:28We studied this scripture from a Hebrew cultural perspective.
- 10:31We are, we're not traditionalist Christians, we're not Messianic Jews.
- 10:35We just simply are, we simply believe that the, you know, to understand the scripture,
- 10:42you have to understand the cultural context in which it was written.
- 10:44And that's completely Hebrew.
- 10:47And the first 90 years of the church, the believers, almost all of them, especially the first
- 10:5230, 40 years, almost all of them were Jews, right, who had recognized the Messiah based
- 10:59on the prophecies that they had been living by all the, those centuries.
- 11:04And, and so really, First Century Christianity was really Messianic Judaism.
- 11:08And they were attending synagogues on the, on the Saturday and then they were having Christian
- 11:13love feasts and things on Sunday, the first day of the week.
- 11:16And, but then by the end of the first century, the church basically,
- 11:20completely converted to a Roman, a Greco-Roman worldview.
- 11:25And that was the beginning of the Roman Catholic Church, you know,
- 11:28Clement of Rome, basically sort of published a piece that assumed ecclesiastic authority
- 11:36over the entire church, right, out of that grew the papacy.
- 11:39And in, in the midst of all this was, was a, was a doctrine, the doctrine of supercessionism,
- 11:45that the church supersedes everything in the Bible about, about Israel and Judah is superseded
- 11:52by Christian church.
- 11:54And then on top of that was then built this punitive supercessionism, in which it said,
- 12:01they killed Christ, so they deserve to be punished.
- 12:05And we, the new Israel, the new Judah, can, can, can, should be punishing the Jews
- 12:12for having killed our Savior.
- 12:14And that for centuries, right, all the pogroms, the driving the Jews,
- 12:18from this and that place of killing them in large numbers and all that,
- 12:23that's, that's where Jew hatred really comes from.
- 12:27I mean, there are other sources too, but in Christendom, that's the origin of it.
- 12:31It's a, it's a holdover in the reform theology that says that the church replaces Israel.
- 12:37Now, I'm a two house believer, you know, most people have no idea what I'm talking about.
- 12:42The new house, I, this is an article at ScottLively.net is the, the most important
- 12:48forgotten truth of the Bible is the, the two houses Israel and Judah are separate and distinct.
- 12:56The church supersedes in, in Israel, right?
- 13:00But not a Judah, Judah, the house of Judah continues to have a relationship with God
- 13:05and will until the second coming when collectively the house of Judah will be conformed.
- 13:10Romans 11, just read it from beginning to end and based, you know, take what I've just said
- 13:17and then read Romans 11 in that context and light bulbs will go on for you.
- 13:22All right, we're going to have to take a quick break here and pick this up and go back to the year
- 13:261897 and what happened 20 years later when the British liberated the Holy Land.
- 13:33We're with Pastor Scott Lively and we'll be right back.
- 13:52I am holding a mug that you could have. We have a bunch of these and we would love to give one
- 14:00to you. We are doing a fundraiser between now and Christmas and you can help support the show
- 14:05and production costs of World View Matters with a $25 a month gift or a one-time donation of $200
- 14:14that qualifies $200 or more. I will gladly take more if you can afford that but will,
- 14:19that qualifies you to get one of these mugs on one side, of course, World View Matters and on the
- 14:23other side, keep speaking the truth about things that matter. So you can get one of these.
- 14:29We appreciate your help. I want to thank some friends that have been donating and we appreciate
- 14:34Tim from Green Bay, Barbara, also from Green Bay, Nina from California, Joe Meyer of Myers
- 14:42Taikondo Studio Taikwondo and let's see Laura from Depear Wisconsin, Susan from Jamesville, New York,
- 14:52Mike from Ashkosh, Steven from Seamy Valley, California and we've got more to mention next time.
- 14:58So thank you guys so very much. So Scott Lively, what happened in 1897 in relation to what we
- 15:06are talking about with the history of the land and the battles that have been taken place through
- 15:11the years? Yeah, 1897. Let me just preface it with this that for five centuries, almost five
- 15:19centuries in Great Britain and Holland, was the Hebraic Movement in Christendom in which there was
- 15:25a cooperation between Christians and Jews on the doctrine of millennialism, the belief in the
- 15:32two houses and that the House of Judah, the Jews and the House of Israel Christians would be united
- 15:37in the Holy Land eventually. There was a huge thing, no it never talked about today,
- 15:42no one was nobody knows anything about it, but it was so powerful that this partnership
- 15:47of the church of England and the British monarchy with the Jews, bankers, et cetera,
- 15:55was it reshaped the entire world. I think what they call Anglo-Zionism, the British and the Jews
- 16:02and that that partnership was sort of represented in a kind of a cultic doctrine called British
- 16:09Israelism, which I don't endorse, but it was elements of it have some validity, some a few,
- 16:16but it was important thing, it was held by the elites by a very powerful faction of the elites
- 16:24and that then drove the pursuit of getting back the Holy Land from the Muslims.
- 16:29And so in 1897, 20 years before the British conquered the Turks and liberated the Holy Land and
- 16:36gave the Holy Land back to the Jews, a group of ultra-nationalist Jews formally created
- 16:45Zionism as a Jewish nationalistic movement and sort of abandoned the centuries-long
- 16:54partnership of Christians and Jews. As a matter of fact, from the early 1800s, Christians were in
- 17:00Israel in the old city. In fact, I stated the Christ Church guesthouse inside the Jaffa Gate
- 17:06where the Christians went there intentionally to help repatriate Jews to the land as part of
- 17:12this partnership and they actually, their church that they designed is a church in the shape of
- 17:17a synagogue so that the Jews would feel welcome and there's this sort of cooperation.
- 17:21And so the plan was ultimately based on prophecy that the two houses would be reconciled in the
- 17:28Millennial Kingdom, thus the term Millennialism. But when the nationalistic Jews formed Zionism,
- 17:35they excluded the Christians, it was purely Jewish and that group once the British government
- 17:42conquered the Turks, that's who they gave, it was the Balfour Declaration, they gave it to the
- 17:48nationalists. It Jews because the British wanted to have essentially a forward post in the Muslim
- 17:56world, right? And the trade-off was the Jews who would get the Holy Land back as long as the
- 18:02British had a major hand in everything that happened there and that the Jews would basically have to
- 18:07be the front line, the frontier between the West and the East for all matters related to
- 18:15geopolitics and war, et cetera. And ever since then, they have been in a constant siege,
- 18:20the entire Muslim wants to wipe them off the face of the earth and Christianity to the extent that
- 18:25people understand the Bible that God bequeathed, you know, covenanted that land to them, you know,
- 18:32we have backed them. And so it's very complex, but that's what 1897 is about.
- 18:38Hey, well, I mean, we could do an hour or two on this topic and dig deeper, but let's go to
- 18:43Genesis 15 in your article, your other article, the Hebrew's irrevocable right to the Holy Land,
- 18:49which is on your website at scottlively.net, which is on that day, the Lord made a covenant with
- 18:55Abram saying to your descendants, I have given this land from the river of Egypt to the great river
- 19:03Euphrates and it goes on that's Genesis 15 versus 18 through 21. So God reconfirmed the promise in
- 19:10the form of a deed of trust in Genesis 17, 17 and eight, saying, I will establish my covenant
- 19:16as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you. Yes, scott,
- 19:22talk to us about that because, okay, everlasting. So that this is God, this is God's word and his
- 19:27promise to Abram to Abraham and his descendants, but some would argue, well, I don't believe in
- 19:34the Bible. So that doesn't apply. What are your thoughts? Well, you better get right with God.
- 19:40You don't believe the Bible. It's the word of God. Every answer to every question you could ever
- 19:46have is either directly addressed or by extrapolation from the biblical principles. I'm a Christian
- 19:52lawyer in addition to being a pastor. I've studied biblical law. It's the foundation of all of our law
- 19:59really. Some Roman statutes for law sort of got, you know, welded on, but that's what where
- 20:06law is. What we're talking about is an irrevocable deed from God to the Hebrew people for the Holy
- 20:15Land with very specific boundaries and that and it's perpetual. In the law, this in real estate law,
- 20:22there's this there's this law that exists in more modern times called the rule against perpetuities.
- 20:27And what should really say is not supposed to be able to be perpetual, but in this particular case,
- 20:33the deed to the Hebrews of the Holy Land is perpetual meaning eternal forever, unbreakable,
- 20:41unviolable, can't be rescinded. I mean, that's what God could say he wanted to, but no one else
- 20:48could do that and he hasn't. And so that's the reality. Now, if you don't believe that and if you
- 20:53want to reject the biblical evidence, there's the second basis that the Jews have the Holy Land. That
- 21:00is the simple ancient warrior code, military code, to the victor go to spoils, right? This isn't
- 21:08what the British conquered the Turks. They conquered the militarily, right? They beat their
- 21:15butts and they took the Holy Land back and then they gave it to the Jews, right? That's so
- 21:20that that's the law of conquest to the victor go to spoils. The Holy Land with the spoils of
- 21:26World War I that the British government gave to the Jews. Now the gate that the the British tried
- 21:32to put all sort of conditions on it and all that. And they were operating under this recent construct
- 21:39that had been put together. There was a League of Nations and they were attempting to establish
- 21:44a global government, even back then Wilson, you know, President Wilson and all that. But
- 21:49so the League of Nations was trying to essentially impose geopolitical preconditions and to
- 21:55assume leadership for itself that it really didn't have and tried to limit the extent to which the
- 22:01Jews could use the Holy Land. But, you know, that had no more validity than, you know, if you
- 22:06want to reject anything, reject the League of Nations, don't reject Israel. Because they're
- 22:11packing the land that they that they had before they're restored to the Holy Land. And even though
- 22:16I have all kinds of problems with the Israeli government, you know, pushing the Sodomite agenda,
- 22:20the abortion agenda, it's just as wicked as American government. But it is prophetic, right? It
- 22:28is a fulfillment of property. There's supposed to be there. And and and if you have any sense of
- 22:34a prophecy at all, you see that this thing is falling into place by the numbers. It's just astonishing
- 22:41how closely all this aligns with what the scripture says is going to happen. So it's prophetic.
- 22:46Yes. You were alluding to the Balfour Declaration. Could you briefly touch on that?
- 22:53Yeah, it was the it was a British minister named Balfour, Jeffrey Balfour. Lord Jeffrey, I
- 22:57can't forget his first name. But he essentially issued a letter from the British government
- 23:02to Baron Rothschild, right? And who who essentially represented world jewelry
- 23:10into the British monarchy's mind. And the Balfour letter basically just says, you know, here we
- 23:17we've we've taken this land and and this is it we're granting you the right to go back and
- 23:23and and resettle this very simply. And but that was sort of a that was the to the victor go the
- 23:30spoils. That's that was that's the that's the letter that you can hang that principle on.
- 23:36And very famous. And they and then in 1948, of course, they lived under the British the British
- 23:42had what's called the British mandate from the League of Nations where the where the governments
- 23:48of the world, you know, attempting to establish global authority sort of dictating to what extent
- 23:56Britain could actually, you know, could function and operate. You know, that expired in 1948
- 24:05and immediately at midnight, it expired. And then the next minute, the the Jews declared
- 24:11that Jewish homeland of Israel and then all, uh, hell breaks loose in the Middle East.
- 24:18Yeah, it had been going on before that, you know, even before, but it really took off and
- 24:23and that was really the beginning of, you know, it's been over a century now that, uh, yeah,
- 24:28yeah, yeah, it is, uh, that because all this stuff is going on, at least since 2017,
- 24:35as World War One, we we have been watching, uh, all the prophecy come together. And it's all
- 24:42the world's eyes is always on this little plot of ground right there that, uh, isn't interesting.
- 24:48That Scott, you bring it is the size of New Jersey. We've shown the map many, many, many, many times.
- 24:54And yet people accused Israel of being oppressors and colonizers. And I'll tell you what, if they're,
- 25:00if they're colonizers, they're really bad at it because all the massive land around them
- 25:07is owned by, you know, Muslims and and nations that want to destroy me is really go ahead.
- 25:13Real quick, because we're running out of time. And that, right, the, the, the Palestinians,
- 25:18the so-called Palestinians, uh, have refused to civilize. That's another article that I put out
- 25:23really. Why the Palestinians refuse to civilize? It's because they have allowed themselves to be
- 25:29shaped and molded. It is the ultimate victim class, right? The Islam is a religion of, of military
- 25:36conquest, all from the beginning, Muhammad's life, right? The life of Muhammad actually has,
- 25:40as much import to the Muslims as the grandas. And, uh, and and so they had, they were conquered
- 25:48by the British Empire. They were not strong enough to overtake, to take the land back again.
- 25:54So they switched to cultural warfare using asymmetrical warfare and this principle of oppressor
- 26:01and oppressed. They're using cultural Marxism to fight a cultural war to take the land back.
- 26:06And the Palestinians are the ultimate victim class who refuse to civilize,
- 26:11who refuse any kind of peace or any kind of of prosperity in order to be able to force
- 26:18the whole world to condemn Israel for being oppressors. Yeah, amazing.
- 26:21You see amazing. You end the article on a, on a good note and a happy note. So to speak,
- 26:28you say, uh, Christians have an equal biblical stake in the Holy Land. We will one day share
- 26:34with our spiritual cousins the Jews and we should do all we can to preserve it until that day.
- 26:40Your quick thoughts to wrap that up, Scott? Well, yes, we're going to be there, right? I think all
- 26:45the crisis that's going to happen. I don't know the timing of the God may God born all that.
- 26:49But I think the Jews are being pressed to the point where they're going to realize the only
