- 0:14Speaker 2: Recare you get a you made bastards? Tell you what
- 0:18Speaker 2: fellas another lovely day in Auckland City. Beautiful isn't really
- 0:23Speaker 2: really lovely? Ye? I hang out with some friends over
- 0:26Speaker 2: the weekend and they were going, oh, Spring woo, and
- 0:30Speaker 2: I said, ah, but no, no, no, I did, and
- 0:34Speaker 2: I said, no, Springs actually officially starts on the twenty
- 0:38Speaker 2: second or twenty third. Thing to say, really, And they
- 0:41Speaker 2: were like bullshit, And I said no, and I think
- 0:45Speaker 2: I mentioned you may and I said no, Mowgi told
- 0:47Speaker 2: me officially it starts on the twenty third, and they went,
- 0:51Speaker 2: bulls how does that work.
- 0:52Speaker 1: It's not tied to the calendar. Rather, the spring spring
- 0:55Speaker 1: doesn't know about calendars.
- 0:57Speaker 2: They were so outraged. We're in the middle of a
- 0:59Speaker 2: beautiful beach and they went, I'm googling that, oh yes,
- 1:02Speaker 2: and I was right, behold, the main thing, isn't it
- 1:07Speaker 2: And they, for about half an hour just couldn't get
- 1:09Speaker 2: their heads.
- 1:10Speaker 1: It's a nice thing to know.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Yeah, because Obviously, calendars are a man made thing, and
- 1:18Speaker 3: the galaxy just gives us our our seasons the galaxy
- 1:22Speaker 3: and so to try.
- 1:23Speaker 1: And see close. Of course they're going to get out
- 1:27Speaker 1: of sinking. Mike.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Do you think at one point maybe they were perfectly
- 1:31Speaker 3: aligned and since then they've become out of alignment.
- 1:33Speaker 1: With stember one? Yeah? Probably men. Yeah, so that's what
- 1:38Speaker 1: leap years of four a fellas they keep things aligned.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Having said that, you know, it feels like it's spring,
- 1:43Speaker 2: so that's the main thing.
- 1:44Speaker 1: It's beautiful. It was odd, yeah, it was yeah, and
- 1:49Speaker 1: it was hot at night. It was at night?
- 1:51Speaker 2: What keesy giving me a filthy look?
- 1:54Speaker 1: Bee?
- 1:54Speaker 2: What was that? What are you? What are you suggesting? Key?
- 1:57Speaker 2: You're just in loving or something.
- 1:58Speaker 3: It was hot and steaming, right, I just I woke
- 2:02Speaker 3: up hot at like four am, Like, man, it's hot.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I haven't woken up hot in ages. Well that's going
- 2:06Speaker 1: to be. We've taken the douvet, the extra duval for
- 2:09Speaker 1: our bed. That is going to have to go back on.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Whose idea was it? Well I got home and it
- 2:14Speaker 1: was gone, that's right, same thing in my house. My
- 2:17Speaker 1: decision was made on my behalf. Does she gett. Does
- 2:19Speaker 1: she stay hotter at night than you are?
- 2:22Speaker 3: Remember, yes, because loose will take the extra duve off,
- 2:26Speaker 3: albeit about.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Three weeks before I'm actually ready for that. Yeah, that's
- 2:29Speaker 1: I'm freezing in the middle of the.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Night, like wrapping off a plaster keasy, you know what
- 2:32Speaker 2: I mean. She just takes it allway. She just does it.
- 2:35Speaker 2: It's gone, and then you deal with suits her. We're sautiful.
- 2:39Speaker 2: We're still fully dove and blanketed. That so good that
- 2:43Speaker 2: that blanketed app We may have taken the blanket off. Actually,
- 2:48Speaker 2: my wife and.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I that you both decided at the same time. We
- 2:51Speaker 1: take it off.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah, we do it. Do it as a team.
- 2:54Speaker 1: So do you take it off as a team as well.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yes, it's a ceremony right for the beginning of nearly spread.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Do you have your doga hanging out?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:04Speaker 1: My dog's nothing wrong with it.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, my little medium pace out swinger. Yeah. Sometimes
- 3:17Speaker 2: I have my donga out.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That's great.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It varies from you.
- 3:20Speaker 1: It always looks like a bit of a smug bastard.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Your dog. He's got a habit of gloating.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yes. Look, it's like people that know they're really good looking,
- 3:32Speaker 2: you know. There's a certain arrogance about that. My dog
- 3:37Speaker 2: is like that. It knows it's impressive.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And he's got a strut, he's got a swager on
- 3:43Speaker 1: his step.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Just a quiet little smile to itself.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Is it's a knowing glance. It winks on itself in
- 3:50Speaker 1: the mirror.
- 3:50Speaker 2: You know, normally the eye of the donna is sort
- 3:52Speaker 2: of a perpendicular mind, sort of horizontal and a little smile.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yes, really like a little an upturned mouth.
- 3:59Speaker 2: An upturned out. I know what I'm about. I don't
- 4:02Speaker 2: need to go on about it, but you know, you
- 4:05Speaker 2: know what I'm saying.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Man, so good. Yeah, if your Donga was a pair
- 4:11Speaker 1: of jeens, be levis I reckon for sure? Yeah yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 1: working class.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Works, Yeah, not with the fake cuts in.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Them be three quarters though, and in between shorts.
- 4:23Speaker 2: And jeans covered covered in oil and hard, hard sort
- 4:27Speaker 2: of graft sort of activities. So yeah, but under Machiv, yours,
- 4:32Speaker 2: under MAO, it.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Was minding something very different. YouTube viewers will be able
- 4:42Speaker 3: to see. Yeah, yeah, if yours was a pair of jeans,
- 4:45Speaker 3: it'll be your wife's jeans that you don't realize you're
- 4:47Speaker 3: wearing until you get to work.
- 4:49Speaker 2: And fit me really well, yes, have you worn them again?
- 4:52Speaker 2: Since they're my favorite jeans now.
- 4:54Speaker 1: You wear them all the time? Yes, the black one
- 4:56Speaker 1: as a zip up on the side.
- 4:57Speaker 2: No, no, they're they're my my over them. No, I
- 5:01Speaker 2: don't really and actual fat just.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I feel like zip's up the side there. It's a
- 5:05Speaker 1: bit of a statement. I well that on the inside
- 5:08Speaker 1: him or the outside inside should be inside surely. Yeah. Good.
- 5:20Speaker 2: But these things I don't even know where they came from.
- 5:22Speaker 2: But then my wife said to me the other day,
- 5:26Speaker 2: have you lost weight? And I was like, no, I
- 5:29Speaker 2: don't think so. Why And she said, your jeans are
- 5:31Speaker 2: really baggy, and I was wearing these ones and so
- 5:34Speaker 2: maybe they've just lost some elasticity.
- 5:37Speaker 1: But you, I'm trying to remember what you do with
- 5:39Speaker 1: your How often do you wash your jeans?
- 5:41Speaker 2: Well, I've taken your guys advice because i'd go two
- 5:45Speaker 2: days max. Yeah, now I four five days. That's what
- 5:50Speaker 2: I do.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Now they tightened up after a wash.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Yes, definitely mine.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Still I still do mine like once every month. No, bullshit,
- 6:00Speaker 1: can't do that. But I mean four pairs of jeans
- 6:03Speaker 1: of food.
- 6:04Speaker 2: You drop when you're eating, there's no way, silly there's
- 6:09Speaker 2: no way that you have the same jeans on for
- 6:12Speaker 2: a month.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I have the same jeans on for a month. I
- 6:14Speaker 3: don't wear them every day. I have four pairs of
- 6:16Speaker 3: jeans which get rotated. I'll probably wear each one one
- 6:18Speaker 3: once or twice a week, and I'll watch them once
- 6:20Speaker 3: a month, maybe maybe even once every two months, because
- 6:22Speaker 3: they just don't need to be washed.
- 6:23Speaker 1: They look fine.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I'm going to ask your wife about that.
- 6:26Speaker 1: She doesn't know. Don't ask you don't have to talk
- 6:29Speaker 1: to she doesn't know anything. I'm going to call it fine,
- 6:31Speaker 1: you don't.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I'm going to call it at night and say, kesy
- 6:34Speaker 2: and he washes his jeans every two months.
- 6:37Speaker 3: I would love is to overhear you actually calling my
- 6:40Speaker 3: wife and how awkward the conversation would.
- 6:47Speaker 2: You do?
- 6:48Speaker 1: Hey, James, can you talk me through your weekend?
- 6:49Speaker 2: Man?
- 6:50Speaker 1: Heavy? Father's day? By the way, Thanks, Father's out yet?
- 6:52Speaker 1: There not you zy? Not yet? You've got someone on
- 6:55Speaker 1: the way man? Yeah? Good?
- 6:57Speaker 2: How are your spims looking?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Yeah? Having a good question?
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah? They they little potent.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Bast I thought you were talking through your weekend me. Well,
- 7:06Speaker 1: we just got onto your.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Is it figurous stuff in their keys?
- 7:11Speaker 1: I don't know, is it a good pretty lively?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Is there a good brew you know, yeah brewing there
- 7:17Speaker 2: and the old Testies.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so, it's like it's pretty lively if
- 7:20Speaker 3: you had a handful of the stuff like she's you know,
- 7:25Speaker 3: it's like vibrating almost.
- 7:27Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, it's like that that candy rock pop. Yeah,
- 7:34Speaker 1: you're still I like, but yeah, so I think I'll
- 7:41Speaker 1: be sweet as the.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Whole wracky Big Show week days from four on Radio
- 7:46Speaker 3: Hiarchy The Big Show Podcast.
- 7:50Speaker 2: My weekend was until Sunday morning until Sunday morning.
- 7:56Speaker 1: The rugby Let's Ruin It for You?
- 7:58Speaker 2: Well, my wife and I made the decision that we
- 8:00Speaker 2: were going to watch it live, which we did.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Was exciting.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a good match. Unfortunately, who won Keezy?
- 8:11Speaker 2: We'll do that in sports. So unfortunately, Mogi, my phone
- 8:19Speaker 2: went at two am that morning, went rang. My phone
- 8:24Speaker 2: started ringing at two am and I was preparing to
- 8:28Speaker 2: get up at quarter to three. So my phone rang
- 8:30Speaker 2: and I was like, is that my phone? And then
- 8:33Speaker 2: I sort of grabbed that and the call cut out
- 8:35Speaker 2: and I went It's never a good sign when you
- 8:37Speaker 2: get called at two am in the morning.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It's very rare. For it to be good news.
- 8:41Speaker 2: And then I got a text which was from my neighbor.
- 8:46Speaker 2: He said, now, you guys, did you see that you
- 8:50Speaker 2: might have been fast asleep that magnim incredible thunderstorm Saturday
- 8:55Speaker 2: night Sunday morning. It was amazing And basically it was
- 8:59Speaker 2: my neighbor and he let his message was your dog's
- 9:03Speaker 2: going ballistic in the backyard and is really distressed. And
- 9:08Speaker 2: I went, okay, nothing I can do about it, sorry, mate, Yes,
- 9:15Speaker 2: there was that.
- 9:17Speaker 1: What was the dog not with you?
- 9:18Speaker 2: And because we left her at home with our daughter
- 9:23Speaker 2: And so then he texted back and said, do you
- 9:27Speaker 2: want me to go and get her and I'll put
- 9:28Speaker 2: her in my house.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And I said it's nice.
- 9:30Speaker 2: That won't work. You won't be able to get here,
- 9:32Speaker 2: and she'll keep barking for however long and be freaked out.
- 9:37Speaker 2: So then I rang my daughter about ten times, left
- 9:40Speaker 2: about five texts and didn't get any response. And that
- 9:45Speaker 2: carried on for many, many hours. So I watched the rugby.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Still didn't get any response, and so after the rugby finished,
- 9:54Speaker 2: I drove home.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Did you yes, so the storm's still going but but
- 10:02Speaker 1: she would have had her phone on side, No.
- 10:04Speaker 2: But she when when my dog barks, you know about it, right,
- 10:10Speaker 2: and so her going nuts in the backyard would have
- 10:13Speaker 2: been fucking terrible.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Jason's dog is the loudest bark in the world.
- 10:18Speaker 2: It is. Then this story actually gets better. And then anyway,
- 10:22Speaker 2: I get home, going to the bedroom, and she's there
- 10:24Speaker 2: with her boyfriend and looks like that had a good evening.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Great.
- 10:28Speaker 2: So I'm sitting on the deck at about and you
- 10:33Speaker 2: did not haven't told you this part, Keezy at about
- 10:36Speaker 2: ten thirty, having a darry there and sorry, where are
- 10:40Speaker 2: we now? On my deck on You're at home at home.
- 10:43Speaker 2: There's a little path with the gate on it, and
- 10:45Speaker 2: this I hear someone coming down the path and this
- 10:48Speaker 2: dude comes up to my gate and goes o II
- 10:53Speaker 2: and I went, okay, this isn't going to be good.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Whatever this is. And he said was he was livid, livid,
- 11:02Speaker 2: and he was like, if you can't control your fucking dog,
- 11:07Speaker 2: you shouldn't fucking own one. And then he said it
- 11:11Speaker 2: woke the whole fucking neighborhood up. You and I won't
- 11:14Speaker 2: say what he said, and I went totally, man, my bad,
- 11:19Speaker 2: my bad, breakdown of communication. There was no one here
- 11:23Speaker 2: to look after her. Totally my bad. I completely accepted,
- 11:26Speaker 2: and he settled down a bit and muttered and grind
- 11:28Speaker 2: and then stomped off.
- 11:31Speaker 1: So that was so what your daughter was there or not? Yes,
- 11:34Speaker 1: he was there. I just didn't care about the dog.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Just had a good night. Yeah, sure, like maybe some
- 11:42Speaker 2: friends over, sure, because she was a who of a
- 11:45Speaker 2: mess when.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I got But you didn't go back to the beach, well, no,
- 11:51Speaker 1: because when it was a beautiful.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Day, it was a magnificent day.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Is funny because you could probably go straight across the
- 12:02Speaker 3: word at fifteen minutes.
- 12:03Speaker 2: You can exactly that. But the taxi costs about one
- 12:06Speaker 2: hundred and fifty bucks. But it's not even existing anymore.
- 12:09Speaker 2: But my wife was coming back in the afternoon, so
- 12:12Speaker 2: it was just like, what's the point, mind you. I
- 12:15Speaker 2: was potentially planning on staying after she left, and she
- 12:20Speaker 2: was going to get a lift home with her friend
- 12:21Speaker 2: in night. Yeah, so it was a bit of a bummer.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Once again, and it was once again beautiful day as well.
- 12:29Speaker 1: It was on social media there I was thinking you
- 12:32Speaker 1: had a glorious time, But that was just one photo,
- 12:34Speaker 1: a glimpse in another wise shambolock day.
- 12:37Speaker 2: It was also very reminiscent keasy of when we went
- 12:41Speaker 2: and on the SAT Day it was a cracking day
- 12:44Speaker 2: and we just went and now fuck this, we're going.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Yeah, well did we? Well?
- 12:48Speaker 2: I did?
- 12:49Speaker 1: I was too plivid, devastated. Saturday was shiit, yes it was.
- 12:54Speaker 1: But we still have a really Niceturday was a ripper.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yes, that was great.
- 12:58Speaker 2: And today's a river. It's this stuff happens, you know,
- 13:03Speaker 2: and you just take it on the chin and move on.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Do you can you get another dog? No?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, not a fucking chance. We have to find someone
- 13:13Speaker 2: to look after it while we go away on holiday too.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Do you think the upside is of your dog?
- 13:17Speaker 2: None? At the moment.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Is that the vibe day? Honestly?
- 13:21Speaker 2: Oh? Lot? We love her?
- 13:23Speaker 1: Oh you do, but yeah, what's the upside of Tinket? Well,
- 13:29Speaker 1: there's no downside. She doesn't bark, she doesn't do any
- 13:33Speaker 1: of that. Ship Yeah she's Yeah, she's always been a
- 13:36Speaker 1: great dog, never betting anybody natured.
- 13:39Speaker 3: You look at her and it makes you laugh when
- 13:41Speaker 3: you look at her. Yeah, because she's so funny.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Look at that's right. I've never seen rude.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Yes, year, have I shaved your photos?
- 13:49Speaker 1: No?
- 13:49Speaker 2: You haven't, I'll show you one now.
- 13:51Speaker 1: But i'd like to see her in person. You'd like
- 13:53Speaker 1: to see her in the.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Actually very lovely. When you meet her in person, she'll
- 13:58Speaker 2: she'll bark for about up and then seconds and then
- 14:02Speaker 2: she'll just be all over you.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Yeah she's a colleague. Yes, I'll be friends with her.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I had a colleague.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Hey, listen to her a bit show four or seven
- 14:09Speaker 3: every weekday. Yeah they know, they talk.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah. He died about ten years ago.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Boot Boot. Thanks everyone, Thank you,
