- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rachel Yucatel. Today we have David Yontiff
- 1:33Speaker 1: from Behind the Velvet Rope again. Normally we don't do
- 1:36Speaker 1: shows like this, but I wanted to do what's going on,
- 1:39Speaker 1: hot topics, and the only person that I could possibly
- 1:42Speaker 1: think of doing this with is Mr. Yontiff right here.
- 1:45Speaker 1: So thank you for joining me again. We had such
- 1:47Speaker 1: a fun time last episode. We got so many comments
- 1:51Speaker 1: and likes from it, so we're a pretty good team.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I mean, I could... give you all the things I'm
- 1:56Speaker 2: misunderstood about. One day I'm here if you want, you know,
- 1:59Speaker 2: I mean, I fit in the misunderstood, but yes, thank
- 2:01Speaker 2: you for the hot topics. Thank you for inviting. What
- 2:03Speaker 2: an honor to be in. Am I your first return guest?
- 2:05Speaker 2: You are. Oh my gosh. Before we get started, I
- 2:10Speaker 2: have to ask you a question.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Really?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Okay. This is Okay, so the thing is, I don't
- 2:13Speaker 2: know if you know this, but I'm looking at what
- 2:15Speaker 2: you're wearing. First of all, I love, what pants are these?
- 2:18Speaker 1: Oh, so yeah, these are Alvin Valley. He's known as
- 2:21Speaker 1: the king of pants. I wear his pants almost every
- 2:24Speaker 1: time I shoot different ones, obviously. But I love how
- 2:27Speaker 1: hot the colors are. I have a yellow, I have
- 2:29Speaker 1: a pink, I have a blue, I have a black.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And he makes pants better than anyone else. So anyone
- 2:35Speaker 1: that needs a good pair of pants, go to Alvin Valley.
- 2:37Speaker 1: He has a store in Palm Beach. I think he's
- 2:39Speaker 1: going to be in the Hamptons this summer. So, and
- 2:41Speaker 1: he makes them made to order. So they are fitting
- 2:43Speaker 1: for your body.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Come and find me in the Hamptons. And by the way,
- 2:47Speaker 2: I've got a lot of listeners for my own podcast,
- 2:49Speaker 2: Behind the Velvet Rope. So if he wants to do
- 2:50Speaker 2: a custom pair, I'll give him a free shout out.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Okay, I'll let him know.
- 2:53Speaker 2: But this is, I just noticed the pants look gorgeous.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I pay for mine. So maybe I should be asking
- 2:57Speaker 1: for a deal now that I gave him the shout out.
- 3:00Speaker 2: But here's the deal. So I notice your jewelry. I
- 3:02Speaker 2: notice your necklace. I see this, there's a star, but
- 3:05Speaker 2: I see a lightning bolt. Do you know what a
- 3:07Speaker 2: lightning bolt is?
- 3:09Speaker 3: No.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Oh, you don't know this? No. It's because you don't
- 3:11Speaker 1: watch– Does it mean I'm a swinger?
- 3:12Speaker 2: It means that I think you've– did you ever have
- 3:15Speaker 2: an affair with Tom Sandoval?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Are you kidding?
- 3:19Speaker 2: The lightning bolt.
- 3:20Speaker 1: He's not my type. Let's just start there. Okay.
- 3:23Speaker 2: First of all, I went to see Tom Sandoval in
- 3:26Speaker 2: the Most Extras in concert last week. This week, did
- 3:30Speaker 2: you see the body?
- 3:31Speaker 1: I did see the body.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Revenge body.
- 3:33Speaker 1: It is a revenge body, but he's totally not my type.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I actually don't get it. I don't get why everyone's
- 3:38Speaker 1: so up in arms. especially over him. I mean, that
- 3:43Speaker 1: to me is just an odd person to be like
- 3:45Speaker 1: so obsessed with either hating or loving. He kind of
- 3:48Speaker 1: seems like in the middle for me, but he does
- 3:50Speaker 1: have a good body. But he's one of the worst
- 3:52Speaker 1: singers I've ever heard. Why does he have a band?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Okay, first of all, but the thing is him and Raquel,
- 3:58Speaker 2: when they were having the seven-month affair, they gave each
- 4:02Speaker 2: other lightning bolt necklaces. And nobody noticed it. But then
- 4:06Speaker 2: it's like he has one and she has one. That
- 4:08Speaker 2: was like their secret code.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Come on.
- 4:10Speaker 2: So I swear to God.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Oh, so me wearing a lightning bolt, you think I've
- 4:14Speaker 1: had an affair with Tom Sandoval?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Are you sure?
- 4:16Speaker 1: Definitely not.
- 4:17Speaker 2: He has one and you have one. So I need
- 4:19Speaker 2: to know if you had an affair. Has Rachel, you
- 4:21Speaker 2: could tell, had an affair with Tom Sandoval? Okay.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Well, no, I definitely would stay far away from that one.
- 4:27Speaker 2: He's not your type for lots of reasons. He's my type.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Is he?
- 4:31Speaker 1: Why is that?
- 4:32Speaker 2: I mean, I just like a body. I'm really, there's nothing,
- 4:34Speaker 2: there's nothing here. There's no substance to me.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I like the substance.
- 4:37Speaker 2: You do?
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yes, I do. I'm really into that. So what was
- 4:40Speaker 1: it like seeing him in concert?
- 4:42Speaker 2: Okay. This is a real true story. I'm doing a
- 4:44Speaker 2: whole show and a whole episode on my podcast about this.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I brought three friends. One of them does not watch Bravo.
- 4:49Speaker 2: First of all, when I say bring, I mean like
- 4:51Speaker 2: they had to buy tickets, but they were $ 25. One
- 4:54Speaker 2: of them does not watch Bravo. The other two do.
- 4:56Speaker 2: The other two are like weak. Cannot believe we're going.
- 4:59Speaker 2: But it was like a night out. I'm like, you'll
- 5:00Speaker 2: come with me. We'll have drinks. We'll have fun. The
- 5:02Speaker 2: whole day, this is miserable. I can't believe if anyone
- 5:05Speaker 2: sees us there, we're so embarrassed. We get there. ABC
- 5:08Speaker 2: News is outside. They're like, if that camera points near
- 5:12Speaker 2: my direction one more time, I'm hyperventilating. I actually ended
- 5:15Speaker 2: up talking to it because they recognized me. And they're like,
- 5:18Speaker 2: aren't you in like the podcast? This is what you do,
- 5:20Speaker 2: a Bravo podcast. I'm like, all right, I'll speak to
- 5:21Speaker 2: you as long as you could say Bravo, you know,
- 5:23Speaker 2: behind the veil.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Who were the kind of people that were there?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Was it packed? It was okay. Well, I mean, they
- 5:28Speaker 2: show this thing online, Long Island. No one's there. It
- 5:31Speaker 2: was busier than I would have thought based on all
- 5:33Speaker 2: this hype. It's cover band. So they sing like Rosanna.
- 5:38Speaker 2: They sing like Journey. They sing songs. Oh, I love those.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Yes.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yes.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That's what I'm trying to tell you. It really covers 80s, 90s,
- 5:47Speaker 2: and like early 2000s. They did Outkast. Yes. What? So
- 5:51Speaker 2: then he's there. And then the shirt eventually comes off.
- 5:53Speaker 2: So I was like, when we left, I figured, no, no, no.
- 5:55Speaker 2: We all walk outside. My two friends, the two that
- 5:58Speaker 2: watch it, they're like, independently, they haven't talked about this.
- 6:01Speaker 2: They're both madly in love with Tom Sandoval. No way. Cannot.
- 6:05Speaker 2: We've been texting all week. Probably the best concert of
- 6:08Speaker 2: our life. I mean, we're obviously making a little bit
- 6:09Speaker 2: of a joke out of it. It's not their best concert.
- 6:12Speaker 2: But they're like, should we go to the DC show?
- 6:14Speaker 2: Where else is he playing? It's changed their lives. Wow.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Wow.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But that little clip I saw of him singing, was
- 6:21Speaker 1: that just a bad clip? Is he a good cover artist?
- 6:24Speaker 2: I thought he was a good singer. I think I
- 6:26Speaker 2: sent you Rosanna by Toto.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe. Okay.
- 6:30Speaker 2: All right.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Well, I will go to the next one with you.
- 6:34Speaker 2: How about that?
- 6:35Speaker 1: Did you actually meet him? Did you say hello?
- 6:37Speaker 2: I have a picture. I've put multiple pictures with him. Yes.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Did you ask him any questions?
- 6:42Speaker 2: Before the show, some of us in the industry were
- 6:47Speaker 2: able to go back, but he doesn't know what you're
- 6:49Speaker 2: in the industry. And I was like, should I mention
- 6:52Speaker 2: my whole point of being here is an actual Bravo podcast,
- 6:54Speaker 2: which I did because I felt good vibe. Then he
- 6:57Speaker 2: was like kind of taking it back. I'm like, this
- 6:59Speaker 2: is all off the record. Don't worry. I mean, of
- 7:02Speaker 2: course it isn't.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Except for now we're talking about it.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Except for now. You know, listen, I asked a lot
- 7:07Speaker 2: about it. I didn't say how's Raquel because she really
- 7:11Speaker 2: is in a mental facility. Now, no one has seen her,
- 7:13Speaker 2: so we don't know that for sure.
- 7:15Speaker 1: What do you mean by a mental facility?
- 7:17Speaker 2: Well, that's where it gets– some people are– look at it.
- 7:20Speaker 2: She's keeping a low profile. We don't know where she is.
- 7:23Speaker 2: He says she's at a true mental facility. No visitors,
- 7:27Speaker 2: no phone, no contact with the outside world, not a spot.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Why would she need to be at a mental facility?
- 7:33Speaker 2: I think– well– Unlike you, who the whole world came
- 7:38Speaker 2: for after you had relations with a certain someone. And
- 7:43Speaker 2: you understand. And if you're not, you don't know who
- 7:46Speaker 2: you are inside. And the whole world hates you and
- 7:50Speaker 2: is saying things. And imagine that. Would you be okay
- 7:52Speaker 2: if all that happened now with Instagram and social?
- 7:56Speaker 1: Well, you know, it's a good question because... It happened
- 8:00Speaker 1: to me exactly how it's happening to her, right? People
- 8:03Speaker 1: just absolutely hate her and she's getting a lot of
- 8:06Speaker 1: negative comments. And for her to turn on her phone
- 8:09Speaker 1: and see that in social media or even just to
- 8:12Speaker 1: hear how people are writing about her, it's really, really hard.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I mean, no matter what things you do in your life,
- 8:19Speaker 1: maybe mistakes, maybe things you don't regret, but it sounds
- 8:23Speaker 1: to me like they didn't regret what happened between them,
- 8:25Speaker 1: but people are not obviously liking her decisions, right? it
- 8:29Speaker 1: is so hard when people are so judgmental and awful
- 8:33Speaker 1: and almost violent towards you. I mean, we saw the
- 8:36Speaker 1: clips of the reunion and you see just in those clips,
- 8:41Speaker 1: the anger and people standing up and yelling at her
- 8:44Speaker 1: and calling her names and being so awful. And to
- 8:48Speaker 1: Tom too. I mean, I feel like in my situation,
- 8:51Speaker 1: the man didn't get a lot of flack. It took
- 8:54Speaker 1: this long for people to to start to maybe think
- 8:57Speaker 1: the man that I was involved with has some issues
- 9:00Speaker 1: and it wasn't just the women.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Well, there's been some new developments in that area too,
- 9:04Speaker 2: speaking of hot topics.
- 9:05Speaker 1: But I will say if I had the opportunity to
- 9:09Speaker 1: go away and get some help for whatever I was
- 9:12Speaker 1: dealing with, with my self-esteem, I probably would have taken it.
- 9:16Speaker 1: How I took it was I went on celebrity rehab.
- 9:18Speaker 1: That was a real moment for me, a real three
- 9:21Speaker 1: weeks where I became a recluse I couldn't leave my house.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I was super depressed. I lost everybody in my life.
- 9:27Speaker 1: And I was with Dr. Drew and eight or seven
- 9:29Speaker 1: other people for three weeks and dealt with the feelings.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Not that situation, but I dealt with what that's like to,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you know, be so hated and why I was so hated.
- 9:41Speaker 1: But it stemmed way further back in my life. So
- 9:44Speaker 1: I dealt with my life issues. So if she's doing that,
- 9:47Speaker 1: I totally get it. And more recently, like in 2000,
- 9:51Speaker 1: I checked myself into The Meadows. to deal with my
- 9:54Speaker 1: post-traumatic stress disorder from September 11th, from being in a
- 9:57Speaker 1: huge scandal that people like we're talking about hated me.
- 10:01Speaker 2: And still want to talk about to this day.
- 10:03Speaker 1: And still want to talk about and shame me for
- 10:06Speaker 1: to this day. It's really hard to take on my
- 10:10Speaker 1: own guilt. But everyone else's anger about how it triggers them,
- 10:17Speaker 1: that's a lot to handle. So I think if she
- 10:21Speaker 1: is in a mental facility, I wouldn't call it a
- 10:23Speaker 1: mental facility. I would think it's some sort of a rehab,
- 10:26Speaker 1: even though, you know, you don't have to be an
- 10:27Speaker 1: alcoholic or a drug user to go into rehab. If
- 10:30Speaker 1: she's taking time for herself, that's great. But the anger
- 10:34Speaker 1: that has, you know, that has come out of the scandal,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I really don't understand. That entire cast was based on
- 10:42Speaker 1: cheating and not being … loyal kind of. And so
- 10:47Speaker 1: I still don't get the level of anger that comes
- 10:50Speaker 1: from these former cheaters. Do you? No.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I mean, listen, I cover this so many times. As
- 10:56Speaker 2: you know, Behind the Velvet Rope is a three-day-a-week interview podcast.
- 10:59Speaker 2: In the other two days, we do hot topics like this.
- 11:01Speaker 2: So five days a week. Scandival is like every– it's
- 11:05Speaker 2: always– it's one of my hot topics just because people
- 11:07Speaker 2: want– I don't understand it at all.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Right.
- 11:09Speaker 2: You know, like I– Why haven't people.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Moved on to a different scenario?
- 11:13Speaker 2: Well, I'm hoping. I am hoping now, look, I don't
- 11:17Speaker 2: wish harm upon anyone, but now that Kim and Kroy
- 11:20Speaker 2: are getting divorced, my DMs are like, when are you
- 11:24Speaker 2: going to talk about this next week? We're finally talking
- 11:26Speaker 2: about it. I'm like, this doesn't even shock me either,
- 11:30Speaker 2: but this shocks me more and I'm more invested in
- 11:34Speaker 2: A woman that came on smoking cigarettes, cursing, was with
- 11:39Speaker 2: Big Papa, now is with Croy. Like, and has found
- 11:42Speaker 2: what seemed to be love. There was a whole spinoff show.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Has four kids with this man. Has two kids of
- 11:47Speaker 2: her own. Everyone knows. This, to me, is way more.
- 11:49Speaker 2: And now has, like, all these money problems. This is, like,
- 11:52Speaker 2: and I don't know.
- 11:53Speaker 1: This is a real scenario.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Yes.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I mean, what happened with them was, with Tom Sandoval
- 11:59Speaker 1: and his two women, was obviously a real scenario. But, like...
- 12:04Speaker 1: Kim and Croy, to me, this is like a marriage
- 12:06Speaker 1: falling apart and people were really invested in what they portrayed.
- 12:10Speaker 1: So what is your opinion on the divorce news with
- 12:14Speaker 1: Kim and Croy?
- 12:15Speaker 2: I mean, honestly, I didn't believe it. Well, no, I
- 12:21Speaker 2: believed it was a divorce, but I really thought it
- 12:23Speaker 2: was like a legal play for financial reasons. Interesting. Because,
- 12:26Speaker 2: you know, they each owe about a million dollars, which I, Lala,
- 12:30Speaker 2: have spoken out against them, as has Bethany. And I
- 12:33Speaker 2: agree with both. They both have something to say. And
- 12:35Speaker 2: I'm like, I agree with both of you on this.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Meaning what?
- 12:38Speaker 2: What do you mean? Well, Lala has come out and said,
- 12:41Speaker 2: you know, this really kind of puts the nail in
- 12:43Speaker 2: my coffin of like, why have a partner? I've been
- 12:45Speaker 2: saying that for years. I'm available. People can slip into
- 12:48Speaker 2: my DMs.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Meaning she thought they were the end-all be-all of reality
- 12:53Speaker 1: TV marriages?
- 12:54Speaker 2: Well, I think her own situation, Scandival, and now Kim
- 12:58Speaker 2: and Croy... You know, listen, I feel it's– I have
- 13:02Speaker 2: a jaded view of relationships. I think I have an
- 13:04Speaker 2: adult view of relationships. So she's just like, what's the point?
- 13:07Speaker 2: I'm thrilled– not bitter. I'm thrilled with my own life.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I'm like the best partner and I love my life.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I misunderstood.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Okay, guys, I'm so excited to tell you about our
- 13:18Speaker 1: new sponsor, Rocket Money. Rocket Money is a personal finance
- 13:22Speaker 1: app that finds and cancels your unwanted subscriptions, monitors your spending,
- 13:27Speaker 1: and helps you lower your bills all in one place. Literally,
- 13:30Speaker 1: the day I started using Rocket Money, just a few
- 13:32Speaker 1: days ago, they were able to find hundreds of dollars
- 13:36Speaker 1: in monthly subscriptions that I did not even know I had.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Literally hundreds. I was absolutely shocked and amazed by this.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Every month, I'm like, where's all my extra money going?
- 13:45Speaker 1: Now I know. Rocket Money showed me that I had
- 13:47Speaker 1: been paying for a monthly credit monitoring system that I
- 13:49Speaker 1: did not know about and hadn't been taking advantage of.
- 13:52Speaker 1: It also broke down those little transactions that are frequent
- 13:55Speaker 1: but seem innocent, such as those daily trips to Starbucks,
- 13:58Speaker 1: which can quickly add up to hundreds of dollars. Between
- 14:01Speaker 1: my daughter, Y, and I, we've been single-handedly keeping Starbucks
- 14:04Speaker 1: in business, and I will definitely have to be cutting
- 14:06Speaker 1: back on those coffee trips.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Are you learning to drive? From the 1st of November, 2026,
- 14:11Speaker 5: new rules will apply for learner permit holders. To get
- 14:15Speaker 5: a third or fourth learner permit, you must have taken
- 14:18Speaker 5: a driving test within the previous two years. After your
- 14:21Speaker 5: fourth permit, or if your permit has been expired for
- 14:24Speaker 5: more than two years, you will have to start the
- 14:26Speaker 5: learning to drive process again. Remember, you can only drive
- 14:30Speaker 5: unaccompanied if you hold a valid full driving license. Find
- 14:34Speaker 5: out more at rsa.ie, a message from the Road Safety Authority.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'm so excited about Rocket Money that I even told
- 14:40Speaker 1: my producer Kelly all about it, and now she's a
- 14:42Speaker 1: member as well. She's already found a ton of ways
- 14:44Speaker 1: to save money she didn't even know she was spending.
- 14:47Speaker 1: She's a single mother and so am I. So taking
- 14:49Speaker 1: control of where our money is going each month is
- 14:52Speaker 1: so important. Over 80% of people have subscriptions they forgot
- 14:55Speaker 1: about and chances are you are one of them. Like
- 14:58Speaker 1: that Starz app just to watch one show or the
- 15:00Speaker 1: free gaming trial you never actually used. Rocket Money will
- 15:03Speaker 1: quickly and easily find subscriptions for you. And for any
- 15:06Speaker 1: you don't want to pay for anymore, just hit cancel
- 15:09Speaker 1: and Rocket Money will cancel it for you.
- 15:11Speaker 2: It's that easy.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Rocket Money also helps you manage all your finances in
- 15:14Speaker 1: one place, automatically categorizes your expenses so you can quickly
- 15:18Speaker 1: and easily track your budget in real time and also
- 15:21Speaker 1: get alerted if anything looks off. Over 3 million people
- 15:24Speaker 1: have used Rocket Money, saving the average person up to
- 15:28Speaker 1: $ 720 a year. I'm not kidding you guys. When I
- 15:31Speaker 1: got a trial for this and started, I was blown away.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I love this app. I hope you try it because
- 15:38Speaker 1: you are going to be obsessed and you are going
- 15:40Speaker 1: to be happy that you did. Stop throwing away your money.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Cancel unwanted subscriptions. Manage your expenses the easy way by
- 15:46Speaker 1: going to rocketmoney.com slash understood. That's rocketmoney.com slash understood. RocketMoney.com
- 15:55Speaker 1: slash understood.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Kind of agree with all that. And then Bethany, yeah,
- 16:03Speaker 2: you'd like to say something?
- 16:03Speaker 1: Well, I just want to say that that seems ….
- 16:05Speaker 2: You're going to say that's bullshit. You're hiding something. No.
- 16:07Speaker 2: You're really unhappy.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Not at all.
- 16:09Speaker 2: You need therapy. You have to get to the root
- 16:10Speaker 2: of your issues. No.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I was going to say people get divorced all the time.
- 16:13Speaker 1: They had a long run for them. How long were
- 16:16Speaker 1: they married?
- 16:17Speaker 2: I think 11 years. Okay.
- 16:18Speaker 1: So they had a long run and … People fall
- 16:21Speaker 1: out of love, people, when they have financial problems, that
- 16:24Speaker 1: causes a lot of tension, a lot of anger, a
- 16:27Speaker 1: lot of blame. We don't know what the actual reasoning
- 16:30Speaker 1: is for their divorce, but it could have been coming
- 16:33Speaker 1: for a lot of years. She did a lot of spending.
- 16:36Speaker 1: She kind of changed him a little bit, you know,
- 16:39Speaker 1: in the years that you see Croy develop or whatever.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And her kids have completely morphed and changed. And maybe
- 16:46Speaker 1: they just, you know, there are obviously issues that we
- 16:48Speaker 1: don't know. We can only speculate, but people get divorced
- 16:50Speaker 1: all the time. I don't know why that puts the
- 16:52Speaker 1: coffin in somebody not believing in relationships. That seems a little.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Odd to me. I just already, for me, it didn't
- 16:58Speaker 2: put the nail in it. I just already felt this way. Like, okay,
- 17:00Speaker 2: welcome to it.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I mean, I agree. I'm cynical about relationships for my
- 17:04Speaker 1: own reasons, but not because people in reality TV don't work.
- 17:07Speaker 2: And by the way, now it's rumored. This is breaking.
- 17:10Speaker 2: I don't know. Like in 24 hours, we might find
- 17:12Speaker 2: out something else. But a rumor is that she's also
- 17:14Speaker 2: been seeing this older gentleman with lots of money.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Well, that would be, you know, par for the course
- 17:21Speaker 1: for her, right?
- 17:22Speaker 2: That's why. Now I'm like, oh. Like, it went from, like,
- 17:24Speaker 2: what happened to, like, is Kim just, I mean, trash? Like,
- 17:29Speaker 2: is she just going from one to the next to
- 17:32Speaker 2: the next just for money? I guess that doesn't make
- 17:34Speaker 2: you trash. I guess that's harsh. I should take that back,
- 17:37Speaker 2: Kim Zolciak. But it just, I don't know. Like, we
- 17:41Speaker 2: met her that way with Big Papa. Listen, I understand it.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I'm not judging because I really am not. I don't
- 17:47Speaker 2: judge anyone. It's just more like, I don't know what,
- 17:50Speaker 2: I don't know why that's disappointing to me. Yeah. If
- 17:52Speaker 2: that's why. It's more like, I don't know, I guess
- 17:55Speaker 2: like we thought you really fell in love.
- 17:57Speaker 1: That might not be the cause. That might be who
- 17:58Speaker 1: she's with now.
- 17:59Speaker 2: I'm all about dating wealthy and like I am no
- 18:02Speaker 2: one to judge anyone. I'm just like, I thought maybe
- 18:06Speaker 2: she was so in love with Croy. Yeah.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Well, he's hot.
- 18:09Speaker 2: He's super hot.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I think he's hot. You know what I mean?
- 18:11Speaker 2: I'd rather have Tom Sandoval.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Oh, God. Back on that one again.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I'd rather have Tom Sandoval. So, I mean, I guess–
- 18:16Speaker 2: and then Bethany went on a rant of, which I agree. Listen,
- 18:21Speaker 2: I love material things. I mean, I'm all about spend it,
- 18:25Speaker 2: have multiple cars, have– I mean, I'm all about conspicuous consumption.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Let's spend like it's the 80s, guys. Not if you
- 18:32Speaker 2: don't have it. Yeah. So Bethany went on a rant
- 18:35Speaker 2: like pay your fucking bills and this is what's wrong
- 18:37Speaker 2: with America and what's wrong with the world is that
- 18:39Speaker 2: people just, I don't understand that. You go out, you
- 18:42Speaker 2: spend $ 4, 000 on your credit card, the bill comes, you
- 18:46Speaker 2: can only pay $ 300. Well, guess what? That was a
- 18:48Speaker 2: bad month. You should never now spend another penny on
- 18:50Speaker 2: that credit card until that thing is– I mean, I
- 18:52Speaker 2: don't understand that type of living. That's just me.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I agree that that is an American trait and that
- 18:58Speaker 1: is something that is really difficult to see people get
- 19:03Speaker 1: into that scenario. It's not just a reality TV thing though. No.
- 19:07Speaker 1: So many people try to live above their means. So
- 19:09Speaker 1: many people are living a smoke and mirrors life. Well,
- 19:12Speaker 1: probably because of things like reality TV and because everything
- 19:15Speaker 1: is about who you are, what you look like, what
- 19:19Speaker 1: car you drive, where you live. I mean, people find
- 19:22Speaker 1: their self-worth in those things.
- 19:26Speaker 2: But that's a Band-Aid. So you buy the Bentley. The
- 19:31Speaker 2: Band-Aid is there. You're thrilled for three weeks. You still
- 19:33Speaker 2: have to live with the fact that you are insecure
- 19:36Speaker 2: and you haven't worked on yourself.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Right. Well, and always it ends up. exploding, imploding later
- 19:43Speaker 1: because you can't keep it going. And you know, if
- 19:47Speaker 1: you're using those things, right, to get a man, to
- 19:51Speaker 1: get a woman, whatever it is, people will eventually see
- 19:55Speaker 1: who you are on the inside. So all those things
- 19:57Speaker 1: won't cover it. I think that that's, you know, the
- 19:59Speaker 1: end result. result and you end.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Up why don't people you and i are sitting here
- 20:03Speaker 2: and realize this like if you can afford it by
- 20:06Speaker 2: all means buy a new louis vuitton bag every week
- 20:09Speaker 2: oh who's guilty of that i love my louis yeah
- 20:12Speaker 2: i am calling for an intervention a little bit but
- 20:14Speaker 2: i'm not doing it for the wrong reasons i'm doing
- 20:18Speaker 2: because i can afford it and i like it.
- 20:20Speaker 1: But you do get like a new bag every week
- 20:22Speaker 1: yes but i'm not your podcast must be doing really well.
- 20:25Speaker 2: But listen okay time out for a minute I am
- 20:29Speaker 2: not doing that to fill any void.
- 20:32Speaker 1: No.
- 20:32Speaker 2: You know, like, okay, we all do things. People drink.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I mean, sure. Like, you know, but it's, if I
- 20:38Speaker 2: couldn't afford it, trust me, it would be over. Right.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I would go live in one room, in one room
- 20:44Speaker 2: studio somewhere in a, I would be happy.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Right. Well, it also, you know, when you don't have
- 20:50Speaker 1: that anxiety of, oh God, this is going to catch
- 20:53Speaker 1: up with me or, oh God, I can't afford this
- 20:55Speaker 1: and it's going to prevent me from paying my rent
- 20:57Speaker 1: next month, whatever it is. I mean, when you don't
- 21:00Speaker 1: have that anxiety, it feels much better about living in
- 21:03Speaker 1: the moment.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I'll say that. Yeah. And you're not doing it like
- 21:06Speaker 2: to say, look at me.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Right. Oh, exactly.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Exactly. I mean, that's why the Chrisleys are in jail.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Yes.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:12Speaker 1: And what's the story with that? I still have never
- 21:14Speaker 1: understood that.
- 21:15Speaker 2: I mean, it was definitely– because people are like, why
- 21:17Speaker 2: did they get more time than Jen Shah? Like, they
- 21:19Speaker 2: definitely have more charges, like tax evasion. They also, I think,
- 21:25Speaker 2: at one point, Julie lied or they were caught in lies,
- 21:28Speaker 2: like lies on something. They were lying to the government
- 21:31Speaker 2: about something.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Which you should never do.
- 21:33Speaker 2: You should never do. You should also never– listen, if
- 21:36Speaker 2: you want to do something bad, tax– not paying your
- 21:40Speaker 2: taxes is probably– that would be, like, last on my list. Mm-hmm.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Like that's really– there's no coming back from that. Right, right, right.
- 21:48Speaker 2: That ain't going to end well ever.
- 21:49Speaker 1: No, and we've seen so many people go to jail
- 21:51Speaker 1: for that. I mean, didn't Wesley Snipes go to jail
- 21:54Speaker 1: for that back in the day?
- 21:55Speaker 2: I like the situation from Jersey Shore.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Right, right. There's a lot of people. So it happens.
- 22:00Speaker 1: No matter who you are, you'll go to jail for that.
- 22:02Speaker 2: I mean, listen, I don't want to pay my taxes either.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I want more money. I want all my money, but–
- 22:08Speaker 2: You know, I'm like crazy with that stuff. Like really anal. Like, well, okay,
- 22:12Speaker 2: maybe we should take this. But no, no, no. If
- 22:14Speaker 2: it's going to be a red flag, like I don't
- 22:15Speaker 2: want to say I did like this is just pay it.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Like I just don't come back in like one of
- 22:20Speaker 2: those people. Right, right. Like I don't want you coming
- 22:22Speaker 2: for me in five years for anything.
- 22:23Speaker 1: No, of course not. Okay, so let's talk about what
- 22:26Speaker 1: are the hot topics right now. You've had a lot
- 22:28Speaker 1: of people on your show. You just had Suzanne Summers
- 22:32Speaker 1: on your show who made some news and said that
- 22:35Speaker 1: she was one of the original people that was asked
- 22:37Speaker 1: to be on The View with Barbara Walters, and she
- 22:39Speaker 1: turned that down. She did. Yeah.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Which we just kind of, it wasn't even, like, that's
- 22:45Speaker 2: where being a podcast, being in my fourth year, I
- 22:47Speaker 2: have a trained ear now when I hear something. I'm like, what?
- 22:51Speaker 1: So you know it's going to be news.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Well, yeah, like that, the whole reason that even came
- 22:56Speaker 2: up is, I mean, I didn't ask about it. I said,
- 22:58Speaker 2: you know, what about you on Shark Tank? We've had Bethany,
- 23:01Speaker 2: we've had Alex Rodriguez, you know, Suzanne Somers, Thighmaster. I mean,
- 23:05Speaker 2: Suzanne Somers has real money. Talk about people that have
- 23:08Speaker 2: real money. The Thighmaster is huge. So I was like,
- 23:11Speaker 2: would you ever go on Shark Tank? I figured that
- 23:13Speaker 2: alone could have been something. And she was like, no,
- 23:16Speaker 2: you know, it's not really for me. I don't really
- 23:17Speaker 2: buy for time, you know, airtime well. And I'm kind
- 23:20Speaker 2: of like alone. You know, actually, for her, it was nothing.
- 23:23Speaker 2: She didn't know what she was doing. She wasn't supposed
- 23:25Speaker 2: to be a thing. And I was like, wait, wait, wait.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Like the original view with Barbara Walters, like they actually
- 23:31Speaker 2: wanted you. And she was like, yeah. And, you know,
- 23:34Speaker 2: I just could see, could sense that this show would
- 23:37Speaker 2: be vying for airtime, talking over people. I mean, exactly
- 23:40Speaker 2: what The View is. So I was like, David, stay
- 23:43Speaker 2: on this. Throw the script away. This is something. And
- 23:46Speaker 2: I was like, and then you don't know. So then
- 23:48Speaker 2: you Google afterwards, like, Suzanne Somers, The View. And you're like,
- 23:51Speaker 2: I don't see anything. And then you do it. Oh,
- 23:53Speaker 2: she was on The View. I'm like, this is not
- 23:55Speaker 2: out there. Which is because, you know, I mean, she's 76. Like,
- 23:59Speaker 2: there's many interviews. Like the view started when I'm like,
- 24:02Speaker 2: this could be out there, but it's not. And even
- 24:04Speaker 2: if it's out there, you could still get press with it.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Like that's the crazy thing about this. If someone said
- 24:09Speaker 2: something five years ago, no one, unless you're in the weeds,
- 24:12Speaker 2: no one really. But I was like, this is not
- 24:14Speaker 2: out there. I'm like, this is a major thing that
- 24:16Speaker 2: she would have been sitting there. Suzanne Somers, that's pretty big.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Right. That would have been great. I would have loved
- 24:20Speaker 1: to see her on it.
- 24:21Speaker 2: One of my favorite interviews ever.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Yeah. She's fantastic. So another thing you've gotten press for
- 24:26Speaker 1: is talking about who is on Ozempic in Hollywood. Or
- 24:30Speaker 1: maybe not in Hollywood, but in reality TV.
- 24:32Speaker 2: And in Hollywood. Okay.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I've talked about it. And your own journey, so to speak,
- 24:38Speaker 1: on Ozempic yourself.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Manjaro and the semi-glute habit. Yeah, same thing.
- 24:42Speaker 1: So people that have heard about this that don't know
- 24:46Speaker 1: much about it, why don't you tell them how it
- 24:47Speaker 1: makes you feel, what it does?
- 24:49Speaker 2: I admit it.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Why are people so nuts about this topic?
- 24:52Speaker 2: Well, you know, I think– listen, to be honest with you,
- 24:56Speaker 2: you'd be shocked. This really is– the amount of people
- 24:58Speaker 2: that slip into my DMs, I would say only 1%
- 25:03Speaker 2: is a hater. 99% are like– How can I do it? Well, yes.
- 25:08Speaker 2: And I've referred people to my true medical professional that
- 25:12Speaker 2: you work with that needs to write a prescription. But
- 25:15Speaker 2: most people are like, you know, thank God you're just
- 25:17Speaker 2: being honest about it. Really, I think that's where– Because
- 25:20Speaker 2: let's face it, everyone's lying about it. Right. I don't
- 25:24Speaker 2: know why.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I think that people want to act like
- 25:27Speaker 1: they're losing weight on their own and it's hard work.
- 25:30Speaker 1: And I think probably people are embarrassed because they don't
- 25:33Speaker 1: want to admit that they're taking a drug that could
- 25:34Speaker 1: probably go to somebody else who is sick with diabetes.
- 25:38Speaker 1: It's a diabetes drug for people that don't know. And
- 25:40Speaker 1: the side effect is it helps you lose weight. So
- 25:43Speaker 1: that's why a lot of people are taking it. And
- 25:46Speaker 1: it could be for huge amounts of weight. Or it
- 25:48Speaker 1: could be for even just a little tweak in your body,
- 25:51Speaker 1: the last little bit that you can't get off. So
- 25:53Speaker 1: for you, what was it like? You lost a decent
- 25:56Speaker 1: amount of.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Weight, right? Like almost 40 pounds. Yeah, yeah. Huge.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Almost in a healthy way though. I mean, it just
- 26:02Speaker 1: cuts down your appetite, right? Well, you tell me.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I mean, yeah. So I guess that's the controversy that A,
- 26:08Speaker 2: you're taking something that right now, like Manjaro, is only
- 26:11Speaker 2: prescribed for people that have diabetes. However- It is going
- 26:15Speaker 2: to be FDA approved for weight loss. I said this
- 26:18Speaker 2: from the first day, and I will stand by this.
- 26:21Speaker 2: You can love this. You can hate this. This has
- 26:25Speaker 2: changed the weight loss industry forever. You can quote me
- 26:28Speaker 2: on that. I was just in the Wall Street Journal
- 26:30Speaker 2: talking about this. I don't know everything, but when I
- 26:33Speaker 2: focus on something, it's like, this is Botox. This is
- 26:36Speaker 2: truly Botox. So- This has changed the weight loss industry forever.
- 26:41Speaker 1: And it's a quick fix. I mean, you could lose
- 26:44Speaker 1: a lot of weight very quickly.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Since October, I lost 40 pounds. Yeah.
- 26:47Speaker 1: And then keep it off too because it's something you
- 26:50Speaker 1: can stay on and maintain in cycles or whatever. I mean,
- 26:54Speaker 1: I'm not a doctor, but you could get it off
- 26:57Speaker 1: and keep it off. It's not like fluctuating.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Well, this is where a lot... Well, first of all, yes. Now,
- 27:02Speaker 2: I mean, I just want to say because people... I
- 27:04Speaker 2: think some people maybe if you're not educated by this
- 27:06Speaker 2: think that you... Take your injection once a week and
- 27:11Speaker 2: then life is good and you eat a key lime
- 27:13Speaker 2: pie for breakfast and you have pizza for lunch. So
- 27:16Speaker 2: it's like none of that is true. Like you're not
- 27:19Speaker 2: cheating the system in the sense that you're eating and
- 27:21Speaker 2: enjoying life. You are doing this and you're right. It
- 27:24Speaker 2: really kills your appetite. In large part because of the
- 27:29Speaker 2: side effects are so bad, at least for me. Interesting.
- 27:32Speaker 1: What were the side effects you had?
- 27:33Speaker 2: I'll tell you. But so, I mean, for me, it's like, look,
- 27:36Speaker 2: that's where it's like, it's no picnic. And I tell
- 27:39Speaker 2: people that slip into my DMs that are like, can
- 27:41Speaker 2: you connect me? I'm like, I'm out of this. I'm
- 27:43Speaker 2: not the medical professional. You actually need to go through
- 27:45Speaker 2: a consult and a blood test. But I'm like.
- 27:48Speaker 4: With Super Value's Real Rewards prices, you can now get

- 27:59Speaker 4: app at the till, and get great savings on your shopping.
- 28:02Speaker 4: New Real Rewards prices from Super Value. Yes, you scan.
- 28:07Speaker 2: If you're asking me if I have side effects, I'm
- 28:09Speaker 2: going to be honest, you do. I mean, everything. Like,
- 28:13Speaker 2: I've had all of them. You get... First of all,
- 28:17Speaker 2: you get really exhausted at times. Like I was in
- 28:20Speaker 2: the beginning, it was worse than COVID. Like I could
- 28:23Speaker 2: not keep my eyes open. That's, I mean, really. And
- 28:26Speaker 2: then also at some point you're eating so little in
- 28:28Speaker 2: the beginning that it's because of that. But I mean,
- 28:31Speaker 2: you do get nauseous to either throwing up or your
- 28:34Speaker 2: stomach is in such cramps that you feel like you're
- 28:38Speaker 2: going to throw up, but don't. That's the worst feeling.
- 28:43Speaker 2: For me, the absolute worst side effect is the digestive issues.
- 28:48Speaker 2: So here's, you know, for- Sounds wonderful. Well, here's also,
- 28:51Speaker 2: let me tell you this. It also, the way it works,
- 28:53Speaker 2: just for people that don't know, is once you inject yourself, you, you,
- 29:00Speaker 2: the food stays in your stomach. So if you and
- 29:02Speaker 2: I went out for a lunch right now, you would
- 29:05Speaker 2: just say the normal digestion time for that is 12
- 29:07Speaker 2: hours or whatever. I'm just making that up. For me,
- 29:09Speaker 2: it stays in my system for maybe like 36 hours.
- 29:14Speaker 2: So imagine if we both had a burger and fries,
- 29:16Speaker 2: you would be hungry for dinner because it's lunchtime because
- 29:20Speaker 2: that's normal. Whereas my burger will sit in my stomach
- 29:23Speaker 2: probably for two days.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Oh.
- 29:26Speaker 2: That's how it works.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Wow. Oh, to keep you full, you mean.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, that's just, and again, I'm not a doctor.
- 29:32Speaker 2: So everyone, I cannot, prescribe. I'm just oversimplifying. So when
- 29:37Speaker 2: you say burp a certain way, you know how when
- 29:40Speaker 2: you have that great Italian meal and you burp and
- 29:43Speaker 2: you're like, oh, it's so satisfying, that chicken parm I
- 29:46Speaker 2: had last night for dinner. What a great taste. Here,
- 29:50Speaker 2: the burp is tied to something that has been in
- 29:53Speaker 2: your stomach for like three days. Oh, gross. Okay. Yeah,
- 29:55Speaker 2: we can just leave it at that. The burps are
- 29:57Speaker 2: the absolute worst.
- 29:58Speaker 1: So let's play a game. Are they on Ozempic or
- 30:03Speaker 1: are they not on it? Or are they just losing
- 30:05Speaker 1: weight and healthy by going to the gym?
- 30:08Speaker 2: Let's see. Okay.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Let me think. Because there's a lot.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 30:13Speaker 1: So Kim, like Kim and Croy, we were talking. First
- 30:16Speaker 1: of all, Croy doesn't need it. But do you think Kim?
- 30:19Speaker 2: I need to take a better look at her. I
- 30:21Speaker 2: would say no. Someone just sent me a picture and
- 30:24Speaker 2: they're like, look how much weight she lost. And I'm like,
- 30:26Speaker 2: I don't see it. I didn't see a ton. Do
- 30:28Speaker 2: you think it's a ton of weight?
- 30:29Speaker 1: I think she looks good for her. I've never really
- 30:31Speaker 1: followed her body too much. I mean, she always is
- 30:34Speaker 1: showing her wigs and her hair and her face and
- 30:36Speaker 1: her makeup.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Believe it or not, I'm going to say no Ozempic.
- 30:39Speaker 2: I think it's like a normal weight loss and she's
- 30:41Speaker 2: always been kind of athletic. I would say for now,
- 30:44Speaker 2: I'm going to say Kim is normal. And look what
- 30:46Speaker 2: she's going through, a divorce. Mm-hmm. I'm going to say
- 30:49Speaker 2: normal weight loss for Kim.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Okay. How about Adele?
- 30:54Speaker 2: Ozempic. Really? I think so.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:57Speaker 2: It's such a drastic– I mean, this is not hard
- 31:01Speaker 2: for people to get these days. Now you factor in
- 31:05Speaker 2: celebrity and someone who has endless amounts of money. Mm-hmm.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I don't buy it. I don't buy it. And that's,
- 31:11Speaker 2: by the way, when people say to me, they're like,
- 31:14Speaker 2: thank God you're being honest because I think that's the
- 31:17Speaker 2: person that's sitting home that is eating a salad a
- 31:20Speaker 2: day and is drinking water and is trying so hard
- 31:25Speaker 2: to exercise and is starving and is just miserable with
- 31:28Speaker 2: how hard they're trying and the weight is not coming
- 31:30Speaker 2: off because they're not 19 years old. I think that's
- 31:34Speaker 2: why they appreciate someone that says, I didn't, you know, yes,
- 31:38Speaker 2: I still exercise. It is diet because you're not hungry.
- 31:42Speaker 2: But like, this is how I lost my weight. They're like,
- 31:44Speaker 2: at least we know why you had such a drastic
- 31:47Speaker 2: weight loss. And we are not beating ourselves up for that.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Because we can't do it.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Because listen, when you're on a diet and you're starving
- 31:54Speaker 2: and you're like, I'm just going to eat everything in
- 31:56Speaker 2: sight now because I've been trying so hard and eating
- 31:59Speaker 2: lettuce and vinegar and peas and carrots. And I want that.
- 32:03Speaker 2: And nothing is coming off. Fuck this. I'm just going
- 32:05Speaker 2: to eat 12 pizzas a day. That's at least for
- 32:07Speaker 2: me when I was dieting. At least they're like, now
- 32:10Speaker 2: we get it why it's working for you and not
- 32:11Speaker 2: for me. There isn't anything wrong with for me at
- 32:14Speaker 2: 49 years old and I'm trying so hard and I
- 32:16Speaker 2: just can't take this weight off.
- 32:18Speaker 1: What about?
- 32:19Speaker 2: So I don't buy it, Adele.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Black China.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Ooh.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I would say no Ozempic. I feel like it's like
- 32:26Speaker 2: a normal weight loss. I don't see such a drastic
- 32:29Speaker 2: change with her.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Also, she's taken a lot of her implants out.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Or made them smaller, whatever, however you do that. But
- 32:37Speaker 1: she looks much more natural and tiny to me.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Yeah. I would say all of that plus like a healthy,
- 32:42Speaker 2: clean lifestyle and there's no more lawsuit with Rob Kardashian
- 32:46Speaker 2: that's in the past. I would say no Ozempic.
- 32:49Speaker 1: She's just let things go naturally.
- 32:50Speaker 2: J-Lo. J-Lo. I would say Noah Zempik. I mean, she's
- 32:57Speaker 2: always– I mean, I think she's a freak of nature.
- 32:59Speaker 2: I don't understand it. What is she now? 51, I think?
- 33:03Speaker 1: Something like that, yeah.
- 33:04Speaker 2: 52. I mean, she is just– I mean, oh, my God.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Did you see her at the Met? Oh, she killed–
- 33:10Speaker 2: she is just– No, I didn't.
- 33:11Speaker 1: She– She looked great.
- 33:14Speaker 2: She was in Ralph Lauren. The theme this year was
- 33:16Speaker 2: Karl Lagerfeld. She looked– I think she's so natural.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:20Speaker 2: She's beautiful. Not normal. Not normal. That that's her body
- 33:24Speaker 2: and that's her skin and all that. Look, okay, yeah.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Do I think she's put needles in her face for Botox?
- 33:30Speaker 2: I would say sure. Yeah.
- 33:31Speaker 1: But she also has that darker skin, so she has
- 33:34Speaker 1: that glow. She looks more natural and younger no matter
- 33:36Speaker 1: her age.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:38Speaker 1: And she's a dancer. She's fit. So speaking of J-Lo,
- 33:41Speaker 1: let's talk about the news that was just out about them.
- 33:44Speaker 1: And people are trying to dissect J-Lo. The body language
- 33:48Speaker 1: between her and her husband, Ben. What do you think
- 33:51Speaker 1: about that?
- 33:51Speaker 2: I mean, listen, this keeps coming up, right? It came
- 33:54Speaker 2: up at the Emmys. Now, I saw something. I don't
- 33:56Speaker 2: even know if this is true. Some mouth reader, someone
- 33:59Speaker 2: who reads lips, apparently read their lips and said it
- 34:03Speaker 2: was them on the carpet. And he was like, are
- 34:04Speaker 2: you okay? Do you want me to get out of
- 34:06Speaker 2: your limelight? A little bit to the left. It was
- 34:08Speaker 2: all about their poses and getting the pictures in. And
- 34:12Speaker 2: the exact opposite of what people are saying. Right. Then
- 34:15Speaker 2: we have that car door where, I mean, you slam
- 34:18Speaker 2: a car door. That's not, I mean, a lot of
- 34:20Speaker 2: people slam a car door.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Sometimes you throw the door closed. You're like, oh, whoops.
- 34:25Speaker 1: It must be really hard for them living under the
- 34:27Speaker 1: microscope where it almost seems like the tone is people
- 34:30Speaker 1: don't want them to succeed. People want there to be
- 34:33Speaker 1: some sort of issue between the two of them. Don't
- 34:35Speaker 1: you think?
- 34:36Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know why. I mean, maybe because she's
- 34:39Speaker 2: like looking for love all the time and that's the
- 34:41Speaker 2: narrative surrounding her and they were together.
- 34:43Speaker 1: And And she gets married very fast.
- 34:45Speaker 2: She gets married and falls very fast. And this was fast,
- 34:49Speaker 2: even though, you know, and I mean, I guess also
- 34:51Speaker 2: because of Ben and he had his own addiction issues
- 34:54Speaker 2: and he's painted as like a bad guy in the media. Yeah,
- 34:57Speaker 2: I don't really get it. Like, why aren't people coming
- 35:00Speaker 2: for all these other couples that are out there newly forming?
- 35:05Speaker 2: I don't know. I hope that it lasts, right? Yeah.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Do we need another Kim and Croy? Like, I would
- 35:11Speaker 2: like to see J.Lo... Look, if it didn't work, it
- 35:15Speaker 2: wouldn't shock me because look what they're under. This media
- 35:20Speaker 2: scrutiny and like she obviously works all the time and
- 35:23Speaker 2: he works a lot. But I don't know. I think
- 35:26Speaker 2: there's something to be said about coming. It's like the
- 35:29Speaker 2: person you marry that you went to high school with
- 35:31Speaker 2: and you. reconnect at that reunion when you're 42 years old.
- 35:34Speaker 1: I love that.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I mean, wouldn't that be great to have somebody from
- 35:38Speaker 1: your past that knows you, that cares about you for
- 35:42Speaker 1: who you were and isn't so impressed necessarily, but has
- 35:46Speaker 1: a respect for you. So wait a minute. I want
- 35:48Speaker 1: to talk about a couple that seems to be in
- 35:51Speaker 1: a very good place. What do you think of the
- 35:53Speaker 1: news about Chrishell from Selling Sunset and her new marriage
- 35:57Speaker 1: with a woman, G Flip?
- 35:59Speaker 2: Well, her ex, Jason Oppenheim, says he totally supports it.
- 36:03Speaker 2: They are just the stellar couple. You know, it's been
- 36:09Speaker 2: also a year. It hasn't been forever. I'm not for
- 36:14Speaker 2: or against it. It's just the whole thing. Like, just
- 36:17Speaker 2: like myself, Mr. Jason Oppenheim, another person I can relate to,
- 36:22Speaker 2: is successful in business and just doesn't really want children.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 36:27Speaker 4: I misunderstood you.
- 36:30Speaker 1: This episode is brought to you by BetterHelp. Sometimes in life,
- 36:34Speaker 1: we're faced with tough choices and the path forward isn't
- 36:36Speaker 1: always clear. I personally have been through a lot of
- 36:39Speaker 1: trying times in my life, trauma, grief, for example. I
- 36:42Speaker 1: think those are universal themes that people can really understand.
- 36:46Speaker 1: I lost my fiance, Andy, in 9-11 and the pain
- 36:49Speaker 1: was unbearable. Since then, I've gone through other traumas that
- 36:52Speaker 1: didn't feel as big, but I still needed to talk
- 36:55Speaker 1: to somebody and having somebody I didn't know that well,
- 36:59Speaker 1: but was really good at listening, felt like the right
- 37:01Speaker 1: thing to do and it was so helpful to me.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I love that I can have someone to talk to
- 37:06Speaker 1: that isn't one of my close friends that I can
- 37:08Speaker 1: just confide in and feel like it's between us. If

- 38:05Speaker 2: I mean, I'd be, I would, listen, if Jason said, oh,
- 38:07Speaker 2: my girlfriend and I now are having a child, I
- 38:10Speaker 2: would be just as shocked, you know, because that's the
- 38:13Speaker 2: whole reason. And he loved Chrishell so much. And she
- 38:16Speaker 2: wants a child. We saw it on the show. The
- 38:18Speaker 2: new season of Selling Sunset is back May 19th. I
- 38:21Speaker 2: cannot wait. I don't work for Netflix. I'm just putting
- 38:24Speaker 2: that out there.
- 38:25Speaker 1: We're just so excited to see it.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Rachel, beyond.
- 38:28Speaker 1: By the way, Nick Cannon's baby mama is the newest
- 38:32Speaker 1: girl on it. So this should be a really interesting season.
- 38:35Speaker 2: It's going to be great. And so, like, that would
- 38:39Speaker 2: shock me. I mean, he basically broke up with her because, like,
- 38:42Speaker 2: I love you so much. First of all, I do
- 38:44Speaker 2: believe that they broke up and now they work together.
- 38:47Speaker 2: And he's also the boss. And he just has such
- 38:49Speaker 2: respect and love for her as a person. I love
- 38:51Speaker 2: to see that.
- 38:51Speaker 1: I agree with that, too. But, you know, it's interesting
- 38:54Speaker 1: that everybody thought the reasoning was because of the timing
- 38:56Speaker 1: of wanting a child. Okay, so now she's fallen in
- 38:59Speaker 1: love with a woman, which we haven't heard that this
- 39:02Speaker 1: was something in her past. I mean, I think this
- 39:03Speaker 1: is a new kind of development in her sexuality. And
- 39:08Speaker 1: as we know, if she's going to have a baby
- 39:09Speaker 1: with this woman, they have to adopt or do something
- 39:13Speaker 1: with a surrogate, which is the same kind of stuff
- 39:15Speaker 1: she could have done with Jason if they were on
- 39:18Speaker 1: the same page. Maybe this girl is on the same
- 39:20Speaker 1: page with her and they want kids immediately, which is
- 39:22Speaker 1: why they got married now.
- 39:24Speaker 2: I mean, I would hope so. That would be cool. Yeah,
- 39:27Speaker 2: like it's not strange to me or I'm not that shocked.
- 39:31Speaker 2: I would just hope like, have you lost, like are
- 39:36Speaker 2: you on the rebound or are you so in love
- 39:38Speaker 2: with this person that you forgot like you want a
- 39:42Speaker 2: family and children? Right. If they announce they're having a
- 39:45Speaker 2: family and children, whichever way, I would be like, this
- 39:49Speaker 2: makes complete sense. Good for you. Yeah. Good for you.
- 39:52Speaker 1: What do you think about people finding a new path
- 39:56Speaker 1: in their sexuality late in life after a breakup?
- 40:00Speaker 2: I don't really– look, I'm all for it. I don't
- 40:05Speaker 2: know if I really understand it. Yeah. I mean, like, look,
- 40:13Speaker 2: I don't know. I– I understand so many things, especially
- 40:17Speaker 2: as a gay man. Fluidity is less, I mean, look,
- 40:21Speaker 2: there are people that are fluid, right? And I don't
- 40:24Speaker 2: even mean like bisexual. I mean, you just talk to
- 40:27Speaker 2: certain people that are like, I just, I mean, what
- 40:30Speaker 2: a great thing to be able to just meet the
- 40:32Speaker 2: person and connect with them. You know, like Tyler Posey from,
- 40:38Speaker 2: what show is that on MTV? That vampire show? Teen Wolf.
- 40:41Speaker 2: I mean, he's, more or less into women, but it's like,
- 40:45Speaker 2: oh no, I'm fluid and I've been with plenty of guys.
- 40:47Speaker 2: And I just don't really, I don't know. I'm so
- 40:51Speaker 2: not fluid.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not either. I mean, I like a real man.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I mean, I like manly men.
- 40:56Speaker 2: You prefer Croy over Tom Sandoval and his nail polish,
- 40:58Speaker 2: so I understand.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I couldn't, I don't think I could be attracted
- 41:01Speaker 1: to somebody who wears nail polish because I don't like
- 41:04Speaker 1: feminine qualities in the person that I date. That's just me,
- 41:08Speaker 1: you know, personally. I think it would bother me. But,
- 41:11Speaker 1: you know, I don't have anything against people finding their
- 41:14Speaker 1: person because they fall in love with the person.
- 41:17Speaker 4: With Super Value's Real Rewards Prices, you can now get

- 41:31Speaker 4: New Real Rewards Prices from Super Value. Yes, you scan.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Person inside. I mean, I get it. I haven't found my...
- 41:39Speaker 1: I mean, I'm still... You know, I'm not married, so
- 41:41Speaker 1: it hasn't happened to me yet.
- 41:43Speaker 2: You don't want to start dating women?
- 41:44Speaker 1: I don't think so, no. Unless she was super manly.
- 41:48Speaker 1: So I don't think, you know, and then at that
- 41:50Speaker 1: point I could date a man.
- 41:51Speaker 2: There's manly women out there.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Well, okay, but I'd like to find a man. I
- 41:55Speaker 1: can fix you up. Do you want me to fix
- 41:56Speaker 1: you up? No, I think I'd like to find a
- 41:57Speaker 1: man first.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Okay. That would be better.
- 42:00Speaker 1: But speaking of LGBTQ and that kind of fluidity at
- 42:04Speaker 1: the moment, let's talk about that because it's a really
- 42:06Speaker 1: hot topic. Have you had anyone on your show to
- 42:09Speaker 1: talk about that topic yet?
- 42:10Speaker 2: What topic?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Well, LGBTQ in general and the fact that it's in sports.
- 42:16Speaker 1: I mean, so many people– that's become kind of an
- 42:18Speaker 1: entertainment news piece because of the Jenners and the Kardashians.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Caitlyn has been very vocal about– Right. Caitlyn's been very
- 42:29Speaker 2: vocal about trans women should not be able to compete
- 42:35Speaker 2: in women's sports.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:38Speaker 2: And it's because of that one person whose name, like,
- 42:42Speaker 2: escapes me who, I guess, won everything. Oh, yes.
- 42:45Speaker 1: The swimmer.
- 42:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 42:47Speaker 4: Uh-huh.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Look, a lot of people agree with– listen, I'm not
- 42:52Speaker 2: exactly– every time I say this, people are like, why
- 42:54Speaker 2: do you say that it's such a bad– I'm like,
- 42:55Speaker 2: I'm not exactly the most woke person. Everyone's like, why
- 42:58Speaker 2: do you say woke as if it's a bad word?
- 43:00Speaker 2: I don't, but I also don't believe in like a
- 43:03Speaker 2: lot of things. Like I don't believe in like cuddling
- 43:04Speaker 2: your children. No, like not everyone gets a fucking medal. Sorry.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I'm actually really, as a gay man, way more conservative
- 43:12Speaker 2: than people think. Mm-hmm. I believe, yeah, but I completely,
- 43:17Speaker 2: and a lot of people agree with Caitlin. I disagree.
- 43:21Speaker 2: I've disagreed on my show before. I mean, man, if
- 43:24Speaker 2: you think people in middle America or around the world
- 43:27Speaker 2: hate gay people, they hate trans people even more. Oh,
- 43:31Speaker 2: my God.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Well, they're scared of what it means, I think.
- 43:33Speaker 2: They don't understand. I mean, the comments I got were like,
- 43:38Speaker 2: Why would you this? And, you know, it's not a
- 43:42Speaker 2: real woman. And, like, just, like, this person can't have
- 43:44Speaker 2: a baby. So, I mean, the comments were disgusting. So
- 43:48Speaker 2: I disagree. I disagree. I feel like I disagree with
- 43:52Speaker 2: Caitlyn on this one. And I love a little Caitlyn Jenner.
- 43:54Speaker 2: I'll be honest.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Well, she's, by the way, people can say anything they
- 43:58Speaker 1: want about her. That woman, when she was a man,
- 44:02Speaker 1: was the most amazing athlete. And if you let her
- 44:06Speaker 1: compete now … she could still beat half the men.
- 44:10Speaker 1: So of course she'd beat the women.
- 44:12Speaker 2: That's why she says that.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Oh, well, so I haven't even heard her comments, but
- 44:15Speaker 1: it seems like common sense to me.
- 44:18Speaker 2: And we all know Caitlyn's conservative.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Yeah. And I do disagree with you because, I mean,
- 44:23Speaker 1: this is a topic that I'm not familiar with because
- 44:27Speaker 1: I'm not in that community. I don't even, you know,
- 44:30Speaker 1: I'm not even in the sports community, right? Either one.
- 44:32Speaker 1: But I think that in women's sports, somebody who was
- 44:37Speaker 1: born a biological man would have way too much advantage,
- 44:41Speaker 1: even if their hormones have changed because they're given hormone therapy.
- 44:45Speaker 1: It just seems like the advantage is different. But what
- 44:48Speaker 1: do I know? It just seems like it would be
- 44:51Speaker 1: an unfair playing field.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Well, that's why a lot of people agree with you.
- 44:55Speaker 2: And I totally understand. I get the argument. I totally
- 44:59Speaker 2: understand where you're coming from, where Caitlin's coming from. I
- 45:02Speaker 2: just am like, Listen, like you say, and by the way,
- 45:07Speaker 2: you can say what you want about Caitlyn and people
- 45:09Speaker 2: hate her because she's conservative. But if you're not, you know,
- 45:13Speaker 2: in the community or you don't, like you're not in
- 45:16Speaker 2: the entertainment business, you're not in certain, if you're really
- 45:21Speaker 2: outside and you really don't, the point is around the world,
- 45:24Speaker 2: people don't know a lot of people. Caitlyn is really
- 45:28Speaker 2: probably one of the most famous, if not the most
- 45:30Speaker 2: famous trans woman ever. Now, you know, there's many others
- 45:35Speaker 2: and we have Pose and Ryan Murphy and like there's
- 45:38Speaker 2: plenty of people if you live a certain– like if
- 45:41Speaker 2: you're just with the world. But if you're really isolated
- 45:45Speaker 2: like all these haters, Caitlyn is the face of it.
- 45:48Speaker 2: So you can hate her all you want and say
- 45:50Speaker 2: she's conservative. She still has done more just by existing
- 45:54Speaker 2: as formerly Bruce Jeter for the trans community in a
- 45:57Speaker 2: lot of– listen– The trans community don't like Caitlyn. Like,
- 46:00Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying? So, but my whole thing is, like,
- 46:02Speaker 2: if you were born as, like, if you were born, Rachel,
- 46:08Speaker 2: you could tell. Yeah. And you were six years old
- 46:12Speaker 2: and people are like, this is disgusting. There's a lot
- 46:14Speaker 2: of controversy that you should not let, you know, young
- 46:16Speaker 2: children go through. Like, whatever. But, like, if you at
- 46:20Speaker 2: six years old were, like, just disgusted by Barbies and
- 46:24Speaker 2: your pink pants and just... All you want– and this
- 46:28Speaker 2: is a lot of stereotypes. All you wanted to do
- 46:29Speaker 2: is– so the bottom line is you truly were a man.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Like that is the way your brain thought. It has
- 46:35Speaker 2: nothing to do with your sexuality. Just you were a man.
- 46:38Speaker 2: And so imagine like we talk about Ozempic and people
- 46:41Speaker 2: that want to look a certain way. Imagine if you
- 46:44Speaker 2: looked down and you were so just disgusted.
- 46:47Speaker 1: By the body you were in. And not only disgusted,
- 46:49Speaker 1: felt like you were in the wrong body.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:51Speaker 1: So at ease in your own skin. Yes. I think
- 46:55Speaker 1: a lot of people can't understand what that's like.
- 46:57Speaker 2: They can't. Yeah.
- 46:58Speaker 1: So I think people got to tread lightly on the
- 47:01Speaker 1: trans thing.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Right.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Because you don't know what they're going through. But it's
- 47:04Speaker 1: like a fact thing about whether or not they're better
- 47:07Speaker 1: at something because they were born a man and with
- 47:10Speaker 1: more muscle mass. I mean, it's kind of simple to me.
- 47:14Speaker 2: I get it.
- 47:14Speaker 1: But I know you don't agree. No.
- 47:16Speaker 2: The only rule, I'm going to get to my point
- 47:17Speaker 2: and then you can answer. Like the only point is
- 47:19Speaker 2: like if you, right, if you had to be a man,
- 47:23Speaker 2: say for you- Or someone had to be– like that
- 47:26Speaker 2: would trump– you would lose your parents over it. You
- 47:30Speaker 2: would lose your significant other. You would get into a
- 47:34Speaker 2: category that you may not be as sexually desirable to people,
- 47:37Speaker 2: which I'm not saying is the case, but to a
- 47:38Speaker 2: lot of people. Like that would trump friends. That would
- 47:43Speaker 2: trump everything. Like you would have to go through this.
- 47:46Speaker 2: You could deny it all you want. People come out
- 47:48Speaker 2: as– But like you would have to be a man.
- 47:51Speaker 2: You would lose everything in the world for that because
- 47:54Speaker 2: that's who you were. So now let's say someone does
- 47:57Speaker 2: that and is now a woman. So now you've lived
- 48:02Speaker 2: your whole life not being included. So now you're a woman, period.
- 48:06Speaker 2: And that's why when– so I think it's so ignorant
- 48:08Speaker 2: then when people say like this is not a real woman. Well,
- 48:10Speaker 2: it is. You just don't– so now where– all I'm
- 48:13Speaker 2: asking is where do you now want this woman to
- 48:15Speaker 2: compete if that's a sports person?
- 48:17Speaker 3: I get it.
- 48:17Speaker 2: That is my only thing. Tell me where you want
- 48:20Speaker 2: this person. I don't know. Because now you're saying you
- 48:22Speaker 2: can't be included. Right.
- 48:24Speaker 1: So these people just feel not included.
- 48:26Speaker 2: But we're putting them back to like age seven or whatever.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really hard.
- 48:30Speaker 2: That's my only thing.
- 48:31Speaker 1: I get it. I mean, there's a lot of compassion
- 48:33Speaker 1: that goes with it. Trans people, LGBTQ in general, I
- 48:38Speaker 1: think there's a bill being considered right now in Florida,
- 48:41Speaker 1: maybe in other states, of whether or not doctors can
- 48:45Speaker 1: not prescribe certain things and they won't even take them
- 48:49Speaker 1: in their office. So this whole feeling for, quote unquote,
- 48:54Speaker 1: these people seems almost like they're not human, that they
- 48:57Speaker 1: don't deserve the same rights that we do. And I
- 49:01Speaker 1: think that's really unfair. I think that's crazy that people
- 49:04Speaker 1: are considering to not give health care to trans people
- 49:08Speaker 1: or people that choose to be a certain sexuality. I mean,
- 49:11Speaker 1: I think that's really incredible that that's what our government
- 49:14Speaker 1: has come down to.
- 49:15Speaker 2: I mean, we're kind of taking steps back, right? Yeah. Yeah.
- 49:18Speaker 1: With the abortion thing for women too. I mean, I
- 49:21Speaker 1: think it's really incredible.
- 49:22Speaker 2: So it's like, look, and I do understand it. I
- 49:25Speaker 2: do understand the argument of the Caitlyn and everyone, but
- 49:28Speaker 2: it's more like, well, then where do these people compete? Yeah.
- 49:31Speaker 2: You know? So that's just my only thing.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Speaking of sports, I find this story interesting. The WNBA
- 49:38Speaker 1: is starting up again this season. A lot of women
- 49:43Speaker 1: in the WNBA have decided to not stand or even
- 49:47Speaker 1: be in the arena during the national anthem. Have you
- 49:51Speaker 1: heard about this?
- 49:51Speaker 2: No.
- 49:53Speaker 1: And the WNBA is known for being very supportive of
- 49:57Speaker 1: the LGBTQ community. I think a lot of women on
- 50:00Speaker 1: these teams are bisexual, lesbian, whatever they choose to identify with,
- 50:05Speaker 1: but not a lot are heterosexual. So they all, the
- 50:11Speaker 1: WNBA really supports that. But Brittany Griner, do you remember her?
- 50:15Speaker 1: She was in Russia. She was detained there for having
- 50:20Speaker 1: some drug paraphernalia in her suitcase. America brought her back
- 50:25Speaker 1: to this country to give her her freedom again. And
- 50:30Speaker 1: she is reportedly not going to stand during the national anthem.
- 50:36Speaker 1: What are your thoughts on that?
- 50:38Speaker 2: Why? So why isn't she going to? I'm confused.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Because she wants to support her teammates because they don't
- 50:45Speaker 1: believe that a lot of rights have been given to
- 50:48Speaker 1: women in athletics in general. And they're just not supporting
- 50:53Speaker 1: the national anthem or American athletes. Americans or America, so
- 50:57Speaker 1: to speak. And I think it's really interesting. I mean,
- 50:59Speaker 1: of all the people- What do you mean?
- 51:00Speaker 2: Because they're taking away rights from the LGBT community?
- 51:02Speaker 1: Yes, LGBTQ, black, women um you know they don't support
- 51:07Speaker 1: that america doesn't support its country.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Like we're going backwards yeah so we're not going to
- 51:12Speaker 2: stand during.
- 51:12Speaker 1: The national yeah so of all people that i would
- 51:14Speaker 1: love to see get up and put her hand over
- 51:16Speaker 1: her heart when the national anthem is played i think
- 51:19Speaker 1: it would be britney griner and i think people would
- 51:21Speaker 1: just get so emotional seeing her because america brought her
- 51:26Speaker 1: home and i would love to see her be the
- 51:29Speaker 1: one that kind of turns the tables to be like
- 51:31Speaker 1: you know, people can have their own individual feelings about things,
- 51:35Speaker 1: but you could still be proud to be an American.
- 51:37Speaker 1: And I wonder what you're feeling.
- 51:39Speaker 2: I mean, in that sense, yeah. I mean, if I
- 51:41Speaker 2: was in Russia and I was being detained and couldn't
- 51:43Speaker 2: come home, I would be like, that would try, just
- 51:47Speaker 2: like the desire to be who you really are within
- 51:49Speaker 2: a second, you know, like I would stand. Yeah. Yeah.
- 51:52Speaker 1: And I think it would be really nice to be there.
- 51:54Speaker 2: I would be like, this country saved me and that,
- 51:56Speaker 2: I'm sorry, like I would, my life would be so
- 51:58Speaker 2: much worse if I wasn't here. So like, I have
- 52:01Speaker 2: to honor this. Yeah. Yeah.
- 52:02Speaker 1: I just wish that.
- 52:03Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:04Speaker 2: All right.
- 52:05Speaker 1: So we saw, speaking of people in prison before, we
- 52:08Speaker 1: saw Jen Shaw prison photos. Do you care?
- 52:11Speaker 2: I mean, she's just such an awful person. She looks
- 52:15Speaker 2: pretty put together. Right? She did.
- 52:18Speaker 1: She looked like she had a nice, Her hair was
- 52:21Speaker 1: back very nicely done.
- 52:23Speaker 2: There's no grays. I mean, where's the hair? Is your
- 52:25Speaker 2: hair colored?
- 52:26Speaker 1: No, I don't know. But, you know, I saw she
- 52:28Speaker 1: was wearing glasses. So she doesn't get her contacts there.
- 52:32Speaker 2: And I don't know. I have to look close. I
- 52:34Speaker 2: thought I saw like a watch and maybe earrings.
- 52:37Speaker 1: I saw her wedding ring.
- 52:38Speaker 2: Well, I mean.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you would think that they would take all that away.
- 52:41Speaker 2: I mean, listen, I'm not saying that I want to
- 52:43Speaker 2: go to prison. But I. I just like where we
- 52:47Speaker 2: started with Raquel, like to have like a timeout from life.
- 52:51Speaker 2: So I'd say your timeout for like, I mean, please
- 52:53Speaker 2: sign me up for a timeout, girl. I'd like to go.
- 52:56Speaker 2: And I know you have to wake up and you
- 52:57Speaker 2: have to work and all that. But that didn't look so,
- 53:00Speaker 2: I was like, all this jewelry and bling. I didn't
- 53:02Speaker 2: even notice the wedding ring. Right, right. Wow.
- 53:04Speaker 1: Okay, so other hot topics. Anna Nicole Smith, they have
- 53:07Speaker 1: a movie coming out about her. You actually interviewed two
- 53:10Speaker 1: of her close friends.
- 53:11Speaker 2: I know them really well. They know Anna. They've been
- 53:15Speaker 2: on my show, Patrick and Paul. They've been on my
- 53:17Speaker 2: show many times. First of all, they were on the
- 53:21Speaker 2: Anna Nicole show. They really knew her. They were offered,
- 53:24Speaker 2: which I found interesting, which doesn't shock me, over a
- 53:27Speaker 2: million dollars basically to get the paparazzi and TMZ all
- 53:32Speaker 2: back in the day into her funeral and all that.
- 53:34Speaker 2: And they were just like, we just couldn't do it.
- 53:37Speaker 2: This is what they claim. And I was like, I mean, listen.
- 53:43Speaker 2: You know, you want to honor your friend, but somebody
- 53:47Speaker 2: did it. Somebody's going to do this. Right, right. I
- 53:49Speaker 2: don't know. That's a dilemma. I'm going to be honest.
- 53:52Speaker 2: If I'm being really honest, I would take the money.
- 53:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:55Speaker 2: I mean, I wouldn't dishonor you, but I would just,
- 53:59Speaker 2: I mean, all right, this is going to get out there. Yeah,
- 54:01Speaker 2: I want the check to clear my bank account for
- 54:03Speaker 2: a million.
- 54:03Speaker 1: I saw recently.
- 54:04Speaker 2: Come on in.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw recently that they said that they didn't
- 54:07Speaker 1: believe that Anna's wishes would be to have Larry Burkhead
- 54:11Speaker 1: raise the child.
- 54:13Speaker 2: They are very anti-Larry. Yeah. I can tell you that.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Do you think they have any connection with Danny Lynn?
- 54:21Speaker 2: I mean, I know them really well. I could say,
- 54:24Speaker 2: you know, no. Wow. I mean, like connection, you mean like.
- 54:29Speaker 1: Are they talking to her?
- 54:30Speaker 2: Oh, I thought you meant like, are they the father?
- 54:32Speaker 1: No, no. I mean, are they speaking to her? Have
- 54:34Speaker 1: they grown up in her life because they were so
- 54:36Speaker 1: close to her mother?
- 54:37Speaker 2: I think, I mean, listen, I only know what they
- 54:40Speaker 2: tell me. Yeah. But I think, you know, according to them, Larry,
- 54:44Speaker 2: he moved to Kentucky, couldn't make it in Hollywood.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Okay, let's get started.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Are you first-time buyers? Yeah, it's our first time.
- 54:53Speaker 3: So, it's your first time here?
- 54:56Speaker 2: No, it's first-time buying. Did you say no for first-time buying?
- 55:02Speaker 5: No, wait, hold on. Okay, please hold.
- 55:05Speaker 2: What?
- 55:07Speaker 5: No, no, I told you to hold on.
- 55:09Speaker 3: You're viewing homes, not mortgage advisors. So find your nearest
- 55:13Speaker 3: branch at ebs.ie to get a dedicated mortgage person throughout
- 55:17Speaker 3: your mortgage journey. EBS, the mortgage people. Lending criteria, terms
- 55:22Speaker 3: and conditions will apply. EBS DAC is regulated by the
- 55:25Speaker 3: Central Bank of Ireland.
- 55:26Speaker 2: You wouldn't just, like, talk about someone you want to
- 55:29Speaker 2: get on the Rachel, you could tell them, Misunderstood podcast.
- 55:32Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. No, I would love to get Larry Burkhead.
- 55:35Speaker 1: Or Danny Lynn, yeah. Because I think they're so interesting
- 55:39Speaker 1: and you never hear how it was to grow up
- 55:42Speaker 1: without a mother who is so famous and iconic. And,
- 55:46Speaker 1: you know, I would love to hear about the struggles
- 55:49Speaker 1: he went through to prove that he was the one
- 55:51Speaker 1: that deserved to raise her. I mean, there was that guy, Howard,
- 55:54Speaker 1: the lawyer that said he was the father. He was
- 55:56Speaker 1: written on the birth certificate. And from what these friends
- 56:00Speaker 1: that you interviewed have said, they've said that Anna Nicole
- 56:05Speaker 1: was And disliked Larry and made fun of him a lot.
- 56:08Speaker 1: So it's interesting to see how that turned out.
- 56:11Speaker 2: And, like, I'd love to ask Danny Lynn, like, you know,
- 56:14Speaker 2: I mean, the world, a lot of the world says
- 56:18Speaker 2: your father's a bad guy. Are you aware of that?
- 56:21Speaker 2: How does that make you feel?
- 56:22Speaker 1: But is he a bad guy?
- 56:23Speaker 2: We just don't know. I don't know.
- 56:24Speaker 1: We literally don't know. We haven't heard from him in
- 56:26Speaker 1: the last 16 years or however long it's been, right?
- 56:28Speaker 1: How old is she now? Or how long has it
- 56:29Speaker 1: been since Danny died?
- 56:30Speaker 2: I think she's in her teens.
- 56:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:32Speaker 2: I mean, I saw that. There was a picture that
- 56:33Speaker 2: went around. I was like, oh, wow.
- 56:36Speaker 1: And remember, her eyes went in separate ways. She had
- 56:39Speaker 1: her eyes fixed. I mean, I really would love to hear.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Really?
- 56:42Speaker 1: Yeah. When she was a baby, her eyes went in
- 56:44Speaker 1: opposite directions.
- 56:45Speaker 2: She had that. Okay. Yeah.
- 56:47Speaker 1: So she's a beautiful girl.
- 56:48Speaker 2: And she was the son who died her 100% or
- 56:51Speaker 2: were they different fathers? Yeah. I don't even know.
- 56:56Speaker 1: Oh, again, I don't know that either.
- 56:59Speaker 2: Who was the.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Father of Daniel?
- 57:01Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 57:02Speaker 1: That would be interesting. So there's so many questions to ask.
- 57:04Speaker 1: I'd love to talk to them. I also heard that
- 57:09Speaker 1: Lorena Bobbitt has a movie coming out. Remember her? I mean,
- 57:12Speaker 1: I love those Where Are They Now stories. I would
- 57:14Speaker 1: love to have her on.
- 57:15Speaker 2: You know who I want to have on? Who? Really bad.
- 57:18Speaker 2: I think my team has tried. But I think she
- 57:23Speaker 2: needs money of some sort. I want Amy Fisher. Oh, yeah.
- 57:28Speaker 2: I mean, we're from New York. Yeah. I mean, I
- 57:30Speaker 2: would take Mary Jo Bodefuco too, but I want Amy Fisher. Yeah, yeah.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Well, I would love to hear whatever happened to her.
- 57:37Speaker 1: How did she get over that stigma? Did she go
- 57:39Speaker 1: to jail? I don't even remember. If people don't remember,
- 57:43Speaker 1: Amy Fisher was the woman who was having an affair
- 57:45Speaker 1: with a married man. What was his name again?
- 57:48Speaker 2: Joey Buttafuoco.
- 57:49Speaker 1: Joey Buttafuoco. How could I forget?
- 57:50Speaker 2: Welcome to Long Island, people.
- 57:52Speaker 1: And she went and shot the woman that he was
- 57:55Speaker 1: married to in the face.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:57Speaker 1: And she survived. And that was Mary Jo.
- 58:03Speaker 2: Mary Jo Buttafuoco. Yeah. She used to be on Howard
- 58:05Speaker 2: Stern all the time.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I wonder, did they stay married?
- 58:09Speaker 2: I think so. Oh, my gosh. We have to find out.
- 58:11Speaker 2: And why did she shoot the woman? She just said,
- 58:12Speaker 2: this is my man.
- 58:13Speaker 1: She said, this is my man. She probably was jealous.
- 58:17Speaker 1: But by the way, how do you get over that stigma?
- 58:19Speaker 1: Did she ever get married? Was a man ever able
- 58:23Speaker 1: to let that go and marry her? I find that
- 58:27Speaker 1: to be interesting.
- 58:27Speaker 2: I would love to talk to her.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Did she learn a lesson?
- 58:30Speaker 2: Did she still talk to him? You know who you
- 58:31Speaker 2: should also go after, which it's not going to happen?
- 58:33Speaker 2: It's a hard one. Monica Lewinsky. I still want her.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Well, you know, the thing with Monica, I know Monica.
- 58:39Speaker 1: I've spoken to her a few times. You know, her story,
- 58:42Speaker 1: she's told her story so many times. So I don't
- 58:44Speaker 1: think she's necessarily misunderstood anymore. I think people get the story.
- 58:48Speaker 1: So she's an obvious.
- 58:50Speaker 2: The Ryan Murphy American crime story was brilliant.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it was brilliant. It was very good. And I
- 58:55Speaker 1: love that she co-produced it and was able to give
- 58:58Speaker 1: her side. And it didn't make her look very good
- 59:01Speaker 1: in my opinion. I mean, it made her look like
- 59:03Speaker 1: she kind of went after the president and really– made
- 59:07Speaker 1: it difficult for him to get rid of her. for
- 59:10Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 59:10Speaker 2: I would still love just like 20 minutes with her. Yeah.
- 59:13Speaker 1: Oh, of course. Well, who wouldn't? Okay. So we're back
- 59:17Speaker 1: in New York. When is Real Housewives of New York
- 59:20Speaker 1: coming out? 7-16.
- 59:23Speaker 2: 7-16. I need to think for a minute. Oh, gosh.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Like tomorrow.
- 59:27Speaker 1: How do you know this already?
- 59:28Speaker 2: Oh, no. They did. They have a trailer with no pictures,
- 59:31Speaker 2: but it's just an apple sitting there. And you see
- 59:33Speaker 2: a hand reach in with manicured nails and take the apple.
- 59:36Speaker 2: And you hear a huge crunch, huge bite off air.
- 59:41Speaker 2: And it says 7-16. Andy Cohen says it's different.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Yeah, he doesn't sound that excited about it. But maybe
- 59:48Speaker 1: that's just because he doesn't want to get anybody's hopes
- 59:50Speaker 1: up and wants them to literally come in with a
- 59:52Speaker 1: clean slate. What do you think?
- 59:53Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, listen, Andy Cohn, from having
- 59:58Speaker 2: a Bravo podcast, Behind the Velvet Rope, which is every
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: day of the week, Rachel, you, listen, you could be honest,
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: it's his favorite franchise. He lives here. He's connected. Like,
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: he knew Jill Zarin before this. He knew Luann. So, like, also,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: what I said recently on my show is Andy Cohn,
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: These are his peers. Andy is 52. Luann is 57.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: I mean, it must be hard. Listen, he cares about
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Andy Cohen and Ben and Lucy more than anyone else. So,
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: you know, for his, you know, net worth of $ 75 million,
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: he'll do everything he has to do the job. So
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: he has no problem firing all his friends. But it
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: must be, I'm sure he's not into watching a bunch
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: of 32-year-old, 37-year-old influencers running around New York I'm sure,
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: I mean, listen, Andy Cohn doesn't go to anything housewives.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: He says that. Last summer, before he ran into me
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: at schools out for the Hetero March Foundation in East Hampton,
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: he stopped by Luann's Fose launch at Topping Rose. I mean,
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: he doesn't, right, he's friends with Luann. So, I mean,
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: I'm sure he would rather be hanging out with like
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Luann and Ramona and Jill and Sonia than these people. So,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: I don't think it's, I'm sure it's harder for him too. Yeah.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: But still different isn't really, doesn't sound, listen, I'm not.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Do you think they should try a new city also?
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Listen, I've said this, like I feel so mixed about
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: the new New York. I mean, looking at the cast
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: and knowing, like having heard of them, I'm not like
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: overly excited. I'm not. But listen, I've said this, they
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: need to make it, because this is what I think
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: they should have done. I think if they did like,
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: a real-life gossip girl and took even younger, like 20-somethings.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: They tried that. I know.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: They tried that.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: They tried it a bunch of times. They tried it
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: with Gallery Girls. They tried it with New York City Prep. But, like,
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: look at, like, The Hills and, like, they did The City. Like,
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: a bunch of, like, bitchy, wealthy, like, you have to, like,
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: lean in. It could be diverse. Absolutely. This is New York. But, like,
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: you know, looks the part. I mean, has so much money.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: The most obnoxious, over-the-top women that don't know anything and
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: have daddies like a real-life gossip girl. That would be annoying,
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: but we would hate those people and we would love
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: to hate them. This is like in between for me.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: It might be interesting.
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I think a great idea for a show is everyone's
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: moving to Palm Beach or to Florida. I'm moving to
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Palm Beach. I think they should do a new kind
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: of series about women who are on their second act
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: of life. They don't have to be married.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Maybe they are.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: But like it's a real struggle and hustle figuring out
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: how to get your kid into school, having to pay
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: the bills, having to date again, having to find new
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: friends when you move. But all these New Yorkers are
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: moving down to Palm Beach. I think that's kind of
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: a great episode to figure– to see how they do
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: in a new environment when they come from having the
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: personality of a New Yorker and you're doing it alone.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I– I'm nominating myself.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: I was just going to say, you really just want
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: to launch an entire show around you and cast people
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: that you become friends with.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Well, no, I think it's interesting. Like, I'm a little nervous.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: I'm not going to know very many people.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Have you met anyone there yet?
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Well, yes, I know some people there. Yes, my daughter's
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: going to start school there in August. And I went
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: to a school meeting already and met a couple kids
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: in her class and their parents. So I'm navigating what
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: that's like to meet all the new parents. But I
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: think that's kind of interesting to follow someone on a
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: new path of life, as opposed to meeting new people
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: in New York who have already been here, who I
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: don't even know are real New Yorkers. Do you know
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: what I mean? Like, I don't know what makes them,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: you know, so good to be on the housewives of
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: New York. And most of them aren't even housewives, I
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: don't think.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: No, this time around, we have a lot of single people, more. Yeah,
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: I'm not sure.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: But isn't it interesting that, sorry to interrupt you, but
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: the housewives of New York are categorically the only show
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: that doesn't have husbands for the most part and they
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: can't seem to find a steady boyfriend when they do
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: get married well that's what I was saying when they
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: do get married the divorce happens very quickly like with
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Luann so it's Almost very interesting. It says a lot
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: about New Yorkers and how hard it is to meet
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: the right man here, how hard it is to be
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: a single woman here. So I think that kind of
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: show is even more interesting. Dating is always a real
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: interesting thing. I loved Love is Blind. I want to
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: do that.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Have you watched it?
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: It's hosted by Nick and Vanessa? Yes. No, I have not.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: They just had their own controversies.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Yes. People didn't like them after the reunion.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: They said she was too biased. He was too biased,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: but especially her. They're not losing their jobs, people.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: No, but that show isn't about the host as much
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: because that show was so interesting to me because people
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: are meeting behind a wall. It's very similar to online dating,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: although you get to see a picture. You have to
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: like the person's personality first and really connect with them.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: And do people last that have gotten married from that show?
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Absolutely. People have had babies. More than The Bachelor, more.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Than The Bachelorette.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: Actually, people haven't had babies from that show. That's Marriage
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: at First Sight. That one I'm also obsessed with. I
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: want to try any of these shows because what I'm
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: doing is not working.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: No. Love is Blind is interesting.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: Listen, I know you should have been on the New
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: York Housewives. I get it. Let's put out there maybe
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: there'll be a show about you in West Palm, Palm Beach.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be about me. It's just I
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: find that interesting.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: It's an interesting... Listen, I think what they need to
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: do with this new... It's already filmed. I hope New
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: York is like in Housewife. Like if you can capture
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: and show New York, the city, that is interesting to
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: people that have never been here. I mean, we have
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: a million shows in New York, but it still works.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: The hustle and bustle of New York, charity events. I mean, listen,
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: I say all the time, Yeah. Yeah. I just hope
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: that they capture that side of like, you know, it
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: doesn't matter. Like whatever the rules of the charity gala
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: benefit are, you're so rich and you're on the board.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: They're going to let you in. Like they're going to
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: break the rules for you. You know, I want that. Uber,
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: like wealth here could be as interesting as Beverly Hills.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: I don't know if we're going to get that.
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: No, I agree with you.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Last couple things. Erica Jane is now in Vegas.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: She's heading to Vegas to bet on blonde. And guess what?
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: David from Behind the Velvet Rope is heading to Vegas.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: September and December, honey. Okay. You can come with me
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: one of the times.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: How did she get a residency there? Tell me that.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Well, I feel, you know, there is some chatter that
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: she has this new, much older boyfriend and he's a
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: big gambler. And I'm like, I don't know if that's how.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: I think, look, I've seen her. I saw the Pretty
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Mess Tour multiple times. There is, I mean, there is something...
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: about her performing. It's very enjoyable.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: So she's good.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: I think she's good.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: And she puts on a good show.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: I think she puts, I mean, listen, picture Erika Jayne
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: on a, you want to go back to a Zempik
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: or not? I say, oh, Zempik. I mean, she's looking good.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: But like, yeah, picture Erika Jayne on a stage, costume changes, smoke. Yes,
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: there's mostly gay men in the audience. There's plenty of
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: women too. I don't know if there's any straight men there,
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: but like, Lots of gay men. Yeah, there. Kajane, it's
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: a real brand. It's a real thing.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: And how many songs does she have that she can
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: make a show out of?
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: Well, there's a lot. We have How Many Fucks. We
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: have Painkiller.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness. You really know her.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: We have Pretty Mess. Oh, Hunty.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: So she's going to put on a good show, you think?
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: Listen, if you think about it, it's Vegas. Like, this
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: is going to work in Vegas. Yeah. Look, is she
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: playing the equivalent of, you know, Madison Square Garden there? No,
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: she's playing like House of Blues, which is where like
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: lots of people perform.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: It's a real thing.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: What do you think about the victims in the case
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: with her ex-husband? I guess he is now. Do you
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: think they're going to have a problem with it?
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: I think a lot of people have a problem. I've
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: already done shows on I'm betting on blonde and heading
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: there and people are like, you are disgusting. Like you
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: hate me for a lot of other reasons. Just hate
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: me for this one too. Right.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Well, why do they hate her for that, do you think?
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: Well, I think people feel that she should be giving
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: money to the victims, that this windfall came to her
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: through this man that stole from these victims, and she's
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: living a life here. She's living a life.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Well, what people also are not taking into consideration is
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: here she is hustling to get a residency there. She's
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: going to be making money there. She's working so she
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: can get money. I mean, she needs money right now.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: She doesn't have a man supporting her.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: No, she doesn't have a man supporting her. Yeah, I mean, listen,
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: and then like legally her argument is always like, not
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: that she has really addressed this a lot, but legally-
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: I mean, I just spoke to her directly at Homeless
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Not Toothless, the event in Dorit's charity in LA. That's
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: really the worst name. It's kind of funny, though, at
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: this point. And by the way, you know, I mean, look,
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: Erica is very– this is what I love about her, though.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: She's very business. She's never– like, she's just not– I
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: love her. She's like, thank you for supporting. Great. Like, yeah.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: We had a few moments where she was like, you know,
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: I'm not out of the woods yet, but things are
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: starting to turn– Like, I appreciate that. Give me a
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: little nugget I can take back to Behind the Velvet
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: Rope and the Rachel Yucatel podcast. Misunderstood. But she's like,
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: here's what she said. You talk about people that should
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: be on your show. Like, she said, like, look, when
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: the world is crashing in, this is something you can
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: relate to. When the world is crashing in against you,
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: you have to protect yourself.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: A hundred percent. Period.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: And so I'm like, I get it. Mm-hmm. it takes
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: a strong person to have to block out all of
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: that and victims. And like, you still have to get
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: up and put food in your mouth and figure it
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: out for yourself. Oh, everything. And legally, you know, there's
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: always the argument of like, I can't be paying victims.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: Not that she even is entertained. It's not really her place.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: I don't have to entertain this. Everyone says victims and
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: this and that, but like, so I think truth, I
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: always say on my podcast, two things get to be true.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: You could feel horrible for these people. And you could say,
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: I'm going on into Vegas to make money. But two
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: things get to be true. But she, that is what
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: she said to me directly face to face. She's like,
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: you know, when the world is crashing in, you have to,
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: not everyone could survive that. Yeah. Yeah. I feel I could.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Like I can go through what you went through and
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: I would be just fine. Yeah. And I don't know
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: about when I was 23, but now I could. Yeah.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: I would be like, Erica, you just have to preserve
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: yourself and then figure out the rest later on.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: No, I agree. And I actually respect that she's, hustling
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: and doing something to get herself back up on that stage,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: so to speak, and, you know, do something to create
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: her brand as opposed to being known for what people
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: know her for now, you know?
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: And she's, you know, trying to get away from just
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: being known as a housewife, just being known as a
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: rich man's wife that got in a lot of trouble.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: So I think it'll be an interesting path for her.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: And like at BravoCon, I wasn't there, but I knew
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: I had someone on my podcast, like a friend of
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: mine was like, you know, they were waiting at the
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: barriers for like who came and went from the hotel.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: Because I said like, who was rude to you? And
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: it was like, it's like a blogger who's way less
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: advanced than I am in the world. But that's not even,
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: I'm not being obnoxious. I'm just saying like, I was like,
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: so tell me who do. And you know, he said
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: like Eric, and apparently, so Eric, you know, they were stopping,
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: you know, the barriers, you take the selfies. But he's like,
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: Erica wouldn't even look. I'm like, I don't blame her.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: I mean, that's the thing. All these people that hate
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: Erica so much, they still want a fucking picture. They're
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: still going to be nice to her when they see
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: her at an airport face to face. He's like, she
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: wouldn't even engage. I don't blame her. She's looking at
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: all of you people saying like, you're the same people
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: that want a picture with me or the same ones
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: that crucify me. Keyboard warriors have a problem. Now you
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: want a picture with me? I wouldn't give you a
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: fucking picture either. You know what I mean? So it's like,
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: that's the weird thing about our society. People can criticize you,
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: but they want that picture. Right.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Last question. You brought up to me the other day
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: that Paris Hilton is going on tour. I didn't even
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: know she was considered a singer.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: Okay. Well, many years ago, I'll play it for you after.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: We had a classic CD by Paris on Stars. You
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: know Stars are blind. You know these songs. She covered
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: Rod Stewart's Don't You Think I'm Sexy.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: It came out. Yes. And I still listen to it often. Then, yes,
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: she has a DJ career.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: Was it played on the radio?
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: Yes. Wow. Stars Are Blind is like, if I played
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: Stars Are Blind right now for you, you would be like, oh,
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: my God. Right. I know it. Yeah.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: I'm sure I know it.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: I just don't remember it. She was on Channel 4
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: New Year's with Miley was hosting. Paris came out and
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: they all did. It's a big song.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: She's not really known for her voice.
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: It's a great voice, though. Is it? I think so.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: Okay. I mean, then again, there's people that will just...
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: She's not going on tour.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Don't you have to have a number of songs to
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: go on a tour?
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: There's not a tour. What's happening is in LA on
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: June 7th for her first live performance as a singer
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: in pretty much, I guess, 10, 15 years. There's a
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: one night only, but it's because she has new music.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: It's a showcase, Rachel. In the biz, we say showcase. Okay, well,
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: let me explain a few things. I'm not not going
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: to go, but I'm not going to go. I like
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: to If there was a seat, I would go. It's
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: general admission. So right now, right there, we start at a...
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Mind you, Tom Sandoval was also general admission, but that's
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: not going to... This is a big thing. Like this
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: sold out within minutes. Of course, you can still get
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: a ticket somewhere.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: And you know, there's... The Paris Hilton thing sold out.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: Within like... It's a big like... Come on. Paris Hilton.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: The books... I went to the book signing. She just
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: had her book signing in like a month and a half,
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: two months ago.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Were there a lot of people there?
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Sold out within seconds. Honey, Paris is like... She's still
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: got it. She's not Kim, but she's really an icon.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: I don't care if you love her or hate her.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: By the way, she's one of the most gorgeous women
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I've ever seen.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: Gorgeous. Yeah. Gorgeous.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: I don't think people give her a lot of credit
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: for that. She's beautiful. Gorgeous. Yeah.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: Wonderful. So, no, this shit sold out right away. I mean,
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: I have my place in LA. Like, I was like, oh. But,
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: you know, and I'm like, general admission. There's no, like,
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: you know, they arranged for me to go with Tom
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Sandoval and say hi. That's not going to happen with
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Paris Hilton. Yeah. I'm not, I can go to a regular,
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: if there was a seat, I would just go and
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm too old for general admission, honey. Yeah,
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: I get it. It's like, so it like, really, it's not,
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: but like, I'm like, what's the point of like standing
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: all the way in back? Like, I want to be
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: up front. I'd rather just pay a certain amount and
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: get a front row seat and show up three minutes
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: before it starts. Yeah. So there's a lot of factors
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: here that are, that, but I, I wanted to go
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: until I looked into the actual details, but if there's
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: new music and I'm hoping there's going to be a
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: tour after this, I think, That's the point of this
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: is to like showcase this song was big. This song
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: was not. We have to work out the kinks. I'm
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: marking my words. There's going to be a tour with
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: a meet and greet and all that.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: And that I will go to. This is major. Okay.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: What is the one show you're looking forward to that's
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: coming out soon?
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: I am going to like four Madonnas.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: What?
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: I have tickets to like LA and New York. Oh,
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: you didn't know this?
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: No.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Oh, I'm going with Patti Stanger to one of them.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: When they went on sale, Patti's like this and that
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: and just get that thing.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Does she play her old stuff?
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: Now she is. Okay, good. Do you realize that this
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: is the year? 1983 is when the, so this is
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: truly the 40th, the 40th anniversary, like this year.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: That music is still iconic. Everywhere I go, even if
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: I go into like a bodega, they're playing Madonna.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: The old stuff. This time it's all oldies.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: So we're predicting Madonna's comeback. I think people have given
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: her a hard time recently because of her face, because
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: of the people she dates.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: I don't know. They're giving her a hard time now
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: with saying like they saw like a performance, like footage
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: is leaked. There's very mixed– I mean, comeback I think
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: is a– I don't know if there is really a comeback.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Like with the kids. The kids are like, who is this? Really? Right.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: It's a little crazy. Yeah. But the diehard– It.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Really shows our age because she was the thing back then.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: I can't. I can't.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: It was her– Whitney Houston and Wham.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: And Prince. Oh, yeah.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Prince.
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: Sure. I was just at the Tom Sandoval.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: And Michael Jackson.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: And Michael Jackson. At the Tom Sandoval concert, Live Nation
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: was outside and they were like, who's been your best
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: concert ever? Prince. I've seen Prince many times. I mean,
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: that's really a big thing. I know. I mean, so
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: I don't know about a comeback, but she still sells
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: out and the people that appreciate are going to go
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: insane for this show. Yeah. Okay. Insane.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Well, you'll have to come back on and tell me
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: what that's like. I'm going to the Taylor Swift concert
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: with my daughter to celebrate her 11th birthday and Mother's Day.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: So this will be very interesting. I hate concerts.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: I love, I mean, first of all, you're way more
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: of the youth than I am because Taylor Swift is
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: way more, even that's not exactly current current, but that's
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: way more Of the current world than Madonna. At least
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: the kids know who she is.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Oh, of course. And what's interesting.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: You hate concerts?
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: I don't like going to concerts. It's too loud. You know,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: your seat isn't necessarily great no.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: Matter where you sit. But if you know the music.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: If you know the music. Like, I would go to
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: a Britney Spears concert immediately.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: Do you know what I'm also going to? This is
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: really going to show my age. And not in New York.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: I don't even know where. I think Ohio and somewhere
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: else because that's where the front row seats work. Duran Duran.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Oh, I've been to their concert. They're fantastic.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: Phenomenal.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: They are so good. And I know every song.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: I go to– let me put it this way. I
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: used to go to a million concerts. Now I'm very
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: selective because I just like– I'm like, yeah, I've been
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: to everything and like I'm over it. But Duran, I
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: literally went– when the tickets were on sale, I was like,
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: I don't care where it is. I just need to
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: secure the front or second row. Yeah. And then when
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: I did, when all the dust settled– Because once it
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: goes on the third-party market, you're like, fuck. I mean,
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: it's expensive to begin with. I think I'm going to, like,
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: Ohio and, like, Detroit. Oh, wow. I was like, I
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: don't care.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: So you're traveling for it.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: Duran is, like, major. Yeah.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: Major. I would do that for Hollywood.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: & Oates. I've seen them. Phenomenal.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: They're so good.
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: The thing is, you know every song.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: Well, next time Hall & Oates comes, we'll go.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Do you think they're ever going to go on tour again?
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: They just played, I think, like a year ago.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Oh, well, I'm going to go and look because I
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: want to go see them.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Them will go to Phenomenal. You've seen them, right?
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: No, I've never seen them.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: When I worked at Tao.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: Who's the tall blonde?
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: Daryl.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: Daryl Hall. I always get them confused. Came in and
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: no one knew who he was.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: Did you want to marry him? Yeah. Isn't he gay? No,
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: he's straight. Is he? I think he's married. Gosh.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Well, anyways, the bottom line is he came into the club.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: No one in the front knew who he was. I
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: had to jump over the stanchions and security guards and
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: be like, no, no, no, because they turned him away.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: And I was like, he can come in. Of course
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: he can come in. What do you mean? So that
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: would be a concert I'd love to go.
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: Isn't this sad? The 80s legends are turned away. Yeah.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: It's so sad. They must all be alcoholics and in
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: some sort of therapy now for that.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: Because I have a bunch of 80s legends coming up.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: And I can tell you, my listeners who hang on
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: every word I say when I have a Bravo person on,
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: these are not going to be my most heavily downloaded episodes.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: But I'm like, this is a self-indulgent episode. I've already
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: recorded them. Right, right. Lots of people.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Well, thank you so much for coming on and discussing
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: all of your gossip.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: Before we leave, the next time I come on, and
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: do not talk about this topic until I'm back. Okay.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: I want to know who you want, who you want
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: out there, who we're going to fix you up with.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: Because we're going to do a whole Rachel, like, famous
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: people dating episode.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I think that would be really fun.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: And we'll do some hot topics, too. Okay.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: And everyone could follow me and listen to Behind the Velvet. Okay.
