Speaker 1: Welcome everyone, It's I Do Part two. I made you
0:17
Speaker 1: roback alongside TJ. Holmes.
0:18
Speaker 2: Just a couple of your hosts here and we are
0:21
Speaker 2: back with some more Teresa Judais and Louis Ruelas from
0:25
Speaker 2: Real Housewives Up New Jersey and Teresa is fresh off
0:29
Speaker 2: of the latest season of Special Forces where Teresa, you
0:33
Speaker 2: made it to episode two.
0:36
Speaker 3: Congrats, thank you, thank you.
0:39
Speaker 4: Wow, that was really not very enthusiastic appause, everybody, thank you.
0:43
Speaker 4: It's hard to do credit.
0:45
Speaker 3: I know, listen if you were there and then you
0:47
Speaker 3: would see how hard it was. Like, I'm not cured.
0:50
Speaker 3: You don't even see half of not even a quarter
0:54
Speaker 3: of what we've done. Yeah, it was intense.
0:56
Speaker 4: Can we go back to the decision. What convinced you
0:59
Speaker 4: to do it? And what was your role Louis in
1:03
Speaker 4: that decision?
1:04
Speaker 3: Well convinced me Well, at first they just asked me
1:07
Speaker 3: to do it, and then I was just like, oh
1:08
Speaker 3: my god. And I watched a few episodes and I'm like,
1:11
Speaker 3: there's a lot of water, I don't know how to swim,
1:14
Speaker 3: I'm gonna drown. I'm like this is not good. So
1:17
Speaker 3: I was having like, oh, then I got to be
1:19
Speaker 3: able to do this, and then they came back at
1:22
Speaker 3: it at me and they're like, we would like you
1:25
Speaker 3: and Ga to do it mother daughter duo. And then
1:28
Speaker 3: Jia heard and she's like, mow, we have to do this.
1:31
Speaker 3: It's gonna be like you know, it's like, you know,
1:33
Speaker 3: so fun for us to do it together. And I
1:35
Speaker 3: was just like, oh, yeah, I know. So no, I
1:38
Speaker 3: was like, you know what, I have to do this
1:39
Speaker 3: with my daughter. It's something that she'll never forget. I'll
1:42
Speaker 3: never forget, and it's like, you know, it's amazing for
1:46
Speaker 3: us to do this experience, you know, experiences together. Her
1:49
Speaker 3: sisters were jealous that we were doing it together. So
1:52
Speaker 3: and that's why I.
1:53
Speaker 4: Said, yeah, okay, all I'm hearing is now I don't
1:56
Speaker 4: have not just one loved one going out there and
1:59
Speaker 4: risking health. I got two loved ones going. Louis. That's
2:02
Speaker 4: that's what I'm all I'm hearing When she said that.
2:04
Speaker 5: Yeah, that's uh what it did feel like that, But
2:07
Speaker 5: you know what they they're they have a really amazing
2:09
Speaker 5: bond Ge and Teresa for a long time obviously, and
2:13
Speaker 5: it was you're you're you're like, if anybody could do it,
2:18
Speaker 5: it's you because you've had challenges in your life, like,
2:21
Speaker 5: she's Teresa's strong.
2:23
Speaker 1: She's Teresa has been to prison and came back like
2:28
Speaker 1: a bigger badass than she already was.
2:30
Speaker 5: Yeah, my son and I talked about all the time,
2:32
Speaker 5: even on the way here in the car because.
2:34
Speaker 1: He's like, Dad, did you see the way Teresa kissed.
2:35
Speaker 6: Me this morning?
2:36
Speaker 5: Do you remember that?
2:36
Speaker 2: Or no?
2:37
Speaker 5: Because you're hugging him and you can you like that?
2:39
Speaker 5: Grandmother has a big kisses like ring your ears ringing right,
2:42
Speaker 5: so like and but then you're you're then she's like,
2:45
Speaker 5: you know, like can you're the couch and you get
2:46
Speaker 5: home and then you come home and the couch has
2:47
Speaker 5: aready moved. It's like, how did you do that by yourself?
2:49
Speaker 5: It's like Teresa's very strong, you know, physically, emotionally and
2:54
Speaker 5: and all her girls are like that, you know. So
2:56
Speaker 5: so I wasn't. I wasn't. I was afraid for you,
3:00
Speaker 5: but at the same time I knew you were going
3:02
Speaker 5: to be amazing. And why you ended up you know,
3:06
Speaker 5: what are you called d qing yourself or or.
3:09
Speaker 3: Was it volunteering withdraw?
3:13
Speaker 6: Why you did that was like the was like was
3:17
Speaker 6: was even more powerful? I don't know if everybody really
3:20
Speaker 6: knows why you did that and what sparked that and
3:23
Speaker 6: what created that.
3:23
Speaker 5: But that was like, that was something that was you
3:26
Speaker 5: know that you you you taught a lot of people,
3:29
Speaker 5: told the whole family, you know, something really.
3:31
Speaker 1: Important that was going to be our next question because no, no,
3:36
Speaker 1: but you just led perfectly into it because you know
3:39
Speaker 1: you are so strong in all of the ways that
3:41
Speaker 1: Louie just mentioned. And so what was it about that moment?
3:45
Speaker 2: Was it did it accumulate and that was your breaking
3:48
Speaker 2: point or was that just a moment or watershed moment?
3:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, like I said, me and g we
3:55
Speaker 3: spoke about a lot of things, you know, you know
3:57
Speaker 3: when we first got to we were in America in
4:00
Speaker 3: the beginning, and then we went to North Africa and
4:03
Speaker 3: then you know, we just talked about a lot of things.
4:05
Speaker 3: And as a mom, I'm always a mom first, so
4:07
Speaker 3: I was thinking in my head, like you know, I
4:09
Speaker 3: was like, we're going to fight now, and it's like,
4:13
Speaker 3: of course I would never I can never see my
4:15
Speaker 3: daughter get hit. Like did you see the first episode
4:17
Speaker 3: when Billy grabbed Billy was grabbing GA's head and dumping
4:22
Speaker 3: it in the water. I wasn't there. When I watched
4:25
Speaker 3: that on TV, I was so angry. I was like,
4:28
Speaker 3: oh my god, Billy's lucky I wasn't there because I
4:31
Speaker 3: would have said something like get off my kid's head
4:34
Speaker 3: like that, like dumping it in the water, like I
4:36
Speaker 3: thought that was so harsh, and like they didn't do
4:39
Speaker 3: that to us like they did me. Then, you know,
4:42
Speaker 3: did you see when I rolled over in the mud
4:45
Speaker 3: my hair went down like this so they couldn't see
4:47
Speaker 3: that my face didn't go in the mud? Ha, yes, right,
4:50
Speaker 3: And then I took the mud and I put it
4:51
Speaker 3: on my face, and I'm like, if they see I
4:54
Speaker 3: don't have mud on my face, they're gonna freak. They
4:57
Speaker 3: do that because they were doing it to other people,
4:59
Speaker 3: but then do it to me, thank God. But my
5:01
Speaker 3: thing is that I didn't first I would never be
5:04
Speaker 3: able to see my daughter get hit. And I didn't
5:07
Speaker 3: want her to see me fighting, like fist fighting, because
5:10
Speaker 3: I think it would probably make her upset too. And
5:14
Speaker 3: I don't know, there's a lot of things going through
5:15
Speaker 3: my mind, just like that I've been fighting, you know,
5:19
Speaker 3: defending myself on TV for the past ten years. That
5:23
Speaker 3: it was like post traumatic stress that was came in effect.
5:27
Speaker 3: There was just a lot of things that came into play.
5:30
Speaker 4: What are you surprised this was something that got the
5:32
Speaker 4: type of criticism that it did well. People are thinking
5:39
Speaker 4: how you left the show in some way as.
5:41
Speaker 3: I mean, listen, you're going to have like a lot
5:43
Speaker 3: of nothing. You no, Like the whole cast were telling
5:50
Speaker 3: They all were saying, like they knew why I left.
5:52
Speaker 3: They thought, you know, they the first thing I said, like,
5:56
Speaker 3: as a mom would never be able to see her
5:58
Speaker 3: child get hit. So the whole cast was saying that,
6:01
Speaker 3: and then even the because they make you speak to
6:04
Speaker 3: a psychologist every time, Yeah, we'll always speak to psychologists
6:09
Speaker 3: because that's how intense it is. And even the psychologist
6:12
Speaker 3: totally got me. You know, keep watching the show. There's
6:16
Speaker 3: it's pretty amazing. I can't say. I'll say that at
6:19
Speaker 3: the end.
6:20
Speaker 1: But Gia obviously continued and you left. Did you all
6:23
Speaker 1: have a chance to say goodbye? You care because it
6:25
Speaker 1: shows out you don't see you didn't even get to
6:27
Speaker 1: say goodbye.
6:28
Speaker 3: I did not get to say goodbye to her. I
6:30
Speaker 3: cried that whole night in the hotel. I cried going
6:35
Speaker 3: home in the airport, you know, because it was a
6:38
Speaker 3: decision I had to make, and I know in my
6:40
Speaker 3: heart to heart sets so I you know, at the end,
6:42
Speaker 3: I'll give you know, the whole show is over. I'll
6:45
Speaker 3: give another interview, and there's like more to come. But
6:52
Speaker 3: I know, I mean, I cried even when I came home,
6:55
Speaker 3: like cry till Gia got home and he was like,
6:59
Speaker 3: you came home different, he said to me, because I
7:01
Speaker 3: was really upset. But there was it was a decision
7:04
Speaker 3: I had to make, you know, and g understood why
7:07
Speaker 3: I did it, you know, And but you.
7:09
Speaker 1: Couldn't explain it to her in the I It's got
7:11
Speaker 1: to be so hard you couldn't communicate with her.
7:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no, you can. Like that show. No producers
7:18
Speaker 3: come in while you're working, like everyone that one, because
7:22
Speaker 3: like you know with Housewives, they come in this show.
7:27
Speaker 3: They you don't see producers when you see in the beginning,
7:32
Speaker 3: and then at the end they don't.
7:34
Speaker 1: Ever you feel like you're in actual boot camp.
7:37
Speaker 3: Oh my god, it was going to Special Forces. Was
7:39
Speaker 3: worse in prison? Yeah, it was worse in prison. Yeah,
7:43
Speaker 3: and like that's totally post traumatic stress for me. I
7:48
Speaker 3: was worse. It was worse in prison.
7:50
Speaker 4: You you had to know you're in pretty good shape
7:52
Speaker 4: to even agree to go on to it, right.
7:54
Speaker 3: I work out all the time. I'm really strong. I'm
7:57
Speaker 3: really but it's like, but that was a different stroke.
8:00
Speaker 1: It was the heart. Like for me, the air airplane
8:04
Speaker 1: underwater challenge, that would have been like and we're done.
8:07
Speaker 1: And especially when you saw Eva right right before.
8:10
Speaker 3: Right before she was unconscious, so then you had to
8:13
Speaker 3: go next.
8:14
Speaker 1: What were what was going on?
8:15
Speaker 3: I tried to stay I tried. Oh I got swimming
8:18
Speaker 3: lessons before I went. If you just check out gas TikTok,
8:20
Speaker 3: she posts my swiming lessons.
8:23
Speaker 1: Thank god, it's still a new swimmer. That's still very scary.
8:27
Speaker 3: No, trust me, and I try. You see, I was
8:28
Speaker 3: pretty calm. I tried to stay calm because I was like,
8:30
Speaker 3: I have to stay com for Gia too, because I
8:32
Speaker 3: don't want to get Gia like, you know, nervous, because
8:35
Speaker 3: you know, and I'm sure she was nervous for me
8:37
Speaker 3: because she knows I can't swim, but she knew I
8:39
Speaker 3: took swimming lessons before, so I did feel comfortable and
8:44
Speaker 3: so I just I tried to stay calm. And now
8:46
Speaker 3: it's all for one hundred degrees out, so you have
8:49
Speaker 3: all those clothes, and then all of a sudden, when
8:51
Speaker 3: the water starts coming up, it's freezing cold. So I'm
8:55
Speaker 3: like trying to stay calm. So I stayed calm until
8:57
Speaker 3: the water came up to here, and then I panicked.
9:00
Speaker 3: And that's what I do. If I'm in the water
9:02
Speaker 3: and I don't touch the ground, I panick. I was
9:06
Speaker 3: just I panicked. I tried to stay calm as much
9:09
Speaker 3: as I could, and then I panicked at the end.
9:11
Speaker 3: But thank god I didn't drink any water because they
9:13
Speaker 3: said to us, I had to get all these shots,
9:16
Speaker 3: both of us, she and I, everyonoe had to get
9:18
Speaker 3: shots before going to Africa because they said, don't drink
9:21
Speaker 3: the water. The monkeys piss and poop in the water,
9:25
Speaker 3: and they're like, if you drink the water, you can
9:26
Speaker 3: get really sick. And I was like, oh, this is
9:28
Speaker 3: the first time I'm saying this. Thank God I didn't
9:30
Speaker 3: drink any water. I made sure I held my breath
9:34
Speaker 3: and I didn't drink any water.
9:46
Speaker 4: Had the fighting thing that happened, how long do you
9:48
Speaker 4: think you could have lasted all?
9:49
Speaker 3: Yeah, I would have stayed longer if the fighting thing
9:52
Speaker 3: didn't They should have made that little later I because
9:55
Speaker 3: like as a mom, just because of what G and
9:58
Speaker 3: I talked about and everything. And I was just like, yeah,
10:03
Speaker 3: that's why I voluntel. You were true. Otherwise I would
10:06
Speaker 3: have been there.
10:06
Speaker 4: But given what you were experiencing, do you think you
10:08
Speaker 4: could have? You were tough enough to hang in there,
10:11
Speaker 4: possibly to the end.
10:13
Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know if I would have to
10:15
Speaker 3: the end, but like, I'm pretty.
10:17
Speaker 4: You were locked in.
10:20
Speaker 3: Yes, And not only that, it's mentally, it's mental and physical.
10:25
Speaker 1: You've been through it.
10:26
Speaker 3: And like the mental part I totally got it. It
10:29
Speaker 3: was like the physical part that was like did you
10:31
Speaker 3: see those stairs?
10:32
Speaker 1: Yes?
10:33
Speaker 3: Oh yes, you talk about those stairs? Oh my god.
10:35
Speaker 3: Billy pushed me to go like and finish those stairs.
10:39
Speaker 3: But those stairs were.
10:40
Speaker 4: Oh my god.
10:41
Speaker 3: It was intense. Like I was like, and then carrying
10:44
Speaker 3: I'm not kidding guys, thirty pounds on my back like
10:49
Speaker 3: that was And I thought. I worked out this morning
10:51
Speaker 3: with my trainer, and I have to say, coming back,
10:55
Speaker 3: I feel stronger than before.
10:57
Speaker 1: That's cool.
10:57
Speaker 3: I do because even my trainers like and I told her,
11:01
Speaker 3: oh I lost weight there, but not them. She lost
11:03
Speaker 3: more weight than me. Yeah, but but.
11:05
Speaker 1: You've said, the whole cast, because of perhaps this collective
11:08
Speaker 1: torture that you all were going through, have truly bonded,
11:11
Speaker 1: like you have a group chat. Y'all are all texting
11:13
Speaker 1: one another.
11:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, Like Randall Cob he's like he mentioned the other day,
11:18
Speaker 3: He's like, he's like, they don't even show half we
11:21
Speaker 3: went through or like, you know, even a little bit.
11:23
Speaker 3: It's like we went through like so much because it's
11:25
Speaker 3: only an our episode, so they can't. It should be
11:28
Speaker 3: instead of ten episodes, and she would kind of be
11:29
Speaker 3: twenty episodes.
11:30
Speaker 4: How much shooting during the day to get one out?
11:33
Speaker 3: Like even the producer called me yesterday and she's like, so,
11:38
Speaker 3: how did you know? She's like, what do you think
11:40
Speaker 3: of the show? Because I say, you know, I get
11:42
Speaker 3: along with everyone, like you know, off my cast now
11:45
Speaker 3: again you know what I mean? She called me, she's like,
11:49
Speaker 3: how you doing? And she was just reaching out and
11:51
Speaker 3: she's like, you guys were shooting just what she told me,
11:53
Speaker 3: twenty hours a day because they woke us up. We
11:57
Speaker 3: don't we're going to sleep. The first night they woke
11:59
Speaker 3: us up, we had to do burpies, like jumped in
12:03
Speaker 3: the pool, you know, jump in that tub whatever. It
12:06
Speaker 3: was like huh yeah, like the plunge, yeah, the ice plunge,
12:11
Speaker 3: jump in that and then do burpies like lunges like
12:15
Speaker 3: lifting stop. I was like, oh my god, I understand.
12:19
Speaker 3: Then they wake you up early in the morning like
12:21
Speaker 3: it was like I was. I felt like I was
12:23
Speaker 3: in the army.
12:24
Speaker 1: That's what they want you to feel, right, Louis. If
12:26
Speaker 1: they they had couples on the show, they've had married
12:28
Speaker 1: couples on the show. If asked would you have done it?
12:30
Speaker 1: Would you do it?
12:32
Speaker 5: I would have done it with you. Yeah.
12:33
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good test, you know. But he doesn't
12:36
Speaker 3: like the more the deep ocean. Well you learned how
12:41
Speaker 3: to swim and you and Louis has done things like this.
12:45
Speaker 3: He's done in California, like men's retreats, so he's.
12:51
Speaker 1: Like used to that. Okay, test yourself. Yeah, I don't
12:55
Speaker 1: know about these men's retreats where you test yourself.
12:57
Speaker 6: What are these They're like like quasi Navy seal programs.
13:03
Speaker 5: Wow, Well they'll go and they'll break you down as
13:05
Speaker 5: a guy, you know, and build your back up and
13:07
Speaker 5: you could kind of see, you know, where you're short
13:10
Speaker 5: falling in.
13:11
Speaker 1: Life without enlisting exactly exactly exactly.
13:15
Speaker 3: I don't know why you would want to go through
13:16
Speaker 3: that torture pay all that money like he was doing
13:20
Speaker 3: that back then.
13:23
Speaker 1: How was the food. I'm curious.
13:24
Speaker 3: The food was not bad because I'm I did a
13:28
Speaker 3: fitness competition, so I'm.
13:29
Speaker 1: Like used to eating clean food.
13:32
Speaker 3: It was just very clean, Like it was like baked chicken,
13:35
Speaker 3: but like like not even baked, like no breadcrumbs are
13:38
Speaker 3: like baked in the oven. Very clean potatoes, very simple,
13:44
Speaker 3: and that's what I pretty much remember. I was only
13:46
Speaker 3: there two days, so like, yeah, no, but it was
13:49
Speaker 3: like very clean, very clean food.
13:51
Speaker 4: What was the reunion like with your daughter when you
13:54
Speaker 4: finally guy back together or even talks for the first time.
13:57
Speaker 4: Were you trying to apologize? Was she annoyed at all?
14:00
Speaker 2: Was all?
14:01
Speaker 3: She totally got it. She already knows my kid, my child,
14:04
Speaker 3: my kids. I'm very close to all my four daughters,
14:07
Speaker 3: like and like they we totally understand each other. Yeah,
14:12
Speaker 3: because he kept saying to her, You're you know your
14:14
Speaker 3: mom's holding you back, and she's like, no, she's not.
14:17
Speaker 3: My mom's not holding me back, Like and I know
14:19
Speaker 3: I wasn't holding my child back, like so we you know,
14:22
Speaker 3: we were good, you know, so yeah, because that's what
14:25
Speaker 3: they were saying that they were telling her that they're
14:26
Speaker 3: like your mom, you know She's like, no, my mom's
14:28
Speaker 3: not holding me back, you know.
14:30
Speaker 4: And when the show started, last thing for me here
14:32
Speaker 4: when it started, and you can answer this too, when
14:34
Speaker 4: you saw who the competition was, did you already figure
14:38
Speaker 4: out that person's going to be a problem that one's
14:40
Speaker 4: strong don't have to worry about. Did you already see
14:43
Speaker 4: and who did you think we're going to be the
14:45
Speaker 4: toughest one?
14:45
Speaker 3: Yeah? You know what. Luckily our cast we were so amazing,
14:50
Speaker 3: Like everybody was great, like our whole cast. Everybody was
14:54
Speaker 3: helping each other, and the men were gentlemen, like if
14:57
Speaker 3: we like going up the hill carrying those things, like
15:00
Speaker 3: they would help us, like if we had our backpack,
15:02
Speaker 3: like just like lift up my backpack and help me
15:06
Speaker 3: up to Like Nick. Me and Nick Young we were
15:08
Speaker 3: at the end like running the two of us, like
15:11
Speaker 3: he was like my like he was my buddy because
15:13
Speaker 3: we were like everybody else was in front of us.
15:16
Speaker 3: Me and him were like trying to catch up. But
15:18
Speaker 3: I had to say, all the guys were gentlemen helping
15:21
Speaker 3: the women, and like nobody like the women. Nobody was
15:24
Speaker 3: bitchy or anything like that. We all were like a team,
15:27
Speaker 3: like you know in the army, like everybody's supposed to
15:29
Speaker 3: help each other. That's how we were here.
15:32
Speaker 1: That the experience is very much like what you would
15:35
Speaker 1: get it. It's not about the TV and the and
15:37
Speaker 1: the production value. It's truly about actually having this unique experience.
15:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, and like helping each other like that, that's like
15:45
Speaker 3: a bonding experience, like not just worrying about yourself, like
15:49
Speaker 3: because that's everyone called me like a I was like
15:51
Speaker 3: the mama bear, you know, like you know, looking at
15:53
Speaker 3: you know, asking everybody they're okay, wiping the dirt off,
15:57
Speaker 3: like you know, their face.
15:58
Speaker 4: You know.
15:58
Speaker 3: I don't know if you saw that, like but you know,
16:02
Speaker 3: oh yeah, because.
16:03
Speaker 5: You do poopy in here, just let me know and
16:04
Speaker 5: I'll come clete it.
16:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. Jesse mother was like love that. He
16:08
Speaker 3: was on his podcast and he said he loved when
16:10
Speaker 3: I said that. He thought that was so funny. But
16:13
Speaker 3: I was just like because because I was on bathroom duty,
16:16
Speaker 3: and I was like, it was the best day to
16:18
Speaker 3: be on bathroom duty because nobody goes to the bathroom
16:20
Speaker 3: the first day. That's so everyone said that to me.
16:24
Speaker 3: I'm like, They're like, you're so lucky you get it
16:26
Speaker 3: the first day. And then I was like, so I
16:28
Speaker 3: didn't know if they were watching me. So I ended
16:30
Speaker 3: up using all the cleaning supplies because all I did
16:33
Speaker 3: was pour it in there so it smelled good. I
16:35
Speaker 3: was like, I didn't know if they were looking at
16:37
Speaker 3: me cleaning, so I wanted to make sure I did
16:39
Speaker 3: my job like I follow rules.
16:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, last question for me. You went out
16:45
Speaker 1: after two days. If they asked you or you both
16:47
Speaker 1: think about would you do it again?
16:49
Speaker 3: Teresa? Yes, I would do it again. Yeah, I would
16:53
Speaker 3: do it again.
16:55
Speaker 1: That's very cool redemption And I could see couple's edition.
16:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, I would do it again. Hi you way?
17:00
