- 0:00Welcome to the Curve Weekly, the podcast that keeps you up to date with all of the money
- 0:04business and stock market too. Brought to you by the Curve's research team,
- 0:07that's the latest insights on what's happening in the stock market, companies,
- 0:11other money related news so that you can stay educated and ahead of the curve.
- 0:15You can thank us later for sounding smarter than those finance bros you need to know, Patti.
- 0:19I can't believe I'm speaking to the one and only coin tosser from the tennis.
- 0:25Oh my gosh.
- 0:30How did you get roped into that?
- 0:33I'm just such a tennis pro.
- 0:36No, I was doing a presentation at PSB and just before I spoke, they were like, hey, Vick,
- 0:43would you like to do the coin toss?
- 0:45And I didn't think anything of it. I was like, yeah, great. But Eva, I was like, oh my gosh.
- 0:49Oh my gosh, are you going to do it? Oh my god.
- 0:51So Eva, I was kind of building, I was like, oh, this is quite a big deal.
- 0:54Well, match if you dropped the coin or something.
- 0:57Sorry, also for anyone listening and they have no idea what we're talking about,
- 0:59the tennis is happening in New Zealand at the moment.
- 1:02Vick is...
- 1:03The ASB classic, yes, it's like, it's like,
- 1:05oh, Australian open.
- 1:07And Vick is in New Zealand right now and she is getting all the PR for the curve.
- 1:15And actually, the best part was Tom from the curve, like, who actually works with us.
- 1:19It seemed just like a screenshot of the ad and it's like,
- 1:22want to be the coin tosser and it's literally got like the outline of a child
- 1:26and a question mark over the head.
- 1:28And it's like, make your dreams come true.
- 1:30And it's like, I know, I'm so proud of that.
- 1:34The players are also so young and like, so, so what?
- 1:39What's a, what's a muscle? Do you know?
- 1:41They're athletes.
- 1:42Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:43They did take the heart, but they are 18.
- 1:46Yes.
- 1:47That's all right.
- 1:50Anyway, 25.
- 1:51It's 25.
- 1:52Woo.
- 1:59No, it's honestly.
- 2:01No, it has been a nice break.
- 2:04Sometimes I...
- 2:05You know, I get bored of my own voice, so it's nice to have just, like, you know,
- 2:09had a couple of weeks to stop talking.
- 2:11And then now we're back.
- 2:12However, do you know what it did make me realize, Vick?
- 2:14I don't know, you're that, but I don't know anything that happens in the financial markets
- 2:23and the news without the curve weekly.
- 2:26Someone was saying something yesterday about Trump wanting to take over Iceland or Green
- 2:32and England and Mexico and I was like quickly Googling like, you're like, when I need
- 2:38her.
- 2:39I was like, oh wow, wow, thank God for that.
- 2:42Yeah, no, I must admit, I didn't event, I didn't event at the tennis and it was talking
- 2:47about interest rates, you know, what's going on in the economy, America, Trump and I was
- 2:52my brain was hurting because I hadn't been used in a while.
- 2:56You've really switched off.
- 2:58Yeah, no, no, it's just like I can read the news, but just like talking about interpreting
- 3:01it, I hadn't done for a while, you know.
- 3:06We're starting the year with a fun new game that we've decided is going to be an ongoing
- 3:11tradition.
- 3:12So 2026, wow, what's going to happen this year?
- 3:17That just all of a sudden hit me, we've got a whole fresh year.
- 3:20I must say, I've started the year strong, I don't know about you, but I'm feeling strong
- 3:25about financially strong, physically strong, emotionally strong, will be above.
- 3:29But emotionally strong, although getting there, I would say physically not strong at all,
- 3:35also getting there financially strong, not like quite financially strong, I would say
- 3:42actually, I just meant like I really take the new year as such a chance to just clean
- 3:48all my shit up, you know, it's like, right, I'm going to do this this year, I'm going
- 3:52to do that and I actually, I think I was what listing or watching to Grace Beverly's
- 3:56YouTube about her productivity method, she was going on about how like, you know, it's
- 4:02fine to make a goal.
- 4:03I mean, yes, a goal written down is 40% more likely to come true, but if you don't break
- 4:08down the steps from where you are now to where you're going, which essentially ends up
- 4:12being habits, which we all know, but actually like to go and spend the time to go and do
- 4:19the thing and then put it in your calendar and then and whether it's an automatic payment
- 4:23or whether it's reminding yourself that you want to do a grand shoot, you know, whatever
- 4:27the things are, you need to put things in place and I'm just feeling like proud of myself.
- 4:33That visualization thing is definitely so true.
- 4:37I've got a full on background on my computer now.
- 4:39Yeah, and like, you do like vision boards, yeah, I know I did my tenure vision at the end
- 4:45of last year.
- 4:46Good God.
- 4:47What's in it?
- 4:48It's like, where are we living?
- 4:50What are we doing?
- 4:51How are we feeling?
- 4:52We will be living.
- 4:53Who I'm used.
- 4:54This is huge.
- 4:55You can't like reveal this to me in a podcast.
- 4:57We'll take this offline.
- 4:58We'll take this offline.
- 4:59We'll take this offline.
- 5:00We'll take this offline.
- 5:01Because now I'm scared you're going to be like, yeah, okay, we'll take that offline.
- 5:05But it's so true if you visualize it, it comes true.
- 5:09Well, most of the time.
- 5:10But.
- 5:11Well, it's not just visualizing though, right?
- 5:12Like you've got actually do this stuff.
- 5:14Yeah.
- 5:15As an example, if your goal was you wanted to invest 10% of your paycheck every month,
- 5:23do know what 10% of your paycheck is.
- 5:26Have you automated that amount and two, where you plan, you know, like, it's all good to
- 5:30say it, but unless you go and do the work, there's kind of no point in writing it down.
- 5:35You know what also helps setting yourself up financially for the year is being in a country
- 5:41where your money goes further.
- 5:44So converting my pounds into Kiwi dollars, it's effectively, like, doubling my money,
- 5:50which is great.
- 5:51But isn't it kind of not doubling your money when things are double the price?
- 5:56Well, it's like paying for a coffee over here that might be $5, it's like $2.50.
- 6:01Everything here is expensive.
- 6:02Don't get me wrong.
- 6:03It's definitely more expensive than when I left.
- 6:06But because I'm now earning pounds and converting it back, my pounds are essentially
- 6:10doubling.
- 6:11Okay.
- 6:12So it's great.
- 6:13So everything feels, you know, when you go to the UK as a Kiwi, you're like, oh my gosh.
- 6:18Yeah.
- 6:19I'm not convinced only because, I mean, are you basically saying that our salary when
- 6:25we go to New Zealand has doubled.
- 6:27However, even though things are expensive in New Zealand, they're not quite as expensive
- 6:33as literally double.
- 6:35So for example, if a coffee here is three pounds, it's not going to be six New Zealand.
- 6:40It might be five.
- 6:41So even though.
- 6:42Yeah, yeah.
- 6:43Okay.
- 6:44Right.
- 6:45So everything seems cheaper.
- 6:46Yeah, it might just be mindset thing, but also I think just like summertime is a bit
- 6:52more cheaper.
- 6:53That is not true.
- 6:54You go on the most outrageous summer holidays, but in Europe, you know, like here, here I
- 7:01just go up to the Caramander and just like swim and go to the beach and play tennis and
- 7:06go for walks.
- 7:07It's like very cheap holidays in the sense of it.
- 7:10You own the house that you get to holiday and it's very cheap.
- 7:17When we did that post around financial transparency, and I disclosed what my investments were,
- 7:24and it was inspired by girls that invest, one of our community members pointed out what
- 7:32about your investment in the curve.
- 7:33I didn't think that when I saw it.
- 7:35And I was like, oh, my goodness, that is my biggest asset right now.
- 7:40And you just casually left it off when you're so in something or just how much I had thought
- 7:47of a private investment in a business.
- 7:51Oh, yeah, I'm sorry, I put my hand up and say, I don't know what happened.
- 7:53I think my brain was still in holiday.
- 7:55Oh, she did have a question.
- 7:58Yes, my emergency fund being so low.
- 8:02Like that seems really low because I used it on what building it back up because I had
- 8:08a month where I had to pay a mortgage in between my tenants in my house in Auckland.
- 8:12So I had to use it.
- 8:14So you actually use it on an emergency?
- 8:17Yes.
- 8:18Wow.
- 8:19This is a celebration.
- 8:20Probably a bit of a gray area about whether it was emergency and poor planning on my
- 8:22part, but yes, I dipped into it.
- 8:24I was really glad that that person said that because I thought the same thing.
- 8:29I thought Tori Harris has been doing us duty.
- 8:32She's been telling us to have three to six months of emergency funds.
- 8:36And here we are looking at yours and you've probably got one and then that makes a lot
- 8:40of sense.
- 8:41Yes.
- 8:42I've never seen someone so excited for me to have an emergency.
- 8:45Sorry.
- 8:46I know that's because that's what they're for, you know, it's like it's almost like being
- 8:51like, we prepare for earthquakes, but then there's never an earthquake.
- 8:55And I'm not saying an earthquake is a good thing, but it's like when you've done the
- 8:57preparation and you know to stand in the doorway, you know, there's a tiny little positive
- 9:03in there.
- 9:04Yes.
- 9:05Exactly.
- 9:06I'm speaking of emergency funds, I was, I'm part of this group and we sell our clothes
- 9:10online and it's great because it's like, if it's not, if I'm not wearing it or not
- 9:15going to, I'm going to take to the landfill, I'm going to sell it and get some money for
- 9:19it.
- 9:20And I see my bank details as this girl that bought a, I think it was the top.
- 9:24And she was like, what's the name on the account?
- 9:26It's kind of a bit anonymous because there's six or eight of us in the group and you don't
- 9:30really know who you're buying from.
- 9:31And then so I put my name and she was like.
- 9:35She transferred the money for the top and the account was called Emergency Fund.
- 9:40And she was like, oh, she's like, sorry, please don't, it's so good.
- 9:46And I was like, wow, I was like, of all people that you could be buying a top off.
- 9:53It's me.
- 9:54And she just felt so guilty.
- 9:55It was quite funny.
- 9:56She's so funny.
- 9:57Oh my God.
- 9:58It was really good.
- 9:59A really good example of a non-emergency, by the way.
- 10:06I know.
- 10:07Yeah.
- 10:08And I was like, not judging, but kind of him.
- 10:13That's so good.
- 10:14I want to do a quick wrap up of 2024 because we had another incredible year in the stock market.
- 10:20The S&P 500, so the top 500 companies in the US was up about 25%, which if you've been
- 10:28listening for a while, you know that that index or the US stock market usually does about
- 10:3310% on average over the long term.
- 10:36That's kind of if you average out all the ups and downs over the last 30 years, it's been
- 10:40about 10% return per year.
- 10:42So the fact that it's delivered 25% is like well above that, that's an incredible year.
- 10:49And I was looking back over the last 10 years.
- 10:53There's only been three years where the S&P 500 has delivered a negative return.
- 11:00And if we go back to the last 20 years, there's only four years that it's had a negative
- 11:07return.
- 11:08What do you mean negative as in some would have lost money?
- 11:10A negative year as in a negative annual year of return.
- 11:13So this year it's done 25% and a negative would be negative one, negative 10, negative
- 11:1820, that would be so bad if it was doing negative.
- 11:23But no, I'm saying in the last 20 years, there's only been four years where it's finished
- 11:30negative or down.
- 11:31I don't know, I don't like those stats, four out of 20 years.
- 11:38That means like every year pretty much you're getting a positive return apart from four
- 11:42years.
- 11:43But people like who maybe are hearing that and thinking yeah well I don't want to get
- 11:46a negative return.
- 11:47I would put that on itself and say, but all those people that like too scared to invest
- 11:51in the stock market, there's only been four times out of the last 20 years that you possibly
- 11:59could have lost money.
- 12:00Okay, that's less scary.
- 12:01Yeah.
- 12:02So all those people that are waiting for the stock market to be down before they invest
- 12:09and they're trying to time the market, you're lucky.
- 12:12You could be waiting five years, four years, you know, that you could be waiting a very,
- 12:17very long time.
- 12:18So the lesson everyone invests.
- 12:22And also the thing is when we put our money in places like the S&P 500 for example, we're
- 12:28not putting it in there for a quick win anyway.
- 12:30So the idea is that you're not pulling it out on those years so it doesn't matter.
- 12:35Yeah.
- 12:36And so the last two years have been over 20% return for the US stock market and that is
- 12:44the best two year run that the stock markets had since 1998.
- 12:49The biggest contributor to that return was obviously the IT sector, so the information
- 12:53technology sector, which has got your Microsoft, your Nvidia's, your Apple's, which we all
- 12:59know have done fantastically well.
- 13:02So over half of that return was due to that sector.
- 13:06And then I was like, I got looking at other stock markets around the world.
- 13:10I was like, yeah, we always talk about the US, but like, what about the UK?
- 13:13And that was that done.
- 13:14And there's a reason no one's really talking about the UK stock market or, you know, everyone
- 13:19wants to invest in the US stock market, A, because it has done well, but also B, that
- 13:24the UK market hasn't done very well.
- 13:28So if you had put in $10,000 into the US stock market 24 years ago, so in 2000, you'd have
- 13:35$65,000.
- 13:36So you just put that $10,000 and you didn't add to it at all.
- 13:40You'd have $65,000.
- 13:43If you'd put that in the UK stock market, you would have made $20,000.
- 13:47So why to start difference.
- 13:49Now if you put that in as $100,000, and you'd have $650,000, you know, the more you put
- 13:56in, the bigger your return.
- 13:58But this is why everyone wants to invest in the US stock market, is because it just continually
- 14:03does well and continues to outperform other stock markets around the world.
- 14:07So it's banger after banger after bangers, but the more bangers it has, the more likelihood
- 14:15it is to have a non-banger.
- 14:17I disagree.
- 14:18AI is absolutely belowing up in our face.
- 14:25Like there's a, don't you think innovation equals stock market going up to the right and
- 14:30having a great year?
- 14:32Well, it leads to company profits and a lot of the US stock market has got tech companies
- 14:36in it.
- 14:37And so yes, when they're benefiting from things like AI, then the whole US stock market effectively
- 14:43does well.
- 14:44I love that you just segway into that.
- 14:47Do you think so, we're moving on to our prediction.
- 14:51Do you think at the end of 2025 that the US stock market will be up or down up, like what
- 14:57is a rough percentage?
- 14:59No, I'm going to be specific here.
- 15:01Okay.
- 15:03So 2023 was 24%, 2024 was 25%, so nearly 50%, 27%, sorry, me, my judgey face.
- 15:14What are you, what are you putting down?
- 15:16I reckon up 4%, oh, no, I was going to say down, but then I don't want to be a negative
- 15:23Nancy.
- 15:24You reckon only 4%, yeah, there is no reasoning to my, oh my god, we're so different with
- 15:31our prediction.
- 15:32Well, it makes you think it's going to be so bad.
- 15:36Just purely probabilities of how well it's done, it's well above that 10% return.
- 15:41So I'm just thinking it has to kind of come a bit back down to reality at some point.
- 15:45Okay, here's my prediction.
- 15:47I think that AI is going to take, I reckon another two years before it plateaus.
- 15:53So I reckon the next two years in the stock market is going to be bigger and then bigger.
- 15:58And I think when AI starts to settle down and there's not a huge amount of growth happening
- 16:02there, then I think it's going to go back to being lower.
- 16:06Yeah, no, I agree, I agree with that.
- 16:08So why did you make a 4% prediction?
- 16:11Because I think the market's forward looking, so I think that's already priced in.
- 16:14Oh, that's so genius.
- 16:18Damn, I want to change my answer.
- 16:20Oh my god, you're so right.
- 16:24That's such a good example of when you say markets are forward looking.
- 16:27Yeah.
- 16:28Oh my god, so they're going to crash.
- 16:31No, no, no, no, no.
- 16:33Okay, next one.
- 16:35Will Bitcoin hit $200,000?
- 16:38Yes.
- 16:39Yeah.
- 16:40Okay.
- 16:41I'm going to say no just because just to make this more fun.
- 16:43Yeah, yeah.
- 16:44What do you reckon it would get to?
- 16:45Any ideas?
- 16:46I think like 150 maybe.
- 16:48I think it's still, like if you look at this Bitcoin chart, like roofed it and did really well,
- 16:53then kind of plate out for a while, then head this other leg up.
- 16:56It does these big jumps and then kind of like hovers around.
- 16:59It doesn't really do much.
- 17:00And then that has, you know, there's something else that's a catalyst that like propels it up
- 17:04again.
- 17:05So I just feel like we're maybe in this bit of a low.
- 17:08Like we had the boost from Trump being like, I'm going to make US, you know, the crypto capital
- 17:13of the world.
- 17:14And we've had ETFs that help everyone actually invest in Bitcoin.
- 17:17And I kind of, I can't see the next catalyst.
- 17:23It doesn't mean there's not going to be one, but it's just say maybe there is this bit of a
- 17:29low.
- 17:30But I think Trump is going to be shaking his Bitcoin back around.
- 17:35And I think that everyone, including the taxi driver, will be investing in Bitcoin.
- 17:41And it will be every single person has money in Bitcoin.
- 17:44And it's just, oh, but that's when it stops going up because there's no money going to it.
- 17:50Oh my God, I'm getting really smoked here.
- 17:53No, but we don't know.
- 17:55But honestly, the number of things that came out of the woodwork this year, you know,
- 17:59that we never would have predicted, like even Trump getting into power.
- 18:02It's just like, yeah, but I want to be making educated guesses.
- 18:06And I feel like it's so hard actually.
- 18:09Do you think tech talk will get banned in the US?
- 18:12No.
- 18:13I think that Trump would just be like, there would be a stupid move for him.
- 18:17But he is stupid.
- 18:19Do you think interest rates in New Zealand will be higher or lower by the end of the year?
- 18:22What are they now?
- 18:24It's at 4.25%.
- 18:26Remember what moves interest rates?
- 18:28So if New Zealand heads into recession or like things get a bit tough,
- 18:33then you want to cut interest rates to help stimulate the economy.
- 18:37But if things are going really well, then you kind of either leave them as they are
- 18:40or you could possibly increase them.
- 18:43If inflation gets too high, then you want to start increasing rates.
- 18:47I think it's going to be at about 3%.
- 18:50I'm saying that because I think there is a tough time ahead for the New Zealand economy.
- 18:57And I think that I don't think it's going to drop crazy amounts.
- 19:01Because also that's so counterintuitive.
- 19:03If inflation is high, interest rates are high.
- 19:06Because it's like a hand break on the economy.
- 19:09You want to stop people spending.
- 19:11You want to encourage people to save.
- 19:13Because the more people that spend, the more prices go up.
- 19:17The more demand here is.
- 19:19So it is very dependent.
- 19:20If we get run away inflation again, we could very much see.
- 19:24Because that's the thing, right?
- 19:25It's not just about like the economy struggling.
- 19:27If inflation all of a sudden gets even more out of control,
- 19:31interest rates will go up.
- 19:34If the economy is struggling and inflation isn't super high,
- 19:37then I would say interest rates would be around 3%.
- 19:40I like that figure.
- 19:41Should we agree on one?
- 19:43Yeah.
- 19:443%.
- 19:45I've got 3%.
- 19:47This is so much fun.
- 19:48How many female CEOs do you think there will be in the S&P 500?
- 19:52There's currently 30 out of the 500 companies in the index.
- 19:56But how many was there last year compared to this year?
- 20:00So it's gone from in 2021.
- 20:02We had 30 in 2022.
- 20:05We had 32 in 2023.
- 20:08We had 41 and we are now at 39 women in 2024.
- 20:13So it's been jumping around.
- 20:15I'm going to have 45.
- 20:16No, that's too ambitious.
- 20:18I'm going to go 44.
- 20:21Don't go one down.
- 20:25I'm going to go 50.
- 20:29I just want this.
- 20:31I think this might be the year where there is a big acceleration.
- 20:37Sain actually.
- 20:39Yeah.
- 20:40I just want this.
- 20:42They're almost not being a backlash from Trump,
- 20:45but just like you know what,
- 20:47we can still progress despite who's leading the country.
- 20:50You know, I just feel like there's going to be a big ramp up.
- 20:54I'm going to go 50.
- 20:55Okay.
- 20:56Can I change mine?
- 20:57I want to be ambitious.
- 20:58I'm going to go 50.
- 21:01Christian, where do you think this is going to be?
- 21:07So you've called it out of Apple Navidiar.
- 21:11Microsoft, Mesa, Amazon and Google.
- 21:13So the kind of the big four.
- 21:16Yeah, which do think we'll perform the best at the end of the year.
- 21:20Google.
- 21:22In the UK, do you think inflation will be higher or lower?
- 21:28What is it now?
- 21:30It is at 3.7%.
- 21:33It's the highest level it's been since March last year.
- 21:36Why would it go up?
- 21:38It could go up because
- 21:41Trump decides it's going to be a trade war.
- 21:44And the biggest trading partner for the UK is the US.
- 21:47And so we know that tariffs don't mean
- 21:49yes, the company pays them, but at the end of the day,
- 21:51it means higher prices on things for you and me.
- 21:53So that could be one reason.
- 21:57It could be things like climate change has been
- 22:01impacting the price of coffee, the price of agriculture
- 22:05because the price impacted.
- 22:07It could be energy costs or a big one for the UK.
- 22:11All of these things are sounding like I'm guessing high,
- 22:15like 6%.
- 22:18OK, yeah.
- 22:19What's your guess?
- 22:20I can 4%.
- 22:21You were just trying to lead me up the garden path, weren't you?
- 22:27Oh, this is a good e.
- 22:29And this is kind of free reign.
- 22:31What do you think will be the top three performing stocks
- 22:36in the S&P 500 by the end of the year?
- 22:38This is so fun.
- 22:40Oh god, OK, I feel like neither of us will get these right.
- 22:44I'm guessing Google will be up there.
- 22:46I mean, we both just guessed that.
- 22:47So Google, I mean, this is just a bit fun.
- 22:50Like, it could be some rogue company,
- 22:52like monster energy drinks, which is done so well.
- 22:56Hazard.
- 22:56Sorry, no, that's not an S&P 500.
- 22:58So sorry, but has it done well?
- 22:59It's so random.
- 23:00Hostile drinks, I know.
- 23:03I was doing it for the other day.
- 23:04And I was like, if you were in the office
- 23:06and someone opened a can of monster,
- 23:08it would almost be worse than lighting up a cigarette.
- 23:11So, like, that sweet smile, you can just smell it.
- 23:16Also, just the kind of the judgment of like, oh my gosh,
- 23:20are you actually doing it?
- 23:21They're also, honestly, the biggest drinks ever.
- 23:23Like, they're enormous.
- 23:24No wonder you actually fly off the wall.
- 23:26The branding's horrific.
- 23:28Yeah, it's not good.
- 23:29I don't mean I don't think we need target market to be fair.
- 23:31No.
- 23:32Um, I mean, I'm really strong.
- 23:34I can't think of any companies in my computers too far away
- 23:36to even look at who's in the S&P 500 right now.
- 23:39Can you throw some names at me?
- 23:40Why don't we?
- 23:41This is a good, we look at the worst performing stocks
- 23:44in the S&P 500.
- 23:45Okay.
- 23:46Because, you know, they might be the underdogs.
- 23:50Do you think Tesla's going to do well?
- 23:51Yes, actually, because him and Trump are like BFFs.
- 23:55Hurts is one of the worst performing.
- 23:56Hurts car rentals.
- 23:58It's the only thing that's going to shoot the lights out
- 23:59more than a video.
- 24:00LAUGHTER
- 24:03I'm mad just...
- 24:05Hurts, we're coming in!
- 24:08I'm coming in.
- 24:09Pulling their trucks up.
- 24:10Okay, other companies in the S&P 500, we've got like,
- 24:13Visa, we've got MasterCard, we've got Airbnb.
- 24:18I think maybe crypto or something crypto-related will list.
- 24:22Something crypto-related.
- 24:23Micro-strategy.
- 24:25It's not in the S&P 500, but it can be.
- 24:27It can be, okay.
- 24:28We talked about that in the club, by the way,
- 24:30in case anyone's like, what is that?
- 24:31In the Investing Club.
- 24:32There is.
- 24:33Ultra-beauty, eBay.
- 24:36First solar, I'm going.
- 24:37First solar, I'm going Google, I'm going...
- 24:42A random crypto company that all of the sun
- 24:44booms to the top.
- 24:46What are your guesses?
- 24:47I'm going to do a new video again.
- 24:48Yeah, I was going to do that, but I thought it was too basic.
- 24:51I'm going to do Google, too.
- 24:53Be a light.
- 24:54This is not a paid endorsement by Google.
- 24:58I'm going to do Pfizer, just because...
- 25:03What are they working on?
- 25:05They're working on...
- 25:06Oh, the drug there is impact drug.
- 25:09And Netflix, bring it on.
- 25:10I feel like I'm going to lose already, but...
- 25:13Can we have a fourth?
- 25:14Yep.
- 25:15You're going to do a fourth, yeah.
- 25:16I'm going to do a bit shy, I had the way.
- 25:18One of our thoughts.
- 25:18You love her, don't you?
- 25:20Yeah.
- 25:20One more from you.
- 25:21What are you?
- 25:22I'm going to put Tesla in.
- 25:23Oh, yes, yeah, nice.
- 25:25Yeah.
- 25:26What are you putting in Pfizer to meet her?
- 25:29Yeah, because did you see that thing?
- 25:31No, did you see that thing that he...
- 25:33The censorship stuff, like, oh my God,
- 25:35he's so jump-hunter-bed with Elon and Trump.
- 25:38I know.
- 25:39Yeah.
- 25:40They're having a threesome.
- 25:41I can feel it.
- 25:42They're having a threesome.
- 25:43And then someone, I saw this headline,
- 25:44and it was like,
- 25:46Meta founder is a pedophile, they're, like,
- 25:48because it's like, he's not fact-checking any of his...
- 25:51Oh, that's so good.
- 25:52Any of his stuff?
- 25:53I was like, oh my God, is he?
- 25:54And I was like, oh, they're trying to get their point across,
- 25:58they see, I was like, how did it work?
- 26:00Oh, so those are our predictions.
- 26:02Okay, I can't wait to see.
- 26:05Oh, last one.
- 26:06What do you think is going to be
- 26:08the, like, left-field, black swan thing
- 26:12that nobody's thought about that's going to happen?
- 26:15This is the best game we've ever played together.
- 26:18Think absolute rogue.
- 26:20Class pass.
- 26:22Class pass or IPO?
- 26:23I think that's probably a good one.
- 26:25Thank you.
- 26:25That's what I thought.
- 26:26But that's not a fun one.
- 26:28Okay.
- 26:29Oh, I reckon Alex Cooper's going to start running for president.
- 26:33I agree, but that's four years away.
- 26:35Yeah.
- 26:36No, you're right, you're right.
- 26:37What about Japan becomes the economic hub for the world?
- 26:44Yeah.
- 26:45Japan's like economy just starts like
- 26:49kind of rivaling China's almost.
- 26:52Yeah, like that.
- 26:53Honestly, if I could just by the way,
- 26:55five years ago look at myself now
- 26:57having so much fun guessing this random stuff,
- 26:59like it is ridiculous.
- 27:02There's probably three people still listening
- 27:03to this episode.
- 27:05Yeah, yeah.
- 27:06No, it's so boring.
- 27:08I reckon Australia takes over New Zealand
- 27:10and there's an all-out war.
- 27:12What's wrong with you?
- 27:13I reckon Netflix and Spotify will merge.
- 27:18Yeah, great.
- 27:19One of the biggest media companies in the world.
- 27:23Genius, that's actually a genius one.
- 27:25That's me.
- 27:27Oh, I love that.
- 27:27That's so good.
- 27:29Oh, okay.
- 27:30I'm excited.
