- 1:01Speaker 3: It's a podcast called twenty five wist So stuck in
- 1:05Speaker 3: Puno and they all went whist So, yeah, it's too bad,
- 1:09Speaker 3: But what did you expect. It's a podcast called twenty five.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Whistles wine Wheel.
- 1:16Speaker 1: All right, welcome to the first episode of twenty twenty six.
- 1:20Speaker 1: And I don't know where you are going to start,
- 1:22Speaker 1: but I will start on. We just flew back into town.
- 1:24Speaker 1: We're recording this on Sunday night, so we flew back
- 1:27Speaker 1: in like two hours ago.
- 1:30Speaker 2: And so have you been to LaGuardia in New York.
- 1:35Speaker 2: It's it's the airport I've been before. I haven't. It's
- 1:37Speaker 2: been a bit. It's new and it's nice. Now, oh
- 1:39Speaker 2: that's where he flew out of it and it's a
- 1:41Speaker 2: it's actually great, okay, which it hasn't been.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And so we're getting on the flight because we spend
- 1:47Speaker 1: a few days in New York. And I'm not a
- 1:49Speaker 1: big judge of what people do on planes. This dude
- 1:52Speaker 1: pulled out an order of Chinese.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Food that he didn't get at the airport. So it's
- 1:57Speaker 2: not even a story.
- 1:58Speaker 1: It's it's not even a story of someone buying food
- 2:02Speaker 1: that stinks in the airport and then opening it because
- 2:05Speaker 1: Eddie's a big egg guy, just generally the morning, yes,
- 2:09Speaker 1: and so he makes the room smell like boiled eggs
- 2:11Speaker 1: a lot. This guy out with your story, but go ahead.
- 2:16Speaker 1: My point is I don't really judge you. I'm making
- 2:19Speaker 1: food smells in that room.
- 2:21Speaker 2: They go away pretty quickly. That's your breakfast too.
- 2:24Speaker 1: But when you get on a plane in a little
- 2:26Speaker 1: tube with two hundred other people.
- 2:28Speaker 2: It's trapped and they he didn't get it in the airport.
- 2:32Speaker 4: If in the airport you.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Thought I sure would like some Chinese food. That looks good. Oh,
- 2:37Speaker 1: my flight's happening a little quicker than I thought. I'll
- 2:40Speaker 1: take it to go. I'll take it on the plane
- 2:41Speaker 1: and eat it. Even then I would go, you're not
- 2:45Speaker 1: thinking of others. But I understand maybe you weren't thinking
- 2:47Speaker 1: at all. This guy brought in a full tuberware set
- 2:50Speaker 1: with plastic spoons, plastic.
- 2:52Speaker 4: For he'd done this before.
- 2:54Speaker 1: In the middle, opens it up and Kaitlyn looks at
- 2:57Speaker 1: me and goes, oh, she thinks I farted something on
- 3:00Speaker 1: the plane.
- 3:00Speaker 2: It smelled that bad.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I look over and he's just going to town on
- 3:05Speaker 1: a home brought super stinky Chinese food meal, and I
- 3:10Speaker 1: don't want to look around and and make the guy
- 3:13Speaker 1: feel awkward. But he wasn't. He didn't think anyone would
- 3:15Speaker 1: would think anything of it. I look over and we
- 3:19Speaker 1: all have a bond. These people that I've never talked
- 3:20Speaker 1: to before in my life, never met I still hadn't
- 3:23Speaker 1: met them, but we were sitting next to each other
- 3:24Speaker 1: on the plane or in Rose.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I was looking around and they were looking at me.
- 3:26Speaker 2: We're like, are you seeing what we're seeing?
- 3:29Speaker 1: Guy was going hard. So that was my That was
- 3:32Speaker 1: my experience coming in today.
- 3:34Speaker 4: We were in New York.
- 3:35Speaker 2: It's cold, is it? It's physic cold? It sucks. Is
- 3:39Speaker 2: it snowing?
- 3:40Speaker 1: No, it wasn't snowing, but it had snowed before we
- 3:42Speaker 1: got there, so there was still some snow on the ground.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Oh that's cool.
- 3:45Speaker 1: But we were staying in the city, so there wasn't
- 3:46Speaker 1: any snow there because that's so traveled.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Yeah, but it was.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Super cold in New York, so much so when I
- 3:54Speaker 1: landed here when it was forty five, it felt warm.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I was gonna say it probably felt warm here.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It was cutting like. I went out and I took
- 4:01Speaker 1: a picture and I put it on my Instagram and
- 4:03Speaker 1: my nose is so dry for being cold, Like I
- 4:05Speaker 1: keep grabbing my nose. And I put a picture up
- 4:10Speaker 1: because I will go out. And I had like three
- 4:12Speaker 1: layers on top and had a hood up over my ears,
- 4:16Speaker 1: but I only had jeans on the bottom, because even
- 4:18Speaker 1: if I'm packing for cold, I don't really pack things
- 4:21Speaker 1: to wear under my pants?
- 4:22Speaker 2: Are gonna do long John's? Like, what am I gonna wear?
- 4:25Speaker 4: Long drawn? Yeah?
- 4:27Speaker 1: I don't even know long drives. And so I posted
- 4:30Speaker 1: on my Instagram picture and I was like, not really
- 4:32Speaker 1: a cold guy. And you see I'm in layers. But
- 4:35Speaker 1: do you guys ever wear anything under your.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Jeans if it's cold, don't you just go cold legs?
- 4:40Speaker 4: Yeah? Maybe like throw a basketball shorts underneath.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Even then, But what's that going to do with how
- 4:45Speaker 2: tight my pants offers a little bit more of like
- 4:47Speaker 2: a thick layer and some comfort there.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Yeah, and it helps a little bit, But I don't
- 4:51Speaker 4: like bring that thinking I'm bringing these four this.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Top half of my body. I think your T shirt.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I had on a hoodie, I had on a coat.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I had on a hat over the top of my head,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and the hoodie over my ears shoes. If I need
- 5:05Speaker 1: to wear two pair of socks, I will, but pants
- 5:06Speaker 1: it was just one tiny layer of jeane and I
- 5:10Speaker 1: was freezing and so. On that Instagram, the guy commented,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you should do more leg work. It looks like we
- 5:18Speaker 1: have bird legs.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Oh, because you're so big up top? No, because no,
- 5:22Speaker 2: I think you just thought I had bird legs. All right,
- 5:25Speaker 2: Really think about being an adult. We don't care anymore.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I think when I was twenty five, I probably cared
- 5:33Speaker 2: a little. Now I know I have skinny calves, but
- 5:36Speaker 2: we don't care anymore. And it was crazy, even like
- 5:38Speaker 2: when we're like fool on working out legs, our legs
- 5:41Speaker 2: never got bigger. I think legs are just like you
- 5:43Speaker 2: are who you are with legs.
- 5:44Speaker 4: It's very hereditary, right, Yeah, I believe that too.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I have a special yeah, because I know some dudes
- 5:51Speaker 1: that are ripped up, who have small calves, and they
- 5:53Speaker 1: obsess over their calves and they try to make their
- 5:56Speaker 1: calves bigger. And I think you probably can't change them
- 5:57Speaker 1: a little bit if you put the work into it.
- 5:59Speaker 1: But you're right, I think it's mostly genetic.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Yeah, when I see dudes with big calves, I'm like.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Dang, dude, they've had them their whole life.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Yeah, like you were born with that for sure. No
- 6:05Speaker 4: matter what you do, whether you work out or not,
- 6:07Speaker 4: you're gonna have those calves.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I don't want to say that's absolutely true, because I
- 6:11Speaker 1: do think there is like twenty percent you can change.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You're right, dudes with big calves are mostly dudes that
- 6:17Speaker 1: were born with big calves.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Have you ever done the calf raising machine at the gym?
- 6:21Speaker 2: They still haven't have.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I done them, yes, but like one time, because I
- 6:25Speaker 1: don't really feel like they get any bigger. I think
- 6:28Speaker 1: I probably even went in my early twenties and tried
- 6:32Speaker 1: to get bigger calves and they never got bigger after
- 6:35Speaker 1: six months or so. It was kind of like the machine.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Did you ever go to the wine They had one
- 6:39Speaker 1: that was.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Like a a not a rope, but like a cloth
- 6:44Speaker 2: and it wrapped around you and it like shook you.
- 6:47Speaker 4: H Do you ever see that one? It sounds like
- 6:49Speaker 4: a r had one of those.
- 6:51Speaker 2: You never saw them?
- 6:52Speaker 5: No?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Is that so like it shakes your fat?
- 6:54Speaker 1: I don't really know what it was for because it
- 6:57Speaker 1: wasn't like the thing because we have wanted our house.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Now you stand on and it shakes you. But what
- 7:01Speaker 1: that is is you have to engage your core the
- 7:03Speaker 1: whole time. Yes, and that's the point of it shakes you,
- 7:06Speaker 1: and you have to engage your cores.
- 7:07Speaker 4: It shakes you.
- 7:08Speaker 1: This machine it was just like a strap, like a
- 7:11Speaker 1: cloth strap that went on your butt and just shook
- 7:12Speaker 1: your butt the whole Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 2: So, like when I watch my old black and white movies,
- 7:15Speaker 2: they'll show like an old teenage like a young teenage
- 7:18Speaker 2: girl strapped to the washing machine and she's doing that
- 7:21Speaker 2: and they're like, oh, what movies you want? You know,
- 7:24Speaker 2: they're like like that, like that.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Lists only fans, Eddie.
- 7:27Speaker 2: That is kind of what they had at the gym. Yeah,
- 7:29Speaker 2: and you see the girl and she's like, I'm losing weight, daddy.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I guess the shaking of the washing machine made them
- 7:35Speaker 2: lose weight.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Dang people, You're going to see like the shake weights.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That was the thing too, And I think if you
- 7:42Speaker 1: use that right though, there was some benefit to a
- 7:44Speaker 1: shake weight because they shook hard. I'm just saying the
- 7:47Speaker 1: same reason you have to engage your core on these
- 7:48Speaker 1: new machines. If you engage something and that you shake it,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and maybe that's what that machine was for, but it
- 7:55Speaker 1: was like a cloth rope.
- 7:56Speaker 2: That went around your butt. I never saw that one anyway.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I just got a trigger from that dude saying you
- 8:01Speaker 1: to do legs, and not trigger because it bothered me
- 8:02Speaker 1: because I know what my legs are, but triggered because dude,
- 8:04Speaker 1: nobody cares about that. And once you get to a
- 8:06Speaker 1: certain age as an adult, you don't really care about
- 8:08Speaker 1: your legs and how big they.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Are or Yeah, that's an underrated part of being an adult.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I feel like it's not caring, especially about your calves,
- 8:15Speaker 4: especially about your cab.
- 8:16Speaker 1: But I did did you guys have a part of
- 8:17Speaker 1: your life where you were conscious of your calves?
- 8:20Speaker 4: Oh? Yes, well until probably three months ago.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Maybe you're just getting out of it.
- 8:24Speaker 4: You don't care. No, definitely a few years ago. I
- 8:28Speaker 4: definitely got past it. But I mean pretty much my
- 8:30Speaker 4: entire life, especially playing football and lifting, and these guys
- 8:33Speaker 4: a big calves and big legs, like, oh man.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I feel like every dude had a stage where they
- 8:36Speaker 1: were obsessed with their calves at some point.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, there's never big enough.
- 8:40Speaker 1: They could have been six months or it could have
- 8:41Speaker 1: been six years, but every dude at some point was
- 8:44Speaker 1: obsessed with their calves, especially in pictures where we have
- 8:46Speaker 1: five dudes in here. Yeah, you were at that point.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I was, for sure to point, I was just embarrassed
- 8:51Speaker 1: of them. So my obsession was I'll try to make
- 8:53Speaker 1: them bigger, or I just won't take a picture.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Where you can see them. Yes, were you ever obsessed
- 8:57Speaker 2: with your cabs? Not really, because my leg my quads
- 8:59Speaker 2: are small, so it was all just like one stick,
- 9:02Speaker 2: what size.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Huge either, But I felt like I could hide the
- 9:06Speaker 1: quad in shorts and shorts.
- 9:08Speaker 2: You were long shorts, you don't only see the quad,
- 9:10Speaker 2: and I never worried about it, just because I knew
- 9:11Speaker 2: they were small, and like, it's just whatever.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Dude, did you ever lift though?
- 9:15Speaker 2: No? In high school, I lifted because it's what everyone did.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And then like after high school college, definitely didn't lift
- 9:21Speaker 2: a weight, not one. Then somewhere like twenties, you know,
- 9:25Speaker 2: I would work out a little bit just because I
- 9:27Speaker 2: knew I had to be healthy. And then probably the
- 9:29Speaker 2: heaviest we've worked out is just like in the last
- 9:31Speaker 2: like two years, you and I. I haven't worked out
- 9:34Speaker 2: in three months because of my ankle.
- 9:36Speaker 4: You're dying.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I finally got back a little bit.
- 9:40Speaker 4: This weekend.
- 9:41Speaker 1: We were staying at this hotel and I just went
- 9:42Speaker 1: down to the gym and I rode the bike for
- 9:44Speaker 1: half an hour. I mean good, I guess in my brain,
- 9:48Speaker 1: yeah exactly, but I've lost all ability to have any
- 9:51Speaker 1: sort of cardio. It was great though, because I didn't
- 9:53Speaker 1: wear a brace on my ankle for the first time,
- 9:55Speaker 1: and I walked all around New York and it was
- 9:57Speaker 1: the first.
- 9:59Speaker 4: I say all around.
- 9:59Speaker 1: It was cold, so we went in a lot of places,
- 10:02Speaker 1: but it was the first time that I haven't been
- 10:04Speaker 1: super conscious of my ankle the whole time.
- 10:07Speaker 4: There were full blocks or I didn't even think about it.
- 10:10Speaker 1: That's good, yeah, and I'd go, whoa, I haven't thought
- 10:12Speaker 1: about my ankle and I haven't heard it because in
- 10:15Speaker 1: the past I walked on it for three minutes after
- 10:17Speaker 1: the surgery.
- 10:17Speaker 4: It would kill me.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So that's the stage I am.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I go to the surgeon on Thursday, and if I
- 10:22Speaker 1: get clear then I get to do some work on it.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I ride the bike because the bike is not impact yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 1: but if I get the clearance from the surgeon this week,
- 10:30Speaker 1: I get to finally do like like some mild jogging
- 10:33Speaker 1: on a treadmill.
- 10:34Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Wherever are you still Pete in it? Yes, I have
- 10:38Speaker 2: that tomorrow. Okay.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I go every week, two times a week, and
- 10:42Speaker 1: it hurts every time because they make it hurt.
- 10:44Speaker 4: How long has it been?
- 10:45Speaker 2: No November right before Thanksgiving?
- 10:48Speaker 4: And did you have any idea because I'm obviously now
- 10:50Speaker 4: because I'm going through right now and I haven't even started, Pete,
- 10:53Speaker 4: but I'm like two and a half weeks in. I'm like,
- 10:55Speaker 4: this has been awful.
- 10:56Speaker 1: It's been It was awful. It was way harder than
- 10:58Speaker 1: I thought I was gonna be. Yes, I told my
- 11:00Speaker 1: wife I'd go into surgery in the next week. I'd
- 11:02Speaker 1: be back.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I'd probably not be able to jog or anything, but
- 11:05Speaker 2: i'd probably back. And I was still on a cart, yeah, scooter.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I was in a boot for three weeks. Yeah.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I definitely didn't pay much attention to it. But they
- 11:14Speaker 1: said if I didn't fix it and then we're gonna
- 11:17Speaker 1: have a baby. I was going to be in a
- 11:20Speaker 1: boot or with a hurt ankle for probably the.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Next See that's where you're smart. Like I can't even
- 11:24Speaker 4: lift my kids and they're the only weigh sixteen pounds
- 11:26Speaker 4: and I can't live.
- 11:27Speaker 2: In absentad but yeah, you can't do one him My.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Wife like she's just doing everything by herself. I'm sit
- 11:32Speaker 4: on the couch, is like you need anything else? Open
- 11:34Speaker 4: a beer. That's it.
- 11:36Speaker 1: It did get me out of a lot of at homework.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Thought the first week and a half I was on
- 11:43Speaker 1: pain pills.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Yeah, where it didn't.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Matter what I did or what I wanted to do.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I couldn't drive, I coudn't do anything. I was out
- 11:50Speaker 1: of it. And then you know, even though she was pregnant,
- 11:54Speaker 1: she had more mobility than I did, so I did
- 11:57Speaker 1: very little, watched a lot of television shows.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Yes, God for football.
- 12:00Speaker 2: So yeah, this first time I had walked your shoulders
- 12:03Speaker 2: doing what like, where are you know?
- 12:05Speaker 4: I am past the first two and a half weeks.
- 12:07Speaker 4: I got four weeks.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Left at the end of the month, and it's just
- 12:09Speaker 2: the the in.
- 12:10Speaker 4: The sling that is.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:11Speaker 4: I start PTE on Wednesday, going twice a week, and
- 12:14Speaker 4: then we go back to or I go back to
- 12:16Speaker 4: the surgeon at the end of the month and hopefully
- 12:18Speaker 4: get out of this sling. What'd you do? I had
- 12:21Speaker 4: a torn rotator cuff surgery just football twelve years ago.
- 12:25Speaker 4: One of those I never got taken care of it.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Them just kept getting worse and it turned into a
- 12:28Speaker 4: full tear. Worst surgery you ever had.
- 12:31Speaker 2: My finger. When I sliced my finger and they said
- 12:35Speaker 2: it was hanging the tendon was hanging by like a thread.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Literally recent last five years, five six years ago. But dude,
- 12:42Speaker 2: you talk about rehab, you don't think about rehabbing a finger. Okay, dude,
- 12:48Speaker 2: stop because.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I already when you said my finger, I was like,
- 12:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna let him talk. Yeah, that's the worst one.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And when you go, we don't understand finger rehab.
- 12:58Speaker 2: So when they had to sew the tendon together, my
- 13:00Speaker 2: finger was straight and I could not bend it. And
- 13:03Speaker 2: they're like, it's gonna be it's gonna be a process
- 13:05Speaker 2: for you to actually make a fist again, and they
- 13:07Speaker 2: weren't kidding, dude. I went in and they would make
- 13:10Speaker 2: a mold and they would make the mold to where
- 13:12Speaker 2: I would curve my finger about like a centimeter, and
- 13:15Speaker 2: then for one week I'd work on that centimeter, bend
- 13:18Speaker 2: it by a centimeter, and then they would move the
- 13:20Speaker 2: mold to about like half an inch, move it half
- 13:22Speaker 2: an inch and I struggled to bend it.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Optioned the movie rights to that.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Sorry, it was torturous, Okay, yeah, you take.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Thanks for granted though, you do when I'm just saying
- 13:34Speaker 4: with my shoulder, like just every day stuff, going to
- 13:36Speaker 4: the bathroom with one one arm, when he at.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Least it's your left arm, though, God. Thanks.
- 13:41Speaker 1: And I was super lucky that it was my left
- 13:43Speaker 1: ankle because I could still drive because I don't have
- 13:46Speaker 1: a standard Yeah, so even though would fit on the
- 13:49Speaker 1: left side so I wouldn't need it.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I was lucky there, even me driving, I usually
- 13:54Speaker 4: drive my left hand and now I got to drive
- 13:56Speaker 4: my right and I don't feel as comfortable, like I
- 13:58Speaker 4: can drive easily. But I don't know. I feel like
- 14:00Speaker 4: if I have to make a quick decision.
- 14:02Speaker 2: You can't do it.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Hope it doesn't happen.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Worse surgery ever had?
- 14:05Speaker 4: Yeah, this is it? Well, No, actually the other one
- 14:08Speaker 4: is I had appendicitis my appendix burst, and that maybe
- 14:13Speaker 4: because I was younger. I was twelve. I think the
- 14:16Speaker 4: recovery and everything just was a lot worse.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Is it as bad as my finger? Nothing is? No,
- 14:23Speaker 2: you can't making movies. Did you get your appendix taken?
- 14:26Speaker 5: Out.
- 14:27Speaker 1: No, No, so my spleen, my spleen probably a little different.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I feel like the is it appendicitis? Yeah, I feel
- 14:35Speaker 1: like that's slightly more common, super dangerous. I'm glad you
- 14:38Speaker 1: didn't die me too.
- 14:39Speaker 2: We're glad you're my parents.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Like two more days he would have died, really like
- 14:42Speaker 4: he's a twelve year old kid with the stomach ache.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Yeah, dang almost yeah, dude.
- 14:47Speaker 4: But I cut them hanging on. You know, that's a
- 14:49Speaker 4: good movie too.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I fell off a house and fell out of my
- 14:54Speaker 1: stomach onto a boat trailer and rupture my spleen.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Almost died.
- 14:57Speaker 2: That whole thing.
- 14:58Speaker 1: That was such a weird I saw scar that goes
- 15:00Speaker 1: from pretty close to the bottom of my sternum all
- 15:03Speaker 1: the way down to like my front of my pubic bone.
- 15:05Speaker 4: How old were you six?
- 15:07Speaker 2: Oh wow, that's a real thing, Brandon. Don't laugh. It's
- 15:10Speaker 2: a medical dude.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Come on, Brandon.
- 15:13Speaker 1: That the annoying thing about my ankle because again, ankle surgery.
- 15:18Speaker 1: It sounds stupid. If you cut off your leg and
- 15:22Speaker 1: you can't use your leg, it's so limiting. Ankle, knee,
- 15:26Speaker 1: anything on a leg. So I was on a scooter
- 15:29Speaker 1: for a while, which was annoying. It was in a boot.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Not I'm sure the arm's tough too, but you have
- 15:35Speaker 2: to walk. Yeah, like the arm you can't okay, you
- 15:38Speaker 2: can't grab things, you can't wipe ye fule. But but yeah, dude, walking, that's.
- 15:43Speaker 1: That's not as bad as the spleen surgery. I've had
- 15:45Speaker 1: a few surgeries, but that one was worse than I
- 15:48Speaker 1: thought because I really didn't respect it because I didn't
- 15:52Speaker 1: think that I wouldn't be able to walk for a while.
- 15:54Speaker 2: I know it's easy to say, like you look at
- 15:55Speaker 2: people right with like two working legs, and you're like, oh,
- 15:58Speaker 2: lucky you have two working I.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Would get so resentful of people just like skipping on television, right,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I'd be like, you.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Don't even know what you're you don't even know what
- 16:04Speaker 2: you got, man, what you think that you think that
- 16:08Speaker 2: when you're going through it? But then like right now
- 16:09Speaker 2: that like, okay, your legs are working now, Like are
- 16:12Speaker 2: you ever going to think of that again?
- 16:13Speaker 4: No?
- 16:13Speaker 1: But I would compare it to whenever you're sick, you're
- 16:16Speaker 1: going Man, I should appreciate when I'm not sick. I mean,
- 16:19Speaker 1: if I just the next time I'm just not sick,
- 16:22Speaker 1: I should just be like life is so good because
- 16:24Speaker 1: you feel so bad when you're sick. Do you have
- 16:26Speaker 1: those moments? Yeah, the next time my throat's not sore,
- 16:29Speaker 1: I'm going to live it up. I'm going to appreciate
- 16:31Speaker 1: it so much. And then your throat's not sore, you
- 16:33Speaker 1: don't think about it. That's not sore, but you know,
- 16:36Speaker 1: I'm trying to really take it in and then I'm starting
- 16:37Speaker 1: to get better.
- 16:37Speaker 4: That's like, I know you've never you've never drink, but
- 16:40Speaker 4: Eddie can probably rely.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Oh, I'm never drinking again.
- 16:42Speaker 4: When you're hungover, and you're just like, I'm never ever
- 16:45Speaker 4: drinking again, like I will. I just I'm sorry, God,
- 16:49Speaker 4: imposed it is like you did that to yourself.
- 16:52Speaker 2: It is due, but you're you're praying to the gods
- 16:54Speaker 2: being like God, I'm telling you right now, messed up.
- 16:58Speaker 2: When you're sick. You didn't really mess up.
- 17:01Speaker 4: You're just like, well, but what he's sick and hungover.
- 17:05Speaker 2: At some points, dude, hang being hungover feels like you're dying, Okay,
- 17:09Speaker 2: but I would say the difference is you know why
- 17:12Speaker 2: and you know it'll be over soon.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Yes, But when you're sick the flu, it's three or
- 17:18Speaker 1: four days of you don't know when you're going to
- 17:20Speaker 1: get better, and the and the gradual climb back from
- 17:23Speaker 1: the flu.
- 17:23Speaker 2: The flu.
- 17:25Speaker 4: It takes sometimes three weeks to get back.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I think COVID was worse than the flu. Covid, the
- 17:31Speaker 2: one I had, the first COVID, the Florida covid.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Dude in Florida.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I got it at the like the peak of COVID.
- 17:39Speaker 2: The people are saying, don't get early peak, like the peak.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I was in the frenzy of the peak of or
- 17:47Speaker 2: it was. It was like right when Tom Hanks and
- 17:50Speaker 2: Eddie got it.
- 17:53Speaker 1: America was just completely sad because Eddie and Tom Hanks
- 17:57Speaker 1: didn't you go to like another country or something.
- 17:59Speaker 5: You go in.
- 18:00Speaker 2: No, Like the news was like Tom, We're all sad,
- 18:03Speaker 2: Like no.
- 18:06Speaker 1: But Eddie had COVID and it was so early in
- 18:08Speaker 1: the process that it was if someone asked COVID, they
- 18:11Speaker 1: could kill you, gotcha. And so we made Eddie stay
- 18:14Speaker 1: home until he tested negative correct.
- 18:17Speaker 2: What we learned later was it could stick a test
- 18:20Speaker 2: positive for like two years. So Eddie stayed home for
- 18:24Speaker 2: I remember, Dude, I would and I would go back
- 18:26Speaker 2: to the doctor every week and be like I need
- 18:28Speaker 2: to take another test, and they're like, you've been here
- 18:30Speaker 2: like every week for what it's gonna test positive, Like
- 18:33Speaker 2: it's going I'm like, will you stick it out of
- 18:34Speaker 2: my butt? I gotta give you anything else, man, stay
- 18:37Speaker 2: away from my nose.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Worst surgery ever had, Mike luckily, just wisdom teeth removal.
- 18:43Speaker 4: So that doesn't really count.
- 18:46Speaker 1: You're lucky, but that sucks because I've had wisdom teeth
- 18:48Speaker 1: taking out.
- 18:48Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I think it counts too. I think if you have
- 18:51Speaker 1: a bad one. I know people that have had wisdom
- 18:53Speaker 1: teeth taken out and it wasn't that bad.
- 18:55Speaker 2: And you have to drink out of a straw for
- 18:57Speaker 2: like a week or some a couple of days, Like,
- 18:59Speaker 2: what's a few days?
- 19:00Speaker 1: I had mine taking it. I got dry sockets really bad.
- 19:04Speaker 5: That's when it gets bad.
- 19:05Speaker 2: That's when it.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it crushed, No I did. I was on like
- 19:09Speaker 1: hydro codone, and I don't take that medicine. It hurts
- 19:12Speaker 1: so really, it hurts so bad.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I was on hydro codone.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I took that medaceine. That messed me up.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I messed me up from my feet were floating
- 19:19Speaker 2: and I got to stop taking this. I would lay
- 19:21Speaker 2: in the bed and my feet would be lifting about
- 19:23Speaker 2: my mouth.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Oh god, that's what I felt before the surgery of
- 19:27Speaker 4: the shoulder.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Did you take the prescribed them out?
- 19:29Speaker 5: Like?
- 19:29Speaker 2: Was that normal for you to feel like that? Yes? Wow,
- 19:32Speaker 2: but I stopped.
- 19:33Speaker 4: I flushed.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I flush. Oh no, you're you're in the movies.
- 19:36Speaker 4: I got off.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I started to like them. I flushed them immediately. Brand surgery.
- 19:42Speaker 5: When I was thirteen and fourteen, I had to have
- 19:44Speaker 5: two surgeries on my foot. I got I have about
- 19:47Speaker 5: six inch screws, two six inch screws in my left foot,
- 19:51Speaker 5: and uh, it was awful and I feel it every
- 19:54Speaker 5: day still.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Yeah, especially because because there's a foreign body in your foot.
- 19:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Is it trouble with metal detectors? Good question? Yeah, thank you.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Like at the airport, sir, you have to go through again?
- 20:08Speaker 4: Good question. There would be, but there's no trouble. Do
- 20:11Speaker 4: you ever like tell them you should check my foot? Yeah? Yeah, okay, guys,
- 20:14Speaker 4: before I go through. You should know.
- 20:17Speaker 2: When I was thirteen and my friend Eddie.
- 20:20Speaker 4: He had a finger rehabs.
- 20:21Speaker 2: It was really hard. She's so brave.

- 21:56Speaker 4: Would you do? I did a whole lot of nothing. Man,
- 21:59Speaker 4: I couldn't do anything. We went to Alabama for a
- 22:00Speaker 4: few days at my uh my wife's family farm down there.
- 22:04Speaker 4: But even then I was just like, I can't do anything.
- 22:06Speaker 4: I have a family farm akers down there.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Is that why you married her?
- 22:11Speaker 4: Yeah? What?
- 22:14Speaker 3: No?
- 22:14Speaker 4: Yeah? So we went down there for a few days.
- 22:15Speaker 4: We had to leave a day early because the kids
- 22:17Speaker 4: got sick too. The babies got sick, so we had
- 22:19Speaker 4: to take off out of there and take them to doctor.
- 22:21Speaker 4: They had some ear infections.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Did they both get sick at the same time?
- 22:25Speaker 4: Same time? Did you get it? I didn't. I got
- 22:27Speaker 4: like a little tickle on my throat, but nothing more
- 22:31Speaker 4: than that.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Did you want to be away from them once they
- 22:33Speaker 1: were sick so you didn't get sick?
- 22:35Speaker 5: Oh?
- 22:35Speaker 4: I was already away from them anyway because my shoulder,
- 22:38Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, you want touching it. I could hardly
- 22:40Speaker 4: play with them, do anything with them. So I was
- 22:42Speaker 4: all right. But nobody else really got Yeah, nobody else
- 22:44Speaker 4: got sick, was just them, And so they're still in
- 22:47Speaker 4: antibiotics now, but they're almost some of them. So it's
- 22:50Speaker 4: been kind of a crappy.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Break on My wife is asleep by ten. I was
- 22:54Speaker 2: sleep by eleven, which years. Yeah, we watched it. We
- 22:57Speaker 2: watched like we can kind of see downtown from our house,
- 23:00Speaker 2: so we watched like the fireworks. It was cool because
- 23:02Speaker 2: we got to see it on TV and in person
- 23:04Speaker 2: because like it was on TV at the same time
- 23:06Speaker 2: while it was happening in person. But uh, we just
- 23:09Speaker 2: did New Years is like there's nothing like the boys
- 23:12Speaker 2: want to stay up. They're excited because, oh we get
- 23:13Speaker 2: to see until midnight, but we don't do anything.
- 23:16Speaker 1: You know what I did over the break that I
- 23:18Speaker 1: haven't done in probably four years. I added friends on Facebook.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Why I don't ever get on Facebook?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Why would you do such a thing, and.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I don't have it on my phone, Like I don't
- 23:30Speaker 1: even have Facebook on my phone.
- 23:31Speaker 2: So like new Friends, I went on to I got.
- 23:36Speaker 1: On my laptop and I went to Facebook, and it
- 23:38Speaker 1: said something like, hey, you need to log in. It
- 23:42Speaker 1: looks like there's been some fishy account. I got one
- 23:44Speaker 1: of those messages. So I went went through and kicked
- 23:47Speaker 1: out whoever was on it, got my page back. It
- 23:50Speaker 1: was very easy, so they must have just I just
- 23:54Speaker 1: got the I got the code, the verification, like the authentication,
- 23:58Speaker 1: and I was like, well, I didn't do this, so
- 24:01Speaker 1: let me go to Facebook. And I couldn't log in,
- 24:02Speaker 1: So I changed my password, got in and I had
- 24:05Speaker 1: like a thousand requests. I hadn't been on Facebook forever,
- 24:08Speaker 1: and so I went through like five or so added
- 24:10Speaker 1: like three friends people that.
- 24:11Speaker 2: I have that yeah, a lot of them. I don't
- 24:16Speaker 2: even maintain a Facebook page.
- 24:17Speaker 1: And so sometimes though it'll post what happens is though
- 24:20Speaker 1: my face, it's linked through my Instagram. So people think
- 24:24Speaker 1: I live an active Facebook life, like the one hundred
- 24:27Speaker 1: people from college, a couple from high school. Because if
- 24:30Speaker 1: I post something on Instagram, it goes through to Facebook,
- 24:33Speaker 1: and it also goes through to threads, so people see
- 24:36Speaker 1: it and think I'm on Facebook, but then they try
- 24:40Speaker 1: to add me.
- 24:41Speaker 2: And I'm not. But I added like three friends on Facebook. Cool,
- 24:43Speaker 2: that's awesome.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Did you message them too or just ad them?
- 24:46Speaker 5: No?
- 24:46Speaker 2: Talk they requested me. I just accepted the invitation.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Okay, okay, I thought you met you added them like,
- 24:51Speaker 4: you're like, you know what, and now I'm going to add
- 24:52Speaker 4: some people too, And you went to three random people.
- 24:54Speaker 4: I didn't go anywhere.
- 24:55Speaker 2: No, I kind of stayed. The thing about Facebook, that's
- 24:59Speaker 2: weird because I did scre a bit through the feed.
- 25:01Speaker 2: People fall for everything on that page. Yeah, because they're
- 25:04Speaker 2: old and older people, and older people fall for.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Things like they had a movie trailer for like Rocky nine.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I guess it wasn't it was like a movie picture,
- 25:17Speaker 1: like an AI picture.
- 25:19Speaker 4: So much on Facebook they're hilarious. I've not it.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Looks you fell for it too. It's not that I
- 25:24Speaker 2: felt for it looked real.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I have a pretty good AII because I use it
- 25:28Speaker 1: so much that I can tell most of the time
- 25:31Speaker 1: when something is AI, especially if it's a computer generated image.
- 25:35Speaker 4: But I saw it.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And I thought Rocky nine. Have they even made eight
- 25:38Speaker 1: and then I started going to Creaky Counts. Yeah, I
- 25:41Speaker 1: was going through Aalboa Balboa's got a count as.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Something and so they're not making it. And as I scrolled,
- 25:48Speaker 2: it was just a lot of fake study.
- 25:49Speaker 1: It was like there was another one on some country
- 25:53Speaker 1: site that my algorithm fed me. On Facebook, it was
- 25:56Speaker 1: like Luke Combs tells Landy Wilson to shove it with
- 25:59Speaker 1: her liberal way.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Wow, and like none of that happened. And then if
- 26:03Speaker 2: you look at the comments, everybody's fired up.
- 26:05Speaker 4: That's what I'm talking exactly what happened.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Ye, They're like I told you, Luke, So I had
- 26:11Speaker 1: a moment on Facebook.
- 26:12Speaker 2: That's fun.
- 26:12Speaker 4: You're gonna go back or are you done? Well?
- 26:16Speaker 1: I don't know that I have interest to go back
- 26:18Speaker 1: other than us talking about it.
- 26:19Speaker 2: But I think I'm still logged in. So if I
- 26:21Speaker 2: go now, you got to get it on your phone,
- 26:23Speaker 2: Like I will not get it on my phone, can
- 26:25Speaker 2: I don't.
- 26:26Speaker 4: I don't value it so much.
- 26:28Speaker 1: And if I get it on my phone, like this
- 26:31Speaker 1: is who my algorithm feeds me because I just haven't
- 26:33Speaker 1: been on it a lot. Tennessee Titans fan club.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Okay, that's you, definitely you. Yeah, number one fan, not me,
- 26:45Speaker 2: j C. Penny Oh wow. I got to add for
- 26:47Speaker 2: jac Penny oh saying if there were any other.
- 26:54Speaker 4: Fosed on there, like yeah, because I haven't had it
- 26:57Speaker 4: in almost ten years. Probably there are.
- 26:59Speaker 2: A few people from my high school that still post.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Like what are you thinking? Like that kind of stuff,
- 27:03Speaker 4: like like their trips, okay pictures, Yeah, people getting back.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Now that's what I'm seeing. I'm oh, here's one.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I take pictures of radio and TV stations, and I
- 27:12Speaker 1: can join and it's just people in a group that
- 27:14Speaker 1: go and take pictures of radio stations and TV stations.
- 27:16Speaker 2: It's literally that, like outside the TV station, it's a tower.
- 27:21Speaker 2: I'm looking at a tower, a radio tower. Here's a
- 27:24Speaker 2: good one. I got liar Layer two, The Whole Truth,
- 27:27Speaker 2: starring Jim Carrey and Miles Teller.
- 27:28Speaker 4: As his son.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and they believe that sounds good. So yeah, I
- 27:36Speaker 1: added that onto my.
- 27:39Speaker 2: So what do you have on your phone? Just like Twitter? Instagram?
- 27:43Speaker 1: No, probably TikTok Twitter, obviously Instagram. I think those are
- 27:49Speaker 1: three that I use the most.
- 27:50Speaker 2: You're still snapchatting?
- 27:51Speaker 4: No, dude, I have a you snapchat?
- 27:54Speaker 1: Have you heard the story about our friend that shared
- 27:56Speaker 1: his penis with the whole group was crazy. He imagined
- 28:01Speaker 1: to just share it with one girl, except he's put
- 28:03Speaker 1: it out on the public line, and he was kind
- 28:06Speaker 1: of a part of us for a while, so he
- 28:09Speaker 1: had some followers and.
- 28:10Speaker 2: He's a picture of his doms everyone.
- 28:13Speaker 4: It was like, I thought it was just to you guys.
- 28:15Speaker 2: No, no, no, he said that he put on the
- 28:16Speaker 2: speed like.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Oh, like his story kind of.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Yes, I haven't been on Snapchat since when I lived
- 28:21Speaker 1: in Brentwood those days, like the first couple of years
- 28:24Speaker 1: we lived here.
- 28:24Speaker 4: That was it mother Brentwood.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I guess we can talk about some sports
- 28:32Speaker 1: that is kind of what we have. I'm rooted for
- 28:35Speaker 1: Old Miss win the national championship now Oregon. I just
- 28:39Speaker 1: think it would be hilarious for Lane Kiffin to leave
- 28:42Speaker 1: Ole Miss and them to win a championship. When Lane
- 28:44Speaker 1: Kiffin left so he could go win a championship somewhere, Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 1: I think that.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Would be hilarious.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I would like to see Ole Miss beat Miami.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I think that'd be a pretty good game. Although I've
- 28:54Speaker 1: bet a thousand bucks on Georgia went the whole thing
- 28:56Speaker 1: and they got beat Indiana.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Looks really good. Oregon looks really good.
- 29:02Speaker 1: It's like that side has the two stronger teams. But
- 29:05Speaker 1: don't I don't think anything anymore. Yeah, who knows, Yeah,
- 29:09Speaker 1: who knows. It's crazy, But I think I'm officially rooting
- 29:12Speaker 1: for ole Miss to win, just because that would be
- 29:14Speaker 1: so funny with Lane Kiffin leaving so he could go
- 29:17Speaker 1: win a national championship because he can't probably win one
- 29:20Speaker 1: of ole Miss and then to win one. Yeah, I
- 29:22Speaker 1: don't think they will because I don't think their offense
- 29:24Speaker 1: and defensive line is strong enough.
- 29:26Speaker 2: But that's what I would like to see.
- 29:27Speaker 4: If you were an assistant coach, do you think you
- 29:29Speaker 4: would want to leave and go to Alie? You know
- 29:32Speaker 4: the whole debacle's going through right now, you would go
- 29:34Speaker 4: to LSU, I think.
- 29:35Speaker 1: But the only one that's getting to stay now with
- 29:37Speaker 1: the next round games is why Junior. Yeah, and I
- 29:41Speaker 1: don't think Lane kifn thinks he's going to even go
- 29:42Speaker 1: to l s U.
- 29:43Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I read today that just Charlie weis junior, which the
- 29:47Speaker 1: pictures of him as a kid on the sideline of
- 29:49Speaker 1: Notre Dame with his dad are really funny because he's
- 29:51Speaker 1: like eleven the headset.
- 29:53Speaker 4: On when a head coach there. Yeah, I haven't seen this.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny because I feel like that that doesn't
- 29:58Speaker 2: feel like that long ago he was the head coach there.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Oh that's just how old is coach? How old is
- 30:04Speaker 1: his son? Us to be pretty young? Thirty two? Okay,
- 30:08Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 30:09Speaker 2: How old is Charlie Weis junior thirty two? Yeah, wow,
- 30:12Speaker 2: that's crazy, dude. I didn't feel like a long time
- 30:14Speaker 2: ego when his dad was the coach.
- 30:15Speaker 4: That is crazy.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's probably twenty years ago.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Ye.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Yeah, now that was a long time ago. Now not
- 30:21Speaker 4: here name.
- 30:22Speaker 2: So what was Shane Biemer? I saw something on TikTok rare.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Shane Biemer was upset because Lane kiff and hired one
- 30:26Speaker 1: of his assistants without calling him. Yeah, because generally what's
- 30:30Speaker 1: supposed to happen is if you're going to hire somebody
- 30:33Speaker 1: from a staff, they won't tell you no. But you
- 30:37Speaker 1: should have like a heads up. You should have the
- 30:39Speaker 1: courtesy to call and go, hey, I want to interview
- 30:42Speaker 1: and hire your guy, because you just want to know
- 30:44Speaker 1: before they come in and go, hey, I'm being I'm
- 30:46Speaker 1: going to leave for another job. So you can start
- 30:48Speaker 1: getting in the process of finding someone in case they leave.
- 30:52Speaker 1: But that's in this business too. Like when I hired
- 30:54Speaker 1: Scuba Steve, I called Ryan Seacrest because he was working
- 30:56Speaker 1: for Ryan. Yeah, he was working for Ryan in a
- 30:58Speaker 1: different position, and I called Ryan, was like, hey, I
- 31:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna interview your guy. I met him once, but
- 31:06Speaker 1: just it's a bigger.
- 31:07Speaker 4: Job than he had with Ryan. And so I think.
- 31:10Speaker 1: That's generally what the that that rule is. But that's
- 31:12Speaker 1: why Beamer was pissed. It was because he didn't get
- 31:15Speaker 1: a call.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Yeah. I like how he's on the podium just saying
- 31:17Speaker 2: all of it.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Yeah, anyway, go Ale miss oh get this. So Fantasy's
- 31:23Speaker 1: over and a big the big money league that I plan.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I had the best team all year.
- 31:28Speaker 4: I gotta buy. I was a number one overall seed.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Got to buy the first week, killed the guy the
- 31:33Speaker 1: next week, and so I went to the championship and
- 31:36Speaker 1: going into the last night, I was up like thirty
- 31:39Speaker 1: four points. I think going into the last game, he
- 31:43Speaker 1: had one player. Can you get who that player was?
- 31:45Speaker 4: McCaffrey.
- 31:46Speaker 2: No, I had McCaffrey that night before he put on
- 31:47Speaker 2: Sunday's Jon.
- 31:52Speaker 5: Half.
- 31:54Speaker 2: That's brutal. That's for the championship.
- 31:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Do you get money for second place?
- 31:58Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 31:58Speaker 2: Okay, good.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I got a few under bole for second place
- 32:00Speaker 1: and get a little something. But I was I never
- 32:03Speaker 1: am for sure of anything, but I thought. I looked
- 32:06Speaker 1: at all of B John's games. His highest he had
- 32:09Speaker 1: a twenty nine point, a twenty nine point. He had
- 32:13Speaker 1: I think maybe a thirty but he needed like thirty
- 32:15Speaker 1: four something to beat me, and he ended up getting
- 32:17Speaker 1: thirty six.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Yeah, fantasy is very frustrating.
- 32:19Speaker 1: He broke a seventy yarder in the first half, seventy
- 32:21Speaker 1: yard touchdown. He scored a touchdown off a pass and
- 32:24Speaker 1: then broke a So that was frustrating. But it's fantasy,
- 32:26Speaker 1: so I don't get super upset about it.
- 32:28Speaker 4: I do. I was number one in both of my
- 32:33Speaker 4: leagues this year, and I lost everything I got buy
- 32:36Speaker 4: in both rounds and then I ended up losing in
- 32:38Speaker 4: the league that were all in together. I got fourth place.
- 32:40Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 32:41Speaker 2: You were the best team all year.
- 32:43Speaker 4: Yeah, and then I played was it signs? Yeah, signed
- 32:46Speaker 4: in for third and Puka remember that catch that he
- 32:48Speaker 4: almost had at the very end on the sideline, and
- 32:50Speaker 4: that would have won me the game.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Oh for third though, yeah for third? Who cares about it?
- 32:55Speaker 2: There's no listen, I feel bad for you. To be
- 32:57Speaker 2: the best team in two leagues and to lose that sucks.
- 33:01Speaker 4: Yeah, frustrated.
- 33:02Speaker 1: I don't even feel that bad for me though, except
- 33:04Speaker 1: for it was thirty. It was like, it's the best
- 33:05Speaker 1: game of all year and I ran into that and
- 33:07Speaker 1: he was the one player left.
- 33:09Speaker 2: I wasn't that frustrated. Had a good season. I think
- 33:12Speaker 2: I lost.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Two games the whole year, plus that final game, and
- 33:15Speaker 1: it was And that's a big money league.
- 33:17Speaker 2: That's fun. It's so crazy. This is the new league,
- 33:20Speaker 2: this league that we're in, the one with the you
- 33:22Speaker 2: know I call that little money league. Yeah, ours, Yeah,
- 33:24Speaker 2: the World Together three. That's a little more. No, no, no, no,
- 33:28Speaker 2: that's not fantasy. Yeah what is that one that's called
- 33:30Speaker 2: a Skins league?
- 33:31Speaker 4: Oh god, you're talking about?
- 33:33Speaker 2: Yes, made me not give a crap about fantasy.
- 33:36Speaker 4: Like so much?
- 33:39Speaker 2: Ye six six guys, like five six thousand dollars.
- 33:43Speaker 4: No, I don't say that.
- 33:46Speaker 2: No, No, there's really not a way. We don't at
- 33:48Speaker 2: this point.
- 33:49Speaker 4: So what point do you?
- 33:51Speaker 2: I might not.
- 33:51Speaker 4: I had a couple pop DM on Instagram like, hey,
- 33:54Speaker 4: you guys need to call it white. I don't think
- 33:58Speaker 4: we could do.
- 33:58Speaker 2: I've given her so much crap about Christmas spending. There's
- 34:01Speaker 2: no way that she can know about this. There's there's
- 34:04Speaker 2: no way she can know about this.
- 34:06Speaker 4: What are you gonna do?
- 34:07Speaker 2: Nothing? I'm just gonna pay it. But she doesn't know.
- 34:10Speaker 2: I thought she ran the mom I have it. I
- 34:11Speaker 2: have an extra side account. No, it's not like that.
- 34:15Speaker 4: It's not like that O every year. It's like this
- 34:18Speaker 4: extracide account.
- 34:19Speaker 2: It's like my draft kings fund, and I have enough
- 34:21Speaker 2: money to cover there.
- 34:22Speaker 4: Hopefully.
- 34:22Speaker 2: If I have to dip into the regular fund, dude,
- 34:24Speaker 2: I'm in trouble now, but it won't look so bad.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I'll just be like, I'm just gonna take a couple
- 34:28Speaker 2: hundred out that.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I oh, Bobby and Kevin, it's this thing we did.
- 34:31Speaker 4: No big deal.
- 34:32Speaker 1: We lost two hundred bus whenever I if I pay
- 34:35Speaker 1: you money to do like a Bobby cast or something.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but that goes into your VENMO. That goes into
- 34:39Speaker 2: my account. Oh it does, yeah a boy? So dude, yes,
- 34:44Speaker 2: got it all that. It's unclaimed money quote unquote what
- 34:50Speaker 2: if you found out she had an account of money
- 34:51Speaker 2: that you didn't know about. Yeah, I'd be upset. Probably
- 34:54Speaker 2: initially I'd be upset, but then once again, dude, we're
- 34:57Speaker 2: human once you get the human story out of it, Like, look,
- 34:59Speaker 2: I really didn't want to. This was part of the podcast.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Is good content. Now we owe three thousand dollars.

- 36:44Speaker 1: Brady is starting to be more douchey. Yeah, I'm getting
- 36:48Speaker 1: us the Patriots.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm getting a little bit like oversaturated or something
- 36:52Speaker 4: with them. It's just too much everything or everywhere.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Now, Like the thing that we as Americans like about
- 36:57Speaker 1: our icons is all the information about them isn't out
- 37:01Speaker 1: all the time and they're not hooking up with influencers.
- 37:03Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, you're talking about the Alex Earl.
- 37:05Speaker 2: That's just one part one thing.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so yeah, New Year's Eve, he was Alex Earl
- 37:09Speaker 1: and who knows what he was with, but she, her
- 37:10Speaker 1: hands were all her hands were like rubbing his back
- 37:12Speaker 1: and stuff. Where that's not just somebody you just met.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure, she was very comfortable with him, very comfortable. Yeah,
- 37:20Speaker 4: whether or not he was giving it back, probably not
- 37:23Speaker 4: in public. He definitely wasn't. But yeah, she was very comfortable.
- 37:25Speaker 2: What are you guys upset about?
- 37:27Speaker 1: No, not upset. I just wonder is it tarnishing his
- 37:30Speaker 1: icon status? Because when he was the best, it wasn't
- 37:34Speaker 1: like he was all over social media. You didn't know,
- 37:36Speaker 1: you didn't know much about him other than he won,
- 37:40Speaker 1: and that was pretty much all we knew was he played,
- 37:43Speaker 1: he won, he was great, he's a champion, he's a
- 37:46Speaker 1: good looking that's it. A little bit about his wife, Giselle, supermodel,
- 37:50Speaker 1: stays private doesn't put his kids on the internet a lot.
- 37:54Speaker 1: But now there's a couple of things. One, he is
- 37:57Speaker 1: associated with the Raiders and they suck, and I think
- 38:01Speaker 1: that hurts him a little bit. Now he can dig
- 38:04Speaker 1: his way out. But it's like Michael Jordan with the Wizards.
- 38:08Speaker 1: He started to go, well, maybe this guy isn't the
- 38:11Speaker 1: all knowing. So there's that, and it's unfair. He's only
- 38:15Speaker 1: been there one year, but they are terrible. They have
- 38:17Speaker 1: the number one pick. They're the worst team in the NFL.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I thought they're one pick next year.
- 38:21Speaker 4: There's that.
- 38:21Speaker 1: There's let's say Alex Earl, There's Sophia Vergara. There's all
- 38:25Speaker 1: these chicks he's been rumored to be with. Look have
- 38:28Speaker 1: at it.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Yeah he's single, right, but.
- 38:30Speaker 1: The more so, we're not judging him for that. But
- 38:32Speaker 1: the more we know about it, the more it seems
- 38:34Speaker 1: like he's just a TMZ guy. And then he's on
- 38:37Speaker 1: a boat with DiCaprio that he went on with DiCaprio
- 38:41Speaker 1: and all those.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Guys the pictures and again, have at it.
- 38:44Speaker 1: But yeah, it makes him seem like a TMZ guy
- 38:47Speaker 1: more than an iconic NFL quarterback.
- 38:49Speaker 4: Because that could be like he knows what he's doing. Obviously,
- 38:53Speaker 4: everything he does is very calculated, always has been and
- 38:56Speaker 4: always will be. So I feel like everything he's doing
- 38:58Speaker 4: now in the public is on purpose.
- 39:00Speaker 2: So the boat is like, hey, I know I'm gonna
- 39:02Speaker 2: be these pictures are going to get out. I mean,
- 39:04Speaker 2: there's a yacht and he's out there with DiCaprio. Their
- 39:06Speaker 2: pictures aren't close, but you probably think there's a chance
- 39:12Speaker 2: that it's going to be seen by someone. He's probably
- 39:14Speaker 2: just like, screw it, man, Like, let people think whatever
- 39:16Speaker 2: they want to think. I'm living my best life.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I'm sure he is. But it does affect how people
- 39:21Speaker 1: feel about him. I mean, you're a massive Patriots fan.
- 39:23Speaker 1: I just wondered if you thought he was a little
- 39:25Speaker 1: more douchey.
- 39:25Speaker 4: Now, yeah, I do, even when he went to the
- 39:29Speaker 4: I mean same with Belichick and his girl, Like, it's
- 39:31Speaker 4: just not the same anymore. In my eyes, the more you.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Know about somebody, the more douche they are, because we
- 39:36Speaker 1: generally are just flawed humans, right, And we didn't know
- 39:40Speaker 1: that much about Belichick or Brady, but that made us
- 39:43Speaker 1: respect them because all we knew them for was winning.
- 39:45Speaker 4: Yeah, and you let your imagination be like, you know what,
- 39:48Speaker 4: they're great people too. All they do is win and
- 39:50Speaker 4: they don't like get in the spotlight and they don't
- 39:52Speaker 4: get in trouble. They're great people, great people. And then
- 39:54Speaker 4: now you see more and more and you're like.
- 39:56Speaker 2: They're just people like people.
- 39:58Speaker 4: Sang it.
- 39:58Speaker 1: He's just like me, except way Richard are better looking
- 40:01Speaker 1: at some of the influencer better throwing football in DiCaprio.
- 40:04Speaker 4: This couple couple things.
- 40:05Speaker 2: What about Gronk is he ruining for you?
- 40:08Speaker 4: No, Gronks because he's always been like that. I feel
- 40:10Speaker 4: like he's always been in the spotlight, even when they
- 40:12Speaker 4: lost Super Bowl back in the day. Who's at a party?
- 40:14Speaker 2: And he's always been known for being an idiot.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Yeah, if he was Gronk the educated because he played
- 40:21Speaker 1: who was like this guy just studies his playbook, always
- 40:24Speaker 1: knows what's up.
- 40:25Speaker 2: And he wasn't even it wasn't an idiot.
- 40:26Speaker 1: But he's just more of a version of what we
- 40:29Speaker 1: were already being fed of him. We're getting a different
- 40:32Speaker 1: feeding of Tom Brady.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Yeah, completely different, but again it's TMZ guy.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and we don't like our world class athletes to
- 40:37Speaker 1: be TMZ guy, which is why all of the athletes
- 40:40Speaker 1: from nineties, eighties, seventies, they still remain godlike because there's
- 40:45Speaker 1: not all this extra information out about them because they're
- 40:47Speaker 1: old now or they're dead, yep. And we would only
- 40:50Speaker 1: see them when they were doing the thing they were
- 40:52Speaker 1: great at, not when they were doing the things that
- 40:54Speaker 1: probably make them look different.
- 40:56Speaker 4: And that's why I wonder, like, with this social media
- 40:58Speaker 4: age in the last ten plus years, like now that's
- 41:01Speaker 4: only we're going to know is these athletes and their
- 41:03Speaker 4: private life or whatever they choose to put on there.
- 41:06Speaker 4: You know, like there won't be that Tom Brady before
- 41:08Speaker 4: social media, where he's a great player.
- 41:10Speaker 2: But I was already lived in that time where he
- 41:12Speaker 2: didn't share even though.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I always that was a patriot thing too. I
- 41:17Speaker 4: don't know as soon as he left there he went
- 41:18Speaker 4: to the Bucks, became like this outgoing with talk during
- 41:21Speaker 4: press conferences, and then he retired and then became part
- 41:25Speaker 4: of the media and all that, and he's built since then.
- 41:27Speaker 4: But I always just wonder that a patriot thing. But
- 41:28Speaker 4: at the same time, Belichick he's embraced it. But that's
- 41:31Speaker 4: because of a twenty three year old girlfriend. Yeah, that's weird.
- 41:34Speaker 4: I saw another thing about them on TMZ.
- 41:36Speaker 2: It's her.
- 41:37Speaker 1: It was her talking about haters talking about Yeah. Oh boy,
- 41:44Speaker 1: I didn't see that her and Belichick.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Oh man, Yeah, Cowboys they're done now done. I didn't
- 41:52Speaker 2: watch the game. They lost. Cool. Cool, better draft Giants,
- 41:58Speaker 2: better draft pick. I mean happy it's over. Yeah, yeah,
- 42:02Speaker 2: the torch is over. We get to kind of just
- 42:04Speaker 2: watch football now for fun. The playoffs are going to
- 42:07Speaker 2: be exciting just to watch the playoffs. Yeah, that's fine, dude,
- 42:11Speaker 2: it's fine. Diggs went to the Packers. I feel like
- 42:13Speaker 2: the Packers are taking all the Cowboys. But whatever, Uh,
- 42:16Speaker 2: we didn't want him anyway. We dropped him, cut him
- 42:18Speaker 2: and cut him. So the Packers picked him up.
- 42:20Speaker 4: I released him. I guess. Yeah. Has that been just
- 42:23Speaker 4: sour for a year to.
- 42:27Speaker 5: No?
- 42:27Speaker 2: I mean he played a few games this year. It's
- 42:29Speaker 2: just like then he got hurt and then it's like
- 42:31Speaker 2: is he coming back? And there's he would come out
- 42:33Speaker 2: and say I'm ready to play, but they're not playing
- 42:35Speaker 2: me for some reason. Then he played and he was terrible.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Then they sat him again, then they cut him. Who knows,
- 42:40Speaker 2: but yeah, dude, it was whatever's get this year's over?
- 42:44Speaker 2: Move on It's like I think Kevin said on the
- 42:47Speaker 2: the text thread, like football couldn't en any suitor, Like.
- 42:50Speaker 4: Oh yeah, we just have a big bill to pay.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, dude, that's only going to get bigger
- 42:56Speaker 2: from our stupid league. This year was a bad year
- 42:58Speaker 2: for football for two of our first and second place
- 43:02Speaker 2: teams that we drafted in our league, both at injured
- 43:04Speaker 2: quarterbacks and bill Chiefs and Bengals. I was watching the
- 43:09Speaker 2: freaking Bengals lost to again this week with their quarterback.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I know, with their quarterback, but Miles Garrett got his record?
- 43:15Speaker 4: Who care for him?
- 43:17Speaker 2: Who cares?
- 43:19Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 43:19Speaker 2: Being sarcastic, I know it was stupid.
- 43:21Speaker 4: Did you see who's the Bengals Zach Taylor? He was
- 43:24Speaker 4: a little upset that they stopped the game to celebrate.
- 43:26Speaker 1: It was so brief though, when they stopped the game.
- 43:28Speaker 1: I was watching the game and I watched one because
- 43:30Speaker 1: Burrow kind of fell. It really wasn't a big sack,
- 43:33Speaker 1: but it was kind of slid down, and I also
- 43:37Speaker 1: thought he wasn't gonna get it because it was the
- 43:39Speaker 1: fourth quarter. I think by the time that sack happened
- 43:42Speaker 1: and the Bengals were needing a score to win the game,
- 43:46Speaker 1: and so they were constantly running away from Miles Garrett.
- 43:50Speaker 4: I didn't think it would happen.
- 43:51Speaker 1: And then it was just like Burrow fell and Miles
- 43:54Speaker 1: Garrett tapped him, and then Miles Garrett did the prey hands.
- 43:56Speaker 1: All the team jumped on for a second, but they
- 43:58Speaker 1: got back at it pretty quick.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Yeah. I thought it really wasn't that long at a thing.
- 44:02Speaker 4: It wasn't like an NBA thing where they literally stopped
- 44:04Speaker 4: the old thing. Yeah.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Out what was the college game that never ended? The
- 44:10Speaker 2: is it Ohio State?
- 44:11Speaker 1: I saw the.
- 44:14Speaker 2: No name basketball coach charged the ref.
- 44:15Speaker 1: But that's what I saw that that was the ole.
- 44:18Speaker 4: Miss Georgia, the very end Ordian you ever.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Ended, because they kept saying there was a time left
- 44:24Speaker 2: on the clock. And after everyone, they brought out the
- 44:26Speaker 2: stage and everything that they're gonna have to remove the stag.
- 44:29Speaker 2: They did it two times where like okay, then they
- 44:32Speaker 2: pulled the stage back out. They looked at reviewed it.
- 44:35Speaker 2: They did they said, okay, games over, they brought it out. No, no,
- 44:38Speaker 2: games not over. They moved the stage back out.
- 44:40Speaker 5: This coach was so pissed off.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Yeah, they were like, just just just let it run.
- 44:44Speaker 2: It's over, Games over, let it runs. Yeah, the interim,
- 44:49Speaker 2: there's a football, football basketball football.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's at the very end. When they got the
- 44:55Speaker 4: on side kick and there was like one second I.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Turned it off because the game was over. Yeah, it
- 45:00Speaker 2: was hilarious.
- 45:01Speaker 4: He made the right decisions.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Thought it was an onside kick and uh ole Miss
- 45:09Speaker 2: was No, it was Georgia. Georgia was trying to get
- 45:12Speaker 2: it back and ole Miss was not touching the ball.
- 45:14Speaker 2: So Georgia touched it. And that's the case, like.
- 45:18Speaker 4: No time comes off the clock.
- 45:19Speaker 2: No time comes off the clock, so they touch it.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Games over, No, it's not you know what I changed it.
- 45:24Speaker 1: It was when they threw the backward pass they went
- 45:27Speaker 1: out of bounds. They called it a safety, yes, and
- 45:29Speaker 1: then I looked at the score and I saw the
- 45:31Speaker 1: replaces after that, but I was like, who cares, It
- 45:32Speaker 1: doesn't matter that all happened.
- 45:33Speaker 4: After that happened. They had to kick it after the safety. Yeidee.
- 45:38Speaker 2: There was even ice on the field that like, I
- 45:39Speaker 2: get the ice off the field, like from the gatorade. Yeah,
- 45:42Speaker 2: I changed it. I was pissed, got lost much money. Yeah, yeah, yeah, stupid,
- 45:46Speaker 2: But that Notre Dame. Was that was that was crazy.
- 45:48Speaker 2: He was about to kill the ref. Yeah, four point play.
- 45:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that foul was pretty bad. It was terrible.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Yeah it was bad. Yeah, yeah, it's bad. They didn't
- 45:55Speaker 1: spend the coach, so I thought the should have suspended
- 45:56Speaker 1: the coach.
- 45:57Speaker 4: They didn't.
- 45:57Speaker 2: I don't think they didn't do anything. They stopped and
- 45:59Speaker 2: it wasn't. It doesn't matter, not even like nothing happened. Dude,
- 46:04Speaker 2: he was she was goin to kill him, but thankfully
- 46:07Speaker 2: nothing happened. He was a thick fella.
- 46:10Speaker 4: He was Yeah.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that belly was coming out of the shirt. It's crazy.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Yeah, he was pit Like.
- 46:16Speaker 2: What I wondered when I because I didn't watch that live,
- 46:18Speaker 2: I watched it live.
- 46:19Speaker 4: You did.
- 46:20Speaker 1: What I wondered when watching it was what would have
- 46:22Speaker 1: happened if they would have just let him go?
- 46:24Speaker 2: He would have killed the ref and he wouldn't have
- 46:26Speaker 2: literally killed him. The ref was so funny too. He's like, oh, oh,
- 46:29Speaker 2: you're talking to me, and then just kept on walking
- 46:32Speaker 2: it like just non chalant, off even more yeah, probably
- 46:36Speaker 2: just like and then like all his assistants grabbed him, like, hey,
- 46:39Speaker 2: come on, coach, come on, coach. Whatever, they you still
- 46:41Speaker 2: have to say like good, good game, you have to
- 46:42Speaker 2: do the good game line.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I have a friend that's a sec ref. I
- 46:47Speaker 1: think he's the head of the sc refs, and so
- 46:49Speaker 1: I went to he was reffing an Arkansas game, which
- 46:54Speaker 1: he hates doing because he's from Arkansas. And my theory
- 46:58Speaker 1: is he's even harder on our saw because he knows
- 47:00Speaker 1: people know he's from Arkansas, so he has to be
- 47:03Speaker 1: even harder on them, so people don't think he's giving them.
- 47:05Speaker 2: The benefit of the doubt at all.
- 47:08Speaker 1: And so when the game was over, as soon as
- 47:11Speaker 1: the game's over, you've seen them all get out. They
- 47:13Speaker 1: get out immediately and they go to a dressing room
- 47:15Speaker 1: that's nowhere near any other dressing room. It's like a closet.
- 47:18Speaker 1: They get dressed so quick and they shoot out through
- 47:21Speaker 1: another side entrance and they and I went up with them,
- 47:23Speaker 1: and they go out in elevator that's the back of
- 47:25Speaker 1: the building and they're out the back door.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Do they have security with him or anything? And it's
- 47:28Speaker 2: just them.
- 47:28Speaker 4: There was no.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Security with us, and I was walking out with them,
- 47:34Speaker 1: but it was very it was very hastily maneuvered. Yeah,
- 47:37Speaker 1: Like they they immediately went out went to this room
- 47:39Speaker 1: that didn't look like a dressing room, by the way,
- 47:41Speaker 1: it was just like a.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Conference type room. They switched their clothes quick. Uh huh,
- 47:46Speaker 2: that's crazy. They switched their clothes quick. They weren't running.
- 47:49Speaker 4: They talked to each other.
- 47:50Speaker 2: You know, they're they're talking. They're not like running. They're
- 47:52Speaker 2: not scared.
- 47:52Speaker 1: There wasn't even controversial game. The Notre Dame coach wasn't
- 47:55Speaker 1: try to beat him up or again. But because of that,
- 47:59Speaker 1: they change the clothes. Yes, and they go up.
- 48:01Speaker 2: They went up the elevator and hopped out like an
- 48:03Speaker 2: entrance that's not a real entrance. And their cars are
- 48:06Speaker 2: right there and they boom and they get out. That's cool.
- 48:07Speaker 1: It's just so nobody. It's just their general mode of operations,
- 48:11Speaker 1: so nobody kind of like them.
- 48:12Speaker 4: The chain gang.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Same. We get special parking and all that.
- 48:15Speaker 4: In the rest of the locker room too.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Or no, no, we park right by the gate.
- 48:19Speaker 4: He missed the season, Yes I do.
- 48:22Speaker 2: The Chiefs are now losing to the Raiders nine to six.
- 48:24Speaker 4: Oh my god, that's just the Patriots. They're up thirty
- 48:27Speaker 4: one ten. We're good. That game is good.
- 48:30Speaker 2: But how much time left in the Chiefs thirteen minutes
- 48:34Speaker 2: in the fourth. Okay, that's good.
- 48:35Speaker 4: Six to nine, there's a chance.
- 48:37Speaker 2: It's good. They've scored.
- 48:38Speaker 4: They have six points.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Who's their quarterback? I don't even know who that is?
- 48:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, olid Achin and Aidan O'Connell is the Raiders quarterback.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Oh wow, right now, Aidan O'Connor has sixty five yards
- 48:50Speaker 1: passing in the fourth and Holidakin whatever name it has
- 48:53Speaker 1: fifty eight yards passing.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Wow, good for you go. The lead receiver is for
- 48:58Speaker 2: the Chiefs is no Ahgree with thirty yards.
- 49:00Speaker 4: It's okay, it's Kel's even playing. Probably not right. They're
- 49:03Speaker 4: going to lose. We're gonna lose that money too.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Man.
- 49:06Speaker 4: I saw a replay of a game the other day
- 49:08Speaker 4: and it was the Chiefs last year against I don't
- 49:10Speaker 4: know who. They were like fifteen and one. I'm like, oh,
- 49:13Speaker 4: they were winning all those close games.
- 49:15Speaker 2: That's what we thought it was going to happen this year.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Miles Garrett sets the sack record in season.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Uh.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Cam Little kicked the second longest field goal ever, sixty
- 49:24Speaker 1: eight sixty No, sixty eight was the longest. Okay, sixty
- 49:27Speaker 1: seven was today, I believe Yeah.
- 49:29Speaker 4: Wow.
- 49:30Speaker 1: The day after Yeah, here's the thing. We have to
- 49:33Speaker 1: stop with these balls because every kick now it's long.
- 49:36Speaker 2: The shaving them and well, they get them at the
- 49:38Speaker 2: beginning of the year, rub them down so they get
- 49:40Speaker 2: to beat them up.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Yeah, they're the kicker balls.
- 49:44Speaker 1: It used to be where you would get them weak
- 49:45Speaker 1: of the game and there's only so much you can
- 49:47Speaker 1: do to those balls. Now you get them at the
- 49:49Speaker 1: beginning of the year, so yeah, you can put the.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Microwave, wrap them up and foil for a little bit.
- 49:54Speaker 1: The kicks are so long, and it's the combination of that.
- 49:58Speaker 1: The kicks are now longer because the ball are made
- 50:00Speaker 1: for easier, better kicks. It's that and combine it with
- 50:04Speaker 1: the ball is placed further up the field now because
- 50:06Speaker 1: of the new kickoff rule.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Correct that you're right, it's a twenty yard it's your place.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Yep. When we saw the Browns and the Bengals and
- 50:13Speaker 1: the Browns be the Bengals, you just know the ball
- 50:15Speaker 1: is going to be started thirty to thirty five, two passes.
- 50:19Speaker 1: You got to go kicker, right, yeah, cam Little you
- 50:21Speaker 1: don't even need to get to the fifty.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Is rubbing those balls down like that much of a
- 50:27Speaker 2: different is that really, Like, that's crazy how they figured
- 50:30Speaker 2: that out. If that guy with half a foot who
- 50:32Speaker 2: played for the Saints, if he would have known that
- 50:34Speaker 2: gun it's eighty yards.
- 50:36Speaker 1: But they didn't have time to do that because they
- 50:38Speaker 1: got the balls at the beginning of the game.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Week they did do that. They tried in the sixties,
- 50:43Speaker 2: well at least before this year. When was that guy
- 50:45Speaker 2: that guy the sixties right.
- 50:47Speaker 4: Back, They probably got the ball like right before the game.
- 50:50Speaker 2: They only had one game, one ball for the game. Yeah, yeah,
- 50:52Speaker 2: I think they used the same every player.
- 50:55Speaker 4: You get it.
- 50:56Speaker 2: That kick with what sixty five?
- 50:58Speaker 4: Oh, I don't remember.
- 51:00Speaker 2: I feel like that was sixty one, dude, Like I
- 51:01Speaker 2: think like sixty one was like wow, that was the
- 51:03Speaker 2: record for a long time.
- 51:05Speaker 1: Tom Dempsey, that's him set the record a sixty three
- 51:08Speaker 1: year yardfield goal in nineteen seventy.
- 51:11Speaker 2: And you imagine all the kickers then being like, that's
- 51:13Speaker 2: not fair. The dude has half a foot.
- 51:14Speaker 1: He was born without toes on his kicking foot, and
- 51:16Speaker 1: he used a custom shoe.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Do you ever see it? His laces were on the heel.
- 51:20Speaker 1: It's like if you saw the sprinter with robotic legs. Yeah,
- 51:23Speaker 1: you're like that ain't fair. I wonder if they felt
- 51:24Speaker 1: that way about dimpt.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Kevin. He would lace him like behind. The laces were
- 51:30Speaker 2: like back in the back of the shoe.
- 51:32Speaker 1: His legendary kick beat the Detroit Lion, setting a record
- 51:34Speaker 1: the SIP for forty three years and highlighted his incredible
- 51:36Speaker 1: feet of playing in the NFL with a physical disability.
- 51:38Speaker 4: Oh he's a big boy too, do He used to kick?
- 51:41Speaker 2: How you kick?
- 51:41Speaker 4: I know, Charlie Brown.
- 51:42Speaker 2: Charlie Brown straight.
- 51:46Speaker 1: He was born with that toes on his right foot
- 51:49Speaker 1: and born with that fingers on his right hand.
- 51:51Speaker 4: Oh, I'll try to see right here in this picture.
- 51:53Speaker 2: So okay, So yeah, but you feel bad now, Yeah,
- 51:56Speaker 2: that's tough man the hand.
- 51:58Speaker 4: Yeah, Eddie knows what that's about.
- 52:00Speaker 2: No, I know this truck. Maybe that's why he felt
- 52:03Speaker 2: that way. Every rehab was tough. Jim Abbott. Yes, he
- 52:08Speaker 2: would kind of just like hold the glove right.
- 52:10Speaker 1: Like just put it like on his shoulder and the
- 52:14Speaker 1: bend of his arm, and he would throw in his
- 52:16Speaker 1: hand would go right into it.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Yeah, he was born without a right hand. That's amazing.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Hit a ten year major league baseball career, he pitched
- 52:23Speaker 1: a no hitter for the Yankees in nineteen ninety three,
- 52:26Speaker 1: and he would throw Do you remember Jim Abbit at all?
- 52:28Speaker 4: No, I've seen the pictures obviously, but amazing. I don't
- 52:32Speaker 4: know if I don't remember watching him.
- 52:34Speaker 1: At all, I do, yeah, same, And he it wasn't
- 52:38Speaker 1: a big deal because he just existed.
- 52:40Speaker 2: I mean, he was just awesome or good. And just
- 52:44Speaker 2: the fact that you couldn't see him put his hand
- 52:46Speaker 2: in the glove like you can see it. Well, it
- 52:48Speaker 2: was just like one motion. I was like, whoa, yeah,
- 52:50Speaker 2: and then it was ready to go.
- 52:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's crazy.
- 52:53Speaker 1: And if they hit it back to him, he would
- 52:54Speaker 1: catch it and then he would take What he would
- 52:57Speaker 1: do is he would then put his glove like in
- 52:58Speaker 1: his arm, pull out out his hand, take the ball
- 53:01Speaker 1: out of the glove, and throw it.
- 53:02Speaker 4: That's too much, that's crazy.
- 53:04Speaker 2: He did all the time on comebackers. Wasn't a big
- 53:07Speaker 2: deal at all. It was just natural.
- 53:08Speaker 1: He'd catch it, boom, put his glove, pull it off
- 53:11Speaker 1: with the other arm, take the.
- 53:12Speaker 4: Ball out of it and throw it. God, that's amazing.
- 53:14Speaker 4: That was awesome.
- 53:15Speaker 2: I saw a coach one of my kids basketball games.
- 53:18Speaker 2: He was he was missing two legs and one arm
- 53:24Speaker 2: missing out, couldn't find him. He didn't Oh he was
- 53:26Speaker 2: maybe born without him either that or lost some whatever,
- 53:30Speaker 2: don't know. But he only had one arm and he
- 53:32Speaker 2: was in a wheelchair coaching, coaching and moving, you know,
- 53:35Speaker 2: with the with the one hand, like moving the wheel
- 53:37Speaker 2: back and forth, and like, I just thought, like, that's
- 53:40Speaker 2: amazing that, Like if I lost all that, I'd be like,
- 53:43Speaker 2: I'm done.
- 53:43Speaker 1: I made the mistake of telling my wife when she
- 53:46Speaker 1: was starting to get pregnant. I was like, man, if
- 53:48Speaker 1: I was pregnant like that, I'd never leave the house.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Oh, you're pregnant like that, dude, she said.
- 53:56Speaker 1: She was like a, like she was starting to get bigger,
- 53:59Speaker 1: and she was like this is weird. And I was like,
- 54:02Speaker 1: you're handling that awesome, because if I was pregnant like that,
- 54:04Speaker 1: I would never.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Leave the house.
- 54:06Speaker 5: Dude.
- 54:07Speaker 2: That's why did you even think about saying that? You
- 54:10Speaker 2: didn't think, Yeah.
- 54:11Speaker 1: There was no thinking about yeah, very little thinking. It
- 54:15Speaker 1: gets brought up a lot now. I didn't mean it
- 54:17Speaker 1: like that. What I meant was I'm so insecure that
- 54:21Speaker 1: I would be like, oh.
- 54:23Speaker 2: And I was trying to say it as a compliment,
- 54:25Speaker 2: like look, how brave you. Yeah, right right.
- 54:31Speaker 4: On Strong.
- 54:33Speaker 2: I don't have the strength to go out like that.
- 54:35Speaker 2: I wouldn't do that.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Okay, I think that's it. Anything else you guys have.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I do want to say something to Kevin. Yeah, you
- 54:43Speaker 1: can't take credit for whenever you claimed your favorite teams
- 54:48Speaker 1: player is the MVP, even if he wins it if
- 54:51Speaker 1: you were fighting for somebody that's not your favorite team. Okay,
- 54:54Speaker 1: but you were like, Drake May should be the MVP.
- 54:55Speaker 1: But you're only saying that the whole time because that's
- 54:57Speaker 1: your favorite team.
- 54:58Speaker 4: No, but I said he's You're talking about the Josh Allen.
- 55:00Speaker 1: I'm talking about period this whole year where you're like,
- 55:02Speaker 1: Drake May should be the MVP. The you would say that,
- 55:04Speaker 1: You would say that, yeah, and he might because he's
- 55:06Speaker 1: the MVP. But you were only saying that because you
- 55:09Speaker 1: were a fan. Now and now it makes more sense.
- 55:11Speaker 1: But you can't go back like you were some great prognosticator.
- 55:14Speaker 4: I said, he's the second coming on Josh Allen.
- 55:16Speaker 1: You did say that, Yeah, but you wouldn't have said
- 55:19Speaker 1: that had the Patriots not been your favorite team.
- 55:21Speaker 2: That was a big part of why you were saying that. Point.
- 55:24Speaker 4: I don't know. If it was a team that I hated,
- 55:29Speaker 4: definitely not you wouldn't say that. I wouldn't say that.
- 55:31Speaker 4: But if the team that I didn't really care about,
- 55:33Speaker 4: then you wouldn't.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Even care to talk about the MVP, is my point,
- 55:35Speaker 1: because it's your guy. You were just constantly Yeah, I.
- 55:38Speaker 4: Mean turned out to be right.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Yeah, which, and he may not win it.
- 55:44Speaker 4: He may win it, yeah, he may Yeah, Yeah, I
- 55:46Speaker 4: think I think he probably He's probably gonna win it,
- 55:48Speaker 4: which I didn't expect even just a couple of weeks ago.
- 55:50Speaker 4: But Stafford's falling off here.
- 55:51Speaker 2: But yeah, that that Falcon the game was bad.
- 55:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I could see where you're coming from.
- 55:57Speaker 4: But at the same time, I'm like.
- 55:59Speaker 2: No, I'm coming from the exact right spot. Would you
- 56:03Speaker 2: say it? But what would you say it if it
- 56:04Speaker 2: was not your team? No, he wouldn't have.
- 56:07Speaker 4: Been saying it the who He wouldn't have said not
- 56:08Speaker 4: the whole time, but the last month or so.
- 56:10Speaker 2: You would say it?
- 56:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I would, I would say it. Yeah, But like
- 56:13Speaker 4: I said, if it was a team that I didn't like,
- 56:15Speaker 4: say if it was Brock Purtty.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Because I'm just not believing anything. You're saying at this
- 56:17Speaker 1: point because you were just saying it because he's your guy. Yeah,
- 56:21Speaker 1: that would be like for a cub Or, a razorback
- 56:23Speaker 1: to win, Yeah, the coach of the year if.
- 56:25Speaker 4: But it's also because, like obviously I watched them every week, right,
- 56:29Speaker 4: It's like, if you don't watch somebody every week, you
- 56:31Speaker 4: have no idea how good they really are. So I
- 56:33Speaker 4: feel like I was watching them every week and watching
- 56:35Speaker 4: how good he was playing, and people still don't realize
- 56:38Speaker 4: how great he's playing right now. I don't know, and
- 56:40Speaker 4: here we are at the end.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Of the year, MVP. So you were right technically, though,
- 56:43Speaker 2: I guess if he does get it.
