UMD Chancellor Takes Over Crookston | Duluth News
Starting January 1, Charles Nies, current chancellor of UMD, will also lead Crookston as interim chancellor — a move set to last 18 months while he continues his duties at UMD. This follows Mary Holz-Clause’s retirement at the end of the year after leading Crookston since 2017. Nies plans to visit Crookston this fall to prepare for the transition and expressed confidence in the campus’s leadership team.
