- 0:21Speaker 1: It is a whatever you want to talk about Wednesday
- 0:23Speaker 1: here on steuc Gootson Company eight seven, seven ninety nine
- 0:26Speaker 1: on Fox.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Mikey A is laughing already.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I keep trying to get this off the ground every
- 0:31Speaker 1: single Wednesday. Whatever you want to talk about Wednesday, And
- 0:34Speaker 1: I am making a pledge to the callers. I don't
- 0:36Speaker 1: care what we're talking about. I will stop whatever it
- 0:39Speaker 1: is we're talking about to take your phone call and
- 0:42Speaker 1: talk about what you want to talk about.
- 0:44Speaker 3: How about that.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Rolls right off the tongue. Whatever you want to talk
- 0:46Speaker 4: about Wednesday.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. We start in
- 0:50Speaker 1: a very strange place today. I'm very excited for today's show.
- 0:54Speaker 1: We have Tim Kirchin and Hogdale on in nour number two,
- 0:57Speaker 1: but we start in the strangest of place.
- 1:00Speaker 3: This is a place I've never started before.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Akron ohioh Lebron tok, yeah, I'm gonna take it from here.
- 1:07Speaker 5: No, no, no, I'll take that ball. I'll take that
- 1:09Speaker 5: ball right back from you.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Yeah. Thanks.
- 1:11Speaker 5: Is there anything Akron can do to interest you guys
- 1:15Speaker 5: in some Zips football this year?
- 1:17Speaker 6: Not really?
- 1:18Speaker 3: Is that the home of Jason Taylor, by the way.
- 1:20Speaker 4: That's where he went to school. Yeah, yeah, Akron Zips.
- 1:24Speaker 3: No, I don't think so far. Nothing.
- 1:26Speaker 5: So that's exactly what Akron thought, and they said the
- 1:29Speaker 5: ante must be upped this season. Right, So, what Akron
- 1:34Speaker 5: did is they introduced a new promotion in which a
- 1:39Speaker 5: season ticket holder will get to script the opening drive
- 1:43Speaker 5: of Akron's home opener, what against Robert Morris. The promotion
- 1:47Speaker 5: is called the Offensive Coordinator of the Game.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Wow the OC huh wait wait wait wait wait, So
- 1:53Speaker 4: one of the season ticket holders will just get to
- 1:56Speaker 4: script the opening drive of the home opener, not every
- 1:59Speaker 4: home game, just the home opener for right.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Now, yes, correct, the home opener against Robert Morris. All
- 2:05Speaker 5: current season ticket holders will be automatically entered into a
- 2:09Speaker 5: random drawing for every new season ticket holder. A current
- 2:12Speaker 5: one successfully refers, they'll receive additional entries. And right now,
- 2:17Speaker 5: it's all the buzz on social media.
- 2:19Speaker 3: It's great.
- 2:19Speaker 5: You got people from all over the country who play
- 2:22Speaker 5: this college football video game saying what they do is
- 2:25Speaker 5: in that hard. Let me buy some Acron season I
- 2:28Speaker 5: think it's like eighty dollars to get Acron season tickets.
- 2:30Speaker 3: But I was going to ask you how much.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Normally this is Easy's roll with the follow up, but
- 2:33Speaker 1: I do have a couple of follow ups. Please price
- 2:35Speaker 1: out four season tickets to Acron football this year. I
- 2:40Speaker 1: just want to see how much they cost it. Also,
- 2:41Speaker 1: how bad is Robert Morris at football? I need to
- 2:44Speaker 1: know what was the record last year for Robert Morris?
- 2:47Speaker 1: Meaning are they really putting this game in jeopardy by
- 2:50Speaker 1: letting a season ticket holder script the opening drive of
- 2:54Speaker 1: the first game at home against Robert Morris?
- 2:57Speaker 3: They have to be bad. Robert Morris was three to
- 2:59Speaker 3: nine lesson Okay, and what was Accron? That's a better clue.
- 3:04Speaker 6: Yeah, Mikey, I would say this.
- 3:07Speaker 7: Most people are like, oh, man, I'm going fleet flick
- 3:09Speaker 7: or hail Mary? Why other zip I'm gonna zag. I
- 3:12Speaker 7: hope they have a fullback. I hope they're ready to
- 3:15Speaker 7: pound the rock because I'm making it like an eighteen
- 3:18Speaker 7: play drive here. I'm gonna make it last.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Really full back dive.
- 3:23Speaker 6: I'm looking to get a job out of this time.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Yes, so I'm on the go Zip's website right now.
- 3:30Speaker 5: The cheapest season ticket in section U twoh one seventy
- 3:35Speaker 5: five dollars. I kind of overshot it saying eighty five dollars.
- 3:39Speaker 8: But Mikey, you'll actually access.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Yeah, you'll be working with head coach Joe Morehead and
- 3:45Speaker 5: he will help you design design the place. My thinking though,
- 3:50Speaker 5: Joe Morehead knows how much of a gimmick this is. Like,
- 3:53Speaker 5: no football guy is signing up for this where Joe
- 3:57Speaker 5: Schmo's coming off the street. There's no way he's rooting
- 4:01Speaker 5: for success on that first drive, right.
- 4:04Speaker 7: Former Fordham head coach, I'm all in, let's go Joe Morehead.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but Morehead has final say Dan Bayer has something
- 4:11Speaker 1: he has perked up here.
- 4:12Speaker 3: He is excited about this topic.
- 4:13Speaker 9: Yes, yeah, despite Robert Morris being three to nine in
- 4:17Speaker 9: the NEC. Again, this is not FBS, but in the FCS,
- 4:21Speaker 9: I still think that the drive will amount to ZIP
- 4:24Speaker 9: points for whoever designs.
- 4:25Speaker 6: It's for Akron.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So you're saying Akron can afford to do this and
- 4:30Speaker 1: not really jeopardize the game.
- 4:32Speaker 9: Oh, I'm also saying that Robert Morris may be bad,
- 4:34Speaker 9: but there's no way that they're gonna let some amateur
- 4:37Speaker 9: go in and put points on the board in the
- 4:39Speaker 9: opening drive.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Like there's got to be a system, right, because there's
- 4:42Speaker 4: got to be a little astis by design the first drive.
- 4:45Speaker 4: I would imagine, first of all, if I'm this coach,
- 4:47Speaker 4: I'm getting it written into my contract that if we
- 4:50Speaker 4: have a terrible season because we're starting off with this
- 4:53Speaker 4: terrible idea, yeah, this year does not count for me
- 4:56Speaker 4: and I deserve more money, right. But also, there's no
- 4:59Speaker 4: way there actually going to be able to create a
- 5:02Speaker 4: drive for themselves.
- 5:02Speaker 3: The coachs are gonna be like, all right.
- 5:04Speaker 4: First play this player that play, Second play this player
- 5:06Speaker 4: that play, and then just go from there because there's
- 5:08Speaker 4: no chance at heck, he's like, anybody's gonna really get to,
- 5:12Speaker 4: you know, pick the plays.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Yes, Della, depending on how that first drive goes, is
- 5:16Speaker 5: there any scenario where that guy gets on staff Because
- 5:20Speaker 5: I think in.
- 5:21Speaker 3: My mind, I mean, if they're up seven to nothing,
- 5:23Speaker 3: they're up.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Seven to nothing and they have a twenty five play
- 5:27Speaker 5: scripted methodical drive where they're just driving down on Robert Morris.
- 5:33Speaker 5: I think that guy has to be considered for the
- 5:35Speaker 5: second drive too.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I think Morehead gets fired on the spot.
- 5:39Speaker 9: I think, yeah, That's where I'm thinking, right, yes, or
- 5:43Speaker 9: if it fails, do you just fire Morehead or the
- 5:45Speaker 9: social media guy who came up with this idea?
- 5:48Speaker 7: Yeah, conspiracy theory. Did Bill Belichick run this last year.
- 5:53Speaker 6: With those opening drives?
- 5:55Speaker 7: That was a great opening drive because it went all
- 5:57Speaker 7: downhill from there.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Yeah, but he's.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Saying a fan drew it up because every other drive's stunk.
- 6:04Speaker 5: So I'm looking at akron schedule from last season and
- 6:08Speaker 5: what I'm what I'm realizing right now. They went to Lincoln,
- 6:12Speaker 5: Nebraska and played the corn Huskers.
- 6:15Speaker 8: They lost sixty eight nothing.
- 6:16Speaker 5: I think this is a case of Akron realizing, hey,
- 6:20Speaker 5: we might get we might find ourselves in a lou
- 6:22Speaker 5: Gary Wally Pip situation where if we get this offensive
- 6:26Speaker 5: coordinator for a game. One, he's working for theoretically free here,
- 6:31Speaker 5: but two, we might find somebody who could actually put
- 6:34Speaker 5: some points up against some of these power out schools
- 6:36Speaker 5: like Nebraska.
- 6:36Speaker 7: He's literally paying you to work, literally buying a season ticket.
- 6:40Speaker 6: He's paying you to work. Yep, that's the way I
- 6:43Speaker 6: like this.
- 6:43Speaker 5: Duets is strong and acery.
- 6:46Speaker 3: What are the worst and best case scenarios here? Right?
- 6:49Speaker 4: Because if I'm picked for this, I am picking a
- 6:53Speaker 4: trick play on the first play, and it's gonna end
- 6:56Speaker 4: up in a touchdown if everything works out.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Great, meaning if you're truly if you have the run
- 7:01Speaker 1: of the mill, meaning it's not option A, option B,
- 7:04Speaker 1: you get to pick any play from their playbook.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I would say, hey, for any playbook.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Yes, I would say, hey, coach, what's the best trick
- 7:10Speaker 4: play that could result in a you know, a fifty
- 7:13Speaker 4: or a huge game?
- 7:15Speaker 1: I purchase season tickets. I'm not asking the coach anything.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I'm just running what I want to run.
- 7:19Speaker 8: To be fair, you spend seventy five dollars, I.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Mean, so what that's a promotion?
- 7:23Speaker 4: I mean, and if that works out, then everybody's happy, right,
- 7:26Speaker 4: Coach doesn't have to worry about the rest of the
- 7:28Speaker 4: Drive team's happy. What a start to our home season?
- 7:32Speaker 4: Worst case scenario? What if it's like a seventy year
- 7:36Speaker 4: old grandma who wins this opportunity and then she comes
- 7:39Speaker 4: in and She's just like no idea what to do,
- 7:42Speaker 4: just kind of.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Pick and plays willy nilly.
- 7:44Speaker 4: I feel like that's why it can't be a random draw,
- 7:48Speaker 4: Like it has to be somebody that has a lot
- 7:50Speaker 4: more football knowledge than somebody who's just an Akron fan.
- 7:53Speaker 1: You like to fancy yourself as someone who could call
- 7:55Speaker 1: the plays, right, call the entire game. We do their
- 7:59Speaker 1: entire playbook, by the remainder of the season tickets they have.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Okay, it gives us more chances.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Is he you showed me a red flag though, because
- 8:07Speaker 5: you said you want to start the game with a
- 8:09Speaker 5: trick play. If you're Robert Morris and you see you
- 8:13Speaker 5: coming in to be the offensive coordinator for the game one,
- 8:16Speaker 5: If you're Robert Morris, like this is ultimate Bolton board material.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Akron is telling you you're so bad, We're gonna have
- 8:22Speaker 5: somebody from Section two seventeen road w coming to call play.
- 8:27Speaker 5: But they are that bad, but you're giving them extra motivation, right,
- 8:32Speaker 5: You don't want to do that to Robert Morris, right
- 8:34Speaker 5: is if you're Robert Morris, Yeah, everybody knows you don't
- 8:37Speaker 5: want to give Robert Morris ex an extra preparhardation for
- 8:40Speaker 5: a week.
- 8:40Speaker 3: I mean, they're a different team when they have a
- 8:42Speaker 3: chip on their shoulder.
- 8:43Speaker 6: Everyone.
- 8:44Speaker 4: What happens when you're aggressive, When you're angry and you're aggressive,
- 8:47Speaker 4: you overplay something.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Oh no, ball's not going over there. There's a dude
- 8:50Speaker 3: wide open thirty yards down the field.
- 8:52Speaker 5: But when you're bringing this guy off the street to
- 8:54Speaker 5: be the offensive coordinator, everybody's first thought is let's start
- 8:58Speaker 5: this game with a trick play. And that's exactly what
- 9:01Speaker 5: Robert Morris is expecting. Yeah, that's why this coordinator business is.
- 9:05Speaker 5: It's chest not checkers.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Yes, I think you know. I think he's right.
- 9:08Speaker 1: No, I think a couple of full back dives just
- 9:10Speaker 1: so they think, okay, Robert Morris is like, hey, nothing
- 9:13Speaker 1: much get to change here.
- 9:14Speaker 3: This is what Acrod.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Always does, the full back dive, and then you break
- 9:18Speaker 1: out the trick plays on third down and third and long.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I would also say, guys, you have.
- 9:22Speaker 6: To be there on install day.
- 9:23Speaker 3: It's hard dad. No, that's okay.
- 9:25Speaker 9: If I'm the if I win this contest, I don't
- 9:27Speaker 9: know if I want to do a trick play right
- 9:29Speaker 9: off the bat, I wouldn't do the full back dives
- 9:31Speaker 9: because I don't want it to be one and done,
- 9:33Speaker 9: because if I score, then it's done. Like, I want
- 9:35Speaker 9: to at least call I want to get into a rhythm.
- 9:37Speaker 9: I want to call more plays. I don't want it
- 9:38Speaker 9: to just be one play and if we score a
- 9:40Speaker 9: touchdown that's it. I want to string this thing out
- 9:43Speaker 9: right to a couple of five yard outs. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 9: just chunks, you know, take your time off the clock.
- 9:49Speaker 4: How can they see the trick play coming if other
- 9:51Speaker 4: people are thinking differently, right, other they could say, oh, yeah,
- 9:54Speaker 4: he's probably going to try to run it up the
- 9:56Speaker 4: middle and then give us a trick play on third. Now, no,
- 9:58Speaker 4: right off the bat, seventy yards touchdown and then and.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Then you do it to the coach and say, hey,
- 10:04Speaker 3: let me get the second drive.
- 10:06Speaker 5: So Akron, I'm looking at their schedule again from last season. Yeah,
- 10:11Speaker 5: do you know how many points the Akron Zips scored
- 10:14Speaker 5: their first eight quarters?
- 10:16Speaker 3: Zip? Zips?
- 10:18Speaker 8: Zips?
- 10:19Speaker 6: Really?
- 10:19Speaker 3: So this is an audition, This is not it's not
- 10:21Speaker 3: a gimmick.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Well, it can't get worse, right, They lose Week one
- 10:25Speaker 5: to Wyoming ten to nothing. Then they go on the road,
- 10:28Speaker 5: like I mentioned, to Nebraska, they lose sixty eight nothing,
- 10:32Speaker 5: and then Week three is when they get their first touchdown,
- 10:35Speaker 5: a big fourteen point quarter in an eventual thirty one
- 10:39Speaker 5: to twenty eight lost to UAB the Blazers.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I mean, this oc has to be sweating right now.
- 10:44Speaker 3: He does.
- 10:45Speaker 1: He sets such a little bar that a fast season
- 10:48Speaker 1: ticket holder could come in and acceed it and take
- 10:50Speaker 1: his jump.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Taylor, do a little bit more research of those first
- 10:53Speaker 4: how many games was it until they.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Scored or quarters?
- 10:55Speaker 8: Third game?
- 10:56Speaker 3: Third game?
- 10:57Speaker 4: Of those two and a half games, how many trick
- 10:59Speaker 4: plays did they run? I'm gonna guess none.
- 11:03Speaker 8: I'll have to go back and look at you.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Just want to run a flea flicker.
- 11:07Speaker 4: You got to get a little bit more thoughtful than
- 11:08Speaker 4: a flee flicker. But yeah, something in that neighborhood.
- 11:11Speaker 1: There are two calls on the board. I'll get to
- 11:13Speaker 1: him in just a second. Eight seven seven ninety nine
- 11:15Speaker 1: on Fox. I know, I said I would stop whatever
- 11:17Speaker 1: we're doing to talk about whatever it is you want
- 11:19Speaker 1: to talk about. But I talking zips football right now.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I don't know Eric the zip zip it up.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Eric wants to talk about Mount Rushmore Mondays, and I
- 11:29Speaker 4: feel like that's a a fan who deserves his time.
- 11:32Speaker 3: You're right. Let's go to Eric. Eric, go ahead, you're
- 11:34Speaker 3: on Fox Sports Radio.
- 11:36Speaker 10: Hey, guys, I really enjoyed that Mount Rushmore brick down
- 11:40Speaker 10: last week. But I had I had one ad them
- 11:43Speaker 10: in one correction. What's that was sticking with the fearsome
- 11:47Speaker 10: Forsome and I would go Merlin Olson on Little House
- 11:51Speaker 10: on the Prairie.
- 11:54Speaker 3: I had never seen it, but okay, okay, Uh, you've
- 11:57Speaker 3: been sitting on that for a while.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Man.
- 11:59Speaker 10: Yeah, the direction. I can't remember which one of you
- 12:03Speaker 10: picked Terry Crews, but I believe. Yeah, Mikey Camacho for Mediocracy.
- 12:12Speaker 3: That's another good one. Yeah, thank you, Eric.
- 12:16Speaker 10: I water my alarm with theater a cool catches.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Eric, I'd like you to call in next Monday and
- 12:24Speaker 1: do the Matt Rushmore Monday with us.
- 12:25Speaker 6: Okay, all sure, try, all right, you could be the judge.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Yeah, there you go.
- 12:31Speaker 8: We're looking for a new judge after I got robbed
- 12:33Speaker 8: last week.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I'm not looking for a new judge. I'm happy with
- 12:35Speaker 1: our joan favorite. Let's go out to John.
- 12:38Speaker 3: John. You're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 12:42Speaker 11: Hi, just a couple of points on the scool thing
- 12:48Speaker 11: being in the military. It's like one guy can ruin
- 12:52Speaker 11: a whole you know, platoon or whatever. And if they
- 12:56Speaker 11: would have brought him Scobell to the Brewers, that could
- 13:01Speaker 11: have upset the bullpen. And they got a good team
- 13:07Speaker 11: and the manager is doing a great job bringing out.
- 13:09Speaker 8: The people and stuff like that, and I.
- 13:12Speaker 6: Just think they're keeping the team.
- 13:16Speaker 11: Together because they play so well together. And to bring
- 13:20Speaker 11: in Scoobul And the other thing I wanted to talk
- 13:23Speaker 11: about was miss they bring in miz for like three
- 13:27Speaker 11: or four innings and the opposing team has three or
- 13:33Speaker 11: four innings to get used to the Polish lightning, and
- 13:37Speaker 11: then they bring in a closer who's pitching totally different
- 13:42Speaker 11: and that throws up their whole timing and everything else
- 13:46Speaker 11: like that. So just a couple of observations.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm uncertain this Schooball deal is going to work out.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I mean, the Dodgers have been a disaster since they
- 13:55Speaker 1: acquired him.
- 13:56Speaker 8: And the Tigers haven't.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Lost in and now we've establed said the Brewers were
- 14:00Speaker 4: too good to add.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Scuba because it would just mess everything up.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I understand why the Brewers wouldn't do that. There's no
- 14:06Speaker 1: point in doing that. They're not trying to win. They
- 14:08Speaker 1: might stumble into winning a World Series, but that team
- 14:11Speaker 1: is not trying to win. There is no reason to
- 14:14Speaker 1: trade for school Bowl a two month rental, give up
- 14:18Speaker 1: all those prospects, and then eventually, when the season's over,
- 14:21Speaker 1: he's going to be a Dodger and you have no
- 14:22Speaker 1: guarantee because baseball's a funny sport of winning a World
- 14:25Speaker 1: Series because you get them.
- 14:26Speaker 4: But what do you mean by they're not trying to win?
- 14:28Speaker 4: Because they're the exact team that I would say, they're
- 14:30Speaker 4: not going to resign them, so might as well take
- 14:32Speaker 4: the rental and win a World Series.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I would say if they were trying to win, they
- 14:35Speaker 1: would have given any amount of prospects because you have
- 14:38Speaker 1: a window right now to win a World Series. To
- 14:39Speaker 1: go get school Ball and prevent him from going to
- 14:41Speaker 1: the Dodgers and bolster your staff. Then do it because
- 14:44Speaker 1: they know they can't sign school Ball to the four
- 14:46Speaker 1: hundred million dollar contract he's going to command once the
- 14:50Speaker 1: season is over. Let's go out to Kevin in Dayton, Ohio.
- 14:53Speaker 12: Go ahead, keV, Dude, I gotta tell you, it's so
- 14:57Speaker 12: nice to have you back on radio.
- 14:58Speaker 5: This is awesome, Thank you so so.
- 15:02Speaker 12: My thing is if I'm offensive coordinator for the Zips
- 15:04Speaker 12: for one drive. I make sure you know, even if
- 15:08Speaker 12: the coach is telling me, you know, suggesting plays for
- 15:11Speaker 12: me as it were my my I'm in the quarterback.
- 15:15Speaker 12: You're going, dude, you're going to audible to this, this
- 15:17Speaker 12: and this. I'm telling you, man, you got it, you
- 15:20Speaker 12: got you gotta let it rip. You want to show
- 15:23Speaker 12: throwing your arm.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Is go on, man.
- 15:24Speaker 8: Showing fifty yard pass.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Let's go there you go again his ear.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Wait, but he thinks you buy season tickets and you
- 15:33Speaker 1: have access to the headset.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I mean no.
- 15:35Speaker 5: I I think Kevin makes a good point where if
- 15:38Speaker 5: I'm buying season tickets for Akron, part of in this
- 15:42Speaker 5: agreement has to be I do get to audible someplace.
- 15:46Speaker 3: But you're only getting the opening drive.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I mean, the head coach is definitely wishing gets three
- 15:50Speaker 1: safe plays and it's a three and out right the
- 15:52Speaker 1: head coach.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I'm in the quarterbacks there are saying listen, nobody, I'm
- 15:56Speaker 4: the only one who's gonna get blamed here.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Just unleash it.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Just do whatever you want out there. If you ever
- 16:01Speaker 4: wanted to take a deep tride, now's the time, you.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Think he tells the season ticket holder, Hey, feel free
- 16:06Speaker 1: to punt on first down.
- 16:09Speaker 5: They got a good quarterback to Reece Poffenbarger. Really, Yeah,
- 16:13Speaker 5: he transferred from It's the new era of college of
- 16:16Speaker 5: college football where these guys have played everywhere. Yeah, he
- 16:19Speaker 5: started at Old Dominion, transferred to Albany, transferred to Miami.
- 16:23Speaker 5: Wow you twenty twenty four? Yeah, I bet there was
- 16:26Speaker 5: a time when Hurricanes fans thought he was gonna be
- 16:28Speaker 5: the next guy.
- 16:29Speaker 1: So when this kid graduates, is what's his answer? I mean,
- 16:32Speaker 1: where'd you go to? Like, say, Reeese Poffenbarger goes to
- 16:35Speaker 1: the NFL. Yes, and it's Sunday night football. He's starting.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Let's say he's starting for the Jets. You're getting the lineups.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Where does ree poff and Gardner say he went?
- 16:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a poorly phrased question by me.
- 16:47Speaker 5: Yes, I think so this is a case. He also
- 16:52Speaker 5: played at North Texas too, right. I think you just
- 16:54Speaker 5: have to list all the schools Reee Poffner, Old Dominion, Albany, Miami,
- 16:59Speaker 5: North Texas.
- 16:59Speaker 8: Act.
- 17:00Speaker 1: You don't take the best school. I mean, I think
- 17:02Speaker 1: you take the school you last played for.
- 17:05Speaker 9: Yeah, Dan, quick question, who is the better story twenty
- 17:09Speaker 9: years from now the quarterback of Akron, who says, guys,
- 17:13Speaker 9: get this, When I was in college, a fan picked
- 17:15Speaker 9: the play, or if you're on the defense of Robert
- 17:18Speaker 9: Morris saying we were so freaking bad Akron had a
- 17:22Speaker 9: fan pick their place against us.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I think it's a.
- 17:25Speaker 9: Great Trump story to trump all stories twenty years from now.
- 17:29Speaker 3: It's definitely the latterly. Yeah.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Wait, so friends are sitting around and they're bragging about
- 17:34Speaker 1: how bad their college team was.
- 17:37Speaker 9: Get this, Akron made a fan designed to play against us?
- 17:42Speaker 3: What and they scored? Yeah?
- 17:45Speaker 5: Dan, if I'm on this Robert Morris defense, Oh god,
- 17:48Speaker 5: this is what I'm taking at the grave with me.
- 17:50Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Here never, you will never get me to admit that
- 17:53Speaker 5: I was on this Robert Morris defense.
- 17:55Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 17:56Speaker 6: Hey, Robert Morris, good luck researching my tendencies.

- 18:44Speaker 1: Comes on top of the Dodgers three to one in
- 18:46Speaker 1: the fourth inning at Wrigley. LA started things off as
- 18:49Speaker 1: show hey o Tani get a solo home run in
- 18:51Speaker 1: the first is twenty fifth of the season. Picrow Armstrong
- 18:54Speaker 1: answered in the bottom half with his twenty fifth home
- 18:56Speaker 1: run of the season. PCA also has an RBI double
- 18:59Speaker 1: dance by Swamps knocked one in comes out on top
- 19:01Speaker 1: of the Dodgers three to one in the fourth and
- 19:03Speaker 1: the fifth. Astros blanking the Blue Jays by a score
- 19:06Speaker 1: of three to nothing, while Texas is up on the
- 19:08Speaker 1: Giants one nothing in the third. Tampa Bay up early
- 19:11Speaker 1: on the Rockies to nothing as they play in the
- 19:14Speaker 1: bottom of the first inning. In Colorado, Washington Commanders are
- 19:18Speaker 1: stunning free age. A wide receiver Stefan Digs to a
- 19:20Speaker 1: one year deal. Is fourth team in as many seasons.
- 19:23Speaker 1: ESPN says that Diggs's deal could be worth up to
- 19:25Speaker 1: twelve million dollars for twenty twenty six. Falcons ed rusher
- 19:28Speaker 1: Jalen Walker is going to miss the entire twenty twenty
- 19:30Speaker 1: sixth season with that torn acl suffered in training camp.
- 19:33Speaker 9: Yesterday. Tests confirmed that Walker will not be able to
- 19:36Speaker 9: play for the Falcons after suffering the injury. On Tuesday,
- 19:39Speaker 9: Kansas City Chiefs dropped the name of the naming rights
- 19:41Speaker 9: sponsor from their stadium, so once again their home facility
- 19:45Speaker 9: is known as Arrowhead Stadium. The Preakness Stakes will be
- 19:48Speaker 9: moved one week later starting in twenty twenty seven, and
- 19:50Speaker 9: will be run on a Sunday. The move now makes
- 19:52Speaker 9: the race three weeks removed from the Kentucky Derby, and
- 19:55Speaker 9: Live Golf says they have struck a deal with a
- 19:57Speaker 9: lead investor that will help keep the tour alive after
- 20:01Speaker 9: twenty twenty six, and a statement of the tour said
- 20:03Speaker 9: the players on LIV will become the majority stakeholders of
- 20:06Speaker 9: the tour. Deal has not yet been finalized, they say
- 20:08Speaker 9: a timetable if possibly finalizing a deal in September is realistic.
- 20:13Speaker 1: STU back to you, Thank you, Dan, you talk Akron football,
- 20:17Speaker 1: the zips and the phone lines light up.
- 20:20Speaker 3: It's unbelievable.
- 20:21Speaker 1: This is the thing that gets them the line up
- 20:23Speaker 1: eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. I am torn
- 20:26Speaker 1: here because it's a whatever you want to talk about
- 20:28Speaker 1: Wednesday and is he has some things that he would
- 20:31Speaker 1: like to talk about.
- 20:32Speaker 3: But I promise the callers I would go to their calls,
- 20:35Speaker 3: right if your word? What should I do?
- 20:36Speaker 6: Though?
- 20:37Speaker 3: Go to the calls? I know, but I feel bad
- 20:38Speaker 3: doing that to you. Don't worry about it unless you
- 20:41Speaker 3: worry about it. The more time we have.
- 20:43Speaker 1: By the way, the Dodgers good for baseball. I found
- 20:45Speaker 1: myself rooting against schoolbl and the Dodgers last night. I
- 20:48Speaker 1: did Yeah, biggest Cup fan around. Let's go out to
- 20:51Speaker 1: Thomas in Arizona. Thomas, go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio, STU.
- 20:56Speaker 13: How you doing good?
- 20:58Speaker 3: Thomas? How are you?
- 20:59Speaker 13: I'm doing all right? I have bad news for you.
- 21:01Speaker 13: Though you put that challenge out there to find that
- 21:04Speaker 13: video clip between me, Grot and Gemini. There is no
- 21:08Speaker 13: archibal footage of it. It was a midweek game, so
- 21:11Speaker 13: they do not have any footage of it. Footage of
- 21:16Speaker 13: what footage of that home run from George Foster.
- 21:22Speaker 10: Earlier.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Yeah, the George Foster, the Big Red Machine. Yes, yes, yeah.
- 21:27Speaker 6: You also got to turn off your radio.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, classic sports radio mistake.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Did I was say, I'm tell you when you called
- 21:33Speaker 1: in to turn down your radio just out of curiosity.
- 21:36Speaker 13: No, I'm on speakerphone because when I move it over
- 21:39Speaker 13: to the regular it cuts out.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Okay, so wait, you searched everywhere for the footage of
- 21:44Speaker 1: the George Foster home run and you can find it.
- 21:47Speaker 13: Couldn't find it. I even argued with Gemini when it
- 21:50Speaker 13: said it didn't exist. I was like, yeah, it happened
- 21:52Speaker 13: on this day. It was.
- 21:55Speaker 1: What is it? What does that fight sound like? I
- 22:00Speaker 1: constantly fight with Ai, not iverson AI. What does that
- 22:03Speaker 1: fight sound like?
- 22:04Speaker 3: Like? What are you telling Gemini? What are you demanding?
- 22:07Speaker 13: Well? I turned around and told him this is when
- 22:09Speaker 13: it happens. It was against and I had a witness
- 22:12Speaker 13: that I'm listening to live on radio.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Tell me it happened.
- 22:15Speaker 13: I was like, oh, I'm sorry, I was wrong.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Yeah, well I was wrong, Thomas, I'm Gemini to her.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I love correcting Ai. Yeah, yes, it makes you feel smart, right, yeah.
- 22:27Speaker 5: But then I then I I have this moment of
- 22:29Speaker 5: panic when I'm like, man, when AI takes over, they're
- 22:32Speaker 5: coming from me because I chastised them for getting an
- 22:35Speaker 5: MVP list wrong.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I try to be very gentle with them. Wait, are
- 22:38Speaker 3: you saying that AI is keeping a list?
- 22:40Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 22:41Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I know people that every time they write
- 22:44Speaker 5: a prompt to AI, they make sure they say please
- 22:46Speaker 5: and thank you, just the way I remember.
- 22:49Speaker 3: I'm very nice to Alexa. Are you really yes, because
- 22:52Speaker 3: you're worried about the list? No, because Anthony's kind of
- 22:54Speaker 3: a jerk to her, so I have to bounce things out,
- 22:56Speaker 3: even it out right.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Let's go to Roger in Orange County. Roger, go ahead,
- 23:00Speaker 1: You're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Hey, what's going on, Stu? Is the Taylor questions to?
- 23:06Speaker 11: Is the ink dry on the divorce papers?
- 23:11Speaker 3: Who's an Abby?
- 23:12Speaker 6: Or with Dan.
- 23:15Speaker 10: With the other show?
- 23:17Speaker 11: You know, I'm still like holding out some hope, you know,
- 23:19Speaker 11: hopefully one day get one episode.
- 23:23Speaker 13: I mean, they took their name off the show Man.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Did you know that? Yeah?
- 23:26Speaker 1: No, well I didn't know it when they did it,
- 23:29Speaker 1: but I do now, thank you. It's my show. I
- 23:31Speaker 1: don't care what anyone tells me. My name will always
- 23:33Speaker 1: be on that show, and I am talking to Dan.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I don't have an update on this. I will have
- 23:38Speaker 1: an update for you guys in the next week or
- 23:40Speaker 1: so because it is my hope as well, because I
- 23:43Speaker 1: know how much it means to the listeners and it
- 23:45Speaker 1: means something to me and Dan that we will do
- 23:48Speaker 1: some shows together.
- 23:49Speaker 3: So I hope we haven't done our last show.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I don't know if that's the case, but there is
- 23:53Speaker 1: no wink and I can't tell you if it's dry
- 23:55Speaker 1: or not.
- 23:55Speaker 8: Did we get bait and switched by Roger?
- 23:57Speaker 5: Because Roger's call screen says Lebron seventy six apathetical, Rod,
- 24:02Speaker 5: do you have a hypothetical?
- 24:02Speaker 3: Tell you whatever you want to talk about Wednesday? Yeah?
- 24:07Speaker 13: Well, I mean, you guys are doing the same bits
- 24:08Speaker 13: out there.
- 24:09Speaker 11: You don't like the mean stole your bit, but moving
- 24:11Speaker 11: on pass You guy's got the same guess, but no
- 24:12Speaker 11: one could get Diana on all right?
- 24:14Speaker 10: Soon hear my question?
- 24:16Speaker 3: No one could get Diana on that much anymore. All right,
- 24:20Speaker 3: here's some typical sports radio.
- 24:22Speaker 13: All Right, I'm gonna pick Lebron and Michael Jordan on
- 24:25Speaker 13: my team. You get the next five takes. Who you
- 24:27Speaker 13: take in take my call up there, Thank you, budd it.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I like that, so Lebron and Michael. And by the way,
- 24:31Speaker 1: there is no way that Dan is putting Hogdale on
- 24:33Speaker 1: the radio.
- 24:36Speaker 3: You regret going to the college yet? Yeah? Courgain maybe Hogdale? No, okay, No,
- 24:40Speaker 3: I like the calls they can ask listen.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I am flattered that people care enough where they are
- 24:46Speaker 1: hopeful that me and Dan haven't done our last show.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I mean, that's flattering, right, twenty years of doing this,
- 24:52Speaker 1: you try to find some meaning, and we have touched
- 24:54Speaker 1: a lot of people and it means a lot to them.
- 24:56Speaker 1: And I just don't have an update that would make
- 24:59Speaker 1: him happy right now, so or any sort of update.
- 25:02Speaker 3: We did get bait and switched though, Oh absolutely so
- 25:04Speaker 3: he has Lebron and Michael and I get that.
- 25:06Speaker 6: All right. He bait and switched them. He said there'll
- 25:08Speaker 6: be an update next week.
- 25:09Speaker 10: No, they won't.
- 25:12Speaker 6: Another two weeks.
- 25:15Speaker 3: By the way, he didn't say hi to me, so yeah,
- 25:19Speaker 3: hell for him.
- 25:19Speaker 6: That was hurtful. That was hurtful.
- 25:21Speaker 3: You personalized that. Huh geez, all right, who wouldn't.
- 25:25Speaker 7: I mean, if you're gonna go through the the trouble
- 25:27Speaker 7: of saying hi to Taylor.
- 25:29Speaker 6: Yes, I'm an internal I.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Say how to Dan either though, I mean I'm taking
- 25:35Speaker 1: Magic and Bird. Naturally, I'm taking.
- 25:41Speaker 7: Magic Bird.
- 25:42Speaker 3: I have to beat money. I've got five.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I got my Michael and Lebron. Yeah, but I need
- 25:47Speaker 1: a defensive stopper. Magic and Larry aren't that. I might
- 25:51Speaker 1: put Joe Dumores on there. I might put Isaiah Thomas
- 25:58Speaker 1: on there. I would absolutely put Kareem er Shack.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I got a narrow this down mine.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Yes, all right, I got Steph, I got Kobe, I
- 26:06Speaker 4: got Larry Bird, I got Tim Duncan, I got Shack.
- 26:08Speaker 3: That team's beating whatever team you put Michael Jordan and
- 26:11Speaker 3: Lebron James.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I mean Kobe, Yeah, but Lebron and Michael Yeah, I
- 26:16Speaker 1: mean Lebron, Michael Pippin. I could throw at Ya Iverson.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I could give you Carl Alone Barkley.
- 26:21Speaker 3: No, I'm good with these five right here.
- 26:23Speaker 4: I've got a Michael clone in Kobe, and I've got
- 26:26Speaker 4: Steph Curry, who is just giving any Lebron team absolute nightmares?
- 26:30Speaker 5: Do you can do you consider putting Gerald Wilkins on
- 26:33Speaker 5: one of your spots. The Jordan stopper. I think Jordan
- 26:36Speaker 5: average like thirty three points a game against Gerald Wilkin.
- 26:39Speaker 5: By the way, we're not really stopping much.
- 26:40Speaker 4: I don't think that was ever a phrase the Jordan's stopper.
- 26:43Speaker 4: The first time ever heard that with Kobe, it was
- 26:45Speaker 4: Ruben Patterson.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Of all people.
- 26:46Speaker 1: If there's a close game and Jordan and Lebron are
- 26:49Speaker 1: on the same team, in the same huddle, who you're
- 26:51Speaker 1: drawing up to play for? Like, who thinks they're getting
- 26:54Speaker 1: the ball? Michael right, yes, they both.
- 26:56Speaker 4: Lebron can start with the ball to make him feel good,
- 26:59Speaker 4: but you're giving it to Jordan in the high post.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Jordan love post. I'm good with your five. Actually, I
- 27:05Speaker 3: mean it's I mean it's a ridiculous.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Let me hear it again. Let me I forgot about Kobe.
- 27:09Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird, Tim Duncan, Shaquille O'Neal.
- 27:15Speaker 4: All right, you've got the inside, you've got the outside.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I take out Steph and replace him with magic.
- 27:19Speaker 1: What this wasn't supposed to be a magic in Steph debates, it's.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Just the makeup of the team.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Like if magic, if you want to run and gun,
- 27:29Speaker 4: you're not gonna really do that with Shack. But if
- 27:31Speaker 4: you want to run and gun cool, you take magic.
- 27:33Speaker 4: You want to beat everybody, you take steph.
- 27:35Speaker 3: I feel like Jordan in that scenario would be like,
- 27:37Speaker 3: I don't need.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Lebron, Just give me packs In, give me Horace Grant,
- 27:41Speaker 1: give me Scottie, and give me Bill Wennington, and I'll
- 27:43Speaker 1: beat your five four?
- 27:44Speaker 5: Would it be like would it be like Jimmy Butler
- 27:46Speaker 5: when Jimmy Butler was on the Timberwolves and he just
- 27:48Speaker 5: grabbed four random people to be like I could beat
- 27:51Speaker 5: Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony towns.
- 27:55Speaker 8: Is.
- 27:55Speaker 1: He has a couple of football questions. It also wants
- 27:57Speaker 1: to take us back in time, So well, get the
- 28:00Speaker 1: harp's ready. I got a couple of remember wins for you.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I really only had one. I don't even know if
- 28:04Speaker 1: I'll have time for the whole thing, but I have one.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Since speaking of Nan and Stugattz, do you remember when
- 28:11Speaker 4: you were the smartest man in the world when it
- 28:13Speaker 4: came to Elon Musk.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Yes, I was ahead of I was ahead of everyone.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Can you I called him a quack. I said he
- 28:18Speaker 1: hasn't accomplished anything. He's accomplished a lot since I said that,
- 28:23Speaker 1: But at the time, I was like, you know, people
- 28:25Speaker 1: were buying Tesla's, and the Tesla's were showing up to
- 28:28Speaker 1: people's houses a year after they purchased the Tesla and
- 28:32Speaker 1: they were broken. And I'm like, this guy, you know,
- 28:34Speaker 1: he's so smart, and what he likes to do is
- 28:36Speaker 1: toy with people's emotions because his words have consequences, and
- 28:41Speaker 1: he would use his words to drive up the stock
- 28:43Speaker 1: or drive down the stock.
- 28:45Speaker 3: And I basically said he's overrated. He's a guy who hasn't.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Really accomplished nearly as much as you would think based
- 28:50Speaker 1: on the coverage that he gets front.
- 28:52Speaker 6: Yes.
- 28:52Speaker 5: Absolutely, and also Stu, I think this was right around
- 28:55Speaker 5: the time where he just kept pitching that train concept,
- 28:57Speaker 5: the hyper loop, where he was like, ye, to this
- 29:00Speaker 5: train's going to change the world. And I think your
- 29:01Speaker 5: point was, well, then build the train already.
- 29:03Speaker 1: No, he talks about conceptually, yes, but since then he
- 29:06Speaker 1: has figured out how to get to space so well.
- 29:10Speaker 3: He kind of checkmated me.
- 29:11Speaker 1: But yes, there was a super bullet train that would
- 29:14Speaker 1: get you from Miami to New York in like an hour,
- 29:17Speaker 1: and like, hey, it's great, talk about it in theory
- 29:19Speaker 1: how about you get the train done. He loves to talk.
- 29:23Speaker 1: He doesn't get much done. But that's changed since it Well.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Yes and no, because what if I told you?
- 29:29Speaker 4: What did you tell me before that he created or
- 29:31Speaker 4: a spaceship or a company that can fly rockets into space?
- 29:34Speaker 3: Yes? Yeah, what if I told you?
- 29:36Speaker 4: There's even more evidence that you're correct, because yesterday, I
- 29:40Speaker 4: believe it was yesterday.
- 29:41Speaker 3: I might have been earlier.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Today, a SpaceX rocket crashed into the moon going at
- 29:49Speaker 4: fifty four hundred miles per hour.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Wow, into the moon. He's a fraud. Don't mess with
- 29:56Speaker 3: the moon man, leave it alone. So he Bild's big
- 30:00Speaker 3: great companies. The problem is the products don't work.
- 30:05Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 30:06Speaker 4: He is the uh I don't know, the billionaire version
- 30:09Speaker 4: of the big baller brand.
- 30:10Speaker 7: Yes.
- 30:11Speaker 1: At the time, though, when I said that, everyone objected.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Everyone was mad at me. They're like, you're out of
- 30:15Speaker 1: your mind.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Give it time. I got to tell you.
- 30:17Speaker 1: When people reach out to me and talk to me
- 30:19Speaker 1: about the show, what I get most is, Man, you
- 30:22Speaker 1: were ahead of your time on Elon Musk.
- 30:24Speaker 3: There you go.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Anytime you get a chance to brag about that, you should.
- 30:27Speaker 4: So I'm just letting you know, a SpaceX rocket crashed into.
- 30:31Speaker 3: The moon makes sense for it.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Yeah, this one is more a little bit for as
- 30:36Speaker 1: it took us along.
- 30:39Speaker 4: This one's a little bit more for Taylor and Mikey.
- 30:41Speaker 4: Do you guys remember when the Cleveland Indians and Albert
- 30:45Speaker 4: Bell had this crazy corked bat incident in nineteen ninety four.
- 30:49Speaker 8: So I was born in nineteen ninety fourteen.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Okay, so you don't remember, so you didn't come out
- 30:53Speaker 3: of the wombit baseball.
- 30:54Speaker 1: It's one of the craziest stories I've ever seen in
- 30:56Speaker 1: my life. Seriously, sports are not sports like it really is.
- 30:59Speaker 1: So Ricardo were just replaced by Elon Musk's rocket.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Crashing into the moon. I mean, I was do you
- 31:05Speaker 3: get your money back if you crashed into the moon?
- 31:08Speaker 4: I mean, you better get I don't. I have no
- 31:10Speaker 4: idea who would be trying to get their money back,
- 31:12Speaker 4: That's what I'm wondering.
- 31:12Speaker 3: It's a good point, man, the families. I mean, it's expensive.
- 31:16Speaker 3: You know, there weren't people like in it.
- 31:18Speaker 10: Oh.
- 31:18Speaker 3: I thought it was one of those casual trades, you know.
- 31:20Speaker 8: Yet it as a two car collision.
- 31:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I had fifty five thousand miles an hour.
- 31:25Speaker 8: Or into the moon.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Nice pile.
- 31:30Speaker 6: He's making fun of it.
- 31:34Speaker 3: I thought he could take people to the moon.
- 31:37Speaker 4: But in your scenario, yeah, they're getting their money back posthumously,
- 31:42Speaker 4: you're getting their money back. But yeah, I was talking
- 31:44Speaker 4: to Ricardo before the show, and I was what seventeen
- 31:47Speaker 4: years old at the time, so I should have remembered this.
- 31:50Speaker 4: But there was an incident in nineteen ninety four where
- 31:54Speaker 4: an umpire grabbed a bat from Albert Bell and put
- 31:57Speaker 4: it away to check on it later because they it
- 32:00Speaker 4: was corked. Yes, this next part is the most insane
- 32:04Speaker 4: baseball story I have ever heard. Okay, I'm just gonna
- 32:08Speaker 4: read off a Wikipedia here. The Indians, knowing that the
- 32:10Speaker 4: bat was indeed corked, dispatched relief pitcher Jason Grimsly to
- 32:14Speaker 4: retrieve the bat. Grimsly took a bat belonging to Indians
- 32:18Speaker 4: player Paul Sorrento and accessed the area above the false
- 32:23Speaker 4: ceiling in the clubhouse and crawled across with a flashlight
- 32:28Speaker 4: in his mouth until he reached the umpire's room. He
- 32:32Speaker 4: switched Bell's bat with Sorrento's and returned to the clubhouse.
- 32:36Speaker 4: During the sixth inning, the umpire's custodian noticed clumps of
- 32:39Speaker 4: ceiling tile on the floor of the umpire's room, plus
- 32:43Speaker 4: twisted metal brackets in the ceiling, so it clearly didn't
- 32:45Speaker 4: cover tracks very well. And after the game, Phillips noticed
- 32:48Speaker 4: the bats were different. When he saw that the replacement
- 32:51Speaker 4: bat was not as shiny and also was stamped with
- 32:54Speaker 4: Sorrento's signature, the Chicago police were called and the White
- 33:00Speaker 4: Sox threatened charges against the burglar. Yes, an investigation that
- 33:04Speaker 4: Saturday was carried out by a former FBI agent flown
- 33:08Speaker 4: in by Major League Baseball. The equipment room was dusted
- 33:11Speaker 4: for fingerprints, and the path that burglar took was discovered.
- 33:15Speaker 3: You have got to be.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Kidding me that they went all mission impossible into the
- 33:21Speaker 4: ceiling ye to try. I mean, there's never been more
- 33:25Speaker 4: proof that baseball is just a sport of cheaters than
- 33:29Speaker 4: this ride here. Everybody knew he was cheating, but he's like, no, no,
- 33:32Speaker 4: let's commit a crime so that we can cover up
- 33:35Speaker 4: this cheating. That it's first of all, I was shocked
- 33:38Speaker 4: that I didn't know the details of that.
- 33:40Speaker 3: That's when baseball was baseball.
- 33:41Speaker 4: But Taylor, I would watch I would watch a ninety
- 33:44Speaker 4: minute documentary about that. So it on, you recreate the
- 33:47Speaker 4: entire It's the craziest baseball story, maybe the craziest sports
- 33:50Speaker 4: story I've ever heard.
- 33:51Speaker 1: What's on is it's the second craziest story involving Albert Bell.
- 33:55Speaker 8: What was the first?
- 33:56Speaker 3: Check out the story about kids trigger treating in his
- 33:58Speaker 3: neighborhood that break.
- 34:01Speaker 5: Yes, as you check that out, we have an update.
- 34:04Speaker 5: In this Cubs game, p Crow Armstrong just hit another
- 34:07Speaker 5: home run, crushed it to right field, five to one.
- 34:10Speaker 5: Cubs three for three with two home runs.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 5: Going into this series, Otani was the MVP. And if
- 34:18Speaker 5: the Cubs sweep the Dodgers.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Yeah, MVP check his bat.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah, And why this is why the Dodgers are good
- 34:24Speaker 1: for baseball. I'm telling you your hate watching right now.
- 34:27Speaker 3: You are. It's great, it's fantastic. They're stacked, and you
- 34:30Speaker 3: want them to lose.
- 34:31Speaker 8: No, I I'm.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Gonna whisper this because I don't want this to be
- 34:34Speaker 5: a public take. Really, I think the Dodgers.
- 34:38Speaker 8: Are kind of old and the Dodgers might kind of stink.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Why'd you have to whisper that?
- 34:45Speaker 5: Because I know what's gonna happen. The Yankees are gonna
- 34:48Speaker 5: make it to the World Series from the al the
- 34:51Speaker 5: Dodgers are gonna make it to the World Series and
- 34:53Speaker 5: then we're gonna get swept and people are gonna replay.
- 34:56Speaker 5: But it's it's tougher to replay a clip if I
- 34:58Speaker 5: was whispering in it, you know, yes.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Put it on the poll? Is your name on the bat?
- 35:03Speaker 3: A debt giveaway? Seriously? Were they thinking?
- 35:06Speaker 1: Talk about a poorly thought out play it eight seven

- 35:40Speaker 1: Tim Kirchin get to join us at about twelve minutes here.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Hogdale goe to join us right after that. Very much
- 35:47Speaker 1: looking forward to that. If you're not familiar with Hogdale's work,
- 35:50Speaker 1: I don't need to tell people who Tim Kirchin is.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Do I have to tell people who Hogdale is? Taylor? Yeah, Yeah,
- 35:57Speaker 3: he's a guy.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Who does play by play for Barstool of every He's
- 36:00Speaker 1: a one sixty two er of every single Red Sock
- 36:03Speaker 1: game and he's crazy. Okay, I'm not certain he should
- 36:05Speaker 1: be doing it. People pay a lot of money for
- 36:07Speaker 1: the rights of the Red Sox game. But Hogdale is
- 36:09Speaker 1: doing it nonetheless. So he will join us coming up
- 36:12Speaker 1: in around four twenty five. Taylor has two games?
- 36:15Speaker 3: Is he we get to choose? Go ahead, Taylor, what
- 36:17Speaker 3: are our choices today?
- 36:19Speaker 5: So we could do do me a favor? Or we
- 36:21Speaker 5: could do a new game inspired by Goldilocks and the
- 36:23Speaker 5: Three Bears, where we go through all the college football
- 36:26Speaker 5: teams in the top twenty five preseason coaches poll and
- 36:29Speaker 5: we say, if they're too high, too low, we're just right.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Do me a favor. It is that it's a terrible way.
- 36:37Speaker 6: The other one.
- 36:37Speaker 3: I'm thinking too high, too low?
- 36:39Speaker 1: Yes, just right, don't forget Goldilocks, Yeah just right?
- 36:43Speaker 3: Yeah, No, I'm thinking about Goldilocks. Right, it's not the game.
- 36:49Speaker 1: He was anticipating that we would choose, and I would
- 36:52Speaker 1: tell you know your audience.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Of course me and Mikey are gonna choose that.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Which game?
- 36:59Speaker 3: Taylor?
- 37:00Speaker 8: I heard Izzy first.
- 37:02Speaker 4: He just wanted to do me a favor, favor. We're
- 37:05Speaker 4: never going to play that other game.
- 37:06Speaker 6: Okay, we can.
- 37:07Speaker 8: All agree, Ohio, let's play that other Ohio state.
- 37:10Speaker 3: I won too, right, just right.
- 37:13Speaker 5: I need sired Sam talking here. They didn't want to
- 37:16Speaker 5: blame Sam, but I heard Sam talking.
- 37:17Speaker 3: They did it to me earlier. I was trying to
- 37:22Speaker 3: do his job. Who was going to kick us off
- 37:25Speaker 3: or do me a favor? I will all right, thank you?
- 37:30Speaker 6: Do me a favorite HBO. No good teams on hard Knocks.
- 37:33Speaker 7: Okay, hard Knocks is so much better when it's a
- 37:36Speaker 7: bunch of bottom beaters all fighting for roster spots, don't
- 37:39Speaker 7: I don't need to see them getting super Bowl rings.
- 37:42Speaker 7: I don't care about it. This guy's really good. Yeah,
- 37:45Speaker 7: we know they won the Super Bowl. Showed me the
- 37:47Speaker 7: bottom beaters. That's what I want to watch. Who is
- 37:51Speaker 7: this year's team on Hordnock Seahawks? It's the Seahawks.
- 37:54Speaker 8: Really, that would explain why they were getting Super Bowl rings.
- 37:59Speaker 3: I haven't watched What do you mean? I know, but
- 38:01Speaker 3: it just said that.
- 38:01Speaker 6: By the way, Dame just right, I think is just right?
- 38:06Speaker 3: Where are they right? Five?
- 38:09Speaker 8: Too low? I'm with Mikey.
- 38:14Speaker 5: The appeal for hard knocks is seeing the dysfunction and
- 38:18Speaker 5: too much. Right now, we're having too many teams have
- 38:21Speaker 5: to say. I saw a Baker Mayfield talking about his
- 38:24Speaker 5: Quarterback show and he was like, I got final approval.
- 38:28Speaker 5: Clips went out, and it's like, I don't really want
- 38:29Speaker 5: to watch a show where Baker Mayfield is the director.
- 38:33Speaker 4: That's I feel like the Seahawks are just generally boring,
- 38:35Speaker 4: Like I don't really there's nothing about Sam Darnald I
- 38:37Speaker 4: really need to know other than hey, can he win
- 38:39Speaker 4: a primetime game?
- 38:41Speaker 3: Obviously he can. Now winning is boring. I guess.
- 38:45Speaker 6: Did you just confuse Sam Donald with Kirk Cousins.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Oh, yes, I did, Sam Donald was yes, I did.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Wow. Mediocre quarterbacks that turned good are very interchangeable, and
- 38:57Speaker 4: you were laughing at me.
- 38:59Speaker 5: I can go next for doing me a favor. So
- 39:02Speaker 5: Freddy Peralta reportedly had to arrange a meeting between Francisco
- 39:05Speaker 5: Lindor and Juan Soto because their relationship had gotten that
- 39:09Speaker 5: freight in New York on the Mets, Lynn Dorin Soto,
- 39:13Speaker 5: do me a favor. Figure it out. It's baseball, Like,
- 39:16Speaker 5: what's your personalities to the side. You guys are on
- 39:18Speaker 5: a bad team. Start winning up with you?
- 39:21Speaker 6: Is he have on?
- 39:22Speaker 4: Yeah, do me a favor, Jackson Dark. Ghetto for yourself, man, Like,
- 39:26Speaker 4: this guy hasn't won or done anything. And then in
- 39:29Speaker 4: practice today apparently he scored a touchdown and then threw
- 39:33Speaker 4: the football, flick the football out of it at the
- 39:35Speaker 4: helmet of one of his defenders. I'm like, what are
- 39:38Speaker 4: you doing?
- 39:39Speaker 3: Man?
- 39:39Speaker 4: You should be I mean, your teammates's best friend right now,
- 39:42Speaker 4: because they're all supporting you and you really haven't done
- 39:45Speaker 4: anything yet and everybody's labeling you a star.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Come on, Jackson Dark, do me a favor tomorrow. Let's
- 39:53Speaker 1: play too high, too low, or just right?
- 39:57Speaker 3: We chose the wrong game.
- 40:00Speaker 8: A m at eight, too low on ninth, just right?
- 40:06Speaker 1: All right, Let's get to this dreaded list, the one
- 40:08Speaker 1: hundred greatest dot Com the one hundred greatest baseball players.
- 40:12Speaker 1: According to a guy named Jake, it's been a big
- 40:14Speaker 1: baseball hour. You feel like we're doing too much baseball?
- 40:16Speaker 3: Is he?
- 40:17Speaker 4: I mean no, I was thinking about this the other day,
- 40:19Speaker 4: like I was trying to figure out if there is
- 40:21Speaker 4: a sport that can be created. I feel like pickleball
- 40:23Speaker 4: had its chance and missed out right of taking this month, right,
- 40:27Speaker 4: or like any non World Cup year. I guess right,
- 40:30Speaker 4: because the World Cup had about a month there, take
- 40:32Speaker 4: a couple of months and just own it and it's
- 40:34Speaker 4: just there for the taking, and nobody's really figured that out.
- 40:37Speaker 5: As an all branch to the audience, I just wrote
- 40:39Speaker 5: down a question that we'll talk about tomorrow. Will the
- 40:41Speaker 5: Cowboys be good or will the Cowboys be bad?
- 40:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I want.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Yes, we have to start, Yes, we have to start
- 40:49Speaker 1: shifting towards football man. Mike Delco was on, that's the
- 40:52Speaker 1: start of the season for us. Anyway, where do we
- 40:59Speaker 1: leave off with the list? It was fifty Charlie Hustle,
- 41:02Speaker 1: Pete Rose.
- 41:02Speaker 6: Yes, yes, that was the last name we had.
- 41:05Speaker 3: All right, go to number forty nine and do it quickly.
- 41:08Speaker 7: Number forty nine, Yes, Kurt Shilling, Kurt Shilling ahead of
- 41:13Speaker 7: Pete Rose.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Ahead of Derek Cheter, Joe DiMaggio. I'm sorry, Kurt Shilling
- 41:17Speaker 3: wasn't better Derek Jeter. That's all he hears about. Number
- 41:23Speaker 3: forty eight.
- 41:24Speaker 6: Please number forty eight, Carl Yastremsky.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Yes, as deserving? Is he catcher? Well?
- 41:31Speaker 6: What was ys?
- 41:32Speaker 3: Was y as a catcher? Was her? First basement? No,
- 41:37Speaker 3: somebody gonna tell me the answer. You're just gonna say no.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Might go through all the yes, third basement, no outfielder.
- 41:43Speaker 5: Yes, Yes, In hindsight, Kurt Shilling might have had Derek
- 41:47Speaker 5: Jeter's number that Red Sox team with the Bloody Sock
- 41:50Speaker 5: and two thousand and one with the Diamondbacks.
- 41:52Speaker 6: I was at that game where you did for that game. Yeah,
- 41:56Speaker 6: didn't know anything about the bloody Sock. I couldn't see
- 41:59Speaker 6: it from my seats. What the hell are you talking about?
- 42:02Speaker 3: How many wins does Kurt Schilling have? I mean, what
- 42:04Speaker 3: are we doing here?
- 42:07Speaker 1: There's no way he's the forty eighth greatest baseball player
- 42:09Speaker 1: of all time?
- 42:11Speaker 7: Well he's not. He's the forty George Brett.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it's all I think of when I hate George Brett.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Pine Tar deserving George Brett. Next one, Mikey.
- 42:29Speaker 6: Number forty six, Chipper Jones.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Named his child Shay because he owned the Mets. There's
- 42:38Speaker 3: just no way that he is better than some of
- 42:40Speaker 3: these other players. But okay, name one name, what one
- 42:44Speaker 3: name one player that's not better than Yes, Joe Demaggio, Jeter, Jeter.
- 42:50Speaker 3: What I said, I parroted Jeter. I don't know if
- 42:53Speaker 3: I believe that.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Actually, Number forty five, I think Honus Wagner, that's just one.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Of those names.
- 43:01Speaker 4: I don't I don't know what position he was, but
- 43:02Speaker 4: I know he was one of the greats there.
- 43:04Speaker 3: We got a short time.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Oh well, I think his career batting average was like
- 43:08Speaker 1: three seventy eight.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Look it up. I could be wrong.
- 43:11Speaker 7: I feel like Honus Wagner was the first ever picture
- 43:14Speaker 7: taken because it's that old picture.
- 43:16Speaker 6: You see Honus Wagner with the musk.
- 43:18Speaker 3: It looks like a portrait. It doesn't even look like
- 43:20Speaker 3: a picture.
- 43:20Speaker 8: The baseball one, right, Mikey.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Yes, that's why the card is so valuable. It's the
- 43:23Speaker 3: first picture picture ever taken.
- 43:27Speaker 5: He also didn't have a mustache. Very clean shaven Wagner was, Yeah,
- 43:31Speaker 5: was he Mandela Effect.
- 43:32Speaker 3: I'm famously clean shaven.
- 43:34Speaker 6: I think so. Really Anyway, Number forty four Steve Carlton
- 43:37Speaker 6: h Lefty.
- 43:41Speaker 4: Honus Wagner also looked one hundred years old his entire life. Yes,
- 43:45Speaker 4: rough times back then, man.
- 43:48Speaker 1: There are questions as to whether or not Honus Wagner exists.
- 43:52Speaker 8: There are questions if we're ever going to finish this list.
- 43:55Speaker 3: God, I regret starting it.
- 43:58Speaker 6: Well, you know what'll help. Number forty three Jim Palmer Jimmy,
- 44:04Speaker 6: I remember him from commercials, Yes, but I don't know
- 44:06Speaker 6: for what Isatna gloves him and Marina they both did that.
- 44:09Speaker 3: And Haines, Yes, I probably remember those.
- 44:13Speaker 6: He was a good looking man.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Jim Bomber also part of a rotation in which all
- 44:17Speaker 1: four guys had twenty wins in one season.
- 44:19Speaker 3: About that, yeah, Jack, look at me.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Well, Malkiper told me that, Hiper, he's the biggest Orioles
- 44:28Speaker 1: family know.
- 44:29Speaker 3: Number forty whatever.
- 44:31Speaker 6: Forty two Willie Stargell, Billy.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Starley Klein Willy College did Yes, the head coach at Kentucky.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Forty one.
- 44:45Speaker 6: Number forty one it's Ricky.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Ricky Henderson just in case you were wondering if it
- 44:54Speaker 3: was Ricky Leday.
- 44:58Speaker 6: Wow, great name.
- 44:59Speaker 8: Yeah, I just purked whatever.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Yeah, regular day made me happy, I know, because he's
- 45:03Speaker 1: a Yankee, and it's a name that makes you smile.
- 45:06Speaker 6: He was so upset when he got traded. He was
- 45:09Speaker 6: so devastated.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Wait, so who was the last It was Ricky Henderson.
- 45:12Speaker 1: He's a top ten player of all time.
- 45:14Speaker 6: No, he's number forty one.
- 45:16Speaker 1: According to Jake, number forty please, Warren Spahn, All right,
- 45:23Speaker 1: I'm getting tired of this list.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Just rapid fire the entire thirties for us. Go ahead,
- 45:28Speaker 3: just go.
- 45:28Speaker 7: Number thirty nine, Jimmy Fox, number thirty eight, Joe Morgan
- 45:33Speaker 7: number thirty seven, Johnny Bench number thirty six, Reggie Jackson, Yes,

- 45:51Speaker 7: Miguel Cabrera.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Wow, take on a second.
- 45:56Speaker 4: I was told Miguel Cabrera might be the greatest right
- 45:59Speaker 4: handed hitter of all time.
- 46:01Speaker 3: He's in the thirties. Yeah, make your own list.
- 46:07Speaker 5: I think he was doing another cute thing there because
- 46:09Speaker 5: Frank Thomas was thirty five.
- 46:12Speaker 3: He can't do that. I mean, guys care about where
