Speaker 1: It's I Do Part two, and it's Alexis Billino and
• 0:17
Speaker 1: Joe Dala Rosa, both from Royal Housewives of Orange County,
• 0:22
Speaker 1: co hosting this episode today. And we are here today
• 0:25
Speaker 1: to discuss my recent wedding and also get some juice
• 0:30
Speaker 1: from Joe about her wedding in twenty twenty two.
• 0:33
Speaker 2: So it's going to be a good day.
• 0:35
Speaker 3: Hi Joe, Hello, missus Jansen.
• 0:41
Speaker 2: It's so funny to hear that I still am not
• 0:43
Speaker 2: used to it. It makes me sweat a little.
• 0:45
Speaker 3: I know, I'm still literally in the clouds from your wedding,
• 0:49
  Speaker 3: so me too.
• 0:50
Speaker 4: You know, first of all, I have so much to
• 0:53
Speaker 4: talk to you about, so many questions because we haven't
• 0:55
Speaker 4: really caught up from the wedding since the wedding.
• 0:56
Speaker 2: But so I want the audience to get to know
• 0:59
Speaker 2: a little bit about you.
• 1:00
Speaker 1: And obviously I just said you were married in twenty
• 1:02
Speaker 1: twenty two and I was at your wedding, and then
• 1:05
Speaker 1: here we are full circle, right Well, sirch but you
• 1:09
Speaker 1: know this is I Do Part two and you're not
• 1:11
Speaker 1: a Part two or because you've this is your first marriage.
• 1:13
Speaker 1: But we all don't get the first time right like
• 1:16
Speaker 1: you did. Okay, So just curious. You were married in
• 1:19
Speaker 1: your forties though, So what was it like experiencing that
• 1:23
Speaker 1: when a lot of I mean, it's forty is really
• 1:25
Speaker 1: the new thirty, but people start getting married at twenty
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: and thirty.
• 1:28
Speaker 2: So what did that feel like for you? Or did
• 1:30
  Speaker 2: not anything?
• 1:31
  Speaker 4: Really?
• 1:31
  Speaker 5: Yeah?
• 1:32
Speaker 3: I think yeah, it was definitely different, like waiting to
• 1:36
Speaker 3: get married older. I feel like I got to live
• 1:39
Speaker 3: a lot more life in terms of like my single
• 1:41
Speaker 3: days and like figuring out who I was without like
• 1:44
Speaker 3: a significant other from a marriage perspective, right, And also
• 1:49
Speaker 3: I didn't get it right the first time in the
• 1:52
Speaker 3: sense of, like you you remember, she's been engaged three
• 1:56
Speaker 3: times and third time was the time for me?
• 1:59
Speaker 2: You know what this should be. This should be called
• 2:02
Speaker 2: I do Part two or engage part three.
• 2:05
Speaker 5: Literally, and I'll be the expert on that.
• 2:08
Speaker 1: You're right, you didn't get it right the first time. Okay,
• 2:10
Speaker 1: well yeah, cuche but yeah, okay, So my question to
• 2:14
Speaker 1: you is, like you just called me missus Jansen, Like
• 2:17
Speaker 1: was it weird for you at first? Or I mean,
• 2:19
Speaker 1: I know you go by great or you know Jala
• 2:22
Speaker 1: Rosa still some and you have Gray as your legal name,
• 2:25
Speaker 1: but like, yeah, was.
• 2:26
Speaker 2: It weird for you?
• 2:27
Speaker 1: Because right now it's weird when people say, and I
• 2:28
Speaker 1: still go, it's Alexis Bilino calling to get Miles out
• 2:31
Speaker 1: of fifth period, you know, and I'm like, I mean Janssen,
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: you know.
• 2:34
Speaker 5: But yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 2:36
Speaker 3: It definitely took some getting used to. I think in
• 2:38
Speaker 3: the beginning I wanted to be Dala Rosa Gray because
• 2:42
Speaker 3: I was like, oh, well, you know, uh, Kim Kardashian
• 2:46
Speaker 3: did Kim Kardashian West, Not that I'm like a Kim Kardashian,
• 2:49
Speaker 3: but you know what I mean, Like, there's people with
• 2:51
Speaker 3: long last names that also added another last name, where
• 2:54
Speaker 3: like Kardashian Barker, right, not as using the Kardashians as
• 2:59
Speaker 3: an egg for last name marriage, but yes I did.
• 3:03
Speaker 5: And I was like, well, if they have long names.
• 3:05
Speaker 3: You know, two together, then maybe I'll try it too.
• 3:08
Speaker 3: But then it got a little bit annoying when you're
• 3:10
Speaker 3: like talking to like banks or like credit card whatever
• 3:13
Speaker 3: it is, and you're like Dela Rosa Gray and then
• 3:16
Speaker 3: you're spelling it. So that lasted for about a good
• 3:18
Speaker 3: six months, and then I got over that really quick.
• 3:21
Speaker 3: I ended up going back to just Dela Rosa, and
• 3:25
Speaker 3: I'm still Gray, like legally with all of my like
• 3:29
Speaker 3: personal stuff banking, credit cards and stuff like that. And
• 3:32
Speaker 3: it's cute because they go, like, mister and missus Gray,
• 3:35
Speaker 3: your table's ready at.
• 3:36
Speaker 5: Like reservations, you know. Yeah, so yeah, what about you?
• 3:39
Speaker 5: Do you feel like.
• 3:40
Speaker 1: You it's actually the same or hyphenating or just no,
• 3:45
Speaker 1: we talked about that, but I feel like I am
• 3:47
Speaker 1: in the same boat as you, exactly what you just said.
• 3:49
Speaker 2: I'm sat there going, gosh, that's how I feel too.
• 3:51
  Speaker 2: But like we.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: Talked about hyphenating it, it was, you know, John's like,
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: but you're you're you're you know, you're a Jansen now,
• 3:57
Speaker 1: and so I'm like, I get it, You're right I am.
• 3:59
Speaker 1: And also, so you know, my my career is kind
• 4:02
Speaker 1: of Billino, and I know that Tamra had to go
• 4:04
Speaker 1: through this when she switched to Judge.
• 4:06
Speaker 2: So I'm just trying to figure all of all of
• 4:08
  Speaker 2: that out.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: But I am legally a Jansen, so everything will be
• 4:11
Speaker 1: converted to Jansen. I mean, and I did take his
• 4:14
Speaker 1: last name, but I am in that weird interim. You know,
• 4:17
Speaker 1: I'm only what four days married, five days married, So no,
• 4:20
Speaker 1: Tomorrow's a week, so six days married. So so I
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: think I'll get I think it'll get there. It's just
• 4:25
Speaker 1: gonna take a little bit of time for me to
• 4:27
Speaker 1: figure out that and navigate that, and maybe I'll get
• 4:30
Speaker 1: so sick of it being like, no, I am all.
• 4:31
Speaker 2: Likes this Billino because of my career. People think of
• 4:33
  Speaker 2: me from.
• 4:34
Speaker 1: That career, and then I'll just you know, go for
• 4:36
Speaker 1: that part of the time. And Jansen, you know, most
• 4:38
Speaker 1: people know I'm Jansen.
• 4:39
Speaker 2: I don't know. There's so much new right now.
• 4:41
Speaker 1: Have you even recovered from the wedding, Like I was
• 4:43
Speaker 1: so sore the next day all of.
• 4:46
Speaker 3: The tequila at your tequila bar that we had, or
• 4:50
Speaker 3: by we, I mean me.
• 4:52
Speaker 5: I'm still recovering a little bit. I'm not gonna lie.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: That was John's idea because all of his frat brothers,
• 4:58
Speaker 1: you know, they love they love good tequila's and the
• 5:01
Speaker 1: tequilas he wanted to serve the hotel the resort couldn't
• 5:03
Speaker 1: get and so he did this tequila bar. And I
• 5:06
Speaker 1: only partook in one of them because I'm not a
• 5:08
Speaker 1: big tequila girl, and so but yeah, it was just
• 5:11
Speaker 1: a cute idea. It was cute, so I'm sorry that
• 5:13
Speaker 1: everyone hurt so bad the next day from that, Oh,
• 5:15
Speaker 1: I mean worth it.
• 5:16
Speaker 5: That's all I have to say it.
• 5:18
Speaker 3: Oh wait, I feel like we're already talking about the reception, Like,
• 5:21
Speaker 3: let's take this thing from the top. First of all,
• 5:24
Speaker 3: let's talk about your ceremony. Oh my gosh, alexis that
• 5:29
Speaker 3: ceremony was literally the most romantic thing. First of all,
• 5:34
Speaker 3: I loved that you had you and John in the middle,
• 5:38
Speaker 3: everybody around it, so you felt like everybody felt. It
• 5:42
Speaker 3: was very like an immersive ceremony because it didn't matter
• 5:46
Speaker 3: where you would sit, like where you were sitting, we
• 5:49
Speaker 3: could see you. But the sweetest part you walking down
• 5:53
Speaker 3: the aisle with your kids.
• 5:55
Speaker 5: How did that feel?
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: Like?
• 5:57
Speaker 5: What was that moment like?
• 5:58
Speaker 3: Because the first time you didn't have kids time you
• 6:00
Speaker 3: were married, So tell me a little bit about that.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: It was, you know, the whole circle thing was is
• 6:05
Speaker 1: the circle of love. We decided we wanted to try
• 6:07
Speaker 1: something new and my wedding planner. I was like, is
• 6:09
Speaker 1: this gonna work or is it a total flop? Like
• 6:11
Speaker 1: John and I really wanted it to happen, And she goes,
• 6:13
Speaker 1: we're trying it, Lex, We're gonna make it work. It's
• 6:14
Speaker 1: such a creative idea, we're gonna make it work. And
• 6:17
Speaker 1: so but my, So that's where that came from. And
• 6:19
Speaker 1: I'm so glad that everyone has said that. I haven't
• 6:22
Speaker 1: heard one person complain and say I couldn't really see
• 6:24
Speaker 1: because I kind of thought, well, everyone kind of still
• 6:26
Speaker 1: saw the back of someone. Someone saw the back of
• 6:27
Speaker 1: the pastor, someone saw the back of my head, someone
• 6:29
Speaker 1: saw the back of John's head. But you still do
• 6:31
Speaker 1: feel because it wasn't as many rows back. You're not
• 6:33
Speaker 1: ten rows back. It's three or four rows around, so
• 6:36
Speaker 1: you're still, like you said, you're closer.
• 6:38
Speaker 2: And then for the children, it was John.
• 6:40
Speaker 1: And I both knew like the only wedding party we
• 6:43
Speaker 1: were having were our six kids. So his children, you know,
• 6:45
Speaker 1: if you saw that, his children walked him up with
• 6:47
Speaker 1: the pastor, his daughter's arm in arm, and the sun
• 6:50
Speaker 1: with the pastor. And then I got to see this
• 6:52
Speaker 1: girl I got. I haven't got to share any of
• 6:54
Speaker 1: these things I got. They we were up in my
• 6:56
Speaker 1: holding room getting ready to bring me down and James goes, mom,
• 6:59
Speaker 1: come here, and I go over and I see them
• 7:01
Speaker 1: and I start crying, and everyone's like blowing in my
• 7:03
Speaker 1: face and going stop stop, because it was so precious
• 7:05
Speaker 1: to see John and his kids walking up. And then
• 7:08
Speaker 1: I'm like, oh gosh, this is for like I'm literally
• 7:10
Speaker 1: going down there right now, and so then get myself together.
• 7:13
Speaker 1: And then walking down the aisle with my kids was
• 7:16
Speaker 1: so surreal because Kenna was right in front, you know,
• 7:18
Speaker 1: doing like dropping a couple of pedals when the pedals
• 7:20
Speaker 1: we already there, but just to do something. And then
• 7:22
Speaker 1: I was arm in arm with James and Miles, and
• 7:24
Speaker 1: it was they were not nervous. I was like, this
• 7:26
Speaker 1: is a big deal to ask teenagers, you know, around
• 7:28
Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty people walking down the aisle with
• 7:31
Speaker 1: your mom. The first wedding that Miles had ever been
• 7:33
Speaker 1: to is walking his mom down the aisle, and I
• 7:36
Speaker 1: just thought it was the most special thing.
• 7:38
Speaker 2: I don't know how I kept it together.
• 7:40
Speaker 1: I kept telling the kids anytime i think I'm going
• 7:43
Speaker 1: to cry, I'm and a say hemorrhoid in my head. Okay,
• 7:44
Speaker 1: like that's just like that's just something that would like
• 7:46
Speaker 1: make me laugh really fast.
• 7:48
Speaker 2: So I read it.
• 7:49
Speaker 1: I'm not kidding you. It's just the funniest thing I
• 7:51
Speaker 1: could think of. I'm like what could I could say
• 7:52
Speaker 1: that's not as funny.
• 7:53
Speaker 2: Like what do you know? I was just like, that's
• 7:55
Speaker 2: the funniest thing that I can think of. So I
• 7:57
  Speaker 2: did that worked?
• 7:59
Speaker 1: I mean I was like I just get out of
• 8:01
Speaker 1: myself for a second and be like can you know?
• 8:03
Speaker 1: And then and then I kind of chuckle and move on.
• 8:05
Speaker 1: But it was really hard to fight back the tears
• 8:07
Speaker 1: even walking down the aisle. So I think I had
• 8:09
Speaker 1: a couple because I remember watching one video someone had
• 8:11
Speaker 1: and I right where I got to John, I grabbed
• 8:14
Speaker 1: my kerchief and I like was dabbing my eyes.
• 8:17
Speaker 3: So yeah, you even saw John get so emotional, like
• 8:20
Speaker 3: I didn't see it, Yes, when you were walking down
• 8:23
Speaker 3: like before, like you could tell I got it on video,
• 8:26
Speaker 3: and like you literally just see like how overwhelmed with
• 8:30
Speaker 3: emotion he is to see you walking down like up
• 8:34
Speaker 3: to him, And can we please talk about your dress?
• 8:40
Speaker 3: I need all the details because I was there. I
• 8:44
Speaker 3: am in Scottsdale. All your girls we went to get
• 8:48
Speaker 3: the dress, but when I saw you just you know,
• 8:50
Speaker 3: because none of us saw that beautiful dress, So I
• 8:54
Speaker 3: don't even know all the details. Give me the dress details,
• 8:57
Speaker 3: because you looked like I'm you always look incredible, Alexis, truly,
• 9:02
Speaker 3: from the bottom of my heart, you were breathtaking. We
• 9:05
Speaker 3: were all like like we literally had to like take
• 9:07
Speaker 3: a beat, like, sincerely, I've never seen you look just
• 9:11
Speaker 3: so stunning and glad that because.
• 9:14
Speaker 2: That dress took a lot of work.
• 9:15
Speaker 1: Like Julie from Modern Bride, you met her, we started
• 9:19
Speaker 1: with one thing, and then I kept calling her and
• 9:21
Speaker 1: I go I kept going, okay, wait, I need to
• 9:23
Speaker 1: add this weight. I want to change this weight. It's
• 9:24
Speaker 1: I don't like that color. It's not the perfect color.
• 9:26
Speaker 1: We I flew out there probably four or five times
• 9:29
Speaker 1: just to help get it all together, make the vision
• 9:31
Speaker 1: come to light. And I was you have to pray
• 9:33
Speaker 1: you no joke, cause it's not like I could try
• 9:34
Speaker 1: it on, like they're customizing that gown for me. They
• 9:36
Speaker 1: took my vision and Julie's help of the vision and
• 9:40
Speaker 1: going Nope, you have to do this, Alexis, No, you
• 9:42
Speaker 1: need to do this, and you have to.
• 9:43
  Speaker 2: Trust the process.
• 9:44
Speaker 1: And then when the dress comes you're kind of like,
• 9:46
Speaker 1: oh my gosh, let's cross our fingers because you don't
• 9:48
Speaker 1: get a trial and error. And so what you guys
• 9:51
Speaker 1: saw was just the beginning. I remember when I walked
• 9:53
Speaker 1: out Joe when we were at that and I said,
• 9:55
  Speaker 1: this is the.
• 9:55
Speaker 2: One, and you guys were all like yay.
• 9:57
Speaker 1: And then I think that to Julie and I'm like, Julie,
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: that's the one, except I want to do a B, C, D, E, F,
• 10:01
  Speaker 1: G and H.
• 10:02
Speaker 2: And she's like, that's not this dress. Then she's like,
• 10:04
Speaker 2: we got to start from scratch.
• 10:05
Speaker 1: We got to completely She's like, we're just going back
• 10:07
Speaker 1: to drawing boards and starting from complete scratch.
• 10:10
Speaker 2: So from that moment that you went with me, we
• 10:12
Speaker 2: sit the next six months recreating the entire thing.
• 10:15
Speaker 3: And I was gonna say, because it looks so different
• 10:17
Speaker 3: than what I remembered a scene at Modern Ride, so okay,
• 10:21
Speaker 3: now that makes sense. It Also I loved that it
• 10:24
Speaker 3: was like your skin color because it was like a
• 10:27
Speaker 3: netted material, right or mash yeah, with silk underneath, but
• 10:31
Speaker 3: silk underneath, Okay. I couldn't like see it, of course,
• 10:33
Speaker 3: but then like with the little crystals like all through it.
• 10:37
Speaker 5: Right, it was just so.
• 10:37
Speaker 1: Beating everywhere, and then she had the hair piece made
• 10:40
Speaker 1: exactly to match the beating, so it was all just
• 10:42
Speaker 1: very customized and very you know, and I mean, I
• 10:45
Speaker 1: don't mind if anyone wants to call her and then
• 10:47
Speaker 1: they can do the same dress and a different color.
• 10:49
Speaker 1: I don't know, but I mean for those brides that
• 10:51
Speaker 1: don't want to, you know, the second time around, Joe,
• 10:53
Speaker 1: I just well, third for me, but I don't count
• 10:55
Speaker 1: my first one. But I feel like I feel like
• 10:59
Speaker 1: I didn't want to be in white or cream or
• 11:01
Speaker 1: anything of that. So I just and I think other
• 11:02
Speaker 1: brides do. I think was that there was some other
• 11:04
Speaker 1: housewife that were black her I forget which one it was,
• 11:09
Speaker 1: Kelly DoD Kelly Dodd, I think we're black as her
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: wedding gown.
• 11:12
Speaker 2: And so it's okay, it's unique, you know.
• 11:15
  Speaker 5: Do you?
• 11:15
  Speaker 3: I mean, it's I think it's your wedding day, whether
• 11:18
Speaker 3: the bride wants to be traditional or untraditional, like do
• 11:22
Speaker 3: whatever feels like you like tarn and I we didn't
• 11:25
Speaker 3: do a garter thing. We did a fake garter thing,
• 11:28
Speaker 3: like you know when they go underneath your dress and
• 11:30
Speaker 3: all of that, because like.
• 11:33
Speaker 2: I was there, so what do you what do you mean?
• 11:34
Speaker 2: I forget that part.
• 11:36
Speaker 3: Well because his grandparents like we're there and like it
• 11:40
Speaker 3: was like this whole thing where like He's like, I
• 11:42
Speaker 3: don't know, honey, I don't want to go under your
• 11:44
Speaker 3: dress and grab it with my.
• 11:45
Speaker 5: Teeth and like my grandparents or that. And I was like, Okay,
• 11:48
Speaker 5: we don't have to do it all like that.
• 11:49
Speaker 3: But he did something even better, which is he did
• 11:51
Speaker 3: a fake out where he went under my stirg went
• 11:55
Speaker 3: under my dress, pretending like he was about to pull
• 11:57
Speaker 3: it out. And then he gets up and he's like nah,
• 11:59
Speaker 3: and he's takes up the guitar and starts playing a
• 12:02
Speaker 3: song that he wrote me and performed like that was
• 12:05
Speaker 3: so much more amazing. So that's what I'm saying, untraditional,
• 12:08
Speaker 3: but I think every bride should do what they feel like,
• 12:11
Speaker 3: if it's black, if it's whatever it is.
• 12:13
Speaker 1: So your wedding was insane, by the way. I loved
• 12:15
Speaker 1: every minute of it. It was so heartfelt. I do
• 12:17
Speaker 1: remember him singing that song to you, and everybody was
• 12:20
Speaker 1: teary eyed and just.
• 12:21
Speaker 2: Like you were like you were blown away.
• 12:24
Speaker 1: You're like the look on your face the whole time
• 12:25
Speaker 1: was like you were speechless.
• 12:27
Speaker 2: You know, it was just I love those moments.
• 12:28
Speaker 1: Those are the moments that make your wedding yours, you know,
• 12:31
Speaker 1: whether it's the first, second, third, fourth for some people.
• 12:34
Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, And.
• 12:35
Speaker 3: I really loved the part where you played worship music.
• 12:38
Speaker 3: That song came on before you even start at the ceremony,
• 12:41
Speaker 3: and you did things for you with like the rose,
• 12:44
Speaker 3: like the roses beloved lost. I've never seen that done.
• 12:48
Speaker 3: So that was also such a beautiful moment. We all
• 12:51
  Speaker 3: lost it.
• 12:51
Speaker 2: So oh gosh. I was trying not to let people
• 12:53
Speaker 2: cry as much as I thought I would be crying.
• 12:55
Speaker 2: But I wanted when.
• 12:56
Speaker 1: I was picking my song to walk down the aisle
• 12:58
Speaker 1: to I. And I was now going to walk down
• 13:00
Speaker 1: the aisle. My kids are the ones that made me
• 13:02
Speaker 1: do it, because they're like and John's kids, all six
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: kids said Alexis.
• 13:05
Speaker 2: You have to walk to my dad. You have to
• 13:06
Speaker 2: walk to John, you know.
• 13:08
Speaker 1: Like But I went through song after song after song,
• 13:11
Speaker 1: and it was literally the week before the wedding, and
• 13:13
Speaker 1: I called my the host that was doing all of
• 13:15
Speaker 1: the entertainment, gentleman Casey, and I just said, changed again,
• 13:19
Speaker 1: and I've got the song. And he goes John and said,
• 13:22
Speaker 1: but that song it's Oceans, the worship song by Hillsong,
• 13:25
Speaker 1: and he goes, that's John's Like, that song's not as
• 13:27
Speaker 1: impactful with just the stream quartet, and he's like, you
• 13:30
Speaker 1: need to have a singer.
• 13:30
Speaker 2: Guess what I did.
• 13:32
Speaker 1: Called my church and I'm like, ooh, from a church
• 13:34
Speaker 1: could sing this song.
• 13:35
Speaker 2: Walcome me down the aisle in a week's time.
• 13:37
Speaker 1: We got to make this happen. So we did that
• 13:39
Speaker 1: all last minute. It was my worship leader from church.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: His name's Joey Insane, and it just and then I said,
• 13:45
Speaker 1: and by the way, Pastor. When I was talking to
• 13:47
Speaker 1: my pastor, I said, I don't want it to end.
• 13:50
Speaker 1: I want to take I want to take John and
• 13:51
  Speaker 1: I a minute and a half or a minute longer
• 13:53
Speaker 1: and just get God in service. So we were kind
• 13:55
Speaker 1: of sitting there, John and I were worshiping alone together
• 13:58
Speaker 1: with I mean the crowd and everyone that song. But
• 14:01
Speaker 1: it was just our moment of saying, God, we are
• 14:03
Speaker 1: really doing this before you. We want you here with us.
• 14:06
Speaker 1: So that is kind of where that all came from.
• 14:09
Speaker 1: I love that last minute Joe so special.
• 14:13
Speaker 5: I mean, you would have never known that.
• 14:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, by the way, never known what is a hiccup?
• 14:18
Speaker 1: I need to know a hiccup that happened during your
• 14:20
Speaker 1: wedding because I was there and I think we talked
• 14:23
Speaker 1: to the day or two after your wedding, but this
• 14:24
Speaker 1: is twenty twenty two.
• 14:25
Speaker 2: I can't remember if you had any massive thing.
• 14:28
Speaker 1: Yes I did, but you know you pulled it off
• 14:31
Speaker 1: because I mean, no one knew and I can't remember it.
• 14:33
Speaker 2: So okay, what was your massive thing?
• 14:34
Speaker 3: So what's funny is I didn't even know until after
• 14:38
Speaker 3: the wedding, like days after. So come to find out
• 14:41
Speaker 3: our wedding planner whoever, was going to help set up
• 14:46
Speaker 3: the tables that day, because you know, we had gotten
• 14:50
Speaker 3: a private home in the palace in Palisates Palsti's palasfurtis
• 14:56
Speaker 3: the States. I'm like, what year is that we brought
• 14:59
Speaker 3: every into this house to do this like enchanted forest wedding.
• 15:03
Speaker 3: So there's a lot more set up. The assistance didn't
• 15:08
Speaker 3: show up, or someone got sick, the crew got sick,
• 15:11
Speaker 3: so I had friends that had to step in to
• 15:14
  Speaker 3: help set up.
• 15:15
Speaker 2: Our tables on the day of the wedding.
• 15:18
Speaker 3: On the day so like because we have the ceremony
• 15:21
Speaker 3: and the reception all in the backyard, yea, so we
• 15:24
Speaker 3: you know, after the ceremony, people go to the side
• 15:27
Speaker 3: to get cocktail hour and then they flipped over the space,
• 15:30
Speaker 3: so I didn't know friends had to step in to
• 15:33
Speaker 3: help my planner, which is wild.
• 15:36
Speaker 2: Your planner reached out to your friends and not you.
• 15:40
  Speaker 3: You know, it's funny. I don't even know what I
• 15:41
Speaker 3: don't even know how it happened. All I know is, yeah,
• 15:44
Speaker 3: no one told me. They were like protecting me so
• 15:47
Speaker 3: that I could like enjoy it. But that's what I
• 15:49
Speaker 3: came to find out was my friends, some friends help.
• 15:52
Speaker 3: They had to jump in to help turn the space around.
• 15:55
Speaker 5: Crazy. Wait, what was the hiccup for you?
• 15:57
Speaker 1: I mean that is that is insane though, and then
• 15:59
Speaker 1: that it feel so special though for you because you're like,
• 16:02
Speaker 1: those people love me that much that they kept all
• 16:04
Speaker 1: of that from me and made my day and you
• 16:06
Speaker 1: did not know till the next day.
• 16:07
Speaker 3: Yeah, that is great friends, I mean days later. Yeah,
• 16:10
Speaker 3: keep those friends forever.
• 16:11
  Speaker 5: Yep.
• 16:22
Speaker 1: So I my hiccup, My biggest one was I'm literally
• 16:26
Speaker 1: telling I'm what twenty minutes from getting ready to go
• 16:30
Speaker 1: to my next place, which is another holding place. We
• 16:32
Speaker 1: just finished my prepictures going to the next holding place
• 16:35
Speaker 1: closer to the ceremony. Before they actually had to, we
• 16:37
Speaker 1: were on a golf course they had to which behind
• 16:39
Speaker 1: a canyon, but they had to drive the golf cart
• 16:41
Speaker 1: from my holding place a little bit with me in
• 16:43
Speaker 1: it before they had turned.
• 16:44
Speaker 2: John around so we couldn't see it.
• 16:46
Speaker 1: And then I get off the golf cart walk over
• 16:47
Speaker 1: to where the where the eyele is.
• 16:49
Speaker 2: But we're literally twenty minutes.
• 16:51
Speaker 1: From the golf cart picking me up to take me
• 16:53
Speaker 1: to my next holding place. And I sliced my finger
• 16:56
Speaker 1: on my perfume bottle that had like broken. I was,
• 16:58
Speaker 1: you know, vein trying to smell good for my wedding,
• 17:00
Speaker 1: which if I hadn't touched it, what happened and so
• 17:03
Speaker 1: slightly it had like shifted during getting moved from all
• 17:06
Speaker 1: the different rooms and stuff, and so the lid was
• 17:08
Speaker 1: kind of broken a little bit, but I didn't note it.
• 17:10
Speaker 1: So I'm trying to like straighten it out, and it
• 17:11
Speaker 1: just slip my finger. You can still see it. Look here, wait, wait, wait,
• 17:13
Speaker 1: how do I get it? Where's the camera?
• 17:15
  Speaker 2: Anyway?
• 17:15
Speaker 1: You can still see it. It needed stitches. I'm holding
• 17:18
Speaker 1: it for an hour. My son's an EMT, so he's like, mom, Mom,
• 17:21
Speaker 1: that does need stitches. We call the medics. Twenty minutes
• 17:23
Speaker 1: before call the medics.
• 17:25
  Speaker 2: They come up.
• 17:25
Speaker 1: They don't do stitches, they're only there to help band
• 17:27
Speaker 1: aid it or whatever. And I'm like, I can't wear
• 17:29
  Speaker 1: a band aid.
• 17:29
Speaker 2: To my wedding. And so then they're like, who's got
• 17:32
Speaker 2: super glue? So we literally super.
• 17:34
Speaker 1: Glued my finger together, glu super glued, opened to the wound,
• 17:37
Speaker 1: tried to get it to stop bleeding enough, put super glue
• 17:39
Speaker 1: in it. No one knows this, by the way, because
• 17:41
Speaker 1: I pulled it off without a hitch. But anyways, super
• 17:44
Speaker 1: glued my finger back together and we're still holding it.
• 17:47
Speaker 1: It's still bleeding. We're like, we have to wear a
• 17:48
Speaker 1: band aid. Les there's no way around it. I'm like
• 17:50
Speaker 1: trying to keep it off my wedding gown. I'm like,
• 17:52
Speaker 1: and I'm not freaking out at all. So my kids
• 17:53
Speaker 1: are there, so I'm playing it cool. I'm like, you guys,
• 17:55
  Speaker 1: it's gonna be fine. Mom's fine, everything's fine. Inside I'm
• 17:58
Speaker 1: not thinking everything's fine. I'm like, oh my effing.
• 18:01
Speaker 2: Goodness, you know, I didn't imagine.
• 18:03
Speaker 1: So it's over here, you know, way over here. While
• 18:05
Speaker 1: I'm standing there, it's dripping. And so then they're finally like, okay,
• 18:07
Speaker 1: we're a super glowed again, and we're sticking the band
• 18:09
Speaker 1: aid on, and they got me one that you couldn't
• 18:11
Speaker 1: really see, like a cusskin colored band aid. I had
• 18:14
Speaker 1: to go down the aisle with that, and so the
• 18:15
Speaker 1: whole time I'm just like, please, Jeremy, like, I hope.
• 18:17
Speaker 2: You can photoshop a band aid out of anything.
• 18:19
Speaker 5: You know, Oh my god, you would have honestly never
• 18:23
  Speaker 5: have known.
• 18:23
Speaker 1: Well, my adrenaline was so kicked in that I don't
• 18:26
Speaker 1: think I don't think it would have. You know, nothing's
• 18:28
Speaker 1: going to mess with me at that moment, because I'm
• 18:30
Speaker 1: so like, Okay, we're getting ready to do this.
• 18:31
Speaker 2: I'm walking down the aisle to my husband right now.
• 18:33
Speaker 1: So yeah, But isn't it funny that those little hiccups.
• 18:36
Speaker 1: I mean, if I would have put my the perfume
• 18:38
Speaker 1: on two hours before, it would have been such a
• 18:40
Speaker 1: big deal. But it's like, right when they're coming to
• 18:42
Speaker 1: get me, Oh my good.
• 18:43
Speaker 3: Yep, no a million for I didn't even know and
• 18:46
Speaker 3: you could even see it when you're walking, so your fine.
• 18:48
Speaker 3: I also thought it was interesting that you actually had
• 18:52
Speaker 3: a color palette for all of your guests, yes, the neutrals.
• 18:57
Speaker 5: And you literally forced me to not wear black.
• 19:00
Speaker 1: Oh, I know, honey, I thought. I even told John,
• 19:02
Speaker 1: I said, she might not come, Honey, she might not
• 19:04
Speaker 1: show up. So the reason behind that is because my
• 19:09
Speaker 1: last wedding was black tie and everything was everyone was
• 19:13
Speaker 1: in you know, the tuxedos, the dark A lot of
• 19:15
Speaker 1: gowns were dark everything, and it just didn't feel right
• 19:17
  Speaker 1: for this.
• 19:18
  Speaker 2: I wanted a whimsicult wedding.
• 19:19
Speaker 1: I wanted something that felt totally still glamorous, still top notched, still.
• 19:23
Speaker 2: Touxedo like, but I didn't want it to be.
• 19:26
Speaker 1: I wanted bright and airy or not bright, but like
• 19:28
Speaker 1: earth tones and just everyone to kind of you know,
• 19:30
Speaker 1: because my gown was going to stick out no matter
• 19:32
Speaker 1: what because of all of the amount of crystals it
• 19:35
Speaker 1: had on it, right, So it was like, it doesn't
• 19:37
  Speaker 1: I don't care that I don't stand out, and if
• 19:38
  Speaker 1: everybody's in tope, I don't care if everyone's in champagne
• 19:40
  Speaker 1: and tope.
• 19:41
Speaker 2: So that's kind of where that originated from.
• 19:44
Speaker 1: And so then my designer and wedding planner and myself
• 19:47
Speaker 1: and John all had to come up with which colors
• 19:49
Speaker 1: we thought would look good with the background and all that,
• 19:51
Speaker 1: and I mean it turned out incredible. I loved how
• 19:55
Speaker 1: the audience was. Yeah, they were just so beautiful the audience.
• 19:58
  Speaker 5: I love it.
• 19:59
Speaker 1: Okay, this is an audience. We have an audience taking out.
• 20:01
Speaker 1: Those were my guests.
• 20:03
Speaker 3: You know what's so funny is Galina and your best
• 20:07
Speaker 3: friend Mandy and then myself all wearing that really pretty
• 20:12
Speaker 3: sage green. We literally looked like your unofficial bridesmaids. That
• 20:17
Speaker 3: we started calling ourselves as a joke, your unofficial bridesmaids.
• 20:21
Speaker 3: And we hadn't even planned that because there's only so
• 20:23
Speaker 3: many neutral colors you can pick from, right, No, it was.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: I mean our color Collette had like the mob and
• 20:28
Speaker 1: the champagne and the ivory and like the gray and
• 20:32
Speaker 1: all that. Most a lot of the women were in
• 20:33
Speaker 1: a shade of green or a shade of some kind
• 20:36
Speaker 1: of a brownish topish color, which I think was beauty.
• 20:39
Speaker 1: It just worked out beautifully. But yeah, that was so funny.
• 20:41
Speaker 1: And I saw that post one if you posted that,
• 20:43
Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh, that's idd you basically are. I mean,
• 20:45
Speaker 1: you were my You were both at both of my shuindigs.
• 20:49
Speaker 5: All three of us were at everything.
• 20:51
Speaker 2: No, Mandy couldn't make Vegas.
• 20:53
Speaker 1: Mandy couldn't make But you guys kind of are my
• 20:55
Speaker 1: unofficial Like if there were bridesmaids, probably would have been you.
• 20:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, my kids, my kids superseded you.
• 21:03
Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, We're fine. It's your kids.
• 21:08
Speaker 2: Okay, So I have to ask you something.
• 21:09
  Speaker 1: It's kind of and and I don't know if I'm
• 21:11
Speaker 1: stipping off my balance here, but oh, you're fine.
• 21:14
Speaker 2: Okay. Now, I don't think you're going to like this
• 21:16
Speaker 2: very much, but I'm gonna do it there anyway.
• 21:17
Speaker 5: Let me take a set.
• 21:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, do you feel first of all, does it feel different?
• 21:21
Speaker 1: Did it feel different when you were married like once
• 21:23
Speaker 1: you once it officially happened, did you feel like your
• 21:25
Speaker 1: relationship instantly? Was there something different about it, like just
• 21:29
  Speaker 1: on another level?
• 21:30
Speaker 5: Yes, a million percent.
• 21:32
Speaker 2: Isn't that weird? Look to me, that's weird. I'm going
• 21:34
Speaker 2: somewhere with this, But isn't that so weird?
• 21:36
  Speaker 5: Yes?
• 21:36
Speaker 1: I did not expect that because I've been married before,
• 21:38
Speaker 1: and I think I was so young and maybe it
• 21:41
Speaker 1: just wasn't that because it was wasn't this man.
• 21:44
  Speaker 2: But I don't know.
• 21:44
Speaker 1: I just feel the minute we set our vowels and
• 21:48
Speaker 1: and and he God was there, and he blessed our
• 21:51
Speaker 1: union and we left as husband and wife.
• 21:53
Speaker 2: I just walking down that aisle.
• 21:55
Speaker 1: I remember shaking and holding Johnny's hand and feeling like
• 21:58
Speaker 1: this is just like now you're you're You're still mine
• 22:01
Speaker 1: and you've been mine all along, but now.
• 22:02
  Speaker 3: It's like a different mind. It's like wow, it's like
• 22:05
Speaker 3: more deeper. Yeah, instant intimate.
• 22:07
Speaker 1: Speaking about that's I'm saying that intimacy is on a
• 22:11
Speaker 1: whole other level even now.
• 22:12
Speaker 2: And you know, Johnny and.
• 22:13
Speaker 1: I do not have a problem with that, but I'm like,
• 22:15
Speaker 1: I have to ask Joe, is it I mean, we're
• 22:17
Speaker 1: both laying in there, We're.
• 22:18
Speaker 2: Like, this is so much different and better, like even better.
• 22:22
Speaker 2: I don't get it. It was it was instant, and
• 22:25
Speaker 2: john like, that's because we went before God. We did
• 22:27
Speaker 2: it before God. So there is something there is something to.
• 22:30
Speaker 1: Say about saying your vows and doing it in a
• 22:34
Speaker 1: you know, because at first, when I met John, I
• 22:36
Speaker 1: told him, but I was in a very broken state,
• 22:37
Speaker 1: but I told him I don't need to get married again.
• 22:40
  Speaker 2: I don't want I don't I don't even think I
• 22:41
Speaker 2: want to, you know.
• 22:42
Speaker 1: And then over the progression of our relationship that it
• 22:45
Speaker 1: felt like Okay, now, yes, I do want I want
• 22:47
Speaker 1: to be a chance and I want to be your wife.
• 22:48
Speaker 1: But to go from that to then now being married
• 22:52
Speaker 1: and feeling like it's even such a stronger bond is
• 22:54
  Speaker 1: just incredible, incredible.
• 22:56
Speaker 5: No, it's the most beautiful thing.
• 22:59
Speaker 3: And then my question is always like when people say
• 23:02
Speaker 3: their vows and they get married, right and then like
• 23:04
Speaker 3: five ten years later, there's like vowl renewals that people
• 23:09
Speaker 3: sometimes do or like don't do do you think that
• 23:12
Speaker 3: you would you think you guys would do a vow
• 23:15
Speaker 3: renewal or would you or would you not?
• 23:18
Speaker 1: I don't know about that, because you know, Jim and
• 23:20
Speaker 1: I did that right before we divorce. We did it
• 23:22
Speaker 1: actually on David Tutera's TV show. We did the vow
• 23:25
Speaker 1: renewal and that was in twenty sixteen, and we got
• 23:29
Speaker 1: divorced in twenty eighteen.
• 23:30
Speaker 2: And I knew when we did the vow renewal.
• 23:32
Speaker 1: I knew we were hanging on by a thread and
• 23:34
Speaker 1: we were trying everything at that point.
• 23:35
  Speaker 2: But haven't you.
• 23:36
Speaker 1: Heard the thing where people say if you get a
• 23:38
Speaker 1: tattoo matching tattoos, that's the kiss of death on a
• 23:40
Speaker 1: marriage or the ring finger tattoo. That's the kiss of death.
• 23:44
Speaker 1: And then also the vow renewal is a kiss of death.
• 23:46
Speaker 1: Do you like Vicky got Vicky? Vicky got her renewal
• 23:49
Speaker 1: done with Dawn, remember, because I was with her on
• 23:51
Speaker 1: during that time, filming with her on that. I wasn't
• 23:54
Speaker 1: at her valw renual, but I was on the show
• 23:55
Speaker 1: with her, I was friends with her, and then they
• 23:57
Speaker 1: got divorced like the next year.
• 23:58
Speaker 3: So does that do those kind of things worry you
• 24:01
  Speaker 3: at all? Honestly, I think it's superstitious. I never I've
• 24:06
Speaker 3: never heard the ring thing right. Ever, I obviously know
• 24:10
Speaker 3: people do it personally, not my gig and the vow
• 24:15
Speaker 3: renyal thing, I think it can be sweet, you know,
• 24:19
Speaker 3: and also just an excuse to have another party right
• 24:21
Speaker 3: with like friends like ten years later.
• 24:24
Speaker 5: But I also have friends who are like.
• 24:25
  Speaker 3: If you're doing a vow renewal, there's a reason you're
• 24:29
Speaker 3: renewing your vows, Like why renew your valves if everything
• 24:32
  Speaker 3: is beautiful?
• 24:33
Speaker 1: Like you know so, But to each their own two,
• 24:36
Speaker 1: I think the I think the reason it ever started.
• 24:38
Speaker 1: In my opinion, I might be totally wrong, but I
• 24:40
Speaker 1: think the reason valve renual's ever even started, is just
• 24:43
Speaker 1: to put the spark back in there because your wedding
• 24:44
Speaker 1: date is so special, and so a decade goes by
• 24:47
Speaker 1: and maybe it's getting a little bit kind of ore,
• 24:48
Speaker 1: and you're like, oh, let's get the feels back again,
• 24:50
Speaker 1: Let's get yeah, do the whole wedding day feel again.
• 24:52
  Speaker 1: But I just I feel like I feel like I
• 24:55
Speaker 1: haven't even talked to John about this. Obviously, it's it's
• 24:57
Speaker 1: both of our opinions, but I feel it the point
• 25:00
Speaker 1: I would say probably not, but I am still getting
• 25:02
Speaker 1: off the high of the production we just threw, you know,
• 25:04
Speaker 1: and the whole amazingness and the feeling of all of
• 25:07
Speaker 1: the of how much fun that party was. But I think, also, Joe,
• 25:11
Speaker 1: why can't you just have a birthday party that glamorous
• 25:14
Speaker 1: or do something like that and then, do you know,
• 25:16
Speaker 1: do something you know and another way to get the
• 25:18
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 25:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no for right now.
• 25:21
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean not me asking you about valur noiles,
• 25:23
Speaker 5: when you just got married.
• 25:25
Speaker 2: At the point, okay, what do we have me the
• 25:27
  Speaker 2: next party?
• 25:28
  Speaker 4: No?
• 25:28
Speaker 5: No, no, But honestly, your wedding was perfect.
• 25:30
Speaker 1: Okay, so if well, okay, what did you guys take
• 25:37
  Speaker 1: a honeymoon.
• 25:38
  Speaker 5: We did?
• 25:39
Speaker 2: You did? And where did you go?
• 25:42
  Speaker 5: We went?
• 25:44
Speaker 3: I always forget the name of it because it was
• 25:47
  Speaker 3: an island.
• 25:48
Speaker 5: That's all I got. And it starts with me. It's
• 25:50
Speaker 5: not Bermuda there, it's like.
• 25:52
Speaker 2: A really Barbados. Is that even an island? You just
• 25:55
Speaker 2: said be you said a word?
• 25:57
Speaker 5: Maybe I forget the name. It's a smaller island.
• 26:00
Speaker 2: Okay, Well was it fun because you don't even remember
• 26:03
  Speaker 2: the name?
• 26:04
  Speaker 5: Well, that's the.
• 26:04
Speaker 3: Thing is okay, So yes, I liked it. But it
• 26:09
Speaker 3: was a little bit more you know what it was.
• 26:11
Speaker 3: It was because like the hotel was more of like
• 26:14
Speaker 3: a smaller hotel. It was supposed to be private. They
• 26:16
Speaker 3: gave us like a private dinner on the beach. It
• 26:18
Speaker 3: was like, you know, was no man, I'm like the
• 26:24
  Speaker 3: worst wife friend.
• 26:25
Speaker 2: Okay. Anyways, but go back to what it was. Go back.
• 26:27
Speaker 3: So because it was small, like the actual like island
• 26:32
Speaker 3: was smaller. It was a thing where it was the
• 26:38
Speaker 3: staff would be either down by the beach taking care
• 26:41
Speaker 3: because they had like a restaurant on like the beach
• 26:43
Speaker 3: and stuff like that, or they would.
• 26:45
  Speaker 5: Like come up.
• 26:46
Speaker 3: So if they were down at the beach. There was
• 26:48
Speaker 3: nobody at like the pool to like be a bartender,
• 26:53
Speaker 3: So it was like that kind of a small It
• 26:55
Speaker 3: was more of like a boutique.
• 26:57
Speaker 1: You're, yeah, you're tasting them more than them being there,
• 26:59
Speaker 1: like yeah, oh my gosh.
• 27:02
Speaker 3: Okay exactly, And so I don't know that. I like
• 27:05
Speaker 3: more of like an inclusive like restaurants. There's things to
• 27:09
Speaker 3: do in the actual like hotel versus lat you we
• 27:14
Speaker 3: kind of had to go out.
• 27:16
Speaker 1: Did you get like this ups like sadness after the wedding,
• 27:20
Speaker 1: like oh my gosh, like the relief of like being done,
• 27:22
Speaker 1: but at the same time like kind of like when
• 27:24
  Speaker 1: Christmas is over?
• 27:25
Speaker 2: Did you get that that that?
• 27:26
Speaker 1: Like I remember because John and I went to Surf
• 27:28
Speaker 1: and Sand for two days. We stayed at the venue
• 27:32
Speaker 1: for two days and then we uh went to Surf
• 27:34
Speaker 1: and Sand for two days to be on the water
• 27:36
Speaker 1: and just basically sleep.
• 27:37
Speaker 2: I mean, we were so frick and tired, but we
• 27:41
  Speaker 2: ordered room.
• 27:41
Speaker 1: Service and we didn't even go Yeah, we went to
• 27:43
Speaker 1: dinner one night in the hotel, but we did not
• 27:44
Speaker 1: leave the hotel the Surf and Sand. But anyways, that's
• 27:47
Speaker 1: my absolute favorite place by the way here in town
• 27:50
Speaker 1: like staycation place. But anyway, I remember having this like sadness,
• 27:54
Speaker 1: like a sadness and being like, wow, now it's all done.
• 27:57
Speaker 2: But I had this excitement because now I'm missus Jansen.
• 27:59
Speaker 1: But it was like wow, like I've been spending sleepless,
• 28:03
Speaker 1: sleepless nights planning it and then it's all over that quickly.
• 28:06
  Speaker 3: Well that's what I was gonna That's what I was
• 28:08
Speaker 3: wondering for you was how you were feeling about the
• 28:12
Speaker 3: wedding being over too, because I also went through that.
• 28:15
Speaker 5: Because you go from you're.
• 28:18
Speaker 3: So stressed out you're doing journaline yah of like all
• 28:21
Speaker 3: the things and you can't keep everything straight.
• 28:23
Speaker 1: You have all these things you have to do to
• 28:25
Speaker 1: where it's like, I mean, believe me, we're still busy.
• 28:27
Speaker 2: We have like three careers and all that, all these
• 28:28
  Speaker 2: things going.
• 28:29
  Speaker 1: But it's like I'm just like, Okay, well I don't
• 28:30
Speaker 1: have to get up in the middle of the night and
• 28:31
Speaker 1: make notes about the wedding now, because I used to
• 28:33
Speaker 1: like wake up in the middle of the night and
• 28:34
Speaker 1: make notes right like, oh my gosh, I had to
• 28:36
Speaker 1: do this first thing in the morning, and.
• 28:37
Speaker 2: So I wouldn't sleep much at all.
• 28:39
Speaker 1: You know, but yeah, I was definitely sad, definitely had
• 28:42
  Speaker 1: a sadness.
• 28:43
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 28:43
  Speaker 1: I mean now I'm just like, okay, I'm glad I
• 28:45
Speaker 1: get my life back. But there was that even being
• 28:47
Speaker 1: at a beautiful resort like the Servant Sanda, I was
• 28:49
Speaker 1: just like, ugh, yeah.
• 28:50
Speaker 2: You know, kind of bummed. And then I look over
• 28:53
Speaker 2: at my head and I'm like, Okay, I'm not bummed anymore.
• 28:57
  Speaker 4: No.
• 28:58
Speaker 3: I mean you I feel like in even like right
• 29:01
Speaker 3: before the wedding day, You're like I remember just feeling like,
• 29:05
Speaker 3: oh my gosh, like I'm so excited to Mary Taran,
• 29:08
Speaker 3: but I just want the wedding day to be here
• 29:10
Speaker 3: already because I'm so tired of like stressing about the
• 29:14
  Speaker 3: planning of it.
• 29:15
Speaker 5: But then once it happened, then.
• 29:17
Speaker 3: You kind of like miss the planning of it, but
• 29:20
Speaker 3: forget how stressed out you were, you know. But like
• 29:24
Speaker 3: also it was just it was such a special like
• 29:27
Speaker 3: season for me that you know, I also really hold
• 29:32
  Speaker 3: that feeling like.
• 29:33
Speaker 5: In my heart of like yeah, I'm so precious you know.
• 29:36
Speaker 2: His engagement to you. Remind me if this is right
• 29:38
  Speaker 2: or not.
• 29:38
Speaker 1: But because this is why I loved your wedding so much,
• 29:40
Speaker 1: is because he is a musician, and he does he
• 29:42
Speaker 1: brings this element of that too wherever he goes. But
• 29:45
Speaker 1: wasn't his engagement to you. He was saying you a
• 29:48
Speaker 1: song and got down on one knee. Yeah that song, Yeah,
• 29:50
Speaker 1: I remember now because it was that was twenty twenty one.
• 29:53
Speaker 5: Yeah, right in the middle of COVID.
• 29:55
Speaker 3: And then I know he wrote the song Become My Wife, which,
• 29:59
Speaker 3: by the way, I don't even know how like to
• 30:01
Speaker 3: write a song and perform a song before you're about
• 30:07
  Speaker 3: to propose.
• 30:09
Speaker 1: My voice, My voice would be so shaky, you know,
• 30:13
  Speaker 1: like nerves.
• 30:14
Speaker 5: I was literally stunned.
• 30:17
Speaker 3: And the fact that like at the time I was
• 30:20
Speaker 3: doing YouTube and he knew to like document that entire
• 30:24
Speaker 3: like surprise proposal and like give me the video of
• 30:27
Speaker 3: like and you can have this for your YouTube channel
• 30:29
Speaker 3: now and now we can look back at like our
• 30:31
Speaker 3: proposal story and always have that as like it's kind
• 30:35
Speaker 3: of like a home video, if you will, right, like
• 30:37
Speaker 3: all of these memories.
• 30:38
Speaker 1: But were you surprised? You were you weren't expecting it
• 30:41
Speaker 1: right at that moment.
• 30:42
Speaker 5: Yes, I've never been surprised like that and so misled.
• 30:46
Speaker 3: Okay, awesome, that's the best way to do, Yeah, a
• 30:50
  Speaker 3: million percent.
• 31:02
Speaker 5: Were you surprised when John proposed?
• 31:04
Speaker 1: Well, I knew it was coming because we picked out
• 31:06
Speaker 1: the ring together. But it's funny because he was doing
• 31:10
Speaker 1: all these things to throw me off. Like he flew
• 31:12
Speaker 1: us to London to meet his brother and I'm like, oh,
• 31:14
Speaker 1: this is where he's proposing, right, And then we did
• 31:17
Speaker 1: another little trip somewhere, and then he booked Santa Sedro Ranch,
• 31:21
Speaker 1: and so I'm just like at this point, I'm like,
• 31:23
Speaker 1: he's just you know, I'm like, he's probably not even
• 31:26
Speaker 1: gonna do it at one of these places we go.
• 31:27
Speaker 1: He's just going to go down in the kitchen on
• 31:28
Speaker 1: one knee and propose when I'm cooking dinner. But anyway,
• 31:31
Speaker 1: it was Santa Ceedra Ranch. So but I was because
• 31:33
Speaker 1: I was It's funny. He went to the bathroom and
• 31:35
Speaker 1: I cannot tell he was nervous at all. He like
• 31:37
Speaker 1: kicked it off without a hitch and and so I'm
• 31:40
Speaker 1: you know, we've just finished dinner, you know where When
• 31:42
  Speaker 1: I went back.
• 31:43
Speaker 2: To think about it, though, they made a mistake because.
• 31:45
Speaker 1: Right when we sat down, the guy brought a bottle
• 31:47
Speaker 1: of champagne like boob or something, and it was like congratulations,
• 31:51
Speaker 1: and then John was like what.
• 31:53
Speaker 2: I was like what. And then so then he walked away,
• 31:55
Speaker 2: and I was just like, okay, that's weird. But then
• 31:57
Speaker 2: we ate dinner, and now.
• 31:58
Speaker 1: Looking back, I was like, oh my god, gosh, I
• 32:00
Speaker 1: should have that should have been like this the thing
• 32:02
Speaker 1: that so then but John played off so cool because
• 32:05
Speaker 1: he was just like, wrong table, I think, and the
• 32:06
Speaker 1: guy guy guy looks at the like the manager, and
• 32:08
Speaker 1: the manager's like, yeah, rock table.
• 32:09
Speaker 2: He's like, oh, it's over here, it's over here. So
• 32:11
Speaker 2: then he he played it off all two, you know.
• 32:13
Speaker 2: But then John went to the bathroom. So the meal
• 32:15
  Speaker 2: is over right.
• 32:16
Speaker 1: John went to the bathroom and I said no to dessert.
• 32:18
Speaker 1: He said no to dessert. And then he comes back
• 32:21
Speaker 1: and he sits down and he's got tears in his eyes.
• 32:23
Speaker 2: And I'm on the phone with Miles. Miles are just
• 32:25
Speaker 2: or one of the one of the kids. It just
• 32:26
Speaker 2: called me about something and was.
• 32:28
Speaker 1: There was some been needing done here at home, and
• 32:30
Speaker 1: so I'm like, not even in the mindset of romanticness
• 32:33
  Speaker 1: at all.
• 32:33
Speaker 2: Right now, I'm on kid mom mode, right, So I'm
• 32:36
Speaker 2: looking down at the phone.
• 32:37
Speaker 1: I look up and I'm like okay, my love you
• 32:38
Speaker 1: byte and I click and he's got tears in his
• 32:39
Speaker 1: eyes and I'm like, are you okay?
• 32:41
Speaker 2: Yeah to me? Did you eat something wrong or let's
• 32:43
Speaker 2: go on, and he's just like he's like, you know,
• 32:46
  Speaker 2: I just I just can't.
• 32:47
Speaker 1: And he's he started talking about our relationship and I
• 32:49
Speaker 1: was like, oh, honey, I love you too, and.
• 32:51
Speaker 2: Then he he goes, you know what, I can't. I
• 32:53
Speaker 2: can't hold it anymore, and he had.
• 32:55
Speaker 1: He had then got in the box and put it
• 32:56
Speaker 1: in his pocket when he went to the bathroom, and
• 32:58
Speaker 1: so then he got you know, pulled it out and
• 32:59
  Speaker 1: did the thing.
• 33:00
Speaker 2: But yeah, it was so I was shocked.
• 33:02
Speaker 3: That's so sweet. I'm surprised you didn't see the box
• 33:05
  Speaker 3: in his pants.
• 33:06
Speaker 1: Well that the good part about it was he was walking,
• 33:08
Speaker 1: so my back was to him. So he's coming this
• 33:10
Speaker 1: way from the bathroom. But I had been on my
• 33:12
Speaker 1: head was down, I was talking to the kids, so
• 33:14
Speaker 1: I wasn't even looking at him when he sat down.
• 33:16
Speaker 1: I wasn't paying any attention to him at all. He
• 33:17
Speaker 1: said he was kind of covering it, like the way
• 33:19
Speaker 1: he was walking, he was trying to cover it up.
• 33:20
Speaker 1: But like I was just and then I look up
• 33:22
Speaker 1: at him, and that's when I'm.
• 33:23
Speaker 5: Like, Okay, what just happened to the bathroom?
• 33:25
Speaker 3: You know, like why are you walking out of the
• 33:29
  Speaker 3: bathroom crying?
• 33:31
Speaker 2: Who was in there?
• 33:33
Speaker 5: I love that so much.
• 33:35
Speaker 3: Honestly, First of all, having known you for over ten
• 33:39
Speaker 3: years now, right, I can truly say I've never seen
• 33:44
  Speaker 3: you happier.
• 33:45
Speaker 1: I feel like that's so cliche though. I feel like
• 33:47
Speaker 1: everybody says that when they see someone in love.
• 33:49
Speaker 6: Really yeah, but you really do see a different kind
• 33:52
Speaker 6: of happiness to me, I truly because I've seen you
• 33:56
Speaker 6: with other people or like heard you talk about like
• 34:00
Speaker 6: if you're dating, right, if you're dating someone.
• 34:02
Speaker 1: But you also saw me what you also saw me
• 34:04
Speaker 1: in my marriage and saw me with my ex before John,
• 34:07
Speaker 1: So yeah, and you think this is a different happiness.
• 34:11
Speaker 3: It's literally night and day, there's no question, Like it's
• 34:14
Speaker 3: on your face. And also in the way that John
• 34:18
Speaker 3: treats you, right, like even when before you guys had
• 34:22
Speaker 3: ever gotten engaged, like he always just took care of
• 34:27
Speaker 3: you with the little things like you know, opening your
• 34:30
Speaker 3: car door, like putting out his hands so you could
• 34:34
Speaker 3: take it to step you down from the car, like
• 34:38
Speaker 3: like that's so rare these days. Chivalry truly sometimes is
• 34:42
Speaker 3: dead right sometimes, and it just like I just I
• 34:49
Speaker 3: thought it was so so sweet that he has always
• 34:53
Speaker 3: taken care of you like that, and I, as one
• 34:57
Speaker 3: of your very good friends, like that's all that you want.
• 35:00
Speaker 1: I agree, you know, I agree, and every woman just
• 35:03
Speaker 1: needs to be treated this way, and I just want
• 35:05
Speaker 1: to be sure to like I just you know, I
• 35:08
Speaker 1: point those things out to my kids too, and I'm like, see,
• 35:11
Speaker 1: that's how you should be treated, Like that's that's the
• 35:13
Speaker 1: way a man is supposed to treat a woman. And
• 35:15
Speaker 1: also you know, he points it out about me, like
• 35:18
Speaker 1: look at your look at your mom or look at Alexus,
• 35:19
Speaker 1: like like that's what that's what we should be doing
• 35:22
Speaker 1: for each other, you know, because I think that, you know,
• 35:24
Speaker 1: and especially with teenagers, they can get in bad relationships
• 35:27
Speaker 1: and and and healthy things, and you know, I just
• 35:31
Speaker 1: I really want I'm so happy that I get to
• 35:34
Speaker 1: emulate a healthy relationship with them, you know, with them
• 35:38
  Speaker 1: watching it.
• 35:38
  Speaker 2: So yeah.
• 35:39
Speaker 1: And you know, though my ex did did send the
• 35:44
Speaker 1: day before the wedding, did say wishing you, like, you know,
• 35:47
Speaker 1: a good day tomorrow or something like that.
• 35:49
Speaker 3: I was actually going to ask you about that if
• 35:51
Speaker 3: he had sent you like a message or a congratulations,
• 35:55
Speaker 3: because I know I got that when I married Teraryn
• 35:57
Speaker 3: from people, Yeah I did, but so he did say, yeah, congratula.
• 36:02
Speaker 1: That was my only ex though there was only one. Yeah,
• 36:06
Speaker 1: but I haven't had any others at this moment. You
• 36:08
  Speaker 1: had some from.
• 36:09
Speaker 4: Several exes, yes, well that was nice of them, But yeah,
• 36:14
Speaker 4: I had a few that just you know, because as
• 36:17
Speaker 4: a content creator, I'm posting my life all the time.
• 36:19
Speaker 5: So yeah, they saw videos.
• 36:21
Speaker 3: And content and we're just like congratulations, you know. And
• 36:25
Speaker 3: also that would remind me to like unfollow them Instagram.
• 36:31
Speaker 2: I don't think you have to do that.
• 36:33
Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, I'm kidding.
• 36:34
Speaker 1: I'm friends with all my exes. Like, I don't have
• 36:36
Speaker 1: any bad blood with any of them. It's like I
• 36:38
Speaker 1: just think that it's we're old enough now. I mean,
• 36:41
Speaker 1: it's just I want to be kind to them and say, hey,
• 36:44
Speaker 1: I want to see about.
• 36:45
Speaker 5: No, a million percent, I'm actually good with.
• 36:48
Speaker 3: Well all of my exes except for one.
• 36:53
Speaker 2: We can't. We both know we're not going to go
• 36:57
Speaker 2: there though, right, we're not going there.
• 36:59
Speaker 5: Yeah I love that.
• 37:02
Speaker 3: Yeah, So then now now what are like next steps?
• 37:06
Speaker 3: What are what are the newlyweds doing now? Like, do
• 37:09
Speaker 3: you have any plans obviously? Did you tell me you're
• 37:12
  Speaker 3: going on honeymoon?
• 37:13
Speaker 2: No, we did a pre honeymoon. We did.
• 37:15
Speaker 1: We did the honeymoon before the wedding because the wedding
• 37:17
Speaker 1: was in October. And then comes his birthday, my twins
• 37:20
Speaker 1: eighteenth birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and I'm just like John, if
• 37:24
Speaker 1: we if we left for any period of time and
• 37:26
Speaker 1: I still had to get the house back in order
• 37:28
Speaker 1: from the big barbecue or the big you know, chef
• 37:30
Speaker 1: brunch the next day I had, there's just so much
• 37:32
  Speaker 1: I'm like.
• 37:33
Speaker 2: I needed to not do anything after.
• 37:34
Speaker 1: We'll put that off till I'm thinking maybe March or
• 37:38
Speaker 1: April or even May. But I want to go to
• 37:40
Speaker 1: like Bora Bora or Maldive, somewhere more like you know,
• 37:43
Speaker 1: a tropical island that neither John or I have been to.
• 37:46
Speaker 1: So I don't know when the best weather for that.
• 37:48
Speaker 1: We haven't even started planning it yet. But yeah, So
• 37:50
Speaker 1: for me, the holidays are all about like I am
• 37:53
Speaker 1: the one that wants to put the tree up and
• 37:54
Speaker 1: do all of that, So I want to host and
• 37:56
Speaker 1: that's so, it's like it just seemed stressful to me
• 37:59
Speaker 1: after that big of a you know event, to then
• 38:02
Speaker 1: think about leaving again for ten days and worrying about
• 38:05
Speaker 1: the kids and leaving them.
• 38:06
Speaker 2: We are, Oh, this is funny though.
• 38:09
Speaker 1: So about two months ago, after John knew I didn't
• 38:12
Speaker 1: want to take a honeymoon okay right away, and he
• 38:14
Speaker 1: wouldn't have been as stressed as I would.
• 38:16
Speaker 2: It's more it's more falls on my shoulders.
• 38:17
Speaker 1: I think he would have been okay, but I just
• 38:19
Speaker 1: didn't the one that it's life's too busy right now.
• 38:21
  Speaker 4: But he.
• 38:23
  Speaker 2: I get a.
• 38:24
Speaker 1: Note from maybe it was four three months ago, but
• 38:26
Speaker 1: I get a you know, a message that my high
• 38:28
Speaker 1: school reunion is going to be October. In October, okay,
• 38:31
Speaker 1: so it's coming up.
• 38:33
Speaker 2: So I'm leaving. We're leaving for five.
• 38:35

• 38:46
Speaker 5: Are you taking them with you?
• 38:49
Speaker 1: But the good part about that is he's going to
• 38:51
Speaker 1: see for John, he's going to see my family farm
• 38:53
Speaker 1: and and we'll go visit that side of my family.
• 38:56
Speaker 1: And then Galena's going to come meet us for a day.
• 38:59

• 39:01
Speaker 1: and then we're going to go visit my my other
• 39:03
Speaker 1: uncle who was who couldn't travel, and and and John's
• 39:06
Speaker 1: going to get to meet him because they're very important
• 39:08
Speaker 1: parts of my life. So it's kind of like a
• 39:09
Speaker 1: it's kind of like a family reunion after the wedding
• 39:11
Speaker 1: for people that couldn't go.
• 39:13

  Speaker 1: other's weddings.
