2:29
SPEAKER_03: I gotta hit the left button again.
2:31
SPEAKER_03: Kevin's on a roll tonight, folks.
2:33
SPEAKER_03: But it is actually up here in upstate New York.
2:37
SPEAKER_03: It was like 70, 75 degrees both days I've been here.
2:40
SPEAKER_03: Of course, it's pouring rain right now, but I hate good weather until then.
2:43
SPEAKER_03: It's been beautiful the last couple of days.
2:45
SPEAKER_05: Beautiful up here.
2:47
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
2:47
SPEAKER_05: In the New York City area, the tri-state area, as they call it.
2:52
SPEAKER_03: There we go.
2:53
SPEAKER_03: So are you ready to get started?
2:55
SPEAKER_03: We this week no player spotlight.
2:58
SPEAKER_03: Oh, you have music for us.
3:00
SPEAKER_05: I have music for you because you know it's tournament time.
3:02
SPEAKER_05: You know what I'm saying?
3:03
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
3:03
SPEAKER_03: It is tournament time.
3:11
SPEAKER_05: See if you remember this one, Cap.
3:14
SPEAKER_05: Dating myself now.
3:19
SPEAKER_05: It's dance time, folks.
3:24
SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah.
3:25
SPEAKER_05: It's 20 time.
3:26
SPEAKER_05: People are going to the dance, Cap.
3:29
SPEAKER_05: Yowser, yowser, yowser.
3:31
SPEAKER_05: Remember this one?
3:34
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
3:35
SPEAKER_05: And bell bottoms.
3:36
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
3:36
SPEAKER_03: And long hair with hairspray in it.
3:39
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
3:40
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
3:41
SPEAKER_03: That's so.
3:42
SPEAKER_03: So talking about the dance in the tournament, it's just us tonight.
3:46
SPEAKER_03: The two knuckleheads, Danny.
3:47
SPEAKER_03: No player spotlight, no special guests.
3:51
SPEAKER_03: It's just us.
3:52
SPEAKER_03: So folks sit back, grin, and bear it.
3:55
SPEAKER_05: I think they'll be just fine with it.
3:58
SPEAKER_05: Sometimes, you know, I like the banter between you and I sometimes.
4:01
SPEAKER_03: Just doing me.
4:02
SPEAKER_03: But this past week, Danny, as we're getting into your top 10 roundup, wow, this was some several barn burners.
4:11
SPEAKER_03: Go to OT.
4:12
SPEAKER_03: We get to pat ourselves on the back for a few of them.
4:15
SPEAKER_03: We get to eat crow on the rest of them.
4:17
SPEAKER_05: Gotta eat crow on a lot me.
4:19
SPEAKER_05: I know I got a lot of crow to eat.
4:21
SPEAKER_05: A lot of crow to eat.
4:24
SPEAKER_05: Well, how about we get right into your top 10 roundup?
4:27
SPEAKER_05: Oh, Kev, this is the last top 10 count up countdown for the 2025 season.
4:31
SPEAKER_05: I can't believe how fast it's gone.
4:33
SPEAKER_05: And for week 14, this is your own.
5:09
SPEAKER_05: Keep them doggies rolling.
5:12
SPEAKER_05: Raw.
5:15
SPEAKER_05: Limestone number two was off this week because of the first round bye in the sack.
5:20
SPEAKER_05: And they face a tough Wingate Bulldog team again on Wednesday.
5:24
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, rematch.
5:26
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
5:26
SPEAKER_05: Number three, St.
5:27
SPEAKER_05: Ay's was off also because of a first-round bye in the N-10.
5:31
SPEAKER_05: And they face Bentley in the semis coming up tomorrow, Kev.
5:35
SPEAKER_05: Another one we have to eat a little crow on.
5:37
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I know.
5:38
SPEAKER_05: Four, Seton Hill.
5:40
SPEAKER_05: They were off because of a first-round bye in the GMAC.
5:44
SPEAKER_05: And they face Wheeling in the semis.
5:47
SPEAKER_05: How about Wheeling doing a good job?
5:49
SPEAKER_05: Good for them guys.
5:50
SPEAKER_05: Number five, Adelphi.
5:52
SPEAKER_05: They were off.
5:53
SPEAKER_05: The number two seed had a first-round bye in the NE-10, and we'll face number eight Pace in the semifinals of the NE-10 Conference Championship.
6:04
SPEAKER_05: Number six, Flagler beat Lander 11-10 in the Peach Belt Championship, and we'll face Colorado Mesa on Friday for that combo RMAC, Peach Belt, automatic qualifiers.
6:18
SPEAKER_03: Who knows?
6:19
SPEAKER_05: I know, right?
6:20
SPEAKER_05: That's awesome.
6:21
SPEAKER_05: Number seven, Lenore Ryan beat Kataba 22-10 in the first round in the sack.
6:26
SPEAKER_05: And they will face a really good Anderson Trojans team on Wednesday.
6:31
SPEAKER_05: And remember, Anderson beat Lenore Ryan earlier in the season.
6:35
SPEAKER_05: So Lenore Ryan's going to look to avenge, and I expect that to be a pretty darn good game.
6:41
SPEAKER_05: I agree.
6:41
SPEAKER_05: Number eight Pace beat SNHU 16 to 14, kind of a tight match in the first round of the N-10, and they faced Adelphi in the semis on Wednesday.
6:52
SPEAKER_05: Anderson was off number nine, Anderson, because of a first-round bye in the sack, and they faced LR, like we just said.
7:00
SPEAKER_05: And a big one.
7:01
SPEAKER_05: Number 10, Maryville lost to U Indy 13-12 in the GLVC semis.
7:10
SPEAKER_03: That was regular season.
7:12
SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's right.
7:12
SPEAKER_05: That was the regular season.
7:13
SPEAKER_05: Right.
7:14
SPEAKER_03: They have to play each other again now.
7:16
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
7:16
SPEAKER_03: Now, what's interesting about that game, Danny, that was a close contest.
7:20
SPEAKER_03: Most of it, Undy scored with 22 seconds left to go up game.
7:26
SPEAKER_03: And then uh Rockhurst beats Lewis in their last regular season.
7:35
SPEAKER_03: So the lineup for the GLVC tournament is the same matchups.
7:41
SPEAKER_03: Pretty much, yeah.
7:42
SPEAKER_03: Maryville against Undy, Rockhurst against Lewis.
7:46
SPEAKER_05: Yep.
7:50
SPEAKER_05: Who do you like?
7:51
SPEAKER_03: In the Maryville UI game.
7:54
SPEAKER_03: It's at Meryville.
7:56
SPEAKER_03: I'm taking Maryville and to to take it back.
7:59
SPEAKER_03: I I think the GLBC is a toss-up right now.
8:08
SPEAKER_05: I do too.
8:08
SPEAKER_05: I like Maryville in that game as well.
8:11
SPEAKER_05: I do.
8:12
SPEAKER_05: I do too.
8:13
SPEAKER_05: And then you got Rockhurst and Lewis.
8:14
SPEAKER_05: Rockhurst beat Lewis by one.
8:16
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
8:17
SPEAKER_05: 8-7.
8:18
SPEAKER_05: 8-7.
8:20
SPEAKER_05: What do you think?
8:22
SPEAKER_05: Rockhurst outscored Lewis 4-3 in the second half.
8:26
SPEAKER_05: Alila with 15 saves in that game.
8:29
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, he needed it.
8:31
SPEAKER_05: So they face each other again on Thursday in the first round of the GLVC and Rockhurst.
8:37
SPEAKER_03: I gotta give the nod.
8:38
SPEAKER_03: I gone.
8:39
SPEAKER_03: I think it's a pick'em, but I give a little slight nod to Lewis because of our it's tough to beat a uh the same team twice.
8:49
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I like I like Rockhurst.
8:51
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna take Rockhurst.
8:52
SPEAKER_03: There we go.
8:53
SPEAKER_03: So there we go.
8:54
SPEAKER_03: Rockhurst played a good a good game, yeah.
8:57
SPEAKER_05: So that's that's interesting.
9:00
SPEAKER_05: Maryville 7-6 at the half against Undy.
9:04
SPEAKER_05: Uh outscored Undy's.
9:05
SPEAKER_05: Uh Undy scored five in the third in that game to take the lead.
9:10
SPEAKER_05: Maryville mounted a comeback.
9:12
SPEAKER_05: That must have been a good game.
9:13
SPEAKER_05: I didn't watch it.
9:15
SPEAKER_05: Bernaducci knocked the ball free, began a mad sprint fast break, caught Meryville out of uh out of uh caught him in like an unsettled situation, and he found Nathan Lamb on the doorstep for the game winner.
9:29
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
9:30
SPEAKER_05: So that must have been a great game to watch, and uh it's gonna be another good one this week.
9:35
SPEAKER_05: So we both like Maryville.
9:37
SPEAKER_05: You like Lewis, I like Rockhurst.
9:40
SPEAKER_05: Anyone who's ever taken a kid to a morning travel game knows how important that travel cup of coffee is.
9:45
SPEAKER_05: When a deep time coffee hits your nose, you'll forget how early it is and think you're at home.com is do a better way to turn it.com.
11:01
SPEAKER_05: A better way to try it.
11:06
SPEAKER_03: There we go.
11:07
SPEAKER_03: Okay, let's move on to the rest of the week in review.
11:10
SPEAKER_03: Let's start off with our game of the week, since it was one of them that was not in a uh conference playoff game, and that was Mercy against Malloy.
11:22
SPEAKER_03: Mercy pulls it out 13-12 in overtime.
11:27
SPEAKER_03: So, what I would say, Danny, is eating the little crow, we both picked Malloy.
11:32
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, a little bit of a pat on the back because I said it could go to overtime.
11:36
SPEAKER_05: That's right, you did, you did.
11:38
SPEAKER_05: That's right.
11:39
SPEAKER_03: That was a bar burner.
11:40
SPEAKER_03: And what I would say, we talked a lot about Christian Michaels, and we mentioned Cam Dorfman.
11:46
SPEAKER_03: Cam Dorfman had a day.
11:50
SPEAKER_03: Both both goalies did.
11:52
SPEAKER_03: But not only did Cam Dorfman have 18 saves, he had the winning goal in overtime.
12:00
SPEAKER_05: Yes, he did.
12:01
SPEAKER_05: And Malloy had three shots on him at the end.
12:04
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
12:04
SPEAKER_05: One hit post, one went wide, and then Dorfman made the save on the third one.
12:13
SPEAKER_03: Low shot save, which is a nice save.
12:16
SPEAKER_05: Malloy, for whatever reason, went into the 10-man ride.
12:21
SPEAKER_05: And it's risky when you go into a 10-man ride because you're leaving that cage open.
12:26
SPEAKER_05: And Dorfman kind of walked it up the field after he made that save, walked it up to about the 30, 35, and then let it go the full length of the field and caught them off guard and it went in the goal.
12:39
SPEAKER_05: And Dorfman wins the game.
12:41
SPEAKER_03: And you watched the game I did too.
12:43
SPEAKER_03: The cameraman didn't pick it up.
12:44
SPEAKER_03: Oh, you can't see the announcer.
12:47
SPEAKER_05: All right.
12:47
SPEAKER_05: Cameraman, you got you, you're fired, dude.
12:50
SPEAKER_05: You're fired.
12:52
SPEAKER_05: You can't miss a goal like that.
12:55
SPEAKER_05: That goal, that that whole viral, that whole thing went viral on the internet, and no one saw the goal.
13:02
SPEAKER_05: Because the cameraman never moved the camera.
13:05
SPEAKER_05: Did it really happen?
13:07
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
13:07
SPEAKER_05: Dorfman made the shot.
13:09
SPEAKER_05: I'm watching, and I'm like, what the what cameraman?
13:12
SPEAKER_05: And then I saw all the mercy guys running on the field, and then I saw all the mercy guys like put their hands up.
13:19
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I'm like, oh my God, did it just go in?
13:22
SPEAKER_05: Like, we didn't see it.
13:23
SPEAKER_05: So, cameraman, whoever was the cameraman, you're fired, dude.
13:27
SPEAKER_05: But hey, what a job at volunteer.
13:29
SPEAKER_05: He plays what a great game for Dorfman, huh?
13:33
SPEAKER_05: What a great game.
13:34
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you're right.
13:34
SPEAKER_03: Christian Michaels had a had a very good game too.
13:37
SPEAKER_03: And we talked about this.
13:38
SPEAKER_03: The score doesn't really reflect it at 13-12.
13:42
SPEAKER_03: That whose defense would step up.
13:44
SPEAKER_03: Well, Cam Dorfman stepped up in over, not only during the game, but in overtime, stopping two, well, one pipe, one wide.
13:52
SPEAKER_03: That last one was not an easy one, and then he wins the game winner.
13:57
SPEAKER_03: Interesting, Danny.
13:58
SPEAKER_03: I thought this was Mercy's game in the first three quarters.
14:01
SPEAKER_03: They go up by 5-1, 12 minutes into the second quarter.
14:05
SPEAKER_03: Malloy continually has to fight back.
14:08
SPEAKER_03: They make it 6-4 before Mercy tallies two, and they close out the half at 8-4.
14:13
SPEAKER_03: And they can Malloy had to continue to fight back.
14:15
SPEAKER_03: They it's 12-9 with 9-26 to play.
14:20
SPEAKER_03: They're down by three, and they shut out Mavs the rest of the regulation, and that's how they came back.
14:25
SPEAKER_03: So give them credit.
14:26
SPEAKER_03: They're down by three.
14:34
SPEAKER_03: No one else can score.
14:36
SPEAKER_03: And then, like you said, Malloy wins the face-off at overtime, has three opportunities, can't bury it, and then Dorfman does the rest.
14:44
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that was a quality lacrosse game.
14:47
SPEAKER_05: That was a quality game.
14:49
SPEAKER_05: And congratulations to Mercy.
14:51
SPEAKER_05: That was a good game.
14:52
SPEAKER_05: But now here we go.
14:53
SPEAKER_05: We got ECC going on tomorrow night.
14:56
SPEAKER_05: You got Mercy, uh, Mercy's facing Roberts Wesleyan in the ECC.
15:02
SPEAKER_05: And Malloy will face Frostburg State.
15:06
SPEAKER_05: So Mercy RW, Malloy Frostburg.
15:09
SPEAKER_05: Who do you like in the Mercy RW game?
15:12
SPEAKER_03: So I am going uh with Mercy and I'm going with Malloy.
15:18
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, me too.
15:19
SPEAKER_05: I'm going with the two of them.
15:20
SPEAKER_05: They meet for the championship on Saturday.
15:24
SPEAKER_03: A rematch.
15:25
SPEAKER_03: If we if it is that.
15:26
SPEAKER_03: I mean, if we if we say it is like that's a that's a pick'em game.
15:33
SPEAKER_03: I don't even know where they're playing it.
15:34
SPEAKER_05: I don't know where they're playing.
15:37
SPEAKER_05: So it's gonna be Malloy and Mercy again, and I'm telling you, that's gonna be another barn burner.
15:43
SPEAKER_05: It sure is.
15:44
SPEAKER_03: We think.
15:44
SPEAKER_05: I think so.
15:45
SPEAKER_05: I mean, I would say the odds are in our favor there with the Malloy and Mercy.
15:50
SPEAKER_03: Either way the season has gone, yeah.
15:51
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
15:52
SPEAKER_05: So the ECC should be interesting.
15:56
SPEAKER_05: Um, I still like Malloy, man.
15:58
SPEAKER_03: I still like them.
16:00
SPEAKER_03: Go with what we said, what we said before.
16:02
SPEAKER_03: It's tough to beat a team twice in the same season.
16:05
SPEAKER_03: We I said that for Lewis against Rockhurst.
16:07
SPEAKER_03: Then I think I'm gonna stick to that thing.
16:09
SPEAKER_03: I've got to kind of give Malloy the edge.
16:12
SPEAKER_03: Mercy played a great game, though.
16:14
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they played well.
16:16
SPEAKER_05: It was a good game.
16:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
16:17
SPEAKER_05: It was a good game.
16:18
SPEAKER_05: They were really evenly matched.
16:19
SPEAKER_05: I thought, you know, talent-wise and depth-wise, and all you add all the little increments of the game, and I thought they match up really even.
16:28
SPEAKER_05: It was just a really evenly matched game, and I think it's gonna be another good one.
16:33
SPEAKER_05: I mean, these two teams, they go at it, man.
16:36
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
16:37
SPEAKER_03: So now let's move on.
16:38
SPEAKER_03: We'll talk about the quarterfinals in the GMAC tournament.
16:42
SPEAKER_03: It was Northwood against Walsh.
16:44
SPEAKER_03: I didn't get to watch this game.
16:46
SPEAKER_03: Uh Walsh won fairly handily, 20 to 8.
16:50
SPEAKER_03: But give credit to Northwood.
16:52
SPEAKER_03: How about Northwood?
16:54
SPEAKER_03: Northwood getting in in their first year.
16:56
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
16:57
SPEAKER_03: I knew it was going to be a little bit of an uphill battle, and it certainly was, but give them props for what they did.
17:03
SPEAKER_03: And Walsh has had a good season this year.
17:05
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
17:06
SPEAKER_03: So, and then the Wheeling Davenport game, Danny.
17:10
SPEAKER_03: Wheeling pulls it out 12-9.
17:12
SPEAKER_03: I turned the game on, Danny.
17:15
SPEAKER_03: Wheeling was up 10-2 in the third.
17:20
SPEAKER_03: 10-2.
17:22
SPEAKER_03: And Davenport comes screaming back and they make it 10-8.
17:27
SPEAKER_03: And then Wheeling scores two more to go up 12-8, and Davenport scores.
17:31
SPEAKER_03: I mean, when I first started watching the game, I'm like, oh, okay, I'll watch this.
17:35
SPEAKER_03: I don't think it's that.
17:36
SPEAKER_03: I think it's already kind of a blowout.
17:38
SPEAKER_03: Davenport did not give up.
17:40
SPEAKER_03: And to pull within two, think of the amount of energy and inertia you've got to display to get that back like that.
17:52
SPEAKER_03: And they they just didn't have enough enough uh enough in their tank to close it out.
17:56
SPEAKER_03: How about Chase Brenner had a goal had a day for Wheeling, huh?
18:00
SPEAKER_05: Five goals and two assists.
18:02
SPEAKER_05: Uh led led Wheeling to a GMAC quarter quarter final victory.
18:06
SPEAKER_05: It was five-nothing after one.
18:08
SPEAKER_05: Kev 9-2 at the half, like you mentioned.
18:10
SPEAKER_05: And then Davenport mounted that huge comeback, outscoring Wheeling 5-1 in the third frame, bringing Davenport to within three.
18:19
SPEAKER_05: And that was the Cavaliers.
18:21
SPEAKER_05: They move on, man, into the GMAC semis for the second year in a row.
18:25
SPEAKER_05: And uh you know, routing in that new program, Northwood 20 to 8.
18:30
SPEAKER_05: First quarter was close.
18:32
SPEAKER_05: But I mean what do you think?
18:38
SPEAKER_03: Uh so who's playing in whom?
18:42
SPEAKER_05: Alright, so Lake Erie had the first round by, number two seed, they'll face Walsh.
18:50
SPEAKER_05: And Seton Hill had the one seed, and they'll face Wheeling.
18:54
SPEAKER_05: I'll take Seton Hill against the Wheeling squad from Virginia, West Virginia.
19:01
SPEAKER_05: And I'm gonna take Lake Erie over Walsh.
19:03
SPEAKER_05: Lake Erie's been playing well the last couple of weeks.
19:06
SPEAKER_05: They really have.
19:06
SPEAKER_05: Their defense has stepped up.
19:09
SPEAKER_05: And uh it's gonna I think it's gonna be uh a Lake Erie storm and a Seton Hill grip.
19:15
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna say that Walsh beats Lake Erie.
19:18
SPEAKER_03: Walsh has been playing well.
19:20
SPEAKER_03: Lake Erie 6-3 against Tiffin.
19:23
SPEAKER_03: I didn't get to watch that game.
19:24
SPEAKER_03: I don't know if it was Tiffin really playing that well.
19:27
SPEAKER_03: I thought that game would have been a larger margin for Lake Erie.
19:34
SPEAKER_03: So I'm giving the momentum to Walsh against Lake Erie.
19:40
SPEAKER_05: Okay.
19:41
SPEAKER_03: But I think it's Seton Hills all the way to the end.
19:44
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, GMAC misses Mercyhurst this year, huh?
19:47
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
19:48
SPEAKER_05: And then all those other teams are like, no, we don't miss them.
19:50
SPEAKER_05: Walsh don't miss them.
19:52
SPEAKER_05: Lake Erie don't miss them.
19:54
SPEAKER_03: Davenport don't miss them.
19:56
SPEAKER_03: Hey, you know what though?
19:57
SPEAKER_03: The good thing we can say about this is this tournament without them, you talk about teams needing to get in, needing to get an experience, needing to build off of that, and that's what they're going to be able to do.
20:09
SPEAKER_03: So give them, let's see what it looks like in a few years.
20:13
SPEAKER_03: I agree.
20:14
SPEAKER_03: I agree.
20:16
SPEAKER_03: All right, let's turn to the Northeast 10 quarterfinals.
20:22
SPEAKER_03: Danny 10, the granddaddy of them all, right?
20:26
SPEAKER_03: First game, let's talk about Pace, Southern New Hampshire.
20:30
SPEAKER_03: Tight one.
20:33
SPEAKER_03: This was an exciting game.
20:34
SPEAKER_03: What I found really interesting, Danny, is I was kind of watching this.
20:38
SPEAKER_03: I was in and out watching, I'd watched so many games.
20:41
SPEAKER_03: This is a late, late afternoon game.
20:43
SPEAKER_03: I wanted to take a little bit of a break.
20:45
SPEAKER_03: I was watching it and I'd come back.
20:47
SPEAKER_03: I'd go like take my dog for a walk, come back.
20:50
SPEAKER_03: It seemed like Pace always had a three-goal lead most of the game.
20:57
SPEAKER_03: Then all of a sudden you start watching it.
20:59
SPEAKER_03: Southern New Hampshire, they don't give up.
21:03
SPEAKER_03: And they tie it at 14 late in the fourth.
21:06
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, three minutes left.
21:08
SPEAKER_03: Three minutes left, they tied it up.
21:11
SPEAKER_03: And then Pace scores, it was a great jump shot in in the middle to go up one, and then they repeated with a goal on the crease to to to make it 16-14.
21:22
SPEAKER_03: Late.
21:23
SPEAKER_03: But that was an exciting finish because you thought, oh my gosh, Southern New Hampshire comes back and and really played well.
21:32
SPEAKER_03: You have to give the penmen credit and for how they continue to play throughout the season, especially in that game.
21:39
SPEAKER_03: They did not start off well this season.
21:41
SPEAKER_03: They make it to the tournament, and they give Pace a game.
21:45
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, they gave him everything they can handle.
21:47
SPEAKER_05: Pace had that 14 11 lead, but the penmen were able to chip away at that lead and tie it, like I like you said, at 14 with three minutes left, and then Colin Reese and Declan Landers for Pace.
22:00
SPEAKER_05: We're able to bury a few biscuits, uh, back-to-back goals, and seal it for Pace.
22:05
SPEAKER_05: So Pace, you know, they kind of limp away from that game 16-14.
22:11
SPEAKER_05: It could have been a bad day for Pace if they didn't uh I don't know, man.
22:17
SPEAKER_05: SNE2 shouldn't have scored 14 goals on him.
22:20
SPEAKER_05: That's what I'm thinking.
22:21
SPEAKER_03: Well, and that's one note I put down there is Pace is going to have to play much better to beat a Delphi.
22:26
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I agree with you.
22:28
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't know if they played down.
22:31
SPEAKER_03: It's probably a combination of playing a little bit down uh and Southern New Hampshire just matching them.
22:39
SPEAKER_05: You know, Pace Pace should have smoked them, you know, in the first round.
22:43
SPEAKER_05: I I feel that, you know, Pace really should have put a beating on him, and they didn't SNHU kept it close, you know, and out even outscored them 4-3 in the second quarter.
22:53
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
22:53
SPEAKER_05: So, you know, so Pace again stumbles out of there with a two-goal victory.
23:00
SPEAKER_05: They're gonna have to face a Delphi on on when?
23:03
SPEAKER_05: Friday?
23:03
SPEAKER_05: Wednesday.
23:04
SPEAKER_05: Wednesday.
23:05
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
23:06
SPEAKER_03: All right, so let's move on.
23:08
SPEAKER_03: Bentley against Assumption.
23:10
SPEAKER_03: Bentley was number five seed, Assumption number four.
23:15
SPEAKER_03: Bentley pulls it out 12-11.
23:17
SPEAKER_03: This game, Danny, was so even and went back and forth and back and forth.
23:24
SPEAKER_05: I'm eating some crow on this.
23:25
SPEAKER_05: Yep, me too.
23:26
SPEAKER_05: Sorry, Coach Murphy, Coach Dean Jenkins.
23:29
SPEAKER_05: I apologize.
23:31
SPEAKER_05: Congratulations on a good win.
23:33
SPEAKER_03: They're like, keep on picking the other team.
23:35
SPEAKER_05: I had assumption for sure.
23:37
SPEAKER_05: Uh Bentley led at half, though, seven to six.
23:40
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
23:41
SPEAKER_05: In this closely played matchup.
23:43
SPEAKER_05: Each team scored three goals in the third.
23:46
SPEAKER_05: And Assumption led 10-9 after three, Kev.
23:50
SPEAKER_03: Well, that means Assumption was up at half, seven, six.
23:55
SPEAKER_03: That's what I said.
23:55
SPEAKER_03: And then they both scored three.
23:57
SPEAKER_05: I said Bentley.
23:58
SPEAKER_05: I'm sorry.
23:58
SPEAKER_05: Assumption.
23:59
SPEAKER_03: You're right.
23:59
SPEAKER_03: You're right.
23:59
SPEAKER_03: 7-6 and half.
24:00
SPEAKER_03: That'll tell you how close it was.
24:02
SPEAKER_03: And they they keep right even after three.
24:05
SPEAKER_03: You know, like you scored three each on in the third.
24:09
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
24:11
SPEAKER_03: And then Bentley took its first lead since being up one zero to make it 12-11 with 8.31 left.
24:20
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
24:21
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
24:23
SPEAKER_05: Comeback to get it.
24:24
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Assumption had a chance of about two minutes left, but Bentley's D I thought really stiffened up, and they ran out the shot clock.
24:33
unknown: Yeah.
24:34
SPEAKER_03: Didn't let them score, and then Bentley could basically run out the clock.
24:38
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's exactly what happened.
24:41
SPEAKER_05: Brady Glass buried one.
24:42
SPEAKER_05: Alvidy tied it up at 11-11 with nine minutes left.
24:46
SPEAKER_05: And senior attack Will Adams put Bentley ahead for the win at the end.
24:54
SPEAKER_03: It was a really good game.
24:55
SPEAKER_05: It was gets that one goal win.
24:58
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it was raining.
24:59
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
24:59
SPEAKER_05: Windy.
25:00
SPEAKER_05: Windy and rainy.
25:01
SPEAKER_05: And so Bentley, you know, they sneak away with a one-goal win.
25:05
SPEAKER_05: Pace gets a two-goal win, tight in that N first round, you know, uh matchups.
25:11
SPEAKER_05: And so now Bentley will have to face St.
25:14
SPEAKER_05: A's, the number one seed.
25:16
SPEAKER_05: And uh I like St.
25:18
SPEAKER_05: A's in that game.
25:19
SPEAKER_05: I like St.
25:20
SPEAKER_05: A's.
25:20
SPEAKER_05: And a Delphi plays Pace.
25:22
SPEAKER_05: So do you think I like a Delphi against Pace?
25:26
SPEAKER_05: Pace.
25:27
SPEAKER_05: I don't know if Pace can hang with a Delphi this year.
25:30
SPEAKER_05: You never know.
25:30
SPEAKER_05: It could be a good game.
25:31
SPEAKER_05: Could be.
25:32
SPEAKER_05: You know, you never know.
25:33
SPEAKER_03: Same thing with Bentley St.
25:34
SPEAKER_03: A's.
25:35
SPEAKER_05: These tournament games, I mean, it's like you're playing with house money.
25:38
SPEAKER_05: It's all or nothing.
25:39
SPEAKER_05: Like we got 60 minutes, boys.
25:41
SPEAKER_05: Let's go, right?
25:42
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
25:43
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
25:43
SPEAKER_03: I think these are going to be good games.
25:45
SPEAKER_03: The NE10 semi.
25:47
SPEAKER_05: The N-10 is great, man.
25:48
SPEAKER_05: The N-10 is great.
25:49
SPEAKER_05: They got some great teams and you know, very competitive.
25:53
SPEAKER_05: A lot of talent on the field in the N-10, you know, a lot of talent on these teams, man.
25:58
SPEAKER_05: So I like St.
26:00
SPEAKER_05: A's against Bentley, and I like that Delphi against Pace on Wednesday.
26:03
SPEAKER_05: So we shall see, Kev.
26:05
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
26:06
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
26:06
SPEAKER_03: So let's turn to the SAC quarterfinals.
26:12
SPEAKER_03: LR against Kataba.
26:14
SPEAKER_03: I did not watch this game.
26:16
SPEAKER_03: Well, who are won handily 22-10.
26:21
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they smoked Kataba.
26:24
SPEAKER_05: So LR's ready.
26:26
SPEAKER_05: They're ready.
26:27
SPEAKER_05: They're tournament ready.
26:29
SPEAKER_05: And they're going to go on to play Anderson, that number two seed, who had to buy.
26:34
SPEAKER_05: So LR and Anderson on Wednesday night.
26:40
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
26:42
SPEAKER_03: Um, so let's let's before we talk about the the next matchups, let's talk about the second one.
26:49
SPEAKER_03: And this was a barn burner.
26:51
SPEAKER_03: Newberry, number four seed against a number five seed Wingate.
26:56
SPEAKER_03: Wingate pulls it out in double overtime 12-11.
27:01
SPEAKER_03: Quality lacrosse game.
27:03
SPEAKER_05: That was a great game, man.
27:05
SPEAKER_05: That was a great game.
27:06
SPEAKER_05: I was there, flew into Charlotte, drove down to Newberry, South Carolina, and got off I-77.
27:15
SPEAKER_05: And man, I was on like country roads for like 35-40 miles by the time I got to Newbury.
27:20
SPEAKER_05: I was like, whoo, this school's in the middle of nowhere.
27:24
SPEAKER_05: But it's a nice, cute little town, beautiful little school, beautiful fountain in the middle, and just really nice.
27:31
SPEAKER_05: And uh Wingate and Newberry, these two teams do not like each other, Kev.
27:36
SPEAKER_05: No.
27:38
SPEAKER_05: Coach Cotter, Coach Cotter from Newberry played for Coach Boyle at Dowling back in the day.
27:44
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
27:44
SPEAKER_05: And uh, you know, Coach Cotter likes to beat up on Coach Boyle.
27:49
SPEAKER_05: He likes that.
27:50
SPEAKER_05: And this was a great game.
27:51
SPEAKER_05: I mean, they went toe-to-toe back and forth.
27:53
SPEAKER_05: Wingate jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one.
27:56
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
27:57
SPEAKER_05: Newberry scored four in the second to the Bulldogs three goals.
28:02
SPEAKER_05: It was 7-4 at halftime for Wingate.
28:05
SPEAKER_05: In the third, Logan Speth won a face-off and scored, putting the dogs up eight to five.
28:11
SPEAKER_05: And then Newberry scored the next three with Aiden Snowberry and one for the Wolves to tie it at eight.
28:17
SPEAKER_05: Moran and Clark scored to put the dogs back up on top, 10-8.
28:23
SPEAKER_05: Giazzo scored for the Wolves, made it 10-9.
28:27
SPEAKER_05: And uh after three, that was your score, 10-9 Wingate.
28:30
SPEAKER_05: Then Scott Williams for the Wolves buried one and had the Wolves tied it up.
28:35
SPEAKER_05: Aiden Snow put the Wolves up by one for the first time.
28:41
SPEAKER_05: For the first time in the game, and then Moran scored again to tie it up, and both teams were scoreless in the first overtime, Kev.
28:51
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
28:53
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it was here here was funny, Danny.
28:56
SPEAKER_03: When it was the beginning of the fourth quarter, I said to myself, this game is going to overtime, and Wingate's gonna win it.
29:06
SPEAKER_03: That was how I felt.
29:08
SPEAKER_05: Really?
29:08
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
29:09
SPEAKER_03: And then when it went to overtime, I had no confidence in my pick.
29:14
SPEAKER_05: You know, to be there, it was exciting to be there, but I'm gonna be honest with you.
29:18
SPEAKER_05: I never felt like Wingate was gonna lose that game.
29:21
SPEAKER_05: For some reason, even though they tied it up and went ahead, just Wingate was able to do things.
29:27
SPEAKER_03: They were winning face-offs.
29:29
SPEAKER_03: Well, there's one thing.
29:30
SPEAKER_03: They won a lot of face-offs.
29:32
SPEAKER_03: They it were 18-8 in the face-off on the face-off dot.
29:35
SPEAKER_05: And and the defense was playing great, man.
29:37
SPEAKER_05: They were really making it hard for Newberry to move the ball.
29:41
SPEAKER_05: They were making, they really had to work for those goals, Newberry.
29:44
SPEAKER_05: Both teams, actually, both defenses played well, I thought.
29:47
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I I would say definitely saw that in the first quarter, Danny.
29:52
SPEAKER_03: Um I wrote that note, Wingate's D, quad Quad Williams had some very good saves.
29:57
SPEAKER_03: Wingate's D played really well.
29:59
SPEAKER_03: Did not give Newberry the looks they wanted.
30:02
SPEAKER_03: That's a lot of the reason why I think Wingate went up 4-0 to begin with.
30:07
SPEAKER_03: I think their offense settled in a little bit better.
30:10
SPEAKER_03: I don't think the defense got worse.
30:12
SPEAKER_03: I think Newberry just figured out some things, right?
30:14
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
30:15
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, they're good, man.
30:16
SPEAKER_03: They're good.
30:17
SPEAKER_03: Then it was close.
30:18
SPEAKER_03: And then you turn it around.
30:20
SPEAKER_03: Ben McMullen, Newberry's goalie, had some unbelievable saves in the second half.
30:27
SPEAKER_03: He played well.
30:27
SPEAKER_03: I thought I thought both goalies played well.
30:29
SPEAKER_05: I thought both defenses played well.
30:31
SPEAKER_05: I thought both offenses played well.
30:34
SPEAKER_05: I mean, Wingate still wound up in the box seven times.
30:39
SPEAKER_05: There was some really bad calls.
30:40
SPEAKER_05: There were some calls.
30:41
SPEAKER_05: I mean, even both coaches were like screaming at these refs.
30:45
SPEAKER_05: I mean, there was an offsides penalty right in front of one ref, and he missed it.
30:50
SPEAKER_05: I mean, the guy, the Newberry guy, went off sides literally three feet in front of the ref, and the ref didn't call it.
30:57
SPEAKER_05: Well, and I would tell you, Danny, that was.
30:59
SPEAKER_05: And the wing gate parents were going nuts.
31:01
SPEAKER_05: They were like, Win was right in front of you.
31:04
SPEAKER_03: You know, it was there was and that I did notice that watching it from my tablet, right?
31:10
SPEAKER_03: That I thought some penalties they called, if they called those penalties, they're penalties, then there was other things that I saw that they should have called.
31:19
SPEAKER_03: Right.
31:20
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
31:21
SPEAKER_03: Like a push in the back that I really think maybe was a push in the back or something or interference that they call interference.
31:27
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, okay, if you call that, then you should call it on the other side.
31:30
SPEAKER_03: And I'm not saying who got it and who didn't, right?
31:32
SPEAKER_03: Because I think it was on both sides a little bit.
31:34
SPEAKER_03: Do you see what I'm saying?
31:35
SPEAKER_03: But so in the end, in maybe some inconsistent calling, but there were enough penalties, good calls against Wingate still.
31:44
SPEAKER_03: Do you see what I'm saying?
31:45
SPEAKER_03: Like, not even flags.
31:47
SPEAKER_03: There was one um, I think it was a uh an offensive offsides that Wingate had that they needed that ball, they needed that in their the offensive side to win, and they just gave it back, right?
32:01
SPEAKER_03: Right.
32:01
SPEAKER_03: So there were some things that I saw that once again they need to clean up some of those penalties if that when they play against limestone.
32:07
SPEAKER_03: Now, last time they played limestone, they didn't have those penalties.
32:10
SPEAKER_05: Three three of those penalties were moving screen violations and like interference, like little tic-tacky bullshit calls.
32:17
SPEAKER_03: Well, and those were some of the ones that I'm like, okay, if you call that, you need to call it a exactly, exactly, exactly.
32:23
SPEAKER_05: So, hey, wingate.
32:26
SPEAKER_03: I just want to say we're not homers.
32:28
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
32:28
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
32:29
SPEAKER_05: I am.
32:30
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
32:32
SPEAKER_05: But Wingate pulls it out.
32:33
SPEAKER_05: 12-11.
32:34
SPEAKER_05: Exciting game.
32:35
SPEAKER_05: It was great to be there.
32:36
SPEAKER_05: And just, you know, Wingate moves on.
32:38
SPEAKER_05: They have to face mighty limestone Saints, man.
32:42
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so there's the matchups.
32:44
SPEAKER_03: Lenore Ryan against, we're we're mixing up our weekend review with our games to watch, which is fine uh this week because you got to kind of go with the tournament.
32:53
SPEAKER_03: So Lenore Ryan against Anderson.
32:56
SPEAKER_03: Who do you like?
32:57
SPEAKER_05: I like Anderson and their 21 goals a game.
33:00
SPEAKER_05: AJ Rush and Mancini.
33:03
SPEAKER_05: It's going to be a great matchup at the X there.
33:07
SPEAKER_05: Um I think Anderson's got a lot of firepower, and I think they're going to beat LR again.
33:14
SPEAKER_05: I think it's going to be a really good game.
33:17
SPEAKER_05: Coach P for the Bears, he's a great adjuster.
33:21
SPEAKER_05: He makes great adjustments during the game.
33:24
SPEAKER_05: His players are very well coached.
33:26
SPEAKER_05: They're deep.
33:28
SPEAKER_05: Should be a phenomenal SAC tournament game.
33:32
SPEAKER_03: And so I'm going with I'm sticking with my game plan.
33:35
SPEAKER_03: Tough to beat a team like that twice.
33:38
SPEAKER_03: Lenore Ryan knows how to prepare again.
33:41
SPEAKER_03: I think Lenore Ryan beats Anderson.
33:43
SPEAKER_03: They got to go up to Anderson, Kev.
33:45
SPEAKER_03: Or down, down to Anderson.
33:47
SPEAKER_03: I know.
33:48
SPEAKER_03: I'm sure.
33:50
SPEAKER_03: So that's where it could be somewhat of an equalizer.
33:52
SPEAKER_03: I think I agree with you.
33:55
SPEAKER_03: It's going to be a close game.
33:56
SPEAKER_03: I'm just going to give the edge to Lenore Ryan this time.
33:58
SPEAKER_05: All right.
33:59
SPEAKER_05: I like Anderson.
34:00
SPEAKER_03: Limestone Wingate.
34:04
SPEAKER_05: As much as I love Wingate, I got to give the edge to Limestone.
34:09
SPEAKER_05: I do too.
34:10
SPEAKER_03: I think Limestone is geared to go all the way.
34:16
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so do I.
34:17
SPEAKER_05: I think remember though, this is going to be a competitive game.
34:20
SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
34:20
SPEAKER_05: And I think I think Wingate's got a little confidence now.
34:23
SPEAKER_05: You know, like, hey, we can play with limestone.
34:26
SPEAKER_05: We got the talent.
34:28
SPEAKER_05: You know, we we were in the box a lot.
34:30
SPEAKER_05: You know, we did some things.
34:31
SPEAKER_05: If we can clean things up, you know, took care of Newberry to get back at limestone.
34:37
SPEAKER_05: I bet you limestone saying, damn, wish we had Newberry.
34:43
SPEAKER_03: I wouldn't doubt that.
34:44
SPEAKER_03: I would not doubt that.
34:45
SPEAKER_05: So, you know, there's a lot of respect between limestone and Wingate.
34:49
SPEAKER_05: And uh I'm gonna have to give the edge to limestone.
34:52
SPEAKER_05: They're just very good.
34:53
SPEAKER_05: And they just seem you know, with all the news of them closing down, I just it just looks like they're on a mission now.
34:59
SPEAKER_03: Yep, yep.
35:01
SPEAKER_03: Okay, let's go.
35:03
SPEAKER_03: And it pains me.
35:04
SPEAKER_03: It pains me to say.
35:05
SPEAKER_03: I know, you know.
35:07
SPEAKER_03: I'm uh I'm a little more clear-eyed than you.
35:11
SPEAKER_03: Gotta call spade a spade, though.
35:13
SPEAKER_03: You know, I am definitely one of those guys.
35:15
SPEAKER_03: I gotta call it like I see.
35:16
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
35:17
SPEAKER_03: Now, once again, we could be told we're we we're batting like maybe 500.
35:22
SPEAKER_05: So dude, we're two knuckleheads.
35:23
SPEAKER_05: We are just throwing shit against the wall and see if it sticks.
35:27
SPEAKER_03: But we say it with confidence, and that's the important thing.
35:30
SPEAKER_05: That's right.
35:31
SPEAKER_05: That's funny.
35:31
SPEAKER_03: Fake it till you make it.
35:32
SPEAKER_03: That's what I like.
35:33
SPEAKER_03: That's right.
35:33
SPEAKER_03: That's right.
35:34
SPEAKER_03: All right, let's move to some finals and some well, not all of them are AQs.
35:40
SPEAKER_03: The first one, Tampa against Rollins.
35:43
SPEAKER_03: You mentioned this in the top 10 roundup.
35:45
SPEAKER_03: Tampa wins 11-5.
35:47
SPEAKER_03: Danny, this thing was very close in the first half.
35:53
SPEAKER_03: It was 4-3 at half.
35:55
SPEAKER_03: 4-3 at half Tampa with the lead.
35:59
SPEAKER_03: Low scoring.
36:00
SPEAKER_03: And I wrote a note, I'm like, Coach Lewis and Rollins have got to feel good.
36:07
SPEAKER_03: Keeping Tampa only four goals in a half and them only being down by one.
36:13
SPEAKER_03: And the question was, could they keep it up?
36:16
SPEAKER_03: And the answer was no.
36:18
SPEAKER_05: A resounding, no.
36:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they it it was another one of those death by a thousand cuts where it wasn't like I don't think Tampa went on a flurry.
36:31
SPEAKER_03: They went on a run.
36:33
SPEAKER_03: You know, basically four unanswered goals, but it's not like you could it's not like you like it was like four goals in a minute and a half or two minutes, right?
36:47
SPEAKER_03: They were over time you're thinking, okay, can can Rollins come back?
36:51
SPEAKER_03: Can they bring it back?
36:53
SPEAKER_03: They finally scored with 105 left in the third to make it 8-4.
36:59
SPEAKER_03: And you're like, okay, they're still not totally out of it.
37:02
SPEAKER_03: Spartans uh start off on EMO and they bury it, so then it's 9-4.
37:08
SPEAKER_03: And the sale, the wins out of the sale right at the beginning there.
37:13
SPEAKER_05: You know, Rollins struggled, they struggled at the dot.
37:17
SPEAKER_05: And that's huge, you know, like because Flores and not NASA combined went 16 for 18 at face-off for Tampa.
37:26
SPEAKER_05: And and Rollins threw out three guys, Garvin Jones and Baker, and they were combined three for eighteen.
37:32
SPEAKER_05: So, you know, Tampa was getting the ball a lot.
37:35
SPEAKER_05: But you know what?
37:36
SPEAKER_05: Defensive.
37:37
SPEAKER_03: Ontario had a great game, too.
37:39
SPEAKER_03: He was making some stopping practically everything.
37:42
SPEAKER_05: 14 saves.
37:44
SPEAKER_05: Bashaw had four, Lindsay had three and one, Ortega had two, Kesselring with one for the Spartans and for Rollins, Sam Watson had two goals.
37:53
SPEAKER_05: Our man, Jack Johnstone, one and one.
37:56
SPEAKER_05: Ungarat.
37:57
SPEAKER_05: Ungarat?
37:58
SPEAKER_05: Ungarat?
37:59
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
38:00
SPEAKER_05: Ungarat.
38:00
SPEAKER_05: I think it's Ungarat.
38:02
SPEAKER_05: Ungarot or Ungerat?
38:04
SPEAKER_05: One.
38:05
SPEAKER_05: Boik, right?
38:06
SPEAKER_05: Boyk?
38:07
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
38:08
SPEAKER_05: That's how you pronounce it?
38:09
SPEAKER_05: Match Boik.
38:10
SPEAKER_05: Eight saves for Rollins.
38:12
SPEAKER_05: Hey, you know, Rollins had a kind of inopportune year, you know.
38:16
SPEAKER_05: The injury bug got them.
38:18
SPEAKER_05: I think, you know, they kind of struggled a little bit in in the beginning of the season, had some unfortunate losses, but came came on strong at the end.
38:27
SPEAKER_03: Right.
38:28
SPEAKER_05: But but Tampa's.
38:30
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we talked about this last week.
38:31
SPEAKER_03: Would they have enough in their tank to go against them?
38:35
SPEAKER_03: I was really not surprised.
38:41
SPEAKER_03: I was really impressed after the first half, the way they had worked it.
38:46
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, wow.
38:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
38:47
SPEAKER_03: This could be closer.
38:48
SPEAKER_03: And I just think Tampa just has too much, too much over what Rollins had to stick with on.
38:57
SPEAKER_03: They're tough.
38:57
SPEAKER_03: They're tough.
38:58
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
38:59
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
39:00
SPEAKER_03: Another so Tampa gets Conference Championship for Sunshine State and the automatic qualifier.
39:07
SPEAKER_03: The first one that was given.
39:09
SPEAKER_03: The second one that went out this past weekend was in Conference Carolinas.
39:14
SPEAKER_03: North Greenville beating Belmont Abbey 6-5.
39:20
SPEAKER_03: This was a defensive struggle.
39:25
SPEAKER_03: Pretty physical and scrappy game, Danny, from what I saw.
39:29
SPEAKER_03: They were fighting for the ball all the time.
39:35
SPEAKER_03: It was 4-3 at half Belmont Abbey.
39:38
SPEAKER_03: North Greenville scores first in the third to tie it with 1354 left in the third to make it 4-4.
39:44
SPEAKER_03: It was only 5-4 after 3.
39:47
SPEAKER_03: So Belmont Abbey does not score in the third.
39:52
SPEAKER_03: And there were only two goals really in the third.
39:58
SPEAKER_05: Everything you'd think would happen in a conference tournament game kind of happened in this game, you know?
40:03
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
40:04
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
40:05
SPEAKER_03: It was it was uh there was some great D.
40:09
SPEAKER_03: North Greenville killed some penalties and ran out some of the shot clock.
40:13
SPEAKER_03: Um I I just think it was a really if you if you don't like low-scoring games, you wouldn't like this game.
40:20
SPEAKER_03: If you watch how these teams went at it, it was a great game.
40:26
SPEAKER_03: Belmont Abbey even had a ch a chance with one minute to go, and they they ended up throwing the ball away, which was too bad.
40:32
SPEAKER_03: But it was it was all the way down to the end, they had a chance.
40:36
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
40:38
SPEAKER_05: It was a hard fought defensive battle.
40:39
SPEAKER_05: It was more of a defensive game.
40:41
SPEAKER_05: Tied at one after one.
40:42
SPEAKER_05: Belmont Abbey scored three in the second.
40:45
SPEAKER_05: North Greenville scored twice, and uh the Crusaders led 4-3 at halftime.
40:51
SPEAKER_03: No, Belmont Abbey was up 4-3.
40:53
SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, it's Crusaders.
40:55
SPEAKER_03: That's right.
40:56
SPEAKER_03: They both used to be the Crusaders.
40:57
SPEAKER_03: Now it's the Crusaders and the Trailblazers.
40:59
SPEAKER_03: There we go.
41:00
SPEAKER_05: And the Trailblazers.
41:01
SPEAKER_05: That's right.
41:03
SPEAKER_05: Still hard for me to come up with that.
41:05
SPEAKER_05: So yeah.
41:07
SPEAKER_05: And the Crusaders led 4-3 at halftime.
41:09
SPEAKER_05: North Greenville scored two in the third and held Belmont Abbey scoreless.
41:15
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
41:15
SPEAKER_05: And North Greenville took back the lead and had a 5-4 lead going into the fourth, Kev.
41:21
SPEAKER_05: Each team after the fourth only scored one apiece in the final frame, and North Greenville takes the Conference Carolinas championship and is headed to the NCAA Tony.
41:33
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
41:34
SPEAKER_05: Good for them.
41:35
SPEAKER_03: So what about what a great season to get your first ever Conference Championship and first ever automatic qualifier?
41:44
SPEAKER_05: Actually, congrats to Corey Strauss and the North Greenville boys.
41:48
SPEAKER_05: Jackson Reif had three.
41:50
SPEAKER_05: Hayden Moffitt with two.
41:51
SPEAKER_05: Remember Hayden Moffat?
41:52
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
41:53
SPEAKER_05: Dude, this kid set a new program record for assists, Hayden Moffitt.
42:00
SPEAKER_05: He's the better-looking Moffitt boy.
42:02
SPEAKER_05: You know, my Miles was at LR, and his dad, Dustin, I'm sure, is quite proud of what's going on with everything at North Greenville.
42:12
SPEAKER_05: Remember, Hayden Moffat seemed like he was a freshman yesterday.
42:16
SPEAKER_05: You know what I mean?
42:17
SPEAKER_05: I know.
42:18
SPEAKER_05: It seems like yesterday.
42:20
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
42:20
SPEAKER_05: Aiden Sizemore scored one for uh for um North Greenville and for Belmont Abbey.
42:29
SPEAKER_05: Jack Clow had four goals on eight shots, had a good day.
42:32
SPEAKER_05: Nate Lorenzo had one, and Mikey Sweegert had an assist.
42:36
SPEAKER_05: So what a great season for Corey Struss and North Greenville.
42:41
SPEAKER_05: They're heading to the dance.
42:43
SPEAKER_05: Our man Caden Castle and Hayden Moffitt, they're gonna go ball out.
42:47
SPEAKER_05: And uh I'm excited to see North Greenville play in the NCAAs.
42:52
SPEAKER_05: I want to see who their matchups are gonna be.
42:55
SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
42:56
SPEAKER_03: I I think that's what makes it so worth so worthwhile.
43:00
SPEAKER_03: It is.
43:00
SPEAKER_03: Like, what are the good matchups gonna be and how do they match up against teams maybe they haven't even seen all year?
43:06
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's exciting.
43:07
SPEAKER_05: I'm I'm excited for North Greenville.
43:09
SPEAKER_05: I really am.
43:11
SPEAKER_05: We had Coach Struss on our on our program, and I really liked him.
43:15
SPEAKER_05: There's just something about him that I liked.
43:17
SPEAKER_05: I just like his demeanor, just the way he talked about his his team and and and what their their goals were.
43:24
SPEAKER_05: And hey coach, you did everything you said you were gonna do, and here you are, you're in the dance, man.
43:30
SPEAKER_05: Love it.
43:32
SPEAKER_00: Dance, dance, dance.
43:35
SPEAKER_03: Ah, the best part of the year, Kev.
43:37
SPEAKER_03: This is great.
43:37
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
43:38
SPEAKER_03: Now we've got one other, we had two division finals, really kind of conference finals, but they then battle each other.
43:46
SPEAKER_03: Colorado Mesa against Concordia of Irvine.
43:50
SPEAKER_03: Colorado Mesa just really blew this game open.
43:55
SPEAKER_03: 15 6 win.
43:56
SPEAKER_03: I thought this would be a lot closer.
43:58
SPEAKER_03: I didn't get to see it.
43:59
SPEAKER_05: Me too.
44:00
SPEAKER_03: But they really just took it.
44:02
SPEAKER_03: And how did they get Westminster lost to CUI in overtime 13-12?
44:07
SPEAKER_05: Right.
44:08
SPEAKER_03: And like we thought Colorado Mesa beat Dominican handily 22-7.
44:13
SPEAKER_03: So I thought Concordia would play CMU close like they did a year ago.
44:21
SPEAKER_03: But Colorado Mesa showed what they're made of.
44:24
SPEAKER_05: Hey, this is Colorado Mesa's chance.
44:26
SPEAKER_05: How many times have they been knocking on the NCAA door?
44:29
SPEAKER_05: Right.
44:30
SPEAKER_05: You know, they were like bullshit.
44:31
SPEAKER_05: I ain't letting CUI do anything.
44:33
SPEAKER_05: You know, Concordia's getting a beat down today because we need to get to that to that next level just to get a chance to get to the game.
44:41
SPEAKER_05: So Mesa, yeah, beats up on Concordia rather bad, 15 to 6.
44:46
SPEAKER_05: And now, you know, face Flagler for that Peach Belt RMAC automatic qualifier.
44:52
SPEAKER_03: How cool is that?
44:54
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
44:54
SPEAKER_03: So let's talk about the Flagler lander game.
44:57
SPEAKER_03: Flagler pulls it out 11-10.
44:59
SPEAKER_03: Now, this was a close game when we thought it was.
45:01
SPEAKER_05: We both picked Flagler, so little pat on the back for us there.
45:05
SPEAKER_03: It's the only one of the night for me.
45:09
SPEAKER_03: And I actually even tried to pay for this game, but for some reason the browser I was on was not taking my money.
45:17
SPEAKER_03: So I didn't get to watch the game at all.
45:19
SPEAKER_03: I just kind of looked at what it was.
45:21
SPEAKER_03: 11-10.
45:22
SPEAKER_03: This was a total game of runs, if you look at it.
45:24
SPEAKER_03: If you looked at the box score, Bearcots came out with a 4-0 run.
45:29
SPEAKER_03: Saints fought back and tied it at 5 in the second quarter, 6-5 at half Lander.
45:34
SPEAKER_03: Landard goes up by 3 again in the third.
45:37
SPEAKER_03: Flagler then scores three in a row to tie it.
45:39
SPEAKER_03: Landard goes up by 1, and then Tyler Douglas goes on his own run and scores three in a row to make it.
45:52
SPEAKER_03: The last two he had was to make it 11-9 and have Flagler up.
45:56
SPEAKER_03: And that was, and then Landor scored one more to close, but they couldn't go any closer to that.
46:00
SPEAKER_03: Last four minutes was no goals.
46:03
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
46:05
SPEAKER_05: So Flagler holds on in that tough beach belt.
46:09
SPEAKER_05: And now they face Mesa.
46:58
SPEAKER_03: To watch.
46:59
SPEAKER_03: To watch.
47:00
SPEAKER_03: Why?
47:02
SPEAKER_03: Because it's historical.
47:05
SPEAKER_03: It's a historic game.
47:06
SPEAKER_03: We said this at the beginning of the season.
47:09
SPEAKER_03: We're going through the conference previews and we talked to coaches about this.
47:13
SPEAKER_03: What a great setup.
47:16
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
47:17
SPEAKER_03: Love it.
47:17
SPEAKER_03: Two conferences that didn't have enough teams to qualify.
47:24
SPEAKER_03: So they band together and decide if none of us can get in, let's make it so one of us gets in.
47:32
SPEAKER_05: Right.
47:33
SPEAKER_05: It's intriguing.
47:34
SPEAKER_03: I love it.
47:35
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
47:36
SPEAKER_03: And now Colorado Mesa against your boys, even though I had them in my top 20.
47:42
SPEAKER_03: Flagler.
47:44
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
47:45
SPEAKER_03: Who do you pick?
47:47
SPEAKER_05: I'm going to say, you ready for this?
47:51
SPEAKER_05: Colorado Mesa.
47:52
SPEAKER_03: That's my pick, too.
47:54
SPEAKER_05: Because they have the pedigree of being a really, really good team for many years.
48:05
SPEAKER_05: They've been knocking on that door for the NCAA for the last three years, Kev, that we've been doing this podcast.
48:12
SPEAKER_05: They've been right there.
48:14
SPEAKER_05: Um, they are the traveling crazy men.
48:18
SPEAKER_05: They travel all over.
48:19
SPEAKER_05: They have very few home games.
48:22
SPEAKER_05: And um Flaggler, this is new for Flaggler.
48:28
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
48:29
SPEAKER_05: It's a new, it's a new dawn for Flagler.
48:32
SPEAKER_05: Are these players gonna is the spotlight gonna be too big?
48:36
SPEAKER_05: Are they gonna be gripping it too tight?
48:38
SPEAKER_05: You know, are their sticks gonna be tight?
48:41
SPEAKER_05: And um, I think it's gonna be a great game, but I think Mesa with their pedigree and their little bit of their history, I think they're gonna squeak it out.
48:53
SPEAKER_05: That's my prediction.
48:54
SPEAKER_03: I'm right there with you.
48:56
SPEAKER_03: Let's add a few more notes in there.
48:58
SPEAKER_03: One, if you look at who they played head-to-head, same teams, Flagler did better in the Sunshine State than Colorado Mesa.
49:07
SPEAKER_03: Colorado Mesa, though, had to travel a damn far away to get that.
49:11
SPEAKER_03: And if you watch those games, remember, they lost a lot by Florida Southern, lost to Florida Tech by one, and then handed it to St.
49:19
SPEAKER_03: Leo.
49:20
SPEAKER_05: Yep.
49:21
SPEAKER_03: They learned, they learned, they learned.
49:23
SPEAKER_03: They built, they came back home, and they played Armac and some other teams, and they fared really well.
49:32
SPEAKER_03: And I think what they just did against a good Concordia team.
49:39
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
49:39
SPEAKER_03: They're good.
49:41
SPEAKER_03: They're very good.
49:42
SPEAKER_03: I think I think I gotta get the nod to Colorado Mesa.
49:48
SPEAKER_03: If you look at a few things, we talked about this.
49:50
SPEAKER_03: Flagler lost.
49:53
SPEAKER_03: Right?
49:53
SPEAKER_03: They lost a game, they lost to Lander before they in conference play until they beat him in the tournament.
49:59
SPEAKER_03: By one.
50:00
SPEAKER_03: By one.
50:01
SPEAKER_03: Colorado Mesa lost to Westminster in conference play by one.
50:06
SPEAKER_03: There's some a lot of similarities.
50:09
SPEAKER_03: So it could go either way.
50:10
SPEAKER_03: I think the difference is I think Coach Moyer will have Colorado Mesa with the experience of playing in these bigger games.
50:21
SPEAKER_03: I think they're going to be more ready.
50:23
SPEAKER_03: That's what I say.
50:24
SPEAKER_03: That's I totally agree with that.
50:28
SPEAKER_03: But it will be so much fun to watch on Friday.
50:31
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, hopefully we don't have to pay for it.
50:34
SPEAKER_05: I think we do.
50:35
SPEAKER_05: Bullshit.
50:37
SPEAKER_05: That's bullshit, man.
50:38
SPEAKER_05: I'm tired of paying for these things.
50:40
SPEAKER_05: Man, it's a college game.
50:41
SPEAKER_05: We should be able to watch it.
50:43
SPEAKER_03: Flow sports.
50:44
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I so let's talk about that for a second.
50:48
SPEAKER_03: This is not a shout-out.
50:49
SPEAKER_03: This is the thing that makes it tough, especially if you're trying to grow the game in Division II.
50:54
SPEAKER_03: A lot of several Division II conferences use Flowsports.
50:58
SPEAKER_03: I've seen a lot of things about Flow Sports has got to do a better job of filming the games.
51:03
SPEAKER_03: It's not Flow Sports filming the games.
51:06
SPEAKER_03: It's whoever they've got locally on at college, at that college, filming the games, having broadcasters or not having broadcasters.
51:17
SPEAKER_03: It's just that it goes through that networking platform so that the conferences, I believe, can make money.
51:25
SPEAKER_03: And I don't know if they do it this way.
51:27
SPEAKER_03: I pay for it because certainly I watch as because of this podcast, I watch plenty of games where it's worth it for me.
51:36
SPEAKER_03: Right.
51:37
SPEAKER_03: For the for the annual subscription to get all those different games.
51:40
SPEAKER_03: But if I was a parent or a grandparent or a sibling or an uncle or a cousin, and I want to watch my you know, my relative play only when his games are on, it's not worth it.
51:57
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's not.
51:58
SPEAKER_05: It's not worth it.
52:00
SPEAKER_05: It's a lot of money, flow sports.
52:02
SPEAKER_05: And some of these other streaming services are expensive too.
52:06
SPEAKER_05: You know, I mean, I shouldn't have to pay$10 to watch a Division II college game on TV.
52:14
SPEAKER_05: If I if I was live, you know, if I was going to the game, that's a little different.
52:18
SPEAKER_03: Right.
52:19
SPEAKER_05: You know, I would be willing to pay the$10 or$12 or whatever it was to get in.
52:24
SPEAKER_05: It was$12 to get in the SAC Newberry game.
52:28
SPEAKER_05: So the SAC was charging$12 a ticket.
52:31
SPEAKER_05: Which I, you know, that's worth it to me.
52:34
SPEAKER_05: But to watch it on TV, it's not worth it.
52:37
SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
52:38
SPEAKER_05: I I just think it's wrong to be charging these people, you know, they just want to see their kid.
52:44
SPEAKER_05: They want to see their grandson, they want to see their nephew, you know.
52:47
SPEAKER_03: And how do you get high school players interested in watching if they can't go to the game live?
52:53
SPEAKER_03: That's right.
52:54
SPEAKER_05: That's right.
52:56
SPEAKER_05: That's right.
52:56
SPEAKER_05: That's a good point, Kevin.
52:58
SPEAKER_05: That's a really good point.
53:00
SPEAKER_05: You know, you got a kid that's interested, you know, school reaches out to a kid, kid doesn't know most about the school.
53:06
SPEAKER_05: I mean, watch a couple of their games and see what they're about, right?
53:09
SPEAKER_05: No, he's got to pay eight bucks, ten bucks a game.
53:12
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
53:13
SPEAKER_03: You know, it's or you have to have for flow, you have to have a subscription.
53:16
SPEAKER_03: And I don't know if they changed it where you can just do it for monthly.
53:20
SPEAKER_03: You can do you can do them, you can do it monthly now.
53:23
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
53:24
SPEAKER_05: So, but it's still expensive.
53:26
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
53:27
SPEAKER_05: You know, it's not cheap, you know.
53:29
SPEAKER_05: So I don't know.
53:30
SPEAKER_05: I'm I'm against the paying for the streaming, you know.
53:33
SPEAKER_05: Like I pay the$10 to do ESPN Plus, so I can watch the Division I games.
53:40
SPEAKER_05: But even on some of them, like if you got the ACC network, you got the Big Ten network, and it costs money.
53:47
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but with ESPN Plus, you're getting much more than just Lacks games.
53:52
SPEAKER_05: Right.
53:53
SPEAKER_05: But at least I can get those lacrosse games, you know.
53:56
SPEAKER_05: But even then, like a couple of years ago, the ACC network and the Big Ten network, you didn't have to pay for.
54:02
SPEAKER_05: It was part of the ESPN package.
54:05
SPEAKER_05: So I could watch uh uh uh St.
54:08
SPEAKER_05: Bonaventure play, you know, Mercer or something like that.
54:12
SPEAKER_05: But I can't do that no more because they're charging now for so it's like you're on ESPN now, you it's an extra 10 or an extra eight dollars.
54:20
SPEAKER_05: It's just it's getting out of hand.
54:23
SPEAKER_03: That's just my opinion.
54:25
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I'm not on the administration side.
54:28
SPEAKER_03: I don't know what they go through and what what real benefits they get out of it because it do they get enough money back through Flow Sports that really helps them with scholarships or other things, upgrades to their their facilities.
54:41
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
54:42
SPEAKER_03: It'd be almost good to have uh an AD on to talk about that, I think, in a way, because maybe we don't understand that, but I guarantee from a fan's perspective, it sucks.
54:53
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it does.
54:55
SPEAKER_05: You know, I get it.
54:56
SPEAKER_05: You know, there's m a lot of these schools are small, and money is always a you know a thing with small schools.
55:04
SPEAKER_05: Not all small schools, some of them have money, but a lot of them, you know, need that$8, that$10.
55:11
SPEAKER_05: You know, they do.
55:12
SPEAKER_05: And I get that too.
55:14
SPEAKER_05: So, but for two knuckleheads like you and I who are running a podcast, we just want to watch a game on a Wednesday afternoon at 4 30.
55:21
SPEAKER_05: So we can banter about it on a Monday and Tuesday night together.
55:25
SPEAKER_05: We're spending money.
55:26
SPEAKER_05: It's like, yeah.
55:29
SPEAKER_03: All right, Danny, stop the presses, hold the publication.
55:34
SPEAKER_03: We screwed up.
55:36
SPEAKER_03: We recorded last Tuesday, and after we finished doing the recording, I realized that we missed going over the CACC conference.
55:45
SPEAKER_03: Remember, I was on travel, I'm home now.
55:48
SPEAKER_03: I was on travel in beautiful Rome, New York.
55:50
SPEAKER_03: I didn't have my usual setup.
55:52
SPEAKER_03: I'm going through on a different thing, and I get off us recording, and I'm like, oh my gosh, can we do it?
56:01
SPEAKER_03: You couldn't do it Wednesday night because you had you had an engagement, you had a dinner.
56:04
SPEAKER_03: Uh actually, we were gonna do it last night, didn't work out.
56:07
SPEAKER_03: Now we're recording on Thursday.
56:09
SPEAKER_03: This is like a repeat of the last delay.
56:11
SPEAKER_05: And we're all doing it all for the CACC.
56:14
SPEAKER_05: See the extra steps that we go.
56:16
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we couldn't leave them out.
56:18
SPEAKER_03: I didn't feel that was right.
56:19
SPEAKER_03: But what does it give us allow us to do?
56:21
SPEAKER_03: It allows us to go over the Wednesday games and even the GLVC.
56:25
SPEAKER_03: We were recording Thursday night, they just finished up their semi, so we can at least list what they are and get everyone up to speed.
56:34
SPEAKER_03: What was crazy, Danny, about the Wednesday games, while you were going to dinner, that was that's got to be one of the best days ever for D2 lacrosse.
56:46
SPEAKER_03: Five games decided by one point.
56:48
SPEAKER_03: Oh, that includes tonight.
56:49
SPEAKER_03: So five Wednesday and Thursday, five games decided by one point, and three of them went to overtime.
56:59
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's 20 time, kid.
57:01
SPEAKER_05: You know, survive in advance, you know what I mean?
57:04
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was amazing.
57:06
SPEAKER_03: I literally I was first out on my back deck watching it, and I had three tabs up, and I'd go in between, and then finally they were getting around to the third and fourth quarter of these games, and they were all so close.
57:19
SPEAKER_03: I went in back into my house, got my tablet up, two other monitors up, and my notes, so I could watch all and I it was like I was trying to play defense with my head on a swivel.
57:31
SPEAKER_03: Where's the ball?
57:32
SPEAKER_03: Where's the ball?
57:32
SPEAKER_03: Where's the ball?
57:32
SPEAKER_03: Where's the player?
57:33
SPEAKER_03: Where's the player?
57:34
SPEAKER_03: Where's the offensive player?
57:35
SPEAKER_03: Where are they going?
57:36
SPEAKER_05: The things that Kevin Stenstrom does to produce this podcast.
57:39
SPEAKER_05: You go to no no stone unturned, Kevin.
57:43
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so so this actually becomes kind of an episode within an episode.
57:48
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
57:49
SPEAKER_05: All because of the CACC.
57:51
SPEAKER_05: You should consider yourselves lucky, guys.
57:55
SPEAKER_03: I'm sure they're appreciative.
57:57
SPEAKER_03: So let's start off right with the CACC.
58:01
SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about how they got to the semis, and we'll go through the games that happened yesterday.
58:08
SPEAKER_03: Post and Bridgeport played on Monday.
58:10
SPEAKER_03: Post beat Bridgeport 15-12.
58:12
SPEAKER_03: So then it was Post against Wilmington and Georgian Court against Chestnut Hill.
58:20
SPEAKER_03: If you if we had recorded this on Tuesday, my picks would have been Wilmington, my head would have been with Georgian Court, but my prediction would have been Chestnut Hill.
58:33
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
58:35
SPEAKER_03: I I've talked I said this all season.
58:37
SPEAKER_03: I'm not betting against Chestnut Hill.
58:40
SPEAKER_05: They've won it twice in a row.
58:41
SPEAKER_05: It's hard to bet against them, you know.
58:44
SPEAKER_03: So this is what happened in the semis last night yesterday.
58:48
SPEAKER_03: Post lost to Wilmington 25 to 10.
58:51
SPEAKER_03: Wilmington did a good job on them.
58:54
SPEAKER_03: Wilmington is in a in the catbird seat.
58:58
SPEAKER_03: Georgian Cork beat Chestnut Hill 13-12 in overtime.
59:05
SPEAKER_03: But get this, Danny.
59:06
SPEAKER_03: I didn't get to watch the game.
59:07
SPEAKER_03: It was in the afternoon.
59:09
SPEAKER_03: I had to work.
59:10
SPEAKER_03: I went and looked at the box score.
59:14
SPEAKER_03: This is gonna sound eerily familiar to another game.
59:18
SPEAKER_03: Same same day.
59:20
SPEAKER_03: Chestnut Hill scored two goals in the last 40 seconds to bring it to overtime.
59:25
SPEAKER_03: Wow.
59:27
SPEAKER_03: And that's why you can't count Chestnut Hill out.
59:30
SPEAKER_03: That's exciting.
59:31
SPEAKER_03: That's exciting.
59:32
SPEAKER_03: Went down, they won the face-off, they went down and buried the biscuit.
59:36
SPEAKER_03: Uh they had the ball and never relinquished the ball.
59:38
SPEAKER_03: And they they actually scored like two seconds left with on the shot clock to win the game.
59:43
SPEAKER_03: So now Georgian Court faces Wilmington on Saturday.
59:48
SPEAKER_05: For the CACC championship, Kev.
59:50
SPEAKER_03: Yes, and an automatic qualifier.
59:53
SPEAKER_05: That's correct.
59:54
SPEAKER_05: And so both teams, whoever wins, it's going to be their first time in the NCAAs.
1:00:00
SPEAKER_03: That is so awesome.
1:00:01
SPEAKER_05: Yep, yeah, really cool.
1:00:02
SPEAKER_05: So who do you like?
1:00:04
SPEAKER_03: What's your prediction?
1:00:05
SPEAKER_05: Uh Wilmington.
1:00:08
SPEAKER_03: So if I want to go with my can't beat a team twice, tough to be the team twice.
1:00:14
SPEAKER_03: Not you can't, tough to be the team twice.
1:00:16
SPEAKER_03: My prediction would probably be Georgian Court.
1:00:22
SPEAKER_03: Actually, I'm gonna stick with that.
1:00:23
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna stick with my tough to beat a team.
1:00:26
SPEAKER_03: They lost, I think, like 16 to 10 against Wilmington.
1:00:28
SPEAKER_03: Wilmington played them really well.
1:00:31
SPEAKER_03: I think this is a close game.
1:00:32
SPEAKER_03: Wilmington, I kind of agree with your pick, too.
1:00:35
SPEAKER_03: This is a tough one for me.
1:00:36
SPEAKER_03: I'm going with that prediction, that that theory, but Wilmington has just played better and better, it seems, throughout the season.
1:00:45
SPEAKER_03: And they took care of uh Georgian court fairly handily.
1:00:50
SPEAKER_03: It was close that first half, I think, in their first game, and then Wilmington poured it on.
1:00:54
SPEAKER_03: So it's a tough battle for Georgian Court.
1:00:57
SPEAKER_05: Wilmington's been playing real, real well lately, Kev.
1:01:00
SPEAKER_05: You know, kind of one of those quiet teams behind the scenes a little bit.
1:01:04
SPEAKER_05: You know, didn't start out that strong.
1:01:07
SPEAKER_05: And then, you know, as the as the year progressed, the team got better and better and played better and better.
1:01:12
SPEAKER_05: And now they're gonna be fighting for a CACC championship and a and uh maybe hop hopefully for them an automatic qualifier into the NCAA tournament.
1:01:23
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it would be awesome.
1:01:24
SPEAKER_03: It it's a win-win no matter who goes who wins, because there it's the first time a CACC team goes to NCAAs.
1:01:31
SPEAKER_03: Right.
1:01:31
SPEAKER_03: I think that's really cool.
1:01:32
SPEAKER_03: See how it's great.
1:01:33
SPEAKER_03: It's awesome.
1:01:35
SPEAKER_03: All right, let's talk the ECC semis.
1:01:39
SPEAKER_03: They went as we predicted, David.
1:01:42
SPEAKER_03: Mercy against Roberts Wesley, and Mercy won 11-8.
1:01:46
SPEAKER_03: That's a little bit closer than I may have thought it could have been, but Roberts Wesley's a good team.
1:01:50
SPEAKER_03: Malloy put it on Frostburg State 19-8.
1:01:56
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, Malloy lit it up, lit it up.
1:01:58
SPEAKER_03: So the final's gonna be on Saturday.
1:02:01
SPEAKER_05: It's a copy of copy of last week's game.
1:02:03
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, Cam Dorfman.
1:02:05
SPEAKER_05: Which Cam Dorfman made that amazing uh 70-yard goalie to goal shot.
1:02:12
SPEAKER_05: So I like Malloy.
1:02:14
SPEAKER_05: I said it last time.
1:02:15
SPEAKER_05: I said it last time, and I'm gonna say it again.
1:02:17
SPEAKER_05: I like Malloy.
1:02:18
SPEAKER_03: I I'm gonna go with Malloy as well.
1:02:20
SPEAKER_03: This is going through the same theory, tough to beat the same team twice.
1:02:25
SPEAKER_03: They brought him to overtime.
1:02:26
SPEAKER_03: That's a little bit different than Wilmington, Georgian court.
1:02:29
SPEAKER_03: I think I think these two teams are very, very close.
1:02:34
SPEAKER_03: I expect another like one goal game.
1:02:36
SPEAKER_05: All right.
1:02:36
SPEAKER_05: If it goes into overtime, do you think Coach Dunn calls a 10-man ride again?
1:02:40
SPEAKER_05: No.
1:02:42
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I don't think so either.
1:02:44
SPEAKER_05: But just think it took that's what it took for Mercy to win that game.
1:02:47
SPEAKER_05: And I'm not taking anything away, but that's kind of like a one in how many thousand sh chances, you know what I mean?
1:02:55
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, especially in an overtime game and a tournament game.
1:03:02
SPEAKER_05: Oh, really great play.
1:03:04
SPEAKER_05: Awesome.
1:03:05
SPEAKER_05: It went viral.
1:03:06
SPEAKER_03: I wish I had actually seen it.
1:03:08
SPEAKER_05: Nobody saw it, Kev, except for the people there.
1:03:12
SPEAKER_03: All right, that's gonna be a great matchup.
1:03:15
SPEAKER_03: I don't, I don't, I hope these are dispersed on times, or I'll be like my head would be probably explode on a swivel if they're all at the same time.
1:03:25
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
1:03:26
SPEAKER_03: Also on Wednesday, two night games, Wingate against Limestone.
1:03:30
SPEAKER_03: Let's talk that one first.
1:03:32
SPEAKER_03: Wingate pulls it out 17-16 in overtime.
1:03:36
SPEAKER_03: This game was crazy, Danny.
1:03:38
SPEAKER_03: Wingate was down seven to one.
1:03:40
SPEAKER_03: I'm watching, I'm like, it's over.
1:03:42
SPEAKER_03: Wingate has not come back from this this big of a score against a team like Limestone all season.
1:03:48
SPEAKER_03: They didn't do it against Anderson, they didn't do it against Newberry.
1:03:51
SPEAKER_03: They're not gonna do it.
1:03:52
SPEAKER_03: They came back and tied it 7-7.
1:03:55
SPEAKER_03: Then they went ahead.
1:03:56
SPEAKER_03: They were actually up.
1:04:00
SPEAKER_05: Uh well, they were up in the final minutes?
1:04:03
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, they were up 16-14 with two minutes left.
1:04:07
SPEAKER_03: 16-14 with two minutes.
1:04:08
SPEAKER_03: No, they were up like one 40 seconds left.
1:04:11
SPEAKER_05: With yeah, with with one.
1:04:12
SPEAKER_03: Line scored two goals within like the last minute.
1:04:15
SPEAKER_03: It was within the last minute.
1:04:16
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, one was at 120 and the other one was at 20.
1:04:20
SPEAKER_05: Oh, I thought it was less than that.
1:04:21
SPEAKER_03: But the last one, you're right, was 20 seconds.
1:04:23
SPEAKER_03: I thought it was less than that.
1:04:25
SPEAKER_03: I thought they did it, but you you're probably right.
1:04:27
SPEAKER_03: It just felt like the same sort of thing.
1:04:29
SPEAKER_03: It's awesome.
1:04:29
SPEAKER_03: I was already writing down in my notes Wingate won this game because they're up two goals against Limestone.
1:04:34
SPEAKER_03: Limestone did not give up.
1:04:35
SPEAKER_03: Then they went to overtime and it went back and forth a couple times.
1:04:39
SPEAKER_03: Both of them had possessions a few times before Wingate buried it to win that game.
1:04:43
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, so I had that dinner, that the dinner event I had to go to.
1:04:46
SPEAKER_05: So on the way home, I had a good hour drive, and I had live box score on my phone as I'm driving 75 miles an hour down the Southern State Parkway.
1:05:00
SPEAKER_05: And uh just kept hitting the refresh button like every two exits.
1:05:03
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:05:04
SPEAKER_05: And we tied 11-11, then it was 12-11, then it was 13-11, then it was 13-12, then it was 13-13, then it was 14-13 Wingate, then it was tied 14-14, and then it was 16-14 Wingate with like a minute and 20 left.
1:05:21
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:05:22
SPEAKER_03: I thought I thought that was a great game, man.
1:05:25
SPEAKER_05: That was a great game.
1:05:26
SPEAKER_03: It was great, great to see.
1:05:27
SPEAKER_03: Great game.
1:05:28
SPEAKER_05: Was that the best game you saw all year?
1:05:31
SPEAKER_03: Uh, it's a classic.
1:05:33
SPEAKER_03: I would put it in the classic category.
1:05:35
SPEAKER_03: Here's the other game.
1:05:36
SPEAKER_03: Lenore Ryan against Anderson.
1:05:38
SPEAKER_03: You had Anderson, I had Lenore Ryan.
1:05:41
SPEAKER_03: Lenore Ryan was up 14 to 10 in the fourth before Anderson came back.
1:05:49
SPEAKER_03: And they pull it out 16 15.
1:05:52
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:05:53
SPEAKER_03: That was an amazing another amazing game.
1:05:55
SPEAKER_03: Like that went back and forth.
1:05:56
SPEAKER_03: There were a few runs a few times.
1:06:00
SPEAKER_03: Lenore Ryan had a fairly big lead.
1:06:02
SPEAKER_03: I think they were up 10-4 at one time.
1:06:04
SPEAKER_03: And Anderson came back, made it a little bit closer to halftime, and then they closed closed the gate.
1:06:09
SPEAKER_03: It went back and forth, like I said, until Lenore Ryan opened up again.
1:06:14
SPEAKER_03: And I really thought that was another one I'm watching.
1:06:16
SPEAKER_03: I'm like keeping my head on the swivel.
1:06:18
SPEAKER_03: As I'm watching it, Anderson, man, they're good.
1:06:22
SPEAKER_03: They've got a lot of talent.
1:06:24
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they really played really well, but Anderson, yeah, it was just amazing to watch.
1:06:29
SPEAKER_05: And they got the worst possible matchup they could want.
1:06:33
SPEAKER_05: They don't want Wingate.
1:06:35
SPEAKER_03: So who do who do you who are you picking?
1:06:38
SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna say after what I saw last night, I'm picking Wingate, man.
1:06:43
SPEAKER_05: They beat a good Newberry team and played awesome.
1:06:46
SPEAKER_05: And they played the number two team in the country and took it to them, Kevin.
1:06:50
SPEAKER_05: Not took it to them, but didn't back down at one step.
1:06:54
SPEAKER_05: Not one step.
1:06:55
SPEAKER_05: The talent matched up.
1:06:57
SPEAKER_03: They did not quit when they were down by that large margin, which is the first time I saw them this year doing that.
1:07:03
SPEAKER_03: Showed great.
1:07:04
SPEAKER_05: They showed a lot of guts last night.
1:07:06
SPEAKER_03: I will tell you, I'm picking Wingate also, because of that rule that I've stated.
1:07:12
SPEAKER_03: I'm just gonna be consistent.
1:07:14
SPEAKER_03: Sorry to beat a team twice, right?
1:07:16
SPEAKER_03: Hey, you know what?
1:07:16
SPEAKER_03: Again, passed to Anderson by a couple goals.
1:07:19
SPEAKER_05: By two first time around.
1:07:21
SPEAKER_05: Yep, and gave up four and gave up four extra man goals in that game.
1:07:26
SPEAKER_03: But let me tell you, when LR went up a couple times by several goals, I felt like the same way when I saw Limestone go up by six goals.
1:07:34
SPEAKER_03: I thought LR's got this game.
1:07:37
SPEAKER_03: And Anderson, these two teams will put up a fight against each other.
1:07:41
SPEAKER_03: I'm I would not be shocked if it's a one-goal game.
1:07:45
SPEAKER_05: Oh no.
1:07:46
SPEAKER_05: But LR doesn't have the defense Wingate has.
1:07:50
SPEAKER_05: And LR doesn't have the offense that Wingate has.
1:07:53
SPEAKER_05: Wingate's got a number five offense in the country.
1:07:56
SPEAKER_05: And Anderson's got the number one offense in the country.
1:08:00
SPEAKER_03: Well, actually, it's funny.
1:08:01
SPEAKER_03: I was looking at LAX ELO rankings for this stuff today.
1:08:05
SPEAKER_03: And it's amazing if you look at the different stats and even the overall.
1:08:10
SPEAKER_03: I think they're difference overall by one.
1:08:12
SPEAKER_03: Anderson's higher.
1:08:13
SPEAKER_03: And then you go back and forth on stats.
1:08:15
SPEAKER_03: They're very close.
1:08:16
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:08:17
SPEAKER_03: Almost by one again, either on offense efficiency or defensive efficiency.
1:08:21
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they're right.
1:08:22
SPEAKER_03: Offensive efficiency, Anderson's in lead, defensive efficiency, Wingate's in the lead.
1:08:28
SPEAKER_03: It was amazing how close.
1:08:29
SPEAKER_03: So it's going to be a great battle.
1:08:32
SPEAKER_05: If you ask me, if you ask me, Kev, whoever the automatic qualifier is, regardless of who it is, and every team that was in the semis in the sack this Wednesday deserves to be in the NCAA.
1:08:48
SPEAKER_05: They're all that good.
1:08:49
SPEAKER_05: They're all that good.
1:08:50
SPEAKER_05: Will the committee give four teams from the sack?
1:08:54
SPEAKER_03: I think there should be.
1:08:56
SPEAKER_03: I agree with you, and we're biased.
1:08:58
SPEAKER_03: We're a little bit biased, obviously, but I agree.
1:09:00
SPEAKER_03: They're all top 10.
1:09:02
SPEAKER_03: Limestone's gotta be in.
1:09:04
SPEAKER_05: Limestone's in.
1:09:05
SPEAKER_05: They're gonna get the second seed, probably.
1:09:07
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:09:07
unknown: Yeah.
1:09:08
SPEAKER_05: Tampa will have the first seed in the South.
1:09:11
SPEAKER_05: Limestone will probably have the second.
1:09:13
SPEAKER_05: And three, three on is up in the air right now.
1:09:17
SPEAKER_03: But I agree with you.
1:09:18
SPEAKER_03: I think that four should get in.
1:09:21
SPEAKER_05: Both of them should get in.
1:09:22
SPEAKER_05: Does the committee decide, hey, you know what, we're gonna give a GLVC team or maybe another Sunshine State team, you know, Sunshine State Conference team.
1:09:30
SPEAKER_05: They're gonna get award them.
1:09:31
SPEAKER_05: But if you look, like I look at that semifinal in the sack last night, there's not there's not another conference in the country with a semifinal like that.
1:09:40
SPEAKER_03: Like I said, uh, I watched more of the limestone, I probably even watched more of the Seine A's Bentley game than I did of the LR Anderson game.
1:09:50
SPEAKER_03: Like I was going back and forth, you know, I didn't couldn't concentrate on the LR Anderson game.
1:09:56
SPEAKER_03: You asked me about the limestone wing game, it was like the best game I watched this year, and I do agree that it's a classic.
1:10:03
SPEAKER_03: I will tell you, watching what I did watch from LR Anderson, that was an unbelievably great game from talent scheme.
1:10:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:10:20
SPEAKER_03: I'm telling you that that that's I mean, so yeah, man, 100%.
1:10:26
SPEAKER_03: I totally agree.
1:10:27
SPEAKER_03: So, all right.
1:10:28
SPEAKER_03: Let's go to the NE ten.
1:10:33
SPEAKER_03: The semis for the NE ten.
1:10:35
SPEAKER_03: Pace against a Delphi.
1:10:36
SPEAKER_03: A Delphi took care of business and smoked them 10-3.
1:10:41
SPEAKER_05: Smoked pace.
1:10:42
SPEAKER_05: Only three goals?
1:10:43
SPEAKER_05: Wow.
1:10:44
SPEAKER_03: Right.
1:10:45
SPEAKER_03: But what but talk about kind of a defensive battle.
1:10:48
SPEAKER_03: Well, both these games were b defensive battle.
1:10:50
SPEAKER_03: I mean, a Delphi only scoring 10.
1:10:54
SPEAKER_03: Now go to Bentley St.
1:10:55
SPEAKER_03: Ace.
1:10:57
SPEAKER_03: Saint A's pulls us out 10-9 in overtime.
1:11:03
unknown: Yeah.
1:11:03
SPEAKER_03: And I watched a lot of this.
1:11:05
SPEAKER_05: See the save?
1:11:06
SPEAKER_05: See the save from Gunnarme?
1:11:07
SPEAKER_03: No, I mean the double save?
1:11:09
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:11:10
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:11:10
SPEAKER_03: Amazing.
1:11:11
SPEAKER_03: But I will tell you, Bentley was just was like a knack.
1:11:18
SPEAKER_03: Like they did not go away.
1:11:19
SPEAKER_03: They did not go away.
1:11:20
SPEAKER_03: And they finally had the lead.
1:11:22
SPEAKER_03: And when they had the lead in the fourth quarter, I thought Bentley's gonna win this game.
1:11:25
SPEAKER_03: When they went to overtime, I thought Bentley was gonna win the game.
1:11:28
SPEAKER_03: That's how tenacious Bentley was the whole damn game.
1:11:34
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I didn't watch it.
1:11:34
SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna have to say you have you're gonna have to watch that game.
1:11:37
SPEAKER_03: St.
1:11:37
SPEAKER_03: Ansome came out, they they looked like St.
1:11:40
SPEAKER_03: Ansome.
1:11:40
SPEAKER_03: You thought they were gonna control it, but Bentley would not would not like we what were you talking about when you were talking about, you know, you gotta be, is it was it with Zach Terry or some player like you gotta know what gummy's chewing, basically.
1:11:54
SPEAKER_03: Bentley knew what every St.
1:11:58
SPEAKER_03: Ansome player was chewing, doing, whatever.
1:12:06
SPEAKER_03: There was a long period of time.
1:12:07
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it was five six at half, and Saint Ace didn't even score in the third quarter.
1:12:17
SPEAKER_05: That's what I love about Tournament La Crosse, because anything can happen.
1:12:20
SPEAKER_05: Any type of game can you know, you think the game's gonna go one way and it goes completely the other.
1:12:26
SPEAKER_05: You know, that's what's great about Tournament La Crosse.
1:12:29
SPEAKER_03: You just can't coach Dean Jekicets on the side going nuts.
1:12:32
SPEAKER_03: It was great.
1:12:33
SPEAKER_05: He posted pictures of him and his son today.
1:12:35
SPEAKER_05: His son is such a cute little kid.
1:12:37
SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, yeah.
1:12:38
SPEAKER_03: Such a cute kid.
1:12:39
SPEAKER_03: But it was uh it was great.
1:12:40
SPEAKER_03: So now, I mean, St.
1:12:43
SPEAKER_03: A's versus Adelphi.
1:12:46
SPEAKER_03: Who do you have?
1:12:50
SPEAKER_05: This is a tough one.
1:12:51
SPEAKER_05: This is a tough one.
1:12:53
SPEAKER_05: You know, St.
1:12:54
SPEAKER_05: A's with that, you know, probably not their best game against Bentley.
1:12:59
SPEAKER_03: I I would say it was Bentley.
1:13:03
SPEAKER_03: I've been saying it's Bentley.
1:13:05
SPEAKER_03: I've watched a few CNA's games just.
1:13:09
SPEAKER_03: What Bentley did and prepared and how they executed, that's why that game was the way it was.
1:13:16
SPEAKER_05: Okay, I want to watch it now.
1:13:17
SPEAKER_05: Now you have me intrigued.
1:13:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:13:20
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you can tell me if I if I'm just smoking something and not uh I don't know, man.
1:13:24
SPEAKER_05: I think I'm I think I'm gonna have to go with a Delphi last year's champs.
1:13:29
SPEAKER_05: You know what?
1:13:30
SPEAKER_05: Still a king of the castle until someone can knock them off.
1:13:33
SPEAKER_05: That's the way I look at it.
1:13:35
SPEAKER_03: I'm going with my tried and true theory.
1:13:39
SPEAKER_03: A Delphi, because it's tough to beat a team like Delphi twice.
1:13:42
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
1:13:43
SPEAKER_05: I agree.
1:13:44
SPEAKER_03: I think a Delphi may be a little bit fresher.
1:13:50
SPEAKER_05: What do you mean?
1:13:51
SPEAKER_03: They did not have a game like St.
1:13:53
SPEAKER_03: A's had to go through with Bentley.
1:13:55
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:13:55
SPEAKER_03: Now, sometimes that helps you, right?
1:13:58
SPEAKER_05: Right.
1:13:58
SPEAKER_05: Sometimes it gets hurt.
1:14:00
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's right.
1:14:02
SPEAKER_05: I think Dylan Renner and the boys are gonna be quite ready.
1:14:05
SPEAKER_05: I mean, I Delphi's got an outstanding coaching staff.
1:14:08
SPEAKER_05: I think they're gonna have them guys ready.
1:14:10
SPEAKER_05: I think they win.
1:14:12
SPEAKER_03: Alright, now we got two more GMAC semis.
1:14:18
SPEAKER_03: Seton Hill just took care of wheeling.
1:14:21
SPEAKER_03: Man, we knew it wasn't gonna be a close game.
1:14:23
SPEAKER_03: 29-4.
1:14:26
SPEAKER_03: Just crazy.
1:14:26
SPEAKER_03: The amount of goals they're scoring against GMAC teams, which once again I tell you, I worry a little bit about them of having an easy way into the NCAA.
1:14:38
SPEAKER_05: I know what you mean.
1:14:39
SPEAKER_05: Yep, yep, yep.
1:14:40
SPEAKER_05: Walsh Lake Erie.
1:14:43
SPEAKER_03: Surprised pulls this out 10-8.
1:14:45
SPEAKER_05: Surprised, man.
1:14:50
SPEAKER_05: I was rooting for my boy Galvin Conlin.
1:14:52
SPEAKER_05: He still had a good game.
1:14:53
SPEAKER_03: He had a very good game.
1:14:55
SPEAKER_03: He had a very good game.
1:14:56
SPEAKER_03: That was a close game, and I knew it was gonna be a close game.
1:14:58
SPEAKER_03: It wasn't like it was gonna be a blow one way.
1:15:00
SPEAKER_03: They're they're very close, but Walsh pulls it out.
1:15:02
SPEAKER_03: I didn't get to watch the game once again uh during the day.
1:15:06
SPEAKER_05: But I wonder, I bet you has Walsh ever been to the GMAC championship before?
1:15:13
SPEAKER_05: I wonder.
1:15:15
SPEAKER_05: I don't think so.
1:15:16
SPEAKER_03: I don't think so.
1:15:18
SPEAKER_05: I have to check that out.
1:15:19
SPEAKER_05: I don't think so.
1:15:20
SPEAKER_05: So Walsh and Seton Hill.
1:15:22
SPEAKER_05: Oof.
1:15:24
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:15:24
SPEAKER_03: Now, this is the only one I'm not saying that Walsh is gonna win this one.
1:15:28
SPEAKER_05: Seton Hill's gonna win this.
1:15:31
SPEAKER_03: There's just not a team in the GMAC yet that matches up with them.
1:15:35
SPEAKER_03: It won't be, I don't think, for a couple years.
1:15:37
SPEAKER_05: Uh well, it depends.
1:15:39
SPEAKER_05: You know, every year's a different year.
1:15:40
SPEAKER_05: You never know.
1:15:41
SPEAKER_05: You gotta just you gotta play the games, you gotta play them.
1:15:43
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
1:15:44
SPEAKER_05: You know what?
1:15:45
SPEAKER_05: Some team like a Walsh could probably maybe pick up two great recruits that really, really help them, you know.
1:15:50
SPEAKER_03: Well, look at teams like Walsh, Lake Erie, Wheeling, there's a lot of teams that are on the rise that are.
1:15:57
SPEAKER_03: I just hope next year they give a little more competition to Seton Hill.
1:16:02
SPEAKER_03: Seton Hill, we said at the beginning of the season when we did the GMAC preview, that they were stacked.
1:16:10
SPEAKER_03: And they've showed it in every game they've played.
1:16:12
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, they've been outstanding all year.
1:16:14
SPEAKER_05: They've been outstanding all year.
1:16:16
SPEAKER_03: And that's not just in the GMAC.
1:16:18
SPEAKER_03: No, they lost to Tampa in the Crown Classic.
1:16:21
SPEAKER_03: Even though they lost.
1:16:23
SPEAKER_03: You could see what they had on the field.
1:16:25
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and that was early in the season, too.
1:16:27
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:16:28
SPEAKER_05: Like week three, you know what I mean?
1:16:30
unknown: Yeah.
1:16:31
SPEAKER_05: It might have been Seton Hill's only second game.
1:16:35
SPEAKER_05: That's how early in the season it was.
1:16:37
SPEAKER_03: I think it was like their second game.
1:16:39
SPEAKER_05: Because they start later than the South.
1:16:41
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:16:42
SPEAKER_03: So they already had a f several under their belt.
1:16:44
SPEAKER_05: I thought I like Seton Hill.
1:16:46
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I agree.
1:16:47
SPEAKER_03: I agree.
1:16:47
SPEAKER_03: All right.
1:16:49
SPEAKER_03: Last one.
1:16:52
SPEAKER_03: Because we already talked about the Peach Belt Armak finals whom we're going after.
1:16:55
SPEAKER_03: Although Coach Foot was texting back and forth.
1:17:00
SPEAKER_03: We were texting about the Washington Capitals too at the same time.
1:17:03
SPEAKER_03: I did not know that that game is being played at Flagler at night.
1:17:08
SPEAKER_05: Oh, it is?
1:17:09
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:17:12
SPEAKER_05: That stinks for Mesa.
1:17:14
SPEAKER_03: I agree.
1:17:15
SPEAKER_05: I think that stinks.
1:17:17
SPEAKER_05: That should be at a neutral field somewhere in the middle.
1:17:20
SPEAKER_05: I agree.
1:17:21
SPEAKER_05: Maybe like at homewood or something like that.
1:17:23
SPEAKER_05: You know what I mean?
1:17:24
SPEAKER_03: What Coach Foote told me was if they do the same thing next year, they'll be going to an Armac field for the final.
1:17:32
SPEAKER_05: Oh hold up, Coach Foote.
1:17:34
SPEAKER_05: You gotta get this game under your under your belt before you.
1:17:40
SPEAKER_03: The final between a peach belt and RMAC.
1:17:43
SPEAKER_03: Next year, if they'll do the same thing next year, we'll be at an Armac field.
1:17:49
SPEAKER_05: See, I think it should have been Maces because they travel all the time.
1:17:52
SPEAKER_05: That's a lot of traveling for that squad.
1:17:54
SPEAKER_05: Now they got to come back again for a tournament game.
1:17:57
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
1:17:57
SPEAKER_03: I hope they're there right now.
1:17:59
SPEAKER_03: Well, I'm sure they're there.
1:18:00
SPEAKER_03: It's Thursday, so they're probably getting ready for Friday.
1:18:04
SPEAKER_03: The game's tomorrow.
1:18:06
SPEAKER_03: Alright, so let's go to GLBC semis, which happened just before, just finished up before we started recording this.
1:18:13
SPEAKER_03: Meryville played U Indie.
1:18:15
SPEAKER_03: Maryville won 13-6.
1:18:18
SPEAKER_03: And I was just watching the scores.
1:18:21
SPEAKER_03: Maryville was in the lead the whole time.
1:18:23
unknown: Yeah.
1:18:24
SPEAKER_03: And they handled it.
1:18:25
SPEAKER_03: Which I I we kind of expected.
1:18:27
SPEAKER_03: Although I UI just beat him.
1:18:31
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, last week.
1:18:32
SPEAKER_05: So yeah.
1:18:33
SPEAKER_03: So that goes back to tough to beat a team twice when they're actually.
1:18:36
SPEAKER_05: Sure is.
1:18:37
SPEAKER_05: Yep.
1:18:37
SPEAKER_05: 100%.
1:18:38
SPEAKER_03: And I won out on this one too.
1:18:39
SPEAKER_03: Lewis against Rockhurst.
1:18:41
SPEAKER_03: I picked Rockhurst.
1:18:44
SPEAKER_03: But Danny, they were up 11-7 with about two minutes to play.
1:18:51
SPEAKER_03: And Rockhurst came back and made it 11-10.
1:18:54
SPEAKER_03: That'll I was trying to get in the box score.
1:18:57
SPEAKER_03: I didn't really see like when the scoring sequence happened.
1:19:00
SPEAKER_03: All I could see is the scores.
1:19:01
SPEAKER_03: I would love to just see that just prior to us coming on.
1:19:04
SPEAKER_03: But that was a close match.
1:19:06
SPEAKER_03: That would be another one to come back.
1:19:08
SPEAKER_03: I try to actually I try to go and uh look at watch a game, but it asked for$12 for me, and I'm like, okay, back to work.
1:19:18
SPEAKER_05: Yep.
1:19:18
SPEAKER_05: I ain't paying.
1:19:20
SPEAKER_05: These coaches should give us free links.
1:19:24
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
1:19:24
SPEAKER_05: Come on, coaches.
1:19:26
SPEAKER_05: Free up them links for us.
1:19:28
SPEAKER_03: They do.
1:19:28
SPEAKER_03: They're willing.
1:19:29
SPEAKER_03: I got it from Coach Foote finally, but the problem is it's it's it's time late.
1:19:33
SPEAKER_03: I want it, I want to watch it.
1:19:35
SPEAKER_03: Not that I have to watch it live, but I need to watch it within the day or so.
1:19:38
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:19:38
SPEAKER_03: But anyway, Danny, that concludes our episode within an episode.
1:19:44
SPEAKER_05: Are we sure?
1:19:46
SPEAKER_03: Who knows?
1:19:47
SPEAKER_03: But I gotta go edit now and post.
1:19:49
SPEAKER_05: It happens.
1:19:50
SPEAKER_05: It happens.
1:19:50
SPEAKER_05: It's okay.
1:19:51
SPEAKER_05: And it's all for the C A C C.
1:19:53
SPEAKER_05: We did it all for the CACC.
1:19:55
SPEAKER_03: Let's move away from that and let's move to shout-outs.
1:20:00
SPEAKER_03: Do you have any?
1:20:01
SPEAKER_05: No shout-outs this week.
1:20:03
SPEAKER_05: Oh, you know what?
1:20:04
SPEAKER_05: One shout-out.
1:20:05
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
1:20:05
SPEAKER_05: I gotta say it was kind of cool.
1:20:06
SPEAKER_05: After the Newberry Wingate game, the Wingate parents were allowed on the field because the kids were all excited and they came came over.
1:20:13
SPEAKER_05: It was an exciting ending, right?
1:20:15
SPEAKER_05: And then as the Newberry team was walking across the field, going back to their to their uh clubhouse, the wingate parents stood there and clapped for them as they were walking off the field.
1:20:27
SPEAKER_05: And I thought that was a pretty cool thing to do.
1:20:29
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:20:30
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that is.
1:20:31
SPEAKER_03: That is.
1:20:31
SPEAKER_05: So shout out to the Wingate parents.
1:20:33
SPEAKER_05: You guys are a bunch of good guys, like you guys.
1:20:36
SPEAKER_05: But you're not a homer.
1:20:37
SPEAKER_05: No, I actually like them.
1:20:40
SPEAKER_03: I'd like them too.
1:20:41
SPEAKER_03: Even though I haven't, I'm almost I'm past that now.
1:20:44
SPEAKER_03: They don't even know who I am.
1:20:45
SPEAKER_05: They show class.
1:20:46
SPEAKER_05: They show, you know, class, you know.
1:20:48
SPEAKER_05: And that's what I like to do.
1:20:49
SPEAKER_03: It actually reminds me, uh, we gotta give a shout out to a lot of team fans that way.
1:20:56
SPEAKER_03: I remember when Wingate played Linenwood in the NCAAs at Linenwood, and Wingate beat them.
1:21:02
SPEAKER_03: I wasn't at the game, my wife was.
1:21:05
SPEAKER_03: And my wife basically said they were the most respectful parents and family members because after they lost, they congratulated us and said a great game.
1:21:20
SPEAKER_05: That's that's the way it should be.
1:21:22
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's just awesome.
1:21:23
SPEAKER_03: So that's a great shout-out.
1:21:24
SPEAKER_03: I've got a couple more like that.
1:21:26
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:21:27
SPEAKER_03: A little bit of a different bent.
1:21:28
SPEAKER_03: One shout out goes to all the teams whose season is now ended.
1:21:33
SPEAKER_03: Why do I say that?
1:21:35
SPEAKER_03: I say that from you and me, Danny.
1:21:37
SPEAKER_03: Thanks for an unbelievable show this season.
1:21:40
SPEAKER_03: Yes.
1:21:41
SPEAKER_03: We didn't get to talk about every team, but there was so many great moments across all these teams that they all deserve a shout out because they're all putting in the work.
1:21:52
SPEAKER_03: And it's a grind.
1:21:54
SPEAKER_03: And they were just, like I said, you said it.
1:21:56
SPEAKER_03: D2 is real and they proved it again.
1:21:59

1:22:03
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
1:22:04
SPEAKER_05: It's not an easy thing to do.
1:22:06
SPEAKER_05: It's easy to just be a student.
1:22:08
SPEAKER_05: Sometimes it's easy to just be an athlete and not go to class, right?
1:22:12
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
1:22:13
SPEAKER_05: But to be an athlete that's good on a winning team and go to your classes and have good grades, that's that's a special kind of person.
1:22:24
SPEAKER_05: And our league, our division two is filled with these special kids.
1:22:29

1:22:34
SPEAKER_03: Oh, 100%, yeah.
1:22:35
SPEAKER_03: And the coaches are.
1:22:36
SPEAKER_03: It's not like they're not.
1:22:38
SPEAKER_03: And so you've got to give it to them.
1:22:40
SPEAKER_03: Just like you said, it's not easy being a student athlete.
1:22:43
SPEAKER_03: Believe me, I was a student.
1:22:45
