- 0:01Speaker 1: Come on, I sure will.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Good morning everybody you are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 0:09Speaker 2: dig me down one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 0:13Speaker 2: radio show. Man o, man o, man, I just I
- 0:19Speaker 2: have to tell you this. How good is the God
- 0:25Speaker 2: I serve? How amazing is he? That's that's all I
- 0:31Speaker 2: you know. And you know what, really, man, when I
- 0:33Speaker 2: try to explain how I feel about what he does
- 0:38Speaker 2: for me, really, the words that I come up with
- 0:41Speaker 2: that they just they they inadequate. Man, They don't they
- 0:43Speaker 2: don't cut it. They really don't. You know, I could
- 0:46Speaker 2: say amazing. At one time, I even just got that.
- 0:50Speaker 2: I tried something real ignorant. One time, I just said,
- 0:52Speaker 2: you know, God is just super captual, fragilistic as be
- 0:55Speaker 2: all adocious.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I just tried that. See how that felt. That's that's
- 0:58Speaker 1: all to change? He is me.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I just try to because see how that felt. But
- 1:02Speaker 2: then I ain't feel right saying that's the fact that
- 1:05Speaker 2: he's amazing and awesome and he's an awesome god. You
- 1:08Speaker 2: hear people say that is it's bigger than that too, man.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So you know, as hard as I try, no matter
- 1:15Speaker 2: what I do every day, I'm gonna come up short.
- 1:17Speaker 2: With trying to explain to you exactly how he works
- 1:21Speaker 2: and how he is for me. So I just thank
- 1:23Speaker 2: him that every day, every chance I get here, it
- 1:27Speaker 2: is it is your determination and your effort. Listen to
- 1:34Speaker 2: me carefully. It is your determination and your effort. I
- 1:41Speaker 2: think that the average person, and I'm not knocking you,
- 1:45Speaker 2: I just want you to hear me out. I think
- 1:47Speaker 2: what stops the average person from becoming successful is that
- 1:52Speaker 2: we don't realize the effort that it takes. And that's
- 1:57Speaker 2: just truth. I found that to be so true in
- 2:00Speaker 2: my life and my talking to people and meeting people,
- 2:03Speaker 2: and people are asking me questions about it and me
- 2:06Speaker 2: trying to figure out the way myself. I don't think
- 2:11Speaker 2: that you really can comprehend the effort that it takes
- 2:16Speaker 2: to become successful. This is the thing that you have
- 2:19Speaker 2: to wrap your mind around very quickly if you want
- 2:22Speaker 2: to be successful on any level in any area. The
- 2:26Speaker 2: dream is the beginning. Good Lord, let me tell you something.
- 2:30Speaker 2: The determination and effort is massive. You cannot be overly
- 2:38Speaker 2: concerned with sleep. If you are a person who is
- 2:42Speaker 2: always concerned about sleep, gets success out your mind. Ain't
- 2:46Speaker 2: fin to have a partner is not finna happen. You
- 2:49Speaker 2: cannot be that concerned about sleep. Now listen to me.
- 2:54Speaker 2: You have to get your rest. But this was my philosophy.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I'm just you with what how I did it. My
- 3:02Speaker 2: philosophy was I stopped being concerned about sleep. I got
- 3:09Speaker 2: my rest, but I got just enough to get back
- 3:14Speaker 2: to it, and I got back on the grind to
- 3:17Speaker 2: hop in the hustle. I got just enough rest so
- 3:21Speaker 2: I could go and put forth some more effort.
- 3:25Speaker 1: But listen to me.
- 3:27Speaker 2: You cannot sleep a third of your life away and
- 3:30Speaker 2: expect to become successful. If you're not already successful. If
- 3:34Speaker 2: you are asleep for eight hours, that is a third
- 3:37Speaker 2: of your day. You cannot be asleep a third of
- 3:40Speaker 2: your life and expect to get successful. Now, after you
- 3:43Speaker 2: get successful, you know, you learn as you go to
- 3:48Speaker 2: work smarter, not harder. So as you get successful, you
- 3:53Speaker 2: may have eight hours available to you. But on the
- 3:56Speaker 2: way up there, I don't see how you can do it,
- 3:58Speaker 2: I promise you.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I don't.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Now if somebody come for it, I did it out
- 4:02Speaker 2: he probably lying. But okay, tell your story, because everybody
- 4:08Speaker 2: I know that's successful that I've sat down, I had
- 4:11Speaker 2: real talks with they wasn't concerned with sleeping. You cannot
- 4:16Speaker 2: be concerned with sleeping. If you want to be successful.
- 4:20Speaker 2: How can this.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Happen for you? Listen to me.
- 4:24Speaker 2: The effort that it requires is massive. It's an all
- 4:27Speaker 2: out of salt on your dream. Now you got to
- 4:30Speaker 2: make an assault. It requires an all out of salt
- 4:34Speaker 2: on it. And you can't be sleeping fight at the
- 4:36Speaker 2: same time. You can't fight when you sleep. Man, I
- 4:40Speaker 2: wish I could get y'all understand this right here. Understand
- 4:44Speaker 2: that the effort that is required to be successful will
- 4:47Speaker 2: take everything you have, and when you think you've given
- 4:50Speaker 2: your all, it's gonna require some more.
- 4:54Speaker 1: The quality of your chield is amazing.
- 4:58Speaker 2: See listen, what is sitting around having a bill every
- 5:02Speaker 2: day for what?
- 5:04Speaker 1: What? What? They're sitting around smoking weed for every day?
- 5:07Speaker 2: Pa?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Come on, man, for real.
- 5:11Speaker 2: But if you took that beer, drinking weeds, smoking chill
- 5:14Speaker 2: time and applied it to progressing yourself towards your dream.
- 5:19Speaker 1: When you do carve out.
- 5:21Speaker 2: A vacation, guess where you be able to go. Guess
- 5:25Speaker 2: what part of the world you can go. See guess
- 5:27Speaker 2: how you can cheer out now instead of you just
- 5:29Speaker 2: driving every year, your family to the family union, sit
- 5:32Speaker 2: at the same picnic table. Everybody pull they money in
- 5:36Speaker 2: two and ten families don't never pool they money in.
- 5:38Speaker 1: They down there eating like y'all eating.
- 5:41Speaker 2: You got attitude cause cause the day or day side
- 5:43Speaker 2: don't have a chip in or not.
- 5:45Speaker 1: They down there eating the extra potatoes at it and
- 5:47Speaker 1: making place.
- 5:48Speaker 2: You're not huguing about this every year for real, man,
- 5:51Speaker 2: they ain't got the T shirt money. You know, they
- 5:54Speaker 2: got to say a T shirt on. They ain't put
- 5:55Speaker 2: in that, really, man, so so so so.
- 5:59Speaker 1: So you want that to every year?
- 6:01Speaker 2: Or do you want this year, I'm taking my family
- 6:05Speaker 2: to New Orleans, or I'm taking my family see the
- 6:08Speaker 2: Grand Canyon. I'm taking my family down to the beach
- 6:11Speaker 2: this year, and me and my family gonna go sight see.
- 6:14Speaker 2: We're gonna go ride a couple of river on Chicago.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Me and my family gonna go skiing this year. Me
- 6:19Speaker 2: and me and my family going out to La Man
- 6:21Speaker 2: we go. We're gonna go out there for a weekend.
- 6:23Speaker 2: You know, you know it can happen like that. But
- 6:25Speaker 2: if you ain't working, listen to me. Average effort gets
- 6:34Speaker 2: average results. That's that's all it is.
- 6:37Speaker 1: To it.
- 6:38Speaker 2: See, ordinary effort gets ordinary results. But if you put
- 6:48Speaker 2: forth an extra effort, See, the only difference between extraordinary
- 6:53Speaker 2: and ordinary is one word.
- 6:54Speaker 1: That's extra.
- 6:55Speaker 2: If you do extra, you can take ordinary right on
- 6:59Speaker 2: over to extraordinary. Do you understand you have to have
- 7:03Speaker 2: a mass of assault on your dreams? Quit sitting up
- 7:06Speaker 2: in here, man, trying to chill all the time. I'm sorry, man,
- 7:09Speaker 2: I wish I could tell you another way, but it
- 7:10Speaker 2: ain't one. Here's what I did. I wasn't concerned about
- 7:15Speaker 2: how much sleep I got. I just had to get
- 7:18Speaker 2: my rest. And once I got enough rest to get
- 7:22Speaker 2: up and get the task done, I got up. Somebody
- 7:26Speaker 2: sent me a tweet the other day, a partner of mine.
- 7:32Speaker 2: He said, to see if I can pull it up
- 7:33Speaker 2: while I'm talking to you. But he just sent me
- 7:36Speaker 2: a little sign, just what, nothing, just a little something
- 7:38Speaker 2: to say, Hey man, I ran across this, I thought
- 7:41Speaker 2: about you, and I sent it to you. It said
- 7:44Speaker 2: no alarm clock needed, my passion wakes me. It's in
- 7:51Speaker 2: block print. He said, no alarm clock needed, my passion
- 7:56Speaker 2: wakes me. That's what you got to You're listening to
- 8:01Speaker 2: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
