- 0:00Leviticus chapter 8. Let us pray.
- 0:03Our Father, who's in heaven, holy is your name.
- 0:07Thank you God, for saving us to the utmost.
- 0:10Thank you God, for wrecking our theology, breaking down all of
- 0:15our own doctrine, Lord. And I pray that we'll step into
- 0:19the reality, Father, that your word is preeminent.
- 0:23God, It is alive and active. It is breathed.
- 0:27Father, it's inspired. Father, we hold in our hands the
- 0:31body of Christ. Thank you, God, for reading us
- 0:36and for helping us and for teaching us and allowing us to
- 0:39know you to be known, Lord, and to walk upright in your paths.
- 0:44Gird up our loins that we can stand in your holy presence.
- 0:47Thank you Father, but we pray for all the mothers who are
- 0:50struggling with making the decision.
- 0:52God, we pray in the mighty name of Jesus, Lord, that they will
- 0:56choose life. Father, I pray for marriages
- 0:59around the world. God strengthen the church,
- 1:02strengthened families. God, I pray against the schemes
- 1:06of the enemy. Father, I pray God, you'll bind
- 1:08the enemy God from off of the family from off of your church.
- 1:12Lord, I pray that you'll help us, Lord, to be your hands and
- 1:15feet to go out into the harvest. God, I pray that you'll help us
- 1:19to be the answer to be plan a God for this world.
- 1:23I pray, Lord, for all the government officials, for the
- 1:26military and law enforcement. God for teachers.
- 1:29Lord, I pray you'll raise up righteous leaders unto yourself,
- 1:34those who fear you. God, we need the fear of the
- 1:37Lord. God, I pray give us this all in
- 1:40reverence for your word and for your name.
- 1:43Lord, I pray that we'll keep your name.
- 1:45Holy Father, we pray for your Kingdom.
- 1:48We pray for your will, Lord, to be done here on this earth just
- 1:51as it is there in heaven. We pray God for daily bread.
- 1:55Lord, we pray for forgiveness. Help us to be a forgiving
- 1:58people. God, we pray against all of the
- 2:01demonic entities. Lord, I pray that you'll bind
- 2:04them God and cast them into the judgment that you have awaiting
- 2:07for them. Father, for yours is the Kingdom
- 2:10and the power and the glory forever.
- 2:12In Jesus name we pray, Amen. Well, let's start in verse one.
- 2:19And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, take Aaron and his sons
- 2:25with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bull,
- 2:28and the sin offering of the two Rams in a basket of unleavened
- 2:32bread. So it's high time, it's finally
- 2:34time for all of the articles to actually be put into use.
- 2:40We've done so much planning friends.
- 2:44Go back and read and see how many times and in Exodus and how
- 2:51many times that we have seen God taking Moses up on Mount Sinai
- 2:57for a full year. He's been teaching them and He's
- 3:00been showing them all of these measurements and he's been
- 3:04telling them all of his ordinances of how he can be
- 3:08approached and what Aaron and his sons were to wear and how
- 3:12they were supposed to do everything.
- 3:14And finally, here we are, chapter 8 of Leviticus.
- 3:18We're going to get to see Aaron put on his priestly garments.
- 3:22And friends, we must put on our priestly garments.
- 3:26And we didn't earn them and we actually didn't make them.
- 3:29It was all about Christ, and Christ gives them to us free of
- 3:33charge. It cost us nothing, but it cost
- 3:35him his very life. Verse 3 And gather you all the
- 3:39congregation together unto the door of the Tabernacle of the
- 3:43congregation. So the people were to come, and
- 3:45to witness this event. For and Moses did as the Lord
- 3:49commanded him, and assembly was gathered together unto the door
- 3:53of the Tabernacle of the congregation. 5 And Moses said
- 3:57unto the congregation, This is the thing which the Lord
- 4:00commanded to be done, So Moses received.
- 4:04This isn't Moses's thoughts, this isn't Moses's ordinances.
- 4:08This is the God of all the universe telling them how he is
- 4:14to be approached. Praise God.
- 4:16Hallelujah. 6 And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and he
- 4:20washed them with water. We are called to have the Word
- 4:24wash over us, friends. We are called to renew our minds
- 4:29each and every day by the washing of the Word over them.
- 4:33Friends, get yourself in the Bible.
- 4:37Read the Bible, own the Bible, know the Bible, recite it, teach
- 4:44it. Friends, that is the call.
- 4:46That is the mandate placed upon you.
- 4:48Do not be a passive listener, but actually get into the Word
- 4:54of God to read it and to understand it.
- 4:57I'm so grateful for every single person who's on this journey
- 5:01with me. 7 And he put upon him the coat, and he girded him with
- 5:06the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the epod upon
- 5:11him, and girded him with the curious girdle of the epod, and
- 5:15bound it unto him therewith. So here we go.
- 5:18We're going to get to see Aaron, who is the high priest
- 5:21consecrated. And consecration just means this
- 5:24cleansing that just happened, friends.
- 5:27It's cleansing yourself from all of the worldliness.
- 5:30I pray that you have. I pray that you've consecrated.
- 5:33He created the temple today. Verse A Did he put the
- 5:37breastplate upon him? And he put in the breastplate
- 5:40the Urim and the Thummim. So we know that this was a yes
- 5:43or no stones that he would pull out, and God somehow, someway
- 5:49would supernaturally show them the way that they are to go. 9
- 5:54And he put the mitre upon his head, and he put the mitre even
- 5:58upon his forefront. Did he put the golden plate, the
- 6:01Holy Crown, as the Lord commanded Moses.
- 6:04He was holy unto God. 10 And Moses took the anointing oil,
- 6:10and anointed the Tabernacle and all that was in it, and
- 6:13sanctified them. This sanctification is just
- 6:17becoming more and more like Jesus Christ each and every day.
- 6:20These are big words that mean simple things, friends lock in.
- 6:2511. And he sprinkled thereof upon
- 6:27the altar 7 times. And he anointed the altar and
- 6:31the vessels, both the lava and the foot, to sanctify them. 12
- 6:36And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and
- 6:43anointed him to sanctify him. This is synonymous with the Holy
- 6:47Spirit, friends, And you need to have the Holy Spirit poured upon
- 6:51you, friends, inside and out, welled up within you, friends,
- 6:54to give you the mind of Christ. 13 And Moses brought Aaron's
- 6:59sons, and he put coats upon them, and girded them with the
- 7:02girdles, and put bonnets upon them.
- 7:05And the Lord commanded Moses. 14 And he brought the bull for the
- 7:09sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the
- 7:13head of the bull for the sin offerings.
- 7:15So if you remember from the previous teachings, they were to
- 7:19lay upon this bull all of their iniquities and their sins and
- 7:23their shortcomings, and it was to symbolize that they
- 7:26acknowledge that they were sinful and they needed a Savior.
- 7:3115 And he slew it, and Moses took the blood, and he put it
- 7:38upon the horns of the altar, round and about with his finger,
- 7:44and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom
- 7:48of the altar, and sanctified it to make reconciliation upon it.
- 7:52This is Christ, this is Christ, and this is Christ.
- 7:55Friends, we see the blood of Christ covering us.
- 8:00We can have a reconciliation with God.
- 8:02We can be at one with God through the blood of Jesus
- 8:06Christ spilled out at the cross. The altar was a killing place,
- 8:10friends, and the cross was a killing place, friends, but it
- 8:14brought about life, and life abundant.
- 8:17Never forget that. 16 And he took all the fat that was upon
- 8:21the innards, and the call above the liver, and the two kidneys
- 8:26and the fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.
- 8:29So you can see all of the prescriptions that God had told
- 8:32him to do. He is doing to the last degree,
- 8:36the last letter. He is doing everything exactly
- 8:39the way that God told him to. 17 But the bull and his hide, his
- 8:46flesh and his dung, he burnt with fire outside the camp of
- 8:50the Lord commanded Moses. So this is how we can see Christ
- 8:55being sacrificed outside of the camp. 18 And he brought the ram
- 9:00for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their
- 9:04hands upon the head of the ram, and he killed it.
- 9:10And Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round and about.
- 9:1420 And he cut the ram into pieces, and Moses burnt the head
- 9:20and the pieces, and the fat. 21 And he washed the innards, the
- 9:24legs, and water, and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar.
- 9:29It was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, an offering made
- 9:35by fire unto the Lord. As the Lord commanded Moses, so
- 9:39he's doing everything the way that God prescribed it. 22 And
- 9:43he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration, and Aaron
- 9:48and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram. 23 And
- 9:52he slew it, and Moses took the blood of it, and put it upon the
- 10:01tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right
- 10:05hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.
- 10:09So Aaron the high priest was to not hear things the same way
- 10:13that he used to. He was not to do the same things
- 10:17that he used to. He was not to go in the same
- 10:19places that he used to. This was to signify that he was
- 10:23to hear for the Lord, do for the Lord, and walk for the Lord from
- 10:29this point forward. 24 And he brought Aaron's sons, And Moses
- 10:33put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon their
- 10:37thumbs of the right hands, and upon the great toes of their
- 10:40right feet. And Moses sprinkled the blood
- 10:43upon the altar round and about. 25 And he took the fat and the
- 10:48rump, and the fat that was upon the innards, and the call above
- 10:52the liver, and the two kidneys, the fat and the right shoulder.
- 10:5626 And out of the basket of unleavened bread that was before
- 11:00the Lord, he took one unleavened cake and a cake of oil bread,
- 11:05and one way for him put them on the fat and upon the right
- 11:09shoulder. So here he's burning it up unto
- 11:12God as a sweet and pleasing aroma. 27 And he put all upon
- 11:17Aaron's hands, and upon his son's hands, and waved them for
- 11:21a wave offering before the Lord. So this is the consecration of
- 11:26Aaron's hands being full. 28 And Moses took them from off their
- 11:31hands, and he burnt them on the altar for a burnt offering, and
- 11:35they were consecrations for a sweet savour.
- 11:38It is an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
- 11:42God deserves the best. He deserves our first. 29 And
- 11:45Moses took the breast, and he waved it for a wave offering
- 11:50before the Lord. For the of the ram of the
- 11:52consecration, it was Moses's part, as the Lord commanded
- 11:56Moses. 30 And Moses took of the anointing oil and of the blood
- 12:02which is upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron and his
- 12:05garments, and upon his sons and his son's garments with him.
- 12:09And he sanctified Aaron and his garments, and his sons and his
- 12:12son's garments with him. So you can see here the blood of
- 12:15Jesus. We can see here the Holy Spirit.
- 12:18We can see here that we need this double anointing upon us.
- 12:22Friends. Being covered with the blood of
- 12:25Jesus is how we are made holy in the sight of Almighty God and
- 12:29being filled with the Holy Spirit is how we know that we
- 12:33are marked and we have a down payment in a deposit for what is
- 12:37to come. We need this double
- 12:40sanctification and consecration and anointing.
- 12:43Friends 31 And Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, boiled
- 12:49the flesh at the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation,
- 12:53and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of
- 12:57consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his son shall
- 13:02eat it. 32 And that which remains of the flesh of the
- 13:05bread shall ye burn with fire. So they were to eat their fill
- 13:09in the door of the Tabernacle. For seven days they were to sit
- 13:13in the door, and for all these things to repeat, and once they
- 13:16got full, whatever was left to give it unto God. 33 And you
- 13:22shall not go out of the door of the Tabernacle of the
- 13:25congregation in seven days, until the days of your
- 13:28congregation consecration be at an end.
- 13:31For seven days shall he consecrate you. 34 And as he has
- 13:35done this day, so the Lord has commanded to do, to make an
- 13:39atonement for you. 35 Therefore shall you abide at the door of
- 13:43the Tabernacle of the congregation, day and night, 7
- 13:47days, and keep the charge of the Lord that you die not for so I
- 13:51am commanded. This was serious business,
- 13:53friends. This was a matter of life and
- 13:56death, friends, and you need to understand that if you were to
- 14:01take your last breath without being covered in the blood of
- 14:04Jesus, without having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit,
- 14:08you will be eternally separated from God forever.
- 14:11There's not 1/3 option, friends. Either the grace of God rests
- 14:19upon you or the wrath of God rests upon you.
- 14:24There's not 1/3 option, friends. One millisecond after you take
- 14:28your last breath, you will be either in the presence of God
- 14:32Almighty or you will be eternally separated for Him for
- 14:37all of eternity. There is no second chances.
- 14:41Friends, once you take your last breath, this is it.
- 14:44This is all you got. You get 120 years to make a
- 14:47decision for Christ, but if you refuse Him and you blasphemy the
- 14:51Holy Spirit by not accepting the grace, by not accepting the work
- 14:58of the cross, friends, then you have no other opportunities
- 15:04beyond the grave. 36 will end here.
- 15:15So Aaron and his sons, that all things which the Lord commanded
- 15:19by the hand of Moses. Moses was acting in the office
- 15:22of God. He was acting as God's
- 15:25mouthpiece unto Aaron and unto his sons.
- 15:28What an amazing God we serve that He cares about every little
- 15:31detail. He's in the fabric of everything
- 15:35all around you. Moving friends.
- 15:37I pray that you invite him into the secret places.
- 15:40Invite him in, friends, to every single thought, every single
- 15:45emotion and feeling, every single room, every single word,
- 15:49every single place that you go, all of your inner turmoil, every
- 15:55single thing that is going on with you.
- 15:57Invite the Lord into it today. He's already there, but you just
- 16:01need to replace all of the negativity, all of the things
- 16:06that are hindering you. Replace it with His presence and
- 16:10watch peace flood in. Get rid of the lies of the enemy
- 16:15and allow the truth of God to reign over your heart and mind.
- 16:18I pray that you've been blessed by this amazing chapter in God's
- 16:21Word. I know I sure have.
- 16:23I'm praying for every single one of you.
- 16:25I love you and we'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 16:27God bless you.
