Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, welcome to Busting with the Boys football weekend
- 0:03Speaker 1: recap or we talk NFL, we talk College. We have
- 0:06Speaker 1: coach Marcus Freeman joining this this episode this show, as always,
- 0:11Speaker 1: we are brought to you by and sponsored by the
- 0:15Speaker 1: number one sportsbook in America, proudly the FanDuel Sports Book.
- 0:19Speaker 1: There are two games and night, Texans against the Seahawks,
- 0:21Speaker 1: and we've got a nice one on here, the Buccaneers
- 0:25Speaker 1: versus the Detroit Lions. Now, one thing Fanda loves to
- 0:28Speaker 1: do is give you options. You can decide your own fate,
- 0:30Speaker 1: you can pick your own adventure, you can choose your
- 0:33Speaker 1: own reward. Fandel is giving all customers a choice of
- 0:36Speaker 1: either one thirty percent same game Parlay profit boost token
- 0:39Speaker 1: or two twenty five percent live profit boost tokens. So
- 0:44Speaker 1: maybe you'll take the thirty percent pe PBT and ride
- 0:47Speaker 1: with us, because we've got a solid same game parlay
- 0:50Speaker 1: for you guys to tail every Monday night that gives
- 0:52Speaker 1: anytime touchdown Rashan White anytime touchdown, Baker Mayfield over two
- 0:57Speaker 1: hundred twenty five passing yards and Jared Golf over two
- 0:59Speaker 1: hundred and twenty five pass and yards. Or maybe you'll
- 1:02Speaker 1: take the two live profit boost tokens and cook up
- 1:05Speaker 1: a next drive, same game parlay. I am obsessed with
- 1:08Speaker 1: these boys betting live game, betting next drives. Who somebody
- 1:12Speaker 1: might catch a ball? Catch your pass? You get a
- 1:13Speaker 1: running back for five or ten plus yards? Is it
- 1:16Speaker 1: going to be a field goal, punt or a touchdown?
- 1:18Speaker 1: If you think you'll know what happened on the next drive,
- 1:21Speaker 1: wait it, It'll end in a touchdown, punt, field goal.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Open the app, stack some player of props and build
- 1:25Speaker 1: your bet exactly how you want. Just had tofanduel dot
- 1:28Speaker 1: com slash busting to download the app and get started.
- 1:33Speaker 1: A heavy on the Lions, heavy on the line, heavy
- 1:41Speaker 1: on Lions, and I you know my uh, I'm sorry
- 1:48Speaker 1: about the falcons.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah that hey, and you know what happened exactly what
- 1:53Speaker 2: we talked about with the penetrating defense.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I didn't get to watch it. I can't wait to
- 1:58Speaker 1: watch it.
- 1:59Speaker 2: The guy that will, well, I'll have to watch the
- 2:01Speaker 2: entire film. But the game itself defensive line pressure because
- 2:06Speaker 2: when you're going side to size and offensive linement and
- 2:07Speaker 2: there's a four to three like, you have to be
- 2:09Speaker 2: super tight with your your landmarks. When you're running off
- 2:12Speaker 2: the ball. It didn't look like they ran as much
- 2:15Speaker 2: like Wanda and these outside zone eleven. They weren't eleven
- 2:18Speaker 2: a lot, but it seemed like they were more or
- 2:19Speaker 2: less like split zone type thing. And then that linebacker
- 2:22Speaker 2: that took over for Fred Warner too, did his best
- 2:26Speaker 2: Fred Warner impression. Was literally out there like the Grim Reaper, stalking, stalking, stalking,
- 2:31Speaker 2: firing in there.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Which that fires me up, dude. I even saw him
- 2:35Speaker 1: in a postgame pressure saying he did hear all the noise,
- 2:37Speaker 1: he felt a certain way about it. He showed up.
- 2:40Speaker 3: I mean, thea that for the Falcons that you were
- 2:42Speaker 3: hype on last week played pretty well.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Again, Lli, he's a good player.
- 2:47Speaker 4: He had a pick, had a sack.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, he's a good Player's a good player.
- 2:51Speaker 2: They It just goes like Kyle Shanahan needs to be
- 2:54Speaker 2: coach of the Year, and I don't think it's it's
- 2:56Speaker 2: really close at this point, Like there's nobody in the
- 2:59Speaker 2: league doing more the less. He's got injuries all over
- 3:02Speaker 2: the place. He's he's missing both of his defensive stars
- 3:05Speaker 2: and leaders. He's missing essentially everybody on his offensive side
- 3:09Speaker 2: of the ball. Other than CMC. They just got back
- 3:10Speaker 2: George Kittle, but like starting quarterbacks out, he just pay
- 3:14Speaker 2: two hundred seventy million dollars. You're missing multiple wide receivers.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Juwan Jennings played, but it's like it doesn't matter who
- 3:21Speaker 2: is there. Kyle Shanahan and his offense that he is running,
- 3:23Speaker 2: they can literally be anybody in the NFL.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Currently only third, Yeah, so.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Who's who's above him?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Todd Bowles? I mean if they win to night like
- 3:32Speaker 1: what they've been doing with look at a coach Rabels.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Second at plus three fifty, Shane Steichen the Colts plus one.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Another great one. I just think, like when I look
- 3:45Speaker 2: at Todd Bowles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, my brain
- 3:48Speaker 2: doesn't go to coaching very well. Could or could? It
- 3:53Speaker 2: goes to Baker Mayfield as having an incredible year and
- 3:56Speaker 2: he is literally putting this team on his shoulders to
- 3:58Speaker 2: elevate his team. When I look at the forty nine ers,
- 4:01Speaker 2: I guess it's when your quarterback goes out and it's like,
- 4:04Speaker 2: who are you going to be? Shanahan has adapted his
- 4:07Speaker 2: offense in a way that I don't see really any
- 4:09Speaker 2: other coach doing. Rabel I like as well. But it's like, yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 2: Drake May's got a lot of confidence and he's playing
- 4:16Speaker 2: with like a lesser talented team than the rest of
- 4:18Speaker 2: the league. But I still give Kyle Shanahan like the
- 4:21Speaker 2: nod at this point.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I don't think you're wrong in saying that, just because
- 4:24Speaker 1: he even said it in his presser after the game.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But you have to win a certain way if you're
- 4:30Speaker 1: the Niners, and it's got to be a collective with
- 4:32Speaker 1: special teams, defense, offense, the game plan, if you're going
- 4:34Speaker 1: to control the ball or whatever, whatever the keys are,
- 4:38Speaker 1: you need all three phases to be in sync. And
- 4:41Speaker 1: so it is. It's like it's a typical captain because
- 4:43Speaker 1: he's been like he's been, Uh he's been He's has
- 4:47Speaker 1: been as creative as anybody on winning games a certain way,
- 4:51Speaker 1: especially when they are absolutely counted out. Yeah, versus the
- 4:54Speaker 1: teams that they're playing, the Rams Falcons, Like, uh yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 1: he's been balling.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And it's also a lot of credit needs to given
- 5:01Speaker 2: to CMC as well, Christian McCaffrey. Last year he had
- 5:03Speaker 2: both of those calves going on there. People a lot
- 5:06Speaker 2: of people like just logic would sit there and go, Okay,
- 5:08Speaker 2: This is probably the beginning of the end of the
- 5:10Speaker 2: Christian McCaffrey. We used to see him before, but since
- 5:13Speaker 2: these injuries have taken place, the one thing that has
- 5:15Speaker 2: stayed kind of true is Christian McCaffrey in the backfield
- 5:18Speaker 2: and he has taken on a heavy load. Like in
- 5:21Speaker 2: the backfield catching the ball screens.
- 5:23Speaker 1: He was the best player on the field. Yes, say
- 5:25Speaker 1: people talking about Jon Robins. I want to say it
- 5:26Speaker 1: was set on ESPN, but the uh, this is this
- 5:29Speaker 1: is the Saquon Barkley of this year. Yeah, like this
- 5:31Speaker 1: is somebody who's MVP caliber everything else. It's like CMC
- 5:36Speaker 1: was the best player on the field right.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Today, the best player on the field by far. I mean,
- 5:39Speaker 2: you can't take what Bijeon still had himself. You see
- 5:42Speaker 2: what Bijeon is to that offense. But that offense is
- 5:45Speaker 2: at full capacity. They have their starting offensive line, they
- 5:48Speaker 2: have their wide receivers and everything, and Bijeon just happens
- 5:51Speaker 2: to be so good. It's like, regardless of all these
- 5:52Speaker 2: weapons we have, whether it's Pitts or London or whoever,
- 5:55Speaker 2: we got this guy that we can put in motion
- 5:57Speaker 2: and you know, keep him off the ball for five
- 6:00Speaker 2: yards and just throw it over to him on the
- 6:01Speaker 2: sideline and have two guys block kind of and have
- 6:04Speaker 2: a make three guys miss and get seven yards.
- 6:06Speaker 3: They were talking about that during the broadcast of the
- 6:08Speaker 3: game last night that in the off season Beijon hit
- 6:11Speaker 3: up CMC just to pick his brain. They worked out together,
- 6:14Speaker 3: but really to focus on that route running as a receiver,
- 6:17Speaker 3: and so it was cool to see them compare the
- 6:20Speaker 3: two and then CMC still kind of like edge him
- 6:22Speaker 3: out a little bit of like I got this, yeah, yeah.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah, mister Miyagi still has some juice in the tank
- 6:28Speaker 2: there a little bit when it came to be Jean Robinson.
- 6:30Speaker 6: Christian McCaffrey is number six in the NFL in receiving
- 6:33Speaker 6: yards and number eleven in rushing yards.
- 6:35Speaker 1: That is, he's having.
- 6:37Speaker 2: He's having a vintage Christian McCaffery year right now. No
- 6:40Speaker 2: one's really talking about No one's really talking about the
- 6:42Speaker 2: four Nights with a five and one, right, five and two? Yeah,
- 6:45Speaker 2: excuse me, they're five. They're five and two. I mean
- 6:48Speaker 2: they lost the first game of the year against Seattle.
- 6:50Speaker 2: It's when all the injuries really took place. That game.
- 6:52Speaker 2: You lose like five or six guys. But Shanahan and
- 6:55Speaker 2: I go back to that Thursday night football game against
- 6:57Speaker 2: the Rams where you have like offensive genius versus all
- 7:00Speaker 2: it's a genius. And that to me is when I
- 7:01Speaker 2: was like, this is this needs to be coach of
- 7:03Speaker 2: the Year. And I really started like kind of fumigating
- 7:06Speaker 2: my brain a little bit because it's what they're doing
- 7:08Speaker 2: over there in San Francisco is special.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Kyle Shannan's daughter escorting him off the field. We
- 7:13Speaker 1: have one from Zobo Fox show Tier Talk this being
- 7:16Speaker 1: a girl dad makes someone a better coach, Absolutely.
- 7:18Speaker 2: No question about it. Person the pudding right now.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Yeah, arguably the best coaches are all girl dads.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Arguable arguable having girls push you into coaching.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Dude, I can't honestly, it's culture good. Yeah, I'm beside
- 7:40Speaker 1: myself on thinking people that might be calling them overrated.
- 7:43Speaker 1: You're seeing in the media a lot last week we
- 7:44Speaker 1: would do that watched and you know they haven't watched them.
- 7:50Speaker 2: You know what. I hate. I hate that for you.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yes, we're not gonna throw nobody, We're not.
- 7:56Speaker 2: We're not gonna do anything o that, but just know,
- 7:59Speaker 2: and I want the public to know that I hated
- 8:01Speaker 2: for you. I hated for you, and it might not
- 8:03Speaker 2: be the context of what you're thinking of right now,
- 8:05Speaker 2: because it is true, dude. The Colts, Daniel Jones, Jonathan Taylor,
- 8:09Speaker 2: that offensive line. You even see Quentin Nelson having himself
- 8:12Speaker 2: a little juice in la s. Jenny's coming off the field,
- 8:14Speaker 2: He's doing the little spin, getting the crowd hyped up
- 8:17Speaker 2: for all the Colts fans that are actually there. But buddy,
- 8:19Speaker 2: they don't miss right now. Their play action incredible under center, amazing.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Jonathan Taylor can find a hole even when there's not
- 8:26Speaker 2: a hole. Good news is there's always a hole because
- 8:28Speaker 2: that offensive line is playing an elite level. And then
- 8:31Speaker 2: that defensive line, who have been kind of quiet for
- 8:34Speaker 2: the whole year, they get themselves in the mix. They
- 8:37Speaker 2: start putting pressures on Justin Herbert. Yeah, there's been a
- 8:39Speaker 2: lot of guys that have been injured both tackles or
- 8:41Speaker 2: I think they're on their like eighteenth and nineteen tackle
- 8:43Speaker 2: at this point. But the Colts took advantage of a situation.
- 8:47Speaker 2: They saw where the injuries were, and they took advantage
- 8:50Speaker 2: of that, and they put pressures on those book ends.
- 8:51Speaker 2: And it really paid off for them, really paid off
- 8:54Speaker 2: for them. My LA Chargers pick is not looking good
- 8:57Speaker 2: right now. I like to go on record saying if
- 8:59Speaker 2: there were no injuries a lot, if we turn that off,
- 9:01Speaker 2: I think it'll be looking pretty good right now.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Herberts Herbert is number one in passing yards in the NFL.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Which is insane. He's number one to pass.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Yeah, threw a bad pick in the end zone yesterday. Yeah,
- 9:13Speaker 1: that two minute drill right before half.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Yeah, he threw a bad pick in the end zone.
- 9:17Speaker 2: But he is under I think i'd like to see
- 9:20Speaker 2: what his pressure rate is, how how many times he's
- 9:22Speaker 2: pressure because I don't think there's I know there's not
- 9:24Speaker 2: another Corvett that's taken more hits than him this year.
- 9:27Speaker 2: And he's still fighting off defensive liignment like a man
- 9:30Speaker 2: and ripping it over there every single time he can.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very impressive. We have a tier talk here
- 9:35Speaker 1: from EVA Unit Underscore on on x hashtag tier talk.
- 9:40Speaker 1: You know where this is going to go. You said
- 9:42Speaker 1: the Colts were overrated at five and one. Are the
- 9:45Speaker 1: Colts still overrated at six and one?
- 9:48Speaker 7: Uh?
- 9:48Speaker 1: Eva, they are not overrated. I was wrong, and I
- 9:53Speaker 1: am sincerely so sorry. I am I'm glad you said that.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Like I'm glad you said that. We're not going to
- 10:01Speaker 1: sit here and say that they're they're you know, I
- 10:02Speaker 1: was forced to do it, not gonna say it, not
- 10:04Speaker 1: gonna say anything, not gonna say anything. But I was wrong.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I am sorry. I will do my best to make
- 10:11Speaker 1: this right on national television this Thursday. I'll get up
- 10:14Speaker 1: in the morning.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I think the question now becomes are the Colts contenders?
- 10:18Speaker 2: Like this is a team we can look at and
- 10:20Speaker 2: be like, this is a team that can actually win
- 10:23Speaker 2: a Super Bowl this year.
- 10:25Speaker 4: That offense is insane, dude.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Their offense is, yes, we can definitely take that. Their
- 10:30Speaker 2: offense is absolutely incredible. Their defense, like they don't get
- 10:34Speaker 2: a whole lot of pressure there, but they're very much bend,
- 10:37Speaker 2: don't break, and they put. They do a great job
- 10:40Speaker 2: of scheming up the other offenses. They're very sticky in
- 10:43Speaker 2: the back end of coverages. Their linebackers are flying around
- 10:45Speaker 2: right now, and even though if I'm a defensive line standpoint,
- 10:48Speaker 2: they're not getting a lot of pressure. They're holding the
- 10:52Speaker 2: gaps to where when there's really no run lanes between
- 10:55Speaker 2: the two tackles, Like they are playing very very good football.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I don't I don't know very much about the special
- 11:01Speaker 2: teams and all that, but they're a team that you
- 11:03Speaker 2: look special teams.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Let me tell you a mirror of Doula, A mirror
- 11:08Speaker 1: of Doulah in what year? Ten eleven? Yeah? Bro, And
- 11:12Speaker 1: he's got himself. I think he's got the first game
- 11:15Speaker 1: I saw that, I'm like, oh shit, a mirror on
- 11:16Speaker 1: the Colts. Now he's scoring a touchdown like in the
- 11:20Speaker 1: third or fourth quarter. But also he had a massive
- 11:22Speaker 1: kick return yesterday to where I'm just smile on my
- 11:25Speaker 1: face again. This motherfucker ageless, still doing it, Still chip
- 11:29Speaker 1: on his shoulder, doesn't matter what role he's in. Nothing,
- 11:32Speaker 1: the dude balls man. So yeah, there there's a there's
- 11:35Speaker 1: another thing for this. So the special teams are nice.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Special teams are nice.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I like that. I mean, they seem like they're going
- 11:43Speaker 2: to be the team to win the South right now.
- 11:44Speaker 1: They are. They are playing really well. And Tyler Warren
- 11:46Speaker 1: I saw a clip of him going around blocking to
- 11:49Speaker 1: some porn.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Something about football porn man. Tight ends that can do
- 11:52Speaker 2: it all for you. Tight Ends still one of the
- 11:55Speaker 2: more underrated positions in all of the NFL.
- 11:57Speaker 8: That's got some white boys that can like Alex Per
- 12:00Speaker 8: number fourteen. Yeah, for whatever reason, he's just good for
- 12:03Speaker 8: a thirty yard bomb every every week.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Yeah, every week with old Danny Dimes or there. He's
- 12:09Speaker 1: starting to get the nickname Danny Discount.
- 12:12Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure it's just Indiana Jones.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Indiana Jones. Yeah, Indiana Jones. I'll tell you what he
- 12:19Speaker 2: want to be, Indiana pay payday, because that dude is
- 12:21Speaker 2: gonna get broke the fuck off after this season.
- 12:24Speaker 6: He broke off.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I think he signed a Hondo for the Giants.
- 12:27Speaker 1: He got a big one with the Giants.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, No, he got one with the Giants, and
- 12:30Speaker 2: then yeah he's you know what else, got broke off
- 12:35Speaker 2: twice for tuber teams. Ryan Tannehill O Tannehill. Yeah, he
- 12:41Speaker 2: took his team to THEFC championship.
- 12:42Speaker 1: He is he did. We have a tier tier talk here,
- 12:46Speaker 1: switch up the teams the conversation. You heard it here. First,
- 12:49Speaker 1: John Gruden will be the Titans next head coach. Hash
- 12:53Speaker 1: tag tier talk from hector hectoring seventy.
- 12:55Speaker 2: One hectoring seventy one boys, Titan fans in the back,
- 12:58Speaker 2: how do we feel about that? John Gruden, is that.
- 12:59Speaker 7: Your I don't think it will happen and be obviously
- 13:03Speaker 7: fun electric for Nashville. I feel like someone on this
- 13:05Speaker 7: bus said it, but they was you talking about how
- 13:09Speaker 7: like he would not integrate well with most players, like
- 13:12Speaker 7: he would lock and with. Someone was saying, how like
- 13:15Speaker 7: you think he's gonna be like a great fit for it,
- 13:17Speaker 7: but the XES and o's he's like kind of an asshole,
- 13:20Speaker 7: Like if you don't get his scheme and play like
- 13:22Speaker 7: he kind of you gotta be all in or all out.
- 13:25Speaker 7: I don't know how much truth there is in that.
- 13:27Speaker 7: I would love to see Gruden Nashville give us a
- 13:29Speaker 7: nice little bump, but the odds of it happening I
- 13:33Speaker 7: don't think are very likely.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but do you have a list yet?
- 13:35Speaker 7: Jack, I've said on Twitter, I mean, Joe Brady would
- 13:38Speaker 7: be a fun one, but at the same time, it
- 13:40Speaker 7: scares me to bring in a OC that has zero
- 13:43Speaker 7: experience as a head coach the same way we just
- 13:45Speaker 7: did with Callahan, So I don't think that would be
- 13:47Speaker 7: the move. There's obviously the McCarthy's and Kingsbury's of the
- 13:50Speaker 7: world kind of floating around there, so I don't know
- 13:53Speaker 7: I mean, you guys just talked with Marcus Freeman. Y'all
- 13:55Speaker 7: were kind of like sprinkling that in there.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I don't know, I've just hearing that Marcus Freeman is
- 13:59Speaker 1: now getting in NFL job conversations.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and then who said that before we
- 14:04Speaker 2: got on the bus that the Titan he was mentioned
- 14:05Speaker 2: with the.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Titans just somebody JP said it.
- 14:09Speaker 2: JP just out there.
- 14:10Speaker 1: No, he's seeing comers literally saw it on Twitter.
- 14:17Speaker 2: The thing that Joe Brady think kind of makes me
- 14:19Speaker 2: nervous if that is the path of the Titans want
- 14:21Speaker 2: to go down, because I think they want to get
- 14:22Speaker 2: an offensive minded head coach is probably the smartest thing
- 14:24Speaker 2: to do with the first overall pick. But Joe Brady
- 14:27Speaker 2: friend in the future, friend of the show.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Great guy, already the show, already friend of the show,
- 14:32Speaker 1: the Gear, bought the gear at the Gear.
- 14:33Speaker 2: He's about it. He is the OC for the reigning MVP,
- 14:38Speaker 2: and he's got a guy in Josh Allen that's like
- 14:40Speaker 2: pretty incredible. Josh Allen can do things that I don't
- 14:42Speaker 2: know if it's yet to be seen whether or not
- 14:44Speaker 2: Cam Wort can do those things. Yeah, that makes me.
- 14:47Speaker 2: That makes me a little more nervous about that.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I think that's certainly something that could go against him
- 14:53Speaker 1: is that he's been operating with Josh Allen. But he
- 14:56Speaker 1: still has one of the best rushing offenses in the
- 14:58Speaker 1: NFL with James Cook and the way that they make
- 15:00Speaker 1: it up. But you're right, it's but again, I still
- 15:03Speaker 1: think cam Ward is a bona fide QB in the internet.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean he dude, we can get into the
- 15:08Speaker 2: Patriots Titans. No sense we're already on the subject. That
- 15:11Speaker 2: first half was extremely competitive, extreme awesome. First quarter was like.
- 15:15Speaker 1: The quarter we was up baby the first quarter. How
- 15:19Speaker 1: was it when Ray came into the stadium.
- 15:23Speaker 7: Uh, there wasn't like a whole like welcome back Mike
- 15:26Speaker 7: Vrabel And I was there pretty early. I usually go
- 15:28Speaker 7: to like one of my friend's family's tailgate and post
- 15:31Speaker 7: Tennessee Vama loss. I truly didn't want to be around anyone.
- 15:35Speaker 7: So I got in the stadium I think with like
- 15:36Speaker 7: thirty eight minutes left on the running clock, and I'm
- 15:39Speaker 7: just sitting in my seat, just kind of watching the
- 15:40Speaker 7: guys warm up doing that whole dance. But there wasn't
- 15:44Speaker 7: like a whole like boo verybel or like big cheers.
- 15:48Speaker 7: The big thing was I've been in many games at
- 15:52Speaker 7: Nissan Stadium over the course of my life and seeing
- 15:54Speaker 7: many away teams take over. I truly don't think that
- 15:57Speaker 7: there was a bigger takeover than there was yesterday with
- 16:00Speaker 7: Patriots fans. Whether it's because like the Patriots had such
- 16:03Speaker 7: a massive run, you know, and the Brady and Belichick era,
- 16:07Speaker 7: because they just have fans in every market, or if
- 16:11Speaker 7: it's because people want to support Rabel you know what
- 16:15Speaker 7: I mean.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Do you feel like they're fans out there that might
- 16:18Speaker 1: have just put on the Patriot gear for the day.
- 16:20Speaker 7: I think there were fans that like claim to be
- 16:22Speaker 7: a Patriots fan, but like last year, they weren't speaking
- 16:25Speaker 7: up for the Patriots, you know what I mean, Like
- 16:28Speaker 7: now that they're five and two and find a fly,
- 16:32Speaker 7: I mean, and I forget, like those fucking massholes, they're
- 16:37Speaker 7: fuck they're pricks. So many people were so mean to me.
- 16:41Speaker 7: I was literally in the bathroom peeing waiting for you
- 16:45Speaker 7: open up, and a guy looks back and goes, so like,
- 16:47Speaker 7: how bad is it being a Titans fan? And it's
- 16:49Speaker 7: some like fucking twenty two year old kid in a
- 16:52Speaker 7: Patriots Jersey. I was like, well, you're here, and I'm
- 16:54Speaker 7: like in my head, I'm like, just don't do this,
- 16:56Speaker 7: like just piss and get out. And he's pissing like
- 16:59Speaker 7: two away from me, and I'm done. But I see
- 17:02Speaker 7: him go and I'm like, I'm gonna just hold my
- 17:04Speaker 7: dick for a second. Let him scatter out. I kind
- 17:07Speaker 7: of do one of those glances over he's waiting, he's
- 17:10Speaker 7: not washing his hands, he's waiting, and I'm like, oh,
- 17:12Speaker 7: he wants to say some other stuff. So the Titans
- 17:14Speaker 7: like howevery NFL one is there's two interests. There's an
- 17:17Speaker 7: entrance and exit. I go out the entrance to try
- 17:20Speaker 7: and avoid him. He hawks me down and uh silver lining.
- 17:25Speaker 7: He's like, hey, man, you work for busting, don't you.
- 17:28Speaker 2: He was like, dude, I appreciate what y'all do so much.
- 17:31Speaker 2: He's like, my Tuesday mornings.
- 17:32Speaker 7: My whole routine revolves around your show, and like it
- 17:35Speaker 7: was a full one eighty and he's like, hey, sorry
- 17:37Speaker 7: for like bringing up like the fan base. He's like,
- 17:39Speaker 7: I've lived in Nashville for three years now. And I
- 17:41Speaker 7: was like, I was like all good, bro, Like we
- 17:43Speaker 7: had like a good combo and it was nice. So
- 17:46Speaker 7: other than him, pretty much.
- 17:47Speaker 1: He saw the reaction he got. He's like, oh, man,
- 17:50Speaker 1: I mean.
- 17:55Speaker 7: Like going into half, we immediately get a fumble and
- 17:58Speaker 7: they score and then they get another score.
- 18:01Speaker 2: And so I'm just sitting there.
- 18:02Speaker 7: I'm like, hey, man, like kick a do while he's down.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Sure he might be thinking he might get some banter
- 18:08Speaker 1: from me, like hey, how mad is it being a
- 18:09Speaker 1: Titans fan? You're like oh, But then he realized like, oh,
- 18:11Speaker 1: they're they're crumbled.
- 18:15Speaker 7: To get pissed off. Like I wasn't drinking and stuff,
- 18:17Speaker 7: so I was there to be like a sober just.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Like Stern, like fuck off, dude.
- 18:21Speaker 7: Yeah, but he ended up being a really nice somebody
- 18:25Speaker 7: to go him, shout out Brendan. He ended up being
- 18:28Speaker 7: a cool guy. But yeah, it's a tough day Nashville
- 18:31Speaker 7: always is. It was just a tough weekend as a Tennessee.
- 18:33Speaker 2: It was.
- 18:36Speaker 7: I was happy that last night I ended up I
- 18:38Speaker 7: kind of I was watching the Sunday night game and
- 18:41Speaker 7: I ended up just like carving pumpkins, which was a
- 18:43Speaker 7: nice kind of just reset. I need to just get
- 18:47Speaker 7: away from sports, just like get grounded and and then
- 18:50Speaker 7: watch Yeah, just.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Try and remember the Flowers for a second.
- 18:55Speaker 7: So I don't know who's going to be the next coach.
- 18:57Speaker 7: If it's younger and you would hear zero complaints from me,
- 19:00Speaker 7: it would be electric. I just don't know if John
- 19:02Speaker 7: Gruden's going to come back through the NFL again.
- 19:04Speaker 2: A guy that I love for it.
- 19:06Speaker 7: Arthur Smith, Yeah, I think also, you know, you see
- 19:09Speaker 7: what he did when he's OC, goes to be Atlanta's
- 19:12Speaker 7: and then he goes to Pittsburgh and now he's OC
- 19:14Speaker 7: and it's like, does he.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Make That's why I like it, because I like him
- 19:19Speaker 2: becoming going back to a coaching. Very rarely do you see,
- 19:22Speaker 2: not very rarely, but a lot of times you see
- 19:24Speaker 2: a guy being a coordinator, he goes becomes a head coach.
- 19:26Speaker 2: It doesn't work, but they learn a bunch of lessons
- 19:29Speaker 2: through that process. They go back to being OC established
- 19:32Speaker 2: and show that they are still very good at their job,
- 19:34Speaker 2: become a head coach again, and then they can put
- 19:36Speaker 2: the correct pieces around them to help them where they
- 19:38Speaker 2: failed before. And I think Arthur, knowing the franchise, understanding
- 19:43Speaker 2: it's a very unique franchise. Right the medium market, it's
- 19:46Speaker 2: pretty bad. You're not having like, you're not going to
- 19:48Speaker 2: have all of the resources in the world. But he's
- 19:50Speaker 2: lived that, he's been through it, and he's worked through
- 19:52Speaker 2: from like essentially a GA position all the way to
- 19:54Speaker 2: coordinator then leaving. So I think you need a guy
- 19:57Speaker 2: to understand the type of franchise you're walking into. And
- 20:00Speaker 2: that's why I think Arthur's a great fit for it,
- 20:03Speaker 2: because he has the Atlanta experience and be like, hey,
- 20:06Speaker 2: this is where I went wrong and this is where
- 20:08Speaker 2: I can get better. And when he was in Atlanta,
- 20:10Speaker 2: he really didn't have a quarterback. Now he has a
- 20:13Speaker 2: place to have a quarterback. If you look at the
- 20:16Speaker 2: Steelers game, Steelers just the Bengals obviously didn't go to
- 20:18Speaker 2: Steelers way. We talked about the way the Atlanta Falcons
- 20:21Speaker 2: run eleven personnel wide zone. There's not a team in
- 20:23Speaker 2: the league that's running twelve thirteen personnel wide zone better
- 20:28Speaker 2: than the other Pittsburgh Steelers. They are running. The plays
- 20:30Speaker 2: we would run would be nineteen, which would be your
- 20:33Speaker 2: twelve personnel, your quattros, your zaps, your zorros. All of
- 20:36Speaker 2: those are kind of the same play with a little
- 20:39Speaker 2: extra something on it. Every a little extra motion or
- 20:42Speaker 2: something He does an amazing job of calling those plays
- 20:45Speaker 2: and knowing the rotation and when to getting out of
- 20:48Speaker 2: those plays. I'm very impressed with his play calling right now,
- 20:51Speaker 2: very impressed with what's going on and utilizing the pieces
- 20:54Speaker 2: he has at the Steelers.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Right now, you need this convo to be like a
- 20:58Speaker 1: slow burd You don't want him to be Pea right now.
- 21:00Speaker 2: You want the Steelers. You want the Steelers to right
- 21:04Speaker 2: the ship.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Right the ship, take over this division because it's still
- 21:07Speaker 1: their division. To lose tough loss against the Bengals. Defense, man,
- 21:13Speaker 1: it's nuts. We actually here, here's a tier talk right
- 21:15Speaker 1: here from jag JP e J zero eight. Tier talk
- 21:19Speaker 1: is a Steelers defense actually asked. It's like, I don't
- 21:23Speaker 1: want to say that because they have a lot of dudes,
- 21:26Speaker 1: for sure, a lot of names, a lot of dudes
- 21:28Speaker 1: like you got high Smith, you got what you got, Hayward,
- 21:31Speaker 1: you got Cole Holkum, Patrick Queen, Jalen Rams, you got
- 21:34Speaker 1: all these guys. It's the highest paid defense in the league.
- 21:37Speaker 1: But as it stands right now, it's like, bro, they
- 21:42Speaker 1: need more of that defense right now. They are asked
- 21:44Speaker 1: like they're gonna they're gonna have to compliment that offense well,
- 21:46Speaker 1: because the offense can move the ball. Aaron Rodgers out
- 21:49Speaker 1: there slinging that, like the rock run game is very well.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That massive ass tight end.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Yeah Washington, Darnell Washington. Hey, he's tipping the toledos at
- 21:58Speaker 2: three twenty right now. I heard really three and twenty pounds.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Dude, that monster.
- 22:06Speaker 2: And also they run extra tackles, so they have six
- 22:09Speaker 2: offensive linemen in the game with him.
- 22:11Speaker 1: They need more of that defense.
- 22:13Speaker 2: They need more.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Can't drop that game against the bigles. Hats off to
- 22:16Speaker 1: Joe Flacco.
- 22:17Speaker 2: And it's a safe when you when you watch the
- 22:19Speaker 2: Seahawks game had a few weeks ago, and we were
- 22:22Speaker 2: kind of going over when they're in man coverage and
- 22:24Speaker 2: the other two safeties and one safety supposed to knock
- 22:26Speaker 2: off one and kind of stay with the receiver, and
- 22:29Speaker 2: there was a guy in the back of the end
- 22:30Speaker 2: zone that ended up catching a touchdown. These same problems
- 22:33Speaker 2: are happening again. It's not guys being bad at football,
- 22:37Speaker 2: it's just blatant miscommunications that are taking place in this defense.
- 22:41Speaker 2: So where it's like, yeah, you have talent. All the
- 22:43Speaker 2: names you just said are good football players, but there's
- 22:47Speaker 2: something going on, especially in the back end of that
- 22:49Speaker 2: defense where they are just not on the same page
- 22:52Speaker 2: because there are guys wide open. The fact that you
- 22:55Speaker 2: have Jamar Chase said, was it a league record or
- 22:58Speaker 2: his personal record targeted and receptions in a game. But
- 23:02Speaker 2: you get through the second quarter of that game, you
- 23:03Speaker 2: go and make it at the very minimum halftime and go, hey,
- 23:08Speaker 2: let's just take away this guy. And he was running
- 23:11Speaker 2: free on multiple occasions times where you're just like, bro,
- 23:15Speaker 2: how the fuck is he still open? You see in
- 23:16Speaker 2: the TV copy, but you also see it when you
- 23:18Speaker 2: break down the film. It's like this dude. Guys think
- 23:21Speaker 2: other dudes are coming in to take over, and they're
- 23:23Speaker 2: bailing in a certain other areas of the defense, and
- 23:26Speaker 2: either this guy's bailing too soon or this guy's not
- 23:29Speaker 2: coming over. But this guy, he has five six yards
- 23:33Speaker 2: of space in between when he's catching the football, and
- 23:35Speaker 2: it's just like that is one of the best players
- 23:38Speaker 2: in the NFL, and you have a forty two year
- 23:40Speaker 2: old quarterback who is throwing the ball probably as good
- 23:45Speaker 2: as he ever has, like twenty sixteen.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I have much fun that really both of them are
- 23:52Speaker 1: having at that age. It's like the WD forty was
- 23:54Speaker 1: out Thursday night football. They're just slinging the rock dead
- 23:56Speaker 1: over what they have over six under six hundred, just
- 24:01Speaker 1: under six hundred. I would disagree. I would disagree that
- 24:04Speaker 1: they're both having fun. I mean, how many times it
- 24:06Speaker 1: could go over to Aaron Rodgers just chewing somebody's ass out,
- 24:10Speaker 1: But when a play is mate or hey, and then no, boy,
- 24:14Speaker 1: the tackle that jumped on him after the touchdown, Oh
- 24:16Speaker 1: my god.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah, he injured him right, and people were like, yo,
- 24:21Speaker 2: he knows that. He's like I am one. I'm a
- 24:23Speaker 2: gust of win Away wind Away.
- 24:25Speaker 1: As being too much. It's like, no, bro, you have
- 24:27Speaker 1: to get up and be like, dog, I'm fucking old,
- 24:30Speaker 1: Like what are you fucking doing?
- 24:31Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, it's like going up to an old dog
- 24:37Speaker 2: and be like, hey, hey, it's like that dog's gonna
- 24:39Speaker 2: yelp eventually, like you need to leave the dog alone.
- 24:41Speaker 1: It's if in real time, Taylor, if Taylor did this
- 24:44Speaker 1: to me now, I would be just like I'd be
- 24:47Speaker 1: just so mad, like, bro, you know my fucking it's
- 24:48Speaker 1: happened too.
- 24:49Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure that's happened in the last three weeks.
- 24:52Speaker 2: But no, no, doubt like, and this cat seventy seven was,
- 24:55Speaker 2: by the way, he played a great football game against
- 24:57Speaker 2: the Bengals, even though the Bengals the past or sucks.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I would would one hundred percent be this guy to
- 25:02Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers and get showed out. I get so juiced
- 25:04Speaker 2: up after a play. I'm like a dog wagon his stail.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Hey, we do it.
- 25:07Speaker 2: He's like, get the fuck off, man, what are you doing?
- 25:11Speaker 2: Just knock some over.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers is a cat. Don't fucking pet him.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Don't pet him like when he wants food, He'll fucking
- 25:17Speaker 2: be between your legs for a second. Other than that,
- 25:20Speaker 2: I'll leave him alone. He hits his Mario, he's excited.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Look at this bro oh and he finishes the tackle too,
- 25:26Speaker 2: which is just crazy, just crazy. But then you got
- 25:30Speaker 2: Joe Flacco on the other side, who knows. He's just
- 25:33Speaker 2: on borrowed time. Like Aaron Rodgers smarter than everybody else,
- 25:37Speaker 2: Professor mit To. Somebody said that in the stream last week.
- 25:41Speaker 2: He's a guy that's like, he knows he could probably
- 25:43Speaker 2: still win a Super Bowl. But Joe Flacco is like
- 25:46Speaker 2: borrow time, don't care, I'm gonna sling it. He's got
- 25:49Speaker 2: these weapons on the perimeter. Now he's like, fuck it,
- 25:52Speaker 2: let's see what happens out here.
- 25:53Speaker 1: And Joe knows he can still be nasty and elite,
- 25:56Speaker 1: not like I'm here with the massive chip on my shoulder.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I love it all of his perspective to where he's
- 26:00Speaker 1: like all his families, they're like they understand the moment
- 26:03Speaker 1: he's still in. But Joe Flacco can. If the defense
- 26:07Speaker 1: for the Steelers they do not get halfway better, like decent,
- 26:13Speaker 1: that North is gonna get interesting because Joe can get
- 26:16Speaker 1: the ball out fast as timing is really good. They
- 26:18Speaker 1: have weapons on the outside. Ravens are still sitting there
- 26:21Speaker 1: with the Ravens one in five.
- 26:23Speaker 2: They're still like Jackson, it is.
- 26:26Speaker 1: The Steelers division to lose. But if they if the
- 26:29Speaker 1: Ravens just start to get spicy, Browns are done. Browns
- 26:32Speaker 1: ain't making it, I know, but they they're dude, I'm
- 26:35Speaker 1: telling you, it's gonna it's gonna, it's gonna be interesting
- 26:39Speaker 1: between those three teams with the Bengals, the Ravens, and
- 26:43Speaker 1: the Steelers.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Yeah, the Miami Dolphins, dude, they I mean, they're all
- 26:46Speaker 2: pulling up to the game with handicap stickers on their
- 26:48Speaker 2: roof of your mirror, like that team is done. They
- 26:51Speaker 2: did win, Yeah, yeah, they won. Their defense got like
- 26:55Speaker 2: twenty points in Fantasy. It was crazy, Adam, I don't.
- 26:59Speaker 6: Know the best Joe on the Bengals.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Oh is your quarterback controversy taking place.
- 27:05Speaker 4: In Cincinnati right?
- 27:05Speaker 6: One of them can get the ball out, the other
- 27:07Speaker 6: one maybe holds onto it a little bit too long.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Maybe a spot for Spencer Rattler.
- 27:14Speaker 6: I say to say, forget about Rattler's three interception game.
- 27:17Speaker 6: He could fit in great.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Dude. How are we feeling about everybody but Clump? How
- 27:23Speaker 2: are we feeling about the Philadelphia Eagles right now?
- 27:27Speaker 1: I have to watch the game. I didn't watch the game.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I'm sitting there kind of like pissed off following it
- 27:32Speaker 1: on the ESPN app because that was another game that
- 27:34Speaker 1: I loved, Vikings beating the Eagles, and now I'm coming
- 27:38Speaker 1: out of yeah, oh well, I had like, I'm thinking,
- 27:40Speaker 1: this is great, this is a game I love Vikings
- 27:42Speaker 1: beating the Eagles, and then to come out of it,
- 27:44Speaker 1: see AJ Brown's getting touchdowns, Jalen Hurt, It's like a
- 27:47Speaker 1: perfect passeray the most bizarre like headspin zone that I'm in,
- 27:52Speaker 1: Like I have to watch the tape before I have
- 27:55Speaker 1: an opinion, but it just seems like they handled business.
- 27:57Speaker 1: It seems like the Eagles handle business. The conversations that
- 28:01Speaker 1: took place a couple of weeks ago, they didn't come
- 28:02Speaker 1: to fruition until this past weekend against the Vikings. Maybe
- 28:07Speaker 1: the Eagles are back. I don't know.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Jalen was on fire.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Jalen was on fire.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Jalen still and against Saquon didn't really have three point
- 28:15Speaker 1: one yards football liability for.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Me right now, I'm pissed, pissed.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Shout out Saquon though, because somebody was saying this in
- 28:23Speaker 2: the pre pro meeting. Clump was saying this whereon Sakon
- 28:27Speaker 2: Barkley about him having an off day and is like
- 28:28Speaker 2: our quarterback just had a perfect passwordy Like why are
- 28:30Speaker 2: you even talking to me about this? Like we want
- 28:33Speaker 2: like that's a guy right there.
- 28:35Speaker 1: But it seems like they won in such a way
- 28:36Speaker 1: offensively to where every conversation that was boiling and starting
- 28:40Speaker 1: to crack the service and everything else, like the fall
- 28:42Speaker 1: was gonna happen. It seems like they played and wanted
- 28:45Speaker 1: a certain way to where they just shut everybody up.
- 28:47Speaker 2: So here's here's here's my takeaways. Yeah, here's my takeaway
- 28:50Speaker 2: from that game. I think Jalen Hurts played a very
- 28:53Speaker 2: good game. There's still throws that he had, kind of
- 28:56Speaker 2: what Orlofsky was talking about. He has throws right in
- 28:58Speaker 2: front of him, but he's waiting so long to pull
- 29:00Speaker 2: a trigger because of the risk aversion. But a lot
- 29:03Speaker 2: of these plays that he was able to get Aj
- 29:05Speaker 2: Brown on his touchdown, it was has a couple of reads,
- 29:08Speaker 2: breaks out of the pocket, extends the play a little bit,
- 29:11Speaker 2: and then sees aj and puts it in the perfect spot.
- 29:14Speaker 2: DeVante Smith multiple plays in the middle of the field,
- 29:17Speaker 2: wide open, nobody else around him. So yeah, Jalen Hurts
- 29:20Speaker 2: played a great game. My favorite series of that game
- 29:23Speaker 2: was the four minute drill that took place to ice
- 29:25Speaker 2: the game. Because Carson Wentz, he one was pressing. You
- 29:29Speaker 2: could see that he was trying to beat the Eagles.
- 29:31Speaker 2: It was a very personal game and it's obviously he
- 29:34Speaker 2: had his role with the Eagles. He ends up getting
- 29:36Speaker 2: you know, Nick Foles takes over, he goes somewhere else.
- 29:38Speaker 2: But people forget that Carson Wentz was on the Chiefs
- 29:41Speaker 2: last year when the Chiefs lost Super Bowl to the Eagles.
- 29:43Speaker 2: So this is more personal and personal. He's pressing the
- 29:45Speaker 2: ball down the field. But the four minute drill they go,
- 29:48Speaker 2: they run the ball a couple times, they have very
- 29:50Speaker 2: little success to where you're thinking, oh shit, the Vikings
- 29:52Speaker 2: are going to be able to come back, and maybe
- 29:54Speaker 2: Carson Wentz has the see.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Like in highlights they were talking about I think I
- 30:00Speaker 1: caught a moment of that game they're talking about just
- 30:01Speaker 1: missed ops at the Vikings.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Missed up well. They had a pick six, they had
- 30:05Speaker 2: uh he throw two picks.
- 30:07Speaker 4: In the game, but also the field goal. They couldn't
- 30:10Speaker 4: score in the red.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Zone, right, they couldn't score in the red zone. Defensive
- 30:14Speaker 2: the cornerback standpoint, they stood up pretty well. But that
- 30:17Speaker 2: four minute drill, they run the ball once it doesn't
- 30:20Speaker 2: go their way. I think they get one maybe two yards.
- 30:23Speaker 2: The next play they won the Classic as Classic gets
- 30:26Speaker 2: a j Brown slant, Jalen Hurts throws it behind him
- 30:30Speaker 2: to where it's like what a horrible misthrow and now
- 30:34Speaker 2: stops the clock and you're.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Like, I did I saw that?
- 30:37Speaker 2: So you're sitting there like, yeah, this is when you're thinking,
- 30:39Speaker 2: oh my god, the Vikings are about to take over
- 30:41Speaker 2: and Carson Wentz is gonna will his team into a
- 30:43Speaker 2: w right here. Then the next play a J Brown
- 30:48Speaker 2: slant go and the corner bites on the slant, which
- 30:51Speaker 2: all of us would but it was an incredible play
- 30:54Speaker 2: call goes aj gets it and that's the end of
- 30:56Speaker 2: the game. Yeah, that last part it was right there. Man,
- 31:02Speaker 2: You're like, I still have question marks. But the Eagles though,
- 31:05Speaker 2: like the offensive line is still not they're not blocking
- 31:08Speaker 2: very well. They What I did notice it is they
- 31:10Speaker 2: played the game for more under center, so they're like
- 31:12Speaker 2: kind of hearing the noise and adapting to the noise
- 31:14Speaker 2: a little bit. And hearing Drew Brees talk about being
- 31:17Speaker 2: under center and how that must changes everything like really
- 31:19Speaker 2: makes me think, Okay, this needs to be an under
- 31:21Speaker 2: center team more often than not. So it's it'll be interesting.
- 31:26Speaker 2: That whole division is kind of wild too, because you
- 31:28Speaker 2: look at the Cowboys commanders. Everyone thought that game was
- 31:30Speaker 2: going to be really close.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Bro, Cowboys, I can't wait to watch that one.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Dude.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Their defense dff way more man, way more disguise. Like
- 31:39Speaker 2: it was like, I'm thinking of myself, like.
- 31:42Speaker 1: You think abrafl is watching Willy Boy.
- 31:44Speaker 2: I think Abraflus is watching WILLI Boy on Thursdays and
- 31:46Speaker 2: he's like, oh, this is this team like because I
- 31:48Speaker 2: mean they put up forty four points broy forty four
- 31:51Speaker 2: points in offense and the question mark that we had
- 31:54Speaker 2: about George Pickens is seeking to be okay with CD
- 31:57Speaker 2: Like bloody, it was amazing and it was Pickins was
- 32:01Speaker 2: making catches. That's like, oh, I see why people say
- 32:03Speaker 2: he's the most talented wide receiver in the world, Like
- 32:05Speaker 2: little to no separation catching the ball. Dak Prescott's putting
- 32:09Speaker 2: it right in the bucket at times. Yes, bro, yeah, bro,
- 32:13Speaker 2: he was more like this, and it was I.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Saw I saw a post on X two and I'm
- 32:18Speaker 1: honestly I'm kind of about it. Do whatever you can,
- 32:21Speaker 1: fuck the Picks. Figure out a way to get Max
- 32:23Speaker 1: Crosby or Tranerckson, not Hendrickson, Miles Jerry Simmons apparently.
- 32:31Speaker 2: So I saw a tweet the other I did.
- 32:33Speaker 1: I saw that, and like, you know, it's obviously he's
- 32:35Speaker 1: on X and somebody like trying to play a game
- 32:37Speaker 1: whatever else. But I am thinking like, yeah, bro, go
- 32:40Speaker 1: get somebody on that defensive line and go all in
- 32:45Speaker 1: to win the Super Bowl this year because they have
- 32:48Speaker 1: the offense to do it.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, what are they? Three three and one?
- 32:51Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 32:52Speaker 2: Three three and one right now? And I'm not I'm
- 32:55Speaker 2: not buying the Eagles. I love the Giants, moxie and energy.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Giants got something happening, they got they got something happening
- 33:02Speaker 2: right now. I don't think they're gonna be contenders this year,
- 33:04Speaker 2: but I do what they think. What I think happened
- 33:06Speaker 2: is Dable has saved his.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Job because you you, no matter how the year goes,
- 33:10Speaker 1: I think you, Dable's got to stay there.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Bro, Yeah, He's got to stay there because you can't
- 33:13Speaker 2: run into a situation. You're like with the Titans, where
- 33:14Speaker 2: you go and draft quarterback, you have an offensive guy,
- 33:16Speaker 2: it doesn't work out. Now, who're gonna get?
- 33:18Speaker 9: Now?
- 33:18Speaker 2: Was he the guy? Was he not the guy? At
- 33:19Speaker 2: that whole thing? That song and dance? Dable they don't
- 33:23Speaker 2: have eleague neighbors and Bro, they're still against that Denver
- 33:26Speaker 2: Broncos defense moving the ball, not only getting chunk plays,
- 33:30Speaker 2: but like sustaining drives. Take like it was very very
- 33:34Speaker 2: impressive watching it. Jackson's got it He's got it, Bro,
- 33:38Speaker 2: Jackson's got it. He's gonna continue to get better. Even
- 33:40Speaker 2: Sean Payton after the game, he's talking about how he
- 33:42Speaker 2: was talking to maybe the GM of the Giants, and
- 33:45Speaker 2: you know, he's like, I was hoping you guys are
- 33:46Speaker 2: gonna hold on to him pass way past our game
- 33:49Speaker 2: and stuff, but just getting the tip of the cap
- 33:51Speaker 2: from somebody like Sean Payton as well, like Jackson, Darkies
- 33:54Speaker 2: Russell Wilson taking a crazy stray right there.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I did see one. I did see one tier talk earlier.
- 34:02Speaker 1: I think Clump's name was in it.
- 34:06Speaker 6: Jack the best quarterback right now here?
- 34:09Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I think so. I mean there's the
- 34:13Speaker 1: argument's definitely there because because what.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Is your what is your brain? Who was a Matt
- 34:18Speaker 2: Stafford goes to Jake and Mayfield. It was the Patrick Mahomes,
- 34:21Speaker 2: Drake May. I think Drake May's in the Cup. Not
- 34:23Speaker 2: like best in the league, but Drake is starting to ascend.
- 34:26Speaker 2: It passes over thirty yards, passes over thirty yards. Drake
- 34:29Speaker 2: may is throwing at seventy five right now. Sammy d
- 34:33Speaker 2: Sammy d Well, it's this is this is a great
- 34:36Speaker 2: year for quarterbacks. Yeah, Danny dimes.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Here, here's the tier talk. This is from underscore. Jack McPherson.
- 34:42Speaker 1: This is from Jack not a burner. Thank you for
- 34:45Speaker 1: tapping into the tier talk. Jack is Clump the biggest
- 34:48Speaker 1: fraud at the office. Hashtag tear talk and the only
- 34:50Speaker 1: answer is yes. And so to give a little context,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you'll have your time.
- 34:56Speaker 7: Clumb before the season was like, dude, him and his
- 35:00Speaker 7: relocated here from PA. He was like, we're gonna be
- 35:03Speaker 7: Tennessee fans, Like we're joining. And then all year long
- 35:06Speaker 7: he's been teetering and he's here and he's there. And
- 35:09Speaker 7: then two weeks ago he said on our live stream
- 35:11Speaker 7: that he was going to do a verbal commitment to
- 35:14Speaker 7: his fandom for the rest.
- 35:16Speaker 6: Of his life.
- 35:17Speaker 1: And he's college football, college football.
- 35:19Speaker 7: He's wearing a Tennessee hat when he made this statement
- 35:22Speaker 7: last week. He comes into the stream last week again,
- 35:26Speaker 7: doesn't stand on the word. You see me wearing this
- 35:28Speaker 7: Alabama jersey. I honor my commitments at my bets. Clumb
- 35:32Speaker 7: says he's gonna make a commitment there, doesn't do it
- 35:34Speaker 7: at halftime. He sends a pre or written notes app
- 35:40Speaker 7: after Tennessee lose Obama, saying that he will be joining
- 35:43Speaker 7: the Florida Gators in there living in Tennessee. He's going
- 35:48Speaker 7: to choose one of our biggest rivals. And I just
- 35:52Speaker 7: don't know this point if it's just a bit, if
- 35:54Speaker 7: it's all for the fun and stuff. But me and
- 35:57Speaker 7: Clump are co fantasy managers, and I told him before this,
- 36:01Speaker 7: I go, just know my heart is no longer with
- 36:04Speaker 7: this team for the rest of the year. Oh, I
- 36:07Speaker 7: don't check.
- 36:09Speaker 2: It's a fire sale.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Throw us some trades whenever.
- 36:12Speaker 3: You want, I'll consider it.
- 36:14Speaker 1: But also going into that, so you know, last week,
- 36:17Speaker 1: whenever we were having that little dust up at the
- 36:19Speaker 1: shop on what real fandom is, Yeatt Malone be in
- 36:21Speaker 1: the casual all these conversations are taking place, is arguing
- 36:25Speaker 1: going on, and I was aware of Clump saying he
- 36:28Speaker 1: was going to commit this weekend to his college football team.
- 36:32Speaker 1: And at the time he's kind of asking my thoughts, Hey,
- 36:34Speaker 1: how would you like I kind of want to be
- 36:36Speaker 1: a Vanderbilt commodorees like my kids, like we're all here,
- 36:41Speaker 1: they're gonna grow up, We're gonna be in Nashville. Like
- 36:43Speaker 1: I think it'd be fun. Would you respect me as
- 36:45Speaker 1: like a Vanderbilt I was like, Bro, I think you'd
- 36:47Speaker 1: be in the caterpillar stage, but it wouldn't be like, oh,
- 36:50Speaker 1: you're a diehard bandy fan. It's gonna take a couple
- 36:52Speaker 1: of years everything else. But if you know the roster
- 36:54Speaker 1: inside out, and that's how you want to do it
- 36:55Speaker 1: with your fam. Now that you're here in Nashville and
- 36:57Speaker 1: your kids are going to grow up bandy fans and
- 37:00Speaker 1: all that, I'm thinking, yeah, Bro, you can for sure.
- 37:03Speaker 7: I would have respected him taking Vandy one hundred times
- 37:07Speaker 7: more than him taking Florida, because it makes sense.
- 37:09Speaker 1: The Florida one came out of nowhere, even when the
- 37:13Speaker 1: argument started happening, kind of out.
- 37:16Speaker 7: And he's like, oh, it's going to be a new era,
- 37:18Speaker 7: and it's the first time the Balls played Florida on
- 37:21Speaker 7: the back end of the season, so he knows that
- 37:23Speaker 7: they clump. Claims that he didn't know Tennessee and Florida arrivals,
- 37:27Speaker 7: but I guarantee he knows that we play them in
- 37:29Speaker 7: three weeks.
- 37:31Speaker 1: That I would I would buy that, cause again that
- 37:33Speaker 1: the Florida thing came out of when he when we
- 37:35Speaker 1: were talking last week, I was like, Oh, he's wanting
- 37:38Speaker 1: to know if it's cool. If he becomes a Vandy fan,
- 37:40Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, absolutely, Like no one's going to say like,
- 37:42Speaker 1: you're diehard right out of the gate, but if you're
- 37:44Speaker 1: here and you best go to a couple of.
- 37:46Speaker 7: Games in proximity is the closest school, they're doing well,
- 37:49Speaker 7: Like you'd get a little flak from being like, oh,
- 37:52Speaker 7: they're finally good or you know whatever.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Yeah, people are going to say bandwagon, but it's like,
- 37:56Speaker 1: as long as you're staying a Vanderbilt guy and your
- 37:59Speaker 1: kids are here and you're like wanting to take in
- 38:00Speaker 1: the games, I'm like, oh yeah, I'd respect that. Like,
- 38:03Speaker 1: you're not gonna be in those You're not gonna be
- 38:05Speaker 1: in the diehards yet, but it's gonna take a couple
- 38:07Speaker 1: of years. But absolutely, I think that's a good move.
- 38:09Speaker 6: He's never taken his kid to a Florida game.
- 38:12Speaker 1: The Florida post in our group chat was wild to
- 38:15Speaker 1: me cause I'm like, bro, why didn't you commit to
- 38:18Speaker 1: Vanderbilt like you said you were going to because they
- 38:19Speaker 1: just had a massive win against LSU, Like it would
- 38:22Speaker 1: have been perfect for it.
- 38:23Speaker 7: And then earlier in the shop he tried to like
- 38:26Speaker 7: double back and he's like, well, dude, it was just
- 38:27Speaker 7: a verbal commitment, and I go, you literally wrote a
- 38:30Speaker 7: presser on your commitment. Quite literally the opposite.
- 38:34Speaker 1: You know, he's a high school football recruiting siccoh.
- 38:36Speaker 7: Yeah, and he I'm on camera and so you can
- 38:42Speaker 7: that decision.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it is so funny. After all that, I went
- 38:46Speaker 2: on my phone and texted Jack a bunch of text
- 38:48Speaker 2: about trades. Came back to it. You guys were still
- 38:51Speaker 2: shitting on him, and he just goes respect my decision.
- 38:54Speaker 2: A company of.
- 38:57Speaker 5: All I have to say is uh focused on who
- 38:59Speaker 5: the next coach of our football team is going to
- 39:01Speaker 5: be moving forward. Billy Napier, thank you for everything you've
- 39:04Speaker 5: done for Florida, but we are focused on we are
- 39:07Speaker 5: focused on the next head coach at the university. So
- 39:09Speaker 5: you're you're officially a Florida Gator. H. Who do I
- 39:13Speaker 5: want as the next head coach of the Florida Gators?
- 39:15Speaker 1: Time out? Are you officially a Florida Gator?
- 39:19Speaker 5: I would like to officially commit to the University of Florida.
- 39:23Speaker 5: I will be a Florida Gators fan from here on out.
- 39:25Speaker 5: I will live and die for the Florida Gators.
- 39:27Speaker 2: This reminds me of that kid. I don't know if
- 39:29Speaker 2: you like committed to Georgia and as white as mom
- 39:31Speaker 2: was all about Alabama. Yeah, she like gets up a
- 39:34Speaker 2: walks away. This has got that energy written all over it.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Cum Obviously they played Tennessee in a few weeks. But
- 39:41Speaker 1: is this like a it's on fire by low get
- 39:45Speaker 1: in while the chaos is happening. What's the thought process
- 39:48Speaker 1: behind this?
- 39:49Speaker 2: Yes?
- 39:49Speaker 1: Yes, no, I am kind of like I don't understand
- 39:52Speaker 1: why not Vanda?
- 39:53Speaker 5: My college football fandom, obviously we all know has been
- 39:56Speaker 5: kind of a weird thing. But when I was no
- 39:58Speaker 5: longer a Penn State fan, did actually like like Florida
- 40:01Speaker 5: Gators with Tim Tebow and stuff.
- 40:03Speaker 2: So there's like some everybody like Jack.
- 40:07Speaker 1: I'm answering the question, answering the question you got something
- 40:11Speaker 1: right here locally?
- 40:14Speaker 2: If you are clump, why buy Vandy stock high because
- 40:19Speaker 2: after this year you lose Diego Pavia. Maybe people talking
- 40:22Speaker 2: about clerk Lee he might be the man for a
- 40:23Speaker 2: lot of these big jobs coming up right now. Florida
- 40:27Speaker 2: might be a good op and might be a good
- 40:29Speaker 2: op for you to go find a talented football team
- 40:32Speaker 2: that's in the dumb store right now, and so then
- 40:34Speaker 2: spin Zone in a couple of years, you say they'll
- 40:36Speaker 2: be like I've been on the Florida Gators since they
- 40:38Speaker 2: fired Billy Napier, and there is a long move. Can
- 40:43Speaker 2: see it working for him right now.
- 40:44Speaker 5: The fact that me t notes on on an iPhone
- 40:48Speaker 5: has led to this as a major win already as
- 40:50Speaker 5: a Florida Gators fan, I'm already want to know.
- 40:53Speaker 2: You're after the game.
- 40:59Speaker 1: My thought on I'm saying, this is the game. Kids
- 41:02Speaker 1: are here, like you can clearly go to games throughout
- 41:05Speaker 1: the year and have like fun.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Club doesn't care about his kids. Club cares about everybody
- 41:11Speaker 2: in the office quietly hating him. That's what Club cares about.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Having something that dangle over there about.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Five years when his son is just asking that why
- 41:20Speaker 1: are we Florida Gator fans? And he's just breaking down
- 41:22Speaker 1: this entire process so funny.
- 41:24Speaker 2: You know what's fucked up. You know what's fucked up
- 41:26Speaker 2: is that Tennessee Florida game is gonna be a nail biter.
- 41:29Speaker 7: It is, and we historically in the Swamp we struggle,
- 41:33Speaker 7: and so I'm not gonna get down that. I just
- 41:36Speaker 7: want Clump to know in fifteen years when JJ goes
- 41:39Speaker 7: to college and Clump has to pay ninety thousand dollars
- 41:42Speaker 7: to Florida, I'm gonna be sitting there smoking a cigar,
- 41:45Speaker 7: drinking a cup of coffee, going, I fucking told you so.
- 41:49Speaker 2: That would be funny, that would be ironic, That would
- 41:53Speaker 2: be But at that point, you're fifteen years in three
- 41:57Speaker 2: naw yeah, two three natties deep. Who knows JJ has well?
- 42:00Speaker 7: I mean.
- 42:02Speaker 1: He has a ball, sure, I mean.
- 42:05Speaker 7: Tennessee fan whenever he wants.
- 42:07Speaker 2: I hate that his dad literally, So you would be
- 42:11Speaker 2: less mad if he's like, I'm gonna take pick Vanderbilt.
- 42:14Speaker 7: Yeah, because by proximity it makes sense. It's I can't
- 42:17Speaker 7: be upset that, like the team that plays ten minutes
- 42:20Speaker 7: from where we're recording right now, he wants to be
- 42:23Speaker 7: a fan of they're doing well. We have guys who
- 42:26Speaker 7: worked at the shop who are active players, friends of
- 42:29Speaker 7: the show.
- 42:29Speaker 2: It all makes sense.
- 42:31Speaker 7: It feels very personal, it feels very clump rage baby,
- 42:34Speaker 7: and I'm falling for it every which way. And that's okay.
- 42:38Speaker 1: But that's because I.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Have true fandom with the Valls.
- 42:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't have this Tiki Taki. I was a
- 42:44Speaker 7: Penn State fan. Once they sucked, I'm gonna be Tennessee.
- 42:47Speaker 7: I love.
- 42:50Speaker 2: State sucked for the record, I think there was other
- 42:52Speaker 2: things that happened. Clump did like Joe Paul because that's
- 43:01Speaker 2: loved him.
- 43:02Speaker 1: That's when you started to fall off the Penn State bandwagon.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Right when all this the ship was coming out.
- 43:07Speaker 6: There's some weird people.
- 43:08Speaker 3: It's like a cult at Penn State.
- 43:09Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't want to get down this
- 43:10Speaker 1: rabbit hole, right, but that sounds like that for people
- 43:13Speaker 1: that are listening, that are coming on to this. Uh,
- 43:15Speaker 1: you know, what's all this ship going on with Clump
- 43:17Speaker 1: and Jack and everything else? Like you're fanom with Penn
- 43:20Speaker 1: State didn't happen because of what's happening this year when
- 43:23Speaker 1: the Penn.
- 43:23Speaker 5: State sanctions and stuff started coming on, I've became a
- 43:26Speaker 5: Penn State hater the opposite.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Okay, hey, can we just let's move on. We had
- 43:30Speaker 2: another tier talk here. We're gonna we'll just do a
- 43:32Speaker 2: different subject, dude. When it comes from this one comes
- 43:35Speaker 2: from Jeremy Clump at Nutty X professor will Tennessee missed
- 43:39Speaker 2: the college football playoff now hashtag tear talk, who said
- 43:42Speaker 2: that Jeremy Clump at Nutty US profession, I will well
- 43:47Speaker 2: Tennessee missed the college playoff.
- 43:49Speaker 5: Now I will go on record and say, yes, the
- 43:55Speaker 5: Tennessee Balls will miss the collegetball playoff because they will.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Lose to the Florida Gators this year.
- 44:00Speaker 1: I have to say, Jack again, massive opportunity. Anytime JJ's
- 44:05Speaker 1: coming to the shop, this is vulnerable, This vulnerable kid
- 44:07Speaker 1: right now, you can groom him to be a Tennessee fan.
- 44:10Speaker 5: I want I'm not gonna I'm not going to make
- 44:13Speaker 5: JJ a Florida Gators fan. If you want to be
- 44:15Speaker 5: a Tennessee fan, I think that's awesome because we live here.
- 44:17Speaker 5: Or fan for what it's worth.
- 44:19Speaker 7: The whole reason he did this stick is so that
- 44:22Speaker 7: your kids could be fans.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Listen, if you were a call, if you're a football fan,
- 44:28Speaker 2: one of the main reasons to have children is to
- 44:31Speaker 2: instill the same brainwash into them. So if you're going
- 44:34Speaker 2: to be a Florida Gator fan, you need to take
- 44:37Speaker 2: them to Gainesville, go pet some alligators and show them
- 44:41Speaker 2: what it's like to be a Florida fan. Get on Yelp,
- 44:44Speaker 2: get on Reddit, figure out all the things to do
- 44:46Speaker 2: there and get JJ's asked to be a Florida Gator fan.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Telling you this is I think it's I think it
- 44:54Speaker 1: would be awesome if JJ was a Tennessee fan, Like
- 44:56Speaker 1: JJ is going to be prime one data where he's
- 44:58Speaker 1: going to be in his dad's face talking about how
- 45:01Speaker 1: shitty Florida is. Tennessee wins.
- 45:06Speaker 2: As a dad who's recently brainwashed his youngest child, like
- 45:09Speaker 2: it's a great feeling when your kids start to come
- 45:11Speaker 2: to the come to your side. My oldest now, she
- 45:14Speaker 2: was almost rooting for Washington because there's the Huskies. She's all.
- 45:17Speaker 2: She's infatuated with those damn mascots. Yeah, we do, Yeah,
- 45:22Speaker 2: put it down. Uh, let's so, let's see.
- 45:27Speaker 7: We've got Kentucky this week. We're set on Kentucky, that's
- 45:31Speaker 7: what matters. Then we have Oklahoma, then we have Florida,
- 45:33Speaker 7: then we have New Mexico State, and then we in
- 45:35Speaker 7: with Vandy. Obviously Vandy, Vandy's.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Got he's not New Mexico. That's a good ball club.
- 45:39Speaker 7: Yeah, Vandy's got some games coming up as well. Oklahoma
- 45:43Speaker 7: at home is big for us. I think we can
- 45:46Speaker 7: handle that. Florida obviously is scary, but also Florida is
- 45:51Speaker 7: not great this year, and now they have this horrible
- 45:54Speaker 7: juju surrounding their team that is Jeremy Clump. So honestly,
- 45:57Speaker 7: I've never felt better in my life. So yeah, ten
- 46:00Speaker 7: and two, we go to the playoffs, we watch Florida
- 46:02Speaker 7: cry at home, and JJ can come hang with me.
- 46:06Speaker 2: This is this is the greatest thing about long form
- 46:10Speaker 2: media is we got to sit here and watch you
- 46:12Speaker 2: think through that entire thought and get to your conclusion.
- 46:16Speaker 2: If this was like Sports Center, you'd have to say,
- 46:18Speaker 2: I feel very good about Florida. Yeah, we gotta go
- 46:21Speaker 2: a break. That was nice.
- 46:22Speaker 8: Speaking of the Balls, I think we have one more
- 46:24Speaker 8: tier talk up on the screen.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Oh, Matt Malone.
- 46:27Speaker 2: This is not a tier talk. This is hashtag full
- 46:30Speaker 2: sen wrong show. Matt Ball's lost, but I'm still hitting
- 46:34Speaker 2: the bar. That's called dedication.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Well, we're not gonna waste any time on Matt Malone.
- 46:38Speaker 7: And hey, I'm gonna I'm gonna stick up for my boy.
- 46:41Speaker 7: This is some AI generated shrm bullshit. I know what
- 46:44Speaker 7: Matt Malone did, and I'm gonna stick up because Matt
- 46:47Speaker 7: actually brought some juice to the stream and he's creepy.
- 46:52Speaker 2: No it's not real. So I got to stick up for.
- 46:55Speaker 7: My boy Matt Malone. He did not go out after
- 46:57Speaker 7: the game. I wouldn't blame him if he did, you know, but.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Hey, you're a fucking problem with this AI thing. Like
- 47:03Speaker 2: you you're going to be. You're part of the issue
- 47:05Speaker 2: in the world that when it comes to AI. You
- 47:08Speaker 2: just told Mitch to his face it was real.
- 47:10Speaker 4: I literally I literally looked at Sharm and like is
- 47:13Speaker 4: that real? And he's like yeah, and.
- 47:16Speaker 7: Matt hashtag and I would literally sit him down, like
- 47:19Speaker 7: privately and be like, hey, dude, we're a couple of
- 47:21Speaker 7: mistakes away from.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Having a real.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Dude. Every week Matt Malone catches something.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Matt Matt hell. He did, he did.
- 47:32Speaker 7: He He made a baby step towards being a psycho.
- 47:36Speaker 1: He's still not.
- 47:36Speaker 7: He's very far away, but he is making the proper
- 47:40Speaker 7: steps to go to full psych.
- 47:42Speaker 2: I don't think Matt took a step towards being like
- 47:44Speaker 2: a legitimate psycho fan. I think he just big brother.
- 47:48Speaker 2: He wanted to and that happy.
- 47:50Speaker 7: All you gotta do is convince Big.
- 47:51Speaker 1: He's a hunting He's a hunting dog right now. He's
- 47:53Speaker 1: a puppy. He's in the cage watching the adults go
- 47:56Speaker 1: and chase the birds. He's learning how it's gonna work
- 47:59Speaker 1: one day at a time when a daughter was reading
- 48:01Speaker 1: a book about that.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Right now, Jack Hanning at Jack underscore handing. If I
- 48:06Speaker 2: jump off, okay, if I jump off the Gay Street
- 48:11Speaker 2: bridge in Knocksville, will I die? Hashtag tier talk, hashtag football.
- 48:15Speaker 2: That is real.
- 48:17Speaker 1: We got to talk about other teams, other games going on.
- 48:20Speaker 1: There's a lot happening before we jump into the college footballorld,
- 48:24Speaker 1: which kind of feels very fitting right now.
- 48:25Speaker 2: Do we want to talk about any more NFL?
- 48:27Speaker 6: That's all I was gonna say. Stopped in the middle.
- 48:30Speaker 2: We did.
- 48:30Speaker 1: We did.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Coop com Stock, he hit me on the side right
- 48:32Speaker 2: before we walked out here, said, we've lost six games
- 48:35Speaker 2: as Arizona Cardinals fan, six games by a total of
- 48:37Speaker 2: thirteen points. Cardinals are sneaky. They got that best three
- 48:41Speaker 2: and nine team vibe that Will Compton had a couple
- 48:43Speaker 2: of years ago. Don't sleep on the Cardinals.
- 48:46Speaker 7: To come out Call of duty week.
- 48:48Speaker 2: So yeah, Kobe Jacoby Pressett seem like the offense function
- 48:51Speaker 2: a little bit with him in the game, which is good.
- 48:53Speaker 2: If Jacoby Presett plays more gives Colin Murray more time
- 48:56Speaker 2: to play on Call of duty. So that place London
- 49:00Speaker 2: and Will and I are both on the You were
- 49:01Speaker 2: on the Jags, correct, Yeah, well, okay.
- 49:04Speaker 1: It wasn't a favorite of mine. That's a game in London.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Rams are still spicy. They had pooka out.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Yeah, they had pook out.
- 49:09Speaker 1: I'm thinking Jags might have a bounce back game, like
- 49:11Speaker 1: they're learning how to win. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, but that
- 49:13Speaker 1: one got sideways, yes way.
- 49:15Speaker 2: I mean yeah, in same day for Stafford. It actually
- 49:18Speaker 2: turns out being a good thing in my opinion that
- 49:20Speaker 2: the Rams have pooking the coop out because now DeVante
- 49:23Speaker 2: Adams and Matthew Stafford can kind of figure each other
- 49:25Speaker 2: out what each other likes. And it's back shoulder throws,
- 49:28Speaker 2: it's hitting him right out of brakes, it's timing, timing,
- 49:31Speaker 2: timing when it comes to Vonta Adams three touchdowns. Good
- 49:34Speaker 2: thing for the Jags, though, very sloppy football anytime they
- 49:37Speaker 2: got in their red zone. It didn't go the way
- 49:38Speaker 2: they want to turnover on downs multiple times, but they
- 49:41Speaker 2: outgained the Rams and they own the time of possession.
- 49:45Speaker 2: So those things you can look at and be like, hey, boys,
- 49:48Speaker 2: got to build twenty to twenty. We're looking pretty damn
- 49:50Speaker 2: good right now. It's just a matter of getting that
- 49:51Speaker 2: twenty to the end zone.
- 49:52Speaker 1: So, but thirty five sevens absolute ass that's a schlacking
- 49:55Speaker 1: right there.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Another ass who seven sacks again? Sacks giving up in
- 50:00Speaker 2: two football games. That's got to be a record that
- 50:04Speaker 2: I think the Titans did worse. I think we gave
- 50:07Speaker 2: him eleven against the Ravens twenty eighteen. Yeah, you heard
- 50:11Speaker 2: that game. We lost twenty three to three.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Okay, chief fell another asshop in two Chiefs. Absolutely dummy
- 50:18Speaker 1: the Raiders.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Yeah, the best team in the NFL, the best team
- 50:27Speaker 2: in the NFL.
- 50:27Speaker 8: Right now that now that we got Rahi Rice back,
- 50:30Speaker 8: and like, we go ahead, I can say we if
- 50:33Speaker 8: I'm die hard, it should have been a love at
- 50:37Speaker 8: Rashi Rice scored this week. I don't know why we
- 50:40Speaker 8: overthink that, overthought that.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and and and he reads like essentially, yeah, he's
- 50:45Speaker 2: coming back. He's gonna get a big workload this week.
- 50:47Speaker 2: And we're like js N because on Monday when we're
- 50:53Speaker 2: shooting this, and if anybody who follows the locker room
- 50:55Speaker 2: is listening to the show, like we have four anytime
- 50:57Speaker 2: touchdown picks by me, Will Delanyon play three have hit.
- 51:02Speaker 2: The one we're waiting on is tonight with JSN and
- 51:04Speaker 2: the Seahawks, And I'm the one that took.
- 51:07Speaker 1: It's a great pick.
- 51:09Speaker 2: But you sit there and it's like it's a great pick. However,
- 51:12Speaker 2: it would have been nice to have for freet rise
- 51:14Speaker 2: and begind like, don't hey that thing. Hey, we don't
- 51:16Speaker 2: even need Monday night.
- 51:18Speaker 3: To wait for Monday night for the last leg.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Yeah, are you talking about Seattle? They play the Texans,
- 51:26Speaker 1: which I think would be a good game.
- 51:29Speaker 2: That's a tuddy for sure. I mean there's a goo
- 51:30Speaker 2: good pass.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Defense is nice, but dude, Seattle off.
- 51:33Speaker 2: It's a line that's pretty good too. Bears beat the Saints.
- 51:36Speaker 2: I mean Bears not so great in the second half.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Ran the ball really well, defense played really well. Two
- 51:42Speaker 2: against bench against the Dolphins. That's a that's a fire, dude.
- 51:46Speaker 2: If McDaniel's hasn't been fired while we're doing this right now,
- 51:49Speaker 2: it's taking time bomb my.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Right, I think.
- 51:52Speaker 6: So yeah, they're keeping them keeping it.
- 51:55Speaker 1: They're not firing right now.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Okay, great, good for everybody in the as.
- 51:58Speaker 1: Either way, it's bad there. Yeah, either way, it's bad.
- 52:01Speaker 2: Jets remain winless. Jets are gonna go in sixteen per hawk. Uh,
- 52:05Speaker 2: Panthers fall thirteen to six at home. Yeah, I don't
- 52:08Speaker 2: know what to make of the Panthers. Same thing as
- 52:10Speaker 2: the Falcons.
- 52:11Speaker 6: Or wait, the Panthers won.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah Panthers.
- 52:14Speaker 6: Well, I mean the most insane thing the Panthers.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Did Jets lose to the Panthers. Sorry, I read that incorrectly.
- 52:18Speaker 6: The most insane thing the Panthers did was try and
- 52:21Speaker 6: split carries with Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dudel, so it
- 52:25Speaker 6: was unreal. And then finally the second half they went
- 52:27Speaker 6: to him and he Rico went off. But it's like
- 52:29Speaker 6: Rico is the third leading rusher in the NFL, and
- 52:32Speaker 6: when Chuba comes back, they try to give him, they
- 52:35Speaker 6: split the carries and it's like you're just putting water
- 52:37Speaker 6: on your hot hands.
- 52:38Speaker 8: Yeah yeah, even exactly, even with splitting carries, Rico still
- 52:42Speaker 8: ended up with like seventy nine eighty yards and still
- 52:44Speaker 8: had thirty yards.
- 52:45Speaker 4: He still ended up with like one hundred and twenty
- 52:46Speaker 4: all purpose yards.
- 52:47Speaker 1: You gotta, yeah, you gotta continue to go with the
- 52:49Speaker 1: hot hand. I mean Panthers are sneaky stack in a
- 52:51Speaker 1: few wins now, yeah, yeah, with three in a row,
- 52:53Speaker 1: I believe said.
- 52:55Speaker 7: Bryce out eight weeks too.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Oh really back week eight?
- 52:59Speaker 7: Well, so then what you be coming back?
- 53:03Speaker 1: Like next week they have he's.
- 53:05Speaker 3: Not playing this week and then maybe they have a bye.
- 53:07Speaker 3: So yeah, maybe that's right.
- 53:08Speaker 1: You know, it is insane to that division. Jets and Dolphins,
- 53:12Speaker 1: like two of the worst teams we've ever seen ever.
- 53:16Speaker 1: Bills are chilling.
- 53:17Speaker 2: Patriots don't sleep on the Titans.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Don't sleep on the Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess
- 53:23Speaker 1: I guess you are right with that one.
- 53:25Speaker 2: Yeah, the Jets are.
- 53:26Speaker 1: I'm just thinking both of these teams and that like
- 53:28Speaker 1: they're both in the division. There's some bad fucking teams
- 53:32Speaker 1: this year. Man, there's horrible.
- 53:34Speaker 6: Teams and great quarterbacks.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, the theme of the year.
- 53:38Speaker 2: I know this is the last I'll say. Drake May
- 53:40Speaker 2: impresses me so much, man, he really is. I think
- 53:43Speaker 2: he threw for this game against the Titans. He broke
- 53:47Speaker 2: a Tom.
- 53:47Speaker 8: Brady records that the Patriots franchise record with completed completing.
- 53:52Speaker 2: The completion percentage in.
- 53:54Speaker 4: A game with like point five I think.
- 54:02Speaker 2: Is Drake made better than Tom Brady.
- 54:05Speaker 7: In the stadium when he took that hit to the head.
- 54:08Speaker 7: If you saw that where he fell back, Yeah, they
- 54:09Speaker 7: took him out. Josh Jobbs comes in for two plays,
- 54:12Speaker 7: and then when Drake May came out, Dude, the place erupted.
- 54:16Speaker 7: You would have thought that the Titans scored if you
- 54:17Speaker 7: were outside the stadium, it was so loud there cheering
- 54:20Speaker 7: for him. He's a gamer, and you, as someone who
- 54:23Speaker 7: just received an ass beating from him, a lot of
- 54:26Speaker 7: respect to him.
- 54:26Speaker 2: It's fun to watch him for the show.
- 54:28Speaker 7: And I love just like him and his fan with
- 54:30Speaker 7: all his brothers, like there's meatheads and like big just like, yeah,
- 54:34Speaker 7: gotta love it.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Yeah. When he hit the back of his head, you
- 54:37Speaker 2: know he went that blue tent, was like I saw
- 54:38Speaker 2: my shoulder, my shoulder. Yeah, he's out. He was that
- 54:42Speaker 2: boy for a second. All right, let's pull the band
- 54:45Speaker 2: aid off. Let's get into college football. Uh, very fun
- 54:49Speaker 2: week in college football, Very fun week. Louisville upsets Miami.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Carson back through four interceptions in that game. Well what
- 54:56Speaker 2: do you make of Miami? I think are they gonna
- 54:58Speaker 2: Are they gonna win the ACC?
- 55:00Speaker 1: Yeah? I think they I think they still win the
- 55:02Speaker 1: a SEC. Georgia Tax looking tough. Virginia, Yeah, Virginia, but
- 55:07Speaker 1: I see it being between Georgia Tech and Miami. Still. Look,
- 55:09Speaker 1: they lost to Louisville is not a bad football team.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Like I was watching some of that game too. They
- 55:16Speaker 1: got some guys, man, and they came to They showed
- 55:19Speaker 1: up Friday night, came to what Miami's ass. They obviously
- 55:22Speaker 1: took care of business. But Louisville is sneaky tough. But
- 55:25Speaker 1: I still I think I think Miami will bounce back.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Tough loss for him, though, Yeah, and they all the conversations,
- 55:31Speaker 1: conversations that everybody was having about essentially Indiana, Ohio state
- 55:35Speaker 1: and it was Miami in that tier. You did go
- 55:37Speaker 1: and drop a game.
- 55:38Speaker 6: Carson Back's postgame though, idiot.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't see it.
- 55:43Speaker 1: He's just talking about because he had what he had
- 55:45Speaker 1: four interceptions, and he's kind of talking about each one,
- 55:49Speaker 1: and you know, talking about it like throwing some other
- 55:52Speaker 1: guys under the bus, not like specifically throwing them under
- 55:55Speaker 1: the bus, but talking about the plays and ways where
- 55:57Speaker 1: it's miscommunication. We didn't run the right route. Yeah, Eddy
- 56:00Speaker 1: got it wasn't just him, you know, as a quarterback.
- 56:02Speaker 1: You guys just stand up there and.
- 56:03Speaker 2: Say no matter what, and then get it internally and
- 56:06Speaker 2: be like, you can't be running the wrong route. Yeah, Like,
- 56:08Speaker 2: but you want you want to walk into the locker
- 56:09Speaker 2: room and show your guys that you had their back
- 56:12Speaker 2: in front of the public, but inside like I have
- 56:13Speaker 2: to hold you accountable.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and you did what he said.
- 56:16Speaker 6: He said if he runs the right right route, it's
- 56:19Speaker 6: not a pick.
- 56:19Speaker 1: And it's like, dude, oh yeah, what would you say?
- 56:21Speaker 6: People are already like you're a type of player that
- 56:24Speaker 6: everybody is looking for just one reason to hate.
- 56:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and you just gave them that reason because everybody
- 56:29Speaker 1: else that night it was like, Carson Beck, here's a
- 56:31Speaker 1: Carson Beck game, right, He's gonna he's gonna show you
- 56:33Speaker 1: he's gonna have these types of games in the season.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Carson Beck is still Carson Beck. And then to go
- 56:37Speaker 1: out and have a presser like that that does not
- 56:40Speaker 1: does not look good, does not help. I still think
- 56:42Speaker 1: Miami's really good. They just sometimes you can have it
- 56:45Speaker 1: off night, you can have it off, you have a
- 56:47Speaker 1: bad night. Let's uh, let's skip that next one. Let's
- 56:50Speaker 1: talk about Georgia versus Old Miss probably the most exciting
- 56:53Speaker 1: game to watch all year. I mean, we talked about
- 56:56Speaker 1: in the locker room with Josh. Pat's like, how does
- 56:57Speaker 1: that first quarter look? That's gonna tell you how the
- 56:59Speaker 1: Dogs are gonna do in this game.
- 57:00Speaker 2: I think it was ten to seven after the first
- 57:02Speaker 2: quarter of my corrects and saying that ten to seven dogs. Yeah,
- 57:06Speaker 2: Because I didn't get to watch the whole game. I
- 57:07Speaker 2: was I was flying back, but I got to see
- 57:09Speaker 2: the end of that game, and they put up the
- 57:11Speaker 2: drive chart for Old Miss and it's touchdown, touchdown, three
- 57:16Speaker 2: and out, and I remember it's like it's like Super
- 57:19Speaker 2: Troopers when they're shooting the uh the cup, the bulletproof cup,
- 57:22Speaker 2: and he's like, well what about that. She's like, I
- 57:23Speaker 2: don't worry about that one. That's what I'm thinking to myself,
- 57:25Speaker 2: is like, oh, ole Miss. They had that little blip
- 57:27Speaker 2: on the radar, but that's nothing. George's defenses all of
- 57:30Speaker 2: a sudden decided to take over the game, take over
- 57:32Speaker 2: the game, and Gunnar Stockton legit ballplayer. I don't know
- 57:37Speaker 2: if he's an NFL guy. I'm not. I'm not savvy
- 57:39Speaker 2: enough to know about quarterbacks and all that. I'll leave
- 57:41Speaker 2: them to the professionals. But buddy, from a college football standpoint,
- 57:46Speaker 2: dogs don't care about your feelings. It seems like everyone's
- 57:48Speaker 2: always like, yeah, you know, like who does who are they? Kirby, Like,
- 57:52Speaker 2: are they really going to be a team this year?
- 57:53Speaker 2: And it's like they're a team. They're gonna be in
- 57:56Speaker 2: the playoff again. They're gonna be terrifying for anybody who
- 57:58Speaker 2: plays them from here on out.
- 57:59Speaker 1: It's just as yeah, big game two Gunnerstock and just
- 58:02Speaker 1: the offense. Like again forty three to thirty five, showing
- 58:05Speaker 1: up in a shootout against Lin Kiffen and that Old
- 58:07Speaker 1: Miss team. It was fun to watch. They're just going
- 58:10Speaker 1: back and forth. There's so many points in that game.
- 58:13Speaker 1: I know in the locker room, I took Georgia to cover.
- 58:16Speaker 1: But when I went into that game and going on
- 58:19Speaker 1: FanDuel that day, I just went and took the over
- 58:21Speaker 1: because I'm like, I just don't know how this game
- 58:23Speaker 1: is gonna go. Like I think Old Miss is a
- 58:24Speaker 1: good football team, you know, It's like they're showing against
- 58:27Speaker 1: Wazoo last week. It's like, yeah, they're probably all on
- 58:30Speaker 1: deck for this Georgia game coming up. So I just
- 58:33Speaker 1: ended up taking the over and the over hitting. Like
- 58:35Speaker 1: the first half or beginning of the third quarter, it
- 58:38Speaker 1: was just points after points after points. It was crazy.
- 58:42Speaker 3: Yeah, Kirby's second half adjustment is just unmatched. So it's unmatched.
- 58:49Speaker 3: Was up like two scores. Should have been a comfortable
- 58:52Speaker 3: ride through the rest of the game, and here come
- 58:55Speaker 3: the dogs.
- 58:56Speaker 2: Here come the dogs.
- 58:57Speaker 3: And it's weird because you, I mean, you brought up
- 58:59Speaker 3: the Gunner Stockton thing. You watch it and you're like,
- 59:02Speaker 3: how are his numbers?
- 59:03Speaker 1: Like that?
- 59:04Speaker 3: It doesn't make any sense. But then he's a gamer
- 59:07Speaker 3: bro right, Like I still am sitting here.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Like is he good?
- 59:11Speaker 2: He's good?
- 59:12Speaker 1: But he.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he's good, but has that ability.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a guy that can live in Athens for
- 59:20Speaker 2: the rest of his life if everything goes his way
- 59:22Speaker 2: this year. And it's like, oh, what have you been
- 59:24Speaker 2: up to? He's like this, man, you're forty five. Yeah, man,
- 59:27Speaker 2: fuck it. Yeah, I got a coushy job, nice apartment.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Things are good.
- 59:32Speaker 1: I do want the show to flow well, but I
- 59:35Speaker 1: just do have a question, why do you want to
- 59:37Speaker 1: skip the Nebraska game?
- 59:38Speaker 2: Because I knew we were gonna take a lot of
- 59:39Speaker 2: time on that and I was like, well, let's make
- 59:41Speaker 2: sure and hit Okay, let's let's hit these games.
- 59:45Speaker 1: I just want the people to know, like I know,
- 59:47Speaker 1: I need to face the noise. You know, no, no, no,
- 59:49Speaker 1: we're not trying to do it.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Nebraska, Okay. I just I want to give Nebraska its
- 59:55Speaker 2: time because I know guys have questions. I have questions,
- 59:57Speaker 2: and so wanted to kind of righte that when we
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: talked about Alabama Tennessee a little bit, uh trying to
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: would pick six at the end of the half, buddy,
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: like that was ball game right there?
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: That was that was.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Ball game, I mean, and then the safety Yeah, that's
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: I mean, that's nine points right there that you guys
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: just can't afford to give the Alabama Crimson tied. It's
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: just who's who's uh the what do they call him?
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: The disease? The infection? You're that wide receiver. Oh, germ,
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: germ would know, but what do they I think they
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: call him the infection? Right that's a germ?
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Yeah, sure, that's first I've heard it.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Really, I would look that up for him because I
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: feel like I think I've heard that multiple times. That
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: guy is so impressive. He's a ballplayer, got that a. J.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Brown building him too like it's that it's but he
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: runs like Debo.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: Yeah he's nice, but even nicer is Ty Simpson. He's
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: playing some good balls on fire.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: That they not there.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: Fire uses his legs when he needs it.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: Alabama Crimson TI, twenty seventh, twenty five pm. The infection,
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: The infection from the Alabama football account. All right, we
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: did you know Tennessee loss. That's why Jackie boys back
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: there paying his dad season all Alabama gear. We did
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: stream that game. I wish there was more anger and
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: more passion during that stream.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Too, y Garrett when they were making plays. I needed
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: the Garrett that I've seen when he watches Alabama football games.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: And I get it. He's being respectful. It's probably very hard.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: You're sitting there with your best friend. We knew we wanted. Hey,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: this stream, we get all eyes on teams that we
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: have more than one fan on, and we get to
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: kind of watch from afar. These guys be in the
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: same room, and I want to see the passion that
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: we know that they have, cheering, yelling, whatever it is.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: I'm not saying that we need to fake it, but
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I know that there's stuff in there that they left
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: on the field that they didn't put out.
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: The argument you're making right now is essentially this stream
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: kind of was faked because it wasn't authentical how everybody
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: was truly feeling that moment. There was a lot of time.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: But there was like too much just respect. There's there's
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: personal buying and personal equity with these guys. But when
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: I'm sitting there and I'm trying to ask questions, and
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I'm like, I know Jack's beating.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: Down and I've done I shared every question you asked.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and yeah yeah, But I'm what I'm saying
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: is like just that I was sitting there when it
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: was Oregon Penn State going on, and you're kind of
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: watching the Bama Georgia game, and I'm seeing some stuff
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: that like I want that going on in front of them,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: and I know it like opens a wound and everything else.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: And when I was sitting there and I ended up
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: asking Chef the question of how you feeling right now
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: with the game coming on because we're kind of sitting
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: there in silence a little bit, and he just didn't
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: have an answer. I didn't want to do to do
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: it to Jackie Boy, I kind of picked shots every
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: now and then he'll look back and I know when
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: it gets going to more like Nebraska and everything else,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, I know Jack's worked up. I don't
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: want him to think I'm doing that just to continue
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: to like, hey, Jackie boy, how are you feeling about
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: this one? Because I know where that that line gets.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I wanted to ask chef. Chef didn't have anything to say,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: and they didn't speak. Then, guys, where's where's I need
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: some manger? I need some I need to know how
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: you're really feeling in this moment.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: There needs to be a sign on like the stream
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: room doors, kind of like football, Hey, you leave it
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: on the field, Like if you get a fight with
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: your boy at practice when you go in the locker room,
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Hey wrap up my bad, my bad, and you move on.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: We didn't have a sign that like content doesn't care
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: about your feelings. Be authentic.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: That needs to Matt's doing his best. He's put on
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: the path.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: Great job.
- 1:03:27Speaker 8: That was the most emotional one.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: That was more for vibes than he was, like truly
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: caring about the game.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: That was the way Bama was winning. I know she
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: had so much more feeling.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: You want to get.
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: I'm like, Chef, there is a video of you on
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: Twitter being an absolute psycho.
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: Where is that atam?
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: And he's like, you know, I just didn't want to
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: let it out.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Ye halftime.
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: I'm like saying, Chef, this is a stream, like you
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: need to be doing this, And he's like, you know,
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: anything I said would have wanted to say. I can't say, oh, camera,
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: It's like no, you can't. Like we're doing this is
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: a low risk environment.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: I feel like all the content we do, I feel
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: like streaming is our lowest risk.
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: Speaking for a show.
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: I texted him that night. I also I wanted to
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: text the groom be like, yo, sorry, didn't bring the
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: best content, perspective energy there, but there were so many mistakes.
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: It's like that was our most authentic fal self. Like
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: it's very hard for us to just like sit there
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: while we're getting our ass b we're making horrible play
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: calls and then also just like be monkeys in a cage.
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: Like I know that we could have been more, but
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: like that's what you guys are asking us to be,
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: like to shell out like our fandom, to like be
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: like fucking streaming at Garrett. Garrett and I have a
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: very mutual respect for our fandom. It's hard for me
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: and him to get at it because we know how
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: much like it could seriously endanger our friendship if we
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: took it that level, and we just don't. Garrett has
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: been in kneeling before when Alabama is lost and is
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: the most gracious loser. And unfortunately I had sixteen years
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: in a row where we watch Alabama just fucking destroy
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: our lives.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I hated.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: I hated. That's how it went down. It felt like
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: this stream sucked because of Chef and I and I'll
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: take full accountability for that. It's just like I hated
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: the environment. I know that work comes first, and I
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: told you this before, and I was like, I never
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: in a million years wanted to stream that game because
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: I get so just like in my head, like I'd
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: be doing that at my house or like with my friend,
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: just like silent raging in my head. It's I don't know,
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: it's so hard emotionally to like try and understand and like, hey,
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: you know, Tennessee's one thing, but like this is your job.
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: You get health insurance and you're paid for this, But
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: I Tennessee fandom.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: Jack, I understand what you're saying. Here's what I've kind
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: of realized is we go to look at the leadership
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: in the room, and I think it comes to you
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: and me in those situations of poking the bear and
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: stoking the fire.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I mean, I ain't taking accountability.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's like, I think we need to
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: stream the Florida Tennessee game after what's transpired on this bust. Yeah,
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: I think that is that maybe the move and it's
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: really on whoever doesn't have to in the game too.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: People got to know we're gonna poke the bear a
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: little bit, We're gonna we're gonna get in. If it
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: the other way, we'd have to come out, you ge.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: That's just kind of how it has to be from
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: now on because we know it's in there.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: It's I think I think from my point of view
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: during the stream was it's, uh, obviously you want to
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: be locked in, and it is that there isn't always
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: that fear, especially with this game, of like it's not
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: over until it's over. And so even with the pick
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: six happens, and I did punch the Kevin's fridge, so
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: I think I showed my emotion there. Maybe I should
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: have tackled it all the way to the ground for
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: you guys. But there is that sense of and I
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: said it in the locker room, stay focused and fucking
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: finished the job. And that was my pure vibe the
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: entire time I stood up and cheered.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: It's not like, yeah, you're on the team. You gotta
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: until there's that clock zero.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: I'm sure I feel you.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: I'm locked in.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I got it.
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: There's no talking in between plays. Line up for the
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: next NAP.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Tentatively we'll be streaming the Florida Tennessee game. Okay, Arizona State.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: They upset Texas Tech. My thoughts on that game, didn't
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: see a whole lot of it. I know Sam Levitt
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: had a hell of a game. You throw like three
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: and sixty yards. I mean, that's a blip for Texas Tech.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: I think they're gonna turn around. They're gonna mow down
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: the rest of the rest of the competition. There's a
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: chance they see Arizona State in the Bight twelve Championship.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: I kind of have to by undefeated right now.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: BUYU is undefeated. But they play I believe they still
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: play Texas Tech and a couple other ones as well.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: Like they have a very backloaded schedule. It's where it's
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: like b yu b utah, which is one of the
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: parts of the backload schedule. But shout sick yeah, Red
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: and Blue across the board man, Yeah, pull up that
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: BYU schedule because it is they got a nasty little
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: thing coming up. Let's see, they got I always stay,
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: never never count out Rock Obeck and Matt Campbell. Then
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: you got Texas Tech TCU had Cincinnati tc usable Ball Club,
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: and then UCF right there. So I don't know what's
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: gonna happen in BYU. I know that a su've kind
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: of put themselves in. Can you throw up a SU
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: schedule just real quick. We'll move on to the next game,
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: because I feel like SU the kind of the conversation
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: I think Josh Pate talked about on his show last night.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: He was breaking down, like there's a chance we see
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: both these teams again in the Big Twelve Championship because
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: as U. Let's see, they got Houston, I always stay,
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: I always stay at West Virginia, Colorado, Arizona. Like, yeah,
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: they have a much easier back half schedule. You can
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: see them sneaking back into that Big Twelve championship yet again,
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: still at Iowa State. That's a scary one. That's a
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: scary one. Texas Tech. They're played Oklahoma State, poor Coop,
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Kansas State poor will uh B y u U s
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: U c F in West Virginia. So all winnable games.
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: I see Texas Tech mopping from here.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: On Cincinnati schedule, I think they have a pretty too.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: I mean, they gotta play b YU, right, was that
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: the one we just saw. Let's see Cincinnati's got Baylor, Utah,
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Arizona b y U at home though. Yeah, that's not
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: big twelve man wide open in the world. We're kind
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: of sitting in right now at the big twelve twelve team.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: You go back, let's see Georgia Tech. Yeah, listen, Georgia
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: Tech beat Duke. I have no idea why Duke is
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: favored in some of these games. They were a favorite
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: early in the years Illinois that was easy pickings, and
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: then their favorite against Tech. It's just crazy. It's just crazy,
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: like what do we what?
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: What?
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: What is these sport books? Seeing sport books? What is
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: fandels seeing that? We're not saying when it comes to Duke,
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: because clearly we're seeing the field a little bit better.
- 1:10:15Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, many ds. He needs to cut his hair,
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: he needs to switch up to juju for that team. Yeah,
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: I'm seeing it going on. This is just probably where
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: it starts. This is this is where it starts.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Right here. We got to buzz ahead.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: We talked to We talked to Marcus Freeman about the
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: win against US.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: I do think it's crazy. I saw the eight people
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: come out. I think it's wild that USC is not
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: ranked anymore and it fell all the way out. They
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: fell out. Yeah, LSU is still ranked.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: Yeah, they dropped a bunch USC. You have Michigan's now
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: twenty five, which is I like it because it's my school.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: But I'm also like, if you're to pull USC right.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: If you're going to keep Michigan at twenty five like USC,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: like we we should, it's twenty four to twenty three,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. Like I think it's crazy that they
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: felt out because there are two losses of what Illinois,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: who's now ranked, which is good, but their two losses
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: being at Illinois and at Notre Dame. Notre Dame one
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: of the best teams, you know, climbing up to be
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: one of the best teams in the country. Again. Yeah,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I did think it was crazy that US kind of
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: fell out of the top twenty five because I still
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: think US is a good football.
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: Team, great football team, really good football.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Team, tough to win at South Bend.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: Special elements, Yeah, the rain, all that.
- 1:11:22Speaker 6: Jeremy Love was destined to go off.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: Yeah, let's talk about October. Someone in the pre production
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: meeting said, is it Coctober or a South Carolina just
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: asked if somebody to do that on the bus, sitting
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: on the bus right now, now is the time to
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: come clean?
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: Oh wow, that was me, the Florida Gators fan.
- 1:11:41Speaker 6: I did right that.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: For twenty four hours already given the Gator fans.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: Have to defend this though.
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: JP and I we have talked before the season started,
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: and he was talking about South Carolina all this stuff,
- 1:11:55Speaker 5: and I think I said many times, I think South
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: Carolina is really going to let you down this year.
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: And now the real question is will they even make
- 1:12:02Speaker 5: a bowl game? I think that is a fair question
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: to ask.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: That's a fair question.
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: How many wins will South Carolina end the season with.
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: I think we should go around and find out what
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: everyone thinks.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: What's their schedule?
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: Can you pull it up at Alabama this week, we
- 1:12:15Speaker 6: got Old missed. The next week we have A and
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: M and then we play Coast to Carolina and Clemson.
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: What's your record right now?
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: We're three and four, So eight and four, and who
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: are the next three opponents?
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: Bama, Ole, miss A and M Coastal and then Clemson.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: I think you get the.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: Last two Now, Old missing at a M on the road.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: I don't think you need a bowl game. You beat Clemson.
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: There you go. We're throwing it back to the old days.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Trust me.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: Season saves with a Clemson win.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: I am hoping for an upset and one of these
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: next three would love to see it. It's just miss win.
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: Just start trying to ruin seasons.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, the Florida head coach, they all quit on them.
- 1:12:57Speaker 7: You get one of those three, and I think y'all
- 1:12:59Speaker 7: get Coastal and then I feel like y'all just dog
- 1:13:01Speaker 7: Clemson like y'all were born to do.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: This is the sneak Alabama this week at home.
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: The issue is we have we have five O linemen out.
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: Hoping me maybe some of them come back, but we're
- 1:13:14Speaker 6: missing five O linemen. Dylan Stewart got hurt last week.
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: Linebacker got hurt when you're missing your whole starting O line. Yeah,
- 1:13:23Speaker 6: because the left tackle he.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Got hurt this past week and Dylan Stewart.
- 1:13:27Speaker 6: And Dylan Stewart, you're you're pretty depleted. And the number
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: one frustration from Gamecock fans is offensive play calling because
- 1:13:34Speaker 6: it's like you see all of these teams with similar
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: talent just moving the ball all the time. You see
- 1:13:40Speaker 6: Diego Pavia run nuts on everyone. It's like, you cannot
- 1:13:44Speaker 6: tell me that Leonora Sellers cannot do what Diego Pavia
- 1:13:48Speaker 6: is doing. So that's the frustrating part. But I was
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: telling Taylor before, I was like, this truly is maybe
- 1:13:53Speaker 6: this is the year to make making a bowl game
- 1:13:56Speaker 6: great again because growing up, this reminds me of all
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: my seasons in Elms Henry School. We would go into
- 1:14:01Speaker 6: the Clemson game pretty much at five wins. It's like,
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: we beat Clemson, we're in the bowl game, and we
- 1:14:07Speaker 6: win that bowl game, it's up next season, and the
- 1:14:10Speaker 6: bowl game had so much weight to it. At the
- 1:14:12Speaker 6: lunch room table, you're fighting for it. Like in elementary school.
- 1:14:16Speaker 6: I don't think we ever beat Clemson, but there was
- 1:14:18Speaker 6: always a chance. But it's just like that we're throwing
- 1:14:21Speaker 6: it back. This is a five fandom year where we're
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: fighting for that Bowl game. I'm here for the fight.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: Every week.
- 1:14:33Speaker 6: I'll be at the Alabama game. G may or may
- 1:14:35Speaker 6: not be there, but I'm gonna do whatever I can
- 1:14:39Speaker 6: to will.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: This team to victory.
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I mean, I'm yeah. They want to know
- 1:14:42Speaker 6: with me there this year, but if they gave me
- 1:14:45Speaker 6: the opportunity, I will speak to every single player individually
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: if I needed to.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Yeah, start getting them.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: Just line them up outside of an office. You're just
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: in there.
- 1:14:56Speaker 6: I'm willing to do whatever whatever I can, sticking to
- 1:14:59Speaker 6: the se.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: See, we got a college game day in the fall,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: don't lie tour at Missouri at Vanderbilt this weekend, big.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: Game, massive game.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Yeah, for the guys that are in town. That'd be
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: a fun game to go to. Dude, like the ot
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: between Missoon and Auburn and seeing that, seeing the ballplayer,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: seeing Missoo's guy just talking ship to Auburn and then
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: go and get a sack and and tackle for loss.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: I loved it, bro, he was on fire, on fire,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: on fire.
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: That's gonna I.
- 1:15:30Speaker 6: Have no idea who's gonna win that one.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: I don't either. I don't either because Missoo's tough, Vanderbilts tough.
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: I think they're gonna do game day on Broadway.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: You know, mcfiel have that place.
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: It's gonna be nuts.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it'll be interesting if if Vanderbilt beats Missouri, it's
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: gonna have to become Cad McConnell Vanderbilt hate week for me,
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: the last week in November, all that ball stuff on
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: the terrified about what my wall it's gonna look like
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: if them boys pull that off.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Whoever wins, it's their one losses to Bama. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: they're one losses to Bama. God try. Now Bama looks
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: like the best I won't say the best team in
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: the SEC. Gotta still give credit to Texas A and M.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: They're still undefeated right now and taking care of business.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: But Bama looks really good. It's like them and A
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: and M are the front runners. Yeah, is nice, and
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: A and M is.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Nice about Georgia, man, I feel them making George.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Is there, but they're just on you know, the loss
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: to Bama.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you say four four ranked wins in a row
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: with full ranked wins in a row for.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: Bour ranked wins in a row two on the road.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Wait till wait till they play and they keep that?
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Can they keep that going against an unranked South Carolina?
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Damn yeah, sec, I'll over the secs at with the
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: big twelve sec like it's gonna get fun.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: We have the beginning of the season. You looked at
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: our schedule, we had Tennessee South Carolina. I think he
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: goes Oklahoma, LSU and then Auburn and now unfortunately, like
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: LSU isn't very good, Oklahoma's wishy washy ls.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: You've been on. They are for man, We'll.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: See how we can finish it out.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: They're like what you see at the end of the year, buddy,
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: dive into what it's a big ten ball. Yeah, we
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: taught big ten ball all quickly go. I took my
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: daughter to the Michigan Washington game. I was very nervous
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: about this game because Washington's one loss came to Ohio State,
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: who is seems like the most complete team in all
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: coll college football right now. And uh, I mean Washington
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: comes back against Maryland. I think it was like twenty
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: four unanswered points in the fourth quarter. When they're in Maryland.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: The quarterbacks elite, the running back is awesome that they
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: have that wide receiver Boston, So I'm like they have
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: a lot of offensive firepower. And after watching them versus USC,
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: watching Michigan versus USC the week before, I'm wondering what
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: we're gonna see Justice. Hey, as I see him on Friday,
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: he's doing He's put a little some then on his
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: shoulder pads, and my, hey, we going this week? Is
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: that we're gonna find out today? It's Friday, It's Friday afternoon.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: He ends up not playing that game. So I was
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: very nervous our defense. That was it?
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: That dude? We the fifteen.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: Quarterback Williams the quarterback for Washington. He's throwing one interception
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: all year. He threw three against Michigan. Seven seven. We
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: leave a lot of points off the board. We have
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: a fourth and one once you know, it dropped, took place,
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: and then we missed it. We missed a field goal.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: So there's a lot of points and we're almost in
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: the red zoneer in field goal position on that fourth
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: and one second half, I mean Bryce Underwood five for
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: five on one drive sixty four yards. I was showing
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: JP a bunch of highlights when I got back during
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: that yem shit was juicing me up. That was his
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: best game. That was his guest game. Like he he
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: made some throws. I was just like I still am
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: like like recovering from last year. We couldn't throw the
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: ball at all. Anytime there's a completion, I'm like, oh,
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: just getting a little chubby. You're sitting there like this,
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: guys fucking unbelievable, and it's like a checkdown. I'm like,
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: we got them, we got one. But he had a couple.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: Both tight ends are out, our starting tight end and
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: our second string tight end was out. Our third string
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: tight end who's a junior, has like six catches for
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: eighty six yards. Bryce is threading the needle. That marsh
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: kid the one handed catch like and then Marshall the
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: backup running back. I was one hundred and thirty six yards.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: Like it was one of those games you like watch
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: You're like, this is an offensive. This is an offense
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: that you play like this, you can beat anybody. That
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: defense like you were getting home with four. We're not
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: blitzing every single play. It's sparingly, it's tasteful. They're disguising
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: and it was like you walk with from that game
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: and it's like that every week. Yeah, do that every week.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: As low as vibes were were after the USC were,
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: I'm thinking to myself, you know, maybe I don't know
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: about washing and shit, I don't know about Maryland. I
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: don't know about some of these schools. I feel good
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: about Ohio State as always.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: But conversations worse starting to come up about Michigan.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and Searan Moore, And now it's like, keep me
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: on the roller coaster, any other ro coasters. Now I'm
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: feeling as high as I possibly could be.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: And there was a I don't know his name, but
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: it's like I want to say he was a backup
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: quarterback last year for Michigan, and he was on some
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: show or podcast talking about the culture and it's a
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: lot of finger pointing and you're kind of seeing it
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: come to fruition.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: I saw a tweet about that. You you know, you were
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: talking to me about that. Hell, it seems like Chearon's lost.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: The locker room.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: Lost a lot somebody.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: It was Saturday night when I when I got back
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: from the game, and there was a conversation. I know
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: it might not be new, but somebody was like, yeah,
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: I'm good, I'm glad you guys had that game, because
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: I saw reports that like Chearon's lost the locker room.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: I think it was coming from that that backup Q
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: that was on the team. No, No, it wasn't Orgy.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: It wasn't Orgy.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: Yeah, fuck him. You know what I'm saying, Like you
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: there's a reason why you left, buddy, that's not It's
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: not for everybody when it comes to the Mazing Blue.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: So it was for me a game just to watch
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: and like be like wow, that was a really Yes,
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: it was from that.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: It was from that account to what what was that
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: account that posted that they're posting stuff on Reddit or.
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: Something like that, Clayton Safety.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but what was the account that sharing it? Because
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: that's where I also saw the video. Yeah, yeah, that's
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: a kind of it's like an Illuminati, same account the market, dude,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: right there, Go up, go up. Jack Tuttle, Damn Jack
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Damn Tuttle. Yeah, I know, bro, one year out King
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: Tutt a little tut talking crazy playing now, he said
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: former Michigan quarterback Jack Tuttle. Enterprise players are pointing fingers
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: at coaches and arguing with one another. He even admits
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: that it happened last year under Sharan Moore.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: Hashtag noticing ever, Yeah, really easy to sit in the
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: zoom with a collared shirt on and say me nasty
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: things that the program you can't affect.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: That's a tough look when you're out. That is a
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: tough look.
- 1:21:52Speaker 6: That's bitterness.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: That's a tough look.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: But just like you got boys on.
- 1:21:58Speaker 6: The squad, like what are you doing? What are you
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: hoping to get from that? Right?
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: Exactly, Like, yeah, you know all the guys that are
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: on that football team besides the freshman anyways, regardless, Hey, yeah, it's.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: Like those are still all your teammates.
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: Yeah, regardless of how things have gone from Michigan this year,
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: these guys are they're living, eating, and breathing it every
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: single day where like this is, this is. They're so
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: zoomed into it. They believe in they're gonna win every
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: single game by fifty points. But you know what, we
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: need guys like Tuttele We need them because now, right now,
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: it's a little brother week. We've opened up at thirteen
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: and a half point favorites versus Michigan State, Big statement game, Texas.
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: Sharona said, this is a game you're up by twenty one.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: You go for two.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: This is one of those games.
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: It's time to cover, Time to cover.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: Yeah, time to cover.
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: Hey covered this week. So that was nice. But overall, man,
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: I was like a very uplifting Saturday. Awesome to have
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: a willow there. It was a great time. You ready.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Yeah, look all eyes on Northwestern. That was a bad game.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: That was a bad game against men. So hats off
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: to Minnesota. They had an incredible I'll obviously do the
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: coach speak game plan, but they shoved it. They rowed
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: the boats up our asses in that second half. It
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: was tough. I'm still healing from it. I started Friday morning.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I weighed myself. I was two seventeen. I got on
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: the scale last night after the weekend was over. I'm
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: two twenty five. I've added eight pounds. I've ate ice
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: cream four days in a row. I'm currently still healing.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: But now we go to work. Now it's Monday. Now
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: it's time to work. Yeah, because the world doesn't give
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: a fuck. Dude, all the noise that was happening last week.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: It sucks because people gonna be like, oh, this was
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: definitely a distraction everything. People are gonna you know, the
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: world's gonna be as loud as ever around Nebraska, and
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: we played a bad game. JP was talking like, why
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: can't we look like some of these offenses going around.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: I just see some of these quarterbacks who have you know,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: some who have enough time to throw the ball around.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I'm thinking, why can't our offensive lind do that? But
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get in that just negativity mentality, because
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: no matter what, you have to go back to work
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: this week. You have to. You know, we're playing Northwestern.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: We need to beat their ass because again I know
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: that that game of touff. You see Dylan after the
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: game just taking all the accountability. Look it starts with me.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: That was a tough game and just all the players
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: feeling pissed off about it. You know that sucked because
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: they went in before that week started and said, hey,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: we want to wear the all whites. We know we
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: kind of have the curse or we have a bad record.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: I want to say Riola and the boys and went in,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: hey we want to wear the all whites. Got all
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: the noise going on with coach rule throughout that entire week,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: and they wanted to right or wrong and felt like
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: this culture everybody talks about how the feeling around this team,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: it's just a different vibe, it's a different mentality. We're
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: three and one in one score games going into that
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: game against Minnesota and we had a very bad showing,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: and part of me, it's that that little bit creeps
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: in of being five and tune. You're at that midway point,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: is it, you know, hopefully, like this is like all
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: hands on deck. You gotta get this bad taste out
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: of your mouth and put an ass whooping on Northwestern
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: because of not It's like, fuck, man, is this about
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: to you know? Are we just gonna be iffy throughout
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: the rest of the season. I don't think we will.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: I think we have a good football team. We have
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: to figure it out at the line of scrimmage. We
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: can't let teams run the football as well as Minnesota
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: is doing it in that second half against US, And
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: so it's just it's just one of those ones like
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: I'm there with JP. I'm gonna find every which way
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: I can turn over every stone and will this team
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: to victory this weekend. It gets Northwestern because it's got
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: to be an asshopen. This is a massive How are
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: you going to respond after a game like that for Nebraska?
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: Is this game home or away?
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: I believe it's home.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: Is there a chance that will come? Oh you have
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: to go to Sleepy Hall this weekend?
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I gotta go.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: It's a perfect game for will comf to take a
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: solo mission. Maybe just take RU and go to Lincoln
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: and just be boots on the ground.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Roof can't go to a game like that. That's where
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: I should see a different version of her. Old man,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: you know what I mean?
- 1:25:46Speaker 6: But this is this is Monday. Is this what I
- 1:25:49Speaker 6: call mirror Monday? And this is what I hope is
- 1:25:51Speaker 6: going on in South Carolina locker room, and I hope
- 1:25:53Speaker 6: it's going on in Nebraska's locker room. When you show
- 1:25:56Speaker 6: up and you go to put your paths on, you
- 1:25:58Speaker 6: open up your locker. I want the coach to put
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: a mirror in there so every single player can look
- 1:26:02Speaker 6: themselves in the eye and say, am I who I
- 1:26:05Speaker 6: say I am? And am I becoming who I'm supposed
- 1:26:08Speaker 6: to be?
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: I love?
- 1:26:10Speaker 6: You can't answer that question. Get out of the locker room.
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: I just came up with that off top.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: Did you get my piss hot young man?
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: Hell?
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Yeah, Monday, Mere Monday. Bro, I'm with you, because that
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: was tough. I went into halftime and again it's like
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: you see all the you know, the second people love
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: to talk about and post about the negativity going on,
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: but I'm like, all right, at the end of the day,
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: we had to we put ourselves in touch situations, whether
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: sacks or penalties. When we got into scoring position, took
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: three points instead of seven. They did pop one long
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: run on us, So I'm thinking to myself, they popped
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: one play on us at seven to six. Do I
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: wish we were up that it was fourteen and seven? Absolutely,
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: but it's like, let's come out of the second half
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: and let's go to work, and dude, Minnesota, just one
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: play at a time. Bro. We got one where Archie
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: Archie Wilson puts it on the one yard line, Eckler's
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: fired up, We pin him back on the one yard line,
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: and they go like fifteen seventeen plays ninety nine yards.
- 1:27:07Speaker 9: Bro.
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: And even when we could get up the fielding those
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: fourth and short and they go for it and we
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: get a defensive pass interference and you're just like, fuck man.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: And then slowly but surely, I just started to have
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: that feeling I'm like, fuck, boys, we're running at a
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: time here, like we got to start making some hay
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: and it just didn't happen.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: Hey.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: And by the way, that that linebacker for Minnesota had
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: that a gap blitz and my boy, my boy, Emma Johnson,
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: and Emma didn't shy away from it. It just didn't
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: go his way in that a gap.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: And that's when you pull up and be like, as
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: a coach, you show Emma Johnson that and be like,
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: I know you don't want to see this clip, but
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: you gotta take a lot of pride and you put
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: in your face in that you're out the guys come
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: up the head full of steam.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: Buddy's gonna wake ways.
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: He's got a neckroll on no fair Dodgs and this
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: dude's coming right down the middle, and listen, we gotta
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: find a way to have it. Is that a linebacker
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: play that I'm sure you dreamed about, and I'm sure
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: a lot of linebackers room about. Yeah, but everyone gets
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: go that's one play.
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: I watched and I'm like, I had a nice rush
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: by old boy.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: Yeah, even even while you're in mental health, Yeah, yeah, yeah, David, listen,
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: I was with Friday night day with Dave. While the
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: game's taking place, I'm putting Willow to sleep. I come
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: back out. Dave's like two and a half three rum
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: and diet coke deeep, And I taught him on the film.
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: I was like secretly filming him and he's like, we
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: got a text swell. I'm like, Dave, I'm telling you
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: right now, this is not the time. And I started
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: to film because I was gonna tweet a little video
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: of Dave Minnesota. He's a Minnesota alumni talking about you know,
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: if nobody's ever watched football before, they'd be like, what's
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: the big deal with this all? With this white and
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: red team, like saying all these things. I have the
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: video and I'm like, I'm like, I literally I literally
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: thought about you. And I was like, I can't do
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: this to will right now.
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: But it's your dad doing it. It's kind of it's funny.
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: And I'm like, I'm wanting to get Dave lawan after that.
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: But because he was Dave was talking crazy, you know,
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: like he's talking about Minnesota. I'm thinking, you guys haven't
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: been good ever, what are you talking about?
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: They were good that night?
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: Number zero, that defensive end he's good. Now, that's a
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: good defensive end from Minnesota.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: I highly doubt any team in America beats Minnesota on
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Friday night. That Friday night, they looked good. They looked
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: good even when they're getting coverage, sacks, like they did
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: a great job taken away basically everything we wanted to do.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Hats off to him, Hats off to PJ Fleck, Hats
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: off to the Minnesota Gophers. I was talking a little
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: shit before that game started. You pushed it down my throat,
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: and you guys know where my house is. Like I
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: thought about going and laying on the railroad tracks after
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: the game.
- 1:29:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I now understand the purchase more.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean will like he said, if we lose,
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: like text me and make sure I'm good. If I
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: don't respond, like, come to my house, I'm in an Arboro.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: I send you a text, thought some prayers were with
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: the Compton family. Love you. No response, I'll wake up
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: Saturday morning. I'm thinking, is he gone? Is he with us?
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: I took that as you patted me on it.
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: At some point, well, hold on, at some point, dude,
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: you've got to realize if it's not Michigan Nebraska, I
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: am rooting for you in Nebraska at some point that's
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: got to change in your head a little bit because
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: I'm not pat of you on the head.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: It can't why I don't know the same reason that
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: the same reason I did my video, And I'm like,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: I should be happy with the life that I have,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: but I'm not, Like there's something that's just in my
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: brain that it just I don't think I'll go that way?
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: Can I? Is there anything I can do for you
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: to realize and for the Nebraska players who watched this
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: who like basically called me a piece of shit before
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: the Michigan Nebraska game, not realizing I played football there, Like,
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: what can I do for you as your friend to
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: where you know that I'm on your side? Is it
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: not to talk to you at all about Nebraska other
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: than on the show?
- 1:30:54Speaker 6: Is it?
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: You know? I I don't know. If I had that answer,
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: I would have tried to community.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: Is it possibly the competition taking place where I'm like
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: truly trying to look at you in the eyes as hey, buddy, Yeah,
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: I'm rooting for you guys. Like there's some fun things
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: we have to do in the show, like Matt Rule
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: to Penn State, like I gotta bring that up because
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: that is the show we have your friend, I'm your friend.
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: I know he is, but he's like, I'm not patting
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: you on the head. I'm not Dave Portenal. I know
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: there's times earlier today, I'm like that play we was
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: talking about Kay McConnell, I'm like that play that took
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: place with forty nine. It's like, that's a good football player.
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: Like what are you doing?
- 1:31:29Speaker 6: Like I do this.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: You might have to bring that out of nowhere for
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: zero reason.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Because it's football porn. The subject to was football porn.
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: I was like, it's similar to and I'm not even
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: trying to but that's a similar play. You just said
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: that's a great football play.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but at that moment you took out a pocket
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: knife and slipped it in me.
- 1:31:44Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying, Persons that happen over the
- 1:31:46Speaker 6: course of like being a Nebraska fan a South Carolina fan,
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: that it's like wounds healed, but scars don't.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: Like the scar is there, And I can tell you
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: what you are on a roll now, I get what.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: I get it. And I felt that when the whole
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: Nebraska Michigan thing took place, this year and when you
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: picked Nebraska and your your meaning was, Hey, I'm gonna
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: go roll with the home team. I know a piece
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: of you were still thinking about South Carolina Tennessee from
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: a couple of years ago. When I sat there and
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: took Tennessee.
- 1:32:17Speaker 6: I know that it has nothing to do with your
- 1:32:19Speaker 6: decision experience.
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: I understand, it's.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: Just moments you yeah, yeah, I.
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: Can't because my school, because my school.
- 1:32:30Speaker 6: No, I'm saying, you're not doing anything wrong. It's it
- 1:32:33Speaker 6: has nothing to do with you. It's all it's all here.
- 1:32:36Speaker 6: It's all internal. It's all the battles that we've been through.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: Right, the battles you've been through. I'm over here with
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: my sword and my shield saying guys, I'm with you. Hey,
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: cock tober We're like, it's too late, and I'm saying,
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: that's what therapy is for. That's a therapy can help
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: both y'all.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: But to go to therapy, the other person also has
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: to want to go to therapy. I don't want to
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: go to therapy.
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: So you want to sit there in every single fall
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: for here on out. You want when I talk about
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: in the breast, like, man, I wish you guys got that,
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: and you're like fucking piece of ship. Pat me on
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: the head again. It's like, no, bro, I'm literally thinking
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: about you. Friday after I put my child, I'm thinking
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: to myself, I hope my best friend's okay.
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: I know, but there's things that you've said and done
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: that just you can't take back.
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: Similar to I can't wait for Michigan to fall, Like
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: you know, I'm praying on your guys downfall. I heard
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: all you said, all those things to you.
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: I think I said that one time, he said, when
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: again I was bleeding the knife. I was bleeding and
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: I was still holding knife. You no matter what you
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: go to it, say we go seven and five, you're
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: gonna be hey. Beginning of the year, I was saying,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: you guys should be happy about this. That is right there,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: right there.
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: That right there, to me, I'm still saying, like, listen
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: that it were showing growth. But if you're because you're
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: sitting there is you're the most unrealistic fan. No, no, no,
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: I'm not digging. I'm telling the true again to listen
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: to me.
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: You're not wanting to listen to Okay.
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: If you're talking about digging, it's because you're in the
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: same position. I'm telling you, guys, hey, if you go better,
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: have a better record from last year, that's called getting
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: better as a program.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: So here's here's what's happening. In those moments. You're asking
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: how you can support me, and then you're also making
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: your own decisions on how you think you're support me.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: I'm not responding the way you want to. I'm trying
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: to tell you, hey, here's how you support me. But
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: you continue to do that bullshit or you pat me
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: on the head. I'm not patting you on the head,
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: will but you are because I'm not doubt you.
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: No, I'm not. That's your that's your medica. I'm literally saying, hey,
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: if you have a better record than the year before
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: than your team's gotten better, yes or no? Is that fact?
- 1:34:27Speaker 6: No?
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: Yes, no, yes.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: But also as you say that, that is fine that
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: you sit in that chair and you say that, but
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: don't come asking me how can I support you when
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: I'm trying to help you and you don't want to
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: take it.
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: I know I'm supports you.
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: Right now, It's done. We're done. We ain't going to therapy,
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: we ain't mended this.
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: Sort give up on our football family, going on any time.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: It's like, hey, I love you, I'm thinking about the
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: confant to that, and I'm just gonna look, motherfucker. Don
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: or done.
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: Dude. I can't sit there. It's like it's like you're
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: sitting there and you're like ten and two, eleven and one,
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: Big ten Championship playoffs.
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: Listen, listen to me. Can we not now? I get it,
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: we just had a bad outing, right, but what like
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: the rest of our resume right now we're sitting in
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: five and two. You can't sit here and tell me
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: that I shouldn't expect us to stop you because US
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: is going to be a tough game.
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: Let me stop you. Though I agree with everything you're saying.
- 1:35:31Speaker 2: I agree with that every game you have on your
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: schedule is winnable. USC is the one you kind of
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: put us on and you're like, I don't know about
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: that one. I am with you. I think you guys
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: can literally win out Tenant two is still right in
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: front of you. I agree. When we sat in the
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: beginning of the year, your team has gotten better, and
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: I said seven and five, you guys have gotten better.
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: That's okay to say. I'm sitting here now in the
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: middle of October late October, even saying will you guys
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: can win out and I belie leave you can now
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: listen to the words don't think about what I could be. Okay,
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: I'm saying the Nebraska Cornhuskers absolutely can go ten and
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: two without a doubt. Okay, full stop, end of sentence.
- 1:36:16Speaker 2: There's no patting on the head. USC's gonna be tough.
- 1:36:19Speaker 2: Penn State. Yeah, I always had your number, but I
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: went in a fucking ball cub that should be able
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: to hey out, Dylan Royola. They don't got pass rushers
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: is gonna get nine sacks in a game. You guys
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: can win that fucking game. I'm with you one hundred percent.
- 1:36:35Speaker 2: One hundred percent. What time is it?
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: Heart rates in one o two? Here's what it is.
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: So if I don't believe it's gonna happen, but if
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: we were happening to be seven and five, right and
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: I'm pissed off about Nebraska, you ain't gonna sit there
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: and say that's a positive year. You're gonna understand that
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: we should be pissed off about being seven and five.
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: Okay, let me finish everything I'm about to say before
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: you speak. The beginning of the year. I one hundred
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: percent believed seven and five is you guys have gotten better.
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: And that is just the reality the product I've seen
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: from the Nebraska Cornhuskers at this point. What is the
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: day today?
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: October twentieth, ten twenty.
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: Okay, if you guys end up seven and five, it's
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: a failure of a season at this point, because you
- 1:37:31Speaker 2: guys have put a great product in the field. Your
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: running back is leading the Big Ten in rushing even
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: though the guy that wasn't first place didn't play last week.
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: Your defense is a lot better. Rail is a great quarterback,
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: and if you can scheme up some things from a
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: protection standpoint, if you go seven and five, that is
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: a failure of a season. Absolutely, ten and two needs
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: to be the look at worst, nine and three. There's
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: no room for error at this point. There's no room
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: for error. Now you can speak no, you're on the
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: right track. Listen.
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: Wait, I was waiting for it, wait for any body
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: in there, and I was gonna be yeah, exactly.
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: And the intensity in your eyes, buddy, USC I can't
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: sit here looking in the eyes and be like you're
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: for sure gonna win that game.
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: Look, there's things I need to see as well, because
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: I do think you has right.
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: But you guys got Ucla, the UCLA down the stretch.
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: You got Northwestern this week, which just won nineteen zero
- 1:38:29Speaker 2: versus Purdue. You guys need to body bag Northwestern. You
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: guys can body bag Northwestern Iowa. Yeah, they've had your
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: number for what the last ten years? Eight two, in
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: the last ten years, nine and one. This is the
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: year we're flipping the script. This is the year we're
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: flipping the script. I am truly with you. So if
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: the unthinkable happens in one of these games and I
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: send you a text that says I'm thinking about you,
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: know that it's coming from a place of empathy and love.
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: Has nothing to do with patting you on the head.
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: That pats on the head happen when Michigan's on the schedule.
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: Michigan is no longer in the schedule. That game's gone,
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: it's done, it's over with, it's in the past. I'm
- 1:39:09Speaker 2: with you in the Huskers.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: No, I hear you know. I can't promise nothing on
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: how I receive this.
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: You're much more in this where I am sitting a
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: couple of rooms away right now, and I can hear
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: the noise, but I'm not involved in the noise because
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: it's not my team. At the end of the day,
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: if anything happens, I'll be a bit of support. And
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: it's kind of like one of those things. I'll go
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: to you, I'll see your emotional state, and I'll be like,
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: this is where he wants to be. We can sit
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: in silence with each other for a little bit. There's
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: no there's no more of that we can get like
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: Matt rule, Depenn state. That's a real thing we gotta
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: worry about as Nebraska fans. Taylor done that.
- 1:39:51Speaker 6: Appreciate y'all too.
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: Press buddy, No, no, that, but that's that's also just real,

- 1:40:26Speaker 6: was insane?

- 1:40:30Speaker 2: and quote tweeting it?
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: I just you gotta you gotta call that bullshit out.
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: Another funny thing is Publics was on it.

- 1:43:40Speaker 2: Play good. Let's get back to this episode. Well, there
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: was a situation we streamed Alabama, Tennessee. Your Game was
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: also on during that and after I got jopped off
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: my wife and kids because I just got back from
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: the Michigan game with my youngest daughter, and I hit
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: Will with the you know, hey, give me a ride home?
- 1:43:58Speaker 2: Essentially it was no. And then as Pepee was friends
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: that don't just get ubers for themsels when they can
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: afford to get ubers for themselves, and my pet Peeve
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: was friends that don't go with the extra mile of friends.
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: I just want to know what your stance on that
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: whole thing.
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: Will talking about coach Freeman here, He's got to have
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: some more context. Taylor is notorious for not having a
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: vehicle asking for rides home. He knew that he wasn't
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: going to have a ride home, and it was honestly
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: the finish up of your guys' game against USC and
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: he waited until it was basically like ten forty to
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: start asking for rides home when he knew that everybody
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: was going to be up in arms because he's out
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: of the way to take home. And I'm thinking, Bro,
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: you're a grown man. You have the Uber app, like
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: you should just be you should just be asked for
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: an Uber because then when you say no, he like
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: guilt you or tries to make you feel sat and
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: so I'm saying no, bro, like that, you got to
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: take an uber home in that situation. You knew this
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: was going to happen. If you would have asked me,
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: like if you were coming in and it's like, hey,
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: the tailor's gonna drop me off and flying in from
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: the Michigan game, like, would you mind giving me a
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: ride home after the dream? I'm positive if you were
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: asking me that, I would have been like, yeah, I
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: can get you. He is right the last thing, and
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: then he's like walking to me. He's like hey, Will,
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: and I'm like, what's up. Bro? He's like, can I
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: get this right home? And I'm like, no, Bro, I'm
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: not giving you a right home.
- 1:45:12Speaker 2: That's fair. Actually, the way he just spelt it out,
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: you don't even need to answer that question. Let's get
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: into it, huh showy, Yeah, dude. First off, we're gonna
- 1:45:22Speaker 2: give you another run of a plus. That was an
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: incredible win. A lot of people the nation after the
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: way USC played against my beloved Michigan Wolverines. People were like, hey,
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: we know US seas nine and a half point dogs
- 1:45:33Speaker 2: against Notre Dame, but we could see them beating them.
- 1:45:36Speaker 2: You guys rushed for over three hundred yards in that
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: game after going oh and to to start of the season, Like,
- 1:45:42Speaker 2: talk about this game plan, rain everything, Like, you guys
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: took it the adversity and you just kept motoring through.
- 1:45:49Speaker 2: Tell me about that.
- 1:45:51Speaker 9: Yeah, I think going into it, you knew how talented
- 1:45:54Speaker 9: of a team they were, Like, this is a talented
- 1:45:56Speaker 9: football team. Obviously you saw what they did with Michigan
- 1:45:59Speaker 9: the week before. But we knew we were gonna have
- 1:46:02Speaker 9: to run the ball, Like that was non negotia, But
- 1:46:06Speaker 9: we were gonna have to run the ball. We knew
- 1:46:08Speaker 9: there was gonna be some weather, and and and our
- 1:46:10Speaker 9: guys up front blocked protected, did a really good job
- 1:46:14Speaker 9: and we were able to have some explosive games. And
- 1:46:16Speaker 9: then defensively we were gonna have to do two things.
- 1:46:20Speaker 9: We're gonna have to stop the run and make them
- 1:46:21Speaker 9: one dimensional because they've been able to throw in pass
- 1:46:24Speaker 9: the ball for over two hundred yards a game. And uh,
- 1:46:27Speaker 9: and then we knew we were gonna have to stop
- 1:46:28Speaker 9: number six like he is one of the best wide
- 1:46:31Speaker 9: receivers in the country, and so we had a plan
- 1:46:33Speaker 9: to do those things. They got yards, but we didn't
- 1:46:36Speaker 9: let him consistently run the ball on us, and we
- 1:46:38Speaker 9: stopped number six from beating us. And uh, you know,
- 1:46:41Speaker 9: our guys battled.
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:46:42Speaker 9: We said we had to make this one a bloody one,
- 1:46:45Speaker 9: and that's what we said going to the game. We're
- 1:46:46Speaker 9: gonna have to make this one to fight, and they're
- 1:46:48Speaker 9: gonna fight, but we're gonna have to continue to throw punches.
- 1:46:50Speaker 9: And our guys did a good job.
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: Coach Freeman, you are you were a defensive mind. Talk
- 1:46:55Speaker 1: about how your defense has gotten better throughout the season.
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: Obviously you play a couple of tough games at the
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: top of Texas A and m and Miami and the playoff,
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: like all the speak of you know, these are clearly
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: Miami or Miami and Texas AM are good football teams.
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: Clearly they're toward the top. They're both in the top ten.
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: So you can sit there and talk about, you know, hey,
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: we give up this many points, but it's against quality teams.
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: But as a defensive mind yourself, when you're actually in
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: the defensive rooms and you're challenging your defense to get better,
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: how have you seen that progress throughout the season, because
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: you guys have been very opportunistic, especially in the second
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: half these last few games, getting as many interceptions as
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: you guys have talk about how you guys have kind
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: of challenged the defense not seen the game. Hey, yes,
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: they are a good football team. They put up you
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: know whatever, Miami and Texas and both score. But you
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: guys know in house like we are a better football
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: team than what we're showing.
- 1:47:45Speaker 9: Yeah. I think that's the most important thing, as you
- 1:47:48Speaker 9: just stated, is you have to own the performance right
- 1:47:51Speaker 9: and that if we make excuses and we say here's what,
- 1:47:55Speaker 9: there's two trains of thoughts. You could say, Okay, we
- 1:47:57Speaker 9: lost the first game by three, law the second game
- 1:48:00Speaker 9: by one, or you can say, no, we were rowing
- 1:48:02Speaker 9: too and uh, we had to improve defensively, and our
- 1:48:07Speaker 9: guys owned it, which I knew they would they owned it.
- 1:48:09Speaker 9: Our coaches owned it. And when you own it, now
- 1:48:12Speaker 9: you can really have the capacity to understand there's answers,
- 1:48:15Speaker 9: there's things we have to do to get better. But
- 1:48:17Speaker 9: if we never own it and we start passing blame,
- 1:48:20Speaker 9: then there's no capacity to understand. We got to get better,
- 1:48:22Speaker 9: and so that's what they did. We had to coach better.
- 1:48:26Speaker 9: We had a couple young guys and new spots that
- 1:48:29Speaker 9: had to improve in and part of that improvement takes experience.
- 1:48:34Speaker 9: But we had to continue to create clarity amongst what
- 1:48:38Speaker 9: we're asking our guys to do, and uh then they've
- 1:48:41Speaker 9: been out being able to go out there and play
- 1:48:43Speaker 9: with some velocity that it takes to uh improve on defense.
- 1:48:47Speaker 2: Talk to me about the growth of c J. Car
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: Mays his first start at the University of Miami. You
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: see flashes of like, oh, this kid can be very
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: special if he is he starts as a starting quarterback
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: going oh in too, and he seemed to be a
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: guy that now is someone you can actually lean on
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: when it comes to an offensive game plan. Standpoint. Talk
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: about CJ. Carr and how ridiculous it was at the
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: University of Michigan didn't offer him because his dad, his
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: grandfather's lot car.
- 1:49:14Speaker 9: Yeah. I mean you go back to even when we
- 1:49:16Speaker 9: recruited him for a kid that grew up in in Arbor,
- 1:49:19Speaker 9: Michigan and uh you know has his last name and
- 1:49:22Speaker 9: the legacy for him to choose to go to Notre Dame. Uh,
- 1:49:26Speaker 9: it tells you a lot about who he is. He
- 1:49:28Speaker 9: is a unbelievable talented quarterback. But he has this trait
- 1:49:34Speaker 9: uh competitiveness leadership, uh that that very few people have.
- 1:49:39Speaker 9: And we probably put restraints surrounding the first half of
- 1:49:44Speaker 9: Game one and try and then that halftime we said, okay,
- 1:49:46Speaker 9: we got to let him run this offense and be
- 1:49:48Speaker 9: the quarterback and let him, uh let it fly with
- 1:49:51Speaker 9: the ball. And now you've seen the growth right his
- 1:49:54Speaker 9: his ability to really see what defenses are doing, put
- 1:49:58Speaker 9: our offense in the right position, run checks, pass checks, protections.
- 1:50:04Speaker 9: He has got a high ceiling and he is truly
- 1:50:08Speaker 9: elevating with urgency is what I like to tell him, Like,
- 1:50:11Speaker 9: you're getting better fast, and the challenge is continuously doing that, right,
- 1:50:15Speaker 9: how do I continuously find ways to improve? But there's
- 1:50:19Speaker 9: a lot of confidence in this program when you have CJ.
- 1:50:22Speaker 9: Car as your quarterback.
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: Yeah, honestly has been impressive. Hopefully he's not listening to
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: this so he doesn't believe all the rat poison out there.
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: But to that point of the first game, it's like,
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: I remember I was favoring Notre Dame in the game,
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: thinking it's going to be trenches, it's gonna be run game,
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: defense is gonna show up. But when you watch that game,
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: it's like a couple of takeaways that I had, It's like, Yo,
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: this CJ. Car kid is honestly nice, Like Miami did
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: a good job shutting down the run and just seeing
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: how the offensive line, defensive line, how that game played out.
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: I remember walking away being like, yo, I think this CJ.
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: Car kid is going to be a dude, because correct
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong. He was in basically a QB
- 1:50:55Speaker 1: competition all the way up until the opener. I mean,
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: do you know that you were gonna have that out
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: of him because you talked about game plan at first,
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: Hey first have it kind of restricted him a little
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: bit and say, hey, we're gonna we're gonna need to
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: open him up. Were you what are the things like
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: the factor that you were seeing that you knew you
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: were probably gonna get with him when you did take
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: the training wheels off.
- 1:51:14Speaker 9: Yeah, I think as I look at the fall camp,
- 1:51:17Speaker 9: and it was a great battle. Right, Kenny Mention is
- 1:51:19Speaker 9: our backup quarterback that's ultra talented. And what you never
- 1:51:23Speaker 9: saw one of the two quarterbacks do is just leave
- 1:51:27Speaker 9: the other one right and just say this is my
- 1:51:29Speaker 9: position and I'm gonna just be the guy. And each
- 1:51:33Speaker 9: of them had a really good day, bad day, good day.
- 1:51:35Speaker 9: And you know, I think at times he's such a
- 1:51:38Speaker 9: competitor when I talk about CJ Di that he was
- 1:51:42Speaker 9: competing with Kenny instead of competing with himself. And finally,
- 1:51:46Speaker 9: when we made that decision to say, okay, hey, CJ's
- 1:51:49Speaker 9: gonna be the guy, you kind of saw this weight
- 1:51:52Speaker 9: lifted off of his shoulders and now he could truly
- 1:51:55Speaker 9: focus on being the quarterback, not worrying about a competition.
- 1:51:58Speaker 9: And now you could let him utilize his skill sets
- 1:52:01Speaker 9: that he has. And so I think with any first
- 1:52:04Speaker 9: time starter, you want to be cautious on how much
- 1:52:07Speaker 9: you put on his plate versus a good defense like Miami.
- 1:52:10Speaker 9: But I remember at halftime, we just had that conversation,
- 1:52:13Speaker 9: say hey, let him make the calls. Let him make
- 1:52:15Speaker 9: the checks and let him throw it if he feels
- 1:52:18Speaker 9: like it's there, and to hand it off if we
- 1:52:21Speaker 9: need to get the ball to Jay Love or Jedarian,
- 1:52:23Speaker 9: give him the ball. But I knew we had to
- 1:52:26Speaker 9: put more on his plate and let him lead and
- 1:52:28Speaker 9: let him go.
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: I want to talk about the man Marcus Freeman for
- 1:52:31Speaker 2: a second. You go to the university of the Ohio
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: State University. You are hired internally after Brian Kelly leaves
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: two years ago. We were actually at the game Notre
- 1:52:40Speaker 2: Dame in Ohio State where I believe you guys had
- 1:52:43Speaker 2: ten minute on the field. Ryan Day, he's yelling at
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: a fake lou Holt. He's not yelling at a fake
- 1:52:46Speaker 2: Lou Holts. Whole bunch of things are going on. And
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: then fast forward to a year later, you're playing in
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: the National Championship against your alma mater. For you, emotionally,
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: what is it like when you see the Ohio State
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: University and they're on the opposing sideline A guy who
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: used to play there.
- 1:53:02Speaker 9: Yeah, I think the first time, the first time I
- 1:53:05Speaker 9: actually played Ohio State, I was defense coordinator at Cincinnati
- 1:53:09Speaker 9: and that was unique going into Ohio Stadium. First time
- 1:53:13Speaker 9: I've been back, and probably since I played, or actually
- 1:53:16Speaker 9: the year I gad there. And then my first true
- 1:53:20Speaker 9: game is the head coach here in twenty twenty two,
- 1:53:23Speaker 9: we played at Ohio State, and that probably was personally emotional.
- 1:53:28Speaker 9: You're looking or I mean, it's different. This is your
- 1:53:30Speaker 9: first real game I coached the head coach of the
- 1:53:32Speaker 9: bowl game. But this is the first game of the
- 1:53:34Speaker 9: twenty two season, and you know, you still don't know
- 1:53:37Speaker 9: what you know. But then we play them again the
- 1:53:39Speaker 9: following year at Notre Dame, and then we play them
- 1:53:41Speaker 9: last year in the National Championship, and then all this
- 1:53:44Speaker 9: sudden becomes an opponent, right, it becomes there's not a
- 1:53:47Speaker 9: Ohio State former player. It's like, Okay, how do I
- 1:53:50Speaker 9: lead this team that I'm in charge of leading to
- 1:53:55Speaker 9: win a game versus a really talented team. And so
- 1:53:59Speaker 9: I think the sperience of the first two times I
- 1:54:01Speaker 9: played Ohio State as a coordinator and as a head
- 1:54:04Speaker 9: coach helped me understand like, this isn't personal, This has
- 1:54:08Speaker 9: nothing to do with where I went to school. This
- 1:54:10Speaker 9: is personal for me to make sure I lead this
- 1:54:13Speaker 9: team to be as well prepared for this opponent as
- 1:54:15Speaker 9: I can you know.
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: Too, like he was a player, so you can only
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: imagine going up and get your own monitor. Like the
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: first two times, it's probably insanely personal, like, hey, I'm
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: gonna get these boys, right.
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: We all had we all have that moment in our
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: careers where it's like the main character syndrome kind of
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: takes over a little bit and you're like, I'm gonna
- 1:54:31Speaker 2: get these guys, and everyone knows I'm gonna get there
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: if I'm walking.
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: Into Husker Stadium like I'm one, Okay, I'm not their guy.
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: Let me show them why?
- 1:54:39Speaker 2: Yeah, why made me their guy? At one point?
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: No, that's true, coach man, I've been a big fan
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: of yours for a long time and it goes back
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: to that uh that video when you got introduced as
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: the head coach as somebody who absolutely loved my strength
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: and conditioning coach James Dobson at Nebraska and being a
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: defensive guy myself and love seeing defensive minds like as
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: head coaches, like seeing that reaction from the players that
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: moment to where you were the guy. It's just it's
- 1:55:06Speaker 1: an energy that it's just like you don't know unless
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: you're just in there and you know, so from that moment,
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: I've always rooted for you, take me to win. Now
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: that you have three years of experience, what do you
- 1:55:15Speaker 1: feel like you've learned as the head coach of a
- 1:55:18Speaker 1: program like Notre Dame, especially from that moment to where
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: even though BK left, it seemed like every player and
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: everybody in that building was so damn fired up that
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: you were going to be the face and you were
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: going to be the guy leading the Irish. Yeah.
- 1:55:32Speaker 9: I mean, that's a moment that you know, obviously means
- 1:55:36Speaker 9: a lot to me. I'll cherish forever. But I think
- 1:55:41Speaker 9: now looking at this thing three years later, as you said,
- 1:55:46Speaker 9: the probably the thing I didn't know at that point
- 1:55:48Speaker 9: that experience has taught me is be grateful for the pain.
- 1:55:52Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:55:53Speaker 9: Like, nobody wants to lose, nobody envisions losing. But I've
- 1:56:00Speaker 9: learned the most personally, and I think our team and
- 1:56:04Speaker 9: our program has through the losses, through the pain, and
- 1:56:08Speaker 9: I always tell our players, man, be grateful for the pain.
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: We hate losing.
- 1:56:11Speaker 9: Losing is terrible, but at the end of the day,
- 1:56:15Speaker 9: be grateful for that pain because that's where you do
- 1:56:17Speaker 9: your most growth. And it's a reminder that the struggle.
- 1:56:21Speaker 9: The struggle has to occur to have success, and pain
- 1:56:27Speaker 9: of losing helps with that. The pain of what you
- 1:56:29Speaker 9: have to do to prepare each week, like our Tuesdays
- 1:56:32Speaker 9: and Wednesdays have to be hard and you have to
- 1:56:36Speaker 9: be uncomfortable because that's the only way to get better.
- 1:56:38Speaker 9: It's the only way to grow. And so I think
- 1:56:42Speaker 9: that's the one thing I wish I would that guy
- 1:56:44Speaker 9: right there in twenty twenty one would have known, like
- 1:56:47Speaker 9: you're going to have losses in your first two games,
- 1:56:50Speaker 9: for actually your first three games as a head coach
- 1:56:52Speaker 9: are going to lose. But it's going to help you
- 1:56:54Speaker 9: grow more than anything else. And so that's the thing
- 1:56:58Speaker 9: I continue to remind myself is now we can't keep losing, right,
- 1:57:01Speaker 9: you can't continuously lose to grow. Now we have to
- 1:57:05Speaker 9: understand what success. How do we continue to intentionally do
- 1:57:09Speaker 9: things that are uncomfortable that help us grow because you
- 1:57:13Speaker 9: can't continue to lose to say that's the only way
- 1:57:15Speaker 9: that we're going to grow, right, you have to be uncomfortable.
- 1:57:18Speaker 9: And those are the things you learned through experience.
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: With the new age of college football, it's so unique
- 1:57:25Speaker 2: with the nil stuff going on, the playoff is now twelve,
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: it was four. If you're looking at Notre Dame, you're
- 1:57:32Speaker 2: an independent school from a basketball standpoint, you're not play
- 1:57:34Speaker 2: in the ACC. And then you lose these first two games,
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: and it kind of seems like, hey, if they go
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: ten and two, the logo is going to get them in.
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: They'll probably be able to bounce over a couple of people.
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: Do you see a place where Notre Dame can find
- 1:57:47Speaker 2: themselves in a big ten or in a ACC eventually
- 1:57:51Speaker 2: to where if those you know stumble happens early in
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: the season, you'll have the resume. Well, I have no
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: doubt you guys will make the playoff for you if
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: you went out, But there's no question of a resume
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: if you go and you know, go ten and two.
- 1:58:04Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, the future of college athletics are always uncertain, right,
- 1:58:08Speaker 9: and with private equity, with what's going to happen with
- 1:58:12Speaker 9: these conferences. You know, if there's a time that Notre
- 1:58:16Speaker 9: Dame has to join a conference to ensure they can
- 1:58:21Speaker 9: have the same opportunities to make the playoffs as everybody else,
- 1:58:24Speaker 9: then I'm sure our administration will do it. Currently, the
- 1:58:28Speaker 9: administration and myself and all of us feel confident that
- 1:58:31Speaker 9: if we win the games we're supposed to win, we
- 1:58:35Speaker 9: take care of the business we're supposed to take care of,
- 1:58:37Speaker 9: then we have just as good good of a chance
- 1:58:39Speaker 9: to make the playoffs as anybody else. And so we're
- 1:58:43Speaker 9: in as we're as well positioned right now as anybody
- 1:58:46Speaker 9: we feel, but we can never put our program at
- 1:58:50Speaker 9: a disadvantage for postseason play because we're not in a conference.
- 1:58:54Speaker 9: And if that's ever the case, I'm sure we'll join
- 1:58:57Speaker 9: a conference.
- 1:58:59Speaker 1: How do you personally compartmentalize? Like, I feel like your
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: name starting to come up in conversations. You were the
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: successor Brian Kelly at Notre Dame, Brian Kelly talks about
- 1:59:08Speaker 1: him at LSU. Your name is starting to come into
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: the full with some of these big jobs. Obviously you're
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: currently at a big job. How how do you personally compartmentalize?
- 1:59:17Speaker 1: And how do you also if that noise does get loud, like,
- 1:59:20Speaker 1: how is there how are the conversations taking place like
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: with your team or if your feelings, like a feeling,
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: a vibe, it's like, how are you handling that with
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: with your football team?
- 1:59:31Speaker 9: Yeah? I think probably as I look at it, this year,
- 1:59:34Speaker 9: compared to last year. Maybe the impulsible thing that would
- 1:59:39Speaker 9: be to say, oh, no, I'm not interested. I got
- 1:59:41Speaker 9: a great job, and yeah, is that the case. Yes,
- 1:59:45Speaker 9: But you know, when I do hear a little bit
- 1:59:49Speaker 9: of the noise and I try to control the things
- 1:59:52Speaker 9: I hear, but you're people know how to text here
- 1:59:55Speaker 9: or say certain things. It's a reminder of the gratitude
- 2:00:01Speaker 9: that I have to have for the position that's programs in,
- 2:00:07Speaker 9: for the position I have, Like, that's what I reflect
- 2:00:10Speaker 9: on is that man, first of all, you your name
- 2:00:13Speaker 9: wouldn't be mentioned if your program wasn't doing really good things.
- 2:00:19Speaker 9: And the reason why we're doing really good things is
- 2:00:21Speaker 9: because everybody in the program. Right, It's not one person.
- 2:00:25Speaker 6: Right.
- 2:00:25Speaker 9: I always tell our guys, like outside of this building,
- 2:00:28Speaker 9: they're always going to point the finger at one person
- 2:00:31Speaker 9: when you have success in one person when you have failure,
- 2:00:33Speaker 9: and it's usually the head coach or quarterbacks, right, And
- 2:00:36Speaker 9: so I know the reality is it takes us off.
- 2:00:39Speaker 9: It takes every person in this program to have success.
- 2:00:42Speaker 9: And so when you have that mentality, you understand, like
- 2:00:45Speaker 9: there's a gratitude to the program that I'm that I'm
- 2:00:50Speaker 9: involved in and I'm a part of, but also the
- 2:00:54Speaker 9: opportunity I have to be the head coach here right
- 2:00:56Speaker 9: and in this position that I hold. And so that's
- 2:01:00Speaker 9: every time I hear something like I just remind myself
- 2:01:02Speaker 9: with the gratitude that I have to be in this position.
- 2:01:04Speaker 2: For sure.
- 2:01:05Speaker 1: I love that.
- 2:01:05Speaker 2: That is absolutely beautiful. Let's talk about that text saying
- 2:01:08Speaker 2: them game last play of the game. It's very clear
- 2:01:12Speaker 2: that the left guard held right. We can can we
- 2:01:14Speaker 2: all agree on that at this point, very clear that
- 2:01:17Speaker 2: you guys probably should have walked away with that win. Obviously,
- 2:01:21Speaker 2: just talking to you for a short time we've had
- 2:01:23Speaker 2: you seem like a guy that's getting compartmentalized. You're probably
- 2:01:25Speaker 2: getting a to go to a closet screen real quick.
- 2:01:27Speaker 4: Come back.
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: You know you've been a player. You can't let the
- 2:01:29Speaker 1: refs decide.
- 2:01:30Speaker 2: Don't let the refs decide the football game. What does
- 2:01:33Speaker 2: are we sending that in the next week to the
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: commissioner and be like, hey, buddy, we gotta make this
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: right somewhere or one way or another way. We gotta
- 2:01:41Speaker 2: do here, Like, what is how does that take place
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: for you as a head coach after the game.
- 2:01:45Speaker 9: Yeah, there's plays every week, you send in that you
- 2:01:48Speaker 9: send to the ACC of the head of ACC officials,
- 2:01:52Speaker 9: and you say, hey, do you agree or disagree with
- 2:01:57Speaker 9: this call? Now that game, I think we had SEC
- 2:02:01Speaker 9: if I'm not mistaken, so they probably would agree with
- 2:02:05Speaker 9: a lot of things. We say, oh, yeah, those are
- 2:02:06Speaker 9: SEC officials. We agreed they shouldn't have called it or
- 2:02:09Speaker 9: should have called it. But that's just really just to
- 2:02:12Speaker 9: get clarification on why a referee called something what they
- 2:02:17Speaker 9: called or is that the right call or not. But
- 2:02:20Speaker 9: I never ever would allow our program to use that
- 2:02:25Speaker 9: as a reason why we lost the game. You know that,
- 2:02:27Speaker 9: like so many plays within a game that we have
- 2:02:30Speaker 9: to execute, that that play wasn't the only reason we
- 2:02:34Speaker 9: lost the game.
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: It was.
- 2:02:35Speaker 9: It was a accumulation of many plays. But I just
- 2:02:39Speaker 9: don't ever want our guys to make excuses. You know,
- 2:02:41Speaker 9: we got to own We got to own the results, man,
- 2:02:43Speaker 9: and that result was because we didn't play well enough,
- 2:02:47Speaker 9: consistently right, play well parts of that game, but not enough.
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: This isn't for you to comment on, but I just personally,
- 2:02:55Speaker 1: whenever the line was six and a half and whenever
- 2:02:57Speaker 1: you guys missed the extra point, I just knew I'm like,
- 2:02:59Speaker 1: all right, something bad about that I had Notre Dame,
- 2:03:02Speaker 1: Like he missed the extra point.
- 2:03:03Speaker 2: That I happened, Like I think we all had Notre
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: Dame in that game. Yeah, something something that you can
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: comment on, because we're not going to put you in
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: a spin zone of having to go around a sports
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: gambling question. Dude. When I was at Michigan, every second
- 2:03:16Speaker 2: or third game of the year, it would be Notre
- 2:03:18Speaker 2: Dame and it was such a beautiful rivalry. And after
- 2:03:21Speaker 2: I left, you know, I don't know how many years
- 2:03:23Speaker 2: since we have played. Can we can we talk to
- 2:03:26Speaker 2: some the ad at Notre Dame? Can we do? I
- 2:03:28Speaker 2: have to go talk to Michigan. We got to get
- 2:03:30Speaker 2: that rivalry back in check. It's such it's such a
- 2:03:32Speaker 2: beautiful helmet game, same architect and made both stadiums like
- 2:03:36Speaker 2: it's it's it's almost a religious experience. Would you before
- 2:03:40Speaker 2: Michigan Notre Dame again? Oh?
- 2:03:42Speaker 9: Huge proponent? Yeah, absolutely, Like I remember growing up watching
- 2:03:46Speaker 9: Michigan play Notre Dame, right, and that is such a
- 2:03:52Speaker 9: great rivalry, and you talk about two iconic programs. I
- 2:03:57Speaker 9: would love to see that happen in if you and
- 2:04:00Speaker 9: I don't know if there's discussions. I don't know if
- 2:04:02Speaker 9: it's on our future schedule, it might be I think
- 2:04:05Speaker 9: actually now you said I Taylor, like, I think it
- 2:04:07Speaker 9: is on our schedule in like twenty thirty or something
- 2:04:10Speaker 9: like that.
- 2:04:13Speaker 1: Alive. Yes, yeah, yeah, that we have to get that
- 2:04:16Speaker 1: back to back going.
- 2:04:18Speaker 2: That'd be awesome because if you guys are gonna play
- 2:04:19Speaker 2: the Miami's, the A and M's, Like, if you're going
- 2:04:21Speaker 2: to schedule big games, it's like, why not schedule a
- 2:04:24Speaker 2: big game with some history behind it? It'd be awesome.
- 2:04:27Speaker 1: Absolutely, Coach, I want to have some fun, So, uh,
- 2:04:31Speaker 1: what are some fun things that you do with the
- 2:04:33Speaker 1: guys and the hard, monotonous parts of the season, Because again,
- 2:04:36Speaker 1: if I think back to the video where I'm fired
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: up for you, it's like, guys don't get juice like that.
- 2:04:41Speaker 1: You know as a player too, like when you have
- 2:04:43Speaker 1: a coach that you just ride for, they do something
- 2:04:46Speaker 1: that makes that makes the game fun or the hard
- 2:04:48Speaker 1: times fun. Maybe it's it's dancers or something. Before a
- 2:04:51Speaker 1: team meeting, like, what are things that coach Freeman does
- 2:04:54Speaker 1: with this team to have fun or keep them on
- 2:04:56Speaker 1: their toes? They're like they think this is going to
- 2:04:58Speaker 1: be a barn burner today. But I'm gonna pull this
- 2:05:00Speaker 1: out on them.
- 2:05:02Speaker 9: One of the things is just it just popped in
- 2:05:04Speaker 9: my head because we're gonna have a team meeting here
- 2:05:06Speaker 9: in about five minutes, and so I usually show wise
- 2:05:10Speaker 9: men plays, right. I always say, you know, we'll take
- 2:05:13Speaker 9: plays from other teams other games that we have to
- 2:05:16Speaker 9: be wise men. We have to learn from the mistakes
- 2:05:18Speaker 9: of others. But every so often there's plays, uh for
- 2:05:22Speaker 9: examples of us, our own guys probably not being wise men.
- 2:05:27Speaker 2: And you know the boy, you know the boys, Yeah
- 2:05:30Speaker 2: something pull from an Instagram story or something like that.
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: Yeah, well we got one.
- 2:05:34Speaker 9: I didn't know this. So I get a call from
- 2:05:37Speaker 9: my wife last night and she said, yeah, the boys
- 2:05:40Speaker 9: we have we have three kids twelve and three boys
- 2:05:44Speaker 9: twelve and under. And she said they were doing uh
- 2:05:47Speaker 9: something where they were thrusting the floor and I'm like,
- 2:05:50Speaker 9: what are you talking about?
- 2:05:51Speaker 1: She said.
- 2:05:51Speaker 9: I went up to the boy, said what are you
- 2:05:52Speaker 9: guys doing? They said, this is the Jay Love celebration. Said,
- 2:05:58Speaker 9: she said, whoa, that's totally inappropriate. And so I had
- 2:06:02Speaker 9: the clip sent to me because I didn't even know
- 2:06:04Speaker 9: this happened, and uh he there he was celebrating. There
- 2:06:08Speaker 9: he was in the end zone. So I'm gonna make
- 2:06:11Speaker 9: sure that gets into our wise Men plays today.
- 2:06:14Speaker 1: Oh I love that.
- 2:06:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you need to play that clip and then just
- 2:06:18Speaker 2: have a still photo for your kids and be like,
- 2:06:20Speaker 2: this is who you're affecting. Handle this business out here
- 2:06:23Speaker 2: all right. Well, it takes a village to raise kid.
- 2:06:25Speaker 1: You know, he's just gonna sit there with the clicker too,
- 2:06:27Speaker 1: just rewinding it over and over.
- 2:06:30Speaker 2: Don't say nothing, just let him laugh and then let
- 2:06:32Speaker 2: him get real quiet. Yeah, coach, we know you got
- 2:06:34Speaker 2: to go to your team, and we really appreciate you
- 2:06:36Speaker 2: coming on the show. We got to get you on
- 2:06:38Speaker 2: the seat one day or maybe we come out of
- 2:06:40Speaker 2: ned him.
- 2:06:40Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 2:06:41Speaker 2: We're gonna keep this relationship rolling in a big way.
- 2:06:43Speaker 2: Appreciate you getting right, Afoss Mark Extream.
- 2:06:47Speaker 9: Appreciate you guys.
- 2:06:48Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:06:48Speaker 3: Appreciate here in South Bend.
- 2:06:51Speaker 1: We will come good luck the rest of the way.
- 2:06:53Speaker 9: Thanks brother, Appreciate you guys.
- 2:06:55Speaker 1: Yes, sir,
