  [SPEAKER_03]: It's just been announced that Paramount has settled the anti-trust lawsuit brought by California Attorney General Rob Bonta and 11 other states clearing a major obstacle to its takeover of Warner Bros.

  [SPEAKER_03]: The transaction has been described as an 81 billion dollar mega merger and it would play CNN and CBS news under the same corporate roof.

  [SPEAKER_03]: He attended Trump's state of the Union, as Senator Lindsey Graham's gas, and he reportedly assured administration officials that CNN would indeed be undergoing sweeping changes of Paramount acquired it.

  [SPEAKER_03]: Now, as for their parts, CNN employees, including their anchors, reportedly are complaining that they're being kept completely in the dark with all of this.

  [SPEAKER_03]: The staffers fear paramount is going to remake CNN in a manner comparable to how they remade CBS news after installing Barry Weiss, who many liberals accuse of accommodating the Trump administration in the light.

  [SPEAKER_03]: The now fired CNN host Jim Acosta's warning that David Ellison is already planning on doing Trump's bidding.

  [SPEAKER_03]: that she would leave CNN the very moment that this Paramount deal went through and so upon news of the acquisition being approved, she went on her podcast that nobody listens to and she unleashed a profanity-laced attack against her new bosses and said she would never, ever, ever work for them.

  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you heard that right, newspaper circulation in the United States as of today is that it's lowest levels since World War II.

  [SPEAKER_03]: And when you look at every single major study on the perceived trustworthyness in the media over the last 20 years, there's simply no denying that trust in the legacy media has declined with every single passing year.

  [SPEAKER_03]: and a recent report from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford, and it found note to no surprise to us.

  [SPEAKER_03]: But it did confirm that the US media is in point of fact, the single least trusted media in the entire world out of 46 countries surveyed.

  [SPEAKER_03]: The study was conducted between a two-month period and involved nearly 100,000 recipients to measure their level of trust and confidence in the respective news media and the US legacy media was at the very bottom.

  [SPEAKER_03]: And so things are just going from bad to worse for CNN.
