- 0:11Rappin week, we're going to take you through to build an audience
- 0:14of buyers mastering your marketing and making that
- 0:17convert consistency while on the inside.
- 0:24What a fun was the ultimate competitive advantage.
- 0:30My friends, it is welcome back to amplify your marketing
- 0:34message. I am your host, Christine
- 0:35Campbell Rappin and I am here to raise a flag and invite you to
- 0:40bring the fun back into your business.
- 0:44I see so many long faces in that struggle to entrepreneurship
- 0:49that it's a lonely Rd. that I never get a holiday, that it is
- 0:53the grind, blah blah blah blah. Is that you my friend?
- 0:58If so, this is a giant life raft and a wake up call because that
- 1:04is not the only way to play, it's not the way I play and I
- 1:09want to invite you to have a heck of a lot more fun in your
- 1:14business. If you have been following us on
- 1:16social media, you can find me on all platforms at
- 1:19christinecampbellrappin.com. You will know that we play a lot
- 1:24in our business. We choose our clients, we choose
- 1:29where we do business, we choose the hours we work and fun is a
- 1:34non negotiable and I think that this is something you need to
- 1:38slow down and evaluate. I'm a Canadian, some of you
- 1:43might know this, some of you might find that as new
- 1:45information and I live in a place that has snow.
- 1:48Shocking right? Canadians who have snow.
- 1:51Well, I live in a place and I do love to ski, but truthfully
- 1:54winters are long period of time and as a result of that I always
- 2:00find ways to enjoy the sunshine in those long winter months,
- 2:05which means for us at the start of every year we go in an event
- 2:09called the marketers cruise. This is an event that in 2027
- 2:13will have it's 20th anniversary and it is an exceptional room to
- 2:19be in. We go spend 8 or 9 days S on a
- 2:25cruise with 400 plus entrepreneurs looking for
- 2:29collaborations, looking to learn new skills, looking to be
- 2:33inspired and yes, to play, break bread and have fun with others
- 2:39who are in the world of entrepreneurship.
- 2:41And next year, if you want to come along, I want you to just
- 2:44note right now message me on any platform you like or an e-mail.
- 2:48Hello at Christine gamblewrapping.com and they tell
- 2:51me about the Marketers Cruise because I would love to have you
- 2:54join us. But after the Marketers Cruise,
- 2:56we're not done playing with entrepreneurs in beautiful
- 2:59locations. We also are part of the San Juan
- 3:02Social Club crews, which goes out in March that always goes
- 3:07through the Caribbean. It is a ton of play and this
- 3:10past year we had over 500 entrepreneurs, everything from
- 3:14real estate to crypto to investment to philanthropy into
- 3:18emerging entrepreneurs. And again, a room to learn,
- 3:22grow, connect and chill. Bring the fun back into
- 3:27business. Because I think you need to hear
- 3:30that while it's my life and we can be a great role model, it
- 3:33has the potential to be your life too.
- 3:37We spend so much time thinking about the positioning and the
- 3:42messaging and ensuring that everything ticks the box.
- 3:47Is that enough to pull and inspire your next client?
- 3:52From the weeds in the wilderness to here's my credit card, I want
- 3:56to be part of what you're creating.
- 3:58I want to learn from you and I want to have the lifestyle that
- 4:01you have because if not, you are missing something critical and a
- 4:07unique competitive advantage. Many years ago when I was first
- 4:12looking to hire my first mentor, a big part of my personal
- 4:17assessment was not just do they have great business skills, not
- 4:21just did they have knowledge that they could share and a
- 4:24philosophy and a way a strategy to build business that was in
- 4:28alignment with what I personally wanted.
- 4:30I looked at them holistically. I looked at them from the
- 4:34perspective of do they have strong relationships outside of
- 4:38the business? Because to me, yes, I absolutely
- 4:41love building a business. It feels like oxygen, but it is
- 4:44one facet of the things that light me up as a human being.
- 4:49So I look to the mentors and said who has great relationships
- 4:52with their partner? Who has correlated relationships
- 4:55and time away from their business?
- 4:58Who enjoys the perks that they have created with the financial
- 5:02abundance they have created. Who has and makes time for
- 5:07relationships, both the loud ones and big moments when you
- 5:10can be there to watch some big moment in time, but also the
- 5:13small quiet moments. That said, you have access to my
- 5:16phone number. I will make a proactive approach
- 5:20to you because I see you as not a transaction, but as a person I
- 5:25want to connect with, I care for, and I want to build
- 5:29memories with. And to me, that meant that lens.
- 5:32That holistic lens meant I decluttered a whole bunch of
- 5:37people from contention because we do know many people who have
- 5:42one element of their life rocking, but so many tweet that
- 5:50goal as one that is needed to be traded.
- 5:54So if you're great at business, you suck at family.
- 5:56If you're great at family, you can't prioritize building a
- 5:59business. And my friends, I don't believe
- 6:02that at all at all. I think we have the capacity to
- 6:07expand. And so when moments of fun get
- 6:10presented, I always look at how do I say I can participate?
- 6:17And if I'm not having enough fun or I think the wrong
- 6:19conversations are happening, it is up to me.
- 6:22And I take that personal leadership on to say, Christine,
- 6:25that you need to curate it. And so my Business Today is a
- 6:29wild reflection that having fun isn't a trade.
- 6:33Having a great business doesn't mean I don't have a great
- 6:35marriage, a great relationship with my bonus kids, a great
- 6:38relationship with my parents and all the other people that matter
- 6:41to me. I am expanding abundance.
- 6:45I'm expanding the quality relationships and I, yes, have
- 6:49fueled by great economic ability because they have a business
- 6:52that's rocking and others gravitate towards that.
- 6:56It's just a natural byproduct. But instead of just focusing on
- 7:01one lens, I want you to look at how are you showing up
- 7:05holistically and do you need to bring more fun back into it?
- 7:10Because positioning and messaging is one part of it, but
- 7:12positioning and messaging of the lifestyle of your values, of
- 7:17your philosophies is what people hire you for.
- 7:21And I know, I know because I hired for that when I was
- 7:24looking for my first mentors. And every mentor I've hired
- 7:27since gets measured against the holistic look of do they love
- 7:30the life they have, not just the business they have.
- 7:34And I also know that people look at that when they're vetting me
- 7:37and they're betting clear Acceleration Inc, the company
- 7:40that I represent, own founded. And of course that fuels this
- 7:44podcast. People look at the fact that I
- 7:48spend weekends not working. Most weekends I have people that
- 7:53come to me saying I want to be on the marketers cruise with
- 7:55you. I want to know what the San Juan
- 7:57Social Club is. I want to know how you're
- 7:59speaking internationally and in other places.
- 8:02And I want to know how you're doing it because I aspire to
- 8:05that lifestyle. And just a couple of weeks ago,
- 8:09I spent 2 1/2 weeks on cruise ships with other entrepreneurs.
- 8:14I ran my business from there. That left up lifestyle that you
- 8:17saw on social media doesn't happen to have a lot of bikinis
- 8:22in my world. It's just being honest.
- 8:25But it does have great poolside, great beachside, great laptop
- 8:29lifestyle moments. And so I supported global
- 8:34clients all week on the cruise ship.
- 8:38I had inspiration around me in rooms I felt a little
- 8:43intimidated by, if I might be honest.
- 8:46And I also could hear mentors in my headset.
- 8:48You belong in that room. And when I was talking to
- 8:51clients and they're like, where are you?
- 8:53It's a comment common phrase. When clients meet me, they're
- 8:56like, oh, I recognize the artwork isn't the one from your
- 8:59house where I run my business, where are you?
- 9:02And it's always a different story.
- 9:04And then I said to them, I happen to be somewhere in the
- 9:07ocean, somewhere between X point and Y.
- 9:11I could watch them say, I want that and lean into I know I'm on
- 9:17my way to getting it. And I want to share the story
- 9:21with my client Laura, because Laura's worked with me for now,
- 9:27I would say about 10 months. She's taken two different
- 9:30programs, our group program, which is now momentum to
- 9:33millions and she isn't a momentum builders program now,
- 9:35which is accelerated accountability for the
- 9:39foundations she built in the first program.
- 9:41And she has had two moments in 2026 already where having fun
- 9:48wasn't a trade anymore. It was, I get to do this, I can
- 9:54do this. And I'm loving that.
- 9:56I'm building a lifestyle that I feel feels like oxygen.
- 10:00First one is that she's a great big skier.
- 10:03And she's like, I can go on a ski trip for a week and still
- 10:06support my business and still recognize that playtime is key.
- 10:10But I can be talking about my business in conversations with
- 10:13social groups that I might not normally cross paths with.
- 10:17And somebody might know somebody that becomes a domino, a
- 10:21stepping stone for a conversation I would not have
- 10:24had if I'd said I need to stay home because I have to build my
- 10:27business. She could see that trip as an
- 10:30extension. Fast forward a couple of months.
- 10:34Her mother was spending time down South in the Caribbean, and
- 10:37she said, I think I could both support my mom, who is, like
- 10:42many of us, an aging senior, and I could run my business from
- 10:46there. And she said yes to that fun
- 10:51factor. And so she said, Christine, I'm
- 10:53going to be working here. We might need to adjust our
- 10:55times a little because of what she wanted to do from a play
- 10:59perspective, which I was completely fine to adapt to.
- 11:02And she said I could learn to be effective while I had the life I
- 11:08wanted. And I want you to hear that
- 11:10because the goal is, are you being effective and are you
- 11:14being expensive? Because capacity is always a
- 11:17solvable problem. And you need to stop thinking to
- 11:21have one, you must sacrifice the other.
- 11:23I'm not saying there's not effort and timelines and a
- 11:28runway, which what she realized, what Laura realized was that I
- 11:32could spend 2 hours really effective using the skills and
- 11:36tools that we have been building for the last 10 months as part
- 11:38of our support for her as a client to build a business where
- 11:42she could still have offers, go out, still have clients say yes,
- 11:46still have her social media happening and still have a very
- 11:49clear path for what I call re entry.
- 11:52When you leave a domestic laptop moment, laptop lifestyle moment,
- 11:57go back into Home Office. And that's an important piece of
- 12:00the puzzle because we have different speeds when we're
- 12:06playing. And I think so often we think
- 12:12it's good for other people. I want to cast your imagination
- 12:16today to say what if it's good for you?
- 12:19Because I really do believe that having fun is an ultimate
- 12:22competitive advantage. People do business with people.
- 12:24People want to say I like these people.
- 12:26I want to aspire to be having memories and fun times with
- 12:31these people because it is more than about checking the boxes.
- 12:36So many people look at this as do I have value in my offer?
- 12:39Check. Do I have a clear result in my
- 12:42message? Check.
- 12:44Do I have the right audience? I hope the answer, my friends,
- 12:47if you've been listening to this podcast for a while, is that
- 12:50you're saying Jack. But I want to ask you this, does
- 12:55the value, the result, the audience come together to create
- 13:02an experience, confidence that they want to jump in?
- 13:08And for me that it comes down to, is it exciting?
- 13:15Do I get anticipation, those butterflies in my stomach about
- 13:19the lived experience on the other side?
- 13:22Do I have in the weight of evaluation a balance where I'm
- 13:28saying whatever the investment is in time, money, bandwidth,
- 13:32skills, learning, discomfort? Is it worth it?
- 13:38And I will tell you this, I had a single goal going into this
- 13:42calendar year. I want to say more often, and I
- 13:45say it a heck of a lot more than most, I love my life.
- 13:50I love the clients I choose. I love the conversations I step
- 13:55into. I love the investment in
- 13:57communities, in great fun experiences with other
- 14:01entrepreneurs. And when I see the gap I created
- 14:04I created and things like turn on our client waterfall event
- 14:06that we run throughout the year, I want it to be fun.
- 14:11I want the choices I make to be worth it.
- 14:15And if the fun isn't there, that worth it?
- 14:17Equation fatigues because we can rationalize that you know that
- 14:22doing the work and doing the hustle will be one day worth it.
- 14:26But what if you actually didn't have a one day philosophy?
- 14:29You had a yes in the big scheme. One day they'll be a big moment.
- 14:34But what if we actually had fun in the small moments?
- 14:36And so again, if you're following me on social media,
- 14:39not only did you know that you should be playing with us on the
- 14:42Marketers Cruise and you should be playing with us in the San
- 14:44Juan Social Club, you also know that we celebrate a lot.
- 14:48We celebrate our wins when new clients come on board because it
- 14:52is a beginning, a partnership and a moment of great launch.
- 14:57But we are also celebrating our clients who said, you know, my
- 15:00goal is that I have not just a great business, but I have a
- 15:02great family life. And I know I shared the story of
- 15:06Laura, but Laura and Dan were in a program together and Dan is in
- 15:09the same place as Laura is, and his vision just looks a little
- 15:13different. Last year on Christmas Eve, he
- 15:18sent me a photo. And I have this cardinal rule
- 15:21with all my clients. Anytime you're celebrating
- 15:23something, you text me, send me a message.
- 15:25I don't care when it is. I want to be in that moment with
- 15:28you because I want fun, to be part of the experience.
- 15:32And he had set a goal when we started with him last May that
- 15:36if I could create this outcome, I would have this specific
- 15:41reward. The specific reward was family
- 15:43time. Family time and making memories
- 15:45with his daughter, who is a young preteen.
- 15:49And they sent me a picture of the family together in New York
- 15:53City, skating in Rockefeller Centre.
- 15:55And he said we made it. I want you to have that kind of
- 15:59experience in your business. We're fun is the ultimate
- 16:02competitive. And you're saying we made it,
- 16:05I'm creating it. It is a value, a result and an
- 16:09audience. But with people I can't wait to
- 16:11play with, can't wait to do memories with.
- 16:13And when you're working, because yes, effort is part of the plan,
- 16:17you're sure it's worth it. Because without the fun factor,
- 16:25while it may be a technically sound offer, it is flat.
- 16:29It is one-dimensional, but the business I have is not
- 16:34one-dimensional. If you follow or step in or
- 16:37you're a regular subscriber here, you know that it's
- 16:40magnetic. We're having fun.
- 16:43We pull people who want to have fun, and because that's how we
- 16:49roll. I will tell you create
- 16:52byproduct, we have clients that move faster, we move faster.
- 17:00We look at an opportunity and don't think what do I trade, but
- 17:04do I have to balance and give and take.
- 17:06We think how can we expand into it?
- 17:08And as a result it clicks and we don't find ourselves convincing
- 17:16because I have a cardinal rule. If you want to work with us, you
- 17:19will choose to do that. My job is to make you the offer.
- 17:23Your job is to decide, do I keep my problem or do I solve my
- 17:26problem? And so I have one simple goal.
- 17:29I get out of bed every day with this intention.
- 17:32I invite people to choose themselves.
- 17:36I invite you to step into a business where you are a
- 17:40category, one where how you see life, how you play, who you play
- 17:44with is a differentiator in the marketplace.
- 17:47Doesn't have to be this complicated, my friends, because
- 17:51there's a very big difference. You've heard the term having an
- 17:54irresistible offer. It is very different when you're
- 17:59in the irresistible energy. But I want to invite you to
- 18:03challenge you to don't just think about the offer being
- 18:05irresistible. Think about your business being
- 18:08in the irresistible partner that people want to play with.
- 18:12And I am so proud that I know we create that because I hear it
- 18:16from Dan, I hear it from Laura, I hear it from friends and
- 18:20collaborative partners that say you are living the life I want
- 18:23and my invitation is always the same.
- 18:26Then come join us. Come to the events we do.
- 18:29Come be part of the event, I curate, come be a client because
- 18:33this what we have, I teach this what we have, I role model and I
- 18:41know there's a whole new level of play ahead.
- 18:45We're already booked for 2027 because we have confidence we
- 18:48can get there, do it, expand with it and bring some cool
- 18:52people with us. So my friends, this is my
- 18:55invitation to you. Are you having enough fun in
- 19:00your business? If the answer is not a heck yes,
- 19:04Christine, I love my life, then you have one task right now.
- 19:12Send me a message, Let's have a conversation and let's ignite
- 19:16that engine because your business, your family, your
- 19:22community will be enriched when you're having a lot more fun and
- 19:28a lot more success and a lot more mutual wins.
- 19:31So let's do that. Christine Cavill rappings how
- 19:33you reach me. I can't wait to have that
- 19:35conversation. My friends, it is go time.
- 19:38Let's play together. I'll see you soon.
- 19:45That's a wrap on another amazing episode of amplify marketing
- 19:48message with me. You're hosting Campbell rap and
- 19:50be sure to support your favorite popcorn so you don't miss an
- 19:54episode. And it's it Christine Campbell
