Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Ye earl the morning praise party.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I am Sherry Mackie in its time, right now for
- 0:06Speaker 2: today's word.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Choose your attitude. Choose your attitude.
- 0:11Speaker 2: One Corinthians fifteen fifty eight says, Therefore, my beloved brethren,
- 0:15Speaker 2: be steadfast, immovable, always abouting in the work of the Lord,
- 0:19Speaker 2: knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
- 0:24Speaker 2: You know. One of the greatest signs of spiritual maturity
- 0:27Speaker 2: is not how loudly we worship, how much scripture we know,
- 0:30Speaker 2: or even how long we've been walking with God. One
- 0:34Speaker 2: of the clearest signs of maturity is learning how to
- 0:36Speaker 2: remain steady regardless of what's happening around us.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Life has a way of testing our attitudes.
- 0:43Speaker 2: We encounter disappointments, delays, difficult people, unexpected setbacks, as stressful situations.
- 0:50Speaker 2: When things don't go our way, it's easy to become irritable, frustrated,
- 0:54Speaker 2: or negative. If we're not careful, our moves can begin
- 0:57Speaker 2: to control our actions, our words, and even and our relationships.
- 1:01Speaker 2: The Apostle Paul encourages us to be steadfast and immovable.
- 1:05Speaker 1: In other words, don't let.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Every circumstance determine your disposition. Don't let every inconvenience still
- 1:12Speaker 2: your joy. Don't let every challenge rob you of your peace.
- 1:16Speaker 2: The truth is everyone has difficult days, everyone faces moments
- 1:21Speaker 2: of frustration. But mature believers learn that they don't have
- 1:24Speaker 2: to follow every feeling that comes their way. Feelings are real,
- 1:28Speaker 2: but they are not always right. You may feel discouraged,
- 1:32Speaker 2: but you can choose hope. You may feel irritated, but
- 1:35Speaker 2: you can choose patience.
- 1:36Speaker 1: You may feel disappointed, but you can choose gratitude.
- 1:40Speaker 2: A good attitude is not based on perfect circumstances. It's
- 1:44Speaker 2: based on a deliberate decision to trust God. No matter
- 1:48Speaker 2: what think about the impact of a consistently positive spirit,
- 1:53Speaker 2: people are drawn to those who are encouraging. Kind and
- 1:56Speaker 2: stable families thrive when members know what to expect from
- 2:00Speaker 2: one another. Workplace is improved when someone brings peace instead
- 2:04Speaker 2: of tention. Friendships grow stronger when people can count on
- 2:09Speaker 2: your character rather than wonder which.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Mood is gonna show up today.
- 2:13Speaker 2: See this doesn't mean pretending problems don't exist. It means
- 2:17Speaker 2: refusing to allow problems to control you. Every day presents
- 2:21Speaker 2: a choice. You can allow circumstances to dictate your attitude.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Or you can let your faiths determine your response.
- 2:29Speaker 2: When you choose joy over complaining, peace over anxiety, and
- 2:32Speaker 2: gratitude over negativity, you're demonstrating that God is greater than
- 2:37Speaker 2: whatever you're facing today. Make the decision to be steadfast,
- 2:41Speaker 2: Make the decision to be pleasant, encouraging, and faith feeled.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Not because everything is perfect, but because God is still
- 2:49Speaker 2: on the throne. A good attitude may not change every
- 2:52Speaker 2: situation immediately, but it will change how you walk through
- 2:56Speaker 2: that situation, and often that's where the break through begins.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Oh Father, thank you for being faithful, steady, unchanging in
- 3:05Speaker 2: every season.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Of our lives.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Help us to develop a mature spirit that is not
- 3:09Speaker 2: controlled by our feelings or circumstances. Give us the strength
- 3:12Speaker 2: to choose joy when it's difficult, peace when we're pressured,
- 3:16Speaker 2: in gratitude when challenges arise. God, let our attitude reflect
- 3:20Speaker 2: your goodness and become a blessing to everyone around us. God,
- 3:24Speaker 2: we choose today to be steadfast and movable and full.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Of faith in Jesus' name.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Now that you work for today, take an applied to
- 3:31Speaker 2: your everyday life, and your continue to be encouraged and inspired.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It is your early morning praise, Pardie. I am Sherry mackey,
