- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with bec Tilly and Tanya Rat, an iHeart
- 0:04Speaker 1: Radio podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 2: That was the old intro.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Oh sorry this mark.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Here we are scrubbing in with Becailly and Tanya Rat
- 0:18Speaker 1: and iHeartRadio and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Hey everyone, we're bored of it.
- 0:34Speaker 2: We're bored of this so.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Well you can't have it either which way?
- 0:40Speaker 5: Yes, scrub dub dub.
- 0:45Speaker 2: No, we're just doing scrub and dub scrub a dub dumb.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Everyone everyone.
- 0:54Speaker 2: It's like or.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Although even so this has made me sad, this whole
- 1:04Speaker 1: jingle dispute, I have been happy because I have a new.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Goal for the podcast.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Ooh what is it?
- 1:12Speaker 1: You know what it is because I've been texting you
- 1:15Speaker 1: about it, but you seem less enthused than I.
- 1:18Speaker 2: The Golden Globe. Yes, Tanya goes, sends me the link
- 1:24Speaker 2: or the article about how they've added podcasts to the
- 1:28Speaker 2: Golden Globe nominees, and I go, uh, can the scrubbers
- 1:33Speaker 2: over this? Since she goes, unfortunately no, And then I
- 1:36Speaker 2: kind of lost interest because the scrubb like.
- 1:40Speaker 4: It's just the foreign press.
- 1:42Speaker 6: We could have some scrubbers in there.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Certainly some scrubbers in the Hollywood foreign press.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Do you think we're on their radar?
- 1:50Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:50Speaker 1: And if we start rubbing elbows and chumming it up over.
- 1:54Speaker 2: There, who where do we find those people?
- 1:57Speaker 4: I don't know, but we got to start some.
- 2:00Speaker 2: It was more of a compliment what I was saying.
- 2:02Speaker 2: It was more of a compliment to our scrubbers, because
- 2:05Speaker 2: they are the reason why we want our People's Choice awards,
- 2:07Speaker 2: because they voted like their lives depended on it. And
- 2:11Speaker 2: I don't know about the Golden Globe voters, but sure
- 2:18Speaker 2: like why not?
- 2:18Speaker 4: Yes exactly? If not us who?
- 2:22Speaker 2: If not?
- 2:22Speaker 4: Now not here?
- 2:27Speaker 2: Never nowhere? No, just whear where one day we'll get that.
- 2:33Speaker 4: But you know what I mean?
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah, should we hit some hard hitting journalism you think
- 2:39Speaker 2: to get Yeah?
- 2:41Speaker 4: So I feel like we do need to make it onto.
- 2:44Speaker 1: The page, like that front page of like the podcast,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and like the podcast.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Charts, Yes, the charts. I think we have to make charts.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I think charting would definitely give us some attention.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Some attention.
- 2:56Speaker 7: Yes, so yeah, you should start doing that.
- 2:58Speaker 2: We need to get someone who's on a uh there, No,
- 3:02Speaker 2: we need to get someone who's on their what's it
- 3:04Speaker 2: called when you're doing your publicity for like a show
- 3:06Speaker 2: or something. But we need to press. We need to
- 3:08Speaker 2: get someone on a junket, but we need to get
- 3:10Speaker 2: them first as opposed to last, so that we break
- 3:13Speaker 2: any interesting news.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Well that help us.
- 3:18Speaker 1: What I think we need is to think outside the box.
- 3:22Speaker 1: We don't need someone on their press junket doing all
- 3:24Speaker 1: the podcasts da DA. We need someone who hasn't spoken,
- 3:29Speaker 1: doesn't speak, and then speaks here.
- 3:33Speaker 7: In a big way, like, doesn't speak at all?
- 3:37Speaker 1: No, I just like somebody like that doesn't speak like
- 3:40Speaker 1: that's not on a press tour talk going on any
- 3:42Speaker 1: every podcast to promote something. Somebody that's just like it's
- 3:45Speaker 1: interesting that we are all interested in, but doesn't talk
- 3:50Speaker 1: much like, isn't on a press tour.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Who's more private?
- 3:53Speaker 4: Correct?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Okay, so we just have.
- 3:57Speaker 4: To get to it.
- 3:58Speaker 1: The Golden Globes are in twenty twenty, so we have
- 4:00Speaker 1: a little bit of time. But if not now, when, But.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Don't we need more than just one person?
- 4:09Speaker 3: Well, one person would push you on the map.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yes, we just need to get on the map. Okay,
- 4:13Speaker 1: So who does the Hollywood Foreign press love?
- 4:16Speaker 7: Let's start there.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Okay, great idea, Mark, Who else do they love?
- 4:22Speaker 1: Okay, who's won a ton of Golden globes? Like, who's
- 4:25Speaker 1: like a golden Globe Darling?
- 4:26Speaker 2: Okay, Feiston is a Golden Globe Darling.
- 4:31Speaker 4: No, I don't think so.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Actually, I think the reasons One of the most Golden globes.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Was getting Merrill.
- 4:37Speaker 7: Yes, MARYL.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Streep talking to no one.
- 4:40Speaker 2: No, she doesn't need to writing one thing about her.
- 4:42Speaker 2: She doesn't need to talk to anything.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Okay, but Mark, I like where this is going.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Okay, barisand also has a lot.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Who else?
- 4:51Speaker 7: Yes, let's get who else?
- 4:53Speaker 3: Nicole kid kidman?
- 4:57Speaker 2: Do you know what I was thinking about the other day?
- 4:59Speaker 3: Is u Kate Winslet?
- 5:01Speaker 2: Oh my, she might be my that might be one
- 5:04Speaker 2: of my dream guests.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I love her.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I love her.
- 5:07Speaker 4: We just need to find a name.
- 5:08Speaker 1: We need Mark to roll across a name that we
- 5:10Speaker 1: have some sort of in with, and so far we
- 5:12Speaker 1: have none.
- 5:13Speaker 3: So keep it going.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Okay, who in your mind do we have an in with?
- 5:17Speaker 1: There's got to be someone eventually that Mark goes by
- 5:20Speaker 1: that we have some sort of six degree connection.
- 5:23Speaker 8: Two.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I mean, these are the people that have won multiple
- 5:26Speaker 3: awards that are still living.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Yes, great, we need to live.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I mean what about you literally know Gwen Stefani.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I don't know if she's won so many Golden Globes.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Here's one and we do have a connection to them.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Steven Spielberg, Oh, yes, we have multiple connections.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Actually, do you feel like call it what it is?
- 5:44Speaker 2: Might have a better chance of getting to do Maybe
- 5:49Speaker 2: she's sot sacrifice.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Tanya sat next to his sister on his flight.
- 5:53Speaker 2: We might have to go through Nancy instead of Jessica.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Yes, and I have not spoken to Nancy, and.
- 5:59Speaker 2: This might be the time.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Okay, keep going, pick up the wedding.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Come on, Mark, There's got to be more people who
- 6:04Speaker 1: were Golden Globe darlings.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Clint Eastwood, Milosh Foreman, Oliver Stone, Francis Ford Coppola. I
- 6:11Speaker 3: think we're kind of tapped out.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Here, Tony. We haven't geared our podcast towards those names,
- 6:17Speaker 2: which is fine. That's what we're known for.
- 6:20Speaker 3: How about Laura Dern? Anyone know Laura Dern lad.
- 6:24Speaker 4: No ends to Laura Durna though, no ends. We're doing.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Hayley's movie is going to be coming out eventually, and
- 6:35Speaker 2: maybe I will be meeting some directors and actors at
- 6:40Speaker 2: these events as her plus one.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Well when do these start?
- 6:45Speaker 2: She met Sandra Oh the saw that.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Did she mention the podcast?
- 6:49Speaker 2: I don't think because in a different way, in a
- 6:56Speaker 2: different way she loves Sandra Oh, because of the Asian
- 7:00Speaker 2: represent like she has a different like. She was also
- 7:03Speaker 2: nervous to meet her, so I don't think she was
- 7:06Speaker 2: thinking about grubbing in when she said he was like,
- 7:09Speaker 2: but I asked. I was like with Sandra, like, could
- 7:11Speaker 2: you tell that everyone was like there, Sandro and she
- 7:14Speaker 2: was like, yeah, you can definitely feel the presence.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Yeah, the power, the power.
- 7:19Speaker 2: What's so funny is Haley is a little.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Bit golden globe adjacent, adjacent, like she's been nominated, she's won,
- 7:27Speaker 4: hasn't she won?
- 7:28Speaker 2: I don't know, but I'll check, And we don't hear
- 7:30Speaker 2: her on podcast. We do not. Maybe that's that's who
- 7:33Speaker 2: we shoot for. Yes, feels.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Semi attainable, feels in the realm, feels moreable than Gray's anatomy.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Francis Copola, she wond.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Okay, okay, so that's we've We've switched gears from Patrick
- 7:50Speaker 2: Dempsey to Sandra and and Patrick Dempsey if you're listening,
- 7:55Speaker 2: we will have you on.
- 7:56Speaker 4: He feels like he's won a Golden Globe in his
- 7:58Speaker 4: day as well.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I think Gray's and out of Me did right as
- 8:01Speaker 2: a whole.
- 8:02Speaker 3: The cast Sandra has two golden globes, one for grays anatomy,
- 8:06Speaker 3: one for.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Killing you, Oh my god, Darling, Darling for scrubbing in.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Yes, Okay, before we get too far from the open,
- 8:16Speaker 3: I do want to say that Paulina had a good
- 8:17Speaker 3: idea for the open. She says it currently as it
- 8:20Speaker 3: stands Becca has the entire open. Hello everyone, we are
- 8:23Speaker 3: scrubbing in. Maybe we split that up.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Oh so I say hello everyone and we are scrubbing it.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Vice versa. But that might be a way of doing it.
- 8:33Speaker 3: So tiny is not having to come up with some
- 8:35Speaker 3: interesting musical interlude every week.
- 8:39Speaker 2: No, I'm happy to try it.
- 8:41Speaker 4: I'm happy to try it too.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you can do what every whatever jingle you want.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Thank you next week or Thursday.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yeah, good, stay tuned. Oh my gosh, speaking of to
- 8:51Speaker 2: be continued. So let me just say I had a
- 8:56Speaker 2: crazy few weeks because we went to Joshua Tree for Caroline,
- 8:59Speaker 2: my sister's thirtieth, and then and then I was home
- 9:01Speaker 2: for a few days. I had construction in the house
- 9:03Speaker 2: and outside the house, and then left for Louisiana for
- 9:06Speaker 2: my brother in law's fortieth birthday. So I got back
- 9:09Speaker 2: on Saturday. Sunday, we had Mother's Day.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Yesterday, I sat on the couch and did nothing.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Did nothing, love, did nothing in bed. Watch did you
- 9:23Speaker 2: have Oh, I don't know, I'll have to look at that.
- 9:26Speaker 2: It was not twelve. Maybe I took Phoebe.
- 9:29Speaker 1: For a little while.
- 9:30Speaker 4: You maybe a hundred.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Yeah, may have gotten to one hundred. But I watched
- 9:35Speaker 2: old episodes of Gray's Anatomy, and then I watched all
- 9:38Speaker 2: I caught up on all the new episodes of Grey's Anatomy.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And in one of the episodes, Joe says, to be continued.
- 9:46Speaker 4: They're listening. I knew its are listening.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Someone is I don't know if it's called what it is,
- 9:54Speaker 2: but maybe someone from a Gray's Anatomy writer, because I
- 9:57Speaker 2: was like, that is interesting.
- 9:59Speaker 4: That is.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Never But she didn't. She said it in the context
- 10:03Speaker 3: of like she was having a discussion with someone and
- 10:06Speaker 3: she was saying, like, this conversation is not over, even
- 10:08Speaker 3: though they were walking away. To be continued. That's how
- 10:11Speaker 3: she used, it.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Still feels it's growing in adjacent.
- 10:16Speaker 2: And maybe I'm just more aware of it now. Maybe
- 10:18Speaker 2: it's uh, what's that called Murphy's Is that Murphy's law?
- 10:21Speaker 7: When like that's it's that's whatever can go wrong world?
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the thing I'm thinking when like you attract it? Yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 2: like when all of a sudden you started noticing things because.
- 10:29Speaker 4: It Marilyn's Uh Merlin, is it Merlin?
- 10:34Speaker 2: I think you're trying to say Murphy's but it's not
- 10:37Speaker 2: that anyways.
- 10:39Speaker 7: Her Minehoff phenomena.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I was going to say. It was
- 10:42Speaker 2: on the tip of my so I thought that was interesting.
- 10:47Speaker 4: That is interesting.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Mark and I were going back and forth last night
- 10:50Speaker 2: talking about Gray's Anatomy.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it was kind of fun because she was like
- 10:53Speaker 3: giving her me a running commentary while she was watching it.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Yeah, she was giving it to me as well.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Okay, well I sent.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Heard the val the singing of the vowels.
- 11:02Speaker 3: That was not their finest moment.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I needed a trigger warning for that. That is my nightmare.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Do you know why I think they did that?
- 11:11Speaker 2: Because he loves the sing Yes. Yeah, I'm sure he
- 11:14Speaker 2: pitched it, Yes, which was fun for him. But I
- 11:16Speaker 2: also was just like, you know how I feel. I don't.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I don't love them together as a couple.
- 11:21Speaker 3: So it also just weirdly shot, weirdly edited. The whole
- 11:25Speaker 3: thing was odd. It just felt weird. Everything about it
- 11:29Speaker 3: was weird.
- 11:30Speaker 2: But you know what I came up with. But something
- 11:32Speaker 2: I recognize because I just watched old episodes is that
- 11:35Speaker 2: the old episodes are filmed very differently. It's very moody,
- 11:38Speaker 2: and the scene feels dark, and so everything feels like
- 11:42Speaker 2: heavy and emotional and you feel like you're in Seattle.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Yeah, everything does in this like new era.
- 11:47Speaker 1: It feels like it's like bright, Like it's like through
- 11:49Speaker 1: a filter of like bright.
- 11:51Speaker 2: I'm like, I feel I see that we're filming in
- 11:54Speaker 2: La We're not in Seattle.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Yeah. It's an interesting observation that the show is a
- 11:58Speaker 3: lot brighter than he used to be. I think that's valid.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yeah, And the cameras are too clear.
- 12:03Speaker 3: It adds to the soap opera neess of it, which
- 12:06Speaker 3: is one of our big complaints about it.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I think they should go back to filmy grainy darkness, moodiness.
- 12:12Speaker 3: So you sent me the stuff you were not happy with.
- 12:14Speaker 3: What were you happy.
- 12:15Speaker 2: With not much, not much.
- 12:19Speaker 3: You said you enjoyed these last ones more than you
- 12:21Speaker 3: have did, Like.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I didn't find them to be as like like my
- 12:24Speaker 2: body wasn't like cringing the whole time. I loved this story.
- 12:29Speaker 2: I'm loving the storyline of Teddy and Owen going through
- 12:31Speaker 2: this open marriage thing and then her having to treat
- 12:35Speaker 2: the woman that he slept with. It's really interesting.
- 12:39Speaker 4: He's treating the woman that he's having an affair.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Teddy is having to treat the woman that she didn't have.
- 12:44Speaker 2: They didn't have an affair open right right right, right
- 12:47Speaker 2: right right, but she didn't she didn't sleep with Sophia
- 12:50Speaker 2: Bush's care.
- 12:50Speaker 4: But does Teddy know that this is the girl he's
- 12:52Speaker 4: sleeping with?
- 12:52Speaker 2: Yes? Oh, And she's like, don't like I everything they
- 12:55Speaker 2: went on, had a two week vacation. She's like, ever,
- 12:58Speaker 2: I feel very connected. We're good. I don't feel any
- 13:01Speaker 2: feelings about treating her. I'm going to treat her like
- 13:03Speaker 2: any other patient. And then the end was she sees
- 13:07Speaker 2: him like sitting in bed holding her. She's dying, Yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 2: she's dying, and she was just like, can you just
- 13:15Speaker 2: sit with me for a little bit? And he instead
- 13:17Speaker 2: of just sitting in a chair next to the bed
- 13:19Speaker 2: being with her. He gets in the bed with her,
- 13:22Speaker 2: holds her. Owen is my art nemesis.
- 13:26Speaker 3: See again, you compared me to Owen last week.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I was watching the old episodes and I was like,
- 13:35Speaker 2: I was like thoroughly enjoying Owen and Christina.
- 13:38Speaker 4: I never liked Owen for the record.
- 13:41Speaker 2: I feel like you switch up every other week.
- 13:43Speaker 3: The record a little hazy.
- 13:47Speaker 1: No, no, no, never liked Owen Hunt. Since he has been
- 13:51Speaker 1: on the podcast.
- 13:52Speaker 4: That changed.
- 13:53Speaker 2: That's controversial to me.
- 13:55Speaker 3: I would like to be I've changed my mind because
- 13:57Speaker 3: an Instagram person suggested this, and I think they are right.
- 14:00Speaker 4: First of all, who is this Instagram person?
- 14:02Speaker 3: I don't know. Somebody said this on Instagram. This is
- 14:04Speaker 3: when we last week we were naming which Greg and
- 14:06Speaker 3: I even characters were most like. You said don't Hunt
- 14:08Speaker 3: for me, which I didn't take great. You said, you
- 14:12Speaker 3: said Bailey, Miranda Bailey for me. Somebody on Instagram said
- 14:15Speaker 3: I'm Ben Warren. I'm like, you know what, that's pretty good.
- 14:19Speaker 3: That is pretty good.
- 14:20Speaker 4: He's not main character enough.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Well that's nice, but I feel like he's very loyal
- 14:26Speaker 3: and he's very.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Furassic for himself. He's not main character.
- 14:29Speaker 4: I know, I thought that was a horrible answer.
- 14:31Speaker 6: Mark is a very main character, which is why I said, Meredith, great,
- 14:34Speaker 6: thank you very much.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Actually, I think Ben Warren's a great option. He's very
- 14:38Speaker 2: much main character you.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Have, not like Miranda Bailey, not like Miranda Bailey. Miranda
- 14:43Speaker 1: Bailey is like, you don't get more than.
- 14:45Speaker 2: That, Jee Chief and Miranda and Meredith.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Yeah, Meghan is her name or Megan. Perhaps she said
- 14:53Speaker 3: that for me, and I think she's right.
- 14:55Speaker 7: I like it.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, I'm I'm I think that that's our best
- 15:00Speaker 2: that's the best suggestion thrown out in my opinion. That's
- 15:05Speaker 2: my opinion.
- 15:06Speaker 4: I stand by mine.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Miranda Bayley, yes, all right, And you know what, well, I.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Can't talk about this because I'm gonna be talking to myself.
- 15:14Speaker 1: But there's a Miranda Bailey adjacent in the Pulse, and
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm like, I see what you're trying to do here
- 15:20Speaker 1: with this character. She's not giving Miranda Bailey like Miranda
- 15:26Speaker 1: Bailey gives Miranda Bailey.
- 15:27Speaker 4: You know, So is the.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Pulse comparable to great like Old Grace or New Grace? Yes,
- 15:32Speaker 2: Old Grace.
- 15:35Speaker 1: There's something about it that's making me want to continue
- 15:40Speaker 1: to watch, you know what I mean, Like I Robbie's
- 15:42Speaker 1: like I could not watch it forever and be fine,
- 15:45Speaker 1: whereas I want to finish and see where this season ends.
- 15:48Speaker 1: So there's like a through line. It's a very interesting
- 15:52Speaker 1: plot because it's a it's a sexual harassment case situation
- 15:58Speaker 1: between kind of they're like Meredith and Derek, and so
- 16:04Speaker 1: it's this thing because it's that's the through line, that's
- 16:08Speaker 1: like the main thing, and then there's all this other
- 16:10Speaker 1: stuff going on in the hospital that you you know
- 16:12Speaker 1: in the meantime, but that's like the through line of
- 16:14Speaker 1: like did he abuse his power?
- 16:16Speaker 4: Is he a good guy?
- 16:17Speaker 1: Like he's claiming he did, and like so then you're
- 16:20Speaker 1: like hearing little bits of this story throughout. So like
- 16:22Speaker 1: to me, it's very interesting to see the different perspectives
- 16:26Speaker 1: and like that. But there is a layer of like
- 16:31Speaker 1: cheesiness to it that I don't mind. I gave it
- 16:35Speaker 1: a six point five, and I wish I gave it
- 16:37Speaker 1: a little bit higher because I, oh, yeah, so I'd say,
- 16:39Speaker 1: like I.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Love that that's locked in now because you said that
- 16:43Speaker 3: to your husband.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, no change, Yeah, he gave it a four.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I gave it a six point five, and I wish
- 16:50Speaker 1: I would have given it a strong Did you.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Rate all the shows you watched together?
- 16:53Speaker 8: No?
- 16:53Speaker 4: This one I felt compelled to because people were asking
- 16:58Speaker 4: me if I've been watching.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Might be cute if you rated everything and kept a
- 17:01Speaker 3: little log of all your shows and all your rating.
- 17:05Speaker 4: But I just have one episode left, so I'm almost done.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Okay, maybe i'll maybe I'll tune in.
- 17:10Speaker 4: I think you might like it.
- 17:12Speaker 5: I think you might like it.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I think the higher pitch almost inaudible.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Everybody's messaging me saying the Pit is much better that
- 17:21Speaker 1: I've watched both.
- 17:22Speaker 2: See, that's where I made a problem. I think I
- 17:25Speaker 2: made things hard for myself because I watched the Pit,
- 17:27Speaker 2: which was very just raw and real, and I have
- 17:30Speaker 2: a feeling I'm going to watch the Pulse and be like, this.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Is not it, but a little it.
- 17:36Speaker 9: It is a little it.
- 17:37Speaker 4: It is, it's a little it.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Well, I'd say it's like not Gray's seasons once through five,
- 17:42Speaker 1: and maybe like Gray's seasons like five through nine Grays.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I think Gray's started going down when Christina Yang left, Yes,
- 17:50Speaker 2: and it really really went down after Derek left died.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Spoiler alert thank you.
- 17:58Speaker 2: And I think that they had a real some really
- 18:05Speaker 2: bad seasons and I think right now it's like a
- 18:08Speaker 2: I would say it's like a five. Right now, I
- 18:09Speaker 2: would say like their peak was a ten. Well yeah,
- 18:13Speaker 2: but I think I think right, and then I think
- 18:15Speaker 2: they went down to like two and three, and now
- 18:17Speaker 2: I feel like they're at like a five.
- 18:18Speaker 3: We're back up to a five. I think, so okay, good.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm interested enough. Indugu and Millen Adelaide character, Adelaide's character, Yeah, I.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Mean they're kind of keeping their differance from each other now,
- 18:30Speaker 3: which is probably for the best.
- 18:31Speaker 2: He's into her.
- 18:32Speaker 3: He does definitely seem to be into her, and vice versa.
- 18:35Speaker 2: She's kind of clueless though. I think she doesn't even
- 18:37Speaker 2: know like that he's into her.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Tough, tough to be an intern. Yeah, I was so
- 18:41Speaker 3: happy when Adams didn't have to repeat his first year.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Why do I get invested?
- 18:46Speaker 2: Why do you care about that?
- 18:48Speaker 3: Sit there and watch the show and joke about how
- 18:50Speaker 3: cheesy it is out loud to no one. But then
- 18:54Speaker 3: when he gets to repeat, I'm like, oh, yeah, he
- 18:56Speaker 3: gets did not repeat his first year? Or the little
- 18:59Speaker 3: baby or baby kid, the kid that can't blink right now.
- 19:02Speaker 3: I'm very invested in that storyline.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I'm invested in that I when Amelia is there, I'm
- 19:07Speaker 2: pretty invested because there's always a serious storyline.
- 19:09Speaker 3: By the way, J N D A B C D.
- 19:12Speaker 3: This person on Instagram says you are Amelia, which I
- 19:16Speaker 3: thought was interesting.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Interesting, You're so not Amelia.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I'm an Amelia fan and I also love her in
- 19:23Speaker 2: real life.
- 19:24Speaker 4: I love her in real life.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Katerina, I've had the pleasure of meeting.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Her, she said, Tanya, is he Eastern George?
- 19:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but I sat and talked to her at
- 19:34Speaker 2: an Angel City game, like like when Haley Dang.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, we had a brief encounter.
- 19:40Speaker 2: We were like fans that night. Yeah, true fans verse friends.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, yeah, you houses fans verse friends.
- 19:47Speaker 5: I'll tell you after the break. O.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Wow, that was a tantalizing, tantalizing tease.
- 20:11Speaker 4: Thank you. So some may say, wow.
- 20:19Speaker 10: Remember an episode where I kept saying Tanya, because before
- 20:22Speaker 10: it was that episode where people I blocked you from
- 20:25Speaker 10: my story and I was like, tell me to say
- 20:27Speaker 10: on the podcast is like throw off, And I was saying, Tanya.
- 20:34Speaker 4: That I can just pull off all these pryings.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we'll get to that in a little bit.
- 20:39Speaker 4: So this weekend. This past weekend was Wango Tango?
- 20:43Speaker 2: Did your Tango?
- 20:44Speaker 1: Did you Wango Tango? Which, by the way, the morning
- 20:48Speaker 1: of I started my period.
- 20:50Speaker 2: But you're a modern woman who wore white.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Yes, I know, but like, what's up with my period
- 20:55Speaker 1: coming the morning of big events like my wedding. Wango
- 20:58Speaker 1: Tango literally came the morning of Wango Tango, and I
- 21:02Speaker 1: had a full white outfit for the day. You looked
- 21:05Speaker 1: gorgeous that photo that you posted with Robbie.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I was like, it was one of my favorite photos
- 21:09Speaker 2: of y'all. I just thought, y'all both looks so glowy
- 21:12Speaker 2: and happy and cute.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Thank you so much.
- 21:15Speaker 1: The glowiness was coming from my period, yeah I was.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I wasn't feeling my best, but it was fine. So anyways,
- 21:26Speaker 1: I threw on my all white and I said, you
- 21:28Speaker 1: know what, I have my period. My period doesn't have
- 21:31Speaker 1: me mm kept my outfit the way, yes, thank you,
- 21:34Speaker 1: kept my wide outfit fully. And I'm there and I
- 21:39Speaker 1: see my girl, Megan Trainer and she's like so cute.
- 21:43Speaker 4: And I met.
- 21:44Speaker 1: With our two scrubbers that won their way into the
- 21:47Speaker 1: kit who were could not have been cuter, like literally
- 21:51Speaker 1: could not have been cuter. And we'd met them before,
- 21:55Speaker 1: so they're like og og scrubbers.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Oh we've met them before. Yeah. Fun.
- 21:59Speaker 1: And so she gave me a shout out, Meghan Trainer
- 22:02Speaker 1: and during her set because she saw me like going crazy,
- 22:05Speaker 1: she said like, I see you.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Te here off.
- 22:08Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Anyways, so Megan goes on, She's amazing, she does her thing.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Gwen Stefani goes on amazing.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Like iconic, and I swear she saw me like she
- 22:33Speaker 1: was making like a lot of eyes at me.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Yes, I'm sure she did your hard.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:39Speaker 1: So she's like making eyes with me and I'm like
- 22:41Speaker 1: losing my mind. Blah blah blah.
- 22:42Speaker 4: So then she.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I had a stage intro right after Gwen Stefani's performance.
- 22:49Speaker 1: So I walk on the stage and I'm standing like
- 22:52Speaker 1: by the stairs and she finishes her set and she's
- 22:56Speaker 1: like walking off the stage to go down the stairs
- 22:58Speaker 1: and she sees me and she goes.
- 23:01Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh, I want to give you a hug, but.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I'm so so I'm like, oh no, no, it's totally fun,
- 23:06Speaker 1: Like obviously I don't want to hug me, she's like
- 23:07Speaker 1: dripping sweat her performance, and like I know that feeling
- 23:09Speaker 1: of like I don't want to touch anybody, but I
- 23:11Speaker 1: don't want to be rude.
- 23:11Speaker 4: I want to hug you and say hi.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:13Speaker 1: So I was like, she was like, you looked so
- 23:17Speaker 1: beautiful at your wedding congratulation wow, hi yeah. But I
- 23:23Speaker 1: thought she was like one of those celebrities that just
- 23:26Speaker 1: like follows people and doesn't really scroll much.
- 23:29Speaker 4: But let this be known, Gwen Stefani is just like us.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Will she be scrolling?
- 23:35Speaker 1: She'd be scrolling And my mouth was literally on the floor,
- 23:39Speaker 1: Like I was like, Gwen Stefani just told me that
- 23:41Speaker 1: I looked beautiful at my wedding in my wedding dress,
- 23:45Speaker 1: and she congratulated me on my wedding like she knows
- 23:48Speaker 1: who I am. Not only does she know who I am,
- 23:50Speaker 1: she knows that I just got married and then I
- 23:52Speaker 1: looked beautiful.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Tell that to young Tanya high school Tanya.
- 23:56Speaker 4: I literally was like.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Where why is my videotape not filled? It was like
- 24:00Speaker 1: I had a videotape in my head, like a mental videotape,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and I was like, I gotta have somebody following me
- 24:06Speaker 1: at all times to get this on video, because I
- 24:07Speaker 1: would watch that over and over and over and over again.
- 24:11Speaker 1: That was like peak of my life.
- 24:13Speaker 2: I said that. I told Haley after you texted me that,
- 24:16Speaker 2: and she was dying, like she was like dying for
- 24:19Speaker 2: you because she's her like one of her top of
- 24:22Speaker 2: all time. She would have died.
- 24:24Speaker 1: I literally like you should have seen the two guys
- 24:26Speaker 1: next to me. I was like, because she says it.
- 24:29Speaker 4: And I'm like, thank you so much, Oh my god,
- 24:31Speaker 4: You're amazing.
- 24:32Speaker 1: And I started blurting off how amazing her set was,
- 24:34Speaker 1: you know, and then of course she like wants to go,
- 24:36Speaker 1: Like right, she goes.
- 24:39Speaker 4: And I turned to the guys next to me on stage,
- 24:40Speaker 4: I'm like.
- 24:41Speaker 9: She said, I woked beautiful, my weddy.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Did you hear that? Did you hear that?
- 24:46Speaker 1: And they were like yeah, I was freaking out for
- 24:50Speaker 1: Saul like fifteen minutes.
- 24:51Speaker 2: It's pretty iconic.
- 24:52Speaker 4: It's iconic, yeah, I mean her set list was so the.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Thing is what I so years ago, this was maybe
- 24:59Speaker 1: like twenty eighteen. This was when I was dating doctor
- 25:02Speaker 1: screen Time I think that's what his name was.
- 25:05Speaker 4: Chicago Guy. I went flew out to New York in
- 25:09Speaker 4: Las Vegas because she invited us to her show.
- 25:12Speaker 1: She had a Vegas residency, and when these people have
- 25:15Speaker 1: this Vegas residency, there's like this little room in the
- 25:18Speaker 1: back where they have like their after party.
- 25:20Speaker 4: And I went for j Loo once and it was.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Packed, Like the room is like pack like you, I mean,
- 25:26Speaker 1: you see Jlo. But she's not like interacting me playing. Yeah,
- 25:29Speaker 1: she's just kind of like, you know, you're all just
- 25:31Speaker 1: like there. It's like you're part of the whatever, fifty
- 25:33Speaker 1: sixty people.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Yeah, So Gwen Stefani invited us back. It was literally
- 25:40Speaker 1: me and Brad who was my plus one Sicany and
- 25:43Speaker 1: her plus one, Gwen Stefani and her manager Tina, the
- 25:47Speaker 1: six of us.
- 25:48Speaker 4: Just us in this room. And she didn't just like.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Show up and say like thanks for coming to the show.
- 25:54Speaker 1: We were in there till like one in the morning,
- 25:57Speaker 1: like chilling, drinking, hanging out, chitchat. So ever since then,
- 26:01Speaker 1: she's been following me on Instagram.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Wow, but it was seven years.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Ago, yes, but then at uh people's choice of words,
- 26:09Speaker 2: I think twenty nineteen. Yes, we saw her on the
- 26:13Speaker 2: carpet and she and they were just chit chatting. Yeah,
- 26:16Speaker 2: and I was just standing there like, Tonya's just chit
- 26:19Speaker 2: chatting right now. So that was like one of those
- 26:24Speaker 2: moments because we always talk about how sometimes it's I'm
- 26:27Speaker 2: sure you feel this, like we get jaded about totally
- 26:30Speaker 2: the things you get to do are so normalized, but yeah,
- 26:33Speaker 2: for anyone else, it's crazy. And that was one of
- 26:35Speaker 2: those moments where I go, like, Tonya's just casually chit chatting,
- 26:39Speaker 2: like catching up with Gwyn. Yeah, like not like I'm
- 26:42Speaker 2: a big fan of yours, but like, how are you?
- 26:45Speaker 4: Yeah, how's it going? You've met a guy?
- 26:49Speaker 1: No way, now she knows that I'm married.
- 26:55Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 26:56Speaker 1: She is literally what you see is what you get,
- 26:59Speaker 1: Like she is so humble, she is so down to earth.
- 27:02Speaker 1: She is like a literal icon and she doesn't act
- 27:05Speaker 1: like it. Yeah, Like she could be totally egotistical, she
- 27:09Speaker 1: could be rude, she could be all those things, and
- 27:12Speaker 1: she's like literally the complete opposite.
- 27:14Speaker 2: I love to hear that.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Oh I didn't have.
- 27:17Speaker 1: To take a selfie with her, because I knew she
- 27:19Speaker 1: was like all sweaty and something inside I was.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Like, but you have the memory, Yeah I haven't. No
- 27:24Speaker 2: selfie needed, no selfie needed. I would have been on
- 27:26Speaker 2: our rundown, It says, Tanya, how was Wingo Tango? You
- 27:31Speaker 2: caught up with Megan Trainer saw Gwen Sefani more white
- 27:34Speaker 2: on your period?
- 27:39Speaker 3: That's right?
- 27:39Speaker 4: I did you betcha?
- 27:44Speaker 2: Okay, I had a hot take last night. I shared.
- 27:48Speaker 2: I asked like what people's controversial opinion was, and mine
- 27:51Speaker 2: was that I don't feel like rom coms have been
- 27:54Speaker 2: the same since social media, but I think more so
- 27:59Speaker 2: since TikTok, Actually since twenty twenty. I feel like rom
- 28:02Speaker 2: coms haven't hit like they used to. And a lot
- 28:05Speaker 2: of people were like, what about blah blah blah, Like
- 28:07Speaker 2: people kept saying Crazy Rich Asians, which came out in
- 28:09Speaker 2: twenty eighteen, and I was like, maybe it was more
- 28:12Speaker 2: before TikTok and not so much, but I considered Crazy
- 28:16Speaker 2: Rich Asians more of like.
- 28:17Speaker 4: A what about Anybody About You?
- 28:19Speaker 2: I didn't love it, but that was the argument people
- 28:21Speaker 2: kept saying. They're like, that was the one movie that
- 28:23Speaker 2: really felt like an old rom com, but I personally
- 28:26Speaker 2: didn't love it.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Sure, I know, well, I agree though, I think that
- 28:30Speaker 3: did feel like a classic.
- 28:31Speaker 6: It did, but I think they were very actively trying
- 28:33Speaker 6: to do that. Yeah, yeah, sure, whereas they were somewhat
- 28:36Speaker 6: effortlessly done.
- 28:37Speaker 7: Yes, a decade ago.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I think I felt the effort, which I think is
- 28:41Speaker 2: why I didn't like it. I was like, I felt
- 28:42Speaker 2: like he was trying to be too much like Matthew McConaughey. Yeah,
- 28:46Speaker 2: which I think he's so cute, but yeah, and then
- 28:49Speaker 2: people are like, what about nobody wants this? And I
- 28:51Speaker 2: was like, I think that's why nobody wants this was
- 28:53Speaker 2: so successful because it did have that old school feeling,
- 28:56Speaker 2: but that was a series, so I was mostly thinking like,
- 28:59Speaker 2: how to lose a guy into day as we haven't
- 29:01Speaker 2: had one of those movies. Yeah, they just don't hit
- 29:05Speaker 2: the same. And then I was like, maybe it's my
- 29:07Speaker 2: age because I existed in a time without social media,
- 29:11Speaker 2: So maybe people who are younger and have always had
- 29:13Speaker 2: social media don't see that see it that way.
- 29:17Speaker 3: But I also don't think they're making them like they
- 29:18Speaker 3: used to. Like, if you search for twenty twenties rom comms,
- 29:21Speaker 3: you're not a lot and you get ones that you've
- 29:24Speaker 3: never heard of. Yeah, I enjoyed Palm Spring. Did anyone
- 29:27Speaker 3: see that one? On? Andy Samberg?
- 29:30Speaker 7: Time movie?
- 29:31Speaker 3: Timelet movie? But also a rom com I enjoyed that one. Okay,
- 29:33Speaker 3: that comes to mind as a recent rom com I've enjoyed.
- 29:36Speaker 3: But I think in general, you're right. I don't think
- 29:37Speaker 3: they're making them like they used to or at all.
- 29:39Speaker 2: I guess, not necessarily enjoy just not like I don't
- 29:42Speaker 2: find them to be classic. Yeah, So, like I like
- 29:45Speaker 2: The Wedding Planner, like all the j love movies, Like
- 29:48Speaker 2: I feel like there's just you can go through and
- 29:51Speaker 2: list so many and now I feel like you can
- 29:53Speaker 2: maybe better.
- 29:53Speaker 4: What about the one with them and Hathaway and Nicholas
- 29:56Speaker 4: Gallantine one that was really good.
- 30:01Speaker 7: I'm typing.
- 30:05Speaker 3: I say the idea if you I did.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Like, That's what I'm saying.
- 30:08Speaker 8: There are some that I loved, but like you want,
- 30:11Speaker 8: I'm just saying, I don't rave to watch it over
- 30:14Speaker 8: and over again, Like I could watch those movies over
- 30:17Speaker 8: and over, like well, they're like comfort movies for me.
- 30:20Speaker 4: I can watch the idea of you over and over again.
- 30:22Speaker 4: I think, I.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Don't know, I'll to give it a shot and let
- 30:24Speaker 2: you know, yeah, watch it tonight. Are also saying, like
- 30:28Speaker 2: with social media, you get so many sneak peaks that
- 30:31Speaker 2: by the time you even.
- 30:32Speaker 4: See the movies has anything to do with it.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because people are talking about it and spoiling it,
- 30:37Speaker 2: and then, ay, you used to have to wait for
- 30:39Speaker 2: a long time. You'd have to go to the theater
- 30:41Speaker 2: to see it, and then you'd have to wait for
- 30:43Speaker 2: it to come out.
- 30:43Speaker 1: And be like, I've seen Hellos Guy in ten Days
- 30:45Speaker 1: a bazillion times and it's still just as good.
- 30:48Speaker 2: I know. That's that's my point.
- 30:50Speaker 3: But aren't rom coms so predictable like by nature, that
- 30:53Speaker 3: even if it is spoiled for you on TikTok, it
- 30:55Speaker 3: doesn't matter.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Yeah, or but but you already feel like you kind
- 30:59Speaker 2: of watch the movie because people are talking about specific
- 31:02Speaker 2: things that happened.
- 31:03Speaker 6: Sure, I thought you meant like before social media, like
- 31:07Speaker 6: in terms of the story of the movie, like because
- 31:10Speaker 6: if you watch a rom com from like the eighties,
- 31:12Speaker 6: like you don't have acts, like the characters don't have access.
- 31:15Speaker 7: To each other at all times like you do now.
- 31:18Speaker 6: So I didn't know you meant like social media, like
- 31:20Speaker 6: as far as like promotion of the movie.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Okay, kind of meant both because when you see sometimes
- 31:26Speaker 2: when I see them interacting on their iPhones on in
- 31:29Speaker 2: the movie, I'm like I don't want to see Like
- 31:31Speaker 2: it's almost like I'm trying to escape my phone, and
- 31:35Speaker 2: like the access to my phone. And when you watch
- 31:38Speaker 2: those earlier movies, it's like they had to call from
- 31:41Speaker 2: their old cell phone that it was like a brick,
- 31:44Speaker 2: or they're on a phone in their office or at home.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Right, I too, am trying to stay away from my phone.
- 31:51Speaker 1: And I never realized how addicted I was until I
- 31:55Speaker 1: implemented this new may rule, which is phone down at
- 31:58Speaker 1: eight pm.
- 31:59Speaker 4: It is so hard for me.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Yeah, you texted me after eight eight eight.
- 32:03Speaker 3: I got a lot of text because.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I sent you the video of Grace is eight thirty. No,
- 32:08Speaker 2: it's like nine something.
- 32:09Speaker 9: It was.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Actually when you didn't respond, I go, oh, she put
- 32:15Speaker 2: her phone down at eight, so she's not going to
- 32:17Speaker 2: see this till tomorrow.
- 32:18Speaker 1: And then you're saying last night, I was on my
- 32:20Speaker 1: phone until eight thirty, and Robbie was like, it's eight
- 32:23Speaker 1: past eight, yre you on your phone?
- 32:24Speaker 4: So then I put it down.
- 32:25Speaker 3: But why don't you schedule it to go and do
- 32:27Speaker 3: not disturbing eight o'clock? That's what I do.
- 32:29Speaker 4: I just can't be that girl. Why I just can't.
- 32:33Speaker 3: That girl being the girl who sets a goal and
- 32:35Speaker 3: sticks to it.
- 32:36Speaker 4: Now, the girl that is on D and D, what's
- 32:38Speaker 4: wrong with that?
- 32:39Speaker 7: I just can't be she has a problem with D
- 32:41Speaker 7: and D. We talked about.
- 32:42Speaker 3: But also, you don't have to like you can set
- 32:43Speaker 3: it so you don't announce to the world that you're
- 32:45Speaker 3: on D and D, so no one has to know
- 32:47Speaker 3: you're that girl.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Oh that might be an option.
- 32:50Speaker 3: So that's the problem you have, is people seeing that
- 32:52Speaker 3: time is Yeah, I got rid of that. I got
- 32:58Speaker 3: rid of that notification.
- 32:59Speaker 4: Oh that's interesting.
- 33:00Speaker 6: Yeah, you can do that whenever I try to put
- 33:02Speaker 6: my phone down for extent period of time. The thing
- 33:04Speaker 6: that I have a problem with this I'm tortured by,
- 33:06Speaker 6: Like I can't wait to see how many notifications I
- 33:09Speaker 6: have when I'm done with this. I bet I have
- 33:10Speaker 6: so many DMS and comments. And I'm like, this is
- 33:13Speaker 6: not this is like I'm rotting my brain in a
- 33:16Speaker 6: different way. It's just like, can I just exist? It's
- 33:19Speaker 6: so sad.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I got like so mad one day because I was
- 33:22Speaker 1: like still working until nine pm. And then I blamed you,
- 33:26Speaker 1: Mark because I was like, I'm still working so obviously,
- 33:29Speaker 1: like I'm on a screen and like my messages are
- 33:32Speaker 1: popping up. So I'm still on my phone till like
- 33:34Speaker 1: nine to fifteen one day, and I blamed you.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Is a laptop worse than a television screen? Isn't it
- 33:39Speaker 3: all screens?
- 33:40Speaker 4: No? No, no, no, okay, so it's not screens. It scrolls.
- 33:46Speaker 3: You're not scrolling if you're working on your work on
- 33:48Speaker 3: your laptop.
- 33:49Speaker 7: Yes.
- 33:50Speaker 1: However, it was like in tandem the messages were on
- 33:55Speaker 1: my phone, so I found myself engaging in text messages.
- 33:58Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, the notifications, I understand. It's a problem, yes,
- 34:03Speaker 6: with like you know, dopamine and stuff like that, like
- 34:05Speaker 6: even seeing the little red number like people, it's.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Just like I'm just scrolling mindlessly and like I feel
- 34:10Speaker 1: like I'm learning so many things and like it's.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Just too much information in my brain in a day.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what you should get? They sell these
- 34:18Speaker 3: on Amazon. It's a box and you open the door.
- 34:21Speaker 3: You do have one of those? How's that going?
- 34:24Speaker 2: Still?
- 34:26Speaker 1: You have a phone locker mess I wanted us to
- 34:29Speaker 1: all put our phones away, like at certain times in
- 34:31Speaker 1: the night, like when we're like, you know, watching TV
- 34:34Speaker 1: together or whatever.
- 34:35Speaker 4: It literally made its way out of the box.
- 34:37Speaker 1: I left it like on our dining room table, and
- 34:39Speaker 1: then miraculously it's like in my office now.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Just like collecting this correct.
- 34:46Speaker 7: Dang.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, I I had a moment because I have
- 34:50Speaker 2: been avoiding my phone update for I would say at
- 34:54Speaker 2: least a year, because when did they switch the photo album.
- 35:01Speaker 2: I literally avoided it because I would try to do
- 35:03Speaker 2: stuff on Hailey's phone to get pictures and I'm like,
- 35:05Speaker 2: I can't find anything. I'm so stressed, Mecca.
- 35:08Speaker 1: This has been my biggest thing all my wedding photos.
- 35:12Speaker 1: I'd save them from my photographer and I have no
- 35:15Speaker 1: idea where they go on my phone. It's so frustrating.
- 35:18Speaker 2: So I finally my sister was like, did you see
- 35:22Speaker 2: on the new update on pictures you can remove items
- 35:25Speaker 2: in the background and it's like effortless. You just like
- 35:28Speaker 2: color them and they disappear.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Oh, items in the background on like a picture.
- 35:31Speaker 2: If you don't want something in the background. And so
- 35:33Speaker 2: I was like, oh my gosh, I want that so bad,
- 35:35Speaker 2: I'm just going to do the update. I did it.
- 35:38Speaker 2: I literally felt like a boomer trying to use technology
- 35:41Speaker 2: for the first life, and I found myself getting so
- 35:44Speaker 2: angry at like how difficult they made it, but then
- 35:47Speaker 2: Haley goes, yeah, I've been trying to I don't know
- 35:51Speaker 2: why they did the photos like that. It made it
- 35:53Speaker 2: so much more difficult. So I really I'm feeling very
- 35:57Speaker 2: sensitive for the elderly having to navigate because I do too,
- 36:02Speaker 2: because because we grew up, yeah, like we lived without it,
- 36:05Speaker 2: but then at a young age we got the Internet
- 36:07Speaker 2: and then we got social media, so we've been able
- 36:09Speaker 2: to adapt to it like pretty effortlessly. Don't met yesterday, No, I.
- 36:15Speaker 4: Do the same thing. I get so upset.
- 36:17Speaker 1: I get really worked up over these things, and Robbie's like, babe,
- 36:20Speaker 1: like you're not my mom, Like you need to like
- 36:22Speaker 1: calm down and you need to figure this out.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Like I know, I did have to like call myself down. Yes,
- 36:27Speaker 2: I worked up over certain thing about like even my
- 36:29Speaker 2: parents and my grandparents and like them having to like, yeah,
- 36:33Speaker 2: just adjust because it's the way of the world. And
- 36:36Speaker 2: I got I get like so sad about it. I
- 36:38Speaker 2: see videos of people at iPhone I've like Apple stores
- 36:42Speaker 2: learning learning about how to use the iPhone, not to
- 36:45Speaker 2: sign one of those.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I will literally download these photos from my wedding album
- 36:52Speaker 1: and there's like these recent days albums on the bottom.
- 36:55Speaker 1: So I'm like, okay, I'll go to like to the
- 36:56Speaker 1: recently saved one and like see, but.
- 36:59Speaker 4: Then all the ones that I just saved aren't in there.
- 37:01Speaker 1: So then I'm like, Summer in there, and then Summer
- 37:03Speaker 1: in the scroll and I'm just like, I can't. I'm
- 37:06Speaker 1: gonna sign it for it.
- 37:07Speaker 3: That's something I haven't really figured out is when you
- 37:09Speaker 3: import a photo, sometimes it goes as new and sometimes
- 37:12Speaker 3: it goes at the time the photo was taken. Yeah,
- 37:14Speaker 3: and that is confusing, yes.
- 37:16Speaker 4: And sometimes anything in between. Per me.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Isn't it supposed to be easier now, Euston, Isn't it
- 37:23Speaker 3: supposed to because you can now search very specific things.
- 37:25Speaker 3: You can me in a red shirt and it'll bring
- 37:27Speaker 3: up every time you've ever wonn a red shirt.
- 37:29Speaker 7: Yeah, that's what it's supposed to do.
- 37:30Speaker 2: It doesn't I tried that. I literally tried me in
- 37:33Speaker 2: a red shirt yesterday and could not find it. Did
- 37:36Speaker 2: not pull that up. So there's a glitch.
- 37:39Speaker 4: It's tough in these streets.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Okay. So I wanted to talk about gen z pet
- 37:48Speaker 2: names for their significant others and see if anyone uses these.
- 37:52Speaker 2: But first we're gonna take a break. All right, we
- 38:13Speaker 2: are back. It just I was thinking about how you
- 38:18Speaker 2: apparently call Robbie daddy, and I was thinking about the
- 38:22Speaker 2: significant other nicknames, and then there are gen Z has
- 38:27Speaker 2: a new set of pet names. So I want to
- 38:29Speaker 2: see if any of these resonate with you. But I
- 38:32Speaker 2: also think I think. I saw Amanda Stanton posted one
- 38:36Speaker 2: of those the trend where it's like your name like
- 38:39Speaker 2: my I didn't want it was like Rebecca to the government,
- 38:41Speaker 2: you know, and she said.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I'm going to do that soon.
- 38:43Speaker 2: She said bro or bruh to her daughters, which I
- 38:46Speaker 2: thought was so funny.
- 38:48Speaker 3: That's interesting because it doesn't really they don't really call
- 38:50Speaker 3: you bro, they're just it's it's an expression of frustration,
- 38:53Speaker 3: like bruh.
- 38:54Speaker 2: B Yeah I say it too, but not to hate im,
- 38:59Speaker 2: like ugh, bro, like the time you say bro and bro.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Yeah, not to rob my step kids.
- 39:07Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 39:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 39:12Speaker 2: So you say, I don't know if that's yes cool? Okay,
- 39:17Speaker 2: So the top nicknames.
- 39:19Speaker 1: I saw Amanda Stanton by the way, she was at
- 39:21Speaker 1: Window Tango. Yes, I love her, and I felt so
- 39:25Speaker 1: awkward because I've never met her kids before.
- 39:27Speaker 4: But I feel like I know them.
- 39:28Speaker 2: I was like, they're probably like.
- 39:31Speaker 4: The heck is this lady?
- 39:33Speaker 2: So many people do that to them because yeah, because
- 39:36Speaker 2: like anyone who watched the show or follows her, they're
- 39:39Speaker 2: such a big part of her life. Yeah, I think
- 39:41Speaker 2: that's normal. I mean, yeah, no matter the age that's drawing.
- 39:47Speaker 7: You know.
- 39:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Yeah, So the top nicknames. Let me know if anyone
- 39:51Speaker 2: uses these in the room. First of all, what do
- 39:53Speaker 2: you call what do you call Alison? What's your nickname?
- 39:56Speaker 6: I call her Alison, and uh I I started like
- 40:01Speaker 6: ten years ago, fifteen years ago. I started jokingly calling
- 40:04Speaker 6: myself bae to be annoying. I just walked in there
- 40:09Speaker 6: and said, I'm bae. That has stuck. So she calls
- 40:15Speaker 6: me bae. I call myself baye, so.
- 40:19Speaker 2: A twist, and then you would just call her I
- 40:23Speaker 2: just call her else No babe.
- 40:25Speaker 7: No sweeting, no bay. I call her simes to call
- 40:28Speaker 7: her sweetheart. And she does not like that.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I wouldn't.
- 40:31Speaker 7: Like that's like a it's like a hot slow down sweetheart.
- 40:33Speaker 7: It's like that kind of thing, okay.
- 40:35Speaker 2: And she's like no, no, and you're just easterner bay. Yeah,
- 40:40Speaker 2: like simple.
- 40:43Speaker 7: To the point confusion.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Mark.
- 40:45Speaker 3: It's pretty simple. In our house. She's AMers okay, and
- 40:49Speaker 3: I'm Mark. There is no there are no names unless
- 40:54Speaker 3: I'm referred to as dad to the kids. Go get
- 40:58Speaker 3: Dad for dinner. Other than that, it's just there. There's
- 41:01Speaker 3: not a lot of honey, babe, love sweetie. There's none
- 41:05Speaker 3: of that going on. I mean probably yeah, but I'm
- 41:09Speaker 3: used to it's been a long time.
- 41:14Speaker 2: You should suggest some of these, muffin.
- 41:16Speaker 1: If Robbie ever called me Tanya, I would lose it.
- 41:20Speaker 4: Tanya. I'd be like, Okay, Robert.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Rob on his birth certificate. Yeah, that's cool.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Yeah, r o b Y. What are your what are
- 41:33Speaker 2: your nicknames?
- 41:34Speaker 4: Babe?
- 41:35Speaker 2: Yeah, babey.
- 41:36Speaker 4: You don't say honey, honey, love Angel.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Angel is a big one him that he calls me angel, Yeah,
- 41:45Speaker 1: love bug, sleepy head angel, muffins.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Very what you call him?
- 41:58Speaker 4: Babe, babe, loved.
- 42:02Speaker 9: Bug, Zaddi.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Rah you name it like that one.
- 42:14Speaker 2: We say babe and then so years ago she would
- 42:19Speaker 2: do you know on trek the donkey when or when
- 42:23Speaker 2: he dun no, when he goes don't that'll do dunky.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Like no, I don't think I've ever seen that'll do
- 42:30Speaker 4: dunkin or something.
- 42:31Speaker 7: I mean, that's why, like that will be pig from babe.
- 42:34Speaker 2: There's something about.
- 42:36Speaker 4: I've never heard dunky, don't ca never.
- 42:41Speaker 2: So somehow that happened, and then I would call her
- 42:45Speaker 2: dunky anyway, come from dunk it to donn it and
- 42:50Speaker 2: now I'm bonnet. She's done it. That's cute, but now
- 42:54Speaker 2: it's shortened to bond and dawn and then babe my girl, one.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Of those, and I want, well you got time, you
- 43:04Speaker 1: had a lot though all.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Of us are like bona don like, we don't have.
- 43:09Speaker 2: That, and we say it. I mean, it's it's so
- 43:13Speaker 2: out of habit that we say it in front of
- 43:15Speaker 2: people and they're like, what do you say? What do
- 43:17Speaker 2: you call her? And then I have to go through
- 43:19Speaker 2: this whole explanation. That's such a you know, it's like
- 43:22Speaker 2: your name. It's like Phoebe's chicken and like response to chicken, right,
- 43:28Speaker 2: you know?
- 43:28Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I don't have that with Sonny either, Sonny Bunny.
- 43:33Speaker 2: If Bunny fell when if not you.
- 43:37Speaker 4: I gotta we gotta get another nickname. I'm gonna text
- 43:40Speaker 4: him right now. We need better nicknames.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Okay, Well, here's a list of some of the top nicknames.
- 43:45Speaker 2: So well, this is okay. So some of the top
- 43:49Speaker 2: ones are bro.
- 43:50Speaker 3: This is among gen Z.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Yeah, this is gen Z. But this is interesting to
- 43:54Speaker 2: me because these are terms of endearment and I think
- 43:57Speaker 2: they're for dating, but they feel like best friends. But
- 44:01Speaker 2: these are some of the examples. Bro, bestie, friend, my friend.
- 44:06Speaker 4: I hate that.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Bebe Easton's ahead of my behead of the crew. I'm
- 44:10Speaker 2: bye day one.
- 44:11Speaker 4: I like that.
- 44:12Speaker 3: That's not true. They're not doing that hey day one.
- 44:16Speaker 4: They are.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Want you guys. I do not have gen Z people
- 44:23Speaker 2: really in my life, so I don't know what they're saying.
- 44:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah we do.
- 44:28Speaker 2: What do your girls say?
- 44:30Speaker 3: Uh, my daughter has a boyfriend. I think it's babe.
- 44:35Speaker 2: I don't think these are the pet names that gen
- 44:43Speaker 2: Z considers outdated. Babe, sugar, hon muffin, Bubba. I think
- 44:55Speaker 2: we should agree with gen Darling, angel and love.
- 45:05Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 45:08Speaker 2: But gen Z does enjoy a good nickname, which we
- 45:11Speaker 2: have to appreciate about them.
- 45:12Speaker 6: We work with a lot of a gen Z young
- 45:14Speaker 6: women on this team, and I get called King by
- 45:16Speaker 6: them a lot.
- 45:17Speaker 4: Whatever he use king and queen a lot like that.
- 45:21Speaker 6: It honestly makes me uncomfortable because I know they're just
- 45:25Speaker 6: doing Like they'll ask.
- 45:26Speaker 7: Me to do something and I will do it and
- 45:27Speaker 7: they'll say thank.
- 45:28Speaker 9: You, King, yeah, and I'm like yeah, and.
- 45:30Speaker 7: I'm like, okay, Well, first of all, that's my job.
- 45:32Speaker 6: You don't have to call me a king during the
- 45:34Speaker 6: bare minimum here. And also, I just it feels, I
- 45:37Speaker 6: don't know, I feel weird getting that anyone listening song
- 45:40Speaker 6: calling me king.
- 45:42Speaker 2: I don't know. I I think I like that king.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I like powerful. Yeah, I like Queen Queen. I
- 45:53Speaker 1: use Queen a lot.
- 45:54Speaker 8: Who I've literally never queen.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Let's say that.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, Skanya, I walk in today and we're we
- 46:07Speaker 2: barely I barely sat down. There's no discussion happening. And
- 46:13Speaker 2: Tanya goes, do you ever just wish you're athletic?
- 46:19Speaker 4: And that's not what I said.
- 46:20Speaker 2: What you said?
- 46:21Speaker 4: I said, Becca, don't you wish you were athletic? Which
- 46:29Speaker 4: cause I practiced it for a long time before you
- 46:31Speaker 4: got here.
- 46:33Speaker 2: And it's a trend and I've seen that. I'm chronically online. Unfortunately,
- 46:37Speaker 2: you can't out trend the trenderang.
- 46:40Speaker 3: And that's what you said.
- 46:41Speaker 2: You said, I said, I've already seen that trend.
- 46:43Speaker 3: Do you want to know the texting that went on
- 46:45Speaker 3: before you got here. Please, Tanya said this to me
- 46:48Speaker 3: and Easton and Crystal and Sam.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Okay, so everybody but you.
- 46:53Speaker 3: I want to try to pull a prank and before
- 46:56Speaker 3: we start the pod, but can you make sure everything's
- 46:58Speaker 3: rolling so I can get vity without having to film
- 47:01Speaker 3: her myself. I feel like that will give it away.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Sam l o l I'm sure we can. Do you
- 47:06Speaker 3: want the phones rolling to or zoom, Tanya, I think
- 47:08Speaker 3: the phones are gonna throw her off. Sam east It
- 47:10Speaker 3: will set up everything and have the zoom rolling. Easton,
- 47:13Speaker 3: I'll feed the mics to zoom without becking knowing they're
- 47:15Speaker 3: turned on. Crystal Easton, if you have a phone in
- 47:17Speaker 3: a tripod in your corner, maybe you can have that
- 47:19Speaker 3: recording on them too, so it's not obvious. Easton, Yeah, definitely, Tanya.
- 47:23Speaker 3: It could not work, but I'm gonna try.
- 47:27Speaker 2: That makes me feel sad that so much went into it.
- 47:30Speaker 7: I hope there was a version that were Tiny's holding
- 47:32Speaker 7: her phone going hey.
- 47:36Speaker 2: I don't I think that might give it away.
- 47:39Speaker 3: All that preparation for three seconds of attempt.
- 47:44Speaker 2: My prank's usually like text mark in the middle or
- 47:47Speaker 2: Eastern like when you go to the bathroom and I'm like, hey,
- 47:49Speaker 2: this is what we're doing.
- 47:55Speaker 7: When Tanya comes back in the room. We're going to
- 47:56Speaker 7: pretend she's a duck.
- 47:59Speaker 3: Ready, got it?
- 48:01Speaker 2: But Robbie sent it to you and.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Yeah, and he said you should totally.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Do something tomorrow would have been good. Wish I would have.
- 48:14Speaker 2: I would love to know what my response would be
- 48:16Speaker 2: to that. Without knowing it was a trend. I'd probably
- 48:19Speaker 2: just laugh, I know, like, what are you talking about?
- 48:21Speaker 3: I am?
- 48:22Speaker 7: I think if you hadn't seen the trend, it may
- 48:24Speaker 7: have urged her.
- 48:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I think she would have.
- 48:26Speaker 7: Maybe, I think it.
- 48:27Speaker 4: Would have wrapped her a little bit.
- 48:28Speaker 2: I think I would have just laughed, like I obviously am,
- 48:32Speaker 2: Like I know, I'm athletic, So I think I would
- 48:34Speaker 2: have just been like, what are you talking about?
- 48:37Speaker 4: I guess we'll never know that's the truth.
- 48:39Speaker 2: And on that note, it is time to say goodbye
- 48:42Speaker 2: to this podcast, but don't worry, because we'll be back. Yeah.
- 48:46Speaker 4: It's to be continued to.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Be continued on Thursday with the Dear Bonya and we
- 48:52Speaker 2: love you so much.
- 48:53Speaker 3: I love you.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Bye bye.
