- 0:35Speaker 3: the day and Steve, as per usual, Junior has a
- 0:39Speaker 3: question for you. What you got Junior?
- 0:41Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Un, well, you know what's the new year?
- 0:43Speaker 4: Man? And how do we view what happened to was
- 0:47Speaker 4: last year and not make sure we won't to bring
- 0:49Speaker 4: it into twenty twenty six?
- 0:51Speaker 2: Well?
- 0:53Speaker 4: How do we view last year and make sure we
- 0:55Speaker 4: don't bring it into twenty twenty six? I think here's
- 0:58Speaker 4: the best thing for people to realize is that just
- 1:04Speaker 4: number one, right off the top of my head, as
- 1:06Speaker 4: you asked me, that God is in the forgiving business,
- 1:11Speaker 4: God is in the redemption business, God is in the
- 1:15Speaker 4: saving business. If you've survived twenty twenty five, why would
- 1:24Speaker 4: you bring the things you survive from into twenty twenty six.
- 1:29Speaker 4: That's what blocks the majority of people's blessings that I know.
- 1:34Speaker 4: They keep belaboring the point, they keep harboring on the misstep,
- 1:39Speaker 4: They keep wallowing in the mud, when nowhere in the
- 1:46Speaker 4: Bible does it tell you you have to do that.
- 1:49Speaker 4: So why do people do it? Why do you keep
- 1:53Speaker 4: holding yourself to the mistake you made years ago? If
- 1:58Speaker 4: you know, if you hadn't had that baby out to
- 2:00Speaker 4: wed like, things would have been No, yeah, things would
- 2:03Speaker 4: have been different, but then that person wouldn't be here either,
- 2:08Speaker 4: you know. Stop beating yourself up, man unnecessarily because what
- 2:13Speaker 4: oftentimes what you think are mistakes or just actually valuable
- 2:18Speaker 4: lessons that you needed to learn along the way. Now,
- 2:22Speaker 4: we don't appreciate the lessons we got to learn, but
- 2:24Speaker 4: we are the reasons why we have.
- 2:26Speaker 2: To learn them.
- 2:28Speaker 4: So stop wallowing in your misery. Stop holding on to
- 2:32Speaker 4: your past. Number one, I'm really good at not beating
- 2:38Speaker 4: myself up about my past. Now, have I done it
- 2:42Speaker 4: pride before? Yes, I have a human I felt guilty
- 2:47Speaker 4: about something I did as a younger man, and I
- 2:49Speaker 4: carried it for years. I even allowed some people to
- 2:55Speaker 4: hold me to what I did as a younger man.
- 2:59Speaker 4: And then I just stopped. You know, I was talking
- 3:03Speaker 4: to I was listening to a couple of sermons. I
- 3:05Speaker 4: was talking to Bishue Jakes one time. Man, I was
- 3:08Speaker 4: I want you know, I ain't never went to therapy
- 3:10Speaker 4: or nothing, but I just got to look at I
- 3:12Speaker 4: was reading some stuff one time, and I just learned, Man,
- 3:15Speaker 4: a lot of times people hold you to your past
- 3:18Speaker 4: because they because they use it as a manipulative tool,
- 3:21Speaker 4: a manipulation tool. Manipulation tool. A lot of people hold
- 3:26Speaker 4: you to they won't let you go past. Oh you,
- 3:29Speaker 4: thank you all that.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Now.
- 3:30Speaker 4: I remember when we used to Yeah, I remember that too,
- 3:32Speaker 4: But I don't do that no more. There are people
- 3:36Speaker 4: that I know who still hold me to a mistake
- 3:41Speaker 4: I made when I was twenty seven years old, twenty seven.
- 3:46Speaker 4: I know some people still writing about it what I
- 3:51Speaker 4: did at twenty seven.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I'm sixty eight.
- 3:56Speaker 4: I'm forty one years older than I was when I
- 4:01Speaker 4: was twenty seven. That person I was at twenty seven,
- 4:04Speaker 4: he don't even exist no more.
- 4:08Speaker 2: He ain't even he's not even in the universe.
- 4:13Speaker 4: As a matter of fact, none of the ramifications of
- 4:17Speaker 4: my mistakes at twenty seven no longer exists because they
- 4:22Speaker 4: no longer ramifications allowed to be ramifications for a long time.
- 4:27Speaker 2: But man, no, don't.
- 4:29Speaker 4: You don't and shouldn't bring the misery of twenty twenty
- 4:34Speaker 4: five into twenty twenty six.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Now you can bring the lessons you've learned. You can
- 4:39Speaker 2: bring the blessings you've earned, well, not earned, but received.
- 4:44Speaker 2: You could do all that, but keep all that negative
- 4:46Speaker 2: stuff back there, and a good place to start. Two
- 4:51Speaker 2: places start. Number one in your mind. You stop bringing
- 4:56Speaker 2: up old stuff to yourself. That's number one. And number two,
- 4:59Speaker 2: get rid of all the people in your life who
- 5:01Speaker 2: constantly bring it up your past to remind you of
- 5:04Speaker 2: what you used to do. If you get rid of
- 5:06Speaker 2: those two things first of all, And your mind is
- 5:09Speaker 2: the easy one to fix, because because you got total
- 5:11Speaker 2: control of that. It's them other people that just won't
- 5:17Speaker 2: let you live it down. They just won't let you forget.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I'll tell you something, man, that I learned.
- 5:25Speaker 4: You have loan some money to a person more than once,
- 5:29Speaker 4: and then they came back, maybe third or fourth time,
- 5:33Speaker 4: and you decided not to loan it to them. And
- 5:34Speaker 4: all of a sudden, you ain't sugar honey, ice tea. Now,
- 5:41Speaker 4: all of a sudden, because you done got tired of
- 5:44Speaker 4: being used, you no longer want to be stepped on
- 5:49Speaker 4: and unappreciated. You made a decision for yourself. Now, all
- 5:54Speaker 4: of a sudden, you ain't nothing no more. Now, the
- 5:59Speaker 4: narrative if they going around is they went to you
- 6:01Speaker 4: for help and you didn't help them. They ain't mentioned
- 6:06Speaker 4: all the times that you did help them. But these
- 6:10Speaker 4: are good lessons to learn, and these are good people
- 6:12Speaker 4: to rid yourself of. I have now ridd it myself.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Of all people, I got one more. I got one more,
- 6:18Speaker 4: one more. I got this one dude man that just
- 6:20Speaker 4: won't get it, and he ain't. He ain't my I
- 6:24Speaker 4: don't mentor him nothing, I don't know. I gave him
- 6:27Speaker 4: my phone numb the biggest mistake I ever made. I
- 6:29Speaker 4: done blocked him. He didn't got he nee got other numbers.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Every time I turn around, he wants something and I
- 6:39Speaker 4: constantly tell him no, and then I get this long lesson.
- 6:43Speaker 4: I got this one dude did something for me thirty
- 6:46Speaker 4: years ago, And every time he wants something, he bring
- 6:49Speaker 4: up that favor he did for me thirty years ago.
- 6:53Speaker 4: It's crazy how many times I got to pay for that. Hey, listen, man,
- 6:57Speaker 4: don't bring twenty twenty five into twenty six twenty unless
- 7:00Speaker 4: it's a blessing, or unlesson bring them with you. Leave
- 7:03Speaker 4: everybody else in the pand my close remarks. Talk to
- 7:07Speaker 4: God today. He would absolutely love to hear from me. Y'all,
