- 0:02Speaker 1: World Series of Poker studio. They set up for us.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Big guest today, Uh, Jeff Nado on the show. Jeff
- 0:10Speaker 1: has been around for decades, and uh, he just knows
- 0:13Speaker 1: so much about so many things that I don't even know,
- 0:16Speaker 1: especially about these sports betters scandal, this, that Mafia podcast
- 0:21Speaker 1: that he's had. Yeah, I'm just hoping no one comes
- 0:24Speaker 1: in here and tries to take us all out. But hey,
- 0:25Speaker 1: what are you gonna do at That's part of the
- 0:27Speaker 1: business you have to worry about. So John, here we go.
- 0:29Speaker 1: We have we have Jeff, Jeff, how are you? What
- 0:31Speaker 1: brings you in town?
- 0:32Speaker 2: I'm gonna play some events. Okay, cool, I've been in
- 0:35Speaker 2: Vegas in a while. You said you're not worry about
- 0:38Speaker 2: somebody coming in here. If we were at the Burgata,
- 0:40Speaker 2: we might have to worry a little bit more. Oh yeah,
- 0:42Speaker 2: we're gonna make sure we're fronting the door. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 0:44Speaker 2: out here, I think we'll be all right.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Oh good, good that you've had me though, No problem,
- 0:49Speaker 1: no problem. I've commented to you. I've never met you.
- 0:53Speaker 1: We've talked over the internet before. We text back and forth.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I had you on one of my vsin shows, but
- 0:58Speaker 1: just over the over the video, I cannot believe how
- 1:01Speaker 1: much weight you've lost. And I said, did you lose
- 1:04Speaker 1: like eighty pounds? You said, no, how many?
- 1:08Speaker 3: Wow? One hundred and fifty pounds?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Yeah, how did you do it?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Unbelievable?
- 1:11Speaker 2: So in twenty twenty, I I was three hundred and
- 1:16Speaker 2: forty eight pounds. Oh, and I'm not real tall, so
- 1:19Speaker 2: it wasn't great. And uh, I actually got hired by
- 1:22Speaker 2: Barstool Sports, you know, I worked there, sure, And I
- 1:25Speaker 2: remember COVID came and Dave Port and I contacted me
- 1:29Speaker 2: and said, we're done. We're going home for a while.
- 1:32Speaker 2: The world's basically stopping. It was that week and I
- 1:35Speaker 2: went home and I remember looking in the mirror and
- 1:37Speaker 2: I said, you know what, I gotta finally do this.
- 1:40Speaker 2: And I watched a Joe Rogan episode about intermittent fasting. Yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 2: and I talked to myself, how could I do that?
- 1:46Speaker 2: How could I not eat, you know, for hours on end,
- 1:49Speaker 2: because I was eating really unbelievable, you wouldn't even believe it.
- 1:52Speaker 2: And I just started, you know, twelve hours. Now I
- 1:55Speaker 2: do twenty four hours every day I eat once a day.
- 1:58Speaker 2: That's it. I cut out sugar. I don't sugar is
- 2:01Speaker 2: the killer, right, Sugar was the one. I don't eat
- 2:04Speaker 2: after eight pm, and I do cardio every day. But
- 2:08Speaker 2: I quickly lost weight. I lost sixty pounds within two months.
- 2:12Speaker 2: So by summer of twenty twenty, I was on the run.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And then I started losing and I'm just you know what,
- 2:17Speaker 2: kept going, and I've six years later, I'm still I'm
- 2:21Speaker 2: still losing. Actually, it's great. It's been a good for you.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It's been a good good thing for me. It's the
- 2:26Speaker 2: extent of my life considerably. All my vitals are normal now,
- 2:29Speaker 2: so yeah, it's been good.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I have notes on my phone just so I'm looking
- 2:33Speaker 1: down on my phone and just you know what you're doing.
- 2:34Speaker 3: How did you start in a media space? How did
- 2:36Speaker 3: you get into any media space?
- 2:37Speaker 1: How did you get hired by portnoy over at barstool?
- 2:41Speaker 2: So maybe two thousand and nine, twenty ten. I had
- 2:46Speaker 2: no idea what I wanted to do. I was working
- 2:48Speaker 2: for my father at the time. I didn't go to college,
- 2:51Speaker 2: nothing like that. I was just a bum. I did nothing.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I didn't I was all just betting. That was really it.
- 2:56Speaker 2: And uh, my father came to you one day and saying,
- 2:59Speaker 2: you know, there's heart an these thing YouTube I get
- 3:02Speaker 2: just started around them. You should do a podcast you
- 3:05Speaker 2: love sports, And I said I was going to listen
- 3:07Speaker 2: to that. He said, well, see what happens. I went
- 3:10Speaker 2: to radio Shack at the time. I bought a little mic.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I mean, you wouldn't even believe it was you'd plug
- 3:16Speaker 2: it in the earphone jack right. And I sat there
- 3:19Speaker 2: every day and I did a show and I streamed
- 3:21Speaker 2: it on Twitter on a little app called spreaker. Nobody
- 3:25Speaker 2: nobody listened except me. I listened to it back, but
- 3:29Speaker 2: it wasn't about people listening. It was just about understanding
- 3:31Speaker 2: how to conversate myself. They're talking for a half one
- 3:35Speaker 2: power straight.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 2: And then eventually I started working doing some offshore sports
- 3:39Speaker 2: betting stuff, and I just kept doing it. The way
- 3:43Speaker 2: you grow doing content is doing it consistency. Whether you're
- 3:47Speaker 2: building an Instagram, a TikTok, a Twitter, a podcast, you
- 3:51Speaker 2: just got to keep doing it, and eventually you get
- 3:54Speaker 2: your own show. Then they start paying you, and then
- 3:57Speaker 2: you grow social media. And I get in social media
- 3:59Speaker 2: at the beginning, you know, I was two thousand and nine,
- 4:01Speaker 2: I opened a Twitter account. So yeah, it's uh, it's
- 4:05Speaker 2: been a long road, but longstery short. It was just
- 4:08Speaker 2: about advancing. I start a show, I get paid, grow
- 4:12Speaker 2: the following, find a big media company, go from there.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Okay, and Barstool I just kind of giant. I mean
- 4:18Speaker 3: that was giant Barstool.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that came around like twenty eighteen. I had had
- 4:23Speaker 2: some connections to people there, and you know, one of
- 4:26Speaker 2: them said, I think you're pretty funny. You have a
- 4:28Speaker 2: look to you. And I remember I went to New
- 4:31Speaker 2: York and met with Dave Portnoy and he he just
- 4:34Speaker 2: kind of took a liking to me. And I've been
- 4:36Speaker 2: connected with them seven eight years now, off and.
- 4:38Speaker 3: On, and you're still friends with everyone there and you
- 4:40Speaker 3: still are you still? Are you working with them again
- 4:42Speaker 3: or no?
- 4:42Speaker 2: Yeah, So this fall I'm actually going to begin another
- 4:45Speaker 2: show with them. It's actually a show with a guy
- 4:48Speaker 2: I hate.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Okay, really yeah, it's not the guy that came after
- 4:51Speaker 3: you want something?
- 4:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I seen someone.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I seen a video of some guy like that. It
- 4:54Speaker 3: was at the final It was real, but it looked
- 4:56Speaker 3: real to me.
- 4:56Speaker 2: No, it was very real. It was at the Foxwoods Casino.
- 4:59Speaker 2: In fact, Like came out after him physically, just as
- 5:03Speaker 2: Alan came in and Like sat down. They said to me,
- 5:07Speaker 2: we want you to come in and do some picks.
- 5:09Speaker 2: We were at the Foxwoods for a poker tournament. It
- 5:12Speaker 2: was a barstool tournament. And I go up there and
- 5:15Speaker 2: they said, come to this room. We want you to
- 5:17Speaker 2: come in. He ain't gonna do nothing. He doesn't know
- 5:19Speaker 2: you're coming though. Just it'll be okay, we have security here.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I said, it's probably not going to be good. Like
- 5:25Speaker 2: that wasn't right. So they sit me directly next to him,
- 5:29Speaker 2: and he gets up out of a chair. What came
- 5:32Speaker 2: after I just had a notice, said you know, hey,
- 5:34Speaker 2: how are you? And he just that's what he said.
- 5:39Speaker 3: And I jumped out in the chair and went after it.
- 5:41Speaker 2: And this got real bid because he's this is the
- 5:43Speaker 2: kind of low life this ship bag is waiting them.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Well it gets to that, okay, okay, he has mentioned
- 5:51Speaker 2: my deceased father, my sister. He is a awful person
- 5:59Speaker 2: that he follows me, this guy, and he like it's
- 6:04Speaker 2: it's just gotten really bad. But they want me to
- 6:06Speaker 2: do a show. I'm still at the point where it's like,
- 6:08Speaker 2: do I really look because I can't hit the guy
- 6:11Speaker 2: because it's this is a different world than like the street,
- 6:15Speaker 2: you know, Yeah, it's different. But it's been a long
- 6:18Speaker 2: road there.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Has him high, he's he works for Dave, he works
- 6:21Speaker 1: for barstool, he's on the payroll.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Yeah, he's just I get it though, Like they're probably
- 6:26Speaker 4: thinking that dynamic is gonna make great team.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but at some point I have to have, you know,
- 6:32Speaker 2: the respect and ethics that I have to say. Enough's enough. Sure,
- 6:36Speaker 2: but he'll apologize. I'm never gonna do it again. I've
- 6:40Speaker 2: never said nothing about his family nothing. I don't do that.
- 6:42Speaker 2: But he said to him, I watched it. Yeah it
- 6:45Speaker 2: was serious, but that's but that's not the first time
- 6:48Speaker 2: he's done that. And we've been offered to fight in
- 6:50Speaker 2: a ring multiple times and he says no every time.
- 6:53Speaker 2: He is a fucking punk and he'll only do when
- 6:56Speaker 2: he knows he's not gonna go too far. Oh my god,
- 6:58Speaker 2: that's what he does. So I fought. I've already fought
- 7:01Speaker 2: in that.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Didn't you fight someone up the barstool?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Jersey Jerry, Yeah, Jersey Jersey, Virginia. Oh, that's right. We
- 7:07Speaker 2: made a lot of money him and I seventy thousand
- 7:10Speaker 2: pay per view buys. Wow, that's in West Virginia. Yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 2: it was in a ton it was in an arena.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It was like a we walked in. It was like
- 7:20Speaker 2: a pay per view event. It was you could buy it.
- 7:21Speaker 2: It was. It's quite the quite the thing.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Wow, wow wow crazy.
- 7:26Speaker 1: So so you had that, you had that little bit
- 7:28Speaker 1: of a fall out there for I see report, but
- 7:30Speaker 1: you can't write back with him. Now you're getting back
- 7:32Speaker 1: into into it with with them, guys.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I go see if that works. I don't know if
- 7:36Speaker 2: the kid will ever actually do the show anyway, who
- 7:38Speaker 2: the hell knows. But I always keep all the options
- 7:40Speaker 2: open for myself. You know.
- 7:41Speaker 3: So, I am a fan of the mafia genre.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I used to love those A and E shows Bill
- 7:47Speaker 1: Bill Curtis at the other thing that was, I watched
- 7:50Speaker 1: every one of them, and I would watch them over
- 7:52Speaker 1: and over again, like I know every one about the
- 7:54Speaker 1: Philly ones New York Warnes. I love those shows, especially
- 7:57Speaker 1: the Philly ones, where I thought were unbelievable.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:59Speaker 1: So now this nude genre of let's just face it,
- 8:04Speaker 1: rats correct that come out. It's you know, one after
- 8:08Speaker 1: one I'll name the big ones first, Michael Franchise, Sammy
- 8:12Speaker 1: de Boll, Jimmy Current, Lendra, Mikey.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Scars, dom Cha Cali. I can go on and on
- 8:18Speaker 3: and on. These guys are all rats that have shows.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And platforms now and now they're making money from it.
- 8:25Speaker 1: They walk around taking photos autographs. I think, I think,
- 8:29Speaker 1: what's his name franchise makes.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Twenty million a year, A lot of money. It's a guess,
- 8:33Speaker 3: but yeah.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I mean he goes around the world given speeches and
- 8:37Speaker 1: and you know, my thing is I like the real ones,
- 8:42Speaker 1: the real shows that are from the guys on the outside.
- 8:45Speaker 1: A lot of my guys that know this genre have
- 8:48Speaker 1: a guy in Scranton. He says that guy is great
- 8:50Speaker 1: because he talks about it from an unbiased There's another guy,
- 8:53Speaker 1: James something. But they're these guys. You guys are talked
- 8:56Speaker 1: about it differently than someone would to make them elves
- 9:00Speaker 1: look good.
- 9:00Speaker 3: And I didn't do anything wrong. They were gonna do
- 9:02Speaker 3: this to me. That's why I read it whatever it
- 9:03Speaker 3: may be.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But you had this this uh this genre, you know,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you captured it, and I thought it was fantastic. Three
- 9:12Speaker 1: weeks ago you quit. You just said that's it. You got,
- 9:15Speaker 1: you know, six figure subscribers. You got to be making
- 9:18Speaker 1: money with this. I have some good money, I would think.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's worked well for me.
- 9:22Speaker 3: And you know, I see your views.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You've got millions of views and you just decided just
- 9:26Speaker 1: to get out of it now. Of course, if you
- 9:29Speaker 1: read the comments, some guys say, well, someone a wise guy,
- 9:32Speaker 1: perp finally.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Got to him. Let me tell you something.
- 9:34Speaker 2: They would have got to me a long time ago
- 9:36Speaker 2: if that were the case.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Now listen, So you mentioned like Sammuel Bull, he's
- 9:42Speaker 2: threatened me multiple times, said I don't know if we
- 9:45Speaker 2: can can I curse?
- 9:46Speaker 3: Yeah? He lives in Arizona, so just keep it, keep
- 9:49Speaker 3: it behind the door.
- 9:50Speaker 2: He's a video like this said, if you ever come
- 9:53Speaker 2: to Arizona, I will make you get on your knees
- 9:57Speaker 2: and wow. Uh Dominis, the colleagues threatened to kill me
- 10:01Speaker 2: with a nail gun. They've all threatened me multiply, by
- 10:04Speaker 2: the way.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Their killers dominic killers too.
- 10:07Speaker 2: They know where I'm at.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but they are rats.
- 10:11Speaker 2: So it doesn't matter what you are, how tough you are.
- 10:13Speaker 2: At the end of the day, when you were presented
- 10:16Speaker 2: with what happened to you through your mistakes, you through
- 10:20Speaker 2: your friends under the bus, your family under the bus.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Why quit the show though, was just more that it
- 10:27Speaker 2: was a beginning of middle and an end. I had
- 10:30Speaker 2: always envisioned ending the show. I started it as a
- 10:34Speaker 2: hobby and it's became part a big part of my
- 10:37Speaker 2: life in a positive way. But there's a lot of
- 10:39Speaker 2: negative parts of it too. Whyse guys watch my show?
- 10:44Speaker 2: Definitely do like I said, When I go to the
- 10:47Speaker 2: Borgada and play, people come up to me, I know
- 10:50Speaker 2: who they are. And again, ninety of it it's I
- 10:54Speaker 2: really like it. They like being talked about. A lot
- 10:55Speaker 2: of them, you know. But it's just a lot of politics,
- 10:59Speaker 2: you know. And I just kind of got to a
- 11:01Speaker 2: point with the show where I was done with it,
- 11:03Speaker 2: you know, I felt like I'd achieved it. Well, I
- 11:05Speaker 2: go back to it at some point. Maybe I'm still gonna,
- 11:08Speaker 2: you know, be involved with it and understand what's going on.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Maybe I'll return someday, but I needed to take some time.
- 11:14Speaker 3: He walked away from a lot of money, John, he
- 11:16Speaker 3: walked away from like, yeah, millions of views. I'm telling
- 11:19Speaker 3: you this.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I mean, I still have the Instagram account, it's I mean,
- 11:21Speaker 2: I still get millions of views on that. You know,
- 11:24Speaker 2: It's yeah, it's fun.
- 11:26Speaker 3: But I got this.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I've always wanted to ask this question, but never have
- 11:30Speaker 1: had the chance to ask anyone like you this question.
- 11:32Speaker 1: So these guys that ratted people out, all of these
- 11:35Speaker 1: guys like I'll use the guy Burrello, Jean Burrello, who
- 11:39Speaker 1: you've had on your show. While you guys are friends, right.
- 11:42Speaker 2: The biggest mistake I ever made when I started it
- 11:44Speaker 2: was like you just talked about you're dealing with the mafia, right,
- 11:48Speaker 2: these people who they don't talk publicly, they don't even
- 11:52Speaker 2: admit to the fact that they're in it, right, So
- 11:54Speaker 2: it's not like a gang or something where you can
- 11:55Speaker 2: like shadow them or something or whatever. So I have
- 12:00Speaker 2: to sometimes talk to those types of people. And when
- 12:03Speaker 2: I first started it, they were the only ones that
- 12:06Speaker 2: were there. The biggest mistake I made was ever talking
- 12:09Speaker 2: to any of those people. Oh wow, they are scum.
- 12:13Speaker 2: They are snakes. They will throw me anybody under the
- 12:16Speaker 2: They threw their own friends under the bus, some of
- 12:18Speaker 2: them through their own family under the bus. They're just
- 12:21Speaker 2: not good people to be around. They're slimy people, they're
- 12:25Speaker 2: they're fringe society you don't want to be around. But yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 2: unfortunately they were part of the business for me that
- 12:31Speaker 2: I had to deal with. If I were telling someone
- 12:34Speaker 2: that wanted to get into that world and do that
- 12:36Speaker 2: type of content, I was strongly advised don't speak to them.
- 12:39Speaker 2: It may work out views wise, but don't put in
- 12:43Speaker 2: front your ethics or the way you think to get views.
- 12:47Speaker 2: And that's one thing I did.
- 12:49Speaker 1: And you've had these guys on their shows. You've had
- 12:51Speaker 1: Sammy on your show.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I've had Sammy. I've Sammy was on my show for
- 12:55Speaker 2: two hours. Wow.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Wow.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I had Birello Collie. I've had guys that never spoke before.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I had a guy, Lewis Kasman on who was essentially
- 13:06Speaker 2: John Gotti. He was the confidant of John. He's always
- 13:11Speaker 2: with John Gotti was like his adopted son. I've spoken
- 13:15Speaker 2: to all sorts of people. I've spoken to people that
- 13:18Speaker 2: will never speak. They've been sources of mine. It's they
- 13:23Speaker 2: still call me. I could still get back into it
- 13:25Speaker 2: at an a time, but it was just time to go.
- 13:27Speaker 1: My original question was how do they go around and
- 13:31Speaker 1: the families that they have ruined, the friends they ratted out.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Are we just in an.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Era of had the cameras on every corner and no
- 13:39Speaker 1: one's doing that. There's no tough guys left or what.
- 13:41Speaker 2: It's not that there's no tough guys left. There's a
- 13:43Speaker 2: lot of tough guys. There's a lot of if you
- 13:45Speaker 2: go to benson Hurst, if you go to South Philadelphia,
- 13:48Speaker 2: if you go to you know, Ozone Park, Queen's there's
- 13:51Speaker 2: still a lot of guys left. But as you said,
- 13:54Speaker 2: the federal government has newtered the mafia very well. That's
- 13:58Speaker 2: one really good thing this government's done is they've taken
- 14:02Speaker 2: people off the street. They've instituted a law called the
- 14:04Speaker 2: Rico Act where even if you're an associate, you can
- 14:10Speaker 2: get hemmed up the boss everybody underneath him, and violence
- 14:13Speaker 2: is off limits. The mafia hasn't killed another mobster in
- 14:17Speaker 2: over a decade. Wow, really, yes, the people that have
- 14:20Speaker 2: been killed. So, there was a guy in twenty nineteen,
- 14:23Speaker 2: Frank Calli in Staten Island. He was the acting boss
- 14:27Speaker 2: of the Gambino crime family. He was killed in his
- 14:29Speaker 2: front lawn. But no, the individual that killed him was
- 14:33Speaker 2: this deranged guy who was attempting to have a relationship
- 14:38Speaker 2: with a relative of his. They had made kind of hay.
- 14:41Speaker 2: At one point he told him to stay away from
- 14:43Speaker 2: the niece. The kid wanted to impress people. He wanted
- 14:45Speaker 2: to be a wise guy at some point, and he
- 14:48Speaker 2: thought through his deranged mind. He's now at a mental
- 14:50Speaker 2: facility in New York. Wow, he got life in prison
- 14:53Speaker 2: for that.
- 14:53Speaker 3: That was a big story when he died.
- 14:55Speaker 2: It hasn't happened for a long time, and it won't.
- 14:58Speaker 2: The mafia looks at the mafia now as it's a business.
- 15:01Speaker 2: There's legitimate businesses. They'll do book making and stuff that's
- 15:04Speaker 2: not going to result in the long term pinch. They
- 15:07Speaker 2: may got three four years, but they'll deal with it.
- 15:09Speaker 2: A lot of it's legitimate business now, construction during the
- 15:13Speaker 2: merchant loan business through businesses, legal loan sharking essentially. Sure,
- 15:18Speaker 2: so yeah, the mob is around, but it's not what
- 15:21Speaker 2: it once was, Like what this city used to be.
- 15:23Speaker 1: You you hang out in like like Margate, right, like
- 15:27Speaker 1: Longport Margate. These are places by Atlantic City.
- 15:29Speaker 2: A couple of times when I'm in Atlantic, that's.
- 15:32Speaker 1: That's where they all go in the in the summertime, right,
- 15:34Speaker 1: I mean, but there's no.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I'm not into life. Okay, I'm not. I've never come
- 15:40Speaker 2: on my show and said I'm a tough guy. Don't
- 15:42Speaker 2: do this. I'll do that. I don't. I'm a regular person.
- 15:46Speaker 2: If you look, if you're Sammy Orvland, you say something
- 15:49Speaker 2: to me, I'm going to respond. I'm not a sucker.
- 15:51Speaker 2: I'm not going to sit here and let you belittle me.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Who are you? I mean, you've who are you to
- 15:57Speaker 2: talk to me? I mean I've been some of these
- 15:59Speaker 2: guys say that I'm I'm not honorable, I'm not law.
- 16:02Speaker 2: This is coming from you. You've put eighty people in prison.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Guys will die there because of you.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Didn't kill a innocent kid.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Alan Kaiser. Yeah, in nineteen seventy nine, sixteen years old. Yeah,
- 16:15Speaker 2: and then he blamed it on his best friend who
- 16:18Speaker 2: he killed as well. He is a sub human. It's
- 16:24Speaker 2: really a shame of where we are in society that
- 16:26Speaker 2: a person like that is actually accepted. If he walked
- 16:29Speaker 2: in here right now or in this but most people
- 16:33Speaker 2: would have to take a picture with it. We live
- 16:35Speaker 2: in it. But but I blame film one. Some of
- 16:39Speaker 2: the greatest films of all time are about the mafia.
- 16:41Speaker 2: We've glorified people who are not meant to be glorified.
- 16:45Speaker 2: They just aren't your father, my father, his father, and
- 16:49Speaker 2: his father. I don't know them, but I'm sure they're
- 16:52Speaker 2: more glorified than these people. And that's where I when
- 16:55Speaker 2: I started the show, it's kind of the last thing.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I'll say, I had a different view on these people.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Like I would see John Gotti and I would think, Wow,
- 17:02Speaker 2: you know, he's cool, you know, yeah, But I in
- 17:05Speaker 2: five years found out these are people that would steal
- 17:08Speaker 2: from me, you, your mother, your sister. There are leeches on society.
- 17:13Speaker 2: And my goal is to kind of teach that the
- 17:18Speaker 2: movies are just filmed. They should not be immortalized. But
- 17:20Speaker 2: they do a good job of immortalizing them. If you
- 17:23Speaker 2: watch Sopranos, right, yep, Tony's a bad guy, but he's
- 17:28Speaker 2: not as bad as some of the other people in
- 17:29Speaker 2: the show, so you learn to like kind of enjoy him.
- 17:32Speaker 2: When you watch Goodfellas, they make Henry Hill look away.
- 17:37Speaker 2: He courts Karen right in the Kopa and they make
- 17:40Speaker 2: these people look great, and they surround him with other
- 17:42Speaker 2: bad people Tommy, Jimmy, and by the end you're like
- 17:49Speaker 2: almost rooting for them.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Yeah, they for the bad guys. Yeah, we're rooting for
- 17:53Speaker 1: the bad guys. There's no question at all. John did movies.
- 17:56Speaker 3: We quote, we quote see you know, we quote daily.
- 17:59Speaker 3: This is the stuff we quote. I mean, it's a
- 18:01Speaker 3: it is what it is.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Thinking about it though, which from Jeff's perspective what he
- 18:04Speaker 1: just said, they're not good guys. These are the guys
- 18:08Speaker 1: that you're that you're rooting for. You're rooting for the
- 18:09Speaker 1: bad guys in the movies.
- 18:10Speaker 2: They basically reel you in as an audience, right, Yeah,
- 18:13Speaker 2: Like again, Tony Soprano is a bad person. He's killed people,
- 18:16Speaker 2: He killed people on the show. He cheats on his wife,
- 18:19Speaker 2: he's a racer, he says a lot of bad things,
- 18:20Speaker 2: does a lot of bad things. But there are other
- 18:22Speaker 2: people in the show like Richie.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Or Ralph, Richard right Stone, cold killer, right black guys.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Right, so they make you kind of side with him
- 18:31Speaker 2: always if you notice. And by the end you're like, wow,
- 18:34Speaker 2: yeah Tony's cool, he's a nice father, and it's like,
- 18:37Speaker 2: well not really.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I show you the human side of him for a minute. Yeah, No,
- 18:42Speaker 1: that that's some fantastic points. Now I will tell you
- 18:46Speaker 1: too though, I actually learned a lot about the Mafia
- 18:50Speaker 1: from watching these podcasts. That Samue Bowl originally had something
- 18:53Speaker 1: called Our Thing or something like that.
- 18:55Speaker 3: It was great.
- 18:56Speaker 1: It was like eight or ten episodes. Ever it was,
- 18:58Speaker 1: and now I don't know how much of it was true.
- 19:00Speaker 1: It was very entertaining to me. I thought it was,
- 19:02Speaker 1: you know, to show you things that we would never know,
- 19:05Speaker 1: as you know, guys outsiders. So there has been some things,
- 19:08Speaker 1: but they're always from all of these podcasters, always from
- 19:12Speaker 1: their perspective.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I'll give you, I'll give you behind the scenes of Gravana,
- 19:14Speaker 2: the type of person that he is. Right when I
- 19:17Speaker 2: interviewed him, it was in New York City at Barstool Studios.
- 19:20Speaker 2: He gets on the screen, it's like a big stream
- 19:22Speaker 2: like this and he goes, kid, how you doing. I
- 19:26Speaker 2: said good. He said, favor, don't mention my brother in law,
- 19:33Speaker 2: and don't mention that.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Kid like the kidd or his brother. He kills brother
- 19:37Speaker 3: in law too.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Yeah, he killed his own brother in law. If you
- 19:40Speaker 2: want in a while, I'll tell you, oh sure, and
- 19:43Speaker 2: he'll he won't ever argue this because he knows the truth.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Samuel Bull's brother in law was a person called Nicholas Shabbetta.
- 19:51Speaker 2: His wife was Deborah, Sammy's wife. Nicholas Shabetta was homosexual,
- 19:57Speaker 2: no nomosexual, very much out there from the neighborhood. It's
- 20:04Speaker 2: been longly suspected that Gravano was bisexual. It's common knowledge
- 20:10Speaker 2: in Brooklyn. Wow, you can read about it. You could
- 20:12Speaker 2: search it. Your post has written about it, come out
- 20:15Speaker 2: in books. Sammy was in some sort of relationship with
- 20:18Speaker 2: a person called Jack, who was also killed by Sammy
- 20:22Speaker 2: if you look up his murders. Sammy then killed Nick
- 20:25Speaker 2: Shabetta because Nick knew about this. Now, I talk to
- 20:29Speaker 2: people from that neighborhood. In fact, Mikey Scars will tell
- 20:33Speaker 2: you this, because Mikey Scars is from that neighborhood. Nicky
- 20:36Speaker 2: Shabbetta was not in the streets. He was a regular guy.
- 20:39Speaker 2: But Sammy, the scum that he was, went to Paul
- 20:42Speaker 2: Costelano and said, this kid's a drug dealer. He's a
- 20:45Speaker 2: bad look for the families. Whip me's with my family.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I need him dead. Paul said, do what you gotta do.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Wow.
- 20:51Speaker 2: So he just killed him, shaved it off like it
- 20:54Speaker 2: was so.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Right away when you met him. Don't talk about your
- 20:57Speaker 1: brother don't talk about the.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Kid, he said, don't he that. If you bring that up,
- 21:00Speaker 2: I'll hang up. And you know, when you're doing these
- 21:05Speaker 2: types of things, and if you actually watch the interview.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Towards the end, I started bringing up things that I
- 21:10Speaker 2: knew he hates Mikey Scars. I brought Mikey.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Scars same family, right, you both Gambino, both Gambino.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah. In fact, Sammy was at Mikey Scars making ceremony
- 21:20Speaker 2: Christmas Eve nineteen ninety or nineteen eighty nine, I think,
- 21:24Speaker 2: But yeah, they don't like each other. But that's that's
- 21:27Speaker 2: the reason the show started. I wanted to take the
- 21:30Speaker 2: stories that these people tell you do the research. I
- 21:34Speaker 2: get FOY, I pay for fo your Requests Freedom Information Act.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I look through these indictments. I go on to PACER,
- 21:40Speaker 2: the government website, and I look through this shit. Oh wow,
- 21:43Speaker 2: you know, there's a lot of stories that are told.
- 21:46Speaker 2: And look, a lot of these guys in the streets say,
- 21:48Speaker 2: you know, thank you for telling those stories, because nobody
- 21:51Speaker 2: tells them the right way. We hear their side, and
- 21:53Speaker 2: that's right.
- 21:54Speaker 3: So you're actually doing research by them.
- 21:56Speaker 2: But I do also talk about the life today and
- 21:58Speaker 2: that's frown upon him.
- 22:00Speaker 3: What what I really liked?
- 22:02Speaker 1: You did an unbelievable expose on these NBA players that
- 22:07Speaker 1: were playing in the poker games and that we're betting
- 22:10Speaker 1: they were getting taking lay downs in sports and trying
- 22:13Speaker 1: to make their entourage money or something. I thought it
- 22:15Speaker 1: was fantastic. Now, this last thing it just come out
- 22:18Speaker 1: the other day about Malik Beasley, right now, do you
- 22:20Speaker 1: know anything about that yet?
- 22:21Speaker 3: Are you?
- 22:22Speaker 2: So? It's all to go. They're all the same case. Essentially,
- 22:25Speaker 2: they're different cases, but they're all the same. They're all
- 22:27Speaker 2: the same idea a player. We'll start with the players
- 22:30Speaker 2: a player. All these players involved, even guys like Billups,
- 22:34Speaker 2: Damon Jones who are coaches. Now, all of these people
- 22:37Speaker 2: have documented gambling problems. Chauncey Billups has played poker for years. Okay,
- 22:42Speaker 2: so what these guys will do. And it's not mob guys,
- 22:44Speaker 2: it's just poker players.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Not a bad it's not bad.
- 22:48Speaker 2: But it's schemers who are scammers who get in They
- 22:54Speaker 2: get in debt to these people and they'll go up
- 22:56Speaker 2: to them and say, look, you will meet eight hundred
- 22:58Speaker 2: k up. Can't get your hands on eight hundred k
- 23:02Speaker 2: liquid so do this this date, you have eight rebounds,
- 23:07Speaker 2: just don't just go out of a game early or something.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Wow, Well, and I'll take a hundred thousand.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Offers, right, And they say, well, you know, no one's
- 23:15Speaker 2: gonna know anyway, just do it. And it's a year
- 23:17Speaker 2: or two before the administration started cracking down on it.
- 23:20Speaker 2: They don't think they're gonna get caught. Yeah, nobody's doing this.
- 23:23Speaker 2: So let's say Alan Boston's here, right, and Alan's in
- 23:26Speaker 2: the NBA. If he's making twenty million dollars a year,
- 23:28Speaker 2: there's absolutely no reason if he's not a gambler, to
- 23:31Speaker 2: participate in a situation like sure, unless he's there's something
- 23:36Speaker 2: wrong with him or something. There's no right person in
- 23:38Speaker 2: mind that would do that. If you're a straight guy
- 23:41Speaker 2: doing stuff, you're not gonna get involved with stuff like
- 23:43Speaker 2: that for a fee thousand dollars or one hundred thousand dollars.
- 23:45Speaker 2: It's to shave money off. All the people are documented,
- 23:47Speaker 2: but Malik Beasley, it was all rebound props. He was again,
- 23:54Speaker 2: he knew what his rebound prop was. And if you
- 23:56Speaker 2: watch some of the tape, I mean.
- 23:57Speaker 3: You could see he's obvious.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Yeah, even like points spreads. Now there was no point
- 24:01Speaker 2: spreads in the indictment, but like he was going through
- 24:04Speaker 2: a teammate of his, a guy Ed Davis, who had
- 24:07Speaker 2: an agent was there's an agent in the paperwork. His
- 24:10Speaker 2: name is Zamarano. He then had a conduit to known betters.
- 24:15Speaker 2: There's one guy called Big Rob. He goes by Big
- 24:18Speaker 2: Rob style. Been involved with the federal gunment before, another
- 24:21Speaker 2: scam artist banned from all casinos around here. He was
- 24:25Speaker 2: one of the betters and they were just going to
- 24:28Speaker 2: sportsbooks and betting it and they and there's text messages
- 24:31Speaker 2: they're talking about, you know, did you see he you know,
- 24:34Speaker 2: the end of the game, he got the rebound with
- 24:36Speaker 2: six seconds last or whatever. It's all in indictment. The
- 24:39Speaker 2: Feds know everything. They're not going to come to you
- 24:41Speaker 2: without a case already being made. But the other ones
- 24:43Speaker 2: that were done, it's all the same situations. Terry Rozier,
- 24:48Speaker 2: you know, Johntay Porter and all these people will be
- 24:50Speaker 2: banned for life, they'll never play in the NBA game.
- 24:52Speaker 3: It wasn't he getting like twenty five million a year?
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 24:55Speaker 3: Crazy? Had he made a quarter of a billion dollars
- 24:58Speaker 3: Yet I don't know what the it is that they
- 25:00Speaker 3: would actually they owe money. They owe money, right, it's
- 25:04Speaker 3: that set.
- 25:05Speaker 2: I never factor that in and you have to think
- 25:07Speaker 2: about it. In one of the indictments for Beasley, he's
- 25:12Speaker 2: basically scrounging to get two thousand dollars liquid for something
- 25:17Speaker 2: he didn't have it.
- 25:18Speaker 3: That's unbelievable.
- 25:20Speaker 2: And again, like I understand, like if you make let's
- 25:22Speaker 2: just say ten million a year, like you're really gonna
- 25:24Speaker 2: make like six And like, look, these guys spend a
- 25:27Speaker 2: lot of money. Yeah right, they have cars blaying, you know,
- 25:34Speaker 2: crazy quick. So and again a lot of that money
- 25:36Speaker 2: is not liquid too. It might be in investments things
- 25:39Speaker 2: like that, and some of them have gambling problems. And again,
- 25:42Speaker 2: if it's just some random guy, look, if it's some
- 25:45Speaker 2: mob guy, maybe it's like, well, I don't want to
- 25:47Speaker 2: deal with them. But if it's some gambler that you know,
- 25:50Speaker 2: like a lot of the people in these indictments all
- 25:51Speaker 2: know each other. And if we go back to the
- 25:53Speaker 2: one last year that I was on VS. With You
- 25:55Speaker 2: with yep, that was more of it was sports, but
- 26:02Speaker 2: there was another side of it poker.
- 26:04Speaker 3: They were cheating people on poker. Right, Maybe tell the people.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Now again, this is where I thought the Feds did
- 26:10Speaker 2: kind of a poor job. They're all about headlines. We
- 26:13Speaker 2: know that, that's why they did these cases. That said,
- 26:17Speaker 2: I found no connection whatsoever between Chauncey Billups and Damon
- 26:23Speaker 2: Jones with the Mafia. They didn't play in the New
- 26:27Speaker 2: York games. There's essentially roving games. There's some out here.
- 26:31Speaker 2: They're in LA and in New York they have these
- 26:35Speaker 2: as well.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Sure I played in them. John's played in them.
- 26:38Speaker 2: They're in like really nice luxury apartments. The one thing
- 26:43Speaker 2: the Mafia still does very well is they still control
- 26:47Speaker 2: those games. It's New Jersey, the Bronx Harlem and if
- 26:51Speaker 2: you look at both games, one was on the Upper
- 26:53Speaker 2: east Side and one was on the lower east side,
- 26:56Speaker 2: eighty Washington Street, very pristine dress. Okay, that's two families
- 27:02Speaker 2: run it in the same They have guys in there
- 27:04Speaker 2: every night, and they're making a lot of money through
- 27:06Speaker 2: the rake, who makes it a league. But what they
- 27:09Speaker 2: were doing is cheating it.
- 27:12Speaker 3: The rake wasn't enough.
- 27:13Speaker 2: No, they had their shufflers, which.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Automatic shufflers though correct.
- 27:17Speaker 2: And I spoke to a guy that was in the game.
- 27:19Speaker 2: He lost money. He said, you don't understand how much
- 27:23Speaker 2: money they make straight in these games. There was no
- 27:26Speaker 2: reason to do this. But what I also found in
- 27:29Speaker 2: these poker games is there's a also shady group underneath
- 27:35Speaker 2: that are essentially like bringing players in and they're like
- 27:39Speaker 2: crypto sports better young guys. They're in that sports betting
- 27:43Speaker 2: world and they are major scammers. Some of the biggest
- 27:47Speaker 2: scammers in this country right now are in those indictments.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Shane Hennon is one, and I will poker. I guarantee
- 27:56Speaker 2: Shane Hennen right now is in one of these games.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Shane Hennon is one of the biggest informants in this country.
- 28:04Speaker 2: He has been an informant for twenty years.
- 28:06Speaker 3: He's a non informant walking around the World series.
- 28:08Speaker 2: In fact, yes, in fact, I spoke to a man
- 28:11Speaker 2: from Pittsburgh back in like the late two thousands. Hennan
- 28:16Speaker 2: was selling cocaine. That's what he was involved in at
- 28:19Speaker 2: that time. He got arrested in Pittsburgh. His connect he
- 28:25Speaker 2: cooperated against a very nice person. I spoke to him.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Franko Badini is his name. He just got out last year.
- 28:33Speaker 2: He did almost twenty years inside WOW or like seventeen
- 28:37Speaker 2: or so. And he said Shane Hennon was the number
- 28:41Speaker 2: one reason I went to prison. And again he said,
- 28:44Speaker 2: I made mistakes. I was a kid back then, and
- 28:47Speaker 2: he's like Footy Now he's got kids. His kids have
- 28:50Speaker 2: grown up without him, which again that sucks for them.
- 28:54Speaker 2: And Hennan is a guy. He went to then Philadelphia,
- 28:58Speaker 2: he got in with people, and he basically just moved
- 29:02Speaker 2: from place to place. And if you notice in all
- 29:04Speaker 2: these indictments, if you read the one with Johntay Porter,
- 29:07Speaker 2: you read the one with Billups, you read all these indictments,
- 29:10Speaker 2: there's one name that's in all of them, Jane Hennon.
- 29:14Speaker 2: And the cherry on top of this is when all
- 29:17Speaker 2: these guys got arrested the Johntay Porter case. Last year,
- 29:21Speaker 2: Hennan was at Harry Reid attempting to board a one
- 29:25Speaker 2: way flight to Columbia. Okay, now, let me ask you something.
- 29:30Speaker 2: If you're indicted by the FEDS and you go to
- 29:33Speaker 2: the airport, what are you attempting to do? Yeah, with
- 29:36Speaker 2: the one way to leave exactly now, he claims he
- 29:39Speaker 2: was going there for cosmetic surgery. Now, a person who's
- 29:44Speaker 2: indicted by the FEDS and is attempting to flee the country,
- 29:48Speaker 2: that would have. That's a definition of a flight risk.
- 29:52Speaker 2: The next day he was released randomly, and then he
- 29:56Speaker 2: gets arrested again. In this Billups case, someone reaches out
- 30:01Speaker 2: to me a week later and says, I just saw
- 30:03Speaker 2: Hendon at the win and he's if you go to
- 30:07Speaker 2: LA with some of these big high stakes games, he's
- 30:11Speaker 2: playing in them. He was called out by by a
- 30:14Speaker 2: big time player in one of the Vegas games. I
- 30:18Speaker 2: talked to prominent poker players that know him. Some of
- 30:21Speaker 2: the other defendants. There's a guy in the the case
- 30:23Speaker 2: out of the Billups case, a guy Curtis Meeks. He's
- 30:27Speaker 2: a known He's the one that got the shuffling machines.
- 30:31Speaker 2: He's been I mean on streams, I mean known scammer.
- 30:36Speaker 2: All these guys a Mirawattie, another scammer.
- 30:39Speaker 3: I know that name from that case.
- 30:41Speaker 2: They're all scammers.
- 30:42Speaker 3: So these guys he actually had.
- 30:43Speaker 1: The shuffling machine where me, I wud look like WO
- 30:46Speaker 1: look like a random shuffle, but it wasn't.
- 30:48Speaker 2: You would never know.
- 30:48Speaker 3: You would never know.
- 30:49Speaker 2: And from what I was told throughout Texas there are
- 30:52Speaker 2: card rooms. They're in there too.
- 30:55Speaker 1: That One of my questions here was what do you
- 30:58Speaker 1: think about home private home games today, nothing like like
- 31:01Speaker 1: a one two, no limit bigger games that are you know,
- 31:05Speaker 1: sitting down with thousands?
- 31:06Speaker 3: How can you play in a game like that.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Well, again, hearing this stuff, we have to understand, like
- 31:11Speaker 2: the fact that they did the shuffling stuff is extremely
- 31:15Speaker 2: dumb because those games, again were very well done. They're
- 31:19Speaker 2: they're making a ton of money and the Mob. Actually
- 31:23Speaker 2: I don't feel bad for them, but they actually got
- 31:25Speaker 2: kind of because from what I understand, these guys kind
- 31:27Speaker 2: of did it under the realm of them not really
- 31:29Speaker 2: knowing that much. They were just kind of overseers, like
- 31:33Speaker 2: they would show up and take their cut and leave. Sure,
- 31:36Speaker 2: now some of the mob defendants in this case, one
- 31:39Speaker 2: of the defendants decided to start a rival game because
- 31:41Speaker 2: they got into it. They went and beat them with
- 31:43Speaker 2: a pipe. So like that's where it got bad for
- 31:46Speaker 2: the Mob guys. But again I asked someone that played
- 31:51Speaker 2: in these games. I said, going forward, like if you
- 31:54Speaker 2: were to play in a game like this, like what
- 31:57Speaker 2: what would you spot and what would you not do?
- 31:59Speaker 2: Or like what we someone won a spot, right, he said,
- 32:01Speaker 2: if you're in a game like that and there's everybody's
- 32:05Speaker 2: got their phones and stuff. It's probably being cheated.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Wow.
- 32:09Speaker 2: And like I've played on like Huster Casino. I played, Yeah,
- 32:13Speaker 2: you don't have your phone there. They take your phone
- 32:15Speaker 2: before you go on stream and it's the late thirty
- 32:17Speaker 2: minutes to prevent stuff like that. But yeah, I mean,
- 32:21Speaker 2: these games are all over the place tonight in New
- 32:23Speaker 2: York City. There are multiple games going on and there
- 32:26Speaker 2: every night of the week. But but the NBA and
- 32:29Speaker 2: some of these leagues have major problems because whether it's
- 32:32Speaker 2: the sport they're playing, all these guys gamble and now
- 32:36Speaker 2: it's so accepted in society that sure, and.
- 32:39Speaker 4: There's there's so many random stats that that don't matter,
- 32:42Speaker 4: like with Chase and how many is he going to
- 32:45Speaker 4: throw first pitch ball or strike.
- 32:47Speaker 2: It really doesn't affect the outcome of the games. And
- 32:50Speaker 2: that's what they're doing. Yeah, if you notice, like it's
- 32:53Speaker 2: never the point spread, it's never the total, it's steals, props, rebounds, props.
- 32:57Speaker 2: But my own thing is like, how did they get
- 33:00Speaker 2: down down? Yeah? But they were, Yeah, they were getting
- 33:03Speaker 2: a lot down.
- 33:03Speaker 1: They must have some kind of local guys they agree
- 33:05Speaker 1: to play with, and they're bet down down tens of thousands.
- 33:08Speaker 2: And I also say this, and I've said this since
- 33:09Speaker 2: this all started. I've told anyone that will listen, the
- 33:13Speaker 2: worst place for this right now. And we saw it
- 33:16Speaker 2: happen a few months after that original case where it
- 33:19Speaker 2: was a bunch of college players from like small little
- 33:22Speaker 2: schools Prairie View, A and m little schools. This is
- 33:26Speaker 2: a major problem in college football and basketball, where again
- 33:32Speaker 2: they have literal guys that look like your audio guy
- 33:36Speaker 2: that will just go up to guys in a college Hey,
- 33:39Speaker 2: you're a receiver or you're seing so right, you're not
- 33:43Speaker 2: making that much money. These are guys that are playing
- 33:45Speaker 2: at small schools, they're not making a ton of money.
- 33:47Speaker 2: They'll go to them and say, look, man, like, we'll
- 33:51Speaker 2: drop a twenty five k to your doorstep. Just do
- 33:55Speaker 2: something that we need. This is going on everywhere, and
- 33:58Speaker 2: we saw they were all arrested. There were players, I
- 34:01Speaker 2: think they were about twenty kids arrested. Brennan Sowersby. He
- 34:04Speaker 2: wasn't doing stuff like that. Gambling, major gambling problems. It's
- 34:09Speaker 2: only a matter of time that they didn't get to him. Yeah,
- 34:11Speaker 2: because he was the exact kind of kid you want.
- 34:13Speaker 2: He already has a gambling problem. He probably doesn't have
- 34:16Speaker 2: that much liquid. Yeah, get to him.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Wow, there's a gambling problem in every college in America.
- 34:21Speaker 1: I'm talking about gambling that people are gambling on the internet,
- 34:24Speaker 1: gambling on you know your website.
- 34:26Speaker 2: And that's why Brennan Sworersby will never play in the NFL.
- 34:28Speaker 2: He will be blacklisted like Colin kaepern because you have
- 34:32Speaker 2: to drop the hammer. Like Johntay Porter. They drop the
- 34:35Speaker 2: hammer on him. He'll never play in the NBA again.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Terror Zier to be the same thing, Bleak Beasley, same thing.
- 34:41Speaker 2: You know where Milik Beasley last played? Puerto Rico.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Oh I didn't even know.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Okay, a very small league.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Yeah he is.
- 34:48Speaker 2: That's really like he was a guy that was making
- 34:50Speaker 2: a lot of money.
- 34:51Speaker 1: I just seen him maybe like tens of millions, like
- 34:54Speaker 1: sixty million dollars or something.
- 34:55Speaker 2: He won't even he won't be playing on Mars after this. Wow,
- 34:58Speaker 2: he won't be playing anywhere.
- 35:00Speaker 1: He's own twenty six million and he's fighting for his
- 35:02Speaker 1: paycheck this year.
- 35:04Speaker 2: You know him, I thought there was a shred of
- 35:06Speaker 2: I thought that maybe for him. I thought maybe like
- 35:11Speaker 2: he would say, well, I didn't tell anyone anything, like
- 35:14Speaker 2: he went out of a game early, So I thought
- 35:16Speaker 2: maybe one of his friends found out and just went
- 35:18Speaker 2: and told someone. But from what I understand, there's a
- 35:20Speaker 2: lot more to the story.
- 35:21Speaker 1: So this hurts guys like me because I've been saying
- 35:23Speaker 1: for years, everyone says.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Oh, it's fixed, fixed, Oh, this game's fixed.
- 35:27Speaker 1: They always think they lose games because the NFL game
- 35:30Speaker 1: is fixed, that mahomes had bad stats on the day. Mahomes,
- 35:34Speaker 1: you know, making half a billion dollars, got to fix
- 35:36Speaker 1: the game. They say fixed all the time because they
- 35:38Speaker 1: feel internally they cannot have a losing day. Because I
- 35:42Speaker 1: always say when they were kids with their parents, Checkers, Chess, Monopoly,
- 35:45Speaker 1: the game of the life. They always they got mad
- 35:48Speaker 1: when they lost and they couldn't be Then let's play again,
- 35:50Speaker 1: let's try. They always chasing the money and they can't
- 35:53Speaker 1: lose on their own. They're saying, they only look at
- 35:54Speaker 1: the game from their perspective, out of their blinders, right,
- 35:57Speaker 1: they don't realize that maybe they lost the game because
- 36:00Speaker 1: it was a bad pop.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I saw that. And the last thing I'll say on
- 36:03Speaker 2: this with like props, I saw the MLB Players Association
- 36:07Speaker 2: is looking to ban all props because and you have
- 36:10Speaker 2: another side of where like some guy loses one hundred
- 36:13Speaker 2: dollars and he goes in someone's DMS. You fucking motherfucker them. Yeah,
- 36:18Speaker 2: so they're trying to prevent that. But you're also in
- 36:20Speaker 2: a rock and a hard place because these books most
- 36:23Speaker 2: of their revenue comes from props and same game parlays,
- 36:27Speaker 2: so they're not gonna limit prop. Dude, you're in a
- 36:30Speaker 2: rock and a hard place.
- 36:31Speaker 1: So time for this week's wager Wire segment over at
- 36:35Speaker 1: wagerwire dot com and the wager Wire App.
- 36:38Speaker 3: It's a fifty dollars four.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Leg pipe Dream parlay, That's what I'll call it. To
- 36:43Speaker 1: win ninety three thousand four leg future CAROLINEA to win
- 36:47Speaker 1: the NHL Championship winner, the Knicks to win their championship
- 36:50Speaker 1: winner now, the Yankees to win the World Series, and
- 36:53Speaker 1: the New York Giants to win the Super Bowl.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Oh god.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Original odds eighteen hundred and sixty five to one, in
- 37:00Speaker 1: current ods three hundred and ninety five to one, the
- 37:02Speaker 1: current bet value two hundred and thirty six dollars. Let's
- 37:06Speaker 1: go over a couple of notes here. Obviously, this is
- 37:08Speaker 1: a total Moonshot has only increased about five times in value,
- 37:12Speaker 1: but because the Giants are actually more of a long
- 37:15Speaker 1: shot now than when the bet was placed. But if
- 37:18Speaker 1: the Yankees would would win the series, of course the
- 37:21Speaker 1: World Series, then of course you'd get better odds on
- 37:24Speaker 1: this parlay. It would go to around fifteen hundred dollars.
- 37:27Speaker 3: The Giants actually have.
- 37:28Speaker 1: A favorable start in their schedule in September and ocsober
- 37:31Speaker 1: four of the first six games at home, including Tennessee Arizona.
- 37:35Speaker 3: But take the money and run.
- 37:38Speaker 1: If you can get a cash out or buy out
- 37:41Speaker 1: a partner. I would take a partner on and you
- 37:44Speaker 1: get some of your money back, or maybe get all
- 37:46Speaker 1: your money back. That Giants ain't winning the super Bowl,
- 37:49Speaker 1: and the Yankees are looking terrible right now. Sorry, I'm
- 37:52Speaker 1: alone here. John Orlando over at his favorite event. I
- 37:55Speaker 1: know you thought I was gonna say World Cup. No,
- 37:57Speaker 1: not World Cup. His favorite event is a World Series
- 38:00Speaker 1: as a poker. So we'll bring John back on next week.
- 38:03Speaker 1: But all right, guys, thanks, Well this has been great, Johnny,
- 38:05Speaker 1: have anything else for Jeff?
- 38:06Speaker 2: I mean, he's just fascinating. I could listen to him
- 38:08Speaker 2: for hours.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Oh he is and uh oh you said something on
- 38:11Speaker 1: your last show. I just heard the San Gennaro Feast,
- 38:14Speaker 1: which I used to love to go, and I was like,
- 38:16Speaker 1: I went to the one in the Bronx the most,
- 38:17Speaker 1: but the sand the real little Italy is in the
- 38:19Speaker 1: Bronx by the way after Avenue. But San Gennaro Feast,
- 38:22Speaker 1: though I'm Mulberry, I went multiple times.
- 38:25Speaker 3: You used to go, and now you I would think that.
- 38:29Speaker 2: I can't go alone anymore.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Okay, you can't go alone anymore.
- 38:32Speaker 2: And it's not that I'm like, look, I'll tell you
- 38:34Speaker 2: right now, Bill, I don't worry about a wise guy
- 38:37Speaker 2: hurting me yet. Sure, in fact, they would probably talk
- 38:40Speaker 2: to me and be nice to me. It's these sickle
- 38:43Speaker 2: fans who think because they had a coffee five feet
- 38:49Speaker 2: away from a wise guy that they're a wise guy
- 38:51Speaker 2: and they want addition, they do a beating, right. You know,
- 38:55Speaker 2: I've been at through Burgata. I've said where like guys
- 38:57Speaker 2: would come up to me and kind of like, you know,
- 39:00Speaker 2: you know, you shouldn't be here, ship like that and whatever.
- 39:04Speaker 2: I'm just but like the sands in our feast is
- 39:06Speaker 2: still very mob involved.
- 39:08Speaker 1: You know, most of the John's podcast studios in uh
- 39:13Speaker 1: in Boca. That's where Joey does his show. I've been
- 39:17Speaker 1: on Joeysicky Pause.
- 39:18Speaker 4: Right, it's a podcast, JUNKIESCA.
- 39:22Speaker 3: That's where he does.
- 39:22Speaker 1: And he came into our podcast and heat him and
- 39:25Speaker 1: little they were, they were.
- 39:26Speaker 3: They were fine.
- 39:27Speaker 2: So I've known so little Snuff. I've known since we
- 39:30Speaker 2: were kids, Snuff as a It's good to see him
- 39:34Speaker 2: have success because he's a guy who i've known fears, and.
- 39:37Speaker 3: He was younger like all of us.
- 39:38Speaker 2: He absolutely did. I could tell you a good story
- 39:40Speaker 2: about stuff. I won't do it. But he his family,
- 39:44Speaker 2: they're good people. I know his sister very well. But
- 39:46Speaker 2: Joey I've known, We've everybody knows Joey. But Joey's had
- 39:51Speaker 2: a wild life. But Joey's got some great stories. I
- 39:55Speaker 2: love Skinny Joys. I've been there many times.
- 39:57Speaker 3: I was there last week. Oh real, is there.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Part of the neighborhood. Yeah, Joey, we've had joe Joey's
- 40:04Speaker 2: had it out with these performance as well many times. Yeah,
- 40:08Speaker 2: they hate him as well.
- 40:09Speaker 3: So and you guys are good. Didn't you go there?
- 40:11Speaker 3: Did you did a show there?
- 40:12Speaker 2: I did it? Well, I didn't do it. I kind
- 40:14Speaker 2: of did like a click. Yeah, I did like a
- 40:16Speaker 2: live stream, but I've been on their show as well.
- 40:18Speaker 2: We actually talked about some informants. So yeah, I know
- 40:22Speaker 2: those guys and they're doing good things. They're opening they
- 40:25Speaker 2: opened another one in the wild Wood and yeah they're
- 40:28Speaker 2: they're they're cool guys.
- 40:29Speaker 1: So, uh, you know you're you're playing in an event today.
- 40:33Speaker 1: What's the event today?
- 40:34Speaker 3: What is it?
- 40:34Speaker 2: It's three thousand freeze out?
- 40:36Speaker 3: Okay, no living hold of the freezer? Yeah, do you
- 40:38Speaker 3: believe last show, this guy just came in here and
- 40:41Speaker 3: handed me ten thousand dollars.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you were saying that to crazy, So wait you
- 40:45Speaker 2: and I met him.
- 40:46Speaker 4: I met him and I met the guy at the fifty.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Is that crazy? Listen to this you have the money
- 40:54Speaker 2: or yeah?
- 40:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy? Story again? Is he still here?
- 40:57Speaker 2: If you want, you can give me a Yeah, it's
- 40:59Speaker 2: a crazy. Sorry.
- 41:00Speaker 4: I'm playing in the two fifty daily and this guy
- 41:03Speaker 4: says to me, I listen to you and crack all
- 41:05Speaker 4: the time.
- 41:05Speaker 2: I say, oh, thanks, man, thanks to start talking to
- 41:07Speaker 2: him whatever. Who's the guy that was here? Yeah? Yeah, Gary, yeah,
- 41:10Speaker 2: Gary Bentley.
- 41:12Speaker 4: So then he says to me, he says, did you
- 41:14Speaker 4: find a sponsor because I said on the show, Crack
- 41:16Speaker 4: playing the main.
- 41:17Speaker 2: He's like, I'm not gonn play.
- 41:18Speaker 4: I said, if I get you a sponsor where you play,
- 41:20Speaker 4: he goes yeah. So then a couple of weeks ago,
- 41:23Speaker 4: I already had it last week when I said to you,
- 41:26Speaker 4: I already had it from Gary. But last week I said,
- 41:29Speaker 4: if I get you the sponsor, Crack, you are playing, right,
- 41:31Speaker 4: and he goes yeah.
- 41:32Speaker 2: I said okay, So I told Gary.
- 41:33Speaker 4: I said, come in, but anyway, I'm playing, and he
- 41:36Speaker 4: says to me, if you if you don't get that sponsor,
- 41:39Speaker 4: I'll put I'll put Crack in.
- 41:41Speaker 2: I go yeah. He goes, yeah, I'll put him in.
- 41:44Speaker 4: I love your show, and he said I forgot to
- 41:46Speaker 4: say it when it you remind him of his first
- 41:50Speaker 4: foster father.
- 41:51Speaker 3: Oh wow, nice.
- 41:53Speaker 4: And he just really has a connection critical to you.
- 41:58Speaker 3: I was about responsible gambling.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Correct.
- 41:59Speaker 4: I go after a so so he says, he says,
- 42:03Speaker 4: y'all put him in. But you know people say stuff
- 42:05Speaker 4: and a poker like come on, like really like actually
- 42:08Speaker 4: they believed him. So he ends up busting he leaves.
- 42:12Speaker 4: Thirty minutes later, he comes back. I didn't even recognize
- 42:15Speaker 4: him because's wearing a hat. This time he comes back
- 42:17Speaker 4: and he goes, hey, and he pulls in his pocket.
- 42:20Speaker 4: He pulls out a plastic bag like from the grocery store,
- 42:23Speaker 4: and he says, here, I'm still in the tournament. He
- 42:26Speaker 4: goes here, I just wanted you to know I was serious.
- 42:28Speaker 4: I go, what's this and he goes, it's the buy in.
- 42:31Speaker 2: I go what? And I opened up the.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Bag and it's too He's going to play.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I'd rather have someone else to play.
- 42:41Speaker 2: No, rather have like you or you.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I really were playing, but I'd rather have them play
- 42:46Speaker 3: than me.
- 42:46Speaker 2: They are playing Bill. Before we go, I want to
- 42:49Speaker 2: say one thing, rest in peace to Fats.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Steve.
- 42:55Speaker 2: I had some great conversations with him on spaces about
- 43:00Speaker 2: just gambling. He's from my area. I never had to
- 43:04Speaker 2: meet him, but very nice.
- 43:05Speaker 1: We got to meet him a couple of time. John
- 43:07Speaker 1: even met him. Yeah, yeah, very nice guy. He came
- 43:09Speaker 1: in last year.
- 43:10Speaker 2: I'll tell you what last year do you remember? I
- 43:12Speaker 2: don't know if you know. He went to battle with McDonald's.
- 43:16Speaker 3: They went after McDonald's drive through.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Very funny. He was a ruthless guy on on that stuff.
- 43:21Speaker 3: If he went after he was ruthless. Yeah, for sure.
- 43:24Speaker 2: He went after some real big scumbags in that world,
- 43:27Speaker 2: so shot him. Fat was a good man, Rest in
- 43:29Speaker 2: peace to him.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Well listen, good Luck.
- 43:31Speaker 1: We really appreciate having you on and look forward to
- 43:34Speaker 1: your continue continuing success and I personally want you to
- 43:36Speaker 1: get back in the mob genre. I know you you
- 43:39Speaker 1: never know.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Good luck with the show on barstool.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Thank you appreciate that
