- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 3: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 4: Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 2: On air, on air, on.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:10Speaker 2: 102.7 KISS FM. All right. Who's got the screwdriver?
- 0:14Speaker 5: I've been passing a screwdriver. You know, I have to
- 0:17Speaker 5: tell you something. You don't see me work much with tools.
- 0:20Speaker 6: I don't think I've ever seen you hold a tool
- 0:22Speaker 6: until this point.
- 0:23Speaker 2: That's so interesting.
- 0:24Speaker 5: I don't think anyone close to me has ever seen
- 0:26Speaker 5: me really hold a tool. If I use a tool,
- 0:29Speaker 5: I usually use my tools in private. But this, I'm
- 0:32Speaker 5: going to do. Tubbs, you just stay seated and have
- 0:33Speaker 5: your brunch. I'm going to tighten my microphone.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Because it is loose. I don't know who is in
- 0:38Speaker 2: here doing twists with it, but. Let me just.
- 0:42Speaker 5: What screwdriver is this? Ronnie, what screwdriver? Do you know
- 0:45Speaker 5: which one this is?
- 0:46Speaker 2: I think it's a flathead, maybe. Is it called a flathead?
- 0:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Tubbs?
- 0:51Speaker 2: Correct.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Is it a flathead?
- 0:52Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Ding, ding, ding. And is it a Phillips head that cross?
- 0:57Speaker 5: The other one?
- 0:59Speaker 2: That is correct. Is it Phillip or Phillips? And why
- 1:01Speaker 2: is it named that?
- 1:02Speaker 4: Phillips.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Why is it named that? I think it was invented
- 1:05Speaker 2: by a guy named Phillip.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Why don't you chat GPT and make yourself useful?
- 1:09Speaker 6: Henry Phillips.
- 1:11Speaker 5: I've corrected my microphone all on my own. What is
- 1:14Speaker 5: the one tool that you've mastered?
- 1:16Speaker 2: Is it the wrench? Is it the screwdriver? What are
- 1:19Speaker 2: you really good at? What's your tool talent?
- 1:22Speaker 4: Drill.
- 1:23Speaker 2: The drill. I don't know what bit to put in
- 1:26Speaker 2: my wood.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I can handle a drill, figure out the bits, and
- 1:28Speaker 1: adjust the speed of the drill because you don't want
- 1:30Speaker 1: it too fast. It could go through the wall, all
- 1:32Speaker 1: the things.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I'm going to deal with the drill. Do you have
- 1:33Speaker 2: a tool talent?
- 1:35Speaker 6: So I'm just going to say this. They don't make
- 1:37Speaker 6: tools for left-handed people. They're all for right-handed people.
- 1:40Speaker 2: What a benefit.
- 1:41Speaker 1: They have to make them.
- 1:43Speaker 6: Even scissors are really hard for me to use.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Don't call anybody and have them start making them for left-handed.
- 1:47Speaker 2: They make left-handed scissors. I bought them for Sevilla.
- 1:50Speaker 8: I'm just saying it's a right-handed world and I'm just
- 1:52Speaker 8: living in it.
- 1:53Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:54Speaker 2: For tools to be right-handed. Good on. That's great. What
- 1:57Speaker 2: a blessing. Don't speak up on that.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Honey, do you have a tool talent? I feel like
- 2:01Speaker 2: mine is the Allen key. It's so easy to use.
- 2:04Speaker 2: That's the bike seat key.
- 2:05Speaker 9: Yes.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:07Speaker 2: That's also the one that comes with my key of furniture.
- 2:09Speaker 10: Right.
- 2:11Speaker 5: I mastered that one. My early days in Burbank, living
- 2:14Speaker 5: with the Naz in a one bedroom. Oh, Okay, let's go.
- 2:18Speaker 5: It is Tuesday, so that part's not the best, but
- 2:20Speaker 5: we are paying your bills.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Got sunshine. It's going to be warm. Got mid-80s. This
- 2:25Speaker 2: is Kiss. Good morning.
- 2:26Speaker 5: We have Jingle Ball tickets sold out coming up in
- 2:30Speaker 5: a few minutes. So every hour, pay your bills. Every hour,
- 2:32Speaker 5: Jingle Ball tickets. It's Tuesday the 27th. Halloween is four out.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Now, Ruby, this is interesting.
- 2:38Speaker 5: So, Ruby, do you ever have something in your home?
- 2:40Speaker 5: The microwave flashing, right? You don't change the time. About
- 2:43Speaker 5: to change the time coming up here to fall back.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Something in your home that is so simple to do,
- 2:48Speaker 5: but you don't do it because you're lazy. Ruby, this
- 2:52Speaker 5: would drive me... When it does happen, it drives me crazy.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Your brother's smoke alarm is beeping?
- 2:57Speaker 11: Yeah, I feel like there's two kinds of people. The
- 2:59Speaker 11: people that change it instantly and the people that let
- 3:01Speaker 11: it ride for months. And they don't even notice it. Like,
- 3:05Speaker 11: you walk in and you're like... why is it beeping?
- 3:08Speaker 1: And they're like, what do you mean?
- 3:10Speaker 2: It continues to chirp or beep.
- 3:12Speaker 5: You're just like, is the most, at least the microwave
- 3:16Speaker 5: doesn't chirp. The chirp is annoying. I can't tell you
- 3:19Speaker 5: how many times I've finally done all my routine. I
- 3:23Speaker 5: have water picked. I have flossed.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I have moisturized. I have put my pillows in a fort.
- 3:29Speaker 5: I've crawled under my sheets, set the temperature low, taken
- 3:33Speaker 5: a deep breath, and then a chirp.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Starts in the hallway.
- 3:35Speaker 6: Oh, the worst.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Now, what do you do? First, I curse.
- 3:39Speaker 12: I do.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Then I say, babe, go get it. And there's no
- 3:42Speaker 2: one there.
- 3:44Speaker 5: So I go, and I have to get a stepladder. Now,
- 3:46Speaker 5: that's the other part of it. A stepladder in the pantry.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Why the pantry?
- 3:50Speaker 5: To reach some of the treats sometimes. And I pull
- 3:53Speaker 5: that out. To me, the smoke alarm can ruin, just
- 3:56Speaker 5: fixing it can ruin your day. The battery always goes
- 3:59Speaker 5: out at the worst time.
- 4:00Speaker 1: And you have to have the backup battery in the
- 4:03Speaker 1: first place.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Well, the other thing where I let the battery just
- 4:06Speaker 5: go and I'm too lazy to fix it is the
- 4:08Speaker 5: battery in the remote. I'll twist that little number until
- 4:11Speaker 5: I can get every piece of juice out of it.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Slap it.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Come on. Yes, I replaced it. It comes back to life.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It does come back to life.
- 4:20Speaker 2: You rotate it. It spins and the thing comes back
- 4:22Speaker 2: for a week.
- 4:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Why that only? Why does that not work with other
- 4:27Speaker 5: batteries anywhere else? Only the remote control battery can be
- 4:30Speaker 5: spun twice and give.
- 4:31Speaker 2: You a week's worth of life. That is so true.
- 4:34Speaker 2: We're lazy. It's fine.
- 4:37Speaker 5: You need to be lazy sometimes. I don't do my
- 4:39Speaker 5: iOS's for years. Now, how are they up to? What
- 4:42Speaker 5: are they up to?
- 4:42Speaker 2: I'm on eight.
- 4:43Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 1: No, they're like on 27 or something.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Stop with the iOS. Just for me.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Olivia Dean on 102.7. It's Kiss FM. Seacrest here. Thanks
- 4:55Speaker 5: for listening to us. Yeah, we got those amazing Seacrest
- 4:57Speaker 5: seats for Archie while priority seating. Add our jingle ball
- 5:01Speaker 5: for you to win only here this week in the morning. Now,
- 5:05Speaker 5: have you ever, this is something that I've seen happen
- 5:10Speaker 5: to comedians.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I'd be scared to death to be a stand-up comedian.
- 5:13Speaker 5: That to me would be the, I think that and
- 5:15Speaker 5: Broadway would be the hardest jobs in entertainment.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I have a lot of respect for Broadway. That's live.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Totally.
- 5:23Speaker 2: How many shows a week? A couple of days a week.
- 5:26Speaker 1: They'll do like six shows a week.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:28Speaker 5: And people don't boo you at that. But I see
- 5:31Speaker 5: comedians get booed and I start to feel bad when
- 5:33Speaker 5: you get a boo.
- 5:34Speaker 6: Well, the jokes don't land sometimes.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I was booed. You ever been booed? Anybody here been booed?
- 5:40Speaker 5: I have.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Has anybody been booed?
- 5:42Speaker 1: Me in the back room.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Jordan, you've been booed. Okay.
- 5:45Speaker 5: I was booed throwing out the first pitch at a St.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Louis Cardinal game because I didn't make it to home plate.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I got booed. It fell short, and I got booed.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but then you redeemed yourself. You did it again
- 5:57Speaker 1: at Dodgers, didn't you?
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah, woo-hoo.
- 6:00Speaker 5: I don't know if that was redemption.
- 6:04Speaker 13: I went, woo-hoo.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I don't know that sports fans want me in their world.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I don't know. Now, why did you get booed, Jordan?
- 6:12Speaker 12: Yeah, I got the opportunity to get on someone's shoulders
- 6:16Speaker 12: during a music festival.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Sorry, what? The opportunity? What do you mean? Someone invited
- 6:22Speaker 2: you to their stranger's shoulders? What?
- 6:25Speaker 12: I never got the chance to ever do that, and
- 6:28Speaker 12: it was for Calvin Harris. I wanted to really embrace
- 6:31Speaker 12: this moment, so I asked my friend if I could
- 6:33Speaker 12: hop on his shoulders, and he said yes.
- 6:35Speaker 2: And you got booed because you were blocking other people.
- 6:37Speaker 1: What do you need to see? It's EDM music. You're
- 6:39Speaker 1: just like dancing.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Lights, lights, lights.
- 6:41Speaker 1: We need to stare at Calvin.
- 6:43Speaker 2: And that's what.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I was thinking. I thought, I was like, okay, it's DJ.
- 6:47Speaker 12: No one really is trying.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And there's so many people on shoulders.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 6:51Speaker 6: It's like a sea of people on shoulders.
- 6:52Speaker 1: The girl in front of me was on shoulders.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Sorry, the only time adults should be on shoulders is chicken.
- 6:57Speaker 1: In the pool.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:00Speaker 2: And EDM shows. Chicken in the pool. No, I would
- 7:03Speaker 2: boo you too. Don't block me. Yeah, it was just
- 7:06Speaker 2: for a second.
- 7:07Speaker 1: There's a DJ on stage. What are you trying to see?
- 7:09Speaker 1: He's not doing much.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Oh, Mark just reminded me. I did not get booed
- 7:12Speaker 5: at Dodger Stadium because they did not throw the ball.
- 7:14Speaker 5: All I said was, it's time for Dodger baseball.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Woo-hoo.
- 7:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:21Speaker 5: In 102.7 KISS FM Los Angeles, I'm about to give
- 7:24Speaker 5: you a quote of the day. And I was just
- 7:26Speaker 5: saying to Cisney and Tanya, we're going to talk about
- 7:28Speaker 5: this Halloween candy that's better and worse for your microbiome.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I almost said bones, but it's not micro bones. It's microbiomes.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Not to be confused with micro bones for Halloween. All right.
- 7:42Speaker 2: So that's about the gut.
- 7:44Speaker 5: It refers to the organisms, bacteria that reside inside your tract.
- 7:50Speaker 10: Word.
- 7:51Speaker 6: It's your gut, basically.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Hey, I made it easier to say that.
- 7:54Speaker 10: Yeah, okay.
- 7:55Speaker 2: So what's better or worse for your gut? Now, the
- 7:58Speaker 2: best for your gut, Snickers.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I have heard that. Like, if you're hungry, it's almost
- 8:05Speaker 1: better to eat a Snickers bar than, like, munch on
- 8:08Speaker 1: other stuff.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:09Speaker 5: What?
- 8:10Speaker 2: Be careful there.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm just saying an emergency situation.
- 8:13Speaker 2: I'm going to test that in court.
- 8:15Speaker 9: Trust me.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Look it up.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I'm not trusting that it's better than other stuff. It's
- 8:20Speaker 2: just a good one. Like a bag of chips?
- 8:21Speaker 1: Exactly. Bag of chips or a Snickers bar.
- 8:23Speaker 2: We're saying this glibly. We have no idea, but you've
- 8:25Speaker 2: heard it's a decent one. I have heard. But look
- 8:28Speaker 2: at the ingredients. Anyway, fine. Snickers. I get it. Almond Joy.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I like coconut. Almond Joy.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I love Almond Joy Snickers. no that's a no for
- 8:34Speaker 1: me coconut.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Number one best for your microbiomes thank you reese's i
- 8:39Speaker 5: always thought.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Those were good it's like peanut butter chocolate best choices
- 8:45Speaker 1: now your worst choice of the microbiome for the gut
- 8:47Speaker 1: worst choice for lemon candy candy corn.
- 8:49Speaker 10: Ew i don't even know what it is yeah it's
- 8:51Speaker 10: like wax licorice ropes oh yeah those are bad and a.
- 8:56Speaker 5: Bite-sized candy The bite-sized candy, the colorful bite-sized candy, Skittles.
- 9:00Speaker 5: They're all probably not healthy, but some better than worse
- 9:04Speaker 5: for your gut.
- 9:05Speaker 2: This is from science, not me. Eat them all. Enjoy.
- 9:09Speaker 5: LA's number one at Music Station, almost 7 o'clock in
- 9:12Speaker 5: the morning, a second date update. Now, this is a
- 9:14Speaker 5: little different. He got ghosted after six weeks and wants
- 9:18Speaker 5: to know why. You ghost somebody after six weeks, you
- 9:20Speaker 5: better provide a reason.
- 9:22Speaker 6: I agree.
- 9:23Speaker 2: There needs to be an alibi.
- 9:24Speaker 6: Well, that's not what ghosting is.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Ghost after six weeks.
- 9:29Speaker 13: Yes.
- 9:30Speaker 1: You've like probably spent a holiday together. Maybe someone's birthday.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Six weeks is a relationship.
- 9:34Speaker 7: It is.
- 9:35Speaker 1: It's a long time.
- 9:36Speaker 11: Okay.
- 9:36Speaker 5: So you need to tell the person why. And so
- 9:39Speaker 5: I'm very anxious to address this head on with the
- 9:41Speaker 5: ghoster to say, what's your deal?
- 9:43Speaker 2: Like, why are you so rude?
- 9:44Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I'm gonna play that song.
- 9:46Speaker 7: Rude.
- 9:46Speaker 2: It's a good approach. Coming up.
- 9:48Speaker 7: All that.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Boy.
- 9:51Speaker 2: No, they're rude.
- 9:51Speaker 6: Why you gotta be so rude?
- 9:53Speaker 1: I forgot about that song.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Ryan loved.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I was thinking of Rihanna.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Get it right again. Rude, Rude, Rude Boy. No, this one.
- 10:01Speaker 7: Why you gotta be so rude?
- 10:05Speaker 2: Magic. You love magic.
- 10:09Speaker 5: I still love magic. I just couldn't remember it was magic.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 2: All right, let's get to the headlines. Sisney, what's happening?
- 10:15Speaker 2: Kiss FM headlines with Sisney.
- 10:17Speaker 6: Well, here we go.
- 10:18Speaker 1: A high tide of about 8.3 feet moved into Newport
- 10:22Speaker 1: Beach yesterday, flooding streets, parking lots, and businesses along Balboa Peninsula.
- 10:27Speaker 1: An even higher tide is expected today. A group of
- 10:31Speaker 1: residents who live near the Hollywood sign have filed lawsuits
- 10:34Speaker 1: against the city of L.A. asking officials to do more
- 10:38Speaker 1: to control traffic, noise and safety problems in the neighborhood.
- 10:42Speaker 1: The Federal Trade Commission and the state of California is
- 10:45Speaker 1: suing Dollar General, claiming the store charged customers more at
- 10:50Speaker 1: the register than the prices listed on the items. And
- 10:55Speaker 1: all the rumors were correct. Jay-Z will headline the 2027
- 11:00Speaker 1: Super Bowl halftime show at SoFi Stadium on Valentine's Day.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Now that song, I only played it for you and
- 11:07Speaker 5: for the person that's so rude in this second date update.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I had to play it. I'm running out of time.
- 11:11Speaker 6: That was a banger.
- 11:13Speaker 2: It's a banger. You gotta dance.
- 11:14Speaker 6: I did enjoy that one.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Magic, where are ya? Where are you, Magic? Rude.
- 11:18Speaker 5: You got a rude player coming up in the second
- 11:21Speaker 5: date update. They dated this person for six weeks, and
- 11:23Speaker 5: then they didn't give him an excuse.
- 11:24Speaker 2: They just bailed. It's rude.
- 11:26Speaker 5: That's why Magic wrote the song. Okay, let's see the
- 11:30Speaker 5: Calvin Harris tickets here.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Kia Forum. We're going to play Banger or Slasher.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Banger or Slasher. Inspired by that banger right there. Jay,
- 11:40Speaker 5: good morning, Riverside.
- 11:41Speaker 2: How are you? I'm good. How are you doing?
- 11:45Speaker 4: Pretty good.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Jay, we're going to play Banger or Slasher. I'm going
- 11:49Speaker 5: to give you a title. You tell me if it's
- 11:50Speaker 5: a banger, a song by Calvin Harris, or a slasher,
- 11:54Speaker 5: a horror.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Movie for Halloween, okay? Yes, sir. Let's go.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Three right before you get three wrong to go see
- 12:01Speaker 5: Calvin Harris.
- 12:02Speaker 2: First one. Lights out. Lights out. Slasher or banger?
- 12:07Speaker 5: Banger.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Banger.
- 12:12Speaker 2: It's a slasher. Okay, here we go. Slasher or banger
- 12:18Speaker 2: for Calvin Harris tickets. Slow acid. Slow acid. Banger, of course. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 2: You got a banger right there. All right, got one down.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 12:29Speaker 5: I'm not alone.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Banger or slasher?
- 12:33Speaker 3: Oh, banger.
- 12:34Speaker 5: You know that one, right? Here for the win now.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Sweetheart.
- 12:40Speaker 5: Is it a Calvin Harris banger or a horror movie
- 12:43Speaker 5: Halloween slasher?
- 12:44Speaker 2: Sweetheart. Slasher. Dude, you came back like... Nice! Congratulations, Jay.
- 12:56Speaker 2: You're going to go with Sissany to Calvin Harris.
- 12:58Speaker 1: You know how hard these tickets are to get?
- 13:01Speaker 2: That's why I'm doing banger.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Slasher, bro.
- 13:02Speaker 1: There's 400,000 people in the queue for all the nights.
- 13:06Speaker 6: Like, it's insane.
- 13:08Speaker 1: So, yes, I'll see you there.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Are you going? You should be giving away those tickets, Sissany.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I'm buying them on my own.
- 13:14Speaker 2: All right, well, Jay, you're not. Good on Sisney for buying.
- 13:18Speaker 2: She will see you there. Take a picture together. 102.7
- 13:20Speaker 2: Kiss FM.
- 13:21Speaker 5: I'm going to bring on some heat right here. I
- 13:25Speaker 5: don't really bring on the heat.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I'm bringing on the heat. What's that? The stove at high.
- 13:34Speaker 1: What are you talking about?
- 13:35Speaker 2: I'm bringing on heat. I am sun at full blast.
- 13:41Speaker 11: Wow.
- 13:42Speaker 2: In this second date update. Cause I think it's rude.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Jacob's being treated rude by somebody. He dated for six weeks.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:47Speaker 1: You're already coming in with like hate against this girl.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I got UVA at full blast.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Yeah. You're like, you're not seeing both sides yet. You're
- 13:54Speaker 1: just seeing Jacob said, I don't want.
- 13:57Speaker 2: To see both sides. I don't care about both.
- 13:58Speaker 1: You don't know about the other side. Maybe he did
- 14:00Speaker 1: something for her to justify the ghosting.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Ronnie, let me talk to you since you know how
- 14:04Speaker 2: to date.
- 14:05Speaker 6: Oh my God.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I don't have any idea. So here's the thing. You
- 14:10Speaker 2: go out with somebody for six weeks and they disappear
- 14:11Speaker 2: as rude. It's disrespectful. It's rude. It's not ghosting. Ghosting
- 14:15Speaker 2: is like you play with somebody for a week and
- 14:16Speaker 2: then they're out. It's six weeks. That's like time of
- 14:19Speaker 2: your life. That's like investment.
- 14:20Speaker 5: And then it's rude to disappear. So I don't need
- 14:22Speaker 5: to hear both sides. There's only one side of this. Jacob, sorry,
- 14:25Speaker 5: you've been listening to this, haven't you?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Jacob, hi. Hey. I don't want to know much. What
- 14:32Speaker 2: do you think she disappeared for after six weeks? I mean,
- 14:36Speaker 2: I honestly have no idea. What would you expect? Let
- 14:39Speaker 2: me ask you this.
- 14:40Speaker 5: What would you expect to be the courtesy if she
- 14:43Speaker 5: didn't want to see you again after six weeks?
- 14:46Speaker 2: I mean, if I had an idea, I wouldn't be
- 14:49Speaker 2: calling you guys. What would you do? I have no idea.
- 14:52Speaker 2: What would you do?
- 14:54Speaker 3: I would have a phone call. I would say, or
- 14:56Speaker 3: at the very least a text, but I would, you know, conversation, communication.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Here we go. Her name is Alyssa. Hold on one second.
- 15:05Speaker 2: She's agreed to come on. I am ready to take
- 15:08Speaker 2: it on with Alyssa. Let's go.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Be kind.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I am kind.
- 15:12Speaker 5: I'm also being protective of Jacob and other people who
- 15:15Speaker 5: get treated this way.
- 15:16Speaker 6: Let's hear her out.
- 15:18Speaker 8: I feel like this is striking a chord with Ryan.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Did you get ghosted after six weeks?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Possibly. I don't know. No one's here now. Somebody ghosted
- 15:26Speaker 2: at some point. 102.7 Kiss FM. All right.
- 15:30Speaker 5: I'm standing up for those who put time into relationship
- 15:33Speaker 5: and then the other person disappears without a reason. I
- 15:36Speaker 5: don't think it's respectful personally. If you have respect for
- 15:39Speaker 5: the other person, if you see somebody for six weeks,
- 15:41Speaker 5: then there had to have been mutual respect. Otherwise, what
- 15:44Speaker 5: are you pretending for? So I say that because I'm
- 15:48Speaker 5: going to get to it fast for Jacob, who was
- 15:52Speaker 5: with Alyssa for six weeks and then she quote ghosted him.
- 15:56Speaker 2: She disappeared.
- 15:57Speaker 5: She stopped seeing him after six weeks and didn't tell
- 15:59Speaker 5: him why. Disappeared on him.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Jacob, are you ready?
- 16:05Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Sisney and Tanya, are you ready?
- 16:07Speaker 1: I am.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Yep.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Let's meet Alyssa.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Rude.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Hi, Alyssa.
- 16:14Speaker 11: Hello.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Hey, it's Ryan Seacrest, Sisney and Tanya. How are you
- 16:20Speaker 5: on Kiss FM? Thanks for agreeing to come on with us.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Yes, thank you.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Yeah, no problem.
- 16:26Speaker 5: So we're going to jump right into the reason we're calling.
- 16:30Speaker 5: You dated a guy named Jacob, true? Yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 2: How long did you date Jacob?
- 16:41Speaker 3: Maybe like two months. Why are you calling me about him?
- 16:46Speaker 5: Because I need to stand up for him and for this,
- 16:50Speaker 5: if it's happening the way that I hear it happening,
- 16:52Speaker 5: so that other people don't get treated this way. did
- 16:56Speaker 5: you give him a reason why you stopped seeing him
- 16:58Speaker 5: after six weeks, two months?
- 17:01Speaker 3: Um, well, he, he never made any effort to make
- 17:05Speaker 3: it official zero. Like, come on, dude.
- 17:14Speaker 5: So you weren't together for the six weeks.
- 17:16Speaker 2: It was open-ended.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I, I know my worth and, uh,
- 17:23Speaker 3: he didn't want to make it official. Like, yeah, we
- 17:25Speaker 3: hung out and stuff.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Did you ask him to make, did you guys talk
- 17:28Speaker 5: about trying to make it official? Was that part of
- 17:29Speaker 5: the conversation?
- 17:31Speaker 3: I mean, for me, I don't think I have to
- 17:32Speaker 3: bring that up. Like, it just seemed very like with,
- 17:35Speaker 3: with how things were going, it just seemed kind of like,
- 17:40Speaker 3: like that, like I was waiting for that conversation and
- 17:43Speaker 3: it kind of just never happened. And so I just
- 17:45Speaker 3: kind of moved on cause it just wasn't going anywhere.
- 17:49Speaker 5: So you moved on without telling him you moved on
- 17:51Speaker 5: because he didn't come to you asking to be together.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Cause she was in.
- 17:54Speaker 1: That right girl.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Well, again, I know my worth. And, like, if you're
- 17:59Speaker 3: not going to choose me and explicitly, like, make it
- 18:02Speaker 3: very clear that, like, I'm who you want to be with, then, like,
- 18:07Speaker 3: you know, I have other things I can be doing.
- 18:10Speaker 2: That's fair.
- 18:10Speaker 5: It was communicated to me by Jacob, clearly not a
- 18:12Speaker 5: great communicator, that you guys were together for six weeks
- 18:15Speaker 5: and then you ghosted him.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Is that not the case? Because I was not happy
- 18:18Speaker 2: about that. I thought that was rude.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:20Speaker 2: But that was the case.
- 18:20Speaker 1: He was really upset with you.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Is he, like, listening to this conversation?
- 18:25Speaker 4: Yes.
- 18:26Speaker 2: And so is America.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Oh my God.
- 18:30Speaker 3: No, I, he's like cool or whatever. Like we obviously
- 18:36Speaker 3: like things were going well and like, I enjoyed being
- 18:40Speaker 3: with him, but after so much time, like, I'm just
- 18:43Speaker 3: the kind of person where like, if I don't know
- 18:45Speaker 3: exactly how you feel about me, like I'm just going
- 18:47Speaker 3: to assume that like, it's not going to go anywhere
- 18:49Speaker 3: because I like someone to be direct and he wasn't
- 18:52Speaker 3: being direct.
- 18:52Speaker 11: So yeah, this is fair.
- 18:54Speaker 5: And I like, I'm now liking all of this because
- 18:56Speaker 5: we're going to take something away from this. Jacob, you
- 18:59Speaker 5: can't reach out to us and say you went out
- 19:01Speaker 5: with her for six weeks and then she disappeared on you.
- 19:05Speaker 2: If you didn't make it clear, you want it to
- 19:06Speaker 2: be with her. Do you understand? Listen, I swear I
- 19:11Speaker 2: thought we were together. We had toothbrushes at each other's apartments.
- 19:15Speaker 8: Toothbrushes does not equal exclusive relationship.
- 19:20Speaker 11: Yeah, it doesn't work that way.
- 19:21Speaker 3: You have to say something. You can't assume that we're official.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Remember the order of operations?
- 19:30Speaker 5: Parentheses, exponents, please excuse my dear Aunt Sally. Remember the
- 19:35Speaker 5: order of the way you would do math?
- 19:36Speaker 3: Of course.
- 19:36Speaker 2: There's a sequence to this stuff, Jacob.
- 19:39Speaker 5: You can't call and say she goes to me if
- 19:41Speaker 5: you didn't tell her you wanted to be with her.
- 19:42Speaker 2: It doesn't work. That's the sequence.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Why didn't you both talk about it?
- 19:47Speaker 2: Well, what about last weekend?
- 19:48Speaker 3: We talked about moving to Charlotte together.
- 19:50Speaker 2: When like if I get.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Transferred we are not even boyfriend girlfriend and all of
- 19:55Speaker 3: a sudden you're talking about moving across the country together
- 19:57Speaker 3: like we're talking about the order of operations I feel
- 20:00Speaker 3: like that you know that was so out of order
- 20:05Speaker 3: yeah but that shows a certain level of commitment doesn't
- 20:07Speaker 3: it Oh, we're asking questions.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Okay, great.
- 20:12Speaker 3: I have a question for you. Who is Maeve?
- 20:18Speaker 2: Maeve? Yeah.
- 20:23Speaker 3: I don't know how to say it. I saw her
- 20:25Speaker 3: texting you though. She's a friend from back home.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Why?
- 20:33Speaker 3: Well, I was going to ask you about her.
- 20:37Speaker 2: You didn't.
- 20:38Speaker 3: That's what made me realize, well, well, it made me
- 20:40Speaker 3: realize that we're not official because you could be dating her.
- 20:43Speaker 3: You could be dating anyone.
- 20:44Speaker 2: But you're not communicating. Hold on. You guys are doing something.
- 20:48Speaker 1: You're not communicating.
- 20:49Speaker 2: You're doing something.
- 20:50Speaker 5: Why not say something?
- 20:51Speaker 2: Guys, stop escalating this.
- 20:54Speaker 5: You're not being clear. You're assuming, you're speculating, and you're
- 20:58Speaker 5: jumping to conclusions. It's not fair for anybody here. Now,
- 21:01Speaker 5: based on this, I have a simple question. Do you
- 21:03Speaker 5: want to be together or not? Let's assume your communication
- 21:06Speaker 5: was clear. Do you want to make this work or not?
- 21:08Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Yeah, totally. Okay. All right. All right.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Well, we're going to let you go. Here's what you
- 21:15Speaker 5: should take away for your future relationships.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Clarity. Conclusions. The two C's and three C's. Commitment. So
- 21:22Speaker 2: three C's in a relationship. Clarity, conclusion, commitment. Three C's.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Remember those. I mean, I really like it. I still
- 21:32Speaker 2: have her hoodie. Do you want your hoodie back?
- 21:36Speaker 6: What about compromise?
- 21:37Speaker 2: What about communication? On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 21:44Speaker 5: I want to stop the show for a second on
- 21:46Speaker 5: Kiss FM. Jenna Dewan from Dancing with the Stars and
- 21:49Speaker 5: The Rookie.
- 21:50Speaker 9: Hi, guys.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 21:53Speaker 5: Hi.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Thank you for having me.
- 21:56Speaker 6: Hi, guys.
- 21:57Speaker 5: Well, thank you for coming on because, you know, we
- 21:59Speaker 5: all see ourselves in you when you're dancing on Dancing
- 22:03Speaker 5: with the Stars.
- 22:03Speaker 2: I don't know if you know that. Yeah, yeah.
- 22:06Speaker 4: That's the best compliment ever. Honestly, that's so sweet. Thank you, Ryan.
- 22:12Speaker 5: Well, I do feel like everybody who watches the show,
- 22:15Speaker 5: we all do think of ourselves like, could we, could we,
- 22:17Speaker 5: should we, can we, you know, that's part of the
- 22:19Speaker 5: fun of watching it.
- 22:21Speaker 1: That's what is fun.
- 22:22Speaker 4: I thought that the years watching the show, I would go,
- 22:25Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, this looks so fun. Could I, could
- 22:28Speaker 4: I like it is learning ballroom in four days.
- 22:31Speaker 6: Is that possible?
- 22:33Speaker 4: And then doing a show on a Tuesday. I mean, it's,
- 22:34Speaker 4: it's actually insane. And even I had that little like, oh,
- 22:38Speaker 4: I wonder this would work.
- 22:40Speaker 1: And it's been so fun.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It's all working out. And you had a little extra layer.
- 22:44Speaker 5: Tanya was reporting last week that everybody's talking about the
- 22:48Speaker 5: fact that your normal partner was not going to be
- 22:51Speaker 5: in for the week.
- 22:53Speaker 8: Last week, I reported that Val was suspended from Dancing
- 22:56Speaker 8: with the Stars from something he did on social media.
- 22:59Speaker 8: So Jenna got a brand new partner in the middle
- 23:02Speaker 8: of the competition.
- 23:04Speaker 5: So, Jenna, all this goes down in real time. Alan
- 23:06Speaker 5: comes in, a whole shift of gears. And what did
- 23:10Speaker 5: you how did that work at first? Because it was
- 23:13Speaker 5: all over the news.
- 23:14Speaker 4: You know, I feel like that moment was one of
- 23:16Speaker 4: those moments where everything I have learned over all the
- 23:20Speaker 4: years in the in show business, as far as literally
- 23:22Speaker 4: like things can just happen and change. And you have
- 23:26Speaker 4: to like the show has to go on, you know.
- 23:28Speaker 4: you have to adapt and you have to pivot. And,
- 23:31Speaker 4: and I really felt like in that moment, that was
- 23:34Speaker 4: just an opportunity for me to really go, okay, well, what,
- 23:37Speaker 4: what is my true North here? Like, why, why am
- 23:40Speaker 4: I here in this competition? What is it that I
- 23:41Speaker 4: wanted to feel and do by being in this competition.
- 23:45Speaker 4: And I just went back to that and I said,
- 23:47Speaker 4: you know what, all I can do is my job
- 23:49Speaker 4: and move forward and do the best job that I can.
- 23:51Speaker 4: And it was also dedication week. So my mom was
- 23:55Speaker 4: with me all week and I was dedicating it to
- 23:57Speaker 4: my mom. So I had this, also this thing in
- 24:01Speaker 4: front of me, you know, she was, she really was
- 24:03Speaker 4: so excited about this moment and I wanted this moment
- 24:06Speaker 4: to be special for her and for I and our family.
- 24:09Speaker 4: So it was a moment where I really could sort
- 24:12Speaker 4: of just put into motion all that I learn and
- 24:15Speaker 4: speak on all the time. It's like you're only in
- 24:17Speaker 4: control of your own perspective and your own thoughts and
- 24:20Speaker 4: just think positively and do the best job you can.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Well, it worked. You, Mom, Alan, it all worked, right? Yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 2: it was fantastic. Thank you.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Jenna Dewan is here. And now you're back with Val.
- 24:33Speaker 5: So you're back to do this dance with Val that's
- 24:36Speaker 5: coming up. How is it to come back and shift
- 24:40Speaker 5: gears yet again?
- 24:42Speaker 4: Yes, again, right? Again, okay, here we go. Back at
- 24:46Speaker 4: it and show must go on. Val's an incredible dancer.
- 24:50Speaker 4: He's been an incredible partner. And we really had built
- 24:53Speaker 4: weeks of good rapport. And so we kind of stepped
- 24:57Speaker 4: right back into it. And we've been focusing on the dance.
- 25:00Speaker 4: And I'm really excited about this dance tonight. It's an
- 25:03Speaker 4: amazing song. It's a fun theme. And so Again, I
- 25:07Speaker 4: think it's about controlling your perspective and focusing on the
- 25:10Speaker 4: positives and just keep the show going.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Wow. All right. So Horror Movie Night, what are you
- 25:14Speaker 2: guys doing?
- 25:16Speaker 4: We are doing 28 Weeks Later, and it's a song
- 25:20Speaker 4: called Uninvited, which is a remake of an Alanis Morissette song.
- 25:25Speaker 4: And it's just a cool Argentine tango. I've wanted to
- 25:28Speaker 4: Argentine tango for years after watching the show.
- 25:30Speaker 1: It looks so hard, which by.
- 25:32Speaker 4: The way, it is so hard, but I've wanted to
- 25:34Speaker 4: do it so bad. And I've been really excited for
- 25:37Speaker 4: this moment. You know, it just keeps going back to like,
- 25:40Speaker 4: I get to dance live and I haven't been able
- 25:43Speaker 4: to do that in so long.
- 25:44Speaker 1: And so I still feel really grateful.
- 25:46Speaker 2: How many more weeks are left Jenna and dancing with
- 25:48Speaker 2: the stars?
- 25:49Speaker 4: So let's see, seven, eight, nine, 10, that would be
- 25:51Speaker 4: four technically, if I make it all the way to
- 25:53Speaker 4: the end, 11 weeks total.
- 25:56Speaker 2: It's a lot of work.
- 25:58Speaker 1: It's a grind. It is a grind.
- 26:00Speaker 4: And I'm doing it at the same time as the rookie.
- 26:02Speaker 10: So there's- Oh, are you shooting the rookie?
- 26:05Speaker 2: Those 12 hour, 13 hour days too? Yes, I am.
- 26:09Speaker 1: As well as parenting.
- 26:12Speaker 2: And that's 24-7.
- 26:13Speaker 1: I bet it never ends.
- 26:16Speaker 2: It's amazing.
- 26:18Speaker 5: Even more incredible to see the scores that you're getting.
- 26:21Speaker 5: I have to tell you that I've never fallen in
- 26:23Speaker 5: love with a guy on TV before. But there's something
- 26:27Speaker 5: about Bruno that makes me keep coming back.
- 26:31Speaker 2: It's because he's amazing.
- 26:33Speaker 1: He's like the best spirit.
- 26:34Speaker 4: His style.
- 26:35Speaker 1: His sassy little outfits every week.
- 26:38Speaker 4: He's so fun. And when he stands up and he
- 26:40Speaker 4: gets into it, it puts me in such a good
- 26:41Speaker 4: mood because I want to get Bruno excited. So when
- 26:45Speaker 4: he gets truly excited, I love it.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I love them. It makes me so happy.
- 26:51Speaker 5: When you have a moment off camera, I'd love for
- 26:54Speaker 5: him to record a wake-up message for me every day
- 26:57Speaker 5: so it'd be the first thing I hear when I
- 26:59Speaker 5: wake up early in the morning.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Oh, that'd be incredible.
- 27:02Speaker 1: He'd be like, Ryan!
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I need. That's what I want. That
- 27:05Speaker 2: and my coffee in the morning? Come on. No stopping us.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Your passion for the day.
- 27:10Speaker 5: All right, Days of the Stars, ABC Tonight, 8, 7 Central,
- 27:14Speaker 5: Disney Plus as well. The rookie back in January on ABC,
- 27:17Speaker 5: the incredible Jenna Dewan.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Good luck. We'll be watching and rooting for you.
- 27:20Speaker 5: Yes!
- 27:22Speaker 4: You guys thank you.
- 27:23Speaker 11: So much thank you bye goodbye bye.
- 27:28Speaker 5: We can't complain about anything she's doing all that.
- 27:31Speaker 13: It's impressive it's a lot it really is you know
- 27:35Speaker 13: good on her my favorite taylor swift song when i
- 27:38Speaker 13: hear it i go yeah that's the one 102.7 kiss
- 27:40Speaker 13: fm all right uh let's go.
- 27:46Speaker 5: So this is a funny question because people have asked
- 27:48Speaker 5: me this in the past, and for some reason, I'm
- 27:53Speaker 5: confused by the question. I don't understand this question when
- 27:56Speaker 5: people ask me.
- 27:57Speaker 2: What is the question?
- 27:58Speaker 8: The question is, what would your younger self be most
- 28:02Speaker 8: surprised by if they could see you today?
- 28:05Speaker 1: That's a hard question.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Do you even understand it?
- 28:08Speaker 1: I know what you mean. There's a lot of pressure
- 28:09Speaker 1: to answer.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 28:10Speaker 6: Don't think so deep about it.
- 28:12Speaker 8: Mine would be, I can't believe you met John Mayer
- 28:15Speaker 8: and Shakira when you had a John Mayer and Shakira
- 28:17Speaker 8: fan club in high school.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean?
- 28:19Speaker 5: Oh, so for example, this is great. And let me
- 28:23Speaker 5: tell you, that shed some light on it for me.
- 28:25Speaker 5: I may be able to get there. But Priyanka Chopra
- 28:28Speaker 5: talked about this.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Yes.
- 28:29Speaker 8: So Priyanka Chopra Jonas was honored with the Woman of
- 28:32Speaker 8: Impact Award at the InStyle Image Maker Awards. And this
- 28:36Speaker 8: award recognizes her for breaking stereotypes, opening doors for women
- 28:39Speaker 8: in Hollywood. People asked her what her younger self would
- 28:43Speaker 8: think of all this. And she said, I don't think
- 28:45Speaker 8: she'd believe it. She said what her younger self would
- 28:48Speaker 8: be most surprised by isn't the fame or the awards.
- 28:51Speaker 8: It's her tenacity and her will to keep going. Because
- 28:56Speaker 8: growing up, Priyanka actually says that she was shy and introverted.
- 29:00Speaker 8: And this is a woman who's like, she's Miss World.
- 29:03Speaker 8: She's this Bollywood superstar. When you see interviews with Priyanka
- 29:07Speaker 8: Chopra Jonas, like... she's so effervescent and funny and like
- 29:11Speaker 8: just like very outgoing so for me i was so
- 29:14Speaker 8: surprised to hear that she was like a shy kid
- 29:16Speaker 8: yeah but so that's what i was thinking about with
- 29:19Speaker 8: you like what would your younger self be surprised by
- 29:22Speaker 8: with this version.
- 29:22Speaker 5: Of you today i don't know why i struggled like
- 29:26Speaker 5: i've been asked that in front of people and i
- 29:28Speaker 5: i buffer.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yeah i think i got mine go okay So when
- 29:32Speaker 1: I was like in second, third, fourth grade, I really
- 29:36Speaker 1: struggled with reading. And so any time that I would
- 29:38Speaker 1: get called on in class, to read, I would choke
- 29:42Speaker 1: up and I would panic and I just would stutter.
- 29:44Speaker 1: And I think it's because I spoke Spanish first.
- 29:45Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm making excuses.
- 29:46Speaker 1: But the point is, I think that she would look
- 29:49Speaker 1: at her now. And now the fact that we read
- 29:52Speaker 1: so many commercials and stuff and we read for a
- 29:54Speaker 1: living now on the air in front of millions of people.
- 29:56Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 29:57Speaker 1: It's crazy to me.
- 29:58Speaker 10: It's probably why you're good at it because you focus
- 30:00Speaker 10: so much on it. I also got hooked on phonics
- 30:02Speaker 10: back in the day.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Do you remember that?
- 30:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Whatever it takes.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I think that might have worked.
- 30:07Speaker 5: I mean, one thing I'm thinking about, if you want
- 30:08Speaker 5: to talk about work, I remember I pretended to be
- 30:11Speaker 5: Rick Dees as a kid hosting the Kiss FM morning show.
- 30:14Speaker 1: How cool is that?
- 30:15Speaker 2: That's crazy. I pretended in Atlanta, never met the guy.
- 30:18Speaker 5: I pretended to be Casey Kasem counting down the America
- 30:21Speaker 5: Top 40 when I was 10 years old in Atlanta,
- 30:23Speaker 5: my bedroom.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I pretended. I actually called myself their names. weird.
- 30:28Speaker 1: That is crazy. I remember listening to Rick Dees and
- 30:30Speaker 1: Ellen Kay and like the birthday game, driving to school
- 30:33Speaker 1: and like never thinking in a million years that we
- 30:35Speaker 1: would be here.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Do you know what that's called though?
- 30:37Speaker 1: Huh?
- 30:38Speaker 6: Do you know what that's called?
- 30:39Speaker 2: Manifesting.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, we know that term.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Like Eureka moment.
- 30:46Speaker 5: I thought it was going to be some big new
- 30:48Speaker 5: vocabulary word that I was going to use to dictate
- 30:50Speaker 5: my life going forward.
- 30:51Speaker 2: 102.7 Kiss FM. You know, it's interesting.
- 30:57Speaker 5: Just before 9 o'clock, before it's the final hour of
- 30:59Speaker 5: the show, everyone said, blame me and team up on
- 31:02Speaker 5: me for this. And if we're a team, if this
- 31:05Speaker 5: is a group, then it's all of our fault.
- 31:07Speaker 6: Respectfully, it's not.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Michaela, I don't appreciate this.
- 31:12Speaker 5: I donated my testimonial to your hinge to say what
- 31:18Speaker 5: I say that was perfect on that testimonial.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Zippity. Zippity.
- 31:21Speaker 2: She's zippity. She go out with Michaela. Zippity, zippity. Zippity, zippity.
- 31:25Speaker 2: She's great. Zippity. I put myself out there for you.
- 31:28Speaker 6: You gave her four stars.
- 31:30Speaker 4: You did.
- 31:31Speaker 1: But this has nothing to do with her hinge. This
- 31:32Speaker 1: has to do with the dating show that she went on.
- 31:35Speaker 2: For what? She's blaming me for this guy, Rusty, going awry.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I kind of agree with her.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Why?
- 31:41Speaker 2: What happened?
- 31:42Speaker 9: So I think after you talked to him, he just
- 31:45Speaker 9: got scared. And so he kind of just really stopped talking.
- 31:50Speaker 9: talking to me, and I feel like maybe that's why
- 31:52Speaker 9: we haven't hung out.
- 31:52Speaker 5: Well, this is not my fault. I only knew about
- 31:55Speaker 5: Rusty to talk to him here because you told me.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Rusty kept him all to himself.
- 31:59Speaker 6: Wait, so Rusty called in?
- 32:01Speaker 1: You guys talked to Rusty?
- 32:03Speaker 3: Where were you?
- 32:04Speaker 2: I had the flu. Oh, you were out sick. Where
- 32:06Speaker 2: were you? Oh, you missed this? Yeah. I had flu B.
- 32:09Speaker 2: We met the guy. We met the guy on the air.
- 32:12Speaker 2: We loved him. He was great. Charming, funny.
- 32:14Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 32:16Speaker 2: This is what happens.
- 32:16Speaker 4: Okay.
- 32:17Speaker 2: You get the flu. You miss out on Rusty. Obviously.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Okay.
- 32:19Speaker 1: So what did you say to Rusty then?
- 32:21Speaker 2: I said, I can't wait for you guys to get together.
- 32:23Speaker 1: She needs you.
- 32:24Speaker 2: You need him.
- 32:24Speaker 4: I need clips.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I need to hear what you said.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Oh, clips of Rusty. I don't know if we can
- 32:27Speaker 2: play him back now.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Yes, of course we can.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Well, Mikayla.
- 32:31Speaker 5: This is your fault because you told me to talk
- 32:36Speaker 5: to him on the air or I wouldn't have respectfully.
- 32:38Speaker 6: Ryan's right.
- 32:40Speaker 1: You respectfully say respectfully.
- 32:41Speaker 9: You all wanted to talk to him.
- 32:44Speaker 2: So, well, you can't blame us. So, okay.
- 32:47Speaker 1: We have clips.
- 32:47Speaker 7: We have clips.
- 32:47Speaker 2: We have clips.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Well, go ahead.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Play a clip.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Number one.
- 32:51Speaker 2: What is it about Michaela that you were drawn to?
- 32:54Speaker 4: I was in the audience when Michaela started walking, and
- 32:57Speaker 4: I was like, oh, my gosh, that's her.
- 32:58Speaker 2: I don't stand a chance. All right, I should probably believe. She's, like,
- 33:01Speaker 2: way out of my league. I was nervous. Self-deprecating, charming,
- 33:07Speaker 2: way out of the complimentary, way out of my league.
- 33:10Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 33:10Speaker 1: That's not bad. Your question's not bad.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Okay. My question's right on.
- 33:15Speaker 4: What else?
- 33:15Speaker 2: All right, now.
- 33:16Speaker 5: She said you came up with a great first date.
- 33:19Speaker 5: Where are you going? Because Tanya and I will be nearby.
- 33:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 1: We're going to, we might start with some art, do
- 33:26Speaker 1: a little art walk in Culver City.
- 33:28Speaker 2: And I think I'm going to grab some pizza. I mean,
- 33:31Speaker 2: this is good. It's all good.
- 33:33Speaker 1: He went from we're going to we might.
- 33:36Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Oh, gosh.
- 33:38Speaker 1: You guys.
- 33:41Speaker 2: She's not wrong. My fault was his fault.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Give us another one.
- 33:44Speaker 5: Give us another one.
- 33:45Speaker 2: He chose the words.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 33:46Speaker 5: One more.
- 33:46Speaker 6: Rusty, what's your Zodiac sign?
- 33:48Speaker 2: Oh, I'm a Libra.
- 33:50Speaker 5: See, I blame Tanya now. She asked that dumb question.
- 33:54Speaker 5: The zodiac sign.
- 33:55Speaker 2: How cliche.
- 33:57Speaker 6: Nick just posted one more.
- 33:58Speaker 2: So predictable. All right, well, good luck, Rusty, and take care.
- 34:02Speaker 2: She's into you. Later, bro.
- 34:04Speaker 1: She's into you?
- 34:05Speaker 2: You're welcome.
- 34:08Speaker 1: That's what did it. No, I don't think that's bad.
- 34:11Speaker 13: I don't know.
- 34:11Speaker 5: Anyway, well, one meant to be, and you're welcome for that, too.
- 34:14Speaker 5: So are we back to Hinge? Maybe I'll get some
- 34:17Speaker 5: pickup lines on Hinge to read.
- 34:18Speaker 6: We're back on Hinge.
- 34:20Speaker 5: On air.
- 34:21Speaker 2: On air with Ryan Seacrest. All right, here's the question
- 34:26Speaker 2: on this.
- 34:28Speaker 5: When is it acceptable to start decorating for Christmas?
- 34:32Speaker 2: November 1?
- 34:33Speaker 6: That's when I'm doing it. November 1st.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Okay, so basically, is it okay post-Halloween? Or do you
- 34:39Speaker 2: have to wait for after Thanksgiving?
- 34:41Speaker 1: I think there's no right or wrong answer here. It
- 34:42Speaker 1: just depends on what. Well, the malls will start decorating
- 34:45Speaker 1: in like July.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Exactly. They're going to sell stuff. When's that tree at
- 34:49Speaker 2: the Citadel go up?
- 34:51Speaker 1: Oh, the tree just arrived last week at the Citadel, actually.
- 34:54Speaker 5: It did?
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yes.
- 34:56Speaker 1: So they started already working on this tree. It is massive,
- 35:00Speaker 1: 115 feet. It got delivered all the way from Mount Shasta.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I mean, the thing is huge. And it's 70 feet
- 35:08Speaker 1: taller than the Hollywood sign. How crazy is that?
- 35:11Speaker 2: A Hollywood sign is not huge when you get up there.
- 35:14Speaker 1: A Hollywood sign is massive.
- 35:16Speaker 2: It's giant.
- 35:17Speaker 1: So they're going to spend two weeks decorating this thing.
- 35:19Speaker 1: You know the deal. It's going to have like 18,000 lights,
- 35:21Speaker 1: like all this crazy stuff. It's going to be beautiful.
- 35:24Speaker 1: The Grove and the Americana usually do it just after Halloween.
- 35:28Speaker 1: So I feel like we're right in the same wheelhouse
- 35:31Speaker 1: as to when they're going to start putting their trees up.
- 35:33Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 35:34Speaker 1: So like Halloween is this Saturday night.
- 35:36Speaker 4: Right?
- 35:37Speaker 9: Yes.
- 35:38Speaker 1: November 1st is Sunday.
- 35:39Speaker 4: Yep.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Do the Halloween decorations come down Sunday and then do
- 35:42Speaker 1: you immediately put up Christmas?
- 35:43Speaker 5: Yes.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I got to tell you something. Why not? Thank you.
- 35:47Speaker 5: Everybody likes the decorations. It makes life better. Frankly, if
- 35:50Speaker 5: you put them up after Thanksgiving, it goes too fast.
- 35:54Speaker 5: It puts you in the spirit. There are only so
- 35:56Speaker 5: many good things on this planet to look forward to.
- 35:58Speaker 5: That is one of them. There's no real decorations for Thanksgiving.
- 36:02Speaker 5: That hearth, that's a bunch of nothing.
- 36:05Speaker 2: What's a hearth?
- 36:06Speaker 1: A little turkey here and there.
- 36:07Speaker 2: What's a hearth?
- 36:10Speaker 1: Is it that the swirly thing you put on?
- 36:11Speaker 2: The wicker swirly thing you put some wheat in.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Oh, that's a cornucopia. What's a hearth?
- 36:18Speaker 6: A hearth is nothing.
- 36:19Speaker 2: It's a wreath. A hearth?
- 36:21Speaker 1: Isn't a hearth like the floor of a fireplace?
- 36:24Speaker 2: Yeah, the floor in front of your fireplace.
- 36:26Speaker 13: I know that.
- 36:27Speaker 2: The floor in front of your fireplace?
- 36:28Speaker 1: It's a hearth, yes.
- 36:29Speaker 2: What's that wicker thing that you stuff stuff in for Thanksgiving? Cornucopia.
- 36:33Speaker 6: Cornucopia.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Don't act like you guys knew the difference.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 36:37Speaker 2: I call mine a hearth. Clearly, I'm wrong.
- 36:41Speaker 1: But there is a moment where you could do like
- 36:43Speaker 1: the fall leaves and you could make it a little
- 36:45Speaker 1: bit more Thanksgiving before you jump right into Santa Claus's
- 36:48Speaker 1: and everything.
- 36:50Speaker 6: My tree's going up November.
- 36:51Speaker 2: 1st, baby.
- 36:52Speaker 5: Put up your hearth or whatever, your cornucopia, and we're
- 36:55Speaker 5: going right into Christmas lights, green, red, and wreaths.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I love a wreath.
- 36:59Speaker 1: I do love a wreath.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Pine cone wreath.
- 37:00Speaker 1: 102.7.
- 37:02Speaker 2: It's Kiss FMLA.
- 37:05Speaker 5: Let me bring in the guy behind hits like this
- 37:08Speaker 5: with his band Matchbox 20. Can I play some of
- 37:11Speaker 5: these hits?
- 37:12Speaker 2: Come on.
- 37:12Speaker 5: It's like a soundtrack to my life when I'm listening
- 37:15Speaker 5: to these songs. There's Push. You know one of my favorites?
- 37:19Speaker 5: It's on my workout VO2 Max sprinting list.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Real world.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Sorry, Rob.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I don't mean to butcher you. Rob Thomas, my brother,
- 37:33Speaker 2: literally my brother. Good to see you, pal. Man, I
- 37:38Speaker 2: got this image of you with.
- 37:39Speaker 7: Your headphones on and you're on the treadmill and then
- 37:42Speaker 7: you don't even realize you're singing out loud.
- 37:44Speaker 2: That's true. And my very short pumas, I do it,
- 37:47Speaker 2: my short shorts. How are you doing, man? I'm great.
- 37:50Speaker 5: You know, I have to give some people context here.
- 37:52Speaker 5: You have been doing this for a long time and
- 37:55Speaker 5: playing some of the hits. You've got obviously songs throughout
- 37:57Speaker 5: your career that continue to.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Be on the charts. 30 years now. That's right. Is
- 38:01Speaker 2: it 30? Is it three decades? Yeah, this is our
- 38:03Speaker 2: 30th anniversary year.
- 38:06Speaker 5: I remember when we met, Push was just coming out
- 38:11Speaker 5: on radio. And you came into what we called the
- 38:15Speaker 5: Star Lounge. It's Star 98.7 where I used to work.
- 38:18Speaker 5: And met you guys. And I was a big fan.
- 38:22Speaker 5: I think from that day on, we became good friends.
- 38:25Speaker 5: And Now I feel like we're morphing into each other.
- 38:28Speaker 5: We're starting to look alike.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I know, I know.
- 38:31Speaker 7: I think the plan has finally started to begin. Speaking
- 38:36Speaker 7: of all that, Mahdi says hi, by the way.
- 38:40Speaker 2: You know this.
- 38:41Speaker 5: We've talked about my relationships in the past over the years. Unmarried,
- 38:44Speaker 5: still unmarried. You have figured it out for 27 years.
- 38:48Speaker 5: I know there's been ups and downs. Assuming we weren't
- 38:53Speaker 5: on air, what's your counsel to me?
- 38:56Speaker 7: I mean, I think you're doing the right thing. The worst,
- 38:58Speaker 7: the best thing to do is to find something like this.
- 39:00Speaker 7: And the worst thing to do is be stuck in
- 39:01Speaker 7: something that's not the real thing or the right thing.
- 39:04Speaker 7: So I think that like, I, I got really lucky
- 39:07Speaker 7: and I met my best friend 28 years ago and
- 39:10Speaker 7: then I married her and she stayed my best friend.
- 39:12Speaker 7: And we were lucky enough, I think, to evolve at
- 39:15Speaker 7: the same rate. Like sometimes that just doesn't happen. And we,
- 39:18Speaker 7: and we just, we check in with each other, you know,
- 39:20Speaker 7: at every stage of our life and we're still kind
- 39:22Speaker 7: of game for what the next one is.
- 39:24Speaker 5: Rob Thomas here. Matchbox 20's anniversary tour. We're going to
- 39:27Speaker 5: talk about it in a second. At what age did
- 39:30Speaker 5: you and Marisol get married?
- 39:33Speaker 2: We were 27.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Wow.
- 39:33Speaker 7: That would be the end of me.
- 39:38Speaker 6: The good age.
- 39:39Speaker 1: My husband was 27. I was 29.
- 39:40Speaker 7: Yeah, it's so funny because I had my son just before,
- 39:46Speaker 7: right when I met my wife from a previous relationship,
- 39:48Speaker 7: and so he's 28. And when I, most of my friends,
- 39:51Speaker 7: they got started a little later. So they're my age
- 39:53Speaker 7: and their kids are like five, six, you know, maybe 12.
- 39:57Speaker 7: And so they're all like, like I actually had people like, oh,
- 39:59Speaker 7: we should get our kids together and have like.
- 40:01Speaker 2: A play date. And I'm like, that's kind of creepy.
- 40:04Speaker 7: My son's almost 30.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Which I cannot fathom, my brother. I know.
- 40:12Speaker 7: He's going to be opening up, actually. His band is
- 40:14Speaker 7: playing first at the Hollywood Bowl when we play next summer.
- 40:17Speaker 7: He has a band called The Lucky, and they're going
- 40:19Speaker 7: to be opening.
- 40:19Speaker 1: How cool.
- 40:20Speaker 2: That's super cool. So let's talk about it. You've got
- 40:22Speaker 2: the show coming up. It's summer. It's June 9th. It's
- 40:24Speaker 2: at the Bowl.
- 40:25Speaker 5: Tickets are on sale now for Matchbox 20's 30th anniversary tour.
- 40:30Speaker 5: What's it like to get back out there and see
- 40:32Speaker 5: everybody who's followed you for such a long time and
- 40:35Speaker 5: do what you've been doing and loved for so long?
- 40:38Speaker 2: Well, you know, it's fun. Like we were just in LA.
- 40:40Speaker 7: We just did like a show at the Fonda Theater, right?
- 40:43Speaker 7: Where we just announced it like the day before, came
- 40:46Speaker 7: in and played the first record back to back. And
- 40:48Speaker 7: we haven't played some of those songs in over 25
- 40:49Speaker 7: years since the first record was over. And so a
- 40:52Speaker 7: lot of those people flew in from all over the world.
- 40:54Speaker 7: And they were like a group of like the hardcore
- 40:56Speaker 7: initiated people. I think if you get lucky enough to
- 41:00Speaker 7: do something long enough to realize what it's like to
- 41:03Speaker 7: become someone else's nostalgia, it's a very cool feeling.
- 41:07Speaker 2: You know what I mean? And so like now, you know, you.
- 41:10Speaker 7: Go out and you play these songs and it's a
- 41:12Speaker 7: shared experience with all of these people. And it has
- 41:14Speaker 7: been for just for a really, really long time.
- 41:18Speaker 5: Rob Thomas, so many great memories listening to your music.
- 41:21Speaker 5: I can put myself, I mean, the track of Santana,
- 41:24Speaker 5: the music there, I can put myself in certain chapters of,
- 41:27Speaker 5: I think this is to your point about nostalgia. I
- 41:29Speaker 5: can remember certain chapters of my life when I listened
- 41:31Speaker 5: to certain albums or tracks off albums to your songs.
- 41:34Speaker 2: I think a lot of people can do that. Well,
- 41:37Speaker 2: you know, my wife and I do that, right?
- 41:38Speaker 7: And it's funny because me and Mario would be like,
- 41:40Speaker 7: we'll try and figure out like when something was happening.
- 41:42Speaker 7: And I'd be like, no, baby, that was mad season.
- 41:44Speaker 7: That was mad season period. I know that was first
- 41:47Speaker 7: solo record period. Like everything that we do is kind
- 41:50Speaker 7: of like we put it in those compartments because we
- 41:52Speaker 7: realized what we were doing, you know, based on where
- 41:54Speaker 7: I was.
- 41:56Speaker 5: Get your tickets to go see these guys on sale now. Rob,
- 41:59Speaker 5: is that an aura ring that you're flashing around there?
- 42:01Speaker 2: Is that your sleep monitor?
- 42:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:03Speaker 7: I mean, I struggle with this damn thing.
- 42:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 42:07Speaker 7: Honestly, Ryan, I don't do anything with this information. I
- 42:11Speaker 7: stopped really checking it. All it's done is let me know.
- 42:15Speaker 7: The one thing that I have to do to survive
- 42:17Speaker 7: is sleep, and so it just lets me know that
- 42:18Speaker 7: I'm not doing that right.
