- 0:59Speaker 1: welcome back to Misunderstood. I'm your host, Rachel Yucatel. You
- 1:03Speaker 1: watched today's guest grow up in front of your eyes
- 1:05Speaker 1: on Baywatch, so you probably think you know him, but
- 1:08Speaker 1: Jeremy Jackson is not that kid anymore. He opens up
- 1:12Speaker 1: about growing up in Hollywood, his addiction issues, a couple
- 1:15Speaker 1: of infamous reality show stints, his spirituality, and how everything
- 1:19Speaker 1: brought him to where he is now, helping others. It's
- 1:23Speaker 1: such an interesting and powerful interview that I had with Jeremy.
- 1:27Speaker 1: We have so many mutual friends and it was such
- 1:29Speaker 1: an honor to be able to sit down with him
- 1:30Speaker 1: and connect in the way that I did. I think
- 1:32Speaker 1: you guys are going to be fascinated by who he's
- 1:34Speaker 1: become and what he's been through. And he really breaks
- 1:37Speaker 1: down some interesting stories and talks all about what it
- 1:39Speaker 1: was like to work with David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson.
- 1:44Speaker 1: And he named drops a ton. Wait till you find
- 1:47Speaker 1: out who he was up against, who almost got the
- 1:50Speaker 1: part of Hobie on Baywatch instead of him. You're going
- 1:54Speaker 1: to be floored. So sit back, get a drink, relax,
- 1:58Speaker 1: and listen to our interview with Jeremy Jackson. Hey Jeremy,
- 2:30Speaker 1: I'm so excited you're here. Thank you for joining Misunderstood.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Aloha, good to see you.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So you are vacationing in Hawaii. How is it over there?
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's beautiful. It's really unfortunate. My original plan was
- 2:45Speaker 2: to go to Maui, an island that I know well,
- 2:47Speaker 2: but of course there's the fires over there. So... We
- 2:52Speaker 2: had really wanted to just keep going and volunteer, get
- 2:57Speaker 2: our hands dirty, boots on the ground. But the state-enrolled
- 3:02Speaker 2: locals included friends of mine that live on the islands
- 3:05Speaker 2: that just don't come. They want everybody gone. Power is down.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Phones are down. There's really no way to help other
- 3:13Speaker 2: than donating water, backpacks, toothbrushes, stuff like that, the necessities.
- 3:21Speaker 2: So we had to divert some stuff. But now I'm
- 3:25Speaker 2: I'm in Kauai with a dear friend of mine, actually,
- 3:28Speaker 2: Eric Neese, who I want to get you in touch
- 3:30Speaker 2: with for your show. He'd be fantastic. I got some
- 3:34Speaker 2: friends out here that are doing a ayahuasca ceremony with
- 3:37Speaker 2: him on some sacred ground.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Wow. Are you going to do that?
- 3:42Speaker 2: No, I've. I participated in them at the meditation level
- 3:46Speaker 2: just doing breath work. They're beautiful ceremonies. It's powerful medicine.
- 3:50Speaker 2: It's so powerful medicine that you can tap in and
- 3:54Speaker 2: have an experience. I left my body for four and
- 3:56Speaker 2: a half hours with no ayahuasca in my– crossed my lips.
- 4:01Speaker 2: All I did is lay down on the ground and breathe,
- 4:04Speaker 2: and it pulled me into the vortex. It can be
- 4:07Speaker 2: amazing stuff, especially when done with somebody– who really channels
- 4:11Speaker 2: that energy, who has a relationship with it, a real shaman,
- 4:15Speaker 2: you know?
- 4:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Oh, I'm so interested in that whole topic.
- 4:17Speaker 2: How about you? Have you ever done it?
- 4:18Speaker 1: I have not because I'm scared of throwing up. And
- 4:21Speaker 1: so I'm, it's like a legit, like I'm petrified of it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: When I was four years old, I ate poison berries.
- 4:28Speaker 1: My mother gave me Ipecac. I, to this day, have
- 4:30Speaker 1: never thrown up again, knock on wood. And it's like
- 4:34Speaker 1: a fear of mine. But I know that they say
- 4:35Speaker 1: that that means you're like purging some stuff in you
- 4:38Speaker 1: and it would probably be good for me.
- 4:40Speaker 2: You know, so attachment is the root of all human suffering.
- 4:46Speaker 2: And you're attached to this idea of vomiting. Your trauma
- 4:53Speaker 2: is officially your God. And it's like Jesus parts the
- 4:57Speaker 2: clouds and comes down and reaches his hands and says, Rachel,
- 4:59Speaker 2: come with me. You're like, but I'm a puke. I'm
- 5:03Speaker 2: going to hold on to this puke instead of having
- 5:06Speaker 2: this spiritual breakthrough. I want you to put one in
- 5:11Speaker 2: one hand and one in the other and tell you
- 5:13Speaker 2: which one carries more weight to everybody else, right? Like,
- 5:16Speaker 2: oh my gosh, no, I want the spiritual breakthrough. I
- 5:18Speaker 2: want to be happy, joyous, and free. Nobody would choose
- 5:21Speaker 2: to hold on to not vomiting if it takes vomiting, right?
- 5:25Speaker 2: And this is why the Bible says it's easier to
- 5:27Speaker 2: fit a camel through the needle's eye. than a rich
- 5:30Speaker 2: man to get into heaven because a rich man represents
- 5:34Speaker 2: he who has much possessions, he who is carrying load
- 5:38Speaker 2: with him that cannot go through that small hole. So
- 5:43Speaker 2: I love this example of taking something so small As
- 5:47Speaker 2: I just, I don't want to vomit and looking at
- 5:50Speaker 2: what it could be potentially costing you.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I totally agree. You almost just made me tear up
- 5:54Speaker 1: because that's such a good way to put it. I've
- 5:57Speaker 1: never thought of it that way. You know what I mean?
- 5:59Speaker 1: And it has prevented me from doing all sorts of
- 6:01Speaker 1: things my whole life, to be honest with you. So
- 6:03Speaker 1: enjoying roller coasters, eating certain foods, going on trips. I mean,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it's so dumb, you know?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Well, maybe it's been beneficial to you over drinking. That's right.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I do not.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't get drunk because of it. I don't drink
- 6:16Speaker 1: a lot. Yeah, it's very true. But, but ayahuasca is
- 6:19Speaker 1: something I've been super interested in. I want to do
- 6:21Speaker 1: an episode on it because I think people are fascinated
- 6:24Speaker 1: by it.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Well, I got your guy. I got your guy. He
- 6:26Speaker 2: spent two years with the Shipibo Indians in Peru. He's
- 6:31Speaker 2: been indoctrinated as an official, you know, tribesman. He's done
- 6:35Speaker 2: over 300, ceremonies on himself. He leads people. I mean,
- 6:40Speaker 2: he moved to Kauai where he walks barefoot and he's
- 6:42Speaker 2: just communes with nature and, and speaks truth and heals people.
- 6:46Speaker 2: It's wonderful. Yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I love that. So I have a question.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Do you know, he's been doing it for 15 years.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Wow.
- 6:51Speaker 2: So you got good.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I cannot wait. So do you do, do you not
- 6:55Speaker 1: choose to drink the medicine or whatever they call it
- 6:58Speaker 1: because of where you are in your life with not
- 7:01Speaker 1: doing drugs and not drinking?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah. So, you know, I, I made a clear decision to,
- 7:07Speaker 2: to really participate in this unenhanced, unaided. I mean, look, mushrooms, microdosing, macrodosing, LSD, microdosing, macrodosing, DMT, microdosing, macrodosing, ayahuasca, amazing,
- 7:26Speaker 2: beautiful things. No doubt, no doubt holds true. breakthrough, realizations,
- 7:35Speaker 2: enhanced cognition, no doubt. And I've done it, you know,
- 7:39Speaker 2: I've done those things, minus ayahuasca and ibogaine. I've done
- 7:46Speaker 2: a lot of those hallucinogens and had powerful experiences. But
- 7:49Speaker 2: my most recent download, which was about three years ago,
- 7:53Speaker 2: you know, I've had bouts of sobriety that were 12 years,
- 7:57Speaker 2: three years, a couple times. So I've really spent most
- 8:01Speaker 2: of the Last 22 years of my life, I've been
- 8:05Speaker 2: legitimately 100% medication-free, clean, and sober for about 18 of them.
- 8:11Speaker 2: But the last message I got was really clear, and
- 8:15Speaker 2: it was like, there's parts of you that cannot be
- 8:19Speaker 2: helped with exterior solutions. There is an inside journey that
- 8:24Speaker 2: must happen raw. It must happen through emotional and spiritual, unaided,
- 8:31Speaker 2: unabetted ways. unassisted medically or medicinally. So I've just been
- 8:39Speaker 2: following that intuition, that download, and really seeking to heal
- 8:45Speaker 2: in various other ways through meditation, through self-reflection, through studying
- 8:49Speaker 2: various religions, through prayer, through meditation, through working with others.
- 8:53Speaker 2: So in a roundabout way to answer your question. Yes.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Oh, that's amazing.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 8:57Speaker 1: So I think obviously most people know your name because
- 9:01Speaker 1: of the, because of Baywatch and because of Hobie on
- 9:04Speaker 1: Baywatch and you were part of this iconic sort of
- 9:08Speaker 1: one of a kind at the time, you know, the
- 9:10Speaker 1: biggest show in television with a ton of stars.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 9:14Speaker 1: So I, before we talk about it, I just want
- 9:16Speaker 1: to know like how you got there, how you got
- 9:19Speaker 1: to the place where you were offered that spot on
- 9:21Speaker 1: the shelf.
- 9:23Speaker 2: So, you know, I got 120 something stitches in my
- 9:29Speaker 2: forehead when I was a year old. So one year old,
- 9:34Speaker 2: I was practicing my Michael Jackson dance moves. While I
- 9:39Speaker 2: was still in diapers, I was obsessively, compulsively committed to
- 9:42Speaker 2: my craft. I was going to sing. I was going
- 9:45Speaker 2: to dance. It was in my blood. It was in
- 9:47Speaker 2: my bones. I did ballet. I started ballet at three.
- 9:52Speaker 2: I'm classically trained in dance. It was just my life.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I didn't know it was a job. I didn't know,
- 10:01Speaker 2: but I knew I wanted to perform and I wanted
- 10:04Speaker 2: to infuse and transmute energy from crowds. So anywhere I
- 10:10Speaker 2: could get a spot on a table, I was dancing.
- 10:13Speaker 2: I didn't know how to tap dance. I'm pretending, you know,
- 10:15Speaker 2: I'm watching Shirley Temple and stuff. I'm like, this is it.
- 10:17Speaker 2: This is what I'm meant to do. So, you know, really,
- 10:20Speaker 2: I'm not who I am because I was on Baywatch.
- 10:23Speaker 2: You know, I got Baywatch because of who I was innately,
- 10:26Speaker 2: you know, on a cellular visceral level. It's just who
- 10:29Speaker 2: I was and what I had to do. I discovered
- 10:31Speaker 2: that outlet early and I wouldn't stop. It was my
- 10:35Speaker 2: It's what I ate, slept and breathed. And boom, you know,
- 10:38Speaker 2: I get in front of an agent and they're like, well,
- 10:41Speaker 2: you got to get this kid and stuff. I had a,
- 10:44Speaker 2: you know, a poor single mom. We didn't know anything
- 10:48Speaker 2: about the entertainment industry. She didn't know we were in
- 10:51Speaker 2: Orange County. It's an hour or more away from L.A.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And it was just kind of a random number on
- 10:58Speaker 2: a bulletin board. Child actors wanted him. My mom's like, well, geez,
- 11:02Speaker 2: he's such a ham, you know, and this was at
- 11:05Speaker 2: five years old. So you just kind of put a
- 11:08Speaker 2: shot in the dark up there. And then it was
- 11:10Speaker 2: just a roller coaster ride of commercials and movies and boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 11:14Speaker 2: It just flooded in. Wow.
- 11:16Speaker 1: OK, so what was that like going to set the
- 11:19Speaker 1: first day on Baywatch or actually your first?
- 11:22Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 11:25Speaker 3: for it?
- 11:25Speaker 4: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 11:28Speaker 4: more cars for more dealerships than, like, anywhere else.
- 11:31Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 11:33Speaker 5: It's Dune-A-D-L.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Where?
- 11:37Speaker 3: Dune-A-D-L.
- 11:38Speaker 6: There's an accent on the E.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Do you mean.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Lift?
- 11:44Speaker 2: Please.
- 11:45Speaker 3: You going past Kimmage?
- 11:46Speaker 1: Oh, Kimmage.
- 11:47Speaker 4: No.
- 11:48Speaker 6: Dundale Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 11:52Speaker 1: That you ever were on I mean did you get
- 11:54Speaker 1: nervous like tell me about.
- 11:56Speaker 2: What that was like so the the first set I
- 11:59Speaker 2: really was ever on was a Mattel color racers the
- 12:03Speaker 2: little cars that change color okay um.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I remember those. Yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:10Speaker 2: And I was so prepared. I mean, I loved Hot Wheels.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I was obsessed with Hot Wheels already. I'm six years old.
- 12:17Speaker 2: You know, I've gone on maybe 10 or 15 auditions already.
- 12:22Speaker 2: And here's my first one. So for 10 or 15 auditions,
- 12:25Speaker 2: I've been telling myself, this is I'm going to get this.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I'm going to get this. I'm going to get this.
- 12:28Speaker 2: This is the one I'm going to get this. And,
- 12:31Speaker 2: you know, took a little bit of failure and boom,
- 12:34Speaker 2: I get it. So I was so prepared, so dedicated,
- 12:37Speaker 2: so astute, so, you know, pragmatic, shaking hands, looking, you know,
- 12:43Speaker 2: grown men in the eyes that they hired me for
- 12:46Speaker 2: six more commercials. I mean, they were like, you're the
- 12:49Speaker 2: Mattel kid. Congratulations. You're the easiest kid to work with
- 12:52Speaker 2: we've ever had. And I don't know how I knew
- 12:55Speaker 2: to do that or it's just, you know, it just happened.
- 12:59Speaker 2: It was cool. It was so cool. You know, imagine
- 13:03Speaker 2: for a six year old kid to be who's obsessed
- 13:05Speaker 2: with Hot Wheels. And then like getting Hot Wheels and
- 13:08Speaker 2: free Hot Wheels and being at the Mattel factory, you know,
- 13:12Speaker 2: was the neatest thing ever. Right.
- 13:13Speaker 1: That must have been the coolest thing ever. All right.
- 13:15Speaker 1: So when you found out you were getting Baywatch, was this,
- 13:19Speaker 1: did you know what a hit this would be? Did
- 13:21Speaker 1: you know who you were going to be acting with
- 13:24Speaker 1: and the level of, you know, celebrity that you all
- 13:28Speaker 1: were going to have one day?
- 13:30Speaker 2: Well, you know, I learned pretty early on you want
- 13:33Speaker 2: to think positively, but you don't want to get your
- 13:36Speaker 2: heart set on stuff because it's painful to let down.
- 13:40Speaker 2: So if you don't get it right. However, I had
- 13:45Speaker 2: been watching Knight Rider in my car seat. I mean,
- 13:49Speaker 2: I would get in my car seat and sit in
- 13:51Speaker 2: it in front of the TV, you know, before we'd
- 13:53Speaker 2: go on rides and stuff. I had a Knight Rider
- 13:57Speaker 2: big wheel. So I was already playing Knight Rider as
- 14:01Speaker 2: a cow was like, I mean, it was Elvis Presley.
- 14:03Speaker 2: It was Michael Jackson. It was, and it was David Hasselhoff.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I mean, if you could blend the three coolest people
- 14:09Speaker 2: in the world together for me, it was that combo. And,
- 14:14Speaker 2: and of course Rambo came in a little bit later.
- 14:16Speaker 2: So you got like Stallone, a little Stallone, um, and David,
- 14:20Speaker 2: a little David Hasselhoff, a little MJ and a little Elvis. Uh,
- 14:23Speaker 2: those were my idols. And, um, So to be, I
- 14:28Speaker 2: grew up at the beach. I already boogie boarded all
- 14:31Speaker 2: the time. I was tan. I literally had sand in
- 14:35Speaker 2: my shoes. I had sun streaks in my hair. And
- 14:38Speaker 2: then you go to LA, you know, you got these
- 14:39Speaker 2: Burbank kids who are shuttled in from God knows where
- 14:43Speaker 2: with their perfect outfits and their flip, their stage moms.
- 14:47Speaker 2: And they're like all drama trained. And I'm like coming
- 14:51Speaker 2: in like this surf kid already with the single mom. Um,
- 14:55Speaker 2: it was kind of like a match made in heaven
- 14:57Speaker 2: for me, but, uh, I had no idea it was
- 14:59Speaker 2: going to be a smash hit. Of course you want
- 15:01Speaker 2: it to be, but, um, you know, it wasn't really, really,
- 15:06Speaker 2: really a big deal for me, man. It was, I mean, I,
- 15:09Speaker 2: it was six auditions, by the way. It was a
- 15:11Speaker 2: lot of, a lot of, oh my gosh, yes, they
- 15:14Speaker 2: like me. Oh my gosh, I'm closer. I'm closer. Like
- 15:17Speaker 2: Leonardo DiCaprio and I were some of the last picks.
- 15:20Speaker 3: No way.
- 15:22Speaker 2: If not the two last picks. Will, I believe Will Horniff,
- 15:26Speaker 2: who he was in the TV show Lassie, um, I
- 15:31Speaker 2: believe just after Baywatch and Leonardo DiCaprio and I.
- 15:35Speaker 1: So wait, time out, time out. You beat out Leonardo
- 15:39Speaker 1: DiCaprio for the spot.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I did. I did. I bet he's kicking himself now,
- 15:43Speaker 2: isn't he? Poor guy.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Poor guy. What a horrible downhill career.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Wow.
- 15:52Speaker 1: So that must've felt good when you finally got it.
- 15:55Speaker 2: It was amazing. And of course, I just got to
- 15:59Speaker 2: hang out on the beach all day and do what
- 16:00Speaker 2: I love to do and hang out with Knight Rider.
- 16:03Speaker 2: As far as I was concerned, he was going to
- 16:05Speaker 2: be my real dad and I was going to convince
- 16:06Speaker 2: him and my mom to get married.
- 16:08Speaker 1: How did that go?
- 16:11Speaker 2: It didn't. Right.
- 16:13Speaker 1: So, all right. But what was your relationship with a
- 16:16Speaker 1: lot of these actors? Did you get close to them?
- 16:18Speaker 1: Were they distant because of the age?
- 16:22Speaker 2: So, um, I, I honestly caused kind of a lot of, Oh,
- 16:27Speaker 2: on the, on the set.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Uh, well, yes, there was a big age
- 16:31Speaker 2: difference of course. And you know, the, my characters, um,
- 16:38Speaker 2: notoriety was really kind of building. And in the early
- 16:41Speaker 2: days of Baywatch for the, for the real Baywatch fans
- 16:44Speaker 2: out there, uh, if you notice, you know, the first
- 16:46Speaker 2: three or four seasons were really kind of family driven.
- 16:49Speaker 2: There was a lot of, My character getting in trouble.
- 16:52Speaker 2: You know, there was almost kind of a Mayberry, you know,
- 16:58Speaker 2: Andy Taylor. What's that? What was that show with Opie? And,
- 17:02Speaker 2: you know, there was always like.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:04Speaker 2: You know what I'm talking about, right?
- 17:06Speaker 1: Andy Griffith show.
- 17:08Speaker 2: The Andy Griffith show. It's like, dad's not a cop.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Dad's a lifeguard. Dad goes out to do his job
- 17:13Speaker 2: and son's going to school and getting a little, little mayhem.
- 17:16Speaker 2: And then dad comes home to teach son a lesson.
- 17:18Speaker 2: There was kind of a lot of that in the show, um,
- 17:22Speaker 2: which was amazing. So my character got to have cool
- 17:25Speaker 2: girlfriends and they'd bring kids in to do stuff with me, um,
- 17:29Speaker 2: skateboarding in Venice beach with, with, uh, other kid actors, um,
- 17:35Speaker 2: But as far as the adults, Pam was, gosh, in
- 17:37Speaker 2: her early 20s when she came on the show. She
- 17:40Speaker 2: was a big sweetheart. Most everybody took you know, very
- 17:45Speaker 2: kindly and loving and supportive to me. I became friends
- 17:48Speaker 2: with everybody. We came somewhat of a dysfunctional family pretty
- 17:51Speaker 2: early on. David was of course, Knight Rider, you know,
- 17:55Speaker 2: a millionaire icon. That's like, um, you know, probably annoyed
- 18:01Speaker 2: with working with this hyperactive kid that wants him to
- 18:03Speaker 2: be his dad all the time. So that was an
- 18:06Speaker 2: interesting dynamic.
- 18:08Speaker 1: But was he kind to you? Did he take you
- 18:09Speaker 1: under his wing? Did he teach you how to act
- 18:11Speaker 1: at all?
- 18:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah. I mean, just watching the guy and yes,
- 18:16Speaker 2: he did take me aside and teach me a lot
- 18:18Speaker 2: of life lessons. Um, he was, uh, he was a
- 18:22Speaker 2: powerful demonstration of what it, what it looks like to,
- 18:25Speaker 2: you know, be kind of a God, you know? Um,
- 18:29Speaker 2: which kind of set me up for failure. I would,
- 18:31Speaker 2: I would say later on, um, because, because holding that
- 18:36Speaker 2: standard of existence, um, is, is pretty high level, pretty
- 18:41Speaker 2: high functioning, um, And kind of the higher you are,
- 18:44Speaker 2: the further you have to fall, essentially. So there was
- 18:47Speaker 2: that dichotomy of, yes, he was loving and supportive. He
- 18:50Speaker 2: told me things like, you know, no one's ever going
- 18:52Speaker 2: to believe in you as much as you believe in yourself.
- 18:55Speaker 2: So he was on the phone with his agents and
- 18:57Speaker 2: his managers fighting for himself and kind of taught me
- 19:00Speaker 2: how to really fight for yourself. And he was always
- 19:03Speaker 2: very loving and very kind to his fans and took
- 19:06Speaker 2: time out. He taught me how to do that and
- 19:08Speaker 2: make it about, make it about your supporters and, um,
- 19:12Speaker 2: you know, but also a busy guy with a busy
- 19:14Speaker 2: schedule and everybody out on his coattails. So being the
- 19:18Speaker 2: kid who just wanted quality time, um, was a little
- 19:22Speaker 2: sad at times, you know? Yeah. Yeah.
- 19:25Speaker 1: So you mentioned Pamela Anderson. What was it like to
- 19:28Speaker 1: work with her? Did you, you know, get to experience
- 19:31Speaker 1: sort of what she's come out talking about now, which
- 19:34Speaker 1: is that she wanted to be a serious actor. They
- 19:36Speaker 1: didn't really take her that seriously or would give her
- 19:39Speaker 1: a lot of her speaking parts were taken out because
- 19:41Speaker 1: of the way she looked essentially. Did you?
- 19:44Speaker 2: Sure. I haven't seen any of it. I really haven't.
- 19:51Speaker 2: And gosh, you know, what would I say about that?
- 19:54Speaker 2: I would say that when Pamela came on the show,
- 19:59Speaker 2: I think is when the producers really started tasting blood.
- 20:04Speaker 2: It's like she was so hot that, that the ratings
- 20:09Speaker 2: did amazing things. And, uh, the, the fanatics, you know, we,
- 20:14Speaker 2: we went from having a following to having fanatics, you know,
- 20:18Speaker 2: people that would fly across the country just to get
- 20:20Speaker 2: a look at her across the yellow tape line, you know, um,
- 20:24Speaker 2: David was already that type of star. Um, but she
- 20:28Speaker 2: added something extra. And I think it's when the producers
- 20:31Speaker 2: really became like sharks and And they began their quest
- 20:35Speaker 2: of finding the next Pam. It's just, just pack the
- 20:38Speaker 2: show with these lightning in a bottle, breathtaking beauties and
- 20:43Speaker 2: give the people what they want. They want to see
- 20:46Speaker 2: this fantasy of the most incredible people. Um, and I,
- 20:52Speaker 2: I love him. Sweetheart. I mean, just like such a
- 20:56Speaker 2: gentle and kind and delicate, wonderful person considerate. Um, However,
- 21:02Speaker 2: she was a terrible actress. I mean, at the same time,
- 21:05Speaker 2: I don't blame them for not giving her more stuff.
- 21:09Speaker 2: You know, it was almost uncomfortable to watch sometimes. Wow.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I don't know if I would have done much different.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Right, right, right.
- 21:18Speaker 2: As much as I love her.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I get it. And did you ever see Tommy?
- 21:20Speaker 2: However, look at Jason Momoa. Watch Baywatch Hawaii. Literally watch
- 21:25Speaker 2: Baywatch Hawaii. Jason Momoa, terrible actor. Like, oh, my gosh. Like, ugh.
- 21:32Speaker 2: And now he's incredible. So had they given her the
- 21:35Speaker 2: opportunity to grow and support her craft and had her
- 21:38Speaker 2: with private coaches, you know, could that have been different? Possibly. Right.
- 21:43Speaker 1: So you never saw the documentary that came out or
- 21:46Speaker 1: the made for TV movie about the sex tape. Did
- 21:48Speaker 1: you ever follow that?
- 21:50Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Okay, well, I like that. Yeah, I was going to
- 21:53Speaker 1: say you were there and I like that you know
- 21:55Speaker 1: her how you know her. You don't have to watch
- 21:57Speaker 1: all that stuff. So eventually you go on and decide
- 22:04Speaker 1: that you want to leave Baywatch. That was your decision,
- 22:06Speaker 1: not theirs. Will you tell me a little bit about
- 22:08Speaker 1: what happened there?
- 22:09Speaker 2: Yeah, so, you know, I was 18 years old. The
- 22:12Speaker 2: car is beautiful.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Where did you end up going for it?
- 22:19Speaker 4: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 22:22Speaker 4: more cars for more dealerships than, like, anywhere else.
- 22:25Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 22:27Speaker 5: It's Dune-A-D-L.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Where?
- 22:31Speaker 5: Dune-A-D-L. There's an accent on the E.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Do you mean.
- 22:35Speaker 5: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Lift? Please.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Are you going past Kimmage?
- 22:40Speaker 4: Oh, Kimmage!
- 22:41Speaker 2: No.
- 22:42Speaker 5: Dundale Cars.
- 22:43Speaker 6: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 22:45Speaker 2: 17... I had met a beautiful extra who was an
- 22:53Speaker 2: Idaho import, a ballerina who was gorgeous and we fell
- 22:59Speaker 2: in love. And, you know, I started partying really hard
- 23:04Speaker 2: with her. I mean, I had been drinking and doing
- 23:06Speaker 2: blow and going to mansion parties and hanging out at
- 23:08Speaker 2: the Playboy Mansion and stuff. I mean, 16 years old,
- 23:11Speaker 2: I was doing that. 14 years old, I was doing that,
- 23:16Speaker 2: but really turned a corner when I met her. She
- 23:19Speaker 2: was already addicted to crystal meth. Um, do you know
- 23:24Speaker 2: Bobby Brown? Yes. The model Bobby Brown. Yeah. You guys
- 23:28Speaker 2: are probably friends, right? Yeah. So, um, Bobby Brown was
- 23:31Speaker 2: taking diet pills back then, you know, no secret. I'm
- 23:33Speaker 2: not blowing her anonymity. She'll talk about that. And she
- 23:36Speaker 2: shared them with, uh, you know, my girl. So my
- 23:39Speaker 2: girl unbeknownst to me was addicted to crystal meth. I
- 23:42Speaker 2: run out of Coke, you know, the gentleman's drug. This
- 23:44Speaker 2: is a distinguished drug. This is what you do when
- 23:46Speaker 2: you're cool and have money. Um, and I do this
- 23:49Speaker 2: trailer trash, um, you know, stuff because I don't have
- 23:53Speaker 2: any more blow and we're like in a strange city. And, um,
- 23:56Speaker 2: so I became addicted to that with her and, uh,
- 23:59Speaker 2: highly and, and that drug just really ripped through me.
- 24:04Speaker 2: I mean, it just got a hold of me. naturally
- 24:07Speaker 2: hyperactive attention deficit disorder you know neurodivergent you know slightly
- 24:14Speaker 2: autistic even you want to do whatever I got stuff
- 24:17Speaker 2: going on I got a busy brain and that stuff
- 24:19Speaker 2: just boom boom just put me in laser focus, man.
- 24:24Speaker 2: And so I had this money and these people wanted
- 24:27Speaker 2: me and needed me. And, you know, I'm kind of
- 24:29Speaker 2: a extremist athlete mentality. Like I love that. I didn't
- 24:33Speaker 2: have to sleep. I love that. I could get my
- 24:36Speaker 2: to-do list done. And, um, you know, but one day
- 24:39Speaker 2: I was up, I was, I hadn't slept in five
- 24:43Speaker 2: days and I really needed sleep and I had to
- 24:47Speaker 2: work the next day. And I would, it was so,
- 24:49Speaker 2: I was so anxiety ridden. I was like, holy shit.
- 24:52Speaker 2: You know, like I can't retain any water. I haven't eaten.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I'm pale. I got to go to work. And, um,
- 25:00Speaker 2: you know, I showed up, I, I didn't get high and, uh,
- 25:05Speaker 2: you know, I joke around. I, I probably would have
- 25:07Speaker 2: been better if I would have just stayed high and
- 25:09Speaker 2: got through the day. But I was too weirded out
- 25:12Speaker 2: to be doing crystal meth in my trailer. Years of
- 25:16Speaker 2: being on this show and having this routine and knowing
- 25:20Speaker 2: how to hit my mark and show up and perform.
- 25:22Speaker 2: They called me One Take Jeremy. That was my nickname.
- 25:25Speaker 2: They loved me because we would just get it done
- 25:27Speaker 2: and we could move through the day. And here I am.
- 25:31Speaker 2: I've lost proper phonic pronunciation of words. My tongue's all
- 25:40Speaker 2: lazy in my mouth. My brain's going faster than my
- 25:42Speaker 2: body even will. It was so embarrassing. I was mortified.
- 25:50Speaker 2: In that moment, due to resentments, due to feeling underpaid,
- 25:59Speaker 2: due to the pressure of Growing up, puberty. I mean,
- 26:03Speaker 2: I was in that funky phase where I hadn't yet
- 26:06Speaker 2: filled out and become strong and buff and still acne.
- 26:10Speaker 2: And plus, I'm on this extreme mind and mood-altering drug.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I'm riddled with fear and insecurity at the same time
- 26:19Speaker 2: of being paranoid and delusional. I mean, can you imagine?
- 26:23Speaker 2: You probably can.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I can.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I can.
- 26:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:26Speaker 2: And it was... soul crushing. So rather than own up
- 26:30Speaker 2: to it and ask for help, I, I literally, when,
- 26:33Speaker 2: when I was taken aside and asked like, dude, what's
- 26:36Speaker 2: going on? This is like the 10th take. And, uh, So,
- 26:39Speaker 2: you know, I reacted out of I went on the offense,
- 26:42Speaker 2: you know, I run on the defense rather. I went
- 26:44Speaker 2: on the defense and I told everybody to fuck off
- 26:47Speaker 2: and I don't need you. And I'm sick of this
- 26:49Speaker 2: and I'm fed up with this. And and I walked
- 26:52Speaker 2: off the set and I was happy about it. I
- 26:54Speaker 2: was happy to cost them money. I felt like, you know,
- 26:58Speaker 2: it was it was owed to them. And I had
- 27:01Speaker 2: a really downward spiral from there on. went pretty intense.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Did you have any regrets from doing that? Like the
- 27:08Speaker 1: next day, did you wake up and say, Oh shit,
- 27:10Speaker 1: where am I going to get money from? Where am
- 27:11Speaker 1: I at? What am I going to do next? Or
- 27:13Speaker 1: that was not on your mind.
- 27:15Speaker 2: So at that time, um, the movie, uh, I had
- 27:19Speaker 2: a million dollar offer for, uh, the, the street, the
- 27:25Speaker 2: guy who wrote walk to remember, uh, Uh, with Mandy Moore,
- 27:30Speaker 2: it was a book. Um, I had a million dollar
- 27:34Speaker 2: offer on the table and he wrote that script with
- 27:37Speaker 2: me as the main character in mind. And they were like,
- 27:40Speaker 2: this is yours. You don't have to audition for it.
- 27:42Speaker 2: We already, we wrote the whole deal with you as
- 27:45Speaker 2: the lead. So I had a music career at that time.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I had two top ten hits in Europe. So I
- 27:52Speaker 2: was thinking in my mind, I was like, screw you, mofos.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I'm going to go make this million dollars and be
- 27:57Speaker 2: a pop star. I never wanted to be the handsome
- 28:00Speaker 2: beach boy. I want to sing and dance. I want
- 28:02Speaker 2: to entertain. I want to grow my craft and take
- 28:06Speaker 2: these meaty roles. However, I was unable to suit up
- 28:09Speaker 2: and show up for those either. And I walked away
- 28:12Speaker 2: from those. Wow.
- 28:13Speaker 1: So your drug addiction was really getting the best of
- 28:16Speaker 1: you and you started to choose that over your career,
- 28:19Speaker 1: it sounds like.
- 28:21Speaker 2: There wasn't any choice, we'll put it that way. There
- 28:24Speaker 2: wasn't any choice. There was the illusion that I would
- 28:26Speaker 2: be able to stop and there would be a choice.
- 28:28Speaker 2: At some point, I was going to put the plug
- 28:30Speaker 2: in the jug, as they say, and put my big
- 28:32Speaker 2: boy pants on. But I just couldn't do it. I
- 28:35Speaker 2: couldn't bring myself to.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I'm curious. You said you were raised by a single mother.
- 28:40Speaker 1: What was her thoughts on what was happening to you then?
- 28:44Speaker 2: Oh, man. I mean, she hired, you know, bounty hunters.
- 28:48Speaker 2: She paid off friends to try to at least keep
- 28:51Speaker 2: an eye on me. She would try to locate me
- 28:56Speaker 2: every about once a year. I would go to rehab
- 28:59Speaker 2: and I would attempt to, you know, put myself back
- 29:02Speaker 2: together and get back on the horse, so to speak.
- 29:05Speaker 2: But I would I would always fall, you know, as
- 29:08Speaker 2: as I believe any real addict. will without a sufficient substitute.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Right, right. So I'm wondering if you think that this
- 29:18Speaker 1: was partly because you grew up on screen. You know,
- 29:22Speaker 1: you were part of Hollywood. You were a child actor.
- 29:24Speaker 1: And do you think that had anything to do with it?
- 29:28Speaker 2: You know, life's a mixed bag of nuts, really. You know,
- 29:33Speaker 2: I would say it'd be easier to wonder if I
- 29:36Speaker 2: didn't get on TV, would I be in prison for... murder? Uh,
- 29:41Speaker 2: would I have joined the gang? Would I, uh, have
- 29:44Speaker 2: done a school shooting? I mean, I was in the
- 29:47Speaker 2: grips of so much pain, uh, selfishness, self-centeredness, ego and pride.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I don't, I don't know if it made it better
- 29:55Speaker 2: or if it made it worse. You know, one thing's
- 29:57Speaker 2: for sure. I made enough money to really go deep
- 30:03Speaker 2: and to be able to keep myself out of some
- 30:05Speaker 2: really big prison sentences. Had I not had that money,
- 30:08Speaker 2: would I, would I be a product of the system?
- 30:10Speaker 2: You know, would I be totally institutionalized by now? Maybe.
- 30:14Speaker 2: So I'm not sure. Yeah. Cause I was on that
- 30:18Speaker 2: path far before. television. I actually believe that my deep
- 30:24Speaker 2: desire for approval and applause and feeling a part of
- 30:27Speaker 2: life by doing a good job was one of the
- 30:30Speaker 2: manifestations of that addiction before I knew that chemicals could
- 30:33Speaker 2: scratch that itch.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Wow.
- 30:35Speaker 1: That's really profound, actually.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I mean, you talk about being in prison. You talk
- 30:41Speaker 1: about having these addictions. Was there something that was like
- 30:43Speaker 1: a rock bottom for you where you really realized, okay,
- 30:46Speaker 1: this is the end. I need to stop.
- 30:49Speaker 2: So many rock bottoms, um, so many huge breakthroughs. Oh
- 30:56Speaker 2: my gosh, this has got to end and, and, and totally,
- 31:00Speaker 2: you know, uh, left by the wayside. Um, you know, the,
- 31:06Speaker 2: the pain and misery, um, defeat really in my experience
- 31:13Speaker 2: is not enough to hold the line. Unfortunately, I've gone
- 31:17Speaker 2: deeper after thinking I could never go deeper. And I
- 31:20Speaker 2: do believe that there's deeper, of course, to go. And sadly,
- 31:29Speaker 2: the hopeless moments have usually been the biggest standout hopeless
- 31:33Speaker 2: moments are when there's handcuffs. on me and I'm looking at,
- 31:38Speaker 2: you know, at one time when I was 20 years old,
- 31:40Speaker 2: I was looking at 35 years in prison for manufacturing
- 31:43Speaker 2: methamphetamine because from 17 to 20, when I went on
- 31:48Speaker 2: my meth binge, you know, I had been, uh, you know, kidnapped,
- 31:54Speaker 2: held at gunpoint, robbed, uh, conned, uh, manipulated and used, uh,
- 32:03Speaker 2: just in two years that all my money was gone
- 32:05Speaker 2: and I had to start making this stuff for myself.
- 32:08Speaker 2: You know what I mean? It didn't take very long
- 32:10Speaker 2: to blow through what was left. Um, anyway, looking at
- 32:15Speaker 2: 35 years in prison at 17, my life's over. I'm
- 32:18Speaker 2: 35 pounds underweight. My face is stabbed and picked. Um,
- 32:24Speaker 2: I look like Skeletor. That was my nickname. And, uh,
- 32:28Speaker 2: And those cuffs go on and the cops say, what's
- 32:31Speaker 2: wrong with you, man? These are the Newport Beach police officers.
- 32:34Speaker 2: I grew up in Newport Beach. These guys know me. And,
- 32:38Speaker 2: you know, what is wrong with you? What are you
- 32:40Speaker 2: doing to yourself, kid? And that was really one of
- 32:43Speaker 2: the first times I realized, dude, I thought about it
- 32:46Speaker 2: for a second. What is wrong with me? I should
- 32:49Speaker 2: be driving a Lamborghini right now walking off the set
- 32:52Speaker 2: of Universal Studios. What is wrong with me? Why would
- 32:55Speaker 2: I be here in your Belinda hiding in a house
- 33:00Speaker 2: where there's this girl with her kid and her mom
- 33:05Speaker 2: and doing drugs? This is weird now that you mention it.
- 33:10Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 33:13Speaker 3: for it?
- 33:13Speaker 4: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 33:16Speaker 4: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 33:19Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch.
- 33:20Speaker 5: What's it called? It's Dune ADL.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Where?
- 33:25Speaker 5: Dune ADL. There's an accent on the E.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Do you mean.
- 33:30Speaker 5: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 33:31Speaker 4: Lift?
- 33:32Speaker 2: Please.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Are you going past Kimmage?
- 33:34Speaker 6: Oh, Kimmage.
- 33:35Speaker 2: No.
- 33:37Speaker 5: Dundale Cars.
- 33:37Speaker 6: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Like, oh my gosh. For like... to get high for
- 33:43Speaker 2: like a hit for like the one more day. Like
- 33:46Speaker 2: in my mind, it was always just one more day. Like,
- 33:48Speaker 2: I'm just going to do this just one, just today.
- 33:50Speaker 2: It'll be done today or, or it'll be different tomorrow.
- 33:54Speaker 2: So that was a huge wake-up call for me. And
- 33:57Speaker 2: at that point, that wake-up call was really induced or
- 34:01Speaker 2: even allowed to hit because I thought I was going
- 34:04Speaker 2: to prison for 35 years. And what was the point
- 34:07Speaker 2: of having hope? What was the point of trying to
- 34:10Speaker 2: change now? Because by the time I get out of
- 34:11Speaker 2: prison— you know, I'm going to be toothless with the
- 34:14Speaker 2: shit beat out of me and I'll have swastikas on
- 34:16Speaker 2: my chest. This is going to be a holy nightmare.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Like if I want to survive in there, you know,
- 34:20Speaker 2: this is okay. Well, I guess it's over. I guess
- 34:23Speaker 2: that is really over now. Maybe I should take a
- 34:25Speaker 2: look at it now that it's too late. Yeah. So,
- 34:30Speaker 2: you know, I never want to be at that. It's
- 34:32Speaker 2: too late place again. I don't want to do that.
- 34:36Speaker 1: This show is sponsored by better help. Life can be
- 34:39Speaker 1: hard sometimes. That's one thing we all have in common.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Maybe you're thinking of changing careers or you're struggling in
- 34:44Speaker 1: a relationship. You're at a crossroads and could use some guidance.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Whatever you're going through, therapy can help you break through
- 34:50Speaker 1: and find the best path for your future. I've used
- 34:53Speaker 1: therapy in the past for certain things that I've been
- 34:56Speaker 1: going through. They don't have to be major things, but
- 34:58Speaker 1: sometimes it's great to just talk it out with somebody
- 35:01Speaker 1: who you don't have in your immediate life. It makes
- 35:04Speaker 1: things look a lot clearer. And finding out about BetterHelp

- 35:53Speaker 1: h-e-l-p dot com slash understood um okay that's like so
- 35:59Speaker 1: amazing you just had me speechless for a second so
- 36:02Speaker 1: you did rehab a number of times correct oh yeah
- 36:05Speaker 1: yeah um so you also did celebrity rehab did you
- 36:10Speaker 1: consider that um would you consider that a real rehab for.
- 36:13Speaker 2: You actually i mean squeaky wheel kind of gets the grease,
- 36:19Speaker 2: you know, and in my opinion, Dr. Drew took a
- 36:21Speaker 2: lot of time aside with me and I absorbed a
- 36:26Speaker 2: lot from those groups. I mean, he's a legitimate addictionologist.
- 36:30Speaker 2: I mean, he really knows how us kind of a type, um,
- 36:36Speaker 2: you know, overachiever types, especially the prettier ones or the faint.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I mean, he has a really good understanding of how
- 36:44Speaker 2: we operate, um, both on a biological level, um, and
- 36:48Speaker 2: how the gene interacts with that. I learned a lot
- 36:50Speaker 2: from him, things that I still teach other people to
- 36:53Speaker 2: this day that have impacted my life. A hundred percent. Um,
- 36:57Speaker 2: I had been offered celebrity rehab multiple times, I had
- 37:00Speaker 2: a manager at the time who's a complete douchebag who
- 37:04Speaker 2: kept telling me, hey, it's a hundred grand. Just drink
- 37:06Speaker 2: a beer. You know, I'm like, dude, I've been sober
- 37:08Speaker 2: for seven years. I'm not going to drink a beer
- 37:11Speaker 2: just to go make a hundred grand, you know? And
- 37:14Speaker 2: then the next year, hey, it's a hundred. It's more,
- 37:17Speaker 2: you know, just whatever. And then I think like season five,
- 37:21Speaker 2: when I did it, I had been sober for at
- 37:22Speaker 2: least 10 years. And I was like, well, I'm not...
- 37:30Speaker 2: I haven't drank or done drugs, but I inject a
- 37:34Speaker 2: lot of weird shit. I mean, from B vitamins and glutathione.
- 37:38Speaker 2: I mean, this is a million years ago or not
- 37:40Speaker 2: a million, but this is a long time ago when,
- 37:43Speaker 2: you know, now lipotropic fat burning injections are super normal.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Now growth hormone, you can get on a fricking app,
- 37:49Speaker 2: you know what I mean? But at the time injecting
- 37:52Speaker 2: yourself a bunch of times a day with growth hormone and,
- 37:54Speaker 2: you know, procaine solution, anti-aging, all this stuff, TRT, you know,
- 38:01Speaker 2: back then it seemed like I was some kind of
- 38:03Speaker 2: gorilla weirdo. Um, now it's pretty socially acceptable. It's kind
- 38:07Speaker 2: of more normal, but I told him, Hey, I'll, I'll
- 38:09Speaker 2: make a big deal out of it. I'm pinning myself
- 38:11Speaker 2: with all this stuff. It looks crazy. Um, and he's like,
- 38:15Speaker 2: I don't think they're going to go for it. And
- 38:16Speaker 2: they dropped the number down. But, um, so I went
- 38:19Speaker 2: in for steroid, uh, addicted to steroids, which, um, you know, that,
- 38:25Speaker 2: that is a very slippery slope. You know, there, there, uh,
- 38:29Speaker 2: there is, uh, a cost reward ratio there, there, there are,
- 38:35Speaker 2: more so the obsession with self and or the idea
- 38:38Speaker 2: that if I get buff enough and ripped enough, then
- 38:41Speaker 2: I will be happy. There is the, I can't go
- 38:43Speaker 2: out to dinners and or be as social because I
- 38:46Speaker 2: got to do two workouts a day and I'm on this,
- 38:49Speaker 2: you know, zero calorie diet or whatever. Um, there are
- 38:54Speaker 2: aspects of that that can really cut you off from life. Um,
- 38:58Speaker 2: and I, I did, I did definitely have a good experience. Um,
- 39:03Speaker 2: with the staff there, Bob Forrest, Shelly Sprague, Shelly, I
- 39:06Speaker 2: still talk to Shelly. She's a beautiful human. She told me,
- 39:10Speaker 2: you know, that, you know, I was, I suffered from
- 39:14Speaker 2: sobriety with a small S that, that I didn't have
- 39:18Speaker 2: a capital S on my sobriety. There was like a
- 39:20Speaker 2: little gray area, nootropic that kind of made me feel,
- 39:25Speaker 2: there was always something i was putting in the mix
- 39:28Speaker 2: that was potentially blocking me off from really being part
- 39:32Speaker 2: of or knowing that my side of the street was
- 39:34Speaker 2: clean um and that stayed with me for a long
- 39:37Speaker 2: time So I got gems for sure on that show.
- 39:42Speaker 2: I got gems and beautiful gifts from the staff there.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Yeah. So we'll talk about your opinion on reality TV,
- 39:49Speaker 1: so to speak, in a little bit, because I want
- 39:51Speaker 1: to ask your opinion now that it's like all in
- 39:52Speaker 1: the news right now. But I, as we talked about briefly,
- 39:56Speaker 1: was on Celebrity Rehab the season before you. And I
- 39:59Speaker 1: was asking if you had seen that season or you
- 40:02Speaker 1: knew that I was on the season, but I didn't
- 40:03Speaker 1: get an answer for you.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Tell me.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Yeah. So. It's the weirdest thing because I
- 40:08Speaker 2: hear your name from multiple people. Oh, do you know Rachel? Oh,
- 40:12Speaker 2: you must know Rachel. Rachel, you can tell. Rachel, you
- 40:15Speaker 2: can tell. And then people tell me about you. And
- 40:18Speaker 2: it's just so cool that we're finally on the show
- 40:21Speaker 2: and meeting and talking because, yes, I've heard that you
- 40:26Speaker 2: were on that season. No, I don't believe I've seen
- 40:29Speaker 2: that season yet. and or a couple episodes. But it's like,
- 40:35Speaker 2: you're just one of those people that like knows a
- 40:37Speaker 2: lot of people. And we have like, I think a
- 40:40Speaker 2: few friends in common. So it's really, it's neat.
- 40:43Speaker 1: But similar to you, I had a great experience. So I,
- 40:46Speaker 1: you know, first of all, my father had died of
- 40:48Speaker 1: a cocaine overdose.
- 40:49Speaker 2: So I felt- My dad died of a heroin overdose.
- 40:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I'm sorry. So, um, I grew up being nervous about
- 40:57Speaker 1: how my personality, I might have an addictive personality. I
- 41:00Speaker 1: was sort of scared just like with the fear of
- 41:02Speaker 1: throwing up and the fear of drugs. It was very similar.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I was just scared of it. You know what I mean? So, um,
- 41:09Speaker 1: so I went into the show when they asked me
- 41:10Speaker 1: to do it. I had just become famous because I
- 41:13Speaker 1: was in a little scandal at the time. Um, and, um,
- 41:17Speaker 1: they were like, you should come on Celebrity Rehab. I
- 41:19Speaker 1: had just been asked to do Celebrity Apprentice by Donald Trump.
- 41:23Speaker 1: And I really wanted to do that because I felt
- 41:25Speaker 1: like my name was all over the news at this point.
- 41:29Speaker 2: It was 2009.
- 41:29Speaker 1: And, um, I wanted people to know who I was.
- 41:34Speaker 1: And I didn't think the way I was being represented
- 41:35Speaker 1: in the press was appropriate or true. And I had
- 41:38Speaker 1: really become a recluse from all that. It really affected me.
- 41:42Speaker 1: And I eventually decided to do celebrity rehab, even though
- 41:47Speaker 1: I didn't feel like I had an addiction, so to speak.
- 41:49Speaker 1: because I had a connection with Dr.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Drew.
- 41:52Speaker 1: He sat down with me for 30 minutes and I
- 41:54Speaker 1: was like, this guy gets me. I need what he
- 41:58Speaker 1: can offer and no one else gets me like this.
- 42:00Speaker 1: And I, I, I still have that relationship with him. Like,
- 42:03Speaker 1: I feel like he just.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Please tell him I said, hi, I will. There's, I
- 42:07Speaker 2: have a big question for him. He told, he, he
- 42:10Speaker 2: explained to me the addiction gene, the warrior gene and
- 42:13Speaker 2: science and the mice and, and, the, how it's genetically
- 42:16Speaker 2: passed down and blah, blah, blah, blah. And he told
- 42:19Speaker 2: me the name of the book and I can't remember
- 42:21Speaker 2: what it is. And I've been emailing his pub, his,
- 42:24Speaker 2: his manager or whatever, but I don't have the right
- 42:26Speaker 2: contact and I want to know what the name of
- 42:27Speaker 2: that book is. So please send him my love.
- 42:29Speaker 1: I will. I will ask him. I will get that
- 42:31Speaker 1: answer for you. And I even have a cell phone number. No,
- 42:34Speaker 1: I will give you his cell phone number after the show.
- 42:36Speaker 1: I'm sure he'd love to hear from you.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:39Speaker 1: But my experience was so good. I was on there
- 42:41Speaker 1: for love addiction, which I thought was a complete joke
- 42:44Speaker 1: when I went in. I was like, this is so dumb.
- 42:46Speaker 1: People are dying. Leif Garrett was on my show. He
- 42:49Speaker 1: was completely coming out of a, you know, a heroin
- 42:54Speaker 1: stint or whatever you call it. And was going through
- 42:57Speaker 1: a lot of withdrawal for the first five days or so.
- 42:59Speaker 1: Couldn't come out of his room. And I'm like, how
- 43:01Speaker 1: do I tell people I'm here for love addiction? This
- 43:03Speaker 1: is just embarrassing. But as time went on... I realized
- 43:07Speaker 1: it's a real thing and how it's affected me. And
- 43:10Speaker 1: then over the course of years, I really saw that
- 43:13Speaker 1: a lot of people that suffer from addiction, one of
- 43:15Speaker 1: the addictions that it all starts with is your relationships, right?
- 43:19Speaker 1: And love addiction is a huge part of that. Some
- 43:22Speaker 1: people act out with sex addiction, which is different than
- 43:24Speaker 1: love addiction, but I really saw... how that had love
- 43:27Speaker 1: addiction had affected my life. And the point of this
- 43:31Speaker 1: whole story was that, um, you know, people talk about
- 43:34Speaker 1: reality TV being so produced and so fake. That was
- 43:37Speaker 1: not my experience. I had an amazing experience. I learned
- 43:40Speaker 1: a lot. I loved the group of eight that I
- 43:42Speaker 1: was with or seven and me. Um, unfortunately two of
- 43:46Speaker 1: those people are, are dead now.
- 43:49Speaker 2: From Michael Starr. Was he one of them?
- 43:51Speaker 1: No, he was, I think before me, it was Jason Davis.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 43:55Speaker 1: And Frankie Long.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Jason Davis.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Jason Davis. Yep, I knew him. Yep.
- 44:00Speaker 1: So who was on your show?
- 44:03Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 44:06Speaker 3: for it?
- 44:07Speaker 4: This exclusive place that Dada's connections with. They have more
- 44:10Speaker 4: cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 44:12Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 44:14Speaker 5: It's Dunaidial.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Where?
- 44:18Speaker 5: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Do you mean.
- 44:23Speaker 5: Yes, I got it on Done Deal Cars.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Lyft?
- 44:25Speaker 3: Please. You're going past Kimmage? Oh, Kimmage.
- 44:28Speaker 2: No.
- 44:30Speaker 6: Done Deal Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 44:34Speaker 2: We had Dwight Goodman.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Oh, I love him.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Picture... Yeah, yeah, yeah. We had... What, the Long Island Lolita?
- 44:46Speaker 1: Oh, Amy Fisher.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Amy Fisher.
- 44:49Speaker 1: How is that?
- 44:50Speaker 2: We had... It was very strange. Her husband threatened to
- 44:55Speaker 2: kill me, to bury me live on camera. I made
- 45:01Speaker 2: a joke. We were all at a dinner table. It
- 45:02Speaker 2: was actually my sister. No, it was me. And I
- 45:06Speaker 2: brought her up because I don't know. Have you seen
- 45:08Speaker 2: the Addams Family?
- 45:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:10Speaker 2: The original Addams Family Wednesday pulls out a pack of
- 45:14Speaker 2: serial killer clothes. playing cards. And she's like, I'll trade
- 45:18Speaker 2: you an Amy Fisher for a, you know, whatever. And
- 45:22Speaker 2: I just, I thought that was cool, you know? And
- 45:25Speaker 2: I brought it up at the dinner table and they
- 45:26Speaker 2: were so freaking mad. And it was like such a
- 45:30Speaker 2: sore subject. Like I'll trade you a Jeffrey Dahmer for
- 45:33Speaker 2: your Amy Fisher.
- 45:35Speaker 1: And I'm like, that's freaking cool.
- 45:37Speaker 2: But it's years like you haven't moved past that, you know,
- 45:40Speaker 2: like obviously they hadn't. And her husband wanted to kill
- 45:43Speaker 2: me and be threatened to bury me. And there was
- 45:45Speaker 2: almost a big fight. Meanwhile, I'm 200 pounds and I'm
- 45:51Speaker 2: a 14 time Brazilian jujitsu champion. I would have crushed him.
- 45:56Speaker 1: So I take it you don't still speak to her.
- 45:59Speaker 2: No, definitely not. It was Michael Lohan. Yeah. Who, as
- 46:03Speaker 2: you know, is quite the whirlwind himself.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:08Speaker 2: And Stephen Adler from Guns N' Roses. Yeah.
- 46:12Speaker 1: He was my next door neighbor in Vegas for many years.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Oh, really? Yeah.
- 46:18Speaker 2: He's a great guy. He's a precious little thing for sure.
- 46:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:23Speaker 2: And that actress from Blue Lagoon. She has a guy's name.
- 46:31Speaker 1: You mean Brooke Shields?
- 46:32Speaker 2: No. No, maybe not Blue Lagoon. It's another movie with
- 46:35Speaker 2: the same guy. I forget her name.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Okay, well, whatever.
- 46:40Speaker 2: But I think she passed away recently.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Oh, from drug addiction?
- 46:43Speaker 2: I think she... She was definitely an alcoholic for many years.
- 46:47Speaker 2: I don't know if she died sober or complications due
- 46:51Speaker 2: to alcohol. Oh, wow. Ryan something? No, I don't know her.
- 46:55Speaker 2: I forget her name. Well, that's okay.
- 46:57Speaker 1: And then you also did some other reality type shows.
- 47:00Speaker 1: You did Celebrity Big Brother, correct?
- 47:03Speaker 2: Oh, my God. That was the worst thing ever.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Why?
- 47:10Speaker 2: I did.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Well, I know you got into a little trouble there
- 47:13Speaker 1: at the end, but before that, did you not appreciate
- 47:16Speaker 1: being on the show? Was it just a nightmare?
- 47:18Speaker 2: I was so excited to be on that show. I
- 47:21Speaker 2: was so looking forward to it. I had made my
- 47:25Speaker 2: own custom clothing line. I had, uh, a lot of
- 47:30Speaker 2: big plans and, um, the staff was really cool. The
- 47:35Speaker 2: hotel was beautiful. The payday was fantastic. I really needed
- 47:40Speaker 2: that escape, uh, in my life at that time. It
- 47:45Speaker 2: was like my big hail Mary. It really put me
- 47:48Speaker 2: back on track. I had a lot invested into that
- 47:52Speaker 2: production and, um, You know, the God's honest truth, dude,
- 47:57Speaker 2: I got completely hoodwinked, man. Completely hoodwinked and screwed. Viacom just,
- 48:05Speaker 2: they just, oh, man, gnarly. I was all alone out
- 48:09Speaker 2: there in the sea. No manager, no agent, no freaking lawyers. And, man,
- 48:18Speaker 2: I got the book thrown at me. It was gnarly.
- 48:21Speaker 2: It was such a bummer.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Um, and did you feel like the, you know, what
- 48:27Speaker 1: you did was as bad as they made it seem?
- 48:31Speaker 2: I know for a fact it wasn't. Really? Um, yeah.
- 48:35Speaker 2: So the girl, uh, I forget her name. Uh, the girl,
- 48:43Speaker 2: and I who got into the, the issue in question,
- 48:47Speaker 2: we had the same manager and her and I had
- 48:50Speaker 2: dinner together and she came to play pool with me
- 48:52Speaker 2: at my hotel before the show started. And her and
- 48:56Speaker 2: I were not supposed to know who's on the show.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Nobody's supposed to know who's on the show. It's supposed
- 49:01Speaker 2: to be all super secret, but the manager from out
- 49:04Speaker 2: there who managed her also said, yeah, We're going to,
- 49:08Speaker 2: we're going to, let's, I want you guys to do
- 49:10Speaker 2: some stuff. Let's team up, you know, let's create some love,
- 49:15Speaker 2: you know, yeah. And, and, and some romance. Let's, you know,
- 49:19Speaker 2: let's steam it up. Um, you know, first and foremost,
- 49:24Speaker 2: had I not have been drunk, had I not have
- 49:26Speaker 2: been stoned, had I not have been on Valium, you know,
- 49:30Speaker 2: this would not have happened. So I take accountability for that.
- 49:35Speaker 2: I made the mistake of being out of sorts, drunk and,
- 49:39Speaker 2: you know, Every time in my life, historically, empirically proven,
- 49:46Speaker 2: every time I'm buzzed or drunk and stoned, bad things
- 49:51Speaker 2: happen to me, period. And the insanity of this thing
- 49:56Speaker 2: is I tell myself this time it'll be different. I'll
- 49:58Speaker 2: manage it. I'll control it. Anyway, we're on there. And
- 50:05Speaker 2: I think it was the first day. Oh, gosh. The
- 50:08Speaker 2: first or the second or the third day, right? And, um,
- 50:13Speaker 2: you know, she had a bathing suit line that she
- 50:17Speaker 2: wanted to promote. She was launching a bathing suit line
- 50:20Speaker 2: and she was launching it on this show. It was
- 50:24Speaker 2: her big come out for her new bathing suit line. Now,
- 50:26Speaker 2: mind you, all of her bathing suits were prototypes. It
- 50:30Speaker 2: wasn't in production yet. Yeah. The prototypes. And, um, she had, uh,
- 50:37Speaker 2: We were in the jacuzzi together and she had a
- 50:40Speaker 2: bathing suit malfunction where her bottoms completely popped off.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 50:45Speaker 2: Oh, Jeremy, Jeremy, will you, will you tie me, please?
- 50:49Speaker 2: My bottoms have seemed to have fallen off. So I'm like,
- 50:53Speaker 2: you know, cameras are all around. I'm like, oh, all right.
- 50:56Speaker 2: I see where you're going with this. You want to
- 50:58Speaker 2: talk about your bathing suits, right? And sure, I'll do that.
- 51:03Speaker 2: and uh you know so then we're hanging out and
- 51:05Speaker 2: you know so she comes out in a new bathing
- 51:07Speaker 2: suit oh that one malfunctioned she's got to change it
- 51:10Speaker 2: it's a new bathing suit and um in the first
- 51:14Speaker 2: 48 hours she had four bathing suits on you know
- 51:17Speaker 2: because she wants to showcase her bathing suit so i'm
- 51:19Speaker 2: just reading the room here right mind you i got
- 51:22Speaker 2: my own plans i want to do stuff too and
- 51:25Speaker 2: uh anyway i when the drinks come out at the
- 51:28Speaker 2: end of the day, it's a tray with a red wine,
- 51:31Speaker 2: a vodka tonic, a rum and Coke. And like, I
- 51:36Speaker 2: don't know, Jack can diet. Let's just say that. I
- 51:40Speaker 2: don't really know what it was, but me being Mr.
- 51:43Speaker 2: You know, consider it. Oh, you guys go ahead. Now,
- 51:47Speaker 2: mind you, I'm craving a drink bad. Right. But I
- 51:51Speaker 2: let everybody go first and I get the last drink. Okay.
- 51:55Speaker 2: I don't remember what it was. It might have been
- 51:57Speaker 2: the rum and Coke. And, you know, they don't want
- 52:00Speaker 2: you to get drunk on the show, supposedly, is what
- 52:02Speaker 2: they say. You know, and 30 minutes later, another tray
- 52:08Speaker 2: comes out. You know, oh, no, I'll just, you know,
- 52:11Speaker 2: don't get what you like. Everybody's got preferences. I really
- 52:14Speaker 2: have no preference as long as I'll just take whatever.
- 52:17Speaker 2: I get like a red wine. You know, 30 minutes later,
- 52:20Speaker 2: another tray comes out. I get like the Jack, whatever.
- 52:25Speaker 2: I had three different types of alcohol with three different
- 52:28Speaker 2: types of mixers. And I'm on a Valium and I
- 52:32Speaker 2: ate weed butter. So all of a sudden I'm sitting
- 52:36Speaker 2: there and I'm like, oh, I don't feel good. You
- 52:43Speaker 2: know that feeling, right? Well, you don't.
- 52:45Speaker 1: I was just going to say, but I know what
- 52:46Speaker 1: you're talking about. I have plenty of friends who have
- 52:48Speaker 1: been there.
- 52:48Speaker 2: I do not. I do not like to puke either.
- 52:51Speaker 2: But there's that spot where you're fine. You can speak fine.
- 52:56Speaker 2: You know everything that's going on, but you're getting nauseous.
- 52:59Speaker 2: And I think it had to do with, of course,
- 53:02Speaker 2: being an empty stomach and being on Valium. Valium really
- 53:06Speaker 2: enhances the effect of the alcohol. So I don't say
- 53:10Speaker 2: anything to anybody and I go get a liter of water.
- 53:12Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm going to go puke a few times,
- 53:14Speaker 2: drink the water, maybe puke again, rehydrate, no harm, no foul.
- 53:19Speaker 2: You know, nobody will be the wiser. I just need
- 53:22Speaker 2: to get this three different types of sugar and three
- 53:25Speaker 2: different types of booze out of my stomach. That was
- 53:27Speaker 2: a terrible idea.
- 53:28Speaker 3: Right.
- 53:30Speaker 2: So there's no locks on the bathroom. There's no cameras
- 53:33Speaker 2: in the bathroom. And in our contracts, it's really, really
- 53:36Speaker 2: clearly stated that no two members are allowed to be
- 53:40Speaker 2: in the bathroom at the same time because there's no cameras.
- 53:45Speaker 2: One person is allowed in the bathroom, period. Okay. Clear-cut rule.
- 53:50Speaker 2: So I go in the bathroom and I close the
- 53:52Speaker 2: door and I put the back of my foot against
- 53:55Speaker 2: the door because there's no lock on it. I get
- 53:57Speaker 2: on all fours and I puke. Thank God. Thank God.
- 54:02Speaker 2: I was spinning, but it's going to be over now
- 54:04Speaker 2: because I'm puking. Drink a bunch of water, puke again. Okay,
- 54:11Speaker 2: probably got puke hanging in my beard. I'm sitting there
- 54:13Speaker 2: like that little cold sweat. I'm glad that's over. I
- 54:16Speaker 2: hate puking, but at least I won't be spinning now.
- 54:20Speaker 2: And they start pounding on the door. Jeremy, are you okay?
- 54:23Speaker 2: Are you okay? Let us in. Let us in. I'm fine.
- 54:26Speaker 2: I'm fine. This is not my first rodeo, guys. I'm fine.
- 54:32Speaker 2: Leave me alone. Leave me alone. I'm fine. Please, no.
- 54:38Speaker 2: And they literally force their way into the bathroom. Four people.
- 54:43Speaker 2: I'm sitting there sweating, uncomfortable. I don't want to be
- 54:47Speaker 2: seen like this. I don't want to be tended to.
- 54:49Speaker 2: I just want to compose myself. Everybody leaves. She stays.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Closes the door. Gets down on the floor with me,
- 54:58Speaker 2: patting my head. Okay. No, no, no. I'm fine. Really,
- 55:02Speaker 2: I'm fine. She has a robe on. And, uh, I
- 55:08Speaker 2: I'm sitting there. I probably wanted to change the subject
- 55:11Speaker 2: or something. I don't know. You know, and I, I
- 55:14Speaker 2: grabbed her, her robes like this and I grabbed her
- 55:18Speaker 2: robe and I go, what bathing suit are you wearing
- 55:20Speaker 2: this time? Right. It was a joke. Like I thought
- 55:24Speaker 2: for sure she had a bathing suit on. Right. Because
- 55:28Speaker 2: she had been in bathing suits all the time. Why
- 55:30Speaker 2: would she be walking around naked in a robe and
- 55:32Speaker 2: busting in the bathroom, right? So which one is it
- 55:36Speaker 2: this time? Her and I's little inside joke that we
- 55:40Speaker 2: had been doing all the time, okay? Yeah. Covering up
- 55:47Speaker 2: another bathing suit with a rope so you can do
- 55:48Speaker 2: another big reveal. Right.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Lo and behold, she had no bathing suit on this time.
- 55:53Speaker 2: Lo and behold, no bathing suit. I see the top
- 55:56Speaker 2: of her bosom, not even the nipple. Mind you, she
- 56:02Speaker 2: is a topless model. That is her job. That is
- 56:06Speaker 2: her job to show her breasts in the, in the magazine. Yeah. Um,
- 56:15Speaker 2: She walks out and I don't know how or why
- 56:18Speaker 2: is acting sniffly. And Perez Hilton comes out and makes
- 56:24Speaker 2: this huge deal out of it. Right. So I come
- 56:28Speaker 2: out and I'm not defensive because I wasn't trying to
- 56:31Speaker 2: be sexual. I wasn't trying to be aggressive. I didn't
- 56:34Speaker 2: have an idea in my mind. Like, Hey, pukey face,
- 56:37Speaker 2: Jeremy wants to kiss you right now. And this is
- 56:39Speaker 2: a move. No, this is like, we're buddies and we're
- 56:43Speaker 2: working together. We're partners in this. Right. And I'm making
- 56:47Speaker 2: a joke with my partner. What's this ploy about? What's
- 56:50Speaker 2: this bathing suit ploy about?
- 56:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 56:53Speaker 2: And, and, uh, So I tell the truth. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 56:56Speaker 2: I tugged on it. I pulled her rope to the
- 56:59Speaker 2: side to see what bathing suit she was in. Of course,
- 57:01Speaker 2: nobody gets that. It probably sounds like a lie. And
- 57:05Speaker 2: a viewer at home who only hears the conversation, no cameras,
- 57:12Speaker 2: nobody saw anything, calls and says, I witnessed a sexual
- 57:15Speaker 2: assault on television. A lie. Now, because the police are involved,
- 57:22Speaker 2: the police must come to the house. They must. They
- 57:24Speaker 2: have to investigate.
- 57:26Speaker 1: And they're filming all this? I mean, this is all
- 57:27Speaker 1: on TV.
- 57:28Speaker 2: And they're filming all this. Now, of course, I'm not
- 57:31Speaker 2: going to lie because I don't believe I have anything
- 57:34Speaker 2: to cover up. Yes, I was on the bathroom floor.
- 57:37Speaker 2: They burst their way in there. We have this running joke.
- 57:41Speaker 2: I wanted to see what bathing suit she was wearing.
- 57:43Speaker 2: And I moved the lapel of her robe to the
- 57:46Speaker 2: side while she was on all fours in my face,
- 57:49Speaker 2: patting me with a tissue. Right, right, right. Oh, lovey. Oh, lovey. Oh,
- 57:54Speaker 2: you're feeling okay. Which bathing suit is it this time? Oh,
- 57:57Speaker 2: it's not a bathing suit.
- 57:58Speaker 5: You know?
- 57:59Speaker 2: Okay.
- 58:02Speaker 1: So you get arrested. That's what you got arrested for?
- 58:04Speaker 2: Yeah. I got arrested for sexual assault, kicked off the
- 58:07Speaker 2: show and docked all my money.
- 58:10Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 58:10Speaker 1: I didn't know that part.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Wait. Okay.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Which brings me to a perfect question for you though.
- 58:15Speaker 1: Like imagine I'm actually shocked this happened back then because
- 58:20Speaker 1: that was quite a long time ago. You see this
- 58:21Speaker 1: reality reckoning now. I don't feel like you saw that
- 58:25Speaker 1: kind of thing back then. Don't you think that was
- 58:27Speaker 1: rare for someone to take such a stance back then?
- 58:31Speaker 2: I mean, maybe this was the start of it, but
- 58:34Speaker 2: every reality show I've ever watched is people freaking smacking
- 58:37Speaker 2: each other on the butt, getting wasted and making out
- 58:40Speaker 2: and being absolute trash.
- 58:42Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 58:43Speaker 1: So what are your.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Getting in fistfights. I mean, you see people getting in
- 58:47Speaker 2: actual fistfights and not going to jail.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Right, of course.
- 58:50Speaker 2: Right? Right.
- 58:51Speaker 1: So what are your thoughts.
- 58:52Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 58:55Speaker 1: So what are your thoughts on this, you know, this
- 58:58Speaker 1: movement that Bethany has made to get... reality TV stars
- 59:01Speaker 1: unionized and maybe some back pay for all the things
- 59:04Speaker 1: they've had to go through. Are you on team Bravo
- 59:06Speaker 1: or team Bethany?
- 59:08Speaker 2: I do not watch. television. I have no idea what's
- 59:12Speaker 2: going on. I don't even know who Bethany is.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Oh, Bethany Frankel.
- 59:17Speaker 2: No clue.
- 59:19Speaker 4: Wow.
- 59:19Speaker 1: That's a soundbite in and of itself. That's pretty interesting.
- 59:25Speaker 6: Okay.
- 59:25Speaker 2: I'm probably saving myself from a lot of bullshit.
- 59:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:28Speaker 1: No, of course. But you have no interest in being
- 59:30Speaker 1: an actor anymore, it seems, correct?
- 59:33Speaker 2: Absolutely not. Yeah. Okay.
- 59:35Speaker 3: And do you feel.
- 59:36Speaker 2: I had it. I had it all. I'm not going
- 59:38Speaker 2: to clamor to get what was already mine back. It's like,
- 59:42Speaker 2: take it. I made my bed and I'm going to
- 59:45Speaker 2: lie in it and I'm definitely making the best of it.
- 59:49Speaker 2: I mean, I'm in Kauai.
- 59:50Speaker 4: I know.
- 59:50Speaker 1: I was going to say, you really are though, because
- 59:52Speaker 1: I feel like the life experience that you've had so
- 59:54Speaker 1: far has been very full with many ups and downs.
- 59:57Speaker 1: But now what you're doing... you couldn't be doing it
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: without having gone through what you went through. And so
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: you're in a place right now where you're helping people
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: who are at their, sometimes their worst, their rock bottom.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: You've been there and they probably couldn't get further without
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: you at this moment sometimes. So I think that's pretty
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: powerful and probably more fulfilling sometimes than being applauded and
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: loved on a TV show where people don't even really
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: know who the real you is, I would assume.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Yeah, the hit. you hit the nail on the head.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: I couldn't say it any better. Good.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: So tell people what you're doing now, just so in
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: case they want to find you, reach out to look
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: for you, what, where can they find you?
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Please find me, please reach out. Uh, I'm on Instagram.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: I think I'm going to start a TikTok soon. Um,
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: people are telling me I need to, cause I'm a
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: ham and silly and whatever. Um, But it's at Jeremy
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Jackson Fitness. I have a new website launching Jeremy Jackson Fitness.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: And we will be doing, you know, retreats, meditations. You know,
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: I've been diving deep into quantum mentality, mindset, spiritual development,
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: breathwork meditation, really trying to, you know, of course, enhance
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: my awareness and my consciousness of how absolutely wonderful and
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: beautiful life is. and work to eliminate any of the
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: pieces of me that are keeping me from that oneness
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: and from an attitude of gratitude on a daily basis
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: because that's all they really are. They're perceptions and preconceived
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: ideas that I have that I made along the way.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: And if they're not working to excel my life and
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: the lives of others, then why do I have them around?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: And those things need to be looked at under a microscope.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: I got to really get the mirror out and just
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: continue to discover and discard anything that's keeping me off
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: from being absolutely happily, joyous and free. And that's every
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: single person's divine birthright, man. And the only thing cutting
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: us off from that is us and what we think
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: we know. So the quest, you know, whether you're finding
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: me on Jeremy Jackson fitness or at Jeremy Jackson on
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Instagram or, um, you know, on Facebook or whatever it is, um,
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: you know, I'm looking to build an army, man. I'm
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: looking to build an army and raise the collective consciousness
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: through love and acceptance and continual growth because, you know,
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: the work unfortunately never ends. It's always continuous and there
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: are going to be struggles, right? But there's always room
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: to grow. And that's it. Once you accept a couple
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: of those non-negotiables and really start linking up, joining together,
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: creating more interdependence. So many people out there have, have
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: strong suits that we need. Um, and so many people
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: out there have weaknesses that we've overcome and it's really
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: in that universal energy flow, that loop of giving and receiving,
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: sharing altruistically what you have and allowing other people to
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: gift you with wisdom through their own experience that you,
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: you can really start to rise on this type of
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: spirituality and of, of mindset and awareness. Um, Because we
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: only know what we know and we'll only get what
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: we get if we continue to believe in what we
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: believe in and make efforts exteriorly based off our interior knowledge.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: And as you raise the interior frequency and experience and experience.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: expansion of that. All of a sudden the outside starts
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: changing and you're like, holy shit, this is a new experience.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: This is different. This is better than it used to be.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: And then that just sends you on this mystery journey of, wow,
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: what else is waiting? What else is more that I've
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: been limiting? And then like, that's fricking God, dude. Like
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: what the heck? This is really fun. And it's just
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: purpose-driven and I love to live this life. Wow.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: So I just want to say you're very inspirational.
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: I see you.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I appreciate you.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: I think you're amazing.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: You spot it because you got it, girl.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: And maybe one day you will come with me. You
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: can breathe. Maybe I'll be doing ayahuasca.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: Where are you?
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: I'm in Palm Beach.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Where are you?
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: Palm Beach.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Oh, Palm Beach. Oh, cool. My mom was in Florida,
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: so maybe I'll come out and visit you there.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: I would love that. I would love that. I can't
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: wait to meet you in person. I feel like we
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: are friends now and It is my honor to be
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: your friend. Thank you. Hugging, hugging, hugging. And I wish
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you the best. Thank you so much for doing the show.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I'm sure everyone will be truly inspired by what you

- 1:05:21Speaker 3: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: for it?
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: It's Dunaidial.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Where?
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: Do you mean.
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: Lift?
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Please.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: Are you going past Kimmage? Oh, Kimmage.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: No.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: Dundale Cars.
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
