- 0:00SPEAKER_03: During that intervention, I was presented with photos allegedly from a private investigator that was corroborating a story that I was in known drug houses, that I was moving quote unquote heavyweight.
- 0:12SPEAKER_03: I was one of the biggest drug dealers in Brooklyn.
- 0:14SPEAKER_03: Uh I was involved in all types of nefarious activities, that I was on NYPD watch lists, that I would be arrested uh any day.
- 0:22SPEAKER_03: And the craziest part is.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Let me ask you something.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: What happens when a New York City teacher and a father of two boys says that the elite powerful rewrote his story and his new woman beside him has stood by his side the whole time?
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: This is a show where we rip the mask off the same system that is tearing our families apart.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: We defend parents' rights, protect children, and be the voice for the voiceless.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: I'm your host today, an investigative journalist.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Let's get into it.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Today I'm joined by Sean Coffin and his fiance, Britney O'Brien.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Sean is a New York teacher, coach, a father of Hugh, and author of resident team Joy.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: He said he got fed up with the powerful people in his life that rewrote his story.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: So he chose to speak up and wrote a book.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: He says he writes the way he coaches, direct, positive, and relentless.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: And he says kids remember who fought for them.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Sean was married to Jackie Moraine.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: His former mother-in-law is Joy Mangano.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: And a lot of you know Joy as the inventor behind the miracle mom.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: And there's a movie about her.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: She's on the home shopping network a lot too.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Resilient Joy is Sean's account of what family the marriage and years after the life he expected fell apart.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: And we'll also talk to Brittany, his fiance, and she has been by his side seeing the pain and the separation he's gone through without his boys.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Let's start chatting with them.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Sean and Brittany.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: We are so glad you're here today.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of Sean's.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: We got Mandy as a husband, Sean.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: We got Sean the Attorney, and now you.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the stand with me.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Show we're so glad you guys came and you look super cute together.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: You match in shirts and they said they didn't mean to.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: So I just noticed it.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Um all right.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: So no one knows anything about you.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: I want you to kind of just give me an info of what you created, um, what happened, and kind of explain the process of what's going on.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Sure.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: So um in uh August of 2022, um, my marriage was uh I had two uh two young boys with my ex-wife, and um there started to be like uh mounting accusations that were getting more serious and more serious.
- 2:43SPEAKER_03: Um and accusations from from my from my ex-wife and my ex-wife's um extended family.
- 2:49SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: So my ex-mother-in-law and uh ultimately uh led to uh the uh a breaking point, I guess you could say, in uh August of 2022.
- 2:59SPEAKER_03: I was uh called in for uh an intervention of of sorts.
- 3:03SPEAKER_03: Uh my mom was there, uh my ex-wife was there.
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: Um this was coordinated by my ex-mother-in-law, Joy Mangano, and my ex-father-in-law was there for this.
- 3:14SPEAKER_03: And during that intervention, I was presented with photos um, allegedly from a private investigator that uh was corroborating a story that I was in known drug houses, uh, that I was moving quote unquote heavyweight.
- 3:29SPEAKER_03: Um, I was one of the biggest drug dealers in Brooklyn.
- 3:32SPEAKER_03: Uh I was involved in all types of uh nefarious activities, that I was on MYPD watch lists, that I would be arrested uh any day.
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: And um the craziest part is uh I'm a 20-year veteran New York City public school teacher, uh coach.
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: I'm the commissioner of of New York City badminton and uh table tennis.
- 3:54SPEAKER_03: Not to say that drugs don't find their way into other areas of life, but it's just that it's never been me.
- 4:00SPEAKER_03: It's it's not me.
- 4:01SPEAKER_03: And it was when I was presented.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: You've never been charged with anything, no DUIs, nothing.
- 4:07SPEAKER_03: No, I've I've never been charged, arrested.
- 4:10SPEAKER_03: Um, I actually took an initiative and kind of just went uh all-out vigilante mode to clear my name.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: I I walked into the the police precinct where I was accused of of dealing narcotics, pleaded with a sergeant there to like, I will answer any questions you have for me.
- 4:25SPEAKER_03: I will I will you know sit down.
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: Like, I want to clear this up because my children were being kept for me.
- 4:30SPEAKER_03: That's where kind of it started, where you know I wasn't having getting access to my to my kids, and there was no court order at that time.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: But when I went into the police precinct, the sergeant said, you know, we don't even know who you are.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: He goes, we don't, he goes, if we needed to we don't have anything on you.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: What are you talking about?
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's slow down a bit because I really want people to understand this that this can happen to anybody.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: So you're married, your marriage started breaking up, breaking apart, you separated, right?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: You moved out, she moved out of whatever.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Then when did you realize she started withholding the boys from you?
- 5:02SPEAKER_03: It was probably July.
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: It was, you know, she moved out to uh her mother's.
- 5:07SPEAKER_03: We we had a condo in Brooklyn, uh that was our home, and she moved out pretty much to her uh mother's uh estate out on Long Island, uh called Swan Manor.
- 5:16SPEAKER_03: It's 60,000 square foot, 13-acre estate.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: And um, that's when like the limited access really started, where you know, I would request the boys, you know, every single day.
- 5:27SPEAKER_03: I would send a text, I would send, you know, a call, a you know, message.
- 5:31SPEAKER_03: Uh, and I was given just just lame excuses.
- 5:34SPEAKER_03: And I'm I'm a teacher, so I'm off all summer.
- 5:38SPEAKER_03: Um, and my children were young, they weren't even in school.
- 5:41SPEAKER_03: They were, you know, at that point, they were two and a half and almost three and and one and a half years old.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: So, you know, they didn't have much going on, you know, they were little kids.
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: Uh, so that's where I was.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Well, a lot at that point, too.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: That's a big age.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: So did she just start making up excuses and excuses like, oh, they're yeah, like things like, oh, we have something planned, or I can't, we have to do, you know, we have I have to go somewhere and bring the kids.
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: And um, you know, it was uh and it was pretty much you know clear that she was avoiding, you know, me being with the children.
- 6:14SPEAKER_03: But even during that time, there were you know, there were still points where in you know late July, early August, I was picking the kid, like I would pick up my son and uh bring him to a friend of ours' house to go, you know, swimming in the pool.
- 6:26SPEAKER_03: And so there wasn't this fear of I'm this you know unhinged person that is, you know, the children, you know, there's still there's still time of I was still seeing the children a few times a week at that point.
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: After the intervention, though, that's when things started getting severely limited.
- 6:41SPEAKER_03: Uh, and there was about a three-month span where I was uh seeing the kids for basically an hour, maybe two hours, uh in a public place weekly.
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: So the um, and that wasn't a court order, that was kind of what she set as you know, my ex-wife said as as the terms what she saw fit, and you know.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: So let's back up a little bit.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: So the day of the intervention, your mother's there, and I will tell you in my industry.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: I had a I was in a huge Zoom meeting with like 20 to 30 people once, and I said, How many people have had any of your family members turn against you and side with the other parent?
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: And 99% of them put their arms up.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: So it's a very common thing, actually.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: What was the date of that?
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: What month was that when they did the intervention?
- 7:24SPEAKER_03: That was August 26th of 2022.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Don't you love it how when we have all this trauma, we can remember the exact days?
- 7:30SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh.
- 7:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's start that again.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: So you talk really fast, which is great.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: It's fine.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: It's almost slowed out.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: When you so you went where to do this intervention, you didn't know it was an intervention.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: Where were where what were you expecting to go?
- 7:44SPEAKER_03: So I was uh my brother uh and my sister-in-law had just had recently had their first child, my niece.
- 7:50SPEAKER_03: I I was under the assumption I was going to see my children, spend a little time with them, my ex-mother-in-law's house, and then I would go from there to go see my my niece for the first time and meet her.
- 8:01SPEAKER_03: And that was what I thought I was walking into to go do.
- 8:04SPEAKER_03: That was the plan of action.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: So you walk into your mother-in-law's home and what do you see?
- 8:09SPEAKER_03: No, uh, first thing I noticed is that my kids aren't there because that's the first thing I'm looking for.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: Uh, and I actually know where the boys were.
- 8:15SPEAKER_03: My ex-wife told me that they were over at her sister's house, who lived around the corner, not far away.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: And I, you know, was a little confused.
- 8:22SPEAKER_03: And then from there, that's when Joy, Joy Bangano's my ex-mother-in-law, that's when she said, you know, I need to speak with everybody.
- 8:29SPEAKER_03: I I just got recent news and no one knows anything of it yet.
- 8:32SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna roll it out to everybody.
- 8:35SPEAKER_03: So everyone's getting it for the first time right then and there.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: And then you said your mother was there?
- 8:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:40SPEAKER_03: My mom, my mom was there, and you know, I I know now at the time I didn't know they were kind of playing on my mom and manipulating her.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: So they were getting her to give uh them information of like where I was or you know what I was doing, so they could either have a private investigator follow me, or uh they could.
- 8:56SPEAKER_03: I I now know that they confided in her that they were putting different uh Google air tags and tracking devices uh on my vehicle.
- 9:05SPEAKER_03: Uh and my mom at the time, you know, she's she's a a very simple, sweet, innocent woman, sees the best in everybody, gives everyone the benefit of doubt.
- 9:14SPEAKER_03: And she was concerned, you know, she was confused, probably.
- 9:17SPEAKER_03: And you know, for the first time in her her life, you know, she thought she raised, you know, two sons that were not perfect by uh by any means, but you know, at 38 years old, I I think she thought that I think we're out of the uh the drug issue or you know, a substance abuse, you know, kind of you know, time period where that could be an issue.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 9:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Um did you ever have what a drug issue or anything when you're in your 20s?
- 9:42SPEAKER_03: No, no.
- 9:43SPEAKER_03: I no.
- 9:44SPEAKER_03: I was um an athlete my entire life.
- 9:46SPEAKER_03: I started wrestling in second grade and wrestling.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: Okay, you don't need to explain yourself.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: I just had to ask that.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: Keep going.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: So she was worried, your mom, just because she listened to them.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: And so then what did you what did you feel at that moment?
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: What did you like like hurt, anger?
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: Were you upset with your mom at that time?
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: Where you guys are at now with your mom?
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: At that, I I've I've never I've never been upset with my mom ever.
- 10:11SPEAKER_03: She's Brittany and and my mom, I wouldn't be here without the two of them, uh, honestly.
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: And people say that in two of my biggest rocks in my life.
- 10:18SPEAKER_03: Uh, so the uh, you know, I was just more I my mom was upset and I could see she was hurting and she was very confused.
- 10:25SPEAKER_03: And yeah, so when they rolled this out, and you know, I I I asked my mom to step outside and I spoke to my mom in the car, and you know, I told her straightforward.
- 10:34SPEAKER_03: I'm like, listen, they're they're trying, they're trying to build a narrative.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: I'm like, I from the last couple of months, I could see this was kind of going in that direction.
- 10:43SPEAKER_03: I'm like, please do not give them any information, don't tell them anything anymore.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: Um, they're they're using it against me.
- 10:49SPEAKER_03: Like we're not these are people that my mom knew for 20 years, so for her, it's like what they they can't be doing that.
- 10:56SPEAKER_03: And for me, I thought the same thing, you know, it was hard to accept that.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: You're like, why would why would anybody want to take kids away from a father or a parent, a good parent?
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree 100%.
- 11:05SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 11:06SPEAKER_03: And I gave my mom my location on my my iPhone.
- 11:08SPEAKER_03: I'm like, Listen, you'll know where I am, but please do not tell them.
- 11:11SPEAKER_03: I'm like, so you like you can always find me.
- 11:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, from there, you know.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: So then you went back inside.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Did your mom leave?
- 11:18SPEAKER_03: Did she she came back inside with me?
- 11:21SPEAKER_03: We went back inside, and Joy asked, you know, she said, Will you take a drug test?
- 11:26SPEAKER_03: And these these drug accusations were kind of like building over maybe the last month, and they started almost like like a joke where my ex-wife would be like, you know, my mom thinks like something's wrong with you and something's going on, like, and then like my mom thinks like, maybe are you using drugs or whatever?
- 11:41SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, Where is this coming from?
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: Like, it's not, you know, like there's no there's no but you like saw these little things coming in and you knew something was going on, but you're like, No way, yeah.
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I also intercepted, I saw text messages from my ex-wife's mother and father to her, basically saying, like, hey, we have the private investigator set up, it's gonna be tonight.
- 12:03SPEAKER_03: And then, you know, at that point, I I asked my ex-wife, like, hey, you does your mom have anyone following me?
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: And she'd be like, No, and she was blatantly lying.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: And from there on, I went to full protection mode, right?
- 12:14SPEAKER_03: Because I I know that once drugs are start getting, you know, named and and put in the picture, that my my relationship with my child, my children are gonna be, you know, at risk.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: Like my children can be taken away from me just by these accusations.
- 12:27SPEAKER_03: So I I went into like total protection mode to make sure that I was protected, my children were protected, and you know, and those things.
- 12:35SPEAKER_03: Unfortunately, I didn't protect enough because uh inevitably my way access for a long time.
- 12:41SPEAKER_03: They asked about the um the drug test, and if I would take it, if I would take a drug test.
- 12:45SPEAKER_03: And I've said for a month or whatever when these accusations started, I said I'm happy to go take a drug test.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 12:51SPEAKER_03: But when when that when I said that, it was never like, okay, let's go.
- 12:55SPEAKER_03: Like, you know, so what's that?
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: They had a bag and scissors, yeah.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so Joy pulls out, she's like, Okay, well, we don't have to go, we can we can do it right here.
- 13:02SPEAKER_03: Your mother-in-law's joy, right?
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, okay, and uh she pulls out a Ziploc bag with with scissors, and you know, she's like, Can you give me a hair sample?
- 13:10SPEAKER_03: And I'll at first I was like, sure, whatever, take take my hair.
- 13:13SPEAKER_03: I I don't care, I have nothing to hide.
- 13:14SPEAKER_03: But then, like, something inside of me, there was I don't know, spiritual guidance.
- 13:20SPEAKER_03: Uh uh, I don't know what it was, the intuition.
- 13:23SPEAKER_03: It said, Do not give these people a sample of your hair.
- 13:26SPEAKER_03: They're accusing you of being a drug dealer and all of these things.
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: Do not give them your hair.
- 13:31SPEAKER_03: And I so I said, I said, wait a second, I'm like, you don't even, you know, you don't know how to take a hair sample.
- 13:36SPEAKER_03: Like, let's go around the corner.
- 13:38SPEAKER_03: There's probably five walk-in, you know, uh medical clinics.
- 13:42SPEAKER_03: I yeah.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: Um, I said, I well, I'll happily go to one of those, like you know, and they're like, No, no, no, we have to do it this way, we have to do it this way.
- 13:49SPEAKER_03: And I was like, No, I'm not giving you a hair sample.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: Good for you.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: Good for you.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Have you ever had your hair tested from a clinic before?
- 13:58SPEAKER_03: So, yes, I uh after that, though, right?
- 14:00SPEAKER_03: After this, after, yes, yeah.
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: After.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: And did they really just cut your hair?
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: What'd they do?
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: Usually it's the same spot.
- 14:05SPEAKER_03: Depends on I've I've had so many done.
- 14:07SPEAKER_03: There's some there's some fabulous uh lab technicians out there that could really do a nice job and kind of like hide, you know, so it doesn't look like I have a bald spot.
- 14:15SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: So what I'm trying to go is that you know that that one little clip is not how they do it, it's very particular how they shave.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: I say they shave the head.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: I've had mine shaved in six different spots.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: And for a woman with long blonde hair, then like you, Brittany, that killed me because it it took a little forever.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: But um, so yeah, that's why when you said cut, I was like, I'm so glad, you know, your higher power or whatever you want to say told you not to because they were totally rigging you there.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: So good job.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: So that's what people need to realize too, is that can happen, you know, that they can just say oh, and oh, it's positive, and it you didn't have the factual.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: So, okay.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: So you didn't do it, and then how did you leave it?
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: How did it end?
- 14:58SPEAKER_03: It so at that time nothing was really adding up.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: So there were some there were pictures that were provided, but they were just like pictures of me taking my like a weekender bag out of my car, right?
- 15:09SPEAKER_03: And and at that point, it was we were separated, you know, I was living between friends' houses, Airbnb's, you know, like just trying to figure it out and keep it together.
- 15:19SPEAKER_03: So but they would take that picture and they would say, Well, this is you, you know, before you went into a known drug house.
- 15:25SPEAKER_03: And my question right away was, Well, why don't you have any pictures of me entering or leaving a building?
- 15:32SPEAKER_03: Um, even at the time, my ex-wife was like, Uh, mom, this is really isn't adding up to like what you're saying.
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: Like, there's just pictures, random pictures of you know, me going to us going to the beach, and like there's multiple opportunities for a private investigator, even if you miss me going into the drug house, coming out of the drug house.
- 15:48SPEAKER_03: Um, the private investigator alleged uh that I was uh seen leaving one of the drug houses with a bag of white powder.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: And you know, like I would think that that would be an important picture to take, you know.
- 16:01SPEAKER_03: So um we left it as saying, you know, my ex-wife said, Well, I want to speak to the private investigators myself, and um, I want to talk to them and see what's going on here.
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: My thought was, you know what, she's gonna speak to the private investigator.
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: This was so crazy.
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: I'm like, there has to be some type of miscommunication, or like this is not adding up.
- 16:19SPEAKER_03: Like, this can't.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: I know I know reality, I know what I lived, and it my reality is nothing even close to what they were alleging happened.
- 16:27SPEAKER_03: So I just thought it would be a day or so.
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: She would speak to the private investigators, and and then a day or so turned into uh a week, and I was getting no uh communication back.
- 16:36SPEAKER_03: I was texting daily, and then my final text was like, Listen, if if if I don't receive a response, I need to know if my kids are first, I need to know my kids are safe, I need to know where they are, I need to know what's going on with them.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: You know, I was concerned because up until that point, up until like July, you know, for two years of my oldest son's life, I put him to sleep every single night of his life.
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: You know, I was not like just this father that was coming in and coming out.
- 17:01SPEAKER_03: Like fatherhood was something that I wanted to do for a very long time, and I wanted to be in the mix of everything that fatherhood entails.
- 17:09SPEAKER_03: And you know, I puree my my children's food, I bathed them, changed diapers, you know, when they were very involved, sick or I would wake up.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and and I was concerned that my kids were like, Where's where's dad?
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Where's dad?
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: Why is dad?
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: Is he sick?
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: Because when's he coming back?
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's really confusing for a child child, especially at that age.
- 17:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: So when did you go to the police station to be like, hey, do you have anything on me?
- 17:36SPEAKER_03: That was um the probably the first week of September.
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: Um I got a text back from my ex-wife uh after, like I said, a week from the intervention, and she said, I spoke with the the private investigators, and uh they corroborated the entire story that Joy presented.
- 17:54SPEAKER_03: And I was just like shocked.
- 17:56SPEAKER_03: It was like I was Did she tell the police that?
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Sorry, did she tell the police those lies?
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: Or is that so the yeah, the police the police were never involved because there was so she never went to the cops and said he's got this, he's this, he's that.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: So there's no report or anything like that.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, no, uh you I wish she did because that would she could get in trouble and in jail for that because that's uh fraud.
- 18:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:21SPEAKER_03: Um so once I got that text message back from her, then I just went like like I said, just full, full, full renegade mode.
- 18:29SPEAKER_03: I I started drug testing myself.
- 18:31SPEAKER_03: I called my doctor, I had to explain to my doctor that I I need a weekly if I could serum.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: So you just started trying to prove yourself.
- 18:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, okay.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: So then let's go to um how then how long then did she start filing any of that within the courts?
- 18:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so I filed, I think it was uh maybe September 13th, uh, after I went to the precinct, the the the officer told me, listen, he goes, You you have to go to family court.
- 18:56SPEAKER_03: He goes, you have to file a motion for custody.
- 19:00SPEAKER_03: And he goes, the court will order your children to come home.
- 19:03SPEAKER_03: So I uh I filed an order on the 13th in a court in Brooklyn.
- 19:07SPEAKER_03: Um, and then two late two days later, I was served with uh divorce papers uh outside my school.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, lovely.
- 19:13SPEAKER_03: In front of children, children, parents, uh colleagues, you know, people I was walking out of the building with two people I work with, and basically my name got called, you know, Sean Kauf and shouted, and I walked over and they they served me right on the steps.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Jeez.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: I'm so sorry.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: One quick favor before we go any further.

- 20:29SPEAKER_00: We're gonna change this.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: And we got a lot of fun things planning.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: All right, let's go on to Sean and Britney.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, so you got served divorce papers, you still hadn't sending your boys, correct?
- 20:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: And then did you get an emergency hearing or anything to say, hey, I want access to my kids?
- 20:45SPEAKER_03: The first emergency hearing wasn't until October, October 20th.
- 20:48SPEAKER_03: So uh at that point I was uh I was being I was giving I was given access one one hour a week basically in a public place.
- 20:56SPEAKER_03: These were under my ex-wife's terms, and uh so I was seeing them for one hour uh a week at that time, up until uh October 20th is when our our first court date was.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: And what was going on for that court date?
- 21:10SPEAKER_03: The the judge couldn't make sense of it, nothing, nothing made sense.
- 21:14SPEAKER_03: I mean, not not that you could look at a person and say, oh, this person has a drug problem or doesn't have a drug problem, right?
- 21:19SPEAKER_03: But I think the eye test didn't make really make sense.
- 21:22SPEAKER_03: I think that my background in history didn't make sense.
- 21:25SPEAKER_03: You know, I'm a teacher, I'm teaching some days 350 kids a day under my supervision, and you know, without any there's never been a restriction.
- 21:33SPEAKER_03: I've never had you know been disciplined where I wasn't allowed to be around children.
- 21:37SPEAKER_03: Um, but I couldn't be around my own children, so it it it didn't make sense.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: Um and did you have an attorney?
- 21:43SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 21:44SPEAKER_03: Okay, I had an attorney.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: So the judge was like, Okay, what's going on here?
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: And then what do you do?
- 21:49SPEAKER_03: So the judge said, I I have to try to figure out what's going on.
- 21:51SPEAKER_03: And and the judge uh ordered a hair follicle test to be done to the both of us.
- 21:55SPEAKER_03: So I had to take a hair follicle, my ex wife had to take one as well, which later on down the line.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: I actually stopped making her take the the hair follicle because I felt bad.
- 22:04SPEAKER_03: I mean, like uh a woman getting her hair cut.
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: I and I wish I didn't.
- 22:07SPEAKER_03: I wish she had to keep going through it.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: But right, but at the time, I get it.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: You have a heart.
- 22:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 22:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:13SPEAKER_03: And and I wasn't making accusations that she was using drugs.
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: I I know that she wasn't.
- 22:17SPEAKER_03: She knows that I wasn't, but anyway.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: But did she file that in the courts that you were doing drugs?
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: Well, she filed that.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: And the divorce decree?
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: Like he has a drug problem.
- 22:27SPEAKER_03: So she filed uh her affirmation.
- 22:30SPEAKER_03: Not the decree.
- 22:31SPEAKER_03: It was it was basically just uh what the private investigator was saying.
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: So, you know, she wasn't like saying that I had a drug problem or she she she leaned into like, oh, he drank a lot, you know, maybe in college or whatever, you know, post-college.
- 22:47SPEAKER_03: And like, you know, she tried to m embellish situations and make it more extreme than they were.
- 22:53SPEAKER_03: But like I have I had text messages also of saying, you know, once my first son was born, listen, I was so tired being a dad that I I I couldn't even finish a drink.
- 23:02SPEAKER_03: I would I just was exhausted, you know.
- 23:05SPEAKER_03: So from when my first son was born, I hardly drank at all.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: So there was not really there wasn't really anything.
- 23:11SPEAKER_03: You don't have to explain.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: You're like, I feel you, you're kind of like me.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: We always have to like overly explain that it's not true, like you're trying to prove it.
- 23:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: Um, and I believe you, and you don't have to, and um, you're not alone in this.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Sounds like a great father, and you're fighting horribly hard for your children.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: Um, so let's go to go on to um what happened after that court hearing.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: I want to get to when we meet Britney.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, so hold on.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: Have you met Britney yet or not?
- 23:37SPEAKER_03: Yes, yeah.
- 23:37SPEAKER_03: I I met Britney.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's let's let's let's finish the court and let's go back to when you meet Britney.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Okay, I want to hear that story.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Happy stuff.
- 23:45SPEAKER_03: Uh I was ordered to do a hair follicle.
- 23:47SPEAKER_03: Um, I was given a uh a uh parenting parenting time uh order from the court where I was basically I I had no overnights.
- 23:56SPEAKER_03: I needed to have a supervisor, but I had my kids three days a week, um, Tuesday, Wednesday, uh Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for dinner uh from six to eight.
- 24:06SPEAKER_03: And then I had them uh every other weekend, basically Friday evening, Saturday from 10 a.m.
- 24:12SPEAKER_03: to six p.m.
- 24:12SPEAKER_03: and then Sunday, 10 a.m.
- 24:14SPEAKER_03: to 4 p.m.
- 24:15SPEAKER_03: Um there's no overnight.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: So, so quick on that court hearing that you had, did anyone get on the stand and testify?
- 24:20SPEAKER_03: No, it was just it was just uh attorneys basically uh presenting to the to the judge.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so that that right there is they put an order in restricting you from your children, which is your right to have without due process and without the laws of court that your due process rights, and that's completely gone.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: So I won't you just know that because that's ridiculous.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: At least you get to see your boys.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: How are your boys' mental state?
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: Because I can't, you know, I but I know that age because I had two boys of that age once.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: And if even if I had to leave for a little bit, they would cry and scream and not want me to leave.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: How did your boys handle these short visits with their father?
- 24:58SPEAKER_03: It might my my youngest son was he was he was young at the time.
- 25:01SPEAKER_03: So, you know, he for him it was really there wasn't it wasn't so apparent um you know what he was going through or struggling with.
- 25:08SPEAKER_03: My older son, though, uh I saw it immediately.
- 25:12SPEAKER_03: I saw anxiety develop that was never there before.
- 25:16SPEAKER_03: And you know, I voiced these concerns and it kind of fell on deaf ears.
- 25:20SPEAKER_03: He kind of he he fell into a habit of it.
- 25:23SPEAKER_03: If I would leave the room, he would ask where I was going or you know, where's daddy, when is daddy coming back?
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: You know, and if I had just went into the other room to do some laundry, uh so you and and like it was all the time, and he was got like a hypervigilance, um, just aware, you know.
- 25:39SPEAKER_03: The kid he was in survival mode, I think, you know, like he was afraid to you know, an employee.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: He didn't know when you're gonna disappear again because you just disappeared before, right?
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: That safety net between him and his father is broken, and it was broken by his own mother, which is really sad.
- 25:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: So when did you meet Brittany?
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Tell me that story.
- 26:00SPEAKER_03: So we met when uh during the separation.
- 26:03SPEAKER_03: Um, I was asking every day to see my kids, see my kids, and uh not teaching.
- 26:08SPEAKER_03: Uh, I'm sitting alone in my apartment in in Dumbo, Brooklyn, and you know, even leading up to the separation, our relationship was deteriorating before then.
- 26:17SPEAKER_03: And you know, I I I made a decision and I uh said I I I I need to start living a little bit.
- 26:24SPEAKER_03: Like I was lonely, you know, what it comes down to.
- 26:27SPEAKER_03: I was lonely, I was going through something, and I just wanted to feel normal, I think.
- 26:32SPEAKER_03: And uh I met uh this little ray of sunshine right here, uh, not expecting that this is gonna be somebody that I'm gonna wind up spending the rest of my life with, right?
- 26:42SPEAKER_03: Like just leaving a failed marriage.
- 26:45SPEAKER_03: Um, the universe works in funny ways.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: And well, I'm glad you actually there.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: I've met I've dated a lot of men.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: I've been single for 13 years, but I've dated a lot of men that have been so burnt by women that they think all women are bad or all women are like this.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: And for you to be able to accept, you know, take her in as her own and not compare her as all women are gonna do this, all women are controlling.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: It's really impressive because I will tell you 10 out of the guys I dated in the last 13 years, not all of them, but pretty much they all had these issues and they're like, no, no, I can't because you're gonna be this way, this way.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: I'm like, why you can't base it off of so um I'm really impressed by that.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: It's a good job.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: And that's the only reason you found someone because you believed who she is and not base her off of your ex.
- 27:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: So how did you meet her?
- 27:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh, we met online.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: I was hoping you say dating app.
- 27:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: Everyone says that now.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: That's the only way we can meet nowadays, you know?
- 27:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 27:44SPEAKER_03: Um so you met her online.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: You had your friends?
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay, cool.
- 27:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we had a uh a uh guy I used to work with, um, another phys ed teacher grew up in Britney's neighborhood, and they uh so we like he was a mutual friend of both of ours.
- 28:00SPEAKER_03: Um and that was uh kind of the end there, and then kind of took it from there.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: But and you've been together how long now?
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: Three years?
- 28:10SPEAKER_03: It'll be uh four.
- 28:12SPEAKER_03: It was just four years.
- 28:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: Four years now.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, four years.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: And you're being engaged, when did you get engaged?
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: This past January.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, no, you're fine.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Brittany, we started dating pretty early on the relationship.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: Did you get to meet the boys?
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there was um I I'm I'm I did, yes.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: Okay, and you got to build a relationship with them too.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: Like, were you the supervisor that watched when he they came home?
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: No, no, his his mother, and also his brother and sister-in-law.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: Good, good, okay.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: You're dating a man with a with a really hard divorce.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: How is that?
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: And how did you deal with that?
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Because have you been ever been married?
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this is all new territory, yeah.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: Very, very new, yeah.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: I um in the beginning they put a restriction on me seeing the boys.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: Um, so it was just very challenging.
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: I didn't um you didn't you didn't really know what to expect ever.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: Um it's also like like hearing going through hearing the accusations and like seeing this person, and like you have to almost doubt yourself.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Like I'm I'm seeing the the real life version of him, but like the the fact that the court things like get so far, it's like like what's going on here, you know what I mean?
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: I never doubted there was never an instance where anything he did made made me question, you know, him or any like maybe he is this this drunk kid.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: No, I mean Does he have this anger problem that's gonna come out, or yeah.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: Right, and it's actually amazing, like to for what you said earlier, like even through like everything he's been through, he's never once like he still continues to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: Like have you would think that somebody that went through that would be scorned, but it's he's incredible and he he's he's a truly good man at heart, you know.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: No, it was it was easy, like I think anybody else this would have crumbled fast, but he's he never took anything out of me.
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: He made the the probably worst possible situation like very very easy on me, you know.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: Well, and I always I always tell people uh when I haven't dated much since my kids were gone, you know, how you snow him at his hardest part of his life.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: Okay, so it's almost the most amazing gift for you.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, right, you know, you don't like him going through it, right?
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: But at least you get to see him at the most stressful part and how does he act.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: And that's something that people don't experience usually for years.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: Um, and how does he handle stress?
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: You know, does he take it out on you?
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: You know, so it's actually a gift for you because you get to see a real solid person to see how they respond.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: And it's a good it's a gift for Sean to be like, look, this is truly me.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: Because if I was this druggy person or this messed up person, I wouldn't be able to even handle this.
- 31:05SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: Even um when they were throwing the accusations at him, and like we I knew they weren't true, I was like, just why why don't you just do it back?
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: Like what why why are you letting them play dirty?
- 31:16SPEAKER_01: And like you're and no matter what, he would never he never faltered.
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: He always, you know, did the right thing, and and it was never, you know, a struggle for him to do the right thing.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: He always put so he's a very good, honest man.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: So and sadly, that's the big Aw.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: Sadly, the people that play dirty are the usually the ones that win, and the people that are good and honorable are the ones that get screwed.
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: I know it's it's really disheartening, honestly.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: It it changes you a little bit as a person to say.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: Well, um, I don't know if you know anything about my story at all, but I had a divorce decree that was 30 pages long.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: I had due process.
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: My ex tried everything to prove I'm crazy, prove I'm an alcoholic, the same thing.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: But because I had an old school judge that that followed the constitution, we had people on the witness stand under oath.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: We had a real court hearing five days, cost$350,000.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: And I had to say firsthand what it's like to actually have evidence, right?
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: So we put on the record.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: And so I know it can happen.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: This was in 2013 to 2016.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: Then years later, my ex is coming to court.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: And then another judge came on in another state and said, Oh, I'm just gonna believe everything you said since I lost my five children two years ago.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: Same thing.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: I have the same story as John.
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: But I've seen it actually be right.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: And that's where it it, I mean, I could have said it.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: They didn't care if I talked online.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: I could have done anything I wanted.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: They didn't, they didn't gag me or anything, but it's changed things have changed and it's only getting worse.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: And if we don't change this, your children are gonna be affected.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: Married couples right now are taking their kids to the hospital just for a checkup or something, and the doctors are saying lies, so and they're losing their kids.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: So anyway, I don't need to go in that rabbit hole, but I just want you to know um typically it's supposed to be the way where he would be able to show evidence and someone swears under oath this is true and all that, but it doesn't happen like that anymore.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, you're sweet.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: Well, the same way as him.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: I had to say, okay, well, take my kids away.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: I played the good part for over 10 years, had my kids 80% on 80%.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: And all of a sudden, my ex went behind my back like him and made up all these lies and didn't even know.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: All of a sudden, I just got yeah, found out out of nowhere and I have a court, and all of a sudden, what?
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: And I never saw them again, again, two and a half years ago.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: Um, seven level five.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: And I had them 80%.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: They were going behind my back, saying lies, convince my father, convince my sister.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: Same thing.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: So you're not a like this is any Sean's story, it's just like mine, but opposite.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's where I tell people I don't support, I support any good parent.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: It's not man versus woman anymore, like people like to.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: And um, and then I support people like you that have to walk into this because it's a lot.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: And it and it's hard on your marriage, your relationship, you know, your future.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: Um and I haven't found a guy because hey, God wanted me to grow and do all this for the last two years, so I wouldn't have time for a man because I've been like, what?
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: You want to go hang out and snuggle?
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: No, I gotta work.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: I gotta change the system.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: I gotta speak to Sean and Brittany.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: So I know God has a plan.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: I know God has a plan for me one day to find a person, and I will one day, so I'm not worried about it.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: But I'm really I love seeing two people though, like you guys.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Um and so tell me about your book.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: When did you start writing your book?
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: Tell me about all that.
- 34:36SPEAKER_03: Um, yeah, so from day one, you know, I mentioned I had a, you know, I got an attorney.
- 34:42SPEAKER_03: Um, and I I thought that he seemed like he was gonna be a fighter, and that's kind of the kind of my spirit.
- 34:48SPEAKER_03: I have a warrior spirit and been involved with uh wrestling and and mixed martial arts.
- 34:53SPEAKER_03: I coached Michel mixed martial arts for a few years with a bunch of pro fighters, and I I wanted someone that was gonna fight the way that I would fight, and I thought I found an attorney.
- 35:02SPEAKER_03: Um from day one, I told them my I said, listen, I I want to take civil action, right?
- 35:08SPEAKER_03: Uh these people are making up 100% lies about me.
- 35:13SPEAKER_03: Um, I have the evidence to be able to back it up and and prove that that that it that it's lies and and these are fabricated stories.
- 35:21SPEAKER_03: And I I want to take a civil suit and I want to press civil charges as well.
- 35:25SPEAKER_03: Uh my attorney he told me, okay, he goes first we have to handle the divorce and the custody, and then after that, we'll the civil suit comes after that.
- 35:32SPEAKER_03: And I said, Okay, great, you know.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: Which is a bunch of draw.
- 35:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, sorry, that's not true.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sorry, go ahead.
- 35:39SPEAKER_03: Um, so I I I followed his lead on that had to doing this and uh just sitting through hearings and and court appearances, and just having this bite my tongue and and and and sit through the lies.
- 35:55SPEAKER_03: And and one day after court court, I told him, I said, my attorney, I said, Mike, I said, why aren't you correcting the record?
- 36:01SPEAKER_03: Why are you just letting them say these things that we know are is not true in their lies?
- 36:05SPEAKER_03: And he's he told me, He goes, Listen, just follow my lead.
- 36:08SPEAKER_03: He goes, you know, when the day comes that we get this to trial, and we have to get this to trial, he goes, you know, all everything will come out.
- 36:16SPEAKER_03: He goes, before then it doesn't matter.
- 36:18SPEAKER_03: So fast forward 20 months, right?
- 36:20SPEAKER_03: It was a 20-month uh divorce proceedings.
- 36:22SPEAKER_03: We were set to go to trial, everything suddenly flipped.
- 36:25SPEAKER_03: Now it was I need to settle, and I need to settle and accept zero dollars in my settlement.
- 36:30SPEAKER_03: And you know, we just recently we sold a uh$1.4 million uh condo that that we both owned, me and my ex-wife.
- 36:39SPEAKER_03: Um I got zero dollars from the sale of that condo.
- 36:43SPEAKER_03: Um, by the way, did she make the money?
- 36:46SPEAKER_03: Like, was she the well you're a teacher who made all the money?
- 36:49SPEAKER_03: Uh so we both made relatively the same amount.
- 36:52SPEAKER_03: She c her mom is extremely wealthy.
- 36:54SPEAKER_03: Her mom uh is on the home shopping network and they made a movie about her and all that stuff.
- 36:59SPEAKER_03: At that time, we we were both our our income tax is you know, we were both both making it about the same amount of money.
- 37:05SPEAKER_03: Okay, she really didn't have any any of the expenses because uh they were all paid for for the most part.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's so sorry, keep going.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: So you didn't get any money out of the settle out of the house.
- 37:18SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 37:18SPEAKER_03: Uh I was about uh$70,000 into legal fees at that point.
- 37:24SPEAKER_03: Um, and my attorneys are telling me to settle, and I said, I couldn't believe it.
- 37:28SPEAKER_03: I was like, what do you mean?
- 37:29SPEAKER_03: Like, this is everything we worked for, this is everything we built the case and got put all the evidence together in the exhibits for this.
- 37:37SPEAKER_03: And he goes, My attorney's like, You're not gonna get a better deal.
- 37:39SPEAKER_03: The judge is gonna give you less time.
- 37:41SPEAKER_03: And I was like, I don't think so.
- 37:42SPEAKER_03: I don't, I don't think the judge is gonna give me less time, you know.
- 37:44SPEAKER_03: I I think if anything, I'm gonna get the same amount of time that I have now.
- 37:48SPEAKER_03: Um, and it went back and forth, and they were basically pleading for me to to settle.
- 37:52SPEAKER_03: And I I I refused.
- 37:54SPEAKER_03: I said, Listen, I know the people involved, I know what they did, I have all the evidence to back it up and prove what they did.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: You want your day in court, yeah.
- 38:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 38:04SPEAKER_03: And then no, then they tried to like, you're not gonna be able to afford it.
- 38:07SPEAKER_03: I said, Listen, I said my parents will sell their home and downsize to be able to support me.
- 38:12SPEAKER_03: Like they were fully behind me at this point, they were sick of it, you know, like the manipulation and what what I was put through.
- 38:19SPEAKER_03: And um, I was like, I'll find a way.
- 38:23SPEAKER_03: Um like that's not gonna be a determining factor of me settling because I can't afford the the trial.
- 38:27SPEAKER_03: I you know, and I I held out.
- 38:30SPEAKER_03: I basically said I'm um I refused.
- 38:32SPEAKER_03: I refused up until the last second, they were saying we're we're we're not giving you any money.
- 38:37SPEAKER_03: And then finally they said, Okay, we'll give you you know$25,000 and we'll give you um I owed them, I think,$21,000 in legal fees.
- 38:46SPEAKER_03: The her attorney said that he would he would cross those out uh and and and wipe them away.
- 38:51SPEAKER_03: And so, you know, when we settled, so you settled.
- 38:54SPEAKER_03: But I didn't know, yeah, we settled.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I was like, wait, it's like edgy, you're they're convincing you, they're convincing you, and then I was like, Well, wait, yeah, okay, so you settled for did you what was the child custody arrangement with that?
- 39:08SPEAKER_03: So um it was we worked out a a uh a plan that was around my school schedule, um, so that I would have more time with the children when I was uh off of school, when they were off from school, like so holidays and breaks.
- 39:21SPEAKER_03: Um so I my biggest thing was getting it to 5050.
- 39:25SPEAKER_03: Uh it wasn't it was almost 5050.
- 39:28SPEAKER_03: To get it to 5050, it would it would really would have been a strain on the kids, and I didn't want to put them through that, you know, picking them up and then taking them for a day, and then you know, just it would have been a lot of back and forth.
- 39:38SPEAKER_03: And but it was close to 50-50.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: And uh and see that right there is proof of a good father.
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: You care more about your kids' movements than your own selfish wanting to have 50-50 on the paper.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: So thank you.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: Good job.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, all right, go ahead.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 39:51SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 39:52SPEAKER_03: Yes, and and I was being told, you know, with this just settle for zero dollars, just settle, you know, you're gonna you're gonna have the civil suit.
- 40:01SPEAKER_03: Like you like, don't forget about the civil suit.
- 40:03SPEAKER_03: You'll you'll be able to have your day in court in the civil suit.
- 40:05SPEAKER_03: You'll be able to hold people accountable in the civil suit.
- 40:08SPEAKER_03: And my my thinking was like, you know, once we have the civil suit, then I'll have I'll have uh things on the record, I'll be able to use those hearing transcripts, even though you know, from the civil suit, uh, and petition the custody and get more time.
- 40:23SPEAKER_03: Uh and you know, that was my uh my game plan.
- 40:27SPEAKER_03: And uh so I you know, we said we we we we did uh settle and uh I got you know at least something, a little a little bit of money to you know pay uh a third of my uh my legal fees, but uh it was about three months I was strung along after we settled, and I was I kept you know reaching out to my attorney, like, hey, what are we gonna get going on the civil suit?
- 40:49SPEAKER_03: Like, what's going on?
- 40:50SPEAKER_03: Let's I wanna go, like let's do this.
- 40:52SPEAKER_03: And finally, after three months, he said, Hey, listen, we're we're not gonna take the case.
- 40:56SPEAKER_03: We've decided that we're not gonna take the civil suit.
- 40:58SPEAKER_03: What?
- 40:59SPEAKER_03: Um, and I was like, I was like, Mike, you know, I was like, I was kind of shocked.
- 41:03SPEAKER_03: I was like, listen, this to me, it seems like a slam dunk, right?
- 41:07SPEAKER_03: Like, we have everything, all the work is done.
- 41:09SPEAKER_03: Um, it's it, and I I thought maybe like towards the end of our divorce proceedings, like we were getting our butt kicked a little bit, um, or he was getting his butt kicked, and I was just the punching bag sitting there taking it.
- 41:22SPEAKER_03: Uh, but I thought maybe like, you know what, maybe he just wanted to distance himself from it, the case, and he made some some critical mistakes on his end.
- 41:30SPEAKER_03: And I thought, you know, maybe he just he didn't want to be attached to it anymore.
- 41:34SPEAKER_03: So I said, okay, that's fine.
- 41:35SPEAKER_03: All right, thank you, Mike.
- 41:36SPEAKER_03: I appreciate it.
- 41:36SPEAKER_03: And I moved and I moved on.
- 41:37SPEAKER_03: I just started reaching out to other attorneys, and um, I spoke to uh one of my former wrestlers, his father is an attorney, and he put me in in contact with a gentleman uh named Russ Marnell.
- 41:50SPEAKER_03: And and Russ called me into his office on it was uh Veterans Day of uh 2024, and I I went over there and uh had all my my papers together, and I thought I was gonna make a presentation to him, and we were gonna get this slam dunk civil suit filed and and in motion.
- 42:07SPEAKER_03: And he and he uh came in and he said, Sean, uh, you know, I just wanted I wanted to tell you in person because I think you deserve that.
- 42:13SPEAKER_03: Uh he goes, the statute of limitations on a civil suit ran out probably uh eight months ago.
- 42:19SPEAKER_03: He goes, probably four months, yeah.
- 42:22SPEAKER_03: Four months after uh four months before you even sign your divorce agreement.
- 42:26SPEAKER_03: He goes, it was never it was and I guess in New York it works is you have one year um statute of limitations if it's intentional, if like the uh what was the allegation of the crime that was committed was intentionally done, and then three if it was negligence, and he goes, You're he goes, even on the negligence, he goes, nothing's gonna fit.
- 42:48SPEAKER_03: And I was like, uh I was shocked.
- 42:50SPEAKER_03: I was again, I was not what I was expecting to hear.
- 42:54SPEAKER_03: And uh I was like, is there a loophole?
- 42:56SPEAKER_03: And he goes, he goes, not not for this.
- 42:58SPEAKER_03: He goes, if there was like a sexual assault or something, he goes, then the court will grant you know extended periods of time.
- 43:04SPEAKER_03: But he goes, something like this, he goes, There's not.
- 43:06SPEAKER_03: And I I sat for a minute and I I was just like, Well, my last play here is if I write a book, I said, Russ, will you represent me?
- 43:15SPEAKER_03: If I write a book, would you represent me with the book and and you know, uh possibly negotiate it with um my ex-mother-in-law Joy, and see if if you know if she would want to buy it.
- 43:28SPEAKER_03: And Russ was like, Yeah, sure.
- 43:29SPEAKER_03: I'll I got yeah, go definitely write your book and you know, come back and talk to me.
- 43:34SPEAKER_03: He didn't think I was writing a book.
- 43:35SPEAKER_03: Uh, I started writing a book that night.
- 43:37SPEAKER_03: I came back to him in four months.
- 43:38SPEAKER_03: I gave him a call.
- 43:39SPEAKER_03: I said, Russ, I'm about 60,000 words in.
- 43:42SPEAKER_03: Um, I want to sit down and talk how we're gonna play this.
- 43:44SPEAKER_03: And he was like, All right, come into the office.
- 43:46SPEAKER_03: And uh so I I I gave him what I had done, and he's like, All right, it's gonna cost ten thousand dollars for a retainer for me to take this on.
- 43:55SPEAKER_03: I didn't have ten thousand dollars, and I said, Um, okay, Russ, how about this?
- 43:59SPEAKER_03: I I had it all planned out because I knew I was gonna have to give him some money.
- 44:02SPEAKER_03: And I I send him a piece of paper.
- 44:05SPEAKER_03: I said, I will give you first crack at negotiating this with my ex-mother-in-law.
- 44:11SPEAKER_03: If she wants to buy the intellectual property of the book, um, you would you would get 20% of whatever money she buys, you know, whatever she wants, you know, we settle on.
- 44:21SPEAKER_03: I'm like, if she doesn't want to buy the book, I will give you uh X amount percentage on sales of the book for X amount of time.
- 44:29SPEAKER_03: Um, and I gave him another option on book sales, and I said, you know, what do you think?
- 44:34SPEAKER_03: And he goes, uh let me think about it.
- 44:37SPEAKER_03: And I go, Well, there's one other thing.
- 44:38SPEAKER_03: I'm actually um they bring me up on contempt charges.
- 44:40SPEAKER_03: I need someone to represent me for that, also.
- 44:43SPEAKER_03: He's like, he goes, Oh man, all right.
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: Did we get the kitchen sink in there?
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: Is the kitchen sink all in there?
- 44:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I was desperate at that point.
- 44:52SPEAKER_03: I I didn't feel bad asking because I I needed I I had no other option.
- 44:57SPEAKER_03: So uh he read the book and then uh he called me back into his office and said, uh, you know, told me he, you know, he read it and he was I could tell he was he thought it was good.
- 45:08SPEAKER_03: He thought the book was good.
- 45:09SPEAKER_03: And he's like, All right, I'm gonna take it.
- 45:11SPEAKER_03: He goes, you know, and we came to our agreement and he handled the contempt uh stuff for me also.
- 45:17SPEAKER_03: Um and uh we went from there.
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: And uh I finished the book in around January of uh 2026, and uh I met with Joy Mangano.
- 45:28SPEAKER_03: I kind of set up a meeting with her, uh made it seem like I was gonna apologize to her, and I kind of played into her ego a little bit.
- 45:37SPEAKER_03: Uh met up with her in the four seasons downtown in Manhattan, and uh we were sitting at a table at uh the restaurant there, and I uh I put the I put the manuscript in front of her.
- 45:48SPEAKER_03: And uh, you know, after after she got her her jaw up from off the table.
- 45:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm like, my jaw is like on the floor right now.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: Come on!
- 45:56SPEAKER_03: Um what she had.
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: If the book is written like this at all, it's suspenseful, so good job.
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: Well, when we had the intervention that day at her house that I mentioned, she uh she was very dramatic and and she started the meeting by saying, Sean, today is gonna be a day of reckoning for you.
- 46:16SPEAKER_03: And it just stuck in my brain and and just emboldened in my and just in my brain.
- 46:24SPEAKER_03: And when I I handed her the manuscript, I said, Joy, we had an intervention that you hosted at your house back in you know August of 2022.
- 46:33SPEAKER_03: And I said, You told me that that that that day was gonna be a day of reckoning for me.
- 46:37SPEAKER_03: And I said, That the day of reckoning, it hasn't come.
- 46:40SPEAKER_03: I've had some tough days, but the day of reckoning has never come.
- 46:43SPEAKER_03: And I said, and that's when I pulled out the manuscript.
- 46:45SPEAKER_03: I said, Today is actually gonna be your day of reckoning.
- 46:47SPEAKER_03: And I put it in front of her and I said, All lies will be revealed, joy.
- 46:51SPEAKER_03: And uh she was silent.
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: Sorry, that's awesome! If we had like a crowd, like a real show, they'd be standing up clapping too, you know, like an open okay, sorry, I give me chills.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
- 47:04SPEAKER_00: Okay, get going.
- 47:06SPEAKER_03: And uh she just stared at it and didn't say anything.
- 47:09SPEAKER_03: And she goes, You what is this?
- 47:11SPEAKER_03: And she could see what it was.
- 47:13SPEAKER_03: And I said, It's my book.
- 47:14SPEAKER_03: I said, You're you're in it.
- 47:15SPEAKER_03: Um, I want to give you a chance to read through it.
- 47:18SPEAKER_03: Um, if there's anything that you feel is inaccurate or um isn't isn't uh 100% truthful, I was like, I want you to you know have the opportunity to address it with me before it goes to public.
- 47:30SPEAKER_03: Hold on one second.
- 47:31SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of clapping, isn't it?
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: Are you guys hitting anything?
- 47:34SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry, I hit I hit the table, yeah.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: Well, are you hitting it every time?
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: Because it felt it sounds like someone's clapping, like while you're talking.
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: Is it better?
- 47:42SPEAKER_00: What about yeah?
- 47:43SPEAKER_03: Oh, it might have been the microphone.
- 47:44SPEAKER_01: I think the mic was yeah, hitting.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay, okay.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: Sorry, go ahead.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: I just was like, I couldn't even understand you because it heard all his clapping.
- 47:51SPEAKER_00: That was the crowd.
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: Oh I know! The crowd.
- 47:56SPEAKER_00: Weird.
- 47:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, sorry, go ahead.
- 47:59SPEAKER_03: Um, so yeah, by that by that point, I I wrote this uh book that was 120,000 words, and uh I I didn't I didn't want to sell it to her.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: I didn't want her to I was gonna say, what was your reasoning trying to sell it to her?
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: Just to shut her up or what?
- 48:17SPEAKER_03: At first, it was I I was so in debt of legal fees and being drug, and then having you know, my entire life savings I put into purchasing this uh Arcando and uh not having that's gone.
- 48:29SPEAKER_03: Um I had to take out loans.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: So you wanted her to buy it so that you'd shut you up.
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: So because she wouldn't publish it, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 48:40SPEAKER_03: Just to just so she could put it in a drawer.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: Just like kind of like, guess what?
- 48:43SPEAKER_00: You can buy it or it's going public.
- 48:45SPEAKER_00: What'd she say?
- 48:46SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 48:48SPEAKER_03: Um, she she said, okay, I'll take a look at it.
- 48:50SPEAKER_03: She goes, how how soon do I need to make a you know, read through it?
- 48:54SPEAKER_03: And I I said, Listen, I'm not publishing it tomorrow.
- 48:56SPEAKER_03: Um, but you know, relatively soon.
- 48:58SPEAKER_03: And I never heard from her.
- 49:00SPEAKER_03: I I didn't hear from her to for I didn't hear from her ever again, actually.
- 49:03SPEAKER_03: I I heard from her my my attorney, my ex-wife's attorney, yeah.
- 49:08SPEAKER_03: Um in April of 2026, the the night before, the day before it was set to be published.
- 49:14SPEAKER_03: Um, I got called in on an emergency uh uh TRO to try to shut down the book, shut down publishing.
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, so did it get shut down?
- 49:22SPEAKER_00: Did it go?
- 49:23SPEAKER_03: No, the j the judge didn't shut it down.
- 49:25SPEAKER_03: He uh, but he did you know say, Listen, I want to uh make sure that you know what you're putting out there is not in you know go that it doesn't go against your divorce agreement, and I want to make sure that it's uh not disparaging.
- 49:37SPEAKER_03: That was the big thing they were pushing.
- 49:38SPEAKER_03: They were trying to push.
- 49:39SPEAKER_03: There was one line in my divorce, our divorce agreement that said, neither parent can disparage the other parent or the other parent's extended family, and that was it.
- 49:49SPEAKER_03: And they were hanging their hat that that meant that I can't write a book, I can't write online, I can't publish articles, I can't have social media, um, you know, which I disagree with and said, you know, that's not that's not what the the disparagement was uh pertaining to.
- 50:05SPEAKER_03: That was in the divorce agreement.
- 50:07SPEAKER_03: And uh the judge, the judge uh denied their their request.
- 50:11SPEAKER_03: I took a couple extra days because I wanted to make sure that I really was thoughtful and and looked through the there's no disparaging uh any any kind of dispatch disparaging material towards my ex-wife just because it was the mother of my children, and and I I didn't want to do that.
- 50:28SPEAKER_03: So uh against other people in her family, listen, I put I put the the truth out there, and uh so the book was published.
- 50:37SPEAKER_03: It was published for about uh 10 almost two weeks, so uh 10 days, something like that.
- 50:42SPEAKER_03: Uh sold 200 copies, and then uh they made another request a week later.
- 50:47SPEAKER_03: Uh that got shut down, and then finally their third request is when we started the hearing on on the book.
- 50:53SPEAKER_03: Uh the it find the judge put a temporary restraint on it um and I had to stop publishing.
- 50:59SPEAKER_00: Wow, that's insane.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: You can't even write your own story.
- 51:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, so so you know, when you get married and you go through and then you have to go through a divorce, you won't be able to shut your life ever again.
- 51:08SPEAKER_00: You're stuck.
- 51:11SPEAKER_00: I need you to write my book since you're a writer.
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: No, I already have like so many people wanting it.
- 51:18SPEAKER_00: Um, we'll talk about it later if you want, but you could literally write and I already have the cover and it says erasing us.
- 51:25SPEAKER_00: Um, how the family court is erasing a mother of five.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: Um, and I already have like 13 chapters, but because I don't have my kids back, it's very hard to write, like getting it finished.
- 51:35SPEAKER_00: And like I want it to be, so I did another interview with the doctor in Texas that wrote her memoir book.
- 51:41SPEAKER_00: And um, this will this will be not live.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: This will not be on just between you guys.
- 51:45SPEAKER_00: But anyway, I she they sent me the book.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: It's a beautiful book.
- 51:49SPEAKER_00: I don't know how many she sold, but um, I was listening to the they sent me the audio because I don't have time to read, so send me the audio.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: They did.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: And I couldn't even get through the first two chapters, or it's so boring.
- 51:59SPEAKER_00: Like really, like was not hooking.
- 52:02SPEAKER_00: It wasn't like you're you how you talk, John?
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: If your book is all like that.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 52:09SPEAKER_01: Anyone that has read the book says they can't put it down.
- 52:12SPEAKER_01: Like it is that's it is so good.
- 52:15SPEAKER_00: It is so good.
- 52:16SPEAKER_00: Like you should do it, John.
- 52:18SPEAKER_00: Write my book because that's what my whole thing was.
- 52:20SPEAKER_00: Like, I want someone to be right reading, and then you don't know what the next chapter is.
- 52:24SPEAKER_00: You don't want to put the book down.
- 52:25SPEAKER_00: Is that how and how has it?
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: Well, you have to send me the audio because I just couldn't listen to it.
- 52:30SPEAKER_00: I want to walk listen to it.
- 52:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I I have to admit I haven't put that's in the works.
- 52:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't have audio yet, but it it's it's coming.
- 52:38SPEAKER_03: Technically, right now it's it's I'm not allowed to do anything with it.
- 52:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're not allowed to do anything, right?
- 52:43SPEAKER_00: But you can send it to me if you want.
- 52:44SPEAKER_00: Just do it.
- 52:45SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, you want to try it.
- 52:46SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: But um, yeah, that's it's awesome that you're because it just even how you're talking, I can tell.
- 52:52SPEAKER_00: You're very good at catching people and it's kind of like, come on, keep going.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, tell me, Brady, in your own words, tell me about this book that you read that's not allowed to be out there, but you can talk about it because you read about it.
- 53:07SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 53:08SPEAKER_01: Um huh, it's it's a it's a ride.
- 53:10SPEAKER_01: It is like an absolute roller coaster.
- 53:12SPEAKER_01: Like one one minute you're crying, then like you're cackling.
- 53:16SPEAKER_01: Like I've never I don't think I've ever laughed out loud from a book.
- 53:19SPEAKER_01: Obviously, like it's closer to home to me because I lived through a lot of this with Sean.
- 53:25SPEAKER_01: And um, I mean, he just the spin that he did on something so devastating, like to still obviously there's still uh a war ahead of us, but um he's still it's still an uplifting read in a way, you know what I mean?
- 53:40SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, no, it's it's it's really it's really good.
- 53:46SPEAKER_01: I think like when when the day comes that it is unbanned, I I think that it it could it it's gonna be something, you know.
- 53:54SPEAKER_01: I think it could even could really even be a movie.
- 53:57SPEAKER_01: It's it's insane and and the plot's thickening.
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: Like there's there there could easily be a sequel, you know?
- 54:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah but yeah he he I saw him work like tirelessly at at it, like up all night doing it.
- 54:11SPEAKER_01: And I I never doubt Sean.
- 54:14SPEAKER_01: I've learned not to doubt Sean, but like to I I'd never he I always knew he was a great writer, but for it to be as good as it is, it would I mean it's by great writer.
- 54:26SPEAKER_03: I think Brittany may mean like witty text messages.
- 54:29SPEAKER_03: That's exactly what I mean.
- 54:30SPEAKER_00: I don't know about but really, but yeah, you can see it.
- 54:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you were able to see it.
- 54:35SPEAKER_00: Well, and it's not too often where you have a book that it can be really traumatizing, but you can turn it where you can laugh.
- 54:44SPEAKER_00: Um I think that's what keeps people, gives them you know hope and keeps them engaged.
- 54:49SPEAKER_00: Um so was he typing or is he writing?
- 54:53SPEAKER_01: Typing.
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: Typing meme, you know that was fun.
- 55:00SPEAKER_01: And um I'll never forget the the day that he met with John.
- 55:04SPEAKER_01: Uh John what?
- 55:06SPEAKER_01: I'll never forget the day he met with Joy.
- 55:08SPEAKER_01: Like the the shift in his energy.
- 55:10SPEAKER_01: Like it was really like you could tell how cathartic it was for him.
- 55:15SPEAKER_01: And when you live under all those lies for so long, like you know, to to be able to really correct it and put the truth out there.
- 55:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, it was it was nice to see Sean uh so it was kind of a healing, yeah, healing thing for him.
- 55:32SPEAKER_00: Absolutely John, you need to start you need to start talking about how to teach people how to write.
- 55:38SPEAKER_00: Like how to start doing it.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: That would be huge.
- 55:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 55:43SPEAKER_00: Because people want their stories and then and then it's healing.
- 55:46SPEAKER_00: For me, I can't when I go in there, it makes me sad for days after I look at my stuff.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: Um, because I'm like, man, I healing, you know.
- 55:53SPEAKER_00: Um, but I think for you to say, but at the end of it, this is how I felt, you know, and I don't know.
- 56:01SPEAKER_00: I'm a marketing person, so I always like to try to help people, you know, do something like what they wanted to do and be a passionate.
- 56:08SPEAKER_00: Um okay, so 200 sold.
- 56:11SPEAKER_00: That's impressive.
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: In two weeks, um maybe you can just send me a chapter so I can just kind of read one.
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: Um or I'll have an AI read it out loud to me.
- 56:23SPEAKER_00: That's usually what I do.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, I'm a pretty much AI whiz over here.
- 56:28SPEAKER_00: That's the only reason I get anything done, is because I don't, I'm by myself here, you know.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: I but I have lots of jobs.
- 56:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, so after what what's going on with you and the boys now, right now?
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: What's going on in your guys' relationship?
- 56:42SPEAKER_00: Where's the status on all that?
- 56:46SPEAKER_03: Uh I'll speak for the for the boys that leave.
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: I think you're sigh.
- 56:52SPEAKER_00: I'm supposed to say it.
- 56:53SPEAKER_00: I'm just supposed to say it.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: No, I see your sigh.
- 56:56SPEAKER_00: I loved it.
- 56:57SPEAKER_00: You're like, okay.
- 56:59SPEAKER_00: Now suspense again.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: What is what is she sighing about?
- 57:02SPEAKER_00: Go ahead, Sean.
- 57:04SPEAKER_03: Uh yeah, uh right now I'm just trying to trying to create the most normal home situation for my for my boys as possible, you know, just uh just trying to be present with them and you know, so much I feel like uh I missed out on and so many you know moments and milestones and experiences.
- 57:24SPEAKER_03: It's hard for me.
- 57:25SPEAKER_03: It's hard for me to sometimes not harp on that, you know, of what was lost.
- 57:29SPEAKER_03: And uh I'm just trying to focus on creating you know new experiences and new moments with them, you know.
- 57:36SPEAKER_03: And uh that's kind of just uh I I've kind of learned that if I don't stay in the present, it's not good for me, it's not good for anyone.
- 57:44SPEAKER_03: Uh so I just try to be as present as possible with them and uh you know just try to give back and give give them the father that they've needed, you know, and and didn't have at times.
- 57:53SPEAKER_03: And and hopefully I think that you know, any of the hurt that they've felt and the the damage that's been done to them, um hopefully my my love and care for them is is is enough to help help them get past that.
- 58:08SPEAKER_00: So you guys are have the family now, you guys can sh Brittany, you can be around the boys.
- 58:15SPEAKER_00: How's co-parenting going with you and your ex, not you two, not you two.
- 58:20SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, uh I've given up on it.
- 58:22SPEAKER_03: I I mean I gave up on it a long time ago.
- 58:24SPEAKER_03: I mean, it it's just you can't co-parent with somebody that's uh refuses to co-parent, you know, like it's if someone won't consider your thoughts or explore new, you know, avenues or ways to do things, then you know it's it's just like talking to a brick wall.
- 58:45SPEAKER_03: Um so I I just for me it's when my boys are with us, we take care of them the best that we can in what the you know the ways that we feel are uh the best for them, you know.
- 58:58SPEAKER_03: And uh again, when they go back with mom, she kind of deals with it her, you know, what she does.
- 59:04SPEAKER_03: And I'm not included in a lot of things, you know, like I I'll find out things, you know, the day before, or uh if if if if you want to give you a funny little story about uh T ball, if uh if if we have time for it.
- 59:18SPEAKER_00: Go for it.
- 59:19SPEAKER_03: So yeah, uh uh the way our our parenting agreement is worked out, it's during stretches of the school year, uh, when there aren't many holidays and stuff.
- 59:29SPEAKER_03: I'm you know, I'm every other weekend and you know, Wednesday nights is is my is my schedule.
- 59:34SPEAKER_03: So if there's not like a you know uh holiday week or if there's not like a you know standalone school holiday, uh it gets tough.
- 59:43SPEAKER_03: I feel like I don't see them for you know long periods of time.
- 59:46SPEAKER_03: And uh so I was uh one weekend we had the the boys with it was one of their friends from their class, it was their uh their birthday party.
- 59:55SPEAKER_03: We went to the birthday party, and uh the mom of of the the child whose birthday party was, you know, came up to us and said, Hey, you know, uh, did uh your son sign up for T-ball?
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, Oh, I I I don't know.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_03: I I gotta, you know, I'll spec I'll speak with his mom and we'll figure, you know, see.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_03: She goes, Oh no, no, I I I think I think he signed up, he's on the same team as my son.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Oh, okay, well, good.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_03: You know, what league is it?
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_03: And she told me the league, and we left.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_03: And then I I went and I said, Let me look this league up.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_03: And I looked up the league, and um, actually the president of the league was someone that I went to high school with.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_03: So I said, you know what, let me give him, you know, give him a call.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_03: And so I give him a call and I say, you know, hey, um, is my son is he on a team already?
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_03: Does he have a coach?
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_03: And he's like, Yeah, we have him placed.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_03: I go, could can I get could I get edited as a like an assistant coach to the team?
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_03: And he goes, Yeah, we we could still add you.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_03: He goes, but even better, if you want, I'll make you the head coach of the team, you know, we'll move him over.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_03: And I said, I would love to do that.
- 1:00:55SPEAKER_03: That'd be that'd be excellent.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_03: So so I became the head coach of the team, unbeknownst to my ex-wife, uh, who found out about it, you know, via email, you know, from the league that you've been placed on Coach Coffin's uh T-ball team.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_03: And I was so that was like kind of my way of getting more time with the kids, is not you know, they go to T-ball and I would be able to see them, you know, twice a week or three sometimes you know, three times a week, we had games.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_03: Um, and so that's kind of a good example of how our co-parenting is working.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_03: Me trying to find ways and uh you know, get get get into their lives as much as I possibly can.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_00: And I just want people to realize this too.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_00: Everyone's like, well, how come you got 80% when um if you believe in you know a parent should have you know both parents?
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: And uh people need to realize too that there are not good parents out there.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_00: And the the majority of the time, the people that aren't good parents, they just want the kids just so they don't have to either pay child support or hurt the other parent.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_00: Um my ex did not want to be a father.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_00: The only time he had when he had the kids, he had a nanny watch him or girlfriend.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_00: He and then he never wanted them.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_00: Um he stood stood us up all the time.
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_00: And I had five and five years, three kids in one year.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_00: And so they were all little.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_00: I had newborn twins, uh, one-year-old, three-year-old, and five-year-old, all of them and seven of them had ex left.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_00: So he was not wanting to be a father.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_00: And that's where I said, okay, you know, and um, but wasn't until the kids were my twins were 10, so the youngest was 10 on up.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_00: He moved closer and he had a wife that stole my kids, but that's a whole other story.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_00: Um, but he wanted it.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_00: And so I said, okay, 50 for 50, because then I'm like, they're older now, you know.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_00: So then I did it.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_00: But um, but he did the same thing.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_00: He went on my son's baseball team and became a coach, uh, which I was fine with.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_00: I thought it was cool.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_00: Um, I was proud of it.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_00: It was awesome for my son.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_00: Um, but one the reason to bring this up is because anytime my ex wanted my son to go to the Chiefs game or to go to a car show for the weekend, even though it's my weekend, I let my son go.
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_00: I let my boys go or girls.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_00: Um this daddy-daughter dance.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_00: It was my weekend that they, yeah, they can go.
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_00: So I never withheld my children from things if he asked to do things with them.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 1:03:06SPEAKER_00: Has that ever happened in your situation?
- 1:03:11SPEAKER_03: Um I'll take off of work to attend a uh a father-son event at my son's school, which is like anywhere between 30 to 45 minutes long.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_03: And then um, if I ask for any time after that, like, hey, you know, we we live about um an hour, an hour and a half away.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_03: Um we were.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_03: Uh so for me to, you know, I'm taking off of work and then I'm you know driving an hour and a half to my son's school, uh, you know, I'm I'm hoping that I could spend the rest of the afternoon with them.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_03: You know, I'm out there and you know, uh, like so like there hasn't been that much uh cooperation in terms of in terms of that.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_03: Like I I've asked, I asked for, I just ask for it just so it's asked, just so I can say I at least I asked, but I asked for additional time all the time.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_03: And uh it's not usually granted.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_03: Um there's you know some issues that are being worked on, hopefully, by the court now, where you know, I'm asking for more time, and then my kids are coming and telling me that they're being put with you know a babysitter.
- 1:04:17SPEAKER_03: It's not even like they're with their mom, they're with uh just a random person when they can be with their dad.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_03: Like I was off the whole summer, there was no teaching.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_03: And there is multiple accounts of my kids with babysitters all the time, and it's like it's you know frustrating and you kind of just I get it.
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_00: My ex, um, him and his wife went through troubles, and um she moved out and bought her own house.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_00: And so when the kids went to their dad's that weekend, she wasn't there, but my twins went and spent the weekend with her at her house for the whole weekend.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_00: Um, and I never threw a fit about it.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_00: But um that's yeah, it's just anyway.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, so Brittany, with everything that you've learned, what hey, do you okay?
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_00: Do you think this has strengthened your relationship?
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_00: Give me some goods and bads about it.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_01: I think it's made me think more about like the the reactions I want to have with things, like just because somebody else is doing something one way doesn't mean that you know you have to react or stoop down to their level.
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_01: Like it uh maybe has made me a little bit more patient, and it also has taught me a lot about like who Sean is as a person, and um I I think it's definitely strengthened our relationship.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_01: Um we we've literally went through the the gauntlet together.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_01: Um it's it's definitely strengthened our relationship, but it also takes a lot of time away from us.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_01: Um But yeah, uh I'm I'm not as eloquent as Sean.
- 1:05:56SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm not I'm not great at this, but um You are too.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_01: You're great.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_03: There there was one point, I think, when I was like towards the end of the book, and I think Brittany had like had enough of me having my face in the laptop, and she's like, I'm sick of seeing that laptop.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_03: You know, like it was nothing more than that, but yeah.
- 1:06:16SPEAKER_03: And that's okay.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, me too.
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_01: Sometimes, like, you know, you just have to when I voice things, there's there's not any lag in uh response to Sean.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_01: Like he's he's great.
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_01: Phenomenal as a partner.
- 1:06:32SPEAKER_01: So honestly, like it's like I said earlier, it's it's it's kind of insane how m how well he's able to compartmentalize like the struggle that he goes through.
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_01: And I mean I go through it too.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_01: It's definitely it's definitely taking a toll on some aspects.
- 1:06:49SPEAKER_01: And I mean the the negatives is like it's kind of coming to terms with that the fact that there's people out there like that.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_01: That like would knowingly create narratives that aren't true to keep uh children from their father like that.
- 1:07:07SPEAKER_01: That to me was a lot to digest and come to terms with.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_03: From my vantage point, I I I think Britney is in a tough position of like having at least me, and even now I I represent myself pro se and I'm I'm able to speak for myself.
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_03: Like it it seems you know, Brittany at times is she's alone for the ride, she's feeling what I'm feeling, feeling the injustice that I'm feeling, and probably doesn't ever have an opportunity to voice that, you know, or like you know it's just being helpless, you know.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_01: Like it's it's hard to see Sean kind of get hurt when things don't go the way that we want them to.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_01: It's hard to see him get beat up in court, but I mean he's he's he's also had you know a lot of triumphs through it all too.
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_00: So well, I will say um it's gonna get it's gonna get harder with the kids as they get older.
- 1:08:12unknown: Yeah.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_00: And um especially with teenage, I thought I was in the clear and I had 10 years, wonder 10 wonderful years with my kids, 80%.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_00: Um, then um the manipulation goes on the children, not you know, it was your mom.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_00: Uh so watch out for that.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_00: And then also it was that's why I wanted Mandy on.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_00: Her ex was gone through the same thing, and Mandy's Brittany, right?
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_00: Uh now the uh his her, sorry, her husband's ex is now trying to get the stepdad to adopt the daughter, the daughter.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_00: So they're fighting that, and I can see that happening in my case.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_00: So just be prepared, you know.
- 1:08:52SPEAKER_00: But that's why it's important.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_00: I think we all come together and get to know each other and stand together.
- 1:08:57SPEAKER_00: So Mandy's working really hard on stopping that.
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_00: That's in November, and um, we all are learning, but it does get a lot harder as the kids get older with the manipulation.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_00: Uh, so it is good that you guys have each other, though.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_00: I didn't have a partner in life because he blocked mine, kind of like you guys are lucky you didn't, but I had to get rid of the guy I was dating for four or five years.
- 1:09:21SPEAKER_00: Um but with that said, you're pro se.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_00: You've learned to do this.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_00: You wrote a book.
- 1:09:29SPEAKER_00: Wow, good job.
- 1:09:31SPEAKER_00: And I'm really glad you get to see your children.
- 1:09:34SPEAKER_00: And it's kind of Shannon, the civil rights attorney that's a part of our coalition, she had the same thing almost happen to her and her kids when she went through her divorce, and I didn't, thank goodness.
- 1:09:44SPEAKER_00: But she says she does every day she has when she has her kids, she's constantly just thankful for it because she knows there's thousands of other children that don't have their kids, parents that don't have their kids.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_00: So um, Brittany, what is one thing you would tell a pair a person that's maybe dating somebody that is in a high conflict situation like this, or that's being completely blindwashed by the courts not taking care of or protecting a father's rights?
- 1:10:12SPEAKER_00: So, what if I was dating a guy?
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_00: What is one thing you would tell that guy, hey, this is a good idea, bad idea, run for the hills, or um buckle up.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_01: Um, I I think you really you you got a citation and um also you're you're gonna you're gonna find out your partner's true colors.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_01: So I mean there is that bright side of it.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_01: Um but I I you really I think buckle up is what I tell them.
- 1:10:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, get ready.
- 1:10:49SPEAKER_00: Um are you guys gonna have children of your own or no?
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_00: Don't you love that question?
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay.
- 1:10:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, yeah.
- 1:10:58SPEAKER_01: I'm cool with it.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_00: I thought about it.
- 1:11:01SPEAKER_00: Like when all this happened to me, because I had my last one, I was 30.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_00: So I'd so I haven't, you know, it's been 13 years since I had a child.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_00: Um, my girlfriends, when all this happened to me, because they know how much I love being a mom and how much I love my children and how invested I was in my kids' um lives.
- 1:11:17SPEAKER_00: Uh because like my kids never saw a man on my bed ever.
- 1:11:21SPEAKER_00: This whole because that's I kept it very good.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_00: Cause and because they don't remember their father, because my my oldest was five.
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_00: Uh so no one even saw they've always seen me as a single mom.
- 1:11:31SPEAKER_00: And I wanted it that way until they're teenagers.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_00: But uh, my girlfriends are like, you should just start over, find a good man, and have a baby.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm four at the time, I'm like, I'm 41.
- 1:11:41SPEAKER_00: Or you know, um, but now I'm like, maybe, can I have a give over, please?
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_01: Never too late to start again.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_00: I hear people are starting pretty late.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_01: Through it all, Jack and James definitely like they're little balls of sunshine.
- 1:12:00SPEAKER_01: Like they make they make everything so easy.
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_01: And I mean, obviously, Sean does too.
- 1:12:04SPEAKER_01: They're they make it worth it, but oh my god.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_01: Like a part of me, I hope I'm not naive in saying this, but I feel like we have such a good bond that hopefully the the teenage years don't don't go.
- 1:12:18SPEAKER_00: Boys are easier than girls.
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_00: Boys are easier than girls, and you're since he they're that's their dad, their real dad, it'll be way easier.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_00: Um, I will say the girls are hard.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_00: So if you get pregnant with a girl, you might reach out to me.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_00: But my yeah, girls are hard.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_00: I have identical twin girls too.
- 1:12:34SPEAKER_00: Um, and they were just getting to the 10-year-old phase where they started like, Mom, why are you wearing that?
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_00: Mom, why are you doing that?
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_00: You know, um, and so now they're 13, they just turned 13, and I'm missing all the I missed everything, the period, everything, you know.
- 1:12:48SPEAKER_00: Um, but I know one day they'll come back, and they only live a mile that way.
- 1:12:53SPEAKER_00: Um but so well, I've really enjoyed you guys.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_00: You guys are a wonderful, wonderful couple.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_00: And if you want any advice from me, I would really just talk about your relationship and you know, going through after and trying to be a parent with your, you know, trying to have a relationship while you're going through this is a great thing you should talk about too to people.
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_00: Because a lot of people, I mean, this our our social, I always call it our social media because it's everyone's stories, but um and people's stories, but it's up to 280,000 followers combined, and that is because that's how many people are hurting and going through this.
- 1:13:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it's it's a huge subject that people like you guys can talk about, and especially since you've never been married, Brittany, there's gonna be a lot of those stories out there.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_00: So um also, I don't know, Sean, if you have heard about the coalition that we're doing.
- 1:13:51SPEAKER_03: I I I've uh took the survey um on the stand with Meg uh Okay, so we started, it's called Join the Coalition.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_00: So um we have eight attorneys now partnered with us.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_00: We have a civil rights attorney, we have criminal attorneys, we have um immigrant attorneys, and we are meeting once a week, and we have a whole coalition of other people, psychiatrists, we're trying to get some more doctors, but we have nurses, teachers all coming together.
- 1:14:18SPEAKER_00: And uh what we're doing is we are called, it's called we're partnered with Shannon, which is a civil rights attorney.
- 1:14:23SPEAKER_00: It's called the Due Process Project in Washington State.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_00: But it's really cool because we're now getting a we have attorneys with us to fight for our freedoms of speech, to fight together.
- 1:14:33SPEAKER_00: So we just had a Zoom meeting.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_00: We have a Zoom once a week just with just the attorneys.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_00: They all get on and talk.
- 1:14:37SPEAKER_00: We have one from California, North Dakota, North Carolina.
- 1:14:41SPEAKER_00: You know, we just had a New York attorney reach out to be on the show, and I'm talking to him to be on the coalition.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_00: And so I really encourage you guys both to do it because what that will, what we're doing is we are hitting the system in all different areas.
- 1:14:56SPEAKER_00: So, Sean Lee, if you haven't watched the fraud stuff, Mandy, my friend Mandy, finally took my good friend Mandy finally watched the episodes on YouTube and it's on my website.
- 1:15:08SPEAKER_00: But I said, You're driving five hours with your husband somewhere.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_00: Finally listen to this, please.
- 1:15:12SPEAKER_00: She's met him.
- 1:15:14SPEAKER_00: And all day on Saturday night, oh my gosh, May, I have so we have so much fraud, so much fraud in the case against the therapist, you know.
- 1:15:22SPEAKER_00: Uh, you could be the private investigator.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_00: So it's taking the it's taking your brains like you can't do lawsuits anymore, right?
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_00: Because the two-year thing.
- 1:15:31SPEAKER_00: Well, criminals are different, it's way longer.
- 1:15:34SPEAKER_00: And sh and Sean has been provenly showing us GILs are getting arrested, detectives are getting arrested, judges, uh, attorneys.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_00: My ex, I'm going to do one.
- 1:15:46SPEAKER_00: Um, people like my ex, I mean, you know, do lies, those lies.
- 1:15:50SPEAKER_00: And uh, that's where I really, if you are pro se and you have time to learn, the Sean night Mandy was just like she she only got to episode six, and she couldn't sleep the last bell of the night because she couldn't believe how much.
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_00: So, I don't know if you know, fraud this year on July 6th was the first time our come our country put in fraud prosecutors in every state as of July 6th.
- 1:16:14SPEAKER_00: So this is all new.
- 1:16:16SPEAKER_00: So Sean teaches us how to look at what's wire fraud, money fraud, all of that.
- 1:16:22SPEAKER_00: You have so much fraud within the money, wire fraud.
- 1:16:25SPEAKER_00: And you know what the it's called, it's 18, and he drilled me like this on last night with the attorney calls.
- 1:16:31SPEAKER_00: It's USA 18, it's 18 section 1343, and we talk about this, but you know what?
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_00: Per violation, per violation, one million dollar charge, plus up to 30 years in jail, prison.
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_00: Wow, per violation.
- 1:16:53SPEAKER_00: Meaning, how many lies did they say about you?
- 1:16:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:16:59SPEAKER_00: So yeah, um, and even the episode he shows how a GAL had 23 counts.
- 1:17:07SPEAKER_00: That means 23 times a million, 23 times 30 years.
- 1:17:13SPEAKER_00: How long is this person gonna be in jail?
- 1:17:15SPEAKER_00: And that's what Sean's trying to teach all of us.
- 1:17:18SPEAKER_00: He is he's a very big criminal attorney, but he also is big on um this horrible thing at family court, how it just ruins people's lives.
- 1:17:27SPEAKER_00: So think of it like that, because everyone's like, I'm gonna sue, I'm gonna sue.
- 1:17:31SPEAKER_00: You can, but here's a way Sean's doing it.
- 1:17:33SPEAKER_00: It's even better because you don't have the FBI go after them or the DOJ.
- 1:17:38SPEAKER_00: All you get, and all you have to do is put together a complaint.
- 1:17:40SPEAKER_00: And he gives you it, he gives all this proof of it people have done it and it's working.
- 1:17:45SPEAKER_00: Um, and so on my website, you go to salesmate.com, go to the the Sean Lee Report, click on that, and you'll see every episode I put up there of us talking.
- 1:17:54SPEAKER_00: So it'd be kind of like he's teaching me something, and I didn't know it was gonna teach me.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_00: And so I ask normal questions, kind of like Britney would be like, what?
- 1:18:01SPEAKER_00: Um, because I'm like, what?
- 1:18:02SPEAKER_00: Um, but under it, I have every document he talks about, and every proof and every complaint and how to do it, it's amazing.
- 1:18:09SPEAKER_00: So go check that out because I think you have a lot that you could do.
- 1:18:15SPEAKER_00: And um, and you're you just it's on podcasts, it's all podcasts.
- 1:18:20SPEAKER_00: We just had 10,000 downloads the other day.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_00: It's the Stand With Make show.
- 1:18:24SPEAKER_00: Go to my website, it's on YouTube, you can have it watch it.
- 1:18:27SPEAKER_00: But take the time to really do that.
- 1:18:29SPEAKER_00: Because if you're smart enough to write a book and you're pro se, you could write a lot of complaints.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_00: I'm building mine.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:18:35SPEAKER_00: But here, I'll show you.
- 1:18:36SPEAKER_00: Ready?
- 1:18:36SPEAKER_00: This is what he taught us.
- 1:18:39unknown: Wow.
- 1:18:40SPEAKER_00: So every week he would come here and we do an episode and he would show me proof.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_00: And it not he didn't just he didn't just say, Oh, do this because of this law.
- 1:18:50SPEAKER_00: No, he showed the law or the rule, and then he had an example of it happening and it went through.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_00: So it's not like this, yeah.
- 1:18:58SPEAKER_00: And so even last night with the other attorneys, he was trying to teach them.
- 1:19:02SPEAKER_00: He's trying to because no one I talked to a criminal attorney in North Dakota, shouldn't even know about this.
- 1:19:06SPEAKER_00: So he's big on all this because he's that's what's his background.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_00: So um, so I pushed that for you because I think that's where you're gonna get a lot of awesome stuff.
- 1:19:16SPEAKER_03: Nice, yeah, that's that's I would I wouldn't even have ever known about this, you know.
- 1:19:21SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:19:21SPEAKER_00: Well, um, please go check that out because even mainly my best friend that I've been filming here since July with him, you know, and she here talks to me every day.
- 1:19:30SPEAKER_00: She finally did it and she was like, Why have I not done this sooner?
- 1:19:33SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I know, no one's doing it.
- 1:19:35SPEAKER_00: It's like 200 views on YouTube, you know.
- 1:19:39SPEAKER_00: Um and he teaches so well.
- 1:19:41SPEAKER_00: Like he's he's not a person that talks over your head.
- 1:19:43SPEAKER_00: He's really, really, really good.
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_00: So I'm trying to get that out there more.
- 1:19:47SPEAKER_00: So I've been focusing more on showing that.
- 1:19:49SPEAKER_00: Um, and then I'm gonna walk into the FBI with that big old folder, and you can make your own too, like this.
- 1:19:54SPEAKER_00: Um, because I put it all on there, you can download it.
- 1:19:56SPEAKER_00: So and he's like, Megan, you go in with your complaint and you pass this big old folder to the FBI and show them this is what's happening.
- 1:20:03SPEAKER_00: Um, and here's all the laws and stuff to go with it.
- 1:20:06SPEAKER_00: So let's go get them.
- 1:20:07SPEAKER_03: I would love, I would love to do that.
- 1:20:09SPEAKER_01: I would yeah, that'd be more even more cathartic.
- 1:20:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because that's one thing, Sean.
- 1:20:16SPEAKER_00: It took me a long time to understand it.
- 1:20:17SPEAKER_00: But Sean goes, Megan, picture your GL or picture your therapist or your ex getting arrested, their house shut down, they're sold, the car's gone, and they're in jail.
- 1:20:25SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh and you get a million dollars for violation.
- 1:20:29SPEAKER_00: There was a couple, uh husband and wife in Texas just uh at the end of August filed a complaint, and the next day the DOJ arrested that that attorney, and it's a 44-year-old woman.
- 1:20:40SPEAKER_02: Wow, and you know what she did?
- 1:20:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, she go ahead.
- 1:20:46SPEAKER_01: No, you go.
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_00: She the attorney told his people that are trying to get their their immigrant immigration attorney, she told them they had to do these certain steps to with the state to get their um green card or whatever, the citizenship.
- 1:21:01SPEAKER_00: And that was a lie.
- 1:21:02SPEAKER_00: They that she lied to them.
- 1:21:04SPEAKER_00: That's how she's and she got charged.
- 1:21:06SPEAKER_00: She's out on bail right now, but she's got court.
- 1:21:09SPEAKER_00: And then I can I mean I can keep going.
- 1:21:10SPEAKER_00: It's all in there.
- 1:21:13SPEAKER_01: I am I'm sure I'm sure you'd love to know this, and maybe don't put it on the show though.
- 1:21:18SPEAKER_01: But uh his his ex is dating her attorney.
- 1:21:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, you can put it on the show.
- 1:21:25SPEAKER_00: His ex is dating her attorney.
- 1:21:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:21:29SPEAKER_00: Okay, so there for a long time.
- 1:21:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that there's one example you need to go listen to.
- 1:21:34SPEAKER_00: A judge was dating an attorney, and they were they have proof that those two were putting cases together so they could work together, and they both the judges got the charged, and he she got in huge trouble.
- 1:21:47SPEAKER_00: The judge did, and the attorney.
- 1:21:49SPEAKER_01: But and like the Sean filed something about it, but like at the time the judges were changing, so it kind of just like slipped under the cracks, and like they just the judge was like, uh, I I this is the first time I'm beating you.
- 1:22:01SPEAKER_03: I don't I'm I'm not dealing with this right now.
- 1:22:03SPEAKER_03: Like, right.
- 1:22:04SPEAKER_00: So just think about going to the yeah, think about going to the FBI and Sean teaches you.
- 1:22:08SPEAKER_00: Go to the police station, go to the sheriff's office, go to the state patrol, go to FBI, file the same complaint, and then you call up and ask where the detective is, he's so good.
- 1:22:16SPEAKER_00: And this and um and make sure.
- 1:22:18SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, it's fraud.
- 1:22:19SPEAKER_00: It is illegal, illegal what they're doing.
- 1:22:22SPEAKER_00: And until we all teach each other how to report it now that we have the prosecutors, um nothing's gonna work.
- 1:22:29SPEAKER_00: And so you just got a big old gold ticket right there, okay?
- 1:22:35SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 1:22:35SPEAKER_00: And um join the coalition because what we're gonna start doing, I know you have school, but we're gonna start doing um weekly daily, uh it's called the coalition lunch table, where I'm starting the East Coast, let's say on just on Monday, at noon, anyone can come on Zoom, you can go into the fraud comfort room and you can talk to other people that are learning the fraud, and you can bring ideas off.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_00: Or if you're upset and you want to go talk with somebody that has dealt with it, or we could even have people like Britney that wants to just have somebody that's going gone through what you've gone through to that to vent to.
- 1:23:07SPEAKER_00: But we're trying to do it every day at noon, so then Tuesday would be you know central, but anyone can get on and whenever.
- 1:23:13SPEAKER_00: So like but I'm trying to do that so that's kind of like a support system, but also a learning tool so people can get together.
- 1:23:19SPEAKER_00: Um, we I thought of that because a few weeks ago we had the coalition and we have Zoom every um every Sunday.
- 1:23:25SPEAKER_00: We have the attorneys all get on together at five, and I mute them, and then I'm bringing certain people in that have they're not attorneys, but yet they're smart enough to work with them.
- 1:23:32SPEAKER_00: And then we have everyone else get on at um 6:30 my time.
- 1:23:37SPEAKER_00: And then I just finally there, you could tell they're all talking, and I had to go take care of my chickens and stuff.
- 1:23:41SPEAKER_00: I said, You can just have fun.
- 1:23:42SPEAKER_00: I'll just stay here.
- 1:23:43SPEAKER_00: So I left, went right outside.
- 1:23:45SPEAKER_00: I come in, they're all just talking, and this man's helping this woman from different state, and she was saying how she has not, you know, she's all by herself, no one understands, and they just kept talking.
- 1:23:52SPEAKER_00: And I mixed dinner and ate dinner, and and then finally they you could say they take they say goodbye.
- 1:23:58SPEAKER_00: And I was like, you know, this is worse.
- 1:24:00SPEAKER_00: Almost, it's like AA.
- 1:24:02SPEAKER_00: It's like alcohol, like you know, you need a support group, you need people.
- 1:24:06SPEAKER_00: Uh, so that's what I was really we're gonna start launching it.
- 1:24:10SPEAKER_00: But I'm you know, we want to have maybe one day, Sean.
- 1:24:12SPEAKER_00: You you can take over, you can run the whole thing and say, hey guys, you know, because I want everybody to, if you want to be a part, that's I want someone that's speaks well to run it, but I'll do a day.
- 1:24:22SPEAKER_00: Mandy's gonna do a day if someone like like you, Sean might do a day, the attorney.
- 1:24:27SPEAKER_00: Um so and also, I don't know if you have any money, but you can also talk to Sean, email Sean or you we're what we're trying to do is get attorneys in every state that was going to learn about what Sean's teaching so that they can then do it, help you guys in your state.
- 1:24:42SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's our other mission.
- 1:24:44SPEAKER_00: So Sean is doing the fraud, and then Shannon, the attorney, on is doing the due process project.
- 1:24:49SPEAKER_00: And so we're kind of going all avenues.
- 1:24:52SPEAKER_00: I have other projects I'm working on.
- 1:24:54SPEAKER_00: So we have the show me the money where we have proof of the title 4D, all that stuff.
- 1:25:00SPEAKER_00: But uh so anyway, it's been cool to have all the attorneys talk on the phone and have them all bounce ideas off each other.
- 1:25:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're doing amazing work.
- 1:25:09SPEAKER_01: That's that's seriously I think you're sweet.
- 1:25:13SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, I mean, I think a lot of people go through these tough situations, but uh like make for you to to come and uh to set these systems up, you know, that are making real change is uh I I have so much respect for you and and and what you've done.
- 1:25:29SPEAKER_03: It's it's really truly amazing and it and it's helping so many people, which is the best.
- 1:25:34SPEAKER_00: Well, you're sweet.
- 1:25:34SPEAKER_00: It's it's ours.
- 1:25:36SPEAKER_00: I say it's our social service it's our social media, it's our survey, it's not me.
- 1:25:41SPEAKER_00: I would not have been like this if it wasn't God says you get up and you do this.
- 1:25:46SPEAKER_00: And you know, when I first started making my reels, I would pray over my reels.
- 1:25:49SPEAKER_00: And I would, I don't know if you guys are Christians, but I am.
- 1:25:51SPEAKER_00: And I'd be like, Lord Jesus, if you want us to get big, to change this, put a voice for people that don't have no voice, please, Lord.
- 1:25:58SPEAKER_00: And it just started growing and God has just taken it on.
- 1:26:01SPEAKER_00: So it's not when God says, Megan, you make this real.
- 1:26:03SPEAKER_00: I used to be like, Oh, really?
- 1:26:04SPEAKER_00: And now I'm like, Okay, fine.
- 1:26:07SPEAKER_02: I'll do it.
- 1:26:08SPEAKER_00: You know, um, but yeah, it's funny because sometimes you work so hard on one reel, like hours, right?
- 1:26:14SPEAKER_00: And then you just do one real quick in the car or something, and that gets way bigger, you know, better.
- 1:26:19SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 1:26:20SPEAKER_00: Well, you're very good on camera too, Sean.
- 1:26:22SPEAKER_00: So I encourage you to grow.
- 1:26:24SPEAKER_00: I will try to support you as much as I can.
- 1:26:26SPEAKER_00: I don't have time to check a lot of um stuff on social because I'm so busy doing everything else.

- 1:26:51SPEAKER_00: I don't this is not going on the record.
- 1:26:53SPEAKER_00: Um it they're just so angry or hateful, and I'm trying to come across this with just class and factual, and this is what's happening, not um you mother, you know, not uh we're we're we're classy, right?
- 1:27:06SPEAKER_00: Exposing.
- 1:27:07SPEAKER_00: I'll talk bad about a court judge all day long, a G A L, you know, uh a whore a bad parent, but I'm not I'm gonna be classy doing it.
- 1:27:13SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense?
- 1:27:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, sure.

- 1:27:37SPEAKER_03: Sure.
- 1:27:38SPEAKER_03: I'm uh on all social media across the board.

- 1:27:50SPEAKER_00: So there's one handle, everybody.
- 1:27:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, just one.

- 1:28:05SPEAKER_03: So you type in resenting joy, you'll find me anywhere.
- 1:28:09SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 1:28:10SPEAKER_00: Well, what is one thing you want to leave telling people, telling our viewers um about the biggest thing you learned and the one thing you regret during this process?
- 1:28:22SPEAKER_03: Um sure.
- 1:28:24SPEAKER_03: The one thing uh I regret is probably thinking that other people will do the right thing when there's times that their true colors will be will come out in these tough kind of these situations, you know, and and not everyone's true colors are are pretty colors, you know.
- 1:28:41SPEAKER_03: Some of them are kind of ugly.
- 1:28:43SPEAKER_03: Um and you know, you have to expect that you're gonna encounter and deal with people that are gonna show you some ugly colors uh when you're going through a tough custody issue like like like something like this.
- 1:28:55SPEAKER_03: Uh the I would like to, and it's the biggest thing, and I've I've people I've had friends going through similar situations or tough divorces that I've kind of helped coach through a little bit.
- 1:29:06SPEAKER_03: And uh the biggest thing I tell them is you may not have control over a lot of things that happen.
- 1:29:12SPEAKER_03: Uh you don't have control over the false allegations, but the one thing you do have control over is how you show up as a father uh every single day, you know, and stand by your morals, stand by your values, uh, and don't don't even waver an inch from them, you know.
- 1:29:28SPEAKER_03: And that's some some people have to realize like your morals and values are when you're by yourself, you know, when nobody's looking, you know, um living your life aligned to what you believe in and what you think is right.
- 1:29:42SPEAKER_03: And and if if you do that, I think that uh in the end, uh children will will realize that they they realize authenticity and they realize love.
- 1:29:51SPEAKER_03: You know, love is a is an energy that is everyone can understand, you know, no matter what the language is, you know, culture, you know, love is you know a feeling that you can it's palpable, it comes off of people and they don't even have to say anything and you can feel it.
- 1:30:05SPEAKER_03: So yeah, that I would tell people just stick to stick to what you believe and and don't waver an inch.
- 1:30:12SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:30:12SPEAKER_00: Well, Brittany, thank you for joining us today and being vulnerable on here.
- 1:30:17SPEAKER_00: Is there one thing that you would um like to end with as one thing you have learned to do every day with your partner?
- 1:30:26SPEAKER_01: Um try to try to still make time for each other.
- 1:30:30SPEAKER_01: I think like that's an obstacle, and if you're able to to you know still have each other through the hard times, it it helps a lot.
- 1:30:38SPEAKER_01: So try to try to have fun still and try to find the good and stuff.
- 1:30:42SPEAKER_00: So well, good.
- 1:30:43SPEAKER_00: Well, you guys are gonna be the best looking babies I would ever vote for.
