Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Two teas in a pod, which Teddy Mellencamp and cam
- 0:06Speaker 1: Ridge Edge.
- 0:14Speaker 2: All right, so I am back with my co host
- 0:17Speaker 2: of Today because Tam is still in the dang hospital,
- 0:21Speaker 2: still doesn't need surgery, so that's great. But Emily and
- 0:24Speaker 2: I will be Emily and I. Who am I right?
- 0:28Speaker 2: That's correct, Emily and Okay, Emily and I will be
- 0:31Speaker 2: recapping Real Housewives of New York and Real Housewives Assault
- 0:35Speaker 2: Lake City.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Let's start with New York. Yes, So it starts off,
- 0:40Speaker 3: which it's pretty much. I love these episodes where it's
- 0:43Speaker 3: everybody just recapping people on what they missed because they
- 0:47Speaker 3: had COVID or they were in Scotland or whatever it is.
- 0:50Speaker 2: So that was the first half of the episode. But
- 0:53Speaker 2: Jessel tells Jenna that she and Pavitt finally did the
- 0:57Speaker 2: deed Side tells Aaron on FaceTime that it took Jessel
- 1:02Speaker 2: twenty five minutes to warm up down there. Okay, My
- 1:05Speaker 2: question for you is, are the women too invested in
- 1:08Speaker 2: Jessel's sex life? How much interest would you have if
- 1:12Speaker 2: you were on the cast?
- 1:14Speaker 4: I mean, I do find it interesting, and I do
- 1:16Speaker 4: feel like when you're on a show, you're on a cast.
- 1:18Speaker 4: You're talking about your life, you're talking about your sex life.
- 1:21Speaker 4: I feel like you're opening the door for other people
- 1:23Speaker 4: to comment and have conversations about it. So I don't
- 1:25Speaker 4: have a problem with that. I guess my real question is,
- 1:30Speaker 4: did she really not have sex for that long and
- 1:32Speaker 4: then when she's filming a TV show they finally had sex?
- 1:34Speaker 4: Like I just have a hard time wrapping my brain
- 1:36Speaker 4: around that.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Well, I just kind of think she should get shirts
- 1:39Speaker 3: made for all the women that say Jessel and Povet
- 1:43Speaker 3: And all I got was this T shirt.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Yeah that's good.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I mean I like that too, Like or I just
- 1:50Speaker 2: I mean, maybe you can start to suspend your belief
- 1:53Speaker 2: and be like, Okay, maybe it just forced them to
- 1:56Speaker 2: start talking about it, because I'm sure when she first
- 1:58Speaker 2: brought it up, it wasn't a fully planned that it
- 2:01Speaker 2: was going to have such a big reaction, and then
- 2:02Speaker 2: once it did, yea, it became this whole to do.
- 2:07Speaker 4: So basically they got like pressured into having sex. They
- 2:10Speaker 4: were like, we have to, like it's tough for the
- 2:12Speaker 4: season's over, Yeah, for the finale episode, we have to
- 2:15Speaker 4: have sex.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Yes, They're like, in some way, somehow you're going to
- 2:19Speaker 2: get it in, but also which leads me to the
- 2:22Speaker 2: next question about warming up down there?
- 2:26Speaker 4: What does that mean? I don't.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Some people really need a lot of foreplay. I am
- 2:34Speaker 2: not necessarily one of those people. As long as you're
- 2:38Speaker 2: just nice to me and we're connected in some capacity.
- 2:43Speaker 4: I'm like, whata'ts your foreplay? You just want like like
- 2:46Speaker 4: a candy bar and like you look pretty and you're
- 2:49Speaker 4: good to go like this, bring me a package of
- 2:51Speaker 4: twizzlers and tell me I'm hot.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Like like I don't like I Essentially, I just don't
- 2:57Speaker 2: want you to just stick it in, but I don't
- 3:00Speaker 2: need much more than that, like you look hot today,
- 3:04Speaker 2: or like something as simple as.
- 3:07Speaker 4: I found my iPad. Yeah, so like hot, Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 2: That's so hot, or like Teddy, thanks for finding my iPod,
- 3:14Speaker 2: iPad I wrote my iPod. It's now eighteen years ago.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Thanks for finding my iPad. I appreciate you. I love you.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Good to go, let's go. So I do wonder what
- 3:24Speaker 2: kind of warm up one takes, Like is it a
- 3:27Speaker 2: fitness warm up?
- 3:28Speaker 4: Is it is it like callis tenex where you're like stretching,
- 3:32Speaker 4: you're like doing squads or does.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It mean that he had to like go down on
- 3:35Speaker 2: her for twenty five minutes.
- 3:38Speaker 4: I don't know. I can't even picture that because he
- 3:39Speaker 4: seems very interested in just like sandwiches and champagas.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't picture him like putting in that kind
- 3:46Speaker 2: of work and for twenty five minutes. Like like my playlist,
- 3:51Speaker 2: My sex playlists are like eighteen minutes long, and those.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Wait, what's on your sex playlist? Like what songs?
- 3:57Speaker 2: I already gave so much? They're like the world's cheesiest
- 4:01Speaker 2: songs like party and say oh, I like like guns n' roses,
- 4:07Speaker 2: like every rose has a thorn.
- 4:09Speaker 4: You're like, yeah, oh, yeah, yeah, like the eighties like ballads,
- 4:14Speaker 4: like eighties rock ballads. Yeah, that's good sex music.
- 4:17Speaker 2: And like, I'm pretty much fine with anything as long
- 4:20Speaker 2: as it's not super emotional, I'm good to go. But
- 4:24Speaker 2: then Side tells Aaron that Pavit is going to Vietnam
- 4:27Speaker 2: for twenty four hours to rack up his flyer points.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Aaron says, when you add that to the lack of sex,
- 4:33Speaker 3: it makes things strange.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Do you think it?
- 4:37Speaker 3: Cy and Aaron are trying too hard to insinuate the
- 4:40Speaker 3: pavits cheating.
- 4:42Speaker 4: You know, I honestly previous to this episode, was kind
- 4:47Speaker 4: of on board with the whole like that's weird that
- 4:49Speaker 4: he's flying to Vietnam and they haven't had sex for
- 4:51Speaker 4: two years, and it kind of makes things seem strange,
- 4:54Speaker 4: and maybe he's getting a happy ending or something in Vietnam.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I don't know what's going on. But then after this episode,
- 5:02Speaker 4: they just reminded me so much of Shane and me, like,
- 5:04Speaker 4: I think Pom, it's just like Shane, Like I feel
- 5:06Speaker 4: like he's just like he doesn't really feed into the
- 5:08Speaker 4: whole filming or the other women. I don't think he
- 5:11Speaker 4: really cares, and I think they have a really solid relationship.
- 5:14Speaker 4: I actually really liked them this episode, and I thought
- 5:17Speaker 4: that they have such a grounded and good relationship that
- 5:21Speaker 4: I was like, she doesn't care that he's falling. I
- 5:22Speaker 4: wouldn't care if Shane wanted to fly somewhere and get
- 5:24Speaker 4: a sandwich. Like he's not cheating on me. I'm one
- 5:26Speaker 4: hundred percent sure of that it's not happening. I mean,
- 5:29Speaker 4: there are certain things.
- 5:30Speaker 2: That I care about, Like there are certain trips that
- 5:33Speaker 2: I would not particularly love, like I think it's this well,
- 5:36Speaker 2: it's not even trips like if Edwin picked up golf,
- 5:40Speaker 2: I'd be really freaking annoyed because not because of cheating,
- 5:43Speaker 2: but because golf is a really long sport. And I
- 5:46Speaker 2: think it, I mean because he's gone all day, all day,
- 5:49Speaker 2: like on a Sunday, Like men who play golf are
- 5:52Speaker 2: not like, that's not.
- 5:53Speaker 3: My love language.
- 5:54Speaker 4: So you like, he needs like a short hobby, a
- 5:56Speaker 4: short hobby like like air hockey.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yes, if he wants like in and out, if he
- 6:00Speaker 2: wants to go play an hour and a have pickleball game,
- 6:03Speaker 2: I'm fine with it. But if he wants to do
- 6:06Speaker 2: a full golf game.
- 6:08Speaker 3: You know what, that's a lot of hours and you
- 6:10Speaker 3: already work a lot.
- 6:11Speaker 2: That's an annoying. But if he wanted to fly to
- 6:13Speaker 2: go get a sandwich, I and I also think the
- 6:16Speaker 2: sandwich thing is taken out of context. I do think.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I mean as I said, and watch what Happens live
- 6:22Speaker 2: like they are trying to do something with the mileage.
- 6:26Speaker 2: It does come up.
- 6:27Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I'm not rich enough for that. I even have that
- 6:30Speaker 2: type of mileage. I'm just like flying Spirit airlines.
- 6:34Speaker 4: All right. Well, he did make a reel to explain
- 6:38Speaker 4: the airline situation, because I didn't really understand it, and
- 6:41Speaker 4: I kept asking Shane questions last night. I was like,
- 6:43Speaker 4: I don't get it. It's a voucher, Like if there
- 6:45Speaker 4: was COVID, he has to use it. It was fifteen
- 6:48Speaker 4: thousand dollars, but he got it for nine hundred. I'm confused.
- 6:51Speaker 4: So apparently Pobitt made a reel explaining it, and it
- 6:54Speaker 4: was just basically like something like he got a deal
- 6:56Speaker 4: on a first class flight that's normally fifteen thousand, but
- 6:58Speaker 4: he paid nine hundred with any got canceled because of COVID,
- 7:01Speaker 4: but now he can use it, but he doesn't know
- 7:03Speaker 4: exactly when he can use it. It's just whenever there's
- 7:05Speaker 4: like an extra seat, so you're just kind of waiting,
- 7:06Speaker 4: like on standby. It's like a.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Groupon for a flight to Vietnam. Yeah, like something like that,
- 7:11Speaker 2: And so it's going to expire at some point, right.
- 7:14Speaker 4: And so he has to use it. And I think
- 7:16Speaker 4: that's why she didn't really know the date, Like he's
- 7:18Speaker 4: probably like, Oh, if a seat opens up, i'll go
- 7:20Speaker 4: next week. So then she kills her friends, Oh he's
- 7:22Speaker 4: going to go next week. But I don't think she
- 7:23Speaker 4: was lying. I think she just really didn't care.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Yeah, like, whenever he's gonna go, he's gonna go. Then Aeron,
- 7:29Speaker 2: of course, is hosting a couple's night and the group
- 7:32Speaker 2: asks Pavit why he's going to Vietnam. Pavit says he
- 7:35Speaker 2: likes to get away and uses miles. Jessel says she
- 7:39Speaker 2: has never had friends so invested in her husband's travel schedule.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Do you think the husbands are getting too involved with
- 7:46Speaker 3: Pavit in Jessel's relationship the.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Husband, yeah, like because they're all now saying like, well,
- 7:53Speaker 2: that would mean that I'm this, that would mean I'm
- 7:55Speaker 2: doing that.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I think these husbands in this episode may have been overserved.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Touch.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Yeah. I just the way I took it was I
- 8:03Speaker 4: thought they were just having fun and making jokes, and
- 8:05Speaker 4: I felt like he was just playing along with it too.
- 8:08Speaker 4: I mean, I don't really think they think he's cheating
- 8:10Speaker 4: on her or anything like that. So I just felt
- 8:12Speaker 4: like they just had some drinks and they were just
- 8:14Speaker 4: making fun.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Like Also, I'm not I didn't take it.
- 8:16Speaker 4: I don't think it's that deep, Like it's it's not
- 8:18Speaker 4: that deep.
- 8:19Speaker 2: But then Si tells Jessel that she was offended at
- 8:22Speaker 2: their lunch when she brought up PSI's mom. Jessel says
- 8:25Speaker 2: she thought her experience with her uncle would relate to Si.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Si says she wants Jessel to be real and honest.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Jessel says she has never lied. SI says, you lied
- 8:33Speaker 2: when Paven was going to Vietnam. Jessel says she is
- 8:37Speaker 2: over this mean girl shit. SI says, you make no
- 8:40Speaker 2: sense when you speak, and you never answer questions. Do
- 8:43Speaker 2: you think that SI's frustrated with Jessel is like unwarranted
- 8:49Speaker 2: or do you think SI's just irritated that she brought
- 8:54Speaker 2: up her mother in the first place and is having
- 8:56Speaker 2: to re talk about it over and over again.
- 9:10Speaker 4: I really don't think it's justified. I actually felt badly
- 9:13Speaker 4: for Jessel. I felt like Si was just trying to
- 9:15Speaker 4: find any opportunity to jump on her and jump down
- 9:18Speaker 4: her throat. And then she kept saying, I didn't want
- 9:20Speaker 4: to go to lunch with you anyway. I didn't want
- 9:21Speaker 4: to be there. And I don't know, I just thought
- 9:23Speaker 4: it was I thought it was mean.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I you know, I did I find myself missing when
- 9:29Speaker 2: Si just complained about food.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I liked that better. I don't know. I felt
- 9:34Speaker 4: badly for Jessel. I felt like she did want to
- 9:36Speaker 4: have lunch. She showed up forty five minutes late. She
- 9:39Speaker 4: didn't want to have lunch on time, but she didn't
- 9:42Speaker 4: want to have lunch. No, but she's like, I was
- 9:44Speaker 4: just like fifteen minutes late.
- 9:46Speaker 3: But Si saying she doesn't put it air after bringing
- 9:50Speaker 3: up the subject.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Is very much the same as like a troll who
- 9:53Speaker 2: comes on to post on like your Instagram and then
- 9:57Speaker 2: says nobody cares.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Well, clearly you do because you're here.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Yeah, and you follow me idiots? Yeah, Like so I
- 10:05Speaker 4: like the people that always like like, they'll comment something
- 10:08Speaker 4: like you're irrelevant, and then I'll look and they follow me,
- 10:11Speaker 4: and I'm like, you're stupid. Then why are you following me?
- 10:14Speaker 4: Why are you following me and commenting and then telling
- 10:17Speaker 4: me I'm irrelevant?
- 10:18Speaker 2: It makes no sense. But then then they're at this couples,
- 10:23Speaker 2: which I found also interesting that this couple's place was
- 10:26Speaker 2: called Swingers. I didn't realize at first when they said swingers,
- 10:29Speaker 2: I was like, I got all perked up, and then
- 10:30Speaker 2: I was like, oh, yeah, it's like a golf reference. Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 2: mini golf, Uba says.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Ask the guys why they thought their wife was the one.
- 10:40Speaker 2: But the part that I also found confusing was everyone's
- 10:44Speaker 2: real rapped up about Pavitt's answer. But Pavitt's answer was
- 10:48Speaker 2: kind of the same as Abes. I actually thought it
- 10:51Speaker 2: just seemed yeah, I did one extra line in, but
- 10:54Speaker 2: pretty much like I want to live a good life,
- 10:57Speaker 2: have fun with my person.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Blah. I don't know. But after here, I took it
- 11:06Speaker 4: as I thought it was very I thought it was
- 11:08Speaker 4: a compliment. I thought he made a I mean, he
- 11:10Speaker 4: didn't say his best friend, but the way I took
- 11:12Speaker 4: it was like he married someone who was like his
- 11:15Speaker 4: best friend that he has fun with. They have children together,
- 11:18Speaker 4: and she lets him. And when he said she lets
- 11:21Speaker 4: me do what I want. I didn't take it as
- 11:22Speaker 4: like she like, I go out and cheat on her
- 11:24Speaker 4: and she ignores it. I took it as she doesn't
- 11:28Speaker 4: try to make him into someone he isn't like. She
- 11:30Speaker 4: lets him be him. He's a little quirky, he's a
- 11:33Speaker 4: little odd, but she she lets him be.
- 11:36Speaker 1: That, you know.
- 11:38Speaker 2: And then I also I've realized in this moment when
- 11:44Speaker 2: you see like Aaron's face with Abe and also Siz's husband,
- 11:50Speaker 2: like they're all at this point, they're all tuned in
- 11:54Speaker 2: and I feel like all their intends are up and
- 11:56Speaker 2: they're so excited to point out that Pavet and Jessla
- 11:59Speaker 2: are having issues, so like there's not going to be
- 12:01Speaker 2: any conversation about, you know, hearing from Aaron an Abbe
- 12:05Speaker 2: that they are considering threesomes or any of these other
- 12:08Speaker 2: things that have been discussed.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Well, poor Papa, he was just in a position where
- 12:12Speaker 4: it was a lose lose. I mean, he could have
- 12:13Speaker 4: said Jessel's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, and
- 12:16Speaker 4: they would have been like, oh, he's making that up.
- 12:17Speaker 4: He's just saying that to cover up for the fact
- 12:19Speaker 4: that he's flying to Vietnam.
- 12:20Speaker 2: But he's not wearing his wedding ring, even if he
- 12:22Speaker 2: hasn't worn it since after three weeks after they got married.
- 12:26Speaker 4: And Shane's never worn a wedding ring either, Just to
- 12:28Speaker 4: throw that out there, not one time in the fifteen
- 12:30Speaker 4: years we've been married. And I'm not worried the least bit.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Well Edwin lost his when we first got married.
- 12:36Speaker 4: He threw it.
- 12:38Speaker 2: He was throwing a folk at you. No, he was
- 12:41Speaker 2: throwing a football at my dad's house and the ring
- 12:43Speaker 2: fell off, and I cried and thought it was bad luck.
- 12:47Speaker 2: And then my little brothers had to go out with
- 12:49Speaker 2: like a little like gold minder and find the ring.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Like so, I'm weird about the wedding rings. I want
- 12:55Speaker 2: a wedding ring on.
- 12:56Speaker 3: But I think it's one thing if you wear a
- 12:58Speaker 3: wedding ring for a year and then you decide.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Not to, I think, yeah, that's you know, that's different.
- 13:05Speaker 2: But I think if you if your husband has never
- 13:07Speaker 2: worn a wedding ring, that's a decision that you make
- 13:10Speaker 2: from the beginning.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Yeah, he never has. It's never been an issue. But
- 13:14Speaker 4: what was povits? He had it and he lost it.
- 13:16Speaker 2: He lost two weeks after they got married.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Yeah, and how long have they been together?
- 13:20Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know. They've been best friends forever.
- 13:22Speaker 2: But do you think that this is the same that
- 13:24Speaker 2: Aaron that got pissed that Brend used the words divorce
- 13:27Speaker 2: at her Valnule is the Aaron who is insinuating someone
- 13:31Speaker 2: else's marriage is in trouble.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Like, yeah, I thought Aaron was the instigator. Like I
- 13:36Speaker 4: liked how she was. I mean, no, I didn't like,
- 13:38Speaker 4: but I found it interesting how she was listening to
- 13:41Speaker 4: the whole conversation, but then she just kept saying like,
- 13:43Speaker 4: I agree with Cy, I'm sighting with Cy. I'm like
- 13:47Speaker 4: she was team Sigh, no matter what happened or what
- 13:49Speaker 4: anybody said.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Yeah. And then but then we get to we get
- 13:54Speaker 2: past this this meal which Uba is now showing Si
- 13:59Speaker 2: her boyfriend, which she's not showing to the other girls,
- 14:02Speaker 2: and just to show what a good secret keeper Siah
- 14:06Speaker 2: is or whatever it is. And then we have to
- 14:10Speaker 2: sit down between bren and Jenna and Jessel and Povet,
- 14:17Speaker 2: which is the recap because of the COVID in the
- 14:19Speaker 2: Scotland's and Povett just immediately sits down and says something
- 14:24Speaker 2: a guy would would naturally just say, which is like
- 14:27Speaker 2: that she's bipolar. Yes, And then all the women panic
- 14:33Speaker 2: because they're like, oh, you can't say that. But then
- 14:38Speaker 2: Brenn says that Aaron told her that Povet wasn't wearing
- 14:41Speaker 2: his ring. Jessel's you know all of it. I mean,
- 14:45Speaker 2: if you were on this cast, what would your response
- 14:48Speaker 2: be to Aaron in sized constant involvement in Jessel's marriage.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I think they just don't like Jessel.
- 14:54Speaker 4: I agree, I think they don't like Jessel, and I
- 14:56Speaker 4: think they're just going hard for her at any opportunity
- 14:59Speaker 4: they can find to dig at it or to you know,
- 15:02Speaker 4: make it, try to twist it, make it look bad,
- 15:04Speaker 4: make it look like there's marriage problems. They just they
- 15:07Speaker 4: take it. But you know, I mean, Aaron was mad
- 15:09Speaker 4: about somebody mentioning divorce and she got so pissed about that.
- 15:12Speaker 4: But she's I mean, they're constantly, you know, trying to
- 15:16Speaker 4: tear down Jessel's marriage, which I think is worse. I'd
- 15:19Speaker 4: rather have someone just make it, make one comment, like
- 15:22Speaker 4: a joke, like ha ha, let me know when you
- 15:24Speaker 4: get divorced. I mean I would take that over someone
- 15:27Speaker 4: consistently repeatedly tearing down my marriage every time I'm around them.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you in this moment, you actually see
- 15:36Speaker 2: Jessel get emotional, like it's starting to hit her like
- 15:39Speaker 2: as much as she's And I think that Jenna is
- 15:43Speaker 2: being a good friend to Jessel, like she's saying to
- 15:46Speaker 2: her things like listen, you don't have to find things
- 15:50Speaker 2: to relate to these other girls about like you're trying
- 15:53Speaker 2: to find a connection where there's not a connection. And
- 15:55Speaker 2: I think all she's.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Trying to find a connection and the other person has
- 15:59Speaker 4: to reciprocate or there's no there's no connection, right, And
- 16:03Speaker 4: if they're not gonna reciprocate, you're never gonna make a connection.
- 16:05Speaker 4: So at some point you have to just back out.
- 16:07Speaker 2: You have to just back out. And and I think
- 16:09Speaker 2: Bred made a good point. She's like, I guarantee if
- 16:11Speaker 2: one time Jessel stood up for herself in a dramatic way,
- 16:15Speaker 2: then Cy would probably start kissing Jessel's ass. But the
- 16:19Speaker 2: fact that she knows she can string her along and
- 16:22Speaker 2: make her feel like shit is you know, well, that's
- 16:29Speaker 2: pretty much. That's that's New York. Let's take a little
- 16:33Speaker 2: break and then we'll come back and we'll talk about
- 16:35Speaker 2: Salt Lake City. All right, so we are back to
- 16:49Speaker 2: talk about all things Salt Lake City. I recently just
- 16:52Speaker 2: saw Angie when I was at the horse show and
- 16:55Speaker 2: she was there.
- 16:56Speaker 3: She was there her daughter rides. So she had on
- 17:01Speaker 3: the goggles, the pink ones.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Yeah it's her welding. Yeah, her like she's going to
- 17:09Speaker 4: put together a steel building. Later, she had them on.
- 17:12Speaker 2: She said she was going to send us some for
- 17:13Speaker 2: the pod. And I was like, well, don't sleep on that,
- 17:15Speaker 2: because we need them. Before this wearon's over, we will
- 17:18Speaker 2: wear them.
- 17:20Speaker 3: It starts off, where Angie pulls Meredith aside to address
- 17:22Speaker 3: the rumors about her husband. Meredith says she has no
- 17:25Speaker 3: idea what Angie is talking about, but there are rumors.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Angie says that Meredith has gone after every marriage in
- 17:32Speaker 3: the group, but she is the only one spreading her
- 17:34Speaker 3: legs outside of her marriage. Heather says she's heard the
- 17:37Speaker 3: rumor before, and you taught people always say male hair
- 17:41Speaker 3: dresses are gay.
- 17:42Speaker 2: If a guy wears a cart again, they think he's gay.
- 17:45Speaker 2: How do you feel about how so I'm using a
- 17:47Speaker 2: gay husband.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Rumor on the show. That was a lot of questions
- 17:52Speaker 4: in there, and that's okay. First of all, I like
- 17:56Speaker 4: Meredith's statement. What was it? I didn't hear any rumor
- 18:00Speaker 4: or No, what did she say? I didn't say any rumors,
- 18:02Speaker 4: but I heard this or something. I mean, she could
- 18:04Speaker 4: contradict say it again. Essentially, what mereth is saying is
- 18:08Speaker 4: I said I heard rumors. I didn't say what they were, right, Yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 4: which is worse. Which is always worse to me. I know,
- 18:15Speaker 4: I told you we talked about this before. I can't
- 18:17Speaker 4: stand that, you know, I had to deal with that
- 18:19Speaker 4: last season, with the whole someone said something about you,
- 18:22Speaker 4: but I'm not going to tell you what they said,
- 18:23Speaker 4: because you know, I just keep it in the vault.
- 18:25Speaker 4: But it's like, then you've got two choices, either say
- 18:28Speaker 4: what it is or shut up, Like I hate that
- 18:30Speaker 4: middle intermediary. I'm still a good person because I'm not
- 18:33Speaker 4: telling you exactly what it was. So I guess that's
- 18:36Speaker 4: Meredith's position, is like I just threw it out there
- 18:38Speaker 4: to everybody that there's rumors, but I didn't actually say
- 18:41Speaker 4: what the rumor is. But Monica had no problem saying
- 18:44Speaker 4: the rumor over and over, and that reminds me what
- 18:48Speaker 4: you said about Sutton, where like her face lights up
- 18:50Speaker 4: when she says something I felt like that was Monica.
- 18:53Speaker 4: She's like, well she I heard, Well let me tell
- 18:58Speaker 4: you what it was. I mean, how many times did
- 18:59Speaker 4: you repeat it? I mean she must have said it
- 19:01Speaker 4: four times.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Well, I think it essentially went like this. It's like
- 19:04Speaker 2: Mereth said that when she was the rumors, and she
- 19:08Speaker 2: was all, I like how she says rumors. I know,
- 19:13Speaker 2: so Meredith set it up. But then Whitney took the
- 19:17Speaker 2: ball and essentially went gave a little softball to Monica,
- 19:23Speaker 2: and then Monica headed out of the ballpark, like I
- 19:25Speaker 2: think it okay, but then the effort it was.
- 19:29Speaker 4: It was the team effort on everyone's part, except for
- 19:31Speaker 4: Lisa Barlowe, who's just happy that everybody's there having a
- 19:33Speaker 4: good time. She's like, but okay. So how did Monica
- 19:38Speaker 4: know the rumor? Did Meredith tell Monica or is this
- 19:41Speaker 4: just something Monica heard on her own in Salt Lake,
- 19:44Speaker 4: just independently, not from Meredith. That's my question.
- 19:48Speaker 2: All I know for certain is what's not a rumor
- 19:52Speaker 2: is that Mary is so rude to all service staff.
- 19:57Speaker 2: I can't even take it.
- 19:59Speaker 4: I know, you know know what I'm over Mary. I
- 20:01Speaker 4: found her slightly amusing in like the first couple episodes
- 20:04Speaker 4: and now when she wanted pizza and it's a go
- 20:06Speaker 4: box at somebody's party and she didn't understand why they
- 20:09Speaker 4: didn't have a box, and then they were trying to
- 20:10Speaker 4: explain they didn't want to touch it and said, you're
- 20:12Speaker 4: just like lazy, what a root? Oh man? Can they
- 20:16Speaker 4: just get rid of her already? And then she wasted
- 20:18Speaker 4: an outfit and then she wanted to know where the food.
- 20:21Speaker 4: She's just terrible.
- 20:23Speaker 2: It really is getting me to a bad place. There's
- 20:26Speaker 2: always going to come up when a guy is a
- 20:29Speaker 2: hairdresser that they're going to be gay. There's always going
- 20:31Speaker 2: to be And I don't.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Think I don't think that's mutually exclusive to Utah either.
- 20:35Speaker 4: I think people just always.
- 20:36Speaker 2: It's a generalization.
- 20:38Speaker 4: It's just a it is a generalization. Yeah, but no
- 20:41Speaker 4: matter what state you live in.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Right.
- 20:42Speaker 2: But I think the scene between Angie and Sean where
- 20:46Speaker 2: she tells him, I think this was actually a brilliant
- 20:51Speaker 2: scene and the fact that Sean didn't get upset that
- 20:57Speaker 2: somebody called him gay. He got upset at the infidelity portion.
- 21:02Speaker 2: And this is where this couple really won me over
- 21:06Speaker 2: because it really was about, like you are saying that
- 21:10Speaker 2: I am not.
- 21:11Speaker 4: Being faithful to my wife, right, And that's the root
- 21:14Speaker 4: of the issue. It's not someone questioning my sexuality, because
- 21:18Speaker 4: let's be honest, every housewife, every house husband that comes
- 21:21Speaker 4: on a housewife. Shane's gotten called gay so many times.
- 21:24Speaker 4: He's gay, I see it constantly. But the issue is
- 21:28Speaker 4: is when you're insinuating that he's having extra marital affairs,
- 21:32Speaker 4: regardless of sexual identity, that has nothing to do with it.
- 21:34Speaker 4: He's hurt and upset because someone's making rumors that he's
- 21:37Speaker 4: cheating on his wife, and that's the problem.
- 21:40Speaker 3: And that's what the other women are so out of touch.
- 21:43Speaker 4: They're not even getting no, they're just making about they
- 21:47Speaker 4: just they're just happy to say men, it's with men,
- 21:52Speaker 4: it's men. They're emphasizing the men part.
- 21:54Speaker 1: But I do.
- 21:55Speaker 4: I love that scene too. And he actually cried, and
- 21:57Speaker 4: I felt for him because their family's so tight and
- 21:59Speaker 4: so close, and they're so worried about their daughter. And
- 22:02Speaker 4: his concern was he doesn't want anyone to think that
- 22:05Speaker 4: he would ever cheat on his wife, and he doesn't
- 22:07Speaker 4: want his daughter to ever think that he would ever
- 22:10Speaker 4: do that to his wife or to his family, And
- 22:12Speaker 4: that was It was such a profound moment. I really
- 22:15Speaker 4: enjoyed it too, and enjoyed it in a very deep
- 22:17Speaker 4: heartfelt way, Like I really felt for him.
- 22:19Speaker 2: And then I also appreciated like when they gave us
- 22:22Speaker 2: a little bit more backstory on them, like we saw
- 22:25Speaker 2: pictures of them when they first started out, and like
- 22:28Speaker 2: it just gave us a more like three sixty view
- 22:31Speaker 2: of them as a couple, where I feel like when
- 22:33Speaker 2: you come in, I think it's different when you come
- 22:35Speaker 2: in as a full housewife versus when you come in
- 22:38Speaker 2: originally as a friend of you don't get much backstory
- 22:41Speaker 2: on the friend us that then turn into housewives. So
- 22:44Speaker 2: the fact that we got a little bit more was
- 22:47Speaker 2: helpful to me.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Yeah, and I didn't I don't know much about I
- 22:52Speaker 4: actually I don't know anything about Greek Orthodox or Greek
- 22:54Speaker 4: Orthodox religion. I don't know anything about that. But I
- 22:56Speaker 4: do like that they explained how that was central to
- 23:01Speaker 4: their marriage and their life and their family and their
- 23:04Speaker 4: extended family, and that they would they they wouldn't partake
- 23:08Speaker 4: in any type of infidelity because it's is not it's
- 23:10Speaker 4: not accepted within their you know, traditional roles and their religion. Yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 4: and I liked that they explain that too, and they do.
- 23:18Speaker 4: I thought that added a layer of depth.
- 23:20Speaker 2: And they do seem like a good couple, like they don't.
- 23:23Speaker 2: They seem like they have a good mutual respect for
- 23:25Speaker 2: one another. They seem to be on the same page.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Okay, I do have I did have one problem with
- 23:32Speaker 4: that scene though. My only problem with that scene was
- 23:35Speaker 4: that she was waking up out of bed with a
- 23:37Speaker 4: robe on, getting a cup of coffee with full glam.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I know.
- 23:40Speaker 4: I was like, girlfriend, you did not just wake up.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I know, but I think that it's and I'm saying
- 23:47Speaker 2: this in a loving way, Angie, but when I saw
- 23:49Speaker 2: it at the horse show, she's like, she said one
- 23:51Speaker 2: of those things like, oh, I'm I'm I'm embarrassed that
- 23:54Speaker 2: you're seeing me without makeup on, and I was like,
- 23:56Speaker 2: oh my gosh, you look beautiful no no matter what,
- 24:00Speaker 2: and look at me like I've been up for like
- 24:02Speaker 2: eighty hundred and twenty hours. I think there's something when
- 24:05Speaker 2: you first get on the show that pressure to look
- 24:10Speaker 2: a certain way and regardless of how beautiful you are
- 24:15Speaker 2: naturally or without glam but especially.
- 24:18Speaker 3: When people are so brutal online.
- 24:23Speaker 4: They are. But I guess to me, it was like
- 24:25Speaker 4: it felt that much made it feel fake. I know, yeah,
- 24:28Speaker 4: it was like the moment was so real, and the
- 24:29Speaker 4: moment with the husband was so real, But then I
- 24:31Speaker 4: just couldn't get past the fact that she sat in
- 24:33Speaker 4: a chair and had her makeup done before I know
- 24:36Speaker 4: she had that with her husband. That was it.
- 24:38Speaker 2: I was like, I just felt like it should have
- 24:40Speaker 2: just been especially when the one part that the part
- 24:43Speaker 2: that I've loved Monica the most this entire season has
- 24:47Speaker 2: been the part with her kids where she doesn't have
- 24:50Speaker 2: a lick of makeup on. She's a hot mess. Express
- 24:53Speaker 2: she's picking up socks. Her little kid says boner like
- 24:57Speaker 2: that scene, Yeah, and another kids like that's a really
- 25:01Speaker 2: bad word, and like, yeah, you can see the relationship
- 25:05Speaker 2: and you just kind of appreciate her as a mom
- 25:07Speaker 2: in that moment.
- 25:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:10Speaker 2: And I liked that she had no glamor on.
- 25:12Speaker 3: I like that, Like she looked exactly the way we
- 25:15Speaker 3: all look going to carpool.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Yeah. Absolutely, And I appreciate women and housewives and you know,
- 25:21Speaker 4: I don't I wear makeup on camera and I don't
- 25:22Speaker 4: wear makeup on camera. I do both, but you know,
- 25:26Speaker 4: I don't feel the need to always have it on. Yeah.
- 25:30Speaker 4: I think it's just me.
- 25:31Speaker 2: I think it just depends on the person. And so
- 25:34Speaker 2: you know, you do you, but we are able to
- 25:36Speaker 2: clock it when somebody's glammed. Well, I was gonna say
- 25:39Speaker 2: going back to that scene though with Meredith. Meredith drove
- 25:42Speaker 2: me nuts though, because she ran away from every conversation
- 25:45Speaker 2: she always does.
- 25:46Speaker 4: It's just like as soon as someone goes to talk
- 25:48Speaker 4: to her and confront her that she doesn't even get
- 25:50Speaker 4: like a full sentence out. She says like, I did
- 25:52Speaker 4: not spread the rumors, and then she splits, and then
- 25:55Speaker 4: she splits again, and then she leaves and she puts
- 25:57Speaker 4: on her big cape and she exits the building. It's
- 26:00Speaker 4: like every time.
- 26:01Speaker 2: The line she said one of this a couple of
- 26:04Speaker 2: seasons ago was like, I'm disengaging, and so then she
- 26:08Speaker 2: just leaves everything. And it drives me nuts because you
- 26:12Speaker 2: can't throw a little log on the fire, watch it explode,
- 26:15Speaker 2: and then leave every time when it comes back at you.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Then we get to.
- 26:21Speaker 3: The Lisa Barlow scene where Lisa makes it all about it.
- 26:26Speaker 4: You gotta love Lisa Barlow. I she's she's she's I lovely,
- 26:32Speaker 4: She's a character. Of course. I love how she was
- 26:34Speaker 4: so triggered, like she was like she went from like
- 26:37Speaker 4: zero to one hundred. Like I felt like, was there
- 26:40Speaker 4: like thirty minutes of filming in there that they cut
- 26:43Speaker 4: out that led up to that or do you think
- 26:45Speaker 4: it was just like that? My question?
- 26:48Speaker 2: I was actually trying to decipher how much was on
- 26:50Speaker 2: that charcoterie board to see like how much time had
- 26:53Speaker 2: actually pass to get to your level. But the way
- 26:58Speaker 2: it looked was like that Andrew was just starting to
- 27:01Speaker 2: tell her story and then Lisa was like.
- 27:03Speaker 5: Damn, which She's like, wait, you you were at Heather's house. Yeah,
- 27:07Speaker 5: you went to like you were at her house. And
- 27:10Speaker 5: then she did this to me, and she did that
- 27:13Speaker 5: to you know, all of it. And then Lisa.
- 27:19Speaker 2: And her son and they're talking about the missions, and
- 27:22Speaker 2: all I could think during the pedicure portion of this was, Oh,
- 27:25Speaker 2: Lisa hasn't gotten kicked out of the petticure place yet,
- 27:28Speaker 2: like the tanning not.
- 27:29Speaker 3: That one that might have been a No, that was
- 27:31Speaker 3: the tanning salon she got kicked out.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Yeah, but I'm sure she's been kicked out of other places.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Let's let's be serious, Lisa, how many places in Salt
- 27:40Speaker 4: Lake City have you been kicked out of? True?
- 27:42Speaker 2: Let's we need a list. Then we get to Linda.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Monica's mother says Monica's daughter needs Jesus. Monica tells Linda
- 27:51Speaker 2: that she apologized for raising her in the church. Linda
- 27:54Speaker 2: says it's important to go to church every Sunday. Monica says, yeah, well,
- 27:58Speaker 2: your daughter still got pregnant at night. Teen Monica tells
- 28:02Speaker 2: Ben tells Linda to not say nasty things when she
- 28:05Speaker 2: thinks Monica is not listening. They started talking about how
- 28:08Speaker 2: they thought that they had hung up the phone, and
- 28:11Speaker 2: then Linda starts yelling, Monica's a bitch.
- 28:15Speaker 4: Made her get her out of my life, cause that
- 28:17Speaker 4: was horrible. I mean, the whole thing was horrible.
- 28:20Speaker 2: And if I were Monica, my mom would instantly be
- 28:22Speaker 2: on the Junot call list and I'd be returning that
- 28:25Speaker 2: Louis Vaton scarf that I obviously bought her when I
- 28:29Speaker 2: got my one bag for filming.
- 28:31Speaker 4: I know, I saw the scarf too, and I was like,
- 28:33Speaker 4: clearly she got that when she went to Louis Vauton
- 28:36Speaker 4: and cried, bought her one bag, she got her mama scarf.
- 28:39Speaker 4: She was like, here, wear less when we're.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Filmed, but maybe don't wear it with that headband.
- 28:44Speaker 4: Maybe not. I might want to rethink that.
- 28:46Speaker 2: But I did love the grandma.
- 28:49Speaker 4: I like the grandma too. The Grandma's funny.
- 28:51Speaker 2: She's like, don't talk.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Dirty in here, no dirty talk.
- 28:53Speaker 2: And I also didn't really understand that card game. It's
- 28:56Speaker 2: just you have the card and if you do, you
- 28:58Speaker 2: just throw it in the middle.
- 29:00Speaker 4: I don't know, it's like GoFish or something. Maybe they
- 29:02Speaker 4: just made it up.
- 29:03Speaker 2: It seemed like that. But I do appreciate that Monica
- 29:07Speaker 2: is trying to like share her life. But the problem
- 29:12Speaker 2: is Linda is trying to show us an obviously a
- 29:16Speaker 2: fake version of what their life is. Monica's not having it.
- 29:19Speaker 4: She's not having it. I actually really like Monica on
- 29:23Speaker 4: her own, when she's with her kids and family. It's
- 29:26Speaker 4: when she's with the other women that she turns me
- 29:28Speaker 4: off slightly because I feel like she's so interested in
- 29:31Speaker 4: just being an instigator. She's a tryo, which, yeah, I
- 29:35Speaker 4: don't know where she's spinning in. I don't really know
- 29:36Speaker 4: who she's friends with. I don't really know what relationship
- 29:39Speaker 4: she has with any of the women. I can't tell.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Well, on Watch What Happens Live, the way they've led
- 29:44Speaker 2: this up to it is we all thought that she
- 29:46Speaker 2: was close with Angie, but Angie said on Watch What
- 29:50Speaker 2: Happens Live she had only met Monica one time prior
- 29:54Speaker 2: to filming. Oh.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Yeah, they made it like they were good.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but one time. Come on, that's not friend, that's
- 30:01Speaker 2: not friends. One time.
- 30:02Speaker 4: No, I'm better friends with you know, the guy at Starbucks?
- 30:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean one time, I guess one time. Jinshaw,
- 30:10Speaker 2: Monica and Angie made like a TikTok video together, and
- 30:13Speaker 2: that's the time they met, and they obviously saw at
- 30:16Speaker 2: that time that Monica is going to make good television.
- 30:20Speaker 4: And here we go.
- 30:21Speaker 2: The rest is history. Then we get to the end
- 30:24Speaker 2: of the episode where Whitney tells Heather about Lisa's reaction
- 30:28Speaker 2: to Heather inviting Angie over. Whitney says Lisa was jealous
- 30:31Speaker 2: and hurt. Heather says, if Lisa wants a genuine friendship,
- 30:34Speaker 2: she should tell her about Jack's mission. Do you think
- 30:38Speaker 2: Lisa should have told Heather about Jack's mission? And why
- 30:42Speaker 2: do you think Lisa cares that Heather invited Angie over?
- 30:46Speaker 4: Well, the whole mission thing. Like, I had a that
- 30:48Speaker 4: was an interesting episode, or I mean seen for me
- 30:51Speaker 4: because I actually I'm married to a Mormon who went
- 30:53Speaker 4: on a mission, and I also have a stepdaughter who
- 30:57Speaker 4: just went on a mission. So I guess maybe what
- 31:00Speaker 4: I want to clear up about a mission just because Heather,
- 31:03Speaker 4: I felt like she made it very one dimensional, where
- 31:06Speaker 4: it's like you just go around and knock on doors
- 31:07Speaker 4: and try to convert people to mormonism't I just I
- 31:10Speaker 4: feel like it's more complex than that. I mean clearly,
- 31:12Speaker 4: they do a lot of they do a lot of good,
- 31:15Speaker 4: They do a lot of work, they.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Do a lot of volunteering.
- 31:17Speaker 4: There's a lot more to it than just work. Yeah,
- 31:21Speaker 4: I mean clearly. And I asked Shane about it and
- 31:24Speaker 4: he said, it's not selling, it's just trying to open
- 31:26Speaker 4: people up to an opportunity and then they they make
- 31:29Speaker 4: a choice their own free will. So I felt like
- 31:32Speaker 4: that was a better way to say it, maybe less
- 31:34Speaker 4: judgmental way to say it, but I know, why wouldn't
- 31:38Speaker 4: list the tell Heather she wrote a book called Bad Mormon.
- 31:41Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, it's I don't like, why would she
- 31:45Speaker 4: go to her and be like, oh, by the way,
- 31:46Speaker 4: my son's going to go on a mission when clearly
- 31:47Speaker 4: Heather has serious problems with missionaries and the church, and
